Today let's add two more weather words. Luna: Oh nice, I love weather talk. What are we learning? Lucas: Wind and cloudy. In Amharic, wind is ነፋስ. Luna: ነፋስ. Lucas: Good. ነፋስ means wind. Let's try it in a sentence: ዛሬ ነፋስ ነው. That means 'today is windy'. Luna: ዛሬ ነፋስ ነው. Lucas: Perfect. Now cloudy is ደመናማ. Luna: ደመናማ. That one's a mouthful. Lucas: You got it though. And the sentence: ዛሬ ደመናማ ነው. 'Today is cloudy'. Luna: ዛሬ ደመናማ ነው. Lucas: Exactly. So let's imagine a scene. You look outside and see the trees moving. Luna: I'd say ዛሬ ነፋስ ነው. Lucas: Right. I'll ask you about the weather. Luna: Okay, go ahead. Lucas: ዛሬ ምን አይነት አየር ነው? That means 'what's the weather like today?' But for now, just answer with our new words. Luna: Let's say it's windy: ዛሬ ነፋስ ነው. Lucas: Perfect. And if it's cloudy? Luna: ዛሬ ደመናማ ነው. Lucas: Great. Let's say each phrase one more time slowly. Listeners, repeat after Luna. Luna: ነፋስ.
