Transcript
- 0:12Speaker 1: Hey everybody, welcome to Pink Shade. It's Thursday. It's a
- 0:15Speaker 1: Pop and Bravo episode. We're going to talk about pop culture.
- 0:18Speaker 1: We're going to talk about Bravo. If you're watching on video, um,
- 0:23Speaker 1: Ignore the super red face. I told you guys I
- 0:26Speaker 1: got like a skin peel and it did its job.
- 0:29Speaker 1: I got my money's worth. All my skin will be
- 0:32Speaker 1: coming off, but right now I look like a sunburn.
- 0:35Speaker 1: But that's either here or there. I'm just explaining if
- 0:37Speaker 1: you're watching on video. I am here with two people
- 0:40Speaker 1: that I believe I broke their video cherry. And that
- 0:45Speaker 1: is Corey and Carly of Surviving Reality.
- 0:48Speaker 2: I think we're right up in there. Yeah.
- 0:50Speaker 3: I was going to say it's true. You pressured us
- 0:52Speaker 3: into it and we did it.
- 0:54Speaker 2: It was the right amount of pressuring, though. Yeah, it
- 0:56Speaker 2: was good. It was good.
- 0:57Speaker 1: I was just like, if you don't want to be
- 0:59Speaker 1: on video, it's fine. Just let me know. Now, if
- 1:01Speaker 1: that was pressure, then it hasn't worked on Kim of
- 1:05Speaker 1: Cray Cray yet. It hasn't worked on Kim of Cray
- 1:07Speaker 1: Cray yet.
- 1:08Speaker 3: Easily peer pressured over here.
- 1:10Speaker 2: Didn't take much. Yeah, we were kind of on the
- 1:12Speaker 2: cusp there at the time.
- 1:14Speaker 1: People were like, wait, Corey and Carly are showing themselves?
- 1:16Speaker 1: I was like, yeah. Yeah, I guess so. Yeah.
- 1:19Speaker 3: We still get comments about that. It's been a while.
- 1:21Speaker 3: It's been like over a year. Yeah.
- 1:23Speaker 2: And still people are like, oh, my gosh, this is
- 1:24Speaker 2: what you look like.
- 1:25Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:26Speaker 2: Yeah. Still happening, I guess.
- 1:28Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:28Speaker 1: And you're like, look how cute we are. We're so cute.
- 1:33Speaker 3: Everyone's been very nice.
- 1:34Speaker 2: Very nice. That helped. Yes. Yeah. Yeah.
- 1:38Speaker 1: Um, do you, is your little studio in your, just
- 1:40Speaker 1: in your house?
- 1:41Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah. It's just down in the basement set up.
- 1:44Speaker 2: So yeah.
- 1:45Speaker 1: It looks like a cavernous professional studio.
- 1:49Speaker 2: There we go.
- 1:49Speaker 3: Oh, thank you. It's really not.
- 1:52Speaker 1: No.
- 1:53Speaker 3: If you saw the other side of the room.
- 1:55Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:56Speaker 3: There's a lot going on over there.
- 1:57Speaker 2: Different, little different.
- 1:59Speaker 1: That is, um, me too. And normally I'm more zoomed in,
- 2:02Speaker 1: but because of my face, I'm zoomed out because like
- 2:04Speaker 1: over there is just like, shelving of clothes that I'm
- 2:07Speaker 1: trying to sell on Poshmark. And then like over here,
- 2:11Speaker 1: I just throw things because generally I'm pretty zoomed in,
- 2:15Speaker 1: but you know, that's what it is today. Okay. So
- 2:19Speaker 1: we have lots to talk about. You guys watch some Bravo,
- 2:23Speaker 1: but you're mostly, you're a sister wives based podcast.
- 2:28Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 2:28Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 2:29Speaker 2: So we have surviving sister wives where we really delve
- 2:31Speaker 2: in on sister wives on TLC and then some adjacent
- 2:36Speaker 2: content for that. Like we were recapping big love and stuff.
- 2:39Speaker 2: So that's like the HBO show. That's kind of the
- 2:42Speaker 2: inspiration for sister wives in some ways.
- 2:45Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 2:45Speaker 2: So we kind of were connecting the dots on some
- 2:47Speaker 2: of that. And then we have surviving reality where that's
- 2:49Speaker 2: where we kind of, Oh, we're all over the place.
- 2:51Speaker 2: Now we got, branch out a lot more branched out
- 2:54Speaker 2: to a bunch of different.
- 2:55Speaker 3: Lives of mormon wives a lot of obviously mormon and
- 2:59Speaker 3: sister wives adjacent stuff right yep uh like you said
- 3:02Speaker 3: real housewives of salt lake city on bravo we're doing
- 3:04Speaker 3: the traders right now so a lot of tlc um
- 3:10Speaker 3: and then a lot of peacock too.
- 3:12Speaker 2: Peacock stuff yeah and then true crime sprinkled in here
- 3:15Speaker 2: and there as well we dabble we dabble yeah.
- 3:18Speaker 1: Man, you guys love some like fucked up religious people, huh? Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah.
- 3:23Speaker 3: Yeah. That's our bread and butter.
- 3:24Speaker 2: The basis for it all. Yes. Cult adjacent type things. Yeah.
- 3:30Speaker 2: I think for us, people get weirded out by it, though,
- 3:33Speaker 2: when you explain of like, oh, here's the shows that
- 3:34Speaker 2: I cover. And it's a lot of like Mormon type things.
- 3:37Speaker 2: And it's like, but we are not Mormon like at
- 3:40Speaker 2: all in any way, shape or form. Like I grew
- 3:43Speaker 2: up kind of like. fundamental Christian sort of little sheltered,
- 3:49Speaker 2: sheltered ish, you know, like the, not like super fundy fundy,
- 3:54Speaker 2: not like Plathville fundy.
- 3:56Speaker 1: Okay.
- 3:56Speaker 2: I mean, I went to, I went to church with
- 3:59Speaker 2: people who were living that Plathville life though. So it's like, well,
- 4:03Speaker 2: you know, there's a little bit of, there's a little
- 4:05Speaker 2: bit of experience in there.
- 4:07Speaker 1: Have you ever thought about doing a, like a rewatch
- 4:10Speaker 1: of the Duggars? Oh, Or it's currently too dark and
- 4:15Speaker 1: you can't do it.
- 4:16Speaker 3: I think it's too dark in hindsight. In hindsight, yeah.
- 4:19Speaker 3: But it would be really fascinating. Also, I think that
- 4:22Speaker 3: whole era of reality TV was just so weird.
- 4:25Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 4:25Speaker 3: You know, like John and Kate Plus Eight when they
- 4:27Speaker 3: were filming all those shows like basically– All year long. Well,
- 4:31Speaker 3: I mean, that's never got a break.
- 4:33Speaker 2: That's dark now. And going back to John and Kate
- 4:36Speaker 2: plus eight. And then, I mean, Colin's books coming out
- 4:39Speaker 2: soon and we're going to be covering that too.
- 4:42Speaker 1: We'll do a deep dive on that next month.
- 4:44Speaker 2: So yeah, we'll check that out.
- 4:46Speaker 3: Can't wait for it to come out. I think it's
- 4:47Speaker 3: October 13th in the shadow of eight.
- 4:50Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 4:51Speaker 1: Yeah. Okay.
- 4:52Speaker 2: That's coming up.
- 4:52Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 4:53Speaker 2: That'll be a good one.
- 4:55Speaker 1: I don't know. And then also, you know, on Real
- 4:57Speaker 1: Housewives of New York, we've got this woman on there
- 5:00Speaker 1: that used to date John Gosselin. That's her literal claim
- 5:04Speaker 1: to fame. And you're like, that's what you're going with?
- 5:06Speaker 2: All right.
- 5:06Speaker 1: All right.
- 5:08Speaker 3: I don't think that should count, you know?
- 5:11Speaker 1: Yeah, it shouldn't get you on a Housewives show.
- 5:13Speaker 2: Not a show. A whole show?
- 5:15Speaker 3: What else got you casted? Because I don't think you
- 5:17Speaker 3: can hang your hat on that.
- 5:19Speaker 2: That's a lot. It's doing a heavy lift, yeah, for
- 5:23Speaker 2: that whole.
- 5:24Speaker 1: Amount of stuff. Well, her dad's a plastic surgeon that
- 5:28Speaker 1: did all of Kate's work.
- 5:30Speaker 2: That helps. Okay.
- 5:31Speaker 1: And then when John Gosselin left Kate, he went and
- 5:34Speaker 1: stayed at their home, and then she started banging him.
- 5:36Speaker 2: There you go. It was oldest time right there.
- 5:40Speaker 1: I mean, right there. You go live with your plastic
- 5:42Speaker 1: surgeon and then the daughter. And then she's married to
- 5:47Speaker 1: some man now that we never see. And I don't
- 5:49Speaker 1: even think we know his name. But she dates women
- 5:52Speaker 1: openly and has like a second apartment where she does that.
- 5:55Speaker 1: So she is pretty good for housewives, I guess.
- 5:57Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 5:57Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 5:58Speaker 3: Wasn't that kind of pitched last season by, was it
- 6:01Speaker 3: Whitney to Bronwyn for Real Housewives of Salt Lake City?
- 6:03Speaker 2: Whitney and Bronwyn were chatting about opening up marriages. maybe
- 6:09Speaker 2: against their will, or they got nudged into it the
- 6:11Speaker 2: same way that we got nudged into video with you.
- 6:13Speaker 2: It's just one passing suggestion. And we said, okay, sure.
- 6:17Speaker 2: Twist my arm about it.
- 6:20Speaker 1: It also sort of leads me to double lives as
- 6:22Speaker 1: suburban wives, which is all of the husbands sort of
- 6:26Speaker 1: being like, you know, my wife didn't have any self-confidence.
- 6:29Speaker 1: And I was like, babe, you're hot. Let me put
- 6:32Speaker 1: a picture of your ass on the internet with your
- 6:34Speaker 1: vagina out. Dude, 1,200 people liked it. We should fully
- 6:38Speaker 1: quit our jobs and do OnlyFans.
- 6:40Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 6:41Speaker 2: That's the next logical step after that.
- 6:43Speaker 1: Where we fuck six people in a room while we
- 6:45Speaker 1: record it.
- 6:46Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 6:47Speaker 2: Sure. Sure.
- 6:48Speaker 3: And you're going to do all the work and make
- 6:50Speaker 3: all the money. And then I'm going to stop working too.
- 6:53Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 6:54Speaker 1: Also, but a lot of the guys do– listen, how
- 6:56Speaker 1: dare you. They do video. So they do point of
- 6:59Speaker 1: view videos while they get blowjobs.
- 7:01Speaker 3: Right.
- 7:01Speaker 1: Right.
- 7:01Speaker 2: That's the hardest job.
- 7:03Speaker 1: What a martyr.
- 7:03Speaker 2: Out of all of them, I think. Really. The sacrifice. Yeah.
- 7:08Speaker 3: What did you think of the finale of it?
- 7:12Speaker 1: Well, so we covered the show and then I had
- 7:16Speaker 1: Ace on last week to tell us all he had seen.
