- 0:04Speaker 1: podcast on the iHeartRadio app.
- 0:07Speaker 2: Now back to Mark Simon on woor.
- 0:11Speaker 1: Hey, let's sen some calls. Let's go to Rich and
- 0:13Speaker 1: Myrtle Beach. Rich, how you doing?
- 0:16Speaker 3: Hey? Thanks Mark, good to talk to you again. You know,
- 0:18Speaker 3: this thing in Minnesota was gonna happen. The Dems wanted
- 0:20Speaker 3: this to happen. They've been calling for this kind of
- 0:23Speaker 3: action for a year and a half now, and he
- 0:26Speaker 3: knew what was going to happen. And all these people,
- 0:28Speaker 3: these politicians jumped in front of a microphone before they
- 0:31Speaker 3: had any facts. And now they're going to write and
- 0:33Speaker 3: burn down Minneapolis, just like they did after Floyd or
- 0:37Speaker 3: whatever his name was. It's just discussing. The press just
- 0:40Speaker 3: sits by and does absolutely nothing about it. Can help.
- 0:43Speaker 1: Actually, they do a lot. They go crazy trying to
- 0:45Speaker 1: rile everybody up. You're right in the offices of CNN
- 0:49Speaker 1: and MS now in the New York Times, when this
- 0:52Speaker 1: video came in, they actually said to themselves, Great, this
- 0:56Speaker 1: is great. We can use this week, can use this
- 0:58Speaker 1: for months. Now let's go to Mara in Nevada. Mara,
- 1:01Speaker 1: how you doing?
- 1:03Speaker 4: Mark? This is starting my forty sixth year of having
- 1:08Speaker 4: you in my life.
- 1:09Speaker 1: Oh my god.
- 1:11Speaker 4: And you know what the best thing was six months
- 1:14Speaker 4: ago I met you and rugged you. Was that six
- 1:17Speaker 4: months ago I sent into my life?
- 1:20Speaker 1: Yes, Mara and Vincent came to New York. They went
- 1:22Speaker 1: to the legendary Patsy's restaurant.
- 1:25Speaker 4: Yes, and he's been in my life. We talked at
- 1:28Speaker 4: least every week.
- 1:30Speaker 1: Wow, that's great. And if you go to my Instagram
- 1:32Speaker 1: you can see a picture of Vincent and Mara at Patsy's.
- 1:35Speaker 1: You gotta scroll back, like, what.
- 1:36Speaker 4: A great day, Mark Darling. You put a smile on
- 1:39Speaker 4: my face. I'm very, very old. So let's see how
- 1:42Speaker 4: long you're could be doing it.
- 1:44Speaker 1: A spring chicken as they used to say. Okay, I
- 1:49Speaker 1: need all right, Mara, thanks for calling. Let's go to
- 1:51Speaker 1: Tony and White Plains. Tony, how you doing, Yeah, Mark.
- 1:55Speaker 2: Mark, those hippoprists over there in the other station at ABC.
- 2:00Speaker 1: Don't pick on them. They're all nice people.
- 2:01Speaker 2: Yeah, well they're the reason why they got zoron because
- 2:05Speaker 2: especially Salato over there, domin.
- 2:07Speaker 1: Catta, I don't pick friends of mine. Don't pick on them,
- 2:11Speaker 1: I know.
- 2:11Speaker 2: But he started from day one Kurts came when you know,
- 2:14Speaker 2: you know why he kept saying that, because he was
- 2:16Speaker 2: afraid if Curtis did win.
- 2:17Speaker 1: No, no, no, you know why they kept saying that. They
- 2:19Speaker 1: convinced themselves to that. You know, you can't get mad
- 2:22Speaker 1: at somebody for their uh, they're the.
- 2:25Speaker 2: Reason why they got zoron, And they're saying that.
- 2:28Speaker 1: Well, if you got to blame somebody for Zorn, you
- 2:30Speaker 1: got to blame Andrew Cuomo. This is all his fault.
- 2:34Speaker 1: He came along and it didn't just start with the
- 2:37Speaker 1: election season. He started about two years ago, working on
- 2:40Speaker 1: the whole crowd there, the whole Upper East side, the
- 2:43Speaker 1: Hampton's Palm Beach. He was whining and dining all these donors,
- 2:47Speaker 1: these big they're nice people, the big donors, but they're
- 2:51Speaker 1: the dumbest people in the world when it comes to politics.
- 2:53Speaker 1: They always backed the wrong But he convinced them that
- 2:56Speaker 1: only he can win. I don't know how the hell
- 2:58Speaker 1: he convinced pretty. It's a fascinating thing to study. Here's
- 3:03Speaker 1: the guy who just got run out of office with
- 3:05Speaker 1: the police chasing him. Here's a guy who left and
- 3:09Speaker 1: resigned in disgrace two years later. He's convincing them he
- 3:12Speaker 1: could be elected. That's like Nixon two years after Watergate
- 3:15Speaker 1: thinking he can run again. Give Elliot Spitzer some credit.
- 3:18Speaker 1: At least he's a classy guy about it. He got
- 3:20Speaker 1: run out of office with the criminal kind of things
- 3:24Speaker 1: hanging around over his head. He knows he can't run again.
