- 0:52Speaker 1: Hey, we have a Facebook group. It is called Girls
- 0:55Speaker 1: Gone Hallmark. It is located in Facebook Groups and we
- 0:58Speaker 1: have a fantastic collection of people there who really know
- 1:04Speaker 1: their Hallmark news. Man, if I want breaking news, that's
- 1:10Speaker 1: where I go.
- 1:11Speaker 2: That's the police to go.
- 1:13Speaker 1: Somebody has already, you know what. Even in fact, like
- 1:16Speaker 1: when I feel like I have found some like new
- 1:18Speaker 1: breaking Hallmark news and I go in there to share it,
- 1:20Speaker 1: somebody there to do it. Yeah. So I'm just like cool, guys, thanks,
- 1:24Speaker 1: but I mean that's fine, Like I love it. I
- 1:26Speaker 1: love it, So come and join us over there.
- 1:30Speaker 2: They scooped you. It's okay.
- 1:32Speaker 1: I'm not trying to be the uh, you know, the
- 1:35Speaker 1: Perez Hilton of Hallmark. So that's kind of a deep dive.
- 1:40Speaker 1: I mean, does he exist anymore? As like an entertainment
- 1:43Speaker 1: Like I don't gossip get canceled?
- 1:46Speaker 2: I thought, I don't know, I don't know. Did you
- 1:49Speaker 2: ever read speaking of deep deep cuts? There was an
- 1:54Speaker 2: entertainment website called Pink is the neew blog dot com.
- 1:57Speaker 2: Oh no, never. It was like gossip be but A
- 2:01Speaker 2: loved it. I loved it, like Hollywood entertainment gossipy. Yes, yes,
- 2:09Speaker 2: but man, I'm trying to remember the details. But it
- 2:12Speaker 2: would be like photos from events before. You know, this
- 2:15Speaker 2: is pre Instagram before, like we had access to all
- 2:18Speaker 2: of those things where they would be like this person
- 2:20Speaker 2: was at this restaurant and this person you know that
- 2:22Speaker 2: sort of.
- 2:23Speaker 1: Kind of that bridge between like US Weekly magazine and Instagram.
- 2:26Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah, because it was more in real time,
- 2:30Speaker 2: like you weren't waiting for an US Weekly to drop.
- 2:32Speaker 2: It was like the sacond sight.
- 2:34Speaker 1: Well, I'm gonna tell you from an SEO perspective, Pink
- 2:36Speaker 1: Is the New Blog is.
- 2:37Speaker 2: A terrible name. We didn't know anything at the time.
- 2:43Speaker 2: I'm just googling to see, Oh.
- 2:45Speaker 1: It still exists.
- 2:47Speaker 2: Oh well, there's I think it got. It's a women's
- 2:49Speaker 2: lifestyle website now, so I think it must have gotten.
- 2:53Speaker 1: As one does.
- 2:55Speaker 2: Is this? Oh so the guy who created it? According
- 2:59Speaker 2: to Wikipedia, Yea, best known for his celebrity gossip blog Pink,
- 3:03Speaker 2: is the new blog, which he launched in two thousand
- 3:05Speaker 2: and four. Ooh yeah real deep right, Okay, it shuddered
- 3:12Speaker 2: in two thousand and eight. This is how old it was.
- 3:15Speaker 2: It was hosted on blogger. Yeah, so the current website
- 3:20Speaker 2: is Trent dot blogspot dot com. It's appearance that the
- 3:23Speaker 2: website might still be there because you know, blogger was free.
- 3:27Speaker 2: Interesting deep cut? Well moving on, Wow, moving on, Let's
- 3:32Speaker 2: jump right into a synopsis of I don't even know
- 3:36Speaker 2: what this is called.
- 3:37Speaker 1: Hearts Around the Table. Josh is third third serving. The
- 3:42Speaker 1: synopsis is when after school programs see their funding cut,
- 3:47Speaker 1: teachers Josh and Ella turned to fundraising before banding together
- 3:51Speaker 1: in search of a larger donation. Falling hard along the way.
- 3:57Speaker 2: Mike Donus directed Hearts Around the Table Josh's third serve.
- 4:00Speaker 2: This is Mike's seventeenth directing credit and his first project
- 4:03Speaker 2: for Hallmark Channel.
- 4:04Speaker 1: The script was written by Paula Tiberius, who also penned
- 4:09Speaker 1: the first film in this collection, Jenna's First Love, with
- 4:13Speaker 1: a total of twelve writing credits to her name. Paula's
- 4:16Speaker 1: work also includes The Jane Mysteries, Murder at Moseby and
- 4:19Speaker 1: The Heiress and the Handyman, showcasing her talent for Heartfeldt
- 4:24Speaker 1: storytelling and engaging mystery.