- 7:20Speaker 1: He subscribed to all of their OnlyFans.
- 7:24Speaker 2: All of them.
- 7:24Speaker 3: Yes, we've heard.
- 7:27Speaker 1: I don't know if he sent you some videos or not.
- 7:30Speaker 1: But he sent them to us, and I will never
- 7:33Speaker 1: make the same.
- 7:34Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 7:35Speaker 1: I've never seen porn in my life. So I just
- 7:40Speaker 1: thought it was like two people doing it, like a
- 7:43Speaker 1: Skinamax or something. But no, no. No, no. That's not
- 7:46Speaker 1: at all what these ladies are doing.
- 7:47Speaker 2: It depends on what you're into. Well, the ones that
- 7:49Speaker 2: he was subscribing to, the requests that he was making, too,
- 7:52Speaker 2: it's like, well– If you're going to Emily's page, that's.
- 7:56Speaker 3: A different brand. We made the mistake of saying that
- 7:59Speaker 3: we thought that Emily had the best approach out of everyone.
- 8:04Speaker 1: Agreed.
- 8:05Speaker 3: You agree though, right? Because her content, I would say
- 8:08Speaker 3: most people would be embarrassed in public to come up
- 8:13Speaker 3: and say, hey, remember when you sent me a video
- 8:16Speaker 3: of you farting out candles on a birthday cake last week?
- 8:20Speaker 2: Uh-huh.
- 8:20Speaker 3: Like they're probably not going to do that.
- 8:21Speaker 2: They're not going to approach that.
- 8:23Speaker 3: So you don't need your Hannah Montana wig.
- 8:25Speaker 1: Okay.
- 8:26Speaker 2: You have your own built-in, you know, animosity. Anonymity. Maybe
- 8:33Speaker 2: there's some animosity.
- 8:34Speaker 1: Maybe. Maybe.
- 8:36Speaker 3: There is towards Emily from everybody else now.
- 8:38Speaker 2: From everybody else. Well, I think that was why Church
- 8:40Speaker 2: Girl was so upset was it was, hey, why do
- 8:43Speaker 2: you get away with it where I have to lead
- 8:47Speaker 2: my double life with the The full wardrobe change, the
- 8:51Speaker 2: wig and the glasses.
- 8:53Speaker 3: Right.
- 8:53Speaker 1: But then she would go out in public in the
- 8:55Speaker 1: wig and the glasses because she didn't want people to
- 8:57Speaker 1: recognize her. But she was in the disguise. There should
- 9:00Speaker 1: have been a third disguise. She didn't. Macy's not the brightest.
- 9:03Speaker 3: No, she did it in the wrong order.
- 9:05Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 9:05Speaker 3: Right.
- 9:07Speaker 2: Something. Shouldn't you do the.
- 9:09Speaker 3: Content in a disguise?
- 9:11Speaker 2: Maybe you could.
- 9:12Speaker 3: That way, when you go out in public, you. Well,
- 9:14Speaker 3: that's what she was doing. Right.
- 9:16Speaker 2: Either way.
- 9:16Speaker 1: But that's what she thought she was doing.
- 9:18Speaker 3: She thought.
- 9:19Speaker 1: That's what she thought.
- 9:21Speaker 2: You jumped on that train, too. Really quick. Really quick.
- 9:24Speaker 2: That's what she.
- 9:25Speaker 1: Thought she was doing. Because she didn't want to be
- 9:28Speaker 1: embarrassed to be seen in public with these hoes.
- 9:32Speaker 3: Right.
- 9:34Speaker 1: So she would put on the wig, which would make
- 9:36Speaker 1: people just recognize her more. It made no sense. But
- 9:39Speaker 1: the last episode... They teed it up perfectly about, you know,
- 9:44Speaker 1: they showed us kind of at the beginning about how
- 9:46Speaker 1: she was going to be talking to her dad, and
- 9:47Speaker 1: then we had to wait until the end. And it
- 9:51Speaker 1: went exactly as you could have imagined with her dad, right?
- 9:54Speaker 2: I don't think they even got to, like, the– all
- 9:59Speaker 2: they needed to say was we do adult content. And
- 10:01Speaker 2: then he was upset by that. I think the more
- 10:05Speaker 2: upsetting part for him would be since he's a pastor
- 10:09Speaker 2: to be like, oh, by the way, my page is
- 10:12Speaker 2: like a whole persona about like this naughty church girl.
- 10:16Speaker 2: I feel like that would be a whole... We didn't
- 10:18Speaker 2: even get to that. Yeah, we didn't even broach that.
- 10:19Speaker 3: He left before she even brought up what the theme
- 10:23Speaker 3: of the content was.
- 10:24Speaker 2: I think that would have been even more upsetting to
- 10:27Speaker 2: him at that point. So we were talking about it, though,
- 10:30Speaker 2: when we watched it happen, we were like, why didn't
- 10:32Speaker 2: this happen in, like, episode three of six? So, like,
- 10:38Speaker 2: have the... Instead of building for the whole first season
- 10:41Speaker 2: to be the culmination of, obviously, he's going to be
- 10:44Speaker 2: upset by it. So, like.
- 10:46Speaker 3: Let us see the fallout.
- 10:48Speaker 2: Yeah, like show us what happens after that a little
- 10:51Speaker 2: bit instead of building to it for just the first season.
- 10:54Speaker 1: I see what you're saying. Yeah, I think the whole
- 10:58Speaker 1: point of her storyline for the first season is like,
- 11:02Speaker 1: I'm going to have to tell them because the show
- 11:03Speaker 1: is going to come out. I did like how they
- 11:05Speaker 1: kept saying like, this show is going to air on television.
- 11:10Speaker 1: We hope. And we're all going to make $ 12 from it.
- 11:13Speaker 3: So.
- 11:15Speaker 1: We're going to have to tell our kids. We're going
- 11:17Speaker 1: to have to tell our mom. All right, let's talk
- 11:22Speaker 1: and be honest here. A lot of us here are
- 11:25Speaker 1: ladies of a certain age and in a busy season
- 11:27Speaker 1: of our lives. Speaking for myself, I'm busier than ever.
- 11:30Speaker 1: And I think most of us are stressed for some
- 11:33Speaker 1: reason or another. And that's the idea behind Dame's Desire Gummies.
- 11:38Speaker 1: Low desire usually isn't a you problem. It's a stress problem.
- 11:42Speaker 1: So let's talk about it. Desire isn't just physical. It
- 11:45Speaker 1: starts in your head and it's tangled up with stress
- 11:47Speaker 1: and mood and how much you're carrying in your daily life.
- 11:50Speaker 1: And Dame gets that. Their desire gummies are a daily
- 11:54Speaker 1: supplement that works on the stress and mood side of
- 11:56Speaker 1: the equation. And this is what I love. The gummies
- 11:59Speaker 1: were developed with an OBGYN and clinically studied as a
- 12:03Speaker 1: complete formula. Most women in the study noticed a difference
- 12:06Speaker 1: within two weeks and 85% reported increased desire by week four.
- 12:12Speaker 1: And because it's a daily ritual, Dame makes it easy.
- 12:14Speaker 1: You can subscribe and save 15% on every order delivered
- 12:18Speaker 1: every 20 days. And then my code stacks on top.
- 12:22Speaker 1: So you need to subscribe because it's a daily supplement
- 12:24Speaker 1: and you don't want to run out. So here's the
- 12:26Speaker 1: science-y part. Dame didn't just cite ingredient research. They studied
- 12:31Speaker 1: the actual gummy on real women and 85% reported increased
- 12:36Speaker 1: desire in four weeks. They did a four-week observational study
- 12:39Speaker 1: run by a third-party lab with 53 women aged 24
- 12:44Speaker 1: to 52 who reported low desire and stressful lifestyles. Participants
- 12:48Speaker 1: reported improvement saying they had increased sexual desire by 85%,
- 12:53Speaker 1: reduced stress and anxiety by 87%, and improved mood by 93%.
- 13:00Speaker 1: My God, if I could improve my mood by 93%, well, yes,
- 13:03Speaker 1: I'm going to try that and everybody wins. So if
- 13:06Speaker 1: you want to see for yourself and get 15% off
- 13:09Speaker 1: of these gummies, you're going to go to dame.com and
- 13:13Speaker 1: use code pinkshade. Remember, you can subscribe with code pinkshade
- 13:17Speaker 1: and the discounts will stack. So 15% off with the
- 13:20Speaker 1: code plus 15% off every subscription order. So that's dame.com
- 13:26Speaker 1: code pinkshade for 15% off. Okay, dame.com code pinkshade. And
- 13:33Speaker 1: what did you think about when Heather and Sean, well,
- 13:37Speaker 1: really just Heather, was telling Rita and Sean seemed to
- 13:41Speaker 1: go full like sling blade, like he could not talk.
- 13:46Speaker 1: He was just moaning and banging his head against the
- 13:49Speaker 1: siding of his house.
- 13:50Speaker 3: I was so uncomfortable.
- 13:52Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 13:52Speaker 1: We're like, what's wrong? Is he– does he need medical attention?
- 13:56Speaker 3: I kind of felt bad for her, to be honest,
- 13:57Speaker 3: because he really left it to be on her to
- 13:59Speaker 3: have to communicate everything and then to the kids as well.
- 14:02Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 14:03Speaker 3: Like, it was like, come on. You're a grown adult
- 14:05Speaker 3: and you know what you're doing. Like, you should be
- 14:07Speaker 3: able to at least have a conversation with, you know,
- 14:10Speaker 3: whoever it is you're telling where you're not, like, rolling
- 14:13Speaker 3: on the floor, like– acting like.
- 14:16Speaker 2: You're doubled over yeah because then everybody's just ignoring that
- 14:21Speaker 2: that's what's taking place nobody's addressing like are you okay
- 14:25Speaker 2: why are you making these sounds are you no it's
- 14:28Speaker 2: just that's what he does so that's what we're.
- 14:31Speaker 1: Doing very weird behavior yeah it was immature yes and
- 14:37Speaker 1: I did like how the son was like, did that
- 14:39Speaker 1: filthy money pay for my basketball camp?
- 14:41Speaker 3: Oh, he was so funny.
- 14:42Speaker 1: We were like, he's a star.
- 14:44Speaker 2: Those were the right questions.
- 14:47Speaker 1: Should we not knock on your door if it's closed?
- 14:50Speaker 1: And they were like, oh my God. I don't know
- 14:54Speaker 1: if you follow any of them, like just on Instagram.
- 14:58Speaker 1: But it's so fucking cringy. Like Heather will be walking,
- 15:02Speaker 1: she'll be walking around like, I'm just trying to do housework.
- 15:04Speaker 1: And it's, you know, so she's vacuuming. And then she
- 15:07Speaker 1: picks up the vacuum handle like, no. And then you
- 15:11Speaker 1: see her dusting. Oh, and then she picks up the
- 15:14Speaker 1: handle of that. No. So she sort of goes around
- 15:17Speaker 1: her house looking at things that she could insert, I suppose.
- 15:19Speaker 2: Needs to have a flared base. Okay, safety first.
- 15:25Speaker 3: Very creative.
