- 0:08Speaker 1: boy gotta offered three different jobs in two days. Come on. Yeah,
- 0:15Speaker 1: so I got offered up. Yeah, it wound up falling apart.
- 0:21Speaker 1: Why then I got offered a We're trying to get
- 0:28Speaker 1: them out, okay, and then oh shit, yeah, how did
- 0:38Speaker 1: that happened? Did happened? She's working, She's working what I'm
- 0:46Speaker 1: talking about? So, Dottle, that's amazing. Congratulations, thank you. I
- 0:52Speaker 1: think I'm doing that's so dope. Well, we whiteboarded it
- 0:59Speaker 1: and it happened. Yes, Donald Ward, and I also have
- 1:04Speaker 1: a lead on something I sent you. I'm fucking hustling
- 1:07Speaker 1: for you too, babe. I appreciate it. Man, Like Yo,
- 1:10Speaker 1: things are good, Man, things are really good. I like
- 1:12Speaker 1: to think that it's because we started this awesome podcast,
- 1:15Speaker 1: but you know, I don't think it's because of this
- 1:17Speaker 1: podcast and the positive energy and the serotonin in our
- 1:20Speaker 1: brains and the whiteboard on your wall and the love
- 1:22Speaker 1: from our friends and community. I agree with you, but
- 1:26Speaker 1: look the point of it is the whiteboard works like you. Yes,
- 1:30Speaker 1: you know, your specificity is very important when whiteboarding, you know,
- 1:36Speaker 1: just to say I want to be in a superhero
- 1:39Speaker 1: movie isn't gonna cut it. You have to be very specific, um,
- 1:44Speaker 1: and you gotta look at it every day, and you
- 1:46Speaker 1: look at every day and then you gotta go, is
- 1:47Speaker 1: there any action I could be taking that would promote
- 1:50Speaker 1: that goal? And that's a brainstorm on what you could
- 1:54Speaker 1: be doing. I don't want to fucking I'm nervous to
- 1:57Speaker 1: call Jim and Terry. Jim and Terry your friends with
- 2:01Speaker 1: the director. No, you call Jim and Terry. You gotta
- 2:05Speaker 1: call Jim and Terry. You better call Jim and Terry
- 2:08Speaker 1: if you know what's good for you, you know. And
- 2:09Speaker 1: the crazy shit wasn't Like I almost sabotaged it too.
- 2:12Speaker 1: Like that's the other thing that we do as human beings.
- 2:15Speaker 1: When something good is right around the corner, we have
- 2:18Speaker 1: a tendency to buck it up and make it so
- 2:21Speaker 1: that it doesn't happen for us anymore. And you know,
- 2:25Speaker 1: we get in our own way. And I almost did
- 2:28Speaker 1: that today, you know, I almost, Like, So I went
- 2:31Speaker 1: and played tennis before my meeting today. I was like,
- 2:34Speaker 1: I'm gonna play some tennis. I'm gonna forget about this
- 2:36Speaker 1: meeting that I have today. I'm gonna get you know,
- 2:38Speaker 1: going work it out. And after tennis, I was like,
- 2:42Speaker 1: I should probably go get the weed now, oh god,
- 2:46Speaker 1: And my wife was like really, and I was in
- 2:48Speaker 1: line with our goals. It's like, I got half an hour.
- 2:51Speaker 1: I can make it work for you because I've been there.
- 2:58Speaker 1: I was like, I can make it work. We're almost
- 3:03Speaker 1: We're at the exit of our house and the weed
- 3:06Speaker 1: spot is two exits passed. I was like, fuck the weed, baby,
- 3:10Speaker 1: fuck the weed. My wife does a freaking dom from
- 3:14Speaker 1: Fast and the Furious across all of the freaking lanes.
- 3:17Speaker 1: We were in the fast lane. She goes, she goes,
- 3:21Speaker 1: she goes, thank you, babe. I was waiting for you
- 3:23Speaker 1: to come to your sentence. Hold on and we may
- 3:29Speaker 1: and we make it to the house with time to spare,
- 3:32Speaker 1: and now I'm now I'm sitting there like all right, now,
- 3:35Speaker 1: I got to ask questions, and the questions I asked
- 3:37Speaker 1: were crap because I already knew I wanted the job.
- 3:41Speaker 1: You're trying to act cool, try But by the end
- 3:44Speaker 1: of it, I had already been like, so we're doing
- 3:46Speaker 1: this right, this is real. We haven't changed our mind
- 3:48Speaker 1: about me being in this. Oh. And they were like,
- 3:51Speaker 1: when people ask you like in the press when you're
- 3:53Speaker 1: doing like press from me, like, so, why did you
- 3:54Speaker 1: want to do this? Like your honest answers, because I
- 3:57Speaker 1: wanted a fucking job, right, What made you choose to
- 4:03Speaker 1: be a part of this, this film? I couldn't believe
- 4:07Speaker 1: that asked me. That is the honest, and it's that,
- 4:16Speaker 1: and it's that way every freaking time. But they all
- 4:19Speaker 1: and they actual they treat you like you're like Ryan
- 4:22Speaker 1: Gosling and you're turning down twenty things a day. They're like,
- 4:24Speaker 1: what made you choose this? Of all things? Right? Because
- 4:30Speaker 1: because I haven't worked in an electric film, I don't
- 4:38Speaker 1: know if you notice about me, but I got nine kids,
- 4:42Speaker 1: have thirty five children, all below the age of ten. Um.
- 4:48Speaker 1: I love Casey, by the way, and I love that story, Casey.
- 4:50Speaker 1: How do you feel about me, Zach? I love you? Oh,
- 4:53Speaker 1: thank you? Oh no, the bad words. Daniel came over
- 5:05Speaker 1: and fixed it. How do you feel so far about it?
- 5:09Speaker 1: You're rubbing your eyes? Is that a happy rubbing your eyes?
- 5:11Speaker 1: I'm so excited. I'm so excited for this. Oh now
- 5:17Speaker 1: I have to watch what I say. No, you don't,
- 5:19Speaker 1: I'm gonna be I don't want to hear. I don't
- 5:21Speaker 1: want to hear bong bubbles. I'm gonna be on my
- 5:23Speaker 1: best behavior with it. I'm only going to use her
- 5:26Speaker 1: certain times. But Daniel came over and rigged her all
- 5:29Speaker 1: up for me. It sounds great. Hey, listen, I really
- 5:33Speaker 1: had my feelings hurt when you all three of you
- 5:35Speaker 1: left me on Red. Last night. I was watching this show.
- 5:38Speaker 1: Where were you watching? I'm watching this show that I'm
- 5:41Speaker 1: gonna recommend to you guys and all of our listeners.
- 5:43Speaker 1: It's called missic Quest, and it's so up your three alleys.
- 5:48Speaker 1: It's behind it's behind the scenes of a video game
- 5:52Speaker 1: company that's that makes a game like um, World of Warcraft.
- 5:57Speaker 1: What do you call them, Dane, mm m m O RPGs? Yeah, those.
- 6:00Speaker 1: So it's behind the scenes of a company that's the
- 6:02Speaker 1: most popular one. And it's it's very Scrubs esque humor
- 6:07Speaker 1: or you know workplace, you know style comedy. Um. But
- 6:11Speaker 1: the actors are all hilarious, the scripts very funny, and
- 6:15Speaker 1: it's about video games and I think you guys would
- 6:16Speaker 1: love it. Yeah, I gotta check it out. I'm into it.
- 6:18Speaker 1: Drop the title one more time. It's called missic Quest feature.
- 6:23Speaker 1: Where's that Apple are good friends at Apple Apple TV.
- 6:31Speaker 1: And I really really like it. And I'm sitting there
- 6:33Speaker 1: laughing right and I'm I'm going, oh my god, daneld,
- 6:36Speaker 1: Joel and Donald will love this. I text them in
- 6:39Speaker 1: the group chat everybody everybody listening. No response now Donald Donald.
- 6:45Speaker 1: I know Donald goes to sleep at eight, which is
- 6:48Speaker 1: just fucking unbelievable but true. Daniel and Joel, I know,
- 6:52Speaker 1: are up fucking playing video games till one in the morning,
- 6:54Speaker 1: so I don't know what the hell is going on. Yes, yes,
- 6:59Speaker 1: And the kid who plays Um played my son in
- 7:02Speaker 1: alex Ink, isn't it And he's really really funny. And
- 7:06Speaker 1: there's this girl I gotta I looked her up so
- 7:08Speaker 1: I can give her a shout on our on our
- 7:09Speaker 1: hit podcast here. She is so fucking funny. Every line
- 7:13Speaker 1: she says, I laugh. Her name is Jesse Ennis Okay,
- 7:16Speaker 1: and she plays an assistant at the company. And she's
- 7:20Speaker 1: one of those characters like on Scrubs where it's like
- 7:21Speaker 1: everything Sam said or everything Rob said. She's that in
- 7:25Speaker 1: this and everything she says I laugh out loud at it. So, Jesse,
- 7:30Speaker 1: You're funny. If any of Jesse's friends listening to the show.
- 7:33Speaker 1: Tell her and uh, and you got I'm telling you
- 7:35Speaker 1: love it. If you're if you're listening and you like
- 7:37Speaker 1: Scrubs esque humor, which I'm sensing you probably do. Um,
- 7:41Speaker 1: you like Hey Dodge, you count send her? Should get
- 7:44Speaker 1: this mofle going stories. Show me about any very funny episode.
- 8:11Speaker 1: Laughed bunch. I did too. There was a lot of
- 8:13Speaker 1: laughed out loud moments. There were a lot of like,
- 8:16Speaker 1: my notes are are long? Copious? They're copious. Yeah, I
- 8:20Speaker 1: have a lot of I have a lot of notes today.
- 8:23Speaker 1: I did not do a recap, however, because of the rush.
- 8:25Speaker 1: It's all your rushed from tennis to the weed store
- 8:28Speaker 1: to home. Um. I wanted to talk about Joelle. We
- 8:31Speaker 1: gotta give Joell a plug because Joelle is hosting tomorrow
- 8:35Speaker 1: the red Carpet for the Snyder cut of Justice League. Yes,
- 8:40Speaker 1: Joelle and Kevin Smith are hosting the red Carpet. Joel,
- 8:44Speaker 1: tell everybody it's gonna be so guys. Okay, guys, you
- 8:47Speaker 1: already know. I just love fandom. So when I got
- 8:49Speaker 1: the call, it's so funny because the person who's producing
- 8:52Speaker 1: the red Carpet segment is a fan of this show.
- 8:55Speaker 1: So thank you guys. Talk. Oh, so we're getting you
- 8:57Speaker 1: work glad. And then we're like listen, you know, we
- 9:03Speaker 1: hear you interact with the fans, and we want to have,
- 9:05Speaker 1: you know, on red carpets there's these like fan pins
- 9:08Speaker 1: where super fans of whatever movie is screening get to
- 9:11Speaker 1: like hang out and get signatures or whatever. They're like,
- 9:14Speaker 1: we're gonna try to recreate that virtually. So Kevin will
- 9:16Speaker 1: be interviewing like all stars and of course Zack and everything. Um,
- 9:21Speaker 1: and I'm gonna be with the fans. So I'm really
- 9:22Speaker 1: excited to talk to them about what. Well, it's the
- 9:26Speaker 1: perfect job for you, it really is. I was literally
- 9:29Speaker 1: tailor made for this gig. So how do we how
- 9:32Speaker 1: do how do people watch it? And what time? Tell
- 9:34Speaker 1: everybody all the deeds. Okay, so I believe it starts
- 9:39Speaker 1: at seven. Um, you can watch the movie right afterwards.
- 9:43Speaker 1: So that's gonna be really exciting. It's gonna premiere across
- 9:45Speaker 1: all social media platforms at Snyder Cut. So you go
- 9:49Speaker 1: to Twitter, if you go to Instagram, wherever you want
- 9:51Speaker 1: to go, it's at Snyder Cut. It's just streaming right there.
- 9:55Speaker 1: I have a question. I thought it was streaming on
- 9:57Speaker 1: HBO Max. What's going She's talking about her preshow thing show. Yes,
- 10:02Speaker 1: the Red Carpet will be on the social media's when
- 10:06Speaker 1: does it? When does the Snyder co Cut come out?
