Transcript
- 0:05Welcome everybody to another episode of Mom St.
- 0:07USAI am your host Jackie, and on today's episode we are chatting
- 0:12about 5 things that I wish I knew before my first Disney trip
- 0:17with kids. There are so many things to
- 0:21consider when visiting Walt Disney World.
- 0:24There's resorts, there's tickets, there's dining, there's
- 0:27attractions and rides and shows and all of that and more, right?
- 0:32This episode is truly aimed at my top five things and tips that
- 0:39I wish I knew before visiting with kids.
- 0:42And I emphasize that with kids because for some context, I went
- 0:46to the Disney parks a ton when I was in like my early 20s.
- 0:52My best friend Stevie worked there.
- 0:54I would fly down and stay with her.
- 0:55We would go into the parks together for like long weekends
- 0:58and things. So like I visited a ton and that
- 1:02is truly when I fell in love with the parks was being able to
- 1:05go as a young adult and go with my with my husband and my best
- 1:12friend and other friends. But after having kids, those
- 1:17trips totally changed. And I know the other parents
- 1:20that have been there that are listening right now are like,
- 1:22Yup, exactly. So we're going to talk about the
- 1:26most important things to think about before your trip with your
- 1:31kids for the first time. Because you may be in that same
- 1:33boat, right? You may be somebody that knows
- 1:35the Disney parks really well or has been several times or has
- 1:39done all your research. But really traveling with kids
- 1:42makes such a different experience for your Disney trip.
- 1:45And I do say different. I don't say better or worse.
- 1:48It's just different, right? You don't have as much
- 1:51flexibility. You don't have as much freedom
- 1:53to rope drop and stay out until midnight when the part, well,
- 1:57when the parks used to stay open that late.
- 1:58That's what I really miss right when I was visiting so much and
- 2:03the parks would be open until like midnight or we get a
- 2:06notification on my Disney Experience that they extended
- 2:09the park hours by an hour because of capacity.
- 2:12Those were the days. I miss that so much.
- 2:16But that's the goal of today is to kind of point out some of
- 2:19these differences that you may like have in the back of your
- 2:21head, but might need like some confirmation about how they will
- 2:25or will not change your trip when you're visiting with kids.
- 2:29So before our first Disney trip with kids, I spent months
- 2:34planning. That should surprise nobody
- 2:36because I am such a huge planner, but I spent months
- 2:39planning this first Disney trip that I was taking with my kiddo.
- 2:43Not only was it because it was my oldest first trip, but also
- 2:48because I was pregnant with my second when we were going on his
- 2:53first trip. So while I knew the rides and
- 2:56the restaurants and the park layouts, there were quite a few
- 3:01things that completely caught me off guard.
- 3:03So if you are taking kids to Disney for the first time, I
- 3:07hope that these the advice that I give you today is going to
- 3:11save you some time and some headache and some meltdowns,
- 3:15whether from you or the kiddos, right?
- 3:18So the first thing that I wish I knew before my first trip with
- 3:22kids to Disney was your kids won't care about your perfect
- 3:27plan. And we talked a little bit about
- 3:28this just a few episodes ago, but your vacation will be so
- 3:34much better if you just follow your kiddos joy rather than
- 3:40forcing everybody to stick to a plan.
- 3:42Your kid may become obsessed with the carousel like my
- 3:46youngest did. Your kiddo may want to just go
- 3:50swimming at the resort pool like my oldest does.
- 3:53Almost every trip that we go he's constantly asking about
- 3:56what day is our pool day. Your kiddos may find a splash
- 3:59pad in the park that they want to stop and play in the journey.
- 4:02Journey of Water area in Epcot, that's all Moana themed, may
- 4:06take you an hour instead of 10 minutes to walk through.
- 4:11Kids wanting to ride the same ride over and over again.
- 4:13Caring more about ice cream than what's on your list.
- 4:17That comes next, right? All of these things are
- 4:21something that you have to consider when taking kids to the
- 4:24parks. So that's why I put this as #1
- 4:28on the list because I think it is so important that, yes, you
- 4:32need to have a plan. And we talked about having a
- 4:35plan, but you also have to have the most flexibility with that
- 4:40plan when it comes for traveling with kids.
- 4:43When it was just my husband and I and we had a plan, we just did
- 4:48what the plan said, right? We just went through the rides
- 4:51and we went one to the next to the next to the next.
- 4:53We knew when we were going to stop for lunch.
- 4:55We knew whether or not we needed to take a break.
