Transcript
- 0:00Hey, friends. Welcome to another podcast. We appreciate you guys so very much. We've got my
- 0:04brother from New York, Claude Stoffer in the house. And we're going to talk about weather
- 0:08or not. You've heard this. Donald Trump is the anti-Christ or savior. What exactly is
- 0:14he, and we've heard Elon Musk, we're just going to debunk some of this with my pastor brother
- 0:21in just a minute on World View Matters. Stay tuned.
- 0:27Welcome to World View Matters, discussing controversial issues, discerning current events,
- 0:34defending biblical Christianity. No topic, off limits. And now, here's your host, David Firazo.
- 0:45Hey, friends. Welcome. I want to bring in my brother, Claude Stoffer. And you want to go to his
- 0:49website and check out his great blogs at shepherdofhope.org. That's shepherdofhope.org. And he
- 0:56pastors in New York. Brother, so thankful for your time again today. Good to see you. It's always
- 1:02good to join you. I love your show, too. I love your show. It's really been great lately. It's been
- 1:07awesome. Thank you. Well, that's the guests. I just try to ask the right questions and let the
- 1:12guests just go. And they're the experts, right? But I have had some wonderful people on. And that
- 1:18blesses and encourages me. But before we get rolling with this idea to just to talk about what
- 1:23the idiocy we're hearing sometimes, Trump's the anti-Christ. And you even hear this in churches
- 1:28from progressive Christians and others. But you've got a brand new book out. We're going to get
- 1:33to this the next time we have you on. But since I have no chance to read it, I want to put this
- 1:38up there. Jeff, go ahead and throw up the cover because it is right now, friends, available on Amazon,
- 1:44your greatest patriotic duty. And what does it mean to make America truly great? We know what
- 1:53is said about making America great or making America great again. What does great mean to find great?
- 1:57But truly great. I'm sure you take a spiritual perspective, a biblical perspective on how to make
- 2:05this country truly great. And so you poured your heart into this as you shared with me before we
- 2:10got on. So I just want to make sure people know it's available on Amazon. It is also available at
- 2:16Shepard of Hope.org, correct? Not the book. Okay. You can get a link. It's just under my name on
- 2:25Amazon under the title. It's available in paperback, hardback, Kindle, and also audiobook. Wow,
- 2:33really. That's interesting. That would be nice if you want to, if you like his New York accent,
- 2:38you can get the audio version. Hey, by the way, I was watching you last night. You didn't even
- 2:47realize that I was I was spying on you. You do a Wednesday night service. And brother, I appreciate
- 2:54you. I think believe you were teaching the Old Testament. If I remember correctly, Wednesday night
- 2:59service at Calvary Chapel of Hope in Amityville, correct? Tell us about that and how people can tune in.
- 3:06Well, if you go to Calvary Chapel of Hope.org, you can you can find our website on our website.
- 3:13They also have a link to our radio station, WGSS 89.3 FM. And if you just go on YouTube and
- 3:20search for Calvary Chapel of Hope, you'll find our site. And we have there's a number of teachings
- 3:25there on Wednesday nights. I teach in the Old Testament on Sunday mornings. We teach on the
- 3:30New Testament. And presently on Sundays, we're we're in Romans chapter 12. We're going to be talking
- 3:36about spiritual gifts. And on Wednesday, we just started a study on the minor prophet prophetic
- 3:42book of Amos. And that's a fantastic, those minor prophets are fantastic portions of scripture.
- 3:49Not everybody is familiar with them. But they're really a portion of scripture that shouldn't
- 3:54be neglected. And I thank you for doing that. A lot of pastors kind of avoid the Old Testament.
- 3:59And even prophecy. And that's for a whole nother podcast. I'm sure we've talked a little bit
- 4:04about that in the past. How some churches just don't want to dig into Bible prophecy. And what is
- 4:08it between one third and a quarter, a quarter or a third of the Bible is prophecy. And and
- 4:14and 27% of the Bible is prophetic. And Jesus built upwards of 300 prophecies in his first coming.
- 4:23And he's still, you know, he's promised to return. So he fulfilled those prophecies in his
- 4:28incarnation. We can be just as confident that he's going to return just as he said he would.
- 4:33Amen. It's a head scratcher brother. I mean, I know a lot. We can analyze, overanalyze it.
- 4:40I think some pastors didn't get great training in seminary because seminary shifted to church
- 4:47growth and other things. Maybe got away from the inerrancy of scripture and the whole council of God
- 4:53and the Old Testament and prophecy. And it's really sad. But that's the reflection of the church
- 4:57today, the Biblically illiterate church. But we're you're not. We have the people I have on this
- 5:02show. I'm so blessed to hear their teachings and their stance and and their perspective on things.
