- 0:01Speaker 1: Now on the Voice of New York Case the Mark
- 0:04Speaker 1: Simone Show on seven to ten. Wor Well, it quite
- 0:10Speaker 1: a mayre Old debate last night. We will get to that.
- 0:13Speaker 1: We'll go over in great detail. We'll get to the
- 0:16Speaker 1: latest meltdown from the Democrats, the trumped arrangement syndrome has
- 0:22Speaker 1: them going nuts over the White House ballroom. This is
- 0:26Speaker 1: but the weirdest, most bizarre meltdown they've had so far.
- 0:30Speaker 1: We'll get to Ice in New York, and we'll get
- 0:33Speaker 1: to Robert de Niro and a whole lot more coming up.
- 0:37Speaker 1: Last night's debate was much better than the first debate.
- 0:42Speaker 1: It was New York one, which most people don't see,
- 0:46Speaker 1: and it was Errol Lewis as the most biased, the
- 0:49Speaker 1: left wing guy in the world. Everybody thinking he should
- 0:52Speaker 1: have accused himself. But he was good, he behaved himself
- 0:56Speaker 1: and he was better than those Channel four moderators. He
- 0:59Speaker 1: let people talk, so good job. And then the other
- 1:02Speaker 1: one was a de Brian Lear. It's very very left wing,
- 1:05Speaker 1: the sort of guys doing this, but they were good,
- 1:07Speaker 1: they behaved themselves and it was a well done debate.
- 1:10Speaker 1: Now who won the debate, Well, Curtis was the best.
- 1:14Speaker 1: There was no question about that. If he just went
- 1:17Speaker 1: on content, Curtis clearly way ahead of him. But but
- 1:23Speaker 1: a lot of people think Clomo won the debate because
- 1:27Speaker 1: he's usually terrible in debates. He's not a good debater,
- 1:30Speaker 1: and he stinks in these debates. In the first two
- 1:33Speaker 1: debates he had with Mom Donnie, the primary debates, he
- 1:36Speaker 1: was just awful. But last night he surprised everybody. Was
- 1:40Speaker 1: pretty good in the debate. He wasn't as good as
- 1:43Speaker 1: Curtis on content, but in style and confidence, he's learning
- 1:48Speaker 1: to talk a little faster. Last night he surprised everybody,
- 1:52Speaker 1: and some analysts actually think he won, even though Curtis
- 1:55Speaker 1: was better and content wise, he won by not stinking,
- 1:59Speaker 1: by actually holding his own with Mom Donnie. Curtis had
- 2:03Speaker 1: the best lines in the debate.
- 2:07Speaker 2: I get a good belly laughs. All right, I'll keep practicing.
- 2:11Speaker 2: I get a good belly laugh every.
- 2:13Speaker 3: Time I hear you say free fair in the subways.
- 2:15Speaker 2: Half the people don't pay anyway. How about fair enforcement.
- 2:20Speaker 1: Now, the problem with these debates, it's three people. If
- 2:22Speaker 1: it were two debates, you know, you think back to
- 2:24Speaker 1: Hillary and Trump, you think back to the one debate
- 2:29Speaker 1: that absolutely turned a race around that was Reagan against Carter.
- 2:32Speaker 1: Reagan was on track to lose. He just wiped out
- 2:35Speaker 1: Carter in that debate and it was but the key
- 2:39Speaker 1: to that was it was two people. It was one
- 2:42Speaker 1: on one. When you put three people in there, it
- 2:44Speaker 1: changes the whole mix. And the moderators were very careful
- 2:47Speaker 1: to try to keep the spotlight off Curtis. They focused
- 2:50Speaker 1: on Cuomo. They focused on Mom Donnie as if they
- 2:54Speaker 1: were the two major party candidates. Remember it's Cuomo who's
- 2:57Speaker 1: the third party candidate. It's Sliwa he was the major
- 3:00Speaker 1: party candidate. He's the Republican candidate. Mam Donney's the Democratic candidate.
- 3:05Speaker 1: Should have been the two of them head to head.
- 3:07Speaker 1: They put Cuomo in even though he's a third party candidate,
- 3:10Speaker 1: because he's high in the polls. But it kind of
- 3:13Speaker 1: screws up the debate for Curtis. You don't get either.
- 3:16Speaker 1: They just tried not to give him too much time.
- 3:17Speaker 1: But every time they went to him, he was great
- 3:19Speaker 1: content wise, position wise, issues wise, most voters would agree
- 3:23Speaker 1: with Curtis, so on content he won. But Cuomo surprised everybody,
- 3:28Speaker 1: but not being as bad as he usually is in debates.
