- Michelle Harris: Welcome back to Reality Hits Matt. I'm your host, Michelle. And I'm Matt. Today we'll be talking about season two, episode five of Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. Episode five. So we're halfway through? We're halfway through. After this? Yeah, after this one. So it's 10 episodes. Yeah. And then a reunion. Yes. So 11 episodes. Yes. All right. Great. Yeah. Do you want to give a recap of episode four? Sure. Episode four. starts out with Layla and her new boyfriend, Cameron. They've been dating for like four months. They were at the Halloween party together. Yes. They are at a fall festival fair type thing. Yeah. They're hanging out. They're talking about their families and stuff and how Cameron's family is very religious. dad's a bishop. So there's the whole Layla's not as active in the church. Right. Wasn't born. ⁓ Mormon isn't as conservative. Right. ⁓ They're talking about I guess they see a beer stand and and he's like, ⁓ should I try beer for the first time? It's kind of weird. And he's like, it doesn't really intrigue me. And then she's like, well, you were going to try weed. You're going to do a weed gummy. You should do that. And it seems like she's like all for the beer and the weed gummy and all that. And they're talking about just. Like I said, they're families and she's like, do your parents know that you have sex? And he's like, well, we don't talk about that. Just kind of very conservative folks. I think that's all we get out of that. Yeah. It moves on to brunch with Taylor, Macy and Michaela. Yeah. And they're talking about Taylor and Dakota. And they're kind of troubles. And it seems like Taylor is like over him. But then the girls are asking questions and she's kind of not over him. Yeah. Like she's, you know, they're like, what if he were to date somebody else? And she's like, well, that wouldn't be my person. It's like, well, you just said that you don't want to be with him. You need the space. So there's a lot of back and forth there. And I guess they're going to have a therapy session later on. She's not sure if he's going to show up. Yeah. So then we go to Miranda's house. Jen comes over and Jen is asking a lot of questions ⁓ about Miranda's divorce ⁓ and co-parenting. Yeah. And when knew it was time to get a divorce ⁓ and all of that. And it seems like Jen... ⁓ might be asking these questions because she for her for herself. Yeah. To wonder if maybe it's time for her and Zach to split. Yeah. Possibly. So it's a lot of questions. It seemed like you were telling me and lot of like digging into it. And it wasn't just like, ⁓ hey. Yeah. It seemed. Yeah. Seemed like there was some reason behind it. Yeah. And the whole conversation was just. But her feelings with the girls, how she feels unsupported in every aspect of her life. ⁓ In the interview, she keeps mentioning her pregnancy, but obviously she hasn't told Miranda that she's pregnant. ⁓ right, right. So, yeah, there's just like a lot of big feelings there. And she's kind of confused as to like how to navigate. Yeah, the girls aren't giving her support. Her marriage has kind of fallen apart. Same like, guess, where Miranda was. Miranda left. her marriage because of her left mom talk because her marriage now she's her marriage is over now. She's back in mom talk. So and that's why she has so much sympathy Jen. Yeah, because she can see a lot of the same shit that she was going. Yeah. And the one thing going back to the brunch ⁓ that I think we missed that Macy brought up the confession she received. ⁓ right. About about Demi and Brett. ⁓ yeah, it said that someone with Brett while Demi was away. Yeah. And I only bring that up because it gets brought up. Yeah, yeah, no, no. I definitely like was trying to remember that. But yeah, I didn't. Yeah. Didn't remember where that fit in. Yeah. Sorry. No, no, that's fine. I'm not the best at the recap. I need a little help. So you are doing this off memory off of what I've told you off a show you never watched. I think we can give you some grace. All right. As the girls would say. give you some grace. Take some grace from yourself. ⁓ Then we move on to golf with the guys. Yes. ⁓ Zach invites Brett and Jordan out to go golfing. Yes. And wants to talk to them about the whole Chip and Dale's thing. And there's some confusion there because I think the guys were under the impression that Jen knew it was going to happen. Zach. didn't know. And he's like, you guys could have gave me a heads up. And they had said, well, you know, we were just about to fight somebody right before this happened. And it's brought up that chase like touch like hit Demi's leg. And Jordan freaked out. And he's like, that's not cool. Like, you know, you shouldn't touch a woman without consent. And then Zach's like, That's what you guys did to Jen. Like she didn't know this was like this was going to happen. But then they're saying, you know, that they were told otherwise. It was going to happen. And there were some clips. But from what we saw, it just looked like Jen was told that Brett was going to take his shirt off and be a Chippendales dancer. Yeah. She was never told that she was going to be danced on. Correct. And the later on in the episode, the girls are saying that, you know, they did tell her, but then it comes out it was supposed to be a surprise. It's all over the place. Yeah. I don't even know what which way is. up or down on this thing. So ⁓ it sounds like the guys are getting along and they kind of like realize there's a misunderstanding with the wives and they're cool now and they're going to start doing their dad talk stuff. I guess they're like, ⁓ you're to be at the dad talk thing later. And forgot. Yeah. So you were telling me that I guess the girls have some. little tick tock they do and they all turn their heads and the guys are trying to do something similar and they can't do it. Yeah. And it's like they're just failing and they're struggling. And then I guess they finally get it and they're like, oh, don't you can't tell the girls that this was so much of a struggle for us. So. Then I think in the episode, it went on to Taylor and Dakota and he does show up to therapy. And they're just explaining, you know, she's like, you know, you didn't have my back while the fight was going on. I don't really remember what else came out of the therapy thing. Dakota did come around to saying that he is disappointed in himself for not sticking up for Taylor. Right. Right. That's the type of person he wants to be. It seemed like there was a breakthrough there of him accepting that Taylor has a lot to work through. Right. But all he wants is forgiveness. And that's kind of the gist of therapy. Yeah. I think he's kind of wanting forgiveness, like since day one. Yeah. OK. Right. Right. And then we move on to the party. remove the taboo party ⁓ Layla. ⁓ butt cakes. ⁓ throws this? ⁓ throws it to me and ⁓ Jesse throw it for Layla. And it's ⁓ sex