- 10:08Speaker 1: Did it come that night? Wednesday night? They're pretty sure. Yeah, yeah, Well,
- 10:13Speaker 1: well we're we're we're recording this obviously on Friday, but
- 10:16Speaker 1: we're talking about it like it's tomorrow because we're professionals. Donald, No,
- 10:20Speaker 1: I know, I'm saying, are you Donald Phazon, mister superhero
- 10:23Speaker 1: lover gonna watch a four hour movie? Absolutely? I am.
- 10:26Speaker 1: I'm I've actually been waiting for this because I want
- 10:29Speaker 1: to see what Zach Snyder has to say. Apparently it's
- 10:32Speaker 1: in black and white? Are you okay? With two versions?
- 10:36Speaker 1: So they'll be the Justice's Grain version, which is the
- 10:38Speaker 1: black and white version that he made, but there is
- 10:40Speaker 1: also going to be a color version. I think they're
- 10:43Speaker 1: gonna launch at the same time on HBO Max. That's
- 10:45Speaker 1: a weird movie though. That's weird though. It's like, make
- 10:47Speaker 1: a choice, You're gonna make a black and white movie
- 10:49Speaker 1: or not. I'm gonna be honest with show go ahead.
- 10:54Speaker 1: I saw the original Justice League movie, the one that
- 10:58Speaker 1: Josh Sweden did. Sure, Sure, it was all right, It
- 11:02Speaker 1: ain't in game, you know what I mean. But I
- 11:07Speaker 1: really want to see what Zach has to say. I
- 11:10Speaker 1: think he has I think he has a lot to say.
- 11:12Speaker 1: I'm gonna be honest with you, I think he has
- 11:13Speaker 1: a lot to say. And there was a lot of
- 11:17Speaker 1: hype behind this because he said what was put on
- 11:20Speaker 1: screen wasn't what he intended originally. So I'm very excited
- 11:26Speaker 1: for it because Justice League was one of the better
- 11:32Speaker 1: movies of that whole thing from from the Man of
- 11:36Speaker 1: Steel on. It's one of the better movies. So and
- 11:40Speaker 1: he's saying that wasn't the movie he intended. So I
- 11:43Speaker 1: really want to see what he has to say. So
- 11:46Speaker 1: you're gonna not only watch The Red Carpet with Joel
- 11:49Speaker 1: and Kevin Smith, You're going to tune in for the
- 11:51Speaker 1: four hour movie I'm gonna do. I'm gonna do the
- 11:54Speaker 1: whole shebang. I'm will you be having jazz cabbage as
- 11:57Speaker 1: you enjoy the film. See, this is one of those
- 11:59Speaker 1: movies that that you kind of have to have. Jads
- 12:02Speaker 1: pairs nicely. Yeah, I got a bunch here now, So yeah,
- 12:06Speaker 1: he got you cooked him up. With some out though. Yeah,
- 12:10Speaker 1: mythic quest also pairs very nicely with jazz let us.
- 12:14Speaker 1: All right on, um, let's get the show. SHOT's talk
- 12:18Speaker 1: about scrubs. It's very interesting that you bop down the
- 12:21Speaker 1: hall in the beginning of the show with coffee. I'm
- 12:23Speaker 1: feeling confident. The character is feeling confident and happy, and
- 12:28Speaker 1: he's made up with Elliott. We're getting along. I'm thrilled
- 12:31Speaker 1: that she's bought us tiny post its. But that's something
- 12:34Speaker 1: that all leading man have. As a walk, George Jefferson struck. No,
- 12:40Speaker 1: every leading man has a walk, at least in the
- 12:43Speaker 1: African American community. We could talk about this. Let's talk
- 12:47Speaker 1: about the Sydney Partier. Sydney Portier. Sydney Portier has one
- 12:52Speaker 1: of the has a very similar walk to the walk
- 12:56Speaker 1: you portray in the beginning of the movie. Sydney Portier
- 12:59Speaker 1: had a bop when he walked. There was line was
- 13:02Speaker 1: more like mine was more in the spirit of George Jefferson. Right, Well,
- 13:07Speaker 1: George Jefferson is kind of biting off. Sidney Potier had
- 13:10Speaker 1: the dopest walk by far out of everybody. And then
- 13:13Speaker 1: Denzel came and Denzel's walk it was like, oh, this
- 13:17Speaker 1: is the new walk. When you did that in the beginning,
- 13:21Speaker 1: I thought, oh, JD has a walk. He's portraying you know,
- 13:27Speaker 1: he's he's doing an homage. Okay, I was wrong. You
- 13:33Speaker 1: said he was just confident, and so therefore he was
- 13:34Speaker 1: bopping down the hallway. Well, you and I, you know,
- 13:37Speaker 1: we've done this sort of We called it the pimp strut.
- 13:39Speaker 1: We've done it over and over again, especially in that
- 13:41Speaker 1: fantasy when we're truly pimps. J D does it quite
- 13:44Speaker 1: a bit, though. Yeah, well, especially when he's feeling himself
- 13:47Speaker 1: but he's failing himself. I laughed out loud when Lonnie
- 13:52Speaker 1: and I get scared by Elliot sticking her hand through
- 13:55Speaker 1: the cadaver, and and then that it was supposed to
- 13:58Speaker 1: and I knew it sposed to happen, and then I scream,
- 14:00Speaker 1: and then you reveal us on the ground holding each other,
- 14:03Speaker 1: holding yes. So funny. And then and then Elliott goes
- 14:09Speaker 1: jad you knew that it was gonna have it, and
- 14:12Speaker 1: I go It was still very startling. And then we
- 14:15Speaker 1: go back to cuddling. We returned, isn't like we got
- 14:18Speaker 1: caught cuddling on the floor, Like we returned to I
- 14:24Speaker 1: loved it. I love how cute Elliott is with JD
- 14:28Speaker 1: in the beginning with the tiny posts that you said before.
- 14:30Speaker 1: As you said before, yeah, can we talk about Brent also,
- 14:34Speaker 1: which one's Brent. Brent was the one that's being yelled
- 14:37Speaker 1: at by doctor Kelso yeah, and then you guys step
- 14:42Speaker 1: in and you handle it, and then you go into
- 14:43Speaker 1: the Lonnie situation. Yea, it really showed, like in the
- 14:47Speaker 1: opening of this show, it really shows that you guys
- 14:49Speaker 1: are working together as a team again, and it seems
- 14:53Speaker 1: that she's forgotten about or she's decided to forgive you. Yes,
- 14:58Speaker 1: she's gone hard. Yeah. Yeah, so we're finally getting along
- 15:01Speaker 1: again and um and yeah, so that's nice. She's it
- 15:04Speaker 1: seems like she's forgiven me, but she's also forgiven you
- 15:07Speaker 1: in a way that it's like she kind of pities
- 15:11Speaker 1: you in a way, like her forgiveness comes from the
- 15:13Speaker 1: fact that she's become way better than you. She's now
- 15:17Speaker 1: a superhero in the hospital. Yeah, she has sort of,
- 15:21Speaker 1: it seems and I forgot this story point, but it
- 15:24Speaker 1: seems like she she's surpassing me a bit in terms
- 15:27Speaker 1: of being a badass doctor. But it's only because j
- 15:30Speaker 1: D has a hard time multitasking. That's scooter snunt drough
- 15:34Speaker 1: the hospital. Do you remember that at all? I was funny.
- 15:37Speaker 1: I was watching that scooter stunt. I remember a little bit.
- 15:39Speaker 1: I can't remember if they rigged one electrical or not.
- 15:43Speaker 1: Do you remember or if I was really riding a
- 15:45Speaker 1: gas powered scooters through the hospital. Do you remember doing
- 15:48Speaker 1: that at all? A little bit vaguely, I didn't. I
- 15:51Speaker 1: did it all except for the fucking big jump into
- 15:54Speaker 1: the dumpster dumps. If you pause it, you can clearly
- 15:56Speaker 1: see it's not me. Um, But I do remember it,
- 16:01Speaker 1: and I my brain couldn't remember if they if they
- 16:05Speaker 1: rigged it to be an electric one, or if I
- 16:06Speaker 1: was really driving a gas powered scooter to the hospital.
- 16:09Speaker 1: Did you remember this episode at all? Like this episode,
- 16:12Speaker 1: this is back to back where I'd literally back to back.
- 16:15Speaker 1: I had no clue what was going to happen. I
- 16:18Speaker 1: don't remember any of it, to be honest. Yeah, that's
- 16:22Speaker 1: really interesting. Not even Nurse Tisdale in her thong. Yeah,
- 16:25Speaker 1: and that would be the easiest thing to remember. By
- 16:29Speaker 1: the way, I don't know if Nurse Tisdale's been back
- 16:31Speaker 1: in a while, she's talked about as like, you know,
- 16:34Speaker 1: she did the Phoebe Kates thing, and she's talked about
- 16:37Speaker 1: as like the hottest woman in the in the hospital.
- 16:40Speaker 1: But I don't think we've seen her since, right, No,
- 16:43Speaker 1: we haven't. But that was a glorious shot of the
- 16:46Speaker 1: thong with that What was that let the throng came with?
- 16:50Speaker 1: So that used to be a thing that like let
- 16:54Speaker 1: your thong stray. Everybody remembers that for that for that
- 16:58Speaker 1: brief year. All we have to do is look in
- 17:05Speaker 1: what year this was shot? But this is four maybe
- 17:09Speaker 1: oh five? Here, I got it, it's oh five, January
- 17:13Speaker 1: oh five. For that, remember when that was considered sexy?
- 17:16Speaker 1: Oh shit, her thongs hanging out of here? Yeah, well
- 17:18Speaker 1: this was clearly the era because we're like showing like, oh,
- 17:21Speaker 1: she bent over and her thong is showing. It's so sexy.
- 17:26Speaker 1: But it's so bad by the way. I mean, let's
- 17:28Speaker 1: just fucking be honest. Todd is tricking the women, including
- 17:32Speaker 1: your wife, she send over so he can look at
- 17:35Speaker 1: their thongs and yell thong. Right, but not only but
- 17:38Speaker 1: not only that. When Turk's wife smaxim in his face,
- 17:42Speaker 1: he says, Phase five, what uh pig Oh my god,
- 17:47Speaker 1: that's a wrap. He should have been fired a long
- 17:50Speaker 1: time ago. Dude, Todd should have been fired like on
- 17:53Speaker 1: fucking the second episode. But you know, yeah, whatever, you know,
- 18:00Speaker 1: in this day and age, she'd be long gone. But um,
- 18:03Speaker 1: he wouldn't have made it. Todd wouldn't have made it
- 18:05Speaker 1: past the first up. You're absolutely no. I mean, the
- 18:07Speaker 1: only you could justify is that they keep him around
- 18:09Speaker 1: because he's supposedly this fucking savant, genius surgeon. But that
- 18:13Speaker 1: doesn't mean shit man was a good fucking interviewer. Also,
- 18:17Speaker 1: that mother fucking gone. I'm not saying. I'm not saying.
- 18:21Speaker 1: In the real world he wouldn't be fired, and in
- 18:24Speaker 1: twenty twenty one, you wouldn't even fucking have this character.
- 18:27Speaker 1: But that having been said, um, some of it's pretty
- 18:30Speaker 1: fucking funny. I'm as as as much as it doesn't
- 18:35Speaker 1: pay me to say this, But it might not be
- 18:36Speaker 1: the most PC thing to say, but Todd is my
- 18:39Speaker 1: favorite character on the show. I think I think a
- 18:41Speaker 1: lot of people probably agree with you. Um, when I
- 18:45Speaker 1: come out of the dumpster, I've got some sauce on
- 18:48Speaker 1: my hand from the bags, and I lick it and
- 18:50Speaker 1: I go ambrosia? Why why? Why? Jad? No? No? Wait,
- 18:58Speaker 1: hold on, what have you ever had ambrosio? It's yellow? Right?
- 19:01Speaker 1: It's the jello? No, but what is it? There's marshmallow
- 19:04Speaker 1: and I don't know what marshmallow fruit salad, and it's
- 19:07Speaker 1: it's like a fruit. It's a dessert, right, but it's
- 19:10Speaker 1: like a but it's like a fruit salad with marshmallow.
