Latest / The Vault: The Epstein Files / Seth Lloyd And His Relationship With Jeffrey Epstein

- 0:00Speaker 1: Delve back into a place we haven't talked about too
- 0:02much lately, and that's the world of academia. We all
- 0:08know that all of these so called high level institutions
- 0:15like Harvard, like Columbia, like Yale, like MIT have all
- 0:22been palaining around with Jeffrey Epstein or people like Jeffrey Epstein.
- 0:27We all know that these professors are taking money from
- 0:31wherever they can get it without any sort of vetting
- 0:34process even occurring. And then even when these people get nailed,
- 0:39even when it comes out that these people took money
- 0:42from somebody like Jeffrey Epstein, these institutions, like the one
- 0:46we're going to talk about tonight, always try and pin
- 0:49it directly on the professor. Now, I agree, the professor
- 0:54is the one that should be, you know, held responsible.
- 0:58He's the one that set it up. He's the one
- 0:59that got the money, or she's the one who got
- 1:01the money. But the actual school itself, the institution, should
- 1:07share that blame and they shouldn't be able to pass
- 1:12the buck and just blame the professor and scapegoat the professor.
- 1:17Where were all of your safeguards? Where were all of
- 1:20the protocols from the institution's end to make sure that
- 1:24this shit doesn't happen. There was none. They might have
- 1:28a couple of things in paper, right, Oh yeah, Oh,
- 1:30we'll put this down on paper and we'll make per ten.
- 1:32We're going to make sure that nobody gives us any
- 1:36dirty money. Yeah right, Okay. If you can't figure out
- 1:40that Jeffrey Epstein was an absolute bottom dwelling amoeba, then
- 1:48there is no hope for you to possibly vet anybody correctly,
- 1:54and MIT should be ashamed of themselves. MIT, like everybody else,
- 2:00has themselves a little bit of an investigation into Seth Lloyd,
- 2:05and the findings of that investigation and the results of
- 2:10what the repercussions to Seth Lloyd are going to be
- 2:15are now in folks, and spoiler alert, it's a joke,
- 2:22Just like every one of these other self initiated self investigations.
- 2:27It turns up buppkus, It turns out to be a joke,
- 2:31a mockery. What's the point If they're never going to
- 2:36find anybody within the command structure had anything to do
- 2:41with this or had any sort of liability for letting
- 2:44it happen, then what is the point? Oh? I get it.
- 2:49You know you'll throw us a little bit of red meat,
- 2:51like the two guards who are supposed to be watching
- 2:53Epstein right, and think that's going to satiate people, But
- 2:57it's not going to. In the old days, that might
- 2:59have worked, but not anymore, not when everybody knows that
- 3:05the media is deceitful, Not when everybody knows that the
- 3:07legacy media does not have the common working man or
- 3:12woman's best interest at heart. It's all about selling units,
- 3:17It's all about getting clicks. If it bleeds, it leads,
- 3:24never mind actually educating the masses, never mind actually getting
- 3:31people hip to this shit that is really going on.
- 3:34They're too busy for that. They're too busy cash in
- 3:36their paychecks. They're too busy quashing Virginia Roberts interviews over
- 3:44at places like ABC. Our article today is from the
- 3:50Boston Globe, and as you can imagine, it is about
- 3:53MIT and the professor Seth Lloyd, who took a bunch
- 3:58of money from Jeffrey Epstein, who was definitely being bankrolled
- 4:03by Jeffrey Epstein. And this is a wrap up of
- 4:10their findings. Headline MIT disciplines professor over Jeffrey Epstein donations
- 4:19What will allow him to continue teaching. There is no
- 4:22repercussions for these people and academia especially right. I know
- 4:27I haven't been going too hard on academia lately because
- 4:30we've been caught up in other matters. But don't think
- 4:33I've forgotten these people, because I have not. It is
- 4:38a travesty what has gone on in the supposed hollowed
- 4:44halls of these so called top level institutions. How has
- 4:51this been able to propagate itself amongst these institutions. Aren't
- 4:57they supposed to be the smartest people in the world.
