- 0:00Speaker 1: From Hollywood to you. Thank you for listening to us.
- 0:03Speaker 2: Ryan Seacrest.
- 0:04Speaker 3: Seacrest!
- 0:04Speaker 1: On air, on air, on.
- 0:06Speaker 2: Air with Ryan Seacrest.
- 0:10Speaker 1: It's Kiss FM. Seacrest with you. Alright, so, sisters. Now
- 0:15Speaker 1: listen to this. This stuff just gets my phone into
- 0:18Speaker 1: my feed. Do you have a sister? Because they say
- 0:21Speaker 1: that the meaner sibling is a sister. Brothers and sisters,
- 0:24Speaker 1: a meaner sibling is a sister. Now, Sisney, you have... Well,
- 0:28Speaker 1: you have sisters. I have a sister and a brother.
- 0:30Speaker 1: So they think you're mean.
- 0:32Speaker 2: Well, why wouldn't I think that they might be mean?
- 0:34Speaker 1: Well, not they, but Jeanette thinks you're mean.
- 0:36Speaker 2: No. What if I would think that Jeanette's mean?
- 0:38Speaker 1: Okay, so you have one of each. Do you believe
- 0:40Speaker 1: that you can tell a difference in the sort of
- 0:43Speaker 1: tension between one or the other?
- 0:45Speaker 2: Now as adults, no. But as adults, we all get
- 0:48Speaker 2: along and it's great. But growing up as kids, my
- 0:50Speaker 2: brother was mean in the sense where he would hide
- 0:53Speaker 2: behind a wall to scare me and just do mean
- 0:55Speaker 2: things like that to me as a little kid. My
- 0:57Speaker 2: sister would yell at me and then smack me.
- 1:01Speaker 1: Well, that's meaner.
- 1:04Speaker 2: Like, she was driving me to dance or driving me somewhere,
- 1:06Speaker 2: and I was supposed to remind her the exit. She'd
- 1:08Speaker 2: be like, you forgot the exit!
- 1:10Speaker 1: And then she would smack me.
- 1:10Speaker 2: Is that a competitive thing?
- 1:11Speaker 1: Is that what it is?
- 1:12Speaker 2: No, it's like frustration.
- 1:14Speaker 4: Really?
- 1:14Speaker 1: Because, you know, a little game of peekaboo is just
- 1:16Speaker 1: a tease from a brother. But, like, getting up in
- 1:18Speaker 1: your face like that, literally getting up in your face
- 1:20Speaker 1: like that.
- 1:20Speaker 2: Oh, my brother would, like, love to scare me. He
- 1:23Speaker 2: would like to make me cry.
- 1:24Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:25Speaker 2: Were we not bullied by our siblings? I feel like
- 1:28Speaker 2: we were.
- 1:29Speaker 4: I think the oldest siblings are the meaner ones. Because
- 1:31Speaker 4: I too got picked on as the youngest. My siblings
- 1:33Speaker 4: would hold my hands and my feet down on the
- 1:35Speaker 4: couch and tickled me until I peed my pants.
- 1:38Speaker 1: I didn't want to come to work and hear that.
- 1:42Speaker 2: Similar situations. Pin down, they try to spit in my mouth,
- 1:44Speaker 2: all that stuff.
- 1:45Speaker 1: You're lucky to be here.
- 1:47Speaker 2: Where were our parents?
- 1:49Speaker 1: Clearly not paying attention and not caring. I mean, I
- 1:52Speaker 1: have a great relationship with my sister, so I didn't
- 1:55Speaker 1: realize how blessed I was by that.
- 1:57Speaker 4: I'm so grateful.
- 1:57Speaker 1: Maybe it's a California thing. I don't know. I don't know. Yeah,
- 2:03Speaker 1: in the state of Georgia, we didn't do that.
- 2:06Speaker 2: You guys grew up with manners.
- 2:07Speaker 1: They say the meaner sibling is the sister. Let me know.
- 2:11Speaker 1: 800-520-1027 at Kiss FM. Kiss FM. All right. Now, Tiffany
- 2:18Speaker 1: was talking about this, and I'm going to do it
- 2:19Speaker 1: later today because mine is right here.
- 2:22Speaker 2: Yes, that's right.
- 2:22Speaker 1: My old apartment is right down the street from where
- 2:24Speaker 1: we are here in Burbank. But it's something that actually,
- 2:28Speaker 1: when you mention it, I do it too. Is it
- 2:30Speaker 1: strange that we do it?
- 2:31Speaker 2: I don't know if it's strange. So I like to
- 2:34Speaker 2: sometimes occasionally drive by my old house.
- 2:36Speaker 4: Yes, me too.
- 2:38Speaker 1: It's weird because- And it.
- 2:39Speaker 2: Makes me sad. And I'm like, and I don't know
- 2:41Speaker 2: why I do it. Like, it's like self-sabotaging, but I'm like,
- 2:43Speaker 2: I'm going to do it.
- 2:44Speaker 1: I do it too. And I go slow by the
- 2:47Speaker 1: windows hoping they won't see me looking in at them,
- 2:50Speaker 1: but I'm hoping to see them. It's really weird.
- 2:51Speaker 2: And I want to see like what they change, if
- 2:53Speaker 2: they like change the front door, like whatever.
- 2:55Speaker 1: I'm possessive about it. Like my old house in Atlanta,
- 2:59Speaker 1: when I go back for Christmas, I drive by, they
- 3:01Speaker 1: painted the front door a different color.