lady and she's going to come and ⁓ Layla. ⁓ with her sex life and hopefully have an orgasm someday. guess. don't know. There's sex toys. ⁓ the girls are all dressed in lingerie. ⁓ They pair up and get blindfolded and whip and feather and whatever each other back at swinging parties. Yeah. Yeah. And I guess they're just. Yeah. So. Hopefully this helps Layla out with her. ⁓ Her troubles. said that she figured out that she likes it rough and tough, so. There you go. mean, take that back to what's his name, Cameron, and see how it goes. So good for her. And then I think there's some talk after the party. ⁓ Jen is there at the party. The only person not there is ⁓ Whitney, because she just gave birth. So then after the party, ⁓ Jen ⁓ and Demi, I guess, are off to the side and they're not. Sorry if I didn't explain this right. They're off to the side. It's all the girls just around. You may have explained it right. But OK. So all the girls are just at this counter. Demi ⁓ asks Jen how things are going with her and Zach. ⁓ kind of like prying into their relationship because of the whole Chip and Dale's thing. it's like, she's kind of like beating around the bush and she could have reached out to her previously or all of that. So that's kind of shitty there. And Jen, think kind of shuts down, doesn't want to like talk about it a lot in front of everybody. I mean, rightfully so. She says right now I'm just handling this with Zach. Yeah, I'm like, I don't want to share anything with the girls because. It's it's a she's seen how that's blown up in her face. Yeah, yeah, I mean, yeah, because I think this is where all the girls they were like, oh, it was supposed to be a surprise. Yeah. You you some were like you were told about it. Others like, oh, it's supposed to be a surprise. So it's just it's a whole mess. Like everything is a mess with. her and her husband and her and the girls and it's, she's just trying to deal with all that and figure it out. And then the end of the episode is Macy, is it a dinner or is it a party? Everybody's out at dinner. Everyone goes to a dinner. Okay, everybody goes to a dinner and Macy tells them all about her, she got a book deal. I guess she went through a lot. Her first husband passed away. First boyfriend. she got pregnant at 19. OK, so she has a kid with this guy. He passes away. Her dad gives her a journal. you know, write down all your thoughts and all your struggles in here and maybe it'll help somebody else someday. So that's her book. Yeah, she a book deal. Everybody's super happy for her. You said Demi seems a little jealous, kind of at first she was like, ⁓ yeah, good for you and like taps her. And then like as she keeps talking about it, like her face just becomes uninterested on interesting, like kind of like blah about it. Yeah. Yeah, that seems shitty. ⁓ So then Macy says, know, I confess everything in this book and she wants the girls to all confess. things similar to the truth box. But the girls are going to be writing things of their own in there. Yeah. Putting them in there anonymously and then they'll all read them. Yeah. And there were a couple that we heard. One was ⁓ had sex in five different high school parking lots. Very weird, but all right. ⁓ girl. ⁓ I mean, that's what you like. ⁓ ⁓ Forget the other ones. I know the big one at the very end was it was like, Jen is fake. I think Jen is fake. Yeah. Couple other ones where I'm trying to get pregnant. OK. Another one was my favorite place to have sex is in a pool or hot tub. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. So those were But the big one that he ended on was I think Jen is fake. Yes. And that was kind of the end of the episode there. Yeah. OK. Yeah. And the only thing at that dinner that also came out is that they're all going to go on a girl's trip to support Macy hosting a celebrity pickleball tournament. Celebrity pickleball tournament. So like, what is that? All of this drama is like leading up to like all these girls are going on this girl's trip. Right. So like, ⁓ my God, like this girl's trip is going to be. Yeah. A doozy. Yeah. Yeah. Somebody thinks Jen's fake. You got all this other shit going on. Mm Still have the. ⁓ with the girls and ⁓ husband and the Chippendales. OK, ⁓ ⁓ right, then let's move on to episode five. Tell me about it. So episode five, the book of divisions. Divisions, okay. We're dividing, everyone's dividing Dividing everybody up, all right. So we start off back at Macy's dinner and it picks up with Taylor reading the confession saying, I think Jen is fake and all the girls are in shock. And Macy says, well that escalated quickly. And then Michaela makes a snarky comment saying, Jen probably wrote it herself. I ⁓ definitely saw. what Sylvia was saying about Michaela being very childish throughout this whole entire episode. OK. So yeah, it was not a good look for her. ⁓ Laila is smiling slash smirking, maybe from being uncomfortable, but Michaela is laughing. So OK, I think some people, know, when you don't know what to do. it's like uncomfortable laughter. What do I say? Yeah, for sure. Macy in an interview says she's caught off guard because this wasn't supposed to be malicious in any way. It was literally supposed to those lighthearted confessions. Well, and that's the thing. Macy opened up and gave her confession. Right. So it's supposed to be about you. Right. And so not about you attacking somebody else. I guess if you say, think or I feel maybe you think. But like, no, that is like very shitty. And like, you're starting shit. Yeah. And so Jen starts crying at the table and she goes, I don't know why I'm so emotional. I would start crying, too, if I'm at a table of people like I'm supposed to be supporting. Yeah. she's literally one of the supporters there, because when Macy tells him about this book deal, she like gets up and hugs her. Yeah. And like everyone else is like, saying congrats. But like, you know, she thinks that she's supposed to be there. So I'd be caught off guard. Miranda is telling her to give herself some grace and Taylor agrees with Miranda. ⁓ thinks that if it isn't Demi or Jessi, then they brainwashed one of the other girls to feel the same way. So she says that in an interview. OK. As the girls are leaving, Whitney says, don't forget about Friday baby shower for baby Billy. There will be bunnies there. And some of the girls go like, look like, yeah, I'm not going. ⁓ so she told. She invited everyone. ⁓ yeah. OK. So Whitney is like making this announcement like, don't forget we have the baby shower on Friday for baby Billy. She invited all the girls to go. OK. So even though she just had her baby, she and. tells us later. Oh, sorry. I'm getting mixed up with with Jen Jen. Oh, Jen's pregnant. Yeah, no. Yeah. Sorry. Whitney. This is like a post baby baby show. Yeah. So she says that later on she wanted to wait until after because she didn't know the gender. Oh, OK. And so since this was the last