- 5:45Speaker 6: got a little fat and cock well, I walked about
- 5:47Speaker 6: six thirty.
- 5:48Speaker 13: I never hit always hit like the snooze. I hit
- 5:51Speaker 13: the off a rollover. It is six am and I
- 5:54Speaker 13: am in bed. I was like, well, we're doing this
- 5:56Speaker 13: this morning.
- 5:57Speaker 6: Let's let's go. So you're oh for one with a
- 5:59Speaker 6: new truck A good well, I still got more like
- 6:02Speaker 6: six thirty. So we made it. We made it happen.
- 6:05Speaker 6: But it was down to the wire.
- 6:07Speaker 15: I guess what, Hey, you see this panel behind me?
- 6:10Speaker 15: Put this bad wet myself not a big.
- 6:12Speaker 6: Thing, but that wh is that what? It's upside down?
- 6:15Speaker 17: Ah?
- 6:15Speaker 6: That would have been kind of good if I did.
- 6:18Speaker 5: Do you remember we kind of used to have to
- 6:20Speaker 5: do that like a nighttime radio.
- 6:22Speaker 6: Yeah, because you don't like AFR.
- 6:24Speaker 16: We just leave and we be like those aren't our panels,
- 6:27Speaker 16: and we try to do it, and I'm pretty sure
- 6:29Speaker 16: we broke the flap a couple of times.
- 6:32Speaker 6: It'll happen.
- 6:33Speaker 15: It used to go on the last segment of anfr Yeah, yep,
- 6:37Speaker 15: hand off Hester, handoff Hester.
- 6:40Speaker 6: Yeah, because you're running back, got it? I got it?
- 6:44Speaker 6: Not a big deal. Wow, clever, pretty funny if you
- 6:48Speaker 6: ask me. At that big of a deal.
- 6:51Speaker 15: That's too much, trying too hard. Has tried too hard.
- 6:57Speaker 15: But I'm fired up for this weekend, Easter weekend. H Yeah,
- 7:01Speaker 15: what are y'all doing? We're actually staying here, which is
- 7:05Speaker 15: going to be fantastic. So I'm excited to just the
- 7:10Speaker 15: kids are off school obviously tomorrow and then next week
- 7:12Speaker 15: for spring break, but just man, just to just relax
- 7:15Speaker 15: for about three days of the fam I'll uh do
- 7:19Speaker 15: radio or going to work or anything, just hanging out.
- 7:22Speaker 15: So I'm excited to sleep in tomorrow. What does that
- 7:26Speaker 15: mean for you?
- 7:27Speaker 6: What does that mean for Jacob?
- 7:29Speaker 18: Still?
- 7:29Speaker 16: Like, you know, it's still gonna be pretty early, It's
- 7:33Speaker 16: gonna be probably seven. But I don't have to like jump,
- 7:36Speaker 16: you know, jump out of bed stretch.
- 7:39Speaker 6: Yeah. Yeah, And I do miss like a morning just stretch. Yeah.
- 7:44Speaker 6: I don't really get to do that. I gotta like
- 7:46Speaker 6: sneak around.
- 7:47Speaker 5: I can have, you know, go make the coffee. Yeah,
- 7:49Speaker 5: drinking in bed.
- 7:51Speaker 6: I like that.
- 7:52Speaker 16: That sounds fun because like you know, on Saturday and Sundays,
- 7:55Speaker 16: we don't we don't get that because baseball. Yeah, so
- 7:58Speaker 16: I'm looking forward to that and is that Yeah, I'm
- 8:00Speaker 16: forty get over it.
- 8:02Speaker 6: We look forward to it's until nine last weekend.
- 8:06Speaker 16: Well, I've always been jealous of how heavy you could sleep.
- 8:12Speaker 16: I mean you slept in college again, said till nine.
- 8:14Speaker 16: I think Friday, last Friday, That's what I was like, Yeah,
- 8:18Speaker 16: that's what I meant. Last Friday's until nine. I usually
- 8:20Speaker 16: don't like to do that because.
- 8:22Speaker 6: It's like, oh, you like to do it, and I
- 8:24Speaker 6: love it, don't get to do it.
- 8:26Speaker 15: But even like when on the weekend when I don't
- 8:28Speaker 15: really love to, Like if I if I sleep till
- 8:31Speaker 15: nine on the weekend, I feel kind of bad because
- 8:34Speaker 15: my kids been up since like six forty five.
- 8:36Speaker 6: Yeah, they're still early risers.
- 8:38Speaker 5: Yeah, they're just sitting there looking at you, like, is
- 8:40Speaker 5: he like with us?
- 8:41Speaker 6: Still? Is this guy dead? Yeah? Almost? This guy's deal.
- 8:46Speaker 15: Uh So, And I don't like to do that because
- 8:49Speaker 15: I want to spend some I want to spend that
- 8:50Speaker 15: weekend time with him, right, So like eight, I'll usually
- 8:54Speaker 15: send along for eight and I'll usually wake up before
- 8:56Speaker 15: but at age so I'm at just in case situation, So.
- 9:00Speaker 6: Look forward to that.
- 9:01Speaker 5: I still have an afternoon show, but you know it's
- 9:04Speaker 5: after shoot tomorrow, I do.
- 9:06Speaker 6: It's good Friday.
- 9:08Speaker 16: Yeah, I mean, I've done a show for serious on
- 9:10Speaker 16: July fourth, But it's good Friday.
- 9:13Speaker 6: I know I said it like that too, but they didn't.
- 9:15Speaker 15: On July fourth, we celebrated America. Tomorrow we're celebrating Jesus.
