- 0:00Speaker 1: Scrubbing in with Bea Tilly and Tanya rad and iHeartRadio
- 0:04Speaker 1: and two times People's Choice Award winning podcast.
- 0:10Speaker 2: Hello everybody, we are scrubbing it.
- 0:20Speaker 3: What you're doing today? What?
- 0:22Speaker 1: Well, today I'm going to take my passport photo and
- 0:26Speaker 1: do all that. But I forgot to tell you this
- 0:28Speaker 1: story from the DMB.
- 0:30Speaker 4: What do you get stressed about you passport photo?
- 0:33Speaker 1: Yes, well not stressed, but like I want to look pretty.
- 0:36Speaker 4: But why no one's gonna see it? Literally no one,
- 0:39Speaker 4: no one, and like it's a closed book.
- 0:42Speaker 1: Yes, my last DMB photo was gorgeous, Like can I
- 0:46Speaker 1: tell you, like I look like a supermodeling, very.
- 0:49Speaker 4: Rare passport are notoriously bad.
- 0:51Speaker 1: Phone, not passport, my dmv linse. But in my last
- 0:54Speaker 1: passport photo, nothing could be worse than that, So I'm.
- 0:57Speaker 3: Like ready for something it new.
- 0:59Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, that passport one was horrendous. So my last
- 1:02Speaker 1: DMB was stunning, stunning work of art. I just come
- 1:06Speaker 1: from some e things, so I had like full glam
- 1:09Speaker 1: and like, yeah, I just looked like the light.
- 1:12Speaker 3: I was gorgeous. Yeah.
- 1:13Speaker 1: So I went to the DMB last week and I
- 1:16Speaker 1: begged the girl please can I please use my same
- 1:20Speaker 1: photo I look the same look. I was, no, sorry,
- 1:23Speaker 1: you have to take a new please please, No, I'm
- 1:28Speaker 1: so sorry. Anyways, so I took my new photo and
- 1:30Speaker 1: I was like, can I see what it like?
- 1:32Speaker 3: What I look like?
- 1:32Speaker 1: And because you'll get it in the mail in a
- 1:33Speaker 1: couple of weeks. Daddy didn't play around, not DMV. Daddy
- 1:41Speaker 1: was not having it. But I sat down at the
- 1:44Speaker 1: DMB and like, you know, you like check in and
- 1:46Speaker 1: they give you like I was like G two seventy
- 1:48Speaker 1: two and they were at like G one oh one.
- 1:51Speaker 1: So I was like, oh, I'm here to stay and
- 1:55Speaker 1: the seats were packed, so I was like, okay, I'm
- 1:57Speaker 1: just gonna wait tillbody gets up and like make my
- 1:59Speaker 1: way over. So I to finding a seat. So I
- 2:00Speaker 1: sit down. I sit next to this girl and she's like, hey,
- 2:04Speaker 1: can you like save my seat really quick? And I
- 2:06Speaker 1: was like yeah, sure, no problem.
- 2:07Speaker 3: That's a big task, a big ask.
- 2:10Speaker 1: I thought, no problem. I thought she's going to the bathroom,
- 2:13Speaker 1: like she's gonna grab me out of her car. This
- 2:16Speaker 1: bitch is gone for forty five minutes.
- 2:21Speaker 3: She got a snack, She and got a snack. She
- 2:24Speaker 3: comes back.
- 2:24Speaker 1: Mind you people are asking me at coming up. Is
- 2:27Speaker 1: this all taken? Yes, by some unnamed person I don't know, Okay,
- 2:31Speaker 1: And she's been gone for quite some time now, so
- 2:35Speaker 1: like if she doesn't come back, I'm gonna look.
- 2:36Speaker 3: Like a total like yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, Like I.
- 2:39Speaker 1: Just wanted to save the seat because I didn't want
- 2:40Speaker 1: somebody sick. And so she comes back wreaking of marijuana,
- 2:47Speaker 1: pulls out of her backpack French fries. She'd gone to
- 2:50Speaker 1: like some drive through and had me save her seat.
- 2:54Speaker 3: What mind you.
- 2:56Speaker 1: I didn't realize they they send you a text when
- 2:58Speaker 1: your number is like close to being called. It's basically
- 3:00Speaker 1: like we're I didn't know this because I didn't get
- 3:03Speaker 1: until it was close to my number. But they do
- 3:05Speaker 1: give you like a good five to six minute heads
- 3:08Speaker 1: up that like your number is coming. So I could
- 3:10Speaker 1: have like an hour and a half up and around
- 3:12Speaker 1: town in Santa Monica to like get my nails done.
- 3:15Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 3:16Speaker 4: So she was probably sitting in her car, eating her
- 3:17Speaker 4: in and out and.
- 3:18Speaker 1: Just yeah, blaze up, blazon Yeah, got her text message.
- 3:23Speaker 1: I'll go back into that chump in there. I was
- 3:25Speaker 1: saving my seat in the front row. Didn't even offer me, yes,
- 3:31Speaker 1: legroom so everybody's watching me, like say, yeah, somebody's here
- 3:35Speaker 1: for forty five minutes.
- 3:37Speaker 3: Wait, that is so funny. She just said this girl,
- 3:41Speaker 3: this is so easy. I'm gonna go take a break.
- 3:44Speaker 1: But also like, why do you need the seat saved?
- 3:46Speaker 1: Do you know what I mean? Like, if you're gonna
- 3:48Speaker 1: go like have fun around town, like stand the back
- 3:50Speaker 1: for the last five minutes till your name's called or
- 3:52Speaker 1: numbers called.