- 19:13Speaker 1: What the jello isn't jellow in it? Or something like
- 19:16Speaker 1: hand fresh pineapple, canned mandarin oranges, slices of fresh orange sections,
- 19:20Speaker 1: miniature marshmallows and coconuts. I knew there was a marshmallow.
- 19:25Speaker 1: Who thought of this? Who thought of this? Who was like, listen,
- 19:28Speaker 1: I don't know, man. We an't got no fresh fruit,
- 19:30Speaker 1: but we got all this cans shit, and we got
- 19:32Speaker 1: some marshmallow. Let's put it together and call it salad.
- 19:34Speaker 1: But listen, I gotta tell you I love a surprise
- 19:37Speaker 1: marshmallow in a dish my my my stepmother, my stepmother
- 19:41Speaker 1: used to make. I don't know if it was an
- 19:43Speaker 1: East Coast Jewish thing or what. Maybe you listening out
- 19:46Speaker 1: there know what this is. But it was like sweet potatoes,
- 19:49Speaker 1: candy bright. Oh yeah, I was about to say, and
- 19:52Speaker 1: then a layer of marshmallow on top. Can love that.
- 19:55Speaker 1: It's not a Jewish thing, dude, it's not a Jewish thing, right, Well,
- 19:58Speaker 1: we had it in a lot of Jewish others. Very good, though.
- 20:03Speaker 1: This is the best day ever. What this is the
- 20:06Speaker 1: best day every Jewish? Why are you falling over and
- 20:12Speaker 1: you didn't even have and you didn't even have your
- 20:14Speaker 1: morning whiskey? Because that's because that's the best thing I've
- 20:17Speaker 1: ever heard of. I don't know if it was a
- 20:20Speaker 1: Jewish thing or something, but it was candid. Yeah, it
- 20:23Speaker 1: was yams. It was like sweet potatoes, Yeah, marshmallows on top. Yeah.
- 20:27Speaker 1: And then a yama there was there was a chip.
- 20:35Speaker 1: There was a chip shaped like a yamaca and you'd
- 20:36Speaker 1: scoop it. Oh no, no, okay, that's yeah, you're right,
- 20:41Speaker 1: you're right. That's it's different, all right? What about what
- 20:43Speaker 1: about fluffer nutterers? Fucking love a fluff for nutter? I
- 20:47Speaker 1: do love a fluff of nutter. I haven't had I
- 20:49Speaker 1: want to have children just so I can justify having
- 20:51Speaker 1: fluffer nutterers. You can have fluff of nudders. I can't
- 20:54Speaker 1: be an adult male or buying fluffer Nutter supplies on
- 20:58Speaker 1: my own. Why not just announced it's for children. Sorry,
- 21:02Speaker 1: Daniel's like looking at his fluff. You can live, live
- 21:09Speaker 1: to be skinny. I can't put fluff marshmallow fluff in
- 21:12Speaker 1: the cart all. Can we ask you a question? Yeah?
- 21:14Speaker 1: Did you work out today? That's my Oh you played tennis?
- 21:17Speaker 1: I took the funniest Cody class. If you have peloton,
- 21:20Speaker 1: you gotta do the the whatever. The most recent Cody
- 21:24Speaker 1: forty five minute pop ride is. It was so funny.
- 21:27Speaker 1: He's wearing a lightning bolt earring for some reason. If
- 21:30Speaker 1: you want to, if you want to find it. But
- 21:32Speaker 1: he did this funniest shit on on. He put this
- 21:36Speaker 1: remix of Jolene on there. Oh, and he's riding and
- 21:40Speaker 1: he's like and like he does this like southern gay
- 21:43Speaker 1: sort of like thing where he's like, now listen, Jolene,
- 21:47Speaker 1: I don't give a funk if you if you, if
- 21:49Speaker 1: if my man cheats on you with Joline, you can
- 21:51Speaker 1: have him. Joline. I don't want that man back. He
- 21:57Speaker 1: did this whole riff on how like he don't give
- 21:59Speaker 1: a fun talk about Joline. And if Jolene hooked up
- 22:03Speaker 1: with his man, don't try coming back after Joline. I mean,
- 22:06Speaker 1: it was like a fucking comedian. Can keep him? Yeah,
- 22:09Speaker 1: I love it. I love him. He's like I love Dolly,
- 22:12Speaker 1: But listen, I ain't trying to beg Joline from my
- 22:14Speaker 1: man back. You know what I'm saying. Cash you a question,
- 22:19Speaker 1: But why couldn't Gizmo the dog be real and Tupac
- 22:23Speaker 1: the robot be real? Yeah, we couldn't decide if we
- 22:26Speaker 1: were going to name our robot our future one day robot,
- 22:29Speaker 1: Tupac or Gizmo. But Gizmo the dog that was supposed
- 22:33Speaker 1: to help me when I'm blind was I I like
- 22:38Speaker 1: the Turk had that coming, But Tupac the Robot would
- 22:41Speaker 1: have been and then tries it out. He's like, hold on,
- 22:44Speaker 1: let me try it out. Tupac. Can we have some
- 22:46Speaker 1: more syrup on our pancakes? Yes? Or something? Oh? Yeah?
- 22:51Speaker 1: I like it that I wish gives. I wish Tupac
- 22:56Speaker 1: the Robot would have come to fruition robots by now, guys,
- 23:00Speaker 1: I mean, like, dude, right now. The chest now fucked
- 23:04Speaker 1: us up as children. I really thought that we were
- 23:06Speaker 1: gonna have robots in the house. They're supposed to be
- 23:08Speaker 1: flying cars right now. Back to the future, sucked us
- 23:10Speaker 1: up as kids too. It's supposed to be flying cars
- 23:12Speaker 1: right now. I have this thing called Ibo. You want
- 23:14Speaker 1: to see him. I turned him off because he freaked
- 23:16Speaker 1: me out. Are were about to meet a robot? What?
- 23:20Speaker 1: Zach Braff has aio? What kind of robot? Oh my goodness,
- 23:25Speaker 1: what the hell? Back Braff got? Ai? Y'all? Is it? Is?
- 23:29Speaker 1: It like a well that's the thing, but with a face.
- 23:32Speaker 1: Oh sorry, he's called Gibo if you're I'm talking about Jibo.
- 23:37Speaker 1: I turned him off because he's like he was just
- 23:40Speaker 1: he chills on your counter, and I realized, like he
- 23:43Speaker 1: just has the ability, like if he got hacked, he
- 23:45Speaker 1: could just be spying on just so easily. So I
- 23:48Speaker 1: got a little freaked out by Gibo just chilling in
- 23:50Speaker 1: my living room. So now he's turned off. What is
- 23:54Speaker 1: what is his purpose? What? The funniest thing he did
- 23:56Speaker 1: was you could be like Gibo twerk and he would
- 23:58Speaker 1: like literally back his things up and shake his button. Um.
- 24:02Speaker 1: I think like it's like a very early idea concept
- 24:05Speaker 1: of a robot. You can have do task. It's kind
- 24:07Speaker 1: of like an Alexa with a personality, so he moves around.
- 24:10Speaker 1: You can be like, oh, geebo, take a picture, and
- 24:12Speaker 1: it's take a picture you can be you know, and
- 24:14Speaker 1: he hooks up you know. It's kind of like an
- 24:16Speaker 1: Alexa with a personality. Got it started? Yeah it is, yeah,
- 24:20Speaker 1: but no, but well no, I freaked out about privacy.
- 24:24Speaker 1: There there were a couple of other things that went
- 24:26Speaker 1: into play with Chucky. There was like a freak there
- 24:30Speaker 1: was there was a sprunt old warehouse worker and a
- 24:33Speaker 1: lightning storm in your well, that's that's that's in the recreation.
- 24:39Speaker 1: That's in the recreation. In the original, he makes a
- 24:42Speaker 1: freaking hexagon. Well, not a what is it a pentagon?
- 24:46Speaker 1: He makes a pentacon. No, not a pentagon with the pentagram. Yeah,
- 24:51Speaker 1: point yeah. He makes a pentagram in the toy store,
- 24:56Speaker 1: and I believe he cuts himself too to become the doll.
- 25:00Speaker 1: And in the remake, it's a little bit like I'm saying,
- 25:04Speaker 1: this is more realistic, like the dog gets. I've never
- 25:10Speaker 1: seen a Chucky movie in my life. What man, it's
- 25:13Speaker 1: just sow not my jam. I don't really like horror,
- 25:15Speaker 1: and I really don't like like jump scare horror. I mean,
- 25:18Speaker 1: I like, I like a thriller movie, like you know,
- 25:24Speaker 1: like The Shining. You know, an artful or a Midsummer
- 25:26Speaker 1: you know, an artful scary movie. But I don't like
- 25:29Speaker 1: like jump Scare, Chucky fucking Dog Coming and get Me movies.
- 25:33Speaker 1: I understand, you know what I'm saying. One I one
- 25:37Speaker 1: I saw that I did love by the way. That
- 25:39Speaker 1: always stuck with me. And it's a weird cut. Maybe
- 25:42Speaker 1: you guys haven't seen it was Exorcist three, Okay for
- 25:46Speaker 1: some reason. Yeah, for some reason, I'm telling you see
- 25:49Speaker 1: this movie. It is not only scary, but really bizarre
- 25:52Speaker 1: and well done. For some reason, so you didn't like
- 25:55Speaker 1: you did not like The Shining. No, I love the Shining.
- 25:57Speaker 1: I'm saying if they're artful and they're made by an
- 26:01Speaker 1: amazing filmmaker like an Ariaster or or you know, someone
- 26:04Speaker 1: who's adding art to it, I love that. I just
- 26:07Speaker 1: not into the Jump Scare. Holy shit, there's someone behind
- 26:10Speaker 1: the door ship. So you don't like a horror movie,
- 26:12Speaker 1: you prefer a horror film. Well, I don't know what
- 26:15Speaker 1: do you call Midsummer or The Shining compared to a
- 26:17Speaker 1: horror movie? Those are well, I mean, I think The
- 26:20Speaker 1: Shining is a horror movie. I think mich Summer is
- 26:22Speaker 1: a is A is a thriller that gets wacky in
- 26:27Speaker 1: the end, like gross in the end. I don't know,
- 26:30Speaker 1: but whatever the distinction is that I like those. I
- 26:34Speaker 1: like I like going you know when when they're trippy
- 26:37Speaker 1: but scary. I just don't like like, so you never
- 26:41Speaker 1: coming here? So you've never seen a nightmare and elm
- 26:44Speaker 1: Street movie ever, No, oh, you're missing out on some
- 26:47Speaker 1: real I think I saw one of the Halloween's and
- 26:49Speaker 1: I was so scarred by it that I got robbed
- 26:53Speaker 1: a bunch as a kid, like, oh, my god, in
- 26:56Speaker 1: the neighborhood and his neighborhood, not in his house, not
- 26:58Speaker 1: his house, no my house. All yeah, I got bike
- 27:01Speaker 1: stolen my neighborood, but in my Where the fuck did
- 27:03Speaker 1: y'all live? We lived right next to Newark and m
- 27:07Speaker 1: Newark had a lot of crime, and a lot of
- 27:09Speaker 1: the burglars would be like, well, why are we robbing Newark?
- 27:13Speaker 1: Why don't we go to that suburb that's right there?
- 27:16Speaker 1: And and so our house got burglaries a few times.
- 27:19Speaker 1: Make a long story short. As a child, I did.
- 27:21Speaker 1: I had some trauma about like the idea of someone
- 27:24Speaker 1: trying to break into your house like that opening scene
- 27:26Speaker 1: him scream with Drew Barrymore is my fucking nightmare. And
- 27:29Speaker 1: at the time, as a child, I was like, this
- 27:31Speaker 1: is not my jam, right, I respect that That's a
- 27:34Speaker 1: very scary scene, super scary, like if you want to
- 27:37Speaker 1: get me, like, way scarier than fucking nightmare. And I'm stree.