- 15:27Speaker 1: Then one that today Macy put out was... she and
- 15:34Speaker 1: her friend and it's just shot from the back so
- 15:36Speaker 1: they're naked sitting in chairs with their legs wide open
- 15:40Speaker 1: and we shot from behind so jim comes in the
- 15:43Speaker 1: front door not their home comes in the front door
- 15:46Speaker 1: with like a golf bag and it says we wanted
- 15:49Speaker 1: to make sure you played the 19th and 20th hole
- 15:51Speaker 1: okay so that's.
- 15:54Speaker 3: What we're doing that's okay you know so here's the
- 15:57Speaker 3: disappointing part Porn is known for being cringy and, like,
- 16:03Speaker 3: the stories aren't very good. It's like, if you're going
- 16:05Speaker 3: to be making this yourself, like, come up with something better.
- 16:10Speaker 1: Okay. Right?
- 16:12Speaker 2: Well, I think that was what our original analysis, though, too,
- 16:16Speaker 2: was where it's.
- 16:17Speaker 3: This isn't... It's not porn.
- 16:19Speaker 2: This isn't porn, necessarily. Like, this is different.
- 16:24Speaker 3: It's obtainable, right?
- 16:26Speaker 2: It's accessible. The women.
- 16:28Speaker 3: the women look more like someone you could see in
- 16:32Speaker 3: a grocery store. Yeah.
- 16:34Speaker 2: That makes like a, the fantasy more accessible where it's like,
- 16:37Speaker 2: I could bump into somebody realistically church girl. I can
- 16:42Speaker 2: bump into church girl at church maybe, or, you know,
- 16:46Speaker 2: Heather at the supermarket or whatever. But like, I think
- 16:49Speaker 2: it's that obtainability, the accessibility of the fantasy. That's what
- 16:55Speaker 2: people are subscribing to.
- 16:56Speaker 1: Because they're regular-looking women and regular-looking what we call the
- 17:02Speaker 1: doughboy husbands.
- 17:03Speaker 2: Yes.
- 17:04Speaker 3: Yes.
- 17:04Speaker 1: And so you're like, okay, I could watch these two
- 17:08Speaker 1: doing it with their neighbors because they could be my neighbors.
- 17:12Speaker 1: Maybe my neighbors would want to get six of us
- 17:14Speaker 1: in a room and go for it in exchange.
- 17:16Speaker 2: It's like looking into your neighbor's window in some ways
- 17:21Speaker 2: or whatever if that's what people are going after. So
- 17:24Speaker 2: it's just like that– look in you know kind of
- 17:29Speaker 2: oh i shouldn't be but i'll then.
- 17:31Speaker 3: I'm interested to see if they continue this show at
- 17:34Speaker 3: all but then if they do.
- 17:35Speaker 1: A thousand percent they will do you think they'll continue the.
- 17:39Speaker 3: Same cast or is this a show that you pick
- 17:42Speaker 3: up and you bring somewhere else and now you go
- 17:44Speaker 3: to another area where there's.
- 17:46Speaker 2: You know a lot like this was st louis.
- 17:48Speaker 3: Creators yeah and like explore it their relationship with each
- 17:52Speaker 3: other and, you know, coming out. I'm just wondering if
- 17:56Speaker 3: you can replicate that story.
- 17:59Speaker 2: Right.
- 18:00Speaker 1: Well, definitely if they kept the same cast, I think
- 18:03Speaker 1: Megan said her goodbyes. First of all, she's boring and
- 18:08Speaker 1: has no personality. But second of all, she said she's
- 18:11Speaker 1: going to, I think the takeaway was, I'm going to
- 18:15Speaker 1: take the $ 10, 000 they gave me And I'm going to
- 18:18Speaker 1: go back and get my PhD and write a book
- 18:20Speaker 1: and dah, dah, dah. And I'm like, God, Godspeed.
- 18:25Speaker 2: What does the P and the D stand for in
- 18:27Speaker 2: her PhD that she's getting?
- 18:30Speaker 1: That's disgusting. She already got it. She already got the
- 18:37Speaker 1: P and the D. She got it. She, God bless.
- 18:41Speaker 1: But yeah, but I think the idea of taking it
- 18:45Speaker 1: to a different city each time, Wouldn't you love to
- 18:49Speaker 1: see a Vegas cast of these?
- 18:50Speaker 2: Oh, right?
- 18:52Speaker 1: Like, ew.
- 18:53Speaker 3: I think it's got so much potential if they could
- 18:58Speaker 3: just keep moving and finding more interesting people. Because I
- 19:03Speaker 3: felt like they were kind of.
- 19:06Speaker 3: To me, the exciting part of the story isn't hearing
- 19:08Speaker 3: them complain the whole time or worry about When they're
- 19:13Speaker 3: going to get found out, like if people are going
- 19:15Speaker 3: to find out before the show airs or once the
- 19:17Speaker 3: show airs and what it's going to be like.
- 19:19Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 19:20Speaker 3: They need to move beyond that, in my opinion.
- 19:22Speaker 2: Well, it's not as risky because it's like, oh, I
- 19:24Speaker 2: could lose everything by needing to make content full time
- 19:28Speaker 2: where I make a boatload more money than I ever
- 19:31Speaker 2: did at my regular job. Like what Heather's situation was
- 19:35Speaker 2: by the end of the season where her job found
- 19:37Speaker 2: out she got fired, but now she's making money. content
- 19:40Speaker 2: full-time online, which I think that was kind of the
- 19:43Speaker 2: idea was if you're going to be on a show, well,
- 19:45Speaker 2: that'll platform you, that'll launch you. You should be doing
- 19:48Speaker 2: okay by the time this roll around for that but
- 19:51Speaker 2: even just like the way that they advertised the show
- 19:55Speaker 2: with like the title card where it's the back of
- 19:57Speaker 2: everybody's head yeah nobody's faces so we were like are
- 20:00Speaker 2: we getting invested in this cast or is this something
- 20:03Speaker 2: that's going to move around where it's going to be
- 20:05Speaker 2: you know Double Lives of Suburban Wives, Austin, Texas or something,
- 20:11Speaker 2: you know, like a different location entirely.
- 20:13Speaker 1: Well, Matt Sharp does love a spinoff.
- 20:17Speaker 3: We know that.
- 20:17Speaker 1: I know he loves a spinoff. When it works, it works. Yeah,
- 20:22Speaker 1: God bless it. Well, I really will never get over
- 20:28Speaker 1: what Ace showed me, so I'm going to try to.
- 20:30Speaker 1: I keep trying to do like a mind eraser on myself.
- 20:33Speaker 2: No, no. Yeah.
- 20:35Speaker 3: Imagine, because next season you could have a whole new
- 20:37Speaker 3: group that you can see.
- 20:39Speaker 1: I could have a whole new cervix to see. I
- 20:45Speaker 1: was like, do we see small intestine? I've never been
- 20:49Speaker 1: so far up into somebody's cavity in my life.
- 20:52Speaker 2: That's far.
- 20:53Speaker 1: Yeah, too far. Ace was like, I held my wife's
- 20:56Speaker 1: legs while she gave birth and I have never seen
- 20:58Speaker 1: these things. He's like, I've literally been eyeball to eyeball
- 21:02Speaker 1: with it and have never. Yeah. Oh, my God. Okay. So,
- 21:08Speaker 1: all right. Before we go into, like, we're going to
- 21:11Speaker 1: talk about Salt Lake City, which is Bravo. But the traitors,
- 21:16Speaker 1: the traitors with the normies. Yes. How do you like it? Yeah.
- 21:22Speaker 3: To be honest, I was nervous about not having a
- 21:25Speaker 3: celebrity cast because sometimes it's harder to get invested in
- 21:29Speaker 3: people when you don't know much about them coming in.
- 21:31Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 21:32Speaker 3: They're so good though.
- 21:34Speaker 2: Oh, it's so good.
- 21:34Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 21:35Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 21:35Speaker 1: So good.
- 21:36Speaker 2: Well, and like the UK versions, it normally was regular
- 21:42Speaker 2: everyday people. It wasn't celebrities. So like their flip was
- 21:45Speaker 2: they have a UK celebrity version, which I think the
- 21:48Speaker 2: new one's starting at the beginning of October.
- 21:50Speaker 3: October 1st.
- 21:50Speaker 2: October 1st. So, um, that was like kind of the
- 21:55Speaker 2: flip where it's like the UK version started with normal people.
- 21:58Speaker 2: Then they added a celebrity version. Us did the opposite
- 22:02Speaker 2: where it start with celebrities and then go. So, I mean,
- 22:04Speaker 2: they kind of, they knew the format they've done that before.
- 22:07Speaker 2: I think it introduces a fun element where you have
- 22:11Speaker 2: more of the chaos, like we're seeing with Jay specifically,
- 22:15Speaker 2: where you don't know this person. You've never seen this
- 22:18Speaker 2: person until they show up to play this game. And
- 22:20Speaker 2: now this is who.
- 22:21Speaker 1: You're interacting with. You know nothing about them. Like you
- 22:24Speaker 1: can't even say like, I don't know them, but they
- 22:26Speaker 1: were on Survivor. So they probably have this competitive skill.
- 22:30Speaker 1: Or I don't know them, but they were on Housewives.
- 22:33Speaker 1: So they're probably kind of dumb. You know what I mean?
- 22:35Speaker 1: Like you don't have that at least like what their
- 22:38Speaker 1: gameplay might be because you know nothing. I love it.
- 22:40Speaker 1: I love it.
- 22:41Speaker 2: Or even like their jobs, you know, where it's like, oh,
- 22:44Speaker 2: I'm a lawyer, but I'm going to tell everybody I'm
- 22:47Speaker 2: a basketball coach.
- 22:48Speaker 1: That made no sense. I didn't get it.
- 22:50Speaker 3: Sometimes it works out.
- 22:52Speaker 2: Sometimes it doesn't. And it didn't work out. Yeah. Like
- 22:55Speaker 2: maybe you would have been better off telling people. Do
- 22:57Speaker 2: people do that? Oh, on the UK ones. Yeah, the
- 22:59Speaker 2: UK one, people would lie all the time where they're like, oh, yeah,
- 23:01Speaker 2: I'm not going to tell people what the– there's usually
- 23:03Speaker 2: people who are trying to carry a different secret than
- 23:07Speaker 2: just being a traitor. Sometimes they reveal it. Sometimes they don't.
- 23:12Speaker 2: So like, that's something that has happened on some of
- 23:14Speaker 2: the other seasons.
- 23:15Speaker 1: So that's where she got it from probably like, yeah,
- 23:18Speaker 1: because we've never seen it. I've never watched anything other
- 23:21Speaker 1: than the U S celebrity version. So that's interesting. So
- 23:24Speaker 1: I was like, what would make her think to do that? Like,
- 23:27Speaker 1: why would basketball coach be better or worse than lawyer?