- 5:06And now let's bring it into what's going on in America right now. There's a battle with Doge.
- 5:11There's some people are actually resisting and fighting against the Trump administration
- 5:18finding waste and fraud and I mean billions of dollars that's been sent wasted. Our taxpayers
- 5:26going overseas. And there are Democrats that are coming against everything Trump does. It really
- 5:33is a time of delusion because you think, okay, if you're an American, wouldn't you want to save
- 5:38money? Wouldn't you want more money to go to the taxpayer? Wouldn't you want the debt to be paid
- 5:43down? Your quick thoughts on that before we jump into this and answer the question is
- 5:48Trump is actually the department of government deficiency is actually discovered even in even
- 5:55they have only been operating for about a month and they've already found upwards of I think four.
- 5:59I saw a figure 4.7 trillion dollars trillion dollars. Wow. It's an incredible and they haven't even
- 6:06really gotten to the meat of government to look at these things. But you know, they're looking at
- 6:11the social security recipients and they're finding people, you know, all these people that are over,
- 6:17you know, some of them are 200 years old and are still receiving social security payments.
- 6:23And you know, I'm a senior. So you know, that kind of riles me up a little bit.
- 6:30But you know, it's really it's really those that oppose the department of government
- 6:35efficiency really expose themselves when they oppose them because who wouldn't want your government
- 6:43to be more to operate more efficiently, right? Who wouldn't want graft and corruption to be exposed?
- 6:50Well, obviously those who are guilty of it, right? And that's really that's really what we see.
- 6:55And boy, I thank the Lord every day for for Elon Musk and what he's doing. I mean,
- 7:02and a man doesn't know the Lord, but he certainly is an instrument to to kind of make our country
- 7:09great again in terms of getting it back to a more efficient running government and exposing all
- 7:15of the corruption and the, you know, it's just it's incredible that anybody would would oppose that.
- 7:24Okay, so and I heard one commentator and I agree with him last night say,
- 7:29the typically the people that are opposing are the ones that are either getting some sort of
- 7:33kickbacks or some sort of money from some of this overseas stuff getting something return.
- 7:39It's just really amazing corruption, but you said something very interesting about Elon Musk not
- 7:44being a believer and yet he's doing something good for the country. Friends, if you're a Christian
- 7:48and have a biblical worldview, wouldn't you want America to be preserved strengthened? We've been
- 7:55weakened. They have tried to dismantle our nation morally, spiritually, economically,
- 8:03militarily, my goodness, dumbing us down the education. The left has done a masterful job and it's
- 8:10evil, but they've done a great job at dumbing down and weakening dismantling. So wouldn't you want
- 8:16whether someone's a Christian or not to be working in the business of America of preserving us,
- 8:22of helping us? Claude, could you speak to that for a moment because a lot of Christians need a
- 8:29healthy perspective biblically on whether to support someone who's not a Christian and President
- 8:36Trump, we don't know exactly where he stands, but I mean, in Old Testament, God used Cyrus,
- 8:41King Cyrus, Isaiah 45. God uses kings and other people to help nations. Go ahead.
- 8:49Well, God uses imperfect instruments. If you didn't use imperfect instruments, you and I wouldn't
- 8:56be here and no one would be used, but I think it's important for us. I think there are some Christians
- 9:02who overspiritualize their worldview and say, well, why should I be patriotic? Why should I care
- 9:09about America? And this is one of the things that I talk about in my book, your greatest patriotic
- 9:15duty. But some people try to apply second Chronicles 714 to America that if my people repent and return,
- 9:24I'll revive them. But that's really not a good application. That verse spoken by Solomon on
- 9:32the day that he dedicated to temple was more aimed at Israel. But there is another portion of
- 9:40spoken by Jeremiah, the prophet in Jeremiah chapter 18 verses 5 through 11, where there's a more
- 9:45broader statement that's made that if a nation that has judgment been pronounced upon, if a nation
- 9:52repents that the Lord will relent and the Lord will hold back his judgment. And I kind of think,
- 9:58you know, this last election was the product of much prayer. People were really praying because they
- 10:04really understood the crisis and the pivotal nature of this recent presidential election.