- 4:27Speaker 2: Jake Epstein stars once again as Josh, with sixty three
- 4:30Speaker 2: acting credits to his name. Jake's no stranger to Hallmark fans.
- 4:32Speaker 2: He appeared in last year's Mistletoe Murders and starred in
- 4:35Speaker 2: all four of the Unwrapping Christmas movies.
- 4:38Speaker 1: Stephanie Bennett stars as Ella seventy, has forty six acting credits,
- 4:42Speaker 1: with recent Hallmark appearances in His and Hers Christmas Class
- 4:46Speaker 1: Reunion and a Throwback to The Nine Kittens of Christmas.
- 4:51Speaker 1: Millie Davis co stars as Gina. Millie has fifty acting
- 4:54Speaker 1: credits and has been seen in shows like The Umbrella Academy,
- 4:57Speaker 1: Odds Squad and the twenty seventeen movie Wonder. She's also
- 5:01Speaker 1: done a ton of voice work for animated series like
- 5:04Speaker 1: Esmey and Roy, little people and doozers doopsers.
- 5:09Speaker 2: Hey, let's take a quick break and we're gonna come
- 5:10Speaker 2: right back with our first impressions. Hey, Wendy, what is
- 5:22Speaker 2: your first impression of Josh's third serving?
- 5:25Speaker 1: Well, okay, hear me out. I watched this entire movie
- 5:30Speaker 1: in a like low key state of rage. And it
- 5:33Speaker 1: wasn't because it was bad, but it was because I
- 5:35Speaker 1: thought it was good and it made me resent every
- 5:37Speaker 1: minute I spent suffering watching the second one.
- 5:41Speaker 2: That's so interesting because you hated it.
- 5:45Speaker 1: You hated it, this one.
- 5:46Speaker 2: I didn't hate it. My first impression is this movie
- 5:48Speaker 2: is giving me pta flashback ten not in a good way.
- 5:52Speaker 1: One hundred percent the amount of times I'm watching this movie,
- 5:55Speaker 1: and I'm like, of course the arts are being like whatever,
- 5:59Speaker 1: I was gonna really mad at the whole thing. So
- 6:03Speaker 1: maybe I was just in a low key rage with
- 6:06Speaker 1: the storyline as well.
- 6:07Speaker 2: I don't know. So it's interesting that you say you
- 6:10Speaker 2: really liked it. Can I preface our us.
- 6:13Speaker 1: Oh no, no, no, no, I didn't really.
- 6:15Speaker 2: Okay, okay, okay, I liked it. Can I preface our
- 6:19Speaker 2: likes segments with sure? So I'm sitting down to write
- 6:25Speaker 2: my notes and like my wishes, I'm good. I did
- 6:27Speaker 2: to see that's I'm good, my likes, I'm like, because
- 6:31Speaker 2: here's what I think the problem is. I am faced
- 6:35Speaker 2: with the feeling that this series really should have been
- 6:37Speaker 2: two movies. I've seen all four movies at this point,
- 6:40Speaker 2: and when I look at the full story, I think
- 6:44Speaker 2: we would have better served these characters with two movies.
- 6:47Speaker 2: I agree. My feeling about this movie is that it
- 6:51Speaker 2: was fine. It was certainly more watchable than the second movie.
- 6:57Speaker 2: There are some things that I really about it, but
- 7:02Speaker 2: I think we're trying perhaps. I think with all of
- 7:06Speaker 2: the recurring characters and these movies airing week after week
- 7:13Speaker 2: after week as opposed to after an extended period of time,
- 7:17Speaker 2: I just don't think there's enough there to make this
- 7:21Speaker 2: four back to back full movies.
- 7:24Speaker 1: I agree, there's not enough meat. There's not enough content too,
- 7:27Speaker 1: like the storytelling. It's yeah, I agree, it should have
- 7:32Speaker 1: been maybe maybe two movies, and like you said, we
- 7:37Speaker 1: have seen all four at this point. This collection of
- 7:41Speaker 1: movies is really about Jenna.
- 7:43Speaker 2: Yep, right, yes, and that's what it really should have been,
- 7:48Speaker 2: Jenna's story and then great, we make it two movies,
- 7:50Speaker 2: and we have these interesting back characters. Look, I love
- 7:54Speaker 2: Mindy Cone. I love the idea that Jenna is a
- 7:58Speaker 2: part of this Foster family and they have this bound family,
- 8:01Speaker 2: and they all are there for each other, and they
- 8:04Speaker 2: all have other things happening outside of the family, but
- 8:08Speaker 2: I love them as that central unit that remains true
- 8:11Speaker 2: in this movie. Mindy con is the best character in
- 8:14Speaker 2: the series.
