- 0:00Speaker 1: All Star Toyota presents Off the Bench with Jacob Hester
- 0:04Speaker 1: and Matt Flynn.
- 0:05Speaker 2: Okay, here we go where.
- 0:07Speaker 1: The plays get broken down and science gets denied.
- 0:10Speaker 2: I got to come off the bench.
- 0:11Speaker 1: Hour two of Off the Bench Live from the Mercedes
- 0:14Speaker 1: ben So Baton Rouge Studio starts now.
- 0:23Speaker 3: All right, welcome back in to the unofficial pregame show
- 0:26Speaker 3: of LU and U c l A.
- 0:31Speaker 2: You know what really pissed me off?
- 0:33Speaker 4: Those stairs we just did in between the seconds?
- 0:35Speaker 2: That really didn't like the amount of pain my achilles
- 0:38Speaker 2: gave me.
- 0:39Speaker 3: But no, what pissed me off about the I thought
- 0:41Speaker 3: you're gonna say that the producers didn't also join us
- 0:44Speaker 3: in the stairs because this is supposed to be a
- 0:45Speaker 3: foxhole situation.
- 0:46Speaker 5: Hey brother, Hey, I don't know by hitting them stairs,
- 0:49Speaker 5: maybe I could have dropped down, hit ten, pushed us
- 0:51Speaker 5: with you.
- 0:53Speaker 2: All right, Well, look man, what are you eight?
- 0:59Speaker 5: So? I can't believe y'all liked doing stairs because that
- 1:02Speaker 5: used to be the worst thing I hated doing. I mean,
- 1:03Speaker 5: nobody said here I'm about to say, bro stairs was
- 1:06Speaker 5: the worst one. You know, I play high schootball. I
- 1:09Speaker 5: didn't play the college ball like y'all you know, you know,
- 1:11Speaker 5: and Captain Meathead. I wish I was, but stairs was brutal,
- 1:14Speaker 5: like especially when you get that first rep in. I
- 1:17Speaker 5: was as hot and steaming in there. You can't even breathe.
- 1:19Speaker 5: People falling down the stairs. We run it up. Terrible
- 1:23Speaker 5: Indian runs too. I hated Indian runs.
- 1:24Speaker 2: It's usually going down, that's the worst.
- 1:26Speaker 4: Yeah. Downs, bat on the knees.
- 1:27Speaker 2: Yeah, better like your quads are already shaky. Yeah, now
- 1:31Speaker 2: you gotta keep yourself. I mean we ran Tiger Stadium
- 1:33Speaker 2: a couple of times. It wasn't something we specialized in.
- 1:35Speaker 2: We did it more probably the year before you got there,
- 1:38Speaker 2: because because our main facility was at the stadium.
- 1:42Speaker 3: Yeah, your first year we had the we were still
- 1:44Speaker 3: in entire stadium where we were. That was our sophomore year
- 1:46Speaker 3: that we moved over across the pond Rosa. Yeah, so
- 1:49Speaker 3: we remember we took the old prison buses, oh for sure.
- 1:52Speaker 3: Oh Bo Davis was the bus driver. Now sts defensive
- 1:55Speaker 3: line coach. I just can't remember if he hit every
- 1:58Speaker 3: single curve from the stadium to.
- 2:02Speaker 4: The practice field. Well there's a lot of them. Yeah,
- 2:05Speaker 4: he didn't miss anything.
- 2:06Speaker 2: Cleaned that up.
- 2:06Speaker 4: But yeah, those are the white buses.
- 2:10Speaker 5: Those are definitely prison They were prison buses for prison buses.
- 2:15Speaker 3: God, I remember just sitting there and I'm young, I'm
- 2:17Speaker 3: a freshman, and just like when I would see the
- 2:20Speaker 3: the veterans in their face and how miserable they looked
- 2:23Speaker 3: about what was about to go down.
- 2:25Speaker 2: I'm like, I'm pretty sure you know this is during
- 2:28Speaker 2: August heat too in the morning. I'm pretty sure Bo
- 2:30Speaker 2: Davis would go down and close all the windows and
- 2:34Speaker 2: the door to get it as steamy as possible as
- 2:36Speaker 2: they could, because the first thing we were doing got
- 2:37Speaker 2: in there like it was the old school school bus.
- 2:40Speaker 2: Like you had to pinch the sides of the top
- 2:42Speaker 2: and then.
- 2:43Speaker 3: Like pull it down and then you and I we
- 2:47Speaker 3: used to walk back every practice to the stadium because
- 2:49Speaker 3: we didn't want to get back on those buses.
- 2:51Speaker 2: It was all I mean, it was like the whole
- 2:55Speaker 2: thing of old school training camp was just just to
- 2:57Speaker 2: mind you.
- 2:59Speaker 4: Oh, yeah, how much can I put on your plate?
- 3:02Speaker 2: Yep?
- 3:02Speaker 3: And how much can you handle? I'm gonna break you. Yeah,
- 3:05Speaker 3: I'm gonna try to break you. You're not always gonna
- 3:08Speaker 3: get it done, but I'm gonna try. And the ones
- 3:10Speaker 3: that can't handle it, are not gonna be here very.
- 3:12Speaker 2: That's the point, right, that's the old you know. They
- 3:14Speaker 2: don't do it as much anymore. I try to weed
- 3:16Speaker 2: out the week, but that's what it. Guys will just
- 3:21Speaker 2: leave you leave. Yeah, but looking back at it.
- 3:26Speaker 3: Hardest thing you ever you ever had to do at
- 3:29Speaker 3: l s U conditioning wise, like off season workout, because
- 3:35Speaker 3: sneaky one was the ramps of Tiger Stadium.
- 3:38Speaker 4: It was a sneaky one, yeah, but the hardest. But
- 3:40Speaker 4: it was sneaky.
- 3:41Speaker 2: It was sneaky hard, the hardest thing. So the first
- 3:46Speaker 2: fourth quarter we had that's got to be up there.
- 3:49Speaker 2: It's got to be like top two or three moments. No,
- 3:54Speaker 2: I'm pretty sure I only did it one year, like
- 3:58Speaker 2: the Full Blood Yeah, moffit running around and sabing, running around, yelling,
- 4:04Speaker 2: try to the fourth corner and that was Yeah. They
- 4:06Speaker 2: would put the field, Yeah, theyould put trash cans in
- 4:08Speaker 2: the middle of the field. They'd put them all over
- 4:09Speaker 2: the sidelines and those were there for your throw up
- 4:12Speaker 2: because when you got so tired. Yeah, we had to
- 4:14Speaker 2: do some just crazy crazy we I can't really explain
- 4:17Speaker 2: to you the workout. It's been a long time, But
- 4:19Speaker 2: we ran a lot of curves, We ran a lot
- 4:21Speaker 2: of one tens and gasses and things, but it was
- 4:23Speaker 2: there to make you break. And I would say there
- 4:26Speaker 2: was probably each day was probably you know, twenty to
- 4:31Speaker 2: thirty percent people puking. Probably on top of that, it was,
- 4:37Speaker 2: you know, the one tens always kind of got the
- 4:39Speaker 2: headlines for like the hard thing, that's the conditioning test,
- 4:42Speaker 2: and you know, sometimes you'd have to run you know,
- 4:44Speaker 2: the conditioning test was sixteen one tens, but sometimes during
- 4:47Speaker 2: the workout, depending on if somebody was coasting through the
- 4:50Speaker 2: line or all started or whatever, you have to run
- 4:52Speaker 2: an extra.
- 4:52Speaker 3: I mean remember though, when we first got here, we
- 4:55Speaker 3: started at twenty six and worked our way down.
- 4:57Speaker 2: Every the first week was twenty six, and but also
- 5:00Speaker 2: the rest time also went down with that. It started
- 5:03Speaker 2: out like a minute rest and yeah, fifty five to fifty. Yeah,
- 5:06Speaker 2: it all built you to the conditioning test, which everybody
- 5:08Speaker 2: had to pass, which was sixteen one tens with forty
- 5:11Speaker 2: five seconds rest, and depending on what position group you're in,
- 5:15Speaker 2: you had to run each one in a certain amount
- 5:17Speaker 2: of time. It was fifteen seconds, sixteen seconds, then eighteen
- 5:20Speaker 2: for the.