- 9:19Speaker 16: So yeah, I know, I know, I know we're gonna
- 9:23Speaker 16: get that Friday money though. You know what I'm saying,
- 9:25Speaker 16: Jordan got to get that Friday.
- 9:27Speaker 6: I got you.
- 9:29Speaker 5: And then next week I'll be I'll be doing the show,
- 9:31Speaker 5: but I won't be doing it from this chair.
- 9:34Speaker 6: Where are you gonna be.
- 9:34Speaker 16: I'm gonna beat the beach, don't worry. I'm gonna bring
- 9:37Speaker 16: my equipment. You can put uh, you can put a
- 9:41Speaker 16: you know, T shirt shirts.
- 9:44Speaker 6: Thanks, So the heads up, I'm still doing the show.
- 9:47Speaker 5: It's gonna be right there with you on that little
- 9:49Speaker 5: screen up there.
- 9:50Speaker 6: Guess what, I'm not going to the beach next week.
- 9:53Speaker 6: You know why?
- 9:54Speaker 15: So I was like, now I'm gonna dig my hills
- 9:55Speaker 15: in in the in the Foxhall because of spring football sports. Yeah,
- 10:02Speaker 15: the FAM's head of the Beasta. Oh are they thank yeah,
- 10:07Speaker 15: we're here though. It's gonna be a good day. It's
- 10:10Speaker 15: gonna be a good week.
- 10:13Speaker 5: Everybody, but you, Oh god bless. What does Matt Flynn
- 10:18Speaker 5: do when he's getting it?
- 10:19Speaker 6: But not a lot?
- 10:21Speaker 15: Not a lot I spend. I spend extra time at
- 10:24Speaker 15: the office in the afternoon. So I'll stay at the
- 10:26Speaker 15: office till like five six something like that and just
- 10:30Speaker 15: get some extra work done, try to tidy up some
- 10:33Speaker 15: things going into summer. It's like this is a big
- 10:35Speaker 15: time a year for us for planning, like all of
- 10:36Speaker 15: our inventory, raw materials, we're all goods.
- 10:39Speaker 6: And trying to plan on all that stuff.
- 10:41Speaker 16: So I think were really going for like a couple
- 10:42Speaker 16: of days. Yeah, Monday, Tuesday in laws, right, Yeah, get
- 10:47Speaker 16: built in thank yeah. Man, what are you doing tomorrow there, Bud?
- 10:53Speaker 16: You got a little extra time all extra day?
- 10:54Speaker 6: Do you just have to come in? No, you don't
- 10:56Speaker 6: have to come in at all. No, tomorrow not close? Right? Yeah?
- 10:59Speaker 6: Might we pick up Anilla Shue game on Saturday? Not sure?
- 11:02Speaker 6: But tomorrow nothing problem is.
- 11:06Speaker 13: Beyond Yeah no, well, sir, Victoria has to work tomorrow,
- 11:10Speaker 13: so my now I gotta find a way to no
- 11:12Speaker 13: anno way her while I'm at home. So I'm actually
- 11:15Speaker 13: gonna be going through it tomorrow like that's actually a
- 11:18Speaker 13: big day for me.
- 11:19Speaker 5: Okay, all right, alright, Braxon, Saturday, I don't know what
- 11:23Speaker 5: you know.
- 11:24Speaker 16: You got a day off. I don't know if that
- 11:26Speaker 16: means you. I don't know your work schedule yet. We're
- 11:27Speaker 16: just meeting what your day off look like?
- 11:30Speaker 19: Uh see, Tomorrow, we actually have a family gathering at
- 11:33Speaker 19: my house. My cousin's making Jamala Apastai. We're gonna have
- 11:36Speaker 19: a big family get together, so looking forward to it.
- 11:40Speaker 19: I do have a couple of shoutouts though. It is
- 11:42Speaker 19: actually my cousins and my uncle's birthday today. So birthday today,
- 11:46Speaker 19: I loved all absolutely, that's good.
- 11:50Speaker 6: What is today?
- 11:51Speaker 16: Make sure it's nobody's birthday in my crew? Okay, Second,
- 11:53Speaker 16: we're good and braxing giving shout outs. If I forget one, no, no, that'd.
- 11:57Speaker 6: Be a bad deal. Got two of them, that's true?
- 12:00Speaker 6: Get multiple there? Did they make you do that? Oh?
- 12:05Speaker 10: No?
- 12:05Speaker 6: Okay? All organic?
- 12:07Speaker 14: I like that.
- 12:10Speaker 16: Oh man, do you remember having spring football, which don't worry,
- 12:15Speaker 16: we'll tayte, we'll get there.
- 12:16Speaker 14: Uh.
- 12:17Speaker 16: Do you remember like when you'd had that last practice
- 12:20Speaker 16: before you had the spring break and then you had
- 12:22Speaker 16: to come back, Yeah, like the last week.
- 12:24Speaker 15: It wasn't every year, but there was one or two
- 12:28Speaker 15: spring uh spring trainings where it was two weeks of practice,
- 12:32Speaker 15: a week off for spring break, then two more weeks
- 12:34Speaker 15: of spring practice. And I can tell you that's how
- 12:37Speaker 15: much we thought of spring training. Yeah, that's what we
- 12:40Speaker 15: thought of it. That we were like, yeah, we don't
- 12:42Speaker 15: care about this that much. We'll let them go party
- 12:45Speaker 15: for a week because they're college kids, and then come
- 12:49Speaker 15: back and do some more practice and then we'll wrap
- 12:51Speaker 15: it up. So but and that's how much we kind
- 12:56Speaker 15: of care about spring practice at this table, I think,
- 12:58Speaker 15: at least for me, I'll speak for my Yeah.
