0:01
We're doing this on election night, folks. What's the odds that when this posts on Thursday at 10:00 AM that we know what the hell's going on? I'll give you 5%. Five, 5% from Tony.
0:13
I'm going to play my fiddle while Rome burns. Ding, ding- [laughs]... ding, ding, ding, ding. And with that... Bow. Oh, yeah. [upbeat music] Gotta push the button to do that shit. Za.
0:30
Bay Clover. [upbeat music] Adventure. [upbeat music] With Strong- Oh... Crawler. All right. There we are.
0:48
We got that music part out of the way. Nice notepad. Right on. Hey, everybody. I'm gonna touch this thing again. How you doing? [laughs] Uh, it's- Buttons are all good... it's Full Spectrum Cycling.
1:00
This is the 279th version of this silly business we- Hey, hey, hey... do have a show called a show. Okay, I forgot.
1:06
And right off the bat, I gotta just give one shout-out to the one guy that actually listened to what we said last week. His name is Keith Pearson, and he left us a comment- Nice... on YouTube.
1:22
It said, "I think I've listened to every show as a podcast, and now that you have the video it's, it's super awesome." So he's- He's, so he's clearly our only listener... he's, Ke- Keith is our number one [laughs] fan.
1:34
How come he's not here doing a podcast with us? The number one... A fan. Like I said, he's our number one fan. We should come in and do- Well, perhaps-... sit in that chair... our only fan.
1:47
I don't think he's in the actual area. That, but we- Get him here... we do need to understand where he's from because it's important to know that not all of our fan lives in Milwaukee. Mm-hmm. And you're not a bot.
2:01
All right. Um, oh, yeah, we're not, we're not doing that right away. Okay. Yeah. Is that a touch screen? No, I was just pointing at it. Okay. Yeah, but you wanted to touch.
2:13
[laughs] There was something in the, uh, the Apple, uh, you know, pundit sphere about them potentially coming up with a touch screen version of a, a MacBook. Although, they got the iPad- Right...
2:28
with the nice- With the iPad Pro... with the nice keyboard. It's really very similar. Right. But- It's a Surface Pro... I don't like- Late... I don't like the operating system on the iPad for everything. Fair enough.
2:39
I don't like it on here for everything. Fair enough. That's two things. So can- Here's an iPad right here. No, can you go bing, bing- You can touch-... bing... and touch, and touch, touch... bing.
2:46
When I'm touching it- That's what you can do... it's going around to the camera. Camera. Interesting. Oh, look at that. Now that... It's all touch screen... and then it went over there.
2:52
Probably went over there eventually. 'Cause it's touch. It goes back and forth. If you didn't have this, I couldn't do that. Hmm. And that's what I have to say about that. Okay. Holy mackerel. Holy mackerel. Uh...
3:04
Oh, here's another thing before we get into really deep cycling-related stuff. Paco, the Placo in the fish tank, is no more. Oh, no. He passed? It's number three actually. Oh, Paco three's gone?
3:21
[laughs] Well, Paco one went, and then Paco one and two and three came, and Paco two went almost right away. This Paco lasted a couple years. I'm sad. Okay. Sad. Sorry, Paco. Yeah. Rest in peace.
3:33
Well, I don't know what happened. Did you flush him- I don't know... or bury him? Uh, Wendy discovered him and wrapped him in a towel and threw him [laughs] in the garbage. Fins up, man. [laughs] He's in filet? It was...
3:45
Yeah. You didn't eat? Paco one was meh. Yeah. Oh. There was some meat there. Oh. Yeah. You could get a- It's a ceremonial meat... get a little, uh, sliver of old Paco. I mean, why not? Yeah. Yeah.
3:54
I just watched A Wish, A Wish, A, A Fish Called Wanda. That's a good movie. Yeah. Oh. There was a lot of fish eating out of a- And th-... out of a tank... th- that's as good a movie as Godzilla's Son is a bad movie. Man.
4:08
God, I've forgotten how... I watched that when I was, like- Well, you threw the-... 12 years old. That's horrible... you threw the comment out- I know... about something about Godzilla Chili.
4:16
Uh, Godzilla Chili from- Yeah... Bakehouse 23? And I'm like, well, Son of Godzilla's on 24 too right now. Oh, and I watched it. It's a horrible... Yeah. And so- So bad... sometimes, wow. Wow. Words have weight.