- 23:30Speaker 2: You know? Cause sometimes with like psychologists and stuff like that,
- 23:35Speaker 2: there's people who get nervous about, Oh, will people have
- 23:37Speaker 2: a preconceived notion about my, you know, profession being an
- 23:42Speaker 2: advantage in this game? Is that going to be, you know,
- 23:45Speaker 2: like how on the U S versions, the gamers are
- 23:48Speaker 2: always targeted. So all the big brother survivor people that's,
- 23:51Speaker 2: they're the most strategic gameplay. So like get them out
- 23:55Speaker 2: as soon as you can. If you're a trader is
- 23:57Speaker 2: usually the, mechanic that happens there but yeah.
- 24:01Speaker 1: That's right that's right that's fascinating okay is jay the
- 24:05Speaker 1: doctor that was like i'm the body language expert yes.
- 24:09Speaker 2: He's kicking his leg every time he comes into breakfast
- 24:12Speaker 2: and so he's up to 11 now yeah.
- 24:15Speaker 1: He so i just i literally just saw him doing
- 24:18Speaker 1: a post and he was holding a microphone that was
- 24:20Speaker 1: clipped onto like a prayer candle of himself a candle Yeah.
- 24:24Speaker 1: I was laughing so hard. I didn't. So he was like,
- 24:27Speaker 1: now that we've got the gay thing out of the way.
- 24:29Speaker 1: And then he goes into and I was like, did
- 24:31Speaker 1: we get the gay thing out of the way?
- 24:32Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah.
- 24:34Speaker 3: His wife made an entire post about it.
- 24:36Speaker 2: He had said his wife on the show.
- 24:40Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 24:40Speaker 2: On the show. And then people were like, your wife?
- 24:42Speaker 2: Because everybody's assessment of Jay was that. he is gay
- 24:46Speaker 2: because of the way that he comes into breakfast. He's
- 24:48Speaker 2: very flamboyant. He's, you know, over the top, whatever.
- 24:51Speaker 3: The stipulations are that.
- 24:53Speaker 2: Their perception of him is. And so then, yeah, his
- 24:56Speaker 2: wife made a whole post where she was talking for
- 24:58Speaker 2: like four and a half minutes where she's like, no,
- 25:01Speaker 2: everybody's in my dms now telling me that i'm married
- 25:05Speaker 2: to a gay man.
- 25:06Speaker 3: And you imagine like like he's been on tv for
- 25:09Speaker 3: like a few minutes and people are dming his wife
- 25:12Speaker 3: being like just so you know in case you're not
- 25:14Speaker 3: aware you're married to a gay.
- 25:17Speaker 2: Man so her whole thing was like we've been together
- 25:19Speaker 2: since 2007 like i know this man better than anybody
- 25:25Speaker 2: here you know who's in my dms now And then
- 25:29Speaker 2: people were like, oh, even if you don't think he's gay,
- 25:32Speaker 2: he's probably going behind your back. He's probably doing this.
- 25:34Speaker 2: Make sure you get access to the emails. Like tons
- 25:37Speaker 2: of stuff that she's replying to where she was basically saying,
- 25:40Speaker 2: I have a business with this man. I have access
- 25:43Speaker 2: to all the things. Not even that that matters. She goes,
- 25:45Speaker 2: this man has such severe ADHD. If he were able
- 25:49Speaker 2: to plan and actually coordinate things, Something behind my back,
- 25:56Speaker 2: I would be impressed more than anything at this point. So, like,
- 26:01Speaker 2: that's not happening.
- 26:02Speaker 1: She's like, he's just theatrical and that's what it is. Yeah.
- 26:07Speaker 2: And there's a very heavy stipulation.
- 26:09Speaker 3: And I think it's part of his gameplay is the
- 26:11Speaker 3: chaos that he's creating of having people second guess themselves
- 26:15Speaker 3: and not understand what's going on. Because that's what his
- 26:17Speaker 3: video was about that I think you were mentioning that
- 26:20Speaker 3: you watched.
- 26:20Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 26:22Speaker 3: Which is super interesting that that was his pitch to
- 26:24Speaker 3: the producers was that he has this theory about based
- 26:28Speaker 3: on chaos theory. And he wanted to see it brought
- 26:31Speaker 3: into the traders because nobody's ever played that way before.
- 26:34Speaker 3: Although I think Kate Chastain probably did a little bit
- 26:38Speaker 3: of that in her season, her first season without realizing
- 26:42Speaker 3: that that's what she was.
- 26:43Speaker 2: Doing because she was a faithful and everybody was convinced
- 26:46Speaker 2: she was a trader. So then she was like, well,
- 26:49Speaker 2: I'm just throwing money out now.
- 26:50Speaker 3: Throwing challenges.
- 26:51Speaker 2: Yeah. So there was an element of chaos.
- 26:54Speaker 3: And I think he's interested to see how that'll play
- 26:59Speaker 3: out in the house.
- 26:59Speaker 1: So I hope they don't vote him off because he's hilarious.
- 27:04Speaker 3: I know. It's both irritating, but also entertaining.
- 27:10Speaker 2: Well, the interesting part too is where it's like, okay,
- 27:13Speaker 2: this is him as a faithful person. Do you think
- 27:16Speaker 2: the traitors would want to recruit him? Do you think
- 27:19Speaker 2: he would keep doing the chaos stuff as a traitor then?
- 27:24Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, I think he would probably amp it up.
- 27:27Speaker 1: Don't you? He would be like, well, now I'm holding
- 27:30Speaker 1: all these secrets. What will I do?
- 27:32Speaker 3: Because if I'm a traitor, that would be my strategy
- 27:35Speaker 3: is when you have to recruit, recruit Jay because everyone
- 27:38Speaker 3: will be so confused about when he eventually gets banished
- 27:42Speaker 3: and they find out he was a traitor because their
- 27:45Speaker 3: entire theory is going to be, why would somebody act
- 27:47Speaker 3: like that if they were a traitor?
- 27:48Speaker 2: Right. Okay. That's interesting. Yeah.
- 27:51Speaker 3: I just think it would turn everything up on its head.
- 27:53Speaker 2: I don't know. I don't know if they would want to,
- 27:55Speaker 2: because they didn't pick Xavier because they were like, well,
- 27:58Speaker 2: he went to throwing a traitor under the bus. Like
- 28:01Speaker 2: that was kind of disruptive already. So I don't know
- 28:04Speaker 2: if they would even try. That was the wrong move.
- 28:06Speaker 1: That was the wrong move on his part. And he
- 28:08Speaker 1: probably would have been pretty good because he, He's good looking.
- 28:12Speaker 1: So people were drawn to him. Trusting.
- 28:14Speaker 3: We saw that work last season. We saw how that
- 28:17Speaker 3: works with Rob. All that works.
- 28:19Speaker 1: Rob could have told me anything. I'd have been like,
- 28:22Speaker 1: you're right. I had never laid eyes on that man before.
- 28:25Speaker 1: I didn't know who that man was, but I was like,
- 28:28Speaker 1: I like the snake tattoos.
- 28:28Speaker 2: You learned.
- 28:29Speaker 1: Yeah. I like your beautiful face. You could, that, yeah,
- 28:35Speaker 1: you could tell me anything. That man could tell me anything.
- 28:37Speaker 2: So it works.
- 28:38Speaker 1: It works.
- 28:40Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 28:40Speaker 1: That's why I think Kate's got that going for her.
- 28:42Speaker 1: The little, the little, little girl, Kate, isn't that her name?
- 28:45Speaker 1: She's got that going for her. Cause she's like cute
- 28:47Speaker 1: and pretty and, and little.
- 28:49Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 28:50Speaker 3: So tiny.
- 28:51Speaker 2: Very tiny in the turret. Yes.
- 28:54Speaker 1: The tiny turret trader. Well, I'm loving it. I'm loving it.
- 28:59Speaker 1: And it makes me want to go and watch the
- 29:01Speaker 1: UK with the normies.
- 29:03Speaker 2: Oh yeah. They're good. Those first few seasons, especially. Oh,
- 29:06Speaker 2: very good.
- 29:07Speaker 3: Very good.
- 29:08Speaker 1: That was where it started, right?
- 29:10Speaker 2: I think so, because then was the UK version the
- 29:13Speaker 2: first one?
- 29:14Speaker 3: I'm not positive.
- 29:15Speaker 2: I don't remember, because there's so many now. There's so many.
- 29:18Speaker 2: There's three seasons of Traders Canada now that popped up
- 29:21Speaker 2: on Peacock, and I was like, what? Where did that
- 29:24Speaker 2: come from? So, yeah, there's a bunch more to go through. Oh, Lord.
- 29:28Speaker 1: Okay, too much for me. Okay, so also I want
- 29:33Speaker 1: to talk to you guys about, and we are going
- 29:34Speaker 1: to get to Bravo for those that are waiting for it.
- 29:36Speaker 1: We got to quickly dip into the last season of
- 29:39Speaker 1: Plathville because you guys are Plathville lovers. Like I am.
- 29:45Speaker 1: I recently twice now I've talked to Ross Matthews because
- 29:48Speaker 1: he's hosting these TLC secondary 90 day reunions. So he
- 29:53Speaker 1: did like hunt for love and last resort. He's really good.
- 29:57Speaker 1: And he's a huge 90 day fan. So he was like, yeah,
- 30:01Speaker 1: I've just been trying so hard to get to a
- 30:03Speaker 1: new show. I was thinking I was going to watch
- 30:05Speaker 1: like something. And I go, no, if you've never, if
- 30:08Speaker 1: you really want to show to like dig your teeth
- 30:10Speaker 1: into who had a lot of, you know, it's, it's Plathville.
- 30:13Speaker 1: And then when I talked to him the second time,
- 30:14Speaker 1: he's like, I still am looking for a show. I
- 30:16Speaker 1: was like, I've already told you what the show is.
- 30:19Speaker 3: Your search is over.
- 30:20Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 30:22Speaker 1: It's the best show you'll ever see in your life.
- 30:23Speaker 1: And I stand by it.
- 30:25Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 30:25Speaker 1: Stand by it. We're doing a rewatch over on our prime.
- 30:29Speaker 1: And I'm doing it with my co-host Keisha. And Keisha
- 30:32Speaker 1: didn't know one thing about it, had never watched it.
- 30:34Speaker 2: Ooh, yeah.
- 30:35Speaker 1: And Keisha is black, so she labeled it Whitey Wednesday.
- 30:40Speaker 1: We talk about it on Wednesday. She's like, these are
- 30:42Speaker 1: the whitest white people I've ever seen in my life.
- 30:45Speaker 2: She's not wrong. She's not wrong.
- 30:46Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 30:47Speaker 1: We get very excited. Next week, where we are now,
- 30:51Speaker 1: is next week is remember when Kim– has a black
- 30:53Speaker 1: friend and sits down with her. You could remember it
- 30:56Speaker 1: because it was only, not the Jamaican guy that came
- 30:59Speaker 1: to make them dinner. Not that guy.
- 31:01Speaker 2: Oh, not that guy.
- 31:02Speaker 1: Not that guy. It was a woman. And I told,
- 31:07Speaker 1: I told Keisha, I said, I believe what's happening next week.
- 31:10Speaker 1: They show her sitting with this woman saying, I found
- 31:13Speaker 1: somebody like I'm going to be dating who we've already seen,
- 31:17Speaker 1: you know, and with Isaac. And, She tells this woman
- 31:21Speaker 1: and Keisha goes, I just noted that this was a
- 31:23Speaker 1: black woman. And I said, yes. I said, but I
- 31:26Speaker 1: believe the woman like rented the apartment above the dance studio.