- 13:01Speaker 6: No, no, you might love it. You want to want
- 13:02Speaker 6: to die. QB stats from practice yesterday, No, it is.
- 13:06Speaker 16: It's exciting when you have new for sure, because like
- 13:08Speaker 16: you see the quarterbacks though for yesterday.
- 13:14Speaker 6: Going to Taylor here.
- 13:16Speaker 16: Uh, you and I were a little bit different like
- 13:19Speaker 16: in spring, like we did have kind of position battles too,
- 13:22Speaker 16: though for us, like internally that wasn't going to be
- 13:26Speaker 16: the final. Say you're gonna have that true battle in
- 13:30Speaker 16: training camp, but I'd be sitting there like, hey, can
- 13:32Speaker 16: you stop bringing in five star running backs please? I'd
- 13:36Speaker 16: like to like just hang out in the spring. But
- 13:38Speaker 16: every year, you know, bringing in two or three I
- 13:40Speaker 16: don't make cuts. Is there gonna be a red tag
- 13:44Speaker 16: in my locker when I go back? Is that an
- 13:46Speaker 16: option here?
- 13:48Speaker 5: No?
- 13:48Speaker 16: Okay, good good? Let me go win the Alvin Roy
- 13:52Speaker 16: Award here for spring practice. The al Roy Award. I
- 13:58Speaker 16: heard about that one.
- 14:00Speaker 6: Shout out though, shout out a legend.
- 14:02Speaker 5: I had a legend, Moffatt, you should tell the legends there,
- 14:05Speaker 5: boll here's a shirt.
- 14:08Speaker 6: Well, you never got it. Here's a T shirt. Good spring, buddy.
- 14:11Speaker 6: I got a plaque, sir, excuse me. I got a
- 14:15Speaker 6: plaque in a drawer. I got it.
- 14:22Speaker 16: I got those along with gosh, what was it, Bradley
- 14:25Speaker 16: Dale piveto wild Tigers, some special team something.
- 14:29Speaker 13: We had steel Cats in high school. Okay, it was
- 14:32Speaker 13: a it was a like an off season thing, part
- 14:36Speaker 13: on the field, part in the weight room. If you
- 14:38Speaker 13: hit like certain goals, because we were the Wildcats and
- 14:40Speaker 13: you were the steel Cats. Okay, we didn't get anything
- 14:43Speaker 13: for it, but we were there.
- 14:45Speaker 6: Uh yeah, you're a steel Cat for life.
- 14:48Speaker 13: Two Tom steel Cat, remember, not a big deal. Definitely,
- 14:52Speaker 13: don't have a bumper sticker that says that you have
- 14:55Speaker 13: and then.
- 14:55Speaker 6: You put it on your new truck. Custom order that.
- 14:58Speaker 6: But at this point, yeah, you put definitely, how was
- 15:01Speaker 6: the new truck? It's great? You know, I didn't got everything.
- 15:04Speaker 6: You are kind of putting me on the spot.
- 15:06Speaker 13: I definitely didn't have a picture of it ready on
- 15:08Speaker 13: the TV behind you guys to uh the driveway, Yeah,
- 15:13Speaker 13: looks good in the driveway.
- 15:14Speaker 6: It was a sec okay, mister fancy.
- 15:20Speaker 13: The lights are excellent. They go all the way down
- 15:23Speaker 13: the fence. They're on the back porch as well. I
- 15:25Speaker 13: didn't put them up, and I don't have any spare
- 15:27Speaker 13: bulbs for them, so we're just gonna roll with them
- 15:29Speaker 13: till they go out.
- 15:29Speaker 6: I'll tell you what a good string of party lights.
- 15:32Speaker 6: Well make any place well there, they're solar to Matt,
- 15:36Speaker 6: I don't even know how to turn them on. Come on,
- 15:38Speaker 6: they just come on and then actually it looks it
- 15:44Speaker 6: looks good. The driveway that it looks. It looks good.
- 15:49Speaker 6: Nice job. Love it. Four door, Yeah, I had to
- 15:55Speaker 6: have the four door, guys. Yeah, I had to have
- 15:59Speaker 6: It's good. That's true.
- 16:01Speaker 5: Razors not gonna want to have to like have the
- 16:04Speaker 5: seat open.
- 16:04Speaker 6: As he you know, go.
- 16:05Speaker 13: We had to do the car seat tests and everything, like.
- 16:07Speaker 13: We brought one yesterday, set it in there, made sure
- 16:10Speaker 13: it worked good to go.
- 16:12Speaker 6: Good for you.
- 16:12Speaker 15: Those older pickup trucks that was two door and they
- 16:15Speaker 15: didn't have actual seats. It was like the flip down
- 16:18Speaker 15: little bench seat.
- 16:19Speaker 6: Yeah, the pilot seats at the back, yeah, uh huh,
- 16:22Speaker 6: the jump seats.
- 16:23Speaker 5: My dad's Zuzu I think that was that the company
- 16:27Speaker 5: it was, I think Zuzu truck.
- 16:29Speaker 6: Yeah, my mom had one.
- 16:30Speaker 16: Yeah, I had that felt special in that puppy. I
- 16:34Speaker 16: guess about the fly a plane and I feel like
- 16:37Speaker 16: I could pick up the truck. It was so small,
- 16:40Speaker 16: real quick they called a pickup truck.
- 16:43Speaker 6: I got it.
- 16:44Speaker 16: Nice job, all right, Braxton. We gotta I gotta find
- 16:46Speaker 16: out maybe Taylor does this. I gotta find a little
- 16:48Speaker 16: info about you. Where are you from? Well, I live
- 16:51Speaker 16: here in Banders I went to Central High School. I
- 16:54Speaker 16: currently in May junior in Southeastern though, Okay, so graduating
- 16:58Speaker 16: a year from now, so looking forward to it.
