- 0:02[SPEAKER_02]: And I love you, Ohio.
- 0:04[SPEAKER_02]: Not a very pleasant welcome to the Big Play Cleveland show.
- 0:07[SPEAKER_02]: Thursday, addition live on YouTube brought to you by our good friends at Fandwell.
- 0:12[SPEAKER_02]: Hi, I'm Bruce Trent along with Matt Fontana and Ryan Tyler.
- 0:16[SPEAKER_02]: Welcome back, gentlemen.
- 0:18[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
- 0:18[SPEAKER_02]: Didn't seem the same without you last week.
- 0:21[SPEAKER_02]: I miss you, Bruce.
- 0:22[SPEAKER_02]: Nice job, but always good to have you back in the studio.
- 0:25[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't catch your air many fish over two days.
- 0:27[SPEAKER_01]: The only one I called a little the only picture I got a little tiny one.
- 0:31[SPEAKER_01]: We were going big big fish in from my brother's batch of party But we had a good time.
- 0:34[SPEAKER_01]: That was the most important part of my mind.
- 0:36[SPEAKER_00]: Um, I spent an agreed just amount of money Going through my best friends wedding and Charlotte North Carolina so I'm happy to be back in my seat making money rather than flooding it
- 0:46[SPEAKER_02]: We've got so much to talk about.
- 0:47[SPEAKER_02]: I do want to acknowledge a few personal appearances I had.
- 0:52[SPEAKER_02]: I want to acknowledge the passing of a very dear friend of my Bob Fishman.
- 0:55[SPEAKER_02]: I went to his funeral yesterday.
- 0:58[SPEAKER_02]: And when I was hired to replace Pete Franklin, I was doing a show and I got off the air at 11 o'clock.
- 1:05[SPEAKER_02]: And my producer said to me, there's a guy here that liked to talk to you.
- 1:09[SPEAKER_02]: He goes to put the
- 1:13[SPEAKER_02]: And I said, I'll talk to him.
- 1:16[SPEAKER_02]: It turned out it was Bob Fishman.
- 1:18[SPEAKER_02]: And we met in Port de Vallarta with his wife and his little girl daughter, Courtney, who's now expecting she's 29.
- 1:25[SPEAKER_02]: And that's a brilliant job in Boston with her husband, Holden.
- 1:28[SPEAKER_02]: And Bob, and we all met in Port de Vallarta every year.
- 1:34[SPEAKER_02]: And then back here in Cleveland, came to dearest to friends in Bob yesterday.
- 1:38[SPEAKER_02]: had, um, his funeral, um, deepest sympathies to Lisa and Courtney, um, and it was really, really touching and emotional, and I will miss you, Bob.
- 1:50[SPEAKER_02]: Um, I got some personal appearances.
- 1:52[SPEAKER_02]: I'll make, uh, mention of later in the show.
- 1:54[SPEAKER_02]: But hey, um,
- 1:56[SPEAKER_02]: We changed our plans with today's show because of this trade that the Cavaliers made.
- 2:04[SPEAKER_02]: And I mean, I guess you could have seen the writing on the wall with Schroeder going last week to Charlotte that set this up, but strews to the LA Clippers, 2031 and 32 unprotected second round pick to Denver.
- 2:17[SPEAKER_02]: And we get Peyton Watson.
- 2:19[SPEAKER_02]: six, eight, 200 pounds, 23 years old, four-year deal, 88 million less season in 40 of his start, 17.3 points, a game almost 50% shooting, and 43% from 3 point range, 45% from the corner hitting threes, and 24 and 25.
- 2:41[SPEAKER_02]: He's very good defensively, and you know, think about this guys,
- 2:47[SPEAKER_02]: We've been looking for this piece ever since James left.
- 2:51[SPEAKER_02]: A curl, hunter, way, knee-ang.
- 2:55[SPEAKER_02]: This is a, and I wanna talk about all, but I'll let you guys react first, but this might be the answer.
- 3:02[SPEAKER_02]: Considering,
- 3:04[SPEAKER_02]: the dilemma we were left in because James screwed Cleveland for a third time.
- 3:08[SPEAKER_02]: I really like this move.
- 3:09[SPEAKER_01]: I do to Bruce and a lot of people are going to look at the contract for 40 years in 88 million dollars and say maybe that's a little bit of an overpay.
- 3:16[SPEAKER_01]: Sure, but you're also talking about a guy that's 23 years old.
- 3:19[SPEAKER_01]: You hope is going to be getting even better as this time goes on.
- 3:24[SPEAKER_01]: I want to shut off cleave TA.
- 3:26[SPEAKER_01]: If you don't follow them on Twitter, they're great with just
- 3:29[SPEAKER_01]: analytics and they really do explain things that it and they had a great graph about Peyton Watson and just a defensive metric and really Bruce that he's kind of on a trajectory of OGN and OB and I'm not it all trying to say that Peyton Watson's OGN and OB but like if you keep on that trajectory just on a defensive level.
- 3:48[SPEAKER_01]: that's exactly what the calves have been missing and that is a piece that you're going to need going against some of the big wings that you have had or in the east that you're going to have to go up against which is exciting not only again 40% from beyond the arc like this seems to be the perfect piece for the calves and a move that I think at this point proves to bring up Lebron like you did and I think is all just kind of a fallout where the calves were kind of in
- 4:14[SPEAKER_01]: waiting for what LeBron was going to do or not going to do and now that he didn't come to please put him behind the eight ball did.
- 4:21[SPEAKER_02]: And then and the other contenders for his services too.
- 4:24[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah and yeah indeed and this guy's going to be covering some point guards.
- 4:30[SPEAKER_02]: He's an he's a good yeah.
- 4:31[SPEAKER_02]: He's that good defensively.
- 4:32[SPEAKER_02]: I mean he's going to be the best defensive player on the floor sometimes when Mitchell and Harden are on the floor at the same time Ryan.
- 4:39[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but I like this thing for a few reasons guys one Matt you mentioned fits that kind of championship window He's a young ascending player.
- 4:45[SPEAKER_00]: You pair him with guys like mobly and you hope that the future's bright And then also for the defense.
- 4:51[SPEAKER_00]: I think he instantly comes in like you said one of the best defenders If not on this team him and mobly and Ellen who that's a nice three through great point Ryan like he's
- 4:59[SPEAKER_00]: And I think he's instantly the most athletic person on this Cavaliers team so way he throws the ball down I think he adds an element to this team that it was severely missing last season and if the shooting can remain around 40% like he did last season, you mentioned how big that is for this offense.
- 5:20[SPEAKER_02]: You know, you look at what LeBron James did, too.
- 5:23[SPEAKER_02]: Again, not just us, but Miami and not so much Golden State because I always said all along, unless they were able to find out some miraculous way to get Anthony Davis.
- 5:34[SPEAKER_02]: They were not going to be in the picture.
- 5:36[SPEAKER_02]: But to put the calves in that kind of, because the duration of time that James took to make the announcement,
- 5:49[SPEAKER_02]: You put all your eggs in one basket and you got to wait, wait, wait, wait, you can make any other moves, and so it really was kind of behind me eight ball, but this move by Altman, and I'm going to say something about Kobe Altman.
- 6:04[SPEAKER_02]: I wish I could be as high on Barry as I am at Altman.
- 6:10[SPEAKER_02]: I like and respect Kobe Altman a lot, and thank God the calves of God, I'm every even when James left for LA.
- 6:19[SPEAKER_02]: What did Altman do?
- 6:20[SPEAKER_02]: He gets mobley, he gets Allen.
- 6:22[SPEAKER_02]: He winds the deal with Mitchell.
- 6:25[SPEAKER_02]: He had Garland.
- 6:26[SPEAKER_02]: Now he gets hardened.
- 6:27[SPEAKER_02]: He's always trying to improve this roster.
- 6:30[SPEAKER_02]: They make the playoffs every year.
- 6:32[SPEAKER_02]: No, we haven't won the championship since James left, but the fact that the matter is that he has kept this team a serious contender for the Eastern Conference Championship every single year.
- 6:43[SPEAKER_02]: You know, he became the 11th GM of the Cavaliers in 2017.
- 6:48[SPEAKER_02]: he's made 28 trades.
- 6:51[SPEAKER_02]: He's a three time finalist for the NBA executive of the year and I just want to give a shout out that I think we're very fortunate to have Colby Altman calling the shots for the Cavaliers and I know Dan Gilbert would agree.
- 7:03[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's kind of interesting Bruce, because when that all transition happened with David Griffin leaving, I thought that was going to be a bad blow, you know, I really, you know, I like, I like, Griffle, I love David Griffin.
- 7:14[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, the guy put together a championship team and now, and I don't mean this is negatively, it's going to sound.
