- 0:00Speaker 1: Fly from Midtown Manhattan. Here comes the Mark Simone Show
- 0:05Speaker 1: on seven to ten.
- 0:06Speaker 2: Woo, Hey, what's today? Thursday? Seems like the week's Oh,
- 0:16Speaker 2: it's been a hell of a week. A lot of
- 0:18Speaker 2: this a stressful, draining week because of everything going on.
- 0:22Speaker 2: But hey, we'll get to mom Donnie. We'll also give
- 0:25Speaker 2: you the whole story of how he did this. It's
- 0:28Speaker 2: an interesting behind the scenes story of how he went
- 0:30Speaker 2: from zero to forty one percent to fifty percent and
- 0:35Speaker 2: to win the election with a majority. By the way,
- 0:38Speaker 2: with a majority of the votes. Now, only let me
- 0:42Speaker 2: see forty five percent of New York voted registered voters,
- 0:47Speaker 2: which is actually less than actual population. Out of all
- 0:50Speaker 2: the registered voters in New York, only forty five percent voted.
- 0:56Speaker 2: That was it. But we'll get to the campaign, how
- 0:58Speaker 2: it worked. We'll get to the transition. We'll get to
- 1:00Speaker 2: Nancy Pelosi, she's leaving. We'll get to the shutdown. We'll
- 1:04Speaker 2: get to Oh, MSNBC. The final week is next week
- 1:08Speaker 2: of MSNBC. Then it switches to this new thing. But
- 1:12Speaker 2: we'll explain all of that coming up. Mam Donnie has
- 1:16Speaker 2: picked his transition team. Now, as we've been telling you,
- 1:21Speaker 2: it's a lot of the Deblasio people. The Deblasio staff
- 1:26Speaker 2: came in and helped the Mam Donnie campaign, and there'll
- 1:28Speaker 2: be a big party administration. So if you're wondering how
- 1:31Speaker 2: bad it's going to be, it will be very very
- 1:35Speaker 2: Deblasio like, because a lot of his people will be
- 1:39Speaker 2: involved in this. He's picked the transition team, Elena Leopold,
- 1:43Speaker 2: who was with Mayor Deblasio. She was his team's executive director,
- 1:49Speaker 2: Melanie Hartzog who's a former deputy mayor under Deblasio, Lena
- 1:56Speaker 2: Kahn's former Federal Trade Commission chare Maria Torres Springer, who
- 2:01Speaker 2: was first deputy mayor to Eric Adams. So it's a
- 2:04Speaker 2: lot of the same people from de Blasio and the
- 2:07Speaker 2: couple from Adams. But people still think it'll be a
- 2:12Speaker 2: little worse than Deblasio, only because Mom Donnie seems even
- 2:16Speaker 2: crazier than Deblasio. The billionaires, all of those big, big,
- 2:21Speaker 2: big donors who always get everything wrong in every election,
- 2:24Speaker 2: always backed the wrong candidates, always do everything wrong. You know,
- 2:28Speaker 2: they were busy pushing Cuomo. Cuomo had wooed them and
- 2:31Speaker 2: won them over, and they were all behind Cuomo, who
- 2:33Speaker 2: never had a chance. These billionaires are now all over
- 2:37Speaker 2: Mom Donnie trying to make peace with him. Bill Ackman
- 2:40Speaker 2: tweeting out, well, you know, let me help anything I
- 2:43Speaker 2: can do. I'm here for you, you know, to Mom Donnie,
- 2:47Speaker 2: he was one of the biggest guys pushing Quota, one
- 2:50Speaker 2: of the guys trying the hardest to get Curtis out
- 2:53Speaker 2: of the race. I want to do everything I can
- 2:55Speaker 2: to help you, says Ackman. Now basically see what happens
- 2:59Speaker 2: to Quotma again. The big, big donors who made fortunes
- 3:04Speaker 2: in their own industry but are absolute dopes when it
- 3:07Speaker 2: comes to politics and always get it wrong. We're all
- 3:10Speaker 2: over Cuomo. I think they're starting to see that Cuomo
- 3:13Speaker 2: was just had no shot at all. Besides the fact
- 3:16Speaker 2: that he left office in disgrace with a tremendous amount
- 3:19Speaker 2: of baggage. He was totally out of shape politically. He
- 3:23Speaker 2: saw it in the first two months of the campaign.
- 3:25Speaker 2: He was just awful, completely out of shape politically, just
- 3:29Speaker 2: didn't know what to do. So a lot of people
- 3:32Speaker 2: turning on Cuomo. Now even on the view they were
- 3:34Speaker 2: beating up Andrew Cuomo, the view that kept pushing him
- 3:38Speaker 2: slobbering all over him, adoring him the view. Joy Behar said, well,
- 3:48Speaker 2: besides saying bad things about Cuomo, she said, the Trump
- 3:52Speaker 2: endorsement was the kiss of death, absolute kiss of death.
- 4:00Speaker 2: Anna Navarro Argue said, no, no, it's Cuomo himself. Andrew
- 4:03Speaker 2: Cuomo is the kiss of death. You got to love
- 4:07Speaker 2: these democrats the way they just knee jerk, flip flop
- 4:10Speaker 2: on everything they were. They loved Cuomo. Now he's the
- 4:13Speaker 2: kiss of death, Andrew Cuomo. She says, Andrew Cuomo was
- 4:17Speaker 2: running an old nineteen seventies, an old tired campaign. Mom
- 4:21Speaker 2: Donnie was in the twenty first century doing modern day stuff.
- 4:24Speaker 2: He hit the pavement, he caught lightning in a bottle.
- 4:27Speaker 2: He captured the imagination of people. Now even President Trump
- 4:33Speaker 2: get now. He was pushing Cuomo as hard as he could.
- 4:36Speaker 2: He was behind the scenes, trying to get Curtis out,
- 4:39Speaker 2: behind the scenes. He was really really pushing Cuomo. Now
- 4:43Speaker 2: he's turned on him completely. He never liked him anyway.
- 4:46Speaker 2: But the one thing that drives Cuomo nuts is if
- 4:49Speaker 2: you call him a thug. And I don't blame him,
- 4:51Speaker 2: who wants to be called that, But that's the one
- 4:53Speaker 2: that hits a nerve with him. If you ever call
- 4:55Speaker 2: him a thug. He's actually said that the people you know,
- 4:58Speaker 2: and he's if you go after him, he'll yell and
- 5:02Speaker 2: scream at you. But the one thing I say, don't
- 5:03Speaker 2: call me a thug. I understand it. I understand he
- 5:05Speaker 2: doesn't not want to be called a thug. It's the
- 5:08Speaker 2: one word that really gets him. So yesterday President Trump
- 5:13Speaker 2: speaking to a group of men and women of Congress
- 5:16Speaker 2: Republicans from Congress at a breakfast. Then he got up
- 5:20Speaker 2: and spoke about the election, and he called Cuomo a thug. Now,
- 5:24Speaker 2: I don't think that's a coincidence. I think I think
- 5:27Speaker 2: Trump knew from different various sources that that's the word
- 5:31Speaker 2: Cuomo hates the most. So three times he called him
- 5:34Speaker 2: a thug, and then at one point he said the
- 5:37Speaker 2: whole thing was screwed up. He asked the voters to
- 5:41Speaker 2: choose between a communist or a thug. So Trump now
- 5:47Speaker 2: totally totally turned off on Cuomo. Now, what's going to
- 5:53Speaker 2: happen as far as Trump and Mom Donnie, Well, you know,
- 5:56Speaker 2: Mom Donnie, in that angry victory speech, you know he's
- 6:00Speaker 2: supposed to make a happy wonderful victory speech. But Mom, Donnie,
- 6:04Speaker 2: it was just awful. It was really angry. President Trump
- 6:09Speaker 2: talked about it.
- 6:09Speaker 3: It was a very angry speech, certainly angry toward me,
- 6:13Speaker 3: and I think he should be very nice to me.
- 6:14Speaker 3: You know, I'm the one that sort of has to
- 6:15Speaker 3: approve a lot of things coming to him. So he's
- 6:18Speaker 3: off to a bad start.
- 6:19Speaker 2: Yeah, he's supposed to be able to work with the government.
- 6:21Speaker 3: I'm so torn because I would like to see the
- 6:23Speaker 3: new mayor do well because I love New York.
- 6:26Speaker 4: I really love New York.
- 6:27Speaker 3: When I left New York for Washington, New York was
- 6:30Speaker 3: doing really well, but there were some bad signs. The
- 6:34Speaker 3: bad sign was a guy named the Blasio. So the
- 6:37Speaker 3: signe of the Blasio. That was the beginning, and it
- 6:40Speaker 3: was bad. This one. We're gonna look for a thousand years.
- 6:44Speaker 3: Communism has not worked. It just communism, or the concept
- 6:48Speaker 3: of communism has not worked. I tend to doubt it's
- 6:52Speaker 3: going to work this time.
- 6:53Speaker 2: Yeah, it was a very angry speech. I mean, especially
- 6:57Speaker 2: going after Trump.
- 6:58Speaker 5: So hear me, President Trump, when I say this, to
- 7:03Speaker 5: get to any of us, you will have to get
- 7:05Speaker 5: through all of us.
- 7:08Speaker 2: Whatever that means. But he was the smiling salesman sort
- 7:11Speaker 2: of a guy, and then he was this angry protester
- 7:14Speaker 2: at the speech. Total Jekyl and Hyde on his part,
- 7:19Speaker 2: now he has said, and he said it yesterday, he
- 7:22Speaker 2: will keep Jessica Tish as police commissioner. That would make
- 7:25Speaker 2: people happy. A lot of people think she's doing a
- 7:27Speaker 2: great job. But he was disagreeing with You know, the
- 7:32Speaker 2: crime wave, you can pretty much see where it was caused.
- 7:35Speaker 2: Andrew CuMo. You got to give him a lot of
- 7:37Speaker 2: credit for causing the crime wave when he pushed that
- 7:40Speaker 2: no bail, no jail, that cashless bail. Cromo is the
- 7:45Speaker 2: one that pushed it. He went out and campaigned for it,
- 7:47Speaker 2: made speeches for it, signed it into law. And then
- 7:51Speaker 2: you add that the no bail, no jail with Cuomo
- 7:53Speaker 2: closing the prisons, letting the prisoners out. Then you get
- 7:55Speaker 2: Alvin Bragg who won't put it but he in jail.
- 7:57Speaker 2: There's your crime wave. That's it. Mom. Donnie for some
- 8:01Speaker 2: reason has been trying to blame it on the pandemic.
- 8:03Speaker 2: Why would the pandemic cause a crime wave? I don't know.
- 8:09Speaker 2: He keeps trying to you know, Jessica Tish did police
- 8:11Speaker 2: commission keeps explaining to him it's this cashless bail. Police
- 8:15Speaker 2: officials will tell you it's the same twenty five hundred criminals.
- 8:19Speaker 2: They know who they are. They could round him up
- 8:20Speaker 2: in a couple of weeks. It's the same twenty five
- 8:22Speaker 2: hundred committing all the crimes, nothing to do with the pandemic.
- 8:25Speaker 2: But Mom Donnie won't doesn't believe it.
- 8:27Speaker 6: This is a decision to build on what she has
- 8:31Speaker 6: done in entering Eric Adams's NYPD where he stacked the
- 8:36Speaker 6: upper echelons with corruption.
