- 1:13Yep.
- 1:13Click.
- 1:14Done.
- 1:16Done.
- 1:18I'm ready to noise.
- 1:20If you're on the phone,
- 1:21you can just use your finger.
- 1:23If you need to use your mouse, look.
- 1:25Tap it one time.
- 1:27Before we get into this too far,
- 1:31I got a bone to pick, Mr.
- 1:33John George.
- 1:37Okay.
- 1:41At the old folks home.
- 1:44I'm sad that you're suffering,
- 1:46but you can take that sixty three and
- 1:48shove it right up.
- 1:52You know where I was telling Corey up
- 1:55here in Ohio,
- 1:56we can't pick what we want to be.
- 1:58And so Sunday it was shorts weather.
- 2:01Monday I'm shoveling snow.
- 2:03I'm over it.
- 2:04I'm over the up and down.
- 2:06Pick one.
- 2:07If you want to stay winter forever,
- 2:08I can deal with that better than.
- 2:12Picking,
- 2:13just floating on the fence between summer
- 2:15and winter.
- 2:16It's freaking ridiculous.
- 2:19It's the false hope.
- 2:21That's the whole problem, right?
- 2:23It's like,
- 2:23if it's just going to be cold,
- 2:24I can deal with that.
- 2:25I'll leave the heat on.
- 2:26I'll wear a jacket,
- 2:27whatever I got to do.
- 2:28But it's that, oh shit, it's nice outside.
- 2:32The sun's shining.
- 2:33The birds are chirping.
- 2:34All of that good stuff.
- 2:36And then two days later,
- 2:38it's like I'm digging myself out so I
- 2:39can leave out the driveway.
- 2:41Frozen on the ground.
- 2:43Yeah.
- 2:44Yeah.
- 2:44Mark Phillips, you're right.
- 2:45All those disgusting freeloaders just
- 2:48listening in, not subscribing.
- 2:57Vicky says Nashville is forty three right
- 2:59now was twenty eight when I woke up.
- 3:02I think we're supposed to get above
- 3:03freezing at some point during the day.
- 3:07So living in Ohio sounds like the absolute
- 3:10worst punishment.
- 3:12Well,
- 3:12right now it is like it is just
- 3:15the saying here is if you don't like
- 3:16the weather,
- 3:17just wait ten minutes and it'll change.
- 3:22I lived in Tallahassee,
- 3:23Florida for four years, though,
- 3:25and the weather never changed.
- 3:28It was hot, humid and sweaty.
- 3:31Three hundred and sixty days out of three
- 3:33hundred sixty five.
- 3:36Breezy.
- 3:38No breeze.
- 3:38No breeze in Tallahassee.
- 3:40Really?
- 3:41None.
- 3:42Get out.
- 3:42You're an hour from the Gulf,
- 3:44so you don't even get anything from that.
- 3:48It is literally in the armpit of Florida.
- 3:51It feels like an armpit.
- 3:54I would have lost a bit to say
- 3:56that y'all wouldn't get in the Gulf
- 3:57breeze.
- 4:00Mid-nineties in Southern California,
- 4:02and it's not even winter yet.
- 4:05Where's the...
- 4:10Only thing good about that state is rogue
- 4:12fitness.
- 4:14Well, and then we are here.
- 4:18Let's say and Scott,
- 4:19let's go ahead and get that out there.
- 4:21Well, there.
- 4:25Now, Daniel, I you're going too far.
- 4:35john, George, hey,
- 4:36if you want to live the life,
- 4:37hit me up,
- 4:37make my I make dreams come true.
- 4:42Out there in the village.
- 4:44Yes, thank you, Vicky.
- 4:45And Scott.
- 4:50I heard a Roman rogue was there because
- 4:52Scott was there.
- 4:55Yeah,
- 4:55everybody thinks that I'm here because a
- 4:57rogue.
- 4:57Rogue is here because of me.
- 4:58Correct.
- 5:01Yeah, I wish.
- 5:03I wish I got on that train.
- 5:05Right?
- 5:07Dear Bill and Katie.
- 5:10Fifteen years ago when they were meddling
- 5:12in their garage, I wish I had said,
- 5:14hey, need some help?
- 5:15Building pull-up bars by hand.
- 5:19Yeah, that would have been fantastic.
- 5:20Yeah.
- 5:20All right,
- 5:24so I made the title of this show,
- 5:29Colton Can't Win the Games.
- 5:31And I did that because I wanted Kenneth
- 5:33to lap in the chat early,
- 5:36ready to go with both guns of blaring.
- 5:38Oh, he's loaded up.
- 5:39I guarantee.
- 5:41And so I was watching, uh,
- 5:45beyond the whiteboard around the
- 5:47whiteboard, whatever the,
- 5:49I think it's around the whiteboard
- 5:51whiteboard.
- 5:52And so I,
- 5:53I clipped a piece from that and they
- 5:55asked the question,
- 5:58they asked the question,
- 5:59can wit Colton win the games?
- 6:02And, uh,
- 6:03this was basically their response.
- 6:08you read the papers do you know what
- 6:10everybody says it's suicide you know how
- 6:14strong he is you can't win have you
- 6:19read the papers so that's that's directly
- 6:23from around the whiteboard yesterday when
- 6:28they asked that question oh
- 6:33I was tuned in.
- 6:34I had to make a choice yesterday.
- 6:36And as much as I love her on
- 6:37the whiteboard,
- 6:38because I think it's a fun show,
- 6:39I went and listened to Bill and Chase
- 6:42talking about the open instead.
- 6:46So I pose the question to you.
- 6:49Are you with Seth and John and Adrian?
- 6:54Which Adrian?
- 7:01Adrian Balboa.
- 7:01Adrian Balboa.
- 7:06I would not rule it out that he
- 7:08can.
- 7:09I would never rule it out that he
- 7:10can.
- 7:11I just wouldn't do it.
- 7:12I've seen a dude do too many things
- 7:16that people said that he wasn't going to
- 7:17be able to do,
- 7:19and then he just came back and was
- 7:20like, oh, I can't do that?
- 7:23Okay.
- 7:24And just came back and did it.
- 7:26Would I pick him to win?
- 7:27No, not at all.
- 7:30I wouldn't.
- 7:30I think he is better as a perpetual
- 7:32underdog at this point.
- 7:36having said that, the field,
- 7:38the men's field especially,
- 7:40is still ridiculous and still wide-ass
- 7:42open.
- 7:43I mean, just look at last year.
- 7:45It's absolutely insane.
- 7:47Do I think he can?
- 7:49I won't rule it out.
- 7:50I won't say one hundred percent one way
- 7:52or the other.
- 7:52I will be that wishy-washy on-the-fence
- 7:54guy.
- 7:56But I would never rule him out of
- 7:58any competition that he's in.
- 7:59So,
- 8:05I've said it.
- 8:05I've,
- 8:06I have been pretty crystal clear on this
- 8:08show as to whether he can win the
- 8:11games or not.
