- 0:34Speaker 1: Always an interesting way to start the program off with
- 0:36Speaker 1: Rich the pharmacist. But you know, when he said, well,
- 0:42Speaker 1: it's not that big a deal. 450 a gallon is
- 0:44Speaker 1: a big deal. And I hope the price comes down.
- 0:47Speaker 1: Isn't it odd how things can change when you go
- 0:50Speaker 1: from Yeah, where you're starting to say, now you're looking
- 0:53Speaker 1: for $ 3. 90 a gallon, because you see it at $ 4.
- 0:57Speaker 2: 50 a gallon. It's crazy. You're on the air.
- 1:03Speaker 3: Hey, Ron, when I called the show, when Trump first
- 1:08Speaker 3: got elected president.
- 1:10Speaker 1: I'm trying to figure out, folks, those of you that
- 1:13Speaker 1: seem to just hate Fort Lauderdale Frank. I mean, I
- 1:17Speaker 1: don't understand your hatred of Fort Lauderdale Frank because, you know,
- 1:22Speaker 1: he's just calling it as he sees it. And I
- 1:27Speaker 1: just don't understand some of you folks. I listen and
- 1:31Speaker 1: I pay attention to what he has to say. Frank
- 1:36Speaker 1: is no dummy, and I say that with you on
- 1:38Speaker 1: the line. So go ahead with what you were saying.
- 1:42Speaker 3: Yeah, when Trump was first elected president, I said that
- 1:47Speaker 3: China makes a hybrid electric vehicle that only costs $ 13, 700
- 1:52Speaker 3: in U.S. dollars. And I was excoriated by the Trump supporters.
- 2:04Speaker 3: One guy said I was weird.
- 2:06Speaker 4: You're weird, Frank.
- 2:07Speaker 3: You're weird.
- 2:08Speaker 5: And another person said if I love China so much,
- 2:11Speaker 5: I should move there.
- 2:13Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 2:13Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 2:28Speaker 2: And you were just, I do remember that. I remember that.
- 2:31Speaker 1: And you were just pointing out what they had available,
- 2:34Speaker 1: what was going on.
- 2:35Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 2:37Speaker 3: And they also have an economical car that only costs $ 7, 800,
- 2:43Speaker 3: and it can drive on water. If you want to
- 2:49Speaker 3: go to Toronto, you have to go where? Michigan, Detroit,
- 2:54Speaker 3: cross over to Windsor, and drive all the way east.
- 2:57Speaker 1: You know, the guru of Gerard just sent me– he
- 3:01Speaker 1: ordered an e-trike 55 miles on a charge. The guru
- 3:07Speaker 1: of Gerard's, the professor out in Gerard, Miguel, sent me
- 3:12Speaker 1: a picture. He ordered this e-trike. I've got to talk
- 3:16Speaker 1: to him about this. He's officially like an old fart.
- 3:18Speaker 1: If he's riding this e-trike around, he's going to look like–
- 3:23Speaker 1: like he's 102 years old. Mike, you better call me.
- 3:27Speaker 1: I need to have an intervention with you on that
- 3:28Speaker 1: kind of stuff. But maybe is this his answer to
- 3:31Speaker 1: get in Girard to go down to the hot dog
- 3:33Speaker 1: shop or something like that to save gas?
- 3:35Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 3:37Speaker 3: Well, I also wanted to defend you. Ted, the neocon
- 3:43Speaker 3: says that you, as far as the Iran war, you
- 3:47Speaker 3: want to wave the white flag and surrender because you
- 3:50Speaker 3: support ending the war. Well, that's because Ted has never
- 3:55Speaker 3: served in the military and has no idea what he's
- 3:59Speaker 3: talking about. Surrendering is when you're in battle and surrender
- 4:03Speaker 3: to the enemy by raising your hands and allowing them
- 4:07Speaker 3: to disarm you and take you prisoner, such as when
- 4:10Speaker 3: you run out of ammunition or are surrounded and isolated
- 4:14Speaker 3: from friendly rescue or support. You know, Ron, Trump can
- 4:19Speaker 3: declare victory, bring the troops home, And they get to
- 4:23Speaker 3: keep their arms and weapons, and no one will be
- 4:26Speaker 3: taken prisoner by Iranians.
- 4:28Speaker 1: I don't think– I would say to you, I don't
- 4:31Speaker 1: think that you're going to see any boots on the ground,
- 4:34Speaker 1: as they like to say, because look how far Iran
- 4:37Speaker 1: has thrown us.
- 4:37Speaker 2: It's surrounded by mountains.
- 4:39Speaker 1: I mean, this is a big country with 93 million people,
- 4:43Speaker 1: and it's got mountains like on three sides of it.
- 4:47Speaker 1: This would not be an easy mission if you brought
- 4:50Speaker 1: in boots on the ground, as they like to say.
- 4:53Speaker 1: It would– This is a difficult test. Now, do I
- 4:57Speaker 1: sit here and say, is Iran taking a beating? Absolutely,
- 5:00Speaker 1: economically in every way. But I will also sit here
- 5:04Speaker 1: and say, are we taking a beating? Yes, we are, too,
- 5:09Speaker 1: with inflation and the economy and potentially the midterms. Now,
- 5:14Speaker 1: do you think– I said again, do you think the
- 5:16Speaker 1: people in Iran– think like you or want to live
- 5:19Speaker 1: like you or want to be like you. It's a
- 5:21Speaker 1: different world. It's a different culture. It's a different background.
- 5:24Speaker 1: In most cases, they hate you and they hate what
- 5:27Speaker 1: you stand for. So you, you view them from your
- 5:31Speaker 1: standpoint and that's not how they think. So I sit
- 5:35Speaker 1: back and say, I don't know. I don't know where
- 5:38Speaker 1: this thing is at and stand by. It's a Fort Lauderdale, Frank.
- 5:43Speaker 1: I like the guy and I'll be back right after this.
- 5:46Speaker 2: So stay tuned.
- 5:48Speaker 4: News Radio 570 WKVN.
- 5:49Speaker 9: State agents are investigating a fatal officer-involved shooting in Finley.
- 5:57Speaker 10: The incident happened yesterday afternoon at a roadway inn on
- 6:00Speaker 10: Broad Avenue. Authorities say 37-year-old Holden Smith was waving a
- 6:04Speaker 10: gun around in the hotel's parking lot and was shot
- 6:07Speaker 10: by police when he raised the weapon. Columbus police are
- 6:10Speaker 10: looking for a pair of unidentified suspects following a Westside
- 6:13Speaker 10: shooting yesterday evening. It happened on West Broad Street at
- 6:17Speaker 10: around 5.30 p.m. The victim was found with a gunshot
- 6:20Speaker 10: wound and taken to the hospital. He's expected to survive.
- 6:23Speaker 10: Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose says more poll workers
- 6:27Speaker 10: are needed for the November midterm election. LaRose's office is
- 6:30Speaker 10: helping county election boards boost staffing by promoting its Defend
- 6:34Speaker 10: Democracy toolkit throughout Ohio. Folks who are interested can contact
- 6:38Speaker 10: their county board of elections or visit VoteOhio.gov. I'm Andy Betts.

- 6:51Speaker 4: Never sounded so good.
- 6:53Speaker 2: A to Z dependable services. Plumbing, sound, Ron Verb.
- 6:56Speaker 9: On NewsRadio 570 WKBN.
- 7:02Speaker 2: Back to it.
- 7:02Speaker 1: NewsRadio 570 WKBN. 3.34 here in the afternoon. All right, Frank,
- 7:07Speaker 1: go ahead with what you were saying.
- 7:10Speaker 3: Well, when I analyzed uranium stocks. China has 64 reactors running,
- 7:16Speaker 3: 37 under construction, almost half of every reactor under construction
- 7:24Speaker 3: in the world, and 186 reactors planned or proposed. And
- 7:30Speaker 3: China has a target of 110 gigawatts by 2030, almost
- 7:33Speaker 3: double what they have now. Therefore, when China buys uranium,
- 7:43Speaker 3: China pays well. They pay early, and they negotiate long-term
- 7:48Speaker 3: contracts to secure future supply. Now, I'm thinking, instead of
- 7:54Speaker 3: going to war against Iran on Israel's behalf, why not
- 8:01Speaker 3: trade with them? You know, a lot of uranium is
- 8:05Speaker 3: not being sold to the good old United States anymore.
- 8:09Speaker 3: A lot of uranium comes from Central Asia, and they
- 8:13Speaker 3: border China. And they are negotiating deals to sell uranium
- 8:19Speaker 3: to China. So wouldn't it be better to make peace
- 8:25Speaker 3: with everybody and not go to war on behalf of
- 8:27Speaker 3: Israel and go back to trading like the Founding Fathers envisioned?
- 8:32Speaker 3: Don't go chasing dragons overseas.
- 8:36Speaker 12: But no.
- 8:37Speaker 3: You know, uranium is a very important commodity, and it's
- 8:45Speaker 3: very illiquid. Just a little bit of buying can drive
- 8:48Speaker 3: the price way up. And also, I wanted to mention
- 8:56Speaker 3: the cost of capital, because it's very important to our economy.
- 9:02Speaker 3: And I'll explain in a minute. But supply-side economics... corrected
- 9:07Speaker 3: the outdated theory of the cost of capital. And that
- 9:11Speaker 3: theory attributes the cost of capital to the interest rate.
- 9:16Speaker 3: The higher the interest rate, the higher the cost of capital. Now,
- 9:20Speaker 3: government budget deficits drive up interest rates and crowd out
- 9:25Speaker 3: private investment, while high rates of savings and investment lowered
- 9:31Speaker 3: the interest rate and lowered the cost of capital. I've
- 9:34Speaker 3: always said China's a nation of of savers and investors,
- 9:39Speaker 3: and we're a consumer economy. We're a nation of debtors
- 9:43Speaker 3: and spenders. But, you know, Ron, also taxation, including the
- 9:50Speaker 3: tariff tax, the tariff tax and inflation tax has an
- 9:57Speaker 3: even larger effect in driving up the cost. of capital
- 10:01Speaker 3: more than the Fed raising interest rates. And Ron, the
- 10:08Speaker 3: cost of capital is highly inelastic in regards to interest rates,
- 10:13Speaker 3: but because income taxes and all taxes have a higher
- 10:18Speaker 3: much greater impact on raising the cost of capital. Warren
- 10:23Speaker 3: Buffett said it doesn't matter if the Democrats or the
- 10:27Speaker 3: Republicans take over the House and Senate and the executive.
- 10:32Speaker 3: He believes that taxes are.
- 10:34Speaker 12: Going way up.
- 10:36Speaker 3: And I tell you what, you want to ruin the economy?
- 10:40Speaker 3: You don't want money for future investment so people have
- 10:45Speaker 3: more jobs? What's Generation Z going to do They're screwed, Ron.
- 10:51Speaker 3: They're living at home. Where are the jobs for them
- 10:55Speaker 3: going to be? I've always said they're paying into Social Security,
- 10:59Speaker 3: they're paying into Medicare, and they're not going to see
- 11:02Speaker 3: a penny out of either one of those when they
- 11:05Speaker 3: get older.
- 11:07Speaker 2: I hope you're wrong. Thank you, Frank. Appreciate it. All right,
- 11:11Speaker 2: you're on the air. Hello. Whoops, wait a second here.
- 11:13Speaker 2: I've got to do this. You're on the air. Yeah,
- 11:16Speaker 2: Ted the Conservative.
- 11:18Speaker 13: What are you doing, buddy?
- 11:19Speaker 1: I'm causing hate and discontent here on NewsRadio 570.
- 11:24Speaker 13: That's what I was going to say. You're causing hate
- 11:25Speaker 13: and discontent.
- 11:26Speaker 2: Yes.
- 11:26Speaker 13: You know, I had to call you. I missed the
- 11:29Speaker 13: program yesterday, so I was listening to the podcast. And
- 11:33Speaker 13: that podcast is just great because when someone like the
- 11:36Speaker 13: anti-Semite comes on, you just fast forward. You get tired
- 11:38Speaker 13: of hearing.
- 11:39Speaker 14: About all this.
- 11:39Speaker 1: I don't want to engage in specific name-calling like that
- 11:44Speaker 1: against callers.
- 11:44Speaker 7: Well, you didn't say that.
- 11:46Speaker 2: All right, so.
- 11:46Speaker 4: When he called me a neocon.
- 11:47Speaker 2: Okay, so.
- 11:49Speaker 13: Well, but anyways, why I called you. Rules for one,
- 11:53Speaker 13: rules for all. So you decide.
- 11:55Speaker 2: I'm the rule enforcer.
- 11:58Speaker 4: J.J.
- 11:59Speaker 13: The Trumpster, formerly known as J.J. the Liberal.
- 12:02Speaker 2: Yes.
- 12:04Speaker 13: I'm calling to say that, you know, I was really
- 12:07Speaker 13: glad I called that day and said the things I
- 12:09Speaker 13: did that kicked him off and forced him to the doctor.
- 12:14Speaker 1: He's had electric shock, just like one flew over the
- 12:17Speaker 1: cuckoo's nest. He's had some electric shock, and all of
- 12:20Speaker 1: a sudden he is now J.J.
- 12:24Speaker 2: The Trumpster. Yeah.
- 12:26Speaker 13: I think we have to knock off the formerly known
- 12:29Speaker 13: act because that doesn't even exist anymore.
- 12:31Speaker 14: I think we succeeded.
- 12:32Speaker 4: That's the only reason I called because every time he calls,
- 12:36Speaker 4: I laugh.
- 12:37Speaker 15: I know.
- 12:38Speaker 1: He's getting better and better.
- 12:41Speaker 2: Yes, he is. He is getting better and better. You laugh.
- 12:46Speaker 4: I laugh too.
- 12:47Speaker 2: I mean, he plays his part so well as J.J.
- 12:52Speaker 2: the Trumpster.
- 12:53Speaker 13: Yeah, I'm not wrong, am I? I mean, it's entertainment
- 12:58Speaker 13: to the next level. I think we did good in
- 13:01Speaker 13: transforming him. You know? I'm just blown away. Now, if
- 13:06Speaker 13: we could only do that Fifth Avenue and Emanuel, if
- 13:10Speaker 13: we can get J.J. to share the doctor's contact information...
- 13:14Speaker 13: We might be on our way here. What do you think?
- 13:19Speaker 2: We shall see.
- 13:20Speaker 12: Maybe.
- 13:21Speaker 2: I mean, we shall see. All right, what else is
- 13:23Speaker 2: on your mind besides that?
- 13:25Speaker 13: Well, I really don't have much to say except the
- 13:26Speaker 13: gas was $ 4. 75 down in Columbiana.
- 13:29Speaker 1: No, you mean $ 3. 75, not $ 4.
- 13:32Speaker 2: 75. It's $ 4. 50 up here.
- 13:34Speaker 13: I sent you a picture. Let me see. I could
- 13:38Speaker 13: be losing my mind because that's very possible. I snapped
- 13:41Speaker 13: it when..
- 13:42Speaker 2: It can't be 370. I'm sorry, 449. Oh, okay. Well,
- 13:46Speaker 2: that's what it is up here.
- 13:47Speaker 5: 449.
- 13:47Speaker 13: And I swear to God, yesterday when I rode by,
- 13:52Speaker 13: it was only like 399. No, no, it was really
- 13:57Speaker 13: low down here.
- 13:58Speaker 1: It was like 359, 359.
- 14:02Speaker 13: It's weird because sometimes down here in the country land,
- 14:05Speaker 13: it's a lot cheaper, and then I travel up and
- 14:08Speaker 13: I go down 224, I'm out in Austin, found the sheep.
- 14:12Speaker 13: There's a big disparity in the prices between down here
- 14:15Speaker 13: and up there, which is crazy. If it's high up there,
- 14:18Speaker 13: it's low down here and vice versa. However, if you
- 14:21Speaker 13: want a good deal, go to Love's out on Market
- 14:24Speaker 13: Street because they are always, like they were $ 379 yesterday,
- 14:27Speaker 13: I think. And I'm sure that today they're probably only
- 14:30Speaker 13: around $ 4. They say hello to pulling cars. They want
- 14:34Speaker 13: you to buy all that other crap they sell. But, hey,
- 14:38Speaker 13: Iran war. I'm going to sum it up like this.
- 14:43Speaker 13: Trump's doing about as well as a one-legged man in
- 14:46Speaker 13: a kicking contest. How's that sound?
- 14:55Speaker 2: I'm still dwelling on the $ 4. 50 a gallon. Yeah, I'm
- 14:57Speaker 2: glad I got gas. I filled up.
- 15:00Speaker 13: Both cars a couple days ago.
- 15:03Speaker 1: But see, listen to what you're saying. This is how
- 15:06Speaker 1: they screw with you. You're saying, boy, I'm sure I'm
- 15:09Speaker 1: glad I got it for $ 3. 89 the other day.
- 15:11Speaker 14: Yeah, I know.
- 15:12Speaker 13: And it's like you said, this is on Trump. This
- 15:17Speaker 13: isn't on Biden. And, you know, Trump is turning in
- 15:20Speaker 13: to be a real... politician out for self-promotion, self-enrichment, and
- 15:28Speaker 13: what's the other word I want to use? He's using
- 15:31Speaker 13: the Justice Department to settle some of his legal battles,
- 15:34Speaker 13: which I knew he would, but I'll be honest. I'm
- 15:36Speaker 13: disappointed in him. I still support him. He doesn't work
- 15:40Speaker 13: with Congress. Therefore, none of his executive orders will be codified.
- 15:44Speaker 13: He does practice in government like a dictator. He just
- 15:48Speaker 13: thinks everyone should bow and bend the knee and kiss
- 15:50Speaker 13: the ring. And we just don't do that in America.
- 15:53Speaker 13: And it's unfortunate, but even though I'm disappointed in him,
- 15:58Speaker 13: I know things are much better opposed to a Democrat
- 16:01Speaker 13: being in there. And I often tell you that Democrats
- 16:03Speaker 13: are horrible at governing. I think we've had this conversation before.
- 16:07Speaker 13: They win elections, they get in office, and they just
- 16:10Speaker 13: sit on their hands. I've been saying this for years
- 16:12Speaker 13: and years and years. And I've come to accept the
- 16:15Speaker 13: fact that the only good thing that happens when a
- 16:18Speaker 13: Republican gets in office is that we slow down the
- 16:21Speaker 13: leftist agenda because they will not push. With the weak
- 16:25Speaker 13: leadership we have, they don't push forward anything at all.
- 16:29Speaker 13: So it's almost like you get nothing accomplished, but you
- 16:32Speaker 13: do get to pump the brakes on the Kamala Harris's
- 16:36Speaker 13: and AOC's and those kind of people. What do you
- 16:38Speaker 13: think about that?
- 16:41Speaker 2: What do I think about it?
- 16:42Speaker 1: You want to know what I think?
- 16:47Speaker 2: I think things are a mess. That's what I think.
- 16:50Speaker 13: I was going to say, maybe the world's just coming
- 16:52Speaker 13: to an end, Ron.
- 16:53Speaker 2: What do you think? No, it can't end yet. No,
- 16:58Speaker 2: it can't.
- 16:59Speaker 13: I'm starting to think that maybe this is the end
- 17:01Speaker 13: of time. Maybe when I leave for Europe next month,
- 17:04Speaker 13: I won't come back.
- 17:05Speaker 7: No.
- 17:06Speaker 13: Maybe if I stay over there, I'll survive a little
- 17:09Speaker 13: bit longer than you guys over here.
- 17:12Speaker 2: Listen, I sit back and just say it is a mess.