- 27:39Speaker 1: Shit is people trying to fucking break into your house
- 27:41Speaker 1: and kill you? No, that shit is scary, man, I'm
- 27:44Speaker 1: freaking you know how it is. I stayed. Look, so
- 27:49Speaker 1: there are several reasons why I There are times I
- 27:53Speaker 1: can't sleep in the same bed as my wife because
- 27:55Speaker 1: I'm a twitcher and I wake her up, et cetera,
- 27:57Speaker 1: et cetera. But for the most part I sleep. I
- 28:01Speaker 1: sleep in an area where I can see most of
- 28:06Speaker 1: the house just in case something goes down and I
- 28:09Speaker 1: can protect my family, you know what I mean, Like
- 28:12Speaker 1: in the foyer, Like, no, not in a fucking dickhead
- 28:16Speaker 1: where I have a I have a cot in the foyer.
- 28:24Speaker 1: But but it's because you know, you don't want anybody
- 28:27Speaker 1: to break into the house. And if somebody does break
- 28:29Speaker 1: in the house, you know, sure the dark can the
- 28:32Speaker 1: dog can bark, but it's way better if somebody's like,
- 28:35Speaker 1: there's somebody in my fucking house. Get out. That's your plan. Yeah, man,
- 28:42Speaker 1: I'm trying to save my family. That's my brother's plan too.
- 28:46Speaker 1: He demanded to take the room closest to the front
- 28:48Speaker 1: door because he was like, if somebody breaks in that
- 28:50Speaker 1: I'll be the first one. And I was like, okay,
- 28:52Speaker 1: oh that's sweet. He's like, oh, well, they'll kill me first.
- 28:56Speaker 1: That's what I was like, what difference does it make.
- 28:58Speaker 1: It's close, somebody, somebody's gonna say something, is my point.
- 29:03Speaker 1: Somebody's gonna you will get a heads up. And what
- 29:06Speaker 1: you do with that heads up if I can't subdue
- 29:08Speaker 1: said intruder's up to you, but at least you get strong.
- 29:14Speaker 1: I will fight like him. I have love in my
- 29:16Speaker 1: heart and you can family. I have love in my
- 29:18Speaker 1: heart for my family, and I will fucking fuck you up. Dude,
- 29:21Speaker 1: I promise you right now. Don't come. Don't come. I'm
- 29:23Speaker 1: not don't talking to me. I'm not talking to you you.
- 29:25Speaker 1: I'm talking about who listen. I'm talking about to whoever
- 29:27Speaker 1: was listening. I was like, you know what, I get
- 29:31Speaker 1: this motherfucker forever. That's right, baby, whatever, Alright, let's get
- 29:41Speaker 1: back into the show. Let's go to the show. So
- 29:43Speaker 1: j D thinks he's the master of like diagnosing uh
- 29:47Speaker 1: people and he he says, you know, he's really condescending
- 29:50Speaker 1: to Elliott and patronizing, and he's like, I'm I'll take
- 29:53Speaker 1: you into my wing. You'll be Bangs McCoy and you'll
- 29:56Speaker 1: be your little that'll be your nickname and I and
- 29:58Speaker 1: I'll help you. Meanwhile, Elliott's already figured it out. But
- 30:02Speaker 1: we do this sort of little CSI moment where it's
- 30:05Speaker 1: a great moment. Yeah, it's like a CII access. That's
- 30:08Speaker 1: what we're spoofing, right, CSI where I where I see
- 30:11Speaker 1: the packets. I don't know if I've house did this
- 30:13Speaker 1: too as a medical mystery thing. I don't know. I
- 30:15Speaker 1: was looking at it like a freaking Colombo or something
- 30:18Speaker 1: like that. But okay, no I Colombo. They show it
- 30:21Speaker 1: the Colombo. They show the crime before it happened, and
- 30:24Speaker 1: then you watch him figure it out. Yeah, it's like
- 30:28Speaker 1: a CSI is like they go to that special colored
- 30:32Speaker 1: sort of handheld camera and it's and it's it's it's
- 30:35Speaker 1: clearly a flashback, and it's it's it's got that that
- 30:37Speaker 1: effect to it. A lot of these crime investigation shows
- 30:40Speaker 1: that the genius guy who figures it all out is like,
- 30:43Speaker 1: wait a minute, slowed down, like you know, you know,
- 30:46Speaker 1: Sherlock Holmes obviously started this whole thing, but like slid down.
- 30:49Speaker 1: I think those packets are I think you're missing something,
- 30:51Speaker 1: bangs McCoy. Those packets are on the floor because Todd
- 30:55Speaker 1: placed them there to look at Nurse Tuesdale stong um. Anyway,
- 31:00Speaker 1: so we learned later in a flashback that Elliott's already
- 31:03Speaker 1: figured out what Jad is, sort of cockily saying that
- 31:07Speaker 1: he's figured out. Yeah, she's a better doctor than he is.
- 31:13Speaker 1: We should go to break. Nurse still does have a
- 31:15Speaker 1: nice bottom, though, Are we allowed to say that, Joel,
- 31:19Speaker 1: Let's go to break. Let's go to break. Ok let's
- 31:21Speaker 1: go to break. When we come back, Joel, we'll tell
- 31:23Speaker 1: us if we're allowed to say that and we are back. Okay,
- 31:38Speaker 1: I think it is right. The actress was hible. The
- 31:42Speaker 1: actress was hired and comfortable playing chick who bends over.
- 31:46Speaker 1: And we can all appreciate a good ass. It's universal, genderless,
- 31:51Speaker 1: all genders. Everyone loves a good butt, you know. Okay,
- 31:54Speaker 1: that's that's one hundred. There was this dude that that's
- 31:58Speaker 1: one hundred. There was this dude that worked out at
- 32:00Speaker 1: the gym that I worked out at. He had one
- 32:04Speaker 1: of the best asses I've ever seen in my life.
- 32:06Speaker 1: But the thing was he knew it. That was the problem.
- 32:09Speaker 1: That's when it gets. That's when it's a problem. Like
- 32:12Speaker 1: it's all right to have a it's all right to
- 32:13Speaker 1: have a nice ass and pretend like you don't know
- 32:16Speaker 1: you have a nice ass. But the minute you start
- 32:19Speaker 1: highlighting your nice ass with the clothes you wear, we
- 32:22Speaker 1: got at he's no dummy. He's doing all the squats.
- 32:24Speaker 1: He wants to show it off. And that was but
- 32:27Speaker 1: not only not only would he do squats, he would
- 32:29Speaker 1: do squats so the ass was facing everybody. Yea, like,
- 32:33Speaker 1: when I do squats, listen, I got a nice ass,
- 32:38Speaker 1: you were born with that. I don't get fun with
- 32:40Speaker 1: anybody says I got a nice motherfucking ass, right, But
- 32:43Speaker 1: when I do squats, I'm not trying to fucking stick
- 32:45Speaker 1: my ass and everybody's face. I would be just like
- 32:48Speaker 1: a mantle. Well, it's just like a nice little shelf. Yeah, forever, forever, baby,
- 32:58Speaker 1: I'm really starting to regret at this machine. No, no stop. Hey,
- 33:02Speaker 1: I told you about when I was working at a
- 33:04Speaker 1: Gold's gym in Hollywood. I didn't know. It was like
- 33:06Speaker 1: a predominantly gay gym, and like I'd be like doing
- 33:08Speaker 1: like a squad and everyone was like trying to help
- 33:11Speaker 1: me and everyone. I came home and I was told
- 33:14Speaker 1: my girlfriend at the time, I was like, everyone at
- 33:15Speaker 1: the gym is so helpful because they were like, no,
- 33:20Speaker 1: you gotta arch that shit, pu it out. I was like, okay,
- 33:24Speaker 1: uh it out. Do you need to be spotting so
- 33:27Speaker 1: closely from behind? Which which gym was it? Was it
- 33:30Speaker 1: the one right across the street from gold Hollywood. I
- 33:33Speaker 1: haven't been there, literally, haven't been there in twenty years.
- 33:35Speaker 1: But was it the one right with Whole Foods? Not
- 33:37Speaker 1: Whole Foods Trader Joe's. That gym across street from Trader
- 33:41Speaker 1: Joe's on on Sunset Boulevard, right before Robertson. No, No,
- 33:46Speaker 1: that's the other way. I mean on on sorry, sorry,
- 33:48Speaker 1: on Santa Monica Boulevard, right before Robertson. No, it's not Robertson, dude.
- 33:53Speaker 1: It's east like Coenda, right. Yeah, it's like in the
- 33:57Speaker 1: heart of real Hollywood, not West hollywand there was a
- 34:01Speaker 1: gay gym in the heart of real Hollywood, not West Hollywood. Yeah,
- 34:04Speaker 1: it wasn't in like um Boystown area. It was. It
- 34:07Speaker 1: was like it just happened to be a golds that
- 34:09Speaker 1: a lot of gay men enjoyed. And I was there
- 34:12Speaker 1: to be taught how to do a proper squat. I was.
- 34:16Speaker 1: I was putty in their hands. I'd actually have a
- 34:20Speaker 1: fierce squat though I had arched my back and push
- 34:24Speaker 1: that shit out. All right, let's get back to the
- 34:27Speaker 1: show for good. Oh the guest is here. Do you
- 34:28Speaker 1: want to invite the guest in Joel, let's do it,
- 34:30Speaker 1: by the way. A handful of comments um saying that
- 34:34Speaker 1: they agree with Donald and not me on keeping the
- 34:37Speaker 1: two questions. So I tried, but everyone likes the two questions.
- 34:41Speaker 1: Don't fix it if it ain't broke, as they say.
- 34:44Speaker 1: I'm just saying somebody was like, somebody was like, your
- 34:47Speaker 1: show seemed rushed, you know what it was? Though, now
- 34:51Speaker 1: we should we should say this to everybody. I was
- 34:54Speaker 1: inebriated the last show, though I think I was. I
- 34:59Speaker 1: was known. I was waiting for the comments, but I
- 35:03Speaker 1: was a need. Oh you should thank Daniel because he
- 35:06Speaker 1: cleaned you up and edit. Thank you very much, Daniel.
- 35:09Speaker 1: But I and so if the show seemed rush, it
- 35:12Speaker 1: was because I was. I was all over the place.
- 35:15Speaker 1: We were listening back to it, and I was like, God,
- 35:18Speaker 1: shut the fun. And then Donald wrote something in the
- 35:23Speaker 1: group chat where he was like, Daniel, he used to
- 35:25Speaker 1: take out all the places where I seemed drunk, and
- 35:27Speaker 1: I wrote, that's gonna take him all night. We laughed,
- 35:32Speaker 1: But it's true. I'm glad that you chose not to
- 35:37Speaker 1: have your morning whiskey today. Oh that's not gonna happen again.
- 35:40Speaker 1: But I'm gonna be um thirty days no booze soon.
- 35:44Speaker 1: Congratulates Good for you. Yeah, you are going You are
- 35:49Speaker 1: going to be forty six in a couple of in
- 35:51Speaker 1: a few weeks too. I know. I think this might
- 35:54Speaker 1: be my first ever birthday that I don't have, oh
- 35:57Speaker 1: since being eighteen, probably that I have not gonna have
- 36:00Speaker 1: a sip of alcohol. Wow, I'm gonna try and keep
- 36:03Speaker 1: it going. I don't mean to say that I'm going
- 36:05Speaker 1: to be sober rest of my life, but I am
- 36:07Speaker 1: enjoying this health kick I'm on trying to get in
- 36:09Speaker 1: shape for the movie and I definitely feel not only
- 36:13Speaker 1: do you lose weight fast when there's no booze in
- 36:15Speaker 1: your life, or at least I do, but I feel
- 36:17Speaker 1: more clarity and more energy and just overall better. That's wonderful.
- 36:22Speaker 1: So um yeah, So I'm about to hit a month
- 36:25Speaker 1: and I'm excited about that because it's not easy, especially
- 36:27Speaker 1: in quarantine. You're just fucking sitting around your house going
- 36:29Speaker 1: it's staring at bad wine bottle, going that one's tasty, Zach.
- 36:32Speaker 1: It's not easy at all, dude. I'm gonna tell you
- 36:34Speaker 1: right now. I've tried to quit smoking weed. Every time
- 36:39Speaker 1: I smoke, every time I finished smoking a joint, I'm like,
- 36:43Speaker 1: that's the last one. Yeah, and then guess what I do? Yeah, Well,
- 36:48Speaker 1: we would be wouldn't be bad for you if you
- 36:50Speaker 1: didn't lead you to eat so much. That's big facts.
