- 1:11Speaker 1: this episode. Welcome to Ford the dads. Make sure you
- 1:14Speaker 1: take out your trash. Are we recording is the first question,
- 1:19Speaker 1: because what I've noticed is the little Tech deal isn't
- 1:23Speaker 1: backed by you anymore. It's over by Chef Jack, captain
- 1:27Speaker 1: of Semen Team six. So, Chef Jack, are you now?
- 1:31Speaker 1: Are you now the guy who hits the record button?
- 1:33Speaker 2: I am now the guy that hits the recording.
- 1:35Speaker 1: I saw some wat in the comments saying this should
- 1:37Speaker 1: be on Jack, it shouldn't be on the guy helping
- 1:39Speaker 1: host a show. To that guy, I say, you are wrong,
- 1:42Speaker 1: because that was Shirm. That was that was Shirm's like
- 1:46Speaker 1: entire like, yeah, he is a co host. Well, we
- 1:48Speaker 1: started this show, it didn't feel like it was gonna
- 1:50Speaker 1: be this much of a co hosting show with each other.
- 1:54Speaker 1: Now I felt like you were gonna chime in, You're
- 1:55Speaker 1: gonna run the stuff, You're gonna help produce a lot
- 1:57Speaker 1: more we did. We've gotten very lucky with our intern
- 1:59Speaker 1: Chef and but to that comment, it's like yeah, but
- 2:04Speaker 1: we understand that, and we hear you that Chef Jack
- 2:07Speaker 1: could have possibly been the one that hit record or
- 2:08Speaker 1: ask a question, are we recording? But we don't. We
- 2:11Speaker 1: take full accountability in this place.
- 2:14Speaker 3: There there is no part of me. First off, I
- 2:16Speaker 3: took pictures of his new setup. Please put that in
- 2:20Speaker 3: the edit on YouTube so that they can see it
- 2:23Speaker 3: set up. His set up is dialed, dialed. I walked
- 2:26Speaker 3: through that door into the production side today. I saw
- 2:31Speaker 3: that there was no recorder over here himself. He did,
- 2:34Speaker 3: and I said.
- 2:35Speaker 1: This wasn't a team this wasn't a duo conversation.
- 2:38Speaker 3: I lowered my head and I said good. I said good,
- 2:45Speaker 3: but honestly because and I told him, like I love that,
- 2:49Speaker 3: And this was in the part that we didn't record
- 2:52Speaker 3: last week. Chef is full of time now well starting.
- 2:57Speaker 1: He hasn't signed a dotted line, nor does he have
- 2:59Speaker 1: the contracted.
- 3:00Speaker 3: Does he have the contract?
- 3:02Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, he's been offered to be for he's been Yeah,
- 3:05Speaker 1: he's heard that he's going to get offered full time,
- 3:08Speaker 1: which is even which is funnier because it's like we
- 3:11Speaker 1: haven't even had well, I guess you came up and
- 3:12Speaker 1: you said thank you, and I'm like, buddy, you've you've
- 3:15Speaker 1: crushed it all summer and for you to take on
- 3:18Speaker 1: a full project like for the dads, like take on
- 3:21Speaker 1: the show, it is nuts. What are you twenty three? Yeah,
- 3:25Speaker 1: twenty three unpaid internship coming in on the production side.
- 3:30Speaker 1: We had zero thought of hiring anybody outside of like
- 3:35Speaker 1: social media, and for you to come take on this
- 3:38Speaker 1: show for the dads, take on this brand afore the dads. Yeah,
- 3:40Speaker 1: there are some things I think we could tighten up
- 3:42Speaker 1: on YouTube and posting. Right now, guys, as you're watching
- 3:45Speaker 1: Chef Jack, our twenty three year old intern who's been.
- 3:47Speaker 3: A stud a stallion, dude.
- 3:50Speaker 1: What is the saying? Whyse beyond his ears?
- 3:52Speaker 3: Is kind of wise beyond his years.
- 3:54Speaker 1: It's kind of the sentence people say when you bring out, Hey,
- 3:56Speaker 1: what do you think about Chef Jack? He's he's wise
- 3:58Speaker 1: beyond his ears. He's got that professionalism about him. Yes,
- 4:02Speaker 1: and uh, but for you to take it on, dude, seriously,
- 4:04Speaker 1: it's you've crushed it.
- 4:06Speaker 2: Thank you. I appreciate it.
- 4:07Speaker 4: It's fun, Like just like everyone who probably listens or watch, like,
- 4:11Speaker 4: it's a fun to watch you guys interact and put
- 4:14Speaker 4: on the show, and I feel like I got a
- 4:16Speaker 4: great seat to it and I've enjoyed.
- 4:18Speaker 2: Like every bit of the work. Like it's been cool.
- 4:20Speaker 4: I'm just I just graduated college and I was sitting
- 4:23Speaker 4: on my couch two months ago with my buddy drinking
- 4:27Speaker 4: a beer and I saw on Instagram, you guys are
- 4:29Speaker 4: looking for in turns and I had nothing lined up.
- 4:31Speaker 4: So I was like, full, full transparency. I got denied
- 4:35Speaker 4: to a bunch of places, and I was like, well,
- 4:36Speaker 4: let's just see, let's see what we're gonna do. I
- 4:38Speaker 4: was already gonna be back to Nashville, and so to
- 4:40Speaker 4: go from that two months later, sitting here and it's
- 4:43Speaker 4: like it's really cool on my end, and I'm like,
- 4:46Speaker 4: just pump for this whole podcast. And yes, not official yet,
- 4:50Speaker 4: but well, you know it's gonna be a good road.
- 4:53Speaker 1: I mean, shout out Chef Jack in the comments. Shout
- 4:56Speaker 1: out Chef Jack, captain a Seman Team six.
- 4:59Speaker 3: He is the happened now of both the Record Button
- 5:02Speaker 3: and Semen Team sig Yes, and well, dude, well deserved,
- 5:05Speaker 3: well earned. I won't gload too much because he waxed
- 5:08Speaker 3: poetic very well, but Chef is awesome and Jared was
- 5:14Speaker 3: in charge of picking our interns this summer, of filtering
- 5:18Speaker 3: them down to like a number that we could easily
- 5:21Speaker 3: select our interns. Yeah, and when he pulled up Jack's
- 5:25Speaker 3: resume and his video that he submitted, he said, in
- 5:31Speaker 3: that moment, I don't think this guy needs to be
- 5:33Speaker 3: an intern. I think he needs to be full time.
- 5:36Speaker 3: And JP and I after watching that, and Mitch as well,
- 5:39Speaker 3: but JP and I actually spoke about it. We're like, dude,
- 5:42Speaker 3: before he even got in the building, this guy's a stud.
- 5:45Speaker 3: So those places that rejected you, their loss. That's our game.
- 5:50Speaker 1: And correct me if I'm wrong too. But for the dads,
- 5:53Speaker 1: was more like a project that he approached asking to do.
- 5:56Speaker 3: Yeah. Yes, and dude, the whole this whole process. The
- 6:02Speaker 3: reason that I feel like we thank everybody at the
- 6:04Speaker 3: top is because we went into this so blind. There
- 6:08Speaker 3: was an idea that you had generated. There was a
- 6:11Speaker 3: full pitch deck. There was us working with our third
- 6:15Speaker 3: party production part or really you working with our third
- 6:17Speaker 3: party production partner, going Sherman, this could be a really
- 6:21Speaker 3: good show. This is where I see you, blah blah blah.
- 6:24Speaker 3: We had no idea that it was going to get
- 6:27Speaker 3: the buy in that it got. We had no idea
- 6:30Speaker 3: what it would look like with me having a baby.
- 6:32Speaker 3: How much can Sherman carry on his shoulders? Having a
- 6:36Speaker 3: child is a very humbling experience, and I feel like
- 6:39Speaker 3: I'm texting this guy multiple times saying you are the man,
- 6:44Speaker 3: you are crushing it. I feel like I'm letting everyone
- 6:47Speaker 3: down with how much I'm not doing and the fact
- 6:50Speaker 3: that an unpaid intern is editing the full episode doing
- 6:54Speaker 3: social cle.
- 6:55Speaker 1: Like showing up early, staying late.
- 6:58Speaker 3: You're a stud, dude, Well you're a stud.
- 7:01Speaker 2: Quickly, I'd like to throw back.
- 7:02Speaker 4: Sharam within a week came to me and offered, Yeah,
- 7:06Speaker 4: as much as I'd love to say, I've had the
- 7:08Speaker 4: brilliant idea of approaching Sherm came to me and asked
- 7:11Speaker 4: to watch the episode and possibly help out with some clips.
- 7:15Speaker 1: Right because Sherm was essentially gonna be doing yeah as
- 7:18Speaker 1: much as possible on it. Again us not experiencing what
- 7:21Speaker 1: it'd be like when you had your kid. It's like, yeah,
- 7:23Speaker 1: you did you miss hit and record?
- 7:24Speaker 3: Could it have been? Dad brain?
- 7:25Speaker 1: I saw a few comments out there, and you, of course,
- 7:27Speaker 1: thank you guys, hey, and thank you guys, But I'm
- 7:30Speaker 1: not God, I will not accept that, but thank you,
- 7:34Speaker 1: thank you, I see you. Yeah, and then he watched
- 7:36Speaker 1: the first one and started breaking down and making clips
- 7:38Speaker 1: and you'd be like, hey, uh, Chef Jack's been the
- 7:41Speaker 1: one making the clips and posting everything on the internet,
- 7:46Speaker 1: and it's kind of like, you know, oh, that's awesome
- 7:49Speaker 1: to hear. It seems like we're going to need a
- 7:51Speaker 1: producer for this show.
- 7:53Speaker 3: Yeah, because there would be some weeks where and now
- 7:57Speaker 3: we're just kind of going into the weeds of like
- 7:58Speaker 3: the back end stuff here at Busting. But uh, it
- 8:02Speaker 3: is a full on operation that is really fun, and
- 8:04Speaker 3: I feel like something that will be explored way more
- 8:08Speaker 3: from what I'm hearing with the bust scene stuff of
- 8:10Speaker 3: like this fall is it's a full on operation. And
- 8:13Speaker 3: so the intern's coming in and crushing like they did,
- 8:16Speaker 3: but especially Chef and shout out big Cheese Caeso Grande
- 8:22Speaker 3: for his help. Dude is unreal. Just being able to hey,
- 8:27Speaker 3: I can really edit this episode because I can trust
- 8:31Speaker 3: Chef to do these social clips. Yeah. Oh well, now
- 8:33Speaker 3: I'm you know, with baby, I'm coming up here trying
- 8:37Speaker 3: not to micromanage, but how's the how's that edit going,
- 8:40Speaker 3: Oh man, it's good, I got it.
- 8:42Speaker 1: I was on the couch with my boy drinking a beer. Sure,
- 8:45Speaker 1: nothing lined up. You just be a dad man, that's
- 8:48Speaker 1: all you gotta worry about.
- 8:49Speaker 3: Right now. I'm like, this guy's an unpaid intern told
- 8:51Speaker 3: me this, Yeah, crazy, crazy.
- 8:54Speaker 4: I want the responsibility like in a in a way
- 8:57Speaker 4: like that, Like it's been cool because I didn't if
- 9:00Speaker 4: I could, I've been able to do some cool stuff
- 9:03Speaker 4: before graduating. But i'm you know, taken on like a podcast.
- 9:07Speaker 4: It's like you don't even know if you can do it.
- 9:09Speaker 4: So it's kind of a cool challenge to be like,
- 9:11Speaker 4: oh yeah we can, and I agree will there's some
- 9:13Speaker 4: stuff we can hone in on and trying to juggle
- 9:17Speaker 4: some hats. But yeah, it's just cool all around.
- 9:19Speaker 2: That's why I told you no one just.
- 9:21Speaker 1: Knowing that everything's coming from you is like, you know,
- 9:23Speaker 1: obviously there's tons of empathy. It's like I'm scanning stuff
- 9:26Speaker 1: and kind of looking at and it's like, it's why
- 9:28Speaker 1: you want to throw resources and bring in a social
- 9:30Speaker 1: media producer and bring in bringing talent to help because
- 9:33Speaker 1: the buy in of the show has been so cool
- 9:36Speaker 1: and it's like you don't want to let you don't
- 9:37Speaker 1: want to let everybody down. It's like we're building this
- 9:39Speaker 1: community and people are comment and people are you know,
- 9:42Speaker 1: whether it's on Instagram, on YouTube, whatever it is. We
- 9:45Speaker 1: talked about the Papa Team six shirts, like, the community
- 9:48Speaker 1: buy in has been awesome.
- 9:50Speaker 3: We didn't even know if this would be a weekly
- 9:52Speaker 3: show when you were first pitching it.
- 9:53Speaker 1: Right, because we just didn't know how often we wanted
- 9:56Speaker 1: to potentially do it. It's like committing to doing another
- 9:58Speaker 1: show on top of us and all the things we
- 10:00Speaker 1: got coming down the pipe with Busting with the Boys.
- 10:03Speaker 1: Used didn't know. I personally didn't know how often I
- 10:06Speaker 1: would want to do it or would have the bandwidth
- 10:09Speaker 1: to do it. But it's been so fun.
- 10:11Speaker 3: It's been fun, dude, And shout out these Sikkahs that
- 10:15Speaker 3: showed up to buy that PT six shirt.
- 10:17Speaker 1: Bro were sold like over five hundred right now, which yeah,
- 10:22Speaker 1: that's unreal, dude. We wish it was all the shirts.
- 10:25Speaker 1: So if it's like we have ten thousand views in
- 10:27Speaker 1: the last episode, I wish all ten thousand dads, all
- 10:30Speaker 1: ten thousand Papa Seals chimed in and boll the shirt.
- 10:33Speaker 1: I know it's still coming because this shirt is a
- 10:37Speaker 1: shirt that just it bonds the fatherhood. It imagine yourself
- 10:41Speaker 1: walking around, say you're on vacation, or say you're just
- 10:44Speaker 1: walking around on a Saturday. Maybe you're at the farmer's
- 10:46Speaker 1: park and you look down over by the lettuce and
- 10:49Speaker 1: tomatoes and you just see a Papa Seal repping a
- 10:52Speaker 1: Papa Team six shirt and you just know that they
- 10:54Speaker 1: tune into the same for the Dad's podcast that you do,
- 10:56Speaker 1: and you go up and tap on the shoulder and
- 10:58Speaker 1: be like PT six and just dap them up. That's
- 11:01Speaker 1: a fatherhood that is etched yep. That only dads and
- 11:04Speaker 1: only Papa Seals and Papa Team six members understand. And
- 11:07Speaker 1: that's what juices me up about it. When we're getting
- 11:10Speaker 1: the text from Garrett on how many you know, I
- 11:12Speaker 1: think it was like in the first thirty minutes over
- 11:14Speaker 1: around one hundred.
- 11:15Speaker 3: And fifty was sold. Yeah, it just it gassed me up,
- 11:18Speaker 3: and then it just very I don't remember the amount
- 11:21Speaker 3: of time, but later that day, Oh by the way,
- 11:23Speaker 3: we're at four eighty eight like something like that. I
- 11:25Speaker 3: was like eight, Oh my god, and.
- 11:29Speaker 1: I'm like I'm out enjoying vacation.
- 11:31Speaker 3: In Canada.
- 11:32Speaker 1: A lot of great stories that are gonna come from
- 11:33Speaker 1: Canada on this episode. Let's go in week three of Scarlet.
- 11:37Speaker 1: I know there's some fun, fun stories down the pod. Yeah,
- 11:40Speaker 1: but being in Canada and like, you know, you want
- 11:42Speaker 1: to make video, you want to like do stuff to
- 11:44Speaker 1: keep juicing the Papa Team six. But I'm like, I
- 11:46Speaker 1: gotta be here, I gotta i gotta enjoy vacation to
- 11:49Speaker 1: turn off the work brain.
- 11:51Speaker 3: But juice.
- 11:52Speaker 1: When I saw you made your video to promote the
- 11:53Speaker 1: Papa Team six shirts, I'm just I'm geeking and smiling
- 11:56Speaker 1: behind my phone. I'm like, man, I can't wait to
- 11:58Speaker 1: do some of this stuff when I get back. But
- 12:01Speaker 1: it's been awesome. Bwtv dot com is where you can
- 12:03Speaker 1: buy our first iteration of our Papa Team six shirts.
- 12:07Speaker 1: And to start off, there's a comment from Alex Alex
- 12:12Speaker 1: W fourteen fifty seven. It says, showed my wife the
- 12:14Speaker 1: new shirt. Her response, the bear has all that gear,
- 12:18Speaker 1: but where's the baby? Mom taking care of the baby boll?
- 12:21Speaker 1: Dad grills with the gear, then he put damn still
- 12:24Speaker 1: getting the shirt. PT.
- 12:26Speaker 3: Six. The mom is right, Mom, I'm.
- 12:32Speaker 1: Damn, I'm looking at the detailed shirt, and people are like,
- 12:34Speaker 1: why you guys not wearing the shirts right now? We
- 12:35Speaker 1: haven't got him in we haven't. We haven't gotten him
- 12:37Speaker 1: in the shop yet, trust me.
- 12:39Speaker 3: But that's okay.
- 12:40Speaker 1: But I'm thinking, I'm like looking at the details of
- 12:42Speaker 1: the shirt because i love the shirt. And then I'm
- 12:43Speaker 1: like laughing about this quote because I'm like, the mom
- 12:45Speaker 1: is one hundred percent right, Like what is this? What
- 12:47Speaker 1: is this Papa Sial doing in the garage? Just setting
- 12:49Speaker 1: it up so you can get a nice photo for
- 12:50Speaker 1: the Graham It's just back. I'm locked and loaded ready
- 12:53Speaker 1: for my watching. It's like, where's the kid?
- 12:55Speaker 3: Which was me? I mean truly me and that raccoon video?
- 12:59Speaker 3: Where's Scarlett? I'll tell you where she is. She's getting
- 13:03Speaker 3: bounced by Jill and they're probably crying and Jill's going,
- 13:05Speaker 3: what the hell is my husband doing?
- 13:07Speaker 1: The Papa team Shook six shirt. That's pre game. That's
- 13:10Speaker 1: getting ready. You're getting to go on watch.
- 13:12Speaker 3: You're getting ready, dude, because you're pulling some uh you're
- 13:15Speaker 3: pulling some some all nighters.
- 13:17Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, but you want to you want to keep
- 13:20Speaker 1: ripping YouTube coming.
- 13:21Speaker 3: I'm so sorry, don't wheel pop. We have Brooke McKenzie
- 13:25Speaker 3: seven eight two six. Hey guys, my name is Brooke.
- 13:28Speaker 3: I just gave birth eight days ago. My fiance and
- 13:31Speaker 3: I are twenty five and twenty six years old. None
- 13:34Speaker 3: of our friends have children yet. And essentially she walked
- 13:37Speaker 3: into the room husband was uh watching for the Dads
- 13:40Speaker 3: on the TV. She popped the squad next to him.
- 13:43Speaker 3: She said, she's equally as big of a fan as
- 13:45Speaker 3: her husband. Let's go, Brooke, come on, let's go. That.
- 13:56Speaker 1: Does that juices me up?
- 13:58Speaker 3: Does juice us up?
- 13:59Speaker 1: Just to picture of couple sitting on the couch and
- 14:01Speaker 1: watching for the Dad's podcast on I'm going to assume
- 14:05Speaker 1: big screen.
- 14:06Speaker 3: Yeah, just enjoying the night and Mama bears like, yo,
- 14:10Speaker 3: this ship's gased.
- 14:11Speaker 1: Yeah, we gotta do more for the moms. I saw
- 14:14Speaker 1: a couple being like, do the collab with the wives
- 14:16Speaker 1: with the wives podcast? Should be doing collabs with mom.
- 14:18Speaker 1: But trust me that stuff. These three brains, one of
- 14:21Speaker 1: them operating the most, and that chef Jack. The other
- 14:25Speaker 1: two brains more just dad brain fleeting, just taking it
- 14:28Speaker 1: as it comes. We will have a strategy and there
- 14:31Speaker 1: will be some fun down the pipe to so he'll
- 14:33Speaker 1: bloom lesson of the Week last week on enjoying the
- 14:36Speaker 1: Magic Years from his book Five Types of Wealth. Having
- 14:39Speaker 1: see Heal bloom On. I think would be a lot
- 14:40Speaker 1: of fun having dads on moms. Yes, just doing fun collabse.
