- 0:00Speaker 1: This mouth has flown off Seattle.
- 0:03Speaker 2: Welcome to Seattle Kraken Hockey on the Global Credit Union
- 0:07Speaker 2: Krakenn Audio Network, brought to you by Coor's Life, Your
- 0:11Speaker 2: Western Washington, Toyota Dealers, Virginia, Mason, Franciscan Hell, Muckleshoot Casino Resort,
- 0:17Speaker 2: and by Luna and Symetra.
- 0:20Speaker 3: After almost a month away, the Kraken have returned home
- 0:24Speaker 3: to play, kicking off a six game homestand tonight against
- 0:28Speaker 3: Vancouver under our roof. Seattle was unable to gain their
- 0:33Speaker 3: footing in their first two games out of the break
- 0:35Speaker 3: against Dallas and Saint Louis, falling behind early in both contests,
- 0:39Speaker 3: losing four to one decision to Dallas and a five
- 0:42Speaker 3: to one loss the next night against the Blues. Tonight
- 0:46Speaker 3: in the latest edition of the I five, will read
- 0:49Speaker 3: the Kraken Welcome in Vancouver, who looks to get back
- 0:52Speaker 3: in the win column after their Olympic break against a
- 0:55Speaker 3: canup team with just two wins in their last twenty
- 0:58Speaker 3: games and have lost four of their last five against Seattle.
- 1:03Speaker 3: Good evening, ladies and gentlemen, Well, I'm come back. Inside
- 1:06Speaker 3: of Climate Plaigarina alongside Al Koniski.
- 1:09Speaker 4: I am Evert fince Youth.
- 1:10Speaker 3: This is Seattle Kraging Hockey on the Global Credit Union
- 1:13Speaker 3: Cracking Audio Network. You are listening to the pregame show
- 1:16Speaker 3: served up by Frost Grove Course Light Choose Chill. A
- 1:19Speaker 3: five to one loss in the Saint Louis al a
- 1:22Speaker 3: couple of nights ago, in a game in which head
- 1:24Speaker 3: coach Lane Lambert was not happy with the execution, with
- 1:27Speaker 3: the effort, with the compete level. Seattle outscored nine to
- 1:31Speaker 3: two in their first two games out of the break,
- 1:34Speaker 3: not how they wanted to get These last twenty six
- 1:37Speaker 3: games of the season started off properly.
- 1:39Speaker 4: No, and I think that you know, it all comes
- 1:41Speaker 4: back to you. Starts for this team. The game in Dallas,
- 1:44Speaker 4: I think Lane Lambert was okay with the first ten minutes,
- 1:47Speaker 4: but overall the first period not great. A little bit
- 1:50Speaker 4: better in Saint Louis, coming on one to one after
- 1:52Speaker 4: the first period, power play still goes oh for three
- 1:54Speaker 4: on the ninth. They're zero for seven out of the break.
- 1:56Speaker 4: Right now, they've got to get things going, get things
- 1:59Speaker 4: fired up little bit here and it starts here at
- 2:01Speaker 4: Stan at home.
- 2:01Speaker 3: And one thing Lane would like to see from this
- 2:03Speaker 3: team more is that shot first mentality. He felt Seattle
- 2:07Speaker 3: was a little bit too picky in their sock selection
- 2:10Speaker 3: these first two games back.
- 2:11Speaker 4: Yeah, nineteen shots on goal in the Dallas game twenty
- 2:13Speaker 4: four in Saint Louis probably a little lower than you
- 2:16Speaker 4: want to. You know, this time of year, you should
- 2:17Speaker 4: be pushing thirty shots on goal every game. Certainly, if
- 2:20Speaker 4: you're going to be a playoff team, you've got to
- 2:22Speaker 4: get more pucks than net. And I thought that the
- 2:25Speaker 4: effort was a little stronger in Saint Louis to get
- 2:27Speaker 4: pucks two net. But certainly in the first period they're
- 2:29Speaker 4: putting shots on net that we didn't see as much
- 2:31Speaker 4: in Dallas. I think that's got to continue to rise
- 2:34Speaker 4: once again here tonight.