- 3:30Speaker 1: He's more a Curtis.
- 3:31Speaker 3: I've taken this subway almost every day of my life
- 3:33Speaker 3: since I was five. The worst time was the summer
- 3:36Speaker 3: of twenty seventeen, the summer of hell.
- 3:39Speaker 2: Angewel Cuomo, when you were running.
- 3:42Speaker 3: The subway, says, stuff us ahead of.
- 3:44Speaker 2: The I don't trust you with anything.
- 3:47Speaker 1: Well that's a good point. I don't know how much
- 3:49Speaker 1: that registered with everybody. But when Cuomo was governor, the
- 3:53Speaker 1: governor runs the subways. The MTA is controlled by the governor.
- 3:56Speaker 1: It's his chairman. He has the most seats on the board.
- 4:00Speaker 1: In twenty seventeen, Cuomo screwed up the subways. I don't
- 4:03Speaker 1: know if you remember that, but all the subways were
- 4:05Speaker 1: late trains camp. It was a real mess. The reason
- 4:10Speaker 1: for that is he was trying to score political points
- 4:13Speaker 1: with the subway by putting all the money into new cars,
- 4:17Speaker 1: new trains. Remember you would depose with the look at
- 4:20Speaker 1: this new train car, state of the art car. What
- 4:23Speaker 1: He completely screwed up the subway system by using it
- 4:27Speaker 1: as a piggy bank to take money out of there.
- 4:29Speaker 1: So they didn't have enough money, and it got so bad,
- 4:32Speaker 1: and the outcry was so huge. He had a beg
- 4:35Speaker 1: Joe Loader to come back. The old MTA commissioner, who's
- 4:38Speaker 1: the best guy at fixing the subways. He came back
- 4:41Speaker 1: right away and I talked to him privately about it.
- 4:43Speaker 1: He told me the real problem when you drain the
- 4:45Speaker 1: money out of there, use it as a piggy bank
- 4:47Speaker 1: for other projects. They're not spending the money where it
- 4:51Speaker 1: needs to be spent. You don't want to spend it
- 4:53Speaker 1: on new subway cars. It's not what you need most
- 4:56Speaker 1: important thing, pumps, switches, fans, the things that make the
- 5:00Speaker 1: trains run, for the little stuff. So Loda put that
- 5:04Speaker 1: all back. It took a few months, but he got
- 5:05Speaker 1: the subways back to normal. But Cuomo did screw it
- 5:09Speaker 1: up back then. He made a lot of disastrous moves
- 5:11Speaker 1: as governor. That's the problem now. The opening of the debate
- 5:14Speaker 1: was great, Mam Donnie, really, Mam Donnie. As summer argument
- 5:18Speaker 1: didn't have a great night because he had to be
- 5:20Speaker 1: evasive on a lot of things, some of his more
- 5:22Speaker 1: controversial stuff. So he was evasive a lot through the debate.
- 5:26Speaker 1: But he's slick, and he's a fast talker, and you
- 5:28Speaker 1: talk really fast, people might not notice how evasive you are.
- 5:30Speaker 1: But he really went after Cuomo.
- 5:32Speaker 4: Andrew Cuomo will spend much of tonight attacking me. He's
- 5:35Speaker 4: a desperate man, lashing out because he knows that the
- 5:38Speaker 4: one thing he's always cared about, power is now slipping
- 5:41Speaker 4: away from him.
- 5:42Speaker 1: Yeah. Well yeah, If he doesn't win this, I don't
- 5:46Speaker 1: know where he goes next. Of course, they kept hitting you,
- 5:49Speaker 1: Mam Donnie on experience.
- 5:50Speaker 2: I did see this.
- 5:52Speaker 5: You have never had a job, You've never accomplished anything.
- 5:56Speaker 5: There's no reason to believe you have any merit or
- 5:59Speaker 5: qualify ocasion for eight and.
- 6:01Speaker 2: A half million lives.
- 6:03Speaker 6: You don't know how to run a government, you don't
- 6:05Speaker 6: know how to handle an emergency.
- 6:07Speaker 4: The issue is that we have all experienced your experience.
- 6:11Speaker 4: The issue is that we experienced you take me five
- 6:14Speaker 4: million dollar book deal while you sent seniors to their
- 6:16Speaker 4: deaths and nursing homes.
- 6:18Speaker 1: Yeah, that's the problem with Cuomo's argument. He was good
- 6:21Speaker 1: last night. But when you say, you know, you gotta
- 6:22Speaker 1: have experience, what if there's a health crisis, Well, we
- 6:25Speaker 1: had one with Cuomo and he was terrible. He was awful.
