We're your hosts, Chelsea, Jacqueline and Rebecca, three estheticians in three different time zones obsessed with skin, business and the beauty of connection. No topic is off limits. This is the unfiltered side of skin. Let's get into it. Chelsea: Welcome back to the SD Insider Podcast. We are back from our summer break. So happy to be here. So excited. Rebecca told us that we needed to start doing the podcast again because she was talking excessively to all Jaclyn Kylie: But Rebekah: I was talking too much. Chelsea: of her service providers. Jaclyn Kylie: she's like, You guys I need a yap, I need a yap such an ASAP. Rebekah: No, I literally went to the hairdresser and I just know she like exhaled so hard when I left, like, holy crap, that girl can talk. And I'm like, I just need to do the podcast again. Get it all out. We Chelsea: That girl needs to get out more. Rebekah: I was like going a mile and then I think I would I had a lot to say. I have a lot to say. Chelsea: I know. I know. I do that to my poor nail girl all the time, which but I love her and Rebekah: Yeah. Chelsea: we she like anyway, but I know what you mean. Yes. They need a nap. Rebekah: You know they're exhausted when we leave. Seriously. Whoops. So I'm glad to be back. Chelsea: Me too. Jaclyn Kylie: I know I missed it. Chelsea: We are officially calling this season two. we were just talking about how it we're coming up on a year of our podcast, which I am actually really impressed. For me personally, I am not one to start something and then continue and follow through. I've gotten Jaclyn Kylie: Same. Chelsea: better at that, but Rebekah: Yeah. Chelsea: for majority of my life, I'm a lot of talk. I know. Jaclyn Kylie: I was nervous. I was nervous we were gonna invest in all this gear and then we were gonna do like a month and then we would just like forget about it. But I'm so proud of us for Chelsea: Yeah. Jaclyn Kylie: pulling through. We're almost at a year, which is crazy. Yeah. Rebekah: Look at us. I love Chelsea: Yep. And it Rebekah: it. Chelsea: it just goes to show you you don't it doesn't have to be perfect to start you just have to do it and then you figure it out. No, we still don't Jaclyn Kylie: Yep. That's what I learned. Mm mm. Rebekah: And you don't have to know what you're doing. Because we still don't because we still don't know. Whoops. That's all right. We'll figure it out. Fuck around and find out. That's my motto. Chelsea: hey. Rebekah: You know? And Jaclyn Kylie: Yeah. Rebekah: we're finding out. So we're Chelsea: We're we are finding out. Rebekah: gonna do just like a shoot the shit episode, which I think we are well overdue because I feel like we didn't really talk that much over the summer. I mean, we talked sporadically, but like what's going on? We have to each take it one by one. New life events, new businesses, new anyone pregnant? Chelsea: gosh, no. Jaclyn Kylie: Are you pregnant? Rebekah: Me? No, I'm fixed. I wish I was I wish I was pregnant. I would I would love a third child, but Chelsea: Well, that's what Jaclyn Kylie: Awww Chelsea: we are ta we are talking. I have so many pregnant clients right now. And Rebekah: A detail. Chelsea: actually I Jaclyn Kylie: Me too. Chelsea: should say they've started having babies. It was, you know, back in like January is when I swear usually I have maybe like two or three pregnant clients at a time. Rebekah: Mm. Chelsea: And I had I have probably there was like a wave of eight. I guess they were they were getting it done. They were celebrating. Rebekah: They were busy over Christmas. Christmas gifts. Jaclyn Kylie: All my clients all my clients are getting married in this month and next month. And I just know that a baby is going to follow very shortly after that. Very shortly. It's wedding prep, Chelsea: Yes, yeah. You get that baby wave. Rebekah: Mm-hmm. Jaclyn Kylie: then I got the baby hormones, and then I'm gonna have the baby and then yeah. So they need a routine new yeah. Chelsea: Yeah. Yeah, that's Rebekah: And then do you want to come down? Yeah. Chelsea: true. But I was talking to one of my clients is a labor and delivery nurse. And I was saying that I'm like, I have so many pregnant clients right now. And she works nights. And she said, We had the busiest night I've ever worked in my life. And I was like, Well, how like what's a normal, what's an average like amount number of births? And she's like, probably seven or eight. And I was like, Okay, go, well, how many were were that night? And she said, Twenty-five. Rebekah: Whoa. Chelsea: Twenty-five. Jaclyn Kylie: When were they getting busy? When were they getting busy? Rebekah: They were just flying out. Dang. Jaclyn Kylie: What what would be their conception date? Chelsea: I think that's it would have been like Rebekah: Christmas. Around Christ like Thanksgiving, Christmas? Chelsea: like New Year. Yeah, 'cause it's it was August, so eight. Yeah. So yeah. Thanksgiving, Christmas. Yeah. Jaclyn Kylie: Okay. Okay. Yeah, I feel like there's just there was just not really this wave of kids recently and I don't know why that like well, I guess everyone's getting married now and having kids, but it's crazy how it's all right now. Rebekah: So I want to hear Jacqueline about your new space. I know that not to like not to like force you what to talk about, but I know that Jaclyn Kylie: my god, you guys, I did it. No. Chelsea: Yes. Yes. Rebekah: it is a big thing that happened to you over the summer. So Jaclyn Kylie: Yeah. Rebekah: tell us about it. Chelsea: Yeah, tell tell us the good, tell us the bad, tell us what you learned. Jaclyn Kylie: Yeah, yeah. no, I Rebekah: Are you are you hating your life? Are you loving it? Jaclyn Kylie: I'm gonna be honest, I'm lonely. I'm very, very lonely right now. But it's because I moved out of a salon boutique and into a building by myself. And but I can't believe that like I was literally I need to find the episode I was talking about it with you guys of like this year I wanna get a new space and like I wanna move out into a building because I can like literally pay the same amount but like have more rooms. Rebekah: Yeah. Jaclyn Kylie: so I did it in in May. I found the space and it's literally three minutes from my house, which is crazy. Like I could Rebekah: Amazing. Chelsea: Amazing. Jaclyn Kylie: walk. and I moved in in August. So I I signed the lease and then got it in July and then moved in in August. And it's been good. It's been like a lot of learning, curves and and just like stepping out of my comfort zone. And I'm still trying to find renters for the rooms. Because the type of space I want to do is going to be more of like a collective of other businesses, not just me, because I'm not ready to have employees yet. So the concept is called well, the place is called My Third Place Skin and Wellness. And it's inspired by the third place theory. Have you guys ever heard of it? Third place theory? It's really cool theory. Yeah. If you've seen my videos, yeah. Chelsea: No, I feel like you talked about it, but I I know, but remind Rebekah: I I think you took yeah, it's like the third place Chelsea: me, yeah. Jaclyn Kylie: Yeah, so it's like, you know, your first place is your home, your second place is your work, typically. Like, where's your third place? Like, where do you want to spend your time at? Some people