Starting September 1, Riverside Drive near Auditorium Shores will see construction as Austin Water installs a new pipe to expand its “Purple Pipe” reclaimed water system—turning treated wastewater into safe, odorless water for lawns, toilets, and industrial cooling. This key project completes the core of the network, making it more resilient to disruptions, with full looped functionality coming soon.
