  There's a voice narrating your life.

  There's a voice telling you who you are,

  what's your worth, what's possible,
• 0:08
  what's already too far gone. There's a
• 0:10
  voice interpreting your pain, sizing up
• 0:13
  your future. And here's what nobody
• 0:15
  wants to say out loud. The voice is
• 0:17
  either God or it's not. It's either the
• 0:20
  truth or it's a lie dressed up in
• 0:22
  familiarity. There's no neutral
• 0:25
  narrator. There's no harmless background
• 0:28
  noise. Every voice you give access to is
• 0:31
  actively building something in you. The
• 0:34
  only question worth asking is who is it
• 0:37
  and what is it building? You know, the
• 0:39
  Holy Spirit spoke something to me about
• 0:42
  the voices uh that I was listening to
• 0:45
  many years ago and taught me this
• 0:47
  principle and I want to share with you
• 0:49
  what he said to me. But before I do, I
• 0:51
  want to remind you of the soul detox
• 0:54
  challenge. It's coming up sooner than
• 0:56
  you think. it. If you haven't yet

  reality, keeping you back from the best

  that God has. The Bible says that

  beloved, I pray that you would be in
• 1:29
  health and prosper even as your soul
• 1:32
  prospers. Your soul prosperity has
• 1:34
  everything to do with your current
• 1:36
  condition. So get into the soul detox

  the Holy Spirit said to me about these

  voices. This is the word of the Lord to
• 2:02
  me, but I believe it's going to bless
• 2:04
  you. So, put on your spiritual ears.

  Here's what I heard the Lord say. There
• 2:09
  are many voices in the world. Some will
• 2:11
  encourage you, some will tear you down,
• 2:14
  others will tear you down under the
• 2:16
  guise of encouraging you. Learn to tune
• 2:20
  your ear to my voice and my voice alone,
• 2:23
  says the Lord, even in the words others
• 2:26
  speak to you. I promise that I will
• 2:29
  always lead you down the right path. My
• 2:31
  path is peaceful. In order to let my
• 2:34
  peace be the final decision maker in
• 2:36
  your life, you sometimes have to stop
• 2:39
  listening to every other voice that
• 2:42
  would distract you from what I am saying
• 2:45
  to your heart. Now, that's a whole word,
• 2:48
  right? There's so many voices. I mean,
• 2:51
  even on this prayer broadcast, there's
• 2:53
  always somebody telling me they don't
• 2:54
  like this, they don't like that. Why
• 2:56
  won't you do this? Why won't you do
• 2:57
  that? If I listen to all those voices, I
• 3:00
  would stop doing this prayer broadcast
• 3:01
  because it's it's it's to to the natural
• 3:03
  mind, it's discouraging, but to the
• 3:05
  spiritually minded, we realize it's the
• 3:08
  enemy and people's wounded souls that
• 3:10
  are trying to take us down to a pit with
• 3:12
  them, and we're not going. And so be
• 3:15
  careful to the voices you listen to. You
• 3:17
  know, there are voices that convict.
• 3:19
  Some people mistake condemnation for
• 3:22
  conviction and they they they they push
• 3:25
  back truth that could help them be set
• 3:27
  free. Anyway, scripture references are