- 3:02Speaker 4: But they still, they kept your constellations in your room.
- 3:04Speaker 1: Okay, you have to understand. Oh yeah, they did. So
- 3:06Speaker 1: when I was a kid growing up, I put constellation
- 3:10Speaker 1: stickers on my bedroom ceiling and they glow at night.
- 3:13Speaker 1: A lot of us did. Sisney and Tanya went to
- 3:16Speaker 1: my childhood home at one point on a trip to
- 3:18Speaker 1: Atlanta as adults recently and somehow got invited into my
- 3:22Speaker 1: bedroom as a child.
- 3:23Speaker 2: That's right. Well, we went to just see the house
- 3:25Speaker 2: almost like this, like do a drive by and just
- 3:26Speaker 2: like take a picture in front of it. And then
- 3:28Speaker 2: they saw us and then we had to explain ourselves
- 3:31Speaker 2: and they invited us in. Yeah, invited us.
- 3:34Speaker 1: It's really strange that you have seen the constellations of
- 3:37Speaker 1: when I was 15 years old on my ceiling.
- 3:39Speaker 2: I think it's sweet that we took it upon ourselves
- 3:41Speaker 2: to do this. It's strange they kept them up.
- 3:43Speaker 1: Well, I don't know. I mean, you can't get those
- 3:45Speaker 1: things down, apparently. That glue is tough. Why did you
- 3:48Speaker 1: drive by? What was happening? We were there.
- 3:50Speaker 2: We went to like your old high school and we
- 3:52Speaker 2: met a lot of your friends.
- 3:53Speaker 1: Why did you drive by your old house? I know
- 3:56Speaker 1: you went and did my whole life.
- 3:58Speaker 2: Because i just i don't know i got the urge
- 4:00Speaker 2: and sometimes the kids want to go by too and
- 4:02Speaker 2: then they get emotional i'm like we're not doing this
- 4:04Speaker 2: again every time we drive by it it's like not
- 4:06Speaker 2: doesn't make us feel good makes us feel sad that
- 4:08Speaker 2: we don't live there anymore.
- 4:09Speaker 1: Good news is to whoever is living at my apartment
- 4:12Speaker 1: over here on hollywood and verdugo i can't really see
- 4:15Speaker 1: in there because it's yeah it's on the third floor
- 4:17Speaker 1: i can't really see right.
- 4:18Speaker 4: Also just like like i don't know why it took
- 4:20Speaker 4: me so long to realize this but you have a
- 4:22Speaker 4: new bangle today.
- 4:24Speaker 1: I have a new bracelet today. How cute.
- 4:26Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 4:27Speaker 1: Thank you for listening to what we're talking about here.
- 4:29Speaker 4: Yeah, I was listening, but I was very distracted when
- 4:31Speaker 4: you pointed at your apartment.
- 4:32Speaker 2: It's very shiny. It's very shiny.
- 4:35Speaker 1: You know, I'm trying to go back in time. It's
- 4:37Speaker 1: Kiss FM. So I'm kind of hoping the show would
- 4:40Speaker 1: go fast to get to this. Sisany, I've been excited to,
- 4:43Speaker 1: I don't know why, because I didn't read the article,
- 4:46Speaker 1: but it had to do with something about dating and height.
- 4:49Speaker 1: And I'm obviously very comfortable at 5'8. With my height.
- 4:54Speaker 1: But what does it mean?
- 4:56Speaker 2: So Tinder is rolling out this new feature that's got
- 4:59Speaker 2: everyone talking and they're testing a height filter. So basically,
- 5:05Speaker 2: if you're a Tinder Platinum subscriber, that's about $ 40 a month,
- 5:08Speaker 2: you can now set a minimum and maximum height for
- 5:12Speaker 2: potential matches.
- 5:14Speaker 3: $ 40 a month?
- 5:15Speaker 2: If I was on the apps, I would totally pay
- 5:17Speaker 2: $ 40 a month to funnel out the exact height.
- 5:21Speaker 1: Would you put your height up there?
- 5:22Speaker 3: Well, no.
- 5:23Speaker 2: This is the height that you want for a potential match.
- 5:26Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 5:26Speaker 1: Okay.
- 5:27Speaker 2: Like your wish list. For me, I always wanted to
- 5:30Speaker 2: be with somebody that was six foot or taller.
- 5:32Speaker 1: Don't care.
- 5:33Speaker 2: That's just me.
- 5:35Speaker 1: I don't care about height.
- 5:35Speaker 2: But some people do care about height.
- 5:38Speaker 1: Okay, so keep going. I mean, I think people might
- 5:40Speaker 1: care about my height.
- 5:42Speaker 2: I don't care about height. Okay. Tinder says they're trying
- 5:45Speaker 2: this out to help people connect more intentionally, but not
- 5:49Speaker 2: everyone's buying it. Some folks are calling it superficial and discriminatory,
- 5:54Speaker 2: while others say, hey, other apps like Hinge already have this.
- 5:58Speaker 2: But Tinder's new CEO is trying to shake off the
- 6:01Speaker 2: app's hookup-heavy image and appeal more to Gen Z users
- 6:05Speaker 2: looking for meaningful connections. They don't want to be known
- 6:08Speaker 2: as the hookup app, which Tinder kind of has that
- 6:11Speaker 2: reputation for. That there's no meaningful relationships that come out
- 6:14Speaker 2: of Tinder. You go to Bumble, Hinge, other.
