- 0:05Speaker 1: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the right time, a wave original.
- 0:09Speaker 1: My name is Bomani Jones. Thanks for listening wherever you
- 0:11Speaker 1: get your podcast. Thanks for watching us on YouTube. Subscribe, like,
- 0:15Speaker 1: rate us, review us, give us five stars. You only
- 0:18Speaker 1: give us four stars. I'm inclined to believe you are
- 0:20Speaker 1: a hater. It is Foxworth Friday. Nobody Foxworth. What's going on?
- 0:24Speaker 2: Not much, man. I'm happy to be. I see we
- 0:26Speaker 2: reading the same book. Got that thing out. Everybody got
- 0:29Speaker 2: to support the brother.
- 0:31Speaker 1: Yeah, we had the homie Roy on the other day.
- 0:32Speaker 1: People really, really enjoyed that episode. And I'm trying not
- 0:36Speaker 1: to take that personally because I think I said 18 words.
- 0:39Speaker 1: And people are telling me that that's the best episode
- 0:41Speaker 1: that they can remember.
- 0:42Speaker 2: I mean, it's not fair because it's like they sitting
- 0:47Speaker 2: in boiling water all the time and they have gotten
- 0:49Speaker 2: used to it. So then you throw a little something
- 0:51Speaker 2: different in there like, wow. Don't you realize that I've
- 0:55Speaker 2: been scorching? And Roy's a professional comedian, which is also
- 0:59Speaker 2: a bit of a cheat code.
- 1:00Speaker 3: He is.
- 1:01Speaker 2: He is.
- 1:01Speaker 3: It was like the best HQ interview ever.
- 1:04Speaker 1: And I mean that in the good ways, not the
- 1:06Speaker 1: bad ways. You know what I mean? By the way,
- 1:10Speaker 1: I'm just noticing this. Dominique, we've been doing this show
- 1:12Speaker 1: together now in this capacity for, I guess, about five
- 1:16Speaker 1: years or so. But it's not like it's the only
- 1:18Speaker 1: time that we've had you at that background. And it
- 1:20Speaker 1: dawned on me. You ever notice that they stop asking
- 1:22Speaker 1: kids to draw pictures once they might be good at them?
- 1:28Speaker 1: Like as soon as they start showing a little progress,
- 1:30Speaker 1: they're like, yeah.
- 1:31Speaker 2: Enough of that. So I got the rejects. We actually
- 1:35Speaker 2: got some quality. We got some quality stuff upstairs. But
- 1:40Speaker 2: art is important, but it ain't for everybody. It's like
- 1:43Speaker 2: sports is important, but it ain't for everybody. The reason
- 1:47Speaker 2: why they stopped doing it when people start getting good
- 1:49Speaker 2: at it is because they didn't get good at it.
- 1:51Speaker 2: The ones who got good at it kept going to
- 1:54Speaker 2: save with sports. You know why you stopped playing in
- 1:57Speaker 2: the eighth grade?
- 1:59Speaker 1: Yeah, but the difference is you might still go shoot
- 2:01Speaker 1: in your driveway by yourself.
- 2:03Speaker 3: I don't know about you. I can't draw to save
- 2:05Speaker 3: my life.
- 2:06Speaker 1: I've been terrible at drawing my entire existence. It has
- 2:09Speaker 1: always blown me away. People who are good at drawing
- 2:12Speaker 1: because I don't. I can't. I can't write. I can
- 2:15Speaker 1: barely write the whole draw.
- 2:18Speaker 2: I don't know. I'm sure there have been studies done
- 2:20Speaker 2: on it, but my handwriting is pretty terrible also. But
- 2:23Speaker 2: I used to not be able to draw, which I
- 2:25Speaker 2: probably still can't draw. But I remember when I had kids,
- 2:28Speaker 2: and this was a while ago, when my oldest was young,
- 2:31Speaker 2: she asked me to draw her a picture of one
- 2:33Speaker 2: of her characters. And I surprised myself. I just looked
- 2:35Speaker 2: at it. It was like, I can copy these specific shapes.
- 2:38Speaker 2: So maybe, maybe. Maybe you're at late onset. Yeah, I
- 2:42Speaker 2: don't know.
- 2:43Speaker 3: I think about writing.
- 2:44Speaker 1: And one of the favorite things about my dad is
- 2:45Speaker 1: my dad does everything right-handed except write. And he writes left-handed.
- 2:51Speaker 1: And his handwriting looks exactly like I just told you,
- 2:54Speaker 1: like a right-handed person writing with his left hand. I
- 2:58Speaker 1: am convinced that if he ever decided to try with
- 3:01Speaker 1: his right hand, it would have been worlds different.
- 3:05Speaker 2: That's so, like, it makes no sense because I know, like,
- 3:08Speaker 2: back in the day, they would make left-handed people write right-handed.
- 3:11Speaker 2: Your father was just so anti-establishment that he was like, oh,
- 3:15Speaker 2: that's how y'all doing it?
- 3:16Speaker 3: I don't know, man.
- 3:17Speaker 1: Maybe he was just so smart that the only way
- 3:19Speaker 1: he could find a challenge out of this stuff, I'm
- 3:22Speaker 1: not sure. But speaking of a challenge, man, we got
- 3:25Speaker 1: to give some props to you. You were the earliest
- 3:28Speaker 1: adopter of the Indianapolis Colts this year. You said that
- 3:33Speaker 1: they were going to be good, and that was even
- 3:35Speaker 1: knowing that Daniel Jones was going to be their quarterback. Now,
- 3:41Speaker 1: I made the point on this show, they beat a
- 3:43Speaker 1: bunch of bums, and then they played against the Pittsburgh Steelers,
- 3:47Speaker 1: who are a little bit bum-ish, right? Or maybe they're
- 3:50Speaker 1: not bums, but they don't live in a nice neighborhood, right?
- 3:55Speaker 1: They gave the Colts the work. And look, that happens
- 3:57Speaker 1: every now and then. I don't think everything is necessarily... referendum.
- 4:01Speaker 1: But I do think we all got the same question
- 4:02Speaker 1: about the Colts, which is, how much winning we talking
- 4:04Speaker 1: about you doing with Daniel Jones at quarterback? And so
- 4:07Speaker 1: I ask you, how much winning you think they talking
- 4:08Speaker 1: about doing with Daniel Jones at quarterback?
- 4:11Speaker 2: Well, they think they doing a lot because they gave
- 4:13Speaker 2: up two first round picks for Sauce Gardner to bolster
- 4:16Speaker 2: that secondary. So they low enough to take on the Chiefs.
- 4:19Speaker 2: I don't know why else you do that unless you
- 4:21Speaker 2: think that you're going to have to take on them
- 4:24Speaker 2: late in the playoffs, which I respect that. And I
- 4:27Speaker 2: think After the end of that Daniel Jones, the most recent,
- 4:30Speaker 2: the Steelers game, I think it was probably everyone's first reaction.
- 4:34Speaker 2: They were like, oh, there go Daniel Jones. Then you
- 4:37Speaker 2: watch it, and you're like, I don't know who could
- 4:39Speaker 2: have survived in that. That O-line has been probably one
- 4:44Speaker 2: of the best, if not the best, all season long.
- 4:46Speaker 2: They got destroyed. There was people in Daniel Jones' lap
- 4:51Speaker 2: all game long, and they also had the the benefit
- 4:54Speaker 2: of Jalen Ramsey being one of the few guys that's
- 4:58Speaker 2: big enough, strong enough, and athletic enough to cover Tyler Warren, who's.
- 5:02Speaker 1: A problem at tight end.
- 5:03Speaker 2: And then they got a bunch of good receivers. They
- 5:05Speaker 2: don't got no great guys. So I don't know. I
- 5:07Speaker 2: think to your point, this was a bad sign, but
- 5:09Speaker 2: it's not a referendum on the Colts' ceiling. And I
- 5:13Speaker 2: also don't think it's like a referendum on Daniel Jones.
- 5:16Speaker 2: I'm not sure that anybody short of the elite quarterbacks
- 5:19Speaker 2: and maybe even them could have done anything with the
- 5:21Speaker 2: way that that run game was destroyed in a way
- 5:23Speaker 2: that that pass protection was getting just run through.
- 5:27Speaker 1: I am struggling with the idea that the last time
- 5:30Speaker 1: I saw Daniel Jones, he was terrible and not young.
- 5:34Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 5:34Speaker 1: And that suddenly all of this flips up because the
- 5:37Speaker 1: other example of this obviously is Sam Darnold, who was
- 5:40Speaker 1: good for 16 games last year and then flat out
- 5:44Speaker 1: awful for two games but this year i don't i
- 5:50Speaker 1: he's making it really really difficult for me to keep
- 5:52Speaker 1: being right right you know i mean like he looks
- 5:55Speaker 1: excellent this year now granted he got dudes to throw
- 5:58Speaker 1: the ball to like let us be clear about that
- 6:00Speaker 1: but the throws are there to be made and he's
- 6:02Speaker 1: the guy who's making the throws and look People have
- 6:06Speaker 1: made the jokes about, oh, man, those New York teams
- 6:09Speaker 1: wrote those guys off for dead. So did other people. Like,
- 6:13Speaker 1: nobody has to apologize for saying, hey, we're out on
- 6:17Speaker 1: Daniel Jones. They gave him, what, six years to try
- 6:19Speaker 1: to get that right? Sam Darnold got plenty of time
- 6:23Speaker 1: with the Jets, and it was so bad. Like, they
- 6:25Speaker 1: gave him more time than he necessarily was owed in this.
- 6:29Speaker 3: But I'm looking around at this. Matt Jones, who doesn't
- 6:31Speaker 3: look terrible anymore.