- 17:15Speaker 1: I am not going to kid you when I tell
- 17:18Speaker 1: you that I'm hoping that– you know how sometimes you
- 17:22Speaker 1: see the sign and the gas prices spike and then
- 17:25Speaker 1: the next day they're down or later that night they're down?
- 17:28Speaker 1: I'm hoping that that's the case. I'm hoping that that's
- 17:31Speaker 1: the case when I look and I see it at 450. However–
- 17:37Speaker 1: These oil expert guys that I read, there's four main ones.
- 17:41Speaker 2: There's four main ones that are there.
- 17:44Speaker 13: You're like a Ron DeSantis. You do a lot of reading.
- 17:46Speaker 1: I do a lot of reading. And I've learned more
- 17:49Speaker 1: about oil.
- 17:50Speaker 13: That's because your wife won't talk to you.
- 17:52Speaker 2: She talks to me.
- 17:53Speaker 13: I have that problem at home, too. My wife just
- 17:55Speaker 13: doesn't want to talk, so I read.
- 17:57Speaker 2: So I'm reading all this stuff, and there's four main ones.
- 18:00Speaker 1: And these are the guys that are saying that the
- 18:02Speaker 1: crap would be hitting the fan in August because we've
- 18:07Speaker 1: depleted our reserves, basically.
- 18:09Speaker 2: We're tapped out, and.
- 18:11Speaker 1: The strait still isn't open, and there's a big issue
- 18:14Speaker 1: as far as the supply of oil.
- 18:15Speaker 2: Basically, what they have said is you can't take..
- 18:18Speaker 1: 20 to 30 million barrels a day off the market
- 18:22Speaker 1: and not think you're not going to have a major problem.
- 18:25Speaker 1: And it continues to be off the market. Now, what's
- 18:28Speaker 1: the solution to this? Well, I've heard it before. We
- 18:32Speaker 1: brought them to their knees. We're going to get an agreement.
- 18:34Speaker 1: We're going to get an agreement. I've heard of that
- 18:36Speaker 1: time and time again. I'm full of shit.
- 18:38Speaker 16: Am I allowed to say that?
- 18:40Speaker 2: No, you can't. Wait a minute.
- 18:42Speaker 17: Okay.
- 18:45Speaker 2: The great news is..
- 18:48Speaker 13: I'm going to go to that doctor, JJ, and see
- 18:50Speaker 13: if he can turn me into.
- 18:52Speaker 2: Ted the Liberal. This might be amazing, folks.
- 18:56Speaker 1: Ted the Conservative might be becoming Ted the Liberal, and
- 18:59Speaker 1: JJ the Liberal might be becoming JJ the Trumpster.
- 19:02Speaker 2: I don't know what world I'm living in anymore.
- 19:04Speaker 18: That would never happen.
- 19:07Speaker 2: But here's the great news. Here's the great news.
- 19:10Speaker 1: If you listen to the program on the iHeartRadio app,
- 19:12Speaker 1: you actually hear what Ted said. If you listen on
- 19:15Speaker 1: the radio, I have to edit.
- 19:16Speaker 19: That, obviously.
- 19:17Speaker 2: But it was funny.
- 19:19Speaker 1: But, I mean, you hear all this nonsense, and it's
- 19:21Speaker 1: like we have the 60-day thing, and then that didn't
- 19:23Speaker 1: work out. Now we're back to another 60-day thing, and
- 19:26Speaker 1: I keep hearing they're on the ropes.
- 19:27Speaker 2: Listen, I hope he's right.
- 19:29Speaker 1: I hope we reach an agreement, and it's a done deal.
- 19:31Speaker 2: But I don't know when that's going to be. This
- 19:34Speaker 2: keeps dragging on.
- 19:36Speaker 13: You know that from day one I supported him in
- 19:39Speaker 13: this mission, but he is losing my support every day
- 19:43Speaker 13: because he is what I just said he is, and
- 19:47Speaker 13: I think he's just living in an alternative environment.
- 19:50Speaker 20: Universe.
- 19:50Speaker 13: You don't go to war. You don't start a war.
- 19:53Speaker 13: You tell me if I'm wrong. Has there ever been
- 19:54Speaker 13: a war in the history of our great country where
- 19:57Speaker 13: you start a war, you attack another country, and you
- 19:59Speaker 13: take a few days off? And you try to convince
- 20:03Speaker 13: the world it's going well. Well, maybe we should drop
- 20:05Speaker 13: some more bombs. And then you bomb him again. Then
- 20:08Speaker 13: you take another week or two off.
- 20:09Speaker 18: What is his malfunction?
- 20:15Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 20:15Speaker 1: This is a difficult situation that I thought we would
- 20:20Speaker 1: have learned from Vietnam, but maybe we haven't.
- 20:24Speaker 13: Ron, we're beyond a quagmire.
- 20:26Speaker 5: Oh, yeah.
- 20:27Speaker 2: Oh, yeah.
- 20:28Speaker 13: We're beyond the four-day excursion. Then he said four weeks.
- 20:31Speaker 13: I mean— I'm going to be honest. The guy is
- 20:34Speaker 13: fooling you know what. But I support him because the
- 20:37Speaker 13: alternative is worse. I, Captain, I'm in total agreement with that.
- 20:42Speaker 13: I mean, that's why I said the end of the
- 20:45Speaker 13: world is coming. When I leave for Europe, I'm not
- 20:46Speaker 13: coming back. This might be my last call.
- 20:49Speaker 1: Well, here's, I just got a, Bob sent me an
- 20:52Speaker 1: email listing on the app. He says, not sure how,
- 20:55Speaker 1: but Bob happens to be listing in Orlando, not over
- 20:58Speaker 1: there with Fort Lauderdale. Frank and Bob, you know, Can't
- 21:01Speaker 1: beat Orlando. That's Verb Manor 2.
- 21:04Speaker 13: He's in the sunshine. Him and Frank should get together.
- 21:07Speaker 13: They could share a war story.
- 21:08Speaker 2: Oh, my daughter.
- 21:09Speaker 1: It's Verb Manor 2 down there in Orlando. Not sure how,
- 21:12Speaker 1: but still 390 all over Orlando.
- 21:15Speaker 2: So there you go. If you want to get cheap gas,
- 21:17Speaker 2: you've got to drive to Florida. But maybe tomorrow it'll
- 21:21Speaker 2: come back down to four bucks.
- 21:22Speaker 4: You know what?
- 21:23Speaker 1: But maybe it'll go up to five because these oil
- 21:25Speaker 1: guys are telling me the price is going to continue
- 21:28Speaker 1: to go up because we're running out of oil.
- 21:30Speaker 2: That's what they keep saying.
- 21:31Speaker 17: I got an idea.
- 21:32Speaker 13: I saw an Amish guy this morning.
- 21:35Speaker 2: Oh, you're going to do that?
- 21:35Speaker 13: Maybe I should hit him over the head and take
- 21:37Speaker 13: the buggy.
- 21:38Speaker 2: Maybe you should just have him build you one and
- 21:40Speaker 2: then start..
- 21:42Speaker 13: Yeah, I could park the horses out front. I could
- 21:44Speaker 13: beat them, give them water, no gas. You know, they'll
- 21:47Speaker 13: leave a mess in the streets, but I don't have
- 21:48Speaker 13: to clean that up.
- 21:49Speaker 1: Folks, what has happened to Ted the Conservative? He wants
- 21:53Speaker 1: to no longer be Ted the Englishman.
- 21:55Speaker 2: He wants to be Ted the Amish guy. All right, Ted.
- 21:58Speaker 4: Hey.
- 21:59Speaker 2: Yes.
- 22:00Speaker 13: I'll call you back tomorrow if you want.
- 22:03Speaker 4: I do.
- 22:03Speaker 13: But I wanted to..
- 22:04Speaker 12: Okay.
- 22:05Speaker 2: I'll call you back tomorrow. No, no, no. What did
- 22:07Speaker 2: you want? I don't want to hang up on you.
- 22:09Speaker 5: Well..
- 22:10Speaker 13: You know, I'm just surprised at the reach of your program,
- 22:14Speaker 13: how many people. I mean, I'm truly, I keep saying
- 22:17Speaker 13: this to you over and over. One day you have
- 22:20Speaker 13: to disclose the viewership number. Because last week I made
- 22:24Speaker 13: an announcement about a gathering at the Republican headquarters for
- 22:27Speaker 13: Christine Oliver. And, you know, there are people there that said,
- 22:31Speaker 13: that wanted to meet me. They said they heard me
- 22:33Speaker 13: announce it on the Ron Verb Show, and they came
- 22:36Speaker 13: from as far as Austin, town of Borden.
- 22:38Speaker 2: Isn't that something?
- 22:40Speaker 13: Yeah, so tomorrow night, Wednesday, August 12th from 6 to 8,
- 22:44Speaker 13: there's going to be another get-together to strategize for the campaign.
- 22:51Speaker 13: Isn't that what Bush called a strategery? We're going to
- 22:54Speaker 13: do some strategery at the new Springfield Fire Station in
- 22:59Speaker 13: New Middletown from 6 to 8 with Christine Oliver tomorrow.
- 23:04Speaker 2: Well, you ask in here. Listen, I just say this
- 23:07Speaker 2: to you, and I..
- 23:10Speaker 4: You have a big neck.
- 23:12Speaker 3: Yes.
- 23:13Speaker 1: My boss sent me an email just last week. Ron, really,
- 23:18Speaker 1: really good listenership. You are number 112 plus. So there
- 23:21Speaker 1: you go.
- 23:22Speaker 2: How about that?
- 23:23Speaker 1: That's a lot of listeners. But I appreciate that because...
- 23:28Speaker 1: It means a lot to me.
- 23:29Speaker 13: I'm telling you, people showed up there at that event
- 23:32Speaker 13: for Christine Oliver, and they literally said, where's Ted? We
- 23:35Speaker 13: want to meet Ted the conservative. We heard him talking
- 23:37Speaker 13: about this event.
- 23:38Speaker 2: On the run.
- 23:40Speaker 1: But I told you, though, I told you the two
- 23:42Speaker 1: most asked about callers that I'm asked about, you would
- 23:45Speaker 1: be number three.
- 23:48Speaker 2: But number one is G2.
- 23:49Speaker 13: My guess would be G2, yeah.
- 23:50Speaker 2: And number two.
- 23:51Speaker 13: It's got to be J.J.
- 23:53Speaker 17: Yes, yes.
- 23:54Speaker 1: It's the two most people that ask me most about G2.
- 23:59Speaker 2: And then it's J.J. the liberal. And then, of course,
- 24:02Speaker 2: Ted the conservative.
- 24:03Speaker 13: Why would they want to know about Ted the conservative?
- 24:06Speaker 13: That's interesting. I find that rather interesting, intriguing.
- 24:09Speaker 19: Yes.
- 24:10Speaker 2: So when we go.
- 24:12Speaker 13: Home, maybe we should call G2 and get some information.
- 24:15Speaker 13: Get some blueprints and start building our bunker because the
- 24:18Speaker 13: world might be coming to an end. We might all
- 24:21Speaker 13: need bunkers in our homes.
- 24:25Speaker 1: What do you think, huh?
- 24:27Speaker 2: You can't afford the lumber. There you go. I love
- 24:32Speaker 2: Fifth Avenue. Thanks, buddy. I'll be back. Okay, onward we go.
- 24:43Speaker 2: 3.55 in the afternoon, and you're on the air.
- 24:47Speaker 17: I can't believe that I'm not number one or number two.
- 24:51Speaker 17: I'm shocked.
- 24:52Speaker 2: I'm sorry, I don't recognize the..
- 24:54Speaker 12: Diamond Dave.
- 24:56Speaker 2: I don't recognize that name at all.
- 24:59Speaker 17: Yeah, you do. For 25 years, Diamond Dave.
- 25:02Speaker 2: No, there's no Diamond Dave that calls this program. There
- 25:07Speaker 2: is a guy.
- 25:07Speaker 1: You sound like a guy, Bubba Ganoush. You sound like
- 25:11Speaker 1: a Bubba Ganoush guy that I know. Incidentally, speaking of which,
- 25:17Speaker 1: I did receive an email about you. And the caller
- 25:20Speaker 1: and the emailer, I thought, made an excellent point when
- 25:22Speaker 1: you were talking about Sophie Cunningham yesterday.
- 25:24Speaker 2: Okay.
- 25:25Speaker 1: And you said that... She was that you were five
- 25:29Speaker 1: foot 10 and Sophie Cunningham, according to the public news
- 25:35Speaker 1: world is five foot 12. And I said, you know
- 25:38Speaker 1: what I'm talking about?
- 25:40Speaker 19: No, no, no.
- 25:42Speaker 1: Listen, I'm, I'm reiterating your phone call because it is
- 25:45Speaker 1: pertinent to what the emailers said about you.
- 25:48Speaker 17: Okay.
- 25:49Speaker 1: So you said you like Sophie Cunningham, you're five foot
- 25:52Speaker 1: 10 and you said, and she's five foot 12.
- 25:55Speaker 2: And I said, no, that's six foot.
- 25:58Speaker 1: And then I looked it up and I said, oh, no, she's.
- 26:02Speaker 2: Six foot one.
- 26:03Speaker 1: So the person emailed me and said it would be
- 26:05Speaker 1: easier for Baba Ganoush to understand that he's five foot
- 26:09Speaker 1: ten and you should let him know that Sophie Cunningham
- 26:12Speaker 1: is five foot thirteen.
- 26:15Speaker 17: Yes, that's true.
- 26:17Speaker 2: That it would be easier for you to understand that
- 26:20Speaker 2: if I put it in that context.
- 26:23Speaker 17: Yeah, I got it. I got it wrong.
- 26:25Speaker 16: Now let me talk.
- 26:25Speaker 2: You seem on edge. You seem like you're really..
- 26:28Speaker 17: That's because I want people that are listening to understand
- 26:32Speaker 17: what's going on.
- 26:33Speaker 1: You know, yesterday, I thought I had you right on
- 26:36Speaker 1: the edge before you were going to... You know how
- 26:39Speaker 1: you do the silent crescendo and then at the end
- 26:41Speaker 1: you start getting frustrated with me? I thought I had
- 26:44Speaker 1: you right where I needed you, but the commercial started
- 26:47Speaker 1: to come on.
- 26:48Speaker 14: I know.
- 26:48Speaker 2: You cut me off, man. I was this close to you..
- 26:52Speaker 17: Crescendoing out all right guy can i i don't want
- 26:55Speaker 17: to i want to talk nicely and calmly because we're talking.
- 27:00Speaker 2: And by the way just as a.
- 27:01Speaker 1: Side note wkbn i'm not that crazy about sophie cunningham
- 27:06Speaker 1: i mean i i don't forget about her i don't
- 27:08Speaker 1: say you talk about something else what now.
- 27:10Speaker 17: I've been listening to your program here just you know
- 27:14Speaker 17: and believe me uh believe me uh You know, I
- 27:18Speaker 17: like to call in, but then when I hear somebody's call,
- 27:20Speaker 17: I get very disturbed, okay? Because of the fact nobody
- 27:25Speaker 17: has a clue and understands Trump. So I'm going to
- 27:29Speaker 17: explain this to everybody who don't understand him.
- 27:31Speaker 2: Well, I got to do the news and then I'll
- 27:33Speaker 2: come back to you. Stand by.
- 27:34Speaker 1: Bubba Ganoush is going to try to understand or explain Trump.
- 27:38Speaker 5: Money Talks Investment Coach, John Arnold Studios. This is 570
- 27:43Speaker 5: WKBN Youngstown, an iHeartRadio station.
- 27:46Speaker 2: Guaranteed human.
- 27:53Speaker 21: He's heading home with a long way to go.
- 27:55Speaker 2: Lisa Brady, Fox News.
- 27:57Speaker 21: Marine veteran Robert Gilman, released earlier today by Russia, was
- 28:02Speaker 21: held for more than four years in a Russian prison
- 28:04Speaker 21: where advocates say he was mistreated.
- 28:07Speaker 2: Physical torture, forced medication. And provocations.
- 28:12Speaker 21: Democratic Senator Ed Markey of Massachusetts, where Gilman is from,
- 28:16Speaker 21: his sister crediting Markey and President Trump with winning his release.
- 28:20Speaker 21: The president posting that he had spoken personally with President
- 28:23Speaker 21: Putin about the case and that the Russians did not
- 28:26Speaker 21: ask for anyone in return. Also posting earlier today that
- 28:29Speaker 21: he had spoken with Gilman.
- 28:31Speaker 9: The U.S.
- 28:32Speaker 21: Considered Gilman wrongfully detained on disputed charges. He'll be evaluated
- 28:36Speaker 21: and treated at a military hospital in Texas.
- 28:39Speaker 2: The U.S.
- 28:39Speaker 21: Military just confirming it fired on a Panamanian flagged ship
- 28:43Speaker 21: in the Gulf of Oman as it tried to evade
- 28:46Speaker 21: the U.S.
- 28:46Speaker 2: Blockade of Iranian ports.
- 28:48Speaker 21: Central Command says an American helicopter fired missiles into the
- 28:51Speaker 21: engine room, disabling that ship after it ignored warnings to stop.
- 28:56Speaker 2: Earlier today.
- 28:57Speaker 21: Swift boat water rescues underway in parts of Ohio, where
- 29:01Speaker 21: Governor Mike DeWine has declared an emergency in counties east
- 29:04Speaker 21: of Columbus because of flash flooding, now blamed for at
- 29:07Speaker 21: least one death. And with a continued storm threat, he's
- 29:10Speaker 21: activating the National Guard.
- 29:12Speaker 2: Flooding concerns will only get worse, we believe. So, you know,
- 29:17Speaker 2: they will be ready to be deployed.
- 29:19Speaker 21: The governor urging people to pay attention with downed trees
- 29:22Speaker 21: and power lines also a hazard. Firefighters from Mexico heading
- 29:26Speaker 21: to Western Canada to help fight a wildfire that's killed
- 29:29Speaker 21: one 80-year-old woman and forced 20,000 people to evacuate. Another
- 29:33Speaker 21: 10,000 told to be ready to leave. One official with
- 29:37Speaker 21: the British Columbia Wildfire Service says crews are working around
- 29:40Speaker 21: the clock to establish control lines. Back-to-back losses on Wall Street,
- 29:45Speaker 21: the Dow down 184 at the bell. America is listening
- 29:49Speaker 21: to Fox News.
- 29:51Speaker 9: You never know who might be taking the quiz.
- 29:55Speaker 2: Hi, I'm Neil deGrasse Tyson.
- 29:57Speaker 4: You're a personal astrophysicist.
- 29:59Speaker 6: Hey, everyone.
- 30:00Speaker 4: It's Phil Simms.
- 30:01Speaker 2: Hey, everyone.
- 30:01Speaker 4: It's Danica McKellar.
- 30:02Speaker 2: It's Candice Bushnell. I'm Jeremiah Brown.
- 30:04Speaker 4: Hey, everyone. I'm Kix Brooks.
- 30:06Speaker 14: I'm John Taffer.
- 30:07Speaker 13: I'm Jennifer Eden.
- 30:08Speaker 15: Hey, everybody.
- 30:09Speaker 4: It's Kevin Nealon.
- 30:09Speaker 2: It's Mr. Wonderful here, and it's time to take the quiz.

- 30:50Speaker 2: A to Z dependable services, plumbing, septic, heating, cooling, and
- 30:54Speaker 2: one day bath. Ron Verb on News Radio 570 WKBN.
- 30:58Speaker 2: All right, back to it. This ought to be interesting.
- 31:03Speaker 1: Bubba Ganoush thinks that he has an understanding of Trump
- 31:06Speaker 1: and we don't, so he's going to try to explain
- 31:10Speaker 1: to us with his deep insight.
