- 0:00Caffeine gives you a burst of energy by borrowing from tomorrow.
- 0:04When your body makes its own energy instead of faking it with caffeine,
- 0:07that is when you can finally start to feel steady and calm and energized.
- 0:12Welcome to episode 171 of the Health with Hashimoto's podcast.
- 0:16I have an interview for you today and I think you're going to love it if you
- 0:19are looking for natural solutions for better energy.
- 0:22Welcome to the Health with Hashimoto's podcast. This is where you will find
- 0:26clarity and simple, sustainable strategies to feel better.
- 0:30I want to help you figure out your root causes.
- 0:33My name is Esther Yunkin. I am a registered nurse.
- 0:36I spent about 17 years in the emergency department and then got sick and tired
- 0:40of putting Band-Aids on chronic things.
- 0:42I went back to school and now I have been in holistic health education for about 10 years.
- 0:47I know how exhausting it is to live with fatigue, brain fog,
- 0:51and the ups and downs of Hashimoto's, and that is why I'm here.
- 0:54I'm here to cut through the confusion and to give you practical steps that support
- 0:59your body, calm your immune system, so that you can regain your energy and feel like yourself again.
- 1:05I'd love to introduce you to my guest today, who is Ben Bressington.
- 1:09He is the founder of Bear Remedy, which is a company focused on helping people
- 1:12manage stress and restore energy naturally.
- 1:15After facing his own health challenges and discovering how high cortisol and
- 1:19burnout were affecting his body, he began exploring functional mushrooms and
- 1:23adaptogens as powerful natural tools for recovery.
- 1:27Today, he is on a mission to help a million people feel calm,
- 1:32focused, and energized without relying on caffeine or quick fixes.
- 1:35Through Bare Remedy, he creates potent mushroom tinctures and adaptogenic gummies
- 1:40designed to support balanced cortisol, steady energy, and better resilience.
- 1:46And that is something that every single woman with Hashimoto's can appreciate.
- 1:51So welcome to the podcast, Ben. I'm so happy to have you.
- 1:55Can you tell us a little bit about your story? Why did you get into this?
- 2:00Well, one of the things, it was funny with my ex-wife, we spent six years going
- 2:04through IVF and the complications of IVF treatment on her body,
- 2:10the side effects it actually created.
- 2:12Was very eye-opening for a man who's kind of ignorant of the health world.
- 2:17Like, to be honest, I had no idea of the health world. I kind of just thought
- 2:20medicine was there to help you.
- 2:22And after spending six years and seeing specialists all around the world,
- 2:26like we went and did IVF in Spain and seeing some of the leaders,
- 2:30the leading surgeons and clinicians over there and just all the stuff.
- 2:35And you get to experience the different levels of medical treatment or lack
- 2:42of medical treatment or sometimes the like,
- 2:45let's just run your entire bowels and see what's going on and really dismiss the 40% side effect.
- 2:52You're going to have a colostomy bag that like, it's just like,
- 2:55well, it's just 20 grand out of pocket. No worries, just do it, right?
- 2:59And this approach to me just really woke me up to how messed up the medical
- 3:06system is and how messed up the advice a lot of people get or how,
- 3:10I would say, immature it is.
- 3:13Because we're gonna look back in a few years and go, okay, we were telling people to do this.
- 3:16It's kind of like putting leeches on your body for blood extraction, right?
- 3:20Like, leeches weren't that many years ago.
- 3:25I don't think people actually understand the scope of this. This is not talking
- 3:28100 years ago. This is, people were still doing it 20, 30 years ago.
- 3:33So medicine is an interesting beast. And now that I'm in the belly of the beast
- 3:37doing a whole lot of alternative holistic medicines, what we're seeing is just completely amazing.
- 3:43So my journey was through personal pain.
- 3:46And then obviously I went through the whole journey of a burnout from drinking
- 3:50six cans of monster energy drink a day with about 10 different espresso coffees, not just like,
- 3:58coffee, but like I was drinking espresso coffees and then wondering why I can't sleep to save my life.
