- 0:31Speaker 1: The Lakers were eliminated last night by the Nuggets, which was an entertaining series.
- 0:37Speaker 1: Lakers led at half in all five games.
- 0:40Speaker 1: We're going to get into the draft.
- 0:43Speaker 1: The draft.
- 0:44Speaker 1: I'm gonna talk about the seminoles that were drafted.
- 0:47Speaker 1: Uh, justin might be able to remember the few hurricanes that were drafted.
- 0:53Speaker 1: I do like one of their picks.
- 0:54Speaker 1: Uh, we're gonna get to that.
- 0:55Speaker 1: Uh, there was one florida gator drafted.
- 0:59Speaker 1: That's it.
- 0:59Speaker 1: One, one damn guy.
- 1:02Speaker 1: We're gonna talk about that.
- 1:03Speaker 1: I I think it's a good pick.
- 1:05Speaker 1: Uh, jimmy reno's reaction was hilarious.
- 1:09Speaker 1: If you haven't done so already, you need to download and subscribe wherever you get your podcasts, the podcast available everywhere spotify, itunes, iheart radio, all that stuff.

- 1:28Speaker 1: Thumbs up, all that stuff.
- 1:30Speaker 1: Instagram, facebook we're all there too.
- 1:33Speaker 1: But here we move on.
- 1:36Speaker 1: Man, as the summer heat is coming in, I'll bring justin in right now.
- 1:42Speaker 1: Speaking of the heat, let's, let's go there first the first game of last night's doubleheader.
- 1:48Speaker 1: I'll tell you what you know first glance.
- 1:51Speaker 1: I watched the end of it, but you know it was there for them.
- 1:55Speaker 1: If they could shoot the ball better, do you agree?
- 1:58Speaker 2: Yeah, dude, that's exactly what the problem was.
- 2:01Speaker 2: And even Stan Van Gundy, multiple times throughout the game last night, kept making the comment and anybody that watched the full game would agree with this is that the Heat played the better game last night.
- 2:16Speaker 2: They had the better game plan, they played with more intensity, right?
- 2:22Speaker 2: They just looked like me and you shooting threes at the rec park man.
- 2:27Speaker 2: I mean, I don't know what they finished at, but I did see at one point, like it was either at the end of the third quarter or the beginning of the fourth quarter, that the Heat were 4 of 21 from 3.
- 2:40Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, the Heat.
- 2:43Speaker 1: You know they're undermanned Boston, though as big a favorite as they are in the East.
- 2:50Speaker 1: I came away not as confident as I was before the season.
- 2:57Speaker 1: Now, granted, I was going off your articles.
- 3:00Speaker 1: I read because I'll tell you what regular season NBA is.
- 3:05Speaker 1: Just a different sport, you know, and it's it matters in terms for young teams and positioning, and you don't, you want to avoid the play in game and but the playoffs are different and you know the heat.
- 3:21Speaker 1: Been doing it the last few years with you know a couple of stars, and now they don't have their star, their main star, and they're doing it with guys that were picked up off last year's team and there's still a couple left, but I think it probably came up and got them last night.
- 3:40Speaker 2: Yeah, patty Mills played significant minutes for the Heat last night.
- 3:43Speaker 2: Yeah that's a backup for the Spurs he was a backup for the Spurs when Duncan was playing LeBron in the finals with the big three in Miami.
- 3:55Speaker 1: Patty Mills was good, that was 10 years ago.
- 3:58Speaker 1: Right, so you think it's over.
- 4:02Speaker 2: Oh, it's definitely over, unless Coach Bud Kilmer shows up to the locker room Wednesday night, shoots up Jimmy Butler's knee, shoots up Terry Rozier's neck and shoots up Duncan Robinson's back.
- 4:16Speaker 1: The best series in the East happens to be Orlando and Cleveland.
- 4:19Speaker 1: You know it didn't look good for us, you know, in the beginning, but Orlando evened the series up.
- 4:27Speaker 2: Hey, series hasn't started yet.
- 4:28Speaker 2: Home team hasn't lost.
- 4:29Speaker 2: Yeah, that could.
- 4:30Speaker 2: Yeah, that's true, series isn't even on, man.
- 4:33Speaker 2: What are you even talking about?
- 4:34Speaker 2: Yeah, the Magic have looked really good these past two games and one thing they've done that's um gotta scare you.