- 7:20[SPEAKER_01]: David Griffins out of a job like they're thinking about bringing him back in an in a roll underneath Kobe Altman like that's just crazy kind of how the world works and I again I'm still a huge fan of Griff but Kobe Altman has seen through multiple arrows of this team and to your point Bruce which is so right on the team has improved now have they done it on the court maybe not that that's not Kobe Altman's job that's that's Kenny Atkinson's job that's the players job when you come to number one
- 7:48[SPEAKER_01]: This salary cap apron world that we live in that I feel like you need a freaking doctorate to be able to understand all these different moves.
- 7:57[SPEAKER_01]: I guess if I got paid millions dollars, I'd figure it out too.
- 7:59[SPEAKER_01]: Be careful I'm saying he's so smart and moving the money doing this.
- 8:03[SPEAKER_01]: But it never feels like the calves are hamstrung to not be able to make a move.
- 8:08[SPEAKER_01]: Like I'm sure we'll get to it.
- 8:09[SPEAKER_01]: But this Peyton Watson move, there's people signaling things in Denver.
- 8:13[SPEAKER_01]: that there's a tear down comment we see what has happened with some of these other teams that i've had to offload all these players kobi altman's been strategic have you been able to make these huge splash moves maybe not since donovan mitral probably not but you've made move over move that just seems to keep panning out and even the ones that don't right like i love deandry hunter when they trade
- 8:36[SPEAKER_01]: I was just, I thought that was a great move at the time.
- 8:39[SPEAKER_01]: Absolutely.
- 8:40[SPEAKER_01]: You got out of it.
- 8:41[SPEAKER_01]: You got out of it to do what?
- 8:43[SPEAKER_01]: Again, improve the team and get that much better with it.
- 8:47[SPEAKER_01]: And we got to see what Peyton Watson will be.
- 8:48[SPEAKER_01]: Again, I'm very excited about that.
- 8:50[SPEAKER_01]: I know the conversation is going to kind of be around the depth on this team because you've lost Dean Wade now.
- 8:57[SPEAKER_02]: I think losing that again because of little bronze James taking his
- 9:02[SPEAKER_01]: And I think losing Schroeder, which inevitably you were going to have to get rid of down the Schroeder.
- 9:07[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not sitting there saying that he was going to stick around.
- 9:09[SPEAKER_00]: That was inevitable.
- 9:10[SPEAKER_00]: But Bruce, what an important position, the backup point guard is going to be.
- 9:13[SPEAKER_01]: And I know people will sit there and say, well, you got harden and Mitchell, like they can off, you know, hand off the ball they don't have to have.
- 9:19[SPEAKER_01]: But they can't play every minute, right?
- 9:21[SPEAKER_01]: You know, like that role of even when tied to Rome came out of nowhere.
- 9:25[SPEAKER_01]: Like you had shooter is Craig Porter ready for that role.
- 9:28[SPEAKER_01]: I hope so.
- 9:29[SPEAKER_01]: But you just you traded away a big piece.
- 9:31[SPEAKER_01]: Strues on the what he brought in the playoffs, the intensity.
- 9:35[SPEAKER_01]: I completely understand that again, needed.
- 9:38[SPEAKER_01]: Peyton Watson is an upgrade there.
- 9:39[SPEAKER_01]: He just is.
- 9:42[SPEAKER_01]: You're a guy I can never say.
- 9:43[SPEAKER_01]: I was only a guy I got you screwed up on it.
- 9:46[SPEAKER_01]: So when you know that is another piece added to this roster and they did some, they had a change.
- 9:51[SPEAKER_01]: They had to make some changes and they did.
- 9:53[SPEAKER_02]: And you know, uh, claiming, especially in the NBA, you see this, um, you can trade a day of no control, but, uh, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you
- 10:01[SPEAKER_02]: Cleveland has an exactly been the most attractive place for NBA players to come to.
- 10:06[SPEAKER_02]: And even when LeBron was here, he tried to get other star players to come and could not talk them into it.
- 10:15[SPEAKER_02]: He told Griffin at the time, go get me Kevin Love.
- 10:17[SPEAKER_02]: He did.
- 10:19[SPEAKER_02]: Now Kobe has that to fight over to and has done again a very, very good job.
- 10:26[SPEAKER_02]: Here's the other thing that struck my attention with the announcement of this Watson deal.
- 10:31[SPEAKER_02]: Do you know that there are several national media colleagues of ours that believe their first reaction is that this puts the calves back in the picture as an Eastern conference contender?
- 10:44[SPEAKER_01]: I would agree.
- 10:46[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I guess the question is, did you have them out?
- 10:48[SPEAKER_01]: Not you, but the people that say that, did you have them back out of that conversation?
- 10:53[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't either.
- 10:54[SPEAKER_01]: I think they were in it and I think you did.
- 10:57[SPEAKER_01]: You did.
- 10:57[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, sorry.
- 10:58[SPEAKER_01]: You did have them.
- 10:59[SPEAKER_01]: And I think.
- 11:00[SPEAKER_01]: I want to ask you this, Bruce, did you have them out because of the calves or because of the Celtics, the Nicks, the Raptors, the Seventus, the process of elimination.
- 11:08[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 11:09[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 11:10[SPEAKER_02]: Yannis going to Miami.
- 11:12[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 11:12[SPEAKER_02]: Obviously Detroit is still in the picture.
- 11:14[SPEAKER_02]: Halle Burton's coming back to Indiana.
- 11:16[SPEAKER_02]: They're going to be right back there.
- 11:17[SPEAKER_02]: Absolutely.
- 11:18[SPEAKER_02]: Let alone Philadelphia with LeBron.
- 11:19[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 11:20[SPEAKER_01]: So like I completely understand that where.
- 11:23[SPEAKER_01]: You know, in the last couple of years, you'd sit there and say there's three, maybe four teams that could win the East, I feel like now they're six.
- 11:29[SPEAKER_01]: I agree.
- 11:30[SPEAKER_01]: I agree.
- 11:31[SPEAKER_01]: And seven.
- 11:31[SPEAKER_01]: I agree.
- 11:32[SPEAKER_02]: We're still going to have to prove, though, even though we're high on the steel.
- 11:38[SPEAKER_02]: The Cavaliers are going to have to prove that they physically can do it in the playoffs because that has been the nemesis of this team getting in with this core of players
- 11:53[SPEAKER_02]: I'm and they just haven't been physical enough and it's shown in these uh, postseason series.
- 11:59[SPEAKER_01]: Well, you know, I was listening to Brian Winhurst talk about this too where you're back up bigs or Nate Quantomlin Thomas Brian.
- 12:05[SPEAKER_01]: So again, we're just on the back up point guard is going to have to be Craig Porter.
- 12:08[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, your bench is decimated at this point.
- 12:12[SPEAKER_01]: And I know people love to just kind of pile on Dean Wade.
- 12:15[SPEAKER_01]: I wasn't one of them.
- 12:16[SPEAKER_01]: I thought he played an extremely important role on this team.
- 12:19[SPEAKER_01]: He's not here.
- 12:20[SPEAKER_01]: and I guess you could look around the league but it's hard you look at the nicks walls one of the best strengths of the next when they brought guys off the bench like landry shaman who out of nowhere helps them wins games and Josh Hart like I want the starting five to be the best five they are I am a little worried about the depth but the other thing about this move as I was kind of reading and right now you you know I was talking about this with Bobby Marx I think where you said
- 12:42[SPEAKER_01]: There's still another little room for the cabs to sign another guy, the hardened deal aside, like all of this stuff.
- 12:48[SPEAKER_01]: So number one, and again, I was talking about the apron and how confusing it is.
- 12:51[SPEAKER_01]: Basically, with this sign and trade, the cabs now have a hard cap.
- 12:56[SPEAKER_01]: They cannot go past the first apron with this deal.
- 13:00[SPEAKER_01]: Now, where they sit today, and I'm going to screw these numbers up, they have enough to offer about $25 million to James Harden, which I'm assuming he will take, and it sounds like when they wave and stretch cam wit more that they will then have a little money left over to sign one more player.
- 13:19[SPEAKER_01]: Again, I don't know how impactful.
- 13:20[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know where I would just assume a big at this point.
- 13:23[SPEAKER_00]: You have to have another big on this team.
- 13:25[SPEAKER_01]: Absolutely.
- 13:26[SPEAKER_01]: So there's some minor moves to come now.
- 13:27[SPEAKER_01]: I think with this also this domino falling, there are reports that James Harden was getting antsy about where his deal was or what his deal was going to be.
- 13:34[SPEAKER_01]: At this point now, Kobe Altman knows what the numbers are.
- 13:36[SPEAKER_01]: There's literally no reason for him not to be able to offer him that deal sign it.
- 13:40[SPEAKER_01]: And you know what your team is, you know, getting ready to go for training camp.
- 13:43[SPEAKER_02]: Well, yeah.
- 13:44[SPEAKER_02]: And the other challenge for Altman, let's remember, let's go back to when LeBron James Bolton Cleveland originally for Miami.
- 13:50[SPEAKER_02]: That was Pat Riley, of course, who was running the show down there.
- 13:54[SPEAKER_02]: And, you know, he got Bosch and he had weighed, but then he had to fill out the rest of that roster.