- 4:04And like, so yeah, I would go to Costco and buy a 24 pack of monster energy
- 4:09drinks and I would be lucky if that would last two days.
- 4:12So, and Costco doesn't sell the baby cans.
- 4:15Costco sells the big big cans so yeah
- 4:19and then when you talk about the impact of that and i didn't
- 4:22understand how my stomach was just being totally destroyed and like that with
- 4:26that impact uh and it took many many years and to write the ship and i feel
- 4:31like you just don't know and sometimes you just don't know where to turn we
- 4:35deal with i get to deal with a lot of people dealing with immunotherapies.
- 4:40Chemotherapies whatever type of therapy you want to name because what mushrooms
- 4:44do is really broad and how they're,
- 4:49healing themselves and allowing their bodies to go through a healing process is quite fascinating.
- 4:55So I've just kind of now committed my life to facilitating that and empowering
- 5:00people to feel clean health.
- 5:03And it's a way for people to connect with each other. I think that's one of
- 5:06the important elements of this health journey is actually connecting and reconnecting
- 5:11with people because I still feel that we're in a world where people are more
- 5:15disconnected than ever before.
- 5:17And I think it's all to do with how we feed our brain, how we feed our body,
- 5:22how we nourish our souls.
- 5:25And that's one of the fascinating things when you deal in the medical world, right?
- 5:29Like just the spiritual elements of health.
- 5:32They don't believe it because they can't validate it, but you know what?
- 5:35There is something to it.
- 5:36And just the recharging your spirit.
- 5:40And sometimes you don't realize like a little thing that catches a lot of people
- 5:44is dealing with gluten, right?
- 5:46Like it took a long time and it was only until one nurse after many,
- 5:51many months of failed gluten intolerance treatment, she goes,
- 5:55how long are you giving up bread or giving up like gluten-based products?
- 5:59She goes, you are aware it takes 21 days for gluten to leave your body.
- 6:04So you just doing a seven-day detox is literally doing nothing for you.
- 6:12And nobody told us that after thousands and thousands of dollars of doctor's
- 6:19time, treatment protocols, these detox things for this gluten type stuff.
- 6:24And they're like, oh, yeah, yeah, you aren't giving it enough time. Oh, no.
- 6:29Like, where was that conversation two years ago?
- 6:34Right. They're just going to take your money but not give you the information
- 6:37you actually need to make a difference.
- 6:39Yeah, and it was only when like a nurse pulled us aside and said,
- 6:42hey, like, you are aware of this, right? And we're like, no.
- 6:46We're like, where's that on any of the literature? Where's that on the videos
- 6:51or the education you give?
- 6:52Where is that? When did the doctor tell us this?
- 6:56And yeah, it was just so like as traumatic as that journey I went through to
- 7:01health, I now realize there is better alternatives.
- 7:04And some of those alternatives, funny enough, are the things that the Native
- 7:09Americans or indigenous people have been doing for centuries.
- 7:12And what I love about mushrooms, for example, is that medical companies,
- 7:18I only learned this recently, medical companies will actually study mushrooms.
- 7:22And they will take one of the compounds out of a mushroom, like one cellular
- 7:28derivative, right? And then because they can pattern that.
- 7:31But what they'll leave is they'll leave maybe the four or five other molecules
- 7:35in that that stabilize that, which if you take the mushroom versus taking the
- 7:40pharmaceutical alternative has all these side effects.
- 7:43The mushroom has none because it stabilizes itself at a molecular level.
- 7:47And I'm like, wow, like, holy crap, like, this is interesting.
- 7:54Maybe it's just interesting to me, but maybe now I'm a little weird and I'm
- 7:57in the world of hippies and stuff like that.
- 8:01No, I absolutely understand. And it happens so many times in medicine.
- 8:05I talk about one natural herb product. It's a combination of five herbs.
- 8:09And a pharmaceutical company tried to mimic it.
- 8:13And when they did their double-blind placebo, they compared it to this natural herb.