- 2:35Speaker 3: On the other side of the red line. This is
- 2:37Speaker 3: a Vancouver Canuts team that I think had a lot
- 2:40Speaker 3: of expectations going into this season, but it's been an
- 2:43Speaker 3: uphill climb seemingly since day one for them two fourteen
- 2:47Speaker 3: and four. In their last twenty games, they've allowed or
- 2:50Speaker 3: they've scored rather two goals in each of their last
- 2:53Speaker 3: six games, and they've allowed four or more thirteen times
- 2:57Speaker 3: in those last twenty games simply. But the Nuts right
- 3:00Speaker 3: now are not at their best and for Seattle, this
- 3:03Speaker 3: is one of those games. And if you want to
- 3:04Speaker 3: get back into the playoff race, you need to win
- 3:07Speaker 3: this game.
- 3:07Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 3:08Speaker 4: The crackingt have hearned of points against this Connuck team
- 3:10Speaker 4: in the last seven they've played, and like you said,
- 3:12Speaker 4: the last twenty games have not gone well for them.
- 3:15Speaker 4: This team is right for be and beat. This team
- 3:17Speaker 4: is right for having a makeup game if you will,
- 3:19Speaker 4: over the last two games for the Kraken. But you've
- 3:22Speaker 4: got a fire and all cylinders, because if you don't,
- 3:24Speaker 4: they'll sneak two points out of.
- 3:25Speaker 3: Here to Cracking currently three points back of Utah and
- 3:28Speaker 3: the wild card race now three points as well backup Edmonton,
- 3:32Speaker 3: four back of Anaheim, and seven back of the Vegas
- 3:35Speaker 3: Golden Knights for the top three spots in the Pacific Division.

- 7:25Speaker 5: this one still holding wildcard spot number two in the
- 7:28Speaker 5: West at twenty seven to twenty two and nine point
- 7:30Speaker 5: total at sixty three, opening a six game homestand facing Vancouver,
- 7:35Speaker 5: the Canucks right now well out of the playoff picture,
- 7:37Speaker 5: worst record in the NHL at eighteen thirty three and
- 7:40Speaker 5: seven point total at forty three. In the Kraken trying
- 7:44Speaker 5: to grab their second win in three tries against Vancouver.
- 7:48Speaker 5: They'll face them four times here for this season. Well
- 7:51Speaker 5: tonight it's a big game, maybe biggest game of the
- 7:55Speaker 5: season so far. So the question bears how can the
- 7:58Speaker 5: Kraken answer the bell. They come off a five to
- 8:01Speaker 5: one loss to Saint Louis on Thursday, not exactly going
- 8:05Speaker 5: to plan. The only Kraken goal Capocaco as he came
- 8:08Speaker 5: back from the Olympics, the Blues getting a hat trick
- 8:10Speaker 5: from Dylon Halloway in the big turning point, Saint Louis
- 8:13Speaker 5: scoring twice in twenty three seconds back in period two,
- 8:17Speaker 5: and the loss essentially magnified because the Kraken faced a
- 8:20Speaker 5: Blues team that entered fourteen games out of the playoff picture,
- 8:23Speaker 5: plus had no Romber Thomas as well out their disposal,
- 8:27Speaker 5: So the cracking trying to make a sharp you turn
- 8:29Speaker 5: here for the first two games out of the break,
- 8:31Speaker 5: where they have been outscored nine to two power play
- 8:33Speaker 5: also going over their last seven, plus they're also searching
- 8:37Speaker 5: for their first lead out of this entire break. Plus
- 8:40Speaker 5: also the fact that they've been trailing here for all
- 8:42Speaker 5: but eight minutes and forty seconds here of these two
- 8:45Speaker 5: games right now paints a pretty desperate picture so far
- 8:49Speaker 5: with the semantics here of this playoff race, as brandon
- 8:52Speaker 5: Montor after that game, called the effort essentially sleepy quote
- 8:56Speaker 5: unquote that ship's focus on to this evening and is
- 8:59Speaker 5: pretty appairent here for Vince Don about how big this
- 9:02Speaker 5: evenings game is.
