  Speaker 1: were but it wasn't. It wasn't the best Sunday we

  Speaker 1: we've had. It was kind of mitigated by a lot

  Speaker 1: of the sharp play on a lot of the dogs

  Speaker 1: that you just described. And it's it's a little frustrating

  Speaker 1: when you when you take a position on a lot
• 5:34
  Speaker 1: of these games and end up um, losing the games anyway.

  Speaker 1: I mean, starting with you know, the the Thursday night game,

  Speaker 1: we really uh, we really like Tennessee and we end
• 5:45
  Speaker 1: up losing that game. Anyway. We kind of shaded the Raiders.

  Speaker 1: We kind of like the Raiders. We lose that game.
• 5:52
  Speaker 1: A lot of the games we we called out the
• 5:54
  Speaker 1: Packers we felt after the coaching change would come out
• 5:58
  Speaker 1: pretty strong in their first game. Uh. That so a

  Speaker 1: lot of those games we lose anyway. So that's just
• 6:04
  Speaker 1: part of the part of the business when um, there's
• 6:07
  Speaker 1: not much you can do to to I mean, there's
• 6:09
  Speaker 1: still a good weekend, mainly from killing a lot of
• 6:12
  Speaker 1: parlays on a lot of those public teams. But the

  Speaker 1: Sharp guys, I would say probably had their best weekend
• 6:17
  Speaker 1: of the year. Yeah, it felt like it right, like
• 6:20
  Speaker 1: all the teams I just mentioned had started playing them
• 6:23
  Speaker 1: on the opposite side. You know. The Wise guys were
• 6:27
  Speaker 1: all over the Bears. I mean so yes, all over
• 6:29
  Speaker 1: the Dolphins. Uh, they were on the Browns, they were
• 6:34
  Speaker 1: on the Ravens, they were on Oakland. Yeah, every one
• 6:41
  Speaker 1: of those games and even some of the favorites Detroit
• 6:46
  Speaker 1: against Arizona, that was a bad one for us, and
• 6:49
  Speaker 1: then the Saints Buccaneers, a game that we wished the
• 6:52
  Speaker 1: sharp guys were on. The Buccaneers were not, so that
• 6:55
  Speaker 1: was that was a bad game for the house. So,
• 6:57
  Speaker 1: you know, like I said, I think and I kind
• 7:00
  Speaker 1: of called around town and uh talk to some of
• 7:02
  Speaker 1: my colleagues too, and they kind of echo the same
• 7:05
  Speaker 1: sentiment that, Yeah, the everyone called saying, well, was this
• 7:08
  Speaker 1: your best weekend of the year, and now it wasn't.

  Speaker 1: And and that's the reason why. How do bookmakers commiserate?

  Speaker 1: It's funny that we we have our own little community
• 7:21
  Speaker 1: and it's kind of like we speak our own language,

  Speaker 1: and we can we can really empathize with each other's

  Speaker 1: feelings on uh, particularly around things that you kind of

  Speaker 1: joke about that some of our best bookmaking are on

  Speaker 1: days that we actually lose money or um, you know,

  Speaker 1: like how we could be happy with with a losing

  Speaker 1: day when we know that we did kind of everything right,

  Speaker 1: or or if we're expecting a huge loss like this

  Speaker 1: this Monday night. I think a lot of a lot

  Speaker 1: of people were in jeopardy with the Vikings, and uh,
• 7:53
  Speaker 1: even the properties that lost money with the Seahawks were
• 7:55
  Speaker 1: actually happy because we lost a lot less than we
• 7:58
  Speaker 1: could have lost with the Vikings. Oh god, I can

  Speaker 1: just see like you guys hanging around it, Like where

  Speaker 1: do you guys go when you hang out? You go

  Speaker 1: to like the a bunch of the lamp differs, you know,

  Speaker 1: considered that first game after the coaching change, and I

  Speaker 1: thought they'd come out strong, which they which they did.

  Speaker 1: But I think they're up against it this weekend. If

  Speaker 1: you remember the last time they played, Chicago really dominated

  Speaker 1: most of that game and kind of let the Green

  Speaker 1: Bay back into it at the end. I don't think

  Speaker 1: they make that same mistake again. I think the Chicago

  Speaker 1: teams a much more mature team, uh, much more experienced now.

  Speaker 1: So uh, we opened up five and a half getting

  Speaker 1: a lot of Bears money, way more Bears money than

  Speaker 1: than Packers money. Uh. I could see this line going up,

  Speaker 1: um definitely to six, maybe six and a half by

  Speaker 1: game time. Um, but uh, I don't see a whole

  Speaker 1: lot of support for the Packers on this one. Did

  Speaker 1: This is a brutal game. From my perspective, I really

  Speaker 1: am a huge fan of Philip Rivers. I feel like

  Speaker 1: he's had so many opportunities blown for a variety of

  Speaker 1: flukey reasons. He's got such a good team, um, and

  Speaker 1: then all of a sudden, like he's got this amazing team,

  Speaker 1: he's having a great year, and he's getting upstaged by

  Speaker 1: this wonderkin quarterback in Kansas City who's amazing, And it's

  Speaker 1: like just blotting out the sun that is Philip Rivers.

  Speaker 1: So give me a reason to bet the Chargers. Give

  Speaker 1: me a million reasons. As Gaga would say, man, reason

  Speaker 1: the talent. It's not like it's a bad team that

  Speaker 1: this this is for the division. It's gonna be it's

  Speaker 1: gonna be tough for the Chargers in this one. I

  Speaker 1: the weekend, Like I can only you know, I'm a

  Speaker 1: guy with two kids, and like I've sort of decided

  Speaker 1: the parent who was just disappearing all day Saturday, all

  Speaker 1: day Sunday for football in the fall. So I kind

  Speaker 1: of had to give up Saturdays. I said, all right,

  Speaker 1: I'm not going to do college football as much. I'm

  Speaker 1: not going to be his engaged in college football. And

  Speaker 1: I committed to Saturday as being around. And so I'm

  Speaker 1: around on Saturdays, and I'm not ready to commit to

  Speaker 1: like having a block off four to eleven on a

  Speaker 1: Saturday afternoon to watch these games. Yeah. I mean we've

  Speaker 1: been doing it for so much of years now that uh.

  Speaker 1: I remember having the same sentiments when they started playing
• 18:04
  Speaker 1: the Thursday night games. I was like, you know, can
• 18:06
  Speaker 1: you give me a couple of nights break in between

  Speaker 1: these NFL games. I mean, we're already booked with Saturdays
• 18:12
  Speaker 1: and Sundays and then Monday Night football. Then they had
• 18:14
  Speaker 1: to throw on the Thursday night football is just another night.

  Speaker 1: I had to work late, you know, so but at Saturdays,
• 18:20
  Speaker 1: I'm there anyway, So not a big deal. Okay, so

  Speaker 1: we're talking about you, I guess not talking about me completely.