- 14:47Speaker 1: I think it'd be sick, especially diving into the weeds
- 14:49Speaker 1: of how do you do this? Yes, this is how
- 14:52Speaker 1: dad's kind of bitch on the side and talk shit
- 14:53Speaker 1: behind your back a little bit.
- 14:55Speaker 3: How do the moms do it? The wives would be crazy, dude,
- 14:59Speaker 3: we would be flamed. But we hold her own. We
- 15:03Speaker 3: hold her. I would have to sit over there with you.
- 15:05Speaker 1: Because the dad's out there watching. We're representing Papa Team six.
- 15:09Speaker 1: We can't just go quiet into the night and lay down.
- 15:12Speaker 3: No, we need a full kangaroo corda. Don't put the
- 15:16Speaker 3: camera chef on them too much. Keep it over here.
- 15:18Speaker 3: I'll come sit next see you. We'll have them over here,
- 15:21Speaker 3: and it's gonna be two v two.
- 15:23Speaker 1: Yeah, it'll be two v two and a lot of
- 15:24Speaker 1: times it'll be like you're one hundred percent right. But
- 15:27Speaker 1: let me just tell you what goes on in my
- 15:29Speaker 1: brain when this happens. And I'm not defending myself. Sometimes
- 15:36Speaker 1: I'm just not thinking about it. I can't read your mind,
- 15:40Speaker 1: but you do a.
- 15:41Speaker 3: Great job of communicating. Yeah, and I love you. You
- 15:44Speaker 3: look beautiful. Yeah, sweetheart, we love you.
- 15:47Speaker 1: Here we go from a Nick C ninety six Papa
- 15:50Speaker 1: Team six sled dog again. You have one girl of
- 15:53Speaker 1: my own, My girl has, my girl has three girls.
- 15:57Speaker 1: Just found out the gender of our baby on the way.
- 16:00Speaker 1: We will have a full roster of girls. Girl, Dad
- 16:03Speaker 1: times five, pray for your boy. This comment right here
- 16:07Speaker 1: is why dads go silent later in life. It's why
- 16:11Speaker 1: you find him sitting in the corner at a holiday
- 16:14Speaker 1: party and everybody's like, oh, what's up with Joe over there?
- 16:16Speaker 3: Oh?
- 16:17Speaker 1: He doesn't talk whole lot. That's because he's out manned
- 16:19Speaker 1: and out gunned the moment he gets into the car
- 16:22Speaker 1: to go home. Because you know Joe, if you just
- 16:24Speaker 1: sit and get to know him and talk to him,
- 16:25Speaker 1: I'm sure he's gonna love hunting. He's probably got his camera, like, Hey,
- 16:29Speaker 1: check out this a porner I found on my farm.
- 16:31Speaker 3: He does. But he stays quiet at parties.
- 16:33Speaker 1: Why because those dads who say one wrong thing on
- 16:37Speaker 1: the car right home?
- 16:39Speaker 3: Honey, what you have to say? Why'd you say it
- 16:41Speaker 3: like that. Dad, don't talk to you like that, dad, Dad?
- 16:47Speaker 3: Oh my god, what was his say?
- 16:49Speaker 1: Thanks for telling everybody I don't give you blow jobs anymore?
- 16:52Speaker 1: What what the hell was that?
- 16:56Speaker 3: I turn have some fun. I can't just be a man.
- 16:58Speaker 1: I can't just have some fun at a holiday party,
- 17:00Speaker 1: joke around with the boys.
- 17:01Speaker 3: And I did say blow job. I said, smoke my pipe,
- 17:05Speaker 3: death friend. That's death friend. They fucking say that. But
- 17:09Speaker 3: that right there is how dads go silent.
- 17:12Speaker 1: And that is why I'm terrified of having a third daughter,
- 17:16Speaker 1: because you just get out, you get out numbered, and
- 17:18Speaker 1: he's just like you fucking let me just get home,
- 17:21Speaker 1: let me survive.
- 17:22Speaker 3: Where's my baby? Yeah? Let me yeah? Yeah? Where's my baby? Yeah?
- 17:26Speaker 1: Where's my baby boy at? Where's my lineage? Where's my
- 17:30Speaker 1: heir to the throne?
- 17:31Speaker 3: Oh?
- 17:31Speaker 1: But that's what happens, I'm telling you. That's kind of
- 17:34Speaker 1: my that's my thesis on it. I've thought about this
- 17:36Speaker 1: a lot because a lot of dads out there that
- 17:38Speaker 1: are like great, great talks when you when you break
- 17:41Speaker 1: through the barriers, and you wonder why they're sitting with
- 17:43Speaker 1: the twenty four pack at the end of at the
- 17:45Speaker 1: end of the dinner table or at the end of
- 17:46Speaker 1: the island, kind of sitting in the lung, just waiting
- 17:48Speaker 1: for the conversation to come in because he knows he
- 17:50Speaker 1: says one wrong thing. It's listen, boys, I love having
- 17:53Speaker 1: a great time around you guys. But the minute I
- 17:55Speaker 1: leave here, the other twenty three hours.
- 17:58Speaker 3: Nood there there. There was a perfect example of that
- 18:01Speaker 3: by the way of a girl that I went to
- 18:03Speaker 3: high school with, very social girl would have like bonfires
- 18:07Speaker 3: at her house and friends all come over and her
- 18:09Speaker 3: dad all girls. They had, all girls. Her dad was
- 18:13Speaker 3: such a fucking legend. Dude, so quiet though you had
- 18:16Speaker 3: to get him in the right spot. But he's the
- 18:18Speaker 3: one while the party's going on inside, he's building the
- 18:20Speaker 3: bonfire outside. Yeah, are you putting gas on that? You
- 18:24Speaker 3: don't put gas on a bonfire, You put diesel because
- 18:27Speaker 3: it burns slow.
- 18:27Speaker 1: Anybody ever showed you this trick? Runs out to the woods,
- 18:31Speaker 1: Go get that lighter. Go, I'm gonna show you how
- 18:34Speaker 1: desel burn slow. This is what you look for when
- 18:36Speaker 1: the wood's a little too dry. You don't want the
- 18:39Speaker 1: wood too dry. And what are you doing right there?
- 18:42Speaker 3: What is that? No, we're not using an electric lider.
- 18:45Speaker 3: We're using mattress. We're gonna step away, We're gonna toss
- 18:48Speaker 3: the matches.
- 18:49Speaker 1: Hold that thought.
- 18:50Speaker 3: Here comes the ill ball and chain. But truly such
- 18:55Speaker 3: a legend, dude, and very like Yeah to your exact point,
- 18:59Speaker 3: Gang camera is probably a CFB sicko. I didn't have
- 19:03Speaker 3: too many talks with them, but all of us we
- 19:05Speaker 3: had always talk about like, bro, he's such a legend.
- 19:08Speaker 1: Yeah, and you gotta I don't know how to say this,
- 19:12Speaker 1: but you gotta continue.
- 19:14Speaker 3: You can't let you can't let him take.
- 19:16Speaker 1: Your voice away.
- 19:17Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 19:18Speaker 1: You know when you start having a conversation, I'm saying,
- 19:19Speaker 1: I'm asking you a question, then your wife starts answering
- 19:22Speaker 1: for you.
- 19:22Speaker 3: They talk for you, so you're just like, you know, what's.
- 19:24Speaker 1: The But hey, Nick, congratulations on the girl coming the
- 19:29Speaker 1: girl dad of five.
- 19:31Speaker 3: We love Nick, and you have a voice in our comments. Yes,
- 19:35Speaker 3: you have a voice in this comment section.
- 19:37Speaker 1: Nick, I expect to see another comment from you on
- 19:41Speaker 1: this episode.
- 19:43Speaker 3: Your existence is futile. Yeah, but we love you.
- 19:46Speaker 1: This is why you gotta love Papa Team six because
- 19:49Speaker 1: we're all in this shit together.
- 19:50Speaker 3: We are, It's why we have the platform and we
- 19:53Speaker 3: may have a new branch of the military with this comment. Okay,
- 19:57Speaker 3: reporting then sorry, this is Carlos. Carlos the one reporting
- 20:05Speaker 3: from the goon Berets. Can we represent as well the
- 20:14Speaker 3: goon Berets. Look, he said, it's just how you're gooning. Dude,
- 20:18Speaker 3: you're talking like he's not seeming team. He's just jerking.
- 20:23Speaker 3: He's just he's gooning. You're just jerking off. He's just jerking.
- 20:28Speaker 3: And he wants to be at six. He wants to
- 20:31Speaker 3: start the goon Berets. Jack McPherson would fucking love to
- 20:36Speaker 3: be a part of the goon Berets.
- 20:38Speaker 1: With this being a family show. Can I tell you
- 20:40Speaker 1: what my opinion.
- 20:41Speaker 3: Is, please go ahead.
- 20:43Speaker 1: I love it.
- 20:44Speaker 3: I love it the beretson Berets. Get that on a shirt, dude.
- 20:50Speaker 1: Okay, for there's there's probably because you know we got
- 20:52Speaker 1: I would like to assume very quality parents and mature
- 20:56Speaker 1: adults on here. They probably have no clue what we're
- 20:58Speaker 1: talking about.
- 20:59Speaker 3: Yeah, and they're like, hey, where's the you.
- 21:01Speaker 1: Know, goon Yeah, gooning meaning urban Dictionary. All right, here
- 21:09Speaker 1: we go.
- 21:13Speaker 3: So this is the goom Berets, This is the goom Berats. Okay, bro,
- 21:20Speaker 3: I can't say this. I thought gooning might just be
- 21:24Speaker 3: jerking off. We're all adults here.
- 21:27Speaker 1: Gooning is an act.
- 21:28Speaker 3: We're in.
- 21:30Speaker 1: Porn Addicts masturbate in edge for hours on end, yet
- 21:37Speaker 1: do not achieve orgasm, nor do they want to for
- 21:41Speaker 1: weeks or months. Any orgasm a gooner or goo neet
- 21:47Speaker 1: does have should be ruined. Oh ah, Yeah, the goom Berets,
- 21:53Speaker 1: the goom Berets Family show.
- 21:55Speaker 3: Family show, they can represent they Yeah, like we can
- 22:00Speaker 3: be aware that the gooon Berets are a thing. Yeah,
- 22:03Speaker 3: and that there's an assignment. There's a job somewhere out
- 22:06Speaker 3: there where we will need the goo Berets later on
- 22:09Speaker 3: down the rest.
- 22:10Speaker 1: Yes, because no matter what, when the TikTok moms come
- 22:13Speaker 1: after us, we're gonna need an army. That's what you
- 22:17Speaker 1: call those sikos. Yeah, the special That's what I said.
- 22:21Speaker 1: Papa sherm Hey fifty miles south, Go talk to house
- 22:27Speaker 1: goon Beret.
- 22:28Speaker 3: Go go light the torch.
- 22:29Speaker 1: Who said that comment, Carlos the one. Go talk to
- 22:33Speaker 1: Carlos the one. He's head, he's head of the goo Berets.
- 22:36Speaker 1: House goon Beret, House goon Beret House. Yeah, House Bolton,
- 22:41Speaker 1: House Gooner, House Gooner. I'm trying to get in my
- 22:45Speaker 1: Game of Thrones Brainery Carlos of House goon Yeah, Carlos,
- 22:48Speaker 1: the one of House Gooner, and let him know. The
- 22:51Speaker 1: leader of the goom Berets small army, very niche. But
- 22:55Speaker 1: when a push comes a shove and we might need
- 22:58Speaker 1: to build out an army for a war, we gotta
- 23:00Speaker 1: be able to call on the goon Berets.
- 23:02Speaker 3: I don't know that the moms of House TikTok march
- 23:06Speaker 3: upon for the dads, light the beacon.
- 23:09Speaker 1: Let the yeah, let the gooon Bereas know winter is coming.
- 23:15Speaker 1: So yeah that moms are here.
- 23:18Speaker 3: That was probably my favorite comment that I saw, Like
- 23:21Speaker 3: that's funny, bro dude, God, I think I replied to
- 23:25Speaker 3: it on YouTube. I was like, this is fucking.
- 23:29Speaker 1: What makes me laugh.
- 23:30Speaker 3: Twos.
- 23:30Speaker 1: We might have people tuning in for the first time
- 23:32Speaker 1: that are like, what in the fuck did Tim put
- 23:36Speaker 1: me on? What link is Tim? What show is Tim
- 23:40Speaker 1: trying to put me on?
- 23:41Speaker 3: Right now? And they're probably in the office.
- 23:42Speaker 1: I thought he said they talked about dad hats lesson
- 23:45Speaker 1: of the week. They do fun call ins with some
- 23:48Speaker 1: some dad advice, not experts. We're not experts experts and
- 23:52Speaker 1: we will get to those segments. But this is just
- 23:53Speaker 1: a boy's goofing.
- 23:54Speaker 3: This is just we're we're goofing with Papa Team six.
- 23:59Speaker 1: We are And if you want to be a part
- 24:01Speaker 1: of up at Team six bwtv dot com, go get
- 24:03Speaker 1: you that shirt first iteration.
- 24:05Speaker 3: Pop can subscribe, I can subscribe.
- 24:07Speaker 1: I like the envision those shirts too, being a collectible
- 24:10Speaker 1: one day, like maybe we have this show for thirty years.
- 24:13Speaker 3: Dude, I like that. I'd okay. One, I love that idea.
- 24:17Speaker 3: Two an idea that I'm just throwing out there. I
- 24:20Speaker 3: kind of wanted to talk to you about this before
- 24:22Speaker 3: we did on the pod, but I feel like it's
- 24:23Speaker 3: the right Okay. There's a podcast that one of my
- 24:26Speaker 3: friends used to listen to last podcasts on the Left,
- 24:29Speaker 3: and they would sell these little buttons that you put
- 24:32Speaker 3: on a backpack, like you know those like sorority buttons
- 24:36Speaker 3: that those people made. Yeah, it's like miniature ones, and
- 24:39Speaker 3: they would sell them with like little sayings from their podcasts.
- 24:42Speaker 3: But a guy and I need to find the DM
- 24:44Speaker 3: who's actually a VET was like yo in the Army,
- 24:48Speaker 3: like in the military, or I think he was actually
- 24:51Speaker 3: in the Navy. He was talking about how they have
- 24:53Speaker 3: something called morale patches, where it's not like official patches,
- 24:58Speaker 3: but they're just morale that you put, like on the
- 25:01Speaker 3: back of your backpack or somewhere.
- 25:03Speaker 1: In your study.
- 25:05Speaker 3: We could make little badges with those miniature sorority buttons
- 25:10Speaker 3: that would go perfect on like a diaper bag or
- 25:13Speaker 3: like something like this.
- 25:14Speaker 1: Bro, the possibilities are endless. You just have to execute.
- 25:19Speaker 1: We have to execute.
- 25:20Speaker 3: We have to execute.
- 25:22Speaker 1: And speaking of execution, here's a dad hack from Cameron
- 25:24Speaker 1: Blake ninety eight ninety A dad hack. We're not even
- 25:28Speaker 1: to that segment, but I want to shout out this
- 25:30Speaker 1: dad hack. Teach your son how to use the fly swatter.
- 25:34Speaker 1: My two year old spent thirty non tantrum minutes on
- 25:38Speaker 1: a mission deleting flies as Dad cracked a couple of
- 25:42Speaker 1: cold ones watching sports, teaching patients hand eye coordination and
- 25:47Speaker 1: the killer instinct. Bet could Betty could even take Taylor
- 25:51Speaker 1: three twenty two to the pool side if he could
- 25:54Speaker 1: ever find the zone. His stats forty two whiffs, twenty
- 25:58Speaker 1: four almost twelve dead at watch Goda Love Dead aut watch, dude,
- 26:04Speaker 1: eight dead flies. It's a dad hat. Let your boy
- 26:08Speaker 1: get going with the fly swatter.
- 26:10Speaker 3: What a legend. Yeah, and if for any of the
- 26:13Speaker 3: hunters out there, that would be a good introduction into
- 26:17Speaker 3: hunting world with those assault guns. Have you ever seen
- 26:20Speaker 3: those salt shotguns? Oh yeah, no for fly? Oh will oh?
- 26:24Speaker 1: Oh oh yeah yeah for fly Yeah. Okay, I know
- 26:26Speaker 1: you're talking about.
- 26:27Speaker 3: That would be sick too. Just let them go. Yeah.
- 26:31Speaker 1: Just I love the dead out Watch stad dude, the
- 26:34Speaker 1: dead out Watch, Like I had to watch rude. She's
- 26:36Speaker 1: like dad watch uh forget what she calls him in
- 26:39Speaker 1: ballet where they like hop or leaps.
- 26:41Speaker 3: I it's leaps. Dad watched my leaps.
- 26:43Speaker 1: And she's just got those little focus fakes on.
- 26:45Speaker 3: She's just leaping in the kitchen.
- 26:46Speaker 1: I'm just like, oh my god, that I watch, Oh
- 26:51Speaker 1: that I watched ooh, And I'm just having a shame.
- 26:53Speaker 1: But it's always Dead out Watch. Sweete. I've watched you
- 26:56Speaker 1: four times. Can I finish making breakfast? Okay?
- 27:02Speaker 3: All right?
- 27:02Speaker 1: Do you know what?
- 27:03Speaker 3: Do one more? Doing? More? Make this the best one?
- 27:09Speaker 3: Oh my god, dude, I wish I could be a
- 27:11Speaker 3: fly on the wall for stuff. Like that I cannot
- 27:13Speaker 3: wait for Scarlett to be able to start talking. I
- 27:17Speaker 3: cannot wait, dude.
- 27:18Speaker 1: I feel you, And I always stop myself and just
- 27:23Speaker 1: be like, yeah, you can.
- 27:24Speaker 3: Wait, because it flies by, bro.
- 27:28Speaker 1: And you see the parents in the comments and just
- 27:30Speaker 1: talk about how they love the show and they love
- 27:32Speaker 1: hearing the lessons or whatever it is, because time just
- 27:34Speaker 1: flies by. Because I made the comment the other day
- 27:37Speaker 1: like I can't wait for Scotty to get older to
- 27:38Speaker 1: her and Root can play because I know it's going
- 27:40Speaker 1: to be magical. And then Charles like, we can wait,
- 27:47Speaker 1: like we gotta enjoy, like just enjoy Scotty Army crawling
- 27:51Speaker 1: around right now. I like to think she's like, oh, Papa,
- 27:54Speaker 1: Team six, I got crawls because she's not crawling yet.
- 27:57Speaker 1: She'll like get up to her hands and knees and
- 27:59Speaker 1: kind of like like rock back and forth.
- 28:01Speaker 3: Oh you about the girl, and then she'll go back.
- 28:02Speaker 1: Down to the tummy and just her little left foot
- 28:04Speaker 1: and right arm and she just goes.
- 28:06Speaker 3: Bro.
- 28:07Speaker 1: She's got a nice little pivot, nice little pivot foot. Okay,
- 28:10Speaker 1: but you say like I can't wait, and it's you
- 28:13Speaker 1: just gotta remind yourself you enjoy it man.
- 28:15Speaker 3: Yeah, because it flies.
- 28:17Speaker 1: We got this stupid picture frame, not stupid. I love
- 28:20Speaker 1: the picture frame. But it's connected to your phone, so
- 28:22Speaker 1: it's like digital and shows all of our family photos.
- 28:24Speaker 1: That's sick and so you just see h great survival kid.
- 28:27Speaker 1: That's actually my survival kid.
- 28:28Speaker 3: Shout out okay.
- 28:29Speaker 1: Is a little digital picture frame that connects to an album,
- 28:32Speaker 1: so it's just like running photos. But we just we
- 28:34Speaker 1: see all the old photos of Ruin. I'm just like,
- 28:36Speaker 1: I missed that little girl.
- 28:37Speaker 3: So she's still.
- 28:38Speaker 1: Little, like she's still three years old, and we got time,
- 28:40Speaker 1: but she's going to school this month, and I'm like,
- 28:43Speaker 1: I know I'm gonna take it harder than she does
- 28:45Speaker 1: her mom. We're gonna take it hard, way harder than
- 28:47Speaker 1: she does. But it's like, God, her little chubby cheeks
- 28:51Speaker 1: at those early ages. Just God, enjoy every second. Bro,
- 28:55Speaker 1: do your best, because I know it's fucking hard. Right now,

- 30:10Speaker 3: I'm Gonna be a wreck. Dude, I'm gonna be a wreck.
