- 3:15news. Five people have been sickened by a parasite
- 3:19in New Hampshire, with health officials investigating
- 3:21whether drinking natural spring water is the
- 3:24cause. The New Hampshire Department of Health
- 3:27and Human Services reported five cases of Giardia
- 3:30identified in late August. Four of the affected
- 3:34individuals drank from a spring on Old Franconia
- 3:38Road in Bethlehem, while investigators are still
- 3:41determining the source for the fifth case. Officials
- 3:45urge anyone who drank from the spring to be alert
- 3:47for symptoms such as diarrhea, stomach cramps,
- 3:51nausea, gas, and dehydration. The property owner
- 3:55has proactively shut off the water, as untreated
- 3:58water from natural sources can harbor harmful
- 4:01germs. Now on to sports. The rematch of last
- 4:11season's ASC divisional round game between the
- 4:14Baltimore Ravens and Buffalo Bills did not disappoint
- 4:17last night on Sunday Night Football, as quarterback
- 4:21Josh Allen led the Bills to overcome a fourth
- 4:24-quarter 15 -point deficit and win 41 -40. The
- 4:30game shifted in Buffalo's favor when Ravens running
- 4:32back Derrick Henry fumbled on Baltimore's 38
- 4:35-yard line with three minutes and 10 seconds
- 4:38left. allowing Buffalo to recover. Allen completed
- 4:42a four -play drive, culminating in a touchdown
- 4:45run with one minute and 58 seconds remaining.
- 4:50The Ravens failed to score on their next possession,
- 4:52leading to a game -winning 32 -yard field goal
- 4:56by veteran kicker Matt Prater. Allen finished
- 4:59the game with 394 passing yards and two touchdowns.
- 5:05while Lamar Jackson had two touchdowns and 70
- 5:08rushing yards. In local sports. Yesterday afternoon
- 5:13at Chase Field in Phoenix, the Red Sox beat the
- 5:16Deepaks 7 -4. Whitlock earned the win with six
- 5:22innings, three strikeouts, and one earned run
- 5:25allowed. Sogard delivered a late two -run double
- 5:29to break the tie in the ninth. Chapman earned
- 5:33his 29th. save with four strikeouts in a scoreless
- 5:37inning. The Sox tallied eight hits and made zero
- 5:41errors while leaving five runners on base. The
- 5:45Red Sox record improved to 79 -65. Tonight, the
- 5:50Red Sox face the Athletics at Sutter Health Park
- 5:53in Sacramento for Game 1 of a three -game series.
- 5:57Garrett Crochet at 14 -5 with a 2 .67 earned
- 6:02run average. We'll catch against Luis Morales,
- 6:053 -0 with a 1 .5. First pitch is at 10 .05 under
- 6:10clear skies. Moving on to the Pats, or should
- 6:15we? For a Patriots team expecting a big turnaround,
- 6:19this loss felt like more of the same. Patriots
- 6:23coach Mike Vrabel removed his headset as the
- 6:26Raiders got into victory formation. On his first
- 6:30day of the job, he set a reasonable bar for his
- 6:32tenure, aiming to be good enough to take advantage
- 6:35of bad football from opponents. But the debut
- 6:39of the Vrabel era was underwhelming, as a mediocre
- 6:42Raiders team defeated the Patriots 20 -13. The
- 6:47hard truth is that these Patriots did not look
- 6:49all that different from previous years. Second
- 6:53-year quarterback Drake May struggled with inconsistency.
- 6:57and the offense averaged only 4 .9 yards per
- 7:00play. Drake may finish the game 30 for 46, with
- 7:04287 yards passing, a touchdown, and an interception.
- 7:10Next week, the Pats head down to Miami to see
- 7:13if they can final it in top news. Influencers
- 7:17have described propranolol as a magic pill that
- 7:20eases nervous jitters in various settings, with
- 7:23prescriptions rising, especially among young
- 7:26women. As Erica Fisher prepares for her wedding,
- 7:30she considers taking a beta blocker. She notes
- 7:34that many have had a good experience with the
- 7:36medication. Propranolol, approved by the Food
- 7:40and Drug Administration in 1967, is now the fastest
- 7:44-growing pill for stressful situations, increasing
- 7:48prescriptions by 28 % since 2020. It reduces
- 7:53physical anxiety symptoms, although it is not
- 7:56FDA approved for that purpose. While generally
- 7:59non -addictive, propranolol carries risks, including
- 8:03fainting from low blood pressure. In business
- 8:08news, oil tycoons are betting big on Donald Trump
- 8:12and it is paying off. The administration is opening
- 8:16land to drilling, rolling back environmental
- 8:18restrictions, and hobbling renewable energy,
- 8:21despite a drop in crude prices. Millionaire Harold
- 8:26Hamm celebrated Trump's election, having donated
- 8:29tens of millions of dollars, believing in a pro
- 8:32-fossil fuel agenda. The administration is approving
- 8:36new gas export terminals and proposing to remove
- 8:40environmental regulations. While hotel prices
- 8:43hover near $62 a barrel, executives see the turbulence
- 8:48as a price worth paying for their agenda. Environmentalists
- 8:52are alarmed, claiming these moves will fuel climate
- 8:55change and increase energy costs for consumers.
- 8:58In crypto movement, Bitcoin is unchanged over
- 9:03the weekend at just over $111 ,000. Ethereum
- 9:08is down 1 % to just over $4 ,300. And XRP is
- 9:14up 3 % to $2 .88. Moving on to a more local vibe.

- 10:06Let's talk tech. Google is warning its 2 .5 billion
- 10:11Gmail users to enhance their security. While
- 10:15there are claims that users should change their
- 10:17passwords due to a breach, this is only partly
- 10:19accurate. The actual advice is to stop using
- 10:23passwords entirely. The breach originated from
- 10:27Salesforce, where hackers obtained business -related
- 10:30Gmail data, but no credentials were stolen. Phishing
- 10:34and impersonation attacks have surged, with Google
- 10:37noting that these tactics account for roughly
- 10:4037 % of successful account takeovers. Users are
- 10:45advised to switch to passkeys and enable two
- 10:47-factor authentication for better security. In
- 10:51a world of constant breaches, vigilance remains
- 10:54crucial. And in entertainment news, get ready.
- 11:01The Leonardo DiCaprio movie One Battle After
- 11:04Another, that was filmed in Sacramento and other
- 11:07locations across Northern California, is opening
- 11:11in theaters this month. With a release date set
- 11:14for September 26, the action film also stars
- 11:17Sean Penn, Benicio Del Toro, Regina Hall, and
- 11:21Tiana Taylor. Written and directed by Paul Thomas
- 11:25Anderson, The plot centers around a former revolutionary
- 11:28reuniting with old associates to find his missing
- 11:32daughter. The estimated filming budget is at
- 11:36least $130 million, making it Anderson's most
- 11:40expensive project to date. The film will be released
- 11:44in IMAX and standard formats nationwide. Well,