- 9:03Speaker 11: I think everyone it's big tonight. It's been two pretty
- 9:06Speaker 11: bad games and two pretty important games that we haven't
- 9:10Speaker 11: been able to find any points. And the way the
- 9:12Speaker 11: standings are right now, we can't be getting down on
- 9:16Speaker 11: ourselves or letting to slide any longer. So I think
- 9:18Speaker 11: just for everyone, it's it's an important game, and I
- 9:22Speaker 11: think everyone's looking forward to being back at home now,
- 9:25Speaker 11: and I think there's just no really excuse. Now we've
- 9:28Speaker 11: had a day of rest and everyone's kind of got
- 9:31Speaker 11: to decompressed and forget about those two games, and now
- 9:35Speaker 11: it's just all about putting all things on the table
- 9:37Speaker 11: and giving it all.
- 9:38Speaker 5: We got tonight the Krack and entering today two points
- 9:41Speaker 5: ahead of the cut line, and that's a status here
- 9:44Speaker 5: of this point of the season. So captain Jordan Neberly said,
- 9:46Speaker 5: it's made him do something pretty important.
- 9:49Speaker 12: Yeah, I've been scored to watch for a while. It's
- 9:51Speaker 12: just a habit, but yeah, these are exciting times. I
- 9:56Speaker 12: think we put ourselves in the mix. I think you know,
- 9:59Speaker 12: those last TI games were big games and we lost him.
- 10:02Speaker 12: You look, you just you drop right down only two
- 10:04Speaker 12: points in now, So I mean every game is imperative
- 10:07Speaker 12: and you can't help but watching, you know, be invested
- 10:10Speaker 12: in it.
- 10:11Speaker 5: So certainly it means a big start with the Kraken
- 10:13Speaker 5: need to open up a six game homestand they have
- 10:15Speaker 5: three games now before next Friday's trade deadline at noon.
- 10:19Speaker 5: The Canucks, Hurricanes and Blues right now looming ahead, So
- 10:23Speaker 5: the Kraken aiming to make some hay here on home ice,
- 10:26Speaker 5: where they stand nineteen to five and five against non
- 10:29Speaker 5: playoff teams, that is the fourth best mark in the
- 10:32Speaker 5: NHL overall, but at home fourteen to nine and five,
- 10:35Speaker 5: already six wins shy of Tian the franchise record at
- 10:38Speaker 5: home for one season. Plus also the fact that they
- 10:40Speaker 5: can score first at home could be a big help.
- 10:43Speaker 5: They come into this game fourteen straight games with a
- 10:46Speaker 5: point at home when scoring first, and they're gonna have
- 10:49Speaker 5: Joey to Core backing them up right now and then
- 10:50Speaker 5: here for this evening. Even with the loss of Dallas
- 10:53Speaker 5: back on Wednesday, he has four and one last five games.
- 10:56Speaker 5: Three two and two is his record in a game
- 11:00Speaker 5: against the Canucks, and this will be his third start
- 11:02Speaker 5: in three games against Vancouver this season, owning a one
- 11:06Speaker 5: to zero and one had to head record. Krack and
- 11:09Speaker 5: story lines first up begin him a first line impact
- 11:11Speaker 5: that Kraken could certainly use some of it here for
- 11:13Speaker 5: this evening. Jared McCann comes in no goals last four games,
- 11:17Speaker 5: Matty Veneer's no goals last five games. Jordan Eberley no
- 11:21Speaker 5: goals in the last three games. So for this evening,
- 11:24Speaker 5: can they end the dry spell that's trio combined lifetime
- 11:27Speaker 5: against the Canucks eighty one points in ninety four games.
- 11:31Speaker 5: That line will be won to watch. Secondly, the lineup shuffle,
- 11:36Speaker 5: especially on the back end, Josh Vahura is out, Kale
- 11:39Speaker 5: Floury is back in, and that will be Florrie's first
- 11:41Speaker 5: game here since January fifteenth at Boston, where he played
- 11:45Speaker 5: some tremendous hockey in a run where essentially Brandon Montor
- 11:48Speaker 5: was out of the lineup heres, So it will be
- 11:50Speaker 5: Florrie back with Riker Evans on defense here for this evening,
- 11:54Speaker 5: And finally a milestone game for Vince Done. Tonight is
- 11:57Speaker 5: game number six hundred of any career and against the Canucks,
- 12:01Speaker 5: owning some pretty sharp numbers eighteen points in twenty four games,
- 12:05Speaker 5: plus also owning seven points overall in the last five
- 12:09Speaker 5: had to head matchups backyard, it's a more crack and
- 12:12Speaker 5: reaction and leadership certainly comes in different forms. So we
- 12:16Speaker 5: asked captain Jordan Eberley about the message here for this evening,
- 12:18Speaker 5: where he said, the first period means a lot at
- 12:22Speaker 5: this point of the season.