- 3:53Speaker 2: Sometimes you just got a light to dube and get
- 3:55Speaker 2: some fries. Clearly, maybe she'd been there since one oh one,
- 3:59Speaker 2: you know, maybe she had been there since one. Yeah,
- 4:06Speaker 2: you got to take an advantage.
- 4:07Speaker 1: Of this is my karma because I always ask people
- 4:11Speaker 1: to watch my suitcases at the airport.
- 4:12Speaker 4: That is, I think it's illegal.
- 4:16Speaker 3: You can't do.
- 4:20Speaker 1: Take our suitcases into the bathroom and knock on the
- 4:22Speaker 1: door before we go in?
- 4:24Speaker 4: What other Yeah, both of those you have to do.
- 4:27Speaker 4: They make announcements at the airport. Do not take anything,
- 4:30Speaker 4: do not watch other people's bag, do not do that.
- 4:32Speaker 2: Oh no common decency hut.
- 4:39Speaker 1: But I thought it was like I was like, Wow,
- 4:40Speaker 1: now's my time to like save it for someone else,
- 4:43Speaker 1: you know, Like I'm like I always ask people to
- 4:44Speaker 1: like watch my stuff. So now I'm like, say stuff
- 4:46Speaker 1: doing that.
- 4:47Speaker 2: Actually, it's it's unsafe for you might a track. Let's
- 4:55Speaker 2: not think of doing it for others, but more for yourself.
- 4:59Speaker 3: Yes, yeah if that helps.
- 5:02Speaker 2: Yes, Well, that was really nice for you to save
- 5:05Speaker 2: the seat. I'm sorry that she fully took advantage of
- 5:07Speaker 2: your kindness.
- 5:08Speaker 4: Was she appreciative when she got back? No at all.
- 5:12Speaker 1: Didn't offer me nothing. I want to Fry said no,
- 5:18Speaker 1: the offer would be nicelip. Yeah, weed gummy?
- 5:23Speaker 3: I have what is a weed gummy? I want to
- 5:26Speaker 3: really smelled?
- 5:27Speaker 1: Yeah, no, she smelled.
- 5:28Speaker 3: Yeah, she lit one up. Yeah, good for her.
- 5:31Speaker 1: Doob doom.
- 5:32Speaker 3: She said. One day of the week.
- 5:34Speaker 1: Was it Friday?
- 5:35Speaker 3: She said, it's Friday, bait fry yay.
- 5:39Speaker 1: Yeah, so it's a little bit about me.
- 5:41Speaker 2: Well, it's good to know that you will save a
- 5:43Speaker 2: seat if someone ever needs whether.
- 5:46Speaker 1: You guys take your driving test, by the way, because
- 5:48Speaker 1: like the people next to me and were like getting
- 5:50Speaker 1: in a fight because she was like, no, I'm not
- 5:52Speaker 1: retaking this thing, and he said something about.
- 5:54Speaker 3: Like every four years.
- 5:56Speaker 1: But I'm like, I haven't retaken my driver's test since
- 5:58Speaker 1: I turned sixteen, and I'm much older, nor have.
- 6:01Speaker 4: I I'm not sure.
- 6:02Speaker 2: It might be if they've moved or something, because I
- 6:05Speaker 2: had to retake mine when I got switched from a
- 6:07Speaker 2: Louisiana license to California terribly.
- 6:12Speaker 3: I was so stressed out. There's so many more rules here.
- 6:15Speaker 1: I do you believe she was saying she was like
- 6:17Speaker 1: from San Francisco or something.
- 6:18Speaker 3: Well that's still California.
- 6:20Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 6:20Speaker 1: Maybe maybe I heard it wrong, maybe with something else.
- 6:22Speaker 2: Yeah, maybe she was doing it for safety, just to
- 6:25Speaker 2: learn the rules, the la the lay of the land.
- 6:28Speaker 1: But I find that to be kind of shocking. Like
- 6:30Speaker 1: I've just never taken a driving test since I was
- 6:32Speaker 1: sixteen years old. Yeah, well I should use it.
- 6:37Speaker 3: You might need a re refresher. Yeah.
- 6:41Speaker 2: No, the DMV is not my I will say, like
- 6:44Speaker 2: my driver's license and my passport photos I get compliments on,
- 6:47Speaker 2: so I will dread the day I have to retake those.
- 6:50Speaker 4: I know.
- 6:50Speaker 1: Okay, So then the next day because I'm trying to
- 6:52Speaker 1: get all this stuff done with my name changed, and
- 6:54Speaker 1: so Robbie's like, okay, you did the DMV, Like, let's
- 6:55Speaker 1: go do your passport today. And I was like, oh,
- 6:58Speaker 1: I can't take my passport photo day. I look like
- 7:01Speaker 1: trush right now, And he was like, are you kidding me? Like,
- 7:04Speaker 1: who cares?
- 7:06Speaker 3: I get it?
- 7:07Speaker 1: I care, but luck in my luck was on my
- 7:10Speaker 1: side because everything was closed for Easter.
- 7:13Speaker 3: I couldn't do it nice.
- 7:15Speaker 1: I'm gonna go today, nice, gorgeous, gorge Yeah, yeah, I
- 7:18Speaker 1: can't take a bad photo today.
