- 0:00[SPEAKER_01]: There's another way to figure out what's going on inside you.
- 0:03[SPEAKER_01]: And Tara doesn't actually tell you anything new.
- 0:06[SPEAKER_01]: It echoes what you already know and maybe what you're ignoring.
- 0:12[SPEAKER_01]: When you rock hard, and Tara, the card has some sort of meaning.
- 0:18[SPEAKER_01]: Welcome to the be it till you see it podcast where we talk about taking messy action, knowing that perfect is boring.
- 0:25[SPEAKER_01]: I'm also Logan, prize instructor, and fitness business coach.
- 0:29[SPEAKER_01]: I've trained thousands of people around the world, and the number one thing I see stopping people from achieving anything is self-doubt.
- 0:37[SPEAKER_01]: My friends, action brings clarity, and it's the antidote to fear.
- 0:43[SPEAKER_01]: Each week my guests will bring bold, executable, intrinsic and targeted steps that you can use to put yourself first and be it till you see it.
- 0:53[SPEAKER_01]: It's a practice, not a perfect, let's get started.
- 0:57[SPEAKER_01]: Take it away!
- 1:03[SPEAKER_01]: Welcome back to the VATTC in every recap where my co-hosts and life are going to dig into these soulful soulful soulful soulful soulful soulful soulful soulful soulful soulful soulful combo I had with Francis Nade in our last episode.
- 1:16[SPEAKER_01]: If you haven't yet, listen to that interview, feel free to pause this now and go back and listen to that one and then come back and do it.
- 1:21[SPEAKER_01]: You guys, this is the episode that kicked off my hobby.
- 1:26[SPEAKER_01]: This is the one.
- 1:27[SPEAKER_00]: And as a bystander of set hobby, I am going to tell you, Leslie has been incredibly consistent.
- 1:35[SPEAKER_00]: What this hobby?
- 1:36[SPEAKER_00]: Which is?
- 1:37[SPEAKER_00]: What four or five months?
- 1:38[SPEAKER_01]: Well, when did I enter you her six months?
- 1:40[SPEAKER_00]: I don't have any idea.
- 1:41[SPEAKER_01]: From the time that this laylist into this and then the time I interviewed her, I think we're out six months, four months.
- 1:47[SPEAKER_01]: At any rate, I went full in on it like the ADHD woman that I am, where you buy all the things.
- 1:54[SPEAKER_01]: My life makes so much sense now that I know that that's part of ADHD.
- 1:57[SPEAKER_01]: You just July.
- 1:58[SPEAKER_01]: July.
- 1:59[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 1:59[SPEAKER_00]: July.
- 2:00[SPEAKER_01]: So in this is January.
- 2:01[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 2:02[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 2:02[SPEAKER_01]: So I bought all the things that one would need to study a taro three different study guides and a app.
- 2:10[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 2:11[SPEAKER_01]: But unlike all the other things that I have tried out, I have still been using all of the things.
- 2:16[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 2:16[SPEAKER_01]: And there's a deck in every room.
- 2:18[SPEAKER_01]: You can draw a card at any time.
- 2:19[SPEAKER_00]: And you're, you know, reading about it, writing, no, reading, writing, no, just then it's been a great.
- 2:24[SPEAKER_01]: I really like it.
- 2:25[SPEAKER_01]: And so, but the time you listen to this, I will have started drawing a card for each day, so that I can do self-reflection daily.
- 2:33[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 2:34[SPEAKER_01]: So anyways, there we are.
- 2:35[SPEAKER_01]: But in both, okay,
- 2:40[SPEAKER_00]: they do not know.
- 2:41[SPEAKER_00]: What is today?
- 2:42[SPEAKER_01]: Today is January 15th, 2026, and it's Wikipedia day.
- 2:47[SPEAKER_00]: Wikipedia day.
- 2:48[SPEAKER_01]: So, and just so you all know, you can start getting ready because my birthday is coming up.
- 2:51[SPEAKER_01]: It's not yet, but it's coming up.
- 2:53[UNKNOWN]: Did you?
- 2:54[SPEAKER_01]: My 15th is in a case.
- 2:56[SPEAKER_01]: Well, we don't know.
- 2:57[SPEAKER_00]: Just making sure that everyone else, that is nothing to do with Wikipedia day, but Leslie's preparing.
- 3:02[SPEAKER_00]: for her birthday.
- 3:03[SPEAKER_01]: If they're going to send anything, the time is coming down.
- 3:06[SPEAKER_00]: Because it's 11 days.
- 3:07[SPEAKER_00]: If they're going to send something, send it to Wikipedia instead.
- 3:11[SPEAKER_01]: No, it's not.
- 3:12[SPEAKER_00]: Send money to Wikipedia instead.
- 3:14[SPEAKER_01]: No, send money to the your local SPCA group.
- 3:18[SPEAKER_00]: Not the major one.
- 3:19[SPEAKER_01]: That does the sad commercials.
- 3:20[SPEAKER_01]: You're a local one.
- 3:21[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 3:23[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 3:24[SPEAKER_01]: Or you can stand up to the
- 3:27[SPEAKER_01]: is an occasion that celebrates the birth information of Wikipedia, the free online and cyclopedia.
- 3:33[SPEAKER_01]: Almost every single person in the world knows what Wikipedia is.
- 3:36[SPEAKER_01]: When we search for something, a Wikipedia link is the first and that pops up on our search engines.
- 3:41[SPEAKER_01]: It is also a popular site since it provides in-depth information and presents everything in a user friendly way.
- 3:47[SPEAKER_01]: I love Wikipedia because of like, who is that person married to?
- 3:49[SPEAKER_01]: You can just go right to that part.