- 12:23Speaker 12: Just getting our energy back, getting our feelback. You know,
- 12:26Speaker 12: I think you know you're gonna have situations where you
- 12:30Speaker 12: go through first year. This year especially, we've had some
- 12:32Speaker 12: really big highs and some really big lows we've gone through.
- 12:34Speaker 12: We've been pretty streaky, so it's about nipping in the
- 12:37Speaker 12: butt now. I mean, we've got a great opportunity tonight.
- 12:39Speaker 12: I think that the way that we were playing the
- 12:41Speaker 12: last ten to fifteen games before the year, specifically last five,
- 12:46Speaker 12: get back to that metel. That's the recipe, that's what
- 12:48Speaker 12: we've done. Everyone knows how to do it. This is
- 12:50Speaker 12: about getting back to that.
- 12:51Speaker 5: And as far as Bence Doun's milestone ahead with game
- 12:54Speaker 5: numbers six hundred, he's reminded about how much growth he's
- 12:58Speaker 5: taken here in the NHL.
- 13:00Speaker 11: Well, I think overall, you grow more as a person,
- 13:02Speaker 11: and that's what you usually reflect on hitting these milestones
- 13:06Speaker 11: is the accomplishments you've made and the people that you've
- 13:09Speaker 11: met and the relationships and the people you've got to
- 13:13Speaker 11: work with and things like that. So that's probably the
- 13:16Speaker 11: biggest thing that I look back on, is all the
- 13:19Speaker 11: amazing people you've shared every single game with. So for me,
- 13:22Speaker 11: it's just another milestone, but also sort of an accomplishment.
- 13:27Speaker 11: I guess it's whenever you get to play a game,
- 13:30Speaker 11: it's a blessing and it's the best thing ever to
- 13:32Speaker 11: be out there with these guys and to be battling
- 13:35Speaker 11: and to be doing what you love.
- 13:37Speaker 5: Certainly the telltale sign when you could last that long
- 13:40Speaker 5: in the NHL. Well, come back in a bit and
- 13:42Speaker 5: take a look at the Canucks. After this, you're listening
- 13:45Speaker 5: to the Global Credit Union and crack an audio network.

- 16:02Speaker 5: That's brought to you by the Evergreen Council on Problem Gambling,

- 16:29Speaker 5: Betton with you back for the cors Light landing in
- 16:31Speaker 5: section twenty and time now for a look at the Canucks,
- 16:34Speaker 5: where the ultimate question of the week is not where
- 16:37Speaker 5: they finish maybe in the standings end of the season,
- 16:40Speaker 5: but who's going to be on this roster in about
- 16:43Speaker 5: a week. They come in right now, worst record in
- 16:46Speaker 5: the NHL, nearly anyone except for Philip Paronic, who has
- 16:49Speaker 5: been reportedly named in the trade market. So the big
- 16:52Speaker 5: questions from Elias Petterson to Brockbesser to Evander Kaine and
- 16:56Speaker 5: even Tyler Myers maybe out tonight due to roster management,
- 17:00Speaker 5: where will they be very very soon? And all this
- 17:03Speaker 5: because their season has taking a nosedive of historic measures,
- 17:08Speaker 5: just two wins last twenty games, fourth worst stretch in
- 17:11Speaker 5: franchise history, that matching a two fourteen and four run
- 17:16Speaker 5: back in nineteen seventy nine. First game out of the
- 17:19Speaker 5: break for them, they lost three two in overtime to Winnipeg.
- 17:23Speaker 5: Nikita Tolo Peelo had twenty five saves in that one.
- 17:25Speaker 5: He won't play Kevin Lankin and instead starts this evening.