- 8:13Right.
- 8:13Yeah.
- 8:14And I,
- 8:15I do not believe he can win the
- 8:16games.
- 8:17Sure.
- 8:19There is not a person that I adore
- 8:23on the men's side more than I adore
- 8:26Colton.
- 8:28Right.
- 8:29Um,
- 8:31I,
- 8:32I consider him a friend I've hung out
- 8:34with him after competitions.
- 8:36I have interviewed him tons of times.
- 8:39Um, Ali's awesome too.
- 8:42Like I've, I've hung with them.
- 8:43I know them,
- 8:45but I truly believe that the games are
- 8:49a four day competition.
- 8:51I know it's advertised as three,
- 8:53but we know they're going to the ranch
- 8:54on Thursday.
- 8:57So it's going to be a four day
- 8:58competition.
- 9:00I think in a two-day competition like
- 9:03Mayhem last year or other semifinal type
- 9:08events,
- 9:09he can compete because they're shorter.
- 9:13I think when it comes to the games
- 9:14and more events,
- 9:17the amount he has to overcome to beat
- 9:20people in events becomes larger.
- 9:24And the toll it takes on his body
- 9:26through the weekend is too much for him
- 9:30to win the games.
- 9:34And that's my way of saying that he
- 9:37is proving that on any given day,
- 9:41on any given workout,
- 9:42he can overcome whatever limitation he has
- 9:45with this height and he can beat anybody
- 9:48in the world.
- 9:49But when you put together ten or twelve
- 9:51events,
- 9:53it is too much for his body to
- 9:56take in one weekend.
- 10:00Yeah,
- 10:00you're saying that there's something he
- 10:01can overcome in a couple of events.
- 10:03Having to keep doing that over and over
- 10:05and over again is just going to end
- 10:06up taking its toll where somebody who's
- 10:08just bigger doesn't necessarily have the
- 10:11same amount of problems, right?
- 10:13Right.
- 10:15Yeah.
- 10:16Mike DeVito.
- 10:19Mike says that's the same reason he hasn't
- 10:20podiumed the games.
- 10:22Yeah.
- 10:25I get that.
- 10:26I'm going to put this to you.
- 10:31You said the same thing about him for
- 10:33twenty six point one.
- 10:37I didn't say the same thing about him
- 10:39about I because in any individual event,
- 10:43he can overcome that one event.
- 10:47He is so fit and so able to
- 10:51go to a place that others can't go
- 10:53for one, two,
- 10:56four events that he can win any of
- 10:58those competitions.
- 11:00It's when we get to ten,
- 11:03twelve events that the toll is going to
- 11:07be too much.
- 11:13I didn't pick him to win event one
- 11:15of the Open,
- 11:16but I didn't say he didn't have a
- 11:17chance.
- 11:19No.
- 11:20But as soon as Wall Balls came out,
- 11:21you were probably like, oh, fuck,
- 11:23here we go.
- 11:26No, I...
- 11:28In no way, picking him not to win,
- 11:33was looking at the field and thinking,
- 11:36who has the best shot?
- 11:37I didn't think he didn't have a chance.
- 11:40Like,
- 11:42if you would have asked me that day,
- 11:44I would have said he had a twenty-five
- 11:45percent chance to win that event.
- 11:47You ask me if he can win the
- 11:48games, I'd put it at one percent.
- 11:53Okay, so what about podiums?
- 11:56I don't think so.
- 11:57Again, I think it's too much.
- 11:59And I think because when it falls off,
- 12:02like,
- 12:03and it's an event where his body just
- 12:05can't overcome the obstacle,
- 12:08he gets a thirty-place finish or a
- 12:10twenty-seventh-place finish.
- 12:12And that's too much to overcome on those
- 12:15weekends.
- 12:18You're talking about a guy whose best
- 12:20finish ever
- 12:23Was tenth last year, eleventh?
- 12:25Tenth or eleventh?
- 12:27I'd have to go look it up.
- 12:29Right?
- 12:30Before that was nineteenth?
- 12:32Before that, we were talking,
- 12:34didn't even make the first cut.
- 12:37And the dude's a legend and he's going
- 12:38to go down in history as one of
- 12:40the coolest great athletes we've ever
- 12:44seen.
- 12:45It's just that makeup of that competition
- 12:48is not feasible for him.
- 12:53Twelfth last year.
- 12:56So that's his highest finish ever.
- 13:00And all of a sudden he's going to
- 13:01make a nine place jump to a podium
- 13:05position.
- 13:14sorry i got lost in the comments for
- 13:16a second we we can say that if
- 13:17his rope hadn't but he's not he's still
- 13:20not near podium so but if he's not
- 13:24near podium but he's up nearer the podium
- 13:28than twelfth place i don't know man i
- 13:31just i've seen i'm a big believer in
- 13:36watching people trend and he has been
- 13:38trending upwards since he got here
- 13:40Every time somebody says he can't do
- 13:42something,
- 13:42he comes out the next year and he
- 13:44says, oh,
- 13:44remember when you said I couldn't do this?
- 13:46Well, now check this out.
- 13:48And then the next year comes out and
- 13:49he's, well, he's not real good at this.
- 13:51And then that comes out and it just
- 13:54happens.
- 13:56So, again,
- 13:57I'm not picking him by any stretch of
- 13:59the imagination,
- 13:59but I think that his upside is way,
- 14:05way bigger than his perceived limitations
- 14:09are.
- 14:09Put it to you like that.
- 14:12Dude, I completely disagree.
- 14:14I understand.
- 14:15You can.
- 14:16You're not five foot six.
- 14:20People have been underestimating me my
- 14:22entire fucking life as well.
- 14:24And I love it now.
- 14:25I bank on it.
- 14:27I want to be.
- 14:28I also want all the smoke and I
- 14:30feel like he does too.
- 14:32But he's not five, six either.
- 14:34No, he's two inches shorter than I am.
- 14:35Right.
- 14:36At least.
- 14:39And that is going to play a role
- 14:41in a longer competition.
- 14:45I agree with you when you say when
- 14:47people tell him he can't do this,
- 14:49he goes and does that.
- 14:52But the cumulative effect of having to
- 14:54overcome all of those things that he
- 14:57couldn't do, time after time,
- 14:59event after event,
- 15:01takes a toll on the body that someone
- 15:05that is naturally suited for those
- 15:07movements doesn't have to overcome.
- 15:13And by the end of a long weekend,
- 15:17it takes its toll.
- 15:22The dude has Matt Frazier's.
- 15:25He is more head strong,
- 15:29mindset strong than Matt Frazier.
- 15:34He has no excuses.
- 15:36I love it.
- 15:37None.
- 15:37I absolutely love it.
- 15:39There's absolutely no bullshit in him
- 15:43whatsoever.
- 15:46It's probably my favorite thing about the
- 15:49dude.
- 15:50Nobody trains harder.
- 15:53Nobody has done more to get more out
- 15:56of their, their body than he has.