- 10:10And I think the outcome was the product of much prayer. And look, President Trump, he's like any
- 10:18other human. He's imperfect. He's in flawed. You may not like him. You might not think that he's
- 10:23sensitive or empathetic or sympathetic to people. But the Lord is using that man. And you know,
- 10:30I think it's very interesting that he did literally dodge a bullet and did so courageously
- 10:39when you look at President Trump, you know, his whole thing is making America great again. It's
- 10:44actually anti-Antichrist because the Antichrist is someone who's going to want to unite the world
- 10:53under his control. President Trump is not that at all. He is pompous. If you want to
- 11:01call it that, he is proud. He is arrogant and naughty. But the thing that he, his priority is
- 11:08making America great again. And you know, he spoke to all of the globalists at Davos and really
- 11:18just refuted them and shot them down. And you know, if he was Antichrist, he'd go in there and he'd
- 11:24be really trying to smooth them over. So I really have a difficult time with those that
- 11:31contended President Trump is the Antichrist. I think there's a lot of reasons why he's just
- 11:38not the Antichrist. And really, in many ways, to say that President Trump is the Antichrist,
- 11:44sell Antichrist short. I love President Trump. I think he's great. He's not the level. I don't
- 11:53think that the Antichrist will ultimately be. So some of you just heard Claude say, I love President
- 12:00Trump. And I mean, I respect what he's doing. Policies, I respect that, not necessarily his
- 12:06personality. But some of you may have heard that and think, well, this pastor is idolizing President
- 12:12Trump. I'm thinking, okay, do you love a professional athlete? Do you love your favorite NFL
- 12:18teams quarterback? Do you ever say I love so-and-so? Come on, come on now. Let's be real. You know,
- 12:23just because we happened to say I love this guy, I love what he's doing. And he happens to be a
- 12:28politician. You better be careful, friends, with the hypocrisy. And that's just my little
- 12:34two cents. Would you like to clarify anything more about that, Claude?
- 12:38Well, you know, I just, you know, there's a verse in scripture that speaks about the latter days.
- 12:47And it says to be watchful. But then in 1 Peter chapter 4 verse 8, it says, above all else,
- 12:56have a fervent love one another because love covers a multitude of sin. And I think that
- 13:02in the end times there's going to be deception. In the end times, the devil is going to be working
- 13:07overtime to divide us. And I'm not at all insinuating that we should overlook sin. I think you have
- 13:14to deal with sin. I think when someone is acting in a sinful way or even when a nation acts in a
- 13:20sinful way that has a Christian, we're obligated to take a stand and to point that out, right?
- 13:28It tells us in Ephesians 5 11 have nothing to do with the unfuful works of darkness, but rather expose
- 13:35them. And excuse me. But so when I say I love President Trump, it doesn't mean that I ignore his
- 13:44flaws. Amen. That means I embrace him. Look at all he's doing. He's exposing corruption in the
- 13:50government. He's putting things in place to protect Christianity against persecution. I mean,
- 13:57this country has been persecuting Christians ridiculously. He's for freedom of speech.
- 14:05He's holding people accountable who need to be held accountable whether they're foreign
- 14:10people or whether they're domestic. So there's a lot to like. There's a lot that he's doing.
- 14:18He's the first president to actually speak and make his presence known at the life meeting
- 14:29a few years ago. The pro-life march, right? He did that. And JD Vance was there this year.
- 14:36Yeah. And you know, in terms of the Antichrist, one of the things it says that
- 14:41is that in 2 Thessalonians chapter 2 is that the Antichrist will exalt himself as God, right?
- 14:48Now, when you look at President Trump, you know, he's not shy about taking credit for things,
- 14:56right? Patting himself on the back, right? But he is very distinctively clear on giving credit
- 15:05to God, right? He even said that the Lord was the one that spared him and he feels that he has,
- 15:11he's on a mission to make America great again. And he gives glory to God and look at the inauguration,
- 15:19look at the prayers that were prayed, look at the worship that was held there. You know, the impetus
- 15:25for the book that I wrote on your greatest patriotic duty was a shortly right after he gave
- 15:34his acceptance speech. There was a short video of his supporters breaking out in worship and
- 15:41singing how great that art. And I got to tell you, David, when my wife called me over to watch
- 15:46this and when I did, I was getting a lump in my throat and I was just thinking to myself,
- 15:52oh my goodness, Lord, you're answering our prayers. Look at this. This is not only a political revival.
- 15:58This could lead to a spiritual revival, right? And I think we have a great opportunity
- 16:05before us. If all we do is clear the books and bring the books, balance the books politically
- 16:16and get people in place and things, if all we have is a political victory, then I think we've missed
- 16:22the mark. I think what this is a tremendous opportunity to go beyond that to have a real
- 16:28live, you know, awakening, a great awakening, a revival in our country that hopefully would spread
- 16:34to the world. So friends, how do you respond when people say Trump is the anti-Christ? We're going
- 16:40to get into the nuts and bolts of Pastor Claude's article when we come back on World View Matters.