- 4:57Like it was just it was just so natural to follow that plan from
- 5:02top to bottom with our kids. We cannot follow that plan.
- 5:06It's just not feasible to be able to do everything exactly in
- 5:10order how you plan it out. So like I said, we just did an
- 5:12entire episode about the things that kids really care about at
- 5:16Disney. So I encourage you to go and
- 5:18listen to that because that episode is part of why this is
- 5:24on my list for things that I wish I knew and things that I
- 5:28wish I thought of before bringing my kids to Disney with
- 5:32me. And yes, I love Sarah in our
- 5:34live chat said her one niece just wanted to wait and meet all
- 5:37of the characters. Her others didn't care and just
- 5:40wanted to ride, ride. So you have to adjust.
- 5:42That's 100% true, especially if you're visiting with more than
- 5:46one kid, right? You're, you're going to, as much
- 5:50as you want to try to stay together, you're going to end up
- 5:52having to divide and conquer at least a little bit with that.
- 5:56So again, your kids don't care about your perfect plan.
- 5:59But that's also not to say that you shouldn't have some sort of
- 6:02plan going into your vacation. You just have to have that
- 6:06realistic expectation of the fact that they may or may not
- 6:10care about the same things that you have planned.
- 6:14The second thing that I wish I knew before taking my kids to
- 6:18Disney is, and this one may sound a little obvious, but
- 6:25Disney is way more walking than you expect.
- 6:30And the reason I say it sounds obvious is I feel like this is
- 6:32the first thing that people think about whenever they think
- 6:34about going to any of the Disney parks or theme park, anywhere
- 6:39that you may end up going. But Disney truly is so much more
- 6:42walking than you anticipate. Because it's not only just
- 6:47walking in the parks, it's walking from your room to
- 6:53transportation right at your resort.
- 6:56It's walking from wherever the buses drop you off to get to the
- 7:01main front gate. It's walking because your food
- 7:05that you want is 3/4 of the way around World Showcase and so you
- 7:09end up having to walk 3/4 of a mile to get there, right?
- 7:12You hear that everybody talk about how much walking it is and
- 7:15it is so true and it's so much more than you expect.
- 7:19Like 10,000 steps is minimum on a true Disney day.
- 7:25Typically 8 to 12 miles every day is the like average norm for
- 7:31Disney trips. And your kids are going to tire
- 7:37much more quickly than you may anticipate.
- 7:41You may say, oh, yeah, we are going to practice The Walking.
- 7:46We're going to go to the zoo or we're going to go to our local
- 7:49fair or amusement park. And they may be fine there.
- 7:53Disney is so much more walking than that.
- 7:56And not only that, but it's also coupled with the fact that you
- 8:00are still on your feet even if you're not walking, but you're
- 8:03waiting, standing and waiting for the parade, standing and
- 8:07waiting in a 20 minute line while the lines not very long.
- 8:11You're still standing and you're still on your feet, standing and
- 8:14waiting for HEA, the fireworks show at the end of night at
- 8:18Magic Kingdom, or standing and waiting for Luminous over at
- 8:23Epcot, right? There is so much more time spent
- 8:26on your feet than you really, truly think about.
- 8:29So you really have to think about your stroller situation.
- 8:34If you are at all questioning your kiddos ability to walk the
- 8:40entire day, you need to have a stroller.
- 8:42So there's absolutely nothing wrong with having a stroller for
- 8:47your 789 year old kiddo. You know what they're capable
- 8:50of. You know whether or not they're
- 8:52going to be able to last the day.
- 8:54But also you have to remember that this day at Disney is
- 8:58potentially way longer than any other day you're going to spend
- 9:02at the zoo or the fair or your local amusement park, right?
- 9:06It's especially if you're somebody that's trying to rope
- 9:08drop and you're trying to do fireworks.
- 9:10Even with a break in the middle of the day for your kiddo,
- 9:13that's still a really long day, which means much more steps,
- 9:17much more being on your feet. The other thing to consider with
- 9:21this is even if they are stroller age, the chances are
- 9:28good that they will still end up walking some during your day.
- 9:33So you have to make sure you're thinking about what shoes they
- 9:37have even if you anticipate them being in the stroller for most
- 9:41of the time. This is one thing that I didn't
- 9:43think about when it came to walking and being on your feet.
- 9:47For my oldest first trip, he was just under 2 when we went and I
- 9:54just packed his normal shoes that we always had him wear, you
- 9:59know, just around. And I didn't really think about
- 10:04the fact that he wanted to walk a ton in the parks.