- 6:32Speaker 1: Do we have to, like, change the way that we
- 6:36Speaker 1: evaluate what the arc of growth is for a quarterback.
- 6:41Speaker 1: Because look, the salary structure doesn't really allow it. You
- 6:43Speaker 1: need to see some real signs by year three. before
- 6:45Speaker 1: you start investing some money. But think about how many
- 6:48Speaker 1: of these slow creep guys are still going in the NFL.
- 6:51Speaker 1: Like he hasn't been good this year, but like Geno
- 6:53Speaker 1: Smith being an example, a very extreme case. But these
- 6:57Speaker 1: guys that we saw be terrible young.
- 6:59Speaker 3: And by the way, back in the day, that used
- 7:01Speaker 3: to be it. Drew Brees was terrible for three years.
- 7:04Speaker 1: What they don't tell you about Warren Moon is he
- 7:05Speaker 1: won all them games up there in Canada and all
- 7:07Speaker 1: those great cups. And he came to the NFL and
- 7:10Speaker 1: it was not sweet for a couple of years. Like,
- 7:12Speaker 1: and I think it took him almost damn near 30
- 7:13Speaker 1: years old. Before he started looking like a Hall of
- 7:16Speaker 1: Fame caliber quarterback. Like, I don't know what you're supposed
- 7:19Speaker 1: to do anymore with these cats.
- 7:21Speaker 2: It's I mean, there's so many things in here. So
- 7:23Speaker 2: I think that there's it's hard to be able to
- 7:25Speaker 2: understand exactly how to evaluate a quarterback when there are
- 7:28Speaker 2: so many other variables that impact the quarterback. I think
- 7:31Speaker 2: even the Giants ownership at one point said we ain't
- 7:34Speaker 2: give Daniel Jones a real chance. which is probably fair.
- 7:38Speaker 2: But also, there's some limitations on his game. So there's
- 7:41Speaker 2: different places.
- 7:41Speaker 3: Other people have had worse chances than they gave him.
- 7:44Speaker 1: You know what I mean?
- 7:45Speaker 2: Yeah, true. But other people... have been better. So I
- 7:50Speaker 2: think this is the question with them is trying to
- 7:53Speaker 2: figure out, and it's almost impossible to disentangle all these
- 7:56Speaker 2: different variables. You as an economist can recognize a situation
- 7:59Speaker 2: like this that is just so many different factors. Like
- 8:03Speaker 2: right now, you talk about looking at the teams that
- 8:05Speaker 2: you beat. we get hype about teams that go 10
- 8:09Speaker 2: and one and then fall apart. And then people yell
- 8:12Speaker 2: at us or anyone else who's like, but we got
- 8:14Speaker 2: to look at who they beat or look at how
- 8:16Speaker 2: they win. And like with the Steelers, I think Steelers
- 8:18Speaker 2: fans want to say the defense is back. And I
- 8:20Speaker 2: tell them like, look, Y'all won the turnover margin by
- 8:23Speaker 2: five and won the game by seven. Let's not get
- 8:26Speaker 2: too excited. Y'all won the turnover margin by four against
- 8:30Speaker 2: the Patriots. Won the game by seven. Let's let's chill
- 8:33Speaker 2: out and relax. So there's so many because the season
- 8:36Speaker 2: is short relatively as far as number of games are concerned.
- 8:39Speaker 2: It's only like 50 or 60 plays in a game.
- 8:41Speaker 2: It's really hard to be able to have enough data
- 8:45Speaker 2: to make a decision. And also, coaching is so important,
- 8:48Speaker 2: especially for the quarterback. No one is getting drafted in
- 8:50Speaker 2: the NFL, particularly in the first round, if they don't
- 8:52Speaker 2: have some ability. And if your ability doesn't match up
- 8:55Speaker 2: with what is around you or with the mind of
- 8:58Speaker 2: the person who's designing the offense, and then on top
- 9:00Speaker 2: of it, these kids is 22. Like, you're 22, you're
- 9:04Speaker 2: in the NFL. Like, there's so many things going on that...
- 9:11Speaker 2: Give me six years or seven years in New York
- 9:14Speaker 2: City at 22 with some money in my pocket starting quarterback,
- 9:18Speaker 2: and then you send me to Indianapolis. No disrespect, Indianapolis,
- 9:22Speaker 2: but that playbook looking a lot more interesting when you're
- 9:24Speaker 2: not in the world's most interesting city. So, I don't know.
- 9:30Speaker 2: There's so many other factors that it's hard to tell.
- 9:34Speaker 2: It's a page turner.
- 9:35Speaker 1: I couldn't put it down.
- 9:36Speaker 2: Yeah. Watching film is a little easier with everything closed
- 9:42Speaker 2: at midnight.
- 9:43Speaker 1: Turn that shit up.
- 9:44Speaker 2: Turn that shit up.
- 9:46Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 9:48Speaker 2: So I don't know. There's so many things. It's impossible
- 9:50Speaker 2: to know. And I think Kyler Murray is a guy
- 9:52Speaker 2: who's coming up on this situation also. And the one
- 9:54Speaker 2: thing I'll say before we move on to anything else
- 9:56Speaker 2: about the difference between danger. and Sam Darnold right now
- 10:01Speaker 2: is Sam Darnold is doing it without the help of
- 10:04Speaker 2: a running game, which is like a really dominant running game,
- 10:07Speaker 2: which is particularly impressive. Daniel Jones is getting three, four
- 10:11Speaker 2: explosive plays a game, and teams coming in deciding like,
- 10:16Speaker 2: you know how we're going to stop them? We're going
- 10:18Speaker 2: to stop Taylor, people are coming into the Seahawks game like, man,
- 10:23Speaker 2: how can we slow down Sam Darnold? He's still putting
- 10:26Speaker 2: up numbers.
- 10:27Speaker 1: Jonathan Taylor with the argument for being the most underrated
- 10:31Speaker 1: football player of all time. And I know that sounds
- 10:35Speaker 1: like an extreme thing, but I'm just going to make
- 10:37Speaker 1: this point. I want to say he ran for 6,000
- 10:40Speaker 1: yards in three years at Wisconsin. And 25 years ago,
- 10:46Speaker 1: You're on a Wheaties box for being that guy. Like
- 10:48Speaker 1: he wins a Heisman, 2,000 yards will get you a
- 10:50Speaker 1: Heisman trophy, right? Like in another time, he comes out
- 10:54Speaker 1: of college, super famous, and he's been excellent as a
- 10:59Speaker 1: running back.
- 11:00Speaker 3: Once he got to the NFL.
- 11:01Speaker 1: Like there's a different time where he is as big
- 11:03Speaker 1: a star as anybody else. he never won no Heisman
- 11:07Speaker 1: off of doing that. And he's just like, he's probably
- 11:09Speaker 1: going to be offensive player of the year this year.
- 11:12Speaker 1: He is the centerpiece of an NFL offense, which running
- 11:14Speaker 1: backs typically do not get to be, but we do
- 11:16Speaker 1: not talk about him. Like we talk about Saquon Barkley.
- 11:18Speaker 1: Maybe that's because he did not play for the giants, right?
- 11:22Speaker 1: Like play in the New York market, but Taylor, Taylor Soko,
- 11:26Speaker 1: and we just don't treat him like Mr.
- 11:29Speaker 3: Soko.
- 11:30Speaker 1: But I want to say you can often tell the
- 11:34Speaker 1: difference between the that person's bad.
- 11:39Speaker 3: And this situation is bad.
- 11:41Speaker 2: Right. Right.
- 11:42Speaker 1: You can see when it's a combination of the two.
- 11:43Speaker 1: You can often see when neither is the case.
- 11:46Speaker 2: Right.
- 11:48Speaker 1: When people, you know, get a little frustrated with me
- 11:50Speaker 1: about Jalen Hurts. I see a guy that's largely been
- 11:52Speaker 1: in great situation, but he himself is what he is.
- 11:55Speaker 2: Right. Right.
- 11:56Speaker 1: Daniel Jones looked bad in bad situations. Sam Darnold looked
- 12:00Speaker 1: bad in bad situations. They just looked absolutely bad. I
- 12:05Speaker 1: still think It's going to come down to what it
- 12:07Speaker 1: came down to last year, one of them games with
- 12:09Speaker 1: Sam Darnold, and he is going to wet himself because
- 12:12Speaker 1: that is what Sam Darnold has done under those circumstances.
- 12:15Speaker 1: I seen Daniel Jones be the starting quarterback in a
- 12:17Speaker 1: winning playoff game one time.
- 12:19Speaker 2: True. Told you that thing. He sure did. Like 150
- 12:22Speaker 2: on the ground.
- 12:24Speaker 3: He sure did.
- 12:24Speaker 2: But let me tell you this.
- 12:26Speaker 1: I see what them cats is doing. I see how
- 12:28Speaker 1: it's turned around for them. And you know who needs
- 12:30Speaker 1: to be watching them and thinking about it every day?
- 12:33Speaker 1: Anthony Richardson.
- 12:34Speaker 3: That's who.
- 12:35Speaker 1: You know, and look, I think, I don't remember if
- 12:37Speaker 1: you and I have talked about this, but I, with
- 12:40Speaker 1: limited data, firmly believe this.
- 12:43Speaker 3: The Trey Lance time is coming.
- 12:46Speaker 1: Somebody's going to throw a fourth round pick or something
- 12:48Speaker 1: like that at him after these years with Harbaugh. And
- 12:52Speaker 1: like preseason Trey Lance has looked a lot better as
- 12:54Speaker 1: a charger than he did as a 49er. Fair.
- 12:58Speaker 2: Also, these are two very unique players that you're talking about.