4:28
[laughs] But they followed up with another great one. Oh. [laughs] I just- What the hell was that movie?... I'm just looking to see where the stuff is when it's on you guys. I know, I'm curious.
4:37
It's, what, like, when it's on me I'm like, "I got it going on." This is all new. So, uh, are we gonna go- Ah... are we gonna go with the nuptials, or are we gonna go with Bike and Brew first?
4:45
Fucking nuptials immediately. Nuptials immediately. All three of us are married. Yeah. Not to each other. Yeah. Right? Yeah. That would be kind of interesting, wouldn't it? It'd be weird.
4:53
Little polyamorous business going on up here in the old- Well, you're-... Full Spectrum Cycling Podcast. Ain't going there. Ain't going there. You, you got that in your- Neither one of you are cute enough...
5:04
you got that in your Lon Smith bloodline. Don't be- Oh, ow... don't be, don't be finger wagging at me. You. Yeah. W- well, at least we're not wearing- Oh... the magic undies. Bro. Oh. Oh, dude. Oh, dude.
5:14
Mine are buried deep in a drawer at home. Ah, there you go. [laughs] All right, so, uh, on de la, de la, de la, day, whatever the fuck you say in Spanish. Muertos All Souls Day, November 1.
5:26
November 1st on the front porch on Morris Boulevard in our fair town of- Snorewood... Shorewood, Wisconsin, uh, JK tied it, tied it, tied the knot with- With Kimberly... with the Kimberly. He's got the thing on the deal.
5:41
It was a good wedding. Ding, ding, ding, ding, ding. It was a fun wedding. It was, uh, it was fantastic. It was a fun, great wedding. It really was. This was. Good call.
5:48
It just stated from being, like, just signing it on the kitchen table to... Well, uh, the courthouse didn't do ceremonies ever since COVID. They've never reinstated it yet. So it went from there to the...
6:02
kitchen table to, uh, well, uptown [laughs] to a, to a bar and just hijack their, uh, costume party and just slide on the side and like, "Hey, do you... I do, I do, I do." Uh, it fell on my, uh, on, un...
6:21
My mom's ears. She, [laughs] her response was- "We're not doing it in a bar." Oh, no, no. It was just a big- [laughs] It was a big, "Oh," you know? Oh. That disappoint- So- That disappointing, "Oh." Yeah.
6:32
You could hear the disappointment. So it just stayed at, yeah, it just stayed from there to a park, then it was like, "Fuck it, just do it on the front porch," as we were discussing on the front porch.
6:40
So ta-da, that's how it- My, my mom, love Big Easy, rest in peace, but her big sigh was, first of all I had to start out with not getting married in a church. Yeah. Yeah. So there was a big sigh there. Yeah. Yeah.
6:54
Then the next one was my best man's gay- [laughs]... which was met with another sigh. [laughs] And then finally, to add to the tudigre, cu- coup de grace, I'm being married by a Black man. Oh.
7:09
And as a mother who grew up way too racist, that was pretty offending. Sure. But she got over it- She got through it... and everything was fine. Right on. Yep. That's good. Yeah. I had my- And it was her birthday. Right.
7:19
The hell on. Well, what a present- We got married on her birthday... to give to your mom. Right. You know? I had my mom, 89 years old, and my aunt, 90 years old. Oh, that was, the other one was your aunt. Yeah.
7:27
I was trying to figure- It was- The ring bearer was your aunt. Right? Uh, ring bearer was my mom. Oh, that was your mom. Okay. Yeah. Well, from behind they look very similar. Yes. De- definitely. Old with white hair.
7:35
Yes. Yes. Yeah. Very, very similar. Yeah. And they made it through, which is awesome. So, uh, I videoed it- It's great... and it's on, it's on YouTube.
7:44
I'll, I'll, I'll actually put it in the show notes because- I, I, I-... it, it's, it's really pretty decent. It starts from when I think Shay came out and threw the- Yeah... the petals out on there.
7:53
Yeah, went flower girl a little bit. And there's some, there's some bullshittery around with Aaron and this and that before- Yeah... the actual ceremony. Yeah, well, yeah.
7:59
Yeah, there was a, a, still a 30-pack of Hamm's- Right... on the patio, so- Yeah... we brought that inside. [laughs] And then I think I had to go inside and, uh, powder my nose. Mm-hmm. Yes.
8:10
One would say, "Go to the bathroom and powder my nose." Right on. Um- In the different way of that. In your zoot suit. [laughs] So the actual ceremony might be six minutes, maybe five. If that.