- 17:29Speaker 5: Canucks head coach Adam Food said this game for him
- 17:32Speaker 5: is about matching the energy the Kraken want to bring.
- 17:35Speaker 3: Well.
- 17:36Speaker 16: We want to play with pace and worry about our
- 17:37Speaker 16: game though.
- 17:38Speaker 4: You know they're going to be going.
- 17:39Speaker 16: Because I think they've had a little bit of a
- 17:40Speaker 16: slow start, so but we want to make sure that
- 17:43Speaker 16: we're playing with pace, we're getting pucks deep, and we're
- 17:46Speaker 16: a good when we're four checking in below the tops
- 17:48Speaker 16: of the circles. So just we want to continue to
- 17:50Speaker 16: grow on that and play faster hockey.
- 17:54Speaker 5: The Kraken will be facing a Canucks team that is
- 17:56Speaker 5: getting healthier right now. They all got Ze Buoyam on
- 17:59Speaker 5: the back end, center, Marco Rossi, Ford Brockbester and Neils
- 18:03Speaker 5: Hoglander all back here from the break. All we're missing
- 18:06Speaker 5: four games or longer due to injuries. Connuckt story lines
- 18:11Speaker 5: first up again with handling Connor Garland, and he's been
- 18:13Speaker 5: a handful in the said to head series, owning fourteen
- 18:16Speaker 5: points last sixteen games against the Kraken, but the numbers
- 18:20Speaker 5: have cool to bit for him, no points last three
- 18:22Speaker 5: games head to head. And secondly, Canuck special teams two
- 18:26Speaker 5: of five in the power play against the Kraken, and
- 18:28Speaker 5: they can also be a shorthanded threat second in the
- 18:31Speaker 5: NHL with seven short handed goals, but they're penalty kill
- 18:34Speaker 5: though last right now in the NHL. Well come back
- 18:38Speaker 5: in a bit after this sever it. Now have your

- 20:46Speaker 10: You're listening Seattle Crack and Hockey on the Crack and
- 20:48Speaker 10: Audio Network.
- 20:50Speaker 3: Back inside of Climate Pledge Arena. Alcaniski Ever fits you
- 20:53Speaker 3: alongside Cracking back home to begin a six game homestand tonight,
- 20:58Speaker 3: the vand Group of cannucts. The opponent for Seattle Kraken
- 21:02Speaker 3: out shot nine to two in their first two games
- 21:05Speaker 3: out of the break, trying to right the ship and
- 21:08Speaker 3: stay in a wild guard spot at the end of tonight.
- 21:11Speaker 3: How how can they get that done? Well?
- 21:13Speaker 4: First of all, you gotta win your puck battles. This
- 21:15Speaker 4: isn't a figure skiing recital. It's trench warfare. Every loose
- 21:19Speaker 4: puck is a fifty to fifty situation, and the cracking
- 21:21Speaker 4: to treat it like it's the last seat in musical chairs.
- 21:24Speaker 4: First to the puck, hardest on the puck, and meanest
- 21:27Speaker 4: on the puck home ice means you dictate the terms,
- 21:30Speaker 4: finish checks, lean on bodies, and frustrate the other team
- 21:34Speaker 4: enough to not only gain puck control but draw some
- 21:36Speaker 4: penalties too. Secondly, powerplay success been oh to seven so
- 21:40Speaker 4: far out of the break. The power play can't be
- 21:43Speaker 4: a passing clinic at the Gretzky Hockey Camp. It needs
- 21:45Speaker 4: to be a crime scene. Move it, shoot it, retrieve it,
- 21:49Speaker 4: shoot it again. Stop dusting the puck off like it's
- 21:51Speaker 4: a faberge egg, and start hammering it like you're driving
- 21:54Speaker 4: fence posts in January and the frozen tundra. When you
- 21:57Speaker 4: get a man advantage at home, that's where you bear teams,
- 22:01Speaker 4: not let them build momentum with successful, successful kills. And
- 22:05Speaker 4: then third, get out of the D zone faster. The
- 22:08Speaker 4: D zone isn't an airbnb. Stop extending your state one
- 22:11Speaker 4: and done, clears tape, the tape exits and North South hockey.