- 13:03Speaker 2: The rare situation of Being bad in college and still
- 13:08Speaker 2: getting drafted high.
- 13:09Speaker 1: Yes.
- 13:10Speaker 3: So, like, I get. Yeah, that's what Richard said about Lance.
- 13:14Speaker 2: Yeah. I mean, Lance.
- 13:17Speaker 1: I mean, Lance had like a 40 touchdown, one interception
- 13:19Speaker 1: season as a sophomore and then just didn't play as
- 13:21Speaker 1: a junior.
- 13:22Speaker 2: You got a lot more respect.
- 13:25Speaker 3: I'm saying we can't say he was bad.
- 13:27Speaker 2: Yeah, that's fair. That's fair. That's fair. All right. Yeah,
- 13:29Speaker 2: that's fair. I mean, it was, that was the COVID
- 13:32Speaker 2: year and all that stuff. I think people chalk it
- 13:34Speaker 2: up to that too. And we also have, he didn't
- 13:36Speaker 2: bless that. He didn't play the COVID year. Right. And we,
- 13:39Speaker 2: the scouting and all that stuff was impacted by that.
- 13:42Speaker 2: And we also have the experience of him playing with
- 13:45Speaker 2: a guy who gets the best out of every quarterback
- 13:48Speaker 2: he's ever had. And Kyle Shanahan. I mean, I would
- 13:51Speaker 2: love to see both of those guys do their thing.
- 13:54Speaker 2: I think we got less reason to believe that it's
- 13:59Speaker 2: going to work for either them. And I think also
- 14:02Speaker 2: like we've had this black quarterback conversation a lot before.
- 14:06Speaker 2: There are criticisms of black quarterbacks that I'm willing to
- 14:09Speaker 2: entertain now that I was not willing to entertain in
- 14:13Speaker 2: the past. And I think some of those criticisms could
- 14:16Speaker 2: be fair. And that's why I was higher on this
- 14:19Speaker 2: year's Colts than I have been in a while because
- 14:21Speaker 2: I saw that. And Shane Steichen, a coach who, given
- 14:26Speaker 2: the right talent, can put players in positions that have
- 14:29Speaker 2: success as long as you can trust the guy to
- 14:32Speaker 2: consistently make the right decision and be accurate. And I
- 14:34Speaker 2: was like, all right, Daniel Jones can do that. And
- 14:38Speaker 2: I have no reason to believe that Anthony Richardson can
- 14:42Speaker 2: do that. And maybe he'll grow into it. Like, he'll
- 14:44Speaker 2: get better.
- 14:45Speaker 1: That, I think, is the point there. Not necessarily that
- 14:48Speaker 1: Anthony Richardson could do this at the exact time.
- 14:51Speaker 3: At this exact time.
- 14:52Speaker 1: But I wasn't as confident that Daniel Jones could do
- 14:55Speaker 1: the things that you were talking about prior to this.
- 14:58Speaker 1: I wasn't as confident that Sam Darnold could do the
- 15:01Speaker 1: things that you talked about prior to this.
- 15:03Speaker 3: It just seems like.
- 15:05Speaker 1: The growth arc for quarterbacks... It's just a little bit
- 15:08Speaker 1: longer than we give it. Matthew Stafford, I mean, granted,
- 15:11Speaker 1: Matthew Stafford is an otherworldly talent, but he's on a.
- 15:15Speaker 3: 17, 18-year growth arc.
- 15:17Speaker 1: It's still going. Like, I was right about him before,
- 15:22Speaker 1: and then he turned into something that you just didn't
- 15:24Speaker 1: think happened. It just keeps, you know, slowly but surely,
- 15:27Speaker 1: he just keeps, keeps, keeps getting.
- 15:29Speaker 3: Better at what he does.
- 15:30Speaker 1: And so I don't understand how this works with these dudes. Like,
- 15:33Speaker 1: how are you supposed to know when it's time to
- 15:35Speaker 1: cut bait?
- 15:36Speaker 2: So Matt Stafford, I would say, has been different. I
- 15:39Speaker 2: think Matt Stafford is kind of the definition of the
- 15:43Speaker 2: surroundings will improve things. And I think Matt Stafford was
- 15:47Speaker 2: always pretty good, and he was always kind of reckless
- 15:53Speaker 2: and trust his arm too much and would turn the
- 15:55Speaker 2: ball over. That hasn't really changed. It's just that the
- 15:58Speaker 2: support that's around him is so much better that He
- 16:01Speaker 2: doesn't have to be as aggressive and they can pick
- 16:03Speaker 2: him up and make plays for him. Sometimes I think
- 16:06Speaker 2: that's he kind of I don't say that he overachieved,
- 16:09Speaker 2: but I think his issues were exacerbated by the situation.
- 16:14Speaker 2: And the fact that he maintained the starter there and
- 16:16Speaker 2: maintained like a top half of the league quarterback while
- 16:21Speaker 2: he was in those situations, which weren't all bad.
- 16:24Speaker 3: But I mean, if only I got to throw to
- 16:25Speaker 3: Calvin Johnson, right?
- 16:28Speaker 1: Exactly.
- 16:28Speaker 2: But I mean, there was other issues there than just
- 16:31Speaker 2: Calvin Johnson. So, I mean, I think he has definitely
- 16:34Speaker 2: gotten better, but his issues haven't gone away. It's not like,
- 16:38Speaker 2: like Josh Allen, where he don't quite do those things anymore. Matt, Matt.
- 16:43Speaker 3: I'll give you a chance. He's Carson Palmer. I've seen
- 16:46Speaker 3: people get mad at me for making that.
- 16:48Speaker 1: Call, but I'm like, no, no, no, no, no.
- 16:49Speaker 3: That is exactly it.
- 16:51Speaker 1: Look exactly like a quarterback until they look like a
- 16:54Speaker 1: running back.
- 16:55Speaker 2: Yeah. and the greatest too like they both got arms
- 16:59Speaker 2: that will make you like your jaw drop but then
- 17:02Speaker 2: sometimes just like hey let me see what they doing
- 17:05Speaker 2: over there let me throw it over there and see
- 17:07Speaker 2: see how they feel about catching the ball one once
- 17:09Speaker 2: every once.
- 17:10Speaker 4: In a while yeah no now you mentioned kyle murray
- 17:16Speaker 4: now this kyle murray thing is interesting right because you
- 17:18Speaker 4: and i talked about this a little bit before the
- 17:20Speaker 4: show And for those of you who don't know, they
- 17:22Speaker 4: put Kyler Murray on injury reserve, and he don't sound
- 17:24Speaker 4: like he that hurt.
- 17:25Speaker 1: It sounds like he'd be ready to play any day now,
- 17:28Speaker 1: and that day they're waiting on is when Jacoby Percet
- 17:31Speaker 1: stops playing well.
- 17:32Speaker 3: And, I mean, you correct me if I'm wrong.
- 17:34Speaker 1: He's been cool. Yeah. Like, I don't feel like he's
- 17:37Speaker 1: been excellent. You're talking about Jacoby now. Yeah, Jacoby Percet, yeah.
- 17:40Speaker 1: But he's been all right. However, Marvin Harrison Jr. was
- 17:43Speaker 1: looking like a flat-out bust, and now he doesn't look
- 17:46Speaker 1: like a bust anymore. They've won some games. And, and, and, and, and,
- 17:51Speaker 1: and important point here. People don't like that little dude.
- 17:56Speaker 1: They don't.
- 17:58Speaker 3: It is who the story I've told you that I
- 18:01Speaker 3: don't tell in front of people. People don't like Kyler Murray.
- 18:05Speaker 1: This is a this is a he he a different
- 18:08Speaker 1: sort of cat. that is definitely part of what is
- 18:11Speaker 1: going on here. But I am hearing people making this
- 18:14Speaker 1: argument now that, Hey man, maybe they just stick with him.
- 18:17Speaker 1: And is Jacoby, I guess my question is, is Jacoby
- 18:20Speaker 1: Percet's growth arc long enough that he could really be
- 18:22Speaker 1: better than Kyler Murray right now?
- 18:24Speaker 2: No, I mean, he could be better for what they're
- 18:28Speaker 2: doing right there. But I think Jacoby Percet is like the,
- 18:32Speaker 2: he is, isn't he participate in those backup quarterback commercials
- 18:36Speaker 2: for some insurance company? Like, Jacoby, even Jacoby know who
- 18:41Speaker 2: Jacoby is at this point. So I think that Jacoby
- 18:43Speaker 2: as a backup quarterback should be like, is a lot,
- 18:47Speaker 2: his results are going to be predictable. There's no like
- 18:49Speaker 2: super crazy high end. There's not going to be super
- 18:51Speaker 2: crazy low end. The problem with Kyler Murray is you're
- 18:54Speaker 2: paying him and you're expecting him to be able to
- 18:58Speaker 2: give you more consistent high end. And he can't do
- 19:01Speaker 2: that in part because of like the physical limitations. At
- 19:04Speaker 2: least I'm assuming that's the reason why he doesn't attack
- 19:06Speaker 2: the middle of the field, which is, Like, it's very
- 19:09Speaker 2: limiting on offense. And he makes up for it with
- 19:11Speaker 2: some explosiveness, but he doesn't make up for it nearly enough.
- 19:14Speaker 2: And I think this goes back to, like, another criticism
- 19:17Speaker 2: that's been made of him that we all got annoyed
- 19:20Speaker 2: when they put that clause in the contract. Maybe we
- 19:23Speaker 2: could have– about him needing to study and whatever. Like, yeah,
- 19:26Speaker 2: maybe the clause shouldn't be in the contract, but they
- 19:28Speaker 2: ain't just pull out a clause out their ass that
- 19:31Speaker 2: ain't never been used before. They didn't just be like, hey,
- 19:34Speaker 2: you know what? We want to innovate.