- 4:47Speaker 2: Um, going into game five is uh, yeah, they've, uh, they've held them.
- 4:54Speaker 2: Uh, the magic fell their opponents under 100 points in every game.
- 4:58Speaker 2: Yeah, in these first four matchups, and that doesn't happen in modern nba, right, and that's that.
- 5:04Speaker 2: That's something you got to look at moving forward for the rest of this series.
- 5:08Speaker 2: If the Magic are going to play defense like that and Wagner is going to be dropping 30 off the bench, man, yeah, they got to shoot better.
- 5:18Speaker 1: They got to hit threes, and not even a lot.
- 5:21Speaker 1: They just have to be able to shoot at least 30% if they're going to D up still, because if you don't hit threes, the other teams are going to hang around and go on a run eventually, especially at home.
- 5:36Speaker 2: Yeah, and I mean I mean Donovan Mitchell, like the.
- 5:38Speaker 2: I remember a couple of years ago when the talk was Donovan Mitchell or Anthony Edwards.
- 5:43Speaker 2: I think we've answered that question.
- 5:45Speaker 2: Yeah, I think it's pretty obviously, anthony edwards man.
- 5:49Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean the guy's the number one overall pick and another guy's middle of the first round pick.
- 5:58Speaker 1: So I mean usually in the NBA that your type of alpha dudes that are going to take over the league or first-team all-pro, are in the top 10.
- 6:12Speaker 2: Yeah, oh yeah, for sure, I mean there's very few, you know, Steph.
- 6:16Speaker 1: Curry, it doesn't, you know, you're not.
- 6:18Speaker 1: Mitchell was good in Utah, you know.
- 6:21Speaker 1: But he's impressive.
- 6:22Speaker 1: He has you know for his size.
- 6:24Speaker 1: He has you know for his size.
- 6:25Speaker 1: He puts up 50 point games a lot, but you have to do it four out of seven.
- 6:30Speaker 1: You saw a bunch of times in utah they couldn't get it done.
- 6:33Speaker 1: As a jazz fan, I I can attest to that.
- 6:36Speaker 1: But um, I'm looking forward to this next series, denver and minnesota.
- 6:41Speaker 1: That is going to be a fun series.
- 6:44Speaker 1: I am so pumped for that.
- 6:47Speaker 1: You still have the 4-5 in the West.
- 6:50Speaker 1: Both 4-5s are the best series, which it should be In both conferences.
- 6:56Speaker 1: You have Dallas and LA, and I was totally wrong about Kawhi.
- 7:01Speaker 1: Apparently, if he doesn't play, the Clippers will win easily because they're 0-2 when he's in the lineup.
- 7:07Speaker 1: They're 2-0 without him.
- 7:09Speaker 2: Did you watch any of that crazy game?
- 7:11Speaker 2: I think it was on Sunday when they played.
- 7:13Speaker 2: They were up there, yeah, when Dallas was down by like 35, and they ended up cutting it down to just like one or two possession game.
- 7:22Speaker 2: In the fourth quarter, man Kyrie got hot and I mean like that was the thing, like why I hadn't into the playoffs, why I was so big on Denver or not Denver, but Dallas was because, uh, I mean I think Luca is top three player in the NBA and when Kyrie gets hot, you cannot stop that crazy bastard.
- 7:39Speaker 2: He might, he might be thinking about flat earth and all this weird crap.
- 7:43Speaker 2: Dude, he can play man.
- 7:48Speaker 1: I mean he's got to be frustrating.
- 7:49Speaker 1: Yeah, he doesn't hit, he's the closer, but I'll tell you what.
- 7:52Speaker 1: Who's the closer now?
- 7:53Speaker 1: And Jamal Murray is the closer for that Nuggets team and it's not even the best player they have, which is saying something, that that combo of them, because the lakers played really well and he just clutch again, he hits.
- 8:08Speaker 1: I mean they had the rebound at the end.
- 8:11Speaker 1: He hit the three and then he hit another buzzer beater.
- 8:13Speaker 1: That's two in the same series.
- 8:15Speaker 1: You know he just has a, a kobe s to him and he and you know it's a different style, but their combination is similar to Shaq and Kobe as to where you know, shaq was the most dominant player throughout the game and he was kind of like you went through him.
- 8:34Speaker 1: And they do that with Joker.