8:19
But the beautiful thing was I shot the thing, I think it turned out pretty well. Mm-hmm. And I edited it without thinking about it, just like here and here, and it was like beginning, end, 13 minutes and 13 seconds long.
8:33
As it should be. Yep. I just thought that was like serendipity. Yep. Since the pretty much on time 4:20 was the- Yeah, that was the goal... the let, the let's get going thing on it. Mm-hmm, mm-hmm.
8:45
So yeah, I wou- I would go ahead and watch that. It, it's- It was funny, because- It's 13 minutes and 13 seconds out of your life to see JK get married. I think that's pretty, pretty sweet. Yeah, I agree.
8:53
And you al- and you almost heard most of Yazz, Only You, and Elsa in there looking at me and going like, "There's a minute left of the song. Just let it go."
9:00
I thought that, I thought that- I listened to that song all weekend, dude. And I was just like, "Dude." Wendy, Wendy's like, "Oh, they got Yazz on there." I'm like...
9:07
And it, it did do a copyright little thing on YouTube, but apparently he, they, he, them, they, I'm not- They said, "Fine." They, they're like, "Yeah, we'll let that slide."
9:16
[laughs] Wedding day, we'll, we'll make sure that JK has the Yazz on there. Yeah. All right. Yeah, it was good. That, that, that was- Thank you, Vince Clarke... like the next day I'm like- I'll say it's Vince.
9:24
I'll say it's- Yeah, I was like, "Wait a minute. Why is this song in my head?" I'll say it's Vince. And I'm like, "Oh, I know why. This is an awesome song." Yeah. All right. It was a good event.
9:32
And then I- You did well, sir... I wanted to close it out with, uh, "Come fly with me. Let's fly. Let's fly away." Jerry was there. He could've sang it. Uh, we, the version I had going was Shaggy. Nice.
9:43
Which is actually a fun damn version. [sings] Yeah. Oh, yeah. Produced by Sting in Rihanna. Right on. And Jerry was there, and he... Yeah, I totally could have like... Yeah, I had a couple franks in there.
9:55
My mom got a picture. Number one fan. Oh, and, and that was- I like to repurpose the Jerry whenever possible. [laughs] Uh, that was a wedding gift.
10:04
We were getting, uh, bistro seats for his holiday show at the estate when it does open up for special events. That will be fun. I might- That will be cool. I might go this- I don't wanna be-...
10:14
because I don't know how many more times we can go see Jerry. I don't wanna be in the, uh, I love my percussion, but I hate being next to the damn percussion- [laughs]... in that nice...
10:23
I, I, I just know that Jazz Estate. Even though they closed, I still know the acoustics of that damn room. Speaking of closing, what the hell is with Daily Bird closing? What's the scuttleclush? It's a good question.
10:34
It's a really good question. They made no notices- Birds... about it. Oh, Daily Birds? Um- What's about Center? What is it about Center? Right? Yeah. Like right there. I think it's, it's- Well, I'm gonna guess they-...
10:45
it's ripe for drag racing now, I'll tell you that much... well, I'm gonna guess they don't own the building. The rent's probably- No... pretty high. The guy that owned Company owns the building.
10:54
He owns Company and that building? No, no, he didn't- And Pat owns everything else? He, he did not, he did not own the Company building. He owned the business.
11:01
But the guy that owned Company business owns the building that Daily Bird is in. Oh, my. So did it get caught up in the- Yes... well, bankruptcy? Did they- Yes. Oh. Possibly. Oh, okay. So somehow- That makes, yeah...
11:14
that may, that may do some ma- uh, maybe they'll get that- It's election night distraction talk. Well, I- Welcome to- Where's, where's my phone? I will say this.
11:22
While we were talking about Center Street, you know that we used to have this hostel on Center Street? Yeah. How much money did you make off that? I broke even. Get out of here. And I thought I was gonna lose everything.
11:33
Get out of here. Get out the back door. All of a sudden I got a random email saying, "Hey, we are selling the building. Are you interested in getting back your investment?" In which case I responded, "Hell damn yeah."
11:42
Yeah, no shit. And I did. No, keep it. Just put it in the- I got it ran back. I mean, granted I only threw 1,000 bucks at her, but, but- Yeah, I remember that. I was like, yeah. It was a, it was a good call.
11:50
Yeah, grabbing the $1,000. Yeah. Thank you. And I was like, "Whoa." So now it's the AODA place- AODA... and I think they're doing okay with it.