- 17:01Speaker 6: Central don't like that aspect of him. Southeastern we like that.
- 17:05Speaker 6: We like that Central Walker don't get along. I mean no,
- 17:10Speaker 6: they're not like huge drivels.
- 17:11Speaker 5: But I do hate how they took us out.
- 17:14Speaker 6: They took you. So that's the day.
- 17:16Speaker 13: When I was in high school, Central was in my district.
- 17:19Speaker 13: Not so much anymore.
- 17:20Speaker 5: They changed in my senior year.
- 17:21Speaker 6: Okay, do you ever get the Steel Catt Award against
- 17:23Speaker 6: the Central. They're the Wildcats too, so it wouldn't really
- 17:26Speaker 6: look that great. Well where the Wildcats, but you get
- 17:31Speaker 6: the concept Walkers. That's what I'm saying. Walker is also
- 17:34Speaker 6: the Wildcat.
- 17:35Speaker 15: So not today, all right, something new every day the

- 25:40Speaker 15: Get a little energy, get feeling good before the weekends

- 25:51Speaker 15: get get hydrated, get vitamized.
- 25:52Speaker 6: Go flow IV.
- 25:54Speaker 16: All right, I know Tatay is ready to shine here
- 25:57Speaker 16: in this segment, I will say, if we're giving like
- 25:59Speaker 16: an Elsho football spring practice report. Now, I don't know
- 26:05Speaker 16: for you, Taylor, like where you're going to go. I
- 26:07Speaker 16: don't know how much you've had a chance to go
- 26:09Speaker 16: out there. But when I asked questions, everybody starts with
- 26:12Speaker 16: the defense. Now you should expect that. I would think
- 26:16Speaker 16: you got everybody coaching staff, for the most part, returning
- 26:19Speaker 16: on defense. You got veteran players returning on defense that
- 26:23Speaker 16: have been here, like as far as guys that were
- 26:25Speaker 16: in the uniform. So if they're a step ahead, that's
- 26:28Speaker 16: obviously in spring practice kind of in general. But everybody
- 26:31Speaker 16: starts with the defense. They start with, you know, the
- 26:35Speaker 16: new transfers that are in on defense as well, and
- 26:37Speaker 16: including Taylor's favorite Lshue player of all time. So so far,
- 26:42Speaker 16: it sounds like the defense has been getting it. You know,
- 26:46Speaker 16: their licks in if you will, early in spring practice, right, and.
- 26:49Speaker 13: You expected that, right, I mean they were so good
- 26:52Speaker 13: a year ago, basically your entire staff was back.
- 26:56Speaker 6: You didn't lose a ton of guys.
- 26:58Speaker 13: I mean we talked about how good the secondary was
- 26:59Speaker 13: going to be because you have a lot of pieces there.
- 27:02Speaker 13: I mean, you replace the edge rushers, but let's be honest,
- 27:05Speaker 13: that was probably the weakest part of your defense a
- 27:08Speaker 13: year ago, so maybe you'll leave an upgrade in that spot.
- 27:11Speaker 13: So yeah, I mean the defense obviously looks better. It
- 27:14Speaker 13: looks like a unit that's been together for a few
- 27:16Speaker 13: years because they have. But the offense is coming along, guys.
- 27:19Speaker 13: I mean, these are players at practice talking about how
- 27:23Speaker 13: good landon Clark looks. I mean I had to fill
- 27:25Speaker 13: in for Paul Tuesday on AFR. Matt had Shakeem Jackson
- 27:29Speaker 13: in the studio and he and Matt asked him, I
- 27:31Speaker 13: give me one big takeaway, said, I didn't realize how
- 27:33Speaker 13: fast landon Clark was.
- 27:35Speaker 6: I mean, there is, and Lane's running him.
- 27:37Speaker 13: I mean, when you look at the eleven on eleven,
- 27:39Speaker 13: they do something called fast six six plays really really fast.
- 27:43Speaker 13: It's full eleven on eleven. First play quarterback lead for
- 27:47Speaker 13: Landon Clark. So designed QB run, second play QB drawl
- 27:50Speaker 13: for Landon Clark. Then he rolled out, couldn't find anything
- 27:54Speaker 13: took off, which which would have been about a fifty
- 27:56Speaker 13: yard touchdown. I mean, just straight up the middle.
- 27:57Speaker 6: Of the defense.
- 27:58Speaker 13: So the offenses, the offense is flashing a little bit.
- 28:02Speaker 13: The receivers, it's kind of been the same three guys,
- 28:04Speaker 13: I mean, Jason Brown and Jackson Harris kind of seem
- 28:07Speaker 13: like you're one and two right now. Winston Watkins's flash,
- 28:11Speaker 13: Trey Wilson has had some good moments out there.
- 28:13Speaker 6: But things are coming together well, not so the ball
- 28:16Speaker 6: I mean slowly, but surely. Yeah.
- 28:17Speaker 5: I think the receiver group is one that nobody really knows,
- 28:20Speaker 5: and not in a bad way. It's just you have
- 28:22Speaker 5: so many new receivers. I don't think anybody really knows
- 28:26Speaker 5: what that group's going to look like.
- 28:27Speaker 6: And it doesn't have to.
- 28:28Speaker 5: It's April to second, but that's probably the group.