- 31:31Speaker 1: And that's how they became friends.
- 31:34Speaker 2: A tenant.
- 31:34Speaker 1: A tenant. Yeah. That's paying her. Right. But next week
- 31:40Speaker 1: is when she says, well, I have found a guy
- 31:42Speaker 1: I've been dating. And we're all like, blow some more
- 31:45Speaker 1: smoke up our ass, Kim. You've been dating this guy
- 31:47Speaker 1: for eight months, you know? We already saw him last
- 31:50Speaker 1: episode selling the airplane to Isaac. So she's also excited
- 31:55Speaker 1: to get into what you guys have labeled K.K. Ken.
- 31:58Speaker 2: K.K. Ken, yeah.
- 31:59Speaker 1: With the rest of us. The rest of us have
- 32:03Speaker 1: taken up that mantle to call him K.K.
- 32:04Speaker 2: Ken.
- 32:05Speaker 1: I hope you're okay with it.
- 32:06Speaker 2: That makes sense.
- 32:07Speaker 3: I mean, he deserves it.
- 32:09Speaker 2: He's earned it. Yeah. That's the whole thing. Yeah. It's just.
- 32:14Speaker 1: So what did you guys think about last season, season eight,
- 32:18Speaker 1: where they really did a turnaround on all Lydia and Zach? Oh, man.
- 32:22Speaker 3: I found it very upsetting.
- 32:24Speaker 2: It was okay.
- 32:26Speaker 3: So are Zach and Lydia objectively annoying?
- 32:30Speaker 2: Yes.
- 32:30Speaker 3: Yes. Yes. I wouldn't want to spend time with them.
- 32:34Speaker 3: I think that they are trying to impose their views
- 32:37Speaker 3: on other people. But it's really frustrating to see the
- 32:41Speaker 3: show take up the Plath family's narrative where it's always
- 32:46Speaker 3: somebody else and it's never them.
- 32:49Speaker 2: Correct.
- 32:50Speaker 1: Well, it's never Kim specifically.
- 32:52Speaker 2: It's never Kim.
- 32:52Speaker 1: Right, right.
- 32:53Speaker 3: Well, I feel like they're still trying to frame it
- 32:55Speaker 3: as the outsider is the problem. So it's like Zach
- 32:58Speaker 3: has come in and now he's influencing Lydia to– I guess,
- 33:04Speaker 3: speak up more about the things that she's uncomfortable with.
- 33:07Speaker 2: Cause problems.
- 33:08Speaker 3: And causing rifts.
- 33:09Speaker 2: Yeah, by their standards.
- 33:11Speaker 1: Because she used to just do everything Kim said and
- 33:14Speaker 1: now she doesn't.
- 33:16Speaker 2: Right.
- 33:16Speaker 1: Right. That's a real problem. She's left her family and
- 33:18Speaker 1: cleaved to her husband. As it says in the Bible.
- 33:23Speaker 3: As they taught her to. And yet it's a problem.
- 33:25Speaker 2: Shocking. Shockingly. So I think that's the big thing that's
- 33:30Speaker 2: on display is where it's like, it's Plath family... But
- 33:35Speaker 2: then also there's the religious component where it's like, no,
- 33:38Speaker 2: now you have to go. She would have to go
- 33:41Speaker 2: and live life on Zach's terms, essentially, is how they've
- 33:46Speaker 2: trained her up to do this. And it's like, well,
- 33:49Speaker 2: you can't do both of those. So then Lydia is
- 33:51Speaker 2: caught in the middle. So that's just it's rough. The
- 33:55Speaker 2: other show that we've been watching, Little People, Big World,
- 33:58Speaker 2: we've been going through the old episodes of that. And
- 34:02Speaker 2: it's reminding us of when we saw. Jeremy and Audrey
- 34:06Speaker 2: when they first got married the oldest son on that
- 34:10Speaker 2: show and his wife were very religious where then it's
- 34:16Speaker 2: as soon as they get married they immediately become marriage
- 34:19Speaker 2: experts so there's like this amazing thing that happens for
- 34:26Speaker 2: like youth group kids that get married in their early
- 34:31Speaker 2: 20s And they are now marriage experts. And it's like,
- 34:36Speaker 2: just because you did that, just because you got there,
- 34:39Speaker 2: that's like the finish line of you being now.
- 34:45Speaker 3: That's what they think. I got someone to marry me,
- 34:47Speaker 3: so now I know everything about marriage.
- 34:49Speaker 2: Yes.
- 34:50Speaker 1: That is such a great point.
- 34:52Speaker 2: It's right in there.
- 34:53Speaker 1: With the two of them just like, now that we're married,
- 34:57Speaker 1: you're like, okay, girl, you did not kiss your husband twice.
- 35:02Speaker 1: Until your wedding day after you sang a song to him.
- 35:05Speaker 1: Do you remember that? When she sang to him at
- 35:08Speaker 1: the wedding? I interviewed Olivia and I said, she had
- 35:12Speaker 1: not been to the wedding, obviously. But I said, Olivia,
- 35:15Speaker 1: I know you didn't go to the wedding, but Lydia sang.
- 35:18Speaker 1: And not well, but sang to Zach before the thing.
- 35:23Speaker 1: Have you ever heard of such a thing at a wedding?
- 35:26Speaker 1: And Olivia says, yeah, at Hosanna's wedding. She sang to
- 35:30Speaker 1: her husband.
- 35:31Speaker 3: Okay, yeah. Oh, that sounds like a Kimmy request.
- 35:36Speaker 2: Oh, my God.
- 35:36Speaker 3: Kim Plath wedding planning.
- 35:38Speaker 2: I was going to say, we're not new to people
- 35:40Speaker 2: singing at weddings, but usually it's the mother of the
- 35:42Speaker 2: bride for Sister Wives from Christine. No.
- 35:45Speaker 1: Let me call you sweetheart. No, what?
- 35:48Speaker 2: Oh, that was rough. Oh, that was a rough one.
- 35:50Speaker 2: That was for McKelty and Tony's wedding. Oh, no. But
- 35:54Speaker 2: that was our joke when we were recapping. It was
- 35:56Speaker 2: that we think that McKelty and Tony's wedding theme was
- 36:00Speaker 2: just trolling. We think that they were just... out to
- 36:03Speaker 2: like get one over on everybody like that was their
- 36:07Speaker 2: thing was they were just entertaining themselves so they were
- 36:10Speaker 2: coming up with just ridiculous scenarios to ask people on
- 36:14Speaker 2: their wedding day it would make me happy if you
- 36:17Speaker 2: sing us a song in front of everyone just sing
- 36:21Speaker 2: sing a song to us and so that was what they.
- 36:23Speaker 1: Did christine did it is she known to be a
- 36:25Speaker 1: singer oh no no It was very, very bad.
- 36:29Speaker 3: She had vocal lessons, which did not help much in
- 36:33Speaker 3: the end.
- 36:33Speaker 2: And she was terrified, nervous, so stressing out over it.
- 36:37Speaker 2: And it's like, I think that was the goal. That
- 36:40Speaker 2: was the point. That was the whole point. Yeah, I
- 36:42Speaker 2: think it was a flex of just, here, I want
- 36:44Speaker 2: you to do this, something that will make you wildly
- 36:47Speaker 2: uncomfortable on this special day.
- 36:48Speaker 1: It is Christine, the mother of McKelty?
- 36:52Speaker 2: Biological mom, yes.
- 36:53Speaker 1: Biological mother. I know a lot about these people. But
- 36:57Speaker 1: the names and things, I'll never be.
- 36:58Speaker 2: Able to– There's so many.
- 36:59Speaker 1: Yeah. I'll never be able to– I don't even understand
- 37:01Speaker 1: what the names are. McKelty is like Michael K.
- 37:04Speaker 2: Everything's a Y. Yeah, everything's got a Y in it.
- 37:06Speaker 1: And there's like a Trudy or a Truly or a– Truly, yeah. Truly, yeah.
- 37:11Speaker 2: We jokingly call her Trudy too because that's always the
- 37:14Speaker 2: thing is that it's like Cody doesn't know his own
- 37:16Speaker 2: kids' names too.
- 37:17Speaker 3: So there's a few– Hasn't seen Truly in a while.
- 37:19Speaker 2: When he was announcing moves and he's like, son, I
- 37:21Speaker 2: know you're very upset about this, son.
- 37:23Speaker 1: Yeah, and he just says that because he's like, this
- 37:25Speaker 1: kid is wearing a t-shirt and shorts. Must be a boy.
- 37:27Speaker 2: General kid. General kid. Kid in the house.
- 37:30Speaker 1: That show's coming back. You guys pumped?
- 37:33Speaker 2: Oh, yeah. Oh, yes.
- 37:34Speaker 3: They dropped a preview this morning of Mary talking about
- 37:37Speaker 3: splitting up their photos, and she already seems to have
- 37:40Speaker 3: a bit of a toot about it, so that should
- 37:42Speaker 3: be very fun to see the three of them get
- 37:44Speaker 3: back together, Mary Janelle and Christine.
- 37:46Speaker 2: The OG3.
- 37:47Speaker 3: See how it goes.
- 37:48Speaker 2: Bringing it back. Yeah. Okay. No Cody and Robin this season, so.
- 37:52Speaker 1: But Cody and Robin are not. on the season or
- 37:54Speaker 1: they're just not filming with the others.
- 37:56Speaker 2: They said that they're not on it.
- 37:58Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 37:58Speaker 1: I mean, they're in the picture though. They're in the
- 38:00Speaker 1: promo picture.
- 38:02Speaker 3: They fade away.
- 38:03Speaker 2: They get faded out.
- 38:04Speaker 1: Oh, dramatic. We all have those staple pieces in our

- 40:01Speaker 1: And tell them that we sent you. You know how
- 40:04Speaker 1: sometimes you see those social media posts like, what's in
- 40:07Speaker 1: your bag? Okay, no one's ever asked me, but I'll
- 40:09Speaker 1: tell you what's in my bag. I've always got my
- 40:11Speaker 1: breath mints. my reading glasses, my wallet, my keys, and
- 40:15Speaker 1: my Thrive Cosmetics Liquid Lash Extensions Mascara and their Focus
- 40:20Speaker 1: Eyeshadow Palette. It has a mirror so you can check
- 40:23Speaker 1: yourself before you wreck yourself and you leave the house
- 40:25Speaker 1: and you look crazy. No, you won't because you've got
- 40:27Speaker 1: your amazing mascara and your eyeshadow palette. And lately, I'm
- 40:32Speaker 1: super into Thrive's Lasting Mark Lip Defining Stain. It's also
- 40:37Speaker 1: a great thing to have in your bag. Sometimes a
- 40:39Speaker 1: lip stain will like dry out your lips. but this
- 40:41Speaker 1: one feels hydrating and almost like your bare lips instead
- 40:44Speaker 1: of being dry and like goopy. And it doesn't smudge
- 40:48Speaker 1: or do anything like that. Don't you just hate when
- 40:50Speaker 1: you put it on and it feels goopy? Not with
- 40:52Speaker 1: this one. This one is stains your lips, stays all day,
- 40:55Speaker 1: and it's perfect. So I can throw on Thrive's mascara
- 40:58Speaker 1: and this lip stain and then use my eyeshadow palette
- 41:01Speaker 1: for a mirror. I can be ready to go out
- 41:03Speaker 1: into the world and face the day. And you know,
- 41:06Speaker 1: with every product purchased, Thrive Cosmetics donates products and funds

- 41:20Speaker 1: of Thrive's products are 100% vegan, cruelty-free, and made with clean,
- 41:25Speaker 1: skin-loving ingredients that work with your skin and not against it.