- 8:35Speaker 1: He's a little more out on the perimeter and he passes more, but when it comes to closing, murray does the closing like Kobe did, and he's just coming up big time.
- 8:48Speaker 2: Yeah, you don't have to remind me, dude.
- 8:49Speaker 2: I saw it last year in the finals Every time that he would make a run, murray would just put it out with a clutch three or something.
- 9:00Speaker 2: Man, I mean, murray is a hell of a player man.
- 9:03Speaker 1: Underrated.
- 9:04Speaker 2: underrated I'm super excited, like you said, for for that minnesota denver matchup.
- 9:08Speaker 2: Man, that's going to be a lot of fun.
- 9:10Speaker 1: Edwards against murray gobert, defensive player of the year versus the joker.
- 9:15Speaker 2: Oh my goodness, it's going to so many towns and aaron gordon.
- 9:18Speaker 1: Right, there's so many great matchups.
- 9:20Speaker 1: Um, you have the.
- 9:21Speaker 1: You know, the t-wolves coach is from the denver staff, so you know, if you love playoff basketball, you know, and this is going to be that series yeah, that one, that that that might be the most enjoyable series, anthony edwards was saying he you know why is anybody talking about him?
- 9:39Speaker 1: Well, this is where you get known.
- 9:41Speaker 1: When you win series like this, you're playing the defending champs.
- 9:44Speaker 1: This is your chance.
- 9:47Speaker 2: Hey, we got it.
- 9:48Speaker 2: We got to tag Anthony Edwards on this podcast.
- 9:50Speaker 2: Dude, we're talking about them.
- 9:52Speaker 1: I love it.
- 9:52Speaker 1: Yeah, we are.
- 9:53Speaker 1: We are, um but uh.
- 9:55Speaker 1: Playoffs, man, I love them.
- 9:56Speaker 1: They're, they're just starting to get to that really sweet spot where the matchups coming, coming in Um but um but uh.
- 10:04Speaker 1: I want to talk draft the draft grade which you, you know.
- 10:08Speaker 1: How the hell do you even come up with such a thing?
- 10:11Speaker 1: You know it's.
- 10:13Speaker 2: I can tell you when a draft is really bad oh, I know, and I mean you can't really.
- 10:17Speaker 2: I mean it's if chris greer is doing your drafting, odds are it's going to be really bad.
- 10:23Speaker 1: Yeah, well, the big.
- 10:26Speaker 1: I mean, I have some thoughts.
- 10:29Speaker 1: I actually liked Chicago's first round.
- 10:33Speaker 1: I think you know Caleb Williams and Adunze, that could be, you know, a combo that could go.
- 10:41Speaker 1: They they changed their roster the most offensively than any other team with free agency and the draft.
- 10:48Speaker 2: Oh yeah, the addition of Deandre Swift, I think, is one that's going under the radar with Chicago that not a lot of people are talking about.
- 10:54Speaker 2: It's like, oh, keenan Allen, now Caleb Williams and a dunes a and DJ more, and I'm like guys, deandre Swift is a bad-ass running back that they plugged in there too.
- 11:04Speaker 1: And your guy Drake May was third.
- 11:07Speaker 2: To the daggums hats, I know.
- 11:10Speaker 2: There's only two options now.
- 11:12Speaker 2: It's either one I look like a complete moron and Drake May's out of the league in five years, or two I've got 15 years of having to deal with that bastard twice a year.
- 11:22Speaker 2: So it's a lose-lose for me.
- 11:24Speaker 1: New england you know, but they did draft around him because the reason why I didn't think that was a good place for him is because of their rosters.
- 11:33Speaker 1: But you know they drafted around him and you know most of their.
- 11:36Speaker 1: I think they had like one defensive pick the whole time.
- 11:40Speaker 2: So you, know, yeah, they did all offense, which is what you need to do, but honestly, with, with, with, with that roster, I mean I I'd bring in jimmy garoppolo and I would sit drake may for the entire season.
- 11:52Speaker 1: I think they have jacoby brissett oh, there you go, yeah, yeah, yeah another, yeah, another, uh, patriot, former patriot guy, he, because he was on the browns, you know he.
- 12:03Speaker 1: Then he got hurt.
- 12:04Speaker 1: That's why they even got joe flacco.
- 12:07Speaker 1: There was a bunch of revolving doors there, um, but all right.
- 12:11Speaker 1: So, but the big question mark was you know, who's going to take that fourth quarterback?