- 3:50[SPEAKER_01]: Like, it's like, here's the bullet point.
- 3:52[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, in depth information presents everything a user friendly way, so without further ado, let's dedicate this day to the information provider that has been feeding us with the knowledge since day one, happy Wikipedia day.
- 4:05[SPEAKER_01]: And surprise!
- 4:07[SPEAKER_01]: I should have a Wikipedia page now.
- 4:10[SPEAKER_01]: It's been a multi-year journey, I think, I don't know how long Brad's been working on this project to gather all the information and create this page.
- 4:16[SPEAKER_01]: I'm really excited about it.
- 4:17[SPEAKER_00]: It's because I wanted to create a Wikipedia page that we hired a press person.
- 4:22[SPEAKER_00]: years ago years ago yeah and by the way how long like there's rules like not everyone could just have a Wikipedia yeah no it's it's not uh uh you can't just write a story and put it up there everything has to be validated and you know credible and linked to other things it's because like you can't just go it's intentionally factual and historic like Charlie next door just can't go like I'm gonna make a Wikipedia page for myself
- 4:47[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, he could, but then the moderators will take it down the next day.
- 4:50[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 4:51[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 4:51[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 4:52[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 4:53[SPEAKER_00]: And I mean, it's also, you know, you can actually go into Wikipedia and make any change you want to any page on there.
- 4:58[SPEAKER_00]: Surprise.
- 4:59[SPEAKER_00]: You can do that.
- 5:00[SPEAKER_00]: But then it will be reviewed and either change back or corrected or updated or whatever or again validated.
- 5:07[SPEAKER_00]: So, you know, the pages that are constantly growing, it's because there's external like verification for the source of this new information that's being added.
- 5:17[SPEAKER_00]: It's very intentional.
- 5:18[SPEAKER_00]: And the reality is we didn't
- 5:22[SPEAKER_01]: links back the back links to be able to say well Leslie did this Leslie did that or whatever whatever because you can't just go I did these things they have to go where is the proof right somewhere else that someone else could validate You know that you did those things exactly yeah, but I'm now old enough
- 5:39[SPEAKER_00]: Congratulations.
- 5:39[SPEAKER_01]: Faith is enough.
- 5:40[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 5:41[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 5:42[SPEAKER_01]: And if you want to, you know, look, Wikipedia does a thing every December where they want money because they actually are free for you to use and they need, they do a money drive every year.
- 5:49[SPEAKER_01]: So I want to give them their money either a worthy cause.
- 5:52[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 5:52[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I think I, I give them $3.50 a month through PayPal.
- 5:56[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, well, that's so fine.
- 5:57[SPEAKER_00]: I'm doing it for years.
- 5:59[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 5:59[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 5:59[SPEAKER_00]: Because if everybody does, every time they do their drive every year, they say if everyone just gave $3, then we would have all a bills paid for, right?
- 6:08[SPEAKER_00]: And I was like, well, I can do $3 a month.
- 6:10[SPEAKER_00]: How about that?
- 6:11[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, yeah.
- 6:11[SPEAKER_01]: But so thoughtful.
- 6:13[SPEAKER_01]: Anyways, Brad and I are driving back from Palm Springs today.
- 6:16[SPEAKER_00]: Right now.
- 6:16[SPEAKER_01]: We were on vacation.
- 6:17[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, we're on vacation and we're driving and it's beautiful.
- 6:20[SPEAKER_01]: We're probably picking up more cactus this because there is a cactus shop on the way from Palm Springs what least the way we go from Palm Springs home.
- 6:27[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 6:27[SPEAKER_01]: So we'll have to see which cactus we don't have yet that we want to move.
- 6:31[SPEAKER_01]: And then right now, the early bird discount for the retreat that is this year is happening.
- 6:37[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, for Cambodia.
- 6:39[SPEAKER_01]: So if a lot is retreat got an email about it, you are one of the few people who got it and there's way too many of you on the wait list, so we could take on this year's retreat.
- 6:48[SPEAKER_01]: So you definitely want to snag your spot before they're all gone.
- 6:50[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and no lie.
- 6:52[SPEAKER_00]: We've already had people sign up.
- 6:54[SPEAKER_00]: We had like secret invitation to some people and so some spots were already snagged.
- 6:59[SPEAKER_00]: And then we're already halfway through the early bird.
- 7:02[SPEAKER_00]: So definitely if this has been something that's on your radar, do not wait on this.
- 7:06[SPEAKER_01]: You want to come?
- 7:07[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, go to crowsnestretreats.com for more information, but for those of you who are on the weight list, check your email.
- 7:14[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 7:15[SPEAKER_01]: And if we were in your spam, you need to tell your spam folder that we are important people.
- 7:19[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 7:19[SPEAKER_00]: Hello.
- 7:20[SPEAKER_00]: We've looked at PDF page.
- 7:22[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 7:22[SPEAKER_01]: What does it take to get out of the promotion folder?
- 7:25[SPEAKER_01]: Dammit.
- 7:26[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 7:26[SPEAKER_00]: All right.
- 7:27[SPEAKER_00]: Next month.
- 7:27[SPEAKER_01]: Fabulous.
- 7:28[SPEAKER_01]: It's agency mini.
- 7:29[SPEAKER_01]: And it is for polarizing structures and studio owners who work for themselves or want to.
- 7:33[SPEAKER_01]: And they want their business to actually not just make the impact that they want to make, but also more than pay their bills to have to align with their
- 7:43[SPEAKER_01]: I feel like they're more in charge of it all and it's just a really beautiful program that we do.
- 7:46[SPEAKER_01]: It's three days of your life and it has replay access and we made some additional changes to this one from last time.