- 31:13Speaker 2: Go ahead.
- 31:13Speaker 17: Okay, first of all, he's speaking at Spires. You know,
- 31:17Speaker 17: that's out of the lake area. Lake Area College? Spires?
- 31:21Speaker 17: You know where they teach running up there?
- 31:24Speaker 2: No.
- 31:25Speaker 17: Yeah, he's going to be up there. Just to let
- 31:28Speaker 17: you know. Secondly, let me get everybody to understand something.
- 31:34Speaker 17: I know the one guy says he's kicking the ball
- 31:38Speaker 17: with one leg. Let me explain something to you. He's
- 31:41Speaker 17: got three different avenues that he's hitting them. One is trade.
- 31:45Speaker 17: Two is finances with Scott Besson. And three, he's got
- 31:50Speaker 17: all our military ready to attack. Okay. Now, if you're
- 31:56Speaker 17: choking him out of $ 450 million a day in revenue,
- 32:02Speaker 17: they're starving. The, what do you call it, inflation is
- 32:08Speaker 17: like 88%. Okay. And it's not going to last. I mean,
- 32:14Speaker 17: they can't survive for long.
- 32:16Speaker 12: Okay.
- 32:17Speaker 17: Now, I heard that on the news. The other thing is,
- 32:23Speaker 17: so you've got three different avenues you're hitting. Okay, so
- 32:27Speaker 17: why would you expel any equipment or military or bombs
- 32:32Speaker 17: if you're choking them financially right now until they start screaming,
- 32:38Speaker 17: you know, surrender or whatever? You know how they say
- 32:42Speaker 17: when you have somebody down– And, you know, they surrender.
- 32:47Speaker 17: They say something, I forget. But anyhow, the point is, Ron,
- 32:51Speaker 17: is that he has three different avenues he's hitting them with. Now,
- 32:56Speaker 17: that's why he's not in a rush, okay, because the
- 32:59Speaker 17: longer this financial hole goes on him, the poorer they get, okay? Now,
- 33:07Speaker 17: he's affecting, because of that, he can't get oil to China.
- 33:10Speaker 17: He can't get oil to Russia. He can't get oil
- 33:13Speaker 17: to his proxies. And he can't get money to his proxies.
- 33:17Speaker 17: So now he's saving other areas from being hit. So
- 33:21Speaker 17: I wish people would understand his thinking, his logic. It's very,
- 33:26Speaker 17: very well done. I love this guy. See, I look
- 33:30Speaker 17: at everything. Now, my family's from that region, okay? We
- 33:34Speaker 17: are Maronite Catholic. Oh, you remember St. Mary's with the
- 33:37Speaker 17: bubble ganoush, right? And the point is that our family...
- 33:44Speaker 17: seen persecution since early 70s from Islam, okay? And by
- 33:50Speaker 17: the way, you can't make a deal with them because
- 33:53Speaker 17: if you read the Koran, they will not hold, honor
- 33:57Speaker 17: a deal unless you're, if you're an infidel. An infidel
- 34:01Speaker 17: could be a Jew or Christian, it doesn't matter. You
- 34:05Speaker 17: have to be Muslim to hold an agreement. Like if
- 34:07Speaker 17: I write an agreement between Ron and me, or you
- 34:10Speaker 17: and me, and about something, about cutting my lawn, You
- 34:14Speaker 17: don't have to honor it, because I'm not Islam. This
- 34:18Speaker 17: is how they think. Now, for, I don't know, 1,600 years,
- 34:25Speaker 17: they do everything, and they.
- 34:27Speaker 15: Will kill their people.
- 34:28Speaker 17: They will do everything to win, okay? And because they
- 34:32Speaker 17: know if they win, the imam can come down and
- 34:36Speaker 17: bless them. It's like people saying, like, God comes down.
- 34:41Speaker 14: So understand..
- 34:43Speaker 17: That what he's doing, he's choking them out. He has
- 34:46Speaker 17: to do this so that we have peace in the
- 34:48Speaker 17: Middle East. Now, these other countries got together. Three countries
- 34:53Speaker 17: got together to make a team to try to hold this.
- 34:56Speaker 17: And that's what he's trying to do. He's trying to
- 34:57Speaker 17: generate countries to come together to police these people so
- 35:01Speaker 17: we don't need our bases there. Okay? And we don't
- 35:04Speaker 17: need our people there. He doesn't want none of our
- 35:06Speaker 17: people dying. So this is the thinking, Ron. Did you
- 35:11Speaker 17: get it, or did you hang up on me?
- 35:14Speaker 2: I hung up on you.
- 35:15Speaker 17: No, you didn't.
- 35:17Speaker 15: Oh.
- 35:17Speaker 17: Did you get what I was saying?
- 35:18Speaker 2: Yeah, I listened to it. It doesn't mean I agree
- 35:21Speaker 2: with it. I listened to it.
- 35:22Speaker 5: Okay, okay.
- 35:23Speaker 17: Now, on the gas.
- 35:24Speaker 2: I mean, I can sit back and listen.
- 35:28Speaker 17: Well, let me say something on the gas.
- 35:31Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 35:32Speaker 17: These people need to show compassionate conservatism. Like Bush used
- 35:40Speaker 17: to say, compassionate, conservative. There was a book I read
- 35:43Speaker 17: about it. And these people need to... We have plenty
- 35:47Speaker 17: of light oil, like you say, sweet oil, to make
- 35:51Speaker 17: gas for our cars here. But we don't have a
- 35:55Speaker 17: lot of heavy oil, which we do get from Venezuela.
- 35:58Speaker 17: That makes diesel fuel and diesel for the truck. So
- 36:04Speaker 17: these companies need to get a grip They need to
- 36:08Speaker 17: bring the prices down because.
- 36:14Speaker 1: With all due respect, I've heard enough of this. What
- 36:17Speaker 1: you're saying isn't a reality. I mean, it's just not
- 36:21Speaker 1: a reality. First and foremost, refineries deal with heavy crude,
- 36:24Speaker 1: not light crude.
- 36:25Speaker 2: That's what the problem is. That's what they were designed for.
- 36:29Speaker 1: So it's not just like we flick a switch and
- 36:32Speaker 1: the problem is solved. So that's why we still import
- 36:36Speaker 1: oil because we need heavy crude. You get that from Canada,
- 36:40Speaker 1: you get that from Russia, and you get that from
- 36:42Speaker 1: the Middle East.
- 36:44Speaker 2: Okay, and Venezuela. But you got.
- 36:47Speaker 1: 30 million less barrels of oil because of the strait
- 36:51Speaker 1: being closed. So listen, you got a major shortfall of oil.
- 36:57Speaker 1: We've been running on depleting our reserves as China's done,
- 37:02Speaker 1: the United States has done.
- 37:04Speaker 2: So what we've done is we've been living on the reserves.
- 37:07Speaker 1: Well, as the oil guys that follow this, not me
- 37:11Speaker 1: giving an opinion or what my beliefs or thoughts are,
- 37:14Speaker 1: I don't follow it. I learn more about oil than
- 37:17Speaker 1: I ever dreamed I would ever learn between heavy crude
- 37:19Speaker 1: and sweet crude and all this kind of stuff. So
- 37:23Speaker 1: the bottom line is there's a lot of nonsense going on.
- 37:26Speaker 1: As these oil guys say, you can say, well, this
- 37:30Speaker 1: is alcohol. Well, beer is alcohol. Jack Daniels is alcohol.
- 37:36Speaker 1: But they're not all the same. It's all alcohol, but
- 37:38Speaker 1: it's different. Well, the same thing applies to oil. But
- 37:42Speaker 1: people think, well, we got all this oil, but we
- 37:44Speaker 1: don't have refineries that can refine sweet crude.
- 37:48Speaker 2: Now, knowing that shipping, jet fuel.
- 37:51Speaker 1: And diesel need heavy crude, and apparently at some of
- 37:57Speaker 1: these refineries, they mix the light crude with the heavy crude,
- 38:01Speaker 1: and somehow they make it function. I'm getting a grip
- 38:04Speaker 1: on all of this kind of stuff. So I go
- 38:07Speaker 1: by these people that know what they're talking about, and
- 38:10Speaker 1: they're the ones that are saying what you've been seeing
- 38:15Speaker 1: from an oil standpoint has been diluted by draining the reserves. Well,
- 38:20Speaker 1: you can only do so much of that before the
- 38:23Speaker 1: crap hits the fan. Now, these guys have been saying
- 38:27Speaker 1: they thought this would be happening around August, late July
- 38:31Speaker 1: and August sometimes. It depends how much more you want
- 38:35Speaker 1: to drain out of your strategic reserves.
- 38:38Speaker 2: It all depends. If you want to drain it, drain
- 38:41Speaker 2: it down even more.
- 38:43Speaker 1: So the bottom line is that's when the crap will
- 38:46Speaker 1: hit the fan. Now, they're saying, not me, you can't
- 38:49Speaker 1: take that much oil off the market on a daily basis,
- 38:53Speaker 1: and there wouldn't be ramifications in the world market for
- 38:57Speaker 1: the cost of oil, which makes gasoline. So consequently, that's
- 39:04Speaker 1: why you will see gas prices go up.
- 39:10Speaker 2: Because oil is part of the world market. We're not
- 39:12Speaker 2: pumping anything.
- 39:14Speaker 1: The oil is done by these companies that go and
- 39:17Speaker 1: drill for it. It's their oil that they put on
- 39:20Speaker 1: the world market, that they sell. But that's just the
- 39:24Speaker 1: way it is. We need oil from Canada.
- 39:27Speaker 2: We need oil from Venezuela.
- 39:29Speaker 1: You have Russia now, which is which is not putting
- 39:33Speaker 1: oil on, not sending out heavy crude. Or I forget
- 39:36Speaker 1: what moves that they've recently made to cut back on
- 39:39Speaker 1: heavy crude leaving Russia or jet fuel oil. I mean,
- 39:44Speaker 1: so what you're seeing is inflation come as a result
- 39:47Speaker 1: of it.
- 39:48Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 39:50Speaker 1: Everything you get comes on a truck. That uses diesel fuel.
- 39:54Speaker 1: Farm tractors use diesel fuel. Shipping uses a type of
- 39:58Speaker 1: diesel fuel. Jet airplanes use a different type of fuel.
- 40:03Speaker 1: And it's all costing way more. It's way more expensive.
- 40:07Speaker 1: That's why things are costing way more. And so these
- 40:10Speaker 1: guys are saying you're running out of out of oil.
- 40:13Speaker 1: So I'm not here to say I'm just here to
- 40:16Speaker 1: say Trump's in a mess. He is in a mess,
- 40:19Speaker 1: and the longer this goes on, it is going to
- 40:22Speaker 1: be a bigger mess that's going to get worse, is
- 40:25Speaker 1: what these guys are telling you that follow this stuff,
- 40:30Speaker 1: that follow oil. They say it's a mess now, and
- 40:32Speaker 1: the longer this goes on, it's going to be a
- 40:35Speaker 1: bigger mess economically with the price of gasoline, diesel, and oil.
- 40:42Speaker 1: And you don't think they're saying that for their profits?
- 40:46Speaker 2: These are guys that are oil analysts. They don't own
- 40:49Speaker 2: the oil companies.
- 40:50Speaker 1: The oil companies are going to make more money because
- 40:52Speaker 1: they're selling it at a higher cost.
- 40:55Speaker 2: What do you want them to do?
- 40:57Speaker 1: I mean, this is the reality of this decision of
- 41:01Speaker 1: the war with Iran. I mean, this isn't about I'll
- 41:05Speaker 1: say it a million damn times. You know, I got
- 41:07Speaker 1: some other goofy guy that, you know, he's just a
- 41:11Speaker 1: blind Trump supporter. He just walks with these blinders on. And,
- 41:14Speaker 1: you know, which reminds me of when people did the
- 41:17Speaker 1: same thing with Biden. And he's just ridiculous with his emails.
- 41:20Speaker 1: He doesn't deal with reality. He's like oblivious to really
- 41:25Speaker 1: what's going on because he has an opinion. But we
- 41:30Speaker 1: can all have an opinion. Like I said yesterday, I
- 41:32Speaker 1: can have an opinion on global warming. It means nothing
- 41:35Speaker 1: because in all reality, I'm not a scientist. I can't
- 41:38Speaker 1: say for certain there is or there isn't. I really
- 41:41Speaker 1: don't know. I don't go up and look at the glaciers.
- 41:44Speaker 1: I don't see them melting. I don't follow this stuff.
- 41:48Speaker 1: So we can all have opinions, but there are ones
- 41:52Speaker 1: that are more informed opinions than other ones.
- 41:55Speaker 2: So I look at what are these people saying?
- 41:57Speaker 1: What are these military people saying that say, you know
- 42:00Speaker 1: how far Iran is from the United States? Do you
- 42:03Speaker 1: know the geography of Iran and how difficult it would
- 42:06Speaker 1: ever be to put boots on the ground and what
- 42:08Speaker 1: a massacre it would be to getting supplies over there
- 42:11Speaker 1: and the problems that it would be? Do you know
- 42:14Speaker 1: that there's 93 million people over there? And I get,
- 42:19Speaker 1: you know, our oldest son did tour after tour in
- 42:22Speaker 1: the Middle East. And he said, you don't understand. They
- 42:27Speaker 1: don't think like you. It's time you wake up when
- 42:30Speaker 1: you think they want to be like you.
- 42:32Speaker 2: They don't. They don't think like you. They don't have
- 42:35Speaker 2: the same religion as you. They hate you.
- 42:38Speaker 1: And that's not going to change. So this uprising that
- 42:42Speaker 1: people are waiting for, well, it doesn't seem to be happening.
- 42:46Speaker 1: And they're in Iran saying, we can wait this out.
- 42:50Speaker 1: You want to bring us economic devastation? We'll bring it
- 42:54Speaker 1: to you. We hate you. We'll wait it out. We'll
- 42:59Speaker 1: endure the inflation in this.
- 43:00Speaker 2: And guess what?
- 43:01Speaker 1: You're going to get a taste of it, too. And
- 43:03Speaker 1: then you're going to get a taste at the midterms.
- 43:07Speaker 1: It's not like they don't have a strategy to quote
- 43:09Speaker 1: Bush as well.
- 43:11Speaker 17: Oh, yeah, they got the Democrats wrapped around their fingers.
- 43:13Speaker 2: You know, forget that.
- 43:15Speaker 1: You don't see a lot of opposition from the Democrats
- 43:18Speaker 1: on this issue either, do you? You don't see I
- 43:21Speaker 1: don't see Democrats out protesting the war in the streets.
- 43:25Speaker 2: I don't see any of that, any of that stuff
- 43:27Speaker 2: going on in the war.
- 43:29Speaker 17: They want Trump to go down.
- 43:30Speaker 1: Well, listen, when it comes to the war, it seems
- 43:34Speaker 1: to me this agenda that the Democrats and Republicans are
- 43:37Speaker 1: on the same agenda, whether that's lobbyist money or whatever,
- 43:41Speaker 1: because there's a lot of opposition. The only thing that's
- 43:44Speaker 1: going to bring Trump down is Trump. I realize that
- 43:47Speaker 1: you're this lover and I voted for him. I wouldn't
- 43:50Speaker 1: vote for Harris. I won't vote for Sherrod Brown. I
- 43:53Speaker 1: won't vote for a Democrat, but I'm not a damn cheerleader.
- 43:57Speaker 1: The only thing that's going to bring Trump down is Trump.
- 44:03Speaker 1: And if gas prices go to $ 4.
- 44:05Speaker 2: 50 or $ 5 a gallon.
- 44:06Speaker 1: Trump's going to go down in the midterms because of
- 44:09Speaker 1: a decision that he made. No, I'm explaining something to you.
- 44:14Speaker 1: You are a cheerleader. You are a cheerleader of it.
- 44:17Speaker 17: No. No, I look at the facts.
- 44:20Speaker 1: What are the facts then? What are the facts that
- 44:23Speaker 1: I just told you? What's happening with oil?
- 44:25Speaker 17: Okay, I'm talking about the facts about the three ways
- 44:27Speaker 17: he's attacking us. Now... I want to mention one other
- 44:29Speaker 17: thing about DSA. It's not a fad like an earring
- 44:35Speaker 17: or a tattoo. You know how kids get earrings and tattoos?
- 44:38Speaker 17: It's a fad. It's not a fad.
- 44:40Speaker 2: What is it?
- 44:42Speaker 12: If they bring.
- 44:43Speaker 17: Communism into this country, it'll destroy this country.
- 44:47Speaker 2: That goes without saying. That's a whole other topic.
- 44:50Speaker 14: Enough.
- 44:50Speaker 2: Thanks for your call. You're on the air. Hello.
- 44:55Speaker 7: Good afternoon, Ron.
- 44:56Speaker 19: Yes, sir.
- 44:57Speaker 7: Hey, I've been trying to figure out something for a
- 45:00Speaker 7: little while, and maybe you can help me because you're
- 45:03Speaker 7: now designating yourself an oil expert.
- 45:07Speaker 2: I'm not an oil expert. I just read them.
- 45:09Speaker 7: Do you have other experts to call in and explain things?
- 45:15Speaker 2: Tell me this.
- 45:16Speaker 7: What did it cost you per gallon.
- 45:19Speaker 8: Of gas under Obama.
- 45:22Speaker 7: When it was high?
- 45:26Speaker 2: I can't. I've been paying $ 4, $ 5, $ 3 a gallon.
- 45:34Speaker 4: So what?
- 45:35Speaker 2: What difference does that make? Was I happy about it?
- 45:38Speaker 17: Hold on.
- 45:39Speaker 7: Yes, it does make a difference. I'm trying to get
- 45:40Speaker 7: to a point.
- 45:41Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 45:43Speaker 7: Under Obama, the price of oil was over $ 100 a
- 45:47Speaker 7: barrel for over 600 days.
- 45:48Speaker 12: Under Trump..
- 45:52Speaker 7: It has been over $ 100 a barrel for about 60
- 45:54Speaker 7: days back a few months ago. Right now, oil is
- 45:55Speaker 7: at $ 83 a barrel. At $ 83 a barrel, why is
- 45:57Speaker 7: gas $ 4.
- 45:57Speaker 3: 50 a gallon?
- 45:58Speaker 14: All right.
- 45:58Speaker 7: When it wasn't that high under Obama.
- 46:00Speaker 17: Now, what is $ 83? At $ 100 a barrel.
- 46:16Speaker 1: Explain to me, when you say it's $ 83 a barrel,
- 46:20Speaker 1: what does that figure represent?
- 46:24Speaker 7: What it costs for oil to make the gas and
- 46:27Speaker 7: the diesel and all that good stuff.
- 46:29Speaker 1: No, it doesn't. That is called the futures market. Do
- 46:35Speaker 1: you understand that? It's called the futures market. And many
- 46:38Speaker 1: of these oil experts say, guess what? Good luck at
- 46:41Speaker 1: buying it for $ 83 a barrel in the futures market.
- 46:47Speaker 2: Instead of me explaining it to you, you go read them.
- 46:49Speaker 2: There are about four of them. Go read them, and.
- 46:51Speaker 1: They'll explain it. Actually put time forth. You're a guy
- 46:55Speaker 1: that wants to call me and say, I should be happy. Oh, well,
- 46:59Speaker 1: gas is whatever, $ 3. 50 a gallon or $ 4 a gallon,
- 47:03Speaker 1: and it was under Obama. I thought it sucked under Obama.
- 47:07Speaker 1: I thought it sucked under Biden. And it sucks now.
- 47:11Speaker 4: No, no, no, no.