one, she wanted to kind of have like a celebration of life. So that's a weird thing to say. I shouldn't really say it in those terms. was like that's a funeral. like you're you're bringing your last baby into the world. Like like literally they know that this is going to be their last one. Celebration of I guess creating life. Yeah. Yeah. I think you're thinking. don't know. When I hear celebration of life, that's like I get that term normally goes with funerals, but that can also be celebrating bringing in life. OK. All right. Yeah. I don't think that's not uncommon. OK. I've never. OK. OK. Sure. Anyway, sorry, I was getting confused because Jen is pregnant, but she hasn't told the girls yet. Right. So you said baby shower. I'm like, ⁓ shit. When did she tell the girls or is this how she's telling them? Don't forget on Friday. I'm going to baby shower. no, no. Hurry up and get a gift. So a lot of the girls like Michaela and Demi and Layla like kind of like give faces like they're not going. Yeah. Like, OK, great. Good for you. Like, cool. Won't see you there. Whitney and Miranda are in the parking lot comforting Jen as the rest of the girls leave and Jen's crying, saying that she feels like everyone hates her. And Whitney is saying, no, like we don't all hate like that is a small group. Like not all of us hate you. Jen in an interview says that she's here to be a part of mom talk and to be empowered and to gain support. But there's none of that right now. Yeah. she wants to get to the bottom of why these women have issues with her. and what their intentions are. And Miranda tells her, think that it's either Leila Deme or Makila that wrote that. Right. So. We're not sure who did we leave out that. We cut to the flower shop where Miranda joins Whitney and they go flower shopping, baby shower shopping for Whitney says that she's having a baby shower after the baby was born because she didn't know the gender. She says that she invited everyone for mom talk and that she's still making efforts to be accepted back into the group. Whitney asked Miranda, like, I'm very curious who will come to the shower. Miranda says, do you want me to guess who will come? And then Whitney says, why don't you guess who won't come? And hopefully that list will be shorter. ⁓ Miranda says she doesn't think that Demi, Michaela, or Jessi will be there. And she goes, yeah, that's not a shocker. ⁓ still thinks that Layla will come though. ⁓ And so I think she still thinks that that relationship is salvageable. Okay. But we'll see more of that later. More to come. More to come. But here we are. But here we are. Miranda in an interview says that she thinks it's possible that Whitney can move forward with some of these girls, but she needs to prove herself and she needs to show that she's sorry through her actions. Miranda simultaneously is kind of in this similar position with these girls, so she's hoping that the girls trip coming up is a good opportunity for her to get to know the girls more and vice versa. Right. And like get more solidified back into the group. Right. Yeah. Or just in the group, because she wasn't in this original group. Right. Right. Whitney tells Miranda that she's been trying to show her support for Macy more, and she thought it would be fun if they could all get together and wear matching shirts or. do something for Macy at this pickleball tournament. So she creates a group chat with everyone but Macy in it and texts them and says, hey, I've been thinking about cute ways that we could show our support. What about matching t-shirts or body paint? LOL. Let me know your thoughts. They show all these girls in like interviews reading this message and like. Demi is like, I'm going to leave that one on read. Laila is like, yeah, I'm not responding to that. Michaela goes, Michaela's reading it. She goes, I want to do something cute for Macy. And she goes, yeah, I'm sure you do. And then Jesse is like, yeah, no, we're not like I'm not responding to that. And so all of them don't respond. Whitney is getting like uncomfortable that no one's responding. So then she asked Miranda response. So like they're together. And so she goes, ⁓ my God, so fun. Let's do it. And so like Miranda responds to her message. Right, right. And that's kind of where we leave off in this group chat. OK, I am curious because in the footage for the following episodes, it shows them holding up like life size, like heads of the girls, at this. I'm wondering if that's someone else's idea. And then Whitney is going to be like, upset by it. Like, know, like I came up with this idea to do something and then you guys all excluded me from doing that. ⁓ right. Right. I'm trying to show my support and now I look like the asshole that wasn't involved. And like, that's going to be really if that happens, it's going to be really shitty. You guys like I'm going to be pissed. I'm going to be really pissed. This whole episode just re solidified my thoughts about Winnie. Sorry. I know she's not perfect, but no one's perfect. And I think she's handling all these situations in the best way she can. And I'm still team Whitney. Don't know why at this point when these episodes were coming out, people were so anti her. Like, right. Right. It blows my mind. Sorry, guys. I'm sorry. Unless there's something else happening on TikTok, I can't understand it based off these episodes. Yeah, I mean, you weren't on the you weren't on TikTok. I wasn't on the TikTok. Like I'm seeing now I'm seeing all like the passive aggressive. All the dramas coming out on TikTok. So much. It's hard to keep up. Be sure be sure to follow us on TikTok. Yeah, reality hits. It's reality hits M.A.T. while we're talking about it. A lot of of TikToks there. Right. TikToks. ⁓ So go to Taylor's mom's home and Taylor's bringing over baby Ever and her sister's there. So it's Taylor, her sister and her mom. ⁓ Taylor that since therapy, Dakota has been putting in a lot of effort and they've been communicating better, but she needs to focus on healing. Right. Taylor's sister asked where her and Dakota are right now. And Taylor says, well, he came over last night and we made TikToks and all of her friends were giving shit like Taylor. Like, why the fuck are you doing this? Taylor's mom and sister said that they did see those and it cuts to a TikTok. She posted it says life lately at the top. And then it has Dakota handing her like a bouquet of flowers and then cleaning her floors and then doing her dishes and then cleaning her toilet. Interesting. Taylor tells her sister is just a tick tock. It's not that deep. And Taylor's sister says those tick tocks imply that they're together. And Taylor disagrees and says it's just showing that Dakota is trying and cleaning my floors as he should. And I'm like, as he should. I'm like, this is a lot. I'm like, yeah, working on something and cleaning your house are two different things. So like, I don't know if that's really brings flowers. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. OK. She has this thing where like even like right now with like the bachelor stuff, like she'll always like film and take talk and like tease a guy being there, but it doesn't show you who it is. So it was like one of those where it's like he hands it to her like off screen. So like all you see is his arm. Yeah. And then she takes it. So it's like I'm sure that's what she posted. And then like another one of him cleaning her house. Right. Right. Yeah. Interesting. Taylor says that they're working through things and they aren't living together. They aren't going on dates and they aren't hanging out much outside of him seeing his son. And then Taylor's sister point blank asks, are you guys having sex? Because that's going to confuse him. And Taylor goes, yes, but that doesn't change anything. Taylor in an interview says that when she's intimate with him, she feels nothing and she just kind of shuts it off. Apparently, Dakota calls Taylor the dude in the relationship because after he will want to cuddle and she'll tell him to leave. ⁓ So clearly, yes, that is leading him on. That is giving him the wrong impression, like especially when you're able to shut off your feelings because you're going through a response of something like they're feeling something. So it's not a two way street that you're both going to feel the same way that you do. Yeah. Taylor's mom and sister like really push back on the fact that she should not be having sex with him to the point where phrases it in a way that saying, what if it was Indy, her daughter? Like, what if she came to you saying that she was doing this? What would you tell her? And Taylor says that she would explain that she's been in her shoes before, but what she's doing isn't going to make her feel better and it's going to become 10 times shittier. And so Taylor's mom goes, then why aren't you taking your own advice? Yeah. Which Yes, that's a that's a theme in life that like people don't take their own advice. Like you can give great advice and not take it. Taylor thinks that her sister and mom have a point and If she doesn't make a change, then ⁓ she'll break this unhealthy cycle. Yeah, for sure. So she's definitely left sitting thinking about this and Taylor's sister kind of ends it with if you're not even going to do it for you, ⁓ then it for your son. Like. because this isn't healthy for him to see this relationship unfold while he's growing up is not good for him. Yeah. So she's definitely left thinking about a lot there. It goes to Whitney driving and Whitney is calling Macy. Whitney tells Macy that she's trying really hard to be better at saying things head on instead of letting things boil up. She tells me that she saw the video that Michaela made. Whitney in an interview says that she's putting ⁓ food the table for that girl. She's like, I'm just putting food on that table for that girl because Michaela is making video after video after video about Whitney. ⁓ really? That's blowing up. It shows TikToks that Michaela has been making. One of them with the caption of just a reminder that if things ever get hard, you can always leave the group chat. And she's like just twirling around like outside. Another video. I haven't been getting enough attention from my friends lately, so I thought I would try setting boundaries and move away, too. And it's her in a plane with her children. ⁓ my ⁓ ⁓ one says, are cast in all of their problems and it has. ⁓ some of the girls like walking in through a door. think it was like to me, Jesse, Taylor and Leila. And they like look like they're about to like handle business, like, you know, like walking in like I'm here to like handle my business. Yeah. And then it cuts to a video that Whitney posted of herself pregnant. And then it just says Whitney at the top. Whitney doesn't know how to be held accountable. A little dilulu and like clips in her own video. ⁓ my God. I'm sorry. That's absolutely asinine from a girl that's like, I don't care about you. You clearly fucking do. Yeah, definitely. Your sister dressed up as her for Halloween and you it was the greatest fucking Halloween ever. I don't care how much someone has hurt me. If I'm truly over it, I am not bringing you into my day to Yeah, move on. You are so hyper focused on Whitney. and posting videos about her. Whitney's living rent free in her head. Right. And it's like, that's why she's like, I'm putting food on this girl's table. It's content. It's getting likes. Yes, it's going to play into that. if you were so like, am over it and Whitney thinks everything is about her because you're making it about like you made it about her. Move on. So the next video and this is why she's calling Macy. It's with Micaela and Macy. And the caption says when people expect the same version. of us after playing with us. And so Whitney tells me see that this is creating a narrative online where me and you aren't friends. Right. But I think we are friends. So I'm calling you because I thought we were moving in the right direction. And then I see this video being posted. Right. you it. And so she goes, Macy, I understand why Jessi and Demi and Michaela are all in these videos, but the fact that you are in it changes the narrative. Macy then tells Whitney that she doesn't know what Michaela is going to write on the videos. Oh, she's there making videos with her. then she's like, she just tells me we're going to do this trend and to act like this. And then I don't know. The trend is shit on Whitney. So Whitney goes, I understand if you if that happened once, but it happened multiple times. OK, so you know that she's doing this. You the first one. You the first one. Another one. And cuts to a tick tock of Macy Michaela, Jessi and to me. And it says us after leaving the group chat and they're all like making faces. ⁓ Macy tells Whitney that she understands where she's coming from. But like she and she will try to like be better about asking about what this product will be. And Whitney tells Macy that she thinks she just needs to have a conversation one on one with Michaela before they go on this girl's trip. Macy says that she'll see if Michaela is open having a conversation with Whitney. ⁓ And Whitney in an interview says she truly does not understand why Michaela dislikes her so much. And mom talk comes from a place of love and unity. And that's clearly not what's happening. Right. Right. Like Whitney's confused, it's like what she did so terribly to Michaela and she wants to talk with her. Macy's kind of caught in the middle of all of this, but Macy's caught in the middle because she's been in these videos. Right. And so now Whitney just wants to talk to Michaela. So we cut to a Pilates class and Demi and Jesse are going to a class together. Jesse says that she truly only works out twice a year. So maybe it's just good genetics, but she keeps, but I keep pretty active in the bedroom. So maybe