- 22:15Speaker 4: The longer you linger back there, the more it smells
- 22:18Speaker 4: like trouble. Quick outs turn into quick strikes. Quick strikes
- 22:21Speaker 4: turn into horn blowing, fan cheering chaos here at Climate
- 22:24Speaker 4: Pledger Arena. So when some win your puck battles like
- 22:28Speaker 4: you've got something to prove, cash in on the power,
- 22:30Speaker 4: play like you're charging interest, and get out of your
- 22:32Speaker 4: own end like it's on fire. Do those three things
- 22:35Speaker 4: and suddenly that string some wins together talk turns into
- 22:38Speaker 4: a heater six at home. That's not a schedule, that's
- 22:41Speaker 4: an opportunity to make some noise and rattle some cages
- 22:44Speaker 4: here in the standings.
- 22:46Speaker 3: The imagery was on points today and that was fantastic.
- 22:49Speaker 3: Looking at the standings right now, Kraken didn't get a
- 22:52Speaker 3: whole lot of favors in the standings today. Earlier the
- 22:56Speaker 3: Edmonds and Oilers in the San Jose Sharks they were playing.
- 23:00Speaker 3: Seattle needed a win there from Edmonton or from San Jos. Rather,
- 23:04Speaker 3: they didn't get one. So Kraken right now currently two
- 23:07Speaker 3: points up on the National Petitors for the second and
- 23:11Speaker 3: final wildcard. There are three points back of mutes Off
- 23:14Speaker 3: now three points back of Edmonton for a third in
- 23:16Speaker 3: the division. They're still in a playoff spot. But these
- 23:19Speaker 3: games have to be a paramount. And when you look
- 23:21Speaker 3: at this home stand coming up six games for Seattle,
- 23:24Speaker 3: you'd have to imagine the low bars got to.
- 23:26Speaker 4: Be eight points, if not not absolutely. And you know what,
- 23:29Speaker 4: it's sometimes difficult playing against teams that are struggling, and
- 23:33Speaker 4: let's be honest, Vancouver is struggling right now. That does
- 23:36Speaker 4: not mean it's going to be an easy game. The
- 23:38Speaker 4: best teams they ever played on often played the worst
- 23:41Speaker 4: team in the league and it was closed and sometimes
- 23:43Speaker 4: we lost because you just don't take them the same way. Obviously,
- 23:46Speaker 4: you've got leadership in the locker room, you've got coaching stuff.
- 23:49Speaker 4: These guys are professionals. That's not supposed to happen here tonight.
- 23:52Speaker 4: But if they approach the game with the way they
- 23:56Speaker 4: played coming into the break. This will be an easy game,
- 23:58Speaker 4: easy win tonight.
- 23:59Speaker 3: Ben It's done reaching his second milestone of the season tonight,
- 24:03Speaker 3: game number six hundred. He scored his three hundredth NHL
- 24:07Speaker 3: point back in December against the Red Wings. But for
- 24:09Speaker 3: Vince Dunn, he's got a Stanley Cup under his belt
- 24:12Speaker 3: here in Seattle. He's counted on to be an offensive
- 24:14Speaker 3: force from the blue line. We've seen that physicality and
- 24:18Speaker 3: that defensive acumen that he brings as well. When you
- 24:22Speaker 3: look at the player that Vince Done is and what
- 24:24Speaker 3: he brings to this team, it really is a very.
- 24:28Speaker 4: Vital role for the cracking. Yeah, he's a quarterback on
- 24:31Speaker 4: the power play as well. He's got nineteen points this
- 24:33Speaker 4: season and he could become the first kracking defenseman to
- 24:36Speaker 4: ever win that category, lead that category. So he's critical
- 24:39Speaker 4: to the success and the power play. Not saying that
- 24:42Speaker 4: he's the reason why they haven't had success come out
- 24:44Speaker 4: of the break, but it starts with twenty nine on
- 24:46Speaker 4: the point. When he's hammering the puck, when he's feeding
- 24:48Speaker 4: the puck to Jared mccannon, the wheelhouse for one timers,
- 24:51Speaker 4: that's when this power play has success and you know,
- 24:54Speaker 4: Vince Dunn is a big part of that.