- 8:19And they found that the natural herb had zero side effects and is like $50 a
- 8:25month. and the pharmaceutical mimic, it had worse efficacy, more side effects,
- 8:32and they still put it on the market.
- 8:34And I believe they're charging like $50,000 a month.
- 8:37That is such a broken system when people can turn to natural things.
- 8:42And because of that synergy that God gave us in the plants, you're right.
- 8:47Most of them, or a lot of them, don't have side effects. So tell us more about
- 8:53this spike and crash stress cycle from people reaching for caffeine.
- 8:59I'm just, I'm so shocked that you were having that many monsters and espressos.
- 9:03I'm glad you got off of those. but tell us because let me back up a little bit.
- 9:08One of my most played episodes is episode 67 of the Health with Hashimoto's podcast.
- 9:14And that's where I'm talking about coffee and how you can't have coffee.
- 9:17You know, I say can't, you shouldn't have coffee within 30 to 60 minutes of
- 9:22your thyroid medication because of how it impacts the medication.
- 9:26And of course, people have to take the thyroid medication first thing in the morning.
- 9:29And what do they want first thing in the morning? they want energy so
- 9:32they reach for coffee and then the second thing
- 9:35that coffee does is that caffeine itself spikes the cortisol cortisol is our
- 9:40stress hormone and that can wreak havoc on autoimmune problems so tell us a
- 9:46little bit about the coffee and that spike and crash stress cycle and how that
- 9:50impacts or how the functional mushrooms can impact this,
- 9:54Well, it's not just the coffee, it's the caffeine in it and the acidity of the coffee, right?
- 9:58So, because coffee is a huge spectrum and some people love Waffle House coffee.
- 10:03They swear by it, where other people are the Starbucks people, right?
- 10:06Or Nespresso, or when I go to Canada, Tim Horton's coffee is just like crack to me, right?
- 10:13So, it's more about the caffeine. And now we've got all these caffeine stimulants, right?
- 10:18They're even putting caffeine in chewing tobacco, so you can now have chewing
- 10:23tobacco with the caffeine, right? So it's faster ingestion right into your cheek, right?
- 10:28So what I explain to most people is there's a difference between natural caffeine
- 10:33and synthetic caffeine.
- 10:34And in all of our mushroom products, there's no caffeine.
- 10:37So where do you get energy that lasts six to eight hours that's clean and smooth?
- 10:42It's what the body does with it. And what most people don't realize is,
- 10:45like, I still have a coffee in the morning, and I'll take two of our energy gummies.
- 10:48I'll take one of our performance tinctures.
- 10:51And the difference is, is how mushrooms work to caffeine. This is why caffeine
- 10:54is called the crash every two to four hours, right?
- 10:57Because it's telling your body, oh my God, we need energy.
- 11:01You've got energy. And what it's not doing is making energy.
- 11:04It's going, now Esther's got energy. Let's get energized.
- 11:08And like, so you get kind of hyper. And this is where people know that threshold.
- 11:12Two cups, three cups, maybe for some heavy caffeine whores like myself,
- 11:16it's kind of seven to eight cups, right? Where you kind of get the jitters because
- 11:20you've had too many cups of coffee. That's now that caffeine overload.
- 11:23And it's like simulating your body to actually generate energy, but it's faking it.
- 11:28This is why there's that big crash, that dive.
- 11:32Where what mushrooms do is they'll go, oh my God, Esther needs energy.
- 11:36Let's generate energy. Let's tell the body, hey, let's turn on and start making energy. Okay.
- 11:45This is why there's no crash. This is why people call me every single day.
- 11:49I'm like, oh my God, I don't need to nap anymore.
- 11:51I used to have a nap for 20 minutes, an hour, whatever it is,
- 11:55whatever you call a nap. I'm not arguing the world of nap.
- 11:59In the land of Nod, not needing it and having more energy throughout the day
- 12:04rather than less is the difference between clean energy, which often is not also synthetic.