- 6:18Speaker 1: Apps for that.
- 6:19Speaker 2: But the height filter has sparked a lot of debate online.
- 6:21Speaker 2: And I think that it's just an interesting take. If
- 6:24Speaker 2: you know what you want, what's the point of... meeting somebody,
- 6:29Speaker 2: chatting with them, going out on a date, and then
- 6:31Speaker 2: when you get there, they're 5'6, and you're 5'8, and
- 6:34Speaker 2: you're like, I will never. Because sometimes you don't know.
- 6:38Speaker 2: I'm not saying me. But sometimes you don't know what's
- 6:41Speaker 2: best for you. Sometimes you know what you want.
- 6:45Speaker 1: How about we don't care about the height?
- 6:48Speaker 2: Some people care about the height.
- 6:51Speaker 1: I have been asked in the past, do I mind
- 6:55Speaker 1: that said person is taller than I am, and especially
- 6:59Speaker 1: in heels. And I say, no, it's great.
- 7:01Speaker 2: Well, you're different. But I have girlfriends that are, they'll
- 7:05Speaker 2: know when they're looking through profiles. They'll be like, oh
- 7:08Speaker 2: my gosh, he's sitting down in all his pictures. And
- 7:11Speaker 2: that's for a reason. You know, he's not comparing. It's
- 7:14Speaker 2: a picture with him and all his bros.
- 7:15Speaker 1: You guys are really.
- 7:17Speaker 5: Really true.
- 7:17Speaker 1: You can tell a lot by a man with his bros.
- 7:19Speaker 2: Thank you. Because if it's a picture with his bros
- 7:21Speaker 2: and he's sitting down or they're all sitting down, he
- 7:23Speaker 2: doesn't have any standing pictures with his bros, then you
- 7:26Speaker 2: can see that there's a height. I don't want to
- 7:30Speaker 2: say issue, but, you know. It's so true, though.
- 7:34Speaker 1: You see? Exactly.
- 7:38Speaker 2: All of our wedding pictures are probably his groomsmen. He's
- 7:40Speaker 2: like in the middle. He's the shortest.
- 7:42Speaker 4: And all his groomsmen are like towering over him.
- 7:45Speaker 1: And why is that so funny? Like you're so excited
- 7:49Speaker 1: to say it. And I find it not so funny.
- 7:53Speaker 2: He finds it funny too.
- 7:56Speaker 1: Oh, really? I think he's being nice to his wife.
- 8:00Speaker 1: Deep down inside, he cries at night when you're asleep
- 8:03Speaker 1: under your Harry Styles pillow.
- 8:09Speaker 2: Over it you should have did you incorporate the harry
- 8:11Speaker 2: styles pillow into the wedding.
- 8:15Speaker 1: Once i saw the naked uncle i couldn't get the
- 8:19Speaker 1: naked uncle story it was all i needed and also
- 8:21Speaker 1: yeah harry's i was told not to go like to
- 8:24Speaker 1: harry styles because i think that's the one guy that
- 8:26Speaker 1: he does not like to hear about oh it's good
- 8:30Speaker 1: let's kiss now have you heard this the three by
- 8:33Speaker 1: three by 12 idea the challenge here it has tens
- 8:38Speaker 1: of millions of views on Tik TOK. And some of
- 8:40Speaker 1: you are saying it's so good. It makes you happier
- 8:42Speaker 1: and healthier. It's called a three by three by 12 challenge.
- 8:45Speaker 1: Here's how it works. You do 3000 steps, one 30
- 8:49Speaker 1: or daily water goal and 30 grams of protein all
- 8:53Speaker 1: before noon.
- 8:55Speaker 2: I love that.
- 8:56Speaker 1: Goal being to jumpstart your energy, your mood and focus.
- 8:58Speaker 1: So steps, water, protein, All before noon, they say it's
- 9:03Speaker 1: a game changer.
- 9:03Speaker 2: The protein is so good. So hard.
- 9:05Speaker 4: 30 grams of protein before noon?
- 9:07Speaker 1: A shake.
- 9:08Speaker 3: Why?
- 9:08Speaker 1: We're up so early.
- 9:09Speaker 2: I feel like it'd be easier for us.
- 9:10Speaker 1: Have a chicken breast in the middle of the morning.
- 9:14Speaker 1: Chomp it up.
- 9:15Speaker 4: You eat eggs.
- 9:16Speaker 1: Yeah, you eat those sticky eggs.
- 9:18Speaker 2: I know, but 30 is a lot.
- 9:19Speaker 1: Ask ChatGPT. Today's quote. What you chase will run. What
- 9:24Speaker 1: you embody will arrive.
- 9:26Speaker 2: Oh, good one.
- 9:29Speaker 3: Why?
- 9:31Speaker 1: All right, 102 Sound, and it's Kiss FM. Let's hit
- 9:33Speaker 1: the headlines, Sissany. What do you have? Kiss FM headlines
- 9:36Speaker 1: with Sissany.
- 9:37Speaker 2: Well, LAUSD quietly imposed a district-wide ban on student use
- 9:41Speaker 2: of generative AI on school devices this year. That includes
- 9:45Speaker 2: Google Gemini and ChatGPT. The NBA is punishing the Clippers
- 9:50Speaker 2: with a $ 30 million fine and the loss of five
- 9:55Speaker 2: future first round picks for violating salary cap rules when
- 10:00Speaker 2: they signed Kawhi Leonard back in 2022. Some South L.A.