- 8:15Speaker 1: Well, I agree with that. I think I wish I
- 8:20Speaker 1: was like a film writer. I'm not so this is
- 8:24Speaker 1: gonna come out so clunky when I try to articulate it,
- 8:27Speaker 1: But I think it would have been so much cooler
- 8:31Speaker 1: if they would have taken like if the main over
- 8:35Speaker 1: arc was about Mindy Cohen's Angie and the Foster angle
- 8:42Speaker 1: of it all, and then operate under that umbrella.
- 8:48Speaker 2: Does that make sense? No, I think it totally makes sense.
- 8:51Speaker 2: I just think we're working with a system that requires
- 8:54Speaker 2: a romance, like, yeah, that is just the homemark formula.
- 8:59Speaker 2: And as much you and I are like, well, it
- 9:01Speaker 2: doesn't always need it, the viewers expect it. That is
- 9:04Speaker 2: the premise that Hallmark works under, Like we got a
- 9:08Speaker 2: love story or we have a mystery series to which
- 9:11Speaker 2: we're building towards a love story. Yeah, those are the
- 9:15Speaker 2: two premises under which we're working. So I don't disagree
- 9:19Speaker 2: with you. I think that's perhaps a more interesting story,
- 9:22Speaker 2: more compelling because I loved the Angi character. Me too,
- 9:26Speaker 2: but I don't think it's gonna happen in this.
- 9:28Speaker 1: Universe, unfortunately. I agree. Okay, so now do we want
- 9:33Speaker 1: to get yes? Nice? For me? I did think that
- 9:39Speaker 1: this third movie was so much better than the second
- 9:42Speaker 1: Sherry's Next Act, which I just thought was pretty dreadful
- 9:46Speaker 1: in comparison to One in three. It's obvious now the
- 9:54Speaker 1: writer was different for the second movie, so I felt
- 9:58Speaker 1: like this movie was much more in line with tone
- 10:02Speaker 1: of the first one. The second movie, to me, felt
- 10:06Speaker 1: like out of left field.
- 10:09Speaker 2: Yeah, there were some things that didn't match up timeline wise,
- 10:13Speaker 2: and they didn't flow for me in the second movie.
- 10:16Speaker 2: I like I said, I think this movie is so
- 10:18Speaker 2: much more watchable, And while there were parts of the
- 10:21Speaker 2: plot that made me want to scream, it had a
- 10:24Speaker 2: clear through line, like we knew what was going on here.
- 10:27Speaker 2: M Yeah. I really like the addition of our new
- 10:31Speaker 2: characters in this movie, and the characters of Ella and
- 10:34Speaker 2: Gina you know, Millie Davis as Gina, I don't love
- 10:40Speaker 2: like I know you're kind of like the resident child hater,
- 10:43Speaker 2: but I don't always love like every child or teenage
- 10:45Speaker 2: actor we get on these shows. And I thought she
- 10:47Speaker 2: was great. I thought her character was very relatable as
- 10:52Speaker 2: a teenager who's going through something and she was kind
- 10:56Speaker 2: of torn between like wanting answers about why things were
- 10:59Speaker 2: so hard and so not wanting something that was going
- 11:02Speaker 2: to make her different. I just thought she was real
- 11:05Speaker 2: fun and real cute and real enjoyable on screen.
- 11:08Speaker 1: Well, in my defense, I enjoyed Gina as well. I
- 11:12Speaker 1: know I am the resident child hater, but I like
- 11:14Speaker 1: when teenagers are done nicely, and I thought Gina was
- 11:18Speaker 1: done nicely. And I think Rory's done nicely to the
- 11:22Speaker 1: other teenager who appeared more in the first movie.
- 11:24Speaker 2: Yeah, he doesn't have to do here now.
- 11:26Speaker 1: But I liked Gena's storyline especially. I liked that this
- 11:32Speaker 1: movie tackled ADHD, which we never talk about these things,
- 11:38Speaker 1: those kind of things, not that like ADHD is taboo
- 11:41Speaker 1: or anything like that, but still like we don't really
- 11:44Speaker 1: ever talk about that and in a Hallmark movie. Yeah,
- 11:51Speaker 1: I liked her a lot. And what I especially liked
- 11:53Speaker 1: is that we got another foster storyline yeah to Rory's
- 11:58Speaker 1: in the first one. That makes sense that and Angie
- 12:00Speaker 1: would still be actively fostering children. She wouldn't just have
- 12:03Speaker 1: these like four grown adults now.