- 15:59Not even trains harder.
- 16:00Think about the fact that he still runs
- 16:03the pig farm.
- 16:05He still has coatings, teeny weenies,
- 16:08and they're selling soap now.
- 16:09And like,
- 16:09he has all of this shit going on
- 16:11and is still competition ready right now.
- 16:15Right this second.
- 16:16If the game started tomorrow,
- 16:19The one person I know for a fact
- 16:20would be ready to go, games prep ready,
- 16:24knock it out, is Colton Burns.
- 16:27Wayne asks, who's better,
- 16:28Colton or Prime Bridges?
- 16:30The competition Bridges went up versus the
- 16:32competition that Colton is currently going
- 16:35up is night and day.
- 16:37It's not the same thing.
- 16:37Colton would crush Bridges.
- 16:40Yeah, I would agree to that.
- 16:45I agree with that.
- 16:46And it wouldn't even be close.
- 16:47The men's athlete field is so much deeper
- 16:50today than it ever was back then.
- 16:57It is ridiculous what Colton has overcome.
- 17:02Yeah, and look.
- 17:08That's not what I was talking about,
- 17:09but yeah.
- 17:11No, just the moves better, moves better,
- 17:13moves better, moves better.
- 17:14He absolutely moves better than Josh ever
- 17:16did.
- 17:18Ever did.
- 17:19Josh moved pretty well in Colton.
- 17:21It makes him look like somebody who just
- 17:23started down on ramp.
- 17:28So Shana says that a long run isn't
- 17:31good for him.
- 17:32Can he ever make that up?
- 17:33And then Train Olive says, Shana,
- 17:36if he can become a middle of the
- 17:37pack athlete on those events,
- 17:39that will be huge for him.
- 17:40But you're asking him to out-train and
- 17:46out-work his body on a long list of
- 17:50things now.
- 17:53Everything that he's bad at,
- 17:54he's got to be better than anybody else
- 17:56has ever been at his size at.
- 18:00And he's got to do that for six
- 18:03events out of twelve instead of some
- 18:06athletes that have to do that for three
- 18:08or two.
- 18:09And my argument is, yes,
- 18:13he can do that for one event,
- 18:15but doing it over the course of a
- 18:17weekend for six events is too much for
- 18:21the body to take.
- 18:26I'm looking at his scores from last year.
- 18:33see lots of reps to travel distances
- 18:37mid-pack effort for him is a compact
- 18:40pickup truck chasing corvettes game boy
- 18:44have six events last year no so why
- 18:48why is it eight or nine yeah somewhere
- 18:59oh there we go yep i thought there
- 19:00was some
- 19:03James has improved in things that he was
- 19:05bad at and things that aren't typically
- 19:07big guy movement events.
- 19:09But you cannot argue, Trent,
- 19:12that the whole programming of the CrossFit
- 19:18Games has moved to a bigger power output
- 19:25athlete.
- 19:27So not only has Colton overcome all of
- 19:31these things, at the very same time,
- 19:34the programming has moved in a direction
- 19:37where it is all about power output.
- 19:42It is bikes.
- 19:43It is rowers.
- 19:44It is skiergs.
- 19:47It is rope climbs.
- 19:49It is all these things that actually have
- 19:52made it easier.
- 19:54Now,
- 19:54James has been remarkable at his
- 19:56improvement.
- 19:57And James is way younger than Colton.
- 20:00So James had to grow into his own
- 20:02body and get comfortable there.
- 20:05And once he got comfortable,
- 20:07the improvement happened.
- 20:08But along with that,
- 20:10the programming has moved in the direction
- 20:13of a bigger athlete.
- 20:20The, uh, the one where his rope broke,
- 20:21that was all crossed up.
- 20:22Is that right?
- 20:24Yep.
- 20:25That wasn't his worst finish.
- 20:29Yeah.
- 20:29His worst finish was the wrong goal run,
- 20:31obviously.
- 20:35But yeah, the one where his rope broke,
- 20:38I mean, it was still a twentieth.
- 20:41The run-rope run was twenty-six.
- 20:44Got one, two, three,
- 20:50four events outside of the top twenty.
- 20:57Last year.
- 20:58So bottom third on four events.
- 21:01And then two,
- 21:02also had a nineteenth and a seventeenth.
- 21:08won the squad second on hammer down
- 21:13eleventh on throttle up and was still his
- 21:20best games today the first place on on
- 21:23the back squad really really really really
- 21:26helped his case and then uh the second
- 21:28on on hammer down so
- 21:31I unfortunately have been in those
- 21:33situations where I have done really,
- 21:35really well on a couple of events and
- 21:37then just absolutely shit to bed on a
- 21:39couple of other ones.
- 21:40And that's where you end up is somewhere
- 21:42middle of the pack,
- 21:43just kind of middling about because you
- 21:45have to be more consistent.
- 21:47You can't have,
- 21:48you can have one kind of bad event.
- 21:50You cannot have one.
- 21:52Holy shit.
- 21:52This is terrible event because you end up
- 21:55middle of the pack,
- 21:56no matter what else you do.
- 21:57Like you, you just can't,
- 22:02So John George is like, don't,
- 22:03I don't think it's about his ability for
- 22:04his body to hold up.
- 22:06It's just,
- 22:07he is constantly behind the eight ball
- 22:08when there's a dumb ass machine getting in
- 22:11the way on every event.
- 22:13I don't think it's again,
- 22:16we can argue this all we want,
- 22:18but Corey just listed that half of the
- 22:20events,
- 22:22he was in the bottom half of the
- 22:23finishing.
- 22:25More than half.
- 22:26That's a long list of things that he's
- 22:29got to get to mid-level to compete.
- 22:33It's not just one thing.
- 22:37I'll put it to you like this.
- 22:38It is going to be fun to watch
- 22:40him compete this year.
- 22:43like at semifinals and then at the games
- 22:45just to see exactly what the man does.
- 22:48I don't know if there's anybody who's got
- 22:49more hype around him to just out of
- 22:52pure sheer curiosity, if nothing else,
- 22:55Hey,
- 22:56what is this dude going to do this
- 22:57year?
- 22:59There's hype around him too,
- 23:00because he's just a great dude.
- 23:03Right.
- 23:04He is adored and loved in this space
- 23:09because of everything he has done.
- 23:12People would have told him,
- 23:14they did tell him five years ago,
- 23:16you got no shot.
- 23:18You got no shot to make the games.
- 23:21And then he does it, right?
- 23:22And so he becomes the Rocky of CrossFit.
- 23:25He becomes the ultimate underdog.
- 23:28And he probably has more fans than any
- 23:31other athlete at the games.
- 23:34Because he's just a great dude.
- 23:39Who has given more to this than anyone
- 23:43else.
- 23:43And he's willing to take on anybody,
- 23:46any day,
- 23:47any time in a workout and go a
- 23:51mano a mano at any point.
- 23:54He is the best shit talker we have
- 23:56currently.