- 14:00[SPEAKER_02]: And even though he had his big three, he did a very good job of filling out for Spolstra, that entire roster.
- 14:08[SPEAKER_02]: So now, Altman is looking, he's facing the same situation.
- 14:12[SPEAKER_02]: I think right now, even after this move has met alluded to, there's still a little money that they can spend, but that will be the challenge for Altman going forward.
- 14:20[SPEAKER_01]: certainly shot Norris Cole.
- 14:22[SPEAKER_01]: I just thought of him for some reason about filling out that Miami roster down there and I've talked to Norris several times that ESPN Cleveland state so he's a best, but you got to find those types of guys you have and that's not discrediting jail and Tyson.
- 14:35[SPEAKER_01]: Tyrese Proctor, what a big spot it's going to be for him this year.
- 14:39[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not going to put anything on the league Thomas.
- 14:41[SPEAKER_01]: He's a second round pick as a rookie.
- 14:43[SPEAKER_01]: Like we'll see what we get there.
- 14:44[SPEAKER_01]: Craig Porter, like you're going to have to have these guys elevate to their roles and their jobs in the bench and the same thing.
- 14:50[SPEAKER_01]: It's all going to also come back to what Kenny Atkinson and the roles and the things that he's going to try to put in a place here.
- 14:56[SPEAKER_01]: So I love the move.
- 14:56[SPEAKER_01]: I'm excited for it, but like you said Bruce, it's all got a translate to it on the floor.
- 15:01[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and so hooray for Kobe Altman good job again when we come back we're going to shift our gears and we'll talk prompts that's next on the big play Cleveland show great to have you with us for the Thursday edition
- 15:17[SPEAKER_01]: real quick on her minor, but he too.
- 15:18[SPEAKER_01]: We've got a boxing event coming up.
- 15:20[SPEAKER_01]: It's back new house boxing presents a night to remember three.
- 15:25[SPEAKER_01]: It's Friday, September, 11th at Los Center in West Lake, doors open at 5.30.
- 15:28[SPEAKER_01]: There are eight pro bouts on the card headline by hometown here.
- 15:33[SPEAKER_01]: Hero Thomas Mattis plus undefeated heavyweight Roni Heinz.
- 15:37[SPEAKER_01]: Take it to move and get yours now new house boxing dot com.
- 15:42[SPEAKER_02]: Well, before we shift our attention to the Browns, I want to make mention that this past Saturday, I did a personal appearance at Bunker Hill Golf Course in Madina.
- 15:51[SPEAKER_02]: It was the Joe Tate Foundation fundraiser for scholarships, my old partner and dear friend Joe Tate.
- 15:57[SPEAKER_02]: And many people participating with 18 groups and they had me situated on the 10th T from the up T's, which is about 125, 135 yards in front of where everybody else had to hit.
- 16:10[SPEAKER_02]: So I did a drive for everybody and give how'd you hit him, Bruce?
- 16:14[SPEAKER_02]: I hit him, it was two drives, but they gave me Mulligan.
- 16:17[SPEAKER_02]: So every team got a good drive.
- 16:20[SPEAKER_01]: I think I'm limited Mulligan's for Bruce.
- 16:22[SPEAKER_02]: They gave you plenty of golf balls, which I didn't need, but Chad Gibson, my dear friend, director of Gosset, just came to keep him, but oh, it was great.
- 16:32[SPEAKER_02]: And so four of those teams took advantage and got Eagles.
- 16:35[SPEAKER_02]: Good.
- 16:35[SPEAKER_02]: But it was a great time ahead by y'all, and the only problem was on the way there early in the morning.
- 16:40[SPEAKER_02]: It was still dark, and a deer hit me.
- 16:44[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't know.
- 16:46[SPEAKER_01]: No, no, no, no, right there.
- 16:48[SPEAKER_01]: I coming off down 42.
- 16:50[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 16:50[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 16:50[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, out of the woods.
- 16:52[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 16:52[SPEAKER_02]: So my clear, but here's the irony of it.
- 16:54[SPEAKER_02]: You want to get this.
- 16:56[SPEAKER_02]: I'm going through Brunswick.
- 16:57[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 16:57[SPEAKER_02]: I get past downtown Brunswick.
- 16:59[SPEAKER_02]: And I see a big buck sprinting toward.
- 17:01[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, yeah, they're everywhere.
- 17:03[SPEAKER_02]: And I stopped.
- 17:04[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 17:04[SPEAKER_01]: There was no traffic going on.
- 17:06[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 17:06[SPEAKER_02]: Going or coming.
- 17:07[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, but
- 17:08[SPEAKER_02]: and a buck stop.
- 17:10[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 17:10[SPEAKER_02]: So I crept along and I saw him cross ahead in my rear view mirror and about two miles down out of the clear blue and avoidable.
- 17:17[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 17:18[SPEAKER_02]: It comes as baby deer and it was a baby because I had the spot.
- 17:21[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 17:21[SPEAKER_02]: I felt terrible and I never saw it in my rear view mirror after I collided with it.
- 17:25[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 17:26[SPEAKER_02]: That's just, um, it's
- 17:28[SPEAKER_02]: The damage wasn't severe to my car, bread of car, by the way.
- 17:32[SPEAKER_02]: That freaked out too, but anyway, I took it in yesterday for the estimates that they'll fix it up there.
- 17:37[SPEAKER_02]: There you go.
- 17:38[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know if that derail ever be the same.
- 17:40[SPEAKER_01]: It might not be, so it's like obviously my neck of the woods like I grow up right kind of over that way and it's everywhere and also I heard I didn't in mating season is the worst.
- 17:49[SPEAKER_02]: They're all
- 17:50[SPEAKER_01]: They're everywhere and then there's two number one if you see one, there's most like man Another yeah somewhere and then when they get on that asphalt right ice and they just can't move I know you know like it's a way with all the hunters in Medina County my brother's being quite a few of them I don't know how much time it would have had anyway so fair.
- 18:06[SPEAKER_02]: No Well I thought Watson was good And I thought he solidified his front running position to start the season for the Browns
- 18:19[SPEAKER_02]: Again, Matt and I are in agreement on this.
- 18:21[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know, we'll get Ryan's take on it pretty soon.
- 18:24[SPEAKER_02]: As Matt and I have said here on the show, we believe it gives the Browns the best chance to win his experience factor, the fact that it lets get something for that money.
- 18:39[SPEAKER_02]: And, but my concerns are, and I really like what we saw out of Boston and concept you don't know.
- 18:45[SPEAKER_02]: I really like that.
- 18:46[SPEAKER_02]: Fan and drop the ball that was ridiculously easy to catch and I don't, but I'm not worried about him.
- 18:52[SPEAKER_02]: I have two big concerns, though, with this offense.
- 18:55[SPEAKER_02]: We had no running game whatsoever.
- 18:57[SPEAKER_02]: And,
- 18:58[SPEAKER_02]: The offensive line is suspect and I don't care if it's Watson or Sanders or Tom Brady or Johnny United us if you don't protect a quarterback you've got problems and this offensive line in my opinion is going to be a concern to really watch over.
- 19:15[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and I think number one, they've just got a name the starters for the most part they have.
- 19:20[SPEAKER_01]: And I think we all know who it's going to be and Fano and Zion Johnson.
- 19:25[SPEAKER_01]: And I think it's going to be out in Jenkins.
- 19:28[SPEAKER_01]: And then if it is Kevin Jenkins on the other guard and then Titus Howard.
- 19:31[SPEAKER_01]: I know we have a conversation about moving some guys, looking guys here and there.
- 19:34[SPEAKER_01]: I think it starts with just solidifying and naming the five, which will happen very soon.
- 19:39[SPEAKER_01]: But I also think Bruce and other part of that is getting the quarterback named and getting them used to how they're dropped back.
- 19:44[SPEAKER_01]: So when you're talking with the run game, it's still even in the past set.
- 19:46[SPEAKER_01]: Where is the quarterback going to be?
- 19:48[SPEAKER_01]: What are their drop steps like?
- 19:49[SPEAKER_01]: All that is going to help just kind of get the team the offensive line where it needs to be and then coach them up.
- 19:55[SPEAKER_01]: You know George Warhop, one of the best offensive line coaches in football.
- 19:59[SPEAKER_01]: That's going to be a big on his job to get these guys set and then the fear is to I mean it's like the starting pitching and baseball not for the guardians this year, but you start with five you usually need eight because you're never going to finish with the five that you got right that's how usually goes on the offensive line, but yeah, you know, I'm with you to Watson.
- 20:17[SPEAKER_01]: I thought he was fine.
- 20:18[SPEAKER_01]: You know, overall they weren't going to show very much interesting that they ran the ball their first three down.
- 20:23[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and then I wanted I think they wanted to ease him and then his first passes were real.
- 20:28[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yeah, short ones before he was a 10 years two years.
- 20:33[SPEAKER_01]: He's been in a game.