- 6:27Speaker 1: He killed people in the nursing homes, and you know,
- 6:30Speaker 1: when it comes to crime, he really screwed up our
- 6:32Speaker 1: criminal system with his no bail, no jail and all
- 6:35Speaker 1: that stuffy. But he's right about mom, Donnie. We've never
- 6:39Speaker 1: ever ever elected somebody who's twelve years old, only been
- 6:42Speaker 1: a citizen five minutes, never had a job. It's unheard of.
- 6:46Speaker 1: As Curtis said last night.
- 6:47Speaker 3: Sure on your resume could fit on a cocktail, napkin
- 6:53Speaker 3: and angel. Your failures could fill a public school library
- 6:58Speaker 3: in New York City.
- 7:00Speaker 1: That's a good point. But it was quite a debate.
- 7:03Speaker 1: Trump was an issue for somehow in this debate.
- 7:05Speaker 4: I will fight him every single step of the way.
- 7:07Speaker 2: He has no respect for him.
- 7:08Speaker 6: He thinks he's a kid, and he's gonna knock him
- 7:10Speaker 6: on his tookas.
- 7:12Speaker 1: Yeah. So, but Curtis got very emotional at some point.
- 7:16Speaker 1: You know, Mamdani obviously would stink on crime. We saw
- 7:20Speaker 1: Cuomo was really bad on crime as governor, the no bail,
- 7:23Speaker 1: no jail, the closing the prisons, the taking away the
- 7:27Speaker 1: qualified immunity from cops. So Curtis got very emotional there.
- 7:31Speaker 3: So how can both of you look at me? I
- 7:34Speaker 3: almost launched my oldest son to gang violence. And the
- 7:38Speaker 3: perpetrators went to family court and got a little pet
- 7:42Speaker 3: on the wrist and was sent home to do it
- 7:44Speaker 3: again and again.
- 7:45Speaker 1: Yeah. I mean, it's a great moments in that debate.
- 7:47Speaker 1: If you haven't seen it, it's on YouTube, you can
- 7:50Speaker 1: you can go watch it. There as more on Trump,
- 7:53Speaker 1: and we first.
- 7:54Speaker 4: Just heard from the Republican candidate for mayor, and then
- 7:57Speaker 4: we heard from Donald Trump's puppet himself, Andrew Cuomo. You
- 8:00Speaker 4: could turn on TV any day of the week and
- 8:03Speaker 4: you will hear Donald Trump share that his pick for
- 8:06Speaker 4: mayor is Andrew Cuomo. And he wants Andrew Cuomo to
- 8:08Speaker 4: be the mayor, not because it will be good for
- 8:11Speaker 4: New Yorkers, but because it will be good for him.
- 8:13Speaker 1: Yeah. Now, Trump's not an Andrew Cuomo fan, but he
- 8:19Speaker 1: just doesn't like Curtis. He's never like Curtis. He doesn't
- 8:22Speaker 1: like Curtis. He's also remember he's far away. He's not
- 8:25Speaker 1: here in New York watching everything day and night. He's
- 8:27Speaker 1: in Washington. He's president. He's very busy, so he's not
- 8:31Speaker 1: real up close on this election. But he just thinks
- 8:35Speaker 1: Cuomo's the better shot, and that's why he's been pushing Cuomo.
- 8:38Speaker 1: And when you see these guys out there like Bill
- 8:41Speaker 1: Ackman and these other billionaires. Bill Ackman's a good example.
- 8:44Speaker 1: They're all out there fighting for Cuomo. The reason is
- 8:47Speaker 1: this is Trump. Trump is using them to do this.
- 8:50Speaker 1: Trump is on the phone with guys like Bill Ackman
- 8:52Speaker 1: day and night. He's had them come down to Washington
- 8:54Speaker 1: for lunch, for dinner. He's pressuring them like crazy to
- 8:58Speaker 1: get Curtis out of the do everything they can, and
- 9:02Speaker 1: they're doing this. They're really going crazy trying to get
- 9:04Speaker 1: Curtis out. It's not because they care that much about
- 9:07Speaker 1: the about Cuomo. It's just they want to ingratiate themselves
- 9:10Speaker 1: with Trump. They needs other stuff from Trump. So he's
- 9:14Speaker 1: been really pushing them, really pushing them for weeks now.