- 12:06Speaker 2: Yeah, and I love I love that this doesn't really
- 12:09Speaker 2: have anything to do with the movie. But I just
- 12:10Speaker 2: love that she's fostering teenagers because I think teenagers are
- 12:14Speaker 2: probably the among the hardest group to place. I think
- 12:19Speaker 2: taking in a teenager who's gonna have, you know, fourteen fifteen,
- 12:22Speaker 2: sixteen years of backstory with them is perhaps in some
- 12:27Speaker 2: ways a little more challenging, And so I like that
- 12:30Speaker 2: we're putting her as like, no, I'm not fostering babies
- 12:32Speaker 2: or little kids, like I'm in the thick of it.
- 12:35Speaker 2: I'm you know, we're And it's low drama in this
- 12:39Speaker 2: Hallmark movie. But I like the message it sends.
- 12:43Speaker 1: Yeah, I agree.
- 12:44Speaker 2: What else did you like? Speaking of new characters, I
- 12:47Speaker 2: really like Stephanie Bennett as Ella. She's great, and I
- 12:51Speaker 2: thought she and Jake Epstein had real cute chemistry on
- 12:54Speaker 2: screen together. I liked them as a couple a lot.
- 12:57Speaker 2: I just thought like their vibe was like fun and cute,
- 13:01Speaker 2: and it was very like New Romancy, and I thought
- 13:05Speaker 2: I loved like that bit at the end where like
- 13:07Speaker 2: they preen to pretend to propose. I almost felt like
- 13:09Speaker 2: it was a riff on Hallmark movies in general, especially
- 13:14Speaker 2: especially actually with movies two and four, which spoiler alert,
- 13:17Speaker 2: we get like kind of two unearned. I love yous
- 13:21Speaker 2: so yep I really enjoy I really enjoyed her. I
- 13:26Speaker 2: mean also a spoiler alert, she's hardly in the next movie.
- 13:30Speaker 2: I'm like, what are we doing here? She's so cute, Like,
- 13:32Speaker 2: give me more of her.
- 13:34Speaker 1: I know. I was thinking while watching this movie in
- 13:38Speaker 1: and putting my notes together, I was wondering, why hasn't she.
- 13:42Speaker 2: Been like the lead.
- 13:45Speaker 1: And I'm sure she probably has been a lead in
- 13:48Speaker 1: a Hallmark movie, but maybe not like a standout Hallmark movie.
- 13:52Speaker 2: Yeah, no, she should be. She could totally carry a movie.
- 13:55Speaker 1: She's so adorable. Yeah, and a great actor. Like, yeah,
- 13:59Speaker 1: I loved her. I'm like, put her in more stuff.
- 14:04Speaker 1: Speaking of fellow actors, I find myself drawn to Jake Epstein.
- 14:09Speaker 1: I don't know why. It's something about his.
- 14:12Speaker 2: Like goofy dad joke. Yeah, that I'm into he's just cutie,
- 14:18Speaker 2: Like I just he's cute. He's not yeah about him, He's.
- 14:22Speaker 1: No Wowie's Howie Webster, but.
- 14:25Speaker 2: But smoldering at you. No.
- 14:28Speaker 1: But I enjoy kind of like that comedic sort of
- 14:32Speaker 1: you know, easy going.
- 14:36Speaker 2: I'm meant to Jake Epstein totally.
- 14:39Speaker 1: And I'm excited because I know he's in Mistletoe Mistletoe Murders,
- 14:43Speaker 1: so I'm looking He's not in like every episode, but
- 14:46Speaker 1: I'm looking forward to seeing him in that, which I
- 14:51Speaker 1: think you didn't if you didn't know. We are reviewing
- 14:53Speaker 1: Mistletoe Murders this summer. So yeah, it's announcement, big announcement
- 14:57Speaker 1: coming soon.
- 14:58Speaker 2: Maybe maybe today. Maybe I'll drop that today. Yeah, it's
- 15:02Speaker 2: Mystery Summer here on Girls Gotten Hallmark.
- 15:05Speaker 1: Okay, do I have anything else? My last two little notes,
- 15:12Speaker 1: I think the character of Angie and I know we
- 15:14Speaker 1: already talked about her, but like, this is the best
- 15:16Speaker 1: human to ever live. I know she's like, oh, let
- 15:21Speaker 1: me help with your fundraiser. I want to be involved.