- 7:52[SPEAKER_01]: So you're going to want to go to prfit.biz slash many to sign up for the wait list because those on the wait list will get the early bird the early bird is coming up.
- 8:00[SPEAKER_01]: Pretty close because if it's happening in February, we always do an early part a couple of weeks out.
- 8:03[SPEAKER_01]: So you don't want to miss that.
- 8:05[SPEAKER_01]: Yep.
- 8:05[SPEAKER_01]: Um, after many in March, Brad and I are going to go to Poland and then to Brussels.
- 8:11[SPEAKER_01]: So there's a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a,
- 8:19[SPEAKER_01]: There, it's going to be a whole lot of fun.
- 8:21[SPEAKER_01]: We've done it a couple of years before.
- 8:23[SPEAKER_01]: And then we're going to be at the Pilates and Friends, or the Vintage and Friends event at L Studio Pilates.
- 8:29[SPEAKER_01]: In Brussels, xxll.co-brussels.
- 8:32[SPEAKER_01]: There are private and group classes, and then there's also these amazing workshops.
- 8:36[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, and one of my dear friends, who I've been seeing in years, is going to be at the Brussels one as well.
- 8:42[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm super excited to teach alongside him again.
- 8:44[SPEAKER_01]: It's been since like we were together at JStudio.
- 8:46[SPEAKER_00]: So awesome.
- 8:47[SPEAKER_01]: And then it April, so after that, Brad and I are going to do a little second honeymoon, why not?
- 8:52[SPEAKER_00]: Well, celebrating our 10 years of marriage.
- 8:55[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that's why.
- 8:56[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, well, yeah, but like why not is like, of course you would.
- 8:59[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 9:00[SPEAKER_01]: And then we're going to be at the POT and London, xxll.co slash POT, we'll get you the information about the London stuff, the lineup is amazing.
- 9:08[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just kidding.
- 9:10[SPEAKER_01]: It's our first time doing a POT and London.
- 9:11[SPEAKER_01]: So that's really exciting.
- 9:13[SPEAKER_01]: And that's actually also, by the way, these events are the only events outside our tour that you can hang out with us.
- 9:20[SPEAKER_01]: And the retreat, that's it.
- 9:22[SPEAKER_01]: Close and it's scheduled, guys.
- 9:23[SPEAKER_00]: Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, all right.
- 9:31[SPEAKER_00]: Before we go any further, we had an audience question.
- 9:33[SPEAKER_00]: And today's question is from YouTube from the alternatives to the Pilates teaser for lower back issues video.
- 9:43[SPEAKER_00]: Kelly asks, hey, actually, Kelly Nyhan, 79-09.
- 9:46[SPEAKER_00]: Hi Kelly, she said, hey, could you share a class that is using a floor or standing using the floor slash standing and a chair?
- 9:53[SPEAKER_00]: Could you share a class?
- 9:55[SPEAKER_00]: If that's possible, I've gone through the list of Matt exercises and created my own IE side to a sitting and saw.
- 10:02[SPEAKER_00]: But I'm wondering if more for an aging population, it, it, it, it, it.
- 10:07[SPEAKER_00]: If it would be good for all, I also use the standing exercises from another video or the 100, the roll up, one like single like circle, marching, et cetera.
- 10:17[SPEAKER_01]: Great.
- 10:17[SPEAKER_00]: So you're going to have to break down this question for me because I actually have any idea of the question.
- 10:21[SPEAKER_01]: So she definitely asked a question has nothing to do with the video, which we tell people that they can do anytime they want.
- 10:27[SPEAKER_00]: True.
- 10:27[SPEAKER_01]: So what you want to look at Kelly on the YouTube channel is we actually released a entire long-form video about how to do
- 10:34[SPEAKER_01]: So there's going to be some great suggestions you can draw some inspiration from there if not use them completely.
- 10:39[SPEAKER_01]: We also have on the YouTube channel a standing workout.
- 10:41[SPEAKER_01]: There's a whole workout you can do standing.
- 10:43[SPEAKER_01]: There's a wall workout of real wall pulize workout and then over on OPC Mindy created a really great stretch class using a chair and you can use she was on a one-to-chair, but Brad was on a regular chair and it spliced in there.
- 10:59[SPEAKER_01]: So I would definitely grab that workshop
- 11:03[SPEAKER_01]: Anyways, another legacy tab, and that's what I would do, and the other thing I would just give you permission on is, after you do not all that, that's a lot of movements, right?
- 11:10[SPEAKER_01]: A lot of exercises, and our bodies actually only do so many different movement directions, and so you don't have to keep getting creative.
- 11:18[SPEAKER_01]: You actually need, they can get more curious and more connected.
- 11:21[SPEAKER_01]: So I would get all those inspirations together, find out with the ones that work best for the population you're working with.
- 11:27[SPEAKER_01]: and then make them get better at it.
- 11:28[SPEAKER_01]: And if they, if it's not just time, it's going to help them, then what other exercises outside of those things would help them, what props, what tools you can use the accessories deck.
- 11:37[SPEAKER_01]: And I'll be easy to help you with that.
- 11:38[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, I'll, I understood the question.
- 11:41[SPEAKER_00]: Great.
- 11:42[SPEAKER_00]: Amazing.
- 11:43[SPEAKER_01]: To apply a good thing, since I'm going to answer it, I'm going to be a pod.questions to send yours.
- 11:47[SPEAKER_00]: And be a pod doc.
- 11:49[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, flash questions.
- 11:51[SPEAKER_01]: Be a pod.com slash questions.
- 11:53[SPEAKER_01]: And then send me your questions and maybe send up, send a win to something else.
- 11:58[SPEAKER_01]: So you can also text us at 3905-5534.
- 12:00[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, Francis, not a. Yeah, stick around.