- 23:57And it's not even close.
- 24:00It's not even close.
- 24:01Like the banter that the boys have,
- 24:03it's not real, right?
- 24:05It's just them messing with each other.
- 24:07It's somewhat real,
- 24:07but it's not really real.
- 24:09When Colton comes out and says,
- 24:11all these nerds knew I was fixing to
- 24:13win this event,
- 24:14he means that from his soul.
- 24:17And he'll tell him before the thing, go,
- 24:18hey, I'm fixing to win this event.
- 24:20You guys know that, right?
- 24:21And he's going to step on the floor
- 24:22and just knock it out.
- 24:24His social media is unmatched.
- 24:27I don't give a damn what anybody says.
- 24:28That one where he just posted like earlier
- 24:31this week,
- 24:32waiting to see if he won the Open
- 24:33when he's just like standing out in the
- 24:34snow.
- 24:36And it's recreating that, bro,
- 24:39it's fantastic.
- 24:41His post-match interviews are absolutely
- 24:45fantastic because he just says whatever's
- 24:47on his brain.
- 24:48It's awesome.
- 24:51And it's come such a far way from
- 24:53when he first showed up because none of
- 24:56that stuff was happening.
- 24:58It's fantastic.
- 25:03Vicky said if he had just hit twelfth
- 25:05place on those events,
- 25:06puts him easily in seventh or eighth
- 25:08place.
- 25:09That's a big jump.
- 25:10And if I win the lottery,
- 25:12I ain't here tomorrow.
- 25:14I would be here tomorrow if you won
- 25:15the lottery.
- 25:17But...
- 25:20There's four events he has to get better
- 25:22on at the games.
- 25:24And not just a little bit better.
- 25:25Twenty-sixth to twelfth is a huge jump.
- 25:30Does he win during the Matt Rich era?
- 25:32No.
- 25:33I don't think he wins.
- 25:35But I do think...
- 25:37I do think he could podium during that
- 25:40era.
- 25:41He could have podiumed during the Rich era
- 25:43for damn sure.
- 25:44Probably during Matt as well.
- 25:46Not when.
- 25:46Nobody was beating Matt.
- 25:48Right.
- 25:48Nobody.
- 25:48And I don't think anybody beats rich.
- 25:53Rich was the best on Sunday we've ever
- 25:55seen.
- 25:55Like he just overcame whatever else was
- 25:57going on.
- 25:57And then he won everything on Sunday and
- 25:59went home with it, with his titles.
- 26:01Could he have podium during the rich area?
- 26:04Absolute era.
- 26:04Absolutely.
- 26:05Also that he could have pulled him during
- 26:06the mat area because who came in second
- 26:09at Brent at Brent, right.
- 26:14religiously over and over again.
- 26:16And he would have been right there in
- 26:19that mix.
- 26:20Lucas, Hoagberg, like, you know,
- 26:22those type of guys who,
- 26:24aside from Pat and Brent,
- 26:25like Hoagberg showed up that year ready,
- 26:29ended up on the podium,
- 26:30and then you haven't really heard from him
- 26:31since then.
- 26:34Pat and Brent have hung around and been
- 26:37reliable as far as that kind of stuff.
- 26:39You know what you're going to get out
- 26:40of them year after year.
- 26:42But I think Colton,
- 26:43if he'd have been in his prime,
- 26:46in his bag,
- 26:47whatever you want to call it,
- 26:48during those years, then he'd absolutely,
- 26:51if he'd have been who he is now,
- 26:52then sure, he'd actually,
- 26:54I think he would have definitely got on
- 26:55the podium.
- 26:57Now, David Reed says, if Hopper can win,
- 26:59Colton can win.
- 27:01I really think you guys are blinded by
- 27:02your love for Colton.
- 27:06Hopper is a freak athlete.
- 27:10And
- 27:12And he did win the games.
- 27:14Look at his finishes last time, last year.
- 27:18Like, it was consistent.
- 27:21You guys are nuts.
- 27:23And to be honest,
- 27:25I love that you love him that much.
- 27:28I love that you guys love him that
- 27:29much because I do too.
- 27:32I just am looking at the facts and
- 27:34there's no possible way.
- 27:36So Hopper's worst finish was a seventeenth
- 27:39on throttle up.
- 27:41Second worst finish was an eleventh on
- 27:43running Isabel.
- 27:45Everything else was inside the top ten.
- 27:48And he won climbing couplet and came in
- 27:52second on going dark, third on Atlas.
- 27:55That's hard to argue with.
- 28:05Remove the machines and Hopper doesn't
- 28:07win.
- 28:08You can say that about any champion from
- 28:11any games and take away an element and
- 28:14say that they don't win.
- 28:16Remove the rope climb from Rich Froning.
- 28:18He never falls off of it and wins
- 28:19the game.
- 28:20Instead of four.
- 28:20Yeah.
- 28:24You can throw those hypotheticals.
- 28:26And if you think we're getting rid of
- 28:27the machines at this point, you're high.
- 28:35You've been dipping into the Alex Kazan
- 28:37gummies.
- 28:45We experienced this with Spieler.
- 28:47Colton is our Boise State.
- 28:49Or in March Madness,
- 28:50he's our Loyola Chicago.
- 28:52Exactly.
- 28:54And that's why he's adored because he's
- 28:55overcome so much to get so far.
- 28:58And when people told him he couldn't do
- 29:00it and,
- 29:02and I love that people love him that
- 29:05much, but you cannot be,
- 29:07you just cannot be looking at it from
- 29:11an analytical side and think that he has
- 29:15a chance.
- 29:20The hypotheticals make me think it's
- 29:21finally a real sport.
- 29:23Right?
- 29:24This is what baseball guys do all the
- 29:25time.
- 29:27Well,
- 29:27if Babe Ruth went up against Roger
- 29:29Clemens,
- 29:31he wouldn't have won a single signing
- 29:33award.
- 29:34Absolutely.
- 29:36If the professor would have been pitching
- 29:38to Bo Jackson,
- 29:40he wouldn't have hit all them or whatever.
- 29:41Like, man, it's not the same thing, dog.
- 29:44It's really, really not.
- 29:45Baseball guys do it.
- 29:46They love stats.
- 29:47They will throw that kind of stuff all
- 29:49the way down.
- 29:52CrossFat says,
- 29:53Colton's putting me in some FOS now for
- 29:55that comment.
- 29:56I am sure that I am moving right
- 29:58to the top of the list.
- 30:00You know what?
- 30:01Good.
- 30:01But if it makes him better and he
- 30:03wins, I would be happy.
- 30:05If, honest to God, if he won,
- 30:08nobody would be happier for that dude than
- 30:10I am.
- 30:11Well, maybe Kenneth.
- 30:12Probably Kenneth.
- 30:13Probably Kenneth.
- 30:14Probably Kenneth.
- 30:15Other than Kenneth,
- 30:16no one would be happier.
- 30:18then I would be not even,
- 30:19not even Allie.