- 8:38Speaker 2: That's a different cut, wrong cut, wrong cut. But she
- 8:43Speaker 2: argues with the Mom Donnie, it was caused by the
- 8:46Speaker 2: no bail, no jail.
- 8:47Speaker 7: In my opinion, crime went up as a result of
- 8:51Speaker 7: the drastic changes we made in our criminal justice laws
- 8:54Speaker 7: in New York State, not as a result of the pandemic.
- 8:58Speaker 2: But he disagrees.
- 9:00Speaker 5: Different opinion.
- 9:00Speaker 8: Uh huh.
- 9:02Speaker 5: My opinion is one that looks at the spike in
- 9:06Speaker 5: crime across the country over the course of the pandemic
- 9:11Speaker 5: and sees similar spikes.
- 9:13Speaker 2: Yeah, now this other this was uh she got decided
- 9:17Speaker 2: whether to keep Jessica till she's saying it publicly because
- 9:20Speaker 2: it's maybe because it sounds good, or maybe he really
- 9:22Speaker 2: would Now that, we don't know that she would stay
- 9:24Speaker 2: and work for him. Uh, you know, a lot of
- 9:27Speaker 2: people don't want to work for him. The fire commissioners
- 9:29Speaker 2: a great guy, Robert Tucker, he just quit. He just
- 9:31Speaker 2: announced he's leaving. So we don't know that she'll want
- 9:34Speaker 2: to work with him. Now. One thing he likes about her.
- 9:39Speaker 2: When she took office, there were a lot of corrupt
- 9:41Speaker 2: not a lot, but there was some corruption in the
- 9:45Speaker 2: top level of the NYPD, some very bad corrupt people there.
- 9:48Speaker 2: She had and it's tough to come in and fire
- 9:50Speaker 2: all these people, very high ranking people, but she cleaned
- 9:53Speaker 2: house from the got rid of these corrupt people, about
- 9:56Speaker 2: twenty of them or something, So he was happy about that.
- 9:59Speaker 6: This is a decision to build on what she has
- 10:03Speaker 6: done in entering Eric Adams's NYPD, where he stacked the
- 10:08Speaker 6: upper echelons with corruption and incompetence. She started to root
- 10:12Speaker 6: that out and also reduce crime, and also to create
- 10:18Speaker 6: the Department of Community Safety, and also to disband the
- 10:21Speaker 6: Strategic Response Group, and also to actually follow through on
- 10:25Speaker 6: the exact agenda that we've been running on.
- 10:27Speaker 2: Yeah. Now his agenda again, that's why I don't know
- 10:30Speaker 2: if she'll stay. He's got these crazy ideas, things like
- 10:32Speaker 2: the strategic response group that's for a mass shooter suddenly
- 10:36Speaker 2: on the scene. He needs stuff like that, and he
- 10:38Speaker 2: wants to you know, all this stuff about send social
- 10:41Speaker 2: workers on domestic violence calls. It's absolutely ridiculous and the
- 10:46Speaker 2: NYPD has tried it a dozen times over the last
- 10:48Speaker 2: forty years and it never ever, ever, ever works. So anyway,
- 10:53Speaker 2: we'll get back to the mirural race. We'll get to Hey,
- 10:54Speaker 2: we'll walk you through. I'll explain to you step by
- 10:56Speaker 2: step how he got to be mayor, how he went
- 10:58Speaker 2: from zero to having fifty percent of the vote. It's
- 11:02Speaker 2: an interesting story. We'll get to that. You should see
- 11:04Speaker 2: the people that are just gushing over Mamdannie. You think
- 11:08Speaker 2: that the Democrats that well, we got no choice, we
- 11:11Speaker 2: got to vote democratic, will vote for him now. They
- 11:13Speaker 2: love this guy, love this guy. There was Cynthia Nixon
- 11:17Speaker 2: Sex and the City Star. There she was at the
- 11:20Speaker 2: Mam Donnie victory speech, gushing all over him. Mandy Patinkin,
- 11:24Speaker 2: go look at the video. It's up on my Twitter.
- 11:26Speaker 2: Mandy Patinkin makes a video with mom Donnie just drooling
- 11:30Speaker 2: all over him. How grady is Keith McNally. Now, this
- 11:34Speaker 2: is a great restaurant tour Baltasar Pastise, Minetta Tavern, and
- 11:40Speaker 2: some of the top finest, most expensive restaurants in New York,
- 11:45Speaker 2: he says McNally. McNally says, Mandannie is great. He's exactly
- 11:49Speaker 2: what we need. He's just the person we need. This
- 11:52Speaker 2: is going to be great. It's the dawning of a
- 11:54Speaker 2: wonderful new era. A guy who runs expensive elitist restaurant
- 12:00Speaker 2: once a socialist. I don't know you figure it out.
- 12:03Speaker 2: I can't, but it's absolutely insane. Don't panic though, don't
- 12:10Speaker 2: panic again. It could be a lot like the Deblasio administration.
- 12:14Speaker 2: That was eight years of that. We got through that,
- 12:16Speaker 2: just fine. We got through the pandemic. We'll get through this. Hey.
- 12:20Speaker 2: Next week is the very final week of MSNBC. It
- 12:26Speaker 2: will not exist after next Friday, a week from tomorrow.
- 12:30Speaker 2: That's it for MSNBC. It will continue as something else.
- 12:34Speaker 2: They're calling it ms now. Yesterday they gave a little
- 12:38Speaker 2: tour of their new studios. Not only has NBC spun
- 12:42Speaker 2: the company off and gotten rid of it, they've ordered
- 12:45Speaker 2: them to get the NBC name and the logo out
- 12:48Speaker 2: of their name. They've also evicted them from Rockefeller Center.
- 12:52Speaker 2: They've been thrown out of the building. They're going to
- 12:55Speaker 2: what they say it's temporary headquarters. It's kind of and
- 13:00Speaker 2: steps down from where they are in Rockefeller Center. The
- 13:03Speaker 2: MSNBC studios Rockefeller Center are enormous, big, beautiful, lavish studios,
- 13:11Speaker 2: beautiful green rooms. They're moving to forty third Street Times Square.
- 13:16Speaker 2: It used to be the old New York Times building.
- 13:18Speaker 2: It's kind of an old, old old Times Square building.
- 13:21Speaker 2: They'll be in there. They unveiled the new facilities. It's
- 13:23Speaker 2: small studios, not like that big you know, that MSNBC
- 13:27Speaker 2: studio when they would do that wide shot, how big
- 13:29Speaker 2: it was. Well, it's a small studio. I actually have
- 13:32Speaker 2: three studios, but they're three small, small studios. They say
- 13:37Speaker 2: it's going to be more efficient. It's going to be cheaper,
- 13:39Speaker 2: is what it means. Cheaper. It's going to be much cheaper.
- 13:42Speaker 2: So next Friday is the last day, Friday to fifteenth,
- 13:47Speaker 2: and then I guess on Saturday it'll start. You'll see
- 13:49Speaker 2: and it'll be in this small little studio. It'll be
- 13:51Speaker 2: called ms now, and everything has been cut from you know,
- 13:55Speaker 2: they have a resources of NBC News with correspondence and
- 14:00Speaker 2: euros all over the world that can turn to the
- 14:03Speaker 2: vast resources of NBC News. They'll be losing that too,
- 14:06Speaker 2: So I don't know what they'll do. You can make
- 14:08Speaker 2: a deal with these networks to use their you can
- 14:11Speaker 2: be an affiliate of theirs. So they may try doing that,
- 14:14Speaker 2: but it's going to be a whole different place ms now.
- 14:18Speaker 2: It'll start a week from from Saturday. Hey, other good news,
- 14:23Speaker 2: Nancy Pelosi retires. You know she's now one hundred and
- 14:27Speaker 2: thirty seven years old, and said, yeah, it's time. Actually
- 14:30Speaker 2: we see eighty five. She's eighty five years old. She
- 14:33Speaker 2: retires a very very very very powerful figure in the
- 14:37Speaker 2: Democratic Party in Washington, d C. So it's a big
- 14:40Speaker 2: thing that she's leaving. Also, give her credit. She was
- 14:43Speaker 2: the greatest stock trader insiding and when it comes to
- 14:47Speaker 2: insider trading, she was the Warren Buffett of insider trading.
- 14:51Speaker 2: A lot of these people you're allowed to do it.
- 14:54Speaker 2: It's legal in Congress. You're allowed to engage in insider trading.
- 14:58Speaker 2: And if you're in Congress, you get all kinds information
- 15:00Speaker 2: ahead of the public about FDA approval or test results
- 15:05Speaker 2: or somebody's going to get a contract. You really have
- 15:08Speaker 2: inside information way ahead of the public. And it's legal.
- 15:12Speaker 2: I don't know why they haven't changed this a lot. Well,
- 15:14Speaker 2: we do because Congress would have to change it. You're
- 15:16Speaker 2: allowed to engage in insider trading, and that's how somebody
- 15:19Speaker 2: like Mikey Cheryl doesn't know what the hell she's doing,
- 15:22Speaker 2: suddenly makes seven million in a stock trade. But give
- 15:25Speaker 2: Pelosi credit, She's the Warren Buffett of insider trading, probably
- 15:29Speaker 2: set the all time record, got herself up to I
- 15:31Speaker 2: think eight hundred million with the insider trading, hundreds and
- 15:36Speaker 2: hundreds and hundreds of millions. Anyway, we'll get back to
- 15:38Speaker 2: Mom Donnie. We've got a lot to talk about. We'll
- 15:41Speaker 2: get to that coming up, and we'll take some calls. Next.
- 15:43Speaker 2: Eight hundred three to two one zero seven ten is
- 15:47Speaker 2: the number. Eight hundred three two one zero seven ten.
- 15:52Speaker 1: Get instant access to Mark by setting a pre set
- 15:55Speaker 1: in the iHeartRadio app for his live show and his podcast.
- 16:00Speaker 1: Now back to the Mark Simone Show on wo or.
- 16:05Speaker 2: Hey, let's take some calls. Let's go to Steve at Manhattan, Steve,
- 16:09Speaker 2: how you doing all right?
- 16:11Speaker 9: And you know everybody surprised about this election.
- 16:15Speaker 10: You bring in a million third world and they vote
- 16:17Speaker 10: for a third World of for Maya, and you're surprised
- 16:20Speaker 10: by this.
- 16:21Speaker 2: All right, Steve, Thanks for Colin. Let's go to Dave
- 16:23Speaker 2: in New Jersey. Dave, how you doing?
- 16:26Speaker 11: Hey? With everything that's going on, I'm just a little
- 16:29Speaker 11: bit better than perfect hey with this thing with Mikey Cheryl.
- 16:33Speaker 11: She says she's gonna freeze the price on the electric
- 16:36Speaker 11: bills in New Jersey. Does that mean they can't go
- 16:40Speaker 11: down as well?
- 16:42Speaker 2: Well, that's probably that's a good point. That's probably what
- 16:44Speaker 2: she meant. Yeah, because you got President Trump in office,
- 16:48Speaker 2: who's going to increase drilling and natural gas. You know,
- 16:51Speaker 2: his all of the above approaches. Everything you got that
- 16:55Speaker 2: does bring prices down. And there's more and more and
- 16:58Speaker 2: more and more drilling, which oil prices down. So you're right,
- 17:01Speaker 2: that's probably why she wants to freeze it. Let's go
- 17:03Speaker 2: to Bill in Pennsylvania. Bill, how you doing?