- 24:55Speaker 3: Real quick before we head down to Mike Benson ty Krcier.
- 24:58Speaker 3: He picked up on favers by the kne York Rangers
- 25:00Speaker 3: earlier yesterday. I believe he played in this first game
- 25:04Speaker 3: here today for the Rangers. But that opens up an
- 25:06Speaker 3: opportunity for other players.
- 25:07Speaker 4: But you're gonna miss a.
- 25:08Speaker 3: Lot of the physicality that he can bring. But it's
- 25:11Speaker 3: getting to that crunch time partner trade deadline coming up
- 25:13Speaker 3: here on the sixth of March. I don't expect that
- 25:17Speaker 3: to be the only move for the crack, But what
- 25:19Speaker 3: opportunity does that open up for maybe a Jacob Alanson,
- 25:22Speaker 3: say on the wing of that four foot well.
- 25:24Speaker 4: I mean, at the end of the day, it's a
- 25:25Speaker 4: business of numbers, and you've got to know that if
- 25:27Speaker 4: you're Jacob Monson or anybody that's trying to stay on
- 25:30Speaker 4: the lineup and so you see a guy moved out,
- 25:32Speaker 4: you see an opportunity. But what's important for a guy
- 25:35Speaker 4: like Jacob Monson is he thinks or he doesn't think
- 25:37Speaker 4: he needs to change it. He doesn't change the way
- 25:40Speaker 4: he's been playing. I want to see the physicality. I
- 25:43Speaker 4: want to see the offense start to come out even more.
- 25:46Speaker 4: I want to see a guy that says, Okay, they've
- 25:48Speaker 4: moved to cart out. I'm gonna take that spot. I'm
- 25:51Speaker 4: gonna start scoring more. I'm gonna start contributing off if
- 25:53Speaker 4: I'm gonna continue to play physical, I'm gonna stand up
- 25:56Speaker 4: for my team. You do that, you'll earn a permanent
- 25:58Speaker 4: spot on this team. You know who's got a permanent's bottle.

- 28:28Speaker 5: Let's get some more thoughts through a head coach Lane
- 28:30Speaker 5: Lambert standing by with Everett.
- 28:32Speaker 3: Thanks Mike Lane. First two games out of the break,
- 28:34Speaker 3: I know, not the results that you wanted. Take us
- 28:37Speaker 3: back to those six periods in Dallas and Saint Louis
- 28:39Speaker 3: and just you your thoughts on the team's effort and performance.
- 28:43Speaker 19: Yeah, I didn't like it. You know, it's not even
- 28:45Speaker 19: so much the results, as I've talked over the you know,
- 28:50Speaker 19: maybe even over the situation in December when we weren't
- 28:54Speaker 19: doing very well. I liked our game, we just weren't winning.
- 28:56Speaker 19: But this wasn't even close for me. You know, too
- 29:00Speaker 19: many lost battles, too many loss, buck battles, not quick
- 29:03Speaker 19: enough to close in the D zone. Everything from our
- 29:06Speaker 19: hockey team stems off of our D zone and our
- 29:09Speaker 19: defensive play, and so when we don't have that in check,
- 29:12Speaker 19: then it's pretty hard to create any offense.
- 29:15Speaker 3: It's hard to maybe blame that on the break because
- 29:17Speaker 3: Dallas and Saint Louis also had the long break, they
- 29:19Speaker 3: had the practice time as well. What can you attribute
- 29:23Speaker 3: those struggles to these first two games back?
- 29:26Speaker 19: Well, you know, I guess for me it you know, again,
- 29:31Speaker 19: like I said, it did it did have You know,
- 29:35Speaker 19: the other teams did have the same break as we did.
- 29:39Speaker 19: But if you're looking at it from just internally and
- 29:42Speaker 19: in our position, in our perspective, the break didn't do
- 29:45Speaker 19: us any favors. We were playing real well going into
- 29:48Speaker 19: the break and now we haven't played welcome around of
- 29:50Speaker 19: the break. But you know that's just an excuse. We've
- 29:53Speaker 19: got to be better, and you know these last two
- 29:55Speaker 19: games are these last two games a little bit of
- 29:57Speaker 19: adversity for us, and hopefully we can learn from it