- 30:21I am.
- 30:22I adore that dude.
- 30:23I'm just looking at it from an analytical
- 30:26sense and saying it just,
- 30:28it's not going to happen.
- 30:31All those teams that CrossFit mentioned,
- 30:33how many of them won the national
- 30:35championship?
- 30:38Yeah, that'd be none.
- 30:38Zero.
- 30:39They had some upsets.
- 30:41They had some big wins.
- 30:43They did some great things.
- 30:44We all were super pumped and we all
- 30:46watched to see how far they go.
- 30:48But at the end of the day,
- 30:49it was Duke and Kentucky and all the
- 30:52people that we thought were going to win
- 30:53in the first place.
- 30:57It's very,
- 30:58very rare that the Cinderella story
- 31:00actually ends in a happy ending.
- 31:02Right.
- 31:05That's why it's a fairy tale.
- 31:07Exactly.
- 31:09And the only time we see the happy
- 31:10ending is when we turn on a Disney
- 31:11movie.
- 31:18Yeah.
- 31:18CrossFit, you're wrong too.
- 31:20Colton does not peak for the open.
- 31:22Colton has always peaked.
- 31:26Sorry, Mike.
- 31:28Colton's ready to go at any given time.
- 31:29Ask him.
- 31:30He will tell you.
- 31:31He is ready to go right now.
- 31:34Colton falls under that.
- 31:35If you stay ready,
- 31:37you don't have to get ready every single
- 31:40time.
- 31:46If Babe Ruth went against Shohei,
- 31:48he'd say some bad words.
- 31:50Some real bad ones.
- 31:55Some real bad ones.
- 31:56That one hit me.
- 31:58Some World War II bad ones.
- 32:00You know what I'm saying?
- 32:04Yes,
- 32:04Colton would have been an absolute problem
- 32:08from twenty twelve to twenty eighteen.
- 32:10I believe that if Colton was taller,
- 32:12y'all would.
- 32:16But he's not.
- 32:18Again, more hypotheticals.
- 32:22Pick him to win if he was taller.
- 32:23Sure, but he's not.
- 32:29So.
- 32:34Colton would have been a problem in twenty
- 32:35twelve.
- 32:36I think he's on the podium in twenty
- 32:39eighteen.
- 32:40Look at Colton doing push pull.
- 32:44Or what is two-stroke pull?
- 32:48Bro,
- 32:49that would have been a race right there.
- 32:52Colton doing, even before then,
- 32:54or not before then, after then,
- 32:56Colton doing strongman's fear.
- 32:59If Wemby was shorter,
- 33:00he wouldn't be Wemby.
- 33:03And Shanna says, if Colton were taller,
- 33:05he wouldn't be Colton.
- 33:06If Colton would be taller,
- 33:07we would not be talking about him like
- 33:08we are.
- 33:09Right.
- 33:10He'd just be another guy.
- 33:12He'd be in the top,
- 33:14but because he is who he is,
- 33:16he's special.
- 33:18A hundred percent.
- 33:21And because I am the king of transitions.
- 33:24Here we go.
- 33:25Vicky's helping me out today.

- 34:32and you will receive a famous reward.
- 34:37What do they say in Christmas Story?
- 34:40A major award.
- 34:41A major award.
- 34:42You will receive a major award if you
- 34:45win either bracket.
- 34:49Most of us just want Jamie to lose.
- 34:51Keep Jamie from getting the major award.
- 34:54Mostly, we just need Jamie to lose.
- 34:56That's it.
- 34:56It really doesn't matter what else
- 34:57happens.
- 34:57We just need Jamie to lose.
- 35:03The March Madness music is already in my
- 35:05head, but I never need a Dickie V.
- 35:06Charles Booth again.
- 35:08Yeah.
- 35:10I just saw highlights.
- 35:13It's time for him to move on.
- 35:16He's always looked old,
- 35:18but I saw the highlights from that this
- 35:19morning, and he looks...
- 35:21real old right now i didn't realize how
- 35:24bad he actually cancer does that to
- 35:26anybody man imagine brother but good nest
- 35:29and dv all due respect retire brother um
- 35:34fragile it must be fragile uh um so
- 35:48anyway
- 35:51Oh, not two times, six times.
- 35:54And he's in his eighties.
- 35:57Bless him.
- 36:01So, so yeah, that kicks off tomorrow.
- 36:03So before tomorrow's show,
- 36:05you need to be signed up or you
- 36:07miss out on the tournament challenge.
- 36:11I think I'm going to sign up this
- 36:12year.
- 36:12Just see if I can get Jamie knocked
- 36:14out.
- 36:14I have absolutely no idea who's winning
- 36:15anything in college basketball,
- 36:17but I'm just going to start going and
- 36:18pick games.
- 36:20tell you on the women's side I have
- 36:22LSU in the final four I mean I
- 36:25would never bet against LSU not the
- 36:27women's team men's team I would bet
- 36:29against them all day long but not so
- 36:33much the women's um all right we that
- 36:38took up way more of what I thought
- 36:40about
- 36:44i did want to talk a little bit
- 36:45about something i heard with wadapalooza
- 36:46and that was that and i think jenny
- 36:51said it on her on her dense update
- 36:52this morning would she go back next year
- 36:55after the experience she had and mark
- 37:00phillips i just said i have him in
- 37:02the final four i didn't say i'm winning
- 37:04anyway so and that's on the women's side
- 37:07i do not have them on the men's
- 37:08side
- 37:11she was saying that would she go back?
- 37:12And she did say she had a lot
- 37:14of fun,
- 37:15even with all the weather and the chaos
- 37:17and the whatever.
- 37:18Right.
- 37:19Every time I went to what a Palooza
- 37:24in the airport on the way home,
- 37:26I would bump into athletes.
- 37:28And every time they're like, wow,
- 37:30that was a shit show.
- 37:33That was awful.
- 37:34I'm never coming back.
- 37:36And then the next year I would go
- 37:38to water Palooza and those same athletes
- 37:40are signed up for water Palooza doing
- 37:43water Palooza.
- 37:46And so I think in the moment when
- 37:48all that chaos happens, you think, well,
- 37:51that was awful.
- 37:52And I don't ever want to come back
- 37:54again.
- 37:55And then as time goes by,
- 37:58and especially thus in the north,
- 38:00it gets cold and you,
- 38:02you get distance from that.
- 38:04And you're like, you know what?
- 38:04It wasn't so bad.
- 38:06At least it was warm rain.
- 38:09Right.
- 38:10It's spring rain instead of January rain
- 38:13like it normally is.
- 38:17So...
- 38:19It's going to be interesting to see the
- 38:20effect this year to next year.
- 38:23It's going to be interesting to see if
- 38:24they stay in March.
- 38:25Are they going to get the subsidy again
- 38:28to keep it in March?
- 38:30Or do they move back to January when
- 38:32maybe they get more bigger-named athletes
- 38:35to come?