- 30:13Speaker 3: It already is starting to happen. Of like, because Scarlett
- 30:16Speaker 3: was so small when she came out. She was five
- 30:18Speaker 3: pounds six ounces. Yeah, and so were little hands and feet.
- 30:22Speaker 3: They look huge. That's the first thing everybody says. They're like, whoa,
- 30:25Speaker 3: we're hands and feet are like long and stuff. And
- 30:27Speaker 3: it's like, well, yeah, because she doesn't have the cherub
- 30:30Speaker 3: chubby hands yet. Yeah, I'm starting to see it in
- 30:34Speaker 3: her hands now, dude. As she's growing like her she's
- 30:37Speaker 3: kind of fluffing up and I'm like, damn, you're growing fast.
- 30:41Speaker 3: You're growing fast. I just got to stay locked in.
- 30:44Speaker 1: I know my boy who have vacations with. He's my
- 30:46Speaker 1: best man in my wedding, like my best friend growing up.
- 30:48Speaker 1: I like to think of a first generation best friend
- 30:51Speaker 1: nick maybe yeah, nick O g Og, Like he's one
- 30:55Speaker 1: of my first friends I ever had because we went
- 30:57Speaker 1: through like first communion together and then we were in
- 31:00Speaker 1: the same pod and classrooms. Uh, travel with him a
- 31:03Speaker 1: baseball But one of my first friends ever was.
- 31:05Speaker 3: He good friends with Buddy with the Killer Basement.

- 31:17Speaker 1: the crew right there, Oh Logan. Yeah, any tier ones listening, Yeah,
- 31:22Speaker 1: for Tier Ones a bus and they know the they
- 31:24Speaker 1: know the Lure Logan. But yeah, me Nick Logan, John
- 31:30Speaker 1: Chuck like we had a squad man. But anyway, he
- 31:33Speaker 1: was telling me like, uh, he reminds himself like when
- 31:36Speaker 1: he's like putting he has Grady, who's like a year
- 31:38Speaker 1: and a half, Like he's putting the little one down,
- 31:40Speaker 1: he might be frustrated. He's like, I just stare at
- 31:41Speaker 1: his little hands, dude, and it's just like a reminder
- 31:44Speaker 1: of them just how little and innocent and everything they are.
- 31:47Speaker 3: Because when they're just going.
- 31:48Speaker 1: To sleep on you and you're just staring at their hands,
- 31:50Speaker 1: their little feet, and you're just hearing the little breathing noises,
- 31:53Speaker 1: drinking the milk, try to capture it. I wish there
- 31:57Speaker 1: was a bottle you could just It's also they're all like,
- 32:00Speaker 1: I'll just video Scottie. I would with Rue, just like
- 32:03Speaker 1: sleeping and trying to like capture the little noises, and like, man,
- 32:06Speaker 1: I'm gonna weep one day looking at these videos, just
- 32:09Speaker 1: wishing they were this small again.
- 32:10Speaker 3: I caught her. She's not actually smiling, and I mean
- 32:13Speaker 3: she is smiling in this photo. But I caught her smiling.
- 32:16Speaker 3: That's a good one. That's a good one. It was
- 32:19Speaker 3: pretty good. I'll send it to chef. But I caught
- 32:21Speaker 3: Scarlett smiling. That's her, Like yo, I just pushed a
- 32:25Speaker 3: ship out. I was gonna say, yeah, just like that,
- 32:29Speaker 3: milk just ram through this little body. Damn just shitted
- 32:35Speaker 3: on him and she did. Well we'll find out later. Sorry,
- 32:38Speaker 3: keep going with Nick.
- 32:39Speaker 1: That was it?
- 32:40Speaker 3: Oh, that was it. That was it.
- 32:41Speaker 1: Just a joys like you. So you brought the small
- 32:43Speaker 1: hands and it made me think, like Nick was telling
- 32:45Speaker 1: me that, I'm like, no, bro, it's time just flies?
- 32:48Speaker 3: Man?
- 32:49Speaker 1: Can time flies?
- 32:50Speaker 3: Can I ask a selfish question?
- 32:51Speaker 1: Absolutely? Puppa Team six?
- 32:53Speaker 3: Did I come up at all with Nick about the
- 32:56Speaker 3: record button? I let him down? No, because you know
- 33:00Speaker 3: Nick loves you. I told him.
- 33:01Speaker 1: He texted me after the first episode, says, I love
- 33:03Speaker 1: the new for the Dad's podcast. Sure might be my
- 33:05Speaker 1: favorite podcaster. Well you know he might be your second, right,
- 33:08Speaker 1: Oh buddy, I didn't even make his top five, But
- 33:11Speaker 1: he loves you. Big fan of yours, he told me
- 33:14Speaker 1: to cut you some slack?
- 33:15Speaker 3: Did he really?
- 33:16Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 33:16Speaker 3: And I thought I did the best job I could
- 33:19Speaker 3: in the moment you did, I thought I did the
- 33:21Speaker 3: best job I could. I fully agree, fully agree. As
- 33:25Speaker 3: we discussed on Busting with the boys, and I did
- 33:28Speaker 3: not do a good job of shouting out this show,
- 33:30Speaker 3: I'm busting with the boys. That is on me.
- 33:33Speaker 1: Yeah, it's you know, shoomless shout out, shameless plug. It's
- 33:36Speaker 1: a bigger audience.
- 33:38Speaker 3: Yeah, big audiences. We gotta grow.
- 33:39Speaker 1: We gotta grow. We need pop a team six members.
- 33:41Speaker 1: We need the moms, dads, everybody that enjoys his show
- 33:44Speaker 1: in this podcast. Yeah, you need a dish himunt in
- 33:46Speaker 1: your group chats. You need to comment, share and do
- 33:48Speaker 1: all the fun stuff to get this to build the
- 33:51Speaker 1: brain awareness truly, because even though you say, you know, say,
- 33:55Speaker 1: it gets a lot of reach. However it packs in
- 33:57Speaker 1: whatever the median is. Where it packs in. We know
- 34:00Speaker 1: who's tuned in, who's about Papa Team six? And for
- 34:04Speaker 1: the dads like that's you know, I digress, We both do.
- 34:08Speaker 3: Yeah, did you have any other comments that stuck out
- 34:11Speaker 3: to you? I really quick, great, great iron Gilly Sure
- 34:15Speaker 3: come on, dog forgetting to push the record button is
- 34:17Speaker 3: a total boofer move, not mad, just disappointed. Great callback
- 34:23Speaker 3: by great iron Gilly.
- 34:24Speaker 1: And great comment just to let you know like he's
- 34:26Speaker 1: thinking about you, he's rooting for you. Yeah, he just disappointed.
- 34:30Speaker 1: He's like, you don't operate that way. I know you.
- 34:33Speaker 1: You're better than that.
- 34:35Speaker 3: Also, I've been seeing a lot of comments of Sherman
- 34:38Speaker 3: looks exactly like I thought he would. He looks like
- 34:43Speaker 3: he sounds. And that's just how does that make you?
- 34:46Speaker 3: It makes me?
- 34:47Speaker 1: Let's go in the therapy room. How does that make
- 34:49Speaker 1: you feel?
- 34:49Speaker 3: It makes me laugh? Dude, it's somebody ride under that
- 34:52Speaker 3: comment and a jiff of Matt Stafford waving.
- 34:56Speaker 1: Oh bro, when they say fat Stafford on the internet,
- 34:59Speaker 1: that is my true my favorite.
- 35:01Speaker 3: And when the beard grows out for him and me,
- 35:04Speaker 3: it does like fat Stafford begins to become a thing. Yeah,
- 35:08Speaker 3: so I love it. The comments were great this.
- 35:10Speaker 1: Week, top dude. The comments are my favorite, Bro, Denny May,
- 35:15Speaker 1: this is a wife, This is a mom.
- 35:17Speaker 3: God, shut out the mode.
- 35:20Speaker 1: Hang on, let's hear it.
- 35:23Speaker 3: T Okay, she's not a mom yet? Oh right now?
- 35:27Speaker 1: Her body's building milk Team six Team minus seventeen days
- 35:32Speaker 1: until we become first time parents over here to our
- 35:35Speaker 1: baby girl. Love the pod guys, my hubs has me
- 35:38Speaker 1: locked in every Wednesday watching with him such awesome content
- 35:41Speaker 1: you are putting out in such great community you're building.
- 35:44Speaker 1: It's made my husband even more excited to be joining
- 35:47Speaker 1: Papa Team six. Does that not warm your heart and
- 35:50Speaker 1: make you think should we edit out the gooning? Because
- 35:53Speaker 1: she had to witness that, and she might be thinking,
- 35:55Speaker 1: I think, I don't know if I get on board.
- 35:58Speaker 3: I think the gooning is the part that we bring
- 36:01Speaker 3: that most TikTok moms and dads don't break. Yeah, we
- 36:05Speaker 3: bring the gooning.
- 36:05Speaker 1: Yeah, just yeah, just authenticity, just an inside look of
- 36:12Speaker 1: what dads actually talk about and laugh about behind closed doors.
- 36:16Speaker 3: Carlos is just in his car going yeah Jesus Christ.
- 36:19Speaker 1: I mean, and you being the younger version of me
- 36:23Speaker 1: being like in gooning, just jerking off like, oh, let's
- 36:25Speaker 1: look it up on the diction.
- 36:26Speaker 3: I'm like, oh my god, oh yeah, it's the whole thing.
- 36:30Speaker 1: Yeah, the goon berays, the goom berets.
- 36:34Speaker 3: And the boofers. There's a there'll be a PT six boofer.
- 36:38Speaker 1: I do like, so there was a there was a
- 36:40Speaker 1: dad who chimed in Coach Skelley. My one year anniversary
- 36:45Speaker 1: of joining Papa Team six, and I've learned a couple
- 36:47Speaker 1: of things. M So a good lesson from from Papa Skelly.
- 36:52Speaker 1: When you're in the foxhole, strap up that helmet and
- 36:55Speaker 1: keep your head down. But when the bullets stop flying,
- 36:58Speaker 1: make sure you check on mama, because even though you
- 37:01Speaker 1: may have caught some stray bullets, she's looking like Swiss cheese. Two.
- 37:07Speaker 1: Know when you just stepped on a land mine, a
- 37:10Speaker 1: dad loss and go down a hero, say sorry. And three,
- 37:16Speaker 1: the enemy is the only enemy. Wait and three the
- 37:23Speaker 1: enemy is only the enemy for a season. It will
- 37:26Speaker 1: get better. That's it. That's good that, dude.
- 37:32Speaker 3: I like the enemy is only an enemy for like
- 37:35Speaker 3: just right now, because it's already starting with Scarlett of
- 37:39Speaker 3: like I said this last week, the little problems and issues,
- 37:42Speaker 3: Like I feel like there's new problems and issues each week,
- 37:46Speaker 3: but there's other problems in issues from the previous week
- 37:49Speaker 3: that it's like figure that one out, Yeah, got that
- 37:52Speaker 3: one solved, onto the next, let's fuck up something new. Yeah,
- 37:57Speaker 3: it's fun, dude, dude, It's a revolving door of new experiences.
- 38:02Speaker 3: I love it.
- 38:03Speaker 1: Should we we we gotta keep today we we honestly
- 38:05Speaker 1: we got to keep this one under now or get
- 38:07Speaker 1: into our segments. How long have we actually been going
- 38:09Speaker 1: Chef thirty five for real? That's so we're we're pretty
- 38:15Speaker 1: much at the halfway point of the podcast.
- 38:17Speaker 3: We shot last week before we got word that we
- 38:23Speaker 3: were before I went.
- 38:26Speaker 1: And these are the vibes too. Vibes are still great.
- 38:29Speaker 1: Vibes are still great on the episode, but we were
- 38:32Speaker 1: having incredible vibes because we were.
- 38:35Speaker 3: Like, we are right now. Do you want to kick
- 38:37Speaker 3: us off with what? Whatever? You want to kick us off?
- 38:39Speaker 3: I know we usually start with dad losses. Do you
- 38:41Speaker 3: want to crack a cold one first? Switch it up
- 38:46Speaker 3: a little bit.
- 38:47Speaker 1: Dude, I have a lot we can do. Crack a
- 38:49Speaker 1: cold one first, because I got a lot of crack
- 38:50Speaker 1: of cold ones.
- 38:51Speaker 3: You do, dude, go, you go.
- 38:54Speaker 1: Just because we spent a week Saturday to Saturday in Canada,
- 38:58Speaker 1: yep up in bamf can More. We're like, I think
- 39:01Speaker 1: it's called Yoho. But we hit all these different lakes,
- 39:04Speaker 1: Lake Moraine, Lake Louise, Gosh, there's another one, Lake Moraine,
- 39:09Speaker 1: Lake Louise. There's a third one. There's a third one.
- 39:16Speaker 3: They call it Lake Gatorade because that's what it looked like.
- 39:19Speaker 1: Bro Let me hang on. Let me just for those at.
- 39:23Speaker 3: Home or those listening or watching, switch like very quickly
- 39:28Speaker 3: google search Bamp. That's b A n FF Canada, and
- 39:35Speaker 3: oh my god, the views are insane. I mean, Will's
- 39:39Speaker 3: gonna go into it.
- 39:40Speaker 2: Send me some pictures. I'll put them in the episode.
- 39:42Speaker 1: I gotta think of this third lake, this third lake.
- 39:44Speaker 3: I have you keep going on watx poetic just a
- 39:47Speaker 3: little bit. Uh, would shout out to my buddy, Actually,
- 39:50Speaker 3: I forgot to tell you this.
- 39:51Speaker 5: Will.
- 39:52Speaker 3: My buddy Derek was up in Bamp with his mom.
- 39:56Speaker 3: They were playing golf up there at that same resort
- 39:59Speaker 3: that Will was staying at, and uh, a part of me,
- 40:02Speaker 3: I wish that you guys had run into each other
- 40:05Speaker 3: and I got the most epic selfie of all time
- 40:07Speaker 3: from him. It did not happen, But shout out Derek,
- 40:11Speaker 3: who also enjoyed bamf.
- 40:12Speaker 1: Emerald Lake, Emeralds Emerald Lake. So we had Sunshine Meadows, Lake, Moraine,
- 40:17Speaker 1: Lake Louise, Emerald Lake, Johnston Canyon or Johnston Falls Marble Canyon,
- 40:22Speaker 1: Downtown bamf Cascade Garden.
- 40:24Speaker 3: HM.
- 40:25Speaker 1: The trip was unreled, so I have a lot of
- 40:28Speaker 1: crack of cold ones, and my first crack of cold
- 40:30Speaker 1: one is just I was mentioning Nick earlier, Nick being
- 40:33Speaker 1: one of my first friends ever, yeah, and being my
- 40:36Speaker 1: my He's like, he's my best friend.
- 40:38Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 40:39Speaker 1: But getting to go on vacation with him and his
- 40:42Speaker 1: kiddos and his family and seeing like Rue is three
- 40:45Speaker 1: and Hudson is four, and getting to see them play
- 40:48Speaker 1: in their dynamic and just like sitting back with my
- 40:50Speaker 1: boy and just being like, buddy, how crazy is it
- 40:54Speaker 1: that we're thirty five, We're dads with families, a couple
- 40:58Speaker 1: of kiddos and two oldest are playing right now and
- 41:02Speaker 1: getting along.
- 41:03Speaker 3: Getting a long dude. They looked freaking cute. Bro chilling
- 41:08Speaker 3: that one window pick where Ruth's pointing out the window
- 41:10Speaker 3: and Hudson's right next year, Yeah, she's telling.
- 41:13Speaker 1: Him some she was pointing at birds, bro like damn
- 41:20Speaker 1: their homies. And it was so funny because I was
- 41:23Speaker 1: watching for the first time Rue have interest in this boy, Hudson.
- 41:27Speaker 3: Yeah, And it was a true like boy.
- 41:30Speaker 1: Girl dynamic to where Rue was just talking his ear
- 41:32Speaker 1: off and Hudson ain't wanting to talk sometimes a couple
- 41:35Speaker 1: of times and where Ruth's crying and she's like comes over,
- 41:38Speaker 1: like what's wrong, sweetheart. She's like, Hudson doesn't want to
- 41:41Speaker 1: talk to me, and I'm just like, oh, he's just
- 41:43Speaker 1: you know, he's just hanging out. He's just trying to
- 41:45Speaker 1: chill right now and play with his motorcycles. He's trying
- 41:47Speaker 1: to play with this four wheelers and she's bummed that
- 41:50Speaker 1: Hudson doesn't want to talk to him. And it was
- 41:54Speaker 1: just it was so fun to just watch and kind
- 41:57Speaker 1: of like chuckle and laugh and also kind of think, hey, Hudson,
- 42:00Speaker 1: he better tighten your ship up.
- 42:01Speaker 3: Yeah, what the fuck.
- 42:02Speaker 1: Don't be breaking my daughter's heart now, breaking my daughter's
- 42:06Speaker 1: art now that video?
- 42:08Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, keep your hands.
- 42:11Speaker 1: I would talk to him with these like some of
- 42:12Speaker 1: these stern voices at times, because I know him like
- 42:15Speaker 1: we we obviously I've been around him several times, but
- 42:18Speaker 1: it's like he we're not like around each other all
- 42:21Speaker 1: the time to where like when I'm getting my voice
- 42:23Speaker 1: and talking, certainly, he's a got that He's got like
- 42:25Speaker 1: those eyes where he's like what we were at uh,
- 42:29Speaker 1: we were at breakfast and rud drew this or they
- 42:34Speaker 1: set you up, they sit you down, and they give
- 42:37Speaker 1: the kids like coloring sheets. So they're drawing bears and
- 42:40Speaker 1: Rue finishes beautiful, beautiful blue bear, all blue, a little
- 42:45Speaker 1: yellow in it. Yeah, yeah, blue bear. And she wants
- 42:50Speaker 1: to go show Hudson. And this is later in the week,
- 42:53Speaker 1: so I've got a little bit.
- 42:54Speaker 3: Better rapport with Hudson. Yeah yeah, yeah. And I'm like,
- 42:57Speaker 3: go show Hutson, go show him.
- 42:58Speaker 1: And as she's walking over there and go hey, honey,
- 43:00Speaker 1: he looks over and I go, you better tell her
- 43:02Speaker 1: you like it. He's four, he's boorty. He's like looking
- 43:10Speaker 1: down at the table. I'm probably like this far away
- 43:11Speaker 1: from him.
- 43:12Speaker 3: He's like.
- 43:14Speaker 1: And then rub comes over.
- 43:15Speaker 3: She's like, honey, how do you look look at my bear?
- 43:17Speaker 1: And he just goes I like it.
- 43:28Speaker 3: I'm so sorry, Oh my god.
- 43:32Speaker 1: And then like she's still talking here he was talking
- 43:34Speaker 1: and you were talking a million miles and how And
- 43:36Speaker 1: I go, honey, I go tell her she did a
- 43:37Speaker 1: good job.
- 43:39Speaker 3: And he's like, you did a good job. And yone
- 43:44Speaker 3: runs back to me. He likes it.
- 43:45Speaker 1: He likes I know, he does, sweetheart, that's awesome.
- 43:50Speaker 3: Oh my god, dude.
- 43:52Speaker 1: And when they're over there and and that bird photo
- 43:54Speaker 1: that you're talking about, Rude like you can get up
- 43:58Speaker 1: and sit on like that side of the all to
- 44:00Speaker 1: like look out the window. And she's like, Hudson, do
- 44:02Speaker 1: you want to sit up here with me and hold hands?
- 44:05Speaker 1: And we're chuckling and Hudson sitting at the table and
- 44:07Speaker 1: I was like, Hudson, you better get up there. He
- 44:11Speaker 1: doesn't go up there because he's like coloring or doing whatever.
- 44:13Speaker 1: But we're laughing and Charl's like, will are you in
- 44:15Speaker 1: a spot to where you you're more upset? You'd be
- 44:18Speaker 1: more upset that Hudson like holds her hand, and it's
- 44:20Speaker 1: like you know the boy girl dynamic or if he
- 44:22Speaker 1: wouldn't hold her hand. And I'm like, I'm at the
- 44:24Speaker 1: point to where he better get his ass up there
- 44:26Speaker 1: and hold her hand because I don't want her to
- 44:27Speaker 1: be sad.