- 41:29Speaker 1: So get your new everyday favorites with 20% off your
- 41:33Speaker 1: first order at thrivecosmetics.com. slash pink shade. That's Thrive Cosmetics, C-A-U-S-E-M-E-T-I-C-S.com
- 41:45Speaker 1: slash pink shade. And then tell me what you got.
- 41:49Speaker 3: So the other thing that's very interesting is they had
- 41:52Speaker 3: a house that was purchased nearby to where they were
- 41:56Speaker 3: all living in Flagstaff that production used. And that house
- 42:00Speaker 3: was listed for sale like a month ago. So- it
- 42:05Speaker 3: makes you wonder like Cody and Robin might never be
- 42:09Speaker 3: coming back to the show. If they're getting rid of
- 42:11Speaker 3: the house where like, I think that's where they had
- 42:13Speaker 3: the studio set up where they would do the couch interviews.
- 42:16Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 42:18Speaker 3: So that was like, they're selling that house.
- 42:19Speaker 2: It was like by coyote pass. They don't have coyote
- 42:21Speaker 2: pass anymore since they sold that too. So maybe it
- 42:25Speaker 2: was because of that, but I think it's, it was
- 42:27Speaker 2: also close to Robin and Cody's house where they were living.
- 42:31Speaker 2: And so then now they've moved to the other side
- 42:33Speaker 2: of town. They bought a bigger house.
- 42:35Speaker 3: And quit.
- 42:35Speaker 2: And quit the show. So it's like, well, yeah, don't
- 42:37Speaker 2: need that. But what would.
- 42:38Speaker 1: They do for work and money?
- 42:40Speaker 2: This is a great question. This is a great question.
- 42:43Speaker 3: Cody supposedly sells pew-pews.
- 42:45Speaker 2: Yeah, or like pew-pew accessories at shows. So like that's
- 42:50Speaker 2: most of that, like what he's been doing. There's photos
- 42:55Speaker 2: of him at various shows and things of those meetups
- 43:00Speaker 2: and stuff.
- 43:01Speaker 3: I don't know what else because it seems like they
- 43:04Speaker 3: spend a lot of money.
- 43:05Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 43:05Speaker 3: So they need a lot of money on.
- 43:08Speaker 1: Bad artwork, if I recall correctly.
- 43:11Speaker 2: Oh, yeah.
- 43:12Speaker 3: Bear sculptures and David Yerman jewelry and dollies.
- 43:16Speaker 2: Instruments, too. Yeah, they had two pianos at the house
- 43:19Speaker 2: that they had to pack up. So there's a lot
- 43:21Speaker 2: of stuff. A lot of stuff.
- 43:23Speaker 1: I'm getting a lot of Pandora bracelets energy is what I'm.
- 43:27Speaker 2: Yes.
- 43:31Speaker 1: No shade to Pandora.
- 43:32Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 43:32Speaker 1: All shade to Pandora bracelets. They're terrible. Okay.
- 43:35Speaker 2: Sorry.
- 43:35Speaker 1: I was trying to walk it back. I was like, why? Okay.
- 43:40Speaker 1: All right. So let's talk about Salt Lake City. So
- 43:43Speaker 1: this is one of the Bravo shows that you guys watch.
- 43:46Speaker 1: And it's funny that it all just ties into like,
- 43:49Speaker 1: you know, all the, the Mormons and everything. It's, it's,
- 43:52Speaker 1: It's interesting at the beginning when you told me that,
- 43:54Speaker 1: I was like, I'm sensing a pattern. I'm sensing a pattern.
- 43:58Speaker 1: It would be hilarious if you guys like dropped that
- 44:00Speaker 1: backdrop behind you and it was a window and it
- 44:02Speaker 1: was like the Salt Lake Mountains. Like you guys were
- 44:05Speaker 1: just right there. You guys were just right there in
- 44:08Speaker 1: the mountains. Yeah.
- 44:10Speaker 3: Temple windows.
- 44:11Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 44:12Speaker 2: You can see it from our house. Wow.
- 44:15Speaker 1: Amazing. Salt Lake City. Now, what were your thoughts on
- 44:21Speaker 1: how they handled the death of Robert Jr.? They opened
- 44:26Speaker 1: with it and lots of people think that it was
- 44:30Speaker 1: handled well and lots of people think that they understand
- 44:35Speaker 1: why Mary wouldn't want to leave the show because she's
- 44:36Speaker 1: got to kind of keep going and not just sit
- 44:38Speaker 1: around and wallow. Other people think, you know, this is
- 44:43Speaker 1: a problem she might be relieved that it's over for
- 44:47Speaker 1: her because probably it doesn't go so well with... It's hard.
- 44:51Speaker 1: It's very hard to have someone in your life that's
- 44:53Speaker 1: an addict that you're trying to help. So what are
- 44:57Speaker 1: your overall thoughts?
- 44:58Speaker 3: I do think that they handled the episode really well.
- 45:02Speaker 3: Bravo does a very good job of finding moments of
- 45:05Speaker 3: levity in things that are very hard to talk about.
- 45:09Speaker 3: And they handled it, I think, in a very... responsible
- 45:14Speaker 3: way and it was impressive that the cast was on
- 45:18Speaker 3: their best behavior because they're not known for that well
- 45:23Speaker 3: they were for a little.
- 45:24Speaker 1: Bit and then Whitney wanted everybody to know she's on
- 45:27Speaker 1: another hill and journey and she doesn't want to pretend
- 45:31Speaker 1: that they're all friends because she's trying to hell from
- 45:34Speaker 1: her hill and journey of when she said bad things
- 45:36Speaker 1: on stage when she was drunk She had to bring
- 45:39Speaker 1: that up at the end just to be like, don't
- 45:40Speaker 1: forget I did something terrible in the off season that
- 45:43Speaker 1: we got to discuss so I can stay on the show.
- 45:45Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah.
- 45:46Speaker 3: Yeah. We go hard on her. I really don't enjoy Whitney.
- 45:50Speaker 3: I find her very disingenuous.
- 45:52Speaker 2: So, okay. Well, we need to caveat this too. Carly
- 45:55Speaker 2: is incredible. Incredibly biased when it comes to Real Housewives
- 46:01Speaker 2: of Salt Lake City.
- 46:01Speaker 3: I love Lisa Barlow and I know that that's not
- 46:04Speaker 3: a take that a lot of people are on the
- 46:06Speaker 3: same side with.
- 46:07Speaker 2: Ride or die.
- 46:09Speaker 1: I love Lisa Barlow too because she's such a great housewife.
- 46:14Speaker 3: Yes, that's what I'm saying. She's delusional.
- 46:17Speaker 1: Totally. Okay, as long as you're aware.
- 46:19Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 46:21Speaker 1: Okay, okay. You don't love her like, God, I know
- 46:24Speaker 1: that she'd be so much fun to go and have
- 46:26Speaker 1: a drink with. And we would be great friends. You
- 46:27Speaker 1: love her in the sense that. She's so delusional. She's
- 46:31Speaker 1: a great housewife.
- 46:32Speaker 2: I absolutely would not ever want to be friends with
- 46:34Speaker 2: her because you know that all she does is talk
- 46:37Speaker 2: about you when you're not there.
- 46:38Speaker 3: Oh, you never get off the phone.
- 46:39Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 46:39Speaker 3: All she does is call you and talk for four
- 46:41Speaker 3: hours straight about herself.
- 46:43Speaker 1: And then she doesn't even know what your husband's name is.
- 46:47Speaker 1: Do you have kids? Do you have dogs? Do you
- 46:48Speaker 1: have a job? She knows nothing about you.
- 46:50Speaker 3: Yes. But you're such good friends.
- 46:52Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 46:53Speaker 1: Such good friends.
- 46:53Speaker 2: Great friends. Right, right, right.
- 46:55Speaker 1: I love– I can't remember what– I think it was
- 46:59Speaker 1: on Salt Lake, but I can't be sure. When they
- 47:02Speaker 1: asked somebody at the reunion, do you know her children's names? What?
- 47:09Speaker 1: Was it on Salt Lake? I feel like they asked
- 47:11Speaker 1: Lisa Barlow, do you know the name of Whitney's children?
- 47:15Speaker 1: Or something like that. That is such a hilarious question
- 47:19Speaker 1: because this is a very, very, very quick side quest.
- 47:24Speaker 1: Our best friends, since I was 23 years old, They
- 47:28Speaker 1: live right down the street. Our kids have basically been
- 47:31Speaker 1: raised all together. We're all best friends. Our kids are
- 47:33Speaker 1: all raised all together. We're all best friends. This is
- 47:37Speaker 1: my girl, best friend, and our families. The husband, who
- 47:40Speaker 1: was also very close, when my son, who, again, we
- 47:45Speaker 1: live right down the street, was like three, he was
- 47:48Speaker 1: running around in the kitchen of their house. They were
- 47:50Speaker 1: having a big party. And I looked at my best
- 47:53Speaker 1: friend's husband and said, do you know his name?
- 47:57Speaker 2: And he goes, Who?
- 47:59Speaker 1: I go, my son. And he goes, yeah. I go,
- 48:03Speaker 1: what is it? And he goes, Jack. It's like, no,
- 48:07Speaker 1: it's John. He's so bad with names. And he is
- 48:14Speaker 1: so like openly like, I don't know who all these
- 48:17Speaker 1: kids are in my house. I'm like, well, two of
- 48:19Speaker 1: them are mine. And he's like, I don't know where they,
- 48:21Speaker 1: all these kids came from in my house. So it
- 48:23Speaker 1: would always be like, well, that one belongs to your parents.
- 48:26Speaker 1: Best friend from college, son. I don't think so. He
- 48:29Speaker 1: just is so, so hilarious like that. And I think
- 48:33Speaker 1: that's a good question to ask people. Like, okay, this
- 48:37Speaker 1: person has been your best friend for 10 years. What's
- 48:41Speaker 1: their dog's name? They've had that dog for nine years.
- 48:43Speaker 1: What's their dog's name?
- 48:45Speaker 3: And Lisa would be drawing a lot of blanks.
- 48:47Speaker 2: Oh, yeah. Lisa would be changing topics, yeah.
- 48:51Speaker 1: She would be like, Meredith, did I hit all my
- 48:55Speaker 1: high points? Meredith, get out your piece of paper. Meredith.