- 36:53Speaker 1: That's where it gets you. Um, you know, getting high,
- 36:56Speaker 1: if you're just getting high and watching a movie like
- 36:58Speaker 1: who cares? But if you're getting high and then staring
- 37:00Speaker 1: at the chips, No, I don't stare at the chips.
- 37:03Speaker 1: I eat the motherfuckers. Is this motherfucker talking about the
- 37:11Speaker 1: biggest motherfucker sister smokes weeding. Just stares at chips. You
- 37:15Speaker 1: are hurting. You are freaking trying to torture yourself. I
- 37:17Speaker 1: told you my secret, but you don't. You don't, you
- 37:19Speaker 1: don't like it. But I just don't have any of
- 37:20Speaker 1: that ship in my house. So well, you just stare
- 37:22Speaker 1: at the chips. So you smoke that ship. I mean,
- 37:24Speaker 1: you eat that ships. How that's how you know you're
- 37:28Speaker 1: when you're like, fucking I need to smoke them chips,
- 37:30Speaker 1: you know what. That's how high you are. You're like,
- 37:32Speaker 1: if I put these chips in them, I'll be trying
- 37:37Speaker 1: to regulate when I smoke, so that it's like I'm
- 37:39Speaker 1: gonna smoke right before dinner, so I'm eating the dinner.
- 37:43Speaker 1: I can't do that because I want to smoke right
- 37:46Speaker 1: after dinner. Though. There's nothing like smoking weed after dinner.
- 37:49Speaker 1: I just pop an edible and go to bed. Another
- 37:53Speaker 1: thing you could do Donald is, um, don't You're probably
- 37:56Speaker 1: not gonna do this, but don't smoke Ganda until you
- 37:59Speaker 1: are down, you know, up in your bedroom area and
- 38:02Speaker 1: getting ready to wind down where you're not near the food. Okay,
- 38:06Speaker 1: so here's the thing. This is probably very boring for
- 38:09Speaker 1: people that don't ever enjoy jazz cabbage. We should probably
- 38:12Speaker 1: move on. Okay, but here's the thing. Go ahead, as
- 38:28Speaker 1: I take a hit from my bone. As I take
- 38:30Speaker 1: a hit from my bone. All right, let's go on.
- 38:32Speaker 1: Let's get the caller in here. Let's get the callar
- 38:34Speaker 1: Weed enhance his ship. Let's go all right, I need
- 38:38Speaker 1: that ump from my pad. Daniel Weed enhance his ship noted.
- 38:43Speaker 1: Say hello to Norberto Chinchilla nor a bad Touchinilla. Oh man, yes, Norbet,
- 38:53Speaker 1: so nice to meet you, man. Oh, nice to meet
- 38:56Speaker 1: y'all too. Oh, oh my god, I'm seeing things I
- 38:58Speaker 1: love already, sir. Oh. I always look at the background.
- 39:01Speaker 1: I'm seeing Boba fed, I'm seeing BB eight and I'm
- 39:05Speaker 1: seeing a white board, and I'm seeing a white board
- 39:07Speaker 1: with goals and the closet. Yeah. And he got a
- 39:12Speaker 1: mic and head funds on. He came from you. You
- 39:15Speaker 1: are are kind of guest. Norberto, welcome to the show.
- 39:18Speaker 1: Thank you, thank you. I gotta. I got a quick
- 39:20Speaker 1: shout out for my girlfriend since she helped me set
- 39:22Speaker 1: up the mic. And Alison shout out to you work
- 39:28Speaker 1: Alison Nolberto. Where are you calling from Fort Worth, Texas?
- 39:36Speaker 1: In the house, Yeah, yeah, you can call me Norb
- 39:41Speaker 1: by the way and ORB. So, um, how how are
- 39:46Speaker 1: you guys holding up? I know, Joell just ask you,
- 39:48Speaker 1: but how are you guys holding up? After the storm? Oh?
- 39:50Speaker 1: You know what? It was rough that that that week
- 39:53Speaker 1: was very rough. I still have to go to work
- 39:55Speaker 1: at the hospital and all that. But our house got
- 39:58Speaker 1: done to like thirty five. I have degrees inside the house.
- 40:02Speaker 1: We had to go stay with some friends and we
- 40:05Speaker 1: got two dogs and two cats, so that was it
- 40:07Speaker 1: was a bit a bit hard moving them. But you know,
- 40:11Speaker 1: everything's back to normal now, well somewhat. Do you guys
- 40:14Speaker 1: got clean water? Yeah? Yeah, yeah, we are water and
- 40:17Speaker 1: never had any any problems or anything. My wife's family
- 40:20Speaker 1: is in Texas and they don't have clean water. We
- 40:23Speaker 1: you know it's still Yeah. Did their water supply is horrible?
- 40:28Speaker 1: We Casey said, you shipped the water? Huh because they
- 40:30Speaker 1: couldn't even they couldn't even get it down there. Yeah,
- 40:32Speaker 1: their their water is their water supply is horrible. Man,
- 40:35Speaker 1: that's terrible. What do you do in the in a hospital,
- 40:39Speaker 1: I'm a respiratory therapist. Oh yeah, you don't. You don't
- 40:43Speaker 1: hear much about us in the Yeah, tell everyone tell
- 40:47Speaker 1: everyone in Layman's terms. I imagine you've been very busy
- 40:50Speaker 1: recently too, Yeah, tell him, tell them what that position is.
- 40:53Speaker 1: So uh, pretty much, we help people breathe when they
- 40:56Speaker 1: can't breathe for themselves, and it can go any of
- 40:59Speaker 1: her from giving them simple breathing treatment like an albutreal
- 41:01Speaker 1: treatment for enismatic or anything to you know, ventilator management,
- 41:06Speaker 1: which is what normal people like to call life support
- 41:09Speaker 1: in scrubs that are a matter of fact, there's some avillas,
- 41:12Speaker 1: those kind of purplish machines, you know, with the breathing teams. Yeah. Yeah,
- 41:16Speaker 1: so that that's a good rig. Do we have a
- 41:18Speaker 1: good rig? Yeah? Yeah, you know most of the time
- 41:20Speaker 1: it was pretty accurate. Not that for I'm saying, was
- 41:24Speaker 1: that was for two thousand and five? Was that good gear? Yeah?
- 41:27Speaker 1: I mean we still use them. So okay, well there
- 41:29Speaker 1: we go for us. And do you are you a
- 41:32Speaker 1: part of int intubating the patient? Yeah? So, depending on
- 41:36Speaker 1: what facility you work at, m most of the therapists
- 41:39Speaker 1: will usually assist the physician, but or whatever provider. It
- 41:44Speaker 1: could be a nurse practitioner you know, that will be
- 41:46Speaker 1: doing the intubating and some some facilities will have the
- 41:50Speaker 1: therapists actually do it themselves. So I do get trained
- 41:52Speaker 1: and I got trained in then in school, and do
- 41:55Speaker 1: you and I imagine in COVID times, this this your
- 41:59Speaker 1: position has been really in need because a lot of
- 42:02Speaker 1: people are respirators, right, Yeah, it's it's quite unfortunate that
- 42:05Speaker 1: we've gotten paid quite a bit. You know, we've we've
- 42:08Speaker 1: made we've had so many positions open up and so
- 42:11Speaker 1: many more they're still needed, and it's really proven. Uh,
- 42:15Speaker 1: it's shown like a lot of hospitals that there's a
- 42:18Speaker 1: great need and great importance for the job we do. Unfortunately,
- 42:22Speaker 1: you came with with you know, pandemic, right, but you're
- 42:25Speaker 1: also risking your life though, aren't you by when you
- 42:28Speaker 1: get to the intubating part and uh, putting someone on
- 42:33Speaker 1: a respirator, you don't necessarily have that much protection from
- 42:38Speaker 1: their breath and their party. I imagine they've got full
- 42:41Speaker 1: ppe on right when you're doing yes, yeah, yeah, so
- 42:44Speaker 1: when this first started, they didn't you didn't have Yeah. No,
- 42:46Speaker 1: when we first started, we man, we just go go raw,
- 42:49Speaker 1: you know, just straight up, no mask nothing, you know.
- 42:53Speaker 1: Now now now we go hardcore, you know, goggles everything,
- 42:57Speaker 1: whatever we need. I've seen some of these, some of
- 42:59Speaker 1: the I saw this thing nor. I don't know if
- 43:01Speaker 1: you guys have it or know what it is, but
- 43:03Speaker 1: this woman had like a helmet on with a tube
- 43:06Speaker 1: coming out the top, and it looked like almost like
- 43:08Speaker 1: almost like I'll tell you what it looked like. It
- 43:10Speaker 1: looked like freaking Marty McFly when he was freaking over
- 43:14Speaker 1: his dad. Yeah, I am. My name is Darth Vada.
- 43:19Speaker 1: I am from the planet Vulcan. I was gonna say
- 43:21Speaker 1: it looked like the thing they wore in the ABYSS
- 43:23Speaker 1: when they go like like a futuristic it's called a papper,
- 43:28Speaker 1: a purified air protection something that's great. Nor did everyone
- 43:34Speaker 1: not have those? And now now you guys have them
- 43:36Speaker 1: or what? So they're like really expensive. So most of
- 43:40Speaker 1: the time, like at most facilities, they have like ten,
- 43:43Speaker 1: you know, like for the whole hospital, you know, and
- 43:46Speaker 1: so people, you know, we wipe them down to share
- 43:48Speaker 1: them because most of our negative pressure rooms and places
- 43:51Speaker 1: where we needed that is for tuberculosis patients or anything
- 43:55Speaker 1: that's kind of airborne. But you know, that's not really
- 43:57Speaker 1: heard of that much. Well, and then all of a
- 43:59Speaker 1: sudden we started getting COVID patients and we're like, oh man,
- 44:02Speaker 1: we need more, you know, we need masks, and every
- 44:04Speaker 1: everybody started running out. I felt, really, I felt good
- 44:08Speaker 1: when I saw that. I don't know what her position was,
- 44:11Speaker 1: some healthcare provider in that, and because I was like, oh,
- 44:14Speaker 1: that's you know, I hope that they start stocking everybody
- 44:19Speaker 1: up with these, because I just feel so much safer.
- 44:21Speaker 1: It felt like, oh, yeah, you guys need that. That's yeah, yeah,
- 44:24Speaker 1: you know. Especially so the thing if you have any
- 44:26Speaker 1: facial whatsoever, it's you're not supposed to wear an Nnettie
- 44:30Speaker 1: five mask because it won't sealed properly. It already only ignored.
- 44:35Speaker 1: But then why are you rocking that goatee? Brother? Oh? Oh,
- 44:38Speaker 1: I mean I strap on the papper. Okay, yeah, I
- 44:43Speaker 1: go in, I go in scuba style, you know, all right?
- 44:45Speaker 1: So what if I did in ninety five? And then
- 44:47Speaker 1: a cloth mask over the ninety five? So most nnette fives,
- 44:51Speaker 1: there's a lot of them, have like a one way valve,
- 44:53Speaker 1: so technically it protects you, but not anybody you're breathing on.
- 44:57Speaker 1: So we the ones we use at the hospital, we
- 44:59Speaker 1: usually we put a mask over that as well. But
- 45:03Speaker 1: that technically won't. I mean, any barrier helps we still have.
- 45:07Speaker 1: I have this, it's a K k N ninety five.
- 45:11Speaker 1: They don't. They don't let us use those at the hospital.
- 45:13Speaker 1: What's the difference between a k N five and a
- 45:17Speaker 1: normal N five. I'm not exactly I'm not exactly sure
- 45:20Speaker 1: what the K stands for, but I know that the
- 45:23Speaker 1: N rating is for it protects against dust and a
- 45:27Speaker 1: bunch of particulates, but not oil. So there's some that
- 45:31Speaker 1: go like, you know, they're like, oh, ninety five or something.