- 20:34[SPEAKER_01]: It's about two years.
- 20:35[SPEAKER_02]: I think it was hard to do that.
- 20:37[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, but now getting to Sanders.
- 20:41[SPEAKER_02]: I'm I'm gonna put a disclaimer out right from the get go he was with the second and third stringers
- 20:50[SPEAKER_02]: but he was also playing against the second and third stringers.
- 20:54[SPEAKER_02]: And I didn't think he was God awful terrible.
- 20:58[SPEAKER_02]: No, the flow to interception was ridiculous, but I think it exemplified that Watson is clearly the front runner, regardless of what happens in this upcoming preseason game Saturday against Buffalo, where Sanders is gonna start the first half and then Watson come in for the third quarter.
- 21:17[SPEAKER_02]: Ryan, let's get your take.
- 21:18[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean, Bruce, I don't think there was anything outside of Shidorah Sanders looking like Tom Brady that they were going to make to put him above to Shonawatts.
- 21:24[SPEAKER_00]: And do I think to Shonawatts and was better than Shidorah?
- 21:28[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe because it resulted in more points, but was I moved it all by his performance?
- 21:31[SPEAKER_00]: Absolutely not, Bruce.
- 21:33[SPEAKER_00]: I want to score, it's kind of sounds ironic because the Sean did score points and Shador didn't, but that style of play that we saw from to Sean Watts and the short dinking dump.
- 21:42[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, he had one nice throw to Casey.
- 21:43[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, Harold Fainan dropped that ball, but Bruce, he's holding on to the ball three plus seconds in an average depth of target was sub four.
- 21:49[SPEAKER_00]: You're not scoring points in the NFL doing that.
- 21:51[SPEAKER_00]: Shador Sanders is at least willing to sling the rock, and I think that boads well for the Browns.
- 21:55[SPEAKER_00]: offense in a boat's well for your young playmakers in their development in Casey and and Denzel Boston.
- 22:01[SPEAKER_00]: So clearly, I'm still on.
- 22:02[SPEAKER_00]: I want should order to start, but I understand it's going to be to Sean.
- 22:05[SPEAKER_01]: And especially you got to wonder what the plays are going to look like on Saturday for Shador.
- 22:09[SPEAKER_01]: You're going to give them the same plays as Watson.
- 22:11[SPEAKER_01]: So you have one to one comparison or you're going to lean more into Shador.
- 22:14[SPEAKER_01]: You know, Bruce and Ryan, I talked about in yesterday's show about the joint practice today.
- 22:18[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm going to head out there right after the show and just try to see how it goes because I wondered,
- 22:23[SPEAKER_01]: So many coaches put more emphasis now on the joint practice is more than the preseason games.
- 22:28[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe we need to read into Todd Monkey naming Shador the starter, not for Saturday, but for today.
- 22:34[SPEAKER_01]: And he gets to go out there for the joint practice against the bills starters in practice with the Brown starters.
- 22:42[SPEAKER_01]: That's maybe something that Todd Monkey is kind of working on here with this announcement or this decision to go with Shador here in Game 2.
- 22:53[SPEAKER_02]: the in-game interview that Watson did, um, what was that female reporter, I think it's good by the way, but I thought Watson really came off well.
- 23:08[SPEAKER_02]: He showed personality, he showed leadership, he showed experience, I really liked the way he came off and that in-game interview with her.
- 23:17[SPEAKER_01]: Well some people are upset with him, Bruce, because he had his media availability yesterday and the question was asked, how are you going to react if Cleveland fans boo you on Saturday when you go in and he said, I don't care.
- 23:27[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm like, I get both sides of it.
- 23:29[SPEAKER_02]: We're what he's he going to say, you know, but yeah, some people, you know, I'm going to not get any sleep or I think he's got to be professional.
- 23:36[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, he's got to block that out.
- 23:39[SPEAKER_02]: Well, I guess he could have been a better.
- 23:40[SPEAKER_02]: I think he's also preparing himself for the inevitable.
- 23:42[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I'm sure.
- 23:42[SPEAKER_01]: Well, yeah, I'm sure it will.
- 23:44[SPEAKER_01]: And that's the the hard part of this whole thing is the Browns of search for a quarterback and like whatever the option might be if it should or Watson, there's all this bag is out or still there.
- 23:53[SPEAKER_01]: And I think I speak for most Browns fans and I probably speak for the Sean Watson.
- 23:57[SPEAKER_01]: We all can't wait for this to be over.
- 23:59[SPEAKER_01]: We just can.
- 24:00[SPEAKER_01]: And it's going to be after this year.
- 24:02[SPEAKER_01]: I'm sure he's going to try to continue his career somewhere else.
- 24:04[SPEAKER_01]: There will be somebody else that picks him up.
- 24:06[SPEAKER_01]: I can almost guarantee it.
- 24:07[SPEAKER_01]: And we can just all start to move forward.
- 24:09[SPEAKER_01]: I'm sure that's I know that's the best for the Sean and I know it's the best for the franchise in the fan base.
- 24:14[SPEAKER_02]: I could save this tidbit for the regular season, but I came across it so I thought I'd share it
- 24:26[SPEAKER_02]: The Browns have played 26 away games coming off in a way game.
- 24:34[SPEAKER_02]: The record's 2 and 24, just a little tidbit.
- 24:39[SPEAKER_02]: I also want to point out, I watched the whole thing, and I watched the post game.
- 24:46[SPEAKER_02]: And who the heck was the producer at Channel 5?
- 24:53[SPEAKER_02]: that allowed, you know, here we're getting the post-game press conference from Coach Munkin.
- 25:00[SPEAKER_02]: I'm into it.
- 25:01[SPEAKER_02]: I want to hear what he says.
- 25:03[SPEAKER_02]: I want to hear what he says about Watson.
- 25:04[SPEAKER_02]: I want to hear what he says about Santa.
- 25:07[SPEAKER_02]: And they cut it with the produce.
- 25:08[SPEAKER_02]: That's a producers call a television, by the way, not the director.
- 25:12[SPEAKER_02]: The producer orders the director what to punch up the switchers, the guy who does the actual switching.
- 25:19[SPEAKER_02]: But it's the producer ordering the director and that's a way it works in television in the truck in the booth wherever they are.
- 25:26[SPEAKER_02]: The producer's call was to break away in the middle of Munkin's post-game press conference, what an avance name is the matter with them.
- 25:34[SPEAKER_02]: You can sell your shoes or candy or beer, whatever you do.
- 25:38[SPEAKER_02]: You don't come on.
- 25:39[SPEAKER_02]: This is Brown's Town.
- 25:42[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, people do love like I know there are plenty of the stations and town that run long form practice sound and people want to listen.
- 25:48[SPEAKER_01]: And they want to hear what the coaches have to say as well.
- 25:51[SPEAKER_01]: And especially because all of us are kind of searching for the same thing, Bruce.
- 25:55[SPEAKER_01]: It's a little insight to what Todd Munkin is thinking about with Watson and Shidorin.
- 26:02[SPEAKER_02]: And a joke because immediately after the most anticipated game, the first preseason game.
- 26:07[SPEAKER_01]: Well, and especially Monkin and Stifansky have the same trait as almost every NFL head coach.
- 26:13[SPEAKER_01]: They don't say anything.
- 26:15[SPEAKER_01]: Now they do it much differently on how they don't say anything Todd is a little more that's really not the point though Yeah, you know that.
- 26:24[SPEAKER_02]: No, yeah still hearing from the head coach following the first game
- 26:31[SPEAKER_01]: because he talks more than Stephane.
- 26:33[SPEAKER_01]: So that's really what you would just shut stuff down.
- 26:35[SPEAKER_01]: Monk can actually talk.
- 26:37[SPEAKER_01]: So there's more of an opportunity for him to kind of drop a little tidbit or figure something up.
- 26:42[SPEAKER_01]: Stephane, it's huge, just like we got to be better.
- 26:44[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yeah.
- 26:44[SPEAKER_02]: So it that bothered me that they did that.
- 26:46[SPEAKER_02]: And hopefully they'll get the message and at least air it.
- 26:49[SPEAKER_02]: And it's entirety.
- 26:50[SPEAKER_02]: And it's not like these guys are going to go for 25 minutes.
- 26:53[SPEAKER_02]: You know.
- 26:54[SPEAKER_02]: Heck, when Bellachek was here, our Monday, our traditional Monday press conference is sometimes we're going to less than five minutes.
- 27:01[SPEAKER_02]: I remember one time, a colleague of mine asked Bellachek, we were in those days, I had to cover every press conference.
- 27:08[SPEAKER_02]: And I think God, I don't know.
- 27:10[SPEAKER_02]: But Bellachek was up there, and my colleague said, we play the press conference at only
- 27:22[SPEAKER_02]: We place Cincinnati next week coach.