- 12:05[SPEAKER_00]: We will be right back.
- 12:07[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 12:07[SPEAKER_00]: Now let's talk about Francis, not a. Francis, not a.
- 12:10[SPEAKER_00]: Is a rakey master, a tarot reader and spiritual mentor who helps people reconnect with their intuition and live in alignment with their true selves.
- 12:20[SPEAKER_00]: She's also the creator of the four Noble Terodek.
- 12:24[SPEAKER_00]: Terodek.
- 12:25[SPEAKER_01]: You can get Tero.
- 12:27[SPEAKER_01]: Dina says Tero.
- 12:28[SPEAKER_01]: Oh.
- 12:28[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 12:29[SPEAKER_00]: OK. And offers free Tero readings and energy guidance.
- 12:34[SPEAKER_01]: Francis might say, Tero, but we can say that.
- 12:37[SPEAKER_00]: on YouTube, uh, along with regular insights on Instagram, from her global community for her global community that she affection calls the soul fam guided by her belief.
- 12:48[SPEAKER_00]: The intuition is our greatest tool Francis teaches others to trust their inner wisdom and lead with joy, courage and authenticity.
- 12:56[SPEAKER_01]: Oh my god, I was just so excited.
- 12:57[SPEAKER_01]: I was like, okay, I have so many questions, tell me everything.
- 13:01[SPEAKER_00]: I really enjoyed it.
- 13:02[SPEAKER_00]: you're one question about the history.
- 13:05[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, are we going to talk about that today?
- 13:07[SPEAKER_01]: Or is that not in today?
- 13:09[SPEAKER_00]: We are going to skip it today.
- 13:11[SPEAKER_00]: Well, no, it's not it's not on here, but I thought it was very interesting.
- 13:15[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, let's just talk about it.
- 13:16[SPEAKER_01]: Let me tell you something because I think there's more to the story and obviously we had a short period of time.
- 13:20[SPEAKER_01]: So I asked her where to
- 13:30[SPEAKER_01]: the church had it and then the church she said it was around before the church but she said the church basically well they appropriate it appropriate that's a better word for what the church does and they appropriated it and then you know you would go to the church to get support over something you were thinking about contemplating and then they would help you to use it as a self-reflection tool because the printing press wasn't big and only rich people could have
- 13:56[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 13:57[SPEAKER_00]: So can you just say that one sentence, they would help you using the tarot tarot cards as a self reflection tool.
- 14:06[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 14:07[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, they would use tarot cards as a self reflection tool.
- 14:10[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 14:10[SPEAKER_01]: Well, and that's like that's going to go into what I love about what we talked about, but let's keep going with the history.
- 14:14[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 14:15[SPEAKER_01]: So.
- 14:16[SPEAKER_01]: then the printing press became a thing and so then people could just print their own terror decks and then they didn't need to go to the church.
- 14:23[SPEAKER_01]: And so obviously that was like not going to work for the church because then they'd be obsolete.
- 14:27[SPEAKER_01]: So they made terror decks be like, well, I'm sure you'd tie to have your reading or whatever.
- 14:33[SPEAKER_00]: I'm sure self-reflections.
- 14:35[SPEAKER_00]: So effectively it was pausing the money.
- 14:37[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 14:37[SPEAKER_00]: So what do they do?
- 14:39[SPEAKER_01]: They made they demonized terror with women healers.
- 14:43[SPEAKER_01]: They demonized that was too.
- 14:45[SPEAKER_01]: They demonize that's why the reason we have witches Which craft all these things is like oh that one point?
- 14:52[SPEAKER_01]: It serves a church and another point They decided to get rid of it because it would mean they didn't have as much power and now became a witchy pagan thing and let me tell you after I heard this I felt like my whole life was a lie
- 15:03[SPEAKER_01]: I was like, oh my god, everything I've ever been told that is evil and bad was actually good.
- 15:10[SPEAKER_01]: It's all been good, right?
- 15:12[SPEAKER_01]: You know, so anyway, we can talk about the witches they burn on another day, but I talked to Kate Wind, who we've had on the pod before, and I said, Kate, how come I didn't know that Taro Dex came from the church, and she said, well, the church.
- 15:26[SPEAKER_01]: We think the church took them from the Romanians, like the word you don't use anymore, but like the Romanian gypsies for lack of a better, like what we're going to call them.
- 15:34[SPEAKER_01]: However, there's also some information that could have been from India as well.
- 15:39[SPEAKER_01]: But you know what, just like we've been to Cambodia and you're at the temples and they're like exactly the opposite of much P.J.
- 15:45[SPEAKER_01]: or what is what is what is much B.J.
- 15:48[SPEAKER_01]: They're opposite of like a globe right and so and so it's like
- 15:52[SPEAKER_01]: To me, when I hear these things could be at the same time, it's like because there was this human knowing that there's another way to figure out what's going on inside you.
- 16:01[SPEAKER_01]: And so Tara doesn't actually tell you anything new, it echoes what you already know and maybe what you're ignoring.
- 16:10[SPEAKER_01]: And so when you rock hard, in terror, the card has some sort of meaning.
- 16:17[SPEAKER_01]: We'll just talk about, like, the upright position has some sort of meaning, right?
- 16:20[SPEAKER_01]: And what you're supposed to do is reflect upon that meaning in your own life.
- 16:24[SPEAKER_01]: And so I've been studying in different ways.
- 16:26[SPEAKER_01]: Like, I was talking to one of my besties on the phone yesterday, and she was talking about how she's doing this inventory in her life and how she's letting go of people who don't.
- 16:34[SPEAKER_01]: Like, ping back her serve, right?
- 16:36[SPEAKER_01]: You know, like, you got it.