- 10:04Speaker 2: residents say they've been dealing with broken streetlights for more
- 10:08Speaker 2: than a year and a half, despite repeated calls to
- 10:11Speaker 2: the city. And Dua Lipa, Tame Impala, and BTS are
- 10:15Speaker 2: reportedly among the artists being considered to headline Coachella 2027.
- 10:18Speaker 2: 2.7 Kiss FM. Now, Ruby, you mentioned this, and I
- 10:24Speaker 2: can't get it out of my head now. She mentioned that,
- 10:27Speaker 2: and I never thought about it until I started thinking
- 10:29Speaker 2: about it.
- 10:29Speaker 1: Now I think about it all the time. That when
- 10:32Speaker 1: our coffee, like my coffee, you know, if you listen
- 10:34Speaker 1: to the show, you know how important coffee is. It's
- 10:36Speaker 1: like my, it's my longest term relationship. It's life.
- 10:40Speaker 3: It's life.
- 10:40Speaker 1: And I look forward to it in the morning. And
- 10:42Speaker 1: you were saying that like, if you microwave your coffee,
- 10:45Speaker 1: it could not be safe, Ruby.
- 10:46Speaker 2: Well, I was curious because my coffee got cold this morning.
- 10:50Speaker 2: So I was like, is it wrong to microwave it?
- 10:52Speaker 1: I mean, I do. You do.
- 10:54Speaker 2: So it's okay.
- 10:55Speaker 1: I don't know. I didn't think about it until I
- 10:57Speaker 1: started thinking about it. Why would it be bad? I
- 10:59Speaker 1: feel like it would like evaporate the goodness.
- 11:01Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 11:01Speaker 1: In my head, I'm like, oh, is it going to
- 11:03Speaker 1: get rid of like.
- 11:04Speaker 6: The freshness of the coffee?
- 11:07Speaker 3: All right.
- 11:07Speaker 1: So here's what I found out. Heat breaks the acids down,
- 11:11Speaker 1: which makes it taste more bitter. The micro destroys the
- 11:14Speaker 1: aromatic compound so the smell is gone, making it taste flat. Oh,
- 11:18Speaker 1: that's right. And it creates hot spots, which can cause
- 11:20Speaker 1: a burning aftertaste. So no, you pretty much ruined it. Wow.
- 11:24Speaker 1: I think this is unknown.
- 11:25Speaker 2: Just throw some ice in there and make it an
- 11:26Speaker 2: iced coffee.
- 11:27Speaker 1: Well, I do that once I start to get jittery.
- 11:30Speaker 1: Then I go to ice. Warm coffee makes you jittery.
- 11:34Speaker 1: The ice doesn't really. So yeah, I guess the caffeine
- 11:37Speaker 1: is stable, but I didn't know that. You need to
- 11:39Speaker 1: tell people. I didn't know they don't tell you that.
- 11:41Speaker 1: They don't. That's like one of those things. I think
- 11:42Speaker 1: I do certain things in life. They don't tell you
- 11:44Speaker 1: about that. You're on KISS.
- 11:46Speaker 5: 102.7.
- 11:46Speaker 1: It is KISS FM. Jordan in the back room. Now,
- 11:52Speaker 1: this is kind of brilliant. She wanted to not break up,
- 11:55Speaker 1: but break it off with a dude. So she's like,
- 11:57Speaker 1: how do I author the appropriate break it off text? Oh,
- 12:02Speaker 1: I know. I get another dude to write the break
- 12:04Speaker 1: off text, right?
- 12:05Speaker 2: Genius.
- 12:06Speaker 1: And so who gets the honor of doing that? Which guy?
- 12:08Speaker 2: He's like one of my best friends.
- 12:10Speaker 1: And what do you say? Like, here's the mission. What
- 12:13Speaker 1: do you say?
- 12:13Speaker 6: I said, I told this man a few times that
- 12:17Speaker 6: I'm not interested in And I was like, okay, from
- 12:20Speaker 6: a guy's perspective, what kind of message would you want
- 12:23Speaker 6: to receive if you were to be broken up with?
- 12:25Speaker 1: Like a good, you're trying to let him down nicely.
- 12:27Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 12:28Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 12:28Speaker 1: We don't want to receive any of them.
- 12:30Speaker 2: Well, it's got to happen.
- 12:31Speaker 1: Okay. So do you have the text? What did he
- 12:34Speaker 1: guide you to do?
- 12:35Speaker 3: Okay.
- 12:35Speaker 6: So I kind of made it into like how I
- 12:37Speaker 6: would say it to summarizing it.
- 12:39Speaker 1: So you took what he said and then you made
- 12:41Speaker 1: it your own.
- 12:41Speaker 3: Yeah. All right.
- 12:42Speaker 6: Okay, I'm truly sorry about this, but I've been thinking
- 12:46Speaker 6: and I don't think I'm quite in a space to
- 12:47Speaker 6: get to know anybody right now and think it would
- 12:49Speaker 6: be best if we cancel tonight because I'm not trying
- 12:52Speaker 6: to lead you on, period. I'm really sorry if that
- 12:54Speaker 6: caused an inconvenience.
- 12:57Speaker 2: And I hope it doesn't ruin your night.
- 13:09Speaker 6: I'm dealing with a lot right now, and I think
- 13:13Speaker 6: it would just be good for me to not continue this.
- 13:17Speaker 6: I'm not in the right headspace for any kind of relationship,
- 13:19Speaker 6: and I don't want to waste your time.