- 7:20Speaker 4: No, no, things can only go up you right though,
- 7:24Speaker 4: there's something with that passport photo. It will be bad, like,
- 7:27Speaker 4: there's no way around it. It's always no.
- 7:29Speaker 3: I'm telling her, I've choker for my last photo.
- 7:32Speaker 1: Let me tell you. Rule one oh one not to
- 7:35Speaker 1: wear a passport or a d m V photo is
- 7:38Speaker 1: a choker. Why are you wearing a choke? I don't know.
- 7:43Speaker 1: Twenty seventeen, Oh oh.
- 7:48Speaker 4: We can forget.
- 7:49Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 7:50Speaker 2: Yeah, the new passport is black and white, so you
- 7:54Speaker 2: just automatically look better.
- 7:56Speaker 3: Yeah. They put like a lovely black and white filter
- 8:00Speaker 3: over it.
- 8:00Speaker 1: I can't wait.
- 8:01Speaker 2: Yeah. I was stunned by myself. I was like, thank
- 8:05Speaker 2: you for whatever you added to this. Wow the glam filter.
- 8:09Speaker 1: Yeah, okay, I'm excited.
- 8:10Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, I get excited.
- 8:12Speaker 2: We do have a dear bonya, so shall we jump
- 8:15Speaker 2: into it?
- 8:16Speaker 4: Jumping in anonymous says Hi, Becka, Tania Mark and Eastern
- 8:19Speaker 4: day One Scrubbery here and I love you all so much.
- 8:21Speaker 4: Your voices get me through the day. I need some advice.
- 8:24Speaker 4: I recently became acquaintances with some moms on my street.
- 8:27Speaker 4: We met at the park. I was put into a
- 8:28Speaker 4: group message with them, and they're always wanting to get together,
- 8:31Speaker 4: which normally I try to include myself in. But one
- 8:33Speaker 4: of their children is so mean to my oldest son,
- 8:36Speaker 4: who's four. The child is also made to the other kids.
- 8:39Speaker 4: I don't believe in subjecting your children to the real
- 8:41Speaker 4: world so young, and it's literally my job to protect them.
- 8:43Speaker 4: So now I've always started saying no when they asked
- 8:47Speaker 4: to get together. So am I being rude? I don't
- 8:49Speaker 4: want it to say, hey, dude, your kid is mean
- 8:51Speaker 4: and you don't do anything about it. But I also
- 8:53Speaker 4: feel bad ignoring every invite. One of them lived two
- 8:55Speaker 4: doors down for me, and she made a comment that
- 8:57Speaker 4: she saw us one day going to the park by ourselves.
- 9:00Speaker 4: I feel like being watched and it's driving me crazy.
- 9:03Speaker 4: So what do I do? Whenny advice is helpful? Thanks?
- 9:05Speaker 4: Love you.
- 9:07Speaker 1: I mean, I might not have the best advice here
- 9:09Speaker 1: because I've never had to deal with this. However, I
- 9:16Speaker 1: do talk to Robbie about this stuff often, and his
- 9:19Speaker 1: advice is always like, not to shield your kids from
- 9:25Speaker 1: certain situations because they're eventually going to have to deal
- 9:28Speaker 1: with these situations in life. Do you know what I mean?
- 9:32Speaker 1: So like your child is going to interact with a
- 9:35Speaker 1: mean kid at some point in their lives. Correct?
- 9:39Speaker 4: Yes, yes, correct, But if you know one's mean, deuce.
- 9:44Speaker 3: Why can't you say something? Why can't you say something
- 9:47Speaker 3: to the mom of the mean co.
- 9:49Speaker 1: What do you say to someone your kids mean?
- 9:51Speaker 3: I would just say, hey, I was, I was.
- 9:53Speaker 2: I heard how your son was talking to my son
- 9:56Speaker 2: and I and if be like, I don't want him.
- 9:59Speaker 3: I don't want them to be like in a fight.
- 10:01Speaker 2: I just wanted you to be aware of it because
- 10:03Speaker 2: the mom might not know that her son is a bully.
- 10:05Speaker 2: I don't want to know if my kid was a bully.
- 10:07Speaker 1: I think oftentimes they know.
- 10:09Speaker 2: Because they're the bully. Yeah, well then what this is crazy?
- 10:14Speaker 2: I feel like I feel like parents, especially this age,
- 10:17Speaker 2: should know who if their kid is bullying other kids.
- 10:23Speaker 4: Parents don't see their kids that way. I don't think
- 10:25Speaker 4: their kids are always angels. Every kid is.
- 10:28Speaker 2: Yeah, well that's why they're serial killers, and that's why
- 10:32Speaker 2: we gotta we gotta shift the mindset and start having
- 10:35Speaker 2: the hard conversations. Well, I would, I mean, unless someone
- 10:39Speaker 2: says something to you like hey, I would just say, hey, yeah,
- 10:43Speaker 2: he's having a hard time with one of the other kids,
- 10:44Speaker 2: So we just kind of do our own thing until
- 10:46Speaker 2: they grow out of that. That's what I would say.
- 10:49Speaker 2: If someone asks you about it, I don't think you
- 10:50Speaker 2: need to bring it up. I would just say, Hey,
- 10:52Speaker 2: we're just doing our own thing. My son's having a
- 10:55Speaker 2: hard time, like just getting along with some of the kids,
- 10:58Speaker 2: so we're just going to the park alone.
- 11:03Speaker 4: And then just remove yourself from that group chat.
- 11:05Speaker 3: We'll just put on mute, hide the alerts.