- 10:08He didn't want to be in the stroller.
- 10:09He wanted to be on Main Street walking down the road like he
- 10:14wanted to be out of the stroller.
- 10:17So I didn't think about the fact that I needed to have him follow
- 10:22the same kind of shoe packing that I have my husband and I
- 10:26follow in that he needed two pairs of really good sneakers
- 10:30that he was going to be able to wear.
- 10:32He needed a pair of flip flops. He needed sandals, you know,
- 10:35like the things that you think about for yourself, I didn't
- 10:38think about for him. And so that became, it wasn't a
- 10:43huge problem, but I could have planned better for that.
- 10:49Also, you've got to think about sacrificing fashion for comfort,
- 10:54even for your kiddos. Princess dresses go great with
- 10:59with a pair of tennis shoes, right?
- 11:01So you have to think about those things because you don't want to
- 11:04end up with your kiddos feet hurting because they're going to
- 11:07be not maybe as equipped to handle it or as equipped to
- 11:13express what it is that hurts and how it hurts and where it
- 11:17hurts on their feet. Because it may be a completely
- 11:20new sensation to them, especially if they are typically
- 11:23a kiddo that's in the stroller when you go places that's going
- 11:27to be brand new to them. So you really need to think
- 11:30about that when it comes to The Walking, the standing, the being
- 11:33on your feet. The other thing that I will kind
- 11:35of pair into this second thing that we're we're talking about
- 11:39now on this list of 5 is along with The Walking, you also have
- 11:44to remember that your kiddos will often need more fuel than
- 11:48normal to keep going because of The Walking.
- 11:51So you want to think about smaller, more frequent meals
- 11:57rather than your standard meal times that you normally eat.
- 12:01So grabbing a quick breakfast at the room, but then stopping for
- 12:05a mid morning snack and then doing some lunch and then an
- 12:09afternoon snack and then dinner and then another snack at the
- 12:12end of the day. You've just really got to think
- 12:14about fueling their little bodies, even up through
- 12:17elementary into their teen years too, right?
- 12:20You have to think about them being able to fuel their bodies.
- 12:23And especially if you're going during the summer, smaller, more
- 12:26frequent meals are going to be much more helpful for them
- 12:30because their body is going to be sweating and using exerting
- 12:33that energy all day. But their bellies are not going
- 12:36to be used to the heat necessarily unless you're
- 12:39somewhere that has a similar climate to Florida.
- 12:41But generally speaking, their bellies are not going to be used
- 12:44to that heat. So you need to do smaller meals.
- 12:47You need to, even though maybe a kids meal doesn't look like
- 12:51it'll be enough for your kiddo. Will it be enough until you're
- 12:54next scheduled somewhat quote UN quote scheduled snack break,
- 12:58right? So those are things to consider
- 13:00along with The Walking is just being able to take care of your
- 13:05body, take care of your feet, but also take care of fueling
- 13:08your body with the right amount of food at the right times, plus
- 13:13water and electrolytes at the same time, right?
- 13:15So considering that for your kiddos as well As for yourself.
- 13:20So the third thing that I wish I had known before taking my
- 13:24kiddos to Disney for the first time is that everything, and I
- 13:30say everything very broadly, but it'll make sense in a moment.
- 13:34Everything takes longer than you think at Disney World, whether
- 13:39that's Transportation, Security, bathroom breaks, meals and
- 13:43snacks, waiting in lines, parking the stroller, doing
- 13:46character interactions. You spend way more time stopped
- 13:52than you do moving in the parks. You know, transportation,
- 13:57stopping and having to wait for the bus, for the monorails, for
- 14:00the skyline or whatever transportation you're waiting
- 14:03on. That takes a lot longer than you
- 14:05think, especially when you're trying to get back to the room
- 14:07for like a break or a nap. You got to leave way more time
- 14:12than you think to be able to get back.
- 14:13If you're on a certain if you're on a specific time crunch for
- 14:18like nap time for your kiddo going through security.
- 14:23People often think, oh, if I, you know, if I leave my resort
- 14:2630 minutes before early park entry, I'll, I'll be fine.
- 14:31It won't be a big deal. They don't think about the
- 14:34security line. Security takes, especially in
- 14:36the mornings at rope drop. It takes a solid half hour
- 14:40minimum I would say unless you get really lucky, but security
- 14:44takes a long time to get through bathroom breaks, especially if
- 14:48you've got a bunch of little kiddos that you're traveling
- 14:50with, you're doing more frequent bathroom breaks.