Jordan is the reason for these good legs. After they do like probably like a minute worth of working out, they stop and then they're just like slide. They're just like sliding on the Pilates thing. And Jesse and Demi talk about when he's baby shower coming up and how they're both not going. Jesse then tells Demi her and Jordan want to host a hibachi dinner that night for the people not going. Okay. They then start talking about the girls trip coming up. Demi ⁓ says she's apprehensive about the because of how the last two went. Right. Demi says that Whitney has tried to reach out, but she's not ready to hear what Whitney has to say and cannot trust her right now, which she later on will get to another comment she makes where she contradicts this comment. So, all right. She says between this and Jen's lies, she doesn't want to be with these girls during this weekend. OK. Jesse asked me if she knows who wrote the. note about Jen that dinner and Demi says no. And they kind of both seem like they were thrown off by that note. Were they? They were. OK. Demi says that Zach called her earlier and apparently talked about everything from Chippendales to the Ben Affleck thing. And they were on the phone for 45 minutes. Zach called Demi. Demi. Yeah. OK. ⁓ she was like. and Zach was like. I, to Jordan about it ⁓ and, know, is telling me that you told Jen ⁓ and I Jen knew a fact and to me is like backing up. Like I told Jen she knew something was going to happen. ⁓ Yeah, she know everything, but like, yeah, I told her there was going to be surprises and then it cuts to the Ben Affleck thing and he goes, I keep telling her to stop telling people because I guess she was like going on podcasts and like telling people that she was related to Jen Affleck. So. ⁓ It was more than just the one comment in the show. It was like a bunch of different times. So like to me and Jessi are like really hung up with like, if you can lie about this so wholeheartedly when your husband's telling you to stop, what else can you lie about? Right, right. OK. So Jessi thinks that Jen is literally a pathological liar. And Jessi tells me that she has to do her hair tomorrow. She's like, I don't know what I'm going to do. Like I have to do her hair tomorrow. Like what am I supposed to do? Like stand there for three hours while I'm like doing her hair and like we're fighting with one another. Like that's going to be so uncomfortable. So she's like, I don't know what to do. Like I'm just going to have to deal with it head on and then see if like I need to switch out like another stylist. Like maybe I'll do that. So Jen's Airbnb, Zach and Jen are talking about how Jen is feeling. thinks it's very ironic that she chose Mom Talk over Zach when the whole like like medical school. Right. And now Mom Talk screwed her over. So she's like, it's. Yeah. Should have just stayed with Zach. ⁓ So Zach asked Jen if she even wants to be a part of MomTuck anymore. And Jen says that being part of MomTuck is a huge responsibility because they're trying to influence the world. Influence the world. Zach's not really feeling this and asks what they're trying to influence. And she says, we're trying to empower women. And his response is, all you guys do is shit all over one another. How empowering. I agree with it. He's got a point. He's got a point. Zach thinks the fact that Jen comes home every single time after hanging out with these girls crying, it's not worth it. Jen says it's hard because MomTalk has been like has so much potential. And Zach does agree with this. Like he understands that this has reached millions of people and understands that there is a potential that you guys could do good. But like he doesn't see it. And no, not with all these. He brings up the fact that she couldn't even sleep last night and had a panic attack. And he goes, how is that good for you? Like, this isn't good for you. Jen finally agrees and says right now it's really important for her to take rest for herself because she's pregnant. But she thinks that she does need to confront these issues head on before she can take a step back. Right. OK. So she plans to reach out to Jesse. OK. She tells Jesse. I know I have my hair appointment tomorrow. Can we meet up instead outside of the hair salon so we can have a conversation? Like I don't feel comfortable sitting there while you do my hair. Like, let's just go talk. So they meet at a dessert and coffee shop called the dessert collective and Jesse shows up first ⁓ and sits and she's like, I'm glad that she wanted to do this because I didn't want her sitting in my chair for multiple hours while we're potentially yelling at one another. Zach is driving Jen to this confrontation and Jen is going off saying they poked the bear. They don't know what they have coming. They haven't seen the other side of her. She was raised in the hood. Catch me outside. How about that? Zach's like uncomfortably laughing and he's like, you were. Born in Bravo, Utah. And she goes, yeah, but I was raised in the hood. Hey, it's like, I, she got out of the car too. Like I'm here and like slams the door shut. She was like standing. It was like really uncomfortable for me to watch. like, Oh my God, John, this is not the vibe. This is not the vibe. Just go in and be an adult. So Jen, she's walking in. in an interview says that she wishes Demi was here as well because she feels like Demi is equally responsible for everything. But when Jesse and Demi are together, they just team up. So she's going to start with just. ⁓ right. Yeah. Yeah. You don't want them both going at you. Yeah. Definitely want to have. Yeah. Just the one. Yeah. Anyway, so Jen starts the conversation by saying, I want to take accountability because I know I suck at confrontation, so that can come off a little too faced. OK, she ends her accountability there. There's no example that she wants to bring up about how this happens. I think I would follow it up like I meant to or I should have confronted you for X, Y and Z. probably would have started off her argument a little bit stronger. She just jumps in and says, but just need to ask you, when have I ever intentionally hurt you in our friendship? ⁓ so Jessi's like, where is this coming from? Like ⁓ do you mean by that? know, like that's a weird question to start the fight with, you know? Like it's just like a very aggressive way to start a conversation. Jen says you continue. to bash me and Jesse says yes, because of the things I want to talk to you about. So Jesse wants to bring up the fact that Jen's been lying like, yes, I, I bash you like I made fun of you for the Ben Affleck thing with my Halloween costume because you kept lying about like, know, OK, yeah, yeah, like, yes, I've done that. It's like I'll hold accountability, but like I want it like, let's talk about it. Like, I think that's what Jesse meant by this. Jen says it makes her question Jessi's character. At this point, Jessi laughs and says, OK, well, let's