- 11:10Speaker 4: Yeah, it's not. But I don't know, I'm not sure
- 11:11Speaker 4: what to say. I think that I think I would
- 11:14Speaker 4: probably take the passive least resistance and go to one
- 11:16Speaker 4: of these events and just see how it goes, and
- 11:19Speaker 4: obviously keep a very sharp eye on whatever is going on.
- 11:22Speaker 3: Yeah, that's what I'm saying.
- 11:23Speaker 2: If she's there and watching it happen, and the other
- 11:26Speaker 2: mom is there, why can't she say like, hey, let's
- 11:29Speaker 2: can we have a conversation like this, this quarrel was
- 11:32Speaker 2: going on, Let's figure it out with the mom presence.
- 11:36Speaker 4: That's fine. And also not putting all the blame on
- 11:38Speaker 4: the other kid.
- 11:39Speaker 2: Yeah, just like, hey, they're not getting along, what can
- 11:40Speaker 2: we do to fix this?
- 11:45Speaker 1: Well, these type of social interactions really stressful.
- 11:48Speaker 4: It's tough. Just can't hide that. Like you said, you
- 11:51Speaker 4: can't hide your kid from every negative experience of their
- 11:54Speaker 4: whole life.
- 11:54Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 11:55Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean you're gonna snowplow parenting. You go out
- 11:59Speaker 4: in front of the kid and make sure nothing is
- 12:01Speaker 4: in the way, nothing's ever going to cause problems for.
- 12:03Speaker 1: Them, right, I think that ultimately hurts the kid.
- 12:05Speaker 4: I think so it does.
- 12:06Speaker 2: But there's also a sense of making sure that this
- 12:09Speaker 2: kid that's already bullying kids at a young age isn't
- 12:12Speaker 2: getting away with it forever. So if you have the
- 12:16Speaker 2: power to be in this situation and witness it with
- 12:19Speaker 2: the parent present, take it as an opportunity to say like, hey, like,
- 12:23Speaker 2: I don't know what's going on, but let's figure it out.
- 12:27Speaker 1: It's good. Yeah.
- 12:29Speaker 4: Do you remember the dear Bonya who wanted to go
- 12:32Speaker 4: out with the guy at the gym. He gave her
- 12:34Speaker 4: lots of insightful questions and she get great answers, but
- 12:36Speaker 4: whenever she turned it back on him, yeah.
- 12:39Speaker 3: Nothing, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 12:41Speaker 4: We have an update. I love a follow up.
- 12:43Speaker 3: Should we take a break?
- 12:44Speaker 4: I think we should.
- 12:45Speaker 3: Okay, we're back. I don't even have to race wows.
- 13:10Speaker 4: I love a follow up. A few weeks ago, a
- 13:12Speaker 4: hopeless romantic looking at her forever wrote asking if she
- 13:14Speaker 4: was being too picky after giving a guy she met
- 13:16Speaker 4: at the Jim a chance. They went on a first date.
- 13:19Speaker 4: He asked her a lot of insightful questions to which
- 13:21Speaker 4: you gave thoughtful, sometimes deep answers to and when she
- 13:23Speaker 4: turned the question around on him, he gave nothing. He
- 13:26Speaker 4: also said he has no hobbies, no friends. He gets up,
- 13:29Speaker 4: he goes if the jammy works ten to seven, he
- 13:31Speaker 4: goes to bed. And I don't remember what your advice was. Necessarily,
- 13:35Speaker 4: I probably was like, girl, move on. Well, she wrote
- 13:39Speaker 4: back and said, Hi, okay, I geeked out hearing this
- 13:42Speaker 4: on the pod. Follow up. I did not follow through
- 13:44Speaker 4: with him, but to answer some of your questions by
- 13:47Speaker 4: going out with friends, I mean, he doesn't even hang
- 13:49Speaker 4: out with them and make plans nothing. He doesn't drink,
- 13:52Speaker 4: which doesn't bother me. He's cute, he's very interested in me,
- 13:56Speaker 4: but it felt more like you wanted to hear about
- 13:58Speaker 4: me toof said that he doesn't do much lol. And yes,
- 14:02Speaker 4: he pretty much goes to bed after his ten to
- 14:03Speaker 4: seven and he told me it takes him two hours
- 14:06Speaker 4: to get ready for the gym. I don't even take that.
- 14:10Speaker 4: All that to say, thank you for answering my question.
- 14:11Speaker 4: I appreciate all sides, Tanya, trust me, I love an
- 14:13Speaker 4: APM bedtime. But I did decide to move forward with
- 14:16Speaker 4: someone else. Wow.
- 14:18Speaker 1: Oh, I guess I probably told her like it's fun
- 14:21Speaker 1: to take someone that goes to bed.
- 14:22Speaker 2: Really, yeah, you probably are, like stick it out?
- 14:26Speaker 1: Yeah, one of my own. Yeah, a man at my heart.
- 14:29Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 14:30Speaker 2: You have a lot of hobbies like launching barbecue brawl
- 14:33Speaker 2: like you you could answer that question.
- 14:35Speaker 1: Catch me watching barbecue bral this coming weekend.
- 14:39Speaker 4: So I love a follow up and I love a flashback.