- 12:10Because a lot of the problems with a lot of this cortisol crash,
- 12:13which a lot of people don't talk about, is the impact that has on your body.
- 12:16Because if your body's doing a big dump because it's crashing,
- 12:21you're compensating and sometimes causing more trauma, more inflammation,
- 12:25specific when it's something to do with your stomach and everything that goes on there.
- 12:30So understanding that you can, if you still want to have coffee, you can.
- 12:35And I do not recommend mushroom coffee to anybody, unless you like the taste
- 12:39of eating sand in a cup of water.
- 12:42So I'm not telling you to switch to mushroom coffee, but you can use this with tea or energy.
- 12:46You can actually turn your coffee or tea into a superfood.
- 12:50And when you do that, you're literally empowering it to support your body better. Does that make sense?
- 12:57That does make sense. So instead of giving somebody an artificial stimulant,
- 13:03you are asking their body to create their own energy.
- 13:07Yeah. And I want to point out that not all mushrooms are created the same.
- 13:11One of the things that I was disgusted when I started into the world of mushrooms, right?
- 13:16Totally disgusted because I tell people in a lot of the supplements out there,
- 13:20there is a farts worth of mushroom in mushroom products, but they They go,
- 13:25oh my God, it's got 10,000 milligrams of a fart.
- 13:29Like it really doesn't matter like how much of that I put in,
- 13:33your body ain't processing it.
- 13:35And a lot of people don't realize that there's, the word they want to be looking
- 13:40for is spagyric extraction.
- 13:42It's the most purest form of extraction. It's a six week at most.
- 13:48It's a very expensive process. But what it does is it makes a product that's
- 13:5295 to 100% bioavailable.
- 13:56That means your body's not peeing it out. That means as soon as you put a drop
- 13:59on your tongue, within five to 15 minutes, your body is processing it and starting
- 14:05to do something with it, helping you relax, helping you deal with anxiety,
- 14:10boosting your immune system and leveraging all the benefits of strengthening
- 14:15your immune, dealing with inflammation.
- 14:18All those benefits to the whole point of creating energy.
- 14:20So a lot of people, oh my God, it's got a five-day water extraction. It's dual extracted.
- 14:26It doesn't really matter if it's not bioavailable. I think we need to change our work.
- 14:31There's a lot of great marketing words that make stuff sound sexy.
- 14:35But if it's still a pig, it's still a pig.
- 14:39And can I just add one more thing to that? Because most people may be new to the world of mushrooms.
- 14:43They're seeing about $20 million worth of ads of coffee supplements every week
- 14:50from mushroom coffees and how amazing they are. because what most of these products
- 14:54don't tell you is, one, they're not using the fruiting body.
- 14:56And what I mean by the fruiting body is, think of a banana tree,
- 15:00right? You've got banana fruit, which you eat, and it's tasty, right?
- 15:04But what if I told you there's a cheaper banana, but what we do is we take the
- 15:10banana tree itself and we turn it into a powder and we tell you that it tastes like banana,
- 15:16but you've got to now use two scoops of it to get that real good banana taste.
- 15:21But it's great, right Would you still like it, right No Well,
- 15:26but what most people don't realize Is that in many,
- 15:29many mushroom products They're literally getting the mycelium powder Which is
- 15:34the root base of the mushroom A mushroom grows from mycelium into a banana,
- 15:40right But what most people don't realize is For pennies on the dollar They will
- 15:45grind up the dirt and the mycelium, right Right.
- 15:49And actually turn that into the product and go, there's 10,000 milligrams in this.
- 15:55It's of sawdust.
- 15:58Literally, of ground-up sawdust is going into your supplements.
- 16:02So this is where, what is the extraction method?
- 16:05And what's the bioavailability?
- 16:08It doesn't matter about potency. I can show you less potent products that are more bioavailable.
- 16:15So therefore, it's actually better for your body. because your body can do something with it.
- 16:19Otherwise, you're literally peeing out those supplements, as they would say. Yep.
- 16:24Yeah. So when you're using mushrooms and you're looking for adaptogens.