- 12:16Speaker 1: And what happened?
- 12:18Speaker 1: And then happened when atlanta got to pick.
- 12:20Speaker 1: They took mich Michael Penix Jr from Washington as the fourth pick, surprising, I think, everyone.
- 12:30Speaker 1: Now you just signed Kirk Cousins to a deal.
- 12:37Speaker 1: I mean, you like Penix, but I don't like it.
- 12:42Speaker 1: I mean not to say I don't like Pennix, but I mean but why did you?
- 12:50Speaker 1: I don't like the pickup of Cousins.
- 12:51Speaker 1: Then what do you think about Atlanta?
- 12:53Speaker 2: What were they thinking?
- 12:54Speaker 2: Yeah, no, I'm kind of with you.
- 12:56Speaker 1: I don't understand paying $180 million to a quarterback and then drafting somebody two months later well, yeah, and you're not, and he's like he's a vet, he's old, he, he's like coming up 23, 24, right, he's been around, he took the extra year of eligibility.
- 13:14Speaker 1: So I mean you're just like, all right, that's, you're gonna sit definitely for two years, three years, because cousins wants to play, you know he wants to retire, falcon, he says, but you, you know, whatever, I mean that's not going to happen unless he plans on retiring in two years.
- 13:29Speaker 1: But I don't know.
- 13:31Speaker 1: With that pick, I guess the thought is they claim that there was a bunch of teams interested and that's probably them leaking a story to justify the pick.
- 13:43Speaker 1: But that's the big question mark.
- 13:48Speaker 1: I tell you what for right here in North Florida, I really like the Rams picks and I know always first two picks were Florida State guys.
- 13:59Speaker 1: But I think they really got value, and not just only those picks but the other picks they they got.
- 14:06Speaker 1: They got quorum, the running back from michigan, and they got kitchens and safety from miami both.
- 14:11Speaker 1: I think they got really at a good spot.
- 14:14Speaker 1: Fisk too.
- 14:15Speaker 1: I think fisk might be even end up better than verse in the long run yeah, I love the verse pick.
- 14:22Speaker 2: Um, I was actually.
- 14:24Speaker 2: It was funny, I was texting with a buddy of mine, um, throughout the draft he was like this big draft nerd and uh, you know, like we're going like pick for pick, like all right, who do you think goes here?
- 14:34Speaker 2: Da, da, da, da and uh, and like the rams pick was coming up and he's like, all right, who do the r take?
- 14:40Speaker 2: I'm like dude, they take Jared Verse.
- 14:42Speaker 2: It's a perfect fit.
- 14:44Speaker 2: He fits the style of defense they run.
- 14:46Speaker 2: He fills a gap.
- 14:48Speaker 2: I mean, obviously he's no Aaron Donald.
- 14:51Speaker 1: No, no, but you address that.
- 14:54Speaker 1: Your first two picks, the first first-round pick that Sean McVay's ever had.
- 14:59Speaker 2: That's amazing.
- 15:00Speaker 1: Yeah, no, that's pretty cool.
- 15:01Speaker 1: You know they they waited till they like we don't need a first round pick, we got the quarterback we want.
- 15:06Speaker 1: We have Aaron Donald Well, he retired.
- 15:08Speaker 1: So it was like, well, we'll use it this year.
- 15:09Speaker 1: And they did it with their first two picks.
- 15:12Speaker 1: That's what I like.
- 15:15Speaker 2: I'm actually surprised that the Rams didn't Go with a quarterback in the first couple of rounds Not the first round, but Stafford's old and banged up.
- 15:26Speaker 1: Yeah, I know, but I think they're tied at the hip.
- 15:28Speaker 1: I don't think McVay's coaching anybody else but him.
- 15:33Speaker 1: And you know.
- 15:34Speaker 1: You just said Stafford wants a long-term deal, you know.
- 15:38Speaker 1: I don't give it to him.
- 15:40Speaker 1: He played better last year and he's won a Super Bowl.
- 15:43Speaker 1: I mean, it's different quarterback, yeah, I, I'd give it to stafford over, say, a guy that's in his last year, uh, dac, which is just walking, dead man walking, I think oh, had dac and mccarthy both yeah, it's like all right.
- 16:00Speaker 2: Good luck guys oh, and speaking of mccarthy's, what is up with all this?
- 16:06Speaker 2: Jj, mccarthy love, I do not understand.