- 44:28Speaker 3: Yeah, you gotta listen to Rude. You gotta do what
- 44:30Speaker 3: my daughter said.
- 44:31Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, because what I do before when your your
- 44:33Speaker 1: daughter's not around any boys or doing that stuff, and
- 44:35Speaker 1: you're like, oh, they're not gonna date until they're here
- 44:37Speaker 1: they're there, You're like, no boys, no, this, no, that
- 44:40Speaker 1: to where I'm seeing something in real time and I'm
- 44:42Speaker 1: just thinking, hey, Hudson, you better get your little ass
- 44:44Speaker 1: up there and hold her hand.
- 44:46Speaker 3: You're gonna be the dad. Do YO have moms for?
- 44:49Speaker 3: Like I'm coming? Do you know what a mom is?
- 44:50Speaker 1: A mom?
- 44:51Speaker 3: Those big flowers? Do you do you have moms?
- 44:54Speaker 1: No big flowers?
- 44:56Speaker 3: I know it's like a Texas thing, but it's like
- 44:57Speaker 3: flowers made out of ribbons. It's a big fucking deal
- 45:02Speaker 3: for any Texas listeners or Arkansas and Oklahoma. I think
- 45:05Speaker 3: that moms too. But if you were my date, Will,
- 45:10Speaker 3: I would get this big old honking mom that says
- 45:14Speaker 3: your name on it says Will, and it's in our
- 45:17Speaker 3: school colors, and you would wear that to the homecoming game.
- 45:20Speaker 3: And since I got you a really big one, it's
- 45:22Speaker 3: basically an engagement ring for high schoolers, if that makes sense.
- 45:27Speaker 3: Will would be the dad that goes up to the
- 45:30Speaker 3: boyfriend two weeks before homecoming and slips them one hundred.
- 45:33Speaker 3: And that would be fucking big, big, And you know
- 45:37Speaker 3: what I'm talking about.
- 45:40Speaker 1: I don't know how I'm gonna handle dating. I really
- 45:42Speaker 1: don't I would love to get put on any parenting
- 45:45Speaker 1: books about prepping for it, because I want to say
- 45:50Speaker 1: I would love to reenact The Bad Boys too. Will Smith,
- 45:53Speaker 1: Martin Lawrence coming up, answering the door just so you
- 45:57Speaker 1: get a gun out. Huh you smoke that shit?
- 46:00Speaker 3: You smoking, don't you? You're high right now?
- 46:03Speaker 1: Yeah, hey, you better have her home by ten. Ain't
- 46:06Speaker 1: gonna be no in the night. My homies roll out,
- 46:10Speaker 1: Ludacris playing in the background.
- 46:12Speaker 3: He's just the entire time it says, yeah, yes, sir.
- 46:15Speaker 1: I'm sorry. He just got out of prison.
- 46:17Speaker 3: I just got out of jail, and I ain't going back.
- 46:19Speaker 1: I ain't going back.
- 46:24Speaker 3: What he said?
- 46:25Speaker 1: You ever made love to him? Man, No, sir, you
- 46:27Speaker 1: want to dude, that guy won't be chitty chitty bang
- 46:31Speaker 1: bang that guy's face. I hope everybody watching has seen
- 46:36Speaker 1: Bad Boys do. That scene is iconic. If not, go
- 46:38Speaker 1: watch it on you That scene on.
- 46:39Speaker 3: YouTube right now. Such a good scene. Dude. Oh where
- 46:43Speaker 3: was I going? The dating?
- 46:44Speaker 1: Oh the dating.
- 46:45Speaker 3: Literature that you want to get into.
- 46:47Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't know what I'm gonna do. I think
- 46:50Speaker 1: that any boy that she probably dates, I'm just gonna
- 46:52Speaker 1: have like a good one on one talk with this gentleman.
- 46:57Speaker 3: That'd be sick.
- 46:57Speaker 1: Dude, give everybody the benefit of doubt. I'm sure I'll
- 47:00Speaker 1: do a first you know, first one off the bus.
- 47:02Speaker 1: What they look like when they come off the bus,
- 47:03Speaker 1: what I think of I'll probably prejudge him a little bit. However,
- 47:06Speaker 1: I think I'll just sit him down, man the man,
- 47:08Speaker 1: and just essentially let them know how important my daughter
- 47:12Speaker 1: is to me and her mom in there, and more
- 47:18Speaker 1: of like a respect conversation, so that way he can
- 47:20Speaker 1: at least feel my voice, I guess, feel my energy,
- 47:25Speaker 1: feel my I don't know like what she means to me.
- 47:30Speaker 3: Can I tell you our chef's got something too, and
- 47:33Speaker 3: that I got some I got a.
- 47:34Speaker 2: Good one for you real quick.
- 47:35Speaker 4: This happened to a good friend of mine when he
- 47:36Speaker 4: first met his girlfriend's parents.
- 47:40Speaker 2: They talked and it was all great. Sorry, and as
- 47:44Speaker 2: he was walking out.
- 47:45Speaker 1: Come on, clear, clear, clear throat.
- 47:47Speaker 3: Chef's got it. He's got you got I'm sorry. Good show,
- 47:53Speaker 3: it's a kid, good show. Moms are watching.
- 47:56Speaker 4: As he was leaving, the dad goes, hey, wait one
- 47:59Speaker 4: second and rosen something in the air.
- 48:01Speaker 2: My buddy catches it. He looks in his hand and
- 48:03Speaker 2: it's a shotgun.
- 48:04Speaker 4: Shillcues you see that, and he goes yeah, and he
- 48:06Speaker 4: goes comes at you a lot faster when you're running
- 48:09Speaker 4: off my front lawn.
- 48:10Speaker 2: He's like, don't be a jackass.
- 48:13Speaker 1: See that's a good fear tactic.
- 48:14Speaker 3: That's a good fear tactic.
- 48:15Speaker 1: I want to do fear tactics, but I almost want
- 48:18Speaker 1: him to know the respect level that he's going to
- 48:20Speaker 1: have for not only my daughter but for us.
- 48:23Speaker 3: I have a really, really good one. It has stuck
- 48:26Speaker 3: with me my entire life. I so, first off, shout
- 48:30Speaker 3: out Coach Wright. He was a coach at Aledo. This
- 48:33Speaker 3: dude is such a fucking sicko. By the way, I
- 48:35Speaker 3: can't believe I haven't told you about Coach Right. He
- 48:38Speaker 3: would get the Alito logo branded on his arm every
- 48:42Speaker 3: state championship that they would win. He said, every state
- 48:45Speaker 3: championship that we win, I'll make a custom Alito logo
- 48:48Speaker 3: and I'll brand myself. And they would do it in
- 48:51Speaker 3: the Cowboys Stadium locker room after the state championship. He
- 48:55Speaker 3: would let the kids go in there with the brand
- 48:57Speaker 3: and hold on. This dude's a psychopath in the best way.
- 49:00Speaker 3: Possible had a daughter two grades below me. She played soccer.
- 49:05Speaker 3: The boys and girls team were very close with each
- 49:07Speaker 3: other in high school. And all the boys and girls
- 49:11Speaker 3: are going to the same place. Where are going to
- 49:13Speaker 3: like Buffalo Wild Wings or something. She happens to be
- 49:15Speaker 3: riding in my car. I get a text, or I
- 49:18Speaker 3: get a call later that day from an unknown number.
- 49:21Speaker 3: I answer it, Sherman, this is coach right, hey, coach, yeah,
- 49:26Speaker 3: blah blah. I hear my daughter is gonna be riding
- 49:28Speaker 3: in your vehicle today. I go, yes, sir, goes. I
- 49:32Speaker 3: want to tell you something. Her life has been in
- 49:35Speaker 3: my hands, my entire life. It's been in my hands,
- 49:40Speaker 3: and she's now getting in your vehicle. Her life is
- 49:44Speaker 3: in your hands when you're driving my daughter around, and
- 49:47Speaker 3: you got that. I go yes, sir, and he goes,
- 49:49Speaker 3: I like you. You're a good kid. I know that
- 49:52Speaker 3: you're gonna be safe when you're driving. You're gonna make
- 49:54Speaker 3: sure everybody's gonna have their seatbelt on. Blah blah blah, Yes, sir, Yes, sir,
- 49:58Speaker 3: All right, Sherman, I'll have fun. Hangs up on me.
- 50:01Speaker 3: I was like, I like that, man, Yo. It scared
- 50:05Speaker 3: the fuck out of me. But he didn't say anything scary.
- 50:07Speaker 3: You didn't threaten me, right, but it's scared the fuck
- 50:10Speaker 3: at me. And dude, I was ten into that entire
- 50:12Speaker 3: I have never driven safer in my life because I
- 50:16Speaker 3: had his daughter in my hands at that moment. Yeah,
- 50:19Speaker 3: it was awesome.
- 50:20Speaker 1: I love that because it's almost too like I'm trying
- 50:22Speaker 1: to picture if if I'm getting a phone call like that,
- 50:24Speaker 1: or you're having a conversation like that, it's like you're
- 50:27Speaker 1: also being made aware that dad is also going to
- 50:30Speaker 1: have a relationship with you, Like he's going to communicate
- 50:32Speaker 1: to you, yes, like one on one, like we'll be
- 50:35Speaker 1: able to talk about this and then also, hey, have
- 50:37Speaker 1: a great night tonight.
- 50:38Speaker 3: Oh yeah, and I'm sure that daughter was probably like
- 50:42Speaker 3: you know, because he had to have asked somebody for
- 50:44Speaker 3: my number. Yeah, like I didn't have his number. He
- 50:47Speaker 3: was my coach.
- 50:48Speaker 4: Like.
- 50:48Speaker 1: I love too that he walked you through. I know
- 50:49Speaker 1: you're gonna have everybody's seat build on.
- 50:51Speaker 3: Oh yeah, oh dude.
- 50:53Speaker 1: He was usually no, you know the male brain, you
- 50:55Speaker 1: know how we operate. Yeah yeah, high school college like animals, bro, Yes, dude,
- 51:02Speaker 1: And so those thoughts always kind of you know, they
- 51:04Speaker 1: come into my brain. Another he in The Strong Father's
- 51:06Speaker 1: Strong Daughters. There's a story of the author. I don't
- 51:10Speaker 1: know if it was her dad or she was like
- 51:11Speaker 1: telling a story. But say you're supposed to be home
- 51:14Speaker 1: by ten o'clock, around like nine point fifty, her dad
- 51:18Speaker 1: or the dad would go outside and start doing yard work.
- 51:20Speaker 1: So that way when they pulled in, ain't gonna be
- 51:23Speaker 1: no funny business taking a little extra long in that
- 51:25Speaker 1: in that driveway. Dad just gonna be out there just
- 51:27Speaker 1: doing nothing until she walks in and you know, you
- 51:30Speaker 1: give it a little wave goodbye. You know what I'm talking about.
- 51:33Speaker 1: You pull in, bro, Hey, we got ten minutes to kill.
- 51:36Speaker 1: I had a good time tonight.
- 51:39Speaker 3: Dad comes everybody you know and get some smooching going on.
- 51:42Speaker 1: Next thing, you.
- 51:42Speaker 3: Know, dad's got shovel over his shoulders.
- 51:45Speaker 1: Yeah, you pull in and see Dad out there working shit.
- 51:50Speaker 1: So I like that technique.
- 51:51Speaker 3: You're gonna be such a good dad for that. Like
- 51:54Speaker 3: prom night pickup. I want to be at the Compton
- 51:57Speaker 3: Household for prom night pickup. You just answering the door.
- 52:02Speaker 3: Yeah you got Oh you got her caressage. It's a
- 52:04Speaker 3: nice looking carissage.
- 52:06Speaker 1: I got her one too. Just pull out a bigger one.
- 52:11Speaker 3: And that's the word I was looking for. Mom's kind
- 52:13Speaker 3: of like a caressage but made of ribbons. Okay, saying
- 52:18Speaker 3: on cracker cold one, Yeah, sang on crack. Did you
- 52:21Speaker 3: have more?
- 52:22Speaker 1: I could talk about Canada all day long.
- 52:23Speaker 3: Yeah. So you go ahead and knock out your cracker
- 52:25Speaker 3: cold one. Okay, cracker cold one. We're crib training, so
- 52:30Speaker 3: we have the sleep schedule of Moms on Call, which
- 52:34Speaker 3: is a book very similar to twelve Hours and twelve Weeks.
- 52:39Speaker 3: You and I texted briefly about this. Will and Taylor,
- 52:44Speaker 3: uh like very kindly as part of my uh paternity
- 52:50Speaker 3: leave here at Busting because I am still coming in
- 52:52Speaker 3: like twice a week. Yeah.
- 52:54Speaker 4: Uh.
- 52:54Speaker 3: They included a night nurse, uh for the days that
- 52:58Speaker 3: I come into the office, I think, and can have
- 53:00Speaker 3: a night nurse that night. It just so happened that
- 53:03Speaker 3: that Mom's on Call book, the night nurse that we
- 53:07Speaker 3: had won whatever that was like Wednesday or Thursday night,
- 53:13Speaker 3: comes over and we find out.
- 53:14Speaker 1: That she used to be.
- 53:17Speaker 3: A not a client, but you're a It starts with
- 53:20Speaker 3: the C you're helping people. You're a consult coach, a consultant, coach.
- 53:28Speaker 3: You know what it was, actually coach. I was looking
- 53:30Speaker 3: for it. You're right, I think it's funnier that it's consultant.
- 53:34Speaker 3: I'm just coach coach. But she was a consultant as
- 53:37Speaker 3: well as a coach because she would help people with
- 53:40Speaker 3: this book and anyway she comes in. Her name's Rebecca.
- 53:44Speaker 3: Shout out Rebecca so sweet an employee of Carla's. Shout
- 53:49Speaker 3: out Carla. But yeah, dude, I mean she was like
- 53:53Speaker 3: the earlier that you start, I saw that you'll have
- 53:55Speaker 3: moms on call, y'all doing that. What's y'all's nightly routine. Yeah,
- 53:59Speaker 3: we want to get in into moms on call, and
- 54:01Speaker 3: we want to start with the zero to three weeks plan.
- 54:04Speaker 3: The sooner that you get her on it, the better.
- 54:07Speaker 3: I think the zero to three weeks, like you know,
- 54:10Speaker 3: there will be some little pains and this and that,
- 54:12Speaker 3: but you get her on it, she's going to adhere
- 54:14Speaker 3: to it faster. This is why kind of broke down
- 54:17Speaker 3: the signs to us. Mean, oh, dude, Jill and I
- 54:22Speaker 3: are sleeping in the same bed and like able to
- 54:25Speaker 3: just without a night nurse because now I can come
- 54:28Speaker 3: back and lay in bed with Jill and have Scarlett
- 54:32Speaker 3: on the monitor, and Scarlet's taken to the crib very
- 54:37Speaker 3: very well, which is to be respected you Yeah, yeah,
- 54:43Speaker 3: it is to be expected with the younger ones because
- 54:45Speaker 3: they still don't really know what's going on.
- 54:47Speaker 1: But you're still like I for everybody listening and talk.
- 54:50Speaker 1: You know, if you're into sleep training, there's a lot
- 54:52Speaker 1: of different methods out there. Yeah, you talk about a
- 54:54Speaker 1: book called Mom's on Call Call. I know, I've referenced
- 54:56Speaker 1: twelve hours by twelve weeks or twelve hours and twelve weeks. Yeah,
- 54:59Speaker 1: there's a lot of differ methods, but a lot of
- 55:01Speaker 1: it if you like dive into all that stuff. It's
- 55:03Speaker 1: just like the routine of them knowing their environment. You know,
- 55:06Speaker 1: when the curtains close, you put them on the changing table,
- 55:09Speaker 1: you start changing their diapers, slip them into their pj's.
- 55:12Speaker 1: You're closing the curtains, you're turning on the sleep the
- 55:15Speaker 1: seal machine, you're reading, whether you have a night lamp
- 55:18Speaker 1: next to you, and you're sitting there feeding in the bottle,
- 55:20Speaker 1: and you got some go to books that you read.
- 55:22Speaker 1: You're like training their mindset to know, hey, it's time
- 55:25Speaker 1: to This is when we start winding down and going
- 55:26Speaker 1: to bed, and which is different from like a nap.
- 55:29Speaker 1: Like you know, you'll train also doing nap time, but
- 55:32Speaker 1: like again, it's like getting all of their surroundings and
- 55:34Speaker 1: environment right to where their brain starts to figure out, Hey,
- 55:38Speaker 1: this is when it's time to rest, this is when
- 55:40Speaker 1: it's time for bedtime.
- 55:41Speaker 3: This is your final feed, this is big feed beforetime. Yeah,
- 55:45Speaker 3: like it was so cool. I don't want to spoil
- 55:48Speaker 3: my dad loss because it is a fun one. But
- 55:53Speaker 3: you'll see in that story. Initially, Scarlett was in the
- 55:58Speaker 3: basinette with us in our room, very fussy, very very
- 56:03Speaker 3: fussy in the bacinet and we had been doing the
- 56:05Speaker 3: crib training before that. Mom was a little worried you'll
- 56:08Speaker 3: find out later why, so she wanted to keep a
- 56:10Speaker 3: close eye on Scarlet, so we had her in bacinet.
- 56:13Speaker 3: She's fussy, she's fussy. Jill falls asleep. I go do
- 56:17Speaker 3: my first change on night shift, and I just thought
- 56:19Speaker 3: to myself, Hey, I'm gonna help Jill get some sleep
- 56:23Speaker 3: and get some rest. Let's try the crib and I'll
- 56:26Speaker 3: keep a close eye on Scarlet on the monitor and
- 56:31Speaker 3: bro it you could see the difference in scarlet. Once
- 56:34Speaker 3: she got the sleepsack on and I put her in
- 56:36Speaker 3: the crib, she was like, this is the spot where
- 56:40Speaker 3: I sleep, Like, this is the spot where I'm comfortable.
- 56:43Speaker 3: This is the sounds and like it. Dude, it was cool.
- 56:47Speaker 3: And that's after like four nights. Yeah, but you could
- 56:50Speaker 3: tell that there was a major difference of bacinett. What
- 56:54Speaker 3: the hell is this? I want to be in that
- 56:55Speaker 3: shit crib? Oh hell yeah, this is yes, right, it
- 57:01Speaker 3: was awesome.
- 57:02Speaker 1: And two it's like there are babies that do just
- 57:04Speaker 1: fine in the bastin that there are I wanted like
- 57:07Speaker 1: my mom because I remember I was like six or seven.
- 57:11Speaker 1: I was six when White was born, and I just
- 57:13Speaker 1: always remember like we slept not in a bassinet, but
- 57:16Speaker 1: just a close hamper next to the bed. I love that,
- 57:20Speaker 1: I know, like one of them wide you go to
- 57:22Speaker 1: the ground wide close hampers and we just slept next
- 57:24Speaker 1: to the bed. But there are babies that do well.
- 57:27Speaker 1: It's just every baby is different. You figure it out
- 57:30Speaker 1: like as you're going in. But I like, I know,
- 57:33Speaker 1: like myself, my wife too, It's like you you like
- 57:35Speaker 1: to have some kind of plan going into something, and
- 57:38Speaker 1: then if you got to deviate. You dev eight, but
- 57:39Speaker 1: at least you understand a toolbox by these methods, like
- 57:42Speaker 1: when there's times to deviate when and not make something
- 57:45Speaker 1: a habit. I love that though. That fires me up.
- 57:48Speaker 1: Have you tried, like a dad lost mind? Have you
- 57:50Speaker 1: tried putting that stuffed animal in the crib?
- 57:53Speaker 3: Nor do I need to? No?
- 57:56Speaker 1: No, Well I was supposed to say, like I put
- 57:58Speaker 1: a little stuffed animal on there and try. Yeah, Charles
- 58:01Speaker 1: c on the monitor, you.
- 58:01Speaker 3: Got stuff that. Yeah, I thought you. I thought she's
- 58:03Speaker 3: like a stuffed animal. She's like sweeter.
- 58:04Speaker 1: You can't put nothing in the crib when they're this little.