- 14:42Speaker 4: Josie Hi, Becka, Tanya Easton, and Mark. I'm real listening
- 14:45Speaker 4: to old episodes and just heard the moment where the
- 14:47Speaker 4: girls discuss their future engagement ring preferences. Tanya said she
- 14:52Speaker 4: didn't want a big rock on her finger like she
- 14:53Speaker 4: had previously dreamt of, and Becka stated she probably won't
- 14:56Speaker 4: wear her ring all the time. I just found this
- 14:59Speaker 4: funny thing. Now they both have big, beautiful engagement rings
- 15:02Speaker 4: they wear pretty much all the time. Here we go.
- 15:04Speaker 4: Episode date October eighth, twenty eighteen. It was called Debbie
- 15:07Speaker 4: of the Doctors, And here it is.
- 15:10Speaker 1: I decided something about my wedding over the weekend.
- 15:15Speaker 4: Uh huh.
- 15:17Speaker 1: It involves the singer that I want to sing at
- 15:19Speaker 1: my wedding. So I was going to FaceTime, said to
- 15:21Speaker 1: person and ask if they will perform at my wedding.
- 15:24Speaker 4: And you recently changed your dream engagement ring. The when
- 15:28Speaker 4: you've dreamed about your whole life has now.
- 15:29Speaker 1: Changed changed what to what? I just don't want to
- 15:32Speaker 1: I used to want like a big fatty rock like
- 15:35Speaker 1: kind of hanging out off my finger, and now I
- 15:37Speaker 1: realize I want it more like set in into the
- 15:40Speaker 1: ring like not as like.
- 15:41Speaker 3: It's a huge change.
- 15:43Speaker 4: She wants a ring that she doesn't have to take
- 15:45Speaker 4: off at the gym, and when she's whatever, she wants
- 15:48Speaker 4: to be able to leave it on all the time.
- 15:49Speaker 1: Leave it on all the time.
- 15:51Speaker 3: I want a big ring that sits up. Now I've
- 15:54Speaker 3: pumping out.
- 15:56Speaker 4: You want to take it off from time to time,
- 15:57Speaker 4: that's fine with you.
- 15:59Speaker 2: Yeah. I don't love wearing rings in general, So I
- 16:01Speaker 2: want to have a band, that really pretty band that
- 16:04Speaker 2: I keep on all the time, and then wear that
- 16:06Speaker 2: have the ring for whateever.
- 16:07Speaker 4: What about a tattoo that's very hot right now? Is
- 16:09Speaker 4: getting tattooed rings because they don't feel like you're wearing
- 16:13Speaker 4: a ring.
- 16:13Speaker 2: Yeah, not a pose, but not completely for it, not
- 16:17Speaker 2: opposed to it, just like, don't know if it's my style.
- 16:19Speaker 3: I would like just like a really.
- 16:21Speaker 2: Pretty dainty like diamond band to wear is like every day,
- 16:24Speaker 2: because I don't like having anything too big bulky.
- 16:28Speaker 3: But I would like to sluck this.
- 16:31Speaker 4: Rock, Yeah, fatty rock.
- 16:33Speaker 3: The people know I'm taking alright on that note. Oh,
- 16:39Speaker 3: that's Haley and I were together at that.
- 16:41Speaker 4: Point in eighteen.
- 16:42Speaker 2: At that point, yeah, because we got together in April eighteenth.
- 16:45Speaker 2: That's October eighteen.
- 16:46Speaker 4: That's so funny, a half years ago.
- 16:49Speaker 3: Yeah, but our our eight year anniversary happened.
- 16:51Speaker 1: Oh no, in September. We're going to be nine years
- 16:55Speaker 1: of this September.
- 16:56Speaker 3: No mine in Haley's eight years Yeah, speakend. Yeah that's right,
- 17:02Speaker 3: crazy crazy, Yeah, well I was. I do wear mine
- 17:07Speaker 3: every day.
- 17:07Speaker 2: It's weirdly, I don't know what it is, what the
- 17:10Speaker 2: science is behind it, but this ring does not bother
- 17:14Speaker 2: me at all, Like it never feels like I'm annoyed
- 17:17Speaker 2: by having the ring on. But previously I was like,
- 17:20Speaker 2: I don't know how I'm gonna wear engagement ring all
- 17:22Speaker 2: the time because I don't like wearing rings.
- 17:24Speaker 1: It's so weird listening back to that.
- 17:26Speaker 3: It almost sounds like it doesn't even sound like us.
- 17:29Speaker 1: I know, you know what's so funny?
- 17:32Speaker 3: You did get a big rock.
- 17:34Speaker 1: Yeah, I in fact changed my mind again, and she
- 17:39Speaker 1: did want her.
- 17:40Speaker 3: Fast she didn't want it.
- 17:41Speaker 1: Yeah, it's crazy to listen back on those episodes. Like
- 17:49Speaker 1: if we ever have to like re record our podcast
- 17:51Speaker 1: because like it gets taken away from us or something
- 17:53Speaker 1: like I've thought about this, like Taylor swifting it and
- 17:55Speaker 1: like going, how would.
- 17:59Speaker 3: We do that? Like transcript and we just read that.
- 18:02Speaker 1: No, like we would re listen to our old episodes
- 18:05Speaker 1: and then like kind of just talk about everything that
- 18:07Speaker 1: was going on, like in our perspective now of like
- 18:10Speaker 1: lot things. WHOA, what's so funny, Mark.
- 18:13Speaker 4: That's a very funny idea that we'd have to do that.