talk about character because that's something we need to talk about because you're the liar here. Jen confronts her about the Chippendales and how Demi did not tell her about flying in a Chippendales dancer and how they would be dancing on her. Jessi says Demi said to Jen there are things I want to keep a surprise and Jen apparently told them absolutely I understand go for it. love it. So they did say to her there are aspects to this we want to keep a surprise but Brett is going to show up. He is going to be in Chippendale's outfit and there will be a performance. Yeah, but I mean, that's a bit of a surprise there to have your friend come up and sit in a chair and get danced on by your husbands. So Jessi's stance is that based off what Jen told them about their therapy, they thought that they would be fine with all this because they've talked about going to Chippendales to get exposure therapy. So they were going to go to Chippendales to get exposure therapy. Let's just bring Chippendales to us. So they were like, let's do this like with our version of it so then we can all move on. Like they thought it was closing a chapter of this book. So Jesse then says, when you go to Chippendales, like they put your hands on their ass like that's how like this. This was not that like this. This was much milder, which I agree with what the footage that they showed. Like it was very more mild than. getting their hands put on their butt. But it's also strangers. It's not your friend's husband. Yes, I think from both sides, think from both sides there things that are wrong, but I think that with a little communication between all of them, this could have been solved. So that's my point. So Jen says that what to me explained was lighthearted, but what actually happened was disrespectful. OK. This is when I thought about her, though, sitting in the chair during the performance. Like, I thought back to this performance and she's in the chair, like with her arms in the air, like dancing. ⁓ OK. So. A lot of to me was a reaction to how your husband handled it after. And then you chose to change your experience with it because in that moment. Maybe if you had looked so uncomfortable, then maybe they would have stopped. Right. Or maybe if you said no or like you're like, you guys, I don't like this. But you were sitting in the chair, bouncing up and down, dancing and like fake slapping someone's butt in the air, like acting like you liked it. So was it really that disrespectful? Because that was your if her husband didn't like it. So now she's like, right. Like if I felt disrespected, I would look pissed. sitting there like uncomfortable or I'd be like I'm getting up I'm leaving I'm not sitting here through this so that just it that did cross my mind when I was like listening to this ⁓ Jessi asks what would have been lighthearted in that situation and Jen goes they were literally grinding on me and Jessi goes if you go to Chimman Nails they put your hand on their ass so like it's a lot worse than just being grinded on Jen says ⁓ she would have never given her consent for Jordan and a stripper to dance on her. Jessi says clearly there's a lot of lies going on ⁓ and that's makes her judge Jen. because if she's willing to lie about being related to Ben Affleck, what else is she willing to lie about? So that she just throws that in like as a grenade. Jen thinks that they're trying to nitpick on anything to put her down. And it's just straight up bullying because Jen's like, what? Like, that's what I was told for six years. And she goes, well, your husband's telling us that he's told you to stop because that's a lie. And you're going on podcasts saying this. Right. It starts escalating like full on yelling match in this bakery. And these poor employees like at one point during this, guys, an employee had to come deliver their hot chocolate. And so they stopped fighting and to get their hot chocolate. And they're like, thank you. And then they just like full on go back. I'm like, I wouldn't have brought it. I would have been like, your hot chocolate's ready. And then I went. So it starts escalating into this yelling match and it ends with Jen yelling that she did not give consent Jessi's husband to rub his little dick on her. ⁓ Jessi goes, he did not rub his dick on you. And she goes, she keeps yelling, I know your past I know your past And then Jessi goes, okay, what's my past? And then Jen goes, if you're asking us to swing with you, the answer is no. And she goes, and I'm done with this conversation. And she gets up and leaves. And that's how that ends. ⁓ boy. So if you thought that was a lot, we roll right into and Michaela. OK, so ⁓ boy, starts with Macy and Micaela in a car driving to go get coffee slash pastries at Sunshine Buns. ⁓ They're talking about the name and Micaela's like, ⁓ I've never been to Sunshine Buns. Sunshine Buns. go. So Macy says there's no better time than when we're five minutes away to tell you that when he reached out, she wants to talk to you. She's waiting for you there. OK. And Michaela Michaela's like, let me out of this car. ⁓ She's like, absolutely not. ⁓ Mikaela in an interview says that her and Whitney were really good friends for two years and people didn't get the full context of why they had a falling out. She said it all started in Park City and she felt like she was being left out of the group, which I did note during that Park City trip that Mikaela was very distant during all that drama with Whitney because they had been so close and. like when they were all fighting, Michaela was on the bed and like Layla wasn't really involved. And I'm like, that's really interesting that Michaela wasn't in the middle of all of that. But I thought maybe that was just her personality of like, I'm just not going to get into someone else's drama. Right. So apparently there was more to that. And she said that she felt like she was being left out of the group and it shows a tick tock and it's Michaela's tick tock. And she goes, my friends told me we were meeting at five. I showed up two hours early and I saw this and ⁓ camera flips and it's all the girls like already there filming TikToks. And so she. felt like and was insinuating that Whitney was like the orchestrator of all of that. And left her out. And left her out. OK. Michaela says she was going through a lot with her chronic illness and she had a lot of conversations with Whitney about it. And Michaela felt like Whitney was her and turned it back on her saying, well, you're doing X, Y and Z. Like, so you're going to feel this way. Like, you've got to change what you're doing. Like all this stuff. So OK. ⁓ This is coming just straight from Michaela and Whitney doesn't ever like they don't ask her about it. Michaela, I feel like this would be the time to bring it up to confront Whitney. Yeah. And Michaela doesn't do that. So Before we get into the sunshine buns, Michaela comes up with a plan that she's