- 16:10Speaker 1: They won the national championship uh he started ken dorsey right, but that was before all this social media stuff and and all that.
- 16:18Speaker 1: And I I'd say he's got a little better mobility than Dorsey.
- 16:24Speaker 1: He's got a strong arm.
- 16:27Speaker 1: I guess the knock is that they didn't need to use him Doesn't mean that he can't do the things that you want to do in the NFL.
- 16:37Speaker 1: And I tell you, winning is important in the league.
- 16:40Speaker 1: Making decisions is really important and I think you know his third down numbers at critical points in the league.
- 16:44Speaker 1: You're making decisions is really important and I think you know his third down numbers at critical points in the game.
- 16:48Speaker 1: You can point to some plays there, but yeah, um, yeah I mean I can point to 27 consecutive runs I like the fit.
- 16:55Speaker 1: Yeah, I know what you mean, but I like the fit, I like he's not gonna.
- 16:58Speaker 1: They're not gonna do that, so he'll have more chances and you just don't have a lot of film because of the running dominance that they had in michigan yeah, I mean it's like that drafting tommy frazier in the first round no, no frazier had a cannon uh that was different.
- 17:17Speaker 2: That yeah well that might well.
- 17:20Speaker 1: That was back in the day where they thought little guys couldn't play, you know, and that's not the case.
- 17:26Speaker 1: It shouldn't have been.
- 17:27Speaker 1: Back then.
- 17:28Speaker 1: Jordan Travis picked up by the Jets another quarterback that I watch and be a fan of, going to a team that I'm not a fan of at all.
- 17:39Speaker 2: That will also ruin his career Probably.
- 17:42Speaker 1: It'll be good to see himt back in tallahassee coaching in a couple years.
- 17:46Speaker 1: Yeah, unless you're like I don't think any quarterback ever has worked out there.
- 17:50Speaker 1: Even aaron rogers shows up and breaks and tears his achilles, but you know, I guess you'd have, you'd have a chance to learn from him and you know, take time hopefully to get 100%.
- 18:03Speaker 1: I like that Pig.
- 18:05Speaker 1: Ten Seminoles drafted, tied.
- 18:08Speaker 1: For the most he had four Hurricanes drafted.
- 18:14Speaker 2: I was surprised.
- 18:15Speaker 2: The D-lineman from Miami what's his name?
- 18:18Speaker 2: Taylor didn't get picked.
- 18:20Speaker 2: That was really surprising to me Same here.
- 18:24Speaker 1: I would love it from florida state.
- 18:25Speaker 1: But I tell you what?
- 18:27Speaker 1: Uh, you got it deloach and free agent.
- 18:30Speaker 1: I he's gonna.
- 18:32Speaker 1: He went to the bucks.
- 18:33Speaker 1: I think that's a good free agent pickup and johnny wilson went all the way to the sixth round to the eagles, which I think is a great pick yeah, I.
- 18:42Speaker 2: I'm curious to see how he's utilized in the NFL.
- 18:47Speaker 1: Yeah, he's not.
- 18:48Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean he feels like an Evan Ingram type where he's in between a tight end and a wide receiver and it's really got to be a good scheme, fit for him to be successful.
- 19:01Speaker 1: Well, you can do that and they have.
- 19:03Speaker 1: That's coming with AJ Brown, heisman, winter, smith, you know so he doesn't, there's not gonna be.
- 19:07Speaker 1: You can match him up, take advantage of that size um I.
- 19:12Speaker 1: I just I've seen him play two years, I think where, from where he got drafted in the sixth round.
- 19:17Speaker 2: That is a really good pick yeah, it's a good value pick, for sure value pick.
- 19:22Speaker 1: Same thing with kitchens from miami and, uh, I thought he was a guy.
- 19:27Speaker 1: Before the season people were talking about top first day of the draft, if not second round, and he drops to them, so I thought that was a good pick too for the yeah, exactly, I think what happened.
- 19:38Speaker 2: I think what happened with kitchens and this is what just infuriates me about nfl gms is he didn't shine at the combine right, right and those and it's like dude, watch the film.
- 19:48Speaker 1: Watch the film the guys all over the field yeah, and I like the football players they got and they the same thing with quorum, with the running back.
- 19:56Speaker 1: You know he's just a dude man, that that michigan had a first round quarterback.