- 16:29Can you tell me what, you use the fruiting body of the mushroom,
- 16:33do you use other adaptogens or is it all mushrooms?
- 16:36Yeah, so everything we use, well, we use a whole mix of stuff,
- 16:39but everything uses the same extraction process.
- 16:41So it's we, because I got tired and fed up of this industry being just gimmicky,
- 16:46really. It was just like, but there is so much good stuff with this plant energy.
- 16:50Why aren't we instilling it, right?
- 16:52So that's why you use spagyric extractions. We use things like maca.
- 16:56We use things like redalia, which most people don't know about.
- 16:58So when you're talking about energy and focus, that's amazing when you combine it with coiticeps.
- 17:04Coiticeps are the natural mushroom. And when we combine it with things like
- 17:08lion's mane, you can have, imagine having like a great coffee that gave you
- 17:13all day energy, but without the crotch. but with increased focus and mental recall.
- 17:18There's a whole bunch of studies. A lot of this is coming out of Asia because
- 17:23they've been using these mushrooms for centuries.
- 17:25I've got several trips to Asia to improve our mushroom growth.
- 17:29We're actually growing our own mushrooms, so I'm traveling there next year to
- 17:32literally learn from these people about how they increase their yield and the
- 17:37quality of their products, which isn't happening here, which is a whole other
- 17:41conversation in the U.S..
- 17:43But yeah, so with the products you want to be looking at is look for the type
- 17:46of extraction. If it's not spagyric, you just know it's less, right?
- 17:50The bioavailability is really important, but then the combination of mushrooms
- 17:54or the combination of products or plant medicines, and you can combine them in multiple ways.
- 17:59But we find when you do it right, for example, you can have one of our gummies
- 18:04to eight to 12 of our competitors, and our gummies are all sugar-free.
- 18:09So the thing is, they pack them with sugar to make them taste good,
- 18:13but you don't need to do that for your body because you don't want that nasty sugar in your body.
- 18:18And the more I got into this world and dealing with people who are sick,
- 18:23we're in the process of even creating mushroom-based meals, MREs,
- 18:27but we're actually getting Michelin star chefs to design these meals.
- 18:32And one of the big requests we've had, hey, gluten-free, can you have it with
- 18:36all these intolerances? So we can have a meal that we could trust when we're
- 18:41out, but not have something that just tastes like,
- 18:44goop in a bag, right? Because that kind of gets boring.
- 18:47And there's so much you can do with a lot of the mushrooms that we're actually growing for our food.
- 18:52So yeah, if people aren't aware of this stuff for mushroom-based energy,
- 18:56there is a massive opportunity.
- 18:58Once you try a good product, you'll never go back to what you were doing.
- 19:02That is what I can promise people.
- 19:04Right. And you've mentioned spagyric extraction a couple of times.
- 19:08You want to tell us exactly how that is i read it on the website and
- 19:11it's very fascinating yeah so it's it's
- 19:14they call it spagyric alchemy because it's
- 19:17one of the most ancient methods to actually getting the
- 19:20nutrients out of any plant any herb any any any anything like that so one of
- 19:26the things we do is we actually it's a three-step process we simplify it so
- 19:30we do a water-based extraction because certain mineral salts beta glucans fats
- 19:34all come out when you do like a water bath right a warm water bath,
- 19:38Then we take that same mushroom and we do an alcohol bar and some people like
- 19:42oh my god, you can't use alcohol Oh my god, i'm like i'm down.
- 19:46It's all good. You're not going to get drunk off this. It's just because.
- 19:50Different fats different beta-glucans different minerals different salts Come
- 19:55out in alcohol So we've taken what was in the water what was in now in the alcohol
- 20:00And then it goes through and what we do is we take that raw mushroom,
- 20:04which is now a pretty goopy mess, right?
- 20:07Because it's gone through a water and an alcohol-based extraction,
- 20:11which could be for a week or two each, right?
- 20:14Because we're trying to extract every bioavailability from it.