- 17:07Speaker 12: Oh?
- 17:07Speaker 4: I'm tickety boo, but I want to say something. I
- 17:11Speaker 4: agree with you that Leticia James as probably the ito
- 17:15Speaker 4: of salary. But I mean, she almost shook down the
- 17:19Speaker 4: two party system by bankrupting the love of good candidate.
- 17:23Speaker 4: Is there any consequence of this ever going to happen
- 17:26Speaker 4: of what happening?
- 17:29Speaker 10: I mean, is she going to face any sort of Oh.
- 17:31Speaker 2: Oh yeah, she's been indicted. She's been indicted on charges
- 17:34Speaker 2: of mortgage fraud. She's about to go to trial. She's
- 17:36Speaker 2: in fact hired Abby Lowell, who is the top Washington
- 17:42Speaker 2: d C attorney. That's the guy to go to. So
- 17:44Speaker 2: she's taken this very seriously if she hired Abby Lowell. Yeah,
- 17:48Speaker 2: she's already under indictment mortgage fraud, and apparently there's more
- 17:52Speaker 2: charges coming because when you get caught with that mortgage fraud,
- 17:56Speaker 2: you then get hit with tax fraud because you're cheating
- 17:59Speaker 2: the irs, so they'll be tax fraud all sorts of stuff.
- 18:03Speaker 13: Come.
- 18:03Speaker 2: Yeah, she's already under indictment, already lawyered up, already headed
- 18:07Speaker 2: to court. Let's go to Jim in Brooklyn. Jim, how
- 18:09Speaker 2: you doing.
- 18:11Speaker 14: Doing great? I just had a little tidbit about that
- 18:14Speaker 14: Louver heist in France.
- 18:16Speaker 2: The louver, Oh, the louver, Yes, yes, the lose.
- 18:21Speaker 14: Sorry I like to mispronounce French.
- 18:25Speaker 2: Okay, I worked, Were you involved?
- 18:29Speaker 14: I wish I get my name out there. But anyway,
- 18:32Speaker 14: they not only were they using for the security system
- 18:36Speaker 14: Windows XP. You remember that, yeah, I mean that's like
- 18:39Speaker 14: fifteen twenty years old. Okay, the password for their entire
- 18:43Speaker 14: security system. You're gonna like this, Yeah, you better write.
- 18:47Speaker 15: It that wall.
- 18:48Speaker 2: We don't how much time. It's only a two hour show.
- 18:49Speaker 2: You got to get it. You gotta strut the sentences.
- 18:52Speaker 14: Okay.
- 18:53Speaker 2: It was louver, I mean the lover. Yeah, okay, well
- 18:56Speaker 2: that's a pretty good password because a lot of people
- 18:58Speaker 2: can't spell how do you spell it? L o U
- 19:03Speaker 2: v r E. I think I don't know. Yeah, well
- 19:05Speaker 2: it's government, you know, government run stuff. They use old, old,
- 19:08Speaker 2: old equipment. They're on an old Windows XP. But but
- 19:12Speaker 2: still it was more to it than that. And they
- 19:15Speaker 2: really seriously think that there was an insider or too
- 19:20Speaker 2: involved who showed them the security system, showed them all this,
- 19:24Speaker 2: and they still haven't figured out the jewels were stolen.
- 19:28Speaker 2: Was it a collector, some very very wealthy collector, some
- 19:31Speaker 2: sort of James Bond villain type of guy who wanted
- 19:34Speaker 2: them just to have them and hired this team to
- 19:37Speaker 2: do it, or was the idea, I mean, you can't
- 19:40Speaker 2: just sell the pieces, they're too well known. Was the
- 19:42Speaker 2: idea to bust them up and sell all the jewels separately.
- 19:46Speaker 2: They've caught to two of them. They'll get the rest eventually.
- 19:49Speaker 2: And again they still think they've got some sort of
- 19:52Speaker 2: cell phone records, some sort of digital communication between people
- 19:56Speaker 2: inside the museum and these guys, so they think there
- 19:59Speaker 2: was some inc I'd help. Let's go to Mike in Florida. Mike,
- 20:02Speaker 2: how you're doing.
- 20:04Speaker 9: Good morning, Mark, Yes, Mike.
- 20:07Speaker 3: White Dahak claiming to be a Cuomo sexual when he
- 20:10Speaker 3: was standing remember Joy the pandemic.
- 20:14Speaker 2: Yeah, we're talking about Yea, your phone keeps cutting out.
- 20:18Speaker 2: You're we're talking about the You gotta remember when Cuomo
- 20:21Speaker 2: was popular. That was when he did those daily press conferences,
- 20:24Speaker 2: those daily briefings during the pandemic, and people used to
- 20:27Speaker 2: watch them every day and they, you know, they called
- 20:30Speaker 2: them Cuomo sexuals. He was like a matinee star every day.
- 20:35Speaker 2: And Joy Behart and the others. But you have to
- 20:38Speaker 2: remember something. It was a lockdown. It was a pandemic.
- 20:42Speaker 2: You were trapped in your house, a lock a literal lockdown.
- 20:45Speaker 2: You were trapped in your house and frightened. That's why
- 20:48Speaker 2: everybody watched that every day. That's why he became so popular.
- 20:52Speaker 2: If he tried it now now, right now, just every
- 20:56Speaker 2: day at noon, he'll talk for an hour, nobody would watch.
- 20:59Speaker 2: It's only because you were terrified of the pandemic and
- 21:03Speaker 2: you couldn't go anywhere. You were stuck there watching it.
- 21:05Speaker 2: So and it was on every channel. So it's not
- 21:08Speaker 2: that he was great at a press conference. It's not
- 21:10Speaker 2: that he had anything to say. That's why it worked.
- 21:12Speaker 2: If he did it right now, every day live YouTube,
- 21:16Speaker 2: you'll give you nobody. His own family wouldn't watch it.
- 21:19Speaker 2: It's like you remember the when the Iraq War broke out.
- 21:22Speaker 2: It was kind of scary to a lot of people.
- 21:24Speaker 2: We were suddenly at war in Iraq and Rumsfeld, Secretary
- 21:28Speaker 2: of Defense. Rumsfeld did that daily briefing, same thing happening.
- 21:30Speaker 2: You go back and look up these articles. Rumsfeld was
- 21:33Speaker 2: suddenly a superstar. They all loved Rumsfeld. And you know,
- 21:39Speaker 2: once people weren't so scared and they didn't have to
- 21:40Speaker 2: watch it, and then nobody they al a sudden, everybody
- 21:42Speaker 2: hated him. So again, let's challenge Cuomo do a daily
- 21:46Speaker 2: press conference every day right now, twelve noon, every day
- 21:50Speaker 2: for an hour. Let's see who you can get to
- 21:51Speaker 2: watch it now, just based on your personality. Hey, when
- 21:54Speaker 2: we come back, Steve Moore, we hope we'll be with us.
- 21:57Speaker 2: Steve Moore, the great economists. We'll talk about the shutdown,
- 22:00Speaker 2: on the economy, and a whole lot more coming up
- 22:02Speaker 2: next on seven ten Woor.
- 22:06Speaker 1: Mister New York marks them on.
- 22:10Speaker 2: W alarm. Well, he got a great economist, Steve Moore.
- 22:14Speaker 2: You should get his book, The Trump Economic Miracle. You'll
- 22:17Speaker 2: love it, and you should check out. He runs the
- 22:19Speaker 2: Committee to Unleash Prosperity and every day they put out
- 22:22Speaker 2: the best daily briefing, the best news, analysis and stories.
- 22:26Speaker 2: It's free. It'll come right to your email for free.
- 22:29Speaker 2: You can just go subscribe it. Just go to Unleash
- 22:31Speaker 2: Prosperity dot com. Steve Moore, How you doing.
- 22:36Speaker 8: Hey, Mark, Well I've been doing better. I'm not real
- 22:39Speaker 8: happy about what happened on Tuesday. I'm kind of despondent
- 22:43Speaker 8: about it. Actually, that you know, more than half of
- 22:47Speaker 8: New York voters voted for socialists. I don't quite understand it.
- 22:50Speaker 8: I don't understand why, you know, when you may know
- 22:55Speaker 8: that I met Milton Friedman and became friends with us
- 22:58Speaker 8: towards the end of his life. And I remember one
- 23:00Speaker 8: of the last dinners I had with him before he died.
- 23:03Speaker 8: You know, he turned to me, he said, Steve, you
- 23:04Speaker 8: know that he was kind of despotting himself. He said,
- 23:07Speaker 8: you know, the enduring lesson of the twentieth century for
- 23:10Speaker 8: anyone who's historian, was that, you know, socialism, communism, leninism,
- 23:17Speaker 8: all these things are a disaster, and a free enterprise,
- 23:21Speaker 8: free markets are what great prosperity. And yet and he said,
- 23:25Speaker 8: yet all these kids are graduating from college thinking the opposite.
- 23:29Speaker 8: And he was right.
- 23:30Speaker 2: And we've learned that.
- 23:31Speaker 8: You know, did you see it was the college educated
- 23:33Speaker 8: who wrote from MANDONI.
- 23:34Speaker 2: Yeah, but these colleges about twenty five thirty years ago
- 23:37Speaker 2: became indoctrination centers, left wing kooch profess Exactly.
- 23:40Speaker 8: How do we think it's actually been going on for
- 23:42Speaker 8: more than twenty five years? But they're in doctrinating with
- 23:45Speaker 8: kids with completely lunatic ideas. And you know, I was
- 23:49Speaker 8: on Fox the other day and Will Kane asked me, Hey,
- 23:53Speaker 8: Steve has socialism, communism ever worked anywhere? And I said, well,
- 23:56Speaker 8: it could work in heaven. Yeah, you know where people
- 23:59Speaker 8: are angels. But you know, here on earth where we're
- 24:02Speaker 8: not angels. You know, you need a you know, where
- 24:05Speaker 8: we pursue our self interest. You know, the best way
- 24:09Speaker 8: to organize a society is for enterprise.
- 24:11Speaker 2: Yeah, well, listen, it didn't work the first one hundred
- 24:15Speaker 2: and seventy five thousand times. Maybe it'll work this time exactly.
- 24:19Speaker 8: Could be you know, you never you never say number.
- 24:22Speaker 8: But but listen, I mean the idea, for example, of
- 24:24Speaker 8: raising the income tax rate to sixteen and a half
- 24:28Speaker 8: percent when you're all ready the highest tax city in
- 24:32Speaker 8: the North America and you want to retain your status
- 24:37Speaker 8: as the you know, the financial capital of the world
- 24:41Speaker 8: with Wall Street, how are you going to do that
- 24:43Speaker 8: with a tax that high? It's going to people. I've
- 24:45Speaker 8: said it and I said it again. I believe now
- 24:48Speaker 8: Wall Street is going to slowly continue to move out
- 24:51Speaker 8: of New York and it'll move probably to Dallas, Texas. Well.
- 24:54Speaker 2: They already have these huge yo Wall Street, the huge
- 24:58Speaker 2: operations Dallas and other places. But yes, are those more
- 25:01Speaker 2: backroom jobs that it's not actual trading floors, are they.