12:00
So I hope, I hope it works out well, 'cause it seems like a good idea for them It's a good fit for people who need some help It used to be a bank, right? Yeah, it was a bank. Okay. Oh, such a beautiful building.
12:09
'Cause it looks- Yeah, it's a great building... I mean, yeah, the, the facade- When we moved in-... is very delightful... all the beds for the hostel, I'm like, "God, this is such a great building." Built like a tank.
12:20
All right, so JK's wedding- Like a bank... got that out of the way. Yeah. You got that out of the way in less time than we talked about it here on the show today. No shit. Yeah, yeah. It was, like, super swift. Yeah.
12:29
Um- I actually, I, I'm, I'm gonna have to watch it from, like- Did you watch it yet? Uh, I started to. [laughs] I kinda, like, went through... I was there. Hey. It's like you're like the podcast. I was there.
12:38
You're gonna show your- Of course... you're gonna show your freaking grandkids this, I'll tell you what. Well, I have, uh, reserved the, uh, [laughs] the, uh, the knowledge that it is on the YouTube [laughs]
12:51
to the better half now. Uh, and- That's probably... I didn't really... You know, it's- Whatever it does- You guys were out in the middle of the street. It's public. Oh, I'll put a... Da, da, da, da...
13:00
we're public domain. We're like Winnie the Pooh and- Yeah... fucking- And Tigger, too... show Silver Spoon or something. All right. So you know what happened the next day? Dun-dun-dun. Oh, that was fun.
13:09
Bike and brew ride. That- Holy shit was that a good time That looks like it would've been great except- [laughs]... I couldn't get up. Ian is quite possibly the most positive fucking human you will ever meet.
13:20
Yeah, it is, it is unbelievable. Uh, does he have... He has kombucha. What does he drink? Kombucha. Kombucha. There's some boo-... It's just like, damn. I know. He's got the strongest hands I've ever felt.
13:30
He's like- I know. He's very, he's very, very solid... he's a solid- Solid... young man. He always cracks me up. He's going, like, I, every... He's like, "I've never not seen you without a beer in your hand."
13:39
[laughs] I'm just like- Well, he's- Yeah, but at the time it's like he's-... he's got a gluten issue, so he's not a beer guy He's a gluteard. Yeah, that's what he said. But we, but we went to- All breweries...
13:47
five breweries. Five? Yeah, I think so. Whatever. There, there'll be pictures in the show notes of at least a few of them. Well, I don't know if you can call Sprecher Brewery... Oh. Oh, yeah. That's a...
13:55
Well, it is a soda factory. Yes. I mean, that's where they do lean on the soda as their- They better because their beer-... their biggest money maker... quite plain, sucks.
14:06
No, they got the Pineapple- It was amazing how bad it actually was... right? Pineapple- That pale ale was so bad... go to Pineapple Express. It's always- Oh... it's tried and true. Oh, I might have to try it sometime.
14:15
It's eight, 8, 8%. No. Even when- I don't want that. I'm riding a bike... even when you hate it, it only takes you two and you don't care. The fun part about that was we left Sprecher- [laughs] That's the best...
14:27
and we were, we were sag. Geez. So we were keeping up with... We were, you know, making sure no one got dropped. Yeah, we actually... We have a story about the beginning too, but- Y'all were the sweepers...
14:36
we were the sweep, exactly. We were the sweep, yep. And, uh- And we did sweep... poor young couple got some bubbler bikes and- Kept running into curbs? Oh, they got hosed, Timmy. They got hosed bad. I mean,
14:49
the one had no battery. The shifter was broken. It was even off, like, the axle- Like, hanging... hanging there... it was bouncing as he rode. Yeah. Well, did they run into things to- No...
15:01
activate some- These were two... Uh, they were a young couple from Chicago. Yeah. Okay. They were just visiting town. No, I, yeah, I just have to ask. I mean- You know-... it could be just like they were wasted...
15:07
we had to ride with them- Okay... from North Avenue to Estabrook Park for them to exchange these horrible bubblers for- Yeah... good bubblers, and then they were great. Then they had a blast.
15:20
[laughs] Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, it was just so sad coming down the Oak Leaf, and I'm like, "Where the, where the hell is Tony?"
15:26
And 'cause I thought when you said, "I gotta wait for these two people," I thought it was the guys that were blocking traffic on Oakland. Like, you know, I thought, "What are those guys taking so long to catch up?"