- 20:18And then what we do is we literally burn it. We calcify that raw mushroom so nothing's wasted.
- 20:24So now all of those salts, those minerals, those additional oils that come out
- 20:28in the calcification, the burning of the mushroom, get mixed back into the tincture.
- 20:33So now you've got this tincture that That's what makes it 95 to 100% bioavailable
- 20:39because it's actually rich and it's potent.
- 20:41And every time someone puts one of our drops on their tongue,
- 20:45they're like, whoa, like.
- 20:47They feel a punch because they're like, that is strong. And they're like,
- 20:51but within a few minutes, they're like, damn, I feel it.
- 20:53Like that doesn't usually happen with a lot of other mushroom products.
- 20:57So that's what spagyric extraction is.
- 21:00It's respecting the energy levels, the spirit energy.
- 21:03It's respecting the whole plant cycle. And it's making sure you're not wasting
- 21:08any of it just for turning a profit.
- 21:10I can promise you it would be a hundred times cheaper and a hundred times less
- 21:14effective if I just did a water extraction,
- 21:16which is what a lot of the products on amazon or walmart
- 21:19or you walk into a grocery store and you see them if you're
- 21:22buying a bottle for 19 i can promise you there
- 21:26is not much in that product it just is what it is some people are like i've
- 21:31been using it for years and i feel great yeah but just imagine how you'd feel
- 21:35if you actually had one that was good like life-changing and this is what people
- 21:40tell me every single day they're like i have had an old priest call me just the other day He's like,
- 21:45this guy wakes up at four o'clock in the morning, does church,
- 21:48does service, does a lot in the community.
- 21:50And he's like, I'm getting older. I'm dealing with inflammation.
- 21:53I'm dealing with just energy fatigue issues. I'm dealing with all this type of stuff.
- 21:57And he goes, I really don't believe about your products.
- 22:00I'm like, that's no worries. No worries, father. No, I've got you.
- 22:04Like, that's why 100% money back guarantee. I got you.
- 22:07I sent him out the products. And I said, if you do not steal anything in 48
- 22:11hours, I'll refund your money in full.
- 22:13No question to us. And he goes, what? You'll do that? I'm like, yeah.
- 22:17If it doesn't work, I don't want your money.
- 22:20He literally calls me back and he's like, I am not napping anymore.
- 22:23I actually can now do meetings with people at 7 and 8 o'clock in the evening.
- 22:28This is a guy who's 76 years of age, wakes up at 4 o'clock in the morning.
- 22:33Like, I don't know if I could do that, seriously.
- 22:35But he's like, my body feels alive.
- 22:39And this is one of the big things. Have you ever noticed with some of this herbal medicine,
- 22:44Like you have some of it and it's just like, your body's like, oh, hell yes.
- 22:49Like this feels alive. This feels like it's living. That's what spagyric extraction
- 22:54is. Does that make sense?
- 22:56It does. It does. So I have one question about the burning.
- 22:59When I see things that have been burnt, I think like toxic.
- 23:05Like I'm not going to eat ashes.
- 23:08I mean, granted, the caramelized stuff on the edge of cooked food is amazing.
- 23:13Well, that creme brulee is like, oh, it's the best part.
- 23:16Right. But so tell me, like, how is the burned stuff still okay?
- 23:22Well, it's filtered and cleaned and extracted and things like that.
- 23:24So it's not like they're just, it's not like we just take ash and coal and just
- 23:28dump it in the tincture and just make a witch's brew.
- 23:31That's not what I'm talking about. It actually goes through a scientific process
- 23:34where it's mixed back in to the tincture, but strengthened.
- 23:38So what is happening is you're literally extracting Because in that burnt piece,
- 23:44in that ash There are still nutrients There's salts,
- 23:48there's minerals, there's vitamins That your body can process and can extract
- 23:52So it's kind of like we put it into the tincture We mix it all in We let it
- 23:57soak and steep in there for a little while Like making a good southern tea You
- 24:01better let it steep, right?