- 48:59Speaker 1: I thought they handled Robert's death very well. I love
- 49:04Speaker 1: how Cousin Joe is now just the person that Mary's
- 49:07Speaker 1: going to film with. They're like, Cousin Joe is now
- 49:10Speaker 1: the only person in your family that speaks to you.
- 49:13Speaker 3: We had to go back and be like, who is
- 49:15Speaker 3: this guy?
- 49:16Speaker 2: Who is this?
- 49:17Speaker 3: And then we're like, oh, okay.
- 49:18Speaker 2: Okay, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah.
- 49:20Speaker 3: It's not Robert Sr. He's not going to be filming.
- 49:22Speaker 2: Because did you watch the TLC doc with... Oh, yeah.
- 49:25Speaker 2: That was all... Yeah, the hit piece on.
- 49:28Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 49:29Speaker 2: That was brutal because it was just like, okay, this is...
- 49:34Speaker 2: She's such a complex character, right? Where it's hard... obviously
- 49:39Speaker 2: you're going to feel bad for anybody in that scenario.
- 49:41Speaker 2: Like that's a horrible situation to be in. No parent
- 49:45Speaker 2: should have to deal with the death of their child.
- 49:47Speaker 2: So like that in and of itself is just like, okay,
- 49:50Speaker 2: we've established that part. But also Mary has not been
- 49:54Speaker 2: the most respectful when it comes to other people's passings.
- 49:58Speaker 2: And that's been a documented history of that. So it's
- 50:01Speaker 2: just like to get upset with the way some people
- 50:04Speaker 2: react to that is where it's like, I don't know.
- 50:07Speaker 1: I don't know. This is so difficult because if you
- 50:10Speaker 1: bring that up, yeah, it's hard.
- 50:13Speaker 2: It's hard.
- 50:14Speaker 1: It's hard because if you watch the documentary and that
- 50:16Speaker 1: whole family that talks about seeing her flippantly talking about
- 50:22Speaker 1: their sister, mom, daughter that was like, I don't know,
- 50:26Speaker 1: she rolled off her thing and she flipped the car
- 50:28Speaker 1: and she flew out the sunroof and, oh, she's dead.
- 50:31Speaker 1: Let's make cookies. And you're like, whoa. And then to
- 50:34Speaker 1: have that family say, We've known her for 40 years.
- 50:38Speaker 1: And for her to talk about my child like that
- 50:41Speaker 1: when she knew this person, it wasn't like a stranger.
- 50:44Speaker 1: It wasn't like her congregation is 60,000 people and this
- 50:48Speaker 1: was a stranger to her. The congregation is 30 people.
- 50:51Speaker 1: She knew them very well. So that is interesting. And
- 50:56Speaker 1: for some people to be like, well, maybe she's happy
- 51:00Speaker 1: to have a new storyline so people could talk about
- 51:02Speaker 1: her church. I'm like, I don't want to go that far.
- 51:05Speaker 1: Because her child died. God, it is very complex. But
- 51:11Speaker 1: as far as Bravo, they did handle it well. Now,
- 51:15Speaker 1: when is she going to come back? And then how,
- 51:17Speaker 1: you know, we've seen her in some clips going forward.
- 51:20Speaker 1: But as of now, we have Lisa Barlow arranging a
- 51:24Speaker 1: ski day and she doesn't ski.
- 51:27Speaker 2: Right.
- 51:28Speaker 3: To be fair, it was an apres ski party. So
- 51:31Speaker 3: after skiing. Upper ski means after ski. That's what she
- 51:36Speaker 3: was in it for.
- 51:37Speaker 2: She was focusing on the after skiing.
- 51:39Speaker 3: The party, the snacks, the conversation after skiing.
- 51:43Speaker 1: That's what I like. That's what I like. We have
- 51:48Speaker 1: some friends who have a ski house now and they
- 51:51Speaker 1: were telling us all about, oh, we're up at nine
- 51:52Speaker 1: and the lifts open at 930. You got to leave
- 51:55Speaker 1: the house at nine. You got to ski out. You
- 51:56Speaker 1: got to be in all this. And I was like,
- 51:58Speaker 1: I don't want to do that. I don't want to
- 52:00Speaker 1: do any of that. And they go, that's okay. Like,
- 52:03Speaker 1: if you come, you don't have to. They're like, you
- 52:05Speaker 1: could just come to Apres Ski. I go, well, what
- 52:07Speaker 1: time does that start? They're like, that starts like at three.
- 52:09Speaker 1: I'm like, that is perfect timing for me. I can
- 52:11Speaker 1: sleep till noon. I could do a little shopping.
- 52:14Speaker 2: Done deal.
- 52:16Speaker 1: And I don't have to put on those big boots.
- 52:18Speaker 1: You know?
- 52:19Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 52:19Speaker 1: You could still put the boots on.
- 52:22Speaker 3: You could get the whole.
- 52:24Speaker 3: I think that's why Lisa did it, was she just
- 52:26Speaker 3: wanted to dress up.
- 52:27Speaker 2: It was very dumb and dumber, though. Like, Jeff Daniels
- 52:30Speaker 2: in Dumb and Dumber, like, for where it was just
- 52:33Speaker 2: went out to the nines, getting all the gear, and
- 52:36Speaker 2: then going out for it. So that part of it,
- 52:40Speaker 2: that's the overwhelming part for me, where it's like, I
- 52:42Speaker 2: don't ski. I don't do the skiing stuff. Anytime people are,
- 52:46Speaker 2: it's like, I've been in situations where there's an opportunity to,
- 52:50Speaker 2: and I'm like, I don't have. Why? any of this
- 52:53Speaker 2: stuff like i'm gonna spend thousands of dollars on all
- 52:57Speaker 2: this stuff or you have to go i guess yeah
- 53:00Speaker 2: yeah it was like you have to go rent stuff
- 53:02Speaker 2: i don't have any of this stuff i'm not or
- 53:04Speaker 2: if i'm traveling out of state and then it's like
- 53:05Speaker 2: what i'm gonna bring this on a plane with me no.
- 53:08Speaker 1: Who was afraid of the chairlift.
- 53:11Speaker 2: I'm trying to remember oh man so that was angie
- 53:13Speaker 2: angie was like okay Out of control for most of
- 53:18Speaker 2: the time when she was on the skis, she wasn't
- 53:20Speaker 2: in full control of her body at any point. It
- 53:23Speaker 2: was just kind of up to the universe at that point.
- 53:25Speaker 1: And she's very short. She's low to the ground, so
- 53:28Speaker 1: she would be safe. But I also am terrified of
- 53:32Speaker 1: a ski lift. And sometimes there are things like that,
- 53:35Speaker 1: you know, like, oh, you can just hop on this
- 53:37Speaker 1: thing to go up to the mountain. I'm like, no, no.
- 53:41Speaker 1: I went skiing one time in ninth grade, and I'm
- 53:44Speaker 1: scarred for life from it. And the ski lift is
- 53:48Speaker 1: so scary because you have to do it just right.
- 53:51Speaker 1: And if you don't, you're going on your face. And
- 53:54Speaker 1: then you have to get off just exactly right. No,
- 53:56Speaker 1: I felt that. I felt that. I felt it. Now,
- 54:00Speaker 1: do you have thoughts on Meredith's new face? Oh, boy.
- 54:02Speaker 2: I saw her wig because she didn't dress the wig.
- 54:07Speaker 2: So then it was like, well.
- 54:09Speaker 3: How are we not going to talk about the wig?
- 54:12Speaker 3: She needs to adjust the wig. It's sliding throughout her segments.
- 54:17Speaker 2: And we did an episode of Plathville with wigs one time.
- 54:20Speaker 2: So Carly has experienced a wig slide.
- 54:25Speaker 1: You were in a wig?
- 54:27Speaker 3: Yeah, we dressed up as Ethan and Mariah.
- 54:29Speaker 2: I had to do my Ethan Plath voice. I had
- 54:32Speaker 2: to get my Ethan Plath wig.
- 54:36Speaker 1: I need to see that.
- 54:37Speaker 2: Some setups, yeah. We'll send you some clips. It's horrifying.
- 54:40Speaker 2: We'll send you some clips.
- 54:42Speaker 1: What about you were Mariah, but which Mariah were you?
- 54:47Speaker 1: Was there several?
- 54:47Speaker 3: The dark-haired Mariah.
- 54:49Speaker 1: The long black, the Morticia?
- 54:51Speaker 3: Yes.
- 54:51Speaker 2: Yeah, Montana Mariah, I guess, if that's the action figure
- 54:56Speaker 2: line that we would be.
- 54:57Speaker 1: Putting that box on it. So pretty recent Mariah.
- 55:01Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 55:02Speaker 3: Yeah, it was the last season.
- 55:03Speaker 2: Mm-hmm. Yeah.
- 55:04Speaker 1: Okay, okay. Yeah, more recent. I didn't know if you
- 55:07Speaker 1: were because where we are in our rewatch, we're in
- 55:09Speaker 1: season five where she's like super white blonde, but she's
- 55:13Speaker 1: dressing in all black and she's starting with the tattoos.
- 55:16Speaker 3: Right.
- 55:16Speaker 2: Yeah. So she looks great. Rebel stuff.
- 55:20Speaker 1: Rebel.
- 55:21Speaker 2: Rebel. Black heart.
- 55:22Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 55:23Speaker 1: Black heart. Rebel. But now that she's been baptized, she's
- 55:27Speaker 1: just rebelling against the devil.
- 55:29Speaker 2: Different. Yes. Yeah. You take that energy and you direct
- 55:34Speaker 2: it at the bad guy and then you're good. Then
- 55:36Speaker 2: you're good.
- 55:37Speaker 1: And then maybe you allegedly develop a drug problem and
- 55:40Speaker 1: have to move to Montana.
- 55:42Speaker 2: Maybe.
- 55:43Speaker 3: Inpatient, allegedly.
- 55:45Speaker 2: Inpatient procedures, maybe some sort of facility that we can't
- 55:50Speaker 2: have people come visit because there's too many visitors to
- 55:52Speaker 2: check in and out, those types of things. We'll just
- 55:55Speaker 2: go to a cabin instead. Allegedly. That sort of stuff.
- 55:58Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 55:58Speaker 2: Maybe.
- 55:59Speaker 1: We don't know. We don't know, but that seems possible. Well,
- 56:03Speaker 1: the wig. So I did love, I know you just
- 56:06Speaker 1: said you don't like Whitney, but I did love when
- 56:08Speaker 1: she goes, yeah, I think Meredith Newfest looks great in
- 56:12Speaker 1: the wig too. And I go, she didn't mention the wig.
- 56:15Speaker 1: And she's like, uh-oh, uh-oh.
- 56:18Speaker 3: Yeah, that was funny because it needed to be said.
- 56:20Speaker 2: It needed to be addressed. Yeah, it was amazing.
- 56:22Speaker 3: It was bad. It's like the combination of the wig
- 56:26Speaker 3: and the face are scary together.
- 56:28Speaker 2: I don't get how, the side-by-side where I was like,
- 56:32Speaker 2: She looked better last season.
- 56:35Speaker 1: Yeah. I think now, like somebody said, now she just
- 56:38Speaker 1: looks like the filter that she uses. Yes. Yeah. Sun's off.