- 58:07Speaker 1: Oh he like goes upstairs and like, shit, I did
- 58:10Speaker 1: well just being she liked this line. I got her
- 58:13Speaker 1: being married to a nurse. That stuff was ingrand beforehand. Yeah,
- 58:18Speaker 1: like I know that that's so off limits, it's not
- 58:20Speaker 1: even funny. Yeah, I do not mess with if I
- 58:23Speaker 1: put a little uh bird cloth over the thing. But
- 58:26Speaker 1: to the point to where she's her arms are now
- 58:28Speaker 1: out and she can kind of move around and kind
- 58:29Speaker 1: of grab stuff, So you can't have something hanging on
- 58:31Speaker 1: the crib.
- 58:32Speaker 2: Why is that suffocate It's.
- 58:33Speaker 1: Like Sid's like if they were to get trapped or
- 58:35Speaker 1: caught to where they can't. Like Scarlet's young enough, she's
- 58:38Speaker 1: probably not able to, like roll over on her own.
- 58:41Speaker 1: It's like if she does and be like, oh shit,
- 58:42Speaker 1: she rolled over on her own. But a lot of
- 58:44Speaker 1: babies are not able to. If they get in that
- 58:46Speaker 1: spot and there's something stuffed in their face, it can
- 58:48Speaker 1: suffocate them.
- 58:49Speaker 3: And SID stands for sudden infant uh death syndrome, which
- 58:53Speaker 3: is basically them passing away in their sleep.
- 58:56Speaker 1: Right, So a lot of times, all the times you'll see,
- 58:59Speaker 1: like when you have your first kid, like they'll be
- 59:02Speaker 1: in the crib or they'll be wherever they're at basting,
- 59:05Speaker 1: that crib doesn't matter and there just won't be anything
- 59:07Speaker 1: in there because they're laying on their back. You don't
- 59:10Speaker 1: want them to risk any like there won't be any
- 59:11Speaker 1: pillow or nothing like that. We interrupt this episode because
- 59:15Speaker 1: Busting with the Boys has a big announcements there. We
- 59:18Speaker 1: are going to be in Lincoln, Nebraska on September nineteenth,
- 59:22Speaker 1: my birthday, my birthday. Now for the biggest rivalry weekend,
- 59:27Speaker 1: a rivalry rivalry weekend of the season. The Michigan Wolverines
- 59:32Speaker 1: at the Nebraska Cornhuskers, the Boys Bustle with the Boys.
- 59:35Speaker 1: We will be doing a live show, food, drink, special guests,
- 59:38Speaker 1: the whole, the Whole Kit and Kaboodle. We will be
- 59:41Speaker 1: live and pre sale tickets are live right now at
- 59:44Speaker 1: rococotheater dot com and use code the Boys to access
- 59:48Speaker 1: these pre sale tickets live. Is that correct, Clump? Did
- 59:52Speaker 1: I say that correctly? Rococotheater dot com. Use code the
- 59:57Speaker 1: Boys to get your pre sale tickets now. Because the
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: Boys again will be in Lincoln, Nebraska September nineteenth, my
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: birthday for Michigan at Nebraska. Go shop, go, buy, go,
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: get the tickets.
- 1:00:11Speaker 3: Because even it's funny, dude, like even Scarlett in her
- 1:00:14Speaker 3: environment like with the passy. Right now, we'll put her
- 1:00:18Speaker 3: in with the passy. Which is a big difference between
- 1:00:21Speaker 3: twelve weeks and or twelve hours and twelve weeks and
- 1:00:25Speaker 3: moms on call is that they mom's on call allows
- 1:00:27Speaker 3: a passifire.
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: We allow, I mean roue had a passing until three.
- 1:00:31Speaker 3: Oh well then there you go like, yeah, I knew that, Yeah,
- 1:00:34Speaker 3: I knew that.
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: And like Scotty will have this woman up. She's not
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: a big passy gal, which fires me. Up because she's
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: does she just doesn't mess with PASSI she's not about it. Yeah,
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: because we tried to do that for her to help
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: self souons because they can grab these webinoves like the
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: little mini stuffed animals and they have a little passifar
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: on the end. Yes, but even Rue still has Tiger.
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: Tiger was a webinub, just doesn't have the passing up
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: there anymore because it fell off because it's just getting
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: you know, just getting raggedy and tossed around, and the
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: pass he fell off at some point. But it's like
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: the self soothing just have like a little stuffed Tigi's them.
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: I love it.
- 1:01:02Speaker 3: Talk to Tigy so much. I got to talk to
- 1:01:05Speaker 3: Tige all that to say, very excited about the crib training.
- 1:01:13Speaker 3: Thank you. I mean, Jill would have gotten on the
- 1:01:15Speaker 3: sleep schedule stuff anyways, because that's Jill. But thank you
- 1:01:20Speaker 3: for being so on it with the twelve day or
- 1:01:22Speaker 3: twelve hours and twelve weeks because it did kind of
- 1:01:26Speaker 3: reinforce like, oh, this is important. But I'm seeing the
- 1:01:29Speaker 3: benefits of the importance of like giving me time, giving
- 1:01:34Speaker 3: Jill time, building structure now like it's ingrained in my
- 1:01:39Speaker 3: head Okay, nine o'clock's coming around, so we'll do that
- 1:01:42Speaker 3: final feed and then you're just.
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: In the know too. Like a lot of it was like, hey,
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: do this, you should do this, but it's like for
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: dads out there listening. One way to like you'll have
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: a massive win with your partner is you digesting a
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: book on like whether it's sleep training or sleep schedule.
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: Because a lot of times moms kind of they're the
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: they're the pioneer, they're the ones leading the charge, and
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: they're kind of teaching you why it is and you're
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: kind of like learning on the fly, versus if you're
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: on the same page and you understand a little bit
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: as well, it puts a massive stresser off of them because.
- 1:02:10Speaker 3: They know you're in it with them. Yes, dude, Also
- 1:02:14Speaker 3: really quick, this is my dad hap for the week.
- 1:02:17Speaker 3: Actually it doesn't. It's a bonus hack. Rebecca was burping
- 1:02:21Speaker 3: Scarlet like we were doing like this style of burping.
- 1:02:25Speaker 3: The night nurse like set Scarlett up on her leg
- 1:02:29Speaker 3: and started just moving her in circles like this, and
- 1:02:33Speaker 3: like with the butt, like Scarlet's butts right here, and
- 1:02:36Speaker 3: she's just kind of like rotating Scarlet around she's burping
- 1:02:40Speaker 3: like crazy. Dude, it's so sick. I haven't heard of
- 1:02:44Speaker 3: that one. That's a good one. Okay, I got I'll
- 1:02:46Speaker 3: send you a video kill video.
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: Have you dine the motorcycle? You have to get farts out?
- 1:02:50Speaker 3: Yeah, Jill does. That's so fun.
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: You get him the motorcycle legs and then push on
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: their something. Oh, you got a little guests in there.
- 1:02:57Speaker 3: You know that you can do that with full grown adults. No,
- 1:03:01Speaker 3: they do it in the hospital all the time. Jill
- 1:03:03Speaker 3: taught me how to do it. Oh, you literally like
- 1:03:06Speaker 3: this is such bad radio. But like you make a ball,
- 1:03:09Speaker 3: you make a fish, and you rub on the top
- 1:03:12Speaker 3: of the intestine and then down the side of the
- 1:03:14Speaker 3: intestine and then across again over by the belly button
- 1:03:17Speaker 3: of the bottom intestine, and then get both legs and
- 1:03:20Speaker 3: push in, pull out, push in, pull out. Repeat that.
- 1:03:24Speaker 3: If you're ever gassing and feel like shit, dude, you
- 1:03:27Speaker 3: will start.
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: We should make each other far too. We should make
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: each other far for a social video.
- 1:03:32Speaker 3: I'll do it. I'll do it, and we'll have Jill
- 1:03:35Speaker 3: teach us.
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: I mean, Jill will chef can video and will just
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: be right here on the floor making each other far.
- 1:03:39Speaker 3: I'd be laying in bed going and Jill come rub
- 1:03:45Speaker 3: it out, Dude, get my legs going. And it's just
- 1:03:50Speaker 3: we have to do that to be fun, have to
- 1:03:52Speaker 3: do it.
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: Should we get into dad losses? Yes, any more crackic
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: cole ones? That was it? Yeah, my crack cold ones.
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: I mean, vacation was just unreal. But I got some
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: good dad losses. Okay, cool my dad losses. On the week,
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: the theme is around hiking our very first hike, Day one.
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: We's got these new little hiking boots that we got
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: from Ari.
- 1:04:11Speaker 3: I shot at Ari. I know, free shoutouts. Sorry, I
- 1:04:15Speaker 3: he's adorable little hiking boots. He's ready to go.
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: It's a little rainy and cold outside, but it's our
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: first one. We're pushing through. This is at a sunshine
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: mountain or sunset whatever, and Rude doesn't want to hike.
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: We got I got a carrier most of the time,
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: or Charro does, or so or Nick my boy Nick,
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: Papa six was filling in caring her because Grady Grady,
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: their youngest, he's fussy. I'm right, he's riding on my
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: shoulders at times because I'm trying to I'm trying to
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: help out my fellow Papazio, like, let me take Grady, Like,
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: let you know, let's have fun with somebody he's not
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: as familiar with, because we'll probably just stop and just
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: be up high, like let's bounce. Oh look at this,
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: look at this rock. But Dad losses like hiking. Both
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: of my stories is around hiking, because it's like the
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: kids was just tough to get hiking. Sometimes if one's hiking,
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: the other one's pissed off. You know, you know what
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: I mean. It's like Scotty'll be fussy. Oh maybe it's
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: her feeding time. You get her fed. Oh, she's good
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: to go. She's knocked out sleeping. You probably saw a
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: lot of those photos to where she's just hanging out
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: the back, just knocked out. But she might be good.
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: And then Rue's upset. She's not one to hike. My
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: legs don't walk.
- 1:05:19Speaker 3: I can't whoa no, bro.
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: We were like and we're sitting there and join the
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: sights and I just see Rude just coming from behind us.
- 1:05:27Speaker 3: He's like, like, what, sweetheart, what is it? She's like,
- 1:05:30Speaker 3: it's too cold, I can't walk.
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: I need you to hold me, sweetheart. You just get
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: down here and then deadwe pick yup. I get me inside.
- 1:05:37Speaker 3: It's too cold. It's too cold. She said that. Yes, bro, man,
- 1:05:42Speaker 3: shut up, get walking. You tell her how cold he
- 1:05:44Speaker 3: used to get in Lincoln.
- 1:05:45Speaker 6: Bro.
- 1:05:45Speaker 3: She she doesn't know.
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: She will one day when he's playing against Iowa minus
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: thirteen degree wind chill. That wait, what is it, lard
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: whale lord? The maassline on his arms, no sleeves out
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: in the cold air coming out. That was your old
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: man out there.
- 1:06:04Speaker 3: Get dadas inside.
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: Yeah, you got a hoodie on, you got a jacket on,
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: you got your your little hiking pants and sweats, you
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: got your boots on.
- 1:06:12Speaker 3: Like, just walk.
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: I'm trying to teach her by the back half. It
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: was a big win because I'm teaching on my sweetheart,
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: if you just move faster and run like your body
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: will heat up. So I'm turning things in the games.
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: That's a little dad hackers and all the pairents know this,
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: turning things in the games. So it's like, oh my god,
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: look at that rock, Like, let's climb up that rock.
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: There might be a bear. There might be a bear
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: up there. And then you get them climb on the rock. Hey,
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: let's run up this hill. I think there's like a
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: bear or a fox up this hill. And you get
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: running up the hill and it's like, hey, don't you
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: feel better? She's like yeah, and then she's bragging about
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: how she walked like the last quarter of the hike.
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: But you're like, dude, you crushed it. And then you're
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: kind of building that callous throughout the week. Now we
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: get to Friday, we're gonna go and see Moraine Lake again.
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: But we had already seen Moraine Lakes. So I'm like, hey,
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: let's let's do a pivot. Somebody responded to me on
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: Twitter and said, we need to hike Mirror Lake. We
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: need to go up and see Mere Lake. They posted
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: this beautiful photo of Mere or Lake because I posted
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: one of us hitting the sunset canoe on Lake Louise,
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: which is all time. Okay, five am wake up was
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: tough rooting. You know, there's a lot of bitching and
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: moaning and complaining going on. But it's like, once we
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: get out to the boat, we'll be riding the boat.
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: It's gonna beautiful. You're gonna love it.
- 1:07:14Speaker 3: She loved it.
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: The sunrise canoe was all time. But we get to
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: where it's like, all right. The second part, we were
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: gonna go take a shuttle to the Moraine Lake. We
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: found out the shuttle you had to have car seats
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: in it. We didn't want to uninstall the car seats
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: from the car or from the car garage, reinstall them
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: in the shuttle. Then you do the whole trip with
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: the shuttle. You come back from the shuttle, you uninstall
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: them from the shuttle, you reinstall them in the car.
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: We didn't want to do all that. But I'm like, hey,
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: I got a great pivot. Somebody responded on Twitter said
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: we should hike Mirror Lake. This photo looks gorgeous. Yeah,
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: and he said the kids could handle it. Buddy, this incline,
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: Oh no, I mean my legs were shaking like a
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: dog show.
- 1:07:54Speaker 3: You were, you were hurting that within ten minutes. Who's
- 1:07:58Speaker 3: this guy?
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 1:08:00Speaker 3: I need to go back and back buddy.
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: And then I go back on Twitter because I wanted
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: to respond to him, be like, bro, it was fucking
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: brutal to because I had the hiking the hiking carrier
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: on with the little Scottie sitting in the back. Charles
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: got all the bells and whistles, snacks, these heavy ass water.
- 1:08:15Speaker 3: Bottles in there.
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: I'm carrying forty plus in this hiking backpack going up
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: this hill. Hamstrings are burning. Like I said, my legs
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: were shaking like a dog shitting peach sheets. Not even
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: that high up. We're ten minutes in and I'm leaning
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: on a tree because you know, the rest of the
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: cruise a little behind me, because people are dragging a
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: little bit, and I'm thinking, ain't no way the kids
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: are gonna be able to handle this. Rude can't again,
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: she can't walk. Her legs aren't working. So you're moving
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: them right now. Just look down and go one step
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: at a time. I'm trying to do the left. Check
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: out this song left, left, left, right and left. And
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: she's crying and it's like you gotta stop. And we
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: get up to the mirror lake. Now it's a good
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: it's a good view. Yeah, it wasn't the picture. I
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: got up there and I look back at Nick and
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: I go, what the hell is this? I mean, it
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: was still a nice like little lake, but it wasn't
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: the photo that the dude showed me where there's a
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: mountains in behind it and it's just this beautiful mirror
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: looking you see the water and it just looks incredible.
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: It was Lake Agnes or Lake Agnew or whatever it was.
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: That's another like eight hundred one thousand meters up.
- 1:09:17Speaker 4: What is this?
- 1:09:18Speaker 3: This height was four hours, bro, bro their background trip.
- 1:09:24Speaker 3: Find out who that was because they won hundred percent.
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: Set you up, buddy, it was a it was like
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: a four mile hike round trip.
- 1:09:30Speaker 3: They set you up.
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: Grew walked on the way down and we played this
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: game the entire time, like we were trying to count.
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: It was like three five onion, three five leopard. It
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: was three five say any word you want, and we
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: would just go back and forth all the way down
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: the mountain. But and I'm saying all the way up
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: and all the way down like this.
- 1:09:45Speaker 4: This it was.
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: The elevation was like this the entire time. There's no
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: like walking in and you get a little flat. It's
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: this the entire time going up this mountain two miles up, bro,
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: And I'm halfway through it. I'm sitting there.
- 1:09:59Speaker 3: I'm like, motherfucker, like just full on switchbacks, like going yeah,
- 1:10:04Speaker 3: but I'm talking long, like there are a couple switchbacks,
- 1:10:07Speaker 3: but I'm saying long. You'd be looking up the mountain
- 1:10:11Speaker 3: with zero hope, you know what I mean, Like you
- 1:10:14Speaker 3: might find one, Okay, once we get around this corner
- 1:10:15Speaker 3: of my flatten out, or once we get around this
- 1:10:17Speaker 3: it might be.
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: It might be easier. Buddy, You're you're looking up. You
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: couldn't look up. You just had to look down and
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: think one step at a time. Willie, You fucking got that.
- 1:10:25Speaker 3: That's the worst part about hiking, of when you're saying
- 1:10:28Speaker 3: leaning up against the tree is it's like stopping is
- 1:10:31Speaker 3: almost worse than continuing to go.
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: Yeah, because I got this this heavy hiking pack on it,
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: I'm like, I'm like sitting it on rocks, so I'm
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: just trying to take a break. I'm more in too
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: many layers at this point, so I'm sweating. I'm sweating everywhere.
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: And then on the way down it rains the entire time.
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: But Charli hits me with you got the easier job
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: as we're walking up. I will toss you off.
- 1:10:55Speaker 6: This time.
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: Because I know it's tough with the like she's with
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: the three year old. It's all of a sudden paralyzed.
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: She doesn't want to walk, so she's got a carrier.
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: At times she's gotta slowly walk with her. She's behind
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: the pack.
- 1:11:07Speaker 3: So I get it.
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: You're in hell with the little one. I'm like, I'm
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: glad I don't. I'm glad I don't have ru but
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: this with this weight on my back, like you know
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: how my L four five and s I joint is
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: I'm talking decompressed, my disc or fading on me. I'm
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: still feeling it right now. Hop on that for our
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: flight back from Canada. I'm getting off and I'm like
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: having to slowly, like fully extended, because that it was.
- 1:11:31Speaker 1: It was something she had the nerve to hit me
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: halfway up. He got the easy job.
- 1:11:37Speaker 3: What'd you say? What you call her? I said?
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: I said, I said, bitch.
- 1:11:45Speaker 3: You said that?
- 1:11:45Speaker 1: I said some version of that.
- 1:11:48Speaker 3: What you said? Said you really said that?
- 1:11:50Speaker 7: Though?
- 1:11:51Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I said, I said, good, shut up.
- 1:11:59Speaker 3: No one in the comments.
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: Hey, if we post this clip too, you better run
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: the key and peels of what the reference is. He
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: was like, what he didn't talk to her like that?
- 1:12:10Speaker 4: I ate it.
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: I heard her, and I just I kind of scoffed.
- 1:12:13Speaker 1: I just said all right, and I kept pushing because
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: there was no time. That's nobody's coming to save you. Yes,
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: that's where when you see the comments, I hope your
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: heart turns black, like you just had to focus on one.
- 1:12:23Speaker 3: Step at a time. I love that you were leading
- 1:12:25Speaker 3: the pack too.
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: But yeah, and the dad lost in all of that
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: because on the way down, Nick and Rachel and their family,
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: they're way behind us because Nick's having to carry Hudson.
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: He's sleeping at this point because he was like, it
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: was you know, we got up there, your throwing rocks
- 1:12:37Speaker 1: in the lake. You're having a great time. Ye man Ay,
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: these moments starts raining on us. And the loss for
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: me is I'm the one who led us up the mountain. Yeah,
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: Dade four mile hike, and I didn't know what I
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: was getting too. I'm going off a Twitter comment that says, hey,
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: you got to check out Mere Lake. Kids can handle it.
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: I'm ten minutes in being like, I hope it gets
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: flattered because there ain't no handling this.
- 1:12:57Speaker 3: But ET six has its first in it.
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: Yeah, I'll find him.
- 1:13:02Speaker 3: He's a great guy. Well here's the here's the issue.
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: I go on Twitter to end up telling him to
- 1:13:08Speaker 1: break down. But I go on Twitter and he has
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: another reply. Damn, what is it saying we'll positive, we'll
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: edit and get get get faster to it.
- 1:13:20Speaker 3: That's so rough, dude.
- 1:13:21Speaker 4: Imagine he just accidentally he just messed up the lake
- 1:13:24Speaker 4: and he looks back at it like two hours later.
- 1:13:26Speaker 2: Ah, ship, I should probably tell him that's not the one.
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: It's not. It wasn't The lake was halfway up. Oh dude,
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: I say. He said, Uh, take hike up to Mere
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: Lake while you're there.
- 1:13:36Speaker 3: Worth it.
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: The kids can handle it. I said, we have changed
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: our plans and now going to Mere Lake because of
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: this reply.
- 1:13:41Speaker 3: Thank you. He hits me with, awesome, we're scrolling. He's scrolling.
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: Okay, awesome. My wife and I stayed at Morine Lake
- 1:13:53Speaker 1: Lodge for our anniversary a couple of years ago and
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: spent the day at Lake Louise. Also, I just looked
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: at the pigs. That lake is actually called Lake Agnes.