- 45:34Speaker 1: I don't know what the rating is, but they have
- 45:35Speaker 1: a different letter and they protect against oil particulate that
- 45:38Speaker 1: could be even smaller. So danil are you looking up
- 45:41Speaker 1: with the differences all right? Like because I think I
- 45:45Speaker 1: think I was told that this isn't as good as
- 45:47Speaker 1: an N ninety five, but it's a good second best. Yeah, yeah,
- 45:51Speaker 1: oh definitely. I mean, any barrier, especially if going on
- 45:53Speaker 1: in public. The main thing about going on in public
- 45:56Speaker 1: is that your mask isn't for your protection, it's for
- 45:58Speaker 1: everyone else's. So you know those you know, you know,
- 46:01Speaker 1: you see them, the Karens and such out there, they
- 46:06Speaker 1: show you know. I went to Walmart the other day man,
- 46:09Speaker 1: And there was this dude without a mask, and he
- 46:11Speaker 1: couldn't understand why I was staring at him the way
- 46:13Speaker 1: I was staring at you know what I mean. Yeah,
- 46:17Speaker 1: he was like, what the fuck are you looking at? Yeah?
- 46:19Speaker 1: He say, yeah, I didn't say I was with my daughter,
- 46:22Speaker 1: So I wasn't gonna say that, So I just kept
- 46:24Speaker 1: staring at him. I wish people knew that they shouldn't
- 46:26Speaker 1: talk to you like that. Yeah, you know, And there's
- 46:30Speaker 1: there's a few have a certain set of skills, skills,
- 46:36Speaker 1: there's a few things to come from this whole pandemic
- 46:38Speaker 1: that we can at least appreciate. Is that, first of all,
- 46:43Speaker 1: shown some people's true colors, which you know, you know,
- 46:46Speaker 1: including the president himself. You know at the time, he
- 46:50Speaker 1: you know, he showed us who he was and who
- 46:52Speaker 1: he who his followers wanted us to, you know, how
- 46:54Speaker 1: they wanted him to behave in such and so you
- 46:57Speaker 1: see them at the store and wherever would go. And
- 47:01Speaker 1: it's sad that that's the truth, but that's just how
- 47:03Speaker 1: it is. Right And as you know, being in the
- 47:05Speaker 1: medical field or yeah, I mean anywhere really, um, anywhere,
- 47:10Speaker 1: you just gotta I care about others. It's not that hard.
- 47:13Speaker 1: I don't know, it's not hard. I don't think we're
- 47:16Speaker 1: all I don't think we're all programmed to care about
- 47:18Speaker 1: each other. I think some people are you know what
- 47:20Speaker 1: I mean, Some people answer that call, and then there
- 47:22Speaker 1: are some people who only think about themselves. I think
- 47:24Speaker 1: that's you know, and and it's unfortunate, and that's that's
- 47:28Speaker 1: just the way, you know, That's just the way it is.
- 47:31Speaker 1: But I am excited about vaccine being rolled out. I
- 47:34Speaker 1: am excited about Joe Biden's speech saying the goal is
- 47:37Speaker 1: everyone should be able to get access by May one.
- 47:41Speaker 1: He's saying, he's saying, regardless of anything, by May first,
- 47:45Speaker 1: everybody gets a vaccine period Um Daniels sent the thing
- 47:50Speaker 1: through the chat that says and ninety five mass must
- 47:52Speaker 1: pass a rigorous inspection and certification process, which is part
- 47:57Speaker 1: of the cd sees per view, but company making K
- 48:00Speaker 1: and ninety five masks can seek approval from the FDA.
- 48:05Speaker 1: The main one is that the N ninety five masks
- 48:07Speaker 1: have a little bit more strict of rules about how
- 48:10Speaker 1: much breatheability that they have can ninety fives do not
- 48:13Speaker 1: need to meet the same kind of standards for breathability.
- 48:15Speaker 1: I think this is like diet coke and H and
- 48:18Speaker 1: ninety five is coke. And if you're and if you're
- 48:21Speaker 1: no RB and you're going into a patient's room, you
- 48:23Speaker 1: want no. If you're Norhen you're going into a patient's room,
- 48:26Speaker 1: yeah you get. But if you're la tech, if you're
- 48:31Speaker 1: mean you're going to the on a hike, you can
- 48:33Speaker 1: have this piece of shit all right, you're walking that motherfucker. Yes,
- 48:38Speaker 1: I will provide you with breathing. Um, nor can you ask?
- 48:49Speaker 1: Do you have a question for us? And we're back
- 48:51Speaker 1: to two questions because the one question show was not
- 48:54Speaker 1: well received. People were up in up in arms. Really,
- 48:58Speaker 1: you know what, I don't know. I'm on the I'm
- 49:00Speaker 1: in the outside of you. Guys can't do no wrong
- 49:02Speaker 1: because you can ramble. You're not gonna believe this. But
- 49:07Speaker 1: as the show continues to become more and more popular, UM,
- 49:11Speaker 1: there's a lot of opinions. Um, you don't you don't say, Okay,
- 49:21Speaker 1: what's your question sir? So you know I worked twelve
- 49:24Speaker 1: hour shifts when at the end of the day wind
- 49:25Speaker 1: up becoming fourteen almost fifteen hours with drivetime, and you know,
- 49:29Speaker 1: getting ready and all that stuff right um on the
- 49:32Speaker 1: set and you guys were you know, long hours too.
- 49:36Speaker 1: How do you keep from how do you keep that
- 49:39Speaker 1: work life balance? And can you tell me a little
- 49:43Speaker 1: bit about how it was on y'all set with scrubs
- 49:46Speaker 1: and and you know, is there anything y'all have? You
- 49:49Speaker 1: know what, if you didn't do this at the end
- 49:50Speaker 1: of the day, you're definitely gonna have a good day
- 49:53Speaker 1: the next day. We were so young, dude, We were
- 49:56Speaker 1: so young when we were doing this that cost sequences
- 50:00Speaker 1: after Dude, you have the nor I'm gonna tell you
- 50:04Speaker 1: something right now. I saw you sip that from the
- 50:05Speaker 1: fake doctor's real friend's mug. Yeah, norb even has a
- 50:08Speaker 1: fake doctor's real friend's mugs. He's he's really trying to
- 50:11Speaker 1: become our favorite guest. Donald Donald. Donald's got like tears
- 50:14Speaker 1: in his eyes because he can see he can see
- 50:16Speaker 1: both a Boba Fette statue and a fake doctor's mug.
- 50:20Speaker 1: And you know what, and inside I want a little
- 50:22Speaker 1: a little Donald phase on, maybe a little hype phase
- 50:25Speaker 1: on that we go talking my language. I got a
- 50:30Speaker 1: little Sir Edwards, twelve year old in here O Friday Night,
- 50:38Speaker 1: Friday Night, in Texas. Let um, to ask your question,
- 50:43Speaker 1: we where it really does take over your life. Um,
- 50:47Speaker 1: And we weren't complaining because we were so fucking excited
- 50:50Speaker 1: to be on the show and and we love the job.
- 50:53Speaker 1: We were also kids too, so we were on our roof.
- 50:56Speaker 1: We were in our mid twenties and um, and we
- 50:58Speaker 1: were just so thrilled. But that haven't been said. To
- 51:00Speaker 1: answer your question, yeah, I mean we were there of
- 51:03Speaker 1: twelve fourteen hours a day, um, every day, and I
- 51:08Speaker 1: it's very hard to maintain friendships and relationships and with
- 51:13Speaker 1: Donald and uh having kids. I mean that I didn't
- 51:16Speaker 1: have children to worry about, but it would have been
- 51:18Speaker 1: very hard to do it all with kids. I can
- 51:20Speaker 1: imagine it was. It was, it was. It was very difficult. Actually. Um,
- 51:27Speaker 1: it's so you know that part is also about having
- 51:30Speaker 1: somebody who understands what you do. And you're saying, listen,
- 51:32Speaker 1: I'm gonna freaking be gone for a while because I'm
- 51:36Speaker 1: trying to pay the bills. But UM, to answer your question,
- 51:43Speaker 1: I was so I was able to maintain stamina because
- 51:47Speaker 1: I was so young. I don't know if I could
- 51:50Speaker 1: do as much as I did back then, Like I
- 51:53Speaker 1: was married, but I still went to the club, and
- 51:56Speaker 1: I still you know, I still freaking came to work
- 51:58Speaker 1: every day, you know what I mean, when I was working,
- 52:01Speaker 1: and then I tried to do movies during all of this.
- 52:04Speaker 1: You know, I don't know if I could. I don't
- 52:07Speaker 1: know if I could maintain the stats. I don't I
- 52:10Speaker 1: would need a bunch of therapy and a bunch of
- 52:14Speaker 1: h There would be a lot that would have to
- 52:16Speaker 1: be involved, whereas back then I was just running, running
- 52:19Speaker 1: through it. But also keep in mind, you know, back
- 52:21Speaker 1: in the day they would do we would do twenty
- 52:24Speaker 1: two twenty four episode seasons um. You know, that's that's
- 52:29Speaker 1: an intense, uh program. Whereas you know nowadays of a
- 52:34Speaker 1: lot of popular shows on streaming and everything and doing
- 52:36Speaker 1: ten episode seasons um, which is more more and more doable.
- 52:41Speaker 1: I think I don't know that I'd want to do
- 52:42Speaker 1: a twenty four episode a year show at this point
- 52:46Speaker 1: in my life. Norby how old are you men, I'm
- 52:48Speaker 1: thirty four, thirty four, you married with kids, I have
- 52:52Speaker 1: a girlfriend, I have two dogs and two cats. Okay, okay,
- 52:56Speaker 1: so right now the stakes aren't crazy, I you know
- 53:00Speaker 1: what I mean, Like you take care of yourself, you
- 53:03Speaker 1: take care of your animals and take care of your girlfriend.
- 53:07Speaker 1: You can put in the extra work right now and
- 53:09Speaker 1: make that extra money when all of those things, you
- 53:11Speaker 1: know what I'm saying, When all of those things come
- 53:13Speaker 1: back around in the future, like when you have if
- 53:15Speaker 1: you and your girlfriend become husband and wife, and you
- 53:18Speaker 1: guys have kids, it's really difficult to say, by y'all,
- 53:21Speaker 1: I'm gonna go to work, and you know what I mean,
- 53:24Speaker 1: especially if you especially if if you know, everybody says
- 53:30Speaker 1: they understand until they're in the situation. Yeah, well it
- 53:34Speaker 1: would just be clear what you're saying. Obviously, everybody goes
- 53:36Speaker 1: and says goodbye to their kids. You're saying doing these
- 53:38Speaker 1: insane hours where you're never around. Everybody gets it until
- 53:41Speaker 1: they're in it, you know what I mean. Everybody's like
- 53:43Speaker 1: until you when you tell somebody you work fourteen hours
- 53:46Speaker 1: a day, they're like, oh, I can handle that, until
- 53:50Speaker 1: they're in it, you know what I mean. But that
- 53:51Speaker 1: I haven't even said I do. I just have to
- 53:53Speaker 1: put the disclaimer on that. You know, so many people
- 53:56Speaker 1: have to work their ass off at a job they
- 53:57Speaker 1: don't love, and nor you're doing something you clearly are
- 54:01Speaker 1: are proud of and you're you're making a difference in
- 54:04Speaker 1: people's lives, and you clearly I can tell love your job.
- 54:07Speaker 1: And we of course I never had a job as
- 54:09Speaker 1: amazing as Scrubs. There's so many people, so many people,
- 54:12Speaker 1: I'm sure who are listening who are like, yeah, but
- 54:14Speaker 1: I fucking hate my job and I got to do it,
- 54:16Speaker 1: which has got to be so much worse. And yeah,
- 54:18Speaker 1: and I want you to know that we we we
- 54:20Speaker 1: acknowledge that that we were at least doing something we
- 54:23Speaker 1: truly truly loved. Right, So it's it's way easier to
- 54:26Speaker 1: do it. Yeah, all right, Nor what's your next question, sir? Yeah,
- 54:29Speaker 1: well I actually got a few comments about Scrubs. Okay,
- 54:34Speaker 1: So the first thing is right, Um, it was actually
- 54:37Speaker 1: and this is one of my favorite episodes, and it's
- 54:40Speaker 1: a season five episode twelve, I believe my Cabbage and cabbage. Yeah,
- 54:46Speaker 1: and that's the one and only time respiratory is mentioned
- 54:49Speaker 1: and doctor Kelso comes up to private m D answer, Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 54:56Speaker 1: Michael Weston, yeah, yeah, it comes up to and he's like, oh,
- 54:59Speaker 1: let me check on a what's up? And then everyone
- 55:01Speaker 1: dropped the ball and no one checked on him all
- 55:03Speaker 1: night and he's like out, So you know he doctor
- 55:08Speaker 1: Kelso immediately calls for respiratory to get an ABG done,
- 55:12Speaker 1: which is arterial blood gas sample. Will get a sample
- 55:15Speaker 1: from their artery, whether it's somewhere in their arm or
- 55:19Speaker 1: ephemeral artery, and it checks out gases and such um,
- 55:23Speaker 1: so we can assess their respiratory status, how well they're breathing.