- 38:38I think all the big names were in
- 38:39the teams,
- 38:41and we missed out on some tremendous races
- 38:44in the team side because it just never
- 38:46really got off the ground.
- 38:47No, I mean...
- 38:49Individual side,
- 38:50it was James and everybody else.
- 38:56I mean, he was undeniable, man.
- 38:57Good Lord.
- 38:58It's like a bad ex-girlfriend.
- 38:59You break up at the airport,
- 39:00eleven months go by,
- 39:02then you think that it wasn't so bad,
- 39:05and bam, rain again.
- 39:08Well, it's recency bias.
- 39:12Oh, yeah, here we go.
- 39:13Nothing colder than a cold November rain.
- 39:20One of the longest videos I've ever seen
- 39:22in my entire life.
- 39:23It's reasonably biased why you're still at
- 39:25the airport, right?
- 39:26You said the airport,
- 39:27your clothes are still wet because you
- 39:28just got rained on again.
- 39:30You just remember shivering and holy shit,
- 39:32that was stupid.
- 39:33And I was just doing strict pull-ups with
- 39:34a vest on in the rain.
- 39:35And I'm not ever doing that again.
- 39:37That's absolutely ridiculous.
- 39:40And then you go home,
- 39:41and then you dry out,
- 39:42and then springtime happens,
- 39:43and the rest of the season goes by,
- 39:44and then all of a sudden the qualifiers
- 39:45come up for Waterpalooza, and you're like,
- 39:49yep, I'm gonna sign up for that.
- 39:52Because then you start looking back on it,
- 39:53and you start laughing about what happens.
- 39:54Sorry.
- 40:01The chat's on fire today.
- 40:02The chat is on fire today.
- 40:05With the Colton thing,
- 40:06the chat's on fire today.
- 40:07The chat's on fire today.
- 40:10And you start looking back on it and
- 40:11you're like, I mean, it wasn't so bad.
- 40:14It wasn't so bad.
- 40:15I mean, it was bad,
- 40:16but it wasn't so bad.
- 40:17I mean, I still had fun.
- 40:18I still talked to this person.
- 40:20I still did that.
- 40:21I still, you know, you know,
- 40:25you make memories, whether good, bad,
- 40:27or indifferent.
- 40:28You know, I don't think
- 40:33I hate to say it's a wait-and-see thing,
- 40:34but I really don't think most of those
- 40:35people who are like, oh,
- 40:36I'm never going back,
- 40:38actually mean that they're never going
- 40:39back.
- 40:40I think that those people with that kind
- 40:41of disciplined take on it,
- 40:45I guess you said,
- 40:46when they say I'm never going back,
- 40:48they mean a few and far between,
- 40:50especially in this space.
- 40:51There's only so many competitions you can
- 40:52do.
- 40:53There's only one that's on South Beach in
- 40:55Miami.
- 40:58Right, wrong, or indifferent,
- 41:00thunderstorm or no thunderstorm,
- 41:01it's just where it is.
- 41:04So we had November rain,
- 41:06and then CrossFit says,
- 41:07probably better than the rains down in
- 41:09Africa.
- 41:09That's what I was laughing at.
- 41:12And then Joseph comes in with,
- 41:13as long as it's not a purple rain.
- 41:16Now,
- 41:16purple rain in Miami for the Super Bowl
- 41:20with the Bears versus the Colts may have
- 41:23been the greatest halftime performance
- 41:25ever in a Super Bowl.
- 41:26Not may have been.
- 41:28Was.
- 41:31Because it was like...
- 41:33They just called down the rain.
- 41:34It just happened out of nowhere because it
- 41:36was not fake rain.
- 41:37It was an actual rainstorm.
- 41:41Then there was another piece I wanted to
- 41:42bring up here real quick.
- 41:46Oh, here.
- 41:47I bet James and Lucy will be back
- 41:48for their third Z straight win.
- 41:51The chat is on fire.
- 41:53Third Z straight win.
- 41:55Don't forget, Code Jazzy.
- 41:57It's beautiful.
- 42:04And Here Comes the Rain Again was being
- 42:06played all day long by the Eurythmics.
- 42:11Oh, my gosh.
- 42:13I always wonder,
- 42:14have you ever seen the rain coming down
- 42:20on a sunny day?
- 42:26Oh, who stopped the rain?
- 42:27I mean,
- 42:27there's a whole lot of songs about rain,
- 42:29couldn't there?
- 42:30There is, man.
- 42:31Too bad we weren't sponsored by rain.
- 42:34You know what?
- 42:35I'm okay with that.
- 42:36I'm okay with that.
- 42:39However,
- 42:40if Ghost is laying around on C-Force,
- 42:43though... Yeah.
- 42:46We'll take it.
- 42:47CCR does talk a lot about the rain.
- 42:49That's a fact.
- 42:49That's because they grew up in Louisiana.
- 42:52I mean, what are you going to do?
- 42:55Just don't set fire to the rain.
- 42:57All right,
- 42:57now you're moving into too much modern
- 42:59music for me.
- 43:00That Adele stuff...
- 43:02I can't hit the Adele notes, Joseph.
- 43:04Now you're asking too much.
- 43:06Nor am I going to try.
- 43:07All right.
- 43:10Here's my last rant of the day,
- 43:12and then I've got to get back to
- 43:13work.
- 43:14Okay.
- 43:15I was watching the WOD Prep podcast from
- 43:17last night because they did another one
- 43:20because everybody bailed on CJ Monday
- 43:22night.
- 43:22So they did one last night,
- 43:24and it ended up being John, Brian, Friend,
- 43:27and CJ.
- 43:30They were complaining about...
- 43:33Wait,
- 43:34John was complaining about something?
- 43:35Get out of here.
- 43:36They were complaining about...
- 43:38CJ was making a valid complaint about
- 43:42didn't like invites to semifinals and
- 43:45didn't like the fact that Mayhem programs
- 43:48every event of semifinals when they are a
- 43:52coaching group of athletes, right?
- 43:56Absolutely.
- 43:57And he said a lot of nice things
- 43:59about...
- 44:01mayhem in the process,
- 44:02but was saying those are two things he
- 44:04didn't like.
- 44:05And Brian was saying, well,
- 44:06they're playing by the rules they were
- 44:07given, right?
- 44:09Those are the rules that are out there.
- 44:10And I don't debate that at all.
- 44:12But then he made a statement that it's,
- 44:17and he didn't mention any names because
- 44:19that's what he's good at,
- 44:21is he was saying that the person running
- 44:24the CrossFit game season allows all this.
- 44:31What pissed me off is you're blaming Dave
- 44:36for the structure of the CrossFit game
- 44:38season like he independently created it.
- 44:46I am sure as shit that if Dave
- 44:50Castro had his druthers,
- 44:52we would be back to two thousand
- 44:54seventeen,
- 44:55two thousand eighteen with the open,
- 44:59with regionals, with the games.
- 45:02Other people made decisions,
- 45:05financial at first,
- 45:08to go away from that structure.