15:37
And then I, and then I, I went back and caught up with you guys going backwards, and I'm like, "Oh." Yeah, yeah, yeah. And this guy is just, like, total hamster wheeling. He is total spinning. And he's this guy...
15:45
It's, it's only in first gear, and it's like... I was about to yell at him. Sweating his ass off. I'm like, "Shift into third." And then I looked and I saw the shifter just bouncing. I'm like- Yeah...
15:53
"Oh, dude, you got hosed." Well, I got it back on there. Oh, speaking of getting hosed- He did... Yeah, and then he, he, he did do three speed to checkpoint. I j- I s- I said, "Don't shift. Just leave it."
16:04
I can't bring this... I guess I can bring this home right now. Fuck. Yes. I was hoping I would- Here is the b- I was hoping I would never see this again. No, no, no. Oh, this is for...
16:11
This is more wedding, uh, bu- wedding planning... and this is the Bub Boyle's- [laughs] Yes. As it sat there- Hey, turn it on in here... it- I can't. I... Well, unless you got a USB charger. I didn't bring the brick.
16:21
That was the other- Eh, I could do that. Eh, it's in the other room. You realize it j- all it did- Hey, save... Leave it here for next week. We'll have bubbles next week. Definitely. We're having bubbles next week.
16:30
We're having bubbles next week. All it did, all it did was bl- like, m- part of the ceremony [laughs] that it just hit. It, it was just hitting, uh, Rushmore Bill.
16:40
As it was hitting- But the bush was covered in bubbles, too, which I loved. [laughs] That was great. But yeah, it was great. All right. Did you guys look at the show notes at all? Yes.
16:49
Do you have any idea how much shit we have on here? Well, we have the Pro, uh, Pro Closet reopening. Yeah. How'd that happen? I guess- Right?... somebody thought that was- Someone decided it was working, bought it.
16:59
Okay, but here's, but here's the deal. I wonder if they bought... Because they had auction. If you would've seen what was being auctioned off, you'd be like, "This is a tech startup."
17:08
I can't believe how much stuff they had. Mm. Pinball machines and millions of desks- Oh, yeah... and just, like, it was s- they got...
17:16
Whoever bought them the last time must've thrown a bunch of money at it, because there was a lot of stuff there. Wow, I didn't know that. And then, and then suddenly it's now being... Now it's back again, I guess. Hmm.
17:28
So we'll find out. We'll see. Just seems like burning cash like that is sort of like... Do you make that much money selling bikes? Billionaires might. Maybe, if billionaires are buying- Or they don't care... bikes.
17:40
Yeah, that could be, too. I'm trying to be savvy and get into it right now. Oh, man. I'd like to, uh, mention that I still have my American Heart Association 100 Mile in November thing going on.
17:50
Yes, and thank you- Uh, which I, which I burned off most of it... Well, not most, not most of it, but a quarter of it on the bike and brew ride. Right. [laughs] And the launch of it on the nuptials. Oh, yes.
18:03
The, the- So we'll, we'll-... the initial two and a half miles were going to- I, I don't remember talking about this last week, but I'll do it Do what? 100 miles.
18:10
Well, yeah, you could do it in two days, or five days- Right, right... or eight days or whatever. It's a... You know what would be a good day to do it? Tonight. It's fucking wicked nice out there.
18:17
It's- It's like 60 degrees- Nice and humid... misty. Yep. Wonderful weather to ride in. For November. If it were a little cooler, it'd be even better. For November, I mean, come on. Oh, right.
18:26
And so on Clunker, oh, that, [laughs] that coaster brake just s- skids out just nice out. Oh, especially in leaves and moisture. Yeah, it just z- Yeah, I- I- I mean, you don't really have to try that much, but- No...
18:39
you look cool. No. And feel- And leaves can be as slippery as ice. Well, yeah. I would be very wary of them- Oh, I'm wary... knowing how slippery ice is, with my head. [laughs] Mm-hmm.
18:47
I, no, but I trust leaves more than ice. Yes, true. So... Did I mention last week that we recovered the bike that was out front and where- Yeah... the whole story behind it? You didn't, but we know whose it is now.
19:01
Right, but we didn't last week, right? We knew the bike was there, but we didn't know who it was. Or did we? Whatever. Uh. It's still in the other room. But we know whose it is.