- 5:20Speaker 4: Line, eighteen for the lineman.
- 5:21Speaker 3: Yeah, and when I tell you, and he might be listening,
- 5:24Speaker 3: he might be back in town when I tell you that.
- 5:27Speaker 3: Maffittt knew that US two had figured the system out
- 5:31Speaker 3: and he hated it.
- 5:33Speaker 2: Oh yeah, we.
- 5:35Speaker 3: We And I mean this, if there was a Hall
- 5:38Speaker 3: of Fame of one tens US two, our captains.
- 5:43Speaker 2: Your boys are on.
- 5:44Speaker 3: We head it down to an exact science where we
- 5:48Speaker 3: finished the finish line at fifteen every single time, and
- 5:53Speaker 3: if you had.
- 5:53Speaker 2: To stop fifteen point nine.
- 5:55Speaker 3: If you had to stop watch, it would have been
- 5:57Speaker 3: the same time on every single week.
- 5:59Speaker 2: So we had to be on under sixteen seconds because
- 6:03Speaker 2: we were mid scilla. And yeah, if you ever thought we
- 6:06Speaker 2: were we were coming in. We were coming in that
- 6:08Speaker 2: finish line between fifteen point seventy five and fifteen point
- 6:12Speaker 2: nine five like every rep.
- 6:14Speaker 3: And we would switch, we'd switch out so like Flynn
- 6:17Speaker 3: would start the pace and so we'd be talking through
- 6:20Speaker 3: it like sprint Coast Glide wid And then we knew
- 6:25Speaker 3: there was a three step process.
- 6:27Speaker 2: And you couldn't do that during the workout because it
- 6:29Speaker 2: was a big like finished through the line. You couldn't
- 6:30Speaker 2: like be slowing down at the line. But when you
- 6:32Speaker 2: were actually on the clock. Yeah, it was. You would
- 6:35Speaker 2: hand behind the line and you'd go and we would.
- 6:38Speaker 2: It wasn't like a full blown sprint, but it was
- 6:39Speaker 2: like ninety percent ninety to ninety five percent to our
- 6:43Speaker 2: own forty forty five yard line at about thirty yards
- 6:47Speaker 2: of slowing down, and then the last ten yards was
- 6:51Speaker 2: basically like walking and timing it up to where the
- 6:55Speaker 2: guy the string coach with the clock was about to
- 6:58Speaker 2: say sixteen, we would we would.
- 7:00Speaker 3: Finish, yeah, and again like Mopet's our boy, like our boy.
- 7:04Speaker 4: But he knew and he didn't like.
- 7:06Speaker 2: It very much.
- 7:09Speaker 3: It was a four pm workout class. He was already pissed,
- 7:12Speaker 3: but we weren't there at six am. H Yeah, four pm. Man,
- 7:16Speaker 3: look in the middle. If you can do it, then
- 7:18Speaker 3: you can do it anytime. Anybody can do it at
- 7:19Speaker 3: six am.
- 7:20Speaker 2: Seven am or four Who gets up and does sup
- 7:22Speaker 2: at seven am?
- 7:24Speaker 6: I would much rather the four pm, Yeah, even if
- 7:28Speaker 6: it's a little hotter. I'd rather the four pm.
- 7:30Speaker 5: A little hotter.
- 7:31Speaker 4: So We're gonna get to mailbag at some point.
- 7:34Speaker 3: But I've told the story on air before, but we
- 7:38Speaker 3: always have new listeners. There was never a more miserable
- 7:41Speaker 3: day than when Jimbo Fisher and Bo Polini and got
- 7:45Speaker 3: in a pissing contest. And we were running perfect forties
- 7:48Speaker 3: after practice, in perfect forties for less, like they had
- 7:52Speaker 3: to be you know, a certain order, like the three
- 7:54Speaker 3: guys in line had to be any like hands like
- 7:57Speaker 3: football ready, stance like you know, hands like everything like
- 8:01Speaker 3: had to be in position. The guy that was running
- 8:05Speaker 3: had to be hand behind the line. Perfect position is
- 8:07Speaker 3: what whatever? Perfect That's why they're called perfect forties.
- 8:10Speaker 2: And it's after this is after practice like a training camp.
- 8:14Speaker 3: Ask true to a days the first the first practice, yeah,
- 8:19Speaker 3: like and everybody in line had to say what was it?
- 8:22Speaker 2: Was it? Like? Ready? Ready?
- 8:23Speaker 4: What was it?
- 8:23Speaker 2: I can't remember what. Everybody had to break down like
- 8:26Speaker 2: in line with their knees bent like, their hands to
- 8:29Speaker 2: the side.
- 8:32Speaker 3: I had everything had to be perfect, but like, look,
- 8:35Speaker 3: we had figured it out. We've been doing it all
- 8:37Speaker 3: off season whatever, and so you know, we just had
- 8:39Speaker 3: a full padded training camp, get after your ass practice
- 8:44Speaker 3: and so we're running these forties and I don't remember,
- 8:46Speaker 3: maybe you do. I don't remember which coach called out
- 8:49Speaker 3: a star player on the other side first.
- 8:52Speaker 2: So let's set this a little bit more of the
- 8:55Speaker 2: States here. Everybody has a line. This is our like
- 8:57Speaker 2: stretch lines from pre practice. So you got your quarter
- 9:00Speaker 2: in a group, you got your receivers, you're running backs,
- 9:02Speaker 2: offensive line on one side the field. Then it's all
- 9:04Speaker 2: the defensive people and it's the defensive line, defensive ends, linebackers, cornerback, safety,
- 9:09Speaker 2: all in their own individual lines, and that individual coach
- 9:13Speaker 2: is running each line. So Jimbo would run our line,
- 9:16Speaker 2: so he was the quarterback.
- 9:18Speaker 4: Quorterer would run our lines exactly.
- 9:20Speaker 2: Stacy Searles or stud would run the offensive lines. Yeah,
- 9:23Speaker 2: you'll get it. So they would be the judge of
- 9:25Speaker 2: each line of their group, their guys. I see what
- 9:29Speaker 2: was going on.
- 9:30Speaker 4: Well again, I don't remember if it was.
- 9:32Speaker 2: I believe it was bo.
- 9:33Speaker 4: Okay, so Bo called out. Was it early?
- 9:37Speaker 2: I think it was so Bo.
- 9:39Speaker 4: Polini called out early due set the receiver and.
- 9:42Speaker 2: Say calling out they were like, didn't like earlier set,
- 9:45Speaker 2: didn't finish through the line.
- 9:47Speaker 3: Early set, hand wasn't behind the line or whatever it was.
- 9:50Speaker 3: He called it out right and that never happened. Like
- 9:53Speaker 3: defensive guys never called out offense. Offense never called out defense.
- 9:57Speaker 3: And so when Bo Polini called out early across the
- 10:00Speaker 3: old Jimbo Fisher.
- 10:01Speaker 4: Oh, Jimbo was ready.
- 10:02Speaker 3: Oh really you're gonna okay, So the next one, the
- 10:07Speaker 3: next one, Jimbo Fisher, Glenn Dorsey didn't finish. You're like,
- 10:12Speaker 3: put what so they don't count? And you gotta get
- 10:17Speaker 3: you got to get perfect forties, full speed ten everybody, every.
- 10:22Speaker 4: Swing and soul in there, and.
- 10:24Speaker 2: We're exhausted, right but our wheels are starting to turn
- 10:27Speaker 2: like we we know what just happened right there. Yeah,
- 10:31Speaker 2: and we've been around these coaches long enough to realize
- 10:34Speaker 2: this ain't going anywhere fast.
- 10:36Speaker 4: No, nobody's gonna back down.
- 10:37Speaker 2: Nobody's backing down.
- 10:38Speaker 4: Oh my god.