- 45:11Yeah.
- 45:12Because they went away from that
- 45:14structure,
- 45:15we have been the dog trying to catch
- 45:18his tail,
- 45:19trying to figure this out ever since then.
- 45:24So the fact is,
- 45:26it's not just Dave making the structure of
- 45:29the season.
- 45:30Now it's probably Berkshire and the board
- 45:33saying, you can do this.
- 45:35No, you absolutely cannot do this.
- 45:38You cannot do that.
- 45:40We need to put it in the hands
- 45:41of the third party.
- 45:43So they're running semifinals.
- 45:45So it gets rid of all of our
- 45:46costs, all of our liability,
- 45:49and we have nothing to do with it
- 45:50anymore.
- 45:53You think Dave wanted to give up control
- 45:55of the semifinals?
- 45:57Of all people.
- 46:01To blame him for that thing is one
- 46:08of the most preposterous things I've ever
- 46:10heard.
- 46:11There is no way Dave Castro ever wanted
- 46:14to give up control of the structure of
- 46:16the season.
- 46:18Here's the fun part.
- 46:19He said defending Rich and saying, well,
- 46:23they're just working within the structure
- 46:24that they're given as if Dave isn't.
- 46:28As if Dave is not in the same
- 46:29boat at that point.
- 46:31Dave is a soldier.
- 46:32Yes, he is in charge of stuff.
- 46:34He is a high ranking,
- 46:34but Dave does what Dave is told to
- 46:36do by his higher ups.
- 46:39Period.
- 46:40End of story.
- 46:41Does he have some input?
- 46:42I'm sure he does.
- 46:43He just said earlier this week that
- 46:46That if it was up to him,
- 46:49we would still be doing regionals.
- 46:51But it's not.
- 46:54Dave has some Ikea furniture with half the
- 46:57parts,
- 46:57no drawings on how to assemble and a
- 47:00Swedish name table.
- 47:05Easy.
- 47:07Easy.
- 47:09Easy.
- 47:10Fair,
- 47:10but I think a couple of easy-ish fixes
- 47:13are at least no camps should program
- 47:15semifinals,
- 47:16no invites qualifiers outside the
- 47:18quarterfinals.
- 47:19That's assuming you think he has the
- 47:21ability to say that.
- 47:23Right.
- 47:25There's no way he has the ability.
- 47:27They needed to get,
- 47:29after the Lazar Jukic thing,
- 47:31the board's intention was to remove as
- 47:35much liability from CrossFit as possible.
- 47:40And I know that has never come out
- 47:41publicly,
- 47:42but you'd have to go a long way
- 47:44to convince me otherwise.
- 47:46Yeah.
- 47:47You know,
- 47:47there were lawsuits over that death.
- 47:51And after those lawsuits, that board said,
- 47:54get our name out of their mouths and
- 47:57let's give as much liability to everybody
- 48:00else and not with us.
- 48:03And because of that,
- 48:04you lose all the control.
- 48:07all the control after the open and before
- 48:11the CrossFit Games?
- 48:17The invite thing, I don't like it either.
- 48:20As a matter of fact,
- 48:21I would almost say vehemently against it
- 48:23because I know several people that got
- 48:24invites that if you got an invite to
- 48:27a semifinal already,
- 48:28what are you doing quarterfinals for?
- 48:32What are you even bothering with it for?
- 48:33You can just go do the workouts, log,
- 48:37walk through them basically,
- 48:39log some kind of time,
- 48:41and then send it through because you
- 48:44already got an invite to the semifinal.
- 48:47So that's not a level playing field at
- 48:50that point because you got an invite ahead
- 48:52of time.
- 48:53I think that the invite thing is probably
- 48:55part of whatever deal that they made with
- 48:58all the people who are hosting semifinals
- 49:00now because they're like, okay, well,
- 49:01if I'm going to run this,
- 49:02I'm going to run it my way.
- 49:06And that involves I'm going to invite
- 49:07these people and I'm going to invite
- 49:09whoever I want because it's my semifinal.
- 49:11I'm having it at my place.
- 49:12It's my dollars that are putting this up.
- 49:15I think let me see the mayhem stamp
- 49:17as a stamp of legitimacy,
- 49:21otherwise no named events too.
- 49:24I don't disagree with you at all.
- 49:25And they're playing within the rules are
- 49:26given,
- 49:27but to put the blame of the rules
- 49:30on just Dave Castro is so short-sighted.
- 49:34The fact that you're boycotting everything
- 49:36until Dave is removed from that position
- 49:41tells me that you don't know much about
- 49:43the structure of the way CrossFit works
- 49:44today.
- 49:51The semifinals operate like weird
- 49:53conference tournaments.
- 49:54Yeah, the Big Ten has their rules.
- 49:56The SEC has their rules.
- 49:58The Big Twelve have their rules.
- 49:59And their tournaments are run in a
- 50:01different cadence and format from each
- 50:03other.
- 50:04And that's how the semifinals go.
- 50:09And that's Ortega's thing.
- 50:15Quarters are needed.
- 50:16What if they don't do good now?
- 50:19And now their invite is not part of
- 50:21semis just ran semis run just a
- 50:25competition.
- 50:27That's what I'm getting at.
- 50:28Like people that I know that got invites
- 50:32to semifinals.
- 50:34Do they still need to
- 50:37Do they even still need to do
- 50:38quarterfinals?
- 50:38I'm sure they need to do them, right?
- 50:40You have to participate in the season.
- 50:42That part I do know.
- 50:43But do you still have to be in
- 50:44a qualifying position at this point?
- 50:46Because that's what my goal is next
- 50:49weekend is to finish as high as I
- 50:51can in the quarterfinals to hopefully get
- 50:53an invitation to go compete in person for
- 50:57an in-person semi.
- 51:01You have to be in the top two
- 51:02thousand at quarterfinals.
- 51:06That's not hard to do.
- 51:08It's just not.
- 51:13A board certainly offloaded liability as
- 51:14well as financial burdens.
- 51:17Exactly.
- 51:25And yeah,
- 51:25Dave's leash has shortened and grown
- 51:27multiple times throughout history.
- 51:29Yes.
- 51:30Depends on who's in charge.
- 51:34Even when Greg was there,
- 51:35even when Greg was there,
- 51:36Dave was not the boss.
- 51:38No.
- 51:45Top four hundred for Masters.
- 51:46Very doable.
- 51:47And few of us already have already
- 51:49qualified for semis,
- 51:51which makes quarterfinals basically a
- 51:53chore.
- 51:55Speaking of, we need to point out.
- 51:59Lito to finish top fifty in the world.
- 52:01Yeah.
- 52:02As a Masters athlete.
- 52:04ridiculous not only that she finished
- 52:08third in her age group and the only
- 52:12people above her were the first and second
- 52:13place finishers at the games last year
- 52:18yeah caroline klutz and lito lito's fit
- 52:24it's ridiculous so huge shout out to her
- 52:28huge kudos for all that she's accomplished
- 52:30in this open
- 52:32And I'm sure all she wants to do
- 52:33is get on to semifinals at this point.