- 47:12Speaker 15: I'm not saying you should be happy now.
- 47:14Speaker 2: No, no, you listen for a minute.
- 47:17Speaker 7: I just can't understand why it was $ 100 a barrel,
- 47:19Speaker 7: the futures, or whatever, back under Obama. and it stayed
- 47:24Speaker 7: under $ 4 a gallon for gas. Yet now it's $ 80
- 47:31Speaker 7: a barrel, and it's $ 4. 50 a gallon in Ohio. It's
- 47:35Speaker 7: cheaper than Pennsylvania. It don't make any sense to me.
- 47:39Speaker 2: Have you heard of supply and demand?
- 47:41Speaker 7: Same thing under Obama.
- 47:46Speaker 2: Okay.
- 47:46Speaker 1: Under Obama, did we have 30 million less barrels on
- 47:49Speaker 1: the market a day?
- 47:50Speaker 2: Yes or no?
- 47:51Speaker 3: No.
- 47:52Speaker 2: Was the straight open or not?
- 47:56Speaker 7: The price of oil was over $.
- 47:58Speaker 15: 100 a barrel.
- 47:58Speaker 2: Do you want me to explain it to you? You're
- 48:00Speaker 2: going to have to hang up. Let me see if
- 48:07Speaker 2: that guy hung on. Hello.
- 48:10Speaker 17: Hello, Ron.
- 48:11Speaker 15: How are you?
- 48:12Speaker 2: Good. I'm looking for a different guy. I wasn't talking
- 48:15Speaker 2: to you, I don't think.
- 48:17Speaker 8: No, I'm Keith, the car wash guy.
- 48:19Speaker 2: Okay, Keith, hang on. I'll get back to you.
- 48:22Speaker 19: So..
- 48:25Speaker 2: It's typical.
- 48:26Speaker 1: You get a guy like the last caller. And he said,
- 48:30Speaker 1: and see, these are basically Trump apologists. And I voted
- 48:36Speaker 1: for Trump. And I would vote for him over the
- 48:39Speaker 1: Democrats today. I won't vote for Sherrod Brown. I got
- 48:41Speaker 1: to say it a million times for people. But the
- 48:45Speaker 1: reality is they want to try to say, like, what
- 48:48Speaker 1: are you bitching about, man? Oil was like $ 3. 50 or
- 48:50Speaker 1: $ 4 under Obama, or was this much under Biden, or
- 48:53Speaker 1: it used to be $ 5.
- 48:54Speaker 2: Well, guess what?
- 48:57Speaker 1: We were all bitching about that price of, not oil,
- 49:00Speaker 1: I mean a gallon of gas, when it was that
- 49:02Speaker 1: price under any of those people, including probably most of
- 49:06Speaker 1: those people that we're calling were bitching about it when
- 49:09Speaker 1: it was that price under Obama or Biden. But all
- 49:14Speaker 1: of a sudden, they want to try to use that
- 49:15Speaker 1: high price under those administrations to justify a high price
- 49:19Speaker 1: under Trump.
- 49:21Speaker 2: I will not sit here.
- 49:24Speaker 1: And justify $ 4 a gallon or $ 4. 50 a gallon I
- 49:29Speaker 1: look at when Trump before the war started and it
- 49:31Speaker 1: was down to $ 2. 50 a gallon but see you're letting
- 49:37Speaker 1: politics get in the way of your brains Because you
- 49:41Speaker 1: want to try to justify something that's eating up at
- 49:44Speaker 1: your dollars and your economy. We are an oil-based economy.
- 49:50Speaker 1: One-third of the barrels of oil that come out of
- 49:52Speaker 1: the ground make products. Shingles, asphalt, they don't go into
- 49:57Speaker 1: making fuel. So the prices of all that stuff continues
- 50:02Speaker 1: to go up. Now he says, well, why was it
- 50:07Speaker 1: this and Obama and that kind of stuff? The Strait
- 50:09Speaker 1: wasn't closed under Obama. This problem didn't exist under Obama.
- 50:15Speaker 1: It didn't exist under Biden. So there's a major difference
- 50:20Speaker 1: between those 10 years as president and what Trump has done.
- 50:25Speaker 1: The Strait is closed. You have 20 to 30 million
- 50:28Speaker 1: barrels of oil off the market that aren't on it
- 50:31Speaker 1: anymore because of this Strait being closed. and Russia then
- 50:37Speaker 1: cutting back. So you have major differences in the oil
- 50:44Speaker 1: market between, from a production standpoint, between when Obama and
- 50:52Speaker 1: Biden were president and today because of a closed strait,
- 50:56Speaker 1: because of that much oil coming off the market, not
- 50:59Speaker 1: being in the pipeline. So basic supply and demand says, well,
- 51:03Speaker 1: there's an oil shortage as it's not me.
- 51:06Speaker 2: I mean, I'm just reading these guys.
- 51:08Speaker 1: There's four of them, I say, the main four that
- 51:10Speaker 1: are saying this is creating an oil shortage. Now, they're
- 51:16Speaker 1: the guys that are saying, you know, good luck at
- 51:19Speaker 1: trying to buy oil on the futures market when they say, well,
- 51:21Speaker 1: it's going to be this price. And they say, well,
- 51:23Speaker 1: good luck at buying it for that. Like when they're
- 51:26Speaker 1: talking about– and first of all, oil isn't gasoline. A
- 51:29Speaker 1: barrel of oil, you've got to make into gasoline. So
- 51:37Speaker 1: this is what they're saying is why oil prices are
- 51:42Speaker 1: going up because of the situation of the strait and
- 51:45Speaker 1: how much oil is off the markets. This is a
- 51:47Speaker 1: major problem that was created by us, by Trump, by
- 51:53Speaker 1: what he did with Iran. And it's not going away
- 51:58Speaker 1: anytime soon. And that creates prices to go up. Supply
- 52:06Speaker 1: and demand. And that's why they say it will continue
- 52:12Speaker 1: to get worse. We have been depleting our strategic oil
- 52:17Speaker 1: reserve to fill in the gap as China has done.
- 52:25Speaker 2: Now, if you want to run it dry, that's fine.
- 52:28Speaker 1: You can continue to tap into it, but they say
- 52:30Speaker 1: you reach a point where you should probably think about
- 52:33Speaker 1: not doing that because it's there for some military purposes.
- 52:37Speaker 1: But I think Trump has tapped it for 175 million
- 52:42Speaker 1: barrels of oil. People say, well, Biden tapped into it.
- 52:47Speaker 2: Well, he did, too.
- 52:51Speaker 1: But it doesn't matter. Trump is president now for almost
- 52:54Speaker 1: two years. Trump's the one that decided to go to
- 52:56Speaker 1: war with Iran. The Strait wasn't closed during any of these.
- 53:02Speaker 1: It's closed now. And that's what's creating a lot of
- 53:05Speaker 1: the problem. We don't have the ships going through there.
- 53:10Speaker 1: And you have the problem with Russia and Ukraine. Back
- 53:14Speaker 1: with more calls in a minute.
- 53:16Speaker 20: Have you heard the news?
- 53:18Speaker 4: A last chance for Iran.
- 53:19Speaker 8: Many countries wanted to give this a last chance.
- 53:22Speaker 2: This is a last chance.
- 53:23Speaker 4: Rubio on that last chance.
- 53:25Speaker 21: There's been progress made in those talks, but not finality yet.
- 53:28Speaker 4: We're hoping that will happen very shortly. There's good news.
- 53:30Speaker 4: There are ships moving through the straits.
- 53:32Speaker 23: There's oil moving right now through the straits.
- 53:34Speaker 2: Todd Blanch's nomination for AG advances. Todd Blanch is a
- 53:38Speaker 2: very good man. And election tests for socialists.
- 53:42Speaker 4: Democrat socialists. Check in often.
- 53:46Speaker 9: News Radio 570 WKVN. A tornado.
- 53:52Speaker 24: Warning has been issued for Hamilton and southwestern Butler County
- 53:55Speaker 24: until 345 with a storm near Ross moving southeast at
- 53:58Speaker 24: 45 miles per hour. A severe thunderstorm warning is also
- 54:01Speaker 24: in effect for several counties north and east of Cincinnati
- 54:04Speaker 24: with 60 mile an hour wind gusts possible through 4 p.m.
- 54:07Speaker 24: Residents should take it to a safe indoor location as
- 54:09Speaker 24: damaging winds, flying debris, and possible tornado activity threaten the area.
- 54:14Speaker 24: Farther east, a flash flood warning remains in effect until
- 54:16Speaker 24: 6-15 for parts of southern eastern Ohio after three to
- 54:19Speaker 24: four inches of rain fell. And in the meantime, state
- 54:22Speaker 24: agents are investigating a fatal officer-involved shooting in the city
- 54:26Speaker 24: of Findlay. The incident happened yesterday afternoon at a roadway
- 54:30Speaker 24: inn on Broad Avenue. Authorities say 37-year-old Holden Smith was
- 54:35Speaker 24: waving a gun around in the hotel's parking lot and
- 54:38Speaker 24: was shot by police when he raised the weapon.
- 54:41Speaker 2: I'm Brady Hopkins.

- 54:45Speaker 11: and sports radio.
- 54:47Speaker 4: Podcast 2.
- 54:48Speaker 2: Download the app.
- 54:49Speaker 4: Free never sounded so good.
- 54:51Speaker 2: A to Z.
- 54:53Speaker 4: Now, Ron Verb. On NewsRadio 570, WKBN.
- 55:00Speaker 2: All right, so let's see. Where was I there? Was
- 55:08Speaker 2: I talking to you?
- 55:09Speaker 17: Yes, you were, Ron.
- 55:11Speaker 15: I will pay for it.
- 55:12Speaker 2: No, I wasn't talking to him. Was I talking to you?
- 55:16Speaker 8: You was talking to me.
- 55:17Speaker 2: All right, go ahead, car wash guy.
- 55:19Speaker 8: Well, I have to.
- 55:21Speaker 17: Break your bubble a bit.
- 55:22Speaker 8: I am in beautiful Myrtle Beach for 10 days.
- 55:26Speaker 2: Now, what are you doing on vacation? How old are
- 55:30Speaker 2: you now?
- 55:30Speaker 20: 73.
- 55:31Speaker 14: Oh, okay.
- 55:32Speaker 2: So can you afford to be in Myrtle Beach?
- 55:36Speaker 14: To stay?
- 55:36Speaker 3: Sure.
- 55:37Speaker 8: I'm here with Violet, my youngest son, and my ex-wife.
- 55:43Speaker 1: Did you hear this, folks? I want all of you
- 55:46Speaker 1: to hear this. Okay, this is the world of the bizarre.
- 55:50Speaker 1: He's in Myrtle Beach with his son.
- 55:54Speaker 2: And his ex-wife.
- 56:00Speaker 8: Didn't get any better than that.
- 56:03Speaker 1: How'd you get along? So you're on vacation with your
- 56:06Speaker 1: son and your ex-wife?
- 56:08Speaker 8: And my granddaughter, yes.
- 56:09Speaker 3: Yes.
- 56:10Speaker 2: How's your ex-wife treating you?
- 56:12Speaker 17: Oh, great. No problem.
- 56:16Speaker 16: Really?
- 56:16Speaker 8: Yeah, she paid for it up front, and we all.
- 56:20Speaker 17: Paid her back.
- 56:22Speaker 2: So it's like one big happy family.
- 56:26Speaker 8: It is, and we've been down here also looking. Possibly
- 56:30Speaker 8: she might buy a single-family house, and we might all
- 56:34Speaker 8: move down here.
- 56:36Speaker 2: Would you all live together?
- 56:38Speaker 16: Sure.
- 56:40Speaker 2: Wow. Why Myrtle Beach?
- 56:43Speaker 8: Well, I don't know. She wants to be by the ocean.
- 56:48Speaker 2: Well, here's the rub.
- 56:50Speaker 1: I mean, that's good, but check on the insurance first,
- 56:53Speaker 1: depending on how close you get to the ocean.
- 56:55Speaker 8: Yeah, I know that. Yeah, 15, 20 minutes away, you're
- 56:59Speaker 8: pretty good. And I'll tell you, gas, I've seen anywhere
- 57:05Speaker 8: from $ 2. 99, the highest, $ 3. 54 a gallon.
- 57:08Speaker 2: How can that be the case when I'm paying $ 4. 50
- 57:11Speaker 2: up here?
- 57:12Speaker 8: I have no idea.
- 57:15Speaker 2: Yeah, that doesn't make a lick of sense to me.
- 57:17Speaker 20: No, it don't.
- 57:18Speaker 17: No, it doesn't.
- 57:20Speaker 8: And down here, they're building developments as fast as you
- 57:23Speaker 8: can blink an eye. The one realtor we talked to,
- 57:25Speaker 8: he's already sold 60 homes this year.
- 57:29Speaker 2: How much for the home? I bet it's huge.
- 57:33Speaker 8: They range. You know, we looked at one. Let me see.
- 57:37Speaker 8: I don't have the spec sheet with me. It was $ 350, 000.
- 57:40Speaker 14: Oh, that's not bad.
- 57:42Speaker 8: Side-by-side condo.
- 57:43Speaker 2: Oh, side-by-side, so it's a condo.
- 57:46Speaker 3: Right.
- 57:46Speaker 2: How many square feet, roughly?
- 57:48Speaker 8: I think it was 1,600.
- 57:50Speaker 2: That's small for how many people?
- 57:54Speaker 8: Three bedrooms.
- 57:55Speaker 2: Yeah, but those are small bedrooms.
- 57:57Speaker 8: At that 60. Two of them were pretty good size,
- 58:01Speaker 8: I have to admit. And you got to, you know,
- 58:03Speaker 8: most of it's paid for. It has a lake. The HOA,
- 58:06Speaker 8: I think it's 500 a month. That includes... Clubhouse Fitness,
- 58:13Speaker 8: all the amenities like Lazy River for little kids.
- 58:16Speaker 2: But I want you to remember this. Okay. I want
- 58:19Speaker 2: you to remember this, that HOA fee is starting.
- 58:23Speaker 1: At $ 500. That doesn't mean it couldn't go higher than that.
- 58:27Speaker 1: I mean, it's going to go higher each year. I mean,
- 58:30Speaker 1: it can easily be.
- 58:31Speaker 8: He tried to say if you go into a high-rise condo, yes,
- 58:37Speaker 8: they can... rise in price. So anyway, we're looking, she's
- 58:44Speaker 8: down here looking. So that was part of the deal.
- 58:47Speaker 8: And she was going to come down here and look.
- 58:48Speaker 2: So really. And so you might, you might move in
- 58:52Speaker 2: with your ex wife.
- 58:54Speaker 8: I would have no problem with that.
- 58:57Speaker 2: And what a really, would it be just you two
- 59:00Speaker 2: or who else would be living there?
- 59:01Speaker 8: Well, maybe Violet and my youngest son could come down
- 59:05Speaker 8: as well.
- 59:07Speaker 2: Okay, but your youngest son, who's Violet?
- 59:11Speaker 8: Violet is my youngest son's dad. That's my granddaughter, my
- 59:14Speaker 8: youngest seven-year-old.
- 59:17Speaker 2: Oh, so your son and your granddaughter.
- 59:19Speaker 8: Right, which that's his, he's the father.
- 59:22Speaker 2: Okay, so would they come down and live with you
- 59:25Speaker 2: guys too?
- 59:25Speaker 20: Yeah, mm-hmm.
- 59:29Speaker 2: In Myrtle Beach. Do you like Myrtle Beach?
- 59:32Speaker 8: Oh, I love it down here.
- 59:33Speaker 2: What do you love about it?
- 59:34Speaker 17: I don't know.
- 59:36Speaker 8: You know what? I just feel better. It's not that
- 59:39Speaker 8: I didn't feel good, but you don't have the winters,
- 59:43Speaker 8: and you've got the beach, you've got the ocean, you've
- 59:45Speaker 8: got hot tubs outside. There's just all kinds of things
- 59:49Speaker 8: to do down here.
- 59:51Speaker 1: Yeah, I get it. Like I tell people a million times,
- 59:54Speaker 1: I have two older brothers. Both of them live in Florida.
- 59:59Speaker 2: They don't live with Fort Lauderdale-Frank, but.
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: They both have been in Florida. Now, Florida is the
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: sunshine state. Sunshine makes you feel better when you have
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: sunshine more often. But my brothers all say you're more active,
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: and there's always something to do. It's a lot of activity.
- 1:00:23Speaker 2: You're more active. They love it. They absolutely love it.
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: Now, I always tell a story, you know, when my
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: daughter and many of the girls in her sorority, when
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: they got through college, they all moved to Orlando. And
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: not a one of them came back.
- 1:00:40Speaker 2: They all moved there and they all live there and
- 1:00:42Speaker 2: none of them will ever come back here. And they
- 1:00:44Speaker 2: love it. They absolutely love it. And they just love
- 1:00:51Speaker 2: the sunshine and love the... environments and just thoroughly enjoy it. Now, anywhere, though,
- 1:01:01Speaker 2: in Florida, if you get close to the beach now,
- 1:01:03Speaker 2: then you have to worry more about the hurricanes and
- 1:01:05Speaker 2: your cost of insurance. I mean, insurance can be costly.
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: But the great thing about Florida is and I wish
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: Ron DeSantis could be governor forever. His how he runs
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: the state and the tax situation is just going in
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: the right direction. I mean, it is it is so
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: first of all, how they treat their philosophy when it
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: comes to dealing with crime, you know, how they support
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: the police. They are against criminals. They're against reforming property taxes.
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: There's no income tax.
- 1:01:37Speaker 2: Right.
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: And they just got their act together in Florida. They
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: really got their act together. So I get why you're
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: saying you would want to go to Myrtle Beach.
- 1:01:48Speaker 12: Right.
- 1:01:49Speaker 8: And I checked in.
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: That's one of the fastest growing areas, right? Myrtle Beach
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: is in what, South Carolina?
- 1:01:54Speaker 15: Yes.
- 1:01:56Speaker 2: North and South Carolina are the two states. They are booming.
- 1:02:00Speaker 17: Oh, it's crazy down here.
- 1:02:03Speaker 8: Everywhere you look, they're just developing single-family homes and pondos.
- 1:02:09Speaker 8: And you see the light pulls up in flat land,
- 1:02:12Speaker 8: and that's the start of it. And they just pour
- 1:02:15Speaker 8: the concrete slabs. And the realtors down here only get 3%,
- 1:02:21Speaker 8: where I believe in Pennsylvania it's 6%. Well, I know
- 1:02:24Speaker 8: it's 6%.
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: Yeah, like you take a day like today. I love
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: today's weather. I mean, it's it's overcast. You know, it's
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: 74 degrees. But I mean, to me, this is like
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: it's it's it's really comfortable.
- 1:02:39Speaker 2: Make no mistake.
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: I love the weather in Florida, even when it's hot
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: and humid. You know, I mean, Florida is just an enjoyable,
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: wonderful place to be. But I love it here where
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: I where I'm at in Youngstown, Ohio, too, with this weather.
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: I like the change of seasons. I like spring. I
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: like summer. I like fall. And winter can be interesting. So,
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: I mean, it's not a horrible place to be.
- 1:03:04Speaker 2: But if you can have..
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: Nice weather year rounds and it's not put up with that.
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: It's probably a, definitely a positive because the growth is.
- 1:03:15Speaker 2: Really going in the Carolinas. I mean, I've been reading
- 1:03:18Speaker 2: about it. It is huge. And the property taxes are
- 1:03:21Speaker 2: fairly reasonable in those areas.
- 1:03:23Speaker 8: They are because there's four, there's over 20 million tourists
- 1:03:27Speaker 8: a year that come here.