- 14:53They take a little bit longer just because kiddos tend to take
- 14:56longer than adults do. Whenever it's, it's that time
- 15:00meals and snacks again, especially if you have a turtle
- 15:03eater, which is what I lovingly refer to my youngest as because
- 15:07she takes so long to eat her meals that she's my turtle.
- 15:12But those just take longer than if you're travelling with just
- 15:16adults. Although I eat slow too, so I
- 15:18don't have much room to talk. But waiting in lines, right?
- 15:22You, you hope you don't have to wait very long in lines, but
- 15:25sometimes that happens. And sometimes even if you're
- 15:28using lightning lanes, the wait is still a full 15 or 20 minutes
- 15:32instead of a walk on, so that takes longer.
- 15:36Finding the right place to park your stroller for the first time
- 15:39can be super stressful. And it can be tricky because not
- 15:45every ride has stroller parking immediately out front of the
- 15:49building, right or out front of the queue, depending on where
- 15:52you are. So finding the right place to
- 15:55park your stroller, parking the stroller, getting the kids out,
- 15:57making sure you have everything you want to take with you so
- 16:00you're not leaving valuables in your stroller and you have
- 16:02everything you need. You know, the process just takes
- 16:05a while until you get into a, a good routine of how all of these
- 16:10little small logistical things are going to work.
- 16:14Character interactions are a big one too.
- 16:16They it can be really hard, especially when you get towards
- 16:19the end of that line. If you can peek around the
- 16:21corner and see the characters, it can be really hard to wait
- 16:24and it just feels like it takes longer than you anticipate,
- 16:27right? Again, you spend way more time
- 16:29stopped than moving. This doesn't even count.
- 16:31Things like sunscreen, stroller adjustments, outfit changes,
- 16:35water refills, it all just adds up and it's all part of the day.
- 16:40But it's just something to consider whenever you are
- 16:43thinking about your route and thinking about what rides you're
- 16:47doing, when and where you're going to end up when you think
- 16:50you're going to need a bathroom break.
- 16:51And you know, we, we got in the habit of pretty much any time we
- 16:55got in a line that was longer than 15 minutes, we went into
- 16:58the bathroom. You know, so just the logistical
- 17:00things with with having to wait for things that can take a lot
- 17:05longer than you maybe think that they're going to.
- 17:08So I encourage you to practice your patience and to again,
- 17:14remember that your perfect plan is still perfect, even if it
- 17:20doesn't get executed 100% all the way through, right.
- 17:25The fourth thing that I wish I knew before visiting Walt Disney
- 17:29World with my kiddos for the first time was considering the
- 17:36mindset of breaks are part of your vacation, so sleeping in at
- 17:44Disney sounds completely counterproductive.
- 17:48But resort days are so important to be able to regenerate,
- 17:54recover, recoup a little bit. So that way you can finish out
- 17:58your vacation and still have a good time in the parks that are
- 18:01leftover on your list, right? So making sure that you allow
- 18:07for those breaks and you schedule in that time.
- 18:10You may be right in the middle of your morning rope drop plan
- 18:15and maybe you've gone on three rides and you've got two more.
- 18:19You want to try to get done before the lines get super busy
- 18:23and your kiddo may decide that they need to take a break,
- 18:26especially if you're not doing a stroller because you think
- 18:28they're going to be fine. You're going to have to plan in
- 18:31more breaks for those like late elementary, middle school age
- 18:37group because they are not going to have the leg stamina that the
- 18:44older teens and adults maybe in your group have.
- 18:48So just realizing and being in tune with what your kiddos need
- 18:53when it comes to being in the parks and taking breaks, but
- 18:56also considering break days too. Pool days, like I mentioned
- 18:59earlier, are often some of my kiddos favorite days.
- 19:04My kids still talk about. Gosh, four or five trips ago we
- 19:09stayed at Port Orleans French Quarter and they still talk
- 19:15about that pool and they still talk about the day that we spent
- 19:19swimming and how we gave them an extra day to swim because they
- 19:24loved the water slide there so much and it was so much fun.
- 19:28They still talk about that. So sometimes those pool days can
- 19:32be the favorite days of your kiddos.