- 5:00Aren't these supposed to be the folks that are going
- 5:03to educate the next generation of world leaders. Well maybe
- 5:08that's the problem. Maybe that is our problem. That the
- 5:13next generation gets sent to these dens of scum and
- 5:17villainy like MIT or Harvard, and when they get there,
- 5:24you think you're giving your children over to good people,
- 5:27right educated people, real smart people, people who are gonna
- 5:31make my child a better person, help educate them and
- 5:35help them achieve their goals. But instead you're sending them
- 5:39to people like Seth Lloyd, who had a relationship with
- 5:41Jeffrey Epstein and was getting a whole bunch of money
- 5:45from him. On the other side, absolutely fantastic. Huh. Just
- 5:51exactly the sort of person you want to safeguard your
- 5:54child with. And I don't care if it's a college
- 5:57age child, still your child. These are the people that
- 6:01you want to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on
- 6:03an education to have these people educate your child. You
- 6:09can count me out of that bullshit, I'll tell you
- 6:10that much. This article was authored by Deirdre Fernandez from
- 6:17the Boston Globe staff, calling a mechanical engineering professor's decision
- 6:23to accept donations from convicted sex offender pedophile Jeffrey Epstein
- 6:28poor judgment. MIT on Friday announced that it will limit
- 6:33his pay and his involvement in undergraduate undergraduate advising for
- 6:38five years. Poor judgment. Huh. So everyone's just gonna take
- 6:42their cue from the just US Department. That's why that
- 6:47just US Department report was so ridiculous, because now you
- 6:53see it right here with MIT. Oh, it was poor jugment.
- 6:57It was just poor judgment. Professor Lloyd's gonna stick around.
- 7:02We'll give him a little slap on the wrist. He
- 7:03can't be involved in undergraduate studies and we're gonna limit
- 7:07his pay so instead of one hundred and ninety grand
- 7:10a year, we'll give him one hundred and seventy five
- 7:12grand a year. It's such a slap in the face,
- 7:16a joke, and could it be any more limp wristed seth.
- 7:23Lloyd has been on paid leave since January after a
- 7:26series of revelations about Epstein's financial ties to MIT and
- 7:31the longtime professor rocked the campus and led to protests
- 7:35and resignations. So, protests, resignations, all of that stuff, right,
- 7:43but Lloyd doesn't lose his job. And to be honest
- 7:46with you, I'm not even mad that he was on
- 7:48paid leave, to be honest with you while they're investigating
- 7:51what one on that's cool. No, he isn't guilty of
- 7:53anything yet. But now when the investigation comes back, the
- 7:57hammer should be dropped. I don't want to hear about
- 7:59these sanctions. We're gonna we're gonna dock his pay and
- 8:03he can't be involved in undergraduate shit. Cool, So he
- 8:06has more time to go home and do whatever he wants. Now,
- 8:10like that's a real penalty. It's it's it's a joke.
- 8:14This is toothless and MIT should be ashamed of themselves.
- 8:18For people that are supposed to be pretty damn smart,
- 8:21they're pretty damn stupid a lot of the times, aren't they.
- 8:26Lloyd will have to take professional conduct training classes before
- 8:30resuming campus activities, including teaching. MIT provst Martine Schmidt, sending
- 8:36an email to the community on Friday, Well, there you
- 8:39have it, folks. A couple of conduct training classes is
- 8:42gonna solve it. That's gonna just make it all better.
- 8:46So you need to tell me that a professor at
- 8:49MIT who is taking money from Jeffrey Epstein didn't know
- 8:53any better, and you're gonna send them to some re
- 8:57education courses and that's going to ignite his memory about
- 9:01having to how to be a good human being and
- 9:04not accept money from pedophiles and human traffickers. Is that
- 9:08what you're telling us is that the sanction that you're
- 9:12slapping upon this man seth Lloyd. Boy, You guys really
- 9:17went overboard with this punishment. I'll tell you what. This is,
- 9:21a punishment unseen or unheard of, an absolute joke. But
- 9:28the discipline is unlikely to satisfy some at MIT who
- 9:32had called for Lloyd's resignation, and is likely to reopen
- 9:36one of the more embarrassing chapters in the university's recent
- 9:40history as it should handle your business correctly and you
- 9:43don't have to worry about this stuff. Drop the hammer
- 9:47on scumbags and you don't have to worry about this stuff.