- 18:17Speaker 1: Well, if somebody decides they want to take this podcast
- 18:19Speaker 1: your broad yeah yeah, or right, yeah, we get scooted
- 18:24Speaker 1: and booted. Well that was like always the thing, like, oh,
- 18:26Speaker 1: we could just PLoP two people in your spots if
- 18:29Speaker 1: you guys don't want to do the podcast anymore. And
- 18:30Speaker 1: I'm like, no, yeah, if we get Scooter Bronde, I
- 18:35Speaker 1: will Taylor Swift.
- 18:36Speaker 4: Wow out of this podcast. Okay, uh, this is a
- 18:41Speaker 4: very very sweet note that we got from a woman
- 18:45Speaker 4: and I lost out here. It is Sabrina Hi back
- 18:48Speaker 4: a tiny market East and I had to reach out
- 18:49Speaker 4: because my heart feels so full and I'm a little
- 18:51Speaker 4: emotional writing this. I'm a day one scrubber. Your podcast
- 18:54Speaker 4: has been such a constant in my life, but especially lately.
- 18:56Speaker 4: I recently welc on my third baby, girl. And as
- 18:58Speaker 4: beautiful as post part them can be, it can also
- 19:01Speaker 4: be overwhelming and pretty dark somehow. Because of the community
- 19:05Speaker 4: you've built, I've found myself in a small group chat
- 19:07Speaker 4: with other scrubbers navigating postpartum right now, and I can't
- 19:10Speaker 4: even begin to explain what it's meant to me. We
- 19:12Speaker 4: text every day, sharing advice, ving, checking in, celebrating tiny winds,
- 19:16Speaker 4: and laughing when we really need it. These women, complete
- 19:20Speaker 4: strangers brought together because of you, have helped me pull
- 19:23Speaker 4: together some really hard times. They've reminded me I'm not alone,
- 19:27Speaker 4: that I'm doing okay, and that it's okay to not
- 19:29Speaker 4: have it all together. Also, a couple of weeks ago,
- 19:31Speaker 4: when a mom wrote in about her new mom's struggles,
- 19:33Speaker 4: that really stuck with me. If she ever hears this,
- 19:35Speaker 4: please encourage her to reach out to the Facebook group.
- 19:38Speaker 4: There are so many moms in there going through the
- 19:39Speaker 4: exact same things, and it truly helps more than you
- 19:42Speaker 4: can imagine to connect with people who get it in
- 19:44Speaker 4: real time. Sometimes the people that can help you the
- 19:47Speaker 4: most aren't in your life, yet don't be afraid to
- 19:50Speaker 4: reach out and find them. That kind of connection doesn't
- 19:52Speaker 4: just happen, it exists because of the space you've created,
- 19:56Speaker 4: one that feels safe, supportive, real, and full of joy.
- 19:59Speaker 4: You've built something so much bigger than the podcast. You've
- 20:01Speaker 4: built a community that shows up for each other in
- 20:03Speaker 4: real life, in the moments that truly matter. So from
- 20:06Speaker 4: the bottom of my heart, thank you. Thank you for
- 20:07Speaker 4: the laughs, the honesty of the comfort, and for unintentionally
- 20:11Speaker 4: bringing together people who have made such an impact on
- 20:13Speaker 4: my life. I'm beyond grateful to be a part of
- 20:16Speaker 4: this little corner of the world you've created. Sending you
- 20:18Speaker 4: all so much love and a little sleep deprived chaos
- 20:21Speaker 4: of Forever Scrubber Sabrina.
- 20:24Speaker 1: Sobrina, the nicest email ever I needed.
- 20:28Speaker 3: That. That was a boost.
- 20:30Speaker 1: Oh really, what's going on? No?
- 20:32Speaker 3: That was just lovely, lovely to read.
- 20:35Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, I think at the end of the day,
- 20:37Speaker 1: like I do feel really proud of the community of
- 20:40Speaker 1: people that listen to this podcast. You know, like there's
- 20:44Speaker 1: been a lot of podcasts that have come and gone
- 20:47Speaker 1: many many come on, gone, come, gone, coming, gone. Yeah,
- 20:52Speaker 1: we stayed, we did, we have stayed, and I'm glad
- 20:55Speaker 1: because I feel like we're like doing life altogether.
- 20:58Speaker 3: July.
- 21:00Speaker 2: It really does feel like that, And I think that's
- 21:02Speaker 2: the beauty of I think our Facebook group specifically, because
- 21:07Speaker 2: there's this community of people being able to reach out
- 21:09Speaker 2: and yeah, I mean obviously there's like crazy questions on
- 21:13Speaker 2: there of like.
- 21:14Speaker 1: Yeah, you know, I've been having a little tough time
- 21:17Speaker 1: in the Facebook group lately. I might have to banish
- 21:19Speaker 1: all the anonymous posting because I find those ones to
- 21:22Speaker 1: be not so lovy.
- 21:25Speaker 2: No, so yeah, I mean, listen, the it opens. It
- 21:30Speaker 2: opens a platform for opinions and critiques.
- 21:33Speaker 1: Which we're anonymous. I don't need anonymous on the Facebook
- 21:35Speaker 1: group anymore. I'm going to go on and fix that
- 21:38Speaker 1: if I learn how.
- 21:40Speaker 3: She won't, so don't worry. The future will still be there.
- 21:43Speaker 3: I will.
