UK bars climate scholar Andreas Malm ahead of conference appearance

Andreas Malm, a climate scholar and author of “How to Blow Up a Pipeline,” has been denied entry to the UK ahead of a scheduled conference appearance next week. Immigration authorities informed him that his presence “may not be considered to be conducive to the public good.” Malm was set to speak with Huda Ammori, a co-founder of the banned group Palestine Action, at an event organized by Tribune magazine.