- 1:03:28Speaker 20: Yeah.
- 1:03:30Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: And it's like, I mean, it's all interesting to me.
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: And you know what, here's what I wish. And I,
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: and I'm serious. At 73, I hope you stay in
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: good health. I mean, you're a good guy. You got
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: a good heart. You're in good health. And I hope
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: it stays that way. And I hope if you do
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: move to Myrtle Beach, and I would predict that you
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: will be happy and you'll– Enjoy the rest of your life.
- 1:04:01Speaker 2: I think you'll be very pleasant.
- 1:04:04Speaker 17: I appreciate that.
- 1:04:06Speaker 2: And I think you deserve that. I genuinely think you
- 1:04:09Speaker 2: deserve it.
- 1:04:10Speaker 8: Back home, I work maybe one day a week, which
- 1:04:14Speaker 8: that's okay for me, too. But down here, there was
- 1:04:18Speaker 8: eight car washes. That's a franchise. I stopped in one
- 1:04:21Speaker 8: of them today. He said, I'd hire you, no problem.
- 1:04:24Speaker 8: He said, you've got too many years' experience. And it
- 1:04:27Speaker 8: would be about the same as I made back there. So,
- 1:04:31Speaker 8: and it was right down within 10 minutes from where
- 1:04:34Speaker 8: Paula was looking at a condo.
- 1:04:37Speaker 15: So.
- 1:04:38Speaker 2: Well, keep me in the loop.
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: I mean, touch base with me. I mean, don't, don't
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: be a stranger. I'll be thinking, I'll be thinking about you.
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: You're a good man and I enjoy talking to.
- 1:04:47Speaker 8: You and I, I appreciate that.
- 1:04:50Speaker 12: All right.
- 1:04:50Speaker 2: Thank you for calling.
- 1:04:51Speaker 16: Keep me in the loop.
- 1:04:53Speaker 13: All right, Ron.
- 1:04:54Speaker 14: All right.
- 1:04:54Speaker 2: I'll do that. It's a good guy right there. I
- 1:04:57Speaker 2: find that interesting. You're on here.
- 1:05:01Speaker 20: You know, Trump's just too damn good. He's too easy.
- 1:05:06Speaker 20: Be glad I'm not your president.
- 1:05:10Speaker 2: Well, I am glad about that. I will say I
- 1:05:12Speaker 2: am definitely happy you're not my president.
- 1:05:16Speaker 20: I will tell you something, okay? And I'll lay it
- 1:05:19Speaker 20: right on the line. Democrats would never, ever, no matter
- 1:05:25Speaker 20: what Biden did, Biden was braindead in office. No criticisms.
- 1:05:29Speaker 20: They wouldn't criticize the guy. They stick together. That's why
- 1:05:32Speaker 20: they tend to win. But it's easy for us to
- 1:05:35Speaker 20: forget everything good Trump's done because of this war. And
- 1:05:40Speaker 20: I will tell you, I would much rather fight this
- 1:05:42Speaker 20: war with Trump than with a Kamala Harris or a
- 1:05:46Speaker 20: Barack Hussein Obama or a man, Dombie, if he moves
- 1:05:50Speaker 20: up that quick and gets into that position. I mean,
- 1:05:54Speaker 20: I really could give him. crap what the price of
- 1:05:57Speaker 20: fuel is, and I drive 1,000 miles a week. If
- 1:06:01Speaker 20: it means my grandkids can live in a world free
- 1:06:05Speaker 20: of Iran.
- 1:06:06Speaker 16: It's worth it.
- 1:06:08Speaker 20: These people have done nothing for the last 50 years
- 1:06:12Speaker 20: but threaten us, harass us, murder us, torture us.
- 1:06:16Speaker 14: I've had it.
- 1:06:18Speaker 20: If I woke up tomorrow and there wasn't one, I'd
- 1:06:22Speaker 20: be alive. I wouldn't feel bad. I would not feel bad.
- 1:06:27Speaker 20: And why do we have all this power if we're
- 1:06:30Speaker 20: not going to use it? They're trying to destroy our country.
- 1:06:34Speaker 20: They're trying to destroy our electoral process by getting the
- 1:06:38Speaker 20: Democrats back in there. And if I was Trump, I
- 1:06:41Speaker 20: wouldn't let them. They'd be a nuke. That Strait of
- 1:06:45Speaker 20: Hormuz would be glowing in the dark. And I guarantee you,
- 1:06:49Speaker 20: no other SOB would be putting landmines in that strait
- 1:06:54Speaker 20: when it's going in the dark. I don't care if
- 1:06:57Speaker 20: I killed the whole country. I really don't. Because if
- 1:07:00Speaker 20: they don't have the guts to stand up for themselves
- 1:07:03Speaker 20: and they let this crap go on, shame on them.
- 1:07:06Speaker 20: We have enough nuclear power to destroy them. No one's
- 1:07:11Speaker 20: going to challenge us. I don't care who thinks they're
- 1:07:13Speaker 20: going to challenge us.
- 1:07:14Speaker 14: No one.
- 1:07:15Speaker 20: Russia pales by comparison to us. So does China. And
- 1:07:19Speaker 20: they're not going to come after us one bit if
- 1:07:22Speaker 20: we take out Iran. I am so sick and tired.
- 1:07:25Speaker 20: of hearing Trump say, oh, they want to.
- 1:07:27Speaker 17: Make a deal.
- 1:07:28Speaker 15: They don't want to make a deal.
- 1:07:30Speaker 20: They want us to destroy them. That's what they want,
- 1:07:33Speaker 20: because that's what they're asking for, Ron. And they ask
- 1:07:36Speaker 20: for it every single day. I've absolutely had it up
- 1:07:40Speaker 20: to here. I'll pay the higher gas prices, but I
- 1:07:43Speaker 20: want something in the end. I want to see them gone.
- 1:07:47Speaker 2: Gone.
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: So what do you think about how it's going now?
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: Sounds like you're frustrated with all these..
- 1:07:53Speaker 20: I'm frustrated. Why are we screwing around with them? Think
- 1:07:58Speaker 20: about it.
- 1:07:59Speaker 7: All they have is oil.
- 1:08:00Speaker 17: Kill them.
- 1:08:02Speaker 20: We have a bomb that will eliminate them. One, two bombs,
- 1:08:05Speaker 20: the whole country stops. Just be done with it. We
- 1:08:09Speaker 20: are trying to be reasonable. We're trying to do the
- 1:08:11Speaker 20: right thing. We're trying to be Christian-like.
- 1:08:13Speaker 15: I've had enough.
- 1:08:15Speaker 13: Every time..
- 1:08:16Speaker 20: They can embarrass him or do something to embarrass him
- 1:08:20Speaker 20: or do something to make him look like a liar.
- 1:08:22Speaker 20: They do it. I'm sick of them. You know, he
- 1:08:25Speaker 20: said they're scum. Never negotiate with scum. Never make a
- 1:08:29Speaker 20: deal with scum. Because he's right about that. They are scum.
- 1:08:32Speaker 13: I'm sick of it.
- 1:08:34Speaker 20: If there wasn't one Iranian left in the world, I
- 1:08:36Speaker 20: wouldn't lose 10 seconds sleep over that. My biggest concern
- 1:08:40Speaker 20: would be the cockroaches that are left. How bad are
- 1:08:43Speaker 20: they going to be to get rid of? Because I
- 1:08:46Speaker 20: don't care about them.
- 1:08:47Speaker 17: I don't care about one of them. Not one.
- 1:08:51Speaker 20: Men, women, children, they are bred to hate us. They
- 1:08:56Speaker 20: are bred to want to see us dead. I'm sick
- 1:08:59Speaker 20: of it. And I'd rather fight this fight with Trump,
- 1:09:02Speaker 20: in charge of the military he's put together, than anybody
- 1:09:06Speaker 20: else I could think of. George Bush included, Reagan included.
- 1:09:11Speaker 20: I would rather fight this fight now and get it
- 1:09:12Speaker 20: over with. But I want to get it over with. Because,
- 1:09:14Speaker 20: you know, we could end this thing in about two
- 1:09:16Speaker 20: and a half hours. It wouldn't take very long.
- 1:09:19Speaker 15: You know, I know it's far away.
- 1:09:21Speaker 20: I know we can't get supplies there. I don't want
- 1:09:23Speaker 20: to put our guys on the ground. I don't want
- 1:09:25Speaker 20: my kids going on the ground. I wouldn't want to
- 1:09:27Speaker 20: go on the ground, to be honest with you. We
- 1:09:29Speaker 20: don't have to do it from the ground. We could
- 1:09:31Speaker 20: destroy them, wipe out the entire country.
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: We couldn't put a guy your age on the ground
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: there because we'd have to drop all kinds of porta-potties
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: for you to..
- 1:09:39Speaker 17: Oh, my God.
- 1:09:40Speaker 20: Walkers, everything else.
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: I mean, you know, that would just be ugly to
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: put a guy your age on the ground. It'd be like,
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: you know, geez, his hemorrhoids are acting up. We've got
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: to stop the march.
- 1:09:51Speaker 3: Exactly.
- 1:09:53Speaker 20: The only thing they understand is pure power. That's all
- 1:09:57Speaker 20: they understand.
- 1:09:58Speaker 16: Okay?
- 1:09:59Speaker 20: Now, unfortunately, it would be too late for them people,
- 1:10:03Speaker 20: but they can blame their leaders. Don't blame us.
- 1:10:06Speaker 17: We tried everything.
- 1:10:07Speaker 20: I mean, I just, I don't have the temperament or
- 1:10:10Speaker 20: the patience. You know, if we didn't have a nuke,
- 1:10:13Speaker 20: if we didn't have the power to wipe them off
- 1:10:15Speaker 20: the face of the earth, I wouldn't suggest it. But
- 1:10:18Speaker 20: we do. Why aren't we using it? Why are we
- 1:10:20Speaker 20: being embarrassed by these people, humiliated by these people, taunted
- 1:10:25Speaker 20: by these people? You know, they want reparations? Of all
- 1:10:30Speaker 20: the countries in the world, if anybody owes reparations, it's them.
- 1:10:34Speaker 20: The Houthis and Hezbollah and Hamas, all these creeps. Why
- 1:10:40Speaker 20: are we even dealing with these people? They are murdering scum.
- 1:10:45Speaker 20: They deserve nothing less than death. And actually, they deserve
- 1:10:49Speaker 20: horrific death. That's what they really deserve. What they did
- 1:10:52Speaker 20: to those babies in Israel and the mothers and the
- 1:10:56Speaker 20: daughters that they raped, they deserve a horrific death is
- 1:10:59Speaker 20: what they deserve. And that's exactly what we could give them,
- 1:11:03Speaker 20: and we should be giving it to them. And why
- 1:11:05Speaker 20: Trump's jeopardizing this election and raising our fuel up. I'm
- 1:11:09Speaker 20: worried more about our fuel than their lives. Let's put
- 1:11:12Speaker 20: it that way. You may think I'm a horrible person.
- 1:11:15Speaker 20: I'm just a realist.
- 1:11:17Speaker 17: Okay.
- 1:11:17Speaker 15: I'm just a realist.
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: What I thought is when I was hearing those rumble
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: strips that you fell asleep and were driving off the
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: road is what I thought.
- 1:11:25Speaker 20: Well, that's happened. I won't say that hasn't happened.
- 1:11:28Speaker 2: All right. I got to pause. Good hearing your voice, Nick.
- 1:11:31Speaker 2: I'll be right back.
- 1:11:32Speaker 15: Take care.
- 1:11:36Speaker 4: You're one stop for advertising.
- 1:11:38Speaker 2: 570 WKBN. Back to it. News Radio 570 WKBN. Ron Ferb,
- 1:11:43Speaker 2: you're on the air. Hello.
- 1:11:45Speaker 4: Afternoon, Ron.
- 1:11:47Speaker 2: Billy from Butler. Go ahead.
- 1:11:49Speaker 12: Yes.
- 1:11:50Speaker 15: Hey, I listened to your podcast yesterday, and... I had
- 1:11:54Speaker 15: to respond because you said something, then you repeated it
- 1:11:58Speaker 15: like an hour later, and that just, like, freaked me out.
- 1:12:01Speaker 15: When you said, well, I don't know if global climate
- 1:12:05Speaker 15: change is real. I don't really know.
- 1:12:07Speaker 2: I said it today. I said it today. I don't know.
- 1:12:10Speaker 2: I'm not a scientist. I can't say it is or
- 1:12:12Speaker 2: it isn't.
- 1:12:13Speaker 1: I mean, I can have an opinion, but an opinion
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: doesn't mean much if you don't really have the facts.
- 1:12:21Speaker 15: Well, right there, you almost sounded like the one lady,
- 1:12:25Speaker 15: a Supreme Court justice.
- 1:12:26Speaker 17: Well, I don't know what a woman is.
- 1:12:30Speaker 15: Listen, what determines our climate is that big ball of
- 1:12:34Speaker 15: fire in the sky. It's the oceans heating up and
- 1:12:38Speaker 15: cooling down. the El Nino effect, and that is caused
- 1:12:43Speaker 15: by the sun, which goes through cycles. The more sunspots
- 1:12:48Speaker 15: you have, that means the more activity, the more heat
- 1:12:51Speaker 15: it's throwing off. We have absolutely nothing to do with that, whatsoever, nothing.
- 1:12:59Speaker 15: This whole, you know, and you, I mean, at least
- 1:13:01Speaker 15: a couple times a week, you'll bitch about the electrical prices,
- 1:13:04Speaker 15: because Obama, you know, fighting climate change, he shut the
- 1:13:09Speaker 15: coal down, I mean, their solution to this non-problem, you know,
- 1:13:15Speaker 15: we're going to take CO2 off the market. CO2 makes
- 1:13:19Speaker 15: up less than 0.04% of the atmosphere. If you had
- 1:13:24Speaker 15: a 100,000 football seat stadium, CO2 would only take up
- 1:13:32Speaker 15: four seats. That's how little there is. And without CO2,
- 1:13:36Speaker 15: there'd be no plants, no food.
- 1:13:39Speaker 12: No life.
- 1:13:40Speaker 15: This is the most insane hoax ever. I mean, this
- 1:13:44Speaker 15: is all pure communism. This is meant to drive up
- 1:13:49Speaker 15: the cost to make things harder for us.
- 1:13:52Speaker 17: That's all.
- 1:13:52Speaker 15: You know, and the destruction. You know, I mean, where
- 1:13:55Speaker 15: Obama stands up and says, well, this is settled science.
- 1:13:58Speaker 15: There is no settled science. You constantly test. you know,
- 1:14:02Speaker 15: your theories. You know, that is just, you know, to me,
- 1:14:05Speaker 15: that is the most insane thing. And you and I, we've, well, I've,
- 1:14:09Speaker 15: in the past, tried to have this conversation, you know,
- 1:14:12Speaker 15: because 20 years ago on your show, you couldn't talk
- 1:14:15Speaker 15: about this. But, I mean, this is, to me, this
- 1:14:18Speaker 15: is just insanely stupid. Now, as far as the war..
- 1:14:21Speaker 2: Stand by. Stand by.
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: Let me do my break. I'll come back to you.
- 1:14:24Speaker 1: On News Radio 570 WKBN, another hour to go. As
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: we approach 5 o'clock, Ron Furp from the.
- 1:14:29Speaker 17: Kingdom of Mahoney.
- 1:14:29Speaker 2: In need of shredding services?
- 1:14:30Speaker 5: From the Money Talks investment coach, John Arnold Studios, this
- 1:14:35Speaker 5: is 570 WKBN Youngstown, an iHeartRadio station, guaranteed human.
- 1:14:46Speaker 21: Two hours left to vote in South Carolina. Elisa Brady,
- 1:14:49Speaker 21: Fox News. That's where Republicans are choosing a new Senate
- 1:14:53Speaker 21: nominee after the death of Lindsey Graham.
- 1:14:55Speaker 2: I want to get out.
- 1:14:56Speaker 8: I want to meet as many people as possible.
- 1:14:59Speaker 15: I really want to work hard to get to know
- 1:15:01Speaker 15: people and what they want.
- 1:15:03Speaker 21: Senator Darlene Graham appointed to finish her brother's term says
- 1:15:07Speaker 21: she'll work hard to earn votes, expecting to be in
- 1:15:09Speaker 21: a runoff two weeks from now with 10 candidates on
- 1:15:12Speaker 21: the ballot today. Five other states also voting in two
- 1:15:15Speaker 21: of the most closely watched races.
- 1:15:17Speaker 2: Have Democrats divided?
- 1:15:18Speaker 21: In Wisconsin, Francesca Hong is trying to become the first
- 1:15:22Speaker 21: Democratic Socialist governor.
- 1:15:23Speaker 17: I think our policies are ones that are the solutions
- 1:15:27Speaker 17: to look for working class people, permanent affordability, so we
- 1:15:31Speaker 17: don't come back to moments like these.
- 1:15:33Speaker 21: Hong has said she's evolved from some past positions and
- 1:15:36Speaker 21: today denied wanting to cancel Thanksgiving. The outgoing Democratic governor
- 1:15:40Speaker 21: is campaigning with County Executive David Crowley. Congressman Tom Tiffany
- 1:15:44Speaker 21: considered the frontrunner on the Republican side. And in a
- 1:15:47Speaker 21: Minnesota Senate race, Democratic Congresswoman Angie Craig is hoping to
- 1:15:51Speaker 21: top the state's Lieutenant Governor Peggy Flanagan.
- 1:15:53Speaker 23: Flanagan is the more progressive candidate with positions like.
- 1:15:56Speaker 2: Medicare for All and Abolishing ICE.
- 1:15:58Speaker 23: She served with Governor Tim Walz for nearly eight years
- 1:16:01Speaker 23: when much of the state's massive fraud was taking place.
- 1:16:03Speaker 23: Craig has tried to capitalize on those arguments by pointing
- 1:16:06Speaker 23: to her record of flipping and holding a longtime Republican
- 1:16:09Speaker 23: district accountable. and stressing that keeping this Senate seat blue
- 1:16:13Speaker 23: should be the biggest priority in this race.
- 1:16:15Speaker 21: Fox's Garrett Henning in Minneapolis, where there were anti-ICE protests
- 1:16:18Speaker 21: after two people were killed in deadly confrontations. Craig has
- 1:16:22Speaker 21: said she regrets voting for the Lake and Riley Act.
- 1:16:24Speaker 21: Pennsylvania is now suing TikTok, accusing the social media giant
- 1:16:28Speaker 21: of misleading app stores about the content teen users are
- 1:16:31Speaker 21: exposed to. The state attorney general also claiming the platform
- 1:16:34Speaker 21: is intentionally designed to be addictive. Multiple states have made
- 1:16:38Speaker 21: similar claims in lawsuits. America is listening to Fox News.

- 1:17:44Speaker 9: From the A to Z dependable certain verb on News
- 1:17:47Speaker 9: Radio 570 WKBN.
- 1:17:51Speaker 2: Back to it. News Radio 570 WKBN. Billy from Butler
- 1:17:55Speaker 2: on the war.
- 1:17:57Speaker 17: On the war.
- 1:17:57Speaker 5: OK.
- 1:17:57Speaker 15: All right. I you know what? I'm getting a little frustrated.