- 19:37Speaker 3: Like– Yeah, the clause was stupid, but the reason was real.
- 19:41Speaker 2: Right. So I think those things. And so the best
- 19:45Speaker 2: way that I've tried to think about this is sitting
- 19:48Speaker 2: him down for a little bit. Maybe this is your
- 19:51Speaker 2: last chance, your last effort to get his attention and
- 19:55Speaker 2: try to help correct whatever issues you have with him.
- 19:58Speaker 2: But I don't think sticking with Jacoby for the rest
- 20:01Speaker 2: of the season is like a great idea. All right.
- 20:05Speaker 3: Here is the Alonzo morning GIF.
- 20:09Speaker 1: You know what I mean?
- 20:10Speaker 3: The one of him sitting on the bench. And I'm
- 20:12Speaker 3: going to act it out myself.
- 20:16Speaker 1: They would never take no white man's job away to
- 20:19Speaker 1: give it to Jacoby Preset.
- 20:22Speaker 3: But Jacoby Preset still got a job.
- 20:28Speaker 1: Right? Like, look, you just... I've heard the way they
- 20:32Speaker 1: talk about Jacoby Preset, okay? I know how y'all feel
- 20:34Speaker 1: about Jacoby Preset. Like, I understand this. With all the
- 20:37Speaker 1: talent Kyler Murray has and everything else, you ain't bailing
- 20:40Speaker 1: out just that soon. However, there was a time when
- 20:43Speaker 1: Jacoby Preset would be somewhere parking cars or pumping gas,
- 20:47Speaker 1: but nope, he's up there Keeping the seat warm for
- 20:51Speaker 1: Kyler Murray. And Kyler Murray needs to understand they didn't
- 20:54Speaker 1: want to have to go to Jacoby Percet because that
- 20:56Speaker 1: is a quarter black, which is what you do when
- 20:59Speaker 1: you want to support the starter. But at the same time,
- 21:02Speaker 1: he is also an actual factual backup. So just in case,
- 21:06Speaker 1: he did put them in the situation. He's the best
- 21:10Speaker 1: of both worlds if you got a black quarterback.
- 21:11Speaker 3: Now that I think about it, that's what they need behind.
- 21:14Speaker 1: They need him behind that Jordan Love.
- 21:16Speaker 2: I didn't realize. So I knew we were going to
- 21:19Speaker 2: touch on this, but not until this moment did I
- 21:23Speaker 2: realize how revolutionary this really is. In a time where.
- 21:29Speaker 1: Progress is hard to find. Yes.
- 21:33Speaker 2: Because it's not just... The idea that you have to
- 21:37Speaker 2: get a black quarterback in order not to have people,
- 21:40Speaker 2: fans behind, when you have a starting black quarterback, have
- 21:43Speaker 2: fans asking for the backup quarterback. That was a step
- 21:47Speaker 2: that was shocking to me. And that came after the
- 21:49Speaker 2: idea of Jacoby Brissett as a concept even existing. Like
- 21:55Speaker 2: you are a journeyman career backup black quarterback. That is
- 22:00Speaker 2: all huge and amazing. But the point that you just
- 22:04Speaker 2: reminded me of is we've gotten to a point where
- 22:08Speaker 2: there is clamoring for the backup black quarterback to start.
- 22:14Speaker 2: I never thought I'd see the day that that clamoring
- 22:17Speaker 2: would exist. Can you imagine if there was at one
- 22:19Speaker 2: point there was a white starter that And people was like, hey,
- 22:23Speaker 2: you got to get your Kobe percent in there.
- 22:25Speaker 1: I was about to say, I don't think this has
- 22:27Speaker 1: happened since Randall Cunningham took Ron Jaworski's job.
- 22:32Speaker 2: Randall Cunningham is a world-class sprinter.
- 22:38Speaker 1: That is correct.
- 22:40Speaker 2: That is correct.
- 22:41Speaker 1: That is correct. I can't remember whose job Vince Young
- 22:45Speaker 1: eventually took.
- 22:46Speaker 2: You know what I'm saying?
- 22:47Speaker 1: But the difference is, it's different when it's the young
- 22:50Speaker 1: hotshot that we're talking about.
- 22:53Speaker 3: We're just talking about Jacoby.
- 22:56Speaker 2: I mean, I think it's fair to remember that you
- 22:58Speaker 2: often point out the Cam Newton story. That's what we're
- 23:01Speaker 2: talking about. Yes, yes, yes, yes.
- 23:03Speaker 3: When they were calling for Derek Anderson.
- 23:05Speaker 2: Like, like, yes.
- 23:08Speaker 3: So put it like this.
- 23:10Speaker 1: The Colts brought Daniel Jones in to take Anthony Richardson's job.
- 23:15Speaker 3: That was the point.
- 23:16Speaker 1: You don't pay people $ 14 million in the NFL to
- 23:18Speaker 1: not play, right? They brought him in to take that
- 23:22Speaker 1: young man's job.
- 23:23Speaker 2: Okay. Okay.
- 23:25Speaker 1: That is not why they brought Jacoby Brissett to the
- 23:27Speaker 1: Arizona Cardinals. He about to be the start of a
- 23:31Speaker 1: popular demand.
- 23:33Speaker 2: It's amazing to me. I had never seen that happen before.
- 23:37Speaker 2: It's not a thing that happens where they have a
- 23:39Speaker 2: young quarterback who they've invested in, and his contract is
- 23:42Speaker 2: too onerous for them to even trade. That's how much
- 23:45Speaker 2: they committed to him.
- 23:46Speaker 3: They've given it a try.
- 23:47Speaker 2: And they like, hey, maybe this IR need to be
- 23:50Speaker 2: extended a little bit.
- 23:52Speaker 1: They didn't just give him a try. They basically hired
- 23:55Speaker 1: a coach to draft him or they or they got
- 23:58Speaker 1: the coach like the relationship between he and Kingsbury. Who look,
- 24:02Speaker 1: it could have worked out better, but it could have
- 24:04Speaker 1: worked out way worse. But that was a ridiculous hire.
- 24:07Speaker 1: He just got fired at Texas Tech. They hired him there.
- 24:10Speaker 1: And then it's like, yo, Kyler Murray, I'm hitting my whole.
- 24:12Speaker 3: Career to you, buddy. OK, cool.
- 24:13Speaker 1: And then he left. And they're like, well, this next guy,
- 24:15Speaker 1: your career is hitched to him, too.
- 24:18Speaker 2: Yeah, and this next guy don't seem like... No, he's
- 24:22Speaker 2: had enough. Given some of the things that he's said
- 24:25Speaker 2: and done, I don't think he's going to be willing
- 24:29Speaker 2: to go without a fight. No, no, no, no.
- 24:32Speaker 3: He's not going to let Kyle Murray get him fired.
- 24:33Speaker 2: He's going to go ahead and get himself fired if
- 24:36Speaker 2: he gets fired.
- 24:37Speaker 1: When the coach makes the decision to go to Daniel
- 24:39Speaker 1: Jones or to go to Jacoby Percet, particularly those guys
- 24:43Speaker 1: that you're looking at as perhaps having a limited ceiling,
- 24:46Speaker 1: What you're saying is what he's not going to do
- 24:49Speaker 1: is get me fired. Zach Taylor being like, can we
- 24:52Speaker 1: get Joe Flacco, please? Because Jake Browning is not going
- 24:56Speaker 1: to get me fired. Joe Flacco might get me fired,
- 24:59Speaker 1: and that's fine. But I'm not going to let Anthony
- 25:02Speaker 1: Richardson get me fired. I see it coming down the pipe.
- 25:07Speaker 1: I'm not letting him get me fired.
- 25:10Speaker 2: He's like, your GM, was it Ballard? You got all
- 25:13Speaker 2: excited about all these. All these physical traits, you saw
- 25:17Speaker 2: Josh Allen and you gave him to me. But nah,
- 25:20Speaker 2: that ain't going to define my career. And Steichen has
- 25:23Speaker 2: shown that even if it don't work out there, he's
- 25:26Speaker 2: reminded people, yeah, I can do this. He'll get another shot.
- 25:29Speaker 2: And I think that's what Gannon is trying to do now.
- 25:32Speaker 1: At what point does Dave Canales say that I'm not
- 25:34Speaker 1: letting Bryce Young get me fired?
- 25:37Speaker 2: Yeah, I.
- 25:40Speaker 2: They winning out here. Rico going to save my job.
- 25:43Speaker 1: That's what I'm saying. Rico need to be the quarterback.
- 25:47Speaker 1: They're winning and I don't have a great answer for it.
- 25:50Speaker 1: But all the way around. The Bears, good thing they
- 25:52Speaker 1: got around to start winning some games because Ben Johnson
- 25:55Speaker 1: was going to have to ask the question, am I
- 25:57Speaker 1: going to let Kyler, let Caleb Williams get me fired?
- 26:01Speaker 1: So here's the thing, though. If Sam Darnold going to
- 26:03Speaker 1: have a real job now for a while and Daniel
- 26:05Speaker 1: Jones going to have a real job now for a while,
- 26:08Speaker 1: and hey, Jacoby Percet might be playing himself into a job,
- 26:11Speaker 1: but who the new Grim Reaper, right? Who's the new
- 26:13Speaker 1: guy that if you hear that your team, if you're
- 26:16Speaker 1: the starting quarterback and they have brought him in, Right.
- 26:19Speaker 1: Like Russell Wilson is now the new.
- 26:23Speaker 3: Like if they break him in. All right.
- 26:24Speaker 2: You straight. Yeah.