- 27:24[SPEAKER_02]: What can you tell us about them and Bellachick went Kind of a question is that and he got up and walked out
- 27:33[SPEAKER_02]: and you wonder why, and you go down the most successful NFL coach of all time, over Lombard, over George, Alice, over Shula, over Ragnolo, over everybody, but you wonder why we in the media thought he was such a colossal jerk when he was here.
- 27:50[SPEAKER_02]: He was a little better when he went to New England, but that's because he was winning Super Bulls.
- 27:54[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that helps a little bit.
- 27:55[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, listen, I wonder what gets you guys takes on some things going on around the NFL.
- 28:02[SPEAKER_02]: I understand that Aaron Darnold is working out with the Rams, so we've always suspected that this might be a possibility that he teams up with Miles Garrett now that apparently they say there's no timeline, but is this inevitable that he's going to be the other?
- 28:20[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah, I mean, Sean McVeigh even got a letter to slip on spruce, they're just kind of waiting for Aaron Darnold to make it, and I'm actually a little surprised.
- 28:29[SPEAKER_01]: that he wants to play the full season the reports are he he's not trying to sign an october you know come in for the run here he wants to play you know he's going to be there in the sense yeah and then we'll just see no
- 28:41[SPEAKER_02]: He was so fused me.
- 28:42[SPEAKER_00]: I don't, I look it up real quickly at Bruce, but Aaron Donald, Aaron Donald remember, after that Super Bowl, he retired very early, nobody 35.
- 28:49[SPEAKER_00]: Like just turned 35.
- 28:51[SPEAKER_00]: So he's only 35.
- 28:52[SPEAKER_02]: Well, and the other thing, he still up there and especially for that position.
- 28:55[SPEAKER_01]: Well, he's talking about a specimen.
- 28:58[SPEAKER_01]: He kept himself in shape, you know, the way that he, he didn't look like the rest of some of these detacals in football, like the guys at tank.
- 29:04[SPEAKER_01]: So he, I think he kept him up his self in shape because he could feed them double washers.
- 29:11[SPEAKER_01]: And then the idea of yeah, getting miles like this could be last piece, but here's the other thing.
- 29:15[SPEAKER_01]: They got to sign into a contract like he's still when he retired.
- 29:18[SPEAKER_01]: They retained his rights, but there's reports.
- 29:20[SPEAKER_01]: They might give him a two year deal with a lot of guaranteed money for him to come back out and just be the last piece of that.
- 29:27[SPEAKER_02]: They're caught favorite.
- 29:29[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, they have to be not.
- 29:30[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, they have to be.
- 29:31[SPEAKER_02]: All right, let me throw another one to Drew Aller out of Medina High School and Penn State, somebody asked me the other day on the golf course, what did you think of Aller now with Pittsburgh at Penn State and I said, well, a Penn State, I give them a pass because I think Franklin ruined the day suck.
- 29:48[SPEAKER_02]: And did you know how Franklin recruited him at Medina?
- 29:52[SPEAKER_01]: No.
- 29:53[SPEAKER_02]: Ohio State didn't show interest in Aller.
- 29:57[SPEAKER_02]: Franklin flew to Cleveland rented a helicopter on a Friday when Medina High School was playing at home and helicopter didn't.
- 30:06[SPEAKER_02]: I remember that.
- 30:07[SPEAKER_02]: That's right.
- 30:07[SPEAKER_02]: You remember that?
- 30:10[SPEAKER_02]: Obviously, I made quite an impression.
- 30:12[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 30:12[SPEAKER_02]: But Alar had a great game preseason.
- 30:16[SPEAKER_02]: Of course, he's battling Will Howard and Aaron Rogers and Mason Roodoff, but you guys with your take on that.
- 30:23[SPEAKER_00]: I love drill.
- 30:24[SPEAKER_00]: I love them coming out again.
- 30:25[SPEAKER_00]: You don't really develop or excuse me.
- 30:27[SPEAKER_00]: You draft traits, right?
- 30:29[SPEAKER_00]: You don't really draft production.
- 30:30[SPEAKER_00]: Then he had a rough last year at Penn State.
- 30:32[SPEAKER_00]: But what?
- 30:34[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think it's a better position.
- 30:35[SPEAKER_00]: He could be in learning under Mike McCarthy with a year of tutelage under Aaron Rogers, right?
- 30:39[SPEAKER_00]: And to go into a team with such a rich culture of winning and development.
- 30:44[SPEAKER_00]: I wouldn't be surprised, Bruce, if he is the Arab parent to Aaron Rodgers, and I'm not saying he's going to have that type of career.
- 30:49[SPEAKER_00]: But I think he is in the best possible situation, and maybe that bad year at Penn State, where he went back and could have been a first round pick.
- 30:56[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe I was a blessing in disguise for him, honestly.
- 30:58[SPEAKER_02]: I thought maybe Howard would have progressed more than apparently he has it.
- 31:01[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I just think drillers more talented.
- 31:03[SPEAKER_01]: I do too, you know, and that's, I know Will Howard won a national championship at Ohio State,
- 31:08[SPEAKER_01]: I mean that at the end of day two that the the Steelers are doing the smart thing.
- 31:12[SPEAKER_01]: They've got one year left of Aaron Rodgers He said this is my last goes my last year So you put yourself in this in in this basket of okay Develop all Howard and practice develop Dr. Aller and then come the draft next year wherever you're picking With all these quarterbacks that are still coming out.
- 31:29[SPEAKER_01]: They're gonna even without game Reps they're gonna know deep down if they have something to work with
- 31:37[SPEAKER_01]: with Drawer and Will Howard.
- 31:39[SPEAKER_01]: They're doing this smart thing that a lot of other teams did.
- 31:42[SPEAKER_01]: When you have your franchise guy, go draft some back, especially older franchise guys.
- 31:47[SPEAKER_01]: You don't need anybody to back up Justin Herbert right now.
- 31:49[SPEAKER_01]: You don't really have that with Patrick Mahomes, but they had Alex Smith.
- 31:53[SPEAKER_01]: They draft Patrick Mahomes, Rogers when he was in Green Bay.
- 31:55[SPEAKER_01]: They draft Jordan love.
- 31:57[SPEAKER_01]: There's all those smart things to do.
- 31:59[SPEAKER_01]: And that's what the Steelers did.
- 32:00[SPEAKER_01]: And again, at the end of the end of this season,
- 32:03[SPEAKER_01]: they're going to know internally, I don't think us, but internally, they're going to have an idea, can we turn this over to either Joralor or Will Howard or do we need to go find that quarterback in the first round, which everybody else is going to be sneaking and go get it smart, it really is.
- 32:17[SPEAKER_02]: How about Fernando Mendosa's debut with Las Vegas?
- 32:20[SPEAKER_02]: Of course, the great All-American and National Champion out of Indiana with Signetti.
- 32:25[SPEAKER_02]: He had a very good game touchdown drive versus Arizona against a first string defense.
- 32:31[SPEAKER_02]: So he could have win that first string job to get a start this season as a rookie.
- 32:35[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think so.
- 32:36[SPEAKER_01]: I think they're doing the right thing though.
- 32:37[SPEAKER_01]: I'd sit him.
- 32:37[SPEAKER_01]: I'd sit him.
- 32:38[SPEAKER_01]: Start Kirk Cousins.
- 32:39[SPEAKER_01]: There's no reason to rush for nanomendosa.
- 32:41[SPEAKER_01]: And the thing is you got to remember what I always bring up the Drake may example because that's my favorite example.
- 32:47[SPEAKER_01]: They started you Kobe Percent until Drake may was ready.
- 32:50[SPEAKER_01]: It didn't matter about what you Kobe Percent was doing.
- 32:54[SPEAKER_01]: This is in the same unless Kirk Cousins gets you out to a five and one record in their first six games and he's throwing the ball everyone It looks great you know you're gonna play Mendoza and you're gonna play Mendoza when he's ready to go and the difference is with a lot of these quarterbacks that I that I look at
- 33:12[SPEAKER_01]: is their level of competition in college.
- 33:14[SPEAKER_01]: Fernando Mendoza ran through some of the best of the best.
- 33:19[SPEAKER_01]: Now you still got to remember there's a gap that you're going to have between the best of the best in college and even the worst of the worst in the NFL.
- 33:25[SPEAKER_01]: It's no competition there.
- 33:27[SPEAKER_01]: But I just think preparing him to say, listen, you faced NFL future draft picks all throughout your career at Indiana.
- 33:37[SPEAKER_01]: You're already a step ahead of some of these other quarterbacks, right?
- 33:40[SPEAKER_01]: Let's take this slow.
- 33:41[SPEAKER_01]: Let's get you in the offense.
- 33:43[SPEAKER_01]: Let's get your timing down.
- 33:45[SPEAKER_01]: And when you are ready, not whatever Kirk Cousins is doing and borderline him be in plain like an MVP.
- 33:51[SPEAKER_01]: When you're ready, this job is yours.
- 33:53[SPEAKER_01]: I love that.
- 33:54[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's them.
- 33:54[SPEAKER_01]: And again, I would echo that to the Browns next year with whatever quarterback we figure out.
