- 0:00Hey guys, it's Hannah, and I am back to you with another episode.
- 0:08I don't want to necessarily say whether or not it is a The Sound Within episode
- 0:16or Eye Opener Society's shorter attention span podcast as of just yet,
- 0:22because I'm not sure the length that this episode will go.
- 0:29I have been a bit creatively blocked, and I suppose that is an episode in itself,
- 0:38which is why I am on here talking about it.
- 0:45So, I mean, being creative doesn't always have to mean creating every single day.
- 0:57You do not have to
- 1:01put that kind of pressure on yourself and I'm in a sense speaking to myself
- 1:07but if anyone else needs to hear it then hey there we go and with that I have also not been,
- 1:20going live as of recently on TikTok.
- 1:26So if anybody does follow me on TikTok and they've been wondering why I haven't
- 1:32been streaming as much, it's not because I don't absolutely love doing that.
- 1:39I have said it before and I'll say it again, I simply love the connections that
- 1:45I have made and continue to make on there.
- 1:48And it's more so something personal with me rather than it is you guys.
- 1:59And now this is just sounding like a bad breakup. It's not me.
- 2:04I'm sorry. It's not you. It's me. See, I almost said that backwards.
- 2:10Um.
- 2:13I simply am leaning into the sacred pause that the universe is nudging me to lean towards.
- 2:27And I don't know if it has anything to do with the seasons changing.
- 2:34It's a lot more mucky and cold and rainy. I know that I spoke about that in my past two episodes.
- 2:43And it's just because it is such a big difference from summer.
- 2:48And I guess I'm experiencing it a little bit different as well because of my
- 2:54experience being in Florida the past couple of years.
- 3:00However it's important to listen to
- 3:03your body and I am
- 3:07doing that and I continue to do that throughout my creative process especially
- 3:15when things are supposed to be fun and play And so fun and play for me are playing my instruments,
- 3:25doing art, listening to music, and creating it, sitting around the fire.
- 3:39There's so many things that I consider play and fun.
- 3:45And at times, even things that are meant to be play and fun,
- 3:50I will take and spiral with it.
- 3:58And it can have some ups and downs, and that's mainly based around my obsessive-compulsive disorder.
- 4:05So it's not only fears, intense fears like many people experience with obsessive-compulsive disorder,
- 4:15but for me it can also look like interests and hobbies and curiosities.
- 4:27Because if it has a place in my mind to spiral, then it will.
- 4:33And I have a lot of control over that.
- 4:40Based upon what I'm consuming.
- 4:44And if I'm putting so much stress on myself to do something that I love,
- 4:50it might take away from the joy that it brings me.
- 4:56And so with the intentional breathing and the sound healing,
- 5:03I would really prefer to feel completely free in that space.
- 5:17And I had predicted this was going to happen and that I would eventually feel
- 5:25burnt out because of the obligation and the commitment that I placed upon it.
- 5:32But now it's just time for me to listen to my body and listen to my instincts
- 5:40that are telling me that I need to slow down, take a sacred pause.
- 5:46It's okay to do that. So...
- 5:51When Gary reached out to me the other day and said, hey, do you have any content?
- 5:56And I'm like a content-creating monster.
- 6:03I'm called the big sender.
- 6:08And that's actually just what this uploading app
- 6:13called me because I was uploading too many files within the first week of me
- 6:19having the app because I just had so much creativity flowing and I had so much
- 6:26stuff that I want to say that I want people to hear.
- 6:30And this is one of them.
- 6:33This is stuff that I oftentimes keep to myself and I just self-reflect and I
- 6:40don't really go any further than that.
- 6:43But I do believe that it's important
- 6:48to speak your truth because maybe somebody else needs to hear that.
- 6:57To inspire greatness within them.
- 7:03And the reason why I do this podcast is for self-reflection.
- 7:10And I'm not going to lie and say that sometimes I don't feel a little bit bashful
- 7:14over it, because I am essentially coming on here and talking about my deepest,
- 7:22innermost thoughts and fears and all of what is.
- 7:32And again, I'm not saying that I'm never going to do it again or that I will
- 7:43never have another podcast episode again.
- 7:47I am just listening to my body and taking the sacred pause.
- 7:52And honestly the pressure is only coming from me there's no nobody pressures
- 8:00me to do what I do everyone is actually really accepting and loving and kind
- 8:05about it which I appreciate.
- 8:12But at the end of the day I really need to be accepting and loving and kind to myself,
- 8:21Because oftentimes what we crave as humans from other people is really oftentimes
- 8:31something that we need to give ourselves.
- 8:34And nobody else is going to ever be able to give me what I need because it is within.
- 8:46And I guess
- 8:50I just felt as if all of this in itself was a creative inspiration for an episode
- 8:59for all of my dear friends and family and listeners to hear.
- 9:10Hopefully it inspires you to also look within and realize that you don't need
- 9:20to prove yourself to anybody,
- 9:22but yourself.
- 9:29And I think that I spend a lot of time and effort trying to please others socially,
- 9:43if that makes sense.
- 9:47And I think it's just time to start listening to what I need.
- 10:08And my practice is so important to me because it's done so much for me that
- 10:18I am willing to protect it in any way.
- 10:23And if that means taking a break and really self-reflecting and spending time with my family,
- 10:33then I think that you can't really go wrong with that.
- 10:45Now i have also of
- 10:49course still gone live uh probably twice a week the past couple of weeks so
- 10:58i do still show up it's just not as often and it will still be a hundred percent authentic,
- 11:06And this isn't really a formal announcement either.
- 11:10I'm just really coming on here and sharing a little tidbit of my experience in life.
- 11:18And that's really the only reason I do this, in hopes that it inspires someone else to do the same.
- 11:27Because life is so much more than the bitterness and the sadness that we may sometimes experience.
- 11:36It is the very thing that makes us so grateful and sentimental for the good moments in life.
- 11:47Thank you for listening, and tune in to EyeOpener Society for more awesome content along the way.