going to call Macy and Macy will be in the car and Macy will like put herself on mute. And if Michaela says the word sisterhood, Macy needs to come in and get Michaela to leave. OK. So it's like a safe word. Yeah. I say the word sisterhood like you to come and get me. Shit's about to go down. So they sit down and then Michaela just goes, hold on. I got to make sure Jase is picking up the kids from school. She like pretends that she's texting and she calls Macy. Right. She stupidly puts herself on mute. So Macy gets in the car. anything. And she's like, why can't I hear anything? Because I think that Macy. So she doesn't know what the fuck is going on. That's funny. OK. So Whitney asked Michaela if she can elaborate on her problem with Whitney. And Michaela says she doesn't really have much more to say, but that she wants to know why Whitney wanted to talk. And Whitney tells Michaela that she cares about her and wants to know how they can move past this. And Michaela says that she doesn't care to have a friendship with Whitney and she doesn't want to have this conversation, which is kind of what Whitney did to Taylor. So like. Yeah. OK. Got to take that with a grain of salt, then ⁓ Whitney says that she wants to move past this and Michaela goes, then move past it. And Whitney says, well, it's really hard to do. And every time I open the internet, you're making blatantly explicit videos of me. Right. Yeah. And Michaela says, okay, then don't look at my stuff. I don't follow you. I don't follow you. So you went on to Whitney's page when she was pregnant. ⁓ to pull the video from it, to use it, to use it in your own TikTok. That's what that just told me. That's petty as fuck. Whitney says that it's on her For You page because it just pops up. because it's about her. So people are either tagging her in there, like, you know, like it's in her universe. Michaela says Whitney is delusional and that Whitney thinks everyone's coming for her. Michaela, you're delusional because you are coming for her. Like, so Whitney at this point goes, you're harassing me. Like you're like you're harassing me. Like this is what harassment is. And Michaela's like, no one's harassing you. Did you just hear what I said? No, you are harassing her. You're literally using. her drama to make your videos better. You're coming at her. It's very clear that who is it's about. It can't be about anyone else. Well, when you use parts of her fucking TikToks in your own TikTok. I'm like at this point, I'm like, Michaela, you lost all my sympathy with like your backstory, why you hate her. Like you you. This is is petty. Yeah, this is petty. This is petty. Like if you really want to be the bigger person and Whitney was gaslighting you, which is terrible. If Whitney was excluding you, which is terrible. Let that stand on its own and then just like let her be like, don't play into that. Like it's ridiculous. It's ridiculous. So she goes, it's harassment. And then Michaela goes, if you feel like that, then you need to come to me. And Whitney's like, what do you think I'm doing right now? do you think I'm doing right now? What do you think I'm doing right now? And then Michaela thinks that all Whitney did was put Macy in the middle of this conversation. She goes, no, you didn't reach out to me. You called Macy. Right. A, would you have answered Whitney's text or call? And B, Whitney goes, no. I asked her why she was in your video, which is true. Right. Right. I didn't reach out to be like, can you orchestrate this this conversation? I reached out because I was mad at her for being in your videos. Right. Michaela then goes on a rant about sisterhood. Her safe word. And so she's like, she's on mute. She goes, well, you know. Mom talk is about the sisterhood and you removed yourself from that. And I just don't know where you think that the sisterhood should go. And she saying it over and over again. it like three times in an interview. She goes, I'm three sisterhood deeps. Where is this fucking girl? And Macy, it to Macy in the car and she's like sipping her water and just like scrolling through her phone. So finally they end the conversation with that they're going to be cordial in group settings. But Michaela doesn't want to be friends with her. OK. And then she gets in the car and she was like, where were you? And she was like, I couldn't hear anything. She said, I put myself on mute. And she's like, yeah, you ding dong. ⁓ That's awesome. Cuts to Taylor's house and Dakota's coming over to discuss their relationship and where it goes from there. OK. Taylor tells Dakota that things haven't changed since he ⁓ moved out a ago. ⁓ And she says she wants a chance for ⁓ like the thought of them, but wants what's best for their family right now. And that means that she has to put her family first and take a step back from the relationship. Dakota's very upset. He starts crying, but he does agree with Taylor. Dakota tells Taylor that he still wants her and no one else. Dakota says. It's hard because they both come from very broken places and they both hurt each other. Yeah. In an interview, he says that every pinpoint Taylor has, he activates that for her. So he pushes her buttons. Yeah. He wants what's best for her right now. And if that means taking a step back from her, he'll do that. But he is just really concerned about his relationship with his son now. And so they agree that Taylor will still keep ever on nights. But Dakota struggles with that because he feels like he's missing on his son and he hasn't had to deal with this like co-parenting. Yeah. Relationship. And Taylor is like, yeah, it's it's hard because I mean, she's co-parenting to other children with her. Right. Right. Yeah. We go to Whitney's baby shower and Whitney is getting dressed up. The post baby baby. The celebration of the celebration of life. So Whitney is getting ready. Her mom's there. Her sister, Connor Whitney has bunnies there and her mom's like, I don't understand why you have bunnies here. And Whitney in an interview explains that because she will have baby Billy there. She knew people would want to come and hold him. But since he's so newborn, she wanted to have something cute and cuddly for people to like hold and be distracted by. So she brought the bunnies instead. OK, which I mean, good idea. might have maybe gone for like an adoption shelter with dogs or cats, like, so then people could maybe adopt animals. Instead of really smelly bunnies, feel like bunnies in a closed area are very smelly, which her mom says that she goes, bunnies smell. Jen, Taylor, Macy and Miranda show up. As Whitney and Jen are talking about who will be there, Whitney brings up that she would be shocked if Leila didn't come. And Jen says, I don't think she will be here who wrote the note. Oh, shit. So Macy told Jen that Leila was the one that at the hibachi party. OK, ⁓ Jen, in an interview says that she doesn't think Layla was trying to tear her down. She