- 33:59[SPEAKER_01]: I'd say, follow that plan.
- 34:00[SPEAKER_01]: That is the plan of success right there.
- 34:02[SPEAKER_01]: So I like what they're doing with that.
- 34:04[SPEAKER_02]: A couple of other young quarterbacks making their Mark Ty Simpson, of course, is trying to win the backup position to Stafford at L.A. with the Rams.
- 34:11[SPEAKER_02]: He's up against Stetson Bennett and Simpson had a very good first game.
- 34:16[SPEAKER_02]: And it shows the Rams, you know, because that was a controversial pick.
- 34:20[SPEAKER_02]: by them in that first round.
- 34:22[SPEAKER_02]: And so is he the heir apparent also kind of a Murray in Minnesota obviously the clerk got choice formerly of Arizona and the demise of JJ McCarty.
- 34:35[SPEAKER_01]: a lot of people pilot on Bruce about J.G.
- 34:37[SPEAKER_01]: McCarthy, his stats and Michigan pre-imposed the Connor stallion situation.
- 34:42[SPEAKER_01]: So he threw what three passes in a big 10 championship game.
- 34:46[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and it's a surprise.
- 34:47[SPEAKER_00]: He's not good in the right.
- 34:48[SPEAKER_01]: I get it.
- 34:48[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and then that was another thing.
- 34:50[SPEAKER_01]: A lot of people brought up to about him.
- 34:52[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, the only other interesting thing is like that is a move that should have.
- 34:57[SPEAKER_01]: buried Minnesota for years and they're like, well, we found Sam Donald and like, I don't know what they'll get out of Kyla Murray.
- 35:04[SPEAKER_02]: I wonder, you know, we should try to research Ryan what the reaction was by the Minnesota fans with the departure of Darrell.
- 35:14[SPEAKER_00]: go ahead and watch what he didn't see at all they were pissed they were pissed well some fans welcomed it they said I don't care about the regular season he his worst games were weak I believe the last week of the playoffs and the of the regular season the playoff game they were really that mad in hindsight of course they are but at the time they were fine with giving it to him at the good point because I don't agree did yes he could agree that was the right
- 35:38[SPEAKER_01]: And the other thing is you have a conference in Kevin O'Connell because he is one of the best coaches in the NFL.
- 35:43[SPEAKER_01]: They built a system there.
- 35:44[SPEAKER_01]: They've got playmakers left and right everywhere on that offense.
- 35:48[SPEAKER_01]: And I think that's why this Kyler Murray moved Bruce.
- 35:50[SPEAKER_01]: I heard somebody talking about this.
- 35:51[SPEAKER_01]: They go, they just want to quarterback to play in the system.
- 35:54[SPEAKER_01]: They're not asking Kyler Murray to be the air raid offense.
- 35:57[SPEAKER_01]: Like he was at Oklahoma.
- 35:58[SPEAKER_01]: They just want him to get the ball to Justin Jefferson.
- 36:02[SPEAKER_00]: Get the ball to Jordan Madison.
- 36:08[SPEAKER_02]: Bears and Caleb Williams and the Packers and love and Detroit.
- 36:13[SPEAKER_02]: I think Campbell's really on the hot seat if he doesn't do with this year Yeah, anyway, that wraps up our our pro football segment We're gonna shift to the Guardians and baseball when we return speaking to baseball daily dingers on fan do you want to do a real quick
- 36:27[SPEAKER_01]: We're here.

- 37:52[SPEAKER_02]: Well, before we get our baseball segment started, speaking of baseball a couple of weeks ago, and I didn't mention this last week, I had the privilege of once again being invited by Youngstown State University to be the interviewer of their baseball fundraiser.
- 38:11[SPEAKER_02]: They always bring in a big name.
- 38:12[SPEAKER_02]: We've had Kenny Loft and Darrell Strawberry, Charlie Nagy, last year we had Andrew Jones.
- 38:19[SPEAKER_02]: This year they brought in Gary Sheffield.
- 38:21[SPEAKER_02]: and on stage I interview him and then I take a wireless spike and go into the audience and let the fans ask him questions and I got to tell you, Chef Field was so down to Earth and so great with the fans and
- 38:36[SPEAKER_02]: great golfer by the way he's a member of Jordan's exclusive 23 golf course the golf club private golf club in the Miami area.
- 38:45[SPEAKER_02]: So but I founded with Gary and we're going to have him on the show Ryan.
- 38:50[SPEAKER_02]: So I'll give you that information for coming.
- 38:52[SPEAKER_01]: As a child of the 90s, everybody did that Gary Shuffy.
- 38:56[SPEAKER_02]: Everybody had that back on everybody tried that.
- 38:58[SPEAKER_01]: Talked about how we got into that.
- 39:01[SPEAKER_01]: And timing back.
- 39:02[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I'm waiting till we interview.
- 39:04[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yeah.
- 39:05[SPEAKER_02]: But you know what I loved most about him.
- 39:06[SPEAKER_02]: And I pointed this out.
- 39:08[SPEAKER_02]: He ripped it pictures man.
- 39:10[SPEAKER_02]: He never got cheated.
- 39:12[SPEAKER_02]: He's one of the few guys that you could say he looked good when he struck off.
- 39:17[SPEAKER_02]: All right, one of the nothing San Francisco is Matt said eight left on base an offer seven with runners and scoring position poor parker mess like six and two thirds one run six hits.
- 39:28[SPEAKER_02]: No walks again double digits strikeouts with ten.
- 39:31[SPEAKER_02]: He's nine and eight is that deceiving or what guys.
- 39:32[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, yeah, two point five four E. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 39:44[SPEAKER_02]: Here's a real telling statistic about why this offense has struggled so mightily.
- 39:53[SPEAKER_02]: This year, in 94 games, Jose Ramirez is hitting 238 with 10 homers and 38 RBIs.
- 40:00[SPEAKER_02]: Last year, he hit 283 with 30 Homer's and 85 RBIs.
- 40:03[SPEAKER_02]: In 24, 279 with 39 Homer's and 118 RBIs.
- 40:05[SPEAKER_02]: In 23, 282, 24 Homer's, 80 RBIs, and 228, 29 Homer's, a 126 RBIs, and in 21, 266, 36 Homer's, a 133 RBIs.
- 40:25[SPEAKER_01]: you can't you can't replace those stats yeah and i get it because the injury they've been injured at times trying to kind of flood the lineup my buddy sent me this from genre rosy tubers the guardians lost eight games this season that parcromestic came up one or two uh eight games that he gave up one or two runs the team lost those games he's a future sion king oh he's so good in the pot I love him
- 40:52[SPEAKER_01]: Oh god, let it out, let it out, let it out, let it out, oh god, let it out, oh god, let it out, oh god, oh god, oh god, oh god, oh god, oh god, oh god, oh god, oh god, oh god, oh god, oh god, oh god, oh god, oh god, oh god, oh god, oh god, oh god, oh god, oh god, oh god, oh god, oh god, oh god, oh god, oh god, oh god, oh god, oh god, oh god, oh god, oh god, oh god, oh god, oh god, oh god, oh god, oh god, oh god, oh god, oh god, oh god, oh god, oh god, oh god, oh god, oh god, oh god, oh god, oh god, oh god, oh god, oh god, oh god, oh god, oh god, oh god, oh god, oh god, oh god, oh god, oh god, oh
- 41:14[SPEAKER_01]: God, do I hate this team?
- 41:16[SPEAKER_01]: I can't stand it anymore.
- 41:18[SPEAKER_01]: Like you get runners to second base with nobody out you score that run.
- 41:24[SPEAKER_01]: That is fundamental on the game.
- 41:27[SPEAKER_01]: I'm looking at vote.
- 41:28[SPEAKER_01]: I'm looking at the hitters.
- 41:29[SPEAKER_01]: It is pathetic to watch this team play right now.
- 41:33[SPEAKER_01]: It's like they don't care.
- 41:35[SPEAKER_01]: It it looks like they don't.
- 41:37[SPEAKER_01]: I know that they do and the problem is now that they are grinding when they get up there You got guys that are up for their first year or second year in the majors and you're looking at them going I better pull us out of this hole right now.
- 41:50[SPEAKER_01]: It's not fair It's not fair and you might be saying out what's the point why you getting all worked up?
- 41:55[SPEAKER_01]: Where are they gonna do in the playoffs?
- 41:56[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just talking about it is unwatchable, some nights with this team, how frustrated I get, and it comes from a place that I love them.
- 42:07[SPEAKER_01]: I love the browns, I love the calves, I love Ohio State.
- 42:09[SPEAKER_01]: There will always be something special in my heart about that baseball team, and I'll never not root for them, but it is the most painful watch of my life watching them play baseball.
- 42:26[SPEAKER_01]: I can't stop.
- 42:27[SPEAKER_01]: I'm gonna be watching him at one ten this afternoon and then we got to go to By the way, thanks to the schedule makers for that.
- 42:34[SPEAKER_01]: We get done with a three game set We got a fly out to Colorado.