- 19:35My kids also talk about we had a day that we did a resort day
- 19:39where we just like did the activities that they had planned
- 19:42and we checked out the arcade and we played at the playground
- 19:46that they had at our resort. And, you know, there are things
- 19:50like that that again, the kiddos want to find the magic for
- 19:56themselves a little bit, right? There's a, there's a lot of
- 19:59magic that we as parents can create for our kids on Disney
- 20:02trips. We can create, you know, going
- 20:05on a ton of rides using lightning lanes.
- 20:07We can create getting to wait in line for their favorite
- 20:10character or watching a parade or things like that.
- 20:15But I think like intrinsically, your kids also want to find some
- 20:18of that magic for themselves. And that's where I think
- 20:22following their joy is so important.
- 20:25So if they're having a ton of fun just playing, I mentioned
- 20:30the Moana area earlier in this episode, But if they're if they
- 20:33just want to play in the Moana area, just let them do it right?
- 20:38There's no sense in rushing around and, you know, having to
- 20:42get to the next thing when they are having so much fun where you
- 20:46are now. Just let yourself breathe and
- 20:49live in the moment and take a mental break maybe for a few
- 20:54minutes as you are enjoying watching them enjoy themselves
- 21:00doing whatever it is that you may be doing.
- 21:03And I do think if you've got, you know, four or five park
- 21:07days, you've got to plan a resort day in the middle there
- 21:09because it just gets to be too much.
- 21:13It just gets to be too much. So you've got to remember,
- 21:15breaks are part of the vacation pool days, doing mini golf,
- 21:20doing any of the resort activities we just talked about
- 21:23a few episodes ago, different things that you can do without a
- 21:26park ticket when you go to Disney, picking a day and
- 21:29picking one or two of those to go explore can be so much fun.
- 21:35And it doesn't even have to involve your perfect park
- 21:37itinerary for the day. So remembering that breaks are
- 21:41part of your vacation can really help you have just a more
- 21:46enjoyable trip. And my last thing #5 that I wish
- 21:54I knew before taking kids to Disney World is you won't do
- 22:01everything right. You can plan and you can hope
- 22:06and you can think that it's all going to work out, but you're
- 22:11just not going to end up doing everything.
- 22:13And that's OK. Again, you have to follow what
- 22:17your kids do and then focus on the favorites, right?
- 22:20So if this is your first trip or your second trip, you can
- 22:25probably anticipate fairly well what it is that your kids are
- 22:28going to want to do on any of your park days, right?
- 22:32You can look at those rides and you can go, Yep, that's exactly
- 22:36what they're going to want to do.
- 22:38I know that this is like the top of their priority list.
- 22:41Or maybe you pulled up some YouTube point of view videos
- 22:44that you watched with them to help them decide what it is that
- 22:49they want to do on your trip, right?
- 22:52So focus on those favorites, focus on your top picks.
- 22:55And then after that, just kind of see where the day takes you.
- 23:00And again, with the understanding that you're not
- 23:04going to be able to do everything, one of the most
- 23:08enjoyable days or even moments of your day can be when you let
- 23:14your kids just lead the way. Now, this is more for kiddos
- 23:18that are a little bit older, right?
- 23:20Maybe not so much toddlers, but you could even do it to an
- 23:23extent, giving your toddler a choice of what character they
- 23:28want to go see, or giving your toddler a choice of different
- 23:33areas that you can go to next door.
- 23:35If you're standing in Storybook Circus, do they want to ride
- 23:38Barnstormer? Do they want to ride Dumbo?
- 23:40Right. If you're standing in
- 23:42Fantasyland, do they want to go, you know, make it something
- 23:44visible? Do they want to go to the
- 23:46carousel? Do they want to go somewhere
- 23:48else? You know, there are still ways
- 23:50in which you can help them lead the way.
- 23:53So you can do this purposefully or you can just follow their
- 23:56cues. You can let them kind of lead
- 23:59you to whatever looks interesting to them, depending
- 24:02on where you are and how busy it is.
- 24:04And you know those those different situational factors,
- 24:09but letting them lead the way. And I've talked about before on
- 24:13my last big family trip that I did with my, my parents and my
- 24:17sister and her girls and, and my kids, we, we scheduled in some
- 24:24kind of free time and we tried to anticipate.
- 24:28I mean, I knew more like what my kids were going to want to do
- 24:31and redo and re ride. But we, we tried to anticipate
- 24:35what we thought my niece, my oldest niece was, was going to
- 24:38want to do. And but she shocked us all in
- 24:42the fact that she loved the roller coasters we took her on.
- 24:48She loved Barnstormer, she loved 7 dwarfs, she loved Slinky Dog.