- 55:27Speaker 1: Renumber thinking that, I'm like, yeah, you know that. The
- 55:35Speaker 1: only time, the only time we represented what you do
- 55:38Speaker 1: is in one episode, and a great one at that
- 55:41Speaker 1: great one at that well, at least the machines are
- 55:45Speaker 1: always around you see. Yeah. And also there's a lot
- 55:52Speaker 1: of talk about innovating, because I know innovating is challenging.
- 55:54Speaker 1: It's a lot of like, come on, you can do this,
- 55:56Speaker 1: it's an innovation. I remember that. Yeah, Yeah, for sure,
- 55:59Speaker 1: it's definitely something that I mean because the well fun
- 56:02Speaker 1: fact the minute when when somebody goes under, what we
- 56:06Speaker 1: do is we we sedate them enough to where they're
- 56:08Speaker 1: not breathing, so they're literally not going to breathe unless
- 56:12Speaker 1: we breathe for them, and then we paralyze them so
- 56:16Speaker 1: they can't move at all. So when we're putting that
- 56:19Speaker 1: tube and if we if we delay it all we can,
- 56:21Speaker 1: we can we can kill the person somebody. Yeah right now,
- 56:24Speaker 1: what about any emergency situation in the field, Um, like
- 56:27Speaker 1: paramedics and such? There are they doing all that too? Yeah? Yeah,
- 56:31Speaker 1: they're they're the the most underpaid MP's paramedics the most
- 56:35Speaker 1: underpaid because they save lives like crazy. I mean, they intubate,
- 56:40Speaker 1: they do it all. I I have such admiration for well,
- 56:44Speaker 1: for all healthcare workers. But I always I made a
- 56:46Speaker 1: whole show. My brother and I made a pilot about
- 56:48Speaker 1: paramedics and it didn't get picked up, but we shot
- 56:50Speaker 1: it and it was just so exciting, like, um, and
- 56:54Speaker 1: I just find that so's thrilling. But what what I
- 56:56Speaker 1: meant to ask was when they're intubating someone on the
- 56:59Speaker 1: street or in the else or in the field, m
- 57:02Speaker 1: are they taking the time to do what you're saying
- 57:04Speaker 1: as well? Yeah? Yeah, because they yeah yeah yeah, And
- 57:07Speaker 1: but sometimes if um, they don't have that time, Like
- 57:11Speaker 1: there's an episode where y'all are at some food truck
- 57:14Speaker 1: and uh, you have to cut do like a tricheotomy,
- 57:18Speaker 1: yeah right, and put a little straw and then help
- 57:20Speaker 1: the guy breathe like that, like that guy would he did,
- 57:23Speaker 1: It wouldn't matter. He's probably not any feeling any pain
- 57:25Speaker 1: because he's passed out right. So some of the times
- 57:27Speaker 1: EMTs don't have to do anything. They just like the
- 57:29Speaker 1: first unconscious. Yeah. Yeah. Also, I don't know if this
- 57:36Speaker 1: was a joke and it's just like I totally missed it.
- 57:39Speaker 1: But everyone called him the janitor. He was always the janitor.
- 57:43Speaker 1: But at a hospital, we don't have janitors. We have
- 57:46Speaker 1: environmental services, which anybody, we have evs and so like,
- 57:50Speaker 1: because you know, it's kind of rude to call him
- 57:52Speaker 1: my janitor. I think I don't know, I think that's
- 57:54Speaker 1: very twenty I think that's twenty twenty one and not
- 57:56Speaker 1: two thousand and five because I was like janitor, I
- 58:02Speaker 1: remember when it was like, oh no, I'm a custodial engineer. Yeah,
- 58:08Speaker 1: what's funny about janitor? And it happens in this episode
- 58:11Speaker 1: we're talking about, is like Sarah was the first character
- 58:13Speaker 1: to start off just calling him janitor, and like it
- 58:16Speaker 1: was his name Janitor, and then and then in this
- 58:19Speaker 1: episode I do it. I'm like, fucking janitor. He just
- 58:23Speaker 1: doesn't have a name. His name is janitor in this episode,
- 58:25Speaker 1: Elliott the janitor as literally asked Elliott out on a date.
- 58:29Speaker 1: I never thought he freaking stepped out. He wrote the
- 58:32Speaker 1: same thing. I wrote the same thing down Donald. I
- 58:34Speaker 1: do not remember tracking his level of crush on Blonde Doctor.
- 58:38Speaker 1: And this time he literally this episode he asked her
- 58:41Speaker 1: out on a date to coffee. He dresses up in
- 58:43Speaker 1: a suit in the cafeteria and she comes in and
- 58:47Speaker 1: she freaks out and she's like, rut Row, I thought
- 58:50Speaker 1: we're having called, but then he has to explain it
- 58:53Speaker 1: to her. This was the best part of Norpe. This
- 58:57Speaker 1: was the best part of the show to me. When
- 59:02Speaker 1: the janitor praised to God to please give him a miracle.
- 59:07Speaker 1: You know what that is? That's that's that's music Man,
- 59:10Speaker 1: so that his band freaking out sing the Mighty Peons. Yeah, worthless.
- 59:19Speaker 1: I left, I left the worthless, the worthless Beyonce. I
- 59:21Speaker 1: laughed so hard because everybody's been at that moment where
- 59:25Speaker 1: you didn't prepare and you lige your heart out and
- 59:27Speaker 1: you're like, but the fact that he just he begs God,
- 59:31Speaker 1: He's like, did you God, did you not see did
- 59:33Speaker 1: you not notice that the flat of music Man? No
- 59:36Speaker 1: I did not. I did not. At the end of
- 59:40Speaker 1: music Man, Joel is laughing so hard because she's been
- 59:43Speaker 1: there in that moment before where she was like, oh God,
- 59:45Speaker 1: please God. I laugh it because his reaction to when
- 59:48Speaker 1: they start performing and it's good, it's so funny, like
- 59:51Speaker 1: they're singing Barbara Janitor Terrier's faith is just so like
- 59:56Speaker 1: this is really happening. Even even even Um Marty and
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: and and Troy Um are are kind of in shock
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: that they're good. Oh god, that's funny. I forgot what's
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: Marty's character's name. I forgot Marty's characters name. But anyway,
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: they both of both of the the brain Trust guys
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: are both shocked that they're that they're that they're good. Yeah,
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: I thought that. I thought that was I thought that
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: was brilliant because there's been times where I've had to
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: pull it out of my ass and oh yeah, well,
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: I mean working at the working at the hospital, that's
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: that's I mean, it's called practicing medicine for a reason.
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: You know, we don't know everything. We gotta we gotta
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: make sure we we do our best from what we know,
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: and then something's gonna come up that we don't know
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: what to do, so we all got to work together,
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: you know. And yeah, that's that's one great thing about Scrubs,
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: by the way, that that like even more so than
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: the medical accuracy of because no true, no show can
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: truly be you know, truly accurate. Um the feel of
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: what it is to work at a hospital and be
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: part of a hospital staff that like Scrubs totally, like
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: you know how y'all become family and the camarado, right, yeah,
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: all that that's exactly how it is. So y'all be
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: gambling with each other on like you know, whether somebody's
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: diabetes the blood sugar. By the way, Nurse Robberts. Nurse
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: Robberts is trying to give you cookies so that so
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: that your diabetes your sugar number will go up and
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: and and then and then she'll win the pot because
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: she wants what does she want? She's saving up for something.
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: I don't I don't know, but all I know is
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: when I think it's RV, I think it's well. When
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: she realized, when she realizes that that that game is
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: out the window, she's like, damn, now, now I gotta
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: get back and I got to find a way back
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: into that craps game in the basement because I believe that.
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: You know, she's already got her above ground pool, she's
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: laced in that department, and now she wants an RV.
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: Do you all be doing it? You want gambling? She'll
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: be gambling in the hospital. Yeah, yeah, but you know
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: it's it's uh, you know, we don't tell our bosses that,
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: you know, we right do. You'll be throwing dice in
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: the back like after after, afterwards, after after after, Let's
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: take a break. We'll be right back after these fine words.
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: All right, it's time for Texas' favorite segment. Donald, It's
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: time to fix your life? And I get it? Did
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: you you? I don't know, just I thought that was
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: super cool. Gurgle, gurgle, gurgle. Alright from my new pad um,
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: Would you like my sound pads? Working Week was the
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: first episode with the past Yes. Would you like Donald doing?
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: Would you like Donald doing Yoda? Like Cacy saying I
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: love you? No? No, no, Donald doing Yoda? Okay, here
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: it comes made to order. Should I hope this is
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: the right one? Do or do not? There is no try.
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: That's pretty good. That's pretty Dane came over today and
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: uh fixed the pad everybody. So you're well, that was
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: a pretty good yoda. That's fix that, all right? All right? So, um,
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: I have two dogs, like I said, one of them's
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: I think eight months, seven seven a half something like that,
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: and she still goes out and eats her own poop. Yeah,
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: I stop that. It's hard. You know what. I saw
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: an episode of um Um Dog whisper about this. It's tricky.
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: I don't think Donald and I are gonna be I'm
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: out this one. Donald doesn't know and doesn't care um
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: I nor. The only I can tell you is to
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: look on YouTube, because I've saw an episode of Caesar
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: where he handled this. It's it's something I think it
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: might have to do with something missing in their diet. YEA.
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: That doesn't mean that you don't have to get you
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: Probably you are gonna need to get a trainer to
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: help you break the habit if it's persistent. But I
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: believe that sometimes it's indicative of something missing in their
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: diet that they're seeking. Okay, okay, yeah, like no, no,
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: it's like I'd be making it up if I guessed
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: what it was. But it's like a mineral or something
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: that they that they want. But I'm sure that if
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: you go on YouTube, um you'll find dog trainers discussing it.
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: I know I saw an episode of a dog Whisperer
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: where he where he was dealing with it, so you
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: could track down that episode if you want to. Yes,
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: that's really that's really interesting that that's what dogs do.
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: Something's missing in my diet. You know where I might
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: find it? My shit. Dogs really don't mind the smell
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: of shit. I mean, they go smell each other's asshole.
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: The first thing they do is like, let me smell
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: this dog's asshole. Yeah, that's a nice that's a nice one.
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: It's got a nice one. I wonder when the if
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: a dog brain after its smells an assholef it's like, hmm,
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: nice one. I wonder if the dog's like, oh, emfucker
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: had steak last night. I want to hang out with
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: him a little bit more at the dog I take
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: my dog to this dog park and is this so funny?
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: Like the greeting, it's just it's like it's like it's
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: just like the human, Hey, nice to meet you. They
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: just go and both digging each other's assholes. Anyway, Um, Joel,
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: you have a puppy has it been. Has she been
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: eating her poof No, but she's not like and we
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: can't just leave her outside, so we pick up. She
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: doesn't get a chance to eat her poop. She eats
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: literally anything, so I think that given the opportunity, she
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: probably would. I was reading on the American Kennel Club
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: trying to be like, why do dogs do this? And
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: it sounds like because they were scavengers and stuff that
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: they were trying to like hide their markings and stuff.
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: So I don't know if anything on there, But is
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: there anything on there what I'm saying about something missing
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: in their diet? I feel like I've only read the
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: first two pair of Yes. Well, anyway, we can't really
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: help you nor because we don't know, but I promise
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: you can find that on the interwebs and um and
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: I I really recommend so listen. A dog trainer is
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: worth their weight in gold. Just even if you have
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: three sessions with your puppy, you're gonna because most of
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: it's just teaching you what to do, not teaching the puppy.