- 16:36[SPEAKER_01]: It's got to be, or that she's not pinging back on then.
- 16:39[SPEAKER_01]: And I was, That's the usual.
- 16:41[SPEAKER_01]: Passing usual, get this.
- 16:43[SPEAKER_01]: One of the card I was studying yesterday was the moon.
- 16:46[SPEAKER_01]: And the moon is this card where you're like, okay, what am my life as an illusion?
- 16:52[SPEAKER_01]: Where am I, where am I off the wrong path?
- 16:55[SPEAKER_01]: Where am I needing to like, go of some things?
- 16:57[SPEAKER_00]: Sorry, did you say where am I lying to my,
- 16:59[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 17:00[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, recurring thing from last week.
- 17:02[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 17:03[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 17:03[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 17:03[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 17:04[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 17:04[SPEAKER_01]: Same.
- 17:04[SPEAKER_01]: Same.
- 17:05[SPEAKER_01]: Exactly.
- 17:05[SPEAKER_01]: Well, by the way, you are just due to an exact same thing.
- 17:08[SPEAKER_01]: You should do a terror, which is like, you did something today.
- 17:11[SPEAKER_01]: We recorded last week's show.
- 17:13[SPEAKER_01]: And now you're learning about this card.
- 17:14[SPEAKER_01]: And so you're using it as a way to think differently or think deeper about.
- 17:19[SPEAKER_00]: So that's a reflection.
- 17:19[SPEAKER_01]: Self reflection.
- 17:20[SPEAKER_00]: No.
- 17:20[SPEAKER_01]: And so I'm telling you guys right now.
- 17:23[SPEAKER_01]: I, I mean, Francis said so many of my amazing things, but like this is the thing, if my therapist had told me pick up a taro deck and journal, I would have bit my life problems and it's often a long time ago.
- 17:35[SPEAKER_00]: Why?
- 17:35[SPEAKER_00]: Why?
- 17:36[SPEAKER_01]: Because I've just been like, what am I supposed to reflect on?
- 17:38[SPEAKER_01]: You know what I mean?
- 17:40[SPEAKER_01]: Is that not how should you?
- 17:42[SPEAKER_01]: Like, when people say self-reflect, like you've to do self-reflect and like, do you ever wonder what that means?
- 17:46[SPEAKER_01]: I just don't, I was like, what does that mean, though?
- 17:48[SPEAKER_01]: How do I do that?
- 17:50[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, sure, but I mean, I don't know that I usually, if I'm self-reflecting, it's because there's something that is wrong.
- 17:57[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm probably self-reflecting about that thing.
- 18:00[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not just generally self-reflecting.
- 18:03[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, well, that's good.
- 18:04[SPEAKER_01]: But the ulcer that sounds like you're only doing it when something's gone wrong, you're not doing it when something's gone right.
- 18:08[SPEAKER_00]: Most...
- 18:09[SPEAKER_00]: Well, sure.
- 18:09[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 18:09[SPEAKER_01]: And so in Taro, you could have something going well, or you could or it could be like there could be you can use it as a yes no decision maker like to help you make decisions in your life, but like everything is about it has guidance and information and the symbols and like we talked about that and it helps you kind of understand.
- 18:26[SPEAKER_01]: It actually helps you have empowerment.
- 18:28[SPEAKER_01]: That's what she said.
- 18:29[SPEAKER_01]: She said it really is all about empowerment helping people be able to navigate their own inner wisdom and then apply it forward and I think it's the coolest thing about it's like a lot of us have so much goodness and we can only give it to our friends we can never give it to ourselves.
- 18:42[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so this is where it's interesting for me because like first off, I think that like this interview I found very curious I actually really like listening to Francis.
- 18:51[SPEAKER_00]: I think it was revealing there was also some things that were like definitely a double woo on the woo scale that I was kind of like, you know, but but here's where I also think we went to two rows starting twenty twenty five.
- 19:03[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, but let's let's then she's in the 2.5 so so here's the thing she also is not just doing Taro she's also doing rakey right and yoga she's a yogi as well like energy work all that kind of stuff So so there's definitely she's got a lot going on and so her answers were not exclusive to
- 19:24[SPEAKER_00]: Tara.
- 19:24[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 19:25[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 19:25[SPEAKER_00]: And that's where like sometimes I was kind of going, well, you know, like I've actually, you know, had rakey performed on me and all that kind of stuff in the past as well.
- 19:34[SPEAKER_00]: So I don't, I don't discount energy work.
- 19:36[SPEAKER_00]: I think that it's, you know, we all have, we literally have a scientific magnetic field.
- 19:40[SPEAKER_00]: I get it.
- 19:41[SPEAKER_00]: I understand that it can be influenced with things and all the stuff.
- 19:44[SPEAKER_00]: So I don't, I'm not saying no to that either, but.
- 19:47[SPEAKER_00]: I think that having grown up in the church and having been like told that like, you know, basically, taro is the devil, you know, and looking at it like, you know, effectively, it's almost like fortune telling.
- 20:00[SPEAKER_00]: Like, you know, you look at taro, it's always in movies, put alongside somebody with a crystal ball reading your future and it's always portrayed as other bullshit, right?
- 20:09[SPEAKER_01]: And so it's part of the programming so we would avoid it.
- 20:12[SPEAKER_00]: I think so too.
- 20:12[SPEAKER_00]: You know, but, but that's just the, that's where I'm coming from with it.
- 20:16[SPEAKER_00]: That's the, the world view that I've had my entire life until I'm, you know, watching you do this and listening to her talk about it.
- 20:22[SPEAKER_00]: So, you know, I think that there's still that weirdness around, well, when I'm having somebody else read my tarot cards.