- 3:27Speaker 1: But Cuomo convinced them he could run again. He completely
- 3:31Speaker 1: screwed up the Democratic primary by scaring Eric Adams out
- 3:35Speaker 1: of it. Had been no Cuomo, Eric Adams would have
- 3:39Speaker 1: run for reelection, would have been in the primary, probably
- 3:42Speaker 1: could have won the Democratic primary. He can out. Cuomo's
- 3:46Speaker 1: the world's worst debater. He got beaten to a pulp
- 3:48Speaker 1: by Montani in two debates. Adams would have done better.
- 3:52Speaker 1: He's not the most articulate guy in the world, but
- 3:54Speaker 1: he can be charming in those debates. He probably would
- 3:57Speaker 1: have got the nomination and that would have been the
- 3:59Speaker 1: end of it. Let's go to Bob in Montvale, New Jersey. Bob,
- 4:02Speaker 1: how you doing good?
- 4:04Speaker 5: Mard Thanks a lot, But I don't want to like
- 4:07Speaker 5: keep loading up on the Somalians. But you know, in
- 4:10Speaker 5: Maine there's a very similar problem, but probably worse. You know,
- 4:15Speaker 5: a few years ago there was that mass shooting there,
- 4:17Speaker 5: eighteen people murdered.
- 4:19Speaker 1: Yeah, all the money.
- 4:21Speaker 5: That was collected gofund me was directed to Somalian NGO.
- 4:26Speaker 1: Is there. Oh yeah, No, it's bad everywhere. In fact,
- 4:29Speaker 1: people think California may set the all time record for
- 4:31Speaker 1: this kind of fraud. They haven't started to look into
- 4:33Speaker 1: it yet, and they think Illinois's got a huge, huge
- 4:36Speaker 1: number when it comes to this kind of fraud. It's
- 4:38Speaker 1: all over the place. And the Somalians in the fraud
- 4:42Speaker 1: schemes of Minnesota are so thrilled about this shooting yesterday
- 4:46Speaker 1: because it gets them off the front page for a while.
- 4:49Speaker 1: Let's go to Grace, Rockland County. Grace, how you doing.
- 4:52Speaker 6: Hi? I'm also a town.
- 4:55Speaker 1: I tell you you that's so loud that people sleep
- 4:58Speaker 1: in here. Hold it down.
- 4:59Speaker 6: Oh okay, okay, I project. I was a New York
- 5:01Speaker 6: City school teacher.
- 5:03Speaker 1: Listen, that's a south school teacher talks. You walk in
- 5:06Speaker 1: and say, welcome to class.
- 5:08Speaker 6: Yes, you gotta get wake them up, let me tell
- 5:10Speaker 6: you because they have still not okay what I want
- 5:14Speaker 6: to say?
- 5:14Speaker 1: A school teacher.
- 5:16Speaker 6: Of course, I was a winter Hunter college. I graduated
- 5:19Speaker 6: with honest get a little. Come on, because I sound
- 5:23Speaker 6: like a homie doesn't mean I'm not refine and ed.
- 5:27Speaker 1: No, you're very fine. In fact, I can't believe you
- 5:29Speaker 1: went to Hunter. I was thinking Oxford, Cambridge or something.
- 5:31Speaker 6: No, no, no, no, I was a child of an immigrant.
- 5:34Speaker 6: I went to Hunter. Okay, what I'm calling about is this.
- 5:38Speaker 6: I feel sorry the woman got killed, but she and
- 5:41Speaker 6: her partner should have worried about not putting themselves in danger.
- 5:46Speaker 6: Actually one of them.
- 5:49Speaker 1: She's married to a woman, and the woman, the partner,
- 5:51Speaker 1: said this is all my fault. I shouldn't have brought
- 5:53Speaker 1: her into this situation. I shouldn't have brought her to this protest.
- 5:56Speaker 6: Right. I'm glad you said that. But the thing is you,
- 6:00Speaker 6: as a mother, you do not put yourself in that
- 6:03Speaker 6: kind of danger. I feel very sorry, but unfortunately you
- 6:08Speaker 6: reap what you sow.
- 6:10Speaker 1: Now, Grace, where do you live in Rockland County?
- 6:12Speaker 6: Oh? I'm in I'm in Clarkstown.
- 6:15Speaker 1: Now, Clarkstown's a beautiful small town. When you talk like
- 6:18Speaker 1: that in Clarkstown, can they tell you from New York?
- 6:21Speaker 6: Yes?
- 6:21Speaker 1: I don't see. What's the regular Sherlock Holmes that they
- 6:23Speaker 1: figured it out?
- 6:24Speaker 6: I don't really care what anybody says.
- 6:27Speaker 1: You're very charming.
- 6:30Speaker 6: I want to say something my accent when you were
- 6:34Speaker 6: when you were up the line, you gave me one
- 6:37Speaker 6: hundred and fifty dollars because I had the most I
- 6:40Speaker 6: don't know, offensive accent or whatever.
- 6:42Speaker 1: Well, who did that? Who did that? I did?
- 6:47Speaker 6: I got three gift cards for me. Yeah, from the station.
- 6:52Speaker 1: You want to contest for the worst accent?
- 6:55Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 6:55Speaker 1: Oh well, you're a nice woman, Grace, call again.
- 7:00Speaker 6: Don't thank you, And you're very good and I think
- 7:04Speaker 6: you're great.