- 1:18:02Speaker 15: I mean, this is almost like the president. He's almost
- 1:18:06Speaker 15: like LBJ. you know with with all the bombing halts
- 1:18:10Speaker 15: you know i don't i don't go as far as
- 1:18:12Speaker 15: neck i don't think we should be using nuclear weapons
- 1:18:14Speaker 15: but i do think we should eliminate electrical grid we
- 1:18:18Speaker 15: should drop every single bridge we should certainly take out
- 1:18:22Speaker 15: that railroad where they're getting some oil out of the
- 1:18:24Speaker 15: country you know they had east to china uh... i
- 1:18:29Speaker 15: i wouldn't i would just eliminate the oil industry just
- 1:18:34Speaker 15: take it off just take off the map They don't
- 1:18:37Speaker 15: have the oil money. They can't rebuild their military. They
- 1:18:40Speaker 15: certainly can't pursue nuclear weapons. They can't pay, you know,
- 1:18:44Speaker 15: export terrorism like Hamas, you know, and the rest of them.
- 1:18:48Speaker 15: Just shut it down. I believe Trump doesn't want to
- 1:18:52Speaker 15: do this because, you know, again, he's kind of a narcissist.
- 1:18:55Speaker 15: He wants everybody to love him, including the stupid Iranians.
- 1:18:59Speaker 15: I believe that if you take out their electrical grid,
- 1:19:04Speaker 15: they can't hide in their caves. You know, they need,
- 1:19:07Speaker 15: you know, they can only run their generator so long,
- 1:19:09Speaker 15: and then, you know, they have to come to the surface.
- 1:19:12Speaker 15: And they certainly can't build any more drones if they
- 1:19:14Speaker 15: don't have any electricity. Just shut the country down. Send
- 1:19:18Speaker 15: them back 100, 150 years and forget about them. That
- 1:19:23Speaker 15: would be my solution for the war. Now, I know
- 1:19:27Speaker 15: you and others have voiced, you know, fear about the
- 1:19:30Speaker 15: upcoming midterms. I think, you know, where they've done, you know,
- 1:19:35Speaker 15: the Republicans have done, some of the states have done
- 1:19:37Speaker 15: some redistricting. They've lost the Democrats and just population shifts.
- 1:19:41Speaker 15: They have lost a lot of seats.
- 1:19:44Speaker 17: And plus, a lot of.
- 1:19:45Speaker 15: These candidates, they're electing, you know, that they're nominating to
- 1:19:49Speaker 15: represent their party.
- 1:19:51Speaker 17: They're nutballs, total nutballs.
- 1:19:53Speaker 15: And I, you know, it's, you know, you've said yourself, well,
- 1:19:57Speaker 15: I'm upset, I'm upset with Republicans, but there's no way
- 1:20:00Speaker 15: I could vote for a Democrat. Well, I don't think
- 1:20:03Speaker 15: you're the only one who thinks that way. The young, okay,
- 1:20:08Speaker 15: you know, they're just not very bright. They don't understand
- 1:20:10Speaker 15: supply and demand. They still think that, you know, they're mooches.
- 1:20:13Speaker 15: They still think they can get something for nothing. That's
- 1:20:16Speaker 15: not going to cost them. You know, it's okay to
- 1:20:18Speaker 15: let the looters take over, but socialism, communism never works.
- 1:20:25Speaker 15: You know, just for the simple reason you can't force
- 1:20:27Speaker 15: people to be altruistic.
- 1:20:29Speaker 13: But, you know, I'm optimistic.
- 1:20:31Speaker 15: You know, again, the price of gas, listen, when I
- 1:20:35Speaker 15: started driving, it was 35 cents. Back in 1967, 1968,
- 1:20:40Speaker 15: the difference today is the dollar is not worth as much.
- 1:20:46Speaker 15: We both know in the last five years it's lost
- 1:20:50Speaker 15: at least 25%, 30%.
- 1:20:50Speaker 17: Of its value.
- 1:20:51Speaker 15: It's kind of a... Gas, I know you don't want
- 1:20:56Speaker 15: to hear this, but it's kind of a bargain. You know,
- 1:20:59Speaker 15: if you look at what you're paying for your hamburger from..
- 1:21:03Speaker 2: Are you out of your mind? Now you sound like
- 1:21:05Speaker 2: a Biden supporter. Come on, give me a break. No, no, no, no.
- 1:21:11Speaker 2: I can't give you a break on that. You sound
- 1:21:12Speaker 2: like a Biden supporter.
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: When I hear conservative Republicans try to run cover for
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: $ 4 or, like I said at the Shell station, it
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: was $ 4. 50 when I was driving in, for $ 4. 50 a
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: gallon gas, and I hope it's a fluke and it'd
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: be $ 4.
- 1:21:30Speaker 2: I had people calling me, the sign said $ 4. 50, and
- 1:21:33Speaker 2: they were happy to fill up for $ 3. 90. And it's
- 1:21:36Speaker 2: like if you think.
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: That people are saying, well, this ain't so bad, you're
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: totally out of your mind. Because I go back to
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: say it was about $ 2.
- 1:21:44Speaker 2: 50 a gallon before Trump started this war.
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: Supply and demand works.
- 1:21:50Speaker 2: No, people voted it's not supply.
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: It is supply and demand in a negative fashion because
- 1:21:55Speaker 1: the straight is closed. The reality is that he created
- 1:22:01Speaker 1: a major problem. Gas prices are going up. And it
- 1:22:05Speaker 1: puts a hurt on everything. And diesel prices are even higher.
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: Whether that's the truck you're driving or whether that's the
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: farmer's machinery or that shipping fuel or jet airplane fuel,
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: all those prices have to go up because of how
- 1:22:21Speaker 1: much gas is costing. I'm not going to sit here
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: like some of these people try to say, oh, well,
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: it was high under Obama or it was high under Biden. Well,
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: we were bellyaching and bitching about it then, right? just
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: as we should be right now. But all of a sudden,
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: I'm starting to see some conservatives trying to make excuses like, oh,
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: this is okay. Well, it was higher at this point,
- 1:22:42Speaker 1: and this isn't bad, and I'm willing to pay it. No,
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: you shouldn't be. We don't have cheap energy, and we
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: need cheap energy. Electric prices have doubled. Gas and diesel
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: are off the charts. And that creates even more inflation
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: and devalues your paycheck, your savings, and your retirement even more.
- 1:23:02Speaker 2: There's nothing good about it at all.
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: Trump has created a situation that's unique to him, not
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: other presidents, because the Strait is closed and it remains closed.
- 1:23:12Speaker 1: And that's 20, 30 million barrels off the oil market
- 1:23:15Speaker 1: on a daily basis.
- 1:23:16Speaker 2: That's a huge deficit.
- 1:23:19Speaker 15: That will come back.
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: You know what? I don't necessarily know that I'll sit
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: there and say to come back. He's been talking a
- 1:23:26Speaker 1: long time. He's miscalculated this. He said they want to
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: reach an agreement. He said it time and time again.
- 1:23:32Speaker 1: They haven't reached an agreement. We did this 60-day pause.
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: It went nowhere. Then we were back at it, bombing
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: them again. And they didn't give in that time either.
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: Now they've come back with their demands saying, here's what
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: our demands are. So this could just continue to drag on.
- 1:23:51Speaker 15: Well, have a little faith there, Moriari. Nothing to negative vibes.
- 1:23:55Speaker 15: We're going to get through this.
- 1:23:57Speaker 2: I don't have as much faith as you do in this.
- 1:23:59Speaker 2: It's a mess.
- 1:24:01Speaker 14: All right.
- 1:24:01Speaker 2: Thanks. It is a mess, and it continues to be
- 1:24:05Speaker 2: a mess. You're on the air.
- 1:24:09Speaker 16: I didn't know our old buddy John Shepard passed away.
- 1:24:14Speaker 2: Our engineer? Yeah. He had passed away quite a while ago, yeah.
- 1:24:19Speaker 16: How long ago was that?
- 1:24:21Speaker 2: It's been a while.
- 1:24:23Speaker 17: No kidding.
- 1:24:24Speaker 13: Hey, I heard that.
- 1:24:24Speaker 16: You came to work today in the back of a
- 1:24:26Speaker 16: Schwebel's bread truck. Is that true?
- 1:24:29Speaker 2: Absolutely. And I smell just like..
- 1:24:33Speaker 16: I don't know how.
- 1:24:34Speaker 12: You've seen the prices.
- 1:24:35Speaker 16: You must have been looking through the cab door there.
- 1:24:38Speaker 16: But I heard that you were hiding in the back
- 1:24:39Speaker 16: where Schwebel struck some war.
- 1:24:42Speaker 2: Guess what? Here's what I discovered. Are you ready for this?
- 1:24:44Speaker 2: Here was my big discovery.
- 1:24:46Speaker 12: I'll tell you what.
- 1:24:47Speaker 16: Nowadays, I'm ready for anything the way things sound.
- 1:24:50Speaker 14: Go ahead. All right.
- 1:24:51Speaker 2: Well, I would always buy Schwebel's honey wheat bread, right? Yeah.
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: It was a staple. So then they were no longer there.
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: So now I'm at the shelf and I'm looking. And
- 1:25:03Speaker 1: I say to myself, hmm. Now I found one that
- 1:25:06Speaker 1: was comparable, but now I buy Nichols. I buy it
- 1:25:11Speaker 1: from Nichols. Listen to me, Nichols Bakery, because it's in Navarre.
- 1:25:14Speaker 1: It's somewhat local. I bought one from a bakery that's
- 1:25:21Speaker 1: owned by some big bakery in the country, and it
- 1:25:25Speaker 1: was god-awful. But the Nichols honey wheat bread was pretty good.
- 1:25:30Speaker 2: It wasn't bad.
- 1:25:32Speaker 1: It was Schwebel-like, so I share that with you. But
- 1:25:37Speaker 1: I'm going to buy Nichols bread because at least it's
- 1:25:39Speaker 1: made in Navarro, Ohio.
- 1:25:40Speaker 4: It's close.
- 1:25:41Speaker 16: Yeah, it's true. Well, they said that they had that
- 1:25:43Speaker 16: Orlando bread supposed to be baking their big box store here,
- 1:25:48Speaker 16: their private label. I don't know how true that is,
- 1:25:50Speaker 16: but I heard that's going to happen, too. I'm pleading.
- 1:25:54Speaker 2: Okay, so what do you want, troublemaker?
- 1:25:58Speaker 16: What do I want? Well, I've got a list here.
- 1:26:02Speaker 16: Lower gas prices, lower grocery prices, not such an up-and-down
- 1:26:10Speaker 16: stock market and end of a war. How does that sound?
- 1:26:13Speaker 2: Is that all?
- 1:26:14Speaker 17: That's really dreaming, isn't it?
- 1:26:20Speaker 2: Well, you're not asking for too much.
- 1:26:23Speaker 17: No, not much.
- 1:26:24Speaker 16: I've got to remember one thing, though. saying that, well,
- 1:26:28Speaker 16: you know, he's running the country like a business, and
- 1:26:31Speaker 16: I have an idea, too, about the national debt.
- 1:26:34Speaker 2: Oh, okay.
- 1:26:34Speaker 16: Talking about the president. It's something that he's very familiar with,
- 1:26:38Speaker 16: is why does he file bankruptcy for the United States
- 1:26:41Speaker 16: and get out of it like he did many times?
- 1:26:45Speaker 1: Well, if we stay on this course, believe me, we're...
- 1:26:48Speaker 1: We're in serious trouble. They're talking like if they raise
- 1:26:52Speaker 1: interest rates, do you realize what that does to the
- 1:26:54Speaker 1: federal government as we continue to see this debt increase?
- 1:26:57Speaker 16: Yeah, I do, but does he?
- 1:27:00Speaker 2: I certainly hope so.
- 1:27:02Speaker 17: Yeah, all right.
- 1:27:03Speaker 1: You don't sound like you're digging the Trump administration too much.
- 1:27:09Speaker 16: Not whatsoever.
- 1:27:09Speaker 17: Goodbye.
- 1:27:11Speaker 1: Why are you hanging up? I do the hanging up
- 1:27:16Speaker 1: around here, sir. I hang up on you. You don't
- 1:27:20Speaker 1: hang up on me.
- 1:27:20Speaker 2: You're on the air.
- 1:27:23Speaker 17: Ronnie.
- 1:27:24Speaker 2: It's the unknown caller.
- 1:27:26Speaker 25: Hey, what happened yesterday? You hung up on me or something?
- 1:27:30Speaker 2: I did not hang up on you.
- 1:27:33Speaker 25: The system. You were talking about the baby boomers, which
- 1:27:39Speaker 25: we are, Ronnie, leaving the earth. And all of a sudden,
- 1:27:43Speaker 25: I didn't know if I went or you went. Thank
- 1:27:46Speaker 25: God you're still here, right?
- 1:27:48Speaker 1: What I said yesterday was all of these people that
- 1:27:51Speaker 1: are talking about housing being expensive and the housing shortage,
- 1:27:55Speaker 1: it is not going to be an issue because you're
- 1:27:58Speaker 1: just starting to see many of the baby boomers pass away,
- 1:28:02Speaker 1: and there's going to be a lot of houses available
- 1:28:05Speaker 1: for people to buy. There will be more houses than
- 1:28:09Speaker 1: there probably will be people, and I suspect housing prices
- 1:28:12Speaker 1: will come down, and you'll be able to– get a
- 1:28:16Speaker 1: decent deal on a house.
- 1:28:18Speaker 2: It's just a matter of time.
- 1:28:21Speaker 25: Just like when you cut out, I'm like, which one
- 1:28:25Speaker 25: of us died?
- 1:28:27Speaker 2: Well, it's like, how much longer do you think you have?
- 1:28:30Speaker 14: Maybe not, not much longer, Ron.
- 1:28:35Speaker 25: So figure it out.
- 1:28:37Speaker 2: Well, okay. So you would be, at the end of
- 1:28:42Speaker 2: the baby boomer. This is not my opinion.
- 1:28:46Speaker 1: I'm just telling you, when I was reading these people
- 1:28:49Speaker 1: that were saying that the idea of a housing shortage
- 1:28:53Speaker 1: is nonsense. The problem's going to solve itself because of...
- 1:28:59Speaker 1: the passing of baby boomers that have so many homes
- 1:29:02Speaker 1: and the younger generation will be able to, 25% of
- 1:29:07Speaker 1: the homes that are inherited, they will live in. And
- 1:29:11Speaker 1: they were even saying, even if that's higher, even if
- 1:29:13Speaker 1: you go up to 50%, many of the baby boomers
- 1:29:17Speaker 1: will live in the family home or own the family home.
- 1:29:21Speaker 1: And then that means 50% of the rest of the
- 1:29:24Speaker 1: homes will be on the marketplace, which would be plenty
- 1:29:26Speaker 1: of homes for, the Gen X.
- 1:29:30Speaker 2: Or whatever they are to be able to buy at.
- 1:29:33Speaker 1: A decent price. That it'd be supply and demand will work.
- 1:29:38Speaker 1: That's what I was saying. I don't think you're going
- 1:29:41Speaker 1: to die anytime soon. I think you've got another good,
- 1:29:44Speaker 1: let me guess here. I'm going to say.
- 1:29:46Speaker 25: Well, hopefully another 45 minutes till we get off the show, Ronnie.
- 1:29:51Speaker 1: No, I think you got it. I would hope I'm
- 1:29:54Speaker 1: going to do some calculation here.
- 1:29:57Speaker 19: Uh-oh.
- 1:30:00Speaker 2: I would hope at least a good 10, if not
- 1:30:05Speaker 2: 15 years of good health for you.
- 1:30:09Speaker 25: And you're saying that because I am two months older
- 1:30:11Speaker 25: than you.
- 1:30:12Speaker 12: Okay, I get it.
- 1:30:14Speaker 2: No, I said for you. I didn't say for me.
- 1:30:17Speaker 17: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:30:19Speaker 25: Hey, you opened the show with the gas prices at
- 1:30:23Speaker 25: $ 4. 50 on South Avenue.
- 1:30:24Speaker 4: 224.
- 1:30:27Speaker 20: Yeah.
- 1:30:28Speaker 2: But wait a minute. Ted the Conservative sent me a picture.
- 1:30:31Speaker 2: I've got to bring it up.
- 1:30:34Speaker 1: In Columbiana at BP, it says Duchess BP or something.
- 1:30:40Speaker 2: It's $ 4. 49. He sent me a picture of it.
- 1:30:43Speaker 4: I've got it right here.
- 1:30:45Speaker 25: Well, I saw that on Route 14, Swiftmark, nearest Palestine,
- 1:30:53Speaker 25: was like $ 3. 59 today. The Ohio Turnpike I went past,
- 1:31:00Speaker 25: I drove, I wasn't on the Turnpike, but you could
- 1:31:03Speaker 25: see the sign. And the sign on the Turnpike, you
- 1:31:05Speaker 25: know the Turnpike prices are always higher.
- 1:31:08Speaker 12: It was only $ 4.
- 1:31:08Speaker 5: 09.
- 1:31:08Speaker 25: So I don't know. I don't know what kind of,
- 1:31:13Speaker 25: you know, they're just dealing with the rich people that
- 1:31:17Speaker 25: work in Boardman. They got good jobs in Boardman. They're
- 1:31:21Speaker 25: trying to gouge them, Ronnie.
- 1:31:23Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 1:31:23Speaker 2: Ted sent me that from, from Columbiana. I don't know what's,
- 1:31:27Speaker 2: what's going on.
- 1:31:28Speaker 1: I'm the first guy to say, I'll say it again
- 1:31:31Speaker 1: at four 50 gallon, all of a sudden people were
- 1:31:33Speaker 1: happy to be able to pull in and buy it
- 1:31:34Speaker 1: for three 90, but it's like, I hope it, it
- 1:31:39Speaker 1: goes down to whatever goes down to, at least 390 again.
- 1:31:45Speaker 1: Anytime you get over four bucks, it's a shock and
- 1:31:47Speaker 1: an eye-opening thing. But like I say, these oil analysts
- 1:31:51Speaker 1: say we got big problems with the supply of oil
- 1:31:54Speaker 1: and that gas prices will go up.
- 1:31:57Speaker 25: Well, I was listening to your show and so I
- 1:32:01Speaker 25: called in and I was wondering if it's going to
- 1:32:03Speaker 25: be Debbie Downer answering the phone. It's a pretty downer show, Ronnie.
- 1:32:09Speaker 25: You're just Complaining about everything, the gas prices, everything's going down.
- 1:32:14Speaker 25: Don't you ever look towards the positive.
- 1:32:19Speaker 16: Part of life?
- 1:32:20Speaker 2: Yes, I do. Yes, I do.
- 1:32:23Speaker 25: Like what tells you to, right?
- 1:32:25Speaker 1: No, I look at the positive. Like I'm positively happy
- 1:32:28Speaker 1: that you called me today.
- 1:32:29Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:32:31Speaker 1: But, I mean, I'm happy. And then when I'm on
- 1:32:35Speaker 1: this high, you always say the same thing to me.
- 1:32:37Speaker 4: Oh, I go to goal.
- 1:32:39Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:32:40Speaker 25: Hey, was it Ted that said his wife doesn't talk
- 1:32:44Speaker 25: to him?
- 1:32:45Speaker 1: He says he reads a lot, too, because his wife
- 1:32:47Speaker 1: doesn't talk to him. I think he was making a joke.
- 1:32:49Speaker 25: How did he do that, Ronnie? I've got to find out.
- 1:32:52Speaker 25: I've got to get my wife to stop talking.
- 1:32:56Speaker 2: Well, I'll ask him next time. Maybe he can give
- 1:32:58Speaker 2: you some pointers.
- 1:32:59Speaker 25: Yeah, well, I mean, I think a lot of your
- 1:33:02Speaker 25: listeners could use some information.
- 1:33:04Speaker 17: All right. But wait, wait, wait.