- 20:02Speaker 1: We're like, no, we're gonna give it to this guy, and that you know he's a leader too, so that's a locker room guy too.
- 20:08Speaker 1: You're getting a bunch of like workaholic kind of players.
- 20:12Speaker 1: You know, that's what I liked about the rams draft just a bunch of football players and, uh, that's what you need when you're replacing quite possibly the best defender ever, arguably.
- 20:24Speaker 2: Yeah, no, he's definitely up there with, like LT and those sites, Ten seasons.
- 20:29Speaker 1: Ten seasons out for him, Aaron Donald.
- 20:34Speaker 2: Yeah, and if you look back actually at the draft where Aaron Donald came out, he fell way down in the first round because he was quote-unquote undersized to play D tackle.
- 20:45Speaker 1: Right Chop Robinson to our dolphins.
- 20:50Speaker 2: Idiotic kick.
- 20:51Speaker 1: You don't like it, no.
- 20:52Speaker 2: That's where.
- 20:53Speaker 1: I mean, I was watching the draft with our fellow show contributor, jimmy Reno, and that's when I agreed with you you what you said about verse, because he was trying he's like man, hopefully verse can fall.
- 21:06Speaker 1: I was like there's no to the dolphins and I was like that's who I want, but it the rams pick up in front of them and they're gonna take and then, and then we pick a guy dude, you chop robinson.
- 21:18Speaker 2: It reminds me so much of deon jordan.
- 21:20Speaker 2: He's fast.
- 21:22Speaker 2: He has one move which is be faster than the offensive lineman.
- 21:26Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I mean, he didn't even have double digit sacks in two seasons combined Right.
- 21:32Speaker 2: Nine and a half sacks, dude.
- 21:33Speaker 2: That's not a first round talent, I'm sorry, it's not.
- 21:36Speaker 1: He's just fast.
- 21:37Speaker 1: They went there.
- 21:38Speaker 1: I think they they took the best on their board probably, but yeah.
- 21:43Speaker 2: Yeah, passing on Cooper Dejean was idiotic.
- 21:47Speaker 2: He falls to you, the corner from Iowa falls to you and you just lost Xavier Howard and you're going to bring in an undersized pass rusher when you already have Jalen Phillips and Bradley Chubb on the team.
- 22:01Speaker 2: It doesn't make any sense.
- 22:03Speaker 2: We lost Van Ginkle at linebacker, we lost Jerome Baker at linebacker, we lost Zavian Howard at corner and we draft a project pass rusher.
- 22:12Speaker 2: It's idiotic, dude.
- 22:13Speaker 2: Chris Greer is a freaking moron Dude.
- 22:17Speaker 2: He's been part of the Dolphins front office for the last 20 years.
- 22:20Speaker 2: Yeah, Can you name me five good draft picks?
- 22:25Speaker 1: It's time to hit the road.
- 22:28Speaker 2: He's got dirt, dude.
- 22:29Speaker 2: He's got the flight logs.
- 22:31Speaker 2: He's got the Epstein flight logs and Steven Ross is on them.
- 22:34Speaker 2: Yep, yeah, it's the only explanation, dude.
- 22:36Speaker 2: You're right.
- 22:37Speaker 2: We've been rebuilding our offensive line since Dave Wanstead, and Chris Greer has not been able to draft a decent offensive lineman in 20 freaking years.
- 22:45Speaker 2: Man oh man, it's nauseating.
- 22:48Speaker 2: And then we trade up to draft another speedy running back.
- 22:52Speaker 2: How many running backs are we going to put on the field at once?
- 22:57Speaker 1: oh boy, oh no, oh, dude the dolphin.
- 22:58Speaker 2: This happens to me every year, dude.
- 22:59Speaker 2: I hate the Dolphins.
- 23:00Speaker 2: This happens to me every year, dude.
- 23:01Speaker 2: I hate the Dolphins draft, like every freaking year.
- 23:04Speaker 2: Because again, like, yeah, jalen Wright, really fast.
- 23:08Speaker 2: But did you watch any Tennessee games that Jalen Wright dominated?
- 23:12Speaker 2: No, no, of course not.
- 23:16Speaker 2: And again he's just an undersized fast running back.
- 23:20Speaker 2: We already have Devon A Chan, we already have Raheem M, him mostert, we got Tyree Kill, we got Jalen Waddle.
- 23:27Speaker 2: We've got enough speed.