- 10:39Speaker 3: And then it turned into Hess didn't finish, Craig Stells
- 10:46Speaker 3: fall start.
- 10:47Speaker 4: I mean.
- 10:50Speaker 3: Calling out everybody. I'm talking about every week, every big
- 10:53Speaker 3: name player that you can think of, Richard Dixon, false start.
- 10:58Speaker 3: This went on and on, I mean on, and then
- 11:01Speaker 3: Jimbo and Bo are just japping at each other, I
- 11:05Speaker 3: mean just getting after each other and every star player
- 11:09Speaker 3: starter that you can think of on a national championship team.
- 11:12Speaker 2: Craig Steltz would never loafed in his life.
- 11:15Speaker 3: Craig Steltz could run from here to Brewleian back and
- 11:17Speaker 3: be full speed and never even breathe hard. But he
- 11:20Speaker 3: got called out for not finishing right way, so like
- 11:23Speaker 3: it became a thing and Less should have stopped it.
- 11:26Speaker 3: He should have stepped in, be like, and he did eventually.
- 11:28Speaker 4: He did.
- 11:29Speaker 3: He did it eventually because like you know, he's like,
- 11:31Speaker 3: all right, I know what's going on here.
- 11:32Speaker 4: I let it go for a little bit.
- 11:33Speaker 3: He did stop it, But man, I mean did we
- 11:36Speaker 3: run I mean thirty something of these perfect forty full
- 11:40Speaker 3: speed after practice the state middle so I mean we're
- 11:43Speaker 3: like it might have been like high twenties, but it
- 11:45Speaker 3: felt like thirty.
- 11:46Speaker 4: He got so bad, so many people like.
- 11:49Speaker 3: Ivs passing out cold tub immediately, like just jumping in
- 11:55Speaker 3: with everything on. It got so bad that Jimbo and
- 11:59Speaker 3: Bow had to get in front of the team and
- 12:01Speaker 3: apologize to the team at team meeting that night.
- 12:05Speaker 2: Hell yeah, it was it was hard. Like Less saw it. Eventually,
- 12:11Speaker 2: he knew what was happened, but it's like they just.
- 12:13Speaker 3: Let it ride for a little bit because he was like,
- 12:15Speaker 3: I'm getting extra work out of these guys.
- 12:16Speaker 2: Look jim and Bow like when they get mad.
- 12:21Speaker 3: We're talking about West Virginia and Youngstown, Ohio, two places
- 12:25Speaker 3: like with a lot of grit that aren't going to back.
- 12:28Speaker 2: Some people get mad and you're like, all right, all right,
- 12:32Speaker 2: well you look like a clown or whatever. Those people
- 12:34Speaker 2: get mad, they're scary. Yeah, they are terrifying.
- 12:40Speaker 4: Between Lane as very skinny guy, you know, not when
- 12:44Speaker 4: he get said, look, oh.
- 12:45Speaker 2: Yeah, like for a second there, Miles, it would be
- 12:47Speaker 2: like miles like getting in between like two pibulls fighting
- 12:49Speaker 2: at that point.
- 12:50Speaker 5: Yeah, so is this around the same time you guys
- 12:53Speaker 5: are at l s U with that will Mushtank video
- 12:55Speaker 5: and like Nick say, it was like killing some guy.
- 12:57Speaker 3: That was that was after that was two years after that. Okay,
- 13:00Speaker 3: now we had our time with those coaches, So about
- 13:03Speaker 3: how how was that dynamic? Because you know, outside looking
- 13:05Speaker 3: at it, look I love looks crazy.
- 13:07Speaker 2: I loved it.
- 13:08Speaker 3: That's how That's what I respond to, Taylor. You can
- 13:12Speaker 3: pull that up if you want to what Jordan's talking about.
- 13:15Speaker 3: So for me, okay, that's what I respond to. Everybody
- 13:18Speaker 3: takes coaching differently. There's some people in EJ and I
- 13:21Speaker 3: talk about this all the time on off.
- 13:23Speaker 4: Campus, Like for EJ. He needed an add of boy.
- 13:26Speaker 4: He'll tell you. I needed an add of boy. I
- 13:28Speaker 4: needed to.
- 13:28Speaker 3: Be reassured, reassured that hey, you're doing a great I
- 13:32Speaker 3: wanted the coach to tell me how bad I was,
- 13:35Speaker 3: like I wanted him to be And then look and
- 13:38Speaker 3: Jimbo was really good about this, coming back behind.
- 13:41Speaker 4: And be like, you know what I had to do that.
- 13:43Speaker 4: You know, I had to get on you. You know
- 13:46Speaker 4: I love you, right. I need I need I needed
- 13:49Speaker 4: like I needed it where I felt like I was
- 13:51Speaker 4: never safe. I always had to go out there. I
- 13:54Speaker 4: always had to prove something.
- 13:56Speaker 2: That's that's the that's the beauty of a good coach
- 13:59Speaker 2: versus a great coach. Hey, you have to push a
- 14:02Speaker 2: player to their limits. You have to push him fat,
- 14:04Speaker 2: like farther than they ever thought they could go mentally
- 14:07Speaker 2: or physically. But you also need to know that everybody's
- 14:10Speaker 2: an individual as well. Like you couldn't coach like Rigia,
- 14:14Speaker 2: You couldn't coach like Rohand like you could Marcus.
- 14:18Speaker 3: No no, no no, and you just like you couldn't
- 14:21Speaker 3: you couldn't coach JaMarcus like you coached you.
- 14:23Speaker 2: I mean true, So I kind of use a couple
- 14:26Speaker 2: more out of boys for sure.
- 14:27Speaker 3: And that's that's your that's you're coaching, which is fine,
- 14:30Speaker 3: It's completely fine. Like we I had some like every
- 14:33Speaker 3: day of practice. Every time, I'm like, will I just
- 14:36Speaker 3: moved to safety. I've never played this position in my life.
- 14:39Speaker 3: I'm a freshman.
- 14:40Speaker 5: Just did not get that.
- 14:42Speaker 2: Coach, I love protect her on punt.
- 14:46Speaker 6: You were probably protector on punt because you're gonna You're
- 14:49Speaker 6: gonna be there in an actual game.
- 14:51Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, I think they want to be back there
- 14:52Speaker 2: because well they knew I was like physically just more
- 14:55Speaker 2: dominant than most people.
- 14:57Speaker 3: Who Which which player do you think got more of those?
- 15:03Speaker 2: Was it was he got some linel Yeah, he got
- 15:07Speaker 2: a lot.
- 15:08Speaker 4: Some man line is such a good dude. Why you
- 15:10Speaker 4: yelling him?
- 15:12Speaker 5: Uh?
- 15:13Speaker 4: Yeah, Rian Gordon got a lot.
- 15:15Speaker 2: Of those, But it was usually younger guys that were
- 15:21Speaker 2: getting it. I mean, yeah, they always are out there
- 15:23Speaker 2: to prove a point that.
- 15:25Speaker 3: The fresh Yeah, I'll think of a better answer because
- 15:28Speaker 3: I know there's somebody better that we're missing.
- 15:31Speaker 4: I'm trying to think, like Saban's guys.
- 15:33Speaker 3: Were Corey Webster, Marcus Spears, and Jesse Daniels. When I
- 15:39Speaker 3: was here with him, like those three guys saying they
- 15:42Speaker 3: were safe.
- 15:43Speaker 4: He loved them.
- 15:46Speaker 2: I'm trying to think of a linebacker corps at that
- 15:49Speaker 2: time besides line.
- 15:50Speaker 3: To your point, like a lot of people that got
- 15:54Speaker 3: those weren't names that everybody would know. DJ qually, do
- 16:00Speaker 3: you remember the time he met Maxwell. We're playing against
- 16:05Speaker 3: Missippi State Jefferson Pilot game. We're up by a thousand
- 16:10Speaker 3: against Mississippi State and Maxwell blocks somebody in the back
- 16:14Speaker 3: on punk return or something, and Saban meets him at
- 16:17Speaker 3: the hash who grabs the face mask, whispers sweet nothings
- 16:22Speaker 3: to him and just ripped.