- 25:06Speaker 8: Well, they're gonna Yeah, they're going to have a tax
- 25:08Speaker 8: Texas Stock Exchange. They just opened one a month ago. No,
- 25:10Speaker 8: I don't know how far along it is. I don't know,
- 25:13Speaker 8: but you know, I think one thing that may happen is,
- 25:15Speaker 8: you know, they're going to have to get a crane
- 25:17Speaker 8: and lift the iconic bowl on Wall Street and move
- 25:20Speaker 8: it to Dallas, you know. And it's just it's sad
- 25:23Speaker 8: because New York is one of our most important, you know,
- 25:26Speaker 8: our most important and powerful city, not just in the
- 25:29Speaker 8: United States, but I say.
- 25:30Speaker 2: In the world.
- 25:31Speaker 8: And uh, we got eight million people live there. And
- 25:34Speaker 8: you know what's really sad about this is the people
- 25:36Speaker 8: are going to take the biggest hit of these lowest
- 25:39Speaker 8: income people because you know, when the millionaires and billionaires leave,
- 25:42Speaker 8: they're not going to pay all these taxes and then
- 25:44Speaker 8: and I know who's going to pay them.
- 25:46Speaker 2: Yeah. Hey, one thing about socialism that does work. Whenever
- 25:50Speaker 2: the government socialists, you know, when they try to help
- 25:52Speaker 2: the poor, somehow, it always ends up helping the rich
- 25:55Speaker 2: a lot more, very wealthy people too.
- 25:57Speaker 8: Well, true, yeah it is, that's appsally true. And and
- 26:01Speaker 8: you see that, by the way, like California is another
- 26:04Speaker 8: good example. You know, the left always talks about, you know,
- 26:07Speaker 8: the division of wealth and the gap between the rich
- 26:10Speaker 8: and poor. You know what state has the biggest gap
- 26:12Speaker 8: between rich and poor California, and yet they have the
- 26:14Speaker 8: most liberal you know, and the second most you know,
- 26:17Speaker 8: biggest gap between rich and poor is is in New York.
- 26:20Speaker 8: Now what's going to happen. You're going to raise your
- 26:22Speaker 8: taxes right on all the rich people, and they're going
- 26:26Speaker 8: to a lot of not all of them, but a
- 26:28Speaker 8: lot of them will leave. And you know, when the
- 26:31Speaker 8: head of Citadel, Ken Griffin left Chicago's you know, I
- 26:34Speaker 8: grew up in Chicago, so I followed Chicago very closely.
- 26:36Speaker 8: And when I grew up, it was one of the
- 26:38Speaker 8: ten greatest cities on the planet. And then they started
- 26:42Speaker 8: electing these crazy, uh you know, people like Brandon Johnson,
- 26:48Speaker 8: and so these people like Ken Griffin up and left.
- 26:50Speaker 8: He's a billionaire and all of a sudden, all that
- 26:52Speaker 8: he was the single biggest philanthropist in the city. He
- 26:55Speaker 8: you know, gave money to the Museum of Science and Industry,
- 26:58Speaker 8: all the homeless shelters, all the food kitchens, all the
- 27:01Speaker 8: you know, orphanages, blah blah blah. And then they said, gee,
- 27:04Speaker 8: what happened all that money? Why Why isn't he given
- 27:07Speaker 8: us money anymore? He didn't live there anymore, you idiots.
- 27:09Speaker 8: He moved.
- 27:10Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, he bought a two hundred and fifty
- 27:13Speaker 2: million dollar apartment right down this right two blocks over
- 27:15Speaker 2: on fifty ninth Street there. So yeah, but I think
- 27:18Speaker 2: he technically lives in Florida. So but give people some hope.
- 27:22Speaker 2: Then we go through this with the Blasio. We got
- 27:24Speaker 2: through eight years of him, won't it. It'll be okay,
- 27:26Speaker 2: won't it.
- 27:28Speaker 8: You know, yeah, I think it's not going to be
- 27:30Speaker 8: a disaster, but it's going to it's just going to
- 27:32Speaker 8: be a demise of New York City. And you know,
- 27:37Speaker 8: you know what's most maddening about this, or something you
- 27:39Speaker 8: can appreciate is, you know, when in the mid nineties
- 27:43Speaker 8: when Rudy Giuliani was elected mayor. And by the way,
- 27:46Speaker 8: Rudy was not a saint. I like Rudy a lot,
- 27:48Speaker 8: but you know, he's not a saint. But he did
- 27:50Speaker 8: a lot of things that were just obvious. He cut taxes,
- 27:52Speaker 8: he reduced crime, he got rid of the graffiti and
- 27:55Speaker 8: the and the failth in the city, and he made
- 27:59Speaker 8: it a livaboo city again. And guess what, New York
- 28:02Speaker 8: City had a renaissance and it was great to see
- 28:05Speaker 8: you could see a week after you lived there. Right
- 28:06Speaker 8: during Rudy's retrain, you just got better and better and better.
- 28:10Speaker 8: And what's so sad is now you've got Mndonnee coming,
- 28:13Speaker 8: who's going to go right back to the policies before
- 28:16Speaker 8: Rudy came in, and you were just going to see
- 28:17Speaker 8: a decline and it's gonna be a steady and slow decline.
- 28:22Speaker 8: But it is going to happen because show me anywhere
- 28:24Speaker 8: where you raised taxes and it's it's made things better.
- 28:28Speaker 2: Hey, Steve Moore, all kinds of rumors coming out of
- 28:31Speaker 2: Washington that the shutdown will end on Friday. Democrats wanted
- 28:34Speaker 2: to use it in the election, that they'll make a
- 28:36Speaker 2: deal Friday.
- 28:37Speaker 8: What do you think, Well, I think they've been in
- 28:40Speaker 8: boldened by this election, which you know, which was a
- 28:43Speaker 8: big landslide for Democrats, and so now they feel like
- 28:47Speaker 8: they don't have to make a deal at least that's
- 28:49Speaker 8: what I'm hearing from my Senate friends, that it's that's
- 28:51Speaker 8: making it harder to get a deal from them because
- 28:54Speaker 8: they want to stick it to Trump. But it's causing
- 28:56Speaker 8: real problems. I travel all the time. I missed your
- 28:59Speaker 8: Soul last week because I was on the road. And
- 29:01Speaker 8: you know, you get to the airports. Now it's chaos,
- 29:04Speaker 8: you know, it really is. You know, it seems like
- 29:06Speaker 8: twenty percent of the flights are either delayed or canceled,
- 29:09Speaker 8: and people you can't get through the security lines and
- 29:11Speaker 8: all of this stuff. And you know, the thing that's
- 29:13Speaker 8: so maddening is this is exactly what the Democrats wanted.
- 29:16Speaker 8: They wanted the kaos they want, the mayhem they want.
- 29:19Speaker 8: They wouldn't even open up the they wouldn't even pay
- 29:21Speaker 8: the military for goodness sakes.
- 29:24Speaker 2: Well, that's one good thing about the shutdown. We get
- 29:26Speaker 2: we have you here. We know you're going to be
- 29:27Speaker 2: here every Thursday with the shutdown.
- 29:29Speaker 8: Yeah, oh my gosh. But it's you know, look, this
- 29:33Speaker 8: is this is all going to turn out. And the
- 29:34Speaker 8: good news is, you know a lot of people said, oh,
- 29:36Speaker 8: the big problem right now they vote from any because
- 29:39Speaker 8: of the affordability crisis. So now I guess the government's
- 29:42Speaker 8: just going to give stuff away for free.
- 29:44Speaker 2: Yeah, inflation they hit Trump with this that you know,
- 29:49Speaker 2: he's problems with inflation. The it's absolutely not true. Inflation
- 29:53Speaker 2: was very, very high. It's coming down slowly, but it's
- 29:55Speaker 2: coming down, isn't it.
- 29:56Speaker 14: Yes, it is.
- 29:57Speaker 8: Yeah. And you know people are angry, like my wife
- 30:00Speaker 8: about how much you pay for you know, coffee and
- 30:03Speaker 8: you know, beef and things like that. Well, yeah, that's
- 30:05Speaker 8: because they went up by twenty five percent when when
- 30:08Speaker 8: Biden was president, you know. And now the Democrats are blaming.
- 30:11Speaker 8: And by the way, why did prices go through the
- 30:13Speaker 8: roof Because they spent in borrowed five trillion dollars. That's why.
- 30:18Speaker 2: So I remember long before Trump won, asking you how
- 30:21Speaker 2: long will it take for it to come down really
- 30:23Speaker 2: take effect? You said it will take a year to
- 30:26Speaker 2: really fix.
- 30:26Speaker 8: That, and he has. It's been nine months. He's already done.
- 30:29Speaker 8: I mean, we're at we're at three percent inflation right now,
- 30:31Speaker 8: which is still above where we want to be. But
- 30:34Speaker 8: ladies and gentlemen, it went up to nine point one
- 30:36Speaker 8: percent under Biden. So that's one third as high as
- 30:39Speaker 8: it was when Biden was present. Uh so we're making
- 30:41Speaker 8: progress here. And by the way, the four percent economic
- 30:44Speaker 8: growth is what the Atlanta Fed is now saying four percent.
- 30:47Speaker 8: We never had four percent growth under Biden.
- 30:49Speaker 2: Yeah, and you know they throw in healthcare and educational cost.
- 30:54Speaker 2: That's not really a product of inflation. That's a whole
- 30:56Speaker 2: separate problem, isn't it.
- 30:58Speaker 8: The healthcare You know, this is a real danger mark
- 31:02Speaker 8: because I have some friends who called me yesterday said
- 31:05Speaker 8: they just got their healthcare statement about what's going to
- 31:08Speaker 8: happen with their premiums next year that they pay for
- 31:11Speaker 8: their health care, and they're going up twenty five to
- 31:13Speaker 8: thirty in some cases thirty five percent. That's not Trump
- 31:16Speaker 8: didn't wait a minute. Fifteen years ago, didn't we pass
- 31:19Speaker 8: something called the Affordable Care Act? I thought that was
- 31:22Speaker 8: going to get rid of all these price increases. You know,
- 31:24Speaker 8: since we've paid we passed the Affordable Care Act, the
- 31:27Speaker 8: cost of healthcare is tripled.
- 31:29Speaker 2: Yeah. And again not if that's not an inflation, that's
- 31:32Speaker 2: a whole other situation causing that.
- 31:35Speaker 8: It's because we have the government running the healthcare system.
- 31:38Speaker 8: You know, what was the old line by what was
- 31:42Speaker 8: his name? That the humorous PJ.
- 31:43Speaker 2: O'Rourke.
- 31:44Speaker 8: He used to say, do you think healthcare is expensive?
- 31:46Speaker 13: Now?
- 31:46Speaker 8: Wait till the government gives it away for free.