- 28:31Speaker 16: And I don't know if you'd agree with this, Tayte,
- 28:32Speaker 16: it feels like that's the group that's going to have
- 28:34Speaker 16: the most competition for playing time and not that everything
- 28:36Speaker 16: else is set. I mean, again, it's April, but I
- 28:39Speaker 16: think you've got a pretty good idea of who it's
- 28:42Speaker 16: going to be.
- 28:42Speaker 20: Now.
- 28:43Speaker 16: You just don't know quite like what the running back
- 28:45Speaker 16: reps are going to be, but you know the two
- 28:46Speaker 16: guys that it's going to be. Same thing in multiple positions,
- 28:49Speaker 16: But for receiver, it feels like it's wide open.
- 28:54Speaker 13: Not the amount of players you brought in, it's the
- 28:57Speaker 13: quality of players you brought in, because I mean, you
- 28:59Speaker 13: brought in a lot of receivers, but also they're all
- 29:01Speaker 13: really really good. Like you could kind of say the
- 29:03Speaker 13: same thing about O Line in terms of you don't
- 29:06Speaker 13: know who's gonna play where, but you're more worried about
- 29:09Speaker 13: that spot because you have to basically outside of Brailin
- 29:12Speaker 13: Moore figure it out all five of those guys. So yeah, receiver,
- 29:16Speaker 13: as far as talent, as far as a depth, that's
- 29:18Speaker 13: gonna be the most competitive spot. What have you seen
- 29:23Speaker 13: talk about landing play?
- 29:24Speaker 6: Well? What about who's on Long Street? How is he?
- 29:27Speaker 6: I've seen clips weird delivery, almost like a three quarter. No,
- 29:31Speaker 6: I do not like his delivery.
- 29:32Speaker 15: I mean he's been accurate for that accuracy of the
- 29:35Speaker 15: balls that he's throwing in practice. What I mean, it's
- 29:38Speaker 15: routes on air, Like if you can't kid routes on
- 29:40Speaker 15: air and stride, you shouldn't be it out of shit.
- 29:43Speaker 13: There hasn't been a ton of eleven on eleven like
- 29:45Speaker 13: access though. That's the thing, Like it's it's been majority
- 29:48Speaker 13: routes on there. It's not kind of drops it down.
- 29:51Speaker 13: It's a little three quarter delivery shouldery. But the throws
- 29:57Speaker 13: look fine.
- 29:58Speaker 15: But again, like I'm not impressed by accurate throws, right,
- 30:01Speaker 15: you should be able to make accurate throws, but you know,
- 30:04Speaker 15: just just like that's one thing I hadn't noticed. I
- 30:06Speaker 15: hadn't seen a lot of clips of landing like his
- 30:09Speaker 15: throwing motion. I saw a couple, but the ones I
- 30:12Speaker 15: saw was kind of more of like it looked like
- 30:14Speaker 15: a team situation. The clips that I saw, I hadn't
- 30:17Speaker 15: seen a lot of him, just like routes on air though,
- 30:19Speaker 15: So I'd like to, but again.
- 30:20Speaker 13: He takes off a lot, I mean a lot a lot,
- 30:23Speaker 13: Like he's not scared to he's not scared to take off.
- 30:26Speaker 6: If but I will say, like like I don't want to.
- 30:29Speaker 15: Everybody's got a different throw in motion, and you can
- 30:31Speaker 15: like if I saw Philip Rivers throwing routes on a
- 30:34Speaker 15: first year at LSU, I'd be like, this guy's terrible,
- 30:37Speaker 15: But like, obviously everyone's got a little different motion. As
- 30:40Speaker 15: long as you get to the the finishing point of
- 30:44Speaker 15: your throwing motion, everybody, like even if you looked at
- 30:47Speaker 15: Philip Rivers, you looked at against the best thrower of
- 30:50Speaker 15: the football, you looked at it against Sarah Rodgers. They
- 30:52Speaker 15: all get to the same point at the very end.
- 30:54Speaker 15: It's just how they get to that point. So it
- 30:56Speaker 15: doesn't matter how it looks for the most part if
- 30:58Speaker 15: they get to the same spot. But I don't see
- 31:00Speaker 15: who's not getting to that point, like kind of elbow
- 31:02Speaker 15: out in front, good full extension of the hand.
- 31:05Speaker 6: I don't see that a lot.
- 31:07Speaker 13: Clerk looks more ready. But I understand everyone's gonna say.
- 31:11Speaker 13: Long Street's a former five star and he came from USC.
- 31:14Speaker 13: He played three games last year. I mean that's his
- 31:16Speaker 13: only college experience. Landon Clerk, don't care what you think
- 31:19Speaker 13: about the University of Elon. Like he played an entire season.
- 31:23Speaker 13: I mean he's a double digit starter in college football.
- 31:25Speaker 13: It makes sense that he's more ready.
- 31:29Speaker 16: What about Sam Levin, I know he hasn't done you know,
- 31:32Speaker 16: a ton as far as team stuff because he's just
- 31:35Speaker 16: kind of doing your seven or seven routes on their
- 31:37Speaker 16: different things like that, and more so for me, like
- 31:41Speaker 16: when we get a chance to go out there hopefully again,
- 31:42Speaker 16: they're a morning practice team, so kind of handcuffs.
- 31:45Speaker 6: Us a little bit minus a little part.
- 31:50Speaker 16: I just kind of want to see, like how everybody
- 31:51Speaker 16: galvanizes around him, or if they do, because that's one thing.
- 31:56Speaker 16: If you had a new quarterback and he's not able
- 31:58Speaker 16: to practice fully in the spring, but you still want
- 32:00Speaker 16: him to be the guy because again, the quarterbacks the
- 32:03Speaker 16: only guy on the team that has the ear of
- 32:05Speaker 16: the entire team. So you hope that at least that
- 32:08Speaker 16: process is happening on the field, behind the scenes whatever.