thinks that Layla just really wants to fit in with the group because some of the most vocal girls were having these opinions about her. Jen says that she's done with them and she's done going to Jizz Styles to J.C. Styles. Jizz Studio. Taylor says that she came because she's trying to be the best version of herself, and that means she doesn't have to be petty. She feels like the other girls didn't come because are being petty. Right. Whitney says that she's not surprised that Taylor showed up because she feels like they have been really trying to rekindle that friendship. Like Taylor went over after the baby was born. Yeah. You've seen some clips with them. So they've been pretty cordial with one another. Yeah. Sarcastically. And I could tell it was sarcastic. She goes, I would have been pissed if she didn't come. ⁓ I would have my mom. call her and ask her why she didn't come. It was a joke, guys. was pretty funny. And you could tell that when he was like kidding, she was meanwhile, the rest of the girls are going to the botching night at Jessi's. Demi says that this trumps a baby shower all day long. And Jordan then asked the girls, ⁓ you guys didn't want to go to support. And Demi says, support what? The baby is here. And I was like, yikes, that's a strong comment. So hold on, hibachi night, is that like them? on like their Blackstone or did they like bring in one of those hibachi chefs where they cook in front of you? Yeah. So Jordan's. Oh, they brought in like the. OK. Jordan's friend owns like a new hibachi company that they bring and they like set up in front of like. yeah, yeah. I've seen. I've seen. Yeah. Yeah. So he did like the fire and everything. OK. Catching shrimp in their mouth. did he do the onion volcano? They didn't show that. But they showed them trying to catch shrimp in each other's mouth. And like all the girls could do it except Leila got like hit straight in the forehead. So. ⁓ And to me goes, this is not indicative of what I can do with my mouth. And she like catches it sitting down like Jesse and Michaela had to get up to like, okay. right. To me, just like went and snatched it. so Michaela goes, I wonder what they're doing at the baby shower. ⁓ probably milking cows and then this is really funny. It cuts back to the baby shower and they're all holding bunnies. Demi announces to the group that she doesn't mind Whitney at this point, honestly, is Jen. Okay. So that's opposite of what you said earlier where you said, I don't trust Whitney. I'm not ready to hear her out. Now you're saying that you don't mind Whitney? ⁓ pick. Yeah, then why you go to her baby shower? Baby shower. Yeah. Well, Jen, sir. Jesse says Jen is her new Whitney and it's her Roman Empire. And Jesse says that there's so many lies at this point, she doesn't know it's true. Brett agrees and says that the lies are so outlandish, so like how do you decipher that? And Michaela says, makes sense that Whitney and Jen are getting so close because delusion likes company. ⁓ We end back at Whitney's baby shower and Taylor is asking Jen what her issues are with Jessi and Jen brings up the fact that Chippendales was so sensitive of the topic and that Jessi exploited that. And then Taylor goes, then what's your issue with Demi? And Jen brings up Italy and how she was playing truth or dare with a bunch of single men. Taylor asks, well, did she kiss them? And Jen goes, one of them kissed her on the cheek. Taylor in an interview says that she does feel like sits on her high horse and looks down at all the other girls. Right. And it cuts like a montage of her calling Taylor white trash and like some other items like that. says she would never defend Chase for anything, but she does feel like she threw Chase touching her out of proportion. Yeah. And that was a little bit much to get bread all worked up to that point, which I do agree with. did say that in the. Yeah. Yeah. When we recap that, Taylor says she was always prying at them and their issues and trying to get into the details of their relationships. But she doesn't share a damn thing about her life. Yeah. Taylor wants her to open up that lens and let's see what her life is like. Right. Right. And. This seems to be a pretty big consensus, because at the end, like Whitney says, you know, like this is going to be an interesting girl's trip. Like I left off on a really bad foot with Michaela. Jen and Jesse should not be in the same room together. And to me, I should be really careful about who she comes with, because we all know she has skeletons in her closet. So it seems like a lot of the girls know some stuff about to me that she's not really willing to share. But if she's going to start coming after people, like they're going to like be like, right. So what about you? Yeah. What about? about this bullshit. Taylor then asked Jen, well, did you ask about the confession that you received about Brett? And then Jen's like, what confession? Like Miranda's confused and Macy looks like, let's not like she's like, no, like, let's not bring me into this. Like, I don't want to be involved. And all the girls are floored when Taylor tells them about the confession. ⁓ shit. And Brandon's like, that's messy. That is messy. Taylor says that people are digging into her relationship, into Jen's relationship, and Jen has every reason to have the ammunition to fight back, which is why she told her about this. So she's like, if people are gonna come after Jen, then Jen has every right to like know everything and to use that how she wants. Yeah, absolutely. We go back to Hibachi really quick and Demi says that Jen tries to come back below the belt, let her, I will make her look like such a fool. So the girls are amping up for this girl's ⁓ boy. And that's where we end. Interesting. Yeah. What happens next week? Was there a preview of next week at the end? There was a lot of previews. Was it crazy? It went from like the girls trip to them confronting one another to another truth box coming up to to me yelling at Taylor's mom saying that I have no sympathy for her and she needs to be a grown ass woman and be a better mom. OK. Taylor's mom is crying to it. Yeah, it's like a whole montage of shit that's about to. Like can't wait. Yeah. So there was a lot in this episode. A lot of there was a lot in this episode. I tried to like condense it my recap next week, but I'll give it. I'll give it my best. I really tried to like make it as like precise as possible, but there was a lot to cover because like we touched on literally every single toxic relationship like we touched on this week from Taylor and Dakota. Jessi, Demi and Jen to Mikaela and Whitney to like like we touched on all of that. So yeah. Well, I guess we'll pick it back up next week with episode six. Yeah. I'll struggle through my recap feel too good. And we'll go from there. So thanks, everybody, for listening. Follow us on Instagram at reality hits Matt. It's really hits M.A.T. Same on Tick Tock.