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: Mere Lake is on the way up, if I remember correctly.
- 1:14:02Speaker 3: I'm not sure.
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: He said a couple other things, but I'm stucked on
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: that the kids can handle it. I want to know
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: what kind of savages, what kind of Jocko Willings is
- 1:14:11Speaker 1: he packing in his family?
- 1:14:13Speaker 3: Well, that's the problem. That's the issue with hiking and skiing.
- 1:14:16Speaker 3: Slash snowboarding. Is somebody just telling you, hey, the blacks
- 1:14:21Speaker 3: here are different, Like the blacks and Breckinridge are not
- 1:14:25Speaker 3: the equivalent of the black.
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: You're talking about black diamonds. You make that clear, want
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: to talk about the people you could quite blocks and Wreckerridge.
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: I'm like, I know he means black diamond. I hope
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: he says black They're a little different. Yeah, sorry, what
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: were you gonna say?
- 1:14:41Speaker 2: Someone had a comedy had a bit on that, some
- 1:14:45Speaker 2: stand up.
- 1:14:45Speaker 3: Oh that is right. Somebody did have a good standout
- 1:14:48Speaker 3: to the.
- 1:14:48Speaker 2: Gas station and they're like, well, the blacks here are
- 1:14:50Speaker 2: really rough.
- 1:14:55Speaker 3: The black diamond. But you're right.
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: It's it's almost like I have much other preface. Hey,
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: it's worth it. It's a little bit of a grind,
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: so buckle in, yeah, dude, because I'm thinking my first question,
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: do you have a three year old? If so, is
- 1:15:06Speaker 1: his name David Goggins? Because my three year old, her
- 1:15:10Speaker 1: legs stop working immediately.
- 1:15:12Speaker 3: Because if you if you broke down college football to me, like, hey,
- 1:15:16Speaker 3: really getting on the team of college football, it's really
- 1:15:18Speaker 3: not that hard.
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: Sherman.
- 1:15:19Speaker 3: Yeah, you could have. Maybe you could have played college football, buddy,
- 1:15:24Speaker 3: me trying to play D one college football. Not a chance. Yeah,
- 1:15:27Speaker 3: it's really level to this Woolve's.
- 1:15:30Speaker 1: Yeah, but I'm sitting there again ten minutes saying like,
- 1:15:34Speaker 1: holy shit, I hope this gets easier and it it
- 1:15:37Speaker 1: was that elevation the entire time. Dude.
- 1:15:41Speaker 3: Uh, there's truly no worse feeling. My mom got hoodwinked
- 1:15:45Speaker 3: one time into a similar thing of oh my gosh,
- 1:15:48Speaker 3: you've never been on Galloping Goose Trail, Like it's the
- 1:15:52Speaker 3: best easiest hike of all time and the views are great.
- 1:15:55Speaker 3: My mom's like literally stuck on the mountain at one point.
- 1:15:59Speaker 3: I don't remember the full story, but I mean it
- 1:16:01Speaker 3: was like she got fucked.
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean if it was just me, my wife Nick,
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: and his wife Nick and Rachel, Like that's a fun hike.
- 1:16:07Speaker 3: Yeah, you're going up.
- 1:16:08Speaker 1: Oh, let's go up to the Lake Agnes or Agnew.
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: I hate that I keep messing that up. But when
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: you got forty plus on your back and your three
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: year old is just not cooperating, I want to meet
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: this guy's kids. I do too, Jesus Christ. Oh another
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: dad loss. Yeah, we were sent Papa Team six. Papa
- 1:16:31Speaker 1: Team six soldiers will and Nick were sent on a
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: mission to go get diapers. We ran out of diapers
- 1:16:36Speaker 1: on the last day, or we had like one left.
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: It's like, hey, we need to go get sized four
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: diapers because we still got the plane ride home. Like,
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: who knows what Scotti. You know, you gotta have diapers.
- 1:16:44Speaker 1: Make sure you pack enough diapers, but we were running low.
- 1:16:48Speaker 1: Nick and his side, they were also running low. She
- 1:16:50Speaker 1: also told Nick, hey, you need to go get some
- 1:16:52Speaker 1: baby wipes too. We need wipes and we need five.
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: So he's getting sized five. I'm seeking size four. We
- 1:16:57Speaker 1: called down to the village because you got to drive
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: fifteen minutes down the mountain to get diapers. Yeah. Yeah,
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: we get down to they're like, yeah, we got size four.
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: We don't have size five. But Nick's gonna go and
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: get baby wipes. And we're just gonna go. Hey, Nick
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: and I, we're just gonna run the solo mission.
- 1:17:08Speaker 3: We'll do it.
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: You know, have them stay back, take care of the cakes.
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: You get a breath of fresh air, and I get
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: to talk to my boy because I feel like I
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: don't get to talk to him whole time, because when
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: you're on vacation with another family, you're not at dinner
- 1:17:19Speaker 1: catching up. You're at dinner negotiating with your kids to eat.
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: You're not really having intimate conversations. You're you're in the
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: trenches the entire time as parents, trying to.
- 1:17:27Speaker 3: Be like, hey, how do you usually do this?
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: Yeah, we usually go this route, like, let's work together
- 1:17:31Speaker 1: to try and corral all these minions the entire time.
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: So it's a nice breath of fresh air. Me and
- 1:17:35Speaker 1: my boy Nick, we're gonna drive down to the village.
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: We're gonna get some diapers. We go down, simple mission,
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: get fourst get fives, get wipes. We get down to
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: the village grocery store and we're in the aisle and
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: we're seeing fours and fives and we don't know which
- 1:17:50Speaker 1: brand to get. So me and him both are on
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: the phone calling our wives asking about, hey, there's Pampers here,
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: there's Huggies, Like, which brand do you want us to get?
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: And so my dad loss is just not being able
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: to accomplish the simplest task of going to just pick
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: up some diapers. Why do you got to call mom like, yeah,
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: I'm sure they got tolle. It's like they can't do
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: one simple thing and We're both in Aisle two, both
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: of us walking on you know, on the phone, and
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: I'm laughing. We're both start laughing because I'm like, look
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: at us. We can't go down this mountain and just
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: pick up diapers. We have to call our wives to
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: make sure we're getting the right ones. So that was
- 1:18:27Speaker 1: my that's my final Dad, Low dude, I couldn't. I
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: could not agree with you. More was that Target.
- 1:18:31Speaker 3: I believe two days ago, we have some bougie wipes
- 1:18:35Speaker 3: that Jill has an order off the internet, and she goes, yeah,
- 1:18:39Speaker 3: we can get these Target brand wipes for her face
- 1:18:44Speaker 3: because you know they're ninety nine percent water, and I go,
- 1:18:48Speaker 3: the ones that we have at home are ninety nine
- 1:18:50Speaker 3: percent water. Why why are we getting And she was like,
- 1:18:53Speaker 3: those are the expensive ones. You don't use those on
- 1:18:55Speaker 3: her face. We get the store brand for that. I
- 1:18:57Speaker 3: was sitting over there pushing the all going I think.
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: We do like the Coterie diapers. I think they absorb
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: a lot more like the overnight diapers. It's like you
- 1:19:08Speaker 1: can go and get overnight diapers, but these ones are
- 1:19:10Speaker 1: like an all purpose.
- 1:19:11Speaker 3: Yeah, that's what we have. And then Codrie, I don't
- 1:19:17Speaker 3: know Coterie Coterie Code Codie, yeah, Code, we have the
- 1:19:21Speaker 3: wipes too, the Koterie wipes we use, is it honeywell,
- 1:19:26Speaker 3: honeywell honest, honest, yeah, honest. Okay, yeah, yeah, I've seen
- 1:19:32Speaker 3: that too, dude.
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: It's so funny when Scarlett gets older and they get
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: done pooping. That's like, you know, if she goes pee,
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: she can do it by herself, she can get tole
- 1:19:39Speaker 1: paper and do all that. But when they're pooping, it's
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: so funny, Dad, I need you come wipe, and I'll
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: like walk in the bathroom and she's already like down
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: and hands on the ground, but up and stuff, and
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: it's just so funny because their heads just like in
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: the ground.
- 1:19:54Speaker 3: It's just like, oh my god. I do like I
- 1:19:57Speaker 3: don't think about it at all when I'm doing diapers changes,
- 1:20:01Speaker 3: and I think the other night, like I I truly
- 1:20:03Speaker 3: kind of thought about what I was doing, and I
- 1:20:05Speaker 3: laughed because I had some extra uh oh man, I
- 1:20:08Speaker 3: know the name of destining the destining diaper rash cream.
- 1:20:14Speaker 3: And you gotta put it, you know, on the cheeks,
- 1:20:16Speaker 3: and then you gotta kind of get in between the
- 1:20:18Speaker 3: cheeks too and put it on there and whenever I
- 1:20:19Speaker 3: have extra destining, I just wipe it on my leg
- 1:20:24Speaker 3: like I'm just like, oh, I'll just wipe it off.
- 1:20:25Speaker 3: And then I was thinking about it. That's what I'm saying, dude.
- 1:20:29Speaker 3: Once I thought about.
- 1:20:30Speaker 1: It, I say, you get ship on your hand and
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: you'll wipe it on your pant let.
- 1:20:33Speaker 3: Well, no, this is after I've like cleaned her off,
- 1:20:36Speaker 3: cleaned her off, like I've wiped her with wipes, and
- 1:20:39Speaker 3: then I get the little cream because you know she's
- 1:20:42Speaker 3: all slick and clean. I get in there. Yeah, okay,
- 1:20:47Speaker 3: I would wipe it off on my leg not thinking anything. Okay, yeah,
- 1:20:50Speaker 3: I do that too. And then I thought to myself,
- 1:20:52Speaker 3: I did just get all up in that business. In
- 1:20:55Speaker 3: that business. Yeah, you put your finger in the hole
- 1:20:57Speaker 3: and you're just wiping it on your pant lets out
- 1:21:00Speaker 3: my leg like, oh yeah, that's fine, buddy.
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: When you start, when you start wiping out, so they
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: go number two. It's it's just so funny, dude.
- 1:21:07Speaker 3: That's hilarious. I didn't even think about that. Yeah, I'll
- 1:21:11Speaker 3: do my dad lost really quick for anyone that falls me.
- 1:21:16Speaker 3: Got to keep it under an hour, God, to keep
- 1:21:17Speaker 3: it under an hour for anyone that follows me on Twitter.
- 1:21:21Speaker 3: The Battle of Helm's Deep, which for Lord of the
- 1:21:25Speaker 3: Rings fans out there, they know what that is. If
- 1:21:27Speaker 3: you are not a Lord of the Rings fan, I
- 1:21:29Speaker 3: highly advise you to go watch the original trilogy.
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: Have you?
- 1:21:33Speaker 3: Are you a big Lord of the Rings guy?
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: I have watched a Lord of the Rings. I've only
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: watched it around one time.
- 1:21:37Speaker 3: Oh no, it's Taylor that hasn't seen it. Like he
- 1:21:40Speaker 3: was too scared. I think he tells the story where
- 1:21:44Speaker 3: he was like too scared as a kid. Yeah, but god,
- 1:21:48Speaker 3: great movies. Anyways, there's an epic battle Helm's Deep and
- 1:21:51Speaker 3: holy shit. So to preface this entire story, Taylor had
- 1:21:58Speaker 3: a end of the year intern party at his house,
- 1:22:02Speaker 3: a swim party to celebrate the interns and tell him
- 1:22:05Speaker 3: good job. We're like, we gotta showface at this party,
- 1:22:09Speaker 3: like it I need to say bye to the interns.
- 1:22:13Speaker 3: We need to get out of the house. Like you
- 1:22:15Speaker 3: can meet the baby, they can meet the baby. Jill
- 1:22:17Speaker 3: is fully on board. She's like, you do need to
- 1:22:20Speaker 3: show face at this party. We need to be good
- 1:22:23Speaker 3: about showing up to things and not making scarleting excuse
- 1:22:26Speaker 3: to miss out on stuff. Love that everyone's on the
- 1:22:29Speaker 3: same page. So Jill is being an absolute superhero and
- 1:22:32Speaker 3: packing the diaper bag. She's crushing it. But I do
- 1:22:36Speaker 3: technically have I got a little win because she had
- 1:22:38Speaker 3: a little oopsie. She had a mom loss and instead
- 1:22:42Speaker 3: of doing a scoop and a half of formula, which
- 1:22:45Speaker 3: would equal three ounces, she did two scoops and a
- 1:22:48Speaker 3: half of formula because we were rushing out of the house. Okay,
- 1:22:54Speaker 3: so after Taylor's we get in the car and where
- 1:22:57Speaker 3: ann Taylor's driveway. She's starts fussing. Jill goes, I'm just
- 1:23:02Speaker 3: going to feed her in the car. I said, Okay,
- 1:23:04Speaker 3: I'll text Taylor and just tell them, hey, we're just
- 1:23:07Speaker 3: we're parked in your driveway. Everyone pretty much has left
- 1:23:09Speaker 3: at this point. If you see my car, we're just
- 1:23:12Speaker 3: feeding Scarlet. We'll head out. Jill dumps all two and
- 1:23:15Speaker 3: a half of that formula into the bottle, mixes it up,
- 1:23:20Speaker 3: so Scarlet's working with like three times the carbs of
- 1:23:23Speaker 3: what is normally put into her body at feeding time.
- 1:23:28Speaker 3: Fast forward to Dad's night shift later that night. She
- 1:23:31Speaker 3: knocks it down easy, knocked it down and passes out,
- 1:23:35Speaker 3: and we're like, wow, she was really sleepy. The pool
- 1:23:38Speaker 3: must have taken it out of her. I mean, she's
- 1:23:40Speaker 3: so sleepy. Oh my gosh. Later that night, I do
- 1:23:44Speaker 3: first diaper change at the beginning of my night shift.
- 1:23:48Speaker 3: There's no poop. I go, oh, okay, well that's happened before.
- 1:23:52Speaker 3: There's pe in here though, so everything's working. Second diaper change,
- 1:23:56Speaker 3: Oh there's no poop. Okay, we're really rocking right now.
- 1:24:00Speaker 3: Look is on my side.
- 1:24:01Speaker 1: God is God is with me.
- 1:24:02Speaker 2: God is good.
- 1:24:03Speaker 3: I was like, uh, but like, okay, like that's kind
- 1:24:06Speaker 3: of weird, but whatever. I get to my final one,
- 1:24:09Speaker 3: which is like four thirty five o'clockish in the morning.
- 1:24:12Speaker 3: In the morning is around the time of the final one,
- 1:24:16Speaker 3: and I change her diaper and again there's no pooper. Pete.
- 1:24:19Speaker 3: I put bottle in her mouth, and Dude, as soon
- 1:24:22Speaker 3: as bottle hits her mouth, it was truly Sourn's forces.
- 1:24:28Speaker 3: The Orcs were marching on Helm's Deep and the dun
- 1:24:33Speaker 3: dun dun, dun, dund dunk like piss and shit is
- 1:24:37Speaker 3: leaking out of her onesie. She shits so much that
- 1:24:41Speaker 3: it seeped through the diaper. It wasn't even a blowout, dude,
- 1:24:45Speaker 3: it was like seeping through all of her stuff because
- 1:24:49Speaker 3: it was a backlog of like the last three feeds
- 1:24:54Speaker 3: in that triple carb feed that we did. I'm I'm
- 1:24:58Speaker 3: just laughing at this point because I'm like, okay, now
- 1:25:01Speaker 3: I'm in it, Like this is what everybody's been talking about.
- 1:25:03Speaker 3: I'm in it. And dude, I'm feeling the hot stuff
- 1:25:06Speaker 3: just go down my chest. Oh my god, oh yeah,
- 1:25:10Speaker 3: all over me. I'm like, this is fine, We're fine.
- 1:25:14Speaker 3: I get her on the changing table.
- 1:25:16Speaker 1: She's shitting all over you.
- 1:25:18Speaker 3: It's the pea coming out, really, but the pea is
- 1:25:21Speaker 3: getting filtered through the shit and the diaper, so it's
- 1:25:24Speaker 3: like shitty piss. That's like leaking all over me. Oh buddy.
- 1:25:28Speaker 3: And I'm like, okay, but hey, we're fine, we're fine.
- 1:25:31Speaker 3: We'll get through this. I got used to wipes on her.
- 1:25:33Speaker 3: I'll get her cleaned off. So I get her cleaned off.
- 1:25:36Speaker 3: She's being she's being great, super easy on the changing table,
- 1:25:40Speaker 3: and I'm like, that wasn't that bad, look, Scarlett.
- 1:25:43Speaker 1: We got it.
- 1:25:44Speaker 3: We got the change. I got your diaper change, I
- 1:25:46Speaker 3: got you in a new outfit. You're all clean. Let's
- 1:25:49Speaker 3: put some lotion on you. Let's take you to the spa.
- 1:25:51Speaker 3: You love lotion, so I'm doing the lotion on her.
- 1:25:54Speaker 3: She's loving it. Get her in her new outfit just
- 1:25:59Speaker 3: waterfall because she has this whole backlog of all these
- 1:26:02Speaker 3: feeds in her belly, spits up all over the new change.
- 1:26:06Speaker 3: I'm like, hey, that's okay, let's burpy a little bit.
- 1:26:09Speaker 3: Blah blah blah. She's over there just burping like a champ.
- 1:26:14Speaker 3: Wipe her down, Wipe her down. Didn't change diaper because
- 1:26:17Speaker 3: I was like, she didn't put new outfit on all
- 1:26:21Speaker 3: over that that. We're now on the third outfit. So
- 1:26:24Speaker 3: I did three outfit changes. She was into her fourth one.
- 1:26:28Speaker 3: Only had to do one diaper change technically too, but
- 1:26:33Speaker 3: I survived the battle of Holmes deach we are good,
- 1:26:37Speaker 3: but it was crazy. You're better me, she would, we
- 1:26:40Speaker 3: would just it's gotta dry.
- 1:26:43Speaker 1: Her off.
- 1:26:43Speaker 3: You listen, we got this outfit on you.
- 1:26:47Speaker 1: You gotta dry Jill.
- 1:26:48Speaker 3: Before that too, had a not argument, but a stern
- 1:26:52Speaker 3: talking to you about setting mom up for success. At
- 1:26:55Speaker 3: the beginning of her shift. Oh, she said at Bustin,
- 1:26:59Speaker 3: when you call out, I bet you not half asset.
- 1:27:02Speaker 3: You seem to really put in full effort whenever you're
- 1:27:05Speaker 3: clocking out, whenever you're leaving, whereas with baby Scarscar sometimes
- 1:27:11Speaker 3: when we're clocking out, we just do the motions and
- 1:27:14Speaker 3: then here you go, Mom, I'm gonna go pass out.
- 1:27:17Speaker 3: None of the bottles are washed, none of the things
- 1:27:19Speaker 3: are done, et cetera. I said, honey, that's a great note,
- 1:27:24Speaker 3: and I'm going to take that and run with it.
- 1:27:26Speaker 3: And so that's in the back of my head as
- 1:27:28Speaker 3: I was doing a multiple outfit chang. I feel that.
- 1:27:32Speaker 3: But I have a new metal that I thought we
- 1:27:35Speaker 3: could bring into our lure of Instead of a purple heart,
- 1:27:41Speaker 3: it's the purple shart. And I got my I earned
- 1:27:45Speaker 3: a purple shart. I love that. For getting shitted on
- 1:27:49Speaker 3: by my daughter. Yeah, I rock with that. But that
- 1:27:54Speaker 3: was my dad loss.
- 1:27:56Speaker 1: You handled it well, thank you. You know it sounds
- 1:27:59Speaker 1: like you kept the opt miss them up. I saw
- 1:28:01Speaker 1: the tweet, I saw the post Buddy he's in.
- 1:28:03Speaker 3: For Oh dude, it was hey, you know, I dramatized that.
- 1:28:07Speaker 3: I put all the outfits on. I went into the
- 1:28:08Speaker 3: dirty clothes hamper and pulled all of them out and
- 1:28:10Speaker 3: put them on there. Yeah, made it look more like
- 1:28:13Speaker 3: a battlefield since we got to keep it under Now
- 1:28:15Speaker 3: are gonna hit these calls? Please please? Let's who's our
- 1:28:25Speaker 3: first call in?
- 1:28:25Speaker 2: First call in is what a fellas?