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: So if you just spend, I promise you it's worth
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: the dough or even if you need to go cheaper,
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: go to a puppy class. And then also you'll become
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: friends with the person and you can text them like
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: my dog trainer when something weird happens, I can just
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: text her and she gets back to me and says, oh,
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: try this. But also one thing also making sure that
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: there's no poop around, Like so if she's out in
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: your yard, you got to pick up all that poop
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: and don't get rid of don't give her the chance
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: to get into poop. All right, you're welcome, you're welcoll Well, well, yeah,
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: you're welcome. I mean, but I mean it's not really
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: we really do nothing for you, but you welcome. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: you're welcome. All right, listen what yes, Oh my god, Donald,
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: why do you not love it? I thought i'd be
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: hearing more weed sounds. I only have bong for now, Dan,
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: any more weed sounds? Okay, okay, Well let you all right,
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: you can stay on nor because you're so delightful. Thank you.
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: We're almost done anyway, and you're a member of the
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: healthcare community, so we extra love you. This was my
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: favorite joke, one of my favorite jokes. I had two
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: really funny jokes that I thought was funny. JD walking
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: down the hall. I was never a good liar. Looking straight, Bruce.
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: That is funny looking straight, Bruce, Nor don't say that
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: to a fellow coworker. You're getting big trouble. I wrote
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: LLL next to that, Donald Lall looking good, Bruce, looking straight, Bruce. Look,
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: now we do the World's most Giant Giant doctor in
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: this episode. It's a stack of Elliott, then Lonnie. I
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: think Lonnie's in the middle. Yeah, Lonnie really hates me.
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: And this This brings us up to the second story. So,
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: first of all, who sewed this coat? I mean, it's
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: a story hot. We never show you that someone is
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: really working hard to make us a typical hospital story.
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: But did you convince to make this surgical? I don't know.
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: Maybe I made Lonnie do it because he's very upset
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: about it. Now, Sarah's Elliott has very strong legs. We
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: learned because she snapps. She can break a cafeteria tray
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: and a half. Yeah, and so she's able to handle
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: Lonnie on top of her and me on top of Lonnie.
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: That's a strong person, right, she got some Not only
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: does she have strong legs, but she has tiny thing
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: I mean strong fingers too. Yes, they're like tiny pie
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: and long toes. Sarah. Actually, if you're a foot person, um,
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: you'll be delighted to know that Sarah has fingered. She
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: calls them finger toes. Oh gosh, she can grab shit
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: with her feet. Yeah, like makeup with her feet. Yeah.
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: Quentin Tarantino would love it. He likes feet. You didn't
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: know that, donal. I usually skipped that part of porn
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: Hubb anyway, Um, oh my god, okay, did you see
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: this video, this viral video of a kid he um,
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: he got on his drum kit in in a high
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: school gymnasium, like it looks like a pep rally, and
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: he started on the drum kit. He played the opening
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: of porn Hub. Oh my god, so good dude. He
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: played the porn Hubb theme song on all high school
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: when girls and boys all started dying, laughing and cheering.
- 1:09:51Speaker 1: That is all barely he got like he got like
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: suspended or something I I would I would imagine that
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: is always fun to do. Listen, next time you're at work,
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: you can do this or not do don't get don't
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: do this. But I always like doing things like this,
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: sitting around and just when it's real quiet going browsers
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: and seeing that it worked, and just seeing who looks
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: up and seeing who looks up. Have you seen these
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: videos where they oh my god, where they go? Can
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: I get ahead? And someone else like far away yells
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: at hell yeah no, oh man, I'm let see I'm
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: on the internet too much. All right, so you are man,
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: I'm gonna tell you guys right now, TikTok, you got
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: my boy, please well release him, to release release Zach,
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: please let him go free to say, I gotta say,
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: there is some funny shit on TikTok. I recently been exploring.
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: I just thought it was fucking kids dancing the fucking
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: stupid dances. But there is some shit that makes me
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: laugh out loud. There's a lot of people being funny
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: on there. Please get my friend back. Every time I
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: send a clip to die, he goes get off of TikTok.
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: And I'm like, you didn't think that ship was funny?
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: What did I say? Either day down? And you laughed
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: your ass off. You sent me that freaking porn hub thing. Dude,
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: that's what you sent me. But anyway, there's some don't
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: go on TikTok. It's like it's like I got off
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: Twitter like another so proud of myself and now I'm
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: looking at TikTok Anyway, Well, you don't have to worry
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: about you know, freaking crazy hatred stuff on TikTok. I imagine, imagine.
- 1:11:24Speaker 1: It's just quick. Well all it is is it's it's
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: like it's like Vine, remember Vine. No, I wasn't. I
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: stayed away from that too. It's just stupid funny videos.
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: And ninety nine percent of it is like you can't
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: believe that people are spending this much time doing this,
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: but then one percent of the time you laugh out loud. Um, okay,
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: what we got a oh if you like mistakes? At
- 1:11:45Speaker 1: thirteen thirty four, Um, there's a rise or a pad
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: riser on a chair. We use those on set if
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: you want to get the person a little bit higher
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: for the shot. And there's a big ass riser pad
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: and I believe it was a Loma nurse rob its chair.
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: But if you're into gaffs, there's one for you, you know,
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: watching this show, I just remember so many faces. I
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: can't put names to all the faces. But we had
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: a lot of background performers who were with us for
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: a really long time, and it's really interesting. You know.
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: Some stayed for a few seasons, some stayed the whole run,
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: and it's really interesting to see all of these familiar
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: faces again. Um I find myself going, oh my god,
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: that's that's all. What's her name? Or what's isn't a union?
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: Do you think? You know? When the when when the
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: pandemics fully over? We should? It would be fun to
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: do a reunion of just like everyone that worked on
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: the show, to get them together. That would be dope, dude.
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: Could we have like, could we have like drinks and
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: and and serve Chateau Brillon too? Yeah we can. I'm
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: sure alcohol would be at the party. Yes, can we serve?
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: Like you know, can we hook it up? Like I
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: want to throw it like a massive party? This is over?
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: Like an out truck. They have this truck in La
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: everybody that that you can get and it's a lot
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: of y'all don't know about in and out. Let me
- 1:13:08Speaker 1: tell you something y'all might not know about in and out,
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: But it's like the best fast food burger. Nor might
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: he might be like water here? He might be water.
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: Oh yeah, yeah, there's thirty thousand, eight hundred and sixty
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: four ways to make water burger. So just saying and
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: it's not even wait hold on, I was about to
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: tell you you can't have this conversation with a Texas
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: person on the phone. But I'm gonna tell you something
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: right now that he has never had. Have you ever
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: had an in and out burger? Yeah, there's there's one
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: on West Side with man, it's on the street. You
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: know though, is that once? Have they asked me for
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: one of onions? Nor? Look what Daniel's doing. He's oh yeah,
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: what is that? The spicy spicy so one and only.
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: This is the best condiment in the game. It's what
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: a burger? Spicy ketchup? Guys, Dann is making out with
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: the bottle. I just want to But what's what's hilarious also,
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: is that all of a sudden it's become water burger.
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: It's the name of the place. Is what a burger?
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: And everybody I never heard of it? Oh, I mean
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: huge in Texas? All right? Well, um, anyway, listen here
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: in La there's in and outs And if you have
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: an event, or you have a party, or you have
- 1:14:18Speaker 1: a set, you can hire the in and out truck
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: to come and make make everything at your location. It's amazing.
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: It's like the most baller thing you can ever have
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: happened on a set, Like, oh my god, they got
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: the in and out truck. I used to think there was.
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: I used to think there was a Crispy cream truck
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: that doesn't exist. Yes, yes, why don't we start one
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: one day? How about Doug playing Texas? Hold them with
- 1:14:41Speaker 1: the cadavers. How about Doug being a freaking weirdo with
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: them cadavers. Dude, Yeah, well he's hanging out with them,
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: He's putting them in funny positions. He's got one holding
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: his drink to keep his drink cold. Oh boy, I
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: don't think that's going on in Norm's hospital. What goes wanted?
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: You know, it's like a room. It's like it's no
- 1:15:05Speaker 1: bigger than like a closet, just to fit, like you know,
- 1:15:07Speaker 1: two two bodies, the more hospital small. So you know
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: that that's the real morgue of this hospital um Norma.
- 1:15:15Speaker 1: And it was always it was not a set for
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: those of you who thought it was a set. That's
- 1:15:18Speaker 1: the real morgue. And I always was so spooked out
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: shooting in there because just the energy was I don't know,
- 1:15:25Speaker 1: kind of like thousands of dead people had been in there.
- 1:15:27Speaker 1: Oh yeah, I got a you know, a little funny story.
- 1:15:30Speaker 1: I was walking by our morgue with another coworker. We're like,
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: is this is where it's said? We don't know where it's.
- 1:15:35Speaker 1: That's it. It's by the cafeteria. I'm like, why would
- 1:15:37Speaker 1: it be by the cafeteria. That's ridiculous. So we're walking
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: around look for it, like I think this is the room,
- 1:15:42Speaker 1: but it was unlabeled, and then all of a sudden,
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: one of the doors near us closes, like all of
- 1:15:45Speaker 1: a sudden, We're like ah, and then we're like, nah, no, right,
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: let's get out of here. And then the next day
- 1:15:52Speaker 1: we're walking by and somebody's putting a body into that
- 1:15:55Speaker 1: room and we're like, oh, shoot, that was it. It
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: was the ghost shut that door on us. You have
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: a ghost in your hospital, you believe? Yeah. Yeah, we
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: thought our hospital was haunted too. Our dressing rooms were
- 1:16:07Speaker 1: old hospital rooms, so I was always like thinking for
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: for so long, like you think how many people died
- 1:16:12Speaker 1: in this room? Anyway, Anyway, I think we did it,
- 1:16:16Speaker 1: but I think we did it, but wait, we just
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: got to talk a little bit more. About um uh, well,
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: I guess we talked about barbarbar bar barber and that
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: was funny. And um oh, there's another little mistake I noticed.
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: If you like Gaffs at eighteen oh two, Troy has
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: a dice tattoo on his neck. That's that's that's clearly
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: being rubbed off by his costume. Got it. So again,
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: if you're into Gaffs, you like to look at us
- 1:16:43Speaker 1: fucking up. Troy's fake tattoo is being rubbed off. Um
- 1:16:48Speaker 1: And I got goose bumps at the end. I thought
- 1:16:52Speaker 1: it was really powerful when everything slowed down the slow
- 1:16:55Speaker 1: motion and JD gets out of his rut of not
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: being able to handle a complex ode and he looks
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: at Elliott and she says breathe, and you see everything
- 1:17:04Speaker 1: slow down. I thought that was really well done. But
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: I yeah, absolutely, And I love the fact that JD
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: now has a true friend, you know, in Elliott, whereas
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: before he felt like he was doing all of the
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: work in the friendship because he was the dominant force,
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: or felt like he was the dominant force. And it
- 1:17:27Speaker 1: turns out she's a better doctor than he is. At
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: this point, you know what's going to happen though they're
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: gonna get back together. He's gonna fall in over there
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: now yeah again again. Yeah, but I like that. I
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: like that too. You know, a woman's success sometimes it's
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: very very scary for the male part of when they're
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: in a relationshiphen a male and a female are in
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: a relationship. For some reason, men have real issues behind
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: a woman being more successful than they are. I don't
- 1:17:58Speaker 1: do that freaking turn to me on so much, man.
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: Ambition makes me it's a line and when and when
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: she's good at you know, um, when she's good at
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: what she does and yeah, and it's a line from
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: a jay Z song. Ambition makes me so horny. That
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: is real talk, dude. That is something special. If you
- 1:18:16Speaker 1: have that drive and you're a go getter, there's something
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: really special about that. And I think that's what I
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: think that's what JD falls in love with Elliott because
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: before he felt like he was supporting her and she
- 1:18:27Speaker 1: couldn't take care of herself. But now she's like, no,
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: I got this under control, dude. I think that. Yeah,
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: And now he's you're right, and now he's gonna be
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: like turned on by that, being like, oh my god,
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: she's like a badass doctor. There's nothing hotter than her
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: talent and her ability. Um, all right, guys, um norb,
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: you're an awesome guest. Thank you, thank you, and thank
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: you for all the work that you do and for
- 1:18:48Speaker 1: for helping all the thousands of people that you help
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: in your in your job, and to all of you
- 1:18:53Speaker 1: out there in the in the health frontline worker community.
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: We thank you and love you and join us for