are the gym, some people are outdoors, coffee shops. I want this place to be a third place for people. and so with Rebekah: Mm. It's cute. Chelsea: I like that. Jaclyn Kylie: that, I really loved it. I saw it on TikTok like a couple years ago and I was like, I'm stealing this. and so yeah, I mean, essentially, like, you know. people clients that we already have, like this we are their third place a lot of the time. Like obviously they can't come in every single day and get a facial, but like when they do, they really feel like it's an escape. So that's what I'm shooting for for this place, except I want other established wellness professionals to join and so we can build referrals and create like a community in that space. and yeah, but that's been the most challenging part, I'm not gonna lie. That's why I say I'm lonely is because I'm I was surrounded by people in salon boutique. It's just a salon style, you know, or boutique Rebekah: Right. Jaclyn Kylie: style place where there's just everybody's in a room. And now it's just me. And then my friend, actually my friend Liana, she is an aesthetician. We met in Vegas three years ago when I became an ambassador. And we I just randomly sat by her and her friend and I was like, where are you guys from? And they're like, Arizona. I'm like, where at? And then they they were like really nearby. And so Liana and I just kind of Kept a relationship and we would help each other with products. And then she posted that she's on 12th Street and Camelback. And I was like, I'm on 16th and Highland, which is very you guys are like, where is that? But it's like Chelsea: yeah. Yeah. Jaclyn Kylie: very close. And I was like, wait, no way. And she's like, there is a space next to me. And so we literally share a building. So she has, I have Rebekah: Yeah. Jaclyn Kylie: my side, and then she has hers, but you know, we have different schedules and things like that. So sometimes we'll leave the common door, which is my laundry room. We'll leave it open just in case we see each other in passing and stuff, which has helped so much because it is so quiet. But Rebekah: Yeah. Jaclyn Kylie: I know that it's gonna take some time to get people. And I the thing is is I am posting on TikTok and Instagram and Facebook and all this and that. But at the end of the day, I really want to know the person. And that's what's the hardest part is like, okay, Chelsea: Okay. Jaclyn Kylie: you know Here's the building, here's my concept. do you like it? But also like, how are you as a person type of thing? Rebekah: And are you like in a rush to fill these rooms? Or are you like, you know what, I'm gonna just slow down, take my time, the right person will come. I'm in no I'm not stressing about it. Or are you like internally you're freaking out. You are. Yeah. Jaclyn Kylie: I'm stressing. Yeah. I'm if Chelsea: Okay. Jaclyn Kylie: I'm being honest and I wanted to actually make a like TikTok on this. I did di I did this with no loan. I did this with savings Chelsea: Yeah. Jaclyn Kylie: and literally taking a pay cut. I I didn't pay myself for three weeks this past Rebekah: Yeah. Yeah. Jaclyn Kylie: month. And to me, that's never happened in my seven years of business, which I knew I was very lucky for that to not happen. So Rebekah: Yeah. Jaclyn Kylie: But I am stressed because I want to decorate the space and I wanna do all these things. But at the end of the day, I have to keep inventory on the shelves and I have to make sure that I have my products and I have to Chelsea: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Jaclyn Kylie: you know, pay myself. Like I, you know, I've thank God I didn't have to tap into my personal savings for my business, but I will have to tap into my personal savings for myself. but it's it's stressful. Like I can my my bookkeeper told me that I can I have a max amount of rent that I can handle. And I'm a little couple hundred dollars below that. So obviously I know that that's okay, but it's like, my gosh, if I could get people in there and then, you know, start renting out the rooms like Chelsea: Yeah. It's cutting it's cutting into you being able to do other things. Yeah. Rebekah: Yes. Jaclyn Kylie: Yeah, yeah. But at least I didn't take out a loan. And that's and I could go do that easily today, you know? But I'm choosing not to go that route because yeah, so one full month, yeah, but it's Rebekah: And you've only been there one month. This is the second month. Yeah. Jaclyn Kylie: three full months of rent have been paid. Actually, four months of rent have been paid, because first and last month's deposit, so it's just like all at once. Rebekah: right, right, right. Yeah. Chelsea: Yes, it's b I know. Jaclyn Kylie: my god. Last month I was panicking. but Rebekah: It's scary. Yeah. Jaclyn Kylie: That's okay. We go through like I know it's like everybody I talked to, they were like, Y it's okay. You're gonna see like you're gonna be so successful after this or like you know, you're gonna see the light at the end of the tunnel, like this is normal. And I'm like, I know, but like it's stressful. Rebekah: What's that quote? It's like amazing things were always on the other side of fear. Like the the the reason Jaclyn Kylie: Mm. Rebekah: it's scary is because like something great. It's growth, it's different. If you Chelsea: Yes. It's growth. You're growing. Yeah. Yeah. Jaclyn Kylie: I love that. Rebekah: were to stay the same in the same salon suite, yeah, it'd be comfortable. It would be. And it's predictable. But in order for you to Jaclyn Kylie: Yeah. Pretty good mm-hmm. Rebekah: to scale and get to that next level, you do some you have to take a risk. And that's what you're doing. I'm proud of you. That's amazing. It looks gorgeous. Jaclyn Kylie: Yeah. Yeah. I'm like Chelsea: Yeah. And can I can I give you a l a little advice just on Jaclyn Kylie: Yeah, thank you. Yes. Chelsea: don't I know you want to find like everybody I know they're not employees, but it everybody wants to find the perfect employee or the perfect person to fill the space. And while Jaclyn Kylie: Yeah. Chelsea: you want to be picky about that, it's also like you could find what you think on paper is the perfect person and then it doesn't work out. I think you Jaclyn Kylie: Yeah. Chelsea: need I think you need to the hardest part I feel of bringing other people into your business is is when it doesn't work out knowing how to handle it and how Jaclyn Kylie: Mm-hmm. Chelsea: to and not letting it that's that's I still have to work on that where I let Rebekah: Mm-hmm. Jaclyn Kylie: Mm-hmm. Chelsea: things go on too long because I'm like, no now I got the now I have to be the mean person. Now I have to be the one Jaclyn Kylie: Mm-hmm. Chelsea: that tells them to leave or how and but that's part of growth and running and finding your Jaclyn Kylie: Yeah. Chelsea: people and you're not you might find the perfect person in those rooms right away, but you might have to go through a few of them. That's that's the Jaclyn Kylie: Yeah. Chelsea: that's the reality Rebekah: Yeah. Chelsea: of business. And Jaclyn Kylie: Yeah. And I'm expecting I'm like pref like trying to prep myself for that because it's like, well, if I'm gonna have employees one day, like they're not gonna be perfect. Like you, Chelsea: Yeah. Jaclyn Kylie: Chelsea, have lucked out