- 1:28:29Speaker 3: This is Trey and chatting is I have a tray
- 1:28:31Speaker 3: and chattananogos okay.
- 1:28:34Speaker 5: Request because as a dad who logged a lot of
- 1:28:38Speaker 5: movies with my kids, I would love.
- 1:28:41Speaker 4: To hear you guys talk about some movies that you
- 1:28:43Speaker 4: have logged.
- 1:28:44Speaker 5: With your kids. Which ones are your favorites, not just
- 1:28:47Speaker 5: for the sake of entertainment, but it's like death, even developing,
- 1:28:50Speaker 5: even like good movies to watch with your daughters, you know, like, hey,
- 1:28:53Speaker 5: this is a great one. But yeah, I heard Will
- 1:28:57Speaker 5: talking about Mowanna and Unfortunate. Only Teffedi's not the bad guy,
- 1:29:02Speaker 5: will he. Teffedi's just the other side of the what
- 1:29:06Speaker 5: is it the heart necklace where you know our boy
- 1:29:09Speaker 5: Maui stole it from the heart of Taffiti. So when
- 1:29:13Speaker 5: her heart was restored, she was the big, old, green,
- 1:29:15Speaker 5: giant looking lady that laid down on the mountain range
- 1:29:18Speaker 5: and that was the end of that story. It's kind
- 1:29:20Speaker 5: of a you know, a analogy for us as people
- 1:29:23Speaker 5: where he can have anger and rage whenever you know
- 1:29:26Speaker 5: something's taken away and then kind of making things right.
- 1:29:29Speaker 1: You knows.
- 1:29:30Speaker 3: All that's to say, Will just Milan is a fucking classic.
- 1:29:33Speaker 3: So all that to say, will Wana is a fucking classic.
- 1:29:41Speaker 3: He's out here defending Milana with his life, which I
- 1:29:44Speaker 3: love it. Trey and chat Uga, he said, defending Traffedi's
- 1:29:52Speaker 3: name on behalf of the Dad's PT six. I'm out.
- 1:29:55Speaker 3: But his question was, what are three good films that
- 1:29:59Speaker 3: you watching with us? Some Pizza Friday films?
- 1:30:03Speaker 1: So my go tos? Are we talking like favorites of rus?
- 1:30:05Speaker 3: Yeah, favorites to watch with the kids you and that
- 1:30:08Speaker 3: you also enjoy.
- 1:30:10Speaker 1: We've gotten in recently to cars, which fired me up.
- 1:30:13Speaker 1: We tried cars early on and she just wasn't you know.
- 1:30:15Speaker 1: She always wanted a princess on, so we'd had to
- 1:30:18Speaker 1: pick like princess movies. So Frozen, both frozens. She loves Frozen.
- 1:30:23Speaker 1: She's all about Frozen. Cars, great one, and the third one,
- 1:30:30Speaker 1: I would say, inside Out, great movie with the with
- 1:30:34Speaker 1: the feelings joy, happy, sad, what is it nervous? Anger?
- 1:30:40Speaker 1: I love inside Out and inside Out too. Yeah, I
- 1:30:43Speaker 1: love them both.
- 1:30:44Speaker 3: Yeah, the anxiety one hit home for me. On the
- 1:30:47Speaker 3: second one, I.
- 1:30:47Speaker 1: Was like, bro, inside Out goes hard.
- 1:30:51Speaker 3: It's hard.
- 1:30:51Speaker 1: There's a lot of good kids movies. It's kind of
- 1:30:53Speaker 1: hard to narrow it down to three. We do always
- 1:30:56Speaker 1: try to choose something different because we were when she
- 1:30:59Speaker 1: it's early on it's like Frozen or die you know
- 1:31:01Speaker 1: what I mean?
- 1:31:01Speaker 3: Like I'm talking tantrum.
- 1:31:04Speaker 1: Yeah, Cars has fired me up recently. Just is a
- 1:31:09Speaker 1: good competitive one, overcoming adversity, and then inside Out. I
- 1:31:14Speaker 1: just I love the concept of inside out and dealing
- 1:31:17Speaker 1: with your feelings, labeling your emotions, getting to kind of
- 1:31:19Speaker 1: communicate with them in that way, like after the movie
- 1:31:22Speaker 1: in days following.
- 1:31:25Speaker 3: So those would be my three, I don't.
- 1:31:28Speaker 1: I mean Your Dragon, Oh, how to Train Your Dragon
- 1:31:33Speaker 1: is a great one. Oh, toy story is always a classic.
- 1:31:39Speaker 3: But where's a lot live action How to Train Your Dragon?
- 1:31:42Speaker 3: I haven't seen it yet. I want to see it.
- 1:31:44Speaker 3: I want to see it. Le Loo and Stitch. The
- 1:31:45Speaker 3: live action is incredible, Okay, I need to see that.
- 1:31:49Speaker 3: That's Jill's favorite animated.
- 1:31:50Speaker 1: Yeah, but those would be my movies.
- 1:31:54Speaker 3: Excuse me time, Yes, we gotta wrap up. I do
- 1:31:57Speaker 3: want to say if you haven't seen Puss in Boots
- 1:31:59Speaker 3: the Wish movie. Have you seen that? No? Will you
- 1:32:03Speaker 3: have to watch that movie? To all listeners out there,
- 1:32:07Speaker 3: Boots the Last Wish? Okay, thank you, chef bro. That
- 1:32:12Speaker 3: movie is so fucking dial It is a great kids movie,
- 1:32:19Speaker 3: it is even better adult movie. And I truly walked
- 1:32:22Speaker 3: away from that movie with like some pep in my
- 1:32:25Speaker 3: step and was like, Hollywood can still tell a great story,
- 1:32:29Speaker 3: Like Wow, that was incredible, right story, Puss and Boots
- 1:32:32Speaker 3: the Last Wish. I was so surprised by that, thought
- 1:32:38Speaker 3: would just be another throwaway, but it was incredible.
- 1:32:40Speaker 6: All right, Next caller, gentlemen, and particularly sure, I'm I'm
- 1:32:54Speaker 6: a member of pop a team six two years.
- 1:32:58Speaker 7: I got a two year old son and now a
- 1:33:00Speaker 7: three month old daughter. It's a crazy trip, but sure.
- 1:33:06Speaker 8: You're still in the sleepy baby feet sleep boob. That's
- 1:33:12Speaker 8: it has Will giving you the breakdown on what's next.
- 1:33:19Speaker 7: You've gotta force your baby to sleep. You gotta figure
- 1:33:23Speaker 7: out ways to get them down, to calm them down.
- 1:33:26Speaker 7: You gotta figure out how you're gonna feed them, when
- 1:33:29Speaker 7: to feed them wake windows. Yeah, a lot coming up, Shuran,
- 1:33:33Speaker 7: Congratulations again, this is Riley Top a team six player
- 1:33:40Speaker 7: Royal Canadian Operators.
- 1:33:44Speaker 3: Canadian operator. We gotta get a Canadian flag now, yeah,
- 1:33:48Speaker 3: we do. Riley from Canada calling in can we can
- 1:33:55Speaker 3: we pay for that international call? Is there a way
- 1:33:58Speaker 3: that we can cover him on the back end, get
- 1:34:00Speaker 3: him on the VENMO Yeah?
- 1:34:02Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah maybe, I mean.
- 1:34:03Speaker 3: He'll get he'll get merched.
- 1:34:04Speaker 4: But like, let's let's I think it's covered if it's continental,
- 1:34:08Speaker 4: like I think Canada there's now.
- 1:34:10Speaker 1: Okay, okay, good, I would think good. So he's asking,
- 1:34:13Speaker 1: have I prepped you for what?
- 1:34:14Speaker 3: Next phase?
- 1:34:15Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 1:34:16Speaker 3: Next phase? Which just hearing that it's a reflection of
- 1:34:19Speaker 3: what we talked about earlier with like each week brings
- 1:34:23Speaker 3: new new challenges.
- 1:34:25Speaker 1: Yeah, but being on that uh mom on calls, it's
- 1:34:28Speaker 1: like if I'm referring back to the twelve hours by
- 1:34:30Speaker 1: twelve weeks, like it all comes down to those wake
- 1:34:33Speaker 1: windows and sleeping and trying to get them to sleep
- 1:34:35Speaker 1: through the night. And when you're optimistic, you might have
- 1:34:38Speaker 1: a couple of good days to get stacked up, but
- 1:34:39Speaker 1: then a sleep regression might come and you're kind of
- 1:34:42Speaker 1: just you're just in the think of it again, it's
- 1:34:44Speaker 1: like a new challenge it's like new adversity. You're thinking
- 1:34:47Speaker 1: to yourself, oh man, I'm really stacking up four or
- 1:34:49Speaker 1: five six hours of sleep, but then all of a sudden,
- 1:34:53Speaker 1: they're waking up pissed off in your mind for no reason.
- 1:34:56Speaker 1: But that that to me would probably be your next phase.
- 1:35:00Speaker 3: Okay.
- 1:35:01Speaker 1: It's like once you get into the months, we will
- 1:35:03Speaker 1: be able to talk more about that. But I think
- 1:35:05Speaker 1: like your next week's because again you're going, as we're
- 1:35:07Speaker 1: talking in this episode is being released, you're on week
- 1:35:09Speaker 1: four right now.
- 1:35:09Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 1:35:10Speaker 1: Yeah, it's like you're hopeful that they hit all those
- 1:35:12Speaker 1: three hours of sleep because they eat eat sleep shit
- 1:35:16Speaker 1: for a bit, and I know with twelve hours. By
- 1:35:19Speaker 1: twelve weeks it's like week six or week eight is
- 1:35:22Speaker 1: like when boot camp begins. Yeah, like when you're really
- 1:35:25Speaker 1: starting to dial them in on having them, teaching them
- 1:35:28Speaker 1: to self soothed, trying not to pick them up all
- 1:35:31Speaker 1: the time, and just being like, hey, daddy's here, finding
- 1:35:33Speaker 1: a song, going to your go to lulla byes. We
- 1:35:35Speaker 1: talk about that all the time, But that'll kind of
- 1:35:38Speaker 1: be your next That'll kind of be your next phase
- 1:35:41Speaker 1: in my opinion, if I can remember correctly, it's all
- 1:35:43Speaker 1: about in those first few months, like if you're on
- 1:35:46Speaker 1: like a sleep training, like the goal is getting them
- 1:35:49Speaker 1: to sleep.
- 1:35:49Speaker 3: Through the night. The formula that we went by, Yeah,
- 1:35:52Speaker 3: that's kind of what Taylor alluded to you at the
- 1:35:55Speaker 3: pool party. We talked briefly and he was asking. He
- 1:35:58Speaker 3: was like, she's three weeks right, and I was like yeah,
- 1:36:00Speaker 3: and he was like yeah. Really. The next step, it
- 1:36:02Speaker 3: felt like for us, was like the baby's almost become
- 1:36:06Speaker 3: self aware. They're like, oh shit, I'm a baby, and
- 1:36:10Speaker 3: I'm like, what's going on?
- 1:36:11Speaker 1: Yeah, And there's the good part of that is they
- 1:36:14Speaker 1: start to smile. It's like right now, especially with mom,
- 1:36:18Speaker 1: because they're in it twenty four to seven, you got
- 1:36:20Speaker 1: postpartum and everything else, Like the baby just takes from them, takes, takes, takes,
- 1:36:24Speaker 1: yeh needs, the boob needs, milk needs, faed needs, burb needs, change,
- 1:36:27Speaker 1: all the stuff, and Mama's just on deck the entire time.
- 1:36:31Speaker 1: And then when they start to smile, it's like, now
- 1:36:33Speaker 1: you're getting something back in return, which cheers you up,
- 1:36:37Speaker 1: gives you greta maybe taking photos, taking videos because again,
- 1:36:40Speaker 1: those first weeks, it's like you caught that smile picture
- 1:36:43Speaker 1: probably from her poop and stuff. But when they start
- 1:36:44Speaker 1: to look and see you and be aware and you
- 1:36:46Speaker 1: can kind of maybe entertain them a little bit, or
- 1:36:48Speaker 1: they're looking around and observing a lot more, you start
- 1:36:51Speaker 1: to get more. You start to get a return, you
- 1:36:53Speaker 1: start to get an.
- 1:36:54Speaker 3: ROI on your investment. I'm excited for that, excited for that,
- 1:36:58Speaker 3: and I I'm excited for the challenge of it too.
- 1:37:04Speaker 3: I really do think that your heart turns black is
- 1:37:07Speaker 3: like such a real thing in this dad stuff. Yeah,
- 1:37:13Speaker 3: I don't know, like I don't know how to describe it,
- 1:37:15Speaker 3: but like I'm not miserable at four point thirty in
- 1:37:19Speaker 3: the morning feeding her. Yeah, And I can't describe that feeling.
- 1:37:22Speaker 1: Yeah, I think you do a good job of not
- 1:37:26Speaker 1: putting yourself in like a reactionary state. It's almost like again,
- 1:37:29Speaker 1: it's like embracing and anticipating that sucking moments are gonna come.
- 1:37:33Speaker 1: And as long as you're able to anticipate, because you
- 1:37:35Speaker 1: can't anticipate a plan working. Yeah, you're anticipating a plan
- 1:37:38Speaker 1: and just go to just unfold and unravel. And you're
- 1:37:41Speaker 1: in those moments pivoting and trying to figure out, just
- 1:37:43Speaker 1: reminding yourself that this is what you signed up for?
- 1:37:47Speaker 3: Yeah, Jill. The only note that I've gotten from this
- 1:37:50Speaker 3: last week was Jill is like I'm almost too unbothered.
- 1:37:54Speaker 3: In some moments, He's like, hey, Scarlet screaming. I'm like
- 1:37:58Speaker 3: holding Scarlet. I'm like, yeah, I know, like I you know,
- 1:38:02Speaker 3: I'm bouncer. Yeah's like, where you going to do the passy?
- 1:38:04Speaker 3: Do you want to take her outside? I mean she's
- 1:38:06Speaker 3: screaming something's wrong. I'm like, yeah, she's a baby. Like
- 1:38:10Speaker 3: it's all like, I'll figure it out. And she's like
- 1:38:13Speaker 3: I need some I love that attitude, but I need
- 1:38:16Speaker 3: some pep in the step, Like what's your plan? How
- 1:38:19Speaker 3: are you going to get her to stop crying? I'm like,
- 1:38:21Speaker 3: all right.
- 1:38:21Speaker 1: I love the comments of the boys reacting to your
- 1:38:24Speaker 1: story about being out and getting on the video game.
- 1:38:27Speaker 1: Oh dude, so funny. Oh dude, so funny.
- 1:38:30Speaker 3: Dude. Yeah, I mean, you live and you learn, dude.
- 1:38:33Speaker 3: And it's like, I'm trying to be a good partner
- 1:38:36Speaker 3: to Jill obviously, and that's like separate of Scarlett too,
- 1:38:40Speaker 3: like just in marriage. It's like by soccer coach in
- 1:38:43Speaker 3: high school had a great quote. He said, if I
- 1:38:45Speaker 3: quit whenever something was hard, I would have divorced my wife,
- 1:38:48Speaker 3: you know, thirty years ago.
- 1:38:49Speaker 1: It's like, that's a bar.
- 1:38:51Speaker 3: You know, everything's gonna be difficult. Good things in life
- 1:38:55Speaker 3: are difficult. But it's like, yeah, I don't even know
- 1:38:59Speaker 3: where I was going with that. You were spending.
- 1:39:01Speaker 1: Yeah, you were blacked out and you were spending.
- 1:39:03Speaker 3: Buddy, where were we even talking? I don't know.
- 1:39:06Speaker 1: That's the beauty of the show. You should get lost
- 1:39:09Speaker 1: in your thoughts, man. You got dad breaking going on
- 1:39:11Speaker 1: right now.
- 1:39:11Speaker 3: I do.
- 1:39:11Speaker 1: I'm thinking about how Yeah, my wife she's like, uh,
- 1:39:15Speaker 1: She's like, hey, you're gonna be home in time to
- 1:39:17Speaker 1: help with the bad time, because I was like, I'll
- 1:39:18Speaker 1: be home in time for bedtime.
- 1:39:19Speaker 3: I forget. Sunday's is a bad time.
- 1:39:21Speaker 1: We're recording right now on Sunday and we're trying to
- 1:39:23Speaker 1: get it in so that way we can get back
- 1:39:24Speaker 1: home and yeah, be on dad duty. But as far
- 1:39:26Speaker 1: as anticipating another little dad hack that I'll give before
- 1:39:29Speaker 1: I drop a quote that I heard from a gentleman,
- 1:39:32Speaker 1: you like that, please, A little quote that I heard
- 1:39:34Speaker 1: from a gentleman earlier, but a nice little dag dad
- 1:39:36Speaker 1: hack that I experienced with the two Littles with Hudson
- 1:39:39Speaker 1: and Rue in Canada was when we were staying in
- 1:39:42Speaker 1: the hotel together, same room, all that stuff, but prepping
- 1:39:45Speaker 1: them before anything happens. I remember I sat each of
- 1:39:49Speaker 1: them down individually. I was like, sweetheart, go go ahead
- 1:39:51Speaker 1: and step out in the hallway. I'm going to talk
- 1:39:52Speaker 1: to Rue one on one. And then I pulled Hudson
- 1:39:54Speaker 1: aside and I was like, hey, let me grab your
- 1:39:56Speaker 1: ear one on one and I sat him down and
- 1:39:58Speaker 1: I was like, hey.
- 1:39:59Speaker 3: We're about to go to dinner time. We need you.
- 1:40:01Speaker 3: You know, Grady, I'm talking to Hudson. You know your brother.
- 1:40:03Speaker 3: Grady's fussy.
- 1:40:04Speaker 1: You know Scotty she can get fussy too, and Rue
- 1:40:06Speaker 1: she's kind of she's up and down right now. Hudson, Yeah,
- 1:40:10Speaker 1: I'm gonna need you to stay poised. And he's like,
- 1:40:13Speaker 1: he's just looking at me, and I'm like, I love
- 1:40:15Speaker 1: your fit. I love how you get the stripes on
- 1:40:17Speaker 1: the collared shirt. I love how they met your boots.
- 1:40:19Speaker 1: They had little cowboy boots on them, and I love
- 1:40:21Speaker 1: that watch. You're rocking right now. You look like a star,
- 1:40:23Speaker 1: and I'm gonna need you to perform like a star.
- 1:40:25Speaker 1: At dinner tonight, when every things get a little hazy
- 1:40:28Speaker 1: and the sharing doesn't go well, I'm gonna look at
- 1:40:30Speaker 1: you and I'm gonna say, hey, Hudson, remember what we
- 1:40:31Speaker 1: talked about upstairs? And then I'm gonna need you to
- 1:40:33Speaker 1: lock in. I kind of did the same kind of
- 1:40:35Speaker 1: thing with the roof. That's that's that's a good little
- 1:40:38Speaker 1: Dada hack right there. Doesn't go perfectly, but at least
- 1:40:40Speaker 1: you can look and say, hey, honey, remember what we
- 1:40:42Speaker 1: talked about upstairs, and it'll be like and then and
- 1:40:46Speaker 1: then Hudson. I enjoyed being around Hudson, bro. It's like
- 1:40:51Speaker 1: getting to be around a little boys. It was like
- 1:40:53Speaker 1: I was having fun. And then, uh, but they both
- 1:40:57Speaker 1: want to press the elevator button when you go to
- 1:40:59Speaker 1: the eleve going everywhere with you're traveling around, she pushes
- 1:41:02Speaker 1: the elevator. But now you got Hudson, who also another
- 1:41:05Speaker 1: family that he didn't charged, and pressing the elevator button.
- 1:41:08Speaker 1: So they're going toes and losing their shit. More so
- 1:41:11Speaker 1: Rue if she can't touch the elevator button or Hudson
- 1:41:13Speaker 1: beats her and does, She's like, I'm gonna push on
- 1:41:15Speaker 1: and Hudson runs and just touches it and then just
- 1:41:17Speaker 1: looks at Rue and she just loses it. So I
- 1:41:19Speaker 1: grabbed both of them, like, hey, hey, hang on. They're
- 1:41:21Speaker 1: both talking about who's gonna touch the outside button, who's
- 1:41:23Speaker 1: gonna touch the button once you get in the elevator,
- 1:41:25Speaker 1: And as they're trying to figure out as they're going,
- 1:41:27Speaker 1: because we're like, all right, guys, want you press one
- 1:41:28Speaker 1: button the other one if you press the other, and
- 1:41:31Speaker 1: we was like, I want to press the outside buttons.