- 13:20Speaker 1: But I'm worried about you now. That sounds so concerning.
- 13:23Speaker 2: Are you really dealing with a lot?
- 13:26Speaker 1: Well, are you not really dealing with all that?
- 13:28Speaker 3: Are you?
- 13:29Speaker 6: At the time, I... I was like dealing with family stuff,
- 13:32Speaker 6: you know? So it kind of, he kind of understood
- 13:34Speaker 6: the lore a little bit. So that's kind of where
- 13:35Speaker 6: I was going with.
- 13:36Speaker 1: Are you an English major? All right. What's, what do
- 13:40Speaker 1: you say? What happened?
- 13:41Speaker 6: He said, I understand. I mean, I feel like we
- 13:45Speaker 6: know one another already, but it's cool.
- 13:47Speaker 3: He's great.
- 13:49Speaker 1: And you're out of it. And could I borrow that
- 13:51Speaker 1: guy to write outgoing texts?
- 13:54Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 13:55Speaker 1: The guy friend of yours could write outgoing texts or
- 13:57Speaker 1: that would not work. That doesn't work. Needs to be
- 14:00Speaker 1: for me. Outgoing texts to people I would meet.
- 14:02Speaker 4: If I got a text like that from you, I
- 14:03Speaker 4: would know it was not real. Oh yeah.
- 14:06Speaker 2: If there was punctuation.
- 14:08Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 14:08Speaker 1: By the way, punctuations are spelled correctly.
- 14:10Speaker 2: More than two sentences.
- 14:12Speaker 1: Not you.
- 14:12Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 14:13Speaker 3: All right.
- 14:13Speaker 1: Well, Jordan, job well done. I think that's actually brilliant.
- 14:17Speaker 1: Outsource the breakup text. Get some help on that thing, right?
- 14:20Speaker 1: It's time for the call on Ryan's Roses 102.7 at
- 14:25Speaker 1: Kiss FM. Haley is married. Her husband got an iMessage
- 14:29Speaker 1: from someone called Vegas Girl in his contacts. And it
- 14:33Speaker 1: was just a way to bachelor party. And that was
- 14:35Speaker 1: a few weeks ago. So she's worried about this. It
- 14:39Speaker 1: doesn't really make sense. Why would somebody from Vegas called
- 14:41Speaker 1: Vegas Girl be texting her husband? Did you ask him
- 14:43Speaker 1: about it, Haley? I did, yes. And he said what?
- 14:49Speaker 8: Okay, he said... She was just the bottle service girl.
- 14:53Speaker 8: Why does he.
- 14:54Speaker 1: Have her number? He shouldn't have her number.
- 14:57Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 14:58Speaker 8: And also, why is it still happening? Okay, I'm all
- 15:03Speaker 8: about hearing an explanation. I'm all about hearing what they
- 15:07Speaker 8: have to say and really listening to it. But I
- 15:12Speaker 8: understand you're there. Maybe it's a big club and they
- 15:15Speaker 8: have to text each other whatever they want to order.
- 15:19Speaker 8: But why is it still happening now that he's home?
- 15:21Speaker 1: Okay, we are going to call now. Be very quiet.
- 15:24Speaker 1: Just say, Ryan, you have my permission to call, and
- 15:26Speaker 1: then his name. Go ahead.
- 15:29Speaker 8: Okay, Ryan, you have permission to call.
- 15:33Speaker 1: We are going to do that right now. Be very quiet.
- 15:38Speaker 5: And here we go. Hello, this is Matt.
- 15:51Speaker 2: Hi, Matt. My name is Carmela. How are you doing
- 15:53Speaker 2: this morning?
- 15:54Speaker 1: I'm doing all right.
- 15:55Speaker 8: Great.
- 15:56Speaker 2: I'm calling from the fresh floor as we actually deliver
- 15:58Speaker 2: here locally and surrounding areas and offering a free promotion.
- 16:01Speaker 2: It's a dozen red roses that you can send to
- 16:03Speaker 2: anybody that you'd like today.
- 16:05Speaker 5: Oh, okay.
- 16:07Speaker 2: Yeah, they're absolutely free. I don't need any credit card
- 16:09Speaker 2: info from you or any billing info. It's not a subscription.
- 16:13Speaker 2: We just are hoping that you like our arrangements and
- 16:16Speaker 2: maybe one day you come back as a returning customer.
- 16:20Speaker 2: But these are free.
- 16:21Speaker 3: That's kind of weird.
- 16:22Speaker 2: No, it's a promotion that we do like once a month.
- 16:25Speaker 3: Okay. Got it.
- 16:26Speaker 5: Got it.
- 16:27Speaker 3: All right.
- 16:27Speaker 2: Anybody you want to send free flowers to?
- 16:30Speaker 3: Well, my wife, but I feel kind of weird because
- 16:34Speaker 3: it's not like I paid for these or even came
- 16:37Speaker 3: up with the idea. You know, it seems kind of
- 16:39Speaker 3: like an empty gesture.
- 16:41Speaker 2: Well, she would still appreciate flowers, right?
- 16:46Speaker 3: Definitely. I think she would definitely appreciate them.
- 16:48Speaker 2: What's her name?
- 16:50Speaker 3: Haley.
- 16:51Speaker 5: Okay.
- 16:51Speaker 2: And what do you want to put on the card?
- 16:56Speaker 3: Gosh, I didn't even come up with this idea. Maybe
- 16:59Speaker 3: just put like, I hope these brighten your day. Okay.