  and it's called self-pity. And don't be

  subtle, you might not even know you're

  listening to it. We're going to pray

  through today. So stick with me for

  about a minute while I just sort of uh
• 6:53
  stir the pot a little bit and uh help
• 6:56
  you understand and get your faith in
• 6:59
  line with what we're all talking about.
• 7:00
  You know, the thing about self-pity, it
• 7:03
  attracts devils. It does. God's not
• 7:06
  inviting you to a pity party. The devil
• 7:09
  will invite you to a pity party or he'll
• 7:11
  come to yours.
• 7:13
  Self-pity, if we're not careful, well,
• 7:15
  it feels justified, right? Well, you you
• 7:17
  know, I don't have this and I don't have
• 7:19
  enough of money and I don't have a
• 7:20
  spouse and I don't have a good job and I
• 7:22
  don't have a nice house. All you know, I
• 7:25
  I if you follow that up with I'm going
• 7:27
  to press into God and I'm going to renew
• 7:29
  my mind and I'm going to I'm going to I
• 7:32
  am a I'm a I'm a victor. I'm not a
• 7:33
  victim. That's fine. But if you
• 7:36
  meditate, wallow, you know, in your own
• 7:38
  juices, self-pity becomes a stronghold
• 7:41
  and it'll drain your faith.
• 7:45
  if it'll dry you out. And so we have to
• 7:48
  cast these things down. There is a
• 7:50
  stronghold called self-pity. Lying
• 7:52
  thoughts that you keep rehearsing. You
• 7:55
  know, who hurt you? Oh, what went wrong?
• 7:57
  It shouldn't have happened. Why me? Why
• 8:00
  me? Why God? Oh, why God? You know these
• 8:03
  things. It's it's these are strategic
• 8:05
  thoughts that the enemy places in your
• 8:07
  mind and it sounds like you. Now, it
• 8:10
  might be you, but it's not always you.
• 8:14
  And if it is you, it's still a lie. You
• 8:16
  know, agreeing with this voice of
• 8:18
  self-pity, uh, it takes you nowhere
• 8:22
  fast. You know, I it it skws your
• 8:25
  perspective. It gives you a a victim
• 8:26
  mentality. It positions you at the
• 8:30
  center of a narrative that should center
• 8:33
  God. Anything self is not good. Self
• 8:37
  righteousness, self- condemnation,
• 8:39
  self-pity, self-self self. We got to get
• 8:41
  our mind off self and get our mind on
• 8:44
  God.
• 8:46
  Amen.
• 8:48
  You disappointment leads to self-pity.
• 8:50
  Uh you know, so we got to detox. We got
• 8:53
  to detox from self-pity. And it's not
• 8:55
  just about positive thinking.
• 8:58
  It's about word thinking. It's not about
• 9:01
  telling yourself everything's okay when
• 9:02
  it's not okay. We're not deceiving
• 9:04
  ourselves. It's about going to war
• 9:06
  against a thought pattern that has
• 9:09
  erected itself against the knowledge of
• 9:12
  God. You got to recognize it. You got to
• 9:14
  name it. And then you got to refuse to
• 9:17
  let it have the final word. God's word
• 9:19
  has final authority in our life. So go
• 9:23

  God. There's no God like you. You are

  powerful. You are mighty. You are holy.

  father. We praise your holy name,

  Father. We thank you and we ask you,

  Lord, to forgive us, Lord. Forgive us.

  Forgive us for wallowing in self-pity.

  Forgive us for keeping so much focus on
• 10:17
  our self instead of on you, the Savior,
• 10:21
  the one who sets us free, the one who
• 10:24
  provides, the one who leads and guides.