- 9:17Speaker 1: From what I've heard last night and the night before
- 9:20Speaker 1: in conversations, he's starting to admit and in fact, earlier
- 9:24Speaker 1: this week he started admitting, I don't know if Cuomo's
- 9:26Speaker 1: not a great candidate. I don't know if Cuomo can't
- 9:28Speaker 1: do it. So he might be easing the pressure on
- 9:31Speaker 1: these guys, but we'll see again. Cuomo had a good
- 9:35Speaker 1: night last night. Good night. He was strong in the debate.
- 9:37Speaker 4: And I also know that the jobs we create in
- 9:40Speaker 4: the building of that housing should be good jobs as well.
- 9:43Speaker 2: Answer, what is your opinion?
- 9:45Speaker 7: Job?
- 9:46Speaker 2: Come on, yes, what is your opinion? Yes? No?
- 9:52Speaker 7: True?
- 9:53Speaker 2: Don't be a politician here, I got it. They're pointing
- 9:57Speaker 2: out what I was about to the question.
- 10:00Speaker 6: My question to you was do you support the three
- 10:03Speaker 6: ballid amendment questions?
- 10:05Speaker 4: I have not yet taken a position on those ballot question.
- 10:08Speaker 2: What a shock.
- 10:09Speaker 1: Now that was the problem a few times, several times
- 10:12Speaker 1: on a ballot issue or some issue, he just wouldn't
- 10:15Speaker 1: take a position. Now in New York you got things
- 10:18Speaker 1: like New York one or Channel four that they're the
- 10:20Speaker 1: most left wing, bias slanted. So the problem is they
- 10:24Speaker 1: won't be all over him. They should be following him
- 10:27Speaker 1: around demanding he said he needs to think about it.
- 10:30Speaker 1: They should be demanding you think about it and give
- 10:32Speaker 1: him an answer. They should be all over the campaign
- 10:35Speaker 1: demanding an answer. But again they're very slanted. They won't
- 10:38Speaker 1: do it.
- 10:39Speaker 4: Here's what he says, that taking five years to build
- 10:41Speaker 4: affordable housing is the sign of an incompetent government. By
- 10:45Speaker 4: his own words, that means he must have led an
- 10:47Speaker 4: incompetent government.
- 10:48Speaker 6: The governor doesn't build housing in New York City, not
- 10:51Speaker 6: if it's you.
- 10:53Speaker 1: It's a good point, you know, if the problem is
- 10:55Speaker 1: lack of housing, if the problem is affordability, well, Democrats
- 11:00Speaker 1: been running the whole place for fifteen years. They've been
- 11:02Speaker 1: controlling the legislature or the city Council, the mayor's office,
- 11:05Speaker 1: city Hall, the governors. They controlled everything. So if it's
- 11:08Speaker 1: such a crisis, get rid of them, get another party,
- 11:11Speaker 1: try somebody else.
- 11:12Speaker 2: There are jurisdictions.
- 11:15Speaker 6: The governor doesn't pick up trash, he doesn't run the
- 11:17Speaker 6: fire department.
- 11:18Speaker 2: That's what the mayor does.
- 11:19Speaker 6: The mayor bills housing, the state allocates funding for localities,
- 11:25Speaker 6: and I allocated more funding for housing than any governor
- 11:28Speaker 6: in the history of the.
- 11:29Speaker 2: State of New York.
- 11:31Speaker 1: Yeah, you know, but again he yells all this stuff.
- 11:34Speaker 1: But if that's the case, how come we have such
- 11:36Speaker 1: a crisis.
- 11:37Speaker 5: You have never had a job, you've never accomplished anything.
- 11:41Speaker 5: There's no reason to believe you have any merit or
- 11:44Speaker 5: qualification for eight and.
- 11:46Speaker 2: A half million lives.
- 11:48Speaker 5: You don't know how to run a government, you don't
- 11:50Speaker 5: know how to handle.
- 11:50Speaker 6: An emergency, and you've literally never proposed a bill on
- 11:56Speaker 6: anything that you're now talking about in your campaign.
- 11:58Speaker 1: All right, but so you hear that Cuomo was good
- 12:00Speaker 1: last night. He had a good debate. He was very good.
- 12:03Speaker 1: Not like the slow talker from the first debates in
- 12:08Speaker 1: the primary, he just was awful against Mom Donnie. Mam
- 12:10Speaker 1: Donnie just wiped him out. But he was good last night.
- 12:12Speaker 1: He had a good night. So we'll see if that doesn't.
- 12:14Speaker 1: You know, one of the big problems with this race,
- 12:16Speaker 1: we haven't had any polling at all. You know, you
- 12:19Speaker 1: see it sometimes in the news, you'll see some poll.