- 42:37[SPEAKER_01]: It's not like we could have played.
- 42:38[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know on Monday Tuesday and had the off day today It's just oh my god, and especially this stretch too
- 42:44[SPEAKER_01]: where Bruce, I said this with these three games against the Giants, three in Colorado, and three against the Angels, I need a date and one.
- 42:52[SPEAKER_01]: Seven and two at worst.
- 42:54[SPEAKER_01]: And you just, hmm, I can't say it on the air.
- 42:58[SPEAKER_01]: You just blank away that game yesterday.
- 43:01[SPEAKER_01]: When you need it, when you're in this tight of a wild card, it's, and by the way, you're getting help.
- 43:07[SPEAKER_01]: you're getting health the pirates beat the tiger's guest today on a walkoff home run you're getting the help and it's like I want to um i just it's so i'm so angry i have to have to reveal to the audience that uh
- 43:22[SPEAKER_02]: Matt started this rant off the air during the break.
- 43:25[SPEAKER_02]: Oh my god, I was like, you believe me.
- 43:27[SPEAKER_02]: I'm a blood pressure pills.
- 43:28[SPEAKER_02]: You want to be careful as young a man as you have.
- 43:30[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, some of those guy borrowers.
- 43:32[SPEAKER_02]: I like these.
- 43:33[SPEAKER_02]: I remember when I was first came to Cleveland and I was ranting like Matt was in a guy called up and he said, you're going to have a heart attack.
- 43:40[SPEAKER_01]: You're never going to make it to 35. Who would have thought the guardians had said to the Browns giving me heart attacks over here was the guards, not the Browns.
- 43:46[SPEAKER_02]: What Matt is saying, closing out the month of August against San Francisco, Colorado, LA angels and Kansas City, four or the five worst records in all of baseball, going into this week the guards are second the last in the majors in OPS, that's on-base percentage and slugging a percentage.
- 44:03[SPEAKER_02]: And the guards rank fifth in walk rate, but fourth worst batting average in the major leagues.
- 44:11[SPEAKER_02]: and the guardians are second to last in home runs with only 120.
- 44:15[SPEAKER_02]: Outside of Joe Adele's, no, outside of Joe Adele, no guardians player has 15 home runs and low only has 14.
- 44:26[SPEAKER_02]: By the way, we're last in home runs, uh, uh, mill what the last in home runs, you'll be amazed, mill walking.
- 44:33[SPEAKER_02]: Mill walking of all teams is last.
- 44:35[SPEAKER_02]: I would say this, um, to matters I did during the break.
- 44:40[SPEAKER_02]: Bazana, the water, her now, Martinez, Watson, they're all rookies.
- 44:46[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I can understand Matt's frustration, your frustration.
- 44:52[SPEAKER_02]: But you know what?
- 44:53[SPEAKER_02]: With this pitching and these young players developing and what I pointed out about Jose if he comes back next year, healthy and his old self, I can hardly wait till next year.
- 45:04[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I am excited.
- 45:05[SPEAKER_01]: And that is the, I was talking with Carlos about this yesterday two Bruce, New York Perfect person and talk about this two is number one, even just the lineup as frustrated as I am with them and runners and scoring position.
- 45:17[SPEAKER_01]: This is the best that I felt about this lineup in years.
- 45:21[SPEAKER_01]: And they're all pretty much going to be here next year.
- 45:23[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe not in a thing alone.
- 45:25[SPEAKER_01]: We'll see how that goes.
- 45:25[SPEAKER_01]: Whatever, Adele is going to be here.
- 45:27[SPEAKER_01]: All the rookies are going to be here.
- 45:28[SPEAKER_01]: Young guys are going to be here.
- 45:30[SPEAKER_01]: And then we're talking
- 45:33[SPEAKER_01]: When is the last time that you know pretty unacquivocally who you're starting three outfielders are going to be I know the water's injured Center between help in or on hell Martinez will see kind of how that goes But this is the best outfield that they have had in quite a few guys because Ryan I'll bring Ryan in on this too You guys still want to turn feather quad
- 45:51[SPEAKER_01]: No, I told you, I will, I will see, I was, I was never on that wave.
- 45:57[SPEAKER_01]: No, you, I was, you know I was and he has proven me wrong.
- 46:02[SPEAKER_01]: Now we start wondering is there an extension back on the table where does he feel like, with that, uh, a looming.
- 46:09[SPEAKER_02]: Workstoppage.
- 46:10[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 46:11[SPEAKER_02]: I thought antennae and turn off made the right call this last off season, not offering him a big extension.
- 46:18[SPEAKER_02]: And especially after the first half of the season where he mightily struggled, but with that lockout looming, I don't know if I'd be anxious to give him a big extension.
- 46:27[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 46:28[SPEAKER_02]: But we shall see fellas, Tommy John passed away.
- 46:33[SPEAKER_02]: 83 years old.
- 46:36[SPEAKER_02]: He debuted in September of 1963, what guess who?
- 46:40[SPEAKER_02]: Cleveland.
- 46:42[SPEAKER_02]: Trader of the Chicago White Sachs for a three team eight player trade that brought a guy by the name of Rocky, Colorado, and Cleveland from Kansas City.
- 46:54[SPEAKER_02]: 65 through 71 in Chicago, he posted a 2.95 ERA.
- 46:58[SPEAKER_02]: Average 213 innings.
- 47:04[SPEAKER_02]: Traded to the L.A. Dodgers for Richie Allen.
- 47:08[SPEAKER_02]: Is Harry Carey used to say?
- 47:10[SPEAKER_02]: That was in 1971.
- 47:11[SPEAKER_02]: He went 40 and 15 with a 2.89 ERA, 72 through 74 in L.A. On July 17, 1974, John felt some pain in his elbow.
- 47:18[SPEAKER_02]: He was 31 years old.
- 47:19[SPEAKER_02]: L.A.'s doctor back then was a guy
- 47:35[SPEAKER_02]: He suggested experimental surgery, taking a tendon and placing it in that elbow.
- 47:44[SPEAKER_02]: The surgery made medical and baseball history.
- 47:51[SPEAKER_02]: John returned to baseball in 1976, and he finished in the top eight and the Saoy Young Voting from 77 to 80.
- 47:59[SPEAKER_02]: Run her up the Steve Carlton and Matt Flanagan in 77, and then in 79.
- 48:05[SPEAKER_02]: World Series in 77 and 78 with the L.A. Dodgers and the New York Yankees in 81.
- 48:11[SPEAKER_02]: With his new arm, he pitched till 1989, 26 years.
- 48:15[SPEAKER_02]: 46 years old he was.
- 48:20[SPEAKER_02]: 288 victories, 3.34 ERA, 4,710 and a third innings of pitch.
- 48:30[SPEAKER_02]: That's the 20th most all time.
- 48:34[SPEAKER_02]: 26 seasons is the third most all time to cap, antson and Nolan Ryan who played in 27 each.
- 48:42[SPEAKER_02]: There's no question that Tommy John should be in the Hall of Fame.
- 48:46[SPEAKER_02]: Tommy John Surgery has saved and prolonged hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of careers.
- 48:58[SPEAKER_02]: Tommy John dead at the age of 83.

- 49:50[SPEAKER_00]: Be a new segment.
- 49:51[SPEAKER_00]: It's kind of self-explanatory here Bruce, but it's called.
- 49:54[SPEAKER_00]: Bruce versed the internet.
- 49:56[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to give you some tweets that people put out.
- 49:58[SPEAKER_00]: Bruce, you know, the drill you've done this before, you're going to react to him.
- 50:01[SPEAKER_00]: So let's go first to tweet here.
- 50:03[SPEAKER_00]: Nick Fink tweeted about the Guardians.
- 50:05[SPEAKER_00]: They won't fire Stephen vote, but they absolutely should not ready to be a big league manager needs to go be a bench coach for a few years and try again.
- 50:14[SPEAKER_00]: Can't handle the day today of this job.
- 50:18[SPEAKER_02]: Where have you been the last two years?
- 50:20[SPEAKER_02]: My god, last year, that comeback was the most historical comeback in the history of baseball for God's sakes.
- 50:29[SPEAKER_02]: You know, head, the Indians not hired vote.
- 50:34[SPEAKER_02]: He would have been snatched up by another team that had a vacancy for their managerial post like that.
- 50:41[SPEAKER_02]: So I would, I don't know if there's any hope for you, sir.
- 50:46[SPEAKER_02]: I really don't.
- 50:48[SPEAKER_01]: shout out to Nick because he helped me with a card shop for my kid the other day too.
- 50:51[SPEAKER_01]: So I shot my only thing on vote was like the Matt Festa usage and I think he's starting to reel that back in the lineup card.
- 50:58[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I know people want to freak out about it.
- 51:00[SPEAKER_01]: It does same thing happen with Terry.
- 51:02[SPEAKER_01]: The analytics crew knows who's pitching.
