October 14th
R&B, pop, country, art rock and musical theater come together in today’s episode of The Music Dial, with stories connected to October 14.
We celebrate the birthdays of Usher and Natalie Maines, revisit Michael Jackson’s first solo U.S. number one, return to David Bowie’s Berlin era with “Heroes”, and remember the extraordinary legacy of Leonard Bernstein.
One date, several generations, and music stretching from contemporary R&B and country to art rock, Broadway and classical music.