- 16:24Speaker 4: I actually have somebody sent that to me.
- 16:27Speaker 2: Yeah, I will say special teams caught a lot of that, Yeah,
- 16:31Speaker 2: just because.
- 16:31Speaker 4: Cam Vaughan caught a lot. I'm like, Cam's like the
- 16:34Speaker 4: nicest human as well.
- 16:35Speaker 2: And what are we doing like special teams? You're just
- 16:37Speaker 2: so susceptible to silly penalties like you see. I mean
- 16:41Speaker 2: even in the NFL, how many blocks in the backs
- 16:44Speaker 2: you see every week? A couple nauseating Now.
- 16:47Speaker 5: It reminds me of a just this year when Brian
- 16:49Speaker 5: Kelly was getting on the snapper. The long snapper just
- 16:52Speaker 5: kind of messing. He's like you gotta get the sleeping
- 16:54Speaker 5: snap again.
- 16:55Speaker 4: No doubt. Oh my gosh, what is going on, Chris Hyeah? Yeah,
- 17:00Speaker 4: go do that? What are we doing?
- 17:01Speaker 3: Yes, he's the coach. You messed up. He's gonna get
- 17:06Speaker 3: into you a little bit.
- 17:07Speaker 2: Walk walk coaches job push people further than they thought
- 17:13Speaker 2: they could go.
- 17:14Speaker 5: Yes, sir, Amen, amen to that.
- 17:17Speaker 4: Actually all right, don't know what that was.
- 17:21Speaker 2: It was baseball talk. I know when we get back.
- 17:25Speaker 3: I had another point. I'll eventually, at some point I'll
- 17:29Speaker 3: find my way. I'll circle back to the point I
- 17:31Speaker 3: was going to make there at the end.
- 17:33Speaker 4: But we do have o TB.
- 17:35Speaker 2: Mailbag led this segment off by saying the one thing
- 17:38Speaker 2: that actually pissed me off about the Raindoway. We'll get
- 17:41Speaker 2: to that next.
- 17:42Speaker 3: No, it's sopposed to be Mailbag when come back. Well
- 17:44Speaker 3: then after that, okay, fair.
- 17:46Speaker 4: Enough, that.
- 17:52Speaker 3: Go to Boudros Electrical. I'm going to think of that
- 17:54Speaker 3: point I had. It was so good it was my tongue.
- 17:57Speaker 4: Bros.

- 18:00Speaker 3: that free generat quote right there at top right corner

- 19:01Speaker 5: What they playing?
- 19:03Speaker 1: I say from the locker room to the airwaves. It's
- 19:10Speaker 1: off the bench with Jacob Hester and Matt Flynn.
- 19:13Speaker 3: Beat O TV mail Bag.
- 19:22Speaker 2: Let's guess ride.
- 19:25Speaker 5: I help this special delivery for the bench and look
- 19:28Speaker 5: it is marked most urgent.
- 19:29Speaker 2: We'll be writing to you the internet.
- 19:32Speaker 5: What the is the internet?
- 19:43Speaker 2: What the record show? I just got the hand from
- 19:45Speaker 2: Jacob when I try to talk about.
- 19:46Speaker 4: Baseball, so you can uh oh, TB.
- 19:52Speaker 3: Mail Bag, are all working out between breaks? Yes, yes,
- 19:56Speaker 3: there are twenty five push ups, some flutter here and there,
- 20:01Speaker 3: some stairs here and there.
- 20:03Speaker 4: It's that's like, it's not completely new.
- 20:05Speaker 2: It's all about the games. Guys.
- 20:08Speaker 4: Bob and I did this.
- 20:10Speaker 3: There was like a summer that we did it for
- 20:12Speaker 3: like a month straight and didn't miss a set and
- 20:15Speaker 3: feeling pretty good about ourselves during that month. Usually a
- 20:19Speaker 3: media days because they're so long, like we're back in
- 20:22Speaker 3: a different room for Sirius XM and so it's like,
- 20:26Speaker 3: you know, you got to get the blood flowing.
- 20:28Speaker 2: Get the triangle table makes it hard. We get it.
- 20:34Speaker 3: Here, TB mail Bag, What should I do with my
- 20:37Speaker 3: nineteen ninety to ninety one unopened wax boxes?
- 20:40Speaker 4: Open, sabers Sell.
- 20:43Speaker 2: I don't think those are worth a lot. Don't take
- 20:47Speaker 2: it from me though, we don't know a lot. Matt
- 20:48Speaker 2: Flynn says, open.
- 20:49Speaker 4: Well, it's it's like the card game is so weird.
- 20:53Speaker 3: Because like you'll get this like badass, you know Burrow
- 20:58Speaker 3: or Mahomes gonna be an okake card, and then you'll
- 21:01Speaker 3: get like Aroma Dunes and they's like, oh my god,
- 21:05Speaker 3: you got a Roma d kid. It's all about rookies, certainly,
- 21:09Speaker 3: like this rookie quarterback class that not this last one
- 21:12Speaker 3: with Cam Worton then, but the one before with JD five.
- 21:16Speaker 4: Like it gets butanos.
- 21:19Speaker 2: Right, I mean, what I'm learning is for sure it's
- 21:24Speaker 2: gonna depend a lot on this year too. How all
- 21:26Speaker 2: these quarterbacks progress or don't progress, because like an unopened
- 21:29Speaker 2: case of this past year football cards is crazy expensive,
- 21:34Speaker 2: but an unopened case from like the Matt Jones here
- 21:38Speaker 2: is really cheap. But it was probably a pretty expensive
- 21:41Speaker 2: after his first year.
- 21:43Speaker 4: Yeah yeah, yeah.
- 21:44Speaker 3: It's just like any investment and you get some of
- 21:47Speaker 3: these players, you try to decide when you sell, when
- 21:51Speaker 3: you hold on to them. What I want to keep
- 21:54Speaker 3: from my personal collection, and a lot of it is
- 21:57Speaker 3: how does the player progress on the field, Like we're
- 21:59Speaker 3: talking him before, Like him and I both got some
- 22:01Speaker 3: Michael Pennix that right now, you can get something for
- 22:05Speaker 3: him for sure, But if he goes out there has
- 22:07Speaker 3: a big year.
- 22:08Speaker 2: I'm going long term investment on him and I got
- 22:10Speaker 2: some Spencer Rattlers.
- 22:11Speaker 3: Yeah, same cool cards. So just like anything. Hashtag go
- 22:17Speaker 3: to b mailbag. Thoughts on T Bob wearing a jersey
- 22:19Speaker 3: of some random LA MLS player from the nineties two
- 22:23Speaker 3: thousands instead of wrapping Louisiana for his first jerseday Hasha excelout.
- 22:30Speaker 3: I saw him with a Galaxy jersey on. I'm proud
- 22:33Speaker 3: of him for wearing a soccer kit. Proud him for that,
- 22:36Speaker 3: but k where he got it from. And I know
- 22:41Speaker 3: I got him an authentic Nolan Kane oh baseball jersey
- 22:48Speaker 3: that he wears pretty often. I'm surprised he didn't wear
- 22:50Speaker 3: that because I went over to the facilit down like, hey,
- 22:52Speaker 3: I need a two X. They're like, all right, let
- 22:55Speaker 3: me dig dig dig dig dig.
- 22:56Speaker 4: They found one. It was Nolan Kn's on jersey.
- 22:59Speaker 2: We went to the New Family yesterday just kind of
- 23:01Speaker 2: walk around the New Dicks and the mall huge too,
- 23:04Speaker 2: just crazy right, But I was down there, I was like, man,
- 23:07Speaker 2: I need too, I need to get me one of
- 23:11Speaker 2: these LSU baseball jerseys now because I'm a huge baseball head.
- 23:17Speaker 2: Is that what they call fans baseball head stitchat.
- 23:19Speaker 5: We'll start it.
- 23:20Speaker 4: Well, you'll get yours stitch head stitchhead. Yeah, that sounds aggressive.
- 23:25Speaker 4: What it is?