on some great employees. I mean, you've obviously been through bad. Yeah. But you've Chelsea: Right. But I went through some. Yeah. Yeah. Rebekah: Yeah. Yeah. Jaclyn Kylie: you've you've got some great employees and and I look at the other, you know, esthetician friends out there that have great employees and I'm like, okay, it's possible. Like there's people out there, but there's also Chelsea: For sure Jaclyn Kylie: that that saying that it's like nobody's going to wanna Help your business as much as you do. Like, Chelsea: Yes. Yeah. Rebekah: Right. Jaclyn Kylie: you know that you've heard that. And so it's like I have to also keep in mind that, you know, I'm asking for other businesses and they're not gonna be the same vibe as me a hundred percent. Rebekah: Right. Chelsea: Hundred percent, yeah. Jaclyn Kylie: And I don't have a say in that. And and I'm and I'm accepting of that because I do want something, like I don't want it to be all beige and plain, you know. But because I'm very beige at my place. I need to add more color. but I'm just like I want some more just like personality. Chelsea: I'm very beige. Rebekah: Jacqueline Kylie. She's very beige. Chelsea: I'm very beige. Jaclyn Kylie: I'm very beige. I'm very beige. But no, I I'm just a neutral. And just and and I need Chelsea: She's just a neutral kind of gal. Rebekah: That's all right. That's all right. Jaclyn Kylie: some, I need something different or like just like different, I don't know, things to elevate, you know, me as a business owner and things like that. But no, thank you. I do need to remind myself that like, you know, I'm gonna probably go through a couple, but Chelsea: Yeah. Yes. Jaclyn Kylie: at least like it starts the process of it. I just want this, I just feel like it needs to be alive. Like it's not alive yet. Like the concept is not alive yet. Chelsea: Sure, yeah. Jaclyn Kylie: And once it gets alive, it's like, okay, this is what it looks like. And I've had to pivot so much in the Chelsea: Yeah. Jaclyn Kylie: last three months. I have gone with, okay, I'm gonna only do these types of people, only these types of people. And then I'm like, wait, what about content create like like a content room, content studio? Okay, great. Now what about an another aesthetician? I was so not for another esthetician because I was like, okay. You know, I I would be the esthetician of the place, and then here's the nurse practitioner of the place and here's the massage therapist of the place. But then I was like, wait, I don't specialize in aging. I don't specialize in, you know, other things other than acne. Chelsea: Sure. Jaclyn Kylie: So it's like, let me bring that on. But it's hard because, you know, estheticians can do so many different they can specialize in so many different things. So, mm-hmm. Chelsea: Yeah. Waxer. There could be somebody who's just a waxer. Rebekah: Mm. Jaclyn Kylie: Yeah. My friend Rebekah: Yeah. Jaclyn Kylie: Carly's gonna move in. I think in October, Chelsea: Okay. Jaclyn Kylie: but she's only gonna be doing a couple days a week. So, so I'm just gonna make a room for her, like a one of my f a flex room and have her, and then maybe like if another esthetician wants that room too, they can they can share it. But I'm trying to find like the perfect like I have so many esthetician friends that have their own businesses in Phoenix or in Arizona, but they're so far. but they specialize in different things, like completely different things. And I just love Rebekah: Mm-hmm. Yeah. Jaclyn Kylie: that because I'm like, wait, I wanna refer to this person and like, build referrals within each other. And and yeah, so I pivot a lot. Rebekah: That's kind of how it is here at this suite that I rent. There's there's four of us. One, it's me, and then the other esthetician that I rent from. She does a lot of like longer, like 90-minute facials that does a lot of massage, relaxation. She also does body waxing. and then we have a massage therapist, and then we have one more esthetician that does a lot of like microblading, eyebrows, things like that. So Jaclyn Kylie: I didn't know that, that's awesome. Rebekah: so we're all separate entities, but we're all in the same Jaclyn Kylie: Yeah. Rebekah: spa. but we all rent. Separate rooms, but we all specialize in something just like a little bit different to set us apart from each other, which is kind of nice. Yeah. So Jaclyn Kylie: That's what I want, yeah. Chelsea: Do you do you ever get referrals from the other? Yeah. See see Jacqueline, you could Rebekah: All the time. Cause the the lady I rent from Jaclyn Kylie: Yeah, I bet. Rebekah: like wants nothing to do with acne. She doesn't Chelsea: Yes. Rebekah: take teens. She doesn't take acne clients. She hates doing extractions. So anything that has to Chelsea: Yeah. Rebekah: do with acne, she's like, go see Rebecca. Yeah. All the time. Yeah. Jaclyn Kylie: Like yeah. Chelsea: Yeah. Yeah. Which is great. Like that's yeah. Jaclyn Kylie: Yeah. That's what I want. That's what that's what I exactly what I want where it's like, you know, i say like I don't wanna do say I wanted to step away from like longer facials. Well boom, I could just, you know, refer them out to somebody. But also it's like any new people that come in or whatever and I can't take anymore, well great, I can refer it out or vice versa. but I just I do want that that like separate niche. Rebekah: Yeah, we're ever not everybody's doing the same thing. Jaclyn Kylie: Because yeah, Chelsea: Sure, sure, yeah. Jaclyn Kylie: because then it gets confusing and it's repetitive. The whole point of the place is to, you know, I don't want like in in that case, then I would just hire an employee to be specializing in acne too if I was just gonna have like an another acne specialist. But Rebekah: Right. Jaclyn Kylie: I want somebody that's not an employee yet to to do that. but and it's just about finding the right people and networking and talking about it and just like sharing the concept. Over and over and over again. It's a whole nother brand. Rebekah: Yeah. Chelsea: Yeah. Yeah. Rebekah: Amazing. Anything Jaclyn Kylie: whole nother brand. Yeah. Rebekah: personally? New? Jaclyn Kylie: Nope, nothing nothing personally to report. I'm trying to think what else. Rebekah: Why are you smiling like that? Jaclyn Kylie: No, I'm I don't know. And you guys are frozen. Chelsea: Really? Rebekah: No, we're not. Jaclyn Kylie: well you guys are frozen on my Rebekah: You're w you're on an iPad, okay? So that's your problem. Yeah, it sounds like an iPad problem. that's right. I saw that. I saw that. Chelsea: That's so sounds like a skill issue. Jaclyn Kylie: yeah, no, I have a I have a personal problem going on. My computer screen is broken. Yeah. And so on top of on top of, you know, the move and the biggest credit card bill of my life, Chelsea: Yeah, yeah. Jaclyn Kylie: and not paying myself for three weeks, my computer decides to break. Actually, so funny, Rebekah: Course. Jaclyn Kylie: I I got the computer in 2019 when I opened my business and I'm celebrating seven years tomorrow. And my computer's broken, so I get a new bro new computer as a little gift. Chelsea: there you go. Rebekah: Stuff like that never happens when like you have the busiest week, the Jaclyn Kylie: No. Rebekah: most fulfilling week, the biggest retail orders of