- 31:50Speaker 2: Well, Steve Moore, great stuff. Everybody. Get his book, The
- 31:52Speaker 2: Trump Economic Miracle. You'll learn a lot. Also, you got
- 31:56Speaker 2: the best daily briefing I've ever. It's free, it comes
- 31:59Speaker 2: to your meeting every day. Just go go to unleash
- 32:02Speaker 2: proseper sign up for it unleash prosperity dot com. Steve Moore,
- 32:08Speaker 2: thanks for being with us. Thank you, Mark, All right,
- 32:10Speaker 2: take care anyway we got Oh, you know, we'll get
- 32:14Speaker 2: back to the mirural race in the next hour. We'll
- 32:18Speaker 2: check in with Curtis too. I think Curtis talked to
- 32:20Speaker 2: Mom Donnie after the election, so we'll see what that
- 32:23Speaker 2: conversation was like. And don't forget Buck and Clay will
- 32:25Speaker 2: be here with a great show today at noon. Then
- 32:28Speaker 2: Sean Hannity. I think he's live from New York from
- 32:31Speaker 2: the big Patriot Freedom Awards or tonight, so he'll be
- 32:35Speaker 2: live from there three o'clock, the most listen to radio
- 32:38Speaker 2: show in America, Jesse Kelly at six, and Jimmy Fayla,
- 32:41Speaker 2: who's also appearing at the Patriot Awards tonight. He'll be
- 32:45Speaker 2: here nine o'clock on seven to ten. Wr you know
- 32:50Speaker 2: what's why he tells you?
- 32:51Speaker 1: Why Mark Simone, he's on seven ten woo.
- 32:57Speaker 2: Well, coming up the next hour, we'll get to mom, Donnie,
- 33:00Speaker 2: how exactly did he do it? How did he go
- 33:02Speaker 2: from zero to getting a majority of the vote in
- 33:05Speaker 2: New York. We'll get to that and a lot more
- 33:06Speaker 2: coming up in the next hour. Don't forget Buck and
- 33:09Speaker 2: Clay Noon Today with an excellent show, and then Sean
- 33:13Speaker 2: Hannity Live from Long Island today. The Big Patriot Awards
- 33:17Speaker 2: are taking place out there, so you can hear him
- 33:20Speaker 2: from three to six. I'm here every day ten to noon,
- 33:23Speaker 2: or you can listen anytime you want. Just get the
- 33:26Speaker 2: podcast back right after the news on seven to ten.
- 33:30Speaker 1: Wrck to Mark Simone on, Hey, we got a lot
- 33:40Speaker 1: to get to this hour.
- 33:42Speaker 2: So, Mom, Donnie, how did this happen? How did we
- 33:48Speaker 2: get stuck with this crazy guy with a angry acceptance
- 33:52Speaker 2: speech like we've never seen before. He held a press
- 33:56Speaker 2: conference yesterday.
- 33:57Speaker 16: I think there are a lot of voters for whom
- 33:59Speaker 16: the trust comes from the actions that you actually take.
- 34:02Speaker 16: Many have, like you know, I've understandably been disappointed by
- 34:05Speaker 16: politics and the promises that have been made by many
- 34:07Speaker 16: before me. Now my opportunity is actually to deliver it.
- 34:10Speaker 2: Now, that's one of the secrets. He looks good, he's
- 34:13Speaker 2: got a nice smile, and he talks very fast. You know,
- 34:15Speaker 2: when you talk like this and you keep going in
- 34:17Speaker 2: and talk very quickly, people think he must be very smart. Otherwise,
- 34:19Speaker 2: how would you talk so fast if you weren't that smart?
- 34:22Speaker 2: As opposed to Andrew Cuomo, who talks like this, but
- 34:27Speaker 2: he's a great salesman, can he actually get anything done.
- 34:30Speaker 16: I'm looking forward to showing the power of an example
- 34:32Speaker 16: here in New York City, an example of what it
- 34:34Speaker 16: means to not just diagnose the despair in working people's
- 34:38Speaker 16: lives as the cost of living crisis, but to deliver
- 34:40Speaker 16: on it. And that's the contrast between myself and President Trump.
- 34:43Speaker 2: Yeah, see, you use those kind of words. He was
- 34:46Speaker 2: going to diagnose the despair of the cost of living crisis.
- 34:49Speaker 2: It just sounds good. But you know, this is a
- 34:52Speaker 2: frightening time for him because this is the first time
- 34:54Speaker 2: he's ever going to actually have a job. This is
- 34:56Speaker 2: the first job on his resume. I know he was
- 34:58Speaker 2: in the legislature, but that assembly that it's like a
- 35:00Speaker 2: part time it's not a real job. He's in the
- 35:04Speaker 2: Puerto Rico right now. Believe it or not. Every year
- 35:07Speaker 2: the Democrats here in New York, the Democrats have some
- 35:10Speaker 2: sort of I don't know what you call it. I
- 35:12Speaker 2: guess they would claim it's a conference, a convention. I
- 35:15Speaker 2: don't know what the hell it is. It's in Puerto Rico.
- 35:17Speaker 2: Every year they all go down there for a few days,
- 35:19Speaker 2: a whole weekend in Puerto Rico. They give it some
- 35:22Speaker 2: fancy business like name, but it's really just wasting a
- 35:27Speaker 2: lot of money in Puerto Rico. But what it really is,
- 35:30Speaker 2: all the lobbyists fly down there, all the big lobbyists
- 35:34Speaker 2: and donors, and they mingle and mix with these politicians
- 35:38Speaker 2: and all kinds of Weasley deals are made down there.
- 35:41Speaker 2: So mom, Donnie has flown down there to be a
- 35:45Speaker 2: part of all of this. Now, a lot of business leaders, billionaires,
- 35:49Speaker 2: all these CEOs, they've been quietly reaching out to him.
- 35:52Speaker 2: There have been a lot of meetings, conversations trying to
- 35:55Speaker 2: He's trying to make peace with them, trying to They're
- 35:58Speaker 2: trying to start some kind of relationship with him. You
- 36:00Speaker 2: know whatever, there's a new mayor. The billionaires all have
- 36:03Speaker 2: to get to know him, and what they usually do.
- 36:07Speaker 2: The billionaire calls around to see who knows this guy,
- 36:10Speaker 2: who can set up a lunch or dinner or a
- 36:12Speaker 2: phone call, and usually they'll find somebody they know who
- 36:16Speaker 2: knows him and can arrange the luncheon. If not, every
- 36:19Speaker 2: billionaire has lobbyists on the payroll. Big lobbyists are usually
- 36:23Speaker 2: very well connected, democratic city hall types, and they arrange
- 36:27Speaker 2: the meeting and then you meet with the guy and
- 36:29Speaker 2: you try to start a relationship with him. Now, some
- 36:34Speaker 2: of them were easier than others. Bill Deblasia was the
- 36:39Speaker 2: easiest because he was looking for looking for billionaires. He
- 36:42Speaker 2: would show up at the Al Smith dinner wherever it was,
- 36:45Speaker 2: where every billionaire in town would be there. He'd just
- 36:48Speaker 2: walk right up to me. You have my cell number?
- 36:50Speaker 8: Right?
- 36:51Speaker 2: No, well, let me give it to you. They know
- 36:54Speaker 2: what that man. You call me anytime you need anything.
- 36:56Speaker 2: We'll be calling you if we need donations. So you
- 36:59Speaker 2: can start that kind relationship with Here's more, Amom donny businesses.
- 37:03Speaker 16: The city's inability to provide childcare means that businesses often
- 37:07Speaker 16: have to provide stipends for that childcare. Right now, the
- 37:09Speaker 16: absence of universal childcare means that a family will pay
- 37:12Speaker 16: around twenty two five dollars a year.
- 37:15Speaker 2: See, it sounds very smart, very smart with his stipends
- 37:17Speaker 2: and all that, and it's very sounds very academic about it.
- 37:21Speaker 2: And one good thing about academic they can never actually
- 37:23Speaker 2: make it work in the real world. But again, the
- 37:27Speaker 2: socialism stuff. The end result of socialism. Whenever they try
- 37:31Speaker 2: this stuff, it screws up the poor even more and
- 37:35Speaker 2: it really helps the rich. Nobody profits more in these
- 37:38Speaker 2: socialist things than the rich, the oligarchs. That's where that
- 37:41Speaker 2: term comes to. The oligarchs. They all came from these
- 37:44Speaker 2: socialist places. You know, Like the inflation is coming down slowly,
- 37:49Speaker 2: but surely, prices are dropping on everything. But they'll say,
- 37:53Speaker 2: and this is what Democrats did in the election. You know,
- 37:55Speaker 2: they may say the price so this is down in
- 37:56Speaker 2: the price of that. But healthcare universities, that's way well,
- 38:01Speaker 2: uniprice at universities has nothing to do with inflation. It's
- 38:04Speaker 2: a whole separate thing. And the price of healthcare all
- 38:07Speaker 2: has to do with the government taking it over and
- 38:08Speaker 2: making it inefficient. And you know that sort of healthcare
- 38:13Speaker 2: is government run inefficiency regulations that drives up that cost.
- 38:17Speaker 2: It's not a direct result of inflation. But how the
- 38:21Speaker 2: hell did Mam Danny do this? Mom? Donnie came out
- 38:26Speaker 2: of nowhere. He was an absolutely zero in the polls,
- 38:30Speaker 2: absolutely zero. He put together a coalition. A lot of
- 38:37Speaker 2: it was young young Brooklyn, the gentrifiers, you know, the
- 38:40Speaker 2: Queen all these hipster young Brooklyn people, and there's a
- 38:45Speaker 2: ton of the millions of them, and then a lot
- 38:48Speaker 2: of the working class of Queens, the poor of Queens.
- 38:51Speaker 2: He put them together and just harnessed all this. But
- 38:54Speaker 2: there were also a lot of backroom deals that followed.
- 38:58Speaker 2: You know, way back then, in the beginning, early in
- 39:00Speaker 2: the year, he started arranging meetings with the CEOs, intimate
- 39:05Speaker 2: phone calls and all sorts of things. There's a woman
- 39:07Speaker 2: named Kathy Wilde who runs the whatever they call that
- 39:10Speaker 2: partnership from New York. It's like a club for CEOs,
- 39:15Speaker 2: all the billionaires and CEOs. It supposedly does some kind
- 39:19Speaker 2: of work. Nobody knows what the hell they do. And
- 39:21Speaker 2: the people that work there overpay themselves like crazy. But
- 39:25Speaker 2: she made a lot of the introductions. She introduced them
- 39:27Speaker 2: a lot of people. They had a series of events
- 39:32Speaker 2: and then billionaires got to know him. And it wasn't
- 39:35Speaker 2: that he was trying to win them over, become friends
- 39:38Speaker 2: and them. He's just trying to calm them down a little.
- 39:40Speaker 2: Then all these young people that got behind Mom Donny,
- 39:44Speaker 2: he knew how to harness it. And the problem with
- 39:47Speaker 2: the guy like Cuomo, he's still in the nineteen seventies
- 39:49Speaker 2: with bumper stickers and buttons that you wear. Well, that
- 39:51Speaker 2: doesn't mean anything one thing about all these young people
- 39:54Speaker 2: they want a lot of them have a loneliness to them.
- 39:57Speaker 2: You know, they're kind of isolated and they're always on
- 39:59Speaker 2: their everything is online. They socialize on TikTok and stuff
- 40:04Speaker 2: like that, but not in person. So Mam Donnie started
- 40:07Speaker 2: to create events instead of hanging out bumper stickers and
- 40:11Speaker 2: campaign buttons. He did a citywide scavenger hunt, He did
- 40:16Speaker 2: a soccer tournament Coney Island, all sorts of events where
- 40:19Speaker 2: people showed up and it created a whole social life
- 40:21Speaker 2: for them. It also got them organized into a movement
- 40:25Speaker 2: and they became volunteers. He recruited a lot of people
- 40:28Speaker 2: that way. While he's doing that, he does that CEO
- 40:32Speaker 2: charm Offensive met with a lot of people black Rock
- 40:37Speaker 2: Blackstone all these hedge funds. You're not supposed to know this.