- 23:26Speaker 2: Hair? I got one to be mailbag kind a box
- 23:29Speaker 2: of my high single serves in my pantry. Expired in
- 23:31Speaker 2: March of twenty twenty three. Does it go bad? Or
- 23:35Speaker 2: can I use it? I legally cannot tell you to
- 23:38Speaker 2: use it.
- 23:39Speaker 5: Just bring it to me. I'll take them drink my head.
- 23:41Speaker 2: I'd probably give it a shot, though, give the.
- 23:44Speaker 3: Old college try hashtag go to be mail bag? Who
- 23:48Speaker 3: has the most expensive card not in your collection? Your
- 23:51Speaker 3: actual card probably about the same. You and I have
- 23:56Speaker 3: looked at our our car like our actual cards, We've
- 23:59Speaker 3: looked at them. I recently bought up a bunch of
- 24:02Speaker 3: numbered cards to give to my children.
- 24:05Speaker 4: I'm gonna get them graded, put them in a.
- 24:07Speaker 3: Case, the whole deal, just in case they want to
- 24:09Speaker 3: have them to pass down to their children.
- 24:12Speaker 4: Had a family friend growing up.
- 24:14Speaker 3: His granddad played for the Lions, and they had his
- 24:16Speaker 3: card in the office, and I just thought that was
- 24:18Speaker 3: the coolest thing that his granddad's card was in the office.
- 24:22Speaker 2: Yeah, I think well, so for your your fortieth birthday
- 24:24Speaker 2: I got you as a graded nine rookie card out
- 24:28Speaker 2: of twenty twenty five. It's out of a number, yeah, number,
- 24:33Speaker 2: Like maybe credit that part to getting you into this
- 24:36Speaker 2: card game.
- 24:37Speaker 4: Yeah, but I know.
- 24:38Speaker 2: So my son got me into it. And it's like
- 24:40Speaker 2: he thought it was the coolest thing looking at cards
- 24:44Speaker 2: of mine, and then I thought it was cool because
- 24:46Speaker 2: I'd seen thousands, like people you know, signed a ton
- 24:49Speaker 2: of them, right and you see you see all these
- 24:51Speaker 2: and what I've learned that I've been signing, like the
- 24:53Speaker 2: base cards. I didn't know there were other cool looking cards.
- 24:56Speaker 2: But I still haven't found like a Jersey number match
- 24:59Speaker 2: card or like I'd love to find like a one
- 25:02Speaker 2: on one. You can't find it. I mean, who knows.
- 25:05Speaker 2: Someone probably mailed it to me like to sign, and
- 25:08Speaker 2: I probably threw it away or something.
- 25:11Speaker 4: I know, what did you do?
- 25:12Speaker 2: You still get like random mail?
- 25:14Speaker 4: Oh yeah?
- 25:15Speaker 2: My question is how do they get my home address?
- 25:18Speaker 4: It's very easy. It's like I'm Google like that.
- 25:21Speaker 2: I don't sign it. If it comes to my home address,
- 25:23Speaker 2: I'm not doing it, you know why, because like I'm
- 25:26Speaker 2: just confirming that that's my home address. At that point.
- 25:29Speaker 3: I don't want these I'm fifty, Like when it comes in, like,
- 25:33Speaker 3: I'm like, man, I do read the letters and if
- 25:36Speaker 3: it's like a kid wrote this on my all.
- 25:38Speaker 2: Right, yeah, but a lot so what I learned playing
- 25:41Speaker 2: was a lot of times people get their kids to
- 25:44Speaker 2: write things or you know, respect to the game. But
- 25:47Speaker 2: from the home address standpoint, I also felt like there's
- 25:51Speaker 2: a message board out there they're like, yeah, it's his,
- 25:53Speaker 2: it's confirmed, got it back, it's definitely his home address.
- 25:58Speaker 2: I don't want that should I don't want that evil
- 26:01Speaker 2: on me. Fu eil out there people.
- 26:05Speaker 5: I said, these are real world problems that I just
- 26:08Speaker 5: cannot relate to random people mailing me stuff. Is my
- 26:12Speaker 5: My real world problem at the moment is all these
- 26:15Speaker 5: spam numbers I keep calling.
- 26:16Speaker 2: Me and that's a big problem. I don't know what
- 26:18Speaker 2: is going on with.
- 26:20Speaker 3: I pay like this service like thirty dollars a month
- 26:23Speaker 3: to like try to get rid of it, and it's
- 26:25Speaker 3: it's been better, yeah, but still some because.
- 26:28Speaker 2: Alasa did that that she signed us up for some service,
- 26:30Speaker 2: Like what everybody, There's not one person I've talked to
- 26:33Speaker 2: that isn't getting.
- 26:33Speaker 4: The craziest pace. Mine's always for the same thing.
- 26:36Speaker 3: It's like different numbers across the country for like a
- 26:39Speaker 3: seventy five thousand dollars loan.
- 26:40Speaker 5: Yeah, oh you got you gotta prepaid, you get this
- 26:43Speaker 5: pre you got.
- 26:44Speaker 4: To prove for this a bezel, Mine's always the same number.
- 26:46Speaker 2: Oh how about the like the random uh spam text
- 26:50Speaker 2: messages that are completely just there to get you, like
- 26:53Speaker 2: in trouble in your life? Yeah, I got one the
- 26:55Speaker 2: other day from an unknow number and then the underneath
- 26:57Speaker 2: it says report junk. It's like I got the stakes
- 26:59Speaker 2: on the grill. Make sure you pick up the line whoa,
- 27:01Speaker 2: And I'm like, what.
- 27:03Speaker 5: Well, I never got those. That's a little.
- 27:06Speaker 2: Text though, because they tell you where they are shoved.
- 27:09Speaker 2: Get some steaks, man some wine. That's a good point,
- 27:12Speaker 2: I said.
- 27:13Speaker 5: I saw them more like an invite than a bad text.
- 27:15Speaker 3: Yeah for real, OTB mail bag, favorite sports drink brand
- 27:20Speaker 3: and flavor.
- 27:22Speaker 2: Mmm, let's all hold on, let's let these guys first.
- 27:25Speaker 3: Would that fall into my high or we're like.
- 27:30Speaker 4: Outside of my high?
- 27:32Speaker 2: No?
- 27:32Speaker 5: No, okay, what because they're all trash Okay, well as
- 27:37Speaker 5: somebody that I just tried my high for the first
- 27:38Speaker 5: time when you wasn't here on Friday. Yeah, and I
- 27:41Speaker 5: was like I was. I came in here, I was like,
- 27:43Speaker 5: oh man, I'm what's gonna be here? Was not here.
- 27:47Speaker 5: I will say this, I'm a little addicted to him
- 27:49Speaker 5: because then I went on Amazon's I'm like, you know what,
- 27:52Speaker 5: I like this little blue flavor man tailor put me
- 27:54Speaker 5: on like he's a really good drinking them. I look
- 27:57Speaker 5: on Amazon and fifty dollars for a whole pack, and
- 27:59Speaker 5: I was like, you know what, I don't know if
- 28:02Speaker 5: I got that Amy Dog. I don't know if I
- 28:04Speaker 5: got that Amy do.
- 28:04Speaker 4: Wow. Some of us it's fifty it's a dollar pat
- 28:07Speaker 4: some of us by my high at the grocery store
- 28:10Speaker 4: like a good friend. That's me.
- 28:13Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 28:13Speaker 4: Yeah, you're welcome.
- 28:14Speaker 6: So for your your normal flavors like you have out
- 28:17Speaker 6: all the time. I like fruit punch, like I basically
- 28:20Speaker 6: like fruit punch. Anything you gave us one when you
- 28:23Speaker 6: were in here. I've never bought it in store. It
- 28:26Speaker 6: was like a greenish blue Ooh.
- 28:28Speaker 2: The island.
- 28:29Speaker 6: The island one that was probably the best one of dried.
- 28:32Speaker 2: Jit ever had a ocean water slush from Sonic.
- 28:36Speaker 4: So it's like that's fantastic.
- 28:38Speaker 2: There's still fifty dollars on Amazon.