- 1:33:09Speaker 25: Ted, didn't he, he was like calling Frank names. Not really,
- 1:33:14Speaker 25: but I got a new nickname for Frank. You know,
- 1:33:17Speaker 25: you always say Joe Bag of Donuts.
- 1:33:19Speaker 16: Yes.
- 1:33:20Speaker 25: Okay, well, Frank is just Joe Bag of Dough.
- 1:33:27Speaker 2: Not bad. Not bad. All right.
- 1:33:29Speaker 17: I got to go.
- 1:33:29Speaker 2: He's always got to go. You're on the air.
- 1:33:31Speaker 5: Mr.
- 1:33:33Speaker 12: Verb.
- 1:33:35Speaker 13: Yes. How are you?
- 1:33:37Speaker 2: Fifth Avenue, I am fine. Nice to hear your voice.
- 1:33:39Speaker 12: I am, again, waiting. It's rainy outside. If it was
- 1:33:45Speaker 12: a nice day, I probably wouldn't be calling you, but
- 1:33:48Speaker 12: it's a rainy, kind of crummy day.
- 1:33:51Speaker 2: Remember that old song that was at Brook Benton? Who
- 1:33:53Speaker 2: did it? It's a rainy night in Georgia.
- 1:33:54Speaker 12: Rainy night in Georgia. Yes, you got it.
- 1:33:57Speaker 2: It should be raining all over the world.
- 1:34:01Speaker 12: I'm surprised you remember that. That's an oldie but goodie.
- 1:34:04Speaker 2: Well, I'm an oldie but goodie.
- 1:34:06Speaker 12: Well, I don't know if you're that old, though.
- 1:34:08Speaker 2: You're an oldie. You're a real oldie but goodie.
- 1:34:12Speaker 12: Some of your callers that call in, just, I get,
- 1:34:20Speaker 12: what can I say? I get my stomach churns because
- 1:34:24Speaker 12: I just don't, the minute that you say anything that
- 1:34:29Speaker 12: is anti-Trump.
- 1:34:38Speaker 2: Stand by for me. Stand by.
- 1:34:39Speaker 1: I'm going to get back to Fifth Avenue and find
- 1:34:42Speaker 1: out why his belly's churning right after this.
- 1:34:50Speaker 2: All right, I'm like a doctor. I've got to get
- 1:34:53Speaker 2: back to Fifth Avenue. Fifth Avenue?
- 1:34:55Speaker 12: I'm here.
- 1:34:56Speaker 2: All right, your stomach churns by some of the callers.
- 1:35:00Speaker 2: Explain to me.
- 1:35:00Speaker 12: A lot of your callers.
- 1:35:01Speaker 2: All right, explain, please. I'll listen.
- 1:35:03Speaker 12: Most of them are all pro-Trump. They're all... pro-trump.
- 1:35:09Speaker 2: Well, what's your analysis of what..
- 1:35:12Speaker 12: When you said the... You're talking about the gas situation
- 1:35:16Speaker 12: and the invasion of Iran that should have never happened
- 1:35:22Speaker 12: in the first place. And it was $ 2. 50 a gallon
- 1:35:24Speaker 12: before that. I mean, all that stuff that you're all
- 1:35:28Speaker 12: talking about. And they come on and they jump on
- 1:35:31Speaker 12: you Because what you're saying is absolutely 100% correct. But
- 1:35:41Speaker 12: yet they try to talk you down in that you're
- 1:35:44Speaker 12: not backing Trump and what he's doing right now.
- 1:35:48Speaker 2: Yes.
- 1:35:48Speaker 12: And that to me is America. If that is America
- 1:35:53Speaker 12: from sea to shining sea, we're in big trouble. We're
- 1:35:58Speaker 12: in big trouble. Because I don't see us surviving with people...
- 1:36:05Speaker 12: that cannot critically put together a situation and come out
- 1:36:11Speaker 12: of it with a logical solution. And if this was
- 1:36:16Speaker 12: John F. Kennedy that was sitting in that White House today,
- 1:36:21Speaker 12: if he was sitting there, in my opinion, he was
- 1:36:24Speaker 12: probably one of the best presidents in my generation. If
- 1:36:28Speaker 12: he was sitting there, I would be as adamantly against
- 1:36:33Speaker 12: his policies if he was doing what Trump is doing.
- 1:36:38Speaker 12: I would be 1,000% adamant about what he would be
- 1:36:44Speaker 12: doing in this Middle East situation, just his administration overall.
- 1:36:49Speaker 12: So don't tell me it's because it's a Republican. No,
- 1:36:53Speaker 12: it's not because it's a Republican. A lot of your callers...
- 1:36:58Speaker 12: are not informed. They don't read. There's this knee-jerk reaction.
- 1:37:06Speaker 12: They want to put down the scientists. They want to
- 1:37:08Speaker 12: say that all of the intelligent people in this country
- 1:37:14Speaker 12: are not supposed to be believed anymore. This country is
- 1:37:20Speaker 12: in deep trouble. If that's the line... that these people
- 1:37:27Speaker 12: in this country want to follow. Trump's administration, Trump is
- 1:37:32Speaker 12: there for one reason and one reason only. He's there
- 1:37:35Speaker 12: to make money, period, for himself, his family, and his companies.
- 1:37:42Speaker 12: And damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead. And that's Mr. Trump.
- 1:37:48Speaker 12: And that's what he's doing. It doesn't matter if there's
- 1:37:51Speaker 12: no checks and balances involved. It doesn't matter if there's
- 1:37:54Speaker 12: a Constitution involved. It doesn't matter that the Republicans are
- 1:37:58Speaker 12: sitting on their hands and putting up with this nonsense
- 1:38:03Speaker 12: that's coming out of this administration. How, in God's name,
- 1:38:08Speaker 12: your callers cannot see it is being... That's what makes
- 1:38:13Speaker 12: my stomach churn, because the... And a lot of these
- 1:38:18Speaker 12: people are not young people. They're older people. This guy
- 1:38:22Speaker 12: you just talked to, he was your age. And the
- 1:38:25Speaker 12: other ones, you know, they're 60s, 70s.
- 1:38:26Speaker 7: So..
- 1:38:30Speaker 12: I just say that the country is in deep trouble. Again,
- 1:38:34Speaker 12: I'm going to repeat myself. If this was Kennedy, I
- 1:38:37Speaker 12: would just be as much against him if he was
- 1:38:42Speaker 12: doing this nonsense that's going on in this country right now.
- 1:38:47Speaker 1: So basically, just to emphasize, it doesn't matter if the
- 1:38:50Speaker 1: person's a Democrat or Republican to you. It's based on
- 1:38:53Speaker 1: what they're doing, and you would be critical no matter
- 1:38:56Speaker 1: what party they're with. If a Democrat was doing the
- 1:38:59Speaker 1: same thing you say that Trump is doing right now,
- 1:39:02Speaker 1: you'd be critical.
- 1:39:05Speaker 12: Adamant.
- 1:39:06Speaker 17: Yes, I would.
- 1:39:08Speaker 12: We're very critical, just as I'm critical against Trump. Trump
- 1:39:12Speaker 12: is so far in over his head. It is pathetic.
- 1:39:19Speaker 12: He doesn't belong in that position no more than I do.
- 1:39:24Speaker 12: And I'm telling you, he's in over his head. And
- 1:39:27Speaker 12: they keep saying about Biden and his declining. Have you
- 1:39:31Speaker 12: seen pictures of Trump recently? The guy looks like he
- 1:39:34Speaker 12: can't even stand up straight. And I'm not saying this
- 1:39:37Speaker 12: because he's a freaking Republican. I'm saying it because it's
- 1:39:43Speaker 12: the truth. If you don't believe your eyes, guess what?
- 1:39:50Speaker 12: Your tongue is going to lie. Your tongue will lie.
- 1:39:54Speaker 1: Do you think people like Trump and Biden are just
- 1:39:56Speaker 1: too old to be president anymore?
- 1:39:59Speaker 12: There should have been term limits.
- 1:40:01Speaker 1: I mean, if I said to you, I think it
- 1:40:04Speaker 1: was rather obvious, Reagan in his second term was definitely
- 1:40:07Speaker 1: suffering from dementia.
- 1:40:09Speaker 12: Yeah, exactly.
- 1:40:10Speaker 4: Of course.
- 1:40:11Speaker 1: And there are many people that say, obviously, Biden had
- 1:40:13Speaker 1: big problems. And then you've got people saying, well, look,
- 1:40:15Speaker 1: Trump's falling asleep and that kind of stuff. But these
- 1:40:17Speaker 1: are all, all of them are really old guys. Hang
- 1:40:21Speaker 1: on a second. Hang on, I'll come back to him
- 1:40:23Speaker 1: and take more of your calls.
- 1:40:24Speaker 2: Ron Verb from the Kingdom of Mahoning, here tonight till 6.
- 1:40:27Speaker 2: Stay tuned.
- 1:40:32Speaker 24: A tornado warning has been issued for Hamilton and southwestern
- 1:40:35Speaker 24: Butler County until 345 with a storm near Ross moving
- 1:40:38Speaker 24: southeast at 45 mph. A severe thunderstorm warning is also
- 1:40:41Speaker 24: in effect for several counties north and east of Cincinnati
- 1:40:44Speaker 24: with 60 mph wind gusts possible through 4 p.m. Residents
- 1:40:47Speaker 24: should take it to a safe indoor location as damaging winds,
- 1:40:50Speaker 24: flying debris, and possible tornado activity threaten the area. Farther east,
- 1:40:55Speaker 24: a flash flood warning remains in effect until 6-15 for
- 1:40:57Speaker 24: parts of southern eastern Ohio after three to four inches
- 1:41:00Speaker 24: of rain fell. And in the meantime, state agents are
- 1:41:03Speaker 24: investigating a fatal officer-involved shooting in the city of Findlay.
- 1:41:07Speaker 24: The incident happened yesterday afternoon at a roadway inn on
- 1:41:11Speaker 24: Broad Avenue. Authorities say 37-year-old Holden Smith was waving a
- 1:41:16Speaker 24: gun around in the hotel's parking lot and was shot
- 1:41:19Speaker 24: by police when he raised the weapon.

- 1:41:30Speaker 4: Never sounded so good.
- 1:41:32Speaker 2: A to Z dependable services. Plumbing, septic, heating, cooling, and
- 1:41:36Speaker 2: one-day baths. Looks like you're dealing with an accident.
- 1:41:39Speaker 26: I-80 eastbound just past the I-76 I-80 split. Also, stop-and-go
- 1:41:43Speaker 26: traffic on I-80 west in Trumbull County. That's between Salt
- 1:41:47Speaker 26: Springs Road and Route 46. See something we don't? Give
- 1:41:50Speaker 26: our tip line a call.
- 1:41:53Speaker 14: 330-305-1159.
- 1:41:53Speaker 2: I'm Mike Ross from the Total Traffic Center. This report
- 1:41:56Speaker 2: is sponsored by Progressive Insurance.
- 1:41:59Speaker 9: Now, Ron Verb. On News Radio 570, WKBN. All right.
- 1:42:05Speaker 2: So I get it, Fifth Avenue. You're just..
- 1:42:10Speaker 12: It really upsets me. It really does. Why is it
- 1:42:13Speaker 12: that the Republican followers, why is it that they cannot
- 1:42:19Speaker 12: admit that there is a problem? Just as you admit
- 1:42:25Speaker 12: that there's a problem. And as soon as you do, Oh,
- 1:42:29Speaker 12: you're sounding Democrat. You're sounding like you're a liberal.
- 1:42:32Speaker 2: Well, because..
- 1:42:32Speaker 12: No, that's not the case. That's not the case. I
- 1:42:36Speaker 12: don't look at it like that. You know, it's either
- 1:42:39Speaker 12: the truth... Where were you born? Medina, right?
- 1:42:44Speaker 2: I was born on another planet.
- 1:42:46Speaker 12: Okay, I think so, too. So you're right up the
- 1:42:49Speaker 12: street from where I'm at, where I was born. You're
- 1:42:52Speaker 12: right up the street. Your upbringing was pretty much the
- 1:42:56Speaker 12: same as mine. You know, you had the same religious
- 1:43:02Speaker 12: beliefs and social beliefs. We're in the same part of
- 1:43:05Speaker 12: the country. But the point I'm trying to make is
- 1:43:10Speaker 12: when people are lying right in front of your face,
- 1:43:17Speaker 12: if you cannot realize, if you don't accept that, I
- 1:43:23Speaker 12: have no words for it. I have absolutely no words.
- 1:43:26Speaker 12: I don't know what to say. If you cannot figure
- 1:43:30Speaker 12: out that a person is lying to you, then you're
- 1:43:34Speaker 12: in trouble. We're in trouble.
- 1:43:36Speaker 1: Do you think Trump really got us into a huge
- 1:43:38Speaker 1: mess in Iran?
- 1:43:41Speaker 12: This is the biggest mistake of his 10 years that
- 1:43:45Speaker 12: he's been around. Well, besides COVID. He screwed up COVID
- 1:43:48Speaker 12: real good, too. But yes, without a doubt, that should
- 1:43:52Speaker 12: have never happened. Obama, oh God forsake, I said the word. Obama...
- 1:43:58Speaker 12: He had everything in place to keep Iran under control
- 1:44:04Speaker 12: as far as an atomic bomb was concerned. And our
- 1:44:07Speaker 12: gas was $ 2, $ 2.
- 1:44:08Speaker 16: 50, $ 2.
- 1:44:08Speaker 13: 25, $ 1.
- 1:44:09Speaker 5: 95.
- 1:44:09Speaker 12: Things were going along, but we had, and now... Trump
- 1:44:17Speaker 12: wants to initiate practically the same thing that Obama already
- 1:44:21Speaker 12: had in place. And in the meantime, we bomb them
- 1:44:25Speaker 12: over there. We bomb a school. They kill 140 kids.
- 1:44:29Speaker 12: We bomb this. We bomb that. None of this is necessary. Plus,
- 1:44:35Speaker 12: we've lost American soldiers. None of this was necessary. None
- 1:44:40Speaker 12: of it. None of it. That street would be open today.
- 1:44:44Speaker 12: We'd probably have... 250 gas, and we'd move on from
- 1:44:49Speaker 12: there and try to solve some of the world's problems.
- 1:44:54Speaker 12: But yes, that was a total mistake. And for that alone,
- 1:44:59Speaker 12: that alone, he should be impeached. Because did he even
- 1:45:02Speaker 12: ask Congress's permission?
- 1:45:05Speaker 15: No.
- 1:45:07Speaker 12: Where did he get the funding for it? Did he
- 1:45:08Speaker 12: ask Congress for the money? No. Where's our checks and
- 1:45:13Speaker 12: balances on this administration? This isn't my world anymore, Mr. Virp.
- 1:45:19Speaker 12: It's not my world. And it's a world that, and
- 1:45:24Speaker 12: I know your callers are going to call, yeah, well,
- 1:45:26Speaker 12: you're at the end of your world, but this isn't
- 1:45:30Speaker 12: the new wave. If this is the new wave, your
- 1:45:33Speaker 12: kids and your grandkids are going to suffer. How much
- 1:45:38Speaker 12: has he added to the national debt? Two trillion? I
- 1:45:42Speaker 12: don't know. Three trillion? because of his taxing situation, he's
- 1:45:47Speaker 12: added to the national debt. I mean, I could go
- 1:45:49Speaker 12: on and on and on. You had a caller that
- 1:45:51Speaker 12: called in, three or four calls back, talked about the
- 1:45:55Speaker 12: end of the world and all that. Well, don't... Just recently,
- 1:46:00Speaker 12: Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, and... There's one more. Pakistan, Saudi Arabia,
- 1:46:08Speaker 12: and they... Oh, Turkey. They formed a... packed over there
- 1:46:16Speaker 12: that if one is bombed or attacked that's attacking all
- 1:46:22Speaker 12: three of them so all three would get involved this
- 1:46:27Speaker 12: is the beginning and one of those countries they have
- 1:46:31Speaker 12: access to the atomic bomb right now and I think
- 1:46:35Speaker 12: that's Palestine not Palestine Pakistan I think Pakistan has the
- 1:46:42Speaker 12: atomic bomb right now So if one of those countries
- 1:46:46Speaker 12: is attacked, that's like when we were in World War II.
- 1:46:52Speaker 12: We had the Allies and the Axis and all that.
- 1:46:55Speaker 12: If one of those countries is attacked and the other
- 1:46:58Speaker 12: one uses the attack, you better pay attention to what's
- 1:47:02Speaker 12: going on over there because it's truly becoming a powder
- 1:47:08Speaker 12: keg that may swirl out of control and it's going
- 1:47:13Speaker 12: to be It's going to be disastrous. I hope not.
- 1:47:17Speaker 12: I hope people come to their senses. I don't know. Again,
- 1:47:22Speaker 12: this is not my world anymore. This isn't what I
- 1:47:26Speaker 12: grew up with.
- 1:47:27Speaker 2: Before I move along, what's for dinner?
- 1:47:29Speaker 12: What's for dinner? I made a pizza. But this wasn't
- 1:47:37Speaker 12: of my doing. So I added something to it, you know,
- 1:47:40Speaker 12: a little bit here and there. But I had a
- 1:47:41Speaker 12: pizza that I pulled out of the freezer. And that's
- 1:47:45Speaker 12: what we had. I put more cheese on it. I
- 1:47:47Speaker 12: had some homemade sauce that I put on top. When
- 1:47:49Speaker 12: I put peppers on it, I cut up some pepperoni
- 1:47:52Speaker 12: and blah, blah, blah.
- 1:47:53Speaker 2: So this was like a store-bought pizza, but you added
- 1:47:56Speaker 2: to it. Exactly.
- 1:47:57Speaker 12: Gotcha. And if you would, and you keep talking about
- 1:48:02Speaker 12: this Ohio, what is your electric bill?
- 1:48:05Speaker 2: Yes.
- 1:48:08Speaker 12: I want to go back to, I have it right
- 1:48:10Speaker 12: in front of me. My 2022 bill. July 25th, 2022
- 1:48:12Speaker 12: was $ 94. 67. My August 3rd, 2026 bill was $ 136.
- 1:48:16Speaker 13: 28.
- 1:48:16Speaker 12: Now, that's probably because that was during a hot month
- 1:48:19Speaker 12: and that air conditioning ran day and night. But so far,
- 1:48:40Speaker 12: that's the highest bill. And I can take you back
- 1:48:42Speaker 12: four years with other bills, and you're off by $ 20
- 1:48:46Speaker 12: or $ 30. I don't know where you're coming up with
- 1:48:51Speaker 12: this electric bill that's doubling and tripling in your home.
- 1:48:56Speaker 12: You've got me confused here. You cook with electric?
- 1:49:03Speaker 2: Yes, she has an electric stove. That is true.
- 1:49:06Speaker 12: There's a big one right there. How is your home... Air-conditioned.
- 1:49:10Speaker 4: Gas?
- 1:49:12Speaker 2: Oh, heated?
- 1:49:13Speaker 12: No, that's electric.
- 1:49:14Speaker 2: No, no, no.
- 1:49:16Speaker 1: The stove is electric, the dryer's gas, and obviously there's air-conditioning.
- 1:49:22Speaker 1: But it's all air-conditioning. We cool to 72. I have
- 1:49:28Speaker 1: a couple of what they call roof-vent fans that run
- 1:49:31Speaker 1: to keep the..
- 1:49:33Speaker 12: You have about 3,600 square footer, 4,500 square footer. Can
- 1:49:39Speaker 12: I ask what your square footage is?
- 1:49:41Speaker 17: 2,400.
- 1:49:42Speaker 12: You're about 300 more than mine. I'm about 20, 21. Right. Okay.