- 16:44Introducing Patriot Mobile, the wireless carrier that stands with you. We are committed to

- 17:18Still going strong, friends. Man, thanks to you, your support. Our episodes have been surging.
- 17:26We are averaging still a quarter of a million views, listens and downloads, particularly the
- 17:31downloads have skyrocketed just in the last couple of weeks. We've got people working on this
- 17:35behind the scenes, but it is getting out there regardless. So thank you. Pastor Claude Stoffers
- 17:41with us, the website shepherdofhope.org. So you say that President Trump has repeatedly
- 17:50expressed a favorable attitude towards Christianity. He's a staunch support of Israel.
- 17:56He is the only president to stand at the march of life. He is a protector and
- 18:02proponent of conservative values and appointing Christian nominees, writing the wrongs perpetrated
- 18:10by the previous administration. And he said he wants his legacy to be that of a peacemaker.
- 18:15One more thing and I'll let you respond, Claude. By the way, these are reasons, friends.
- 18:19President Trump could not be the anti-Christ. Anti-Christ is not for sovereign borders or nations,
- 18:26but will rise to rule the world in a globalist system. And Trump famously said in his first
- 18:32term as president, when he was speaking at the UN, America will never be a globalist nation. Go
- 18:39ahead and share more on this, Claude. Well, you know, that's that is one of the main keys,
- 18:45right, that the whole premise, the whole the whole mantras, you know, I hate to use that word,
- 18:51but the whole emblem of the Trump candidacy from the very start has been to make America great
- 19:01again. He's not a globalist at all. I mean, you look at the other previous administrations,
- 19:07the Biden administration, the Obama administration, even going back to a certain extent to Clinton,
- 19:14to the Bushes. I mean, especially now in hindsight, we see, you know, George Bush senior
- 19:24talking about a global, you know, global network. And this is not Trump at all. Trump is not
- 19:31like that at all. He's solely, he's pointing out how the United States has been ripped off
- 19:38internationally. He's calling to account the nations of Europe that they support themselves
- 19:45instead of relying so heavily on America financially and even militarily. He's he wants to be a
- 19:54peacemaker. Jesus said, blessed are the peacemakers for they will be called sons of God. So to me,
- 19:59that his whole desire and objective to be known as a peacemaker is evidence that, you know, he,
- 20:08you know, Trump, he everything he says, he doesn't sometimes he speaks. It seems like he's speaking
- 20:14off the cuff, but I think he's very intentional and things that he said says and to say that he
- 20:20wants to be a peacemaker gives me hope that the man is, you know, closer to the Lord than we give
- 20:26him credit for. Mm hmm. I just want to read another quote from a section of your article is Trump
- 20:32the Antichrist and you just wrote this last month. It says, President Trump is not perfect. His
- 20:39mega movement is a political movement that welcomes some groups. I wouldn't, but valing never, never
- 20:47Trump or Trump derangement syndrome sentiments by trying to label him Antichrist or evil is
- 20:55counterproductive to the patriotic good he is trying to accomplish as well as being a pawn of his
- 21:03opposition who actually are globalist establishment players being used by forces of evil or forces
- 21:12of darkness. Please continue along these lines, Claude. Well, you know, we look at, look at his nominees,
- 21:19the nominees that he's chosen, especially someone like a Hegseth, you know, who's, who's, who's,
- 21:25he's not perfect either, but he seems to be a solid Christian. Now Tulsi Gabbard and Cash Patel,
- 21:31there I believe are, are Hindu, but still they have a strong patriotic fervor and, and, and world
- 21:39view, making that to make America great again. Now the thing I think that we often, you know,
- 21:46miss on or, or get the wrong idea of, you know, we don't elect a pastor. Now the president
- 21:52can serve in pastoral ways when there's a, when there's a crisis like we saw in the Carolinas
- 22:00when the hurricanes hit or when we, or when we see the wildfires and people are losing their homes
- 22:06or when there's some kind of a national catastrophe, there, a president has to have a certain
- 22:12element of, of, of aster in him, of shepherding to take care of the citizens of the country.
- 22:18But he's, for the most part, President Trump is, he's a businessman and he has sought political
- 22:25office, not pastoral office. And so, you know, these are the, these are the things that, that, that,
- 22:31that President Trump is, is, is, is really proving to be an exceptional and extraordinary
- 22:38candidate and president. Unlike we've seen in many of them, just, just to say that he is fulfilling,
- 22:45he's fulfilling his promises. That in and of itself is extraordinary as a president.