your life when you feel like the money's flowing in. Never happens then. Always happens when you're like scraping pennies. Yeah. Chelsea: Yeah, yeah. Jaclyn Kylie: Yeah. Exactly. So thank God Chelsea: Yeah, yeah. Jaclyn Kylie: for Apple credit cards, zero percent financing for twelve months. Those are the Chelsea: Hey. Rebekah: Gorgeous. Jaclyn Kylie: types of loans I'm doing is the those payment plan things. Zero percent interest. Those are the those are so fun. It's Chelsea: yeah, the zero percent. Yeah. Because it you're not you're not paying more money. Those are so fun. Rebekah: Zero percent. That's the way to do it. So fun. It's free. Jaclyn Kylie: free for a month. Chelsea: Like free money. Jaclyn Kylie: No, I I pay that I pay that off monthly, but it's still nice to know there's zero percent interest. I'm in control, Rebekah: That is nice. Chelsea: Yeah! Jaclyn Kylie: like it's super easy and it's not forever. So that that's Rebekah: Yes. Chelsea: Hundred percent. Yeah. Jaclyn Kylie: what's good. well, I'm dying to know, Rebecca. I it's so it's so hard to talk to you guys when you guys are frozen. But Chelsea: I know, that's where Jaclyn Kylie: Rebecca, how okay, so Rebecca texted us. I don't know if I'm you we can cut this out if you don't want it. Out but you Rebekah: Okay. Jaclyn Kylie: r you texted us saying that you might think about hiring an employee. So Rebekah: Yeah. Jaclyn Kylie: where has that gone? Rebekah: You know, as Justin Bieber says, never say never. And I've always said I've always said I would never hire an employee. Never say never. Yes. Okay. Jaclyn Kylie: Never say ever. Yes. At all of last year in the podcast. Chelsea: Okay. Rebekah: Backtrack. We got a backtrack with with like life updates. Okay. I've got like a couple. Okay, over the Chelsea: Yeah. yeah. Yeah. Jaclyn Kylie: Okay. Yes, yes, yes. Rebekah: summer, let's see. I got sexually harassed. I bought a s I bought a second house. Chelsea: Yeah. Rebekah: I th Jaclyn Kylie: Yeah. Rebekah: gonna hire an employee. And my god, you guys, this morning I found a new mole on me. So, Jaclyn Kylie: Mm. Chelsea: Wow. Yeah. Rebekah: you know, lots going on. Chelsea: Yeah. Rebekah: Prayers up for them all. But I'm Jaclyn Kylie: You're going through it, girl. You are going through it. Rebekah: so the reason why I've been thinking of an employee, actually, I wasn't even thinking of an employee. My cousin's daughter, so I don't even know what that would make her. My second cousin, whatever. She Chelsea: and stuff I know, I never know what the yeah. I don't yeah. Jaclyn Kylie: Mm-hmm, mm-hmm. Rebekah: did when she was in high school, like four or five years ago, that they have this program where when they're seniors in high school, they have to kind of shadow someone that they're kind of interested in taking a career path with. Jaclyn Kylie: Ouais. Rebekah: For like three days. And she contacted Chelsea: Yes. Rebekah: me years ago and was like, Hey, I might be interested in aesthetics. I don't know. I was like, Yeah, you can shadow me. And basically I just made her like package up orders and do laundry, which was fabulous. So whatever. Jaclyn Kylie: Perfect. Yeah. Rebekah: She ended up going to college, which is fine. And then she ended up booking a facial with me last year and was like, Hey, I'm graduated from college. I'm really th still thinking about aesthetics. And I was like, do it. And then I was giving her some advice, like, you should always, in my opinion, Going solo right out of school is really tough. Not to say it's not doable, but get us get educated on someone else's dime, let them show you the ropes, all that fun stuff. So she came to see Jaclyn Kylie: Yeah. Mm-hmm. Rebekah: me again a couple months ago. And if you guys don't know, we did buy a second house up from where my parents are. My mom, my parents are getting old. My mom has dementia, and I just want to be around them so much more often. I feel like time is moving so quickly and I'm losing time. So our goal moving forward is to be there part-time, especially in the summers. So like two weeks down here, I'll work and then I'll go up for two or three weeks and spend time up there. Anyway. So we did this. We put an offer on a place on the lake. And then literally that same week, this girl comes to me and was like, Would you ever think of hiring an employee once I get my license? And I was like, I am a such a believer. I'm I'm a little woo-woo when it comes to timing, because timing has always worked out with me, like in weird ways like that. Chelsea: Yes. A hundred percent. Yeah. I don't think it's just coincidence. Yeah. Rebekah: We like it was literally Jaclyn Kylie: Mm-hmm. Rebekah: three days after they accepted our offer on this place. And I was like, you know, if I'm planning on spending so much time up there, I I don't want to just abandon my business and my clients and how are they gonna get a product down here? Like, how can they pick up product? And I like, you know, I know this girl. I've literally known her since she was born. She is she has a great work ethic, she has a good support system at home for someone who's just gonna be starting out. I trust her. I know that she's smart and eager, Jaclyn Kylie: No. Rebekah: like almost like, ooh. Jaclyn Kylie: He's it's the city. Living in the city. I tried. Rebekah: All right. She has she has like she she has very similar mindset to me when I was starting out. Like I'm willing to do anything. Like I want to learn. I want to just like get dirty and like work weird hours if I have to, like very eager, which I think Jaclyn Kylie: Yeah. Rebekah: is half of the problem with some newer aestheticians. You just gotta be eager to do whatever it is to get clientele. Chelsea: Yeah, you have to put y the time in. Yeah. Jaclyn Kylie: Mm-hmm. Rebekah: yeah. So I was like, you know what? Let me think about it. I talked to my husband about it and I was like, you know what? Cause she even she's like, she's like, would you even just mentor me? Like, I will pay you to mentor me on the side. I will pay you whatever. And I'm like, you know what? Why not make this a beneficial relationship for both of us when I you're new, I can you're moldable, I can train Chelsea: Hundred percent. Rebekah: you how I would like my clients and your future clients to be treated. I can still, you know, mentor you. But then also like when I'm gone. My clients will have someone here to put product out for them. She can manage social media when sh when I'm not here. And it just seems like a really good fit. And I'm trying Chelsea: Yes. Rebekah: to let go of the control, but it helps that I know her and I know what she's capable of. And I know she's smart and I know she's trustworthy. So Jaclyn Kylie: And you can give her like a couple of things at a time where it's like you still have that control of your business, but it's like, here's some social media, here's some packing Rebekah: Yeah. Jaclyn Kylie: orders, here's some how you do inventory, here's some and you mentor her while also having control of still doing the the clients and stuff. Rebekah: But then but then my mind wanders even more because I just have one room here. So we have to work. I can't work when she's working. So now I'm like, my God, Chelsea: You have to share a room. Yeah. You have to split, yeah. Jaclyn Kylie: Shoot, okay. Rebekah: do I need a new space? Do I need to get and and down where where I live, like commercial space is not it's hard to come by. And when you do find Jaclyn Kylie: Mm-hmm. Rebekah: it, like it's really expensive, like very, very expensive. Jaclyn Kylie: Mm-hmm. Chelsea: Just yeah. Rebekah: So my mind is my mind is like I'm I've been like just turning. all the time my mind is crazy, but I'm excited about it. I'm excited to teach Jaclyn Kylie: Yeah. Rebekah: my my degrees in education. So I am I'm excited to just have someone else here, I guess. I don't know. I'm excited. I'm also excited for not it to all be on my shoulders. Chelsea: Yeah. You know, I think it's like Jaclyn Kylie: Yeah. Rebekah: You know Chelsea: Yeah. Yeah. I mean, there's good and bad to both of it. But it I feel Rebekah: what? Mm-hmm. Chelsea: like it's like just bring her on. It'll you know, she's not gonna be crazy booked right away. It gives you some some time to grow and work out the kinks. And I mean, just like with us, I was super stressed when I partnered with Dr. Williamson. I was like, Where are you gonna see patients? And then literally twelve hours after we signed or after we did signed all the legal work to partner. I walk into work and the Jaclyn Kylie: Alright. Chelsea: the suite directly across from our like waiting room where you turned or you would turn left to come into our suite and there's a single room right across the hall. They were moving out. They've they had been in that Rebekah: Yes, see. Chelsea: space for Jaclyn Kylie: My god. Chelsea: fift fifteen years. Literally the day after. Yes. And then in Rebekah: Yeah. See. So Jaclyn Kylie: my god. Chelsea: May, so again, we needed more space because His wife, who is our RN, she started doing injections. And again, I'm like, crap, she's just gonna have to kind of float around our rooms. And the other room in the hall opened up and we were able to take that. And never yes. So you never know. Yeah. Yeah. Rebekah: Amazing. See? I just know if sh if like she ends up, yeah, Jaclyn Kylie: Which is all meant to be. Rebekah: working out, I just know a space is gonna show up. If if if she ends up working out, wanting to work more hours, we need to we need multiple rooms, I just Chelsea: Yes, yes, yeah. Jaclyn Kylie: Yeah. Rebekah: know a space is gonna show up. So I'm not stressed about that at all. I'm actually really excited about it. I'm excited to be able to spend more time up north. So yeah, that has been like the bulk Chelsea: Yes. Which the pi Jaclyn Kylie: Yeah. Chelsea: those pictures you sent, it is a beautiful with you guard I know. Jaclyn Kylie: Yeah, we're booking a trip next summer to go visit Rebecca when she invites us to come. But we're I'm ready to buy my ticket. Like I'm ready to book the dates. Rebekah: It's because it's a different world. I'm a different human up there. Chelsea: Hint hint. Rebekah: I'm a different person. It's it's go ahead. It's in the middle of nowhere. Be prepared. And like there's nothing there except for miles Chelsea: I love it. I love it. Jaclyn Kylie: Okay, period. Rebekah: and miles and miles of trees and lake and beautifulness. And it I'm a different human. Chelsea: It sounds amazing. Yes. Jaclyn Kylie: We are in the desert. We are in the brown. We don't see trees. Me and Chelsea don't see trees. Like I mean I I'm looking at a tree, but Chelsea: Mm mm. Yeah, there's a sad little Rebekah: I know. Jaclyn Kylie: it's this bush. Yeah, like happens to be green. Chelsea: Bush tree, that's yeah. Rebekah: I know it's it's like technicolor up there and everything's so quiet and like I literally left my phone up in my room there the whole time and I didn't even think about scrolling, doom scrolling, worrying about what other Chelsea: Yes. You just unplugged. Yep. Rebekah: estheticians were saying on TikTok. Like it was just so peaceful. And now that school has started back, I'm back into routine. I th literally this morning I was t I was like scrolling on TikTok, ro rolling my eyes. When I roll my eyes when I'm scrolling, that's when I know I have a problem. I'm like, I gotta get off social media. Like I I need to stop. Like if I roll my eyes at at something online, I'm like, this is I'm doing this willingly. Like I don't have to watch this. Why am I putting myself in Jaclyn Kylie: Yeah, yeah. Chelsea: Right, right. Rebekah: this position? So Jaclyn Kylie: Do I I do wanna say when we come up, like I would love to unplug Rebekah: Yes. Jaclyn Kylie: for if we could f I mean, I know Chelsea, you have kids that you have to, you know, be in contact for, but I would love to unplug even Chelsea: Like, meh, they're fine without me for three days. Rebekah: Well, the good news is is there's zero cell service. You can only unplug you can you can Jaclyn Kylie: Alright. Rebekah: only like log on when you're in the actual camp when you have Wi Fi. You there's like Chelsea: yeah, when you have Wi Fi. Yeah. Jaclyn Kylie: Okay. Rebekah: zero service. Jaclyn Kylie: Okay, okay, so we're forced to unplug. Like I still wanna like have my phone and you know, you know, text call if I need an emergency, but I'm in like social media unplugging and like for for a couple days while Rebekah: Yeah. Jaclyn Kylie: we're there. I mean we do have to, you know, share that we're there and like, you know, maybe make some fun TikToks that we never do. Or I never do. Me and Rebecca never Rebekah: Ugh. Gross. Jaclyn Kylie: do. Chelsea's so good at it. Rebekah: She's so good. She's so good. so yeah. Chelsea: Stupid. Stupid. Jaclyn Kylie: But I think that that's that's awesome, Rebecca. Like I I think that timing does have its have the it's just it's not it's not necessarily a coincidence. Like same with my building, I had been looking for, you know, a space for three years that I felt ready to go out on. And then in May, like I found it when my lease was ending in August, and it gave me a perfect amount of time Chelsea: Okay. Jaclyn Kylie: to transition over. And that's the only thing that's holding me like keep or sorry, keeping me sane about this and like not like saying like, I shouldn't have never done this is the fact that like I have been wanting this for over three years. I finally find it. It's just a couple hundred dollars more than my original room. And I have that much more space. And everybody around me is telling me that I can do it and that it's meant to be and that it's supposed to happen like this. And so I think that that's really like reassuring. And with your girl, like, I mean I know family, like people say don't hire family, don't hire friends, but like I think that that is still a a safe, you know, option too. Rebekah: I'm not worried about I mean, it's not like someone who I've spent like a million like I I spend a ton of time with on holidays or anything. Like she's far enough removed it's far enough removed where it's not Jaclyn Kylie: Yeah, yeah. Yeah. But it's nice Chelsea: Yeah, I was gonna say it seems distant enough. Yes, yes. Rebekah: awkward or wouldn't be awkward if like it didn't work out. You know. Jaclyn Kylie: Yeah, but it's still nice that you know her, you've seen her grow up, you you Rebekah: Yes. Jaclyn Kylie: know, it she is low like technically blood, like, you know, but it is far removed where you don't have to see them on on holidays and it's like if