- 32:11Speaker 13: He seems like a leader out there. I mean, you know,
- 32:13Speaker 13: he's always right around the coaches. They're a eleven on
- 32:15Speaker 13: eleven and he does seven on seven routes on air
- 32:19Speaker 13: team period. I mean, he's always the one in that group.
- 32:22Speaker 13: So I mean he looks fine. Again, you know, he's
- 32:24Speaker 13: not eleven on eleven. He's not taken off and run.
- 32:28Speaker 13: You don't really get a feel for it. But I
- 32:30Speaker 13: mean he's fine.
- 32:33Speaker 6: Like that's that's that's that is tough.
- 32:35Speaker 15: I mean, it's a really good question you bring up
- 32:37Speaker 15: about because everybody's i mean, for most fun, there's a
- 32:40Speaker 15: lot of new people there, so it's a brand new
- 32:43Speaker 15: team and every year, like even back in the traditional
- 32:47Speaker 15: college football days, like every team was new because you
- 32:49Speaker 15: had people graduate and you had freshmen coming in, new
- 32:52Speaker 15: leaders on the team, and every team looked different. But
- 32:54Speaker 15: now it's like that on steroids, Like it's like a
- 32:57Speaker 15: completely new team. Yeah you got some you got you know,
- 33:00Speaker 15: you got some of like the same faces here and
- 33:02Speaker 15: there you got and that are guys that will be
- 33:04Speaker 15: your kind of your your pillars when it comes to
- 33:08Speaker 15: bringing everybody together and galvanizing that team, the guys that stayed.
- 33:13Speaker 15: But you go out there in your first couple of
- 33:14Speaker 15: practices and everybody knows on the team how much Sam
- 33:18Speaker 15: Love is getting paid, right, so it's like, yeah, we
- 33:21Speaker 15: know you're going to be the guy. And if this
- 33:24Speaker 15: was like the NFL, you'd have a five year contract
- 33:27Speaker 15: for one hundred and fifty million dollars or whatever. We like,
- 33:30Speaker 15: this is a one year deal, right, everybody's on a
- 33:33Speaker 15: one year deal. And you're not I mean, you're practicing,
- 33:38Speaker 15: but you're not calling the plays in the team period,
- 33:41Speaker 15: So like, I wonder how long that will kind.
- 33:44Speaker 6: Of take and how good does Land and Clark continue
- 33:48Speaker 6: to be?
- 33:49Speaker 15: I mean not, I'm not like saying that there would
- 33:52Speaker 15: ever be like a serious threat to Sam Levitt because
- 33:56Speaker 15: of the money that's involved, But just kind of how
- 33:59Speaker 15: that team galvanizes. I guess, uh, kind of who's going
- 34:04Speaker 15: to be that quarterback leader that comes out of spring. Now,
- 34:08Speaker 15: it's my feelings that that's not going to really matter
- 34:10Speaker 15: at the end of the day. It's all about summer.
- 34:12Speaker 15: When summer starts, that's when the season really begins to me.
- 34:17Speaker 15: But it's just interesting those those little components of how
- 34:20Speaker 15: you build a team and uh, and when it starts.
- 34:25Speaker 15: I guess from the from the quarterback standpoint, because like
- 34:27Speaker 15: it or not, quarterback is going to be a leader,
- 34:29Speaker 15: whether he's outspoken, whether he's playing, whether whatever it is.
- 34:33Speaker 6: There just the way it is. All right, we will
- 34:37Speaker 6: take a break.

- 39:43Speaker 6: make sure we got the head of the version. He
- 39:46Speaker 6: did that.
- 39:46Speaker 15: I did see it, went over there and checked it out, okay,
- 39:48Speaker 15: said clean, okay.
- 39:50Speaker 16: Good, okay, okay, okay, all right, all right, And I
- 39:53Speaker 16: was just gonna talk really loud in the part that
- 39:54Speaker 16: just didn't care.
- 39:59Speaker 15: Yes, but that is that was a h uber deep cut.
- 40:06Speaker 15: I didn't know anybody who's actually knew that. I actually
- 40:09Speaker 15: didn't know if anybody knew that as well. But apparently
- 40:12Speaker 15: Tyler Lee and Treueport Evangel we had the same music
- 40:14Speaker 15: taste back in high school.
- 40:17Speaker 6: You know a twenty yeah, twenty corridor.
- 40:20Speaker 5: Yeah, it's made its way from Tyler to the long View.
- 40:24Speaker 6: To Shreveport to Monroe. So that is ghetto cowboy. You're welcome.
- 40:32Speaker 6: You're welcome, Veton Rouge, Louisiana. I know you were dialed
- 40:40Speaker 6: in to Fernando Mendoz's pro day.
- 40:42Speaker 15: Yesterday, absolutely watching every drop back, fifty six of them.
- 40:49Speaker 6: I know you told me that coaches aren't even dialed in. No,
- 40:53Speaker 6: they're not. That NFL coaches don't even really go to
- 40:57Speaker 6: the pro days.
- 40:57Speaker 16: I would assume, like with the guy that we all
- 40:59Speaker 16: know to be the number one pick, now there's other
- 41:02Speaker 16: players like Omar Cooper.
- 41:03Speaker 6: Well, I would I would think less people would go.
- 41:08Speaker 15: Because they know right, I did make the art even
- 41:12Speaker 15: if the Raiders Raider, the Jets would take him. I
- 41:14Speaker 15: did make the argument they should trade him, should trade
- 41:18Speaker 15: the number one pick? Yeah for what Mendoza? Trade Mendoza for?