19:10
Yes, and it's going back, but it's still in my space, so I wanna get it back to [laughs] the person- Get out of your space... that owns it... and speaking of space. Get out of my- [bell ringing] What, uh, are we doing?
19:20
Oh my goodness, what is that? Oh, so these are, these are nuptial beers. [laughs] Yeah. Yeah, these are leftover nuptials. I couldn't believe how much actual booze was there. Uh, yeah.
19:32
So s- I- I did, I did- I bought, I-... drink some of your tequila, thank you very much. Yeah. That's what- [laughs]... it was there for.
19:37
That was the funny part, it was like, okay, you got a 30-pack of Hamm's and a 12-pack of Zombie Dust. A 15-pack of All Day. Uh, and w- you brought that.
19:47
I mean, I'm just talking about- I brought, uh- Oh, no, like- Oh, you're wrong... our purchasing. Uh- How much, how much-... 11 bottles of Beaujolais. That's the, the red stuff. Yeah.
19:55
I brought, uh- And then we ended up with, uh, more bottles of wine at the end than [laughs] the 11- Yeah, Mike-... we started with. [laughs] Yeah, Mike- Perfect. That's the way a wedding should be...
20:07
Mike sent me, Mike sent me a note saying, um, r- uh, "White or red, uh, should I bring white or red wine?" I go, "I don't think I've ever seen white wine in their house." Right. Oh, fair enough. Yeah, yeah.
20:17
When you said that before- [laughs]... I'm like, "I have no fucking clue what you're talking about." No, it's 'cause Mike asked what he could bring. Oh, all right. Yeah.
20:21
And, and- I brought that really incredible, and I'm gonna go get it again from Otto's- Bubbles Rishi... uh, well, I brought the bubbles. [laughs] Bubbles.
20:28
[laughs] No, I'm gonna go get the, I had that weird combo pack from, uh, Three Sheeps- Oh, yeah, yeah... which included an amber, and I'm normally not an amber person, but it was- I think-... damn drinkable...
20:38
I still have, yeah, there's two Three Sheeps at my house. In the wings. One, one is a, yeah, an amber- The Waterslide and-... and the other was, like, a th- The Homestead or something?
20:50
I, um- They're both drinkable, dude. I was shocked. I didn't touch them yet 'cause they were, they look odd. I was scared.
20:58
[laughs] No, I just wanted to clean all the cheesecake and all the other damn shit out into the world. There's cheesecake everywhere. So- That's what happens when you have a cheesecake as your wedding cake. Yeah.
21:08
I'm thinking about, you know, how I can keep this place moving along and posted some bikes, so now I have a set of wheels I wanna get rid of, so they're- They are an 18...
21:18
they're, um, Velocity fat bike wheels, head rims, very nice wheel set, and I was gonna, I pulled the tires off today just to get the rims, the, you know, the wheel set ready 'cause it, you know, I'm not, tires, whatever, whatever.
21:33
And apparently I had repaired a tire that was a tubeless with a tube at some point in the past. Mm. You would not believe how hard it is to- To get it off? Yeah.
21:44
Yeah, it's like totally- It, it becomes one with the tire, right? I think it's- It's totally glued in there... that's why I always feel like with that fucking low side set I got- Oh, yeah... keep going.
21:51
[sighs] It's just like th- th- there was some- something somewhere around the way- It's gonna be... happened, happened. Yep, yep. Or somebody used something that, uh- It's gonna be-... wha, da, da, da, da.
22:00
'Cause that is not easy. It's gonna be unpopular to say, but fuck you tubeless people. No, I'm, I, well- Just fucking put a tube in it. I, so here's, here's what I've- Don't give us shit... come to understand about that.
22:11
If you're riding the same bike all the time, and you're in cer- Tubeless... and y- and you're in certain situations where that might be beneficial, that's great.
22:19
But if you have a bunch of bikes and you ride them often, but rarely the same one, then you do not wanna be tubeless. And you're not John Trusky, who spins his tires every time he walks out. Does he do that? Yeah.
22:31
Does he have it upside down and he's like, or hanging on the wall? He, he, yep, and he spins them every time. He's- Yeah... he's hilarious about his tubeless. He's toast- Well-... he's toasting...
22:38
he should be on the podcast. But that's- He's toasting... he's, he's been on. We haven't, we need him more. We have to get him- Yeah, he's been on ages. Well, he can't come down anymore 'cause he lives too far away.