- 26:26Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 26:26Speaker 1: You good. But who. And it's funny because I was
- 26:29Speaker 1: going to say is what Kurt Warner was when the
- 26:32Speaker 1: Giants got him and what they wanted Kurt Warner to
- 26:34Speaker 1: be when he went to the Cardinals.
- 26:35Speaker 3: But he just ate that light it up.
- 26:37Speaker 1: He was like, no, give me that.
- 26:39Speaker 2: I mean, Carson Wentz had his chance to be that guy.
- 26:42Speaker 2: He did. He bounced around. He followed the same trajectory.
- 26:46Speaker 3: Lots of people gave it a try.
- 26:48Speaker 1: He turned into Jacoby Percet. You'd much rather have Jacoby
- 26:50Speaker 1: Percet now than to have Carson Wentz.
- 26:53Speaker 2: It was like Baker. The journey Baker went on to
- 26:56Speaker 2: where it was so bad, a bunch of different places,
- 26:58Speaker 2: and Carson Wentz was like, yep, finally got my opportunity.
- 27:02Speaker 2: And it didn't quite work out, and they tried to
- 27:05Speaker 2: hurt that man. Oh, no, he kept wanting to go
- 27:07Speaker 2: back in. Yes. I mean, it ain't Tyron, is it?
- 27:10Speaker 2: I'm trying to think.
- 27:11Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 27:11Speaker 1: If I say who does Tua need to be looking
- 27:13Speaker 1: out for? Because Tyron, I think, got too old.
- 27:15Speaker 2: Yeah, I think Tua. Yeah.
- 27:20Speaker 1: Well, who's the guy that's going to like fall from
- 27:22Speaker 1: wherever they are to then come back and become that person? Right.
- 27:26Speaker 3: Like maybe you need somebody to fall off of. Look,
- 27:30Speaker 3: you know what it's going to be? It's going to
- 27:31Speaker 3: be Mac Jones.
- 27:32Speaker 1: Because they've already given Purdy that money. Now, are Mac
- 27:35Speaker 1: Jones and Brock Purdy the same person? It's on the board.
- 27:38Speaker 3: But Purdy already has a contract.
- 27:41Speaker 2: How many years did Mac sign that contract for? Because
- 27:44Speaker 2: he free right now. Somebody going to give him a
- 27:47Speaker 2: pretty penny to come in to make the starter nervous.
- 27:50Speaker 1: I have a sneaky suspicion that I know where Mac
- 27:52Speaker 1: Jones is going to be the quarterback next year. The
- 27:55Speaker 1: New York Jets.
- 27:56Speaker 5: Yes.
- 27:59Speaker 1: Hey, man, look, they got to show some signs of
- 28:01Speaker 1: life soon. Like, they've got all these assets to go
- 28:04Speaker 1: get a quarterback, but in the meantime, tween time, if
- 28:07Speaker 1: you can go get Mac Jones for $ 14 million to
- 28:10Speaker 1: hold it down, hey, he may be okay. I don't
- 28:14Speaker 1: believe this.
- 28:14Speaker 3: I watched Kyle Shanahan do this with Jimmy Garoppolo.
- 28:17Speaker 2: Yeah. Kirk Cousins, it ain't him. He could have been him.
- 28:21Speaker 2: I don't know. I think Mac Jones is the only one.
- 28:27Speaker 2: I think that... Trevor Lawrence going to be coming for–
- 28:32Speaker 2: might be looking for a new city in the next
- 28:34Speaker 2: couple of seasons. But he's going to get a starting job. Yeah,
- 28:37Speaker 2: he's going to get a starting job. He's going to
- 28:38Speaker 2: get a starting job somewhere else, right?
- 28:40Speaker 1: I guess what I'm really trying to say in all
- 28:42Speaker 1: of this is, if you keep working hard, Spencer Rattler,
- 28:46Speaker 1: and keep at it, it may take a couple years.
- 28:49Speaker 3: But, I mean, he has talents, right?
- 28:52Speaker 1: He could become the boogeyman.
- 28:54Speaker 2: He could. And I wonder, like, it probably would never
- 28:56Speaker 2: change just because of, like, supply and demand, but– if
- 29:00Speaker 2: we actually ever start responding, like paying quarterbacks, not based
- 29:06Speaker 2: on the timing that they come up, but more based
- 29:09Speaker 2: on what you project them to be like, I wouldn't
- 29:10Speaker 2: advocate for that. I don't care. Like they make the
- 29:13Speaker 2: idea that the cap can't be manipulated. If you pay
- 29:15Speaker 2: a bunch of money, that's horse shit. Like the Eagles
- 29:18Speaker 2: are proving that right now, if you got an owner
- 29:20Speaker 2: who's willing to commit that money, you can do it.
- 29:23Speaker 2: But also like, it does like, When you are connected
- 29:27Speaker 2: to a player the way that they're connected to Kyler
- 29:28Speaker 2: Murray or they are in Miami to Tua, it changed.
- 29:31Speaker 2: Did you see Tua's pregame speech before that Thursday night game?
- 29:33Speaker 2: I didn't get to talk to you.
- 29:35Speaker 1: I did not see his pre. I was unaware that
- 29:37Speaker 1: there was a pregame speech. I try to avoid it
- 29:39Speaker 1: when he talks. It doesn't seem to be good for him.
- 29:42Speaker 2: Yeah. It's good for content, though. You might want to
- 29:45Speaker 2: check that thing out.
- 29:47Speaker 1: Okay, well, we got a break here, and we're going
- 29:49Speaker 1: to take it. And while we take it, I'm going
- 29:50Speaker 1: to search for this, and then we will come back.
- 29:53Speaker 2: You got it.
- 29:55Speaker 3: The holidays are here. Let's be honest.
- 29:58Speaker 1: That means we don't always have the healthiest diet, which
- 30:01Speaker 1: makes it hard for our bodies to get the key
- 30:03Speaker 1: nutrients they need.
- 30:04Speaker 3: That's where AG1 comes in. But what is AG1?
- 30:09Speaker 1: AG1 isn't just another supplement. It's a daily micro habit
- 30:12Speaker 1: that supports whole body health in one scoop. It's clinically
- 30:16Speaker 1: shown to support gut health and fill in common nutrient gaps.
- 30:20Speaker 1: With five probiotic strains and 75 plus vitamins and minerals,
- 30:24Speaker 1: AG1 replaces the need for a multivitamin, probiotics, and more.
- 30:28Speaker 1: For less than $ 3 per day with a subscription, you
- 30:31Speaker 1: are getting more than $ 7 worth of daily nutritional support.
- 30:35Speaker 3: Head to drinkag1.
- 30:36Speaker 1: Com slash bomani to get a free welcome kit, including
- 30:41Speaker 1: a bottle of vitamin D and free AG1 travel packs
- 30:44Speaker 1: when you first subscribe.
- 30:46Speaker 3: That's drinkag1. com slash Beaumont. All right, we're back with Dominique Foxworth.
- 30:53Speaker 1: I watched Tua's speech where he said that it's going
- 30:58Speaker 1: to be 60 minutes of pain, but really four hours.
- 31:01Speaker 1: And I understand the point that he was trying to make,
- 31:08Speaker 1: but it reminds me once, I heard a basketball coach
- 31:12Speaker 1: once give a talk to a freshman team after they
- 31:15Speaker 1: had played poorly And he explained to them that there
- 31:18Speaker 1: was no I in team. And he also said that
- 31:21Speaker 1: there wasn't a me in team. I mean, there is
- 31:24Speaker 1: a me, but you would have to take the M
- 31:26Speaker 1: all the way from the back and put it up
- 31:28Speaker 1: to the front. And he just went a little bit
- 31:32Speaker 1: too far, right? He just needed to stick to the script.
- 31:35Speaker 1: Tua needed to stop talking to people. Maybe Tua could
- 31:37Speaker 1: become the boogeyman at some point. Because what he does
- 31:40Speaker 1: strike me as, hold on, hear me out. He can
- 31:45Speaker 1: mess around. and come to a place and be a
- 31:47Speaker 1: backup and get in there and have, like, three really
- 31:50Speaker 1: good games. He could do that and then, like, make
- 31:54Speaker 1: it dicey for whoever. Look, man, I'm watching Jacoby Percet
- 31:56Speaker 1: about to take somebody's job, dog. I can't be so
- 31:58Speaker 1: sure that Tua can't do it.
- 32:00Speaker 2: So it's not about Tua's ability. It's about Tua's health. Yeah.
- 32:05Speaker 2: I think the Dolphins, because of what he did there
- 32:09Speaker 2: when he put up crazy numbers, I think they were
- 32:12Speaker 2: willing to risk what comes along with, Tua, and he
- 32:16Speaker 2: hasn't had any more concussions. But I think that every
- 32:20Speaker 2: other team, there is a distinct fear that he could
- 32:25Speaker 2: get knocked out in a way that they'd be uncomfortable with.
- 32:28Speaker 2: I just don't imagine that anybody, especially without the high-end
- 32:32Speaker 2: coming off of some high-end production, that anybody's like, yeah,
- 32:34Speaker 2: sign me up for being attached to that.
- 32:37Speaker 1: I know, but you sign him up as the backup.
- 32:41Speaker 3: He's here to let.
- 32:43Speaker 1: The starter know.
- 32:45Speaker 2: Can I ask you a question? If you are... That's
- 32:48Speaker 2: the backup? Like, I don't know. I try my best
- 32:51Speaker 2: to do this job in a way that, like, if somebody...
- 32:54Speaker 2: This is my family, or when I've been talked about,
- 32:56Speaker 2: if I was okay about it. I don't want to be...