- 41:24Speaker 15: What lots of first round picks are they's going to
- 41:31Speaker 15: do that?
- 41:31Speaker 6: Jets? The Jets have four picks, and like that?
- 41:35Speaker 15: What did I there was something I had on here?
- 41:37Speaker 15: There was only like two since in the Super Bowl era,
- 41:41Speaker 15: like two or three quarterbacks taken and number one overall
- 41:45Speaker 15: that are on the Hall of Fame. Yeah, something crazy
- 41:48Speaker 15: like the recentcy of the number one pick has not
- 41:52Speaker 15: turned out great.
- 41:53Speaker 5: A lot of times, we're going to a very bad situation.
- 41:56Speaker 6: Well, of course that's you know, it's kind of the reason.
- 42:01Speaker 15: And you take you should take a quarterback when you
- 42:04Speaker 15: need a quarterback, or when you want a quarterback now
- 42:06Speaker 15: when you need them anyway, that's an argument from a
- 42:10Speaker 15: couple of weeks ago. Mendez is gonna be the numb
- 42:13Speaker 15: one pick. He's gonna be a raider.
- 42:15Speaker 5: Obviously eight O'Connell's the only quarterback on their roster right now.
- 42:19Speaker 6: I'm pretty sure a lot of experience. Sure, I guess
- 42:24Speaker 6: he's been out there. I have seen an O'Connell in
- 42:28Speaker 6: a uniform. Uh huh. He's taking snaffs. He played quite
- 42:31Speaker 6: a bit of ball. You're right about that. You're right
- 42:34Speaker 6: about that. So he's gonna be the number one pick.
- 42:36Speaker 6: I don't think anybody would be surprised.
- 42:37Speaker 16: It gets interesting, like with pick number two in the Jets,
- 42:40Speaker 16: because there's a lot of different directions that they could
- 42:43Speaker 16: go in. Uh, nobody believes they're gonna take a quarterback.
- 42:45Speaker 16: And Tye Simpson if that happens, probably at sixteen. It
- 42:48Speaker 16: is certainly not going to happen at number two. Then
- 42:51Speaker 16: you've got, you know, the Cardinals and the Titans and
- 42:54Speaker 16: the Giants. Cardinals, they need help on both sides of
- 42:57Speaker 16: the line of scrimmage. Now, the running game was horrendous
- 43:00Speaker 16: last year. Their leading rusher was under four hundred yards.
- 43:03Speaker 16: A year ago they were thirtieth. Actually they were thirty
- 43:05Speaker 16: first in the NFL and rushing. So probably gonna go
- 43:09Speaker 16: line of scrimmage, although they could go Jeremiah Love. Jeremi
- 43:12Speaker 16: Love would be you know, at number three. I get
- 43:14Speaker 16: it running back, but Jeremi Love's going top ten. It
- 43:18Speaker 16: could be the Giants at five. I don't know, Like
- 43:20Speaker 16: we'll see where. It could be the Tennessee Titans at
- 43:23Speaker 16: number four. But with the way that the draft is
- 43:27Speaker 16: looking right now, just having conversations talking with different people,
- 43:32Speaker 16: the Saints are going to get a hell of a
- 43:33Speaker 16: player at eight. Like the Commanders, And I've said it
- 43:36Speaker 16: for a month. The Commanders and the Saints are in
- 43:39Speaker 16: a great position because of the needs of the teams
- 43:41Speaker 16: in front of them. They don't have to move, they
- 43:46Speaker 16: don't have to go up. They are going to get
- 43:49Speaker 16: like it feels like somebody of the Caleb Downs, Sunny Styles,
- 43:57Speaker 16: Monsieur de Layne variety.
- 43:59Speaker 6: Is going to be there for the things. Yeah, and
- 44:03Speaker 6: I know you definitely are on the Monsord de Lane.
- 44:07Speaker 16: No, but if so, if Sonny Styles is there, who
- 44:14Speaker 16: would you rather? Okay, you got too, if you got
- 44:16Speaker 16: it right there? Both available? Who's Jacob Hester turning his
- 44:19Speaker 16: cart in for?
- 44:20Speaker 10: So?
- 44:20Speaker 16: I think Montsor de Laine is an absolute stud. He's
- 44:22Speaker 16: no doubt the best corner in this draft. But it
- 44:25Speaker 16: would be hard for me with the versatility that Sonny
- 44:28Speaker 16: Styles brings. And I love Kate Nellisbian right there because
- 44:32Speaker 16: he gives you the same versatility, it would be hard
- 44:35Speaker 16: for me not to select Sunny Styles.
- 44:37Speaker 15: I mean the way that you have certainly waxed poetically
- 44:39Speaker 15: about him, about the different places you've seen him and
- 44:42Speaker 15: talked to him, and now you are certainly doing more
- 44:44Speaker 15: deep dives into these guys just because you're NFL coverage
- 44:48Speaker 15: in the afternoon.
- 44:49Speaker 6: It's certainly going to be hard.
- 44:50Speaker 15: And that would be my pick as well, just from
- 44:53Speaker 15: the sheer fact that I'm going to stick with my
- 44:56Speaker 15: argument of you can't overspend on a corner, whether.
- 44:59Speaker 6: That's draft capital, whether that's actual capital.
- 45:04Speaker 15: So a guy like Sunny Styles is a guy that
- 45:07Speaker 15: can be more of a every play impact guy.
- 45:11Speaker 6: And look, and I get it.
- 45:13Speaker 15: Corner can be in every play impact guy if they
- 45:16Speaker 15: don't throw this direction, because that is an impact.
- 45:18Speaker 6: I get it.