22:46
[laughs] Well, he gave us the best route, uh- [laughs]... back and forth- Mm-hmm... to the fucking rave, man. That- Oh, cripes, is it, is it Election Day? Tuesday, November 5th. Ah, yeah. Hey, guess what?
22:58
Fuck, I forgot to vote. Guess what? I'd, I'd ha- Oh, we had to vote last week. I had no idea- Right there, look, I voted today. I did not. I voted the other day. I voted a few- Of course... days ago.
23:06
But I had no idea that there's, November 7th is a different day. You mean two days later? Two days f- from when we're doing this, but the day this is posted is, it's called Drunk Cyclist Day. Ah, yes.
23:19
[laughs] Um, it's also, i- in a totally more serious manner- But it is Drunk Cyclist... it is also a different day. You don't think drunk cyclist is serious? Well- Serious as a heart attack, man...
23:28
but let me, let me make it a little more serious, but the 7th will be the day we brought Daniel home- Let's sing a song of seven... five years ago. How many is seven? Wonderful.
23:40
I thought we, I thought Daniel had only been in the hospital for, like, four days. Oh. It turns out it was a [laughs] hell of a lot more, 'cause he was born on the 23rd.
23:45
Remember- Did we already do, did we already do this? Yeah, we did. [bell ringing] Remember, remember. What's that? What is that? What is this? What is this, McDonald's? Let's cover that up till after the show.
23:54
[laughs] Now you understand. It's a little peek. It's not a celebration. It's, don't be cavalier. All right, so, uh, this- I, I have big arms up for the audio You see that...
24:04
this business has been sitting up here for a couple weeks, these m- these mugs. These are- Black coffee in bed...
24:10
these Minmin mugs Podcast MKE mugs, which is the studio, and hopefully coming soon to a rentable space- Theater near you... near you.
24:19
But I got three of them because I was giving one to each of you guys for your morning- Oh, is this is mine?... coffee, and I for- I forgot to do it [laughs] the last couple years.
24:27
I will have a cup of coffee in this tomorrow. Well, what I like about these things is they are- They have a high height...
24:33
it's, it's the same, it's the same print-on-demand place that did the shirt that I had, and these are very affordable to put your own logoization on it. They're lopsided. You're lopsided.
24:46
No, it works this way because instead of it being there, and you only get the logo- Give me that... on one side- Oh, you're talking about the... Yeah...
24:53
or you put the logo on the other side and only you do- We could do that... only you are drinking it. Put the MKE- This way it's on the side, and you don't know. See, your, your eyes are crooked.
25:02
Or you wrap it all the way around. My eyes are bad, but- Yeah, crooked bad. Anyway, so those are, uh- Don't make me explain the art... those are, those are- Oh, you might be right. It's... Those are also 15-ounce mugs.
25:10
Yeah. So I can have a cup of coffee in this tomorrow? Yeah. Well, I'd wash it out a little bit. Well, I will, of course. Also, don't put it in the dishwasher. 'Cause it'll disintegrate? I don't know.
25:19
I think it might just more affect the, uh, the appliqué, just like everything. Why you gotta point that out? God. Here, rinse it out. Because. You know, rinse it out with the bubbles. China. Yeah.
25:32
It's gonna, it's gonna have some sort of- Well, it, I don't- Well, soap is not just- It's not my mug, but... isn't it the fucking soap water? [laughs] Right? Am I not wrong? It pretty much is. Am I not wrong?
25:40
[laughs] Right? But wait a minute, JK. Oh, wait. Oh, Greg, we can do this one. The wand is included. Are you talking about bubbles? Yeah, I am.
25:50
Yeah, you're gonna drip sh- shit all over the, our shit, and then there'll be shit dripping and dripping shit. I can't get these things out- Here he comes... to save my soul. I hate these things. Walking down the street.
26:04
Get the funniest looks from... everyone we meet. Hey, hey, we're the Monkees. I don't know what made me think about that, but that's what I'm thinking about. I went to see them in '86 at the State Fair Parks- As a-...
26:18
as a 14-year-old. [laughs] Was Mike- Remember? So Michael Nesmith was there? Mm, uh, no. He's m- he's not here. Nope, nope, nope, nope. What? God dammit.
26:25
No, that was the beginning of the, "I'm not gonna deal with you guys." What? Yeah. Wow. But- You had, you had such an opportunity...
26:33
it was the, yeah, but it had Herman's Hermits and, uh, all those- Oh, I remember that... Herman's Monster. It was, it, yeah, it was like the fucking '60s revival bullshit. Jesus H. Christ. Oh, yeah, this sucks.