- 24:54So like we weren't anticipating that at all.
- 24:58So on the days we went back to those parks, because we were
- 25:00very lucky, we had park hoppers and we kind of were all over the
- 25:03place and had several days in the parks.
- 25:05And so we, you know, when we went back to those parks, those
- 25:08became our priority because that's what those were things
- 25:11that she wanted to do and things that she loved.
- 25:13And so we got to ride Barnstormer like four or five
- 25:16times on that trip because she just loved it so much.
- 25:20So things like that where you just, you let them have the time
- 25:24and you say, what do you want to do?
- 25:27Right. Our last day of that trip was
- 25:30just my kids, my and, and, and us, my other family had had left
- 25:37and headed back home and we had one extra day and we told the
- 25:42kids, Hey, you, you guys get to pick you guys get to pick what
- 25:46we do today. And we've been kind of like,
- 25:49we're like reminding them as we went through the week, like, oh,
- 25:53hey, this would be a really good thing to do on our last day when
- 25:56you get to pick what we're doing or oh, hey, think about this
- 25:59when it comes to the last day. So we kind of were prepping them
- 26:02all along as we went through our trip.
- 26:05And the, the night, the, the dinner, the night before that
- 26:10day, we were like, OK, where do you want to start?
- 26:13And you know, we, we kind of helped a guy to them and you
- 26:16know, my, my son really wanted to ride Dinosaur again for the
- 26:22last time because it was getting ready to close.
- 26:25And so we ended up rope dropping Animal Kingdom, which I did not
- 26:29anticipate. I did not think that would be
- 26:31where we would end up. But we did all four parks that
- 26:34day because they just wanted to hop around and do their favorite
- 26:38things. And now my older 1 is more
- 26:41opinionated on things like that because he just he has specific
- 26:45rides that are like his jam and his favorites.
- 26:49My younger she's a little bit more go with the flow and but
- 26:54she still had things that she wanted to do and there were
- 26:56things for her because I knew that she would have a hard time.
- 26:58Like remembering my older one knows what rides are at what
- 27:03park and how to get there. He's like a walking map already
- 27:06at, you know, just under 10 years old.
- 27:09My youngest is not quite that way.
- 27:11I knew she was going to have a hard time remembering what was
- 27:14at what park and what rides were even where.
- 27:16So I was making like a mentalist as we went through the week to
- 27:19help her out. But we, we had so much fun.
- 27:23And it was just like, we went to each park, We hit a few little
- 27:26things there and then we, we kept on moving.
- 27:30And so it was, it was so much fun to see what they chose and
- 27:34so much fun to just like let them have the ownership of that.
- 27:39And it was just, it was a blast, right?
- 27:42And that's the thing about this again, you won't do everything
- 27:45and every trip is going to be so different.
- 27:47You may want to focus on re rides or you may want to focus
- 27:50on new rides. You may want to focus on
- 27:53characters or shows or something totally new that you guys have
- 27:56never done before, right? There are so many different ways
- 27:59that you can kind of plan to have a unique experience.
- 28:03And every trip to Disney is going to be a unique experience
- 28:06no matter what. So, and if you don't get through
- 28:08everything, your kids are still going to have amazing memories
- 28:12and it's going to leave you something for your next trip,
- 28:15right? Because it is impossible to do
- 28:18everything on a Disney trip. Even if you're there for two
- 28:21weeks, it's you're still not going to get to every single
- 28:25thing that you want to do. It's just not possible, right?
- 28:29There's so many different activities and resorts to see
- 28:33and it's just too much, right? So even though you don't get
- 28:38through everything, it leaves something for your next trip.
- 28:41So it leaves you the, the comfort of knowing like, Yep, we
- 28:45know we're going to be back in a year or two.
- 28:48We're going to put these, you know, 3 or 4 things that we
- 28:51really wish we could have done but didn't get to.
- 28:53They're going to move to the top of our list for consideration on
- 28:56our next trip. And that gives you something fun
- 28:59to to plan for on your second trip with your kids as a family.
- 29:05So again, you're not going to be able to do everything, but
- 29:09that's OK. Well, I know it was kind of
- 29:12short and sweet, but those are the five things that I wish I
- 29:15knew before I visited the Disney parks with my kids.
- 29:19Hopefully this list is helpful in giving you something to
- 29:21consider before you go with kids.

- 30:38point. But here we are.
- 30:40We are there. So next episode we are going to
- 30:43be talking about some of the new things that are coming for this