- 1:49:51Speaker 2: And insulated well and all that kind of stuff, but it's... Okay.
- 1:49:55Speaker 12: For the life of me.
- 1:49:58Speaker 20: I don't know.
- 1:49:58Speaker 12: Maybe you should start eating out more instead of cooking
- 1:50:01Speaker 12: at home.
- 1:50:02Speaker 2: All right.
- 1:50:03Speaker 9: I don't know.
- 1:50:04Speaker 12: I can't figure out why you feel so high.
- 1:50:06Speaker 1: Maybe you should start dropping stuff over so that we
- 1:50:09Speaker 1: don't have to cook and I can just take it home.
- 1:50:11Speaker 12: Do you have parties every weekend?
- 1:50:14Speaker 15: Oh, yeah.
- 1:50:15Speaker 2: It's kind of a constant party.
- 1:50:17Speaker 12: Do you have other people living there that you're not
- 1:50:19Speaker 12: aware of?
- 1:50:20Speaker 14: Yes.
- 1:50:21Speaker 1: I have some illegals living there, and it's like a
- 1:50:23Speaker 1: fraternity house with parties on the weekend.
- 1:50:27Speaker 2: All right. Have a good night, my friends. Good hearing
- 1:50:30Speaker 2: your voice.
- 1:50:30Speaker 4: All right.
- 1:50:31Speaker 2: You're on the air.
- 1:50:34Speaker 14: So what you're saying is..
- 1:50:36Speaker 1: I'm glad you called. The guru of Gerard. Michael, he
- 1:50:41Speaker 1: sent me, folks... You have officially become like... Did you
- 1:50:46Speaker 1: buy this e-bike, e-trike?
- 1:50:49Speaker 14: I am right now evaluating between those two to decide.
- 1:50:53Speaker 14: I think I'm going to go with electric and get
- 1:50:56Speaker 14: the extra battery. And... and run one of those cool,
- 1:50:59Speaker 14: you know, flags on top. So what you're saying is
- 1:51:04Speaker 14: you think if I ride this that no longer attractive
- 1:51:07Speaker 14: young women are going to want to get with me?
- 1:51:09Speaker 2: Oh, there's no question in my mind about that. That
- 1:51:12Speaker 2: goes without saying.
- 1:51:13Speaker 1: This is an electric e-bike that's a trike. And, yeah,
- 1:51:20Speaker 1: there is no question that if you're on this, your
- 1:51:23Speaker 1: wife might even divorce you if you start riding this.
- 1:51:26Speaker 14: I offered to buy her one. She said, no way,
- 1:51:29Speaker 14: but I will ride with you on my regular bike.
- 1:51:33Speaker 2: Oh, my God, yeah.
- 1:51:34Speaker 14: She can do it, too. I mean, she runs like
- 1:51:36Speaker 14: half a marathon.
- 1:51:37Speaker 2: Right, right. And you're going to put the orange flag
- 1:51:42Speaker 2: on it, too.
- 1:51:43Speaker 4: Oh, yeah.
- 1:51:45Speaker 14: And the big oversized seat with the back on it
- 1:51:48Speaker 14: and the lights.
- 1:51:52Speaker 2: Now, what does this cost? What's the price.
- 1:51:57Speaker 14: Tag?
- 1:51:58Speaker 16: $ 1, 700, I think.
- 1:51:59Speaker 14: If I get the extra battery, I think it's an
- 1:52:01Speaker 14: extra $ 400 or something. But I'm not going to do
- 1:52:03Speaker 14: it all at once. We'll get 70 miles on a charge.
- 1:52:06Speaker 2: Where are you planning on taking it?
- 1:52:12Speaker 18: Well, so you said, you know, like, jib-jabs or my
- 1:52:16Speaker 18: grandniece and nephew's sports games, to go visit my dad,
- 1:52:20Speaker 18: to go up the streets of Giant Eagle, maybe around
- 1:52:24Speaker 18: Dollar General.
- 1:52:25Speaker 2: Now, would you be riding it on the road or
- 1:52:29Speaker 2: on the sidewalk?
- 1:52:31Speaker 14: Oh, I mean, you could do either, but, you know,
- 1:52:34Speaker 14: the road, but I'm not going to really, like, focus
- 1:52:36Speaker 14: on busy roads, you know? Even if I take it, like,
- 1:52:38Speaker 14: to YSU, for example, I was just looking at the map.
- 1:52:41Speaker 14: Do you realize I can get from Girard to YSU
- 1:52:43Speaker 14: without really, like, going on.
- 1:52:44Speaker 17: Any busy roads?
- 1:52:45Speaker 2: Where would you park it that it wouldn't get stolen?
- 1:52:49Speaker 14: No, you can't steal it. It's, like, got a key and,
- 1:52:51Speaker 14: you know.
- 1:52:53Speaker 2: You've got to lock it.
- 1:52:54Speaker 14: You could lock it.
- 1:52:55Speaker 2: You've got to lock it.
- 1:52:57Speaker 1: You've got to lock it down. Don't think it can't
- 1:52:59Speaker 1: be stolen because you've got a key. I mean, if
- 1:53:03Speaker 1: you don't chain that thing down, that would be gone.
- 1:53:04Speaker 4: Well, I'll bring a couple locks.
- 1:53:06Speaker 12: Okay.
- 1:53:06Speaker 14: You know, I'll get a couple locks and lock it. Like,
- 1:53:10Speaker 14: they've got a parking garage. You know, park it right
- 1:53:12Speaker 14: in front of the camera. It's a parking garage.
- 1:53:13Speaker 6: I don't know.
- 1:53:15Speaker 14: I mean, I'm only going to do it a few
- 1:53:16Speaker 14: days because once it gets cold, I'm going to do
- 1:53:18Speaker 14: it a mile. I'm just thinking, you know, ever since
- 1:53:21Speaker 14: I got my zero-turn battery-powered mower, it's like changed my
- 1:53:25Speaker 14: whole way of thinking.
- 1:53:27Speaker 2: Like, I'm bored.
- 1:53:27Speaker 14: I don't worry about going to get gas anymore. I just,
- 1:53:29Speaker 14: you know, charge it up and, hey, I.
- 1:53:31Speaker 2: Got a car.
- 1:53:32Speaker 14: You know, and I like that. And I just want
- 1:53:35Speaker 14: something like that, you know, to have around.
- 1:53:38Speaker 12: Like, if I.
- 1:53:38Speaker 14: Just want to go to my dad, I don't want
- 1:53:41Speaker 14: to think about going to buy gas or anything. It's just,
- 1:53:44Speaker 14: you know. Hop on it and go, and it's got
- 1:53:47Speaker 14: the two baskets on it, you know?
- 1:53:49Speaker 2: I know. I'm looking at the picture you sent me.
- 1:53:51Speaker 2: I mean, I'm looking at it.
- 1:53:52Speaker 4: I want to be functional.
- 1:53:54Speaker 14: If I'm going to look like an old geek, I
- 1:53:55Speaker 14: want to really, you know, be functional.
- 1:53:58Speaker 1: Do you think if you buy that bike and you
- 1:54:01Speaker 1: put that orange flag on it, okay, do you think
- 1:54:05Speaker 1: your wife will ever have sex with you again?
- 1:54:07Speaker 20: Sure.
- 1:54:10Speaker 12: Sure.
- 1:54:12Speaker 2: You had to think about it. You paused.
- 1:54:16Speaker 1: Do you think that she would ever say as you're
- 1:54:18Speaker 1: riding down the sidewalk, that's my guy?
- 1:54:20Speaker 18: That's not the kind of girl she is.
- 1:54:28Speaker 14: She never cared that I had the old car. In fact,
- 1:54:31Speaker 14: when I met her, I was going through a phase
- 1:54:33Speaker 14: where I just didn't have it. I had a pretty
- 1:54:37Speaker 14: older car, and she didn't care.
- 1:54:38Speaker 2: Yeah, but you were performing. You were singing, and she
- 1:54:41Speaker 2: was attracted to the band. Let's put it that way.
- 1:54:44Speaker 14: The Smoker Joker. That was me, man.
- 1:54:46Speaker 4: Right.
- 1:54:47Speaker 2: Hey, incidentally, you sent me a good article yesterday.
- 1:54:51Speaker 1: Reiterate what you sent me about that guy that was
- 1:54:54Speaker 1: calling about fracking in Marietta coming to the surface.
- 1:54:59Speaker 14: Oh, this is scary, man.
- 1:55:02Speaker 27: Yeah, I remember what was happening here when they were
- 1:55:04Speaker 27: injecting well water into that we got from Pennsylvania into
- 1:55:10Speaker 27: the ground here because PA outlawed it and we didn't.
- 1:55:16Speaker 14: And they put it, I mean, ideally what they were
- 1:55:18Speaker 14: saying is, hey, geology is a bunch of layers on
- 1:55:23Speaker 14: top of each other, right?
- 1:55:25Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:55:25Speaker 14: And certain layers are harder than each other. And as
- 1:55:27Speaker 14: time goes by, you know, there's a time span that
- 1:55:30Speaker 14: makes that layer.
- 1:55:30Speaker 17: Okay.
- 1:55:31Speaker 15: Okay.
- 1:55:32Speaker 14: So they were, I'm not sure of the exact location.
- 1:55:36Speaker 14: It was in the Berea layer where the Marietta was.
- 1:55:45Speaker 14: But here, we were putting it down 9,000, 7,000 feet
- 1:55:49Speaker 14: to a place called the Mount Simon Formation.
- 1:55:52Speaker 13: And so they.
- 1:55:53Speaker 14: Drill down, and they make these wells, and then they
- 1:55:56Speaker 14: go sideways.
- 1:55:58Speaker 2: Injection wells.
- 1:55:59Speaker 14: The hydraulic fracture.
- 1:56:01Speaker 2: Right, right, right, where they shoot the water in it.
- 1:56:04Speaker 2: And they shoot water, and then.
- 1:56:07Speaker 14: It comes back up with the oil and everything, right?
- 1:56:10Speaker 14: It comes back up first before the oil starts coming out.
- 1:56:13Speaker 14: And then they take that, and that's injection water, and
- 1:56:15Speaker 14: they say, hey, let's put this instead of, they used
- 1:56:17Speaker 14: to put it in ponds in Ohio. And that would
- 1:56:20Speaker 14: just leach into all the wells and everything. And it's radioactive.
- 1:56:24Speaker 14: I forgot to mention, because it's down that far, it's
- 1:56:26Speaker 14: often radioactive material. So it's not like it's not just
- 1:56:30Speaker 14: going to clean itself up. You know, it takes a
- 1:56:32Speaker 14: long time.
- 1:56:32Speaker 6: Right.
- 1:56:33Speaker 17: So, all right.
- 1:56:35Speaker 14: So these injection wells, they said, all right, you can
- 1:56:37Speaker 14: go and put it in these old injection wells that
- 1:56:39Speaker 14: we used to put. We got oil out of that
- 1:56:43Speaker 14: was higher. It wasn't 7,000 feet. It was like 4,000 feet.
- 1:56:47Speaker 14: But they were all empty because we took all the
- 1:56:49Speaker 14: natural gas and oil out of there. So we'll put
- 1:56:52Speaker 14: that water back in there.
- 1:56:54Speaker 13: Well, it turned out that.
- 1:56:56Speaker 14: Didn't work so well because it wasn't deep enough and
- 1:56:59Speaker 14: it was going into the water table. So they said,
- 1:57:00Speaker 14: all right, well, why don't we put it into the
- 1:57:02Speaker 14: same level? that we're putting it into when we get
- 1:57:07Speaker 14: the well out on these injections, like 9,000 to 7,000
- 1:57:10Speaker 14: feet down.
- 1:57:11Speaker 4: Right.
- 1:57:12Speaker 2: They drilled these wells.
- 1:57:14Speaker 1: And remember, the controversy was you're taking the water and
- 1:57:16Speaker 1: you're taking it out of the water cycle.
- 1:57:19Speaker 4: Oh, that's for sure, too.
- 1:57:20Speaker 1: It no longer exists because water is– you only have
- 1:57:24Speaker 1: so much. And you're taking it out of the water
- 1:57:26Speaker 1: cycle and you're injecting it in the ground, and that's
- 1:57:30Speaker 1: the end of it.
- 1:57:31Speaker 2: So that's what they did.
- 1:57:33Speaker 1: In Marietta, and now they thought the problem's solved, it's
- 1:57:36Speaker 1: in the injection well. Remember around here we had earthquakes
- 1:57:39Speaker 1: with it and that kind of stuff.
- 1:57:41Speaker 27: Well, there's one piece you're missing, though, Ron, on the
- 1:57:43Speaker 27: injection well.
- 1:57:44Speaker 14: They made them cap it with, like, many thousand feet
- 1:57:48Speaker 14: of cement to keep it down at that layer so
- 1:57:51Speaker 14: they didn't come up layers and get into the water table.
- 1:57:55Speaker 14: And that's what's happening in Marietta. It's coming through. It
- 1:57:58Speaker 14: found another way out And, you know, an earthquake or
- 1:58:01Speaker 14: something can happen, anything that cracks, make the crack in
- 1:58:04Speaker 14: the ground, and you've got this stuff in it, you know,
- 1:58:06Speaker 14: it's going to come out. And it's going to come out,
- 1:58:09Speaker 14: because the only other... alternative, the one thing we said
- 1:58:11Speaker 14: out of the water table, I'll only correct you on
- 1:58:13Speaker 14: one thing. When you get down so far into the earth,
- 1:58:17Speaker 14: this liquid that's in there, they expect and have proven
- 1:58:20Speaker 14: in some ways that that water flows within the earth, too.
- 1:58:24Speaker 14: And that comes out, but it often comes out so
- 1:58:26Speaker 14: far down that it comes out into the oceans.
- 1:58:29Speaker 1: So the bottom line is that this water was never
- 1:58:33Speaker 1: supposed to surface because they capped it with concrete in
- 1:58:36Speaker 1: these injection wells, and somehow it's leaching back up to
- 1:58:39Speaker 1: the surface, right?
- 1:58:41Speaker 14: Yep, that's what I was reading. I didn't even hear
- 1:58:44Speaker 14: about that until you said it yesterday, too, so thanks
- 1:58:46Speaker 14: for getting me up to speed.
- 1:58:48Speaker 1: Well, I didn't hear about it until that guy called
- 1:58:51Speaker 1: about it yesterday, and then you sent me that article
- 1:58:53Speaker 1: in Son of a Gun. There it is in Marietta
- 1:58:55Speaker 1: where they're saying they put the wastewater from fracking into
- 1:59:00Speaker 1: these injection wells, and now they've got a problem because
- 1:59:04Speaker 1: it isn't supposed to resurface, and it is.
- 1:59:07Speaker 2: We'll have to talk more about it.
- 1:59:08Speaker 14: This is really scary.
- 1:59:10Speaker 2: It's of concern. It's of concern because of.
- 1:59:13Speaker 14: Well, because if that gets in your drinking water, it's
- 1:59:15Speaker 14: not going away. You could, you know, if that got
- 1:59:17Speaker 14: into meander, it could be done.
- 1:59:20Speaker 2: All right, old timer. Talk to you later.
- 1:59:23Speaker 17: See ya.
- 1:59:23Speaker 2: All right. The guru of Gerard Miguel. Back in a minute.
- 1:59:30Speaker 4: Back to school is almost here.
- 1:59:33Speaker 2: 570 WKBN. And Ron Furb, you're on the air.
- 1:59:39Speaker 17: Hello?
- 1:59:39Speaker 15: Yes.
- 1:59:41Speaker 28: Kelly from Youngstown?
- 1:59:42Speaker 15: Yes.
- 1:59:43Speaker 28: So I just want to say the guy, Fifth Avenue,
- 1:59:45Speaker 28: that said it's all old people calling in, well, I'm
- 1:59:48Speaker 28: a young one. I'm a boomer baby. I'm Gen X.
- 1:59:52Speaker 28: And I voted for Donald Trump every single time. I'd
- 1:59:55Speaker 28: vote for him again in 2028. And that guy that
- 1:59:59Speaker 28: called about Iran, and I agree with him. Finish the job.
- 2:00:04Speaker 28: I voted for this. Finish the job. Because no other
- 2:00:08Speaker 28: president will have the guts to do it except him
- 2:00:11Speaker 28: in my lifetime.
- 2:00:12Speaker 15: Okay?
- 2:00:14Speaker 28: And the Fifth Avenue wants to talk about Obama. He
- 2:00:17Speaker 28: was the biggest divider of this country that this country
- 2:00:20Speaker 28: ever had. And send pallets of cash to Iran. That's
- 2:00:23Speaker 28: how you want to solve the problem? Send them money
- 2:00:26Speaker 28: to build the nuclear weapons? And Hillary with the Uranium One?
- 2:00:30Speaker 3: So..
- 2:00:32Speaker 28: I don't know what Fifth Avenue is thinking, but I'm young,
- 2:00:36Speaker 28: and I would vote for Donald Trump again. And you
- 2:00:39Speaker 28: got Obama supporting El-Sayed in Michigan, running for Senate.
- 2:00:43Speaker 9: The socialist..
- 2:00:45Speaker 28: Anyone see a pattern here of the socialism takeover of
- 2:00:49Speaker 28: this country? I don't want my grandkids to have a
- 2:00:51Speaker 28: socialist country. I don't want Sharia law to be implemented here.
- 2:00:57Speaker 2: Well stated. Well stated.
- 2:01:00Speaker 28: And you know what? Okay, has he made some decisions
- 2:01:04Speaker 28: about Iran? Trump has told his administration, they have all
- 2:01:09Speaker 28: said his heart breaks when a soldier dies. I totally
- 2:01:12Speaker 28: believe that with him. There's a side to Donald Trump
- 2:01:16Speaker 28: that nobody knows because they're watching all the lies on
- 2:01:19Speaker 28: all the mainstream media that's out about him.
- 2:01:22Speaker 15: Not all the good stuff.
- 2:01:24Speaker 28: They refuse to even report it. They won't even put
- 2:01:26Speaker 28: the State of the Union address up of a president.
- 2:01:30Speaker 28: Are you kidding me?
- 2:01:34Speaker 13: So anyway..
- 2:01:35Speaker 1: Very impressive. I want you to call me more often.
- 2:01:37Speaker 1: We've got to hear more of what you have to say, okay?
- 2:01:40Speaker 28: Oh, sounds good.
- 2:01:41Speaker 2: Thank you. We really do. You're on the air.
- 2:01:45Speaker 16: Hello, Ron.
- 2:01:45Speaker 6: Thanks for taking my call. I'd like to share a
- 2:01:47Speaker 6: few quick articles. This is Wall Street Journal today. Gulf
- 2:01:51Speaker 6: states accept new normal in Hormuz. Iran is in control.
- 2:01:56Speaker 6: Persian Gulf energy producers are concluding... that Iran's control of
- 2:02:00Speaker 6: the Strait of Hormuz will become permanent, disrupting the oil
- 2:02:03Speaker 6: and gas exports and global energy supplies indefinitely. The problem
- 2:02:09Speaker 6: is they worry the alternative is going back to war
- 2:02:11Speaker 6: would be worse. So Iran kind of accepted that, I mean,
- 2:02:16Speaker 6: other states around the Persian Gulf have kind of accepted
- 2:02:18Speaker 6: that Iran's called the shots now.
- 2:02:21Speaker 1: I tell you what, you need to call me tomorrow
- 2:02:24Speaker 1: when I start at 3 o'clock and pick it up.
- 2:02:26Speaker 2: I want to hear more of this. I'm out of time, okay?
- 2:02:29Speaker 2: I need to hear this. Thank you.