- 40:40Speaker 2: But while he was wooing all the young, crazy socialist types,
- 40:48Speaker 2: he's meeting with all the CEOs privately. A lot of
- 40:52Speaker 2: them started to develop relations with him. Now, Mam Donnie
- 40:56Speaker 2: is a child of two very rich people, from a
- 41:00Speaker 2: rich family. So he's quite at ease with all the
- 41:02Speaker 2: billionaires and the CEOs, quite natural at ease with them.
- 41:06Speaker 2: And they kind of saw that and they liked that. Now,
- 41:10Speaker 2: the problem was Kathy Hochel was against him. Hochel was
- 41:13Speaker 2: going to do everything to stop him. She did not
- 41:15Speaker 2: like him. But after one of those parades, they went
- 41:19Speaker 2: back to the hotel where everybody was headquartering, and he
- 41:23Speaker 2: met privately with Hochel and he apologized to her. It
- 41:26Speaker 2: was the City Pride parade. He apologized to her from
- 41:29Speaker 2: some things he said, and really apologizing, and so he
- 41:32Speaker 2: kind of won her over. She was quite surprised, so
- 41:35Speaker 2: she said she would consider endorsing him. She said, I'd
- 41:38Speaker 2: like you to keep Jessica Tish. I want to endorse you,
- 41:41Speaker 2: but you got to agree to keep Jessica Tish. And
- 41:44Speaker 2: he said he would certainly consider that, and made it
- 41:47Speaker 2: sound like he would do that. Then, as harsh criticism,
- 41:52Speaker 2: criticism of Israel made it impossible to win over Bloomberg,
- 41:57Speaker 2: he tried Michael Bloomberg. They met at Bloomberg's Midtown headquarters
- 42:02Speaker 2: and it was a good hour. They kind of debated
- 42:06Speaker 2: management styles. Bloomberg, you know, Bloomberg was mayor twelve years,
- 42:10Speaker 2: tried to tell him some things about it. But as
- 42:13Speaker 2: much as he tried to get along with Bloomberg, Bloomberg
- 42:15Speaker 2: kind of saw through him and kind of saw that
- 42:18Speaker 2: he wasn't really listening to all this sage advice Bloomberg
- 42:21Speaker 2: was giving. So Bloomberg got behind Cuomo. Like a lot
- 42:26Speaker 2: of these billionaires, they decided Cuomo's the guy. Now, Cuomo
- 42:29Speaker 2: was a disaster in the primaries. He was the worst
- 42:33Speaker 2: debater in two debates. He was just awful, and he
- 42:36Speaker 2: was the worst campaign. Hardly did anything, very few interviews,
- 42:41Speaker 2: no rallies, very few speeches, the lazy, outdated old campaign.
- 42:46Speaker 2: But Bloomberg kept back in him. And then there came
- 42:49Speaker 2: a point where Bloomberg privately told people he was done
- 42:53Speaker 2: with Cuomo, said, I wasted eight million on this guy
- 42:56Speaker 2: in the primary. He just was awful, awful, He just said,
- 43:02Speaker 2: I just threw away eight million on this guy who
- 43:04Speaker 2: can't win. Well. Then he met with mom Donnie again
- 43:07Speaker 2: and he kind of got angry at Mom Donni. Mom
- 43:10Speaker 2: Donnie said things about Israel he didn't like. So Bloomberg
- 43:13Speaker 2: decided to go back at the end last couple of
- 43:16Speaker 2: weeks to Cuomo. Bloomberg wrote a checks for five million
- 43:20Speaker 2: dollars to two big super packs to attack mam Donni
- 43:23Speaker 2: like crazy and try to win it for Cuomo. But
- 43:27Speaker 2: this was like six days before election day started running
- 43:30Speaker 2: all those commercials. It was way too late, and Cuomo
- 43:34Speaker 2: didn't help himself at all. He was just caught himself
- 43:38Speaker 2: together the last week. But that was about it. Hey,
- 43:40Speaker 2: we'll talk to Curtis later this hour. We'll go over
- 43:42Speaker 2: all of this. Now, Curtis being in the race did
- 43:45Speaker 2: not interfere with Cuomo. If Cuomo had gotten every single
- 43:50Speaker 2: Curtis voter, he still would have lost by three points.
- 43:53Speaker 2: So it had nothing to do with Curtis. But we'll
- 43:56Speaker 2: talk to Curtis later. Now turns out that Curtis talked
- 43:59Speaker 2: to Mom Donnie after the election. We'll ask him about that.
- 44:03Speaker 2: Are we done with Cuomo once and for all? Everybody's
- 44:05Speaker 2: hoping we never have to deal with Cuomo again. Wall
- 44:09Speaker 2: Street Journals big article, half a century, fifty years of
- 44:13Speaker 2: the Cuomos in New York comes to an end. Mario
- 44:16Speaker 2: Cuomo for all those years, Andrew Cuomo by his side,
- 44:20Speaker 2: his campaign director'll be on the sidelines. Now he'll go back,
- 44:27Speaker 2: maybe back into the private sector. You know, before this
- 44:29Speaker 2: may all Race Cuomo had his own private consulting firm.
- 44:35Speaker 2: He worked as a consultant in his own consulting firm
- 44:38Speaker 2: called Innovation Strategies. Apparently he made five million in twenty
- 44:42Speaker 2: twenty four, so five million a year. He'll be very happy.
- 44:47Speaker 2: What does he do for these clients, I don't know,
- 44:48Speaker 2: high paid consulting work. You know, if you're a former governor,
- 44:53Speaker 2: former attorney general, supposedly have a lot of expertise and
- 44:56Speaker 2: connections with the state government, and you can help businesses
- 45:00Speaker 2: and people and make phone calls for him, and a
- 45:03Speaker 2: lot of these guys, these billionaires, will pay Cuomo as
- 45:05Speaker 2: a consultant just to have him around. He's like a celebrity.
- 45:08Speaker 2: You can bring to lunch, bring to dinner, have him
- 45:10Speaker 2: in your office to meet people, that kind of stuff.
- 45:14Speaker 2: So he'll go back to that most likely you probably
- 45:18Speaker 2: most people believe will never ever ever see him again
- 45:22Speaker 2: as a candidate, and let's hope. But Wall Street Journal
- 45:26Speaker 2: article about the end of all this now they point
- 45:30Speaker 2: out Melissa de Rosa, who worked for him. He thought
- 45:35Speaker 2: they had a great chance. There was polling in the
- 45:37Speaker 2: beginning that showed him having no chance. She dismissed the polling,
- 45:41Speaker 2: didn't think it was real. Then the June primary, everything
- 45:47Speaker 2: reality came crashing down on them, total loss. But over
- 45:50Speaker 2: the summer, his campaign decided to create a new Cuomo. Well,
- 45:56Speaker 2: the new Cuomo was exactly the same as the old Cooma.
- 46:00Speaker 2: But they had him making appearances of out there meeting
- 46:03Speaker 2: voters for the first time but again and he got
- 46:06Speaker 2: good at the in the last week. But it was
- 46:07Speaker 2: too little, way, way way too late. You know, Chuck Schumer,
- 46:12Speaker 2: you always give him credit, you know, for being the
- 46:14Speaker 2: biggest weasel ever. There's no bigger weasel than Chuck Schumer.
- 46:18Speaker 2: So he voted on Tuesday in the election, and the press,
- 46:21Speaker 2: of course, as to who'd you vote for, he wouldn't say,
- 46:25Speaker 2: Look I voted, That's all he said, Look I voted.
- 46:28Speaker 2: I look forward to working with the next mayor. He
- 46:30Speaker 2: wouldn't say who he voted for. Could you imagine being
- 46:32Speaker 2: more of a weasel than that. You're the leading number
- 46:35Speaker 2: one Democrat in the state, you won't say who you
- 46:37Speaker 2: voted for. There's rumors everywhere the shutdown will get settled
- 46:42Speaker 2: in the next day or two. We'll see f AA
- 46:46Speaker 2: slashing ten percent of the flights in forty cities. It's
- 46:49Speaker 2: already backed up, it's already a mess at the airport.
- 46:52Speaker 2: This will make it even worse. Thanksgiving Holiday's big getaway weekend.
- 46:56Speaker 2: They're going to have to settle it by then. Shutdown.
- 47:00Speaker 2: It's an all time record now thirty seven days. The
- 47:03Speaker 2: old record was thirty five. Even Democrat Senator John Fetterman says,
- 47:08Speaker 2: it's all I can't say the word a blanky political game.
- 47:14Speaker 2: It's the S word. It's all a game. Even he admits, Hey,
- 47:18Speaker 2: Curtis will be with us in a few minutes. Let's
- 47:19Speaker 2: see what he has to say about the election after
- 47:21Speaker 2: it's all over, and we'll take some calls next. Eight
- 47:24Speaker 2: hundred three to two one zero seven ten is the number.
- 47:28Speaker 2: Eight hundred three two one zero seven ten.
- 47:32Speaker 1: Set up, pre said on the iHeartRadio app to do
- 47:34Speaker 1: woor to hear Mark live? Set another for Mark's podcast
- 47:39Speaker 1: to hear him anytime. Now back to Mark Zimone on wor.
- 47:47Speaker 2: Hey, let's take some calls. Let's go to Tony in
- 47:50Speaker 2: New Jersey. Tony, how you doing good?
- 47:53Speaker 9: Thanks for taking my call. I just like some clarifications.
- 47:57Speaker 9: The people that were voting this last elections, they don't
- 48:02Speaker 9: have the history of what Marxism and all that is about.
- 48:08Speaker 2: We know that, we know that.
- 48:11Speaker 9: Yeah, the Republicans already got blamed for closing down the government.
- 48:17Speaker 9: Why don't we just get rid of the nuclear option,
- 48:21Speaker 9: pass all the laws we want to pass, and we'll
- 48:24Speaker 9: win everything in the next election.
- 48:26Speaker 2: All right, very good point. And I don't know what
- 48:28Speaker 2: it is, but it's a good point. Let's go to
- 48:30Speaker 2: Phil in Manhattan. Phil, how you doing? I?
- 48:33Speaker 13: Thank you and thank you for taking my call. I
- 48:36Speaker 13: just wanted to say that.
- 48:37Speaker 2: Why whispering pats sound like we're making like some kind
- 48:40Speaker 2: of whispering quietly? Yeah, go ahead.
- 48:43Speaker 13: And people said that I was wasting my vote, and
- 48:46Speaker 13: I said it's better than voting for waste. Thank you
- 48:49Speaker 13: for letting me speak.
- 48:53Speaker 2: Maybe we should get an unlisted numbers. I don't know
- 48:55Speaker 2: Let's go to Bill and Bradley Beach. Bill, how you doing?
- 48:59Speaker 2: They even have that more?
- 49:01Speaker 9: Yes?
- 49:01Speaker 2: Go ahead?
- 49:03Speaker 4: How does that complaining about inflation? That's down to that
- 49:08Speaker 4: two street keep going on.
- 49:11Speaker 2: That's how your faults. I see, it's always that line.