- 21:43Speaker 2: But I was going to say, the really beautiful bright
- 21:46Speaker 2: spot of the Facebook group is being able to reach
- 21:48Speaker 2: out when you're in a hard time and finding that
- 21:50Speaker 2: support and love. And I love that what you said
- 21:53Speaker 2: about sometimes the people that can help you the most
- 21:55Speaker 2: aren't even in your life yet. Yeah, so thank you
- 21:58Speaker 2: for sending this, Sabrina. Congratulations on your baby, and I'm
- 22:03Speaker 2: so happy you found a supportive group of people within
- 22:07Speaker 2: the scrubbing in community.
- 22:09Speaker 1: Me too. We love you so much, Sabraina.
- 22:11Speaker 3: Yeah, we love you.
- 22:13Speaker 4: Spent a big week for birthdays. Oh my gosh, right here,
- 22:17Speaker 4: and have you even met a little scoreboard ready for
- 22:18Speaker 4: you too? See who wins today? Tanya? Has it won?
- 22:24Speaker 4: First Obama term I think was the last time Tanya won. Hey, okay,
- 22:29Speaker 4: so anyway, we're back.
- 22:50Speaker 1: We're back.
- 22:53Speaker 3: You know.
- 22:53Speaker 2: The thing about Tanya in the birthday game, though, is
- 22:56Speaker 2: that we're always rooting for her, even as the competition,
- 23:02Speaker 2: we are rooting for a victory at B I C
- 23:04Speaker 2: T O R Y.
- 23:06Speaker 3: That's Tanya's battle cry. That's her birthday battle.
- 23:11Speaker 1: I feel good today. Oh yeah, I'm feeling lucky.
- 23:15Speaker 4: All right, Well, why don't we do rock paper scissors? Okay,
- 23:18Speaker 4: all right, we'll see who rock rock paper? Here we
- 23:22Speaker 4: go and rock paper scissors. Shoots scissors, shoot rock beat scissors.
- 23:28Speaker 4: Now back. You get the choice. Now you can begin
- 23:31Speaker 4: by giving an age or begin with higher or lower
- 23:33Speaker 4: because we're playing the higher lower version. Because there's only
- 23:35Speaker 4: two of you.
- 23:37Speaker 3: I'm sorry.
- 23:38Speaker 4: What well, one person gives the age, the other person
- 23:40Speaker 4: says higher or.
- 23:41Speaker 3: I'm gonna let her go. I'm gonna let her go first.
- 23:45Speaker 4: I think that is the correct move. Here we go.
- 23:48Speaker 4: We had a big birthday earlier this week. Then I
- 23:50Speaker 4: don't want to let slide by America sweetheart. Paul Rudd
- 23:55Speaker 4: was born on Monday. How old did Paul Rudd turn
- 23:58Speaker 4: on Monday? Tanya, you turn forty seven? Beca, is it
- 24:02Speaker 4: higher or lower?
- 24:04Speaker 3: Higher?
- 24:05Speaker 4: He turned fifty seven? Very good, Becca, the man does
- 24:08Speaker 4: not age. He really does look great.
- 24:10Speaker 2: My strong star strong start a tenure, guts to start.
- 24:15Speaker 4: I feel good, Becca, This is for you a birthday today.
- 24:22Speaker 4: He's had some legal troubles recently. Hopefully it'll soon be
- 24:25Speaker 4: behind him. Lil nas X taking the Old Town Road,
- 24:30Speaker 4: possibly to jail. Button. He's hoping that his time in
- 24:33Speaker 4: rehab will make that go away. Becca. How old is
- 24:36Speaker 4: he turning today?
- 24:38Speaker 3: Twenty four?
- 24:38Speaker 4: Twenty four? Older or younger? Tanya?
- 24:40Speaker 1: Older?
- 24:41Speaker 4: He's turning twenty seven to day in New York time.
- 24:44Speaker 2: Yes, I couldn't gauge if he was like a really
- 24:47Speaker 2: young teenager.
- 24:48Speaker 3: When he popped off, I knew he was not. Okay,
- 24:53Speaker 3: what's good? It is your industry?
- 24:55Speaker 4: Next one? Also today, bunch. Today, Today is a good
- 24:57Speaker 4: day for birthdays, Tanya. This is is yours. Kristin Stewart.
- 25:02Speaker 4: Some call her Ka Stu. Kristin Stewart has a birthday today.
- 25:05Speaker 4: How old is she turning?
- 25:07Speaker 3: Thirty five?
- 25:08Speaker 4: Thirty five? It's not thirty five, Becca, older or younger
- 25:12Speaker 4: than thirty five?
- 25:13Speaker 3: Older?
- 25:14Speaker 4: Today? Kristin Sewart turns thirty six very good, Becca, it
- 25:19Speaker 4: is true to one thirty six. She's currently thirty five
- 25:22Speaker 4: as of today. Well, no, I guess as of yesterday.
- 25:24Speaker 4: All right, back to you, Becca, Elle Fanning great year
- 25:31Speaker 4: Oscar nomination. El Fanning? How old is she turning today?
- 25:36Speaker 3: I think Elle is going to I'm going to say
- 25:39Speaker 3: she's thirty.
- 25:40Speaker 4: Thirty, not thirty teeny, you're older, younger than thirty?
- 25:43Speaker 1: I always forget which one's the older one.
- 25:45Speaker 4: No, we're not going to tell you anything.
- 25:47Speaker 1: Elle or Dakota. I think she's older.
- 25:50Speaker 4: Okay, so older, younger than thirty those question older than
- 25:53Speaker 4: thirty today? El Fanning turns thirty. I'm sorry, twenty eight
- 25:56Speaker 4: years old. Twenty eight. In my card, three to one beca.