- 17:02Speaker 1: It's great. It's very sweet. Matt, your voice is being
- 17:06Speaker 1: broadcast on the radio. And my name is Ryan Seacrest
- 17:09Speaker 1: and you are a sweet man. How are you?
- 17:14Speaker 3: Hold on. What is this?
- 17:16Speaker 1: This is a problem actually, probably. So, uh, Haley, your
- 17:19Speaker 1: wife is on the line and she's asked us to
- 17:21Speaker 1: call you because she was telling us that you were
- 17:24Speaker 1: in Vegas for a bachelor party recently and you got
- 17:26Speaker 1: some texts from a Vegas girl in your phone and
- 17:30Speaker 1: she's wondering if there's something going on or like if
- 17:34Speaker 1: you're cheating on her.
- 17:35Speaker 3: Uh, no, not at all. I mean, and you know,
- 17:40Speaker 3: this is, uh, I don't even know why you're involved
- 17:44Speaker 3: in this.
- 17:44Speaker 1: Well, I agree. And so that's the thing. I don't
- 17:48Speaker 1: want to be involved. And who's the Vegas girl? Why
- 17:51Speaker 1: is she called Vegas girl in your contacts?
- 17:55Speaker 3: You know, this is really between my wife and I.
- 17:58Speaker 1: Well, didn't you speak with her? She's on the phone here. Haley,
- 18:00Speaker 1: go ahead. Hey, Matt.
- 18:04Speaker 8: Okay, thank you for the roses, but it doesn't make
- 18:08Speaker 8: sense that you're still texting Vegas girl.
- 18:15Speaker 3: It makes total sense. I take my clients there all
- 18:18Speaker 3: the time. It's good to have someone there, you know,
- 18:22Speaker 3: who can cook us up.
- 18:24Speaker 8: Why is she texting you on a random Wednesday night?
- 18:26Speaker 2: And why not put her name?
- 18:27Speaker 3: Huh. I don't even know her name. I was just
- 18:32Speaker 3: checking in and trying to keep the, you know, the
- 18:34Speaker 3: relationship alive.
- 18:35Speaker 1: Why are you trying to keep the relationship alive?
- 18:41Speaker 3: Look, buddy, I don't even know who you are, but
- 18:44Speaker 3: this needs to stay, you know, you got to stay
- 18:46Speaker 3: out of this. Seriously. All right.
- 18:48Speaker 1: Well, Matt, we're going to let you go. Cause you're right.
- 18:50Speaker 1: We should not be so involved in this. Thank you, Haley.
- 18:53Speaker 1: Good luck.
- 18:55Speaker 5: Yeah. All right.
- 18:55Speaker 8: Thank you guys. Thank you for your time, Ryan.
- 18:57Speaker 5: Okay.
- 18:58Speaker 1: Do you believe him, Haley?
- 19:01Speaker 8: I mean, honestly, I guess I do.
- 19:06Speaker 5: Okay.
- 19:07Speaker 1: Well, good. Then our job is done. And thank you
- 19:10Speaker 1: very much. And why do you turn off message previews, though?
- 19:13Speaker 6: I know.
- 19:14Speaker 1: What's the question for.
- 19:14Speaker 2: I turn those off.
- 19:16Speaker 1: I don't... Well, it's a tiny question. Does the fact
- 19:18Speaker 1: that the flowers are free... And he sent them to
- 19:20Speaker 1: his wife. It sounded very sweet, but they were free.
- 19:22Speaker 1: Does that dilute the sentiment or the gesture?
- 19:24Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 19:24Speaker 2: I thought they were nice flowers.
- 19:26Speaker 1: No, I don't think it dilutes. Yeah, flowers are flowers, right?
- 19:28Speaker 3: Free or not.
- 19:28Speaker 1: Fine, right?
- 19:29Speaker 3: Good.
- 19:29Speaker 1: Good on him.
- 19:30Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 19:30Speaker 2: Good.
- 19:30Speaker 1: All right.
- 19:31Speaker 3: Yeah, kiss.
- 19:32Speaker 5: Baby.
- 19:33Speaker 2: On air with Ryan Seacrest.
- 19:37Speaker 1: On to 2.7, Kiss FM. So, Jeremiah and Sherman Oaks,
- 19:41Speaker 1: what happened, brother?
- 19:42Speaker 5: How can I help? Hey, guys. How you doing? Good. So,
- 19:45Speaker 5: my girlfriend and I, we used to be pretty good,
- 19:48Speaker 5: We'd be pretty great. And we never really snapped at
- 19:51Speaker 5: each other. You know, we were really close and intimate.
- 19:53Speaker 5: And the relationship really felt easy. But since we moved
- 19:58Speaker 5: in together, it's been really different. And we're bickering, like,
- 20:01Speaker 5: almost every day now. And we barely touch. And it's
- 20:05Speaker 5: starting to feel like she's a roommate that I just
- 20:07Speaker 5: share a bed with.
- 20:08Speaker 3: Oh, man.
- 20:09Speaker 5: I'm thinking about ending it, but the problem is that
- 20:13Speaker 5: she gave up a really, really good apartment, and the
- 20:16Speaker 5: room is gone now, and she can't afford to live
- 20:19Speaker 5: alone at all. And if I end this, then she's
- 20:22Speaker 5: going to be scrambling. But I'm the one who pushed
- 20:24Speaker 5: for us to move in together. So if I leave now,
- 20:29Speaker 5: I'm the reason that she's in a really tough spot.