- 49:14Speaker 2: Line eight always cuts out. Whenever I ha' somebody cutting out,
- 49:17Speaker 2: we can't hear him. Always line eight. Let's go to
- 49:19Speaker 2: Blouvelt in Florida. Blouvelt, how you doing?
- 49:23Speaker 10: I'm doing okay, march more? How about you.
- 49:25Speaker 2: Let me check that bad You got me laugh You got.
- 49:29Speaker 10: Me, You got me laughing with the last couple of cours.
- 49:31Speaker 10: You are so funny and loggers on this this historic
- 49:38Speaker 10: moment for New York. It was mom Domy. I mean,
- 49:41Speaker 10: how many years have you been in New York City?
- 49:43Speaker 2: A lot of years. We've been through Rudy ed Touch
- 49:45Speaker 2: and uh Bloomberg.
- 49:48Speaker 10: And I started working in Manhattan nineteen eighty one, walking
- 49:53Speaker 10: from Port Authority. I remember how leasy and how disgusting
- 49:56Speaker 10: Times Square was, and how it's changed for so much better.
- 50:00Speaker 10: It's I'm I'm scared for you, guys, I really am.
- 50:03Speaker 10: I'm really concerned about what's going to happen to that city.
- 50:06Speaker 2: Well, where are you in Florida.
- 50:10Speaker 10: I'm in Fort Myers, oh house, Yeah, but the higher
- 50:17Speaker 10: house prices are already taken up.
- 50:19Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, you're pretty safe over there Fort Myers.
- 50:22Speaker 2: Although Naples has become a very crowded place. Saint Petersburg
- 50:25Speaker 2: is like the new hotspot that's taken off. But you
- 50:28Speaker 2: people listening to us right now, Palm Beach, West, Palm Beach,
- 50:32Speaker 2: Fort Lauderdale, bulkwat, you are going to have a traffic
- 50:35Speaker 2: nightmare if you you know you're laughing at all these
- 50:37Speaker 2: people are going to move down there. Traffic is already
- 50:39Speaker 2: out of control down there. It's gonna be an absolute
- 50:43Speaker 2: mess in the east coast of Florida. Let's go to
- 50:46Speaker 2: Vincent and Brooklyn. Vincent, how you doing.
- 50:49Speaker 15: Good morning Mark, Good morning Mara. Let's see how much
- 50:52Speaker 15: all these rich people like the owner of Balthazza and
- 50:55Speaker 15: Cynthia Nixon like it when, especially Bouthasa, the owner, when
- 51:00Speaker 15: you have to pay the bus boy thirty dollars an hour,
- 51:04Speaker 15: and that already overpriced plate of pasta goes from twenty
- 51:09Speaker 15: five dollars to thirty five dollars, and to you, Cynthia Nixon,
- 51:14Speaker 15: you better hire some private security. Because if you call
- 51:18Speaker 15: that a husband, that guy Christopher Maloney, if anybody goes
- 51:24Speaker 15: to VIC, you don't count on it. Don't count on
- 51:28Speaker 15: it to defend you. I know some wise guys who
- 51:32Speaker 15: own us.
- 51:33Speaker 2: I'm surprised you associated with what is guys.
- 51:36Speaker 15: This is now, this is the truth, this is real.
- 51:40Speaker 15: I live in a very very liberal neighborhood where a
- 51:43Speaker 15: lot of these kids that you spoke of that stay
- 51:47Speaker 15: in their mother's basement and can't afford to pay their
- 51:50Speaker 15: internet bill live. When I went to my polling place,
- 51:55Speaker 15: there was more of them voting than during the presidential election.
- 52:02Speaker 15: And when I came home I told my girlfriend, I said,
- 52:05Speaker 15: I knew we were in trouble, meaning Cuomo and the
- 52:10Speaker 15: people who had half for brain in their head when
- 52:13Speaker 15: I went to go to go vote. And my advice
- 52:19Speaker 15: to all the landlords who are afraid of Mandami raising
- 52:23Speaker 15: the taxes target figure out who your liberal tenants are
- 52:28Speaker 15: and sock it to them, because that's what I do.
- 52:31Speaker 15: I know in advance who the liberals are who live
- 52:35Speaker 15: in my properties, and they're the first ones I give
- 52:38Speaker 15: it in the How do you know who you are?
- 52:41Speaker 15: You see the mail they get you see the flyers
- 52:46Speaker 15: they get. I didn't get any. I didn't get any
- 52:49Speaker 15: political flyers from Zora and Mandami. I only got I
- 52:53Speaker 15: got robo calls from from Rudy for Curtis, and also
- 52:58Speaker 15: from that other Republican Janine Aquafreda. I get him from
- 53:03Speaker 15: all the because unfortunately for the city, I still have
- 53:07Speaker 15: to have a landline because I owe properties and stuff,
- 53:10Speaker 15: and you can't just have a cell phone number.
- 53:12Speaker 2: Yeah, Vincent, great stuff, great call as always, thanks for calling. Yeah,
- 53:17Speaker 2: I didn't think about that. You know, if you're starting,
- 53:20Speaker 2: if you're getting all these left wing flyers, if you're
- 53:22Speaker 2: getting Mam Donnie mail and all that stuff, it means
- 53:24Speaker 2: you've contributed to a Democrat because if you ever made
- 53:28Speaker 2: any kind of a political donation, even for five bucks,
- 53:31Speaker 2: you then end up on every mailing list from everybody
- 53:34Speaker 2: in the same party. In other words, you contribute to
- 53:36Speaker 2: this Democratic candidate. Well, next year, all the other Democratic
- 53:41Speaker 2: candidates by his mailing list, and they got your so
- 53:44Speaker 2: you can. It's a good good way to check, just
- 53:46Speaker 2: see what kind of mail they're getting. Hey, when we
- 53:48Speaker 2: come back, Curtis will be with us. Curtis Sliwa. Let's
- 53:52Speaker 2: get the aftermath or report from the election. Election night,
- 53:56Speaker 2: I heard he talked to mom Donnie, and we'll ask
- 53:59Speaker 2: him about that and more coming up next on seven
- 54:01Speaker 2: to ten wor the Mark Simone Show on sevent WR. Well,
- 54:10Speaker 2: hope we'll talk to Curtis in a moment. What happened?
- 54:12Speaker 2: We lost him. We had him, You had him and
- 54:17Speaker 2: you talked to him, right, Okay, so then it dropped.
- 54:20Speaker 2: Then we can't get him back. So this knowing Curtis,
- 54:23Speaker 2: he's traveling somewhere, He's somewhere cell signal, I don't know,
- 54:29Speaker 2: but we'll keep trying and we'll get him back. He
- 54:31Speaker 2: could be on the train somewhere. But you know, Curtis,
- 54:34Speaker 2: he could be anywhere anywhere in the city. Although it's
- 54:38Speaker 2: hard to go anywhere in New York City and not
- 54:41Speaker 2: get a cell signal. You know, out in the suburbs,
- 54:44Speaker 2: do you have all these dead spots? It's really I
- 54:47Speaker 2: don't know how people live like that, you know, well,
- 54:50Speaker 2: you know, if you're in the suburbs, there's always an area.
- 54:53Speaker 2: If you're in Long Island, for instance, if you're on
- 54:54Speaker 2: Northern Boulevard as you head into East Norwich, Laurel Holl
- 54:58Speaker 2: you know you're gonna lose the cell. There's no cell
- 55:02Speaker 2: signal for like two miles around there. Westchester. You know,
- 55:05Speaker 2: there's a couple of areas there's just no cell service.
- 55:09Speaker 2: The Hamptons. If you could be in Southampton, the nicest
- 55:13Speaker 2: of the Hampton's, beautiful Southampton, unbelievable no cell service. East Hampton,
- 55:19Speaker 2: very little cell service. You know why because nobody wants
- 55:24Speaker 2: a cell tower near their house, and nobody will let
- 55:27Speaker 2: them put it up, so it can drive you crazy.
- 55:30Speaker 5: You know.
- 55:30Speaker 2: Also, if you live in these across the street over
- 55:33Speaker 2: there where they got this over on Billionaire's Row, they
- 55:35Speaker 2: got these hundred story apartment buildings. Have you ever see
- 55:39Speaker 2: those beautiful apartments they show you in the ads. Look
- 55:41Speaker 2: at this one hundredth floor, the ninety eighth floor. You know,
- 55:45Speaker 2: one thing they never tell you there's no cell service
- 55:49Speaker 2: up there. None. You know, most cell towers in New
- 55:53Speaker 2: York City are around the twentieth floor. They figured out
- 55:56Speaker 2: that's the perfect spot to hit the ground, is the
- 56:00Speaker 2: twentieth floor, and it'll go down to the ground and
- 56:04Speaker 2: up and we'll go up to about the fiftieth floor,
- 56:06Speaker 2: and after that you're not getting any cell service. So
- 56:09Speaker 2: it is a pain in the neck to live like that.
- 56:12Speaker 2: And if you live up there on the hundredth floor,
- 56:14Speaker 2: your cable company will give you some cell signal, but
- 56:17Speaker 2: if you lose your cable, you'll lose your cell service too.
- 56:20Speaker 2: So what happened with Curtis? We find him? Oh, we
- 56:23Speaker 2: got him all right. Curtis, of course was the best
- 56:26Speaker 2: candidate in the race, the only crime fighter in the race.
- 56:30Speaker 2: And it's great to have him back with us. Curtis sliwa,
- 56:32Speaker 2: how you doing good?
- 56:35Speaker 12: Except my phone just went dead. Lucky Nancy was side
- 56:39Speaker 12: by side with me, so I'm talking talking to you
- 56:42Speaker 12: on her phone. Everything's fine, calling up all my supporters,
- 56:46Speaker 12: you know, thanking them for the nine months that we
- 56:49Speaker 12: were on the campaign trail twenty hours a day of
- 56:51Speaker 12: a twenty four hour day, and obviously getting ready. We're
- 56:56Speaker 12: the loyal opposition. We're not moving, We're in proving. And
- 57:02Speaker 12: as I said on my concession speech that night, when
- 57:06Speaker 12: I knew that it was over, I said, look, the
- 57:10Speaker 12: moment that zon Mondami mayor elect tries to impose socialist
- 57:15Speaker 12: concepts and ideas into the running of the city, when
- 57:19Speaker 12: he continues to weekend and render our police impotent, and
- 57:23Speaker 12: when public safety gets worse than it is now, he
- 57:26Speaker 12: will have me and my followers as his worst night mail.
- 57:30Speaker 12: We will fight, fight, fight, Mark. We're not going anywhere.
- 57:33Speaker 2: Yeah, I know that now, Is this true? I read
- 57:35Speaker 2: that election that you called Mom, Donnie, you spoke to him.
- 57:39Speaker 12: Sure, this is what you're supposed to do. You get
- 57:42Speaker 12: a concession speech, you call the person, you say to him, congratulations,
- 57:48Speaker 12: and we want him to do well. You always wanted
- 57:51Speaker 12: Mayor to do well.
- 57:51Speaker 13: Look.
- 57:52Speaker 12: I tried calling Eric Adams the last time twenty twenty one,
- 57:56Speaker 12: and that guy, who I knew was going to be
- 57:58Speaker 12: a complete disaster. You still do the courtesy of making
- 58:01Speaker 12: the call. I would have wished him good luck, because
- 58:04Speaker 12: if they do well, we do well. But I also
- 58:07Speaker 12: clearly warned in my concession speed speech that we will
- 58:11Speaker 12: be here, we will be fighting. We are not going
- 58:14Speaker 12: to leave. So it's a two edge short. This is
- 58:17Speaker 12: what you're supposed to do.