- 45:19Speaker 15: And I understand the importance of having really good corners,
- 45:22Speaker 15: and even great corners, you just go at some point,
- 45:25Speaker 15: somebody's gonna over pay for one, and I just did.
- 45:28Speaker 15: I wouldn't want that to be my team right now.
- 45:31Speaker 15: Do I think Monsieur is going to be a multiple.
- 45:35Speaker 6: Year All Pro?
- 45:36Speaker 15: He absolutely could be, And I think he's gonna be
- 45:38Speaker 15: a great bro' And I love him, and I love
- 45:41Speaker 15: the way he plays, and I love how he came
- 45:44Speaker 15: in and even in a bad year for LSU football,
- 45:47Speaker 15: he was a bright spot, a guy that came in
- 45:50Speaker 15: and for a lot of guys that we would watch
- 45:53Speaker 15: and break down the film and they're like, that's not
- 45:56Speaker 15: LSU football, that's not the LSU Wait, that's not how
- 45:59Speaker 15: I want my team playing with the effort and trying
- 46:03Speaker 15: to get off blocks and fighting and biting and scratching
- 46:05Speaker 15: and straining to make every play. Well, a lot of
- 46:08Speaker 15: guys that transferred in last year on defense. They were
- 46:11Speaker 15: the guys we were like, well, that's the way, that's
- 46:12Speaker 15: how you do it. Sure, this other guy that's been
- 46:15Speaker 15: here for four years, that's not the way you do.
- 46:17Speaker 15: But these guys have come in and really adopted that
- 46:20Speaker 15: that LSUA.
- 46:21Speaker 16: Yeah, that's what we talked about when we did talk
- 46:23Speaker 16: with the team whenever Frank Wilson took over.
- 46:25Speaker 6: That's one thing I highlighted.
- 46:26Speaker 16: I'm like mons Or de Laine aj Halisey to Marcus Cooley, like,
- 46:29Speaker 16: thank you, thank you for coming in here and actually
- 46:33Speaker 16: holding up the standard of what it means to wear
- 46:35Speaker 16: that uniform even though you've been I asked him, like
- 46:37Speaker 16: in front of the whole team.
- 46:38Speaker 6: I was like, how long you've been here? Like four months?
- 46:40Speaker 16: Oh, you've been here three months whatever it was, you know,
- 46:42Speaker 16: and been here for a long time. But they had
- 46:45Speaker 16: already understood the assignment. And when you had the talent
- 46:49Speaker 16: obviously to match what we're talking about.
- 46:52Speaker 15: That's when you get a Yeah, it's all about effort,
- 46:55Speaker 15: Like this is you know, in at the high school level,
- 46:59Speaker 15: you have guys that are really talented. Uh, the next
- 47:03Speaker 15: level of college, you got guys that are really talented
- 47:05Speaker 15: and guys that work hard and nfil you guys that
- 47:08Speaker 15: are really talented and work hard, both of them combined.
- 47:12Speaker 15: So then when you get elite the level talent that
- 47:14Speaker 15: does the same way, then you get a top ten talent.
- 47:17Speaker 6: So monster will go.
- 47:19Speaker 15: But if we're choosing between both, I want the guy
- 47:21Speaker 15: that's going to probably more impact the actual point of
- 47:25Speaker 15: contact play have it, that have that opportunity play and
- 47:29Speaker 15: play out.
- 47:30Speaker 16: So yeah, Monsieur is not getting past ten tens of farthest. No,
- 47:37Speaker 16: I could see him going in this.
- 47:39Speaker 15: And we can confidently say that because of things that
- 47:42Speaker 15: we kind of shake our head at, which is a
- 47:44Speaker 15: forty time you can confidently say that, like just because
- 47:48Speaker 15: he checks all the boxes, Like if we told you
- 47:51Speaker 15: about this whole draft process as soon as the last
- 47:54Speaker 15: as soon as you take their your college helmet off
- 47:56Speaker 15: for the last time, like these guys are looking for
- 47:58Speaker 15: reasons not to draft you or at least take you later.
- 48:01Speaker 6: Yeah, and he has he's checked all the boxes.
- 48:05Speaker 15: And if somehow, even with the way he played, he's
- 48:10Speaker 15: made his arrow go up, they still have the green
- 48:13Speaker 15: ara up. Just because he goes in runs a four, three, five.
- 48:15Speaker 15: Now if he reas it four five to four. You know,
- 48:17Speaker 15: he still might go top ten, but it's not a guarantee.
- 48:21Speaker 15: I think right now it's like, yeah, he runs that,
- 48:23Speaker 15: and you're like, Okay, well that's gonna.
- 48:24Speaker 6: Be a top ten pick.
- 48:25Speaker 16: Yeah, New Orleans, Kansas City, Cincinnati, one of those teams
- 48:28Speaker 16: if he's there, is going to select him. Because ESPN
- 48:32Speaker 16: they had their four draft experts and they did like
- 48:34Speaker 16: a full three round draft, and the way they did it,
- 48:37Speaker 16: everybody got a pick and then it just kept going,
- 48:39Speaker 16: you know. So I think it was like Kiper and
- 48:42Speaker 16: then Miller and then Reed and then Yates and it
- 48:45Speaker 16: just kept going in order there. And in that style
- 48:48Speaker 16: of a mock draft, it went, we'll go to the
- 48:50Speaker 16: Saints pick it went Fernando Mendoza one, Rvel Reese two,
- 48:54Speaker 16: maw Weno out of Miami, three, David Bailey for Jeremiah five,
- 48:59Speaker 16: Kayle Lemon six overall, it's as high as I've seen him.
- 49:03Speaker 5: Number seven Caleb Downs and then number.