- 23:29Speaker 2: I mean, we're not playing freaking seven on seven flag football here, man yeah.
- 23:35Speaker 2: I mean you can't just draft people that are really fast.
- 23:38Speaker 2: I I mean, is it Darius Hayward Bay?
- 23:41Speaker 2: You know he ran a good 40 time like give me a goddamn break.
- 23:45Speaker 2: It's ridiculous dude.
- 23:47Speaker 2: Yeah, I, I just don't understand how chris greer has a job.
- 23:51Speaker 2: I really don't.
- 23:52Speaker 2: It's been mind-boggling since we took deon jordan instead of lane johnson in the draft, right.
- 23:57Speaker 2: I don't understand why this guy has a job I think you nailed it.
- 24:01Speaker 1: He's got the dirt on ross it's the only thing.
- 24:06Speaker 2: I mean, like my god, if we're gonna, we're gonna waste some picks, why not pick some michigan guys, because stephen ross loves michigan, you know?
- 24:12Speaker 2: I mean, like at least I could make sense of those picks.
- 24:15Speaker 2: Be like oh well, stephen ross wanted him to get a michigan man, but instead we're getting guys from Penn state who can't sack quarterbacks in the big 10 of all places.
- 24:24Speaker 2: Yeah, oh, it's infuriating man.
- 24:28Speaker 2: I mean, and I know we're probably going to end up signing to a to a $500 million contract.
- 24:34Speaker 1: No.
- 24:35Speaker 2: Well, dude, we're going to be in cap hell.
- 24:38Speaker 2: We're going to be in cap hell in like one year, dude, and then we're gonna have a bunch of undersized fast guys that aren't good at football oh god, all right well we had to go, yeah, so it was a great weekend for me, man I gotta get on out of here all right.
- 24:57Speaker 1: Last little tidbit keon coleman to the bills fantastic pitch yes, let's touch on the rest of those fsu draftees, since it was for the teams in florida, I would say in a memorable team.
- 25:12Speaker 1: You know, obviously I don't want to go into the playoff drives, but it was more than just one player obviously.
- 25:17Speaker 1: I mean you had five guys on offense, five guys on defense.
- 25:21Speaker 1: Keon Coleman to the Bills, great pickup, first pick of the second round.
- 25:25Speaker 1: He's going to have big shoots to fill.
- 25:28Speaker 1: Diggs is out of there, but I think you got a guy that can do it all in Coleman.
- 25:34Speaker 1: Another guy that just put on the damn tape.
- 25:37Speaker 1: You know, exactly, like you were saying earlier, we got another pick I like was Leonardo Green in the last week of the second round of the Niners, jimmy Reno.
- 25:51Speaker 1: He wanted Keon Coleman to the Niners in the first round and then he got the Gator, the only Gator draft pick, ricky Peterson, who I think is a good player.
- 26:03Speaker 2: That's a good landing spot for him too, yeah he did not like it.
- 26:06Speaker 1: He did not like it.
- 26:07Speaker 1: We laughed for a long time.
- 26:09Speaker 1: It was funny.
- 26:11Speaker 1: It's just Seminole and Niner Hart.
- 26:13Speaker 1: We wanted that to happen.
- 26:14Speaker 1: But the Bills another player I like going to a team that I don't like in the pros, but a good pickup there Fisk in the second round, leonardo Green in the second round, renato Green in the second round, jerrion Jones right here to the Jaguars In the third round.
- 26:36Speaker 1: You have Jordan Travis going to go up to play in New York for the Jets, jaheim Bell going to the Pats, tatum Athun going to linebacker, seventh round.
- 26:50Speaker 1: Who else we got there?
- 26:51Speaker 1: Oh, colt, we touched on Johnny Wilson to the Eagles.
- 26:59Speaker 1: I like that pick.
- 26:59Speaker 1: So a big day for FSU draft.
- 27:02Speaker 1: Three agents got picked up.
- 27:04Speaker 1: I'm surprised that Lovett didn't get drafted, but he's going, he signed.
- 27:09Speaker 1: And Deloach signed as well as the last one Dent, hakeem Dent.
- 27:17Speaker 1: Yeah, we got more NBA playoffs to go over and some FSU baseball, possibly when we get Jimmy Reno back here.
- 27:25Speaker 1: And we'll talk to you next time right here on the North Florida Sports Network.