- 24:02And then what we do is we extract that
- 24:05So that's why it's always Our liquids are a lot darker Sometimes they may be
- 24:11a little cloudy Because there's so much more life in it And that's the process
- 24:16But this is what they call the alchemy of it Because in the old world You were
- 24:21able to heal people who were sick And they called that,
- 24:26alchemy, magic, right? That dark magic. But this is what, if you look at all
- 24:31pharmaceutical companies, this is they leverage this similar type process of doing it.
- 24:36And that's why in a lot of those TV shows, you'll see them light stuff on fire to get a reaction.
- 24:42It's because in that process, something is actually happening and extracting more nutrients.
- 24:47Okay. That makes sense. So one of my listeners has been listening and very intrigued.
- 24:52Like I I could definitely use more energy, especially if my body is making it.
- 24:56But she's also thinking, I know I have had problems with my cortisol.
- 25:01Obviously, thyroid is out of whack because that's why she's listening to the
- 25:05Health with Hashimoto's podcast.
- 25:06What would you tell her about the safety of using those products,
- 25:12your products, if she's already dealing with cortisol issues and thyroid issues?
- 25:17Any words of caution or is this like all okay?
- 25:22Well, we have a lot of people, you have to trust what your body's doing, right?
- 25:26And what we recommend to people is when they try our micro boosters,
- 25:29certainly you never take the performance one after three o'clock in the afternoon.
- 25:33Otherwise, you'll be laying in bed at 10 o'clock going, I think I'm going to go organize the garage.
- 25:38And that may be something that sounds super, super peaceful to you and you're
- 25:43like, hell yes. But to me, I'm like, no.
- 25:46So there is things and there's usually a protocol. Some of the people who have,
- 25:51one of the ladies who actually has Sashimodis, funnily enough,
- 25:53she was actually telling me she takes our relief at around two or three o'clock
- 25:57and relief is optimized to help with the body stress and anxiety and also your immune system.
- 26:02But it helps her start to settle down because she wasn't sleeping and was taking
- 26:07mood studies as well, right? Which is many side effects of that.
- 26:10She told me that she's actually no longer taking those.
- 26:13By her own choice, we didn't recommend it.
- 26:15So she would actually start taking the relief about two or three o'clock.
- 26:19And what was fascinating about that is when people do that, it helps their body
- 26:22start to like go, hey, over the next six to eight hours, we're gonna have to
- 26:26actually wind down, not wind up.
- 26:28This is what's happening when people are having that two o'clock,
- 26:31three o'clock coffee. Like, oh, I gotta have my last coffee.
- 26:34So I've got energy when I get home to the kids. you don't need that so
- 26:37and then she was taking it an hour before bed and
- 26:40she said after a week she was sleeping deeper and
- 26:43waking up more refreshed than ever before she then
- 26:46noticed she goes and because she felt
- 26:49like her body was getting more rest she wasn't having
- 26:52the inflammation and then the skin reaction she was usually having with her
- 26:56Hashimoto's I'm like that's fascinating and I'm like so she's like she thinks
- 27:00it's all to do with how her body was like recovering and stabilizing and she
- 27:04wasn't on this caffeine roller coaster and she wasn't on all the other stuff,
- 27:10the synthetics she was taking because of what people were telling her to take.
- 27:13And then they also leverage the one we have for our mood and stabilizer.
- 27:17But the advantage is because we have them in a three-bottle set,
- 27:21she was able to optimize what she was taking each day based on how she felt.
- 27:25Not treating it as a one-size-fits-all like, hey, you need this entire mushroom blend every single day.
- 27:32That's not necessarily the case. Some days you wake up and you're like,
- 27:35I'm actually feeling pretty good, but I need a mood immunity boost.
- 27:40Or going into a holiday season, you really want to be boosting maybe your mood, maybe your immunity.
- 27:47So having your body being alive to fight off viruses and bacteria.
- 27:50Because once again, if you start getting something or you're battling something,
- 27:55your immune system can start being compromised.
- 27:57When your immune system is compromised, it impacts your cortisol,
- 27:59it impacts inflammation.