- 26:04Speaker 4: And by the way, it takes four to win. It's
- 26:05Speaker 4: the best of seven, so three to one beca. So
- 26:08Speaker 4: for the win, let's see we go to Tanya on
- 26:12Speaker 4: this one. This is a millennial icon and he's a
- 26:17Speaker 4: beautiful soul. Jesse McCartney. Jesse McCartney has a birthday to day.
- 26:21Speaker 4: How old is he? Tanya? You need this to stay
- 26:23Speaker 4: in the game. Thirty nine, thirty nine years old is
- 26:26Speaker 4: absolutely right, Tanya. Wow, you needed that and she got it.
- 26:32Speaker 3: That was a good guess.
- 26:34Speaker 4: Three to two, beca Becca for the win. Another icon
- 26:40Speaker 4: in many ways from Sex and the City, Cynthia Nixon
- 26:45Speaker 4: has a birthday to day. How old is Cynthia Nixon today?
- 26:51Speaker 4: Becca wins? Becca gets it right, she wins if she loses.
- 26:54Speaker 4: If Tany gets it right, will have a final. But
- 26:57Speaker 4: I have ready to go.
- 26:59Speaker 3: I think she is.
- 27:02Speaker 4: Fifty eight, fifty eight, all right, Tanya, older or younger
- 27:06Speaker 4: than fifty eight to stay in the game. Older than
- 27:09Speaker 4: fifty eight. Today, Cynthony Nickson turns sixty years old and
- 27:14Speaker 4: we are tied. Three Tanya three, Becca.
- 27:19Speaker 2: This is it.
- 27:20Speaker 4: It all comes down to this, Tanya. We're done with
- 27:24Speaker 4: birthdays for today. I have to look at tomorrow. But
- 27:26Speaker 4: tomorrow's got a big one. Mandy Moore. We all love
- 27:30Speaker 4: Mandy Moore. She's been in this room, sat in that
- 27:32Speaker 4: chair over there. Mandy Moore from This is Us and
- 27:36Speaker 4: many other shows and movies and music. How old is
- 27:40Speaker 4: Mandy Moore turning tomorrow? Tanya?
- 27:44Speaker 1: Forty two?
- 27:46Speaker 4: Becca, she's forty two.
- 27:51Speaker 3: Very good, Tanya.
- 27:57Speaker 2: That was.
- 27:59Speaker 3: Poetic.
- 28:00Speaker 4: Want to come back down three to one and then
- 28:03Speaker 4: hits it on the head in a row too, in
- 28:06Speaker 4: a row nailed it? You way to go Tanya.
- 28:09Speaker 1: Before Jesse McCartney.
- 28:13Speaker 3: No, before me Cynthia Nixon.
- 28:15Speaker 4: But she didn't nail that one, but she got the
- 28:16Speaker 4: over under. Oh you got nailed Jason McCartney. She nailed
- 28:21Speaker 4: man anymore and she got Cynthia Nixon. What did I
- 28:24Speaker 4: send Jason Jason McCarthy. Okay, By the way, I couldn't
- 28:27Speaker 4: use this one because of the inside knowledge. But Sophia
- 28:29Speaker 4: Carson has a birthday this week.
- 28:30Speaker 1: I was hoping I would get that one.
- 28:33Speaker 4: Did you have said thirty three? Yeah, she's thirty very good. Wow,
- 28:39Speaker 4: you want anyway? You don't need personal friends. You don't
- 28:42Speaker 4: even know Wilna.
- 28:43Speaker 3: Wow, you feel high like you gotta go take your
- 28:50Speaker 3: passport now.
- 28:53Speaker 1: Now right this second?
- 28:55Speaker 3: All right, well we have to go. Tony's gotta go
- 28:57Speaker 3: the Where do you go for that, Daly?
- 29:00Speaker 1: No, No, I know the passport photo place?
- 29:03Speaker 3: Okay, you gotta go to the passport photo.
- 29:05Speaker 4: Places CVS to get ours?
- 29:07Speaker 2: Is that?
- 29:08Speaker 1: No, I'm going to go to like it's like the
- 29:10Speaker 1: FedEx place you sent stuff.
- 29:12Speaker 4: Oh yeah, we went to a Staples once to get
- 29:15Speaker 4: something like that. It was some official Oh.
- 29:18Speaker 2: It was for U.
- 29:20Speaker 4: A pre check. Oh, but it was the back of
- 29:24Speaker 4: the staples. It looked so it seems so weird lax.
- 29:27Speaker 1: For mine.
- 29:27Speaker 3: There was a desk global entry.
- 29:29Speaker 4: Oh there it was. There's a desk set up surrounded
- 29:32Speaker 4: by office chairs that you can buy, and then there's
- 29:34Speaker 4: a dusk that you couldn't buy because it was in
- 29:36Speaker 4: use by the t S a pre check person. It
- 29:38Speaker 4: was very strange.
- 29:39Speaker 3: Wow, all right, well you've got to go. We've got
- 29:42Speaker 3: to go. A big day for you. You won the
- 29:45Speaker 3: birthday game. You float on that high.
- 29:50Speaker 2: I can't wait for the cut of this because your
- 29:52Speaker 2: nostrils were flared. If she was like crying like a wolf,
- 29:56Speaker 2: crying to the moon. All right, we love you guys
- 30:00Speaker 2: so much of a great week.
- 30:01Speaker 4: We love you.
- 30:02Speaker 3: Bye h