26:46
All right, that's going away. I don't have my OtterBox on. You gonna [laughs] You wear an OtterBox? Douse me in... No, but the guys that- I got, now I have, now I have bubble goop all over the non-touch screen over here.
26:56
That's, mine's a non-touch screen. I wanna touch my screen. Oh, I wanna touch me. When I think about you, I touch my MacBook Pro. Yeah. Oh, I was gonna be wholesome and go to Woody Houston.
27:10
When I think about you, I touch myself. Boop. Boop. Oh, I wanna touch somebody. This is going downhill quickly. Yeah. Well, it's the end of the show anyway, so I don't know. We started late, though. We should keep going.
27:18
Well, there's, so there's a ton of stuff in the show notes about, um... Let me do this real quick.
27:24
About Global Fat Bike Day and stuff that's happening, and it's coming up on December 7th and/or 8th, and/or 6th, depending on where you are, but this is our alleged, uh, Santa Rampage day two also. Oh, it is. Yeah. Yeah.
27:38
Not, yes, not day two of 14 days, but just day also. Um, I don't even know what to do with that December 7th day. Like, in the past, I don't, like, Lunz and I and other folks have gone to other cities.
27:53
If it feels good, if it feels good, do it. Well, the ones that have been- But I always end up, I always end up just in Milwaukee just ripping around- Right... drunk on the South Side. No, I get that. Yeah.
28:01
And I feel you. Sometimes- I like that... and I'm not saying that's gonna happen... sometime, sometimes, sometimes going right to the damn English Beat, which they think they might be playing that night again.
28:10
I heard that. If it's not that night, the one- So here's, so here's- Can we do alt Santa Rampage? Here's the current ones that are on the list. Uh, we have, uh, Two Rivers, as always a great one. Twivers.
28:23
Always a great one with George up in Twivers. Lincoln, Nebraska, don't know much about that one, but there's links to all these. Red Deer, Alberta; Breckenridge, Colorado; Woodbridge- Mm....
28:32
Connecticut; Midland, Michigan- Wow... and Gloucestershire, shire. England? Across the pond over there. The whole England? Which will be on Sunday, December 8th. Beautiful. Yeah. Sounds great.
28:44
Which is kind of like when we start over here, I don't know, kind of like is there- Might be right the same time. Yep, yep, yep... they're, they're way a long time ago-ish and whatnot before now. 'Tis true.
28:53
So will they know who won the election before we do because it's earlier over there? No. Greenwich. Mean time. Mm-hmm. Mm, I like the, them french fried taters.
29:04
[laughs] Sorry, I gotta take a piss so fucking bad right now. Are you kidding me? [laughs] That's all right. You know what we can do? We can say we did it again, and, uh, oh.
29:14
Unless you got more to say, but I'm gonna- Oh, I got one more thing... sneak away. Well, you can sneak. Yeah, I will. But I'm still here, audio people. You go, boy. Video people. You go, boy.
29:25
As far as we know, JK's still here to the audio crew. He walks, he walks away. Well, I don't wanna dislodge anything. [laughs] That's what's, that's what happens when you get married, folks. I guess. Um, all right.
29:37
So, uh, the one other thing that I just thought was in, 'cause I do a little news gathering and looking and trying to figure out who's doing what in our fair cycling community, and, uh, Steveo Kenevo- Mm-hmm...
29:51
you might know from All Hail the Black Market, there, there was a, some sort of deal, um, eh, MTBR.com, it's like things that cause an instant negative first impression when you're out mountain biking on a trail.
30:07
It's like, you could say anything like, oh, some jackass on an e-bike, some- Not wearing a helmet... some idiot not wearing a helmet, which was a big one.
30:13
Steveo's, "The number one thing that causes me an immediate negative first impression when I see other mountain bikers on the trail- Lycra... is that they exist." [laughs] Classic Steveo. Uh, I,
30:29
I do n- I do, I don't, I don't... Yes. You know what? Yes. You- Sometimes you're just out there- Sometimes you wanna mountain bike when you're by yourself... and Lycra's always a go fuck yourself. Yeah, it is. It is.
30:40
Right. Yeah. All right. Uh, yes, again, like I said- Oops... uh, we have done this thing that we did before, and we'll do again next week, and, uh, thank you very much. It's time to go away.
30:55
[rock music]