- 15:24Speaker 1: I'm like, you just don't get that kind of enthusiasm
- 15:27Speaker 1: from people, especially when it comes to like school stuff,
- 15:31Speaker 1: you know, as moms. Two teenagers in high school. Nobody
- 15:37Speaker 1: everybody's checked out by high school age parents don't want
- 15:40Speaker 1: to do anything right.
- 15:43Speaker 2: Right, No, no, no, So she's just a fabulous human.
- 15:49Speaker 1: My last little like is I did enjoy Andrew's proposal
- 15:53Speaker 1: to Jenna. It was so sweet.
- 15:55Speaker 2: It was in a.
- 15:56Speaker 1: Place of where she felt the most like love, you know,
- 16:01Speaker 1: with family. I thought it was sweet, even though a
- 16:04Speaker 1: bit awkward and not really sure why this happened in
- 16:07Speaker 1: Josh's movie, but whatever, Well, I.
- 16:10Speaker 2: Think it just goes to the fact that this these
- 16:12Speaker 2: movies are about Jenna. With the exception of movie two,
- 16:15Speaker 2: she is a main character in three of the four movies.
- 16:19Speaker 2: And I mean, we'll talk about it next week, but yeah,
- 16:24Speaker 2: Jenna is the vehicle, like she's she's driving this bus.
- 16:29Speaker 1: I honestly, it kind of irritates me. They should have
- 16:33Speaker 1: just if they're not going to do the Foster angle,
- 16:36Speaker 1: which I think they should have, I think they should
- 16:38Speaker 1: have just made it like Jenna's whatever and then like,
- 16:43Speaker 1: now meet my brother Josh.
- 16:44Speaker 2: You know what we have. Okay, it doesn't make any
- 16:49Speaker 2: sense to me. It's like it's kind of a bait
- 16:51Speaker 2: and switch. Yeah, a little bit, yeah, yeah, yes, because
- 16:57Speaker 2: in the In the first movie, you get Jenna's story
- 17:01Speaker 2: and you think we're gonna dive into that level. And
- 17:05Speaker 2: Jenna doesn't fade into the background, which is not to
- 17:08Speaker 2: say that I wanted her to. Her story is interesting.
- 17:10Speaker 2: I like Jenna and her partner whose name I don't know, Andrew,
- 17:15Speaker 2: thank you. But yeah, this is the Jenna Show. It's
- 17:20Speaker 2: the Jenna Show.
- 17:20Speaker 1: All right. Let's talk about wishes, which I felt like
- 17:22Speaker 1: we've talked about wishes this entire episode.
- 17:25Speaker 2: I know it's true. Look, you know we got to
- 17:30Speaker 2: go there. Let's talk about the fundraisers. I have a
- 17:34Speaker 2: lot to say. Go ahead, both as a former PTA
- 17:36Speaker 2: mom and as a person who worked in nonprofit fund
- 17:39Speaker 2: raising for several years of my life. First of all,
- 17:42Speaker 2: raffling off a giant teddy bear, y'all, nobody wants that.
- 17:44Speaker 2: Nobody's gonna pay for that. What are you doing here? Like,
- 17:49Speaker 2: what are we doing? What does it be? Big? It
- 17:52Speaker 2: needs to be a.
- 17:53Speaker 1: Week in Cabo, not a teddy Bear that you can
- 17:57Speaker 1: get at David Busters.
- 17:58Speaker 2: No nobody wants that. Also, somebody, I'm begging you, please
- 18:03Speaker 2: explain to me how book swap makes money. How does
- 18:06Speaker 2: a book swap you're swapping books like for like, there's
- 18:10Speaker 2: no money exchanged, they're not buying books and finally not finally, Additionally,
- 18:17Speaker 2: there are one bazillion people on a typical high school
- 18:20Speaker 2: track team. Where the hell are they?
- 18:23Speaker 1: Right, He's like working with one student ever.
- 18:27Speaker 2: One student is running and like there's like six students
- 18:30Speaker 2: out on the track during track practice. Y'all. Track teams
- 18:33Speaker 2: are huge. There's just there's multiple events. There's so many
- 18:38Speaker 2: you have JB and this movie suffered for lack of extras,
- 18:44Speaker 2: although I do have to say that the PTA meeting
- 18:46Speaker 2: with like eight people there did ring very true.
- 18:49Speaker 1: Oh yeah, those are the people that like barely or
- 18:52Speaker 1: those are the eight who always consistently show up and
- 18:55Speaker 1: then and then you can't get any more involvement.
- 18:58Speaker 2: Mm hmm yeah, yep.