- 20:31Speaker 5: But staying in the relationship, staying in place feels dishonest.
- 20:36Speaker 1: So is there a way to be honest and also
- 20:40Speaker 1: help her through the transition by, I mean, how do
- 20:45Speaker 1: you do that?
- 20:45Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 20:45Speaker 2: Like is the relationship savable? Like maybe you guys just
- 20:48Speaker 2: need to talk and the flame needs to reignite.
- 20:51Speaker 1: And I was thinking, he just says, I'm not feeling anymore,
- 20:53Speaker 1: but I'm not like, let's work this out and figure
- 20:56Speaker 1: it out. So you're not stressed about where you live
- 20:59Speaker 1: since I asked you to come over here and you
- 21:01Speaker 1: gave up your great apartment.
- 21:03Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean, we've really tried to come together and
- 21:05Speaker 5: try to reassess and reunite and everything, but it lasts
- 21:11Speaker 5: for like a day. And then the next thing you know,
- 21:13Speaker 5: she's snapping at me. And it's just, I don't know.
- 21:16Speaker 5: This whole thing was a mistake, I think.
- 21:20Speaker 1: My guess, talk to her. Because she's probably feeling the
- 21:24Speaker 1: same thing. And maybe so much so that she's thought
- 21:27Speaker 1: about where she could go. after you guys are not together.
- 21:31Speaker 1: And that may be the first step here. It may
- 21:33Speaker 1: resolve itself. Okay.
- 21:37Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 21:37Speaker 5: I'm just, I'm scared of what, I'm scared of what
- 21:39Speaker 5: to do.
- 21:40Speaker 1: Like, you know, I think you gotta be honest. I
- 21:42Speaker 1: think not being honest about what's happening and putting up
- 21:45Speaker 1: this front and the charade is worse. And then you
- 21:48Speaker 1: handle it. You deal with it. You deal with it.
- 21:51Speaker 5: Okay.
- 21:52Speaker 1: All right, bro.
- 21:52Speaker 5: Yeah. Communication. I get, I get that.
- 21:54Speaker 3: Okay.
- 21:55Speaker 1: Good luck on that one.
- 21:55Speaker 3: Good luck.
- 21:56Speaker 1: Complicated.
- 21:56Speaker 3: I know.
- 21:56Speaker 5: Thanks guys.
- 21:57Speaker 1: Okay, buddy. Thank you so much.
- 21:58Speaker 3: Bye.
- 21:59Speaker 5: Bye-bye.
- 22:00Speaker 1: Yeah, she's probably feeling it already. She may have already
- 22:03Speaker 1: thought of her escape plan. Yeah. It's Kiss FM. Kiss,
- 22:07Speaker 1: good morning. Now, Sissany was just telling us that she
- 22:10Speaker 1: had the car wash booklet. You buy more for a
- 22:13Speaker 1: better price. You get the booklet car washes, right?
- 22:15Speaker 3: Exactly.
- 22:15Speaker 1: You buy in bulk.
- 22:16Speaker 3: Yes.
- 22:16Speaker 1: And you get a deal on your car washes. And
- 22:19Speaker 1: it's missing?
- 22:20Speaker 2: I love having it, and I keep it in my
- 22:22Speaker 2: center console, and I go and rip one off when
- 22:24Speaker 2: I go and get my car washed. And I went
- 22:26Speaker 2: to look the other day, and it is gone. Like,
- 22:30Speaker 2: I had at least seven more washes.
- 22:33Speaker 1: So what do you think happened? Generally, when that happens
- 22:36Speaker 1: to me, I try to blame someone else, and it
- 22:39Speaker 1: turns out I've misplaced it.
- 22:41Speaker 2: Yeah, my instinct was to blame Michael, and then I
- 22:43Speaker 2: was like, why would Michael take the whole book?
- 22:45Speaker 1: Like, that's weird.
- 22:46Speaker 2: So I ruled him out, and then I thought maybe
- 22:48Speaker 2: the kids went in there and thought it was like,
- 22:50Speaker 2: I don't know, something to play with. Yeah, stickers or
- 22:53Speaker 2: a pad to ride on. And I ruled them out
- 22:56Speaker 2: because it's been there for months. Like, why would they
- 22:59Speaker 2: touch it? And it's just gone. Like, I don't know
- 23:00Speaker 2: where it is. The only thing I can think of
- 23:01Speaker 2: is that I, like, legit got robbed. Like, I left
- 23:04Speaker 2: the car unlocked and someone went in there and took
- 23:07Speaker 2: my book.
- 23:07Speaker 1: This robber went to your car and broke into your
- 23:12Speaker 1: car and was in hunt of the abundance of car
- 23:14Speaker 1: wash to take away from your car. This feels nuts.
- 23:17Speaker 1: They didn't get your car. I have to tell you,
- 23:19Speaker 1: I think that if someone were to rob you and
- 23:21Speaker 1: they got inside the car, they're going to take your car,
- 23:24Speaker 1: not the washes that are at a good price for
- 23:27Speaker 1: the car.
- 23:28Speaker 2: I don't think so. I think people go in and
- 23:30Speaker 2: rummage through people's cars to see what they can grab.
- 23:33Speaker 2: And they're like, oh, I mean, it's like a gift card.
- 23:35Speaker 1: Why don't you run a test? Put a $ 5 bill
- 23:37Speaker 1: out in your car.