- 28:40Speaker 3: Drink my high dot com for fifty hashtag O to
- 28:42Speaker 3: B mail bag, What is the most expensive bottle of
- 28:44Speaker 3: alcohol you have had or tried? Mine would be we
- 28:50Speaker 3: had some pappy from Mark Stoops in Destin, Florida. It
- 28:53Speaker 3: was medoring our producer Hugh and Alyssa Lane, and he
- 29:00Speaker 3: appreciated us always giving Kentucky some love on our sec
- 29:05Speaker 3: radio Chan was going on, and he bought us some
- 29:08Speaker 3: nice alcohol and we sat there and we talked fall
- 29:12Speaker 3: with Mark Stoops for about an hour.
- 29:14Speaker 2: It was a great nice Is that called propaganda bribery?
- 29:17Speaker 3: No, He's just like, hey, a lot of people don't
- 29:19Speaker 3: talk about just years ago Kentucky football. You'll always, you know,
- 29:23Speaker 3: at least point out the things that we do really well,
- 29:25Speaker 3: and we appreciate that.
- 29:27Speaker 4: And he's like cheers.
- 29:28Speaker 3: And by far the most expensive alcohol I've ever had,
- 29:31Speaker 3: because I'm not a big drinker.
- 29:33Speaker 2: So I've I've definitely tried some very expensive alcohol, but
- 29:38Speaker 2: I'll say this, I did like a pappy deal one time.
- 29:42Speaker 2: Some you know, been around some I guess some fun groups.
- 29:48Speaker 2: I'll say the most expensive alcohol I've ever purchased my
- 29:52Speaker 2: own self was probably think about a two hundred dollars
- 29:55Speaker 2: bout of the field one time.
- 29:56Speaker 4: Yeh, yeah, I'm having it was a splur It was
- 29:59Speaker 4: a big spla. I've never done anything crazy like some names.
- 30:02Speaker 4: Is about as crazy as I get. With Moan Walter.
- 30:04Speaker 2: I mean he goes some people. I mean there's oh,
- 30:06Speaker 2: they could spend four or five grand on a bottle
- 30:08Speaker 2: of wine.
- 30:11Speaker 5: A twenty dollars bottle, Jack Daniels, I'm good. I am
- 30:13Speaker 5: not expensive.
- 30:14Speaker 2: Look, I am not picky when it comes. That's up
- 30:17Speaker 2: my bourbon or whiskey of choice. Everybody, all my close
- 30:22Speaker 2: friends know this. I it's Kirkland brand Canadian whiskey.
- 30:26Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 30:26Speaker 2: He loves nineteen ninety nine for a handle.
- 30:28Speaker 4: Yeah, and some people will put their nose up to that.
- 30:31Speaker 2: Yep.
- 30:32Speaker 4: Matthew Moa Scona when we had a companionship three.
- 30:36Speaker 2: To six crushed me for it. I mean just because
- 30:39Speaker 2: there wasn't enough tannins or something in it.
- 30:43Speaker 4: To otb meilbag.
- 30:44Speaker 3: What OC had the craziest most over the top play
- 30:47Speaker 3: calls for ones I played for. I mean I had
- 30:55Speaker 3: some great ones, starting with my father in law, Chris
- 30:58Speaker 3: Tilly shout out in high.
- 30:59Speaker 2: School over the off like probably wordy, lengthy.
- 31:02Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm gonna go with Peyton Manning. Was he the quarterback? Yes?
- 31:06Speaker 4: Was he the offensive coordinator by like actual title? No,
- 31:09Speaker 4: but yes he was. There was a lot was the
- 31:13Speaker 4: facto OC.
- 31:14Speaker 2: Kind of kind of like when there's an o C
- 31:16Speaker 2: when the head coaches a play caller, it's.
- 31:18Speaker 4: Like Mike McCoy was our o C, but.
- 31:21Speaker 5: Peyton Manning was your Yeah.
- 31:24Speaker 2: So for me, it's Josh McDaniels in New England, and
- 31:27Speaker 2: I get it. I was there for a cup of coffee.
- 31:29Speaker 2: But so when you when you install an offense, there's
- 31:33Speaker 2: everything makes sense. Like the terminology makes sense everything you know.
- 31:37Speaker 2: The formations are West, Trip, trouble, deuce, divide double like
- 31:40Speaker 2: it starts with the D, starts with a T, and
- 31:42Speaker 2: like everything just makes sense when you're with But you
- 31:47Speaker 2: you bastardize that throughout the season. You throw in wrinkles,
- 31:50Speaker 2: Like you pay the Jaguars, so you're gonna throw in
- 31:52Speaker 2: a Jaguar play. The Panthers you got, you put in
- 31:54Speaker 2: a you know, panther whatever. You you create plays and
- 31:57Speaker 2: then they work so they stick and they become part
- 31:59Speaker 2: of the solvent and over time that offense doesn't make
- 32:03Speaker 2: sense anymore, but everybody that's in it understands it will
- 32:07Speaker 2: hardly under so I get there in twenty fifteen. Oh well,
- 32:12Speaker 2: Tom Brady and Josh Nails, they've been there for quite
- 32:14Speaker 2: a while and had a lot of success, so nothing
- 32:17Speaker 2: that they did made any sense. So learning it from scratch,
- 32:21Speaker 2: especially when I had like four other offenses already in
- 32:23Speaker 2: my brain at that point from different places, it was
- 32:26Speaker 2: the most confusing, had made no sense, and it was
- 32:30Speaker 2: the hardest time I had of all the places I
- 32:33Speaker 2: was learning an offense just because and I'm sure like
- 32:36Speaker 2: when I was in when I was in Green Bay,
- 32:37Speaker 2: it was hard for people to learn that too, because
- 32:39Speaker 2: that playbook was bastardized to the point where that's.
- 32:41Speaker 4: Why we were a number system in San Diego.
- 32:43Speaker 3: I know you hate that, but it was so easy
- 32:45Speaker 3: because everybody understands the numbers right, because a number is
- 32:49Speaker 3: a number. Now, there were some things off of that,
- 32:50Speaker 3: but it's like every now it's on the quarterback, like
- 32:53Speaker 3: Philip had a lot of heavy lifting he had to
- 32:55Speaker 3: do because it's long, right, you got to give everybody
- 32:58Speaker 3: their route. But that is one thing the number system
- 33:00Speaker 3: can't help you out with is because you come in
- 33:02Speaker 3: and play pretty quickly.
- 33:03Speaker 2: But the thing that not being a number system does,
- 33:06Speaker 2: like having the lengthy stuff, is because you can come
- 33:09Speaker 2: up with So in New England they had three ways
- 33:11Speaker 2: to call a play. They had the they had the
- 33:14Speaker 2: full length way, which is like you're a normal pace,
- 33:17Speaker 2: we're getting in the huddle. You had like a medium range,
- 33:20Speaker 2: like we're gonna do like a muddle huddle, like I'm
- 33:23Speaker 2: going to shorten the play that might be twenty three
- 33:26Speaker 2: words long, We're going to shorten it to eight eight words. Yeah,
- 33:30Speaker 2: So and then everybody could memorize that. But then there
- 33:33Speaker 2: was like a cheetah rapid like go go go. Then
- 33:36Speaker 2: it was like one word. I know, you can't really
- 33:39Speaker 2: do that with the numbers.
- 33:40Speaker 4: I guess you could a lot of memorization.
- 33:43Speaker 2: And that's what made it really tough as well, because
- 33:45Speaker 2: you had to like start with you got to learn
- 33:46Speaker 2: the long version, the medium version, and the one word version.
- 33:49Speaker 4: Yeah, and look there's a lot of different ways. I know,
- 33:50Speaker 4: we got to take a break.
- 33:51Speaker 3: But like for Peyton's system, like he had, we had
- 33:54Speaker 3: one through fifteen was our NASCAR package and any like
- 33:57Speaker 3: quarterback famous quarterback number that he's said like that. He
- 34:01Speaker 3: would just say that name and that was the play.