- 19:02Speaker 1: My biggest wish is the storyline of there goes your
- 19:07Speaker 1: extracurricular programs because we have no money. Feels a little tired.
- 19:10Speaker 1: But what felt even more tired was the conflict between
- 19:13Speaker 1: Josh and Ella and they're like fighting between them about
- 19:18Speaker 1: getting what they need and her being like upset that
- 19:23Speaker 1: Josh took her money and nope, I know it just
- 19:27Speaker 1: is all to hallmark on the nose.
- 19:33Speaker 2: Especially annoyed that the solution to the problem is a
- 19:35Speaker 2: millionaire who can fund things.
- 19:38Speaker 1: Which is not realistic.
- 19:40Speaker 2: Nobody has millionaires for their high schools that are like, oh,
- 19:43Speaker 2: I just have million dollar projects every single year that
- 19:46Speaker 2: I'm funding.
- 19:48Speaker 1: What No, let me tell you about our secret club
- 19:52Speaker 1: of millionaires alumni.
- 19:56Speaker 2: So that said, dumb, neither of these programs needs one
- 20:01Speaker 2: million dollars? What are we doing? Like you didn't? Also,
- 20:07Speaker 2: why did we not just get all the band parents
- 20:10Speaker 2: in one weekend to clean out the room. They just
- 20:13Speaker 2: sit in this stinky room. Like when I was in
- 20:17Speaker 2: high school, I went to a public high school and
- 20:20Speaker 2: old it is not a nice high school, like never was.
- 20:24Speaker 1: It was old when you went there.
- 20:25Speaker 2: It was old when I went there. My parents went
- 20:27Speaker 2: to high school there. It was a high school, and
- 20:28Speaker 2: my parents were like that place was never nice. We
- 20:30Speaker 2: had a day pta organized. It was called Dustbuster Day.
- 20:33Speaker 2: It was a weekend and you they would have like
- 20:36Speaker 2: families come in and like we cleaned things. They would
- 20:39Speaker 2: be like, these are the areas we're cleaning or we're
- 20:41Speaker 2: repainting or whatever. Get those families in there and be like,
- 20:44Speaker 2: let's clear all this furniture out, scrub it down, throw
- 20:48Speaker 2: away that, Like, come on, what are we doing? You're
- 20:50Speaker 2: just gonna sit in this mess for the entire year
- 20:53Speaker 2: waiting for someone with money to come along and do
- 20:55Speaker 2: it for you.
- 20:57Speaker 1: Yeah, you know, you and I both went to public
- 20:59Speaker 1: high school and in almost the same area. I think
- 21:03Speaker 1: there was always like this busted down room that you
- 21:08Speaker 1: got put in. There's always a classroom, right that is
- 21:11Speaker 1: falling apart. Sure, maybe has like rain damage or you know,
- 21:17Speaker 1: like it's not taken care of, and there's always some
- 21:19Speaker 1: sort of like something happening in it, like I gotta
- 21:22Speaker 1: go to the music room today, and as well as
- 21:24Speaker 1: like musty old you know, water damage.
- 21:27Speaker 2: It just is what it is.
- 21:30Speaker 1: I'm not surprised seeing it in this movie. I thought
- 21:33Speaker 1: it was kind of funny. But you're right though, like
- 21:35Speaker 1: she should have organized the band parents to come and help, yes, or.
- 21:40Speaker 2: The nine billion foster siblings. Hey, can you come help
- 21:43Speaker 2: me clean this room out? I mean, yes, you need
- 21:46Speaker 2: to raise money, although it was kind of unclear to
- 21:48Speaker 2: me what they needed money for, like she just kept
- 21:51Speaker 2: talking about the state of the band room, and Okay, yeah,
- 21:55Speaker 2: a nicer space would be nice, but that's not much
- 21:57Speaker 2: you need to run the program, and she kept like
- 22:00Speaker 2: giving this speech. Sorry I interrupted you, but she kept
- 22:02Speaker 2: getting speech about like the kids deserve a nice speace. Okay,
- 22:05Speaker 2: then give them one.
- 22:07Speaker 1: Well, now are you putting it on the teacher to
- 22:09Speaker 1: figure it out?
- 22:10Speaker 2: I'm not on the teacher. Look sure, probably it is
- 22:15Speaker 2: too much like Okay, disclaimer like former teacher here, my
- 22:18Speaker 2: husband's a teacher. Like, I'm not blind to the plight
- 22:21Speaker 2: of teachers, but I just think that there were things.
- 22:25Speaker 2: You're right, she shouldn't have to handle all that herself,
- 22:28Speaker 2: but while she's in the background running these fundraisers, perhaps
- 22:32Speaker 2: some of her time could have been used a little
- 22:34Speaker 2: bit more wisely.