- 28:00It just becomes this vicious cycle And a lot of people are trying to treat the
- 28:05symptom and not the real cause, if that makes sense.
- 28:09So that's the big difference. And just listening to her stories on the impacts
- 28:14that's made her health, it's game-changing for her.
- 28:18That's awesome. That is awesome. And you have a special gift for anybody listening, right? A free sample.
- 28:25Tell the listeners where they can find that and what to expect.
- 28:29Like, what's the best way to use it with their current morning routine?
- 28:33Yeah, so we've given away two samples, actually. So they get to go to the website.
- 28:37There's a special link that you'll give them.
- 28:39And we give them two samples. So all they have to do is pay shipping and handling.
- 28:42So we give them our Amanita Relax Gummies, which is pure Amanita Muscaria, which is the
- 28:48disney mushroom that one was red and white and if you look online they'll go
- 28:52oh my god it's dangerous and poisonous here's a tip every mushroom you ever
- 28:56find shouldn't be eaten raw so like.
- 29:01We do this all in a lab. We do it right. And there's actually now over 3,000
- 29:05citizen studies on the benefits of microdosing.
- 29:10Funny enough, microdosing mushrooms.
- 29:14There's no high, there's no trippy nature with all this other stuff.
- 29:16So they get, and this is one of the best mushrooms for relaxing, but also inflammation.
- 29:22If you want to watch inflammation, swelling, bruising, just disappear in your
- 29:26body, people with sciatica, back pains, back problems, they get this from me.
- 29:31And I get told they want to kiss me multiple times a day, right?
- 29:34So this is our relaxed gummy they're going to get and they're also going to
- 29:37get two gummies of our energy gummy.
- 29:39And this allows them to try what clean energy feels like.
- 29:42If you're new to this game, you take one of the relief, the relaxed gummies, right?
- 29:48And then one of the energy gummies in the morning. If you're a bit of a caffeine lover,
- 29:52like I would call myself, or I call myself a caffeine haul because I'm way at
- 29:56the other end of the spectrum, I have two in the morning And then I find like,
- 29:59I don't need that second, third, fourth cup of coffee or tea or what have you,
- 30:03but what it does allow me to do, get this, it allows me to go, you know what?
- 30:07I don't want a coffee, but what I will do is I will now have a herbal tea.
- 30:11I will have, because I just want a hot drink.
- 30:14I'll have a tea. So I'm now...
- 30:16Kind of making that choice of going i actually
- 30:19don't want more caffeine like sometimes i'm like i don't
- 30:22even like i want coffee today but i just i just want to
- 30:25have a cup of tea right very english of me funny
- 30:28enough so both you'll be getting both of these samples there's like over 30
- 30:32dollars worth of value just shipping and handling it's 5.99 it's the cheapest
- 30:36we can actually get shipping and handling for what it is and we'll just mail
- 30:40these out for you to try and i'm pretty certain you'll get a benefit from the
- 30:44relief and this mushroom as well as the energy.
- 30:48Perfect. I'll have that link in the show notes for everybody listening and then also on the blog.
- 30:53So thank you so much for all of this education. And I have learned a lot.
- 30:57I know that my listeners have.
- 30:59If there is one thing you want them to take away from our conversation today,
- 31:03what is the most important thing that they could take away?
- 31:06The most important thing would be the world of mushrooms is the Wild Wild West.
- 31:10So what you want to do is you always want a quality mushroom that's bioavailable.
- 31:14So when you're looking at products, at sometimes price matters, you get what you pay for.
- 31:20So always look for, how is my body processing it? Not how much is in it.
- 31:26Because the different extraction methods can change the potency.
- 31:31So if you get the most potent and the most bioavailable, your body will heal
- 31:36itself and do amazing things.
- 31:38Awesome. Awesome. Thank you so much, Ben. For everybody listening,
- 31:42head down to the show notes and you will see the link so that you can get the
- 31:45gifts from Ben. I'm super excited to try them.