- 32:59Speaker 2: You know what I mean? But, Bomani, you know what
- 33:02Speaker 2: a backup quarterback is, like, supposed to be kind of durable? Like,
- 33:07Speaker 2: you want a backup... Right? You know what I mean? Yeah. Like,
- 33:10Speaker 2: you're not going to go get this guy who... seems
- 33:15Speaker 2: to be concussion prone and also refuses to put on
- 33:19Speaker 2: a guardian cap i don't know if it would help
- 33:20Speaker 2: or not but i mean i would try anything and
- 33:23Speaker 2: that's that's your backup is.
- 33:25Speaker 1: Hey i i understand your point i also safe space
- 33:30Speaker 1: right i want you to close your eyes.
- 33:35Speaker 3: And i want you to think about and imagine to
- 33:37Speaker 3: the tongue of our lower.
- 33:39Speaker 1: Running around with that big-ass guardian cap helmet on and
- 33:43Speaker 1: tell me that.
- 33:43Speaker 2: You don't understand why he won't do it. I completely
- 33:47Speaker 2: understand why he wouldn't do it. I completely understand why
- 33:52Speaker 2: he wouldn't do it. It's the same reason why he
- 33:54Speaker 2: says 60 minutes of pain. There's something about toughness and
- 33:57Speaker 2: coolness that go hand in hand. And there's something about
- 34:01Speaker 2: putting that cap on that feels– and there's something about
- 34:04Speaker 2: stupidity and toughness that go hand in hand.
- 34:07Speaker 1: The Guardian cap is another example, much like pepper spray,
- 34:11Speaker 1: where its analog is granny free throws.
- 34:14Speaker 2: Yes.
- 34:15Speaker 1: Everybody knows that they're effective. But if they're so effective,
- 34:19Speaker 1: you would tell everybody to wear it.
- 34:21Speaker 3: But you don't.
- 34:21Speaker 1: You only tell the people who've already got the egg
- 34:23Speaker 1: scrambled to wear it because you.
- 34:25Speaker 3: Know it looks ridiculous.
- 34:26Speaker 2: It's another one. When I was in the league, there
- 34:30Speaker 2: was newer helmets that were supposed to be better. And
- 34:33Speaker 2: you know what I did? I kept my old shit.
- 34:36Speaker 2: My old shit wasn't bloated like that one. It ain't
- 34:39Speaker 2: look funny. I'm not better than any of them. I
- 34:43Speaker 2: get it. I wouldn't put it on. Yeah, I got you.
- 34:47Speaker 3: I got something funny for you.
- 34:48Speaker 1: Now that we're on a good chuckle roll, I think
- 34:51Speaker 1: I need to continue with this.
- 34:53Speaker 3: And you said that you have not heard this story.
- 34:55Speaker 1: I am going to read it to you because I
- 34:58Speaker 1: don't want to miss out on any details, okay?
- 35:00Speaker 3: This is from ESPN.com, the homie Greg Wyshynski.
- 35:05Speaker 1: Washington Capitals star Alex Ovechkin made hockey history Wednesday night,
- 35:09Speaker 1: becoming the first NHL player to score 900 goals.
- 35:11Speaker 3: Ovechkin was.
- 35:13Speaker 1: Eventually given that record-setting puck.
- 35:17Speaker 3: Once St.
- 35:17Speaker 1: Louis Blues goalie Jordan Bennington stopped hiding it in his pants. Yes. So,
- 35:27Speaker 1: I think this part is also worth noting in how
- 35:29Speaker 1: we got here.
- 35:30Speaker 2: What?
- 35:31Speaker 1: In the second period of the 6-1 Capitals route, Ovechkin
- 35:34Speaker 1: intercepted Bennington's pass to teammate Nathan Walker. The puck eventually
- 35:38Speaker 1: found Washington defenseman Jakub Sienk. for a shot from the
- 35:43Speaker 1: point that bounced off the end boards. Ovechkin collected the
- 35:46Speaker 1: rebound and quickly slid a backhand shot into the Blues
- 35:49Speaker 1: net for his third goal of the season. As the
- 35:53Speaker 1: Capitals celebrated with Ovechkin, Bennington nudged the puck out of
- 35:56Speaker 1: the net with his.
- 35:56Speaker 3: Stick and picked it up with his goalie glove.
- 35:59Speaker 1: He tucked his stick under his arm, pulled his hand
- 36:02Speaker 1: out of his blocker and plucked the glove, the puck
- 36:05Speaker 1: from his glove.
- 36:06Speaker 3: He then tucked the disc into the back of his
- 36:08Speaker 3: pants in full view of television cameras.
- 36:14Speaker 2: Hold on.
- 36:15Speaker 1: Later, linesman Michel Cormier had a discussion with Bennington in
- 36:19Speaker 1: his crease, after which the Blues goalie reached back into
- 36:23Speaker 1: his pants and handed the 900th goal puck to the official.
- 36:30Speaker 2: Is he just doing a bit? Maybe he's just doing
- 36:34Speaker 2: a bit. He's trying to be funny. Because you have
- 36:37Speaker 2: to know that you're not going to get away with it.
- 36:39Speaker 1: It was....
- 36:41Speaker 2: I don't understand people, man.
- 36:42Speaker 3: I don't understand people. I feel like it would have
- 36:47Speaker 3: been well within Ovechkin's right.
- 36:51Speaker 1: Like, come on, we got to do it, but you
- 36:56Speaker 1: got to fight me and the squad.
- 37:00Speaker 3: I just caught you stealing my shit.
- 37:04Speaker 1: I think it's fair to say that, and look, I
- 37:06Speaker 1: know it isn't exactly Ovechkin's, but you knew what time
- 37:09Speaker 1: it was.
- 37:11Speaker 3: Were you thinking of selling it later?
- 37:12Speaker 1: Were you simply being a hater? How did you think
- 37:15Speaker 1: that you could slickly go about doing this while wearing
- 37:17Speaker 1: hockey pads and blockers and stuff?
- 37:20Speaker 3: But he straight tried to gaffle that.
- 37:24Speaker 1: And it reminds me of the time my brother tells
- 37:26Speaker 1: this story about this dude that tried, this is the 1980s,
- 37:30Speaker 1: so you'll understand, tried to get him for an answering
- 37:33Speaker 1: machine Like he tried to walk out of the party
- 37:36Speaker 1: with the answering machine. And I forget what he tried
- 37:38Speaker 1: to tuck it into. But when he got to the door,
- 37:40Speaker 1: it was this thud and the answering machine hit the
- 37:43Speaker 1: ground and they told him it was fine.
- 37:46Speaker 3: He could go ahead and take it.
- 37:47Speaker 1: But the next time they saw him, they needed to get,
- 37:49Speaker 1: he needed to have an answering machine on him or
- 37:50Speaker 1: you knew what time it was.
- 37:52Speaker 3: And they gave that dude like three on sites as
- 37:54Speaker 3: a result.
- 37:55Speaker 5: Right.
- 37:56Speaker 3: This feels like an on-site.
- 37:58Speaker 1: Like, I would have been, if I had known, if
- 37:59Speaker 1: you're Ovechkin and you know what is happening, I can't imagine.
- 38:03Speaker 3: How furious I would be.
- 38:04Speaker 1: Did you ever see that time Pablo tried to take
- 38:06Speaker 1: $ 100 out of my hand on TV?
- 38:08Speaker 2: No, I don't remember that.
- 38:10Speaker 1: Oh, this is early in the game, not game theory,
- 38:13Speaker 1: in the high noon days. And looking back, this was
- 38:17Speaker 1: a reckless activity in which we engage. But somebody had
- 38:21Speaker 1: done something involved in saying the alphabet backwards. And Pablo
- 38:25Speaker 1: was like, can you say the alphabet backwards? And I
- 38:28Speaker 1: somehow convinced him to put 100 actual dollars on the table.
- 38:33Speaker 1: And little did he know, my black ass has been
- 38:35Speaker 1: preparing for encounters with law enforcement for as long as
- 38:38Speaker 1: I can remember. And so I could easily do that.
- 38:42Speaker 3: I can do that right. Z-Y-X-W-V-U-T-S-R-Q-P-O-N-M-L-K-J-I-H-G-F-E-D-E.
- 38:52Speaker 1: C-B-A.
- 38:54Speaker 3: And you can watch the clip.
- 38:55Speaker 1: It washes over Pablo about halfway through that he got got. Right.
- 39:01Speaker 3: And so I picked the hundred dollars up off the table.
- 39:04Speaker 1: And I also realized at some point that Pablo misunderstood that.
- 39:09Speaker 3: And didn't think that $ 100 was on the line.
- 39:13Speaker 2: Oh, he thought he was doing a bit. Yeah, I guess.
- 39:15Speaker 1: I don't know what he thought. But I picked that
- 39:18Speaker 1: $ 100 off the table.
- 39:19Speaker 3: I'll be a jerk.
- 39:20Speaker 1: I'm fadding myself off with that $ 100.
- 39:22Speaker 3: I got it out there.
- 39:24Speaker 1: And it's a big.
- 39:26Speaker 3: Table, right? And we're sitting there on television.
- 39:29Speaker 1: And it's point he was on tilt I don't know
- 39:33Speaker 1: why but he tried to reach across the table and
- 39:38Speaker 1: take the money out of my hand and I pulled
- 39:41Speaker 1: it back but I realized in that moment my brain
- 39:46Speaker 1: does not register hey we're on television right as quickly.
- 39:50Speaker 3: As I would like it to.
- 39:52Speaker 1: We didn't have an incident, but my brain has a
- 39:56Speaker 1: very clear, this is what you do when somebody tries
- 39:59Speaker 1: to take money out of your hand. The flow chart
- 40:02Speaker 1: is unambiguous on what to do.