- 22:51Yeah, it's not just a slogan promises made promises kept. He's doing it. And his defense usually is,
- 22:57that's what they elected me to do. So the vast majority of people, I mean, I mean, he won the
- 23:03swing states. He turned some blue counties red and even in blue states, it really is astounding why?
- 23:10Because he's pretty transparent. He's, you know, he'll say something. You don't have to guess
- 23:16where he's coming from. This is what he ran on. The border is a huge issue. The economy and,
- 23:22what he's doing now, looking for a waste fraud corruption. This is what he ran on. But I want to
- 23:27share another quote and let you expound. We've got four minutes left. Claude, you said, I do not
- 23:32endorse everything my country does. But I do believe our country is the best country. And I also think
- 23:38we're living in an atmosphere, and you alluded to this earlier, that is very conducive to forwarding
- 23:44the Great Commission. I do believe the Holy Spirit is working and restraining evil in answer to
- 23:51our prayers. Share a little bit more about that because we see that happening.
- 23:56Well, I think, you know, as a Christian, I don't think that you can scripturally support the idea
- 24:03that Christians should be isolationists. I just don't believe that Jesus said to be salt to be
- 24:08light. And I think that our calling from the Lord is to infiltrate society and influence it for
- 24:15the glory of God through the gospel of Jesus Christ. That's what I believe. So I believe that as
- 24:20Christians, if we are isolating and remaining out of politics and out of the public square,
- 24:26I think we're missing a tremendous opportunity, especially now in this present political climate.
- 24:32I think there's tremendous opportunity for us to get involved on local levels, school boards,
- 24:37just local politics, state politics, federal politics. I think that just not just politics,
- 24:45but everywhere we are as Christians, we should be the ambassadors of the Lord.
- 24:51Like it says in 2 Corinthians chapter 5, where it says, we are an ambassadors of the Lord.
- 24:58It says, though, God is calling the lost to be reconciled to him, you know, begging him.
- 25:04I think that's going to be our heart because I do believe we're living in the end times.
- 25:08I do believe the Jesus return is right. He's right at the door. And so time is short.
- 25:15We need to pull out all the stops and start reaching out to the lost like never before.
- 25:21And I think the political climate is conducive to that right now. I think people are starting
- 25:27to listen. They're starting to wake up. They're seeing all this corruption. They're questioning.
- 25:32This is the perfect climate to present the gospel of Jesus Christ and, you know, with a solid
- 25:38apologetic or even a lemic, you know, go on the offensive.
- 25:43Yeah, I mean, look what's happening on some of college campuses. That's very fascinating,
- 25:46especially Ohio State. Now, I'm a Michigan guy, right? But I admire what's going on out of
- 25:50Ohio State. I pulled for their team to win the national championship. And sure enough, they gave
- 25:54glory to Jesus, not just God, not just thank you. We're blessed. God, glory and honor to Jesus,
- 26:00Christ. But I want to share something that I posted last week and we got to wrap this up.
- 26:04Truth must be told. Battles must be fought. Evil must be resisted. The gospel must be proclaimed.
- 26:10Christ must be first. His church must take a stand. Children must be protected. Parents must wake
- 26:16up. Believers must speak up. Demonic agendas must be confronted and exposed. God must be glorified.
- 26:23And we must understand the times and not give up. That's on my personal Facebook page from
- 26:31last week, Claude. Next time we have you on, I will have this book read. And hopefully some in
- 26:35the audience will have picked this up as well. So if you're watching or listening, your greatest
- 26:41patriotic duty by Claude Stoffer, what does it mean to make America truly great? 45 seconds,
- 26:48your closing thoughts, brother. My closing thoughts are be in prayer for our country.
- 26:56Pray for revival. Pray, you know, someone has said the best way to start a revival is to draw
- 27:01circle around yourself and pray for the person inside that circle. I think we need to be praying.
- 27:07I think we need to be in God's word. I think we need to be seeking, seeking the empowerment of the
- 27:12Holy Spirit to use us. However he sees fit and and be bold as a lion, folks. Look, read the book
- 27:19of Daniel and look at Daniel and Meshak, Shadrach, and Embednego, how the Lord used them in a
- 27:24political setting. And he can use us to wherever we are at work, in school, in the public square,
- 27:31in politics. Don't put any restrictions just be used by the Lord to be his ambassador.
- 27:38Perfect ambassadors for Christ not secret agents, brother, to be continued. Good to see you.
- 27:43Thanks for your time. God bless you friends and as always, keep speaking the truth about things that
- 27:49matter.