they're not you know, there's no the that awkward tension. Yeah, like Rebekah: Yeah, right. Chelsea: It makes Thanksgiving awkward. Jaclyn Kylie: you didn't pack that girl's order and I had to do it myself, and now we have beef. Rebekah: Right. Yeah. Jaclyn Kylie: no, I think I'm so excited. Yeah, no, Rebecca was strictly I'm I never want to hire an employee. Like I'd rather just work. By myself for myself, like she f the whole time and then we get a text and I'm like, Wait, what's going on? What popped up? I know, I know. I'm so excited for you. Rebekah: Here we are. Here we are. Things change. Never say never. So yeah, I'm trying to have Chelsea: Yeah. You never say never, I know. Rebekah: her start in just the fresh twenty twenty seven first week of January. I'm gonna take December fully to train her completely because Jaclyn Kylie: Mm-hmm. Rebekah: she doesn't get her license actually until November. So she'll get her license in November. I'm gonna take I wanna train her for a very long time before she starts actually Chelsea: Yeah. Yeah. Rebekah: putting hands on people. and then Yeah, January hopefully will be Jaclyn Kylie: I think that's a great place to start too like Chelsea: That's super exciting. Jaclyn Kylie: instead of like at a corporation or like a chain, it's good to I think start with small business. That's good. Rebekah: Yes. Which we don't have any here. We have one we have a massage envy that has like one esthetician or two in like South Portland, but that's it. There's no like pan and stone here. There's no chain. Chelsea: What's the pop what's the population where you're at? Rebekah: Ten thousand? Twenty thousand? I don't know. Is that big? Chelsea: yeah, yeah. So it's yeah, it is a no. I mean it's it's a Jaclyn Kylie: No, it's small. Chelsea: small, yeah, but it's not it's not like Rebekah: Where my camp is, it's about fifteen hundred. Chelsea: yeah, I was gonna say I've seen like those little towns where there's like fifteen hundred. So yeah, I mean it's still Rebekah: Yeah. Chelsea: small, but yeah. Yeah. No, I love it. Jaclyn Kylie: Sorry, Rebecca, did you have any like other personal updates too? Rebekah: No, but like this mole is like kinda crazy. It's Jaclyn Kylie: yeah, where is the mall? Chelsea: It's weird. Yeah. Rebekah: it's on my shoulder. But it's right like where my bra strap sits, so I don't know. It literally popped up within Chelsea: Yeah. Jaclyn Kylie: T Rebekah: like a week. It was not there last week, I swear to god. Jaclyn Kylie: Well, you know what you gotta do. Rebekah: So I know I check my my next Durham appointment isn't until next summer because they do it every two years for me. So I had one last summer. Chelsea: geez. Rebekah: So I don't know. I'm gonna watch it for a couple weeks and might it might just be, Chelsea: Yeah. See if it does anything. Jaclyn Kylie: C C Vincent Rebekah: you know, an age spot. Grandma's Jaclyn Kylie: Yeah. Chelsea: Or just a summer Rebekah: getting old. About. Jaclyn Kylie: Or a summer spot. Chelsea: Yeah, just being, you know, in the summer during the summers stuff Rebekah: Yeah. Chelsea: shows up. I know. Rebekah: So T B D. Jaclyn Kylie: Chelsea, what are your life updates, business and personal? Chelsea: so I feel like summer flew by. We yeah, Rebekah: It did. Jaclyn Kylie: Thank God. So hot. Chelsea: it really did. I mean for yeah, no kidding. Rebekah: Your kids started school so your kids started started school so early. Chelsea: I know. They they started what August 3rd. They get out, they Rebekah: That's so early. Chelsea: get out right after Memorial Day. Do your kids go into June? Yeah. So Rebekah: Yes. Yeah, they do. Chelsea: mine get out, and then we get so like coming up, we get a week off for fall break, and then a week off for November. So they and then we get two weeks off for spring break. So typically Rebekah: Okay, that's different. Chelsea: I think what they're doing in these these cities where it's hotter is they're kind of shortening the summers and giving more breaks because it's so hot. Yeah. You can't Jaclyn Kylie: That's what I've heard. That's what I've heard recently about Arizona. Chelsea: Yeah. So Rebekah: Wow. Can't relate. Chelsea: I don't know. There's like good and bad there's good and bad to it. I I don't mind because I feel like the summer's long enough enough that they get a summer. I think it's nine weeks. they don't they start to get bored and then they go back. Rebekah: Good. Chelsea: But then those those breaks It used to be two weeks for fall break in October and I'm like, my gosh, you just went back to school and now you have fall break and now you have Thanksgiving Rebekah: right. Right. Chelsea: and now you have I'm like, g get your ass in school. Yeah. Rebekah: Get out of here. Jaclyn Kylie: Yeah. No, that is crazy. So what is the is the fall break gonna still be two weeks or is it gonna be longer? Chelsea: No, so ours is a week. The other there so Jaclyn Kylie: Okay. Chelsea: my kids are in a spa a smaller district district district can't talk district. There's El Paso school district. That's a bigger one. they have two weeks for fall break, but Canateo, my the one that my kids are in, they changed it to they gave us one more week of summer and they dropped the second week in the fall. So but Jaclyn Kylie: Feel like that's better. Chelsea: yeah, we're like full on We got marching band season, we've got soccer season for my daughter, Rudy's Rebekah: Rudy plagiarizing plagiarizing your signature. Chelsea: I did you see that, Jacqueline? my gosh. Jaclyn Kylie: No I missed it. Rebekah: that was so funny. Chelsea: It was just in my stories. That kid's gonna kill me. He's gonna be the death of me. And the thing is, like, he's a really good kid. He's a very sweet kid. He's the kid who's always like, he'll write, he's like, Mom, are you really tired? Or like, mom, do you need help? Or like he's a sweetheart. Rebekah: Aww. Chelsea: But then he pulls the shit at school. So his math teacher, who is So my daughter Lucy's in eighth grade, Rudy's in sixth grade, so they're they're at the middle school together. And she was Lucy's volleyball and soccer coach, and she teaches math. And I love her. She's a great teacher. She's a great coach. So she texts me, and then Lucy is also friends with her daughter that's at the middle school. So we know her fairly well. And she's texted me. Her older daughter does face reality, whatever. And she texts me and I could tell she was in like teacher mode because she's like, hi Miss Wolfley. I just need to let you know that Rudy forged your signature. She sends a picture of it. my gosh. He wrote he wrote Rebekah: You should see the signature. It's so bad. Chelsea: his name and then my name. He misspelled my name and wrote it exactly how he had the handwriting of his like it is totally he didn't even try. I was like, bro. Rebekah: He didn't even try. He didn't even try. Jaclyn Kylie: Rudy Rudy my god Rudy you got it you can't go no Chelsea: You gotta change the handwriting or just do a scribble. And I've told I've told Rebekah: Knows you get a friend to do it, so it's different than your handwriting. Come on, rude. Chelsea: my kids, I was like, hey, like if you it's a if it's a permission slip for a field trip and you've and you forget to show it to me, just write my name on it. Like don't don't make