- 12:21Speaker 1: It's just some junk poll, some college pole, some tiny
- 12:25Speaker 1: polling company, nobody ever heard of. These aren't These are
- 12:27Speaker 1: totally worthless. These polls. I wouldn't trust them for a second.
- 12:31Speaker 1: A couple of them done by Cuomo people disguised, you know,
- 12:35Speaker 1: as somebody else, but I wouldn't. So we have never
- 12:38Speaker 1: had any real polling in the last few weeks, and
- 12:40Speaker 1: we've had no polling after the first debate or the
- 12:44Speaker 1: second debate, so we really don't know anything. Kind of
- 12:46Speaker 1: flying blind, So we'll see what happened. You know, what's interesting,
- 12:51Speaker 1: all the people that are pushing Cuomo. You know, the
- 12:52Speaker 1: Bill Ackman gotta get Cuomo. We can't have down. We got.
- 12:56Speaker 1: They don't like Cuomo at all. You don't think much
- 12:58Speaker 1: of them. They don't think he'd be great. It's just
- 13:00Speaker 1: that they hate Mam Donnie. They just think Mom Donnie
- 13:03Speaker 1: is so bad. We'll settle. We'll settle for Cuomo, who
- 13:06Speaker 1: you can't stand. And Cuomo was on the morning show
- 13:10Speaker 1: this morning here at w R. He was here and
- 13:12Speaker 1: he admitted to that. Listen to him, talk to Larry Mente.
- 13:14Speaker 1: He actually admitted, nobody really likes him. They just hate
- 13:19Speaker 1: Mam Donni Moore.
- 13:20Speaker 7: If you're saying you will only vote for me because
- 13:24Speaker 7: you dislike Zoron Moore, it's not flattering.
- 13:33Speaker 1: Yeah, well there you go, no kidding. Anyway, we got
- 13:38Speaker 1: we'll get back to the mirror debate. Well, we've got
- 13:41Speaker 1: lots to say about it. We'll get to that. We'll
- 13:43Speaker 1: get to we'll get to the ballroom meltdown. It's hysterical
- 13:49Speaker 1: this and it's a silly thing for Democrats. They're going
- 13:52Speaker 1: crazy over the ballroom. You know, they destroyed the East Wing,
- 13:59Speaker 1: they're taking down part of the but they'll put it
- 14:00Speaker 1: right back with a ballroom attached to it. And I
- 14:03Speaker 1: don't know why they're doing this because it's not like
- 14:06Speaker 1: the federal government building. And if the government built it,
- 14:09Speaker 1: this ballroom would take ten fifteen years. This is Trump
- 14:12Speaker 1: building it. He'll have it finished in four or five months,
- 14:16Speaker 1: and it will look magnificent. It will looks so beautiful
- 14:19Speaker 1: that you'll sound nuts that you were complaining about it.
- 14:22Speaker 1: You know, you know what's in the East wing. You know,
- 14:24Speaker 1: you saw they knocked down the wall and half the
- 14:26Speaker 1: East wing. You know what that was. You know what's
- 14:29Speaker 1: in the East wing? Nothing? Really, it's it does have
- 14:32Speaker 1: the first Lady's office in it, but that's two three rooms.
- 14:35Speaker 1: You know, you can move that to somewhere else in
- 14:37Speaker 1: the building very easily. But what's the big stuff in
- 14:39Speaker 1: the east wing. The biggest thing in there is the
- 14:41Speaker 1: calligraphy office. Seriously, it's a big, huge calligraphy center and
- 14:47Speaker 1: that's where they do the place cards for the dinner
- 14:49Speaker 1: and the invitations. So that's what got knocked out there.
- 14:54Speaker 1: But this is nothing. This construction nothing compared to what's
- 14:58Speaker 1: been done in the White House before nineteen forty eight,
- 15:01Speaker 1: Truman gutted the entire White House literally gutted it. All
- 15:06Speaker 1: that was left was the exterior walls. They gutted the
- 15:09Speaker 1: entire White House and rebuilt it. So but there's a
- 15:11Speaker 1: million check out my Twitter. There's a picture up there
- 15:14Speaker 1: of like twelve different times, twelve different presidents where you
- 15:18Speaker 1: see massive wrecking balls and cranes tearing up parts of
- 15:20Speaker 1: the White House. Done all the time. But anyway, we'll
- 15:23Speaker 1: get back to that. We'll take some calls in a minute.
- 15:25Speaker 1: Eight hundred three two one zero seven ten is the number.
- 15:29Speaker 1: Eight hundred three two one zero seven ten.