  Help us Lord to shift our focus in the
• 10:29
  name of Jesus. Forgive us for this
• 10:31
  unrighteousness. Cleanse us and help us
• 10:34
  in the name of Jesus. In the name of
• 10:36
  Jesus. In the name of Now renounce. We
• 10:40
  renounce. Come on. We renounce the
• 10:43
  identity of victim that self-pity has
• 10:46
  assigned us.
• 10:52
  We declare that we are not victims. We
• 10:54
  are victors through Christ Jesus. and I
• 10:57
  break the power of every narrative that
• 11:00
  positioned you as the wounded center of
• 11:03
  your own story. I thank you, Father. We
• 11:05
  renounce every lie that you have
• 11:08
  forgotten us or passed over us. I thank
• 11:11
  you, Lord. We cancel all agreement with
• 11:13
  the thought that our pain makes us
• 11:16
  special or excused from faith. You've
• 11:19
  given us all the measure of faith. We
• 11:22
  have to release our faith. I thank you,
• 11:25
  Father. We renounce the lie that we
• 11:27
  deserved better and therefore something
• 11:30
  is broken in God's plans for our lives.
• 11:32
  We may have deserved better but we are
• 11:34
  not entitled. We are not going to uh uh
• 11:38
  walk as if we are immune from the fallen
• 11:41
  worlds and the effect of the fallen
• 11:43
  world. I thank you father. We break the
• 11:45
  power of the orphan spirit that fuels
• 11:48
  self-pity and we declare we are sons of
• 11:51
  God. We are daughters of God. We are
• 11:53
  children of God in the mighty name of
• 11:56
  Jesus. And we renounce every tendency to
• 12:01
  interpret difficulty through the lens of
• 12:04
  self-pity rather than your sovereignty.
• 12:07
  Lord, you work all things together for
• 12:09
  the good. Even when bad things happen,
• 12:12
  you turn it around. You make it right.
• 12:14
  You make the crooked places straight. I
• 12:17
  thank you, Father. I declare that what
• 12:18
  God that God is not withholding any good
• 12:22
  thing from us. He's a good God. He gave
• 12:25
  us his son. What more would he not give
• 12:27
  us? I thank you, Father. I break all
• 12:30
  spirits or mindsets of self-centeredness
• 12:33
  that self-pity feeds on. And Father, we
• 12:36
  replace uh this this this this wrong
• 12:38
  thought paradigm with a God
• 12:41
  consciousness, a God centeredness.
• 12:43
  Jesus, you are the center. Be the
• 12:45
  center. I thank you, Father. We renounce
• 12:48
  every comparison that made us believe
• 12:51
  that someone else's blessings exposed
• 12:54
  our lack or our insufficiency. I thank
• 12:57
  you, Father. I break the power of the
• 12:59
  lie that says we are the exception to
• 13:02
  Romans 8:28.
• 13:04
  Romans 8:28 stands true. God works all
• 13:07
  things together for the good to those
• 13:09
  who love him and are called according to
• 13:11
  his purposes. We take that promise. We
• 13:14
  stand on that promise. We war with that
• 13:16
  promise. We are not accepted from that
• 13:18
  promise. I thank you, Father. And we
• 13:20
  renounce the habit of collecting
• 13:23
  evidence for the case against our own
• 13:26
  future. Oh, but this, oh, but don't you
• 13:29
  see how they did this? Oh, don't you
• 13:30
  remember when they did that? And holding
• 13:32
  on to a past that doesn't exist anymore
• 13:34
  so that our future and our hope is
• 13:36
  delayed, stalled, maybe never realized
• 13:39
  because we're stuck in our own self-pity
• 13:41
  mindsets. God, would you help us to
• 13:43
  break through today? We declare that our
• 13:45
  story is not a a tragedy. It's a
• 13:49
  testimony in the making. And so we
• 13:52
  renounce victimhood at its root. And we
• 13:55
  say we will walk into the identity of an
• 14:00
  overcomer right now. We are more than
• 14:02
  conquerors in Christ Jesus. Whatever
• 14:05
  came against us has to has to bow before
• 14:08
  us in the name of Jesus because of what
• 14:11
  he did on the cross. So, Father, I pull
• 14:13