the school call me well Jaclyn Kylie: god, he took that he took that way too far. Rebekah: He did. Chelsea: And I and so this was his progress report. He was like, Well, he's like, We got points for it. I forgot to have you sign it. And I'm like, it's okay. I'm not mad that you signed. I said, if it's something for Jaclyn Kylie: But Chelsea: if it's something for behavior, then yeah, I need to see it. But I'm like, bro, if you're gonna do this, you gotta do it right. He's dying. He's killing me. Yes. So he's Jaclyn Kylie: Plagiarism one one Chelsea: he's just gonna, he's gonna be he hates school. He's he's figuring Jaclyn Kylie: Mm. Chelsea: it out. I think he's gonna mature a lot this year because now you know he's got all different classes throughout the day, and it's Jaclyn Kylie: Yeah. Chelsea: so anyway, I'm sure there's more to come. But yeah, so Jaclyn Kylie: mega. Chelsea: over the summer, we took our kids to New York City for a few days. That was fun. Jaclyn Kylie: Yes. Rebekah: New York. Chelsea: we had a good time. That was kind of like our big family vacation. We had to do it early. in the summer because then it was like youth camps and Sam went to band camp in another city and I and then school and then here we are. Yeah. Rebekah: And then school. Yeah. Chelsea: I went to well Jaclyn too. We went to the Las Vegas Be Well Jaclyn Kylie: Yes. Chelsea: convention. That was fun. Rebekah: yeah, that's right. That's right. Chelsea: Yep. I was gonna say I got to meet Caleb. He Jaclyn Kylie: Yes. Chelsea: he is fantastic. Jacqueline's man. Yeah. Rebekah: I forgot that he went. Jaclyn Kylie: Yeah, he went with me, yeah. Rebekah: Did he actually go on the show floor with you or he did? Jaclyn Kylie: Mm-hmm. I Chelsea: Yeah, he Jaclyn Kylie: got him a ticket last minute. Chelsea: was he was he was recording so like TikToks and like he's so he I was like they are a great a couple. Yeah, yeah. So yes, yeah. Yeah. He's so nice, he's easy to talk to. Like he Jaclyn Kylie: No I'm so I'm so happy that you got to meet him and see that and like I hear hear what you think because we haven't really talked about yeah. yeah, he lo yeah. Chelsea: he was like genuinely excited for you, like being there. It was really, really cute. Yeah, yeah. Jaclyn Kylie: Yeah, I know. I know. Rebekah: Are you guys the same age, Jacqueline? You and Cal? Jaclyn Kylie: No, he's he's gonna be 30 in January and I'm only 27. They're different, Chelsea: They're creeping up there. Jaclyn Kylie: okay? But yeah, we are creeping up. But no, I he was so, so like happy to be in my world and like he you know, sees my friends and me interact with my friends here and like my social life and everything, but he's never seen what the aesthetician community is. And like how I have so many, like, although we're, you know, in different states, like you guys I consider you guys good friends of mine. And so for him to like see that and also meet face reality was like really, really awesome. But he just loves he can talk to like literally anybody. I was gonna say he loves to like learn. And like he loved Aaron and what Aaron did for work and you know, talked about that. And it was just so he just like knows how to talk to people. when 'cause he's interested in like literally everything. And I'm like, I aspire to be like you one day. I want Chelsea: Yeah, yeah. Jaclyn Kylie: to be more interested in so many things, but but yeah, no, I was so sad, Rebecca, that you weren't there to meet him. But Chelsea: I know. Jaclyn Kylie: next next trade show, yeah. Rebekah: I know we gotta figure out this within this next year, what we're doing. Now that we're not like obligated. I was telling people my Chelsea: Right. Rebekah: my clients are always so interested in my travels. And they're like, Are you traveling with face reality a lot? And I'm Not anymore. I'm probably gonna go to I would hope I'd they're gonna send me to New York for a third time for Jaclyn Kylie: Yeah. Rebekah: that trade show, but really that's it. Like there's no Chelsea: Yeah. Rebekah: what was it that in October, the Texas summit. There's no summit, there's no traveling to headquarters anymore to California. Chelsea: summit. Yeah, there's no summit. Yeah. Jaclyn Kylie: Summit. Yeah. Rebekah: So we've got more time to play with where we can actually do Not not things that we want to do, but make our own plans, you know? So Chelsea: Yeah. Jaclyn Kylie: Yeah. Chelsea: Yeah, I'm curious to see what they do. Jaclyn Kylie: And we should we sh we should coordinate like if we can, like if it all works out, like a trade show that we can all go to. I know Vegas is easier Rebekah: Yeah. Two and like Jaclyn Kylie: for me and Chelsea, but like Florida or Rebekah: I don't wanna go I wouldn't go s I know, but I would go see the battery boys in Vegas. Chelsea: That I went I went last summer. It was fun. Jaclyn Kylie: Okay, so come to Vegas. Oops. Rebekah: Yeah. Chelsea: It was super fun. Yes. Yeah. Rebekah: Would love to go see the battery at Boys in Vegas. Jaclyn Kylie: Guys, I keep saying that this is my last year going to Vegas. I really like I keep saying it. But if Rebecca, if you go and Chelsea, you're going again, like I'll go one more year. But like I it's just so expensive in Vegas. And like I was I was bitching about it to Chelsea. I was like, Chelsea, I just spent 30 bucks on a small ass meal. Like, I can't. I know, but New York is just like, I don't know, like, at least I can get a pizza. Chelsea: It's crazy. I know. No, it's I know. Yes. yeah. I think I think what's hard. Rebekah: I mean the same is for New York. No, New York is the best. Chelsea: I think what's hard New York's amazing. But yeah, w with Rebekah: I love I love friggin' love New York. Ugh. Jaclyn Kylie: The New York's the best. Chelsea: with all of our kids there, Aaron was like, we gotta get home. We're gonna go broke just eating. Rebekah: Yeah. Yes. A bagel and a coffee is like twenty dollars. Jaclyn Kylie: Like a pizza in New York, Chelsea: I know. Jaclyn Kylie: a pizza in New York could be five dollars, right? Rebekah: I got a d I got a dollar fifty slice of pizza in New York when I was there. Yeah, you can. Chelsea: Yeah, yeah, you can grab those. Yeah. Jaclyn Kylie: wait, you could get lower, yes. But in but in fucking Vegas it's ten dollars for a slice of pizza. Chelsea: Well, and the the problem is is that is not what Vegas originally was. Vegas used to be for so Jaclyn Kylie: Yeah, Chelsea was telling me. Chelsea: long, because I grew up just outside of Vegas. And so Jaclyn Kylie: Yeah. Rebekah: Yeah. Chelsea: it used to be that's where like your normal middle class people could go and kind of live this fantasy world of like gambling and shows, Rebekah: Yeah. Jaclyn Kylie: Yep. Chelsea: and but you could get a hotel room really cheap, food was cheap, alcohol was cheap, and now we were actually talking to Jaclyn Kylie: Sick. Chelsea: 'Cause it's it's such a quick flight for Aaron and I and just quick Jaclyn Kylie: Mm, mhm. Chelsea: to get away. Cause El Paso, the flights out of El Paso are terrible. So like if we do a little I don't love Vegas, but it's like it's somewhere to go. Jaclyn Kylie: Yeah. Chelsea: And you can eat good food and you can, you know, go doe ever. Yes. But Rebekah: Yeah. Yeah. Stuff to do. Yeah. Jaclyn Kylie: And there's activities, yeah. Chelsea: but we were talking to our one of our Uber drivers. This was a couple of years ago, cause Aaron's like, What is going on? And this guy used to be a a dealer, a card dealer at the one of the big hotels. And he's like, he goes, I feel like they're getting, they're building these hotels. They're getting these young CEOs coming in who are trying to change. They want Vegas to be more upscale and kind of catered to the wealthy. And so they're Rebekah: And Chelsea: trying to make it like this LA slash New York vibe. And so it it's crazy to me how Rebekah: Mm. Chelsea: how slow it was. Like The tables, just to play at the table, you used to go get like a f you could go do five or ten dollar tables and now they're all at least twenty five dollars to go play blackjack Rebekah: Hmm. Chelsea: and the tables are empty. And Jaclyn Kylie: Yeah. 