- 52:36Right.
- 52:36Cause she had that kind of a performance
- 52:38in the open where you want to get
- 52:39to quarters to like show what you really
- 52:41have.
- 52:43Right.
- 52:48When do quarterfinal invites go?
- 52:50I think soon.
- 52:51Cause.
- 52:51Twenty-third.
- 52:52Twenty-third.
- 52:53Twenty-third.
- 52:54Eighteenth now.
- 52:55So five days from now.
- 52:56Five days from now,
- 52:57which I think is Monday,
- 52:57if I'm not mistaken.
- 52:58Okay.
- 53:01No thanks needed.
- 53:03You deserve every bit of the praise and
- 53:05flowers.
- 53:07Miss Lito.
- 53:08Miss Lito.
- 53:12But I'm pretty sure that's Monday.
- 53:14They're also releasing the workouts on the
- 53:17Games Channel Monday at noon,
- 53:20which means that we're going to have...
- 53:24Forty days to figure it out.
- 53:26And they're probably going to give us
- 53:27passwords that we have to say on camera
- 53:29before we can actually start.
- 53:32Um, yeah, I, I don't,
- 53:35do you remember the real,
- 53:36I made it from last year when Jamie
- 53:39and Carolyn said the same phrase over and
- 53:40over again,
- 53:41and I clicked them all together.
- 53:45I know how they feel.
- 53:45Yeah.
- 53:46I know how they feel.
- 53:47It's, uh, it's awkward.
- 53:53I'll say that it's awkward.
- 53:57Uh, Greg,
- 53:57at times we'll get a bug to control
- 53:58the games than other,
- 54:00but otherwise would care less.
- 54:02Agreed.
- 54:03But when the games were at their pinnacle,
- 54:07at the height of their popularity,
- 54:09selling out in a day,
- 54:13that's when Greg decided to get in and
- 54:14change everything.
- 54:18Yeah.
- 54:26Lito, your guess is as good as mine.
- 54:28Whether there's going to be one submission
- 54:29window or more,
- 54:31I'm sure they'll let you all know that
- 54:32on Monday.
- 54:33I'm hoping because they start Thursday and
- 54:40I have a job.
- 54:43Most of us Masters athletes still,
- 54:46you know,
- 54:46have a nine to five to clock into
- 54:48and out of.
- 54:49So I'm hoping that it's just, you know,
- 54:52get them done over the weekend whenever
- 54:53you can,
- 54:53get them turned in before Monday or
- 54:55whatever the case is and just kind of
- 54:58move on from there.
- 55:05Yeah, I have something there,
- 55:06but we don't have time today.
- 55:12Yeah.
- 55:13Anyway,
- 55:14usually the first submission window is
- 55:15Saturday at noon.
- 55:17And then second one is Sunday at noon
- 55:20Eastern.
- 55:21Um, that's usually doable even if work.
- 55:28It depends.
- 55:28It's going to depend on how many,
- 55:29on how many we get as well.
- 55:32So anyway, all right.
- 55:36Uh,
- 55:40If my kid made quarterfinals,
- 55:42I'm just letting you know,
- 55:43they don't need to go to school on
- 55:44Friday.
- 55:48Let's get this done.
- 55:48This is an opportunity.
- 55:53That's my opinion.
- 55:56Say what you will about my parenting.
- 55:58I think you do it pretty good.
- 56:01No employer has asked me what my high
- 56:03school geometry grade was.
- 56:05As it turns out.
- 56:07As it turns out.
- 56:08And nobody asked what I got is my
- 56:10overall grade in high school.
- 56:13Life is full of experiences.
- 56:15Don't miss out on the good ones.
- 56:17That's what I'm saying.
- 56:19One percent.
- 56:23You don't have you don't really have to
- 56:25do the mile run one anyways.
- 56:29Flashing back to last year's team.
- 56:31Dude, I watched, well,
- 56:34I saw the highlights of chasing the mom
- 56:37company team around with the camera.
- 56:41It was great.
- 56:42It was fun to watch.
- 56:44Yeah.
- 56:46David Reed,
- 56:47we plan on pulling our daughter out from
- 56:48school one for quarters.
- 56:51I would too, man.
- 56:53Cheers.
- 56:55Solid parenting.
- 56:55I would do the same.
- 56:56Thank you, Joseph.
- 57:00I remember when Annie and Camille were
- 57:05here at Rogue and they were doing a
- 57:08workout.
- 57:09And I pulled my daughter out of school
- 57:10to go hang out with them because those
- 57:12were her two heroes when she was doing
- 57:14CrossFit.
- 57:15And she wasn't even working out.
- 57:17We just went down to watch them and
- 57:19get a picture with them.
- 57:21And she still has it hanging in her
- 57:23apartment.
- 57:25Yeah, I would too.
- 57:28Life is full of cool things.
- 57:30Don't miss them over high school when
- 57:34nobody's going to care in twenty years.
- 57:37Hold on, Vicky.
- 57:42I agree with you, Vicky.
- 57:45I want to know why she's not competing.
- 57:51Because she damn sure made quarterfinals.
- 57:59Oh,
- 57:59I'm messaging her here in a little bit.
- 58:02I want to know what that's about.
- 58:04You made quarterfinals, Vicky.
- 58:05You are fit.
- 58:06You should be competing in quarterfinals.
- 58:10iPhone really showed that you won't have a
- 58:11calculator in your pocket someday, crowd.
- 58:15I'll be talking to people about culture or
- 58:18whatever, and I'm like, hold on,
- 58:19let me do some math with this calculator.
- 58:21Every teacher I ever had said I wasn't
- 58:22going to have it every single moment of
- 58:24my life.
- 58:33One hundred percent agreed.
- 58:34Parents here get fined for pulling kids
- 58:37out of school without reason, though.
- 58:40Damn.
- 58:40Wow.
- 58:45Like Nike told the Michael Jordan,
- 58:48go ahead and wear them.
- 58:49We'll pay the fine.
- 58:52Absolutely.
- 58:54Definitely DM me because maybe I'm not
- 58:56understanding it all correctly.
- 59:07All right, there we go.
- 59:09All these people that are saying they have
- 59:11business competing, that's not true.
- 59:13Your fitness through the open showed that
- 59:16you do have business competing and seeing
- 59:19what you can do for quarterfinals so that
- 59:21next year you can take all the things
- 59:22that you learned, which are data points.
- 59:25and apply them to your training to get
- 59:27better at them for next year.
- 59:30Yes, if you made quarterfinals,
- 59:32you are worthy of competing.
- 59:35Unless your movement is trash and you just
- 59:37lied about your scores, yes,
- 59:40you should be competing.
- 59:44And with that, and with that.
- 59:49It's my positive rant.
- 59:50Like and subscribe, people.
- 59:51We don't want any more freeloaders in