- 51:05[SPEAKER_01]: They come to the manager and they say this is kind of what we suggest.
- 51:09[SPEAKER_01]: right like this is what we think it's going to tear it for a quote and did the same thing so like the lineup when you got guys injured there's some in-game things but overall i'm fine yeah well i said the most important move that the the indians made when they hired vote was retaining carol what
- 51:25[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, oh yeah, because he's arguably the best pitching coach in the major league and they have him at a rookie manager side even though Volt was a great You know, catchers make the best managers.
- 51:34[SPEAKER_02]: They say historically.
- 51:36[SPEAKER_02]: I think that's proven.
- 51:37[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, but It come fifth inning six thinning is where Willas became so valuable the vote when he first started off
- 51:44[SPEAKER_00]: All right.
- 51:44[SPEAKER_00]: Let's go to the Browns now.
- 51:45[SPEAKER_00]: You guys know who this is.
- 51:46[SPEAKER_00]: So RG3, Robert Griffin, the third.
- 51:49[SPEAKER_00]: It's a little long, I'll kind of summarize it.
- 51:51[SPEAKER_00]: He says he's convinced the Browns never had any intention to start should or Sanders, but this is really where the take comes in.
- 51:56[SPEAKER_00]: He said, the Browns could have saved the locker room and fans from a lot of unnecessary noise from the media by just declaring that they plan to start to Sean Watson no matter what.
- 52:07[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, yeah.
- 52:09[SPEAKER_02]: happen to agree with them.
- 52:11[SPEAKER_02]: Because I think it's inevitable that they got to go with Watson for all of the aforementioned reasons that we have spewed forth here on the show.
- 52:20[SPEAKER_02]: Experience gets something for your money gives us the best chance of winning.
- 52:24[SPEAKER_02]: But that's a short least leash man.
- 52:27[SPEAKER_01]: No, and I think the the Shidor fans that are out there by having the competition you at least gave them that.
- 52:35[SPEAKER_01]: If you did just named Watson, you'd still have people complaining and moaning about why you didn't give Shidor a chance.
- 52:40[SPEAKER_01]: Now, do I think that this competition has been a little rigged for Dishon Watson?
- 52:45[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, do I think it's been leaning towards him from the start?
- 52:47[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, but also you least left the door open for Shidorah to take advantage of it.
- 52:53[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think he has, I think they did it more to calm some people down, but yeah, I do think this competition.
- 52:57[SPEAKER_02]: And make a competition.
- 52:58[SPEAKER_02]: A competition of practice.
- 53:00[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I keep him involved, like, proved to the team, which got to remember to Todd Monk and still got to win that locker room over.
- 53:06[SPEAKER_01]: And I think even with people in there that maybe you're on one side or the other, at least have that competition to kind of calm some things down.
- 53:12[SPEAKER_00]: Already next one, back to the dime, and this one's from Lamole, he goes by on Twitter.
- 53:17[SPEAKER_00]: I don't want the Guardians half-assing this inevitable firing of their offensive staff.
- 53:22[SPEAKER_00]: I need to complete overall of the entire bleeping thing top down.
- 53:26[SPEAKER_00]: Ransack offices from Cleveland, Lynchburg, from Akron, Arizona, tear the entire bleeping thing to the ground, start over.
- 53:35[SPEAKER_02]: Santa Clute Anthony churn off in the front office as well, the scouting system, which is rated as one of the best in the major leagues.
- 53:43[SPEAKER_02]: Again, I marvel at some of the intellect that goes into these statements when it comes to the guardians and baseball.
- 53:53[SPEAKER_02]: What is it that the staff that Bobby D throws out there all the time outside of the Dodgers and the Yankees, the Indians and the guardians now have won more games in the last 10 years than any other major.
- 54:04[SPEAKER_01]: it's a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a
- 54:21[SPEAKER_01]: So it's here in the calves that includes a player option for 2028 and 2029.
- 54:28[SPEAKER_01]: So this sounds like again very much a two-year deal with I would imagine he's going to pick up that player option.
- 54:34[SPEAKER_01]: Then there's a trade kicker involved in that as well.
- 54:39[SPEAKER_01]: Now the thing got to remember about the money, there are little ham strung so that's probably a little more money on the back end of those two-year deals.
- 54:45[SPEAKER_01]: But again,
- 54:46[SPEAKER_01]: coming out from shams tyranny of two minutes ago.
- 54:49[SPEAKER_01]: James Harden is agreed to a new three or ninety seven million dollar contract to return for the calves, including a play option in twenty twenty.
- 54:56[SPEAKER_01]: What did I see?
- 54:57[SPEAKER_01]: Thirty five minutes ago.
- 54:59[SPEAKER_01]: I was like, you got this money.
- 55:00[SPEAKER_01]: Now you're freed up to I guess Kobe must have been watching the show.
- 55:04[SPEAKER_01]: We appreciate that.
- 55:05[SPEAKER_01]: Well, we knew that Harden was going to be the last time, right?
- 55:08[SPEAKER_01]: You got watching.
- 55:09[SPEAKER_01]: You got the money.
- 55:10[SPEAKER_01]: This is the last time.
- 55:11[SPEAKER_02]: So it shouldn't be a big surprise to us.
- 55:14[SPEAKER_00]: No.
- 55:14[SPEAKER_00]: All right.
- 55:15[SPEAKER_00]: Good for James Harden.
- 55:16[SPEAKER_00]: The last one, Bruce.
- 55:18[SPEAKER_00]: He didn't actually tweet this out, so I appreciate the dogs.
- 55:21[SPEAKER_00]: Brown's podcast given me this tweet to put up there, but this is from Adam the Bull.
- 55:25[SPEAKER_00]: He discussed why winning football games isn't in the Brown's best interest this season.
- 55:29[SPEAKER_00]: It says the best case scenario for the Browns is to be the worst team in football this year.
- 55:34[SPEAKER_02]: well he's talking obviously about getting the quarterback that uh... they want in next year's draft whether it's manning more uh... uh... whoever i guess the kid from local home estate is going to be most watch message to make very out uh... there's a lot of hype about him
- 55:51[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think, as I've said here on the show that they need, you know, to have a horrible record because the Garrett trade has given them the ammunition to maneuver and trade up, to get the quarterback that they want if they play their cards right.
- 56:07[SPEAKER_02]: Which is a big question when it comes to Perry and my opinion.
- 56:10[SPEAKER_02]: He's no Kobe Altman.
- 56:11[SPEAKER_02]: No, but indeed, I don't think they have to, you know, tank games, even though they may wind up with it.
- 56:18[SPEAKER_01]: But you know, what is, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh,
- 56:36[SPEAKER_01]: plus we can trade twenty twenty eights first round picked to absolutely that's enough and we don't need to get they're going to get they are in a position to get a head they traded Garrett two years ago like I would have I would have done even more yeah I'd have done the same but also like you're going to have plenty to get up there that doesn't bother me at all and there's going to be four guys I think you can choose from and don't forget there's going to be a team
- 56:59[SPEAKER_01]: at like the fourth or sixth pick that already has a quarterback and they got hurt or they still like believe in a young guy that they don't need a quarterback, Browns will be just fine.
- 57:09[SPEAKER_01]: And I think when you start tanking, you instill a losing culture with your young players that you then have to overcome yet again.
- 57:17[SPEAKER_01]: Don't create another hurdle that you're going to have to get back over when you're ready to win.
- 57:22[SPEAKER_01]: Go out there and send these guys out.
- 57:23[SPEAKER_01]: Try to win as many games you can.
- 57:24[SPEAKER_00]: You'll be fine.
- 57:25[SPEAKER_00]: or wrap it up here, Bruce, but real quick, I want to shout out this note from Shamsharani a little bit crazy, some history, four James Harden about this deal.
- 57:33[SPEAKER_00]: James Harden now with his new deal with the Cleveland Cavaliers, reaches $511 million in career earnings.
- 57:39[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe just the fourth player in NBA history to eclipse the $511 dollar mark?
- 57:44[SPEAKER_00]: Don't tell me, can we guess?
- 57:45[SPEAKER_00]: $500 million.
- 57:46[SPEAKER_00]: It's got to be Braun.
- 57:47[SPEAKER_00]: Braun?
- 57:47[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 57:48[SPEAKER_00]: Kevin Durant, Kevin Durant, one more staff, Steph Curry and James Hard.
- 57:55[SPEAKER_01]: Everybody else got a ring, except him.
- 57:58[SPEAKER_00]: That's all the time we have for this week's version of the Thursday edition of Big Play Cleveland Show.
- 58:04[SPEAKER_02]: I'm Bruce Trent, and on behalf of Matt Fontan and Ryan Tyler, hope you enjoyed it.
- 58:08[SPEAKER_02]: We look forward to seeing you next Thursday.
- 58:10[SPEAKER_02]: Every day Monday through Friday at noon live on YouTube.
- 58:13[SPEAKER_02]: So until next week, as always,
- 58:19[SPEAKER_02]: I love you, Cleveland.