  down every stronghold of self-pity
• 14:16
  that has erected itself in the minds of
• 14:19
  your people in the name of Jesus. I
• 14:22
  demolish every word, every argument,
• 14:25
  every vague imagination, every reasoning
• 14:28
  that exalts itself against the knowledge
• 14:31
  of God in our thinking. In Jesus name,
• 14:34
  we tear it down. Well, we declare that
• 14:36
  self-pity has no legal ground in our
• 14:40
  minds, in our emotions, in our will, in
• 14:44
  our intellect, in our reasoning, in our
• 14:47
  imaginations. We say no m devil. We
• 14:50
  renounce every agreement that we made
• 14:52
  with a spirit of self-pity, knowingly or
• 14:55
  unknowingly. And I take authority over
• 14:59
  every mental fortress. Self-pity built
• 15:03
  in your souls. And we tear it down now
• 15:07
  by the power of the blood and the word
• 15:10
  and the name. I thank you Lord. I
• 15:12
  declare the weapons of our warfare. They
• 15:15
  are mighty through God to the pulling
• 15:17
  down of self-pity strongholds. We pull
• 15:20
  them down. Every high thing must come
• 15:22
  down. We pull them down in the name of
• 15:25
  Jesus. And I command every root of
• 15:29
  self-pity to be ripped out of your
• 15:31
  thought lives in the name of Jesus. I
• 15:34
  uproot it now in the mighty name of the
• 15:37
  most high. And Father, we ask you to
• 15:39
  expose
• 15:42
  to expose every hidden pocket of
• 15:46
  self-pity if we've not recognized it. If
• 15:49
  we don't see it in ourselves, but yet it
• 15:51
  exists. Help us not to lie against the
• 15:54
  truth. Help us not to stay deceived.
• 15:56
  Help us to see it so we can uproot it.
• 15:59
  In the name of Jesus, we pull down the
• 16:02
  mental architecture
• 16:05
  of victimhood that self-pity has
• 16:08
  constructed in our minds. In the name of
• 16:12
  Jesus, we declare that no weapon formed
• 16:14
  against our minds through self-pity
• 16:17
  shall prosper. and we break agreement
• 16:19
  with every self-pittitying narrative
• 16:23
  that we may have rehearsed and we refuse
• 16:26
  to rehearse it again. We put it behind
• 16:29
  us. It's not set before us. Not to the
• 16:31
  right or to the left. It is behind us.
• 16:34
  We press on. We press past those things
• 16:36
  that are behind. We press on to the
• 16:38
  prize of the mark of the high calling. I
• 16:41
  thank you, Lord. I bind that that that
• 16:43
  strong man that self-pity planted in
• 16:46
  your soul and I cast him out in the name
• 16:50
  of Jesus. And I declare that the blood
• 16:52
  of Jesus cleanses our minds from every
• 16:57
  self-pittitying thought pattern in
• 17:00
  Jesus' name. I declare this stronghold
• 17:03
  is coming down today, not tomorrow, not
• 17:06
  eventually, but right now in this
• 17:09
  moment. I thank you Lord. We silence
• 17:12
  every lying voice that would whisper
• 17:14
  self-pity into our thought life in Jesus
• 17:17
  name. We break agreement with the voice
• 17:20
  that says no one understands what I've
• 17:22
  been going through. That whiny
• 17:25
  self-pity voice, we break agreement with
• 17:28
  it now in the name of Jesus. We cancel
• 17:31
  the word curse,
• 17:33
  that self curse that says this always
• 17:35
  happens to me. We break that in Jesus
• 17:39
  name. We declare that we will no longer
• 17:41
  feed the narrative of what we lost or
• 17:44
  what was taken from us. And we come
• 17:47
  against that internal monologue of
• 17:49
  self-pity. We command you to shut up in
• 17:52
  Jesus name. I break the power of every
• 17:54
  lie that told us God is not fair. No,
• 17:58
  life is not fair, but God is just. So I
• 18:01
  cancel agreement with the thought that
• 18:03
  our situation is unique and therefore is
• 18:07
  hopeless. That's a lie from the pit of
• 18:09
  hell. I silence the voice that compares
• 18:12
  our behind the scenes to everybody
• 18:14
  else's highlight reel. I break the power