- 20:29[SPEAKER_00]: You know, this is not fortune telling.
- 20:31[SPEAKER_00]: No.
- 20:32[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 20:32[SPEAKER_00]: And I think that's what we should be very clear.
- 20:35[SPEAKER_00]: They're not just making shit up.
- 20:37[SPEAKER_01]: Correct.
- 20:38[SPEAKER_00]: And even when you have when you do go get a reading like Kate does that is it a back and forth like you know like you didn't have you didn't get one from Lindsay you didn't get one from Lindsay That Eric's place years ago maybe I can't remember I think I did but I can't remember so but but but but like the question I had like it's not like I'm sitting there in silence there flipping cards and telling us about it's more of a conversation.
- 21:00[SPEAKER_00]: and the the person's helping you come to these conclusions.
- 21:04[SPEAKER_01]: It probably depends on the on the facilitator, but essentially the tarot reads I've had is I had one I didn't really like I actually ask Kate about it and she was like, she feels like she's being a little more predicting versus like asking you, but the one that Lindsay did.
- 21:19[SPEAKER_01]: Lindsay are all the same.
- 21:20[SPEAKER_00]: She did do this.
- 21:20[SPEAKER_00]: I can't.
- 21:21[SPEAKER_01]: She did a reading with me and she pulled these cards and I don't remember the type of spread it was, but it was basically okay.
- 21:27[SPEAKER_01]: So in the past, right, she had like a past present future spread of some sort.
- 21:31[SPEAKER_01]: And so in the past, she's like, okay, in your past, you had X, Y and Z that is currently affecting where you are presently.
- 21:39[SPEAKER_01]: So what's going on in your present life was, like, let's just say, the you drew the full card, which is the the card.
- 21:45[SPEAKER_01]: Like, this is the person's like going off.
- 21:48[SPEAKER_01]: doing something they're not probably were prepared for but they're excited and they are like are just going for it, right?
- 21:54[SPEAKER_01]: But there's these mountains in the way they're gonna be obstacles, but they have clear skies ahead because there's gonna be something amazing like that's the full.
- 22:00[SPEAKER_01]: So in your past you had this opportunity to do something amazing and that sets you off on your present and then the present card it could be the moon.
- 22:09[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, but presently
- 22:10[SPEAKER_01]: you have some illusions.
- 22:12[SPEAKER_01]: You might be misaligned.
- 22:14[SPEAKER_01]: And you know, like this.
- 22:14[SPEAKER_01]: And then in the future.
- 22:15[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, the future.
- 22:17[SPEAKER_01]: You've got an emperor.
- 22:18[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 22:18[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just picking cards.
- 22:20[SPEAKER_00]: The idea here is that there's like different positions and one position is past one position present one position is future.
- 22:26[SPEAKER_01]: If you do that.
- 22:26[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 22:26[SPEAKER_00]: And then the cards help you reflect on different things from your past, from your present, from your future.
- 22:33[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so then you can ask and then your self reflection questions like, okay, what does this make me think of?
- 22:40[SPEAKER_01]: Is there a decision that I need to be making right now that I have them in making is this is there is there like you could be doing a financial spread.
- 22:47[SPEAKER_01]: And then the cards could be you take all the meanings of the cards and that's a financial spread and you're like, oh, if you get this one, like there's one card that if you get it, it's like, oh, you should take more drastic dramatic action in your investments, right?
- 23:01[SPEAKER_01]: Where you could draw a different car that's saying, oh, you should be
- 23:04[SPEAKER_00]: more, but this comes down to the predictive, not the reflection.
- 23:07[SPEAKER_00]: And that's where, like, that's where, for me, this is where.
- 23:10[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm explaining to it in a way that, yes, I can hear how your sense predictive, where you would then take it is going, oh, okay, where can I be more aggressive in my financial investment?
- 23:20[SPEAKER_01]: Where have I been to, like, maybe you got the cart upside down?
- 23:24[SPEAKER_01]: Where have I been to aggressive in my financial investment?
- 23:27[SPEAKER_01]: So you take the cards meeting and then you apply it to
- 23:32[SPEAKER_01]: based on the spread you're doing.
- 23:33[SPEAKER_01]: And this is why we couldn't have the time to get into this.
- 23:36[SPEAKER_00]: So it's like in the present and then the, whatever the card is, maybe the card is saying, let's talk about how this, you know, this, you've been too aggressive.
- 23:44[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, or let's talk about how you've been not aggressive enough.
- 23:47[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you could actually draw a card that is all about intuition.
- 23:50[SPEAKER_01]: And so then the question is like, okay, what is my intuition saying?
- 23:53[SPEAKER_01]: I should be doing today.
- 23:54[SPEAKER_00]: Or should we do in right now like you're but this is okay now that we're talking about it clarifying in this way it's bringing me even more on board because it effectively is almost like talking points.
- 24:06[SPEAKER_00]: They're the each card represents a different talking point, a different analytical way of looking at your own past present and future.
- 24:14[SPEAKER_01]: Correct.
- 24:14[SPEAKER_01]: If you do that spread and so what you are supposed to do is listen to them explain what each card means and the position that it's in and then go and apply it.
- 24:25[SPEAKER_01]: Meaning like reflect upon it and go, okay, it like let's say you're doing a spread that has to do with your career, right?
- 24:33[SPEAKER_01]: You right now, Brad, are currently doing a lot more sales in the fit and in our business, right?
- 24:38[SPEAKER_01]: You could end up with like doing a spread where it's in the future, it's showing you as having more leadership roles, okay?
- 24:45[SPEAKER_01]: So then it's like, okay, well, if in the future, I might have to take on more leadership roles in the business.