'Cause Rebekah: No. Chelsea: it's it's sad to me. It's wild. Rebekah: Do you Jaclyn Kylie: It's getting ridiculous. Rebekah: did you guys take any educational classes while you were there? Anything Jaclyn Kylie: No. Rebekah: worth noting? Chelsea: I didn't at that show. I'll tell you about the second I that second I'm totally going to the second show that I went to last year or or last summer. Rebekah: The the Jaclyn Kylie: When is it again? Rebekah: the one that was more like cosmetic formulation focused, yeah. Chelsea: Yes. So so I didn't do any education. I d Aaron and I like to go to that one just to make it a little trip for ourselves. He loves everybody at face reality. So he he like Jaclyn Kylie: Yeah, yeah. Chelsea: he knows Kylie. He knows Gracie. He likes to talk to Jeremy. Jaclyn Kylie: Yeah. Chelsea: Like so he gets to be a part of that too. We like to go to the acne expert event. Unfortunately he had to I thought it was on Saturday, but they changed it to Sunday and he had to get back to work anyway. So he didn't go get to go to the acne expert event. But So I I didn't do I just walked around and bought way too much stuff that I ended up not liking. I was pissed. Yeah. Jaclyn Kylie: Yeah, guys, peer pressure to circadia. Rebekah: Ooh. Jaclyn Kylie: Like I when you guys were talking about circadia, I was like, I should try them out. I bought stuff that I don't even need and I haven't even used. Chelsea: Well, I thought I mean I Rebekah: so you don't know if you like it yet? Jaclyn Kylie: Yeah. So Chelsea: like some of their stuff, but the stuff I like their vitamin C is terrible. As far it Jaclyn Kylie: I didn't try that one. Rebekah: is it? Chelsea: pills. I put my moisturizer Rebekah: I've never tried it. Chelsea: on and then I'm like, what is this? And I I wasn't sure if it was that, so I didn't use anything else and I just cleansed vitamin C moisturizer and it was peeling like crazy. Rebekah: Hm. Chelsea: And so I was like, Jaclyn Kylie: But Chelsea: great. Jaclyn Kylie: I still have to try the like the I got the Oxygen R X I wanted to try. And like Chelsea: So yeah. Rebekah: That's a good treatment. Jaclyn Kylie: I do wanna try it on myself. But ch Rebekah: That's a good treatment. Jaclyn Kylie: Chelsea, when is that next show? Is it like in July or August of Chelsea: No, so I while I was there at Be Well, I don't even know how and maybe I just saw like an advertisement for it. But this one was the Cosmoprof. and I was like, what's this show? So I looked it up. And so this was, and then I was like, I want to I read about it and then I said I want to go to it. And I realized it was only two weeks later. And I was like, Am I really going to Vegas two times in one month? Yep. Jaclyn Kylie: I was like, why is she back? Like is she posting Rebekah: Ooh. Jaclyn Kylie: late? Like what's going on? Chelsea: No. So I just went to that one by myself, but it was interesting. It you know, the summer, it's so hot there. It's I got a I stayed at the Bellagio for super cheap. The rooms were super cheap in Vegas. Rebekah: Ooh, fun. Chelsea: Yeah, super cheap in Vegas. Jaclyn Kylie: Whooshy. Chelsea: So it was at the Mandalay Bay. So this one is for just for product development. So if I owned my own skincare line or if I, you know, was a person who was going to create a skincare line, you could go to that and all of the vendors were manufacturers. So like labs that you would work with. Rebekah: Mm. Chelsea: They were packaging companies. So you would walk around and I turned the corner and there was this huge booth of just like bottles and jars and tubes of all different colors and all different shapes. Like it was so Rebekah: So that'd be fun. Chelsea: cool. I was like, Jaclyn Kylie: That would be fun. Chelsea: and then it was like equipment that you could use Jaclyn Kylie: I'm gonna look it up. Chelsea: to package, to bottle step up. Yeah, if you were starting, you know, Rebekah: To to bottle stuff in probably. It's so cool. Chelsea: so I took a ton of classes. I think the first day I took five classes and the second day I took two because then I had to leave. But that those classes were cool because it was just about how products are developed, the process of it, what goes into it, how expensive it is, Rebekah: Mm-hmm. Chelsea: you know, learning to find a lab that you can work with. And you know, I'm not doing that, but it I think because it was so different than what I was used to at a at a Be Well at a an aesthetics conference, I was like sucking all the information in. So it was Rebekah: Mm-hmm. Yeah. Chelsea: and a lot of it that I learned you can because they're talking about brand development. So a big part of it was you have to have a story. You have to have a perfect your ideal consumer. Your and a lot of that we can use for our businesses. Like Rebekah: Right. Chelsea: this is what Jaclyn Kylie: Yeah. Chelsea: you know, and so I left kind of having more specific things that I'm like, okay, yeah, who's our who's our ideal client that we want to market to? And then you put everything Jaclyn Kylie: Yeah. Chelsea: into that. So this and it was crazy. There was a whole section. So the vendors were there was skincare, hair care, fragrance, makeup, there was an entire section on Korean skincare. vendors like manufacturers Rebekah: Mm. Chelsea: and so they talked a lot about Korean skincare where they think it's headed and the people teaching the classes were like CEO or not CEO but employees of L'Oreal and big product companies it was so cool they talked about yeah yes Jaclyn Kylie: I would love to go to that, like rather, you know, be well, I feel is good for socializing and some education classes, but Chelsea: Yes. Jaclyn Kylie: I've looked up the the next date and it's July 13th through the 15th in Vegas, Mandalay Bay again. And I think they and then okay, Be Well isn't usually in June. and then Rebecca looks like the Backstreet Boys are only in December and January and then like some September. in October. so how are you gonna make that work? Rebekah: We'll move stuff around, we'll figure it out. Chelsea: You know, yeah, well they I Rebekah: We'll figure it out. Chelsea: think they add they add stuff 'cause I still get text messages when they're s like yeah, Jaclyn Kylie: Okay, good, because Chelsea: they add shows. Rebekah: Listen, I've I was more of an in sync gal and I've been holding out for them to r to like release tour dates, but I just I don't think that they're gonna. Chelsea: I know.