- 34:03Speaker 3: You had to memorize all that. So he'd say moon
- 34:05Speaker 3: moon Moon. That was one for warm moon.
- 34:08Speaker 4: Shout out. Uh, you know, he would go eight for
- 34:10Speaker 4: young young, young, young young.
- 34:13Speaker 3: I'm trying to think of another. No, because Elway was
- 34:16Speaker 3: our boss, playing Flynn, it was our boss. So Elway
- 34:20Speaker 3: was left. Springsteen was right because Bruce Springsteen is the boss.
- 34:23Speaker 2: What are you laughing at you? Who was? Who was?
- 34:27Speaker 4: I'm trying to think of some other numbers. Uh, far
- 34:30Speaker 4: was four? Far was four.
- 34:32Speaker 3: But like it does get simplified, like a power run right.
- 34:37Speaker 3: For Denver, Pendleton Military Base was power to the left, brag.
- 34:42Speaker 3: A military base had an R in it, power to
- 34:45Speaker 3: the right. So there is some simple things once you
- 34:47Speaker 3: learn it, once you get down to it, and you
- 34:49Speaker 3: can get to the nitty gritty and kind of come
- 34:51Speaker 3: up with those things. But getting there, our protections in
- 34:54Speaker 3: Denver are like you know, sub protections slide dell to
- 34:59Speaker 3: the left, rusting to the right.
- 35:00Speaker 4: I'm like, I got that. I got that.
- 35:02Speaker 2: That's what always bothered me about people giving Tony Romo
- 35:05Speaker 2: so much credit for like guess some plays because he
- 35:06Speaker 2: would hear the quarterback.
- 35:07Speaker 4: Oh, I do it all the time on TV. Yeah,
- 35:09Speaker 4: I know.
- 35:10Speaker 2: He was like, you hear l A l A l A,
- 35:12Speaker 2: all right, what's going left?
- 35:15Speaker 5: Basic quarterbacks?
- 35:15Speaker 2: You would go with stuff with RS or l's in it,
- 35:18Speaker 2: or you'd go left coast cities, I know, East coast cities,
- 35:21Speaker 2: West coast cities, or you go politicians, left politicians, right politicians.
- 35:26Speaker 2: You would go like all these different ways to create
- 35:28Speaker 2: left and right. And you hear them, and you know,
- 35:31Speaker 2: you hear Clinton. Oh wait, it's going left.
- 35:33Speaker 4: But Clinton was the left, Reagan was.
- 35:35Speaker 2: To the right. For us, that's a double because you
- 35:38Speaker 2: got the R and the L.
- 35:39Speaker 4: My son, my son's like, we get it that. He's like, yeah, okay, yeah,
- 35:44Speaker 4: you get it. All right.
- 35:45Speaker 3: We also got to take a break. We were long
- 35:47Speaker 3: for said break. That was sports more that o TV
- 35:52Speaker 3: Off the bench, all right.

- 37:03Speaker 1: the bench with Jacob Hester and Matt Flynn.
- 37:07Speaker 2: I can't bring them and looking didn't had that one's
- 37:13Speaker 2: not terrible locker into the airwaves.
- 37:17Speaker 4: Oh I think you've been A song plays great song.
- 37:19Speaker 2: Welcome back to TV.
- 37:21Speaker 4: Here you go play.
- 37:22Speaker 2: Now, Say, fella, you haven't heard LSH plays U C
- 37:25Speaker 2: l A about one hour and was that nineteen minutes?
- 37:32Speaker 4: Yeah, but we'll get there. Don't worry.
- 37:35Speaker 3: Uh shout out to Pat who is listening to us
- 37:38Speaker 3: and hits us up on social media.
- 37:41Speaker 4: I actually just answered this, but I do want to
- 37:43Speaker 4: add something to this. He said.
- 37:45Speaker 3: We've always heard many yell out the famous Omaha plenty
- 37:48Speaker 3: of times, but I'm pretty sure I've heard him call
- 37:51Speaker 3: out slide deal. Can you confirm if so? Why Slidell
- 37:54Speaker 3: actually just said that? So Slidell was our sub protection
- 37:56Speaker 3: to the left because it has an L in it.
- 37:59Speaker 3: All his past protect were Louisiana cities because he's from Louisiana,
- 38:02Speaker 3: so it certainly helped me out.
- 38:03Speaker 4: Rustin was to the right.
- 38:05Speaker 3: The Omaha stuff is funny because I was there for that,
- 38:08Speaker 3: and initially omahall was right. Now, next sound snapped the football,
- 38:13Speaker 3: it was our hurry hurry call. Right, it was Omaha
- 38:16Speaker 3: home Hall. Like next sound after that, omahall was snapped
- 38:19Speaker 3: the ball. I don't care what I say. Well, obviously,
- 38:22Speaker 3: famously the microphones picked it up and so then oh
- 38:24Speaker 3: my god, it.
- 38:25Speaker 4: Became a deal.
- 38:26Speaker 3: Like every week, Peyton would come in there and he's like,
- 38:28Speaker 3: all right, this week, omahall's gonna mean this, and we're
- 38:31Speaker 3: gonna use it as a dummy call and they're gonna
- 38:33Speaker 3: think it's this, And like for the first four weeks,
- 38:34Speaker 3: nobody figured that out and people were jumping off sides
- 38:38Speaker 3: every single time.
- 38:40Speaker 4: And Peyton would get to.
- 38:41Speaker 3: A point where we were playing the Ravens in the
- 38:43Speaker 3: regular season, and I swear to guys the true story.
- 38:46Speaker 3: He would get in front of the team and be like,
- 38:47Speaker 3: all right, guys, so we played you know, ray Lewis
- 38:51Speaker 3: and edding them. Back in the early two thousands, that
- 38:53Speaker 3: game was nationally televised. Those games have bigger microphones. They
- 38:56Speaker 3: pick up more. So there's a lot of calls when
- 38:59Speaker 3: I was in Indye that we still use today. And
- 39:01Speaker 3: they probably got the calls off that broadcast. And so
- 39:04Speaker 3: we're gonna have to change up these calls because I
- 39:06Speaker 3: went back and I watched that and these calls were
- 39:09Speaker 3: on that and I'm like, WHOA, But like, I appreciate
- 39:15Speaker 3: it so much because that like he went and took
- 39:17Speaker 3: the time, got the broadcast call, and they were like
- 39:20Speaker 3: they were still things that we used like to an extent.
- 39:22Speaker 3: He's like so for this week, this is what this
- 39:24Speaker 3: is going to mean.
- 39:25Speaker 5: Hey, he's He's spot on though, because I've watched so
- 39:27Speaker 5: much about how Ed Reid and Ray Lewis were just
- 39:30Speaker 5: so long, just the same way how quarterback is they
- 39:32Speaker 5: were the same one.
- 39:33Speaker 3: Like I'm not trying to be disrespectful to ray Lewis
- 39:36Speaker 3: when I say this, Like ray was a great player.
- 39:38Speaker 2: He was.
- 39:39Speaker 3: He was very smart, Like that was the thing that
- 39:41Speaker 3: made it. Like he makes some big hits every once
- 39:42Speaker 3: in a while, but he was always in the right spot.
- 39:44Speaker 3: I ed Reid, Ed Reid was a problem. Yeah, Like
- 39:50Speaker 3: Ed Reid was just a unicorn. So like when I
- 39:54Speaker 3: played against the Ravens in those days, like you had
- 39:57Speaker 3: to know where ray Lewis and Terrell Suggs and hilodinada
- 39:59Speaker 3: ya to know where they were.
- 40:02Speaker 2: But Ed you had to pray to Jesus before the play.
- 40:06Speaker 2: You had a lot more experience with the Ed. But
- 40:07Speaker 2: I mean I've heard the stories right, but just to
- 40:11Speaker 2: your point of like watch it. So it was our
- 40:13Speaker 2: third quarterbacks job every week to break down the TV
- 40:16Speaker 2: copy and like a list of all the all the
- 40:19Speaker 2: words that we used that were caught on on audio.