- 24:51[SPEAKER_01]: then, you know, what do I need to be doing today to prepare myself?
- 24:55[SPEAKER_01]: How much of what does that feel like for me?
- 24:57[SPEAKER_01]: Do if that is something I was going to take on, what what what I like to learn about myself, what I want to do, what should I be doing now so that can be even a possibility, right?
- 25:06[SPEAKER_01]: So like it just reflects upon different things and also it's not predictive.
- 25:09[SPEAKER_01]: It's just
- 25:10[SPEAKER_01]: each card, what it represents is more, it's not, I don't want to distill it down to a vibe, but it's a vibe, right?
- 25:17[SPEAKER_01]: Like, and they represent different feelings.
- 25:19[SPEAKER_01]: There's some cards that, like the, the cups are all about emotions.
- 25:24[SPEAKER_01]: So when you draw cups cards in your spread, and maybe it's a day spread, maybe you just do one card a day, you might draw the 10 of cups, which is all about relationships.
- 25:35[SPEAKER_01]: So then it's like, okay, today, where can I invest more
- 25:39[SPEAKER_01]: So for me, I prefer the Dave card because it's like, okay, it's a focus for today, but you can use that almost like a journal prompt correct.
- 25:48[SPEAKER_00]: You know, it's like it's like a pre-conceived 365 day journal prompt correct.
- 25:52[SPEAKER_01]: I bought a whole journal that does one a day and they have stickers and I was like fucking in.
- 25:57[SPEAKER_01]: I'm doing it.
- 25:57[SPEAKER_01]: I got stickers for I got a tarot card sticker.
- 26:00[SPEAKER_00]: This is cool.
- 26:00[SPEAKER_00]: I like this even more now.
- 26:01[SPEAKER_01]: And so for me, the way I've been studying it is like, the card I'm studying, I'm literally going to how today did I see like when I was studying like the Empress, like, oh, how today was I using these things that she has or I wasn't using these things.
- 26:17[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, there was that moment today where I outsourced my intuition to this person over here.
- 26:22[SPEAKER_01]: So it just helps you reflect upon yourself and get to know yourself more.
- 26:25[SPEAKER_01]: And the thing is that we all need if we want to have self-love
- 26:31[SPEAKER_01]: be it till we see it.
- 26:32[SPEAKER_01]: If you don't know yourself, like you, you don't know how to listen to yourself, then it becomes really hard.
- 26:37[SPEAKER_01]: So I have really got obsessed with it because I'm like, oh, this is a way for me to have a conversation with myself.
- 26:44[SPEAKER_01]: That is somewhat guided in that it's whatever card I drew, whatever card I'm learning from that day.
- 26:51[SPEAKER_01]: And the allows to reflect upon today or my past or whatever and uncover and almost like an onion peel back
- 26:59[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's cool.
- 26:59[SPEAKER_01]: Without outsourcing my agency.
- 27:02[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I was just talking about this.
- 27:03[SPEAKER_00]: Well, first off, that's really cool.
- 27:05[SPEAKER_00]: And I agree.
- 27:06[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's awesome that this is like, you're not outsourcing.
- 27:10[SPEAKER_00]: You're not, you're nothing wrong with going to see a therapist or anything like that.
- 27:14[SPEAKER_00]: That's not what I'm talking about.
- 27:15[SPEAKER_00]: But it's nice that this is something that you can do on your own.
- 27:18[SPEAKER_00]: And I was just talking about this with someone about self reflection.
- 27:21[SPEAKER_00]: And I love that this is effectively a self reflection practice.
- 27:25[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that's, and that's like, I'm really with Plope, please, that Francis explained it in that way, because correct, like you, I went to a terrible year thinking they're going to tell me what could be coming up in the future.
- 27:36[SPEAKER_01]: And I forgot the time that Lindsey did it, and more, was like, okay, you've been through X, Y, and Z, according to your past.
- 27:44[SPEAKER_01]: you're it's currently affecting in this way and presenting in this way and in the future this could be coming up and you should be aware of it.
- 27:51[SPEAKER_01]: It's like so that sounds predictive but also I still have to be the one who goes and does the thing.
- 27:56[SPEAKER_01]: So I need to reflect upon what did I learn in the past when it comes to that area that this card is representing.
- 28:04[SPEAKER_00]: Sure.
- 28:04[SPEAKER_01]: What am I currently going through that this card is highlighting?
- 28:07[SPEAKER_01]: And then this future card is sharing is putting this as a thing to be looking at.
- 28:13[SPEAKER_01]: Doesn't mean it's predictive, but like, if that, like, what do I, where's the gap?
- 28:17[SPEAKER_01]: What do I need to know?
- 28:18[SPEAKER_01]: What does that, what's feeling to that bring up in me?
- 28:20[SPEAKER_01]: You know, so it's not, it's, it's more of a guy.
- 28:23[SPEAKER_01]: It's just a guy.
- 28:24[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 28:24[SPEAKER_01]: I really like it.
- 28:24[SPEAKER_01]: And I, and I am so pissed that I, this was, I took me 43 years in my life to know this is something I could use.
- 28:31[SPEAKER_00]: Well,
- 28:32[SPEAKER_01]: This is so grateful for Francis.
- 28:33[SPEAKER_00]: Well, nothing like a little anger to make Motivate you to learn.
- 28:37[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 28:38[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, and also people get asking him how to do a reading and the answers now.
- 28:41[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 28:41[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 28:42[SPEAKER_00]: So here's the deal.
- 28:43[SPEAKER_00]: That's funny that you say that.
- 28:44[SPEAKER_00]: You know, how do you, you know, I, I just want to briefly touch in this before we move on to some great beat action games.