- 22:35Speaker 1: Okay, question for you on the flip side, what is
- 22:37Speaker 1: what does Josh need money for for the track team?
- 22:40Speaker 2: Well, this is I don't understand. They're like, we're going
- 22:42Speaker 2: to refurbish your track, and he's like, but that's not
- 22:44Speaker 2: we don't even need that. He did say they needed
- 22:46Speaker 2: new uniforms. Okay, fine, but I was like, this guy's
- 22:50Speaker 2: coming in with money that you don't even need, Like
- 22:52Speaker 2: your track looks perfectly fine.
- 22:55Speaker 1: What because there's no kids running the things?
- 22:58Speaker 2: The things like I was thinking about this too. I'm like,
- 23:01Speaker 2: what do they actually need money for because they don't
- 23:03Speaker 2: really talk about it, like buses, like that's what a
- 23:06Speaker 2: track program needs money for. That that's expensive, you know, uniforms,
- 23:11Speaker 2: But but what else, Like what are you paying for?
- 23:13Speaker 2: Like there's not a lot of supplies in track, Like
- 23:18Speaker 2: there's like a shot put, you know, but there's not
- 23:22Speaker 2: like balls and nets those things you jump over. What
- 23:26Speaker 2: are those called like hurdles like hurdles? Yeah, how often
- 23:29Speaker 2: do those need to be replaced?
- 23:30Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 23:32Speaker 2: I don't know a lot of that was unclear. And also,
- 23:34Speaker 2: please tell me this are track in music the only
- 23:36Speaker 2: two extracurriculars at this school because they're like we cut
- 23:39Speaker 2: the extracurricular budget and now it's banned in track that
- 23:42Speaker 2: do get out? And I was like, is there not
- 23:44Speaker 2: a soccer team? Do we not have a drama c?
- 23:48Speaker 1: Like?
- 23:48Speaker 2: What is happening that you've got two extracurriculars and that's
- 23:51Speaker 2: why there's only six people on the track team because
- 23:54Speaker 2: apparently there's only twelve people at the school.
- 23:56Speaker 1: Yep, yep, here's my next wish I and I mentioned
- 24:01Speaker 1: it before. I really liked Genus storyline, but I do
- 24:05Speaker 1: think it almost overshadowed the main storyline between Josh and
- 24:09Speaker 1: el One. Yeah, my takeaway is they should have made
- 24:12Speaker 1: her the main storyline and Josh and Ella's and the
- 24:15Speaker 1: fundraising the subplot. I enjoyed that storyline. I really enjoyed
- 24:22Speaker 1: that actor Millie Davis. I thought her story was fresh
- 24:27Speaker 1: for Hallmark. So missed opportunity totally. And you already mentioned oh,
- 24:36Speaker 1: I have two more things. You already mentioned this one before.
- 24:38Speaker 1: But Josh and Ella's relationship way too fast. The way
- 24:42Speaker 1: I yelled no when I said I love you, I
- 24:46Speaker 1: was like, get out. What is the time frame here?
- 24:48Speaker 2: A whole four weeks? Maybe get out of here? Get
- 24:53Speaker 2: out of here. Agree.
- 24:56Speaker 1: My final wish is I don't understand the title of
- 25:01Speaker 1: this movie well either Josh's Third Serving mean, like, it
- 25:06Speaker 1: makes no sense. I get the hearts around the table
- 25:09Speaker 1: because they have their Sunday night suppers or whatever.
- 25:12Speaker 2: Yeah, but what doesn't make sense is the second movie
- 25:15Speaker 2: is Sherry's second act. I get that because I know,
- 25:20Speaker 2: But my point is they're trying to make it third
- 25:24Speaker 2: serving because but none of the other ones are like
- 25:26Speaker 2: food related. They're like, I, no, no, we can't make
- 25:29Speaker 2: it work. Let's come back to the table. But the
- 25:30Speaker 2: other like Jenna's first Love, I don't know Josh's third
- 25:35Speaker 2: lap would have made more sense.
- 25:37Speaker 1: Oh, it would have, that would have made Yeah. I
- 25:39Speaker 1: know that they have to put the word third to
- 25:43Speaker 1: indicate the third movie, but serving doesn't work with it.
- 25:46Speaker 2: No, not at all, so dumb.
- 25:48Speaker 1: Do you have any other wishes?
- 25:50Speaker 2: No, ma'am?
- 25:51Speaker 1: Okay, gad if we did see that, I am.