- 9:51But in lieu of that, people are going to be
- 9:55apoplectic over this. This is a another slap on the wrist.
- 10:01How many people involved with Jeffrey Epstein are just gonna
- 10:04get a slap on the wrist. I guess all of them, right,
- 10:06I mean average people. Forget it. If this was you
- 10:10at your job and you took a donation, you took
- 10:14money or whatever, you'd be fired. You wouldn't there wouldn't
- 10:17be a paid leave since January and all this other
- 10:20shit that they have going on for these people. You
- 10:23want to talk about privileged and you want to talk
- 10:25about people of privilege. That's who we're talking about right here, folks.
- 10:29All of these disgusting I'm better than you sons of bitches.
- 10:37These steps cannot undo the harm done. Professor Lloyd's failure
- 10:41to share what he knew about Epstein's conviction when he
- 10:45accepted his twenty twelve donation was unacceptable. So again, he
- 10:49knew all right, don't act like a couple of classes
- 10:52are gonna teach him to have a moral compass. He
- 10:56didn't care. His projects were so important. Not even taking
- 11:01money from Jeffrey Epstein is okay. The means justifies an end.
- 11:07All of these people, be it these wacky, weird scientist
- 11:11types or the scumbag business magnates, it's all about them.
- 11:17They're all so narcissistic, it's so disgusting. I recognize that
- 11:25many in our community remain deeply disturbed by the interactions
- 11:29with Jeffrey Epstein, and that some will be disappointed by
- 11:33this decision. Some how about majority, my friend, you better
- 11:37have your big boy pants on, because I am sure
- 11:41that people are going to voice how upset they are
- 11:46over this and voice their displeasure over this. So get ready.
- 11:52I'm sure that it's going to be your own students
- 11:55going crazy, going ham. I know if my kid was
- 11:58at this school, I'd be on the own tomorrow over
- 12:01this decision. To speak to mister Schmidt and ask them
- 12:06what in the ever living f sort of brain damage
- 12:10they suffer from to think that this is a conclusion
- 12:15that's that's okay. That is going to resonate as this
- 12:19man actually facing repercussions because it does not and it
- 12:23will not. And if this is the way MIT is
- 12:27going to conduct themselves, then MIT better get themselves some iodined,
- 12:32because this shit and this fallout is really radioactive, just
- 12:38as Harvard. According to a report commission by MIT earlier
- 12:44this year, Lloyd received two hundred and eighty five thousand
- 12:48dollars from Epstein, including a personal gift of sixty thousand
- 12:52dollars nearly fifteen years ago that was not reported to
- 12:56MIT at the time. So this dude got two hundred
- 12:59and eight eighty five thousand boxes a ZD for his projects. Then,
- 13:08wetting his beak again, he goes back to the trough
- 13:12for a little more and gets a bag with sixty
- 13:15thousand dollars in it for what. Look, we all know
- 13:19Epstein wasn't just handing out money. We know that Epstein
- 13:22wasn't just given out money just because he's a nice guy. Okay,
- 13:27there was always quid pro quo, There was always what
- 13:31are you gonna do for me? Later? When Epstein was
- 13:34doling out the dough and that's established. So what in
- 13:40the hell was he giving Lloyd this money for what
- 13:43sort of projects? Did Jeffrey Epstein get access to that
- 13:47Lloyd was working on and did Jeffrey Epstein pass any
- 13:52of those secrets from these scientists on to any of
- 13:54these intelligence agencies. I think that's a legitimate question that
- 13:58should be asked. Unfortunately, nobody seems to have any answers
- 14:03for us. In a statement, Lloyd said he, like many colleagues,
- 14:10thought that Epstein had reformed after serving jail time for
- 14:13an earlier conviction. What he accepted a twenty twelve donation.
- 14:18That's such bs that you really think, mister Lloyd, that
- 14:22that's a tenable position. You're gonna defend yourself from that position.
- 14:28You realize your enemies have the high ground, right and
- 14:30you also realize that they're conducting a flanking maneuver with
- 14:35their cavalry right now. But this is what you're gonna
- 14:37this is the strategy you're going to employ, right. I
- 14:41hope you're ready to get routed because this is absolute garbage. Okay,
- 14:47Oh here I affirmed himself soliciting a minor for prostitution.