- 40:06Speaker 2: In your defense, to be fair to you, is rarely
- 40:09Speaker 2: in that mental checklist is, am I on TV right now? Right,
- 40:13Speaker 2: that's what I'm saying. It never dawned on me. I
- 40:16Speaker 2: was like, what? I pulled it back quick, but I
- 40:17Speaker 2: was like, what?
- 40:18Speaker 3: I say all that to say. If I watch somebody
- 40:20Speaker 3: steal from me out there.
- 40:22Speaker 1: In a world where fighting is perfectly appropriate, yo, we're
- 40:27Speaker 1: all coming. Like, if anybody on the team had seen that,
- 40:31Speaker 1: we all, hey, hey, partner.
- 40:33Speaker 3: Off that.
- 40:34Speaker 2: Off that. It's funny because my immediate reaction is not that.
- 40:38Speaker 2: Because it's just so stupid. If I saw this, I
- 40:44Speaker 2: would shrug my shoulders if I'm Ovechkin. Like, what this
- 40:47Speaker 2: fool think he doing? Like, you think you're getting away
- 40:50Speaker 2: with this? And also, I mean, I don't know hockey
- 40:54Speaker 2: history that well, but I know Ovechkin scoring 900 goals
- 40:57Speaker 2: is a big deal. This fool would have made himself.
- 40:59Speaker 3: First ever.
- 41:01Speaker 2: First ever. So the first ever 900 goal, this fool
- 41:05Speaker 2: that made himself a part of the story. Like, you
- 41:08Speaker 2: remember when we reached this historic milestone as a sport,
- 41:12Speaker 2: man put a puck in his ass.
- 41:13Speaker 3: It is sweaty keister.
- 41:15Speaker 2: You the man.
- 41:16Speaker 3: Did he put it on or in?
- 41:18Speaker 1: Like, how dedicated to the bit was it?
- 41:23Speaker 2: Like, no, no, no.
- 41:24Speaker 1: In fact, I might not let him stay on my
- 41:26Speaker 1: own team. Yeah. He the first person we looking at
- 41:29Speaker 1: with something come up missing.
- 41:31Speaker 2: It was planned, too. Like, he knew it was a possibility. Like,
- 41:34Speaker 2: OV ain't scored four in that game. He came into
- 41:37Speaker 2: that game like, it's a possibility that he scored 900
- 41:39Speaker 2: on me. How could I ruin this moment? Because he
- 41:41Speaker 2: didn't have, he couldn't have thought, he can't be dumb
- 41:43Speaker 2: enough to think he was going to actually get away
- 41:44Speaker 2: with the puck.
- 41:45Speaker 1: Well, also worth noting, they was getting rocked. they were
- 41:51Speaker 1: let me let me check which goal it was that
- 41:54Speaker 1: Ovechkin scored it was oh okay it hadn't even got
- 41:58Speaker 1: bad yet it was just the second goal it was
- 42:01Speaker 1: just the second goal.
- 42:02Speaker 5: Yeah I don't know it's like I mean no it's
- 42:06Speaker 5: not actually I was trying to think of another opportunity
- 42:08Speaker 5: or another situation where people stole in mid game like
- 42:12Speaker 5: those championship or major important milestones but all I can
- 42:16Speaker 5: think about is chain snatching and.
- 42:19Speaker 3: Uh Like, maybe they steal your shit out the locker room.
- 42:22Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 42:23Speaker 2: That happens.
- 42:24Speaker 3: But not, like, out here in front of everybody.
- 42:29Speaker 2: It's absolutely ridiculous. But you're right. Like, you would think
- 42:32Speaker 2: that things like this wouldn't happen in hockey because... fighting
- 42:35Speaker 2: is perfectly acceptable. We police ourselves around here. We don't
- 42:40Speaker 2: got to send no fines.
- 42:41Speaker 1: But what that come down to is, man, don't nobody
- 42:43Speaker 1: think that white man about to steal. I think that's
- 42:47Speaker 1: the easiest way white people get away with it. Significant
- 42:49Speaker 1: about it still it is people think white people don't steal.
- 42:51Speaker 1: They ain't never read not one book about white people before.
- 42:55Speaker 1: I'm not saying every white person steals. I'm just saying
- 42:57Speaker 1: white people stealing explains a lot.
- 43:00Speaker 2: I mean, the NHL is made up of a lot
- 43:02Speaker 2: of non-Americans. So like I imagine in a lot of
- 43:05Speaker 2: these places, there aren't a lot of like. clear and
- 43:09Speaker 2: distinct differences in the way that we.
- 43:11Speaker 6: Have here so how to how do they tell who
- 43:14Speaker 6: to hate so how do they tell which ones is
- 43:17Speaker 6: still is it which ones is not like if you
- 43:19Speaker 6: have to know the last names or something it seems
- 43:21Speaker 6: so much more difficult.
- 43:22Speaker 1: Where you go to church right i guess that's the
- 43:24Speaker 1: question now last thing i.
- 43:26Speaker 3: Want to bring up while we're here wow this has
- 43:27Speaker 3: been as far as i'm.
- 43:28Speaker 1: Concerned an excellent episode um what's up with your man
- 43:31Speaker 1: tom brady cloning his dog.
- 43:33Speaker 2: Right This is bad of me, but I think when
- 43:36Speaker 2: I saw that, the first thing I thought, because he's
- 43:38Speaker 2: like an investor in this company, was what they doing
- 43:42Speaker 2: on humans and is Tom Brady interested? That's the first
- 43:46Speaker 2: thing I thought, which is like inappropriate thought to have,
- 43:50Speaker 2: but it seemed consistent with, I don't know, I just
- 43:54Speaker 2: go ahead and.
- 43:55Speaker 1: Well, also, Tom Brady is up for shady, futuristic endeavors, right?
- 44:00Speaker 1: Fortune favors the brave. Was that him?
- 44:02Speaker 3: Was he in the FTX world?
- 44:04Speaker 2: Yeah, he was for that. And he also, like, has
- 44:08Speaker 2: these weird, crazy diets. He does. Yeah.
- 44:13Speaker 1: Never mind.
- 44:13Speaker 2: I'm sure we've discussed my opinions on those before. Definitely
- 44:17Speaker 2: not while being recorded, but for some other time.
- 44:20Speaker 1: But.
- 44:22Speaker 3: Wow, those must be super hot takes. No, they're not
- 44:25Speaker 3: hot takes.
- 44:26Speaker 2: It's just I don't like when people start pre-explaining things
- 44:30Speaker 2: with diet. I think I'll just leave it at that.
- 44:34Speaker 2: Whenever somebody starts talking about, yeah, I started eating right.
- 44:39Speaker 2: That's why I'm about to have. some advantages.
- 44:42Speaker 1: Yeah, that sounds like this zombie. Yeah, I just lost
- 44:46Speaker 1: like eight pounds, man. Just cleaned up my diet.
- 44:48Speaker 3: Now, it has nothing to do with the drug testing
- 44:50Speaker 3: they just started. Not saying that's Tom Brady, but I'm
- 44:52Speaker 3: just saying that.
- 44:53Speaker 2: No, no, just in general, I get concerned. Now, if
- 44:54Speaker 2: you've been an all-star, superstar, great athlete and high level
- 44:59Speaker 2: your whole life, then why you wasn't doing this before?
- 45:03Speaker 3: That's all I be wondering.
- 45:04Speaker 2: Why you wasn't doing, why you wasn't getting rid of
- 45:06Speaker 2: these foods before? But, um... The clone and the dog thing.
- 45:11Speaker 2: And I hold space for the idea that maybe I'm
- 45:13Speaker 2: just an old man. And when I was 20, futuristic
- 45:18Speaker 2: stuff seemed appropriate. And there are probably things that other
- 45:21Speaker 2: people are like, no, this is dumb or whatever. And
- 45:23Speaker 2: I know like you could go back a long history
- 45:26Speaker 2: of people saying you plan with God or you plan
- 45:29Speaker 2: like you God. And it's actually just like the introduction
- 45:32Speaker 2: of medicine. I get that. But this feel weird, man. Yeah, yeah.
- 45:37Speaker 1: I got to make sure my brother don't find out
- 45:39Speaker 1: about this. My brother can't turn down no gadget or
- 45:42Speaker 1: no technology. That's why some of these people got our
- 45:45Speaker 1: goddamn DNA. Just had to find out where we from
- 45:52Speaker 1: in Africa, huh?
- 45:52Speaker 2: Right? That's just what we had to do.
- 45:54Speaker 1: Okay. Yep. so yeah like the idea that the dog
- 45:59Speaker 1: could be a clone that's a terrifying technology because I
- 46:01Speaker 1: just can't imagine how many people want to get a
- 46:03Speaker 1: hold of that one.
- 46:04Speaker 3: But it ain't going to be the same dog man.
- 46:07Speaker 2: Yeah definitely not going to be the same dog we
- 46:09Speaker 2: can get back to that but when you said the
- 46:11Speaker 2: DNA it reminded me of like obviously there are these
- 46:15Speaker 2: databases of DNA that help law enforcement find people or
- 46:19Speaker 2: whatever that have committed crimes or DNA is at a
- 46:23Speaker 2: crime scene So with the Louvre crime, they found some
- 46:27Speaker 2: DNA on those things. And it's not even that, which is, like,
- 46:31Speaker 2: incredible to me that you're able to find these little
- 46:33Speaker 2: bits of DNA on a window or whatever. That's fine.
- 46:36Speaker 2: That's science. All right. I accept it. They said in France, it's, like, mandatory.
- 46:44Speaker 2: If you don't give up your DNA, they fine you
- 46:47Speaker 2: or put you in jail. And I was like, what? That, like...