• 18:17
  of every self-pittitying statement that
• 18:20
  we spoken over our life. And I declare
• 18:22
  that the enemy has no right to narrate
• 18:25
  our story. We take the pen back in Jesus
• 18:29
  name. Hallelujah. We come against the
• 18:31
  accusing voice that rehearses our
• 18:34
  failures to keep us in self-pity. I bind
• 18:37
  it. I We break agreement with
• 18:39
  hopelessness that self-pity uses as a
• 18:42
  lid over our faith. And we cancel every
• 18:45
  internal agreement with the spirit of
• 18:48
  despair that self-pity ushers in. I
• 18:51
  thank you Lord. We declare that the
• 18:52
  voice of self-pity is a liar and we
• 18:56
  refuse to listen to it any longer in
• 19:00
  Jesus name. Now I uproot every every
• 19:02
  root of bitterness that has been feeding
• 19:05
  the spirit of self-pity in your soul. We
• 19:07
  break the cycle of offense that kept
• 19:10
  restarting self-pity in your life. And I
• 19:13
  thank you Lord. We forgive every person
• 19:17
  whose actions became a trigger for
• 19:19
  self-pity. We renounce the right to hold
• 19:23
  on to hurt as evidence that we were
• 19:25
  wronged. And we break the power of
• 19:27
  unforgiveness that has been a stronghold
• 19:30
  companion to self-pity in the name of
• 19:32
  Jesus. In the I and I uproot that
• 19:35
  jezebelic self-pity that wants to
• 19:37
  manipulate our emotions and distort our
• 19:40
  perspective. We refuse to rehearse the
• 19:43
  offenses of the past as a justification
• 19:46
  of where we are today. So I break every
• 19:50
  toxic soul tie between our identity and
• 19:53
  our wounds. And I uproot every seed of
• 19:56
  resentment that grew from unanswered
• 19:59
  prayers or perceived abandonment. In the
• 20:02
  name of Jesus, I declare that what was
• 20:04
  done to you does not define you. What
• 20:07
  Christ did for you defines you. So I
• 20:10
  break the power of every wound that
• 20:12
  became an open door of uh for self-pity.
• 20:16
  And I command that spirit of offense to
• 20:18
  leave your soul now in the name of
• 20:20
  Jesus. In the name of Jesus. In the name
• 20:23
  of what? And we in the name of Jesus. I
• 20:26
  thank you Lord. Lord help us to renew
• 20:28
  our minds to the power of your by the
• 20:30
  power of your word until self-pity has
• 20:34
  no soil left to grow. We declare that we
• 20:36
  have the mind of Christ and the mind of
• 20:39
  Christ does not entertain self-pity. So
• 20:43
  I command every self-pitying thought to
• 20:46
  be brought captive to the obedience of
• 20:48
  Christ now in Jesus name. I break all
• 20:52
  the neural pathways of self-pity that
• 20:54
  repetition built and we declare new
• 20:56
  pathways of faith and belief in the name
• 20:59
  of Jesus. We declare Romans 8:28 over
• 21:03
  every disappointment self-pity tried to
• 21:05
  claim as its territory. And we fill our
• 21:09
  mind with the truth and we evict every
• 21:12
  lie that self-pity planted in its place.
• 21:14
  And we declare we will not think on we
• 21:17
  will think on things that are true,
• 21:19
  noble, right, pure, lovely, of a good
• 21:23
  report. And so we ask you, Father, to
• 21:26
  help us break the habit of mentally
• 21:28
  rehearsing loss and build the habit of
• 21:32
  declaring God's promises instead. I
• 21:35
  declare that the washing of water by the
• 21:38
  word is dismantling every self-pitying
• 21:41
  thought pattern in us. And we choose to
• 21:44
  set our mind on things above. We refuse
• 21:48
  to let self-pity drag us into the pit. I
• 21:51
  thank you, Lord. I declare that our
• 21:53
  minds are being transformed and we are
• 21:55
  no longer conformed to the pattern of
• 21:57
  self-pity. I break the power of
• 21:59
  repetition that made self-pity feel like
• 22:02
  truth in our thinking. I break it. We
• 22:05
  command our souls to align with our
• 22:08
  spirits and we declare that our spirit
• 22:10
