Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Over the last couple of days since the assassination of
- 0:03Speaker 1: Charlie Kirk, a lot has transpired. First of all, there's
- 0:07Speaker 1: been so much vitriol over the assassination that there's actually
- 0:11Speaker 1: been a lot of firings of people from their jobs
- 0:14Speaker 1: for openly and outwriting celebrating the assassination of Charlie Kirk.
- 0:20Speaker 1: I don't mind those firings only because if you're representing
- 0:24Speaker 1: a company and you put where you work on your
- 0:28Speaker 1: bio or timeline or whatever, you're then saying, yeah, your
- 0:32Speaker 1: own views, but they're also sort of attached to your
- 0:36Speaker 1: company because you work for them, and the company doesn't
- 0:39Speaker 1: want to have someone who's being vicious about it shooting
- 0:44Speaker 1: and the killing of a human being. On the other hand,
- 0:47Speaker 1: that I know that the words of Charlie Kirk are
- 0:49Speaker 1: coming out more and more since his assassination, and I mean,
- 0:57Speaker 1: I still feel like it's a duty here at one time,
- 1:00Speaker 1: like Alex, to at least give you a snippet of
- 1:03Speaker 1: what Erica Kirk said two days after his assassination. I mean,
- 1:08Speaker 1: from a human perspective, to build up the strength to
- 1:11Speaker 1: go up there and do a sixteen minute speech, let
- 1:14Speaker 1: alone a five minute speech is noteworthy, and so that's
- 1:17Speaker 1: why you're gonna hear about forty eight seconds of it,
- 1:20Speaker 1: because a lot of it was preachy, and a lot of.
- 1:23Speaker 2: It I don't necessarily I don't know how to explain it,
- 1:31Speaker 2: but it's the martyrdom conversation has really been bothersome because
- 1:38Speaker 2: right now Charlie Kirk should be here, whether you'd.
- 1:41Speaker 1: Like his views or not, he should be on the
- 1:44Speaker 1: air this upcoming week, and he's not because Evil took
- 1:50Speaker 1: him out. That's the bottom line. Evil took him out.
- 1:56Speaker 1: And so I cannot buy into.
- 1:58Speaker 3: This martyrdom scenario because I can't fathom that God will
- 2:05Speaker 3: want this plan for him. Evil does disrupt God's plans,
- 2:09Speaker 3: and I feel like this shooting brought that so.
- 2:16Speaker 1: Perspective so much to light for me anyways, that there's
- 2:22Speaker 1: no other way to describe it. Evil ruined the plans
- 2:26Speaker 1: for Charlie Kirk, whatever it might be. So this martyrdom
- 2:29Speaker 1: conversation I can't really involve myself with. But from the
- 2:37Speaker 1: human perspective, what Erica Kirk was talking about from the
- 2:40Speaker 1: studios of the Charlie Kirk Show, his love of the
- 2:44Speaker 1: Cubs and the Ducks, I just want to share that
- 2:46Speaker 1: because this seems to me with the behind the scenes
- 2:50Speaker 1: and again, when he debated people, there wasn't necessarily outright disrespect.
- 2:58Speaker 1: He seemed to debate respectful and his death does not
- 3:04Speaker 1: mean the public discourse should end. I'll say that again.
- 3:09Speaker 1: So I wanted to share this newsworthy moment of Erica
- 3:13Speaker 1: Kirk speaking about her husband, because that's what we do
- 3:17Speaker 1: here one Lego Balx News. As controversial as it may be,
- 3:21Speaker 1: you have to hear when a widow now with two kids,
- 3:27Speaker 1: who just lost her husband due to assassination speaks up.
- 3:33Speaker 1: It's noteworthy.
- 3:35Speaker 4: Two days ago, my husband Charlie went to see the
- 3:38Speaker 4: face of his Savior and his God. Charlie loved loved life.
- 3:47Speaker 4: He loved his life, He loved America. He loved nature,
- 3:53Speaker 4: which helps him always bring him closer to God. The
- 4:00Speaker 4: Chicago Cubs, and my goodness, did he love the Oregon Ducks.
- 4:06Speaker 4: Want me to say, go Ducks, So I have to
- 4:08Speaker 4: since they play on Saturday, So go Ducks. But most
- 4:13Speaker 4: of all, Charlie loved his children and he loved me
- 4:23Speaker 4: with all of his heart.
- 4:25Speaker 1: Now, if you want to listen to her whole, if
- 4:29Speaker 1: you want to listen to her whole speech. You can
- 4:31Speaker 1: find it Charlie Kirk's social media. But I felt called
- 4:35Speaker 1: to just share those a little behind the scenes. And
- 4:38Speaker 1: I had forgotten that he was born and raised in Chicago,
- 4:42Speaker 1: so of course there's a Cubs connection. But I think
- 4:49Speaker 1: it's perfectly fine to separate the viewpoints from the human
- 4:53Speaker 1: being in this moment. A human being was shut to death,
- 5:01Speaker 1: assassinated on Wednesday, and that's really all I can still
- 5:11Speaker 1: think about. People are talking about his views and this,
- 5:16Speaker 1: that and the other, and how controversial they were, but
- 5:21Speaker 1: we just cannot lose the scope of the fact that
- 5:23Speaker 1: human being was killed on Wednesday. And so I applaud
- 5:31Speaker 1: Erica Kirk for garnering the strength, getting the strength to
- 5:35Speaker 1: go up there and speak, because two days later, you'd
- 5:45Speaker 1: think she would be a mess and a half, but
- 5:47Speaker 1: she held it together, and maybe she tryed to hold
- 5:51Speaker 1: it together for the kids. I know there's a video
- 5:53Speaker 1: of her at Charlie's coffin breaking down and sobbing and crying,
- 5:59Speaker 1: and that's just horrible. But if you're cheering for this
- 6:08Speaker 1: kind of killing, then I think you need to evaluate
- 6:14Speaker 1: yourself whether you agree or disagree with someone an assassination,
- 6:20Speaker 1: a killing in cold blood and at the end of
- 6:25Speaker 1: the death should not be celebrated. And that's where I
- 6:33Speaker 1: land on it. Here I will look up with Alex
- 6:36Speaker 1: Garrett