- 1:41:32Speaker 1: I want to press the outside button. And they're walking
- 1:41:34Speaker 1: toward the elevator trying to figure out who's going to
- 1:41:36Speaker 1: press what, and I stopped him. I said, hey, Rue, Hudson,
- 1:41:38Speaker 1: let's stop everybodys standing at the elevator. And I'm like,
- 1:41:41Speaker 1: right there in the hallway, I'm like, hey, let's figure
- 1:41:43Speaker 1: out and have a game plan. Who's pushing what button
- 1:41:46Speaker 1: before we get before we get to the elevator. Who
- 1:41:50Speaker 1: wants to push the outside button? And we was like,
- 1:41:53Speaker 1: I want to push the inside button. Hudson's like, I'll
- 1:41:55Speaker 1: push the outside butt. I'm like, all right, here's what
- 1:41:56Speaker 1: we're gonna do, Hudson, You'll press the outside button. And
- 1:41:58Speaker 1: Rue once we step in, you're gonna press L with
- 1:42:01Speaker 1: the star, L with the star. You're in charge of
- 1:42:04Speaker 1: pushing that button. Teamwork makes the dream work. Let's go execute.
- 1:42:08Speaker 1: We go on on two to one two, Rue press
- 1:42:11Speaker 1: the outside Hudson press the outside button, and Rue pushes
- 1:42:14Speaker 1: the inside button.
- 1:42:15Speaker 3: It's perfection.
- 1:42:16Speaker 1: Then if they're arguing about who's gonna press the inside button,
- 1:42:20Speaker 1: because everybody wants to press the inside button, Hey, here's
- 1:42:22Speaker 1: what we're gonna do.
- 1:42:24Speaker 3: Rue.
- 1:42:24Speaker 1: It's Huddy's turned to press the inside button. You're gonna
- 1:42:27Speaker 1: press two buttons. I'm gonna need you to push the
- 1:42:29Speaker 1: outside button. And then when we step in, Huddy's gonna
- 1:42:32Speaker 1: press the number, the floor number, and then you're gonna
- 1:42:34Speaker 1: press the door's closed button with the arrows going in.
- 1:42:38Speaker 1: So once he hits three, you hit the door's closed
- 1:42:40Speaker 1: button and we'll execute this planet. So Rouse hitting the
- 1:42:43Speaker 1: button twice, I'm like, all right, honey, you hit three,
- 1:42:45Speaker 1: and right when he hits three, I'm like, rough, hurry up,
- 1:42:46Speaker 1: push the closed door button. Puts the closed door door
- 1:42:49Speaker 1: has closed. You're like, oh my god, you guys crushed it.
- 1:42:51Speaker 1: You guys probably got us up to the third floor.
- 1:42:54Speaker 3: Legendary going in like a huddle too, and going outside
- 1:42:58Speaker 3: down yeah, inside l star yeah on two on two
- 1:43:02Speaker 3: and closed door, closed door zip, closed the door zip
- 1:43:06Speaker 3: on two on two.
- 1:43:06Speaker 1: Ready break And then if the door would start to
- 1:43:08Speaker 1: close before they can press the closed door button, I like,
- 1:43:10Speaker 1: put my hands it open back.
- 1:43:11Speaker 3: Hurry up, close the door, but it's gonna get broken.
- 1:43:14Speaker 3: Oh my god, you guys saved this. But I fucking
- 1:43:18Speaker 3: love that, dude.
- 1:43:19Speaker 1: Huddle them up, get the anticipation going.
- 1:43:22Speaker 3: That's so much fun. Those those are like memories that
- 1:43:27Speaker 3: they will have once they get old enough. Is like
- 1:43:30Speaker 3: the little things.
- 1:43:31Speaker 1: Yeah, that's I hope. So anyway, if not, I'm gonna
- 1:43:33Speaker 1: have videos of showing like, hey, look at this video
- 1:43:35Speaker 1: back when you guys are you know, old man, but yeah,
- 1:43:38Speaker 1: your old man kind of corralled you guys up. We'll
- 1:43:41Speaker 1: get to do it with Scotty and Scarlet. I mean,
- 1:43:43Speaker 1: Scotty's what eight months older than Scarlet. Yeah, it'll be
- 1:43:47Speaker 1: fun once they get old enough, man.
- 1:43:49Speaker 3: Dude, that will be fun. That That's a crazy thought
- 1:43:51Speaker 3: in itself. As I see pictures of Scotty and I
- 1:43:54Speaker 3: do the math in my head and I'm like, oh man,
- 1:43:57Speaker 3: that's crazy yes, dude, how excites me? How old was
- 1:44:00Speaker 3: she when I went over for the trailer? I don't know,
- 1:44:05Speaker 3: maybe four months, five months?
- 1:44:06Speaker 1: What month was the trailer?
- 1:44:08Speaker 3: What month was the trailer release?
- 1:44:10Speaker 1: The chef wasn't with me, wasn't here.
- 1:44:12Speaker 3: Fuck, dude, So let's just say three months ago.
- 1:44:15Speaker 1: I don't know, two months ago, three eight episodes, three
- 1:44:19Speaker 1: months maybe I'm already thinking of, like, so Scotty was
- 1:44:21Speaker 1: like five months old?
- 1:44:22Speaker 3: Yeah? And how happy she was for feeds? How where
- 1:44:25Speaker 3: she was for feeds? How where she was of diaper change?
- 1:44:28Speaker 1: When they get aware of feeds, bro, and you kind
- 1:44:30Speaker 1: of have the bottle at night time and you kind
- 1:44:31Speaker 1: of hold it away from their mouth just to see
- 1:44:33Speaker 1: him go.
- 1:44:37Speaker 3: This move this move yeah, yeah, yeah, the where the
- 1:44:42Speaker 3: fuck is it? Yeah?
- 1:44:43Speaker 1: Or when they're done with then they're just getting out
- 1:44:45Speaker 1: of the mount, you're like, do you sure you don't
- 1:44:46Speaker 1: one more thing?
- 1:44:48Speaker 3: It's awesome? Really quick? Uh dad hack. When my hand
- 1:44:53Speaker 3: goes on doorknob, I remind myself what did Jill ask
- 1:44:56Speaker 3: me for? What she asked me to go get? Every
- 1:44:59Speaker 3: single time your hand? What do you do if you
- 1:45:01Speaker 3: don't remember? I'm sorry, I'm sorry.
- 1:45:06Speaker 1: This couple you forgot to turn off the the little
- 1:45:10Speaker 1: the bottle heater that I shouted out a few weeks ago,
- 1:45:14Speaker 1: because after you pour it, you gotta hit the power
- 1:45:16Speaker 1: button to turn it off, and I just leave that
- 1:45:17Speaker 1: thing running. Hey, power button's on again.
- 1:45:20Speaker 3: Ah. I don't have a dad hack just yet of
- 1:45:24Speaker 3: when your hand hits that doorknob, but you don't remember.
- 1:45:27Speaker 3: I will come up with one.
- 1:45:28Speaker 1: Yeah, But because if you say the dad's out there
- 1:45:31Speaker 1: when you touch the doorknob, remember what your wife said
- 1:45:34Speaker 1: my wanting to be a learning father about this? How
- 1:45:37Speaker 1: do you even remember?
- 1:45:40Speaker 3: That's what I'm saying as soon and I'm talking about
- 1:45:43Speaker 3: leaving the room right after she just told you I
- 1:45:46Speaker 3: need bottle. Okay, okay, I'm your close. It just remind
- 1:45:52Speaker 3: yourself it gets outside of three minutes. Oh yeah, I'm
- 1:45:56Speaker 3: gonna need help. You're fucking cooked. I'm doing six trips
- 1:45:59Speaker 3: for everything. Let's get to the lessons. Okay, I gotta
- 1:46:01Speaker 3: get home. Oh okay, really quick? Do you have let
- 1:46:03Speaker 3: me do what are the odd shout out fanduls? Okay,
- 1:46:05Speaker 3: go ahead, what are the odd shoutout FanDuel? We do
- 1:46:07Speaker 3: we have a sicko, an absolute sick Oh his name
- 1:46:13Speaker 3: is Mason Nestle Road. Okay, Mason said, uh, flooded the
- 1:46:20Speaker 3: basement a little too hard while on Seaman Team six
- 1:46:23Speaker 3: got the positive pregnancy test six days before the wedding.
- 1:46:28Speaker 3: I thought you told me about actually flooded the basement
- 1:46:35Speaker 3: days before the wedding. God, I love Papa Team six.
- 1:46:38Speaker 1: I love the squad.
- 1:46:39Speaker 3: Skipped Sperm Team six straight to Papa Team six. Come
- 1:46:43Speaker 3: this January, let's go announce the butN in the oven.
- 1:46:46Speaker 3: At the rehearsal dinner the night before the wedding, he
- 1:46:49Speaker 3: sent me a video. I'll send you all this stuff.
- 1:46:53Speaker 3: We're crazy and we're waiting to find out the gender
- 1:46:56Speaker 3: until birth. But based off these last two sonograms, pretty
- 1:47:00Speaker 3: sure it's a baby boy. He drew a little diesel
- 1:47:02Speaker 3: piece on this undergram. This guy's a sick of a
- 1:47:06Speaker 3: true PT six.
- 1:47:07Speaker 1: Six dude completed buds and didn't even mean the complete buds.
- 1:47:12Speaker 1: And for new listeners, that is breeding until dad status.
- 1:47:17Speaker 1: He was busting until dad status.
- 1:47:19Speaker 3: He was busting until dad status. And the what are
- 1:47:23Speaker 3: the odds are it is a or fifty to fifty odds?
- 1:47:27Speaker 3: I guess if it's a boy or a girl. We
- 1:47:29Speaker 3: won't know. They're gonna find out when baby comes out.
- 1:47:33Speaker 3: I think that we gotta have a follow up there,
- 1:47:35Speaker 3: we do. But Mason, thank you for writing. And that
- 1:47:39Speaker 3: made me laugh really hard at like three thirty.
- 1:47:41Speaker 6: Am.
- 1:47:42Speaker 3: Oh that is a good one. Hey. He sent so
- 1:47:44Speaker 3: many pictures, dude sent like videos from the wedding. They
- 1:47:47Speaker 3: had one of those cameras that does the slow mode
- 1:47:49Speaker 3: three sixty and it's just all of his boys with
- 1:47:52Speaker 3: their asses out on the camp.
- 1:47:56Speaker 1: It's a guy, he's built for proper, all right. So
- 1:48:02Speaker 1: the lesson segment this is this was just gonna be
- 1:48:05Speaker 1: a simple quote because again, I gotta make it home
- 1:48:07Speaker 1: for for bad time. Yeah, and I'm probably missing some
- 1:48:10Speaker 1: of bad time. I'm gonna have to make it home
- 1:48:11Speaker 1: for bedtime because I told my wife's seven seven ten.
- 1:48:15Speaker 1: It is now seven o'clock, so it'll probably be like
- 1:48:17Speaker 1: seven fifteen, seven twenty walk in that door.
- 1:48:19Speaker 3: Okay, I'm sorry.
- 1:48:20Speaker 1: You know we tried to keep it under an hour.
- 1:48:22Speaker 3: Yeah, Jared just texted me and said that he's showing
- 1:48:24Speaker 3: up to my house around six forty five seven for
- 1:48:27Speaker 3: dinner tonight.
- 1:48:28Speaker 1: Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, we'll get this quote out of
- 1:48:31Speaker 1: seven pm because This is one I learned from a
- 1:48:34Speaker 1: gentleman today. I was at a picnic for back to school.
- 1:48:37Speaker 1: Ruth's going to school this month, and al Ru's going
- 1:48:39Speaker 1: to school next month in aug Is it August.
- 1:48:43Speaker 3: August? August?
- 1:48:44Speaker 1: Yeah, the middle of August, like August thirteenth is Ru's
- 1:48:46Speaker 1: first day of school. Yes, parents, I'm gonna take it.
- 1:48:50Speaker 1: My wife and I were gonna take it way harder
- 1:48:52Speaker 1: than Rue does, because it's just buddy.
- 1:48:54Speaker 3: Time is flying by.
- 1:48:55Speaker 1: First. The police's gonna go hard, hard, bro, I'm talking.
- 1:49:00Speaker 1: I hit the post her debt. Oh, so you're most muscular.
- 1:49:09Speaker 1: But I was talking to this gentleman at this picnic
- 1:49:11Speaker 1: while we're out in ninety five degree heat, trying to
- 1:49:13Speaker 1: avoid small talk, as dads tried to do when you're
- 1:49:15Speaker 1: at these outings, of course, And I was talking to
- 1:49:17Speaker 1: a gentleman and we were kind of talking about, you know,
- 1:49:19Speaker 1: just being in the suck.
- 1:49:20Speaker 3: Like I was like, dude, I hear you.
- 1:49:22Speaker 1: I was trying to get Ru here, and she wanted
- 1:49:24Speaker 1: to go as a queen, so she wanted to wear
- 1:49:25Speaker 1: a two two over her outfit we had her. She
- 1:49:27Speaker 1: wanted to wear a two two. She wanted to have
- 1:49:28Speaker 1: the wand she wanted to have the wings.
- 1:49:30Speaker 3: She wanted to have the.
- 1:49:30Speaker 1: Crown, and was losing her mind to where we're having
- 1:49:33Speaker 1: a little bit of a tiff, a little bit of
- 1:49:34Speaker 1: a dust up at home. Mom goes out the car.
- 1:49:36Speaker 1: I just pick her up and I'm like, hey, sweetheart, Elsa.
- 1:49:39Speaker 1: When she goes to outings as a queen or a princess,
- 1:49:41Speaker 1: like she's got to go talk to people and socialize
- 1:49:43Speaker 1: and joy. She's got to play and do things that
- 1:49:46Speaker 1: she doesn't want to do. And she you know, when
- 1:49:48Speaker 1: she goes into her car seat, she can't wear wings
- 1:49:49Speaker 1: because when you're in the car seat, you can't wear
- 1:49:51Speaker 1: the wings. We got to get the wings off. But
- 1:49:53Speaker 1: at this point she does want to get the wings off.
- 1:49:55Speaker 1: We go to the picnic. We have a great time.
- 1:49:57Speaker 1: It's at a playground. They're playing, they're doing all this stuff.
- 1:49:59Speaker 1: So I'm talking to this gentle on the side and
- 1:50:01Speaker 1: we're kind of recapping these stories of being in the trenches. Okay,
- 1:50:03Speaker 1: and he and me with a quote that I thought
- 1:50:05Speaker 1: was a bar I think his name is Josh. Shout
- 1:50:07Speaker 1: out Josh, Shout out Josh. And he said, when I'm
- 1:50:10Speaker 1: in those moments I try to do my best. What's
- 1:50:13Speaker 1: going to be the best for them thirty years from
- 1:50:15Speaker 1: now versus thirty seconds from now. On taking the extra moment,
- 1:50:20Speaker 1: it's like whether you're whether they're in it and you're
- 1:50:23Speaker 1: sitting there with them while they're crying, whether they ruse
- 1:50:25Speaker 1: in a phase where it's like I don't want you
- 1:50:27Speaker 1: in the room, get out of the room. So I'm like, okay,
- 1:50:29Speaker 1: I just let her know that that will be I'm
- 1:50:30Speaker 1: gonna leave the room. That is going to be right
- 1:50:32Speaker 1: outside with a calm voice. That is gonna be a
- 1:50:34Speaker 1: right outside. If you need me, just let me know
- 1:50:35Speaker 1: if you need help, because I love you, Yeah, because
- 1:50:37Speaker 1: I love you. Whether you take a second to tell
- 1:50:40Speaker 1: them a story about one of their favorite characters, just
- 1:50:42Speaker 1: whenever you're in those moments and they're losing their shit
- 1:50:44Speaker 1: versus like compliance grab them all this stuff. We have
- 1:50:47Speaker 1: those moments. It happens. But that quote that bar of
- 1:50:51Speaker 1: I try to think about how I will want them
- 1:50:53Speaker 1: to be thirty years from now versus thirty seconds from now.
- 1:50:55Speaker 1: It just reminds you to like, just take those moments,
- 1:50:58Speaker 1: have that calm voice, stay in it, let them know, hey,
- 1:51:01Speaker 1: if they don't want you around them right now. I'll
- 1:51:02Speaker 1: be right outside if you don't need me, whether you
- 1:51:04Speaker 1: find a moment to be like, hey, Elsa, she goes
- 1:51:06Speaker 1: to parties too as the queen, and when she's the queen,
- 1:51:08Speaker 1: she doesn't wear wings and she socialized if she doesn't
- 1:51:11Speaker 1: want to socialize, and they kind of stop crying and
- 1:51:12Speaker 1: they're kind of like sitting there thinking.
- 1:51:14Speaker 3: Elsa goes to picnics all the time. Name Anna literally said,
- 1:51:18Speaker 3: but it's a ball room with no ball and there's.
- 1:51:20Speaker 1: Another story out there where she gets really frustrated and
- 1:51:22Speaker 1: doesn't want to go, just like you're being It's okay
- 1:51:24Speaker 1: to be frustrated. I can tell you're overwhelmed. I can
- 1:51:26Speaker 1: tell you're frustrated, but let's just take a beat. Or
- 1:51:29Speaker 1: if it's beyond that and you have a little data
- 1:51:32Speaker 1: el to where you get, you lose it for a second,
- 1:51:36Speaker 1: reminding yourself to go back to the conversation later in
- 1:51:38Speaker 1: the day when they're cool, calm, collected, whether it's at bedtime,
- 1:51:41Speaker 1: you might just say, hey, remember dad, Hey, I'm sorry
- 1:51:44Speaker 1: for getting mad at you earlier. You know why Daddy
- 1:51:46Speaker 1: got mad at you, And they might just say I
- 1:51:47Speaker 1: was sad or I was frustrated. Yeah, And you know
- 1:51:49Speaker 1: when you get frustrated, it just you know domino effect.
- 1:51:52Speaker 1: You talk to him about the ripple effect, and you
- 1:51:55Speaker 1: kind of just give them a little lesson on how
- 1:51:57Speaker 1: you would like their behavior to be when it's calm,
- 1:52:00Speaker 1: because when you get frustrated, then Mom might get frustured
- 1:52:02Speaker 1: Dadad gets frustrated. I did a poor job of being
- 1:52:04Speaker 1: frustrated back to you. I should have sat with you.
- 1:52:06Speaker 1: I should have empathized with you, because I know it
- 1:52:08Speaker 1: gets sad and frustrating at times, and you get mad
- 1:52:11Speaker 1: and you get overwhelmed, but you gotta know it's gonna
- 1:52:14Speaker 1: be all right, and you gotta know when that happens.
- 1:52:16Speaker 1: If Dad can say something to you in the moment
- 1:52:18Speaker 1: where we can remind and get back to even keel,
- 1:52:22Speaker 1: that would be the what I've thought about since that
- 1:52:25Speaker 1: gentleman Josh gave me that quote earlier today at the picnic.
- 1:52:29Speaker 3: It's a bar. That is a bar. It's a bar.
- 1:52:33Speaker 3: It is like the even the little moments of like
- 1:52:36Speaker 3: you bringing up the monsters at the playground and stuff
- 1:52:38Speaker 3: like those little games and everything that are like the
- 1:52:41Speaker 3: quick solves, like that's obviously not gonna affect her in
- 1:52:44Speaker 3: thirty years. She's not gonna be afraid of it.
- 1:52:46Speaker 1: Right, But it is like change, it's like doing things
- 1:52:48Speaker 1: to try and change their frame of mind. Yes, and
- 1:52:51Speaker 1: if you're beyond that, it's like, okay, you don't want
- 1:52:53Speaker 1: to see that right now, a sweetheart, Hey, that that
- 1:52:56Speaker 1: is going to leave the room. I'll just be out
- 1:52:57Speaker 1: here if you need me, yeah, or if you your
- 1:53:00Speaker 1: shit on him, you come back around to it. But
- 1:53:01Speaker 1: it's yeah, it's a nice juggle, man. It's a fun
- 1:53:04Speaker 1: it's a fun little balance and challenge. Sometimes not fun,
- 1:53:07Speaker 1: but anyway, we gotta roll.