- 23:38Speaker 2: On the same spot.
- 23:39Speaker 1: And see if anybody takes that $ 5 bill. When it's gone,
- 23:43Speaker 1: then retrace your steps. Who could have gotten in your car?
- 23:45Speaker 3: Right. Exactly.
- 23:46Speaker 2: Exactly.
- 23:48Speaker 5: All right.
- 23:48Speaker 1: Back room, we're going to spring for a new car
- 23:50Speaker 1: wash booklet for Sissany.
- 23:53Speaker 5: All right.
- 23:54Speaker 1: Love you guys. 102.7 KISS FM. So I'm going to
- 23:57Speaker 1: grab Chanel in Inglewood. Listen to this one. I have
- 24:01Speaker 1: some thoughts already based on just reading this on a
- 24:03Speaker 1: call screen. But she says she's wondering if she should
- 24:06Speaker 1: still buy a gift for her friend who never gets
- 24:09Speaker 1: her a gift for her birthday, but it's her friend's birthday.
- 24:11Speaker 5: Right, Chanel?
- 24:12Speaker 1: No.
- 24:13Speaker 5: Well, yeah, essentially.
- 24:14Speaker 7: So I had a birthday dinner a few months ago,
- 24:19Speaker 7: and I invited a friend who I'd gotten closer to recently.
- 24:22Speaker 7: So I hadn't invited her to a birthday thing before,
- 24:26Speaker 7: but she came to this one, and we had a
- 24:29Speaker 7: great time, but she didn't bring a gift, like not
- 24:33Speaker 7: even a card. But I didn't say anything, obviously, because
- 24:37Speaker 7: I noticed, but Now she's invited me to her birthday
- 24:41Speaker 7: this weekend. So I'm wondering, like, do I bring her
- 24:44Speaker 7: a gift? Because part of me feels like maybe we're
- 24:47Speaker 7: not on gift level with each other. Like, maybe showing
- 24:51Speaker 7: up is enough, but... Part of me feels like if
- 24:53Speaker 7: I don't bring something that I look petty. Like, are
- 24:56Speaker 7: we too old to expect birthday gifts from friends? Is
- 25:00Speaker 7: this normal to keep track of? Like, I don't know.
- 25:03Speaker 7: Do I take the high road or do I match
- 25:05Speaker 7: her energy?
- 25:05Speaker 1: I think you've answered the question in all of the questions,
- 25:08Speaker 1: which is it can look petty and you should take
- 25:10Speaker 1: the high road. Like, I do think you're already there
- 25:12Speaker 1: in your own mind. And I feel like if you're
- 25:15Speaker 1: giving it this amount of thought, go ahead and do it.
- 25:18Speaker 1: It takes more energy in a way if you're willing
- 25:21Speaker 1: to get her a gift. To me, it takes a
- 25:23Speaker 1: little more energy to not get her a gift and
- 25:25Speaker 1: then be thinking about that, stewing on the fact that, okay,
- 25:28Speaker 1: she didn't get me one, so I'm not going to
- 25:30Speaker 1: get her one. And then you're like waiting for a reaction.
- 25:32Speaker 1: Then there's another layer to it. Wouldn't it be better
- 25:35Speaker 1: to just arrive, have a good time, give her the gift,
- 25:38Speaker 1: take the high road, and then have her come back
- 25:40Speaker 1: and thank you and probably apologize for not having given
- 25:44Speaker 1: you a gift?
- 25:46Speaker 7: But like, am I setting up an expectation for her too?
- 25:49Speaker 7: I feel like I'm thinking about this too much.
- 25:51Speaker 1: Exactly.
- 25:52Speaker 3: You are.
- 25:53Speaker 2: I mean, this is what gift giving is about. It
- 25:55Speaker 2: should come out of the kindness of your heart. It's
- 25:57Speaker 2: not tit for tat. If you want to give a gift,
- 25:59Speaker 2: you give a gift because you care about that person.
- 26:02Speaker 1: There's a great.
- 26:03Speaker 2: Quote about this.
- 26:04Speaker 4: It says, what we give doesn't always return, but what
- 26:07Speaker 4: we give is always what we are.
- 26:10Speaker 1: So, Chanel, that means, I think, I think it means give. Yes,
- 26:14Speaker 1: it does.
- 26:16Speaker 2: Be who you are.
- 26:17Speaker 5: Okay, thanks.
- 26:19Speaker 1: You're a good person. Thank you, Chanel. Very generous. 102.7.
- 26:23Speaker 1: Kiss FM. That's it for us, guys. Thank you for listening.
- 26:27Speaker 1: Great show, everybody. Thank you for being here this morning.
- 26:29Speaker 1: Have a good one. Bye-bye, Sissany. Bye-bye, Tanya.
- 26:31Speaker 7: Bye.
- 26:31Speaker 2: Thank you, Ryan. Thank you, Tanya.
- 26:34Speaker 1: Yes, thank you. Gratitude.
- 26:35Speaker 2: Yes.
- 26:36Speaker 1: Thank our coworkers.
- 26:36Speaker 2: Love you guys.
- 26:38Speaker 1: Kiss FM. Have a great Thursday.
- 26:41Speaker 8: Come on.
- 26:42Speaker 2: Almost Friday.
- 26:44Speaker 1: Thanks for listening to On Air with Ryan Seacrest. Make
- 26:47Speaker 1: sure to subscribe, and we'll talk to you again tomorrow.