- 28:49[SPEAKER_00]: But because I just took hijacked our whole conversation and asked about the process and the belief behind it and how it works, which I, I'm glad we did.
- 28:57[SPEAKER_00]: I feel like it was good to clarify that.
- 29:01[SPEAKER_00]: the conversation you had with listening to your own intuition, right?
- 29:05[SPEAKER_00]: Because you asked her questions about how did you know that you could do this full-time as a career?
- 29:08[SPEAKER_00]: How did this turn into a career?
- 29:09[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm going to skip a whole lot of my notes, but ultimately, she said, pursuing the unconventional path requires being your own staunch of supporter, because you were talking
- 29:21[SPEAKER_00]: How was it like in a family picnic with people like you're doing what now?
- 29:25[SPEAKER_00]: Are you or can I like pray for you?
- 29:28[SPEAKER_00]: I could only imagine like yeah, right?
- 29:30[SPEAKER_01]: And so why should people as the plies instructor?
- 29:31[SPEAKER_01]: That was already where can you imagine telling them they're doing right?
- 29:34[SPEAKER_01]: Can you dare out?
- 29:35[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 29:36[SPEAKER_00]: So, you know, and what she said, it's not that you have to have the, it's not that you have the confidence already.
- 29:42[SPEAKER_00]: It's that you trust so deeply that you're, that what you're doing is what you're supposed to be doing, which is listen to it to your intuition, right?
- 29:48[SPEAKER_00]: She said you do it scared anyways, which is being it till you see it.
- 29:54[SPEAKER_00]: right and she said that builds your confidence.
- 29:56[SPEAKER_00]: So I just wanted to make sure we got that in.
- 29:58[SPEAKER_00]: I thought that was really awesome.
- 29:59[SPEAKER_00]: But stick around.
- 30:00[SPEAKER_00]: We'll be right back.
- 30:01[SPEAKER_00]: We're going to uncover these beat action items that we got from Francis Naday.
- 30:05[SPEAKER_00]: All right.
- 30:06[SPEAKER_00]: Welcome back.
- 30:07[SPEAKER_00]: Let's talk about those beat action items.
- 30:08[SPEAKER_00]: What bold, executable intrinsic or targeted action items can we take away from your combo with Francis Naday?
- 30:14[SPEAKER_00]: She said you have to learn how to hear and trust.
- 30:17[SPEAKER_00]: your intuition.
- 30:18[SPEAKER_00]: Learn how to hear and trust your intuition.
- 30:21[SPEAKER_00]: And she said, here's a three-part practice for building your intuitive muscle.
- 30:26[SPEAKER_00]: And this is great, because learn how to hear and trust your intuition is not helpful for me.
- 30:30[SPEAKER_00]: But here's three steps.
- 30:32[SPEAKER_00]: Here's how you do that.
- 30:33[SPEAKER_00]: Start with small daily decisions.
- 30:34[SPEAKER_00]: Things that you do every day, like choosing your tea, picking produce, or selecting which pair of underwear to wear, because that's what she does.
- 30:41[SPEAKER_00]: She picks it up.
- 30:42[SPEAKER_00]: And she goes, is today, this pair of underwear day or that pair of underwear day?
- 30:45[SPEAKER_00]: And she's building this intuitive muscle, you know, like listening to herself feeling it out, right?
- 30:51[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 30:51[SPEAKER_00]: And, and, and she said, why does she do it then?
- 30:53[SPEAKER_00]: Because it's something she repeats every single day.
- 30:56[SPEAKER_00]: She has to make a choice right then.
- 30:58[SPEAKER_00]: And so she, and it does.
- 30:59[SPEAKER_01]: That's with it because it goes a line with how habits are created.
- 31:02[SPEAKER_00]: 100%.
- 31:03[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, she says, pause and feel after you make the choice.
- 31:06[SPEAKER_00]: Stop and notice what is a feel like in your body and what energy do you have when you've made that decision?
- 31:12[SPEAKER_00]: Then recognize the nature of intuitions.
- 31:16[SPEAKER_00]: So this is step three.
- 31:16[SPEAKER_00]: Recognize the nature of intuition.
- 31:18[SPEAKER_00]: It's quiet often feels like a passing thought can lead you down paths.
- 31:21[SPEAKER_00]: The challenge you're comfort zone and beliefs.
- 31:23[SPEAKER_00]: she said your intuition often will not make logical sense it might not actually be loud people always expect these really big moments but intuition is often really quiet so she basically she's reminding us that daily awareness practice will help you build trust in your own guidance long before the big decisions show up
- 31:41[SPEAKER_01]: And then to the next step, then you have to do that first, you guys, don't get the skip ahead.
- 31:46[SPEAKER_01]: That first, the next step is to define your highest self.
- 31:50[SPEAKER_01]: So this is the person we're being into, we see, right?
- 31:52[SPEAKER_01]: This is a place that exists without ego.
- 31:54[SPEAKER_01]: She said without fears, worries, anxieties, and without other people's stories.
- 31:58[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, you're rid of the other people's stories that are in your head, telling you who your highest self is.
- 32:01[SPEAKER_01]: And then she encouraged you to clearly define who that self is and live by it.
- 32:06[SPEAKER_01]: And she, Francis actually shared her three pillars of her highest self, which aren't she let's
- 32:10[SPEAKER_01]: joy lead, she does not let fear get in her way, and she lives in unity with all that's around her.
- 32:17[SPEAKER_01]: I think that that's those are really tough things to kind of do because we all want to control how things are.
- 32:24[SPEAKER_01]: But if you let Joy lead hence the going back to last week's episode, I love that these are back to back episodes.
- 32:29[SPEAKER_01]: And then not letting fear get in the way.
- 32:31[SPEAKER_01]: That means doing things scared.