- 58:18Speaker 9: Yeah, but you haven't anybody else did it.
- 58:20Speaker 2: What kind of conversations you have with mom, Donnie? What
- 58:22Speaker 2: do you say to you?
- 58:24Speaker 8: Oh?
- 58:24Speaker 9: No, very brief.
- 58:25Speaker 12: He said thank you, and I said we'll be talking
- 58:28Speaker 12: in the future. But It's not going to be a
- 58:31Speaker 12: happy talk, I think, And he said, thank you again,
- 58:36Speaker 12: because you know me. I warn you an events, Mark,
- 58:38Speaker 12: I always do. The heat is going to come. And
- 58:42Speaker 12: I'm an organizer. I'm a community organizer. I go into
- 58:46Speaker 12: communities when you need to battle city Hall, when it's
- 58:49Speaker 12: David versus Goliath, I organize the people. And that's what
- 58:53Speaker 12: I will continue to do here in the city.
- 58:55Speaker 2: All right, now, let's point out a couple of things
- 58:57Speaker 2: you did not cost Cuomo the race. Cuomo, if he
- 59:00Speaker 2: got first. Of all, the myth that if you dropped out,
- 59:02Speaker 2: he'd get all your voters was insane. Obviously all your
- 59:05Speaker 2: voter's not going to go to him. But even if
- 59:08Speaker 2: they did, he still wouldn't have won. He's still would
- 59:09Speaker 2: have lost by a couple of points. Said, can you
- 59:12Speaker 2: assure us at least we will never hear from Andrew
- 59:15Speaker 2: Cromo again as a candidate.
- 59:17Speaker 12: No, no, no, because he's like Napoleon. He will shrink
- 59:21Speaker 12: back to his island of elbow, best known as the Hampton.
- 59:24Speaker 9: He will lurk.
- 59:25Speaker 12: Mark. You know this guy, he is obsessed with becoming
- 59:29Speaker 12: relevant again. He will look at every angle. He will look.
- 59:33Speaker 12: He will do his internal polls, because remember, he's sitting
- 59:35Speaker 12: on millions and millions of dollars that he got for
- 59:38Speaker 12: that book that he wrote in the middle of the
- 59:40Speaker 12: lockdown and pandemic. Five million dollars that he wrote with
- 59:43Speaker 12: his staff that he should have been forced to give back,
- 59:46Speaker 12: but sits on it and counts the interest. He will
- 59:49Speaker 12: be plotting his comeback. I'm telling you, Mark, I've known
- 59:53Speaker 12: this guy. You know, We've been like two scorpions in
- 59:56Speaker 12: a brandy glass. I hate him. I despise him because
- 1:00:00Speaker 12: his failures as governor and Eric adams failures as mayor
- 1:00:05Speaker 12: paved the way for a guy a year ago. They're
- 1:00:07Speaker 12: not even his neighbors knew Jorhanmandami.
- 1:00:10Speaker 2: But wouldn't you say, come back where what you run for? Senate?
- 1:00:13Speaker 2: What would he do?
- 1:00:15Speaker 9: Oh?
- 1:00:15Speaker 12: You know him, He'll plot, He'll he'll deal with every
- 1:00:19Speaker 12: angle he still has. You know, imagine this Mark. He
- 1:00:25Speaker 12: basically he's like a bumblebee without a stinger because he
- 1:00:29Speaker 12: always would threaten people with vengeance of Vandetta. That's how
- 1:00:33Speaker 12: the Working Families Party got so strong. I don't think
- 1:00:36Speaker 12: people understand that when Zorhan Mandami voted for himself and
- 1:00:42Speaker 12: voted down the Working Families Party line. That was on purpose.
- 1:00:46Speaker 12: That was an f you to Andrew Como, who, if
- 1:00:49Speaker 12: you remember, tried to destroy that party when how dares
- 1:00:53Speaker 12: she sent you a Nixon of Sex in the City
- 1:00:56Speaker 12: run against him as governor on the Working Families party line.
- 1:00:59Speaker 12: You know what he he succeeded in doing and trying
- 1:01:01Speaker 12: to destroy them, destroyed the New York State Reform Party
- 1:01:04Speaker 12: that I was chairman of, the Libertarian Party, the Green Party,
- 1:01:07Speaker 12: the Femnist Party, and he just made the Working Families
- 1:01:10Speaker 12: Party stronger. And they came back and they bit him
- 1:01:14Speaker 12: right in the neck because this is a guy who
- 1:01:16Speaker 12: lives for vendettas and bloodshudes, and they got him good.
- 1:01:20Speaker 12: You know, look, he's an evil person. He's the prince
- 1:01:24Speaker 12: of darkness. But he will continue to plot his comeback
- 1:01:27Speaker 12: and he will change, and he will he will act
- 1:01:31Speaker 12: like what he said yesterday, he didn't really say as
- 1:01:34Speaker 12: you saw all during these two failed campaigns of his
- 1:01:37Speaker 12: against or on Mandami.
- 1:01:38Speaker 2: Yeah. Hey, you know, nobody was a bigger booster of
- 1:01:41Speaker 2: Andrew Cuomo than Donald Trump, President Trump promoting him, Like
- 1:01:44Speaker 2: did you notice yesterday President Trump twice called him a thug.
- 1:01:48Speaker 2: So I guess that changed your relationship.
- 1:01:51Speaker 12: Well, I think you know, Mark, that many of the
- 1:01:55Speaker 12: people who were voting for me originally listened to the president.
- 1:01:59Speaker 12: And you know there was Elon Musk and Stephen Miller
- 1:02:03Speaker 12: and everybody else piling on me. The masters of the
- 1:02:07Speaker 12: universe said, determined the Courtius Lee was not going to
- 1:02:09Speaker 12: become a mayor, was not going to have a fair chance.
- 1:02:12Speaker 12: But that's politics. And Mark, you've been around this game
- 1:02:16Speaker 12: for so long. How many times have we had discussions
- 1:02:18Speaker 12: where I say, this is the dirtiest business that exists.
- 1:02:23Speaker 12: The only difference between this and organized crime, of which
- 1:02:25Speaker 12: I've had my battles is you don't have a dead
- 1:02:28Speaker 12: body at the end of the line, except if it's
- 1:02:31Speaker 12: involving the Clinton family. Other than that, they will have
- 1:02:34Speaker 12: dinner with you at night. They'll pat you on the
- 1:02:37Speaker 12: back so hard you have to go for a chiropractic adjustment.
- 1:02:40Speaker 12: Everybody is singing home by yard and they have a
- 1:02:42Speaker 12: press conference in the morning in which they stab you
- 1:02:45Speaker 12: in the back. It happens again and again and again.
- 1:02:49Speaker 12: And this is the business that I have chosen. So
- 1:02:53Speaker 12: I have no regrets.
- 1:02:54Speaker 2: Now, let me ask you I'm sure the answer is no.
- 1:02:57Speaker 2: But did you take a day off and rest at
- 1:02:59Speaker 2: least after the camp thing?
- 1:03:01Speaker 12: Absolutely not. Remember, I have a responsibility to call everybody
- 1:03:06Speaker 12: who put their lives on hold for nine months, you know,
- 1:03:10Speaker 12: went to the mats against the most powerful people in
- 1:03:13Speaker 12: the world, the most powerful forces, and continue to grind
- 1:03:17Speaker 12: it out. And I wanted them to hear from me,
- 1:03:19Speaker 12: not a text, you know, not an email, a personal
- 1:03:23Speaker 12: call in which I could personally thank them and say, hey,
- 1:03:26Speaker 12: this is one battle of many battles to come. We're
- 1:03:29Speaker 12: not going away. Remember Richard Nixon said you won't have
- 1:03:32Speaker 12: me to kick around anymore when he lost. Actually the
- 1:03:35Speaker 12: election was stolen from him by JFK. I'm the person
- 1:03:40Speaker 12: who has told everybody you will have me to kick
- 1:03:43Speaker 12: around because I ain't going nowhere.
- 1:03:44Speaker 2: Well that's good. Here now we only like a minute left.
- 1:03:47Speaker 2: What are you planning to do next? Radio? What are
- 1:03:49Speaker 2: you going to do?
- 1:03:50Speaker 12: No? No, no, no, no, you know I'm never going
- 1:03:53Speaker 12: back to that old boh yeah you'll no, no, never
- 1:03:57Speaker 12: going back to w ABC. I'm sorry you guys. W
- 1:04:00Speaker 12: R have been fair and square to me, but I
- 1:04:03Speaker 12: have to continue to organize. We know what Zoran Mondami
- 1:04:07Speaker 12: intends to do. And if we don't organize in advance,
- 1:04:11Speaker 12: stame on us. We've seen Zora Mondami. He made it
- 1:04:15Speaker 12: very specifically he's going to war in his acceptance speech.
- 1:04:19Speaker 12: I mean that was a difference on Mondami March tomorrow. Yeah,
- 1:04:23Speaker 12: that was in the affable, smiling kumbay. We love everybody,
- 1:04:27Speaker 12: this whole pool. No. No, he basically threw the lightning
- 1:04:31Speaker 12: bolts down and said war, war, war, And there's nobody
- 1:04:34Speaker 12: who loves going to war politically better and more often
- 1:04:38Speaker 12: than your truly Curtis Lee, and I will lead the
- 1:04:40Speaker 12: loyal opposition.
- 1:04:41Speaker 9: All right.
- 1:04:42Speaker 2: Well, that's good to hear, Curtis Lee. Well we'll talk
- 1:04:44Speaker 2: again soon. Keep it up. And if anybody wants to
- 1:04:46Speaker 2: help you, what do they do? Go to your website?
- 1:04:49Speaker 2: Is it still up?
- 1:04:50Speaker 15: Still?
- 1:04:50Speaker 12: It's still active until the end of the year. SLIWA
- 1:04:53Speaker 12: for NYC dot com because I'm fighting for NYC. SLIWA
- 1:04:57Speaker 12: for NYC dot com. And thanks for all a tactical
- 1:05:00Speaker 12: air support over both these campaigns.
- 1:05:03Speaker 8: Mark.
- 1:05:03Speaker 2: All right, Curtis, we'll talk to you again soon. Good luck,
- 1:05:06Speaker 2: take care, talk to you soon. Take care my pleasure. Hey,
- 1:05:10Speaker 2: don't forget Jimmy Fayla. Tonight he's doing the Patriot Awards,
- 1:05:15Speaker 2: but he'll be here on the radio nine to midnight tonight.
- 1:05:18Speaker 2: Great show every night at nine on seven to ten wor.
- 1:05:22Speaker 12: Where New York comes for common Sense?
- 1:05:24Speaker 5: Mark Simone on seven ten WR.
- 1:05:28Speaker 2: Well, we're out of time, but I'll be back tomorrow.
- 1:05:32Speaker 2: Don't go away. Buck and Clay are coming up next.
- 1:05:34Speaker 2: They do a great show. And then Sean Hannity be
- 1:05:38Speaker 2: live from Long Island the Patriot Awards that you can
- 1:05:41Speaker 2: hear tonight, and I'll see tomorrow at ten on seven
- 1:05:44Speaker 2: ten WR