- 14:51You don't reform yourself from that. Your Epstein was a predator. Okay.
- 14:58All you had to do was a quick Google search
- 15:00and you see that there was hundreds of girls. So
- 15:02if you knew that he was reformed from his prison sentence,
- 15:05how are you going to tell me that you didn't
- 15:07know about all the other allegations and the fact that
- 15:10he got off easy with a slap on the wrist.
- 15:13No one's buying it, mister Lloyd. Nobody is buying it.
- 15:20With twenty twenty hindsight, I should have sought further consultation
- 15:24at the time over Epstein's appropriateness as a donor and
- 15:28communicated his past conviction. Lloyd said, I will always regret
- 15:32the pain that the involvement with Epstein has caused his
- 15:35survivors and members of the MIT community. So further as
- 15:45he should have communicated his past convictions to who anybody
- 15:49that is in charge of signing off on these donations
- 15:53shouldn't need anybody to tell them about the past behavior
- 15:57of a donor. You have the internet, you have a smartphone,
- 16:01get your fingers moving, do a little bit of legwork,
- 16:05or is it you don't want to know so that
- 16:07you have plausible deniability. When shit goes south and we
- 16:11find ourselves here reading this ridiculous report, the synic in
- 16:19me says well, you know what the cynic says. The
- 16:25university brought together two faculty committees, and a majority of
- 16:28members on the review panel found that Lloyd violated MIT's
- 16:33policy on faculty misconduct by failing to inform the university
- 16:38that Epstein was a convicted sex offender, but that ultimately
- 16:42he didn't violate any policies by accepting the donation and
- 16:46didn't try to circumvent the university's donor policies. I can't
- 16:50even believe what I'm reading right here. So what they're
- 16:53telling us is they have no policies for this, and furthermore,
- 16:57the university should be ashamed of itself. They don't have
- 17:00a department to vet these people. I don't believe that.
- 17:03I really don't believe that. So just some random secretary
- 17:06in an office gets an email say there's going to
- 17:08be a twenty million dollar donation and just okays it.
- 17:12There's no chain of custody for an email like that,
- 17:15or there's nobody that gets involved for anything like that.
- 17:19So to tell me that the university had no idea
- 17:23that Jeffy Epstein was a sixth son of a bitch
- 17:27is a bit hard of a cell. MIT at the
- 17:34time did not have any policy to deal with controversial donors.
- 17:38Of course they didn't, because this wasn't a one off.
- 17:41I know, it's sad to say, and it's disgusting and
- 17:44it's depressing to think about, but this sort of money
- 17:48is so deeply dug into the very heart of these
- 17:54universities that it's not even funny. How many of these
- 17:57donors that are donating to these universities. These folks are
- 18:01absolute scumbags, money launderers, traffickers, human traffickers, drug dealers, you
- 18:06name it. And yet these universities are just taking this money,
- 18:14hand over fist, hands over their eyes. Oh well, we
- 18:17didn't know it was the professor, talk to the professor.
- 18:21We didn't vet well, what we're supposed to vet Epstein too?
- 18:24Are you kidding me? And on and on it goes,
- 18:28and they just keep passing the blame around and it
- 18:30never lands on anyone's back squarely, and they just hope
- 18:34that this story will eventually go away. But unfortunately for them,
- 18:38this is not one of those stories. And we're not
- 18:41going anywhere until a real trial has had and a
- 18:45real shot at justice has been given to these survivors,
- 18:51and till these institutions are held responsible. Epstein's ties to
- 19:04MIT became public last summer after the disgraced financier Pedophile
- 19:09committed suicide allegedly in a Manhattan jail cell where he
- 19:13was being held on charges involving sex trafficking for minors.
- 19:17Former MIT Media Lab director joy Eto acknowledged that he
- 19:22had accepted donations from Epstein and resigned in September twenty
- 19:26nineteen after an explosive New Yorker story said that he
- 19:31and others tried to keep Epstein's funding quiet. Oh yeah,
- 19:35I'm sure Seth Lloyd had nothing to do with that.