- 25:56Speaker 2: I have just a few. Okay. There's an inconsistent use
- 26:00Speaker 2: of voiceover during texting in this movie and in the
- 26:03Speaker 2: first movie. I called out how nice it was when
- 26:05Speaker 2: they're texting we hear the voiceovers of the other characters,
- 26:08Speaker 2: because sometimes it's hard to read those on screen. Well,
- 26:11Speaker 2: this time, sometimes they did it, sometimes they didn't. Sometimes
- 26:14Speaker 2: the character would like type out loud with like speaking
- 26:17Speaker 2: what they were texting. But all or nothing people, and
- 26:22Speaker 2: preferably all I wanted. Those textboxes were hard to read.
- 26:27Speaker 1: The Zephon the director.
- 26:29Speaker 2: I think that's got to be editing.
- 26:31Speaker 1: Okay, Well, I wonder, and we don't dig that deep
- 26:35Speaker 1: into like who edits these movies. But since we have
- 26:37Speaker 1: a different director and a different writer, I wonder if
- 26:40Speaker 1: there's a different editing team as well.
- 26:42Speaker 2: Yeah, you're right, us it has to be some sort
- 26:44Speaker 2: of collaboration because the editor is not just like making
- 26:47Speaker 2: those choices. The director would have to be like, let's
- 26:49Speaker 2: record a voiceover for this scene, and then the editor
- 26:51Speaker 2: puts it together. Yeah, good question.
- 26:58Speaker 1: I my two digit see that's one of them. Is
- 27:02Speaker 1: kind of a question, and it goes to the timeline. Now,
- 27:09Speaker 1: I have watched all these movies kind of like back
- 27:12Speaker 1: to back. I may have I may be mistaken, but
- 27:18Speaker 1: I swear, I swear they have Jenna trying on a
- 27:24Speaker 1: wedding dress and movie too. Maybe it's the Keky movie
- 27:28Speaker 1: that I'm getting it confused with. I know she's in
- 27:30Speaker 1: the wedding dress and the Kiky movie in the fourth movie,
- 27:32Speaker 1: but was she ever in a dress in the second movie?
- 27:35Speaker 2: I don't recall her trying on a wedding dress in
- 27:37Speaker 2: the second.
- 27:37Speaker 1: Then that's probably my own personnel. Did you see that?
- 27:43Speaker 1: When do you get it together? And my other did
- 27:46Speaker 1: you see that? And then we can finish yours, which
- 27:48Speaker 1: there was a really funny scene between characters Josh and Andrew.
- 27:52Speaker 1: I enjoy their banter a lot. I think they're very funny.
- 27:56Speaker 1: But and I can't remember what the particular line is,
- 27:59Speaker 1: and they're kind of in each other. But Andrew Weeks
- 28:01Speaker 1: winks at Josh and I just laughed out loud. I
- 28:04Speaker 1: thought it was so funny, Like I was like, Oh,
- 28:06Speaker 1: these guys get along.
- 28:07Speaker 2: Yeah, they had good banter. Yeah, they had a good vibe.
- 28:11Speaker 1: Give me a movie with them. Give me a movie
- 28:13Speaker 1: with the four of them, you know, Stephanie Bennett and
- 28:16Speaker 1: Jake Epstein and Jenna Jenna Ashley Newbroke anyway, you know
- 28:20Speaker 1: what I mean? Okay, tell me the rest of you did.
- 28:22Speaker 2: Just see that they're just little one. The band is
- 28:25Speaker 2: playing Twinkle Trinkle, Little Star, which made me laugh. They
- 28:29Speaker 2: play like multiple times. I was like, do we know
- 28:31Speaker 2: anything else? And uh the Green Screen Proposal locations Wolf,
- 28:38Speaker 2: Oh terrible. Yes, yes we're inter visiting those. That's all.
- 28:43Speaker 2: What'd you rate this movie?
- 28:44Speaker 1: I gave it three stars?
- 28:45Speaker 2: Wow? I mean I gave it two point five.
- 28:48Speaker 1: Oh okay, wait, I need to go back and see
- 28:52Speaker 1: what I gave Sherry Cherry.
- 28:55Speaker 2: I think I gave Sherry too.
- 28:58Speaker 1: I gave you a two stars?
- 28:59Speaker 2: Yeah, what did I give them? Jenna Jenna? I gave
- 29:03Speaker 2: three point five.
- 29:04Speaker 1: I gave Jenna three points five too, so I don't
- 29:07Speaker 1: hate my three point zero. Your two point whatever is
- 29:11Speaker 1: mean low rough, surprising, surprising, surprising, surprising.