- 56:42Speaker 3: I'm like, it's okay to age. That's okay, Meredith.
- 56:48Speaker 2: It's okay to do that.
- 56:49Speaker 1: Well, say it to the person who just had their
- 56:51Speaker 1: face burned off yesterday.
- 56:55Speaker 3: Are you here to compete with Meredith's facelift?
- 56:57Speaker 1: That's right.
- 56:58Speaker 2: That's right.
- 56:59Speaker 1: I'm going toe to toe. I'm going toe to toe. Well,
- 57:03Speaker 1: do you think Lisa Barlow is being bullied this season?
- 57:07Speaker 3: I don't think she will be this season because she
- 57:12Speaker 3: got invited to be on Ultimate Girls Trip.
- 57:15Speaker 1: That's why they're bullying her because they're mad, right?
- 57:18Speaker 3: I think that they've realized that they need to hitch
- 57:20Speaker 3: their start to Lisa Barlow because clearly Bravo has decided
- 57:25Speaker 3: that she is like a cornerstone of this cast. If
- 57:29Speaker 3: they're going to put her on spinoffs. So I would
- 57:33Speaker 3: imagine that there are some people who weren't friendly with
- 57:36Speaker 3: Lisa Barlow before who perhaps will have a change in
- 57:39Speaker 3: attitude this season.
- 57:40Speaker 2: Well, here's the other part. It's like the issues in
- 57:44Speaker 2: the marriage with John that they set up for us
- 57:48Speaker 2: at the end of last season and how they immediately
- 57:52Speaker 2: went back on that where they were like, no, actually,
- 57:54Speaker 2: we're good. We talked about it off camera and we're
- 57:56Speaker 2: totally fine. I think that was because there were so
- 58:00Speaker 2: many other, they can't have three sets of people having
- 58:03Speaker 2: marital issues as storyline on the show because Whitney and
- 58:07Speaker 2: Angie are actually going to get divorced this season. So
- 58:11Speaker 2: I don't. And Bronwyn.
- 58:11Speaker 1: And Bronwyn.
- 58:12Speaker 3: And Bronwyn.
- 58:14Speaker 2: So it was like, okay, so then that would be
- 58:15Speaker 2: four if you're throwing in Lisa having marital issues too.
- 58:19Speaker 2: So I think they were like, we're not going to
- 58:21Speaker 2: be doing that much in the same vein here. So like,
- 58:25Speaker 2: let's shift it around a little bit for what the
- 58:28Speaker 2: storylines are going to be.
- 58:29Speaker 1: Well, I will say that I did appreciate the Lisa
- 58:33Speaker 1: Barlow and John Barlow. I appreciated them sort of speaking
- 58:39Speaker 1: and working it out as like a married couple actually
- 58:42Speaker 1: might do it instead of being like, oh, hell yeah,
- 58:45Speaker 1: you gave me an out. And I'm so glad to
- 58:47Speaker 1: divorce you on the show, which is what we see
- 58:48Speaker 1: a lot. So I was glad that she's like, we
- 58:51Speaker 1: sat down. He apologized for saying this. I apologize for that.
- 58:55Speaker 1: And we worked it out. And I, you know, whether
- 58:57Speaker 1: it's fake or not, I like when you see on
- 59:01Speaker 1: your TV, like, okay, they didn't just come on the
- 59:04Speaker 1: show to get divorced. They're actually going to try to
- 59:06Speaker 1: work it out. Like a real married couple has to
- 59:07Speaker 1: like talk things out. You know?
- 59:10Speaker 2: It's, I mean, it seems like she came on the
- 59:12Speaker 2: show to get divorced, right? Like that was kind of.
- 59:15Speaker 2: It was kind of.
- 59:16Speaker 1: She was so happy to get that casting call. She
- 59:18Speaker 1: was like, this is what I've been hoping for. And
- 59:22Speaker 1: you're going to see how horrible my mother is on camera, everybody.
- 59:26Speaker 2: What a turnaround Muzzy's had this season, too.
- 59:29Speaker 3: Muzzy read the comments.
- 59:31Speaker 1: I think so.
- 59:32Speaker 2: I think so. She's being a little bit more careful
- 59:35Speaker 2: when she sees that red light on. Yeah, she's like, oh, okay.
- 59:38Speaker 2: You okay? She's I'll come sit next to you.
- 59:41Speaker 1: Yeah. Do you want me to touch you? Bronwyn's like,
- 59:44Speaker 1: last season you called me a whore on camera and
- 59:46Speaker 1: said that you wished I would have put my child
- 59:48Speaker 1: up for foster care. So probably don't sit by me, Muzzy.
- 59:53Speaker 3: She's like, do you want a Dr.
- 59:54Speaker 1: Pepper?
- 59:56Speaker 3: You good?
- 59:56Speaker 2: You good? You good?
- 59:58Speaker 3: You going to take me to live in the new house?
- 1:00:01Speaker 2: Yeah. Right.
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: Is there a mother-in-law wing? I'm dying to see the
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: scene that they've sort of teased between Bronwyn and Todd.
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: Eating together.
- 1:00:11Speaker 3: Oh, yeah. How did they get Todd to agree to
- 1:00:14Speaker 3: do that?
- 1:00:15Speaker 2: Why would he? Yeah.
- 1:00:17Speaker 3: He has despised filming up until this point. I can't
- 1:00:20Speaker 3: believe he would agree to come back and film a
- 1:00:22Speaker 3: scene with her.
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: No.
- 1:00:23Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:00:24Speaker 3: With the divorce happening.
- 1:00:26Speaker 2: Kind of wild.
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: I bet it's a, hey, look, Todd, if you can
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: come and film one scene, I'll ask for $ 50, 000 less
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: in that settlement.
- 1:00:37Speaker 3: He got something out of it.
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: Instead of 50%, I'll take 40% of all your money.
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: I will give you.
- 1:00:44Speaker 2: Your Starbucks mugs back.
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: Okay.
- 1:00:46Speaker 3: She's holding them hostage.
- 1:00:47Speaker 2: I'll make sure that they get bubble wrapped and that
- 1:00:50Speaker 2: they're shipped appropriately.
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: There's this rare one from North Korea that you've been
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: dying to get. I can get it, but you're going
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: to have to film with me one time. One time. Well, listen,
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: as always, I love talking to you guys. You're so funny.
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: And I feel like I had sort of a epiphany
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: about y'all in this episode when I realized that all
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: of these things you cover are actually all kind of
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: all go back to extreme religion or polygamy.
- 1:01:25Speaker 3: They're very intertwined.
- 1:01:26Speaker 2: That's for sure. Yeah. Common threads.
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: And I always love talking to people that are as
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: into Plathville as I am.
- 1:01:34Speaker 2: Oh, yes.
- 1:01:35Speaker 3: Yes.
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:01:35Speaker 3: I can't wait to find out when it's coming back.
- 1:01:37Speaker 3: You think the summer or maybe earlier than that?
- 1:01:40Speaker 2: Spring, maybe? They've done earlier. Yeah.
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: I think because they were caught filming Zack and Lydia
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: in Colorado, I think probably spring.
- 1:01:53Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: Right? Because it's a quick turnaround, but they are filming
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: in a lot of locations now, not just.
- 1:01:56Speaker 3: On the farm.
- 1:01:57Speaker 2: Mm-hmm.
- 1:01:58Speaker 3: Right.
- 1:02:00Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:02:01Speaker 3: I can't wait to see it.
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: Whenever we watch it, Keisha will say, does it ever
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: get better with so-and-so? I'm like, oh, no, it gets
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: so much worse. She's like, what? And then this last episode,
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: they were going to Minnesota and they're like, we just
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: know that everything's going to be great for us in Minnesota.
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: And she goes, Mary Payne, are things great for them
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: in Minnesota? I'm like, oh, no, no, no, no, no.
- 1:02:22Speaker 2: Oh, real bad.
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: Things get terrible in Minnesota. More and more, more abuse.
- 1:02:28Speaker 3: What?
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: These people only get.
- 1:02:30Speaker 3: Worse and more emboldened as time goes on. Yeah.
- 1:02:32Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:02:33Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: Yes. And she's also just, she can't believe the change
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: that the rapid change that we're seeing in Kim, you know,
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: she's like to her squirts, to her squirts, to her,
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: to her leopard print. Everything she wears is four sizes
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: too small. No matter what size she is. She always
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: thinks like, if I wear a large, I should put
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: on a medium. If I wear an extra large, I
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: should wear a large. She never understands the, she does.
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: and I don't know if you guys saw, but I
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: did do a recreation of her get ready with me makeup.
- 1:03:08Speaker 3: I did.
- 1:03:09Speaker 2: That was amazing.
- 1:03:10Speaker 3: Her makeup tutorial.
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: Yeah. And I feel like I should do it again
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: because I didn't do it justice. I didn't have the
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: amount of like, eyeshadow to put under my eyes in
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: the right colors and stuff.
- 1:03:25Speaker 3: Well, it's a business expense.
- 1:03:26Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: Maybe I should get a new iPhone. I'm like, I
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: had to up my game. But you know, God bless.
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: She's out there doing things for people that they asked for,
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: which is how do you do your makeup? It's so incredible.
- 1:03:42Speaker 2: Yeah. Between that and the recipes too, because she had
- 1:03:45Speaker 2: her cauliflower crust for her pizzas, right? Yeah.
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: No, it was chicken.
- 1:03:51Speaker 2: I'm sorry.
- 1:03:51Speaker 3: She made a pizza crust made out of chicken.
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: Stop it right now.
- 1:03:57Speaker 3: You have to go look it up.
- 1:03:58Speaker 2: It looked like a cauliflower crust.
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: Yes.
- 1:04:00Speaker 2: It was rough.
- 1:04:01Speaker 3: She was making some very unique recipes.
- 1:04:04Speaker 2: She was trying to say that these were her recipes.
- 1:04:06Speaker 2: And I was like, from what we saw on the show.
- 1:04:10Speaker 2: It was most of your children cooking the meals. She
- 1:04:12Speaker 2: never cooked a.
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: Thing in her life. She just sat back and yelled orders. Yeah.
- 1:04:16Speaker 2: Yeah. It was mostly her just sneaking Diet Cokes in
- 1:04:19Speaker 2: the pantry. Pulling tickets. Yeah. Pretty much.
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: Okay. No, I don't want to see a crust made
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: out of chicken. That's... Disgusting.
- 1:04:33Speaker 3: Very high in protein. It's supposed to help her with
- 1:04:35Speaker 3: her diet. So get back into those squirts.
- 1:04:38Speaker 2: Maybe she blended it up in the juicer.
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: Stop. Remember the Love is Blind guy did that. He
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: was like, this is how I start every morning. And
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: he ground up chicken to liquid and then drank it.
- 1:04:51Speaker 2: Disgusting. Don't do that. There's better ways to do that, right?
- 1:04:55Speaker 2: There's like protein drink.
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: Yeah, just drink bone broth.
- 1:04:59Speaker 2: Yeah, bone broth. Something else.
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: Just eat some chicken.
- 1:05:02Speaker 3: I mean, what are we doing? Why do we need