- 19:37Seth Lloyd was just rolling on his own, you know,
- 19:40kicking his can down the road, wearing his duster jacket,
- 19:44living in a world of one. Joy Eto gets the boot,
- 19:48but not Seth Lloyd. They both needed to go. MIT
- 19:55brought in law firm Goodwin Proctor to review its relationship
- 19:58with Epstein. The firm found that Epstein had visited MIT
- 20:02at least nine times in recent years and gave the
- 20:05university eight hundred and fifty thousand dollars. So if Lloyd
- 20:08was responsible for his donations, the university is not eight
- 20:12hundred and fifty thousand dollars and these dudes are trying
- 20:15to point the finger at just Lloyd. Well, I want
- 20:18Lloyd to face repercussions, no doubt about it. As you
- 20:21all know, I don't want middlemen. I am big game hunting.
- 20:26I want these people who were in charge of the
- 20:29decision making to be fired, point blank period. Anything less
- 20:33is a travesty of justice. And frankly, they should be lucky.
- 20:39It's just fired that they're getting. Top administrators at the
- 20:46university were also aware that Epstein was giving the school money.
- 20:49The Goodwin Proctor report found, although it cleared MIT president
- 20:54el Raphael Rife of any involvement in approving the gifts,
- 20:58of course, that's that's how they have it all set up.
- 21:01It's like a mafia. It's like the Jeffrey Epstein ring.
- 21:05Layers of protection, layers of insulation. What do you think
- 21:13there's any different here. You think MIT was turning down
- 21:15that eight hundred and fifty thousand racks. Hell no, they
- 21:18wanted that money. They didn't care who was giving it
- 21:21to them or where it was coming from. And the
- 21:25fact that the investigation cleared Raphael Rife of any wrongdoing,
- 21:34just right there that alone should tell you everything you
- 21:37need to know about this bs ridiculous report. Some female
- 21:43employees and students at the university's vaunted Media Lab said
- 21:47they had complained about Epstein's involvement but were dismissed. Two
- 21:51MIT media lab researchers resigned in protest over money that
- 21:55Eto took from Epstein for the university for his own
- 21:59investments in tech startups. So these lib researchers knew who
- 22:05Epstein was, but Reef didn't, Lloyd didn't, none of the
- 22:09other trustees knew. None of them knew. Huh, that's what
- 22:12they want us to believe. I don't believe it, folks,
- 22:15and I know none of you out there do either.
- 22:19Students protested on campus, female faculty criticized the school's priorities,
- 22:25and disgruntled faculty called on Reef to step down. Epstein's
- 22:30donations put a spotlight on how universities driven for research
- 22:34funding cultivate wealthy donors and often overlook their controversial histories.
- 22:40Now we have been going hard on this on the podcast.
- 22:44We haven't for a while, but as you all know,
- 22:47I had doctor Steven Delay come onto the show and
- 22:50talk about this very thing and it's prevalent within academia.
- 22:56These people are taking money from all sorts of bad
- 22:59act bad apples, and bad characters. And furthermore, how can
- 23:04Harvard have a money crunch? How can Mit have a
- 23:07money crunch? It cost a bazillion dollars to go there.
- 23:16Epstein liked to surround himself with academics and scientists, and
- 23:19courted many of the nation's top universities, including MIT and Harvard.
- 23:25Earlier this year, a report from Harvard found that Epstein
- 23:29had a personal office among university researchers, a dedicated phone line,
- 23:34and an unusual visiting fellowship position. High level faculty at
- 23:38Harvard urged administrators to take the financiers' money despite his
- 23:43record as a registered sex offender pedophile. Of course they did.
- 23:49And that's what I'm trying to stress here to you folks, right.
- 23:51I don't want to sound like a broken record, and
- 23:54I don't want to us to have to go over
- 23:56you know, plowed terrain again and again and again. But
- 24:01anytime something like that like this pops up, we have
- 24:04to add it to the catalog. We have to talk
- 24:07about it because it goes towards the overall bigger picture,
- 24:12and that bigger picture is it's not just business, it's
- 24:16not just finance, it's not just politicians. Academia and these
- 24:22so called top line universities are neck deep when it
- 24:29comes to accepting funds and being in bed with scumbags
- 24:33like Jeffrey Epstein. Like to contact me, you can do