- 40:23Speaker 2: So we would we would go through those just like yea,
- 40:25Speaker 2: we would go through all the things. This is what
- 40:26Speaker 2: we said, that's what we're going to change, blah blah blah.
- 40:28Speaker 2: But we always had a we always had like a
- 40:30Speaker 2: code word, either said in the huddle or it started
- 40:34Speaker 2: out by saying we would say cobra, so cobra was
- 40:38Speaker 2: a snake, snake in the grass. Snake and grass means
- 40:40Speaker 2: this is a lie, like this is this is a
- 40:42Speaker 2: fake call. So so you know, cobra rocket left, rocket
- 40:47Speaker 2: or whatever, rocket, laser, cobra, cobra, coba. Then it got
- 40:50Speaker 2: to the point where you know, different ones, different like
- 40:55Speaker 2: different different words were used to signify dummy. Then it
- 40:58Speaker 2: got to just like hand because we did. We would
- 41:03Speaker 2: do Aaron would come up to the line and he'd
- 41:05Speaker 2: do this like this is like a snakehead. So this
- 41:08Speaker 2: is a cover call and so you're you're at reed.
- 41:12Speaker 2: So Brian Urlacker was our ed Reid like that. Dude
- 41:15Speaker 2: was an absolute problem. Everyone knows him as a big guy,
- 41:18Speaker 2: hard nose dude. Like towards career, he wasn't the same
- 41:21Speaker 2: like physical dude he had been early in his career
- 41:24Speaker 2: but arguably better because he was the guy that was
- 41:29Speaker 2: knew every call. He studied the calls new you know,
- 41:32Speaker 2: we played him twice a year and it was an
- 41:34Speaker 2: absolute problem, and we always Chicago was a classic. We're
- 41:38Speaker 2: gonna play Tampa two. It's gonna be sometimes. We're gonna
- 41:41Speaker 2: play three, three, buzz whatever it. We're gonna play Tampa two.
- 41:44Speaker 2: We're gonna do it really freaking good, and we're gonna
- 41:48Speaker 2: be this classic. Bend, don't break, You're gonna get in
- 41:51Speaker 2: the red zone because you're gonna be able to run
- 41:52Speaker 2: the ball a little bit. I got Lance Briggs, got
- 41:55Speaker 2: Peanut Tillman, and then you have Brian Urlacker that plays
- 41:59Speaker 2: the one probably.
- 42:00Speaker 4: Had a safety from uill M that was very underrated.
- 42:03Speaker 4: Harris was his last name.
- 42:04Speaker 2: Yeah, I can't remember his name of it, but Erlocker
- 42:07Speaker 2: was probably arguably the best Tampa to Mike linebacker of
- 42:12Speaker 2: all time. And then, of course they weren't the originator.
- 42:15Speaker 2: I think it was defense.
- 42:16Speaker 3: I'd put Irlacker and Derek Brooks into that category. The
- 42:19Speaker 3: only ones in the conversation there. It's kind of like
- 42:21Speaker 3: the originate. Yeah, it right, but they were so good.
- 42:24Speaker 2: But then we'd have these we'd have these classic battles
- 42:26Speaker 2: Aaron out of one erlocker and they were just like
- 42:29Speaker 2: changing the play back and forth all within like the
- 42:31Speaker 2: nineteen seconds you're at the line of scrimmage, dummy calls,
- 42:34Speaker 2: blah blah blah blah blah, and they were just talking
- 42:36Speaker 2: trash to each other, you know. Sometimes Aaron would win
- 42:38Speaker 2: the mental battles. Sometimes Brian would. Now we beat him
- 42:41Speaker 2: every time, Like I'm just like at the end of
- 42:42Speaker 2: the game. But it was it was they were dudes, man.
- 42:46Speaker 3: Yeah, shout out to Chris Harris. We did have the
- 42:48Speaker 3: name right. He is now the passing game coordinator for
- 42:51Speaker 3: the New York Jets. So another coach on the field
- 42:54Speaker 3: there for that Bears.
- 42:55Speaker 2: They shouted out to someone in the I can't remember
- 42:57Speaker 2: who it was, uh said they pulled a thirteen of twenty,
- 43:00Speaker 2: Garrett n that'smyer card. Go ho all right, saying nuts,
- 43:04Speaker 2: that's a that's the number Jersey number. Matter, Oh.
- 43:09Speaker 3: Say any put that together. See that's why you're you know,
- 43:12Speaker 3: you're mister Riagi right now, I'm the card. You've been
- 43:14Speaker 3: doing that, you know what I mean.
- 43:16Speaker 4: I've only been in it for a month.
- 43:17Speaker 2: I've been I've been in that game longer than the
- 43:19Speaker 2: radio game.
- 43:20Speaker 5: Pure profession.
- 43:20Speaker 3: Yeah, you showed up more days on that than the
- 43:22Speaker 3: radio game. All right, close out hour number two. When
- 43:24Speaker 3: we come back on TV. Off the bench, go to
- 43:28Speaker 3: Central Plumbing dot Org. But not only in Central and

- 43:45Speaker 3: a new vanity right, or it can be I need
- 43:48Speaker 3: something completely brand new. Or if you've got a business
- 43:52Speaker 3: and you want, like say you have a building downtown,
- 43:55Speaker 3: You've got the entire seventh floor. You got a lot

- 44:00Speaker 3: too big for Central Plumbing. They can still come in

- 44:04Speaker 3: looking for. Central Plumbing dot Org.

- 44:54Speaker 2: This has been a good relief for everybody. I think
- 44:56Speaker 2: everybody wanted a break from all the baseball talk.
- 44:59Speaker 3: They wanted all cant we Uh it did get the
- 45:03Speaker 3: story time. But look, it's half the reason why we're here.
- 45:07Speaker 3: Another part of why we're here is to talk New
- 45:09Speaker 3: Orleans Saints. Nick Underhill New Orleans dot Football is going
- 45:13Speaker 3: to join n LESS in about five minutes from now.
- 45:15Speaker 3: Saints just had a camp. Saints got questions. Does Nick
- 45:20Speaker 3: have the answers?
- 45:21Speaker 2: Oh, yeah, all of them.
- 45:23Speaker 4: I was gonna tease him, be like, stick around.
- 45:25Speaker 2: I don't know, we'll see.
- 45:30Speaker 4: Uh, they did sign a new running back. We'll ask
- 45:32Speaker 4: him about that.
- 45:33Speaker 3: We'll ask him, you know, his initial thoughts in the
- 45:35Speaker 3: quarterback battle. A lot of New Orleans Saints talk coming
- 45:39Speaker 3: your way, and of course This is basically the official
- 45:42Speaker 3: pregame show for LSU UCLA. So we'll continue to get

- 45:59Speaker 3: I know, because they stay ready so they don't have
- 46:02Speaker 3: to Z get ready. You're really gonna work on this timing.
- 46:08Speaker 4: Just a little bit longer.
- 46:09Speaker 2: I thought you were asking me.
- 46:10Speaker 4: I was, but I wanted you like once I finished.
- 46:13Speaker 2: These guys are legit.
- 46:15Speaker 3: Kat z blines dot com is the website interior outdoor living.
- 46:20Speaker 3: They can truly do it all the best part, all right,
- 46:24Speaker 3: So you have them out to your home and you
- 46:27Speaker 3: kind of tell them, hey, here's what we're dealing with,
- 46:29Speaker 3: here's where we want some shade. Like I actually have
- 46:30Speaker 3: to call Brandon because like our front door, it's a
- 46:34Speaker 3: situation where we're trying to maybe you know, get something
- 46:37Speaker 3: that has a little bit more privacy. Well, I don't
- 46:39Speaker 3: really know what to get there, you know, kind of
- 46:41Speaker 3: certain sized doors. I can't go to the store and
- 46:44Speaker 3: buy that. I certainly can't insult myself. But Brandon and
- 46:46Speaker 3: the team he's gonna come out and be like, Oh,
- 46:47Speaker 3: you need this. It's gonna be installed in a week.
- 46:50Speaker 2: Yeah, give them a call. I live in kind of