- 46:54Speaker 2: I'll Google it now just to make sure I'm not
- 46:55Speaker 2: spreading no misinformation. But I was listening to like some
- 46:59Speaker 2: NPR news thing and they were saying that. That to
- 47:04Speaker 2: some degree is you are compelled to do it or
- 47:06Speaker 2: you can pay a fine or go to jail for
- 47:09Speaker 2: a certain amount of days.
- 47:11Speaker 1: OK, it says under very specific legally regulated circumstances. Maybe?
- 47:19Speaker 3: By the way, here's what's interesting.
- 47:23Speaker 1: DNA testing for genealogy is illegal in France.
- 47:30Speaker 2: I love that.
- 47:30Speaker 1: They're like, come on, this is an obvious setup.
- 47:33Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean... Is this just like to ward off
- 47:38Speaker 2: the potential of reparations?
- 47:40Speaker 1: Oh, that's a great question. But I love to be like,
- 47:43Speaker 1: come on, man.
- 47:45Speaker 3: Are you sure you really want to do this?
- 47:47Speaker 2: I just want to know why. I'm sure their friends
- 47:49Speaker 2: say they didn't decide to do this because they want
- 47:51Speaker 2: to protect the people.
- 47:52Speaker 1: Or maybe they think that that is not data that
- 47:54Speaker 1: should be trusted with corporations.
- 47:57Speaker 2: I could agree with that. You know, maybe.
- 48:00Speaker 1: Maybe.
- 48:00Speaker 2: Yeah, maybe I'm just jaded by American government where their
- 48:03Speaker 2: corporations can make the things legal they want to be legal.
- 48:07Speaker 2: I know things are different over there in France.
- 48:09Speaker 3: All I'm saying is this.
- 48:11Speaker 1: France was way high on my if I got it,
- 48:14Speaker 1: I got it list. And that piece of information makes
- 48:17Speaker 1: me look at the place a little bit differently.
- 48:20Speaker 3: Like, that's one thing, man. There's a lot of this
- 48:22Speaker 3: America that I do acknowledge. I don't try to sound
- 48:24Speaker 3: like them people, if you know what I mean.
- 48:25Speaker 1: But there are a lot of things that I do
- 48:27Speaker 1: realize that we take for granted about how we get
- 48:29Speaker 1: down in America. That you go somewhere else, even the
- 48:31Speaker 1: places that you think are cool. Like, that First Amendment
- 48:34Speaker 1: thing here, other places ain't got those.
- 48:37Speaker 2: No, I'm 100% with you. And I also like, it's
- 48:41Speaker 2: a lot like being a parent in that When I
- 48:44Speaker 2: tell my kids how grateful they are or how grateful
- 48:47Speaker 2: they should be, or I think it, how grateful they
- 48:49Speaker 2: should be for all the things that they have, it's
- 48:51Speaker 2: all they've known. And it don't make the fact that
- 48:54Speaker 2: they ain't getting what they want right now feel any better.
- 48:57Speaker 2: I feel the same way about America. Like, yeah, so
- 49:01Speaker 2: much of this shit is awesome. But that don't mean
- 49:03Speaker 2: that the shit that stinks don't stink.
- 49:05Speaker 3: Oh, you're totally right.
- 49:06Speaker 1: I've just found out that maybe they might stick a
- 49:10Speaker 1: swab me over there. And I had not bet on
- 49:13Speaker 1: that when I was coming up with contingency plans.
- 49:16Speaker 2: Soon as soon as you walk across them lines on
- 49:18Speaker 2: the to the plane land they're gonna check make sure
- 49:21Speaker 2: just in case you want to steal some jewels from
- 49:22Speaker 2: the loose be able to find your.
- 49:24Speaker 1: Way something else about that I saw it I thought
- 49:26Speaker 1: this was interesting um was apparently it seemed like they
- 49:31Speaker 1: were really good thieves yeah and they were I guess
- 49:33Speaker 1: they were good at the thieving part but apparently they
- 49:36Speaker 1: were actually quite panicked and left the whole treasure trove
- 49:39Speaker 1: of clues behind. They were just like, look, man, get
- 49:41Speaker 1: in and get out. We worry about the rest of
- 49:42Speaker 1: that later. And they were shook like you would be
- 49:46Speaker 1: if you decided you were going to break in the Louvre.
- 49:48Speaker 2: Yeah, they dropped the jewel. They couldn't light the thing
- 49:51Speaker 2: on fire. That's all wild. But the thing, the reason
- 49:53Speaker 2: why I think you were right to make that assumption
- 49:55Speaker 2: is because we all have had this thought, like fencing
- 49:59Speaker 2: something like that seems impossible. So obviously you would think
- 50:02Speaker 2: how you could make money So if you have the
- 50:06Speaker 2: connections to move something like that, you got to be
- 50:09Speaker 2: sophisticated or maybe you just dumb. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
- 50:13Speaker 3: And it would take something else too. I don't know
- 50:15Speaker 3: how you put a crew together to do this.
- 50:17Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 50:17Speaker 1: Cause like the real pros are like, nah, dog, this is, they're,
- 50:24Speaker 1: they're going to find you.
- 50:26Speaker 3: It may not be tomorrow, but they, this here's what,
- 50:29Speaker 3: this will not.
- 50:29Speaker 1: Be a cold case.
- 50:32Speaker 2: I have not, I mean, maybe it's watching too many movies,
- 50:34Speaker 2: but I assume that what would have to happen in
- 50:37Speaker 2: this case is the people that did the job are
- 50:41Speaker 2: dummies who are willing to do the job and they
- 50:43Speaker 2: bring it and deliver it when it's time to get paid.
- 50:46Speaker 2: They not leaving because they know what's happening. And this
- 50:50Speaker 2: is just my movie mind. And then you go off
- 50:52Speaker 2: and get things done. But I can't imagine the fact
- 50:55Speaker 2: that these guys seem to also be the ones I
- 50:58Speaker 2: don't know. We don't know how this all worked out,
- 50:59Speaker 2: but it seems quite messy.
- 51:01Speaker 3: I will say this.
- 51:01Speaker 1: Your plan of I'm going to break into the Louvre
- 51:04Speaker 1: and these people are going to pay me and then.
- 51:06Speaker 3: I'm going to get my cut.
- 51:07Speaker 1: No, no, no, no, no.
- 51:08Speaker 3: That's not going to. You're going to get smoked.
- 51:10Speaker 2: You're going to get cut. All right. Yeah, you're going
- 51:11Speaker 2: to get smoked.
- 51:12Speaker 1: Let me tell you, that reminds me of an analogous story.
- 51:15Speaker 1: I went over there to Asia last year, went to Cambodia.
- 51:19Speaker 1: And I didn't really know that much about the Camaroos,
- 51:21Speaker 1: except that they was, you know, kind of dastardly. But apparently,
- 51:26Speaker 1: from the way the story that the guys were telling
- 51:28Speaker 1: us is that the Khmer Rouge was funded, like the
- 51:31Speaker 1: king had been exiled. And the king was funding, I
- 51:35Speaker 1: think it was the Khmer Rouge. If it wasn't them,
- 51:36Speaker 1: it was another outfit. But anyway, the king was in
- 51:40Speaker 1: China and he was funding this outfit to overthrow the
- 51:44Speaker 1: government to put him back in power. And so he'd
- 51:46Speaker 1: given him the money to put him back in power.
- 51:49Speaker 1: And they finally won. And they're like, yeah, come on down, right?
- 51:52Speaker 1: They're like, hey, baby, it's a party, man. Only thing
- 51:54Speaker 1: that's missing is you, dog. Everywhere I go, they like, bro,
- 51:57Speaker 1: where the king at? Where the king at? You got
- 51:59Speaker 1: to come back, dog. It's cracking down here.
- 52:01Speaker 3: And so the king come back.
- 52:02Speaker 1: And when the king come back, they locked his ass up.
- 52:05Speaker 1: It was like what we need you for.
- 52:08Speaker 2: We got the country. We're just going to hand you
- 52:11Speaker 2: the reins. Right. For what? A deal's a deal. Don't
- 52:15Speaker 2: think through his ass in jail. That's the thing. That's
- 52:19Speaker 2: the thing about operating in these environments. And I don't
- 52:24Speaker 2: mean countries. I just mean if you're working in the
- 52:27Speaker 2: underworld where there's no legal recourse.
- 52:30Speaker 1: Right.
- 52:30Speaker 2: There's some things that eventually always get down to, but
- 52:36Speaker 2: can you whoop my ass? Yes. At some point, that's
- 52:38Speaker 2: what it's going to come down to. And if you
- 52:40Speaker 2: don't got the people that can get the job done,
- 52:42Speaker 2: maybe you should stay out of there.
- 52:43Speaker 3: We just overthrew a whole country. Why you think we
- 52:47Speaker 3: can't overthrow you?
- 52:48Speaker 1: Right.
- 52:49Speaker 3: We have all the infrastructure we need right here.
- 52:53Speaker 1: I've got all I got enough friends to overthrow a country.
- 52:58Speaker 2: Yeah. And you have demonstrated that you're the type of
- 53:00Speaker 2: person to pay people to overthrow governments. Why do it?
- 53:06Speaker 1: Why?
- 53:06Speaker 2: You are dastardly yourself. I'm a trust you. Nah, nah, nah, nah.
- 53:11Speaker 2: You shook my hand. I knew you wasn't shit.
- 53:14Speaker 3: And we should get tight.
- 53:15Speaker 2: You run. Right?
- 53:18Speaker 3: We stood ten toes down.
- 53:21Speaker 2: Lost friends, I'm sure.
- 53:22Speaker 1: You ran away. We see you.
