- 0:00Speaker 1: Enough is enough i have had it.
- 0:05Speaker 2: Why so serious.
- 0:08Speaker 3: And we hold the world ransom for excuse me while
- 0:12Speaker 3: i whip this out broadcasting live in atlanta georgia this
- 0:18Speaker 3: this is the sports.
- 0:20Speaker 4: Truck show with wayne dandy Welcome, welcome, welcome! You're listening
- 0:48Speaker 4: to the Sports Shock Show. I'm the Sports Shock, Wayne Candy.
- 0:53Speaker 4: And all of you right now, give me a big
- 0:56Speaker 4: War Eagle out there in listening land. You know, you
- 1:01Speaker 4: saw it. You standing on what the bad producer called business.
- 1:06Speaker 4: You ten toes down like Comanche Greg. War Eagle, you
- 1:12Speaker 4: saw it. Don't try to act like you tuned in
- 1:15Speaker 4: this morning and thought we was going to start on
- 1:18Speaker 4: some other song. That's going to be the song. Why
- 1:21Speaker 4: do we need to talk about the J-E-T-S? Jets, Jets, Jets. Losing.
- 1:27Speaker 4: Why do we need to talk about the Howboys? Why
- 1:32Speaker 4: do we need to talk about the No Birds? We
- 1:37Speaker 4: can just talk about the War Eagles. Taking down the mighty, ugga,
- 1:45Speaker 4: Kirby Smart. Ain't no fluke to this. This wasn't no
- 1:50Speaker 4: fluke game. This was in they house. In the hedges,
- 1:55Speaker 4: as they say. Taking down the mighty Bulldogs out of Athens.
- 2:02Speaker 4: You saw it. Yeah, I'm going to relish in it.
- 2:06Speaker 4: In they house. I don't want to hear nothing about
- 2:09Speaker 4: no injuries. We were missing our best defensive player. Actually
- 2:14Speaker 4: suspended him. I was upset with that. How are we
- 2:17Speaker 4: going to go on the road, take down the mighty
- 2:19Speaker 4: Bulldogs without our best first-round pick linebacker? Left him home.
- 2:27Speaker 4: Team issues, whatever that– when did that start becoming a thing?
- 2:31Speaker 4: That's like grades. That's grades. I don't know. Okay, Greg,
- 2:38Speaker 4: with the– Yeah, I hear enough of that at the game.
- 2:41Speaker 4: And no, Greg, to answer your question, I didn't make
- 2:43Speaker 4: it to the game. Me and my great friend Isaac
- 2:44Speaker 4: Bruce was going to go up there. I kept thinking
- 2:48Speaker 4: his flight was delayed, so he didn't get in until 3.30.
- 2:52Speaker 4: And it was one of those things, if I had gone, though,
- 2:56Speaker 4: was that the thing I needed to miss? For the victory,
- 3:01Speaker 4: I needed to miss. I can't have everything, Sports Chalk. Look,
- 3:06Speaker 4: you can attend, or I can give you a great victory.
- 3:11Speaker 4: we hadn't beat the number one team in the country
- 3:14Speaker 4: in eight, nine, ten years while they were ranked number one.
- 3:21Speaker 4: But to take down the Bulldogs, how sweet it is. And,
- 3:23Speaker 4: you know, it made me forgive the schedule makers because
- 3:26Speaker 4: I used to love that we played Georgia and Alabama
- 3:29Speaker 4: on the last two games of the season. And You know,
- 3:35Speaker 4: with all this new, and we're going to talk about it,
- 3:37Speaker 4: the college landscape and where it is and why won't
- 3:40Speaker 4: any of you get on? I don't see even my
- 3:44Speaker 4: co-host here. Nobody wants to ride on me with me.
- 3:49Speaker 4: That this is just pro ball. I don't know why
- 3:52Speaker 4: none of you want to ride with me. I don't
- 3:54Speaker 4: know what it is that y'all cannot break the shackles
- 4:00Speaker 4: that y'all need to stay planted in The idea of,
- 4:04Speaker 4: it's pro football. It's pro. I don't know. I'm really pleased. Listeners, guys,
- 4:17Speaker 4: why are y'all so entrenched? Why do y'all care if
- 4:20Speaker 4: somebody is going to class? What does that have to
- 4:24Speaker 4: do with it? Gunnar Stockman graduated like two years ago,
- 4:29Speaker 4: the quarterback from Georgia. They go to summer school. They
- 4:32Speaker 4: already have graduated. If they want to graduate, they graduate now.
- 4:38Speaker 4: Because there is no summer break. There was an option.
- 4:42Speaker 4: But now they go early. So the young kids that
- 4:45Speaker 4: are in high school right now will end their last
- 4:50Speaker 4: game in December, go on winter break. And you have
- 4:55Speaker 4: a high percentage that will be on college campuses. That's
- 4:59Speaker 4: why you see them if you catch some of your
- 5:00Speaker 4: bowl games, they're on the sideline in a jersey. They're
- 5:05Speaker 4: going to school in January. They go to school year round.
- 5:12Speaker 4: That's why they build the facilities like they do now.
- 5:16Speaker 4: Their facilities are 10 times better than most pros. They're
- 5:22Speaker 4: on that Dallas Cowboy level because they're there all the time.
- 5:27Speaker 4: I don't get where you guys continue to keep needing
- 5:30Speaker 4: this to be under the pretense. They got agents, cars, jewelry.
- 5:39Speaker 4: They're getting suspended. Deion just fired some dudes, sent them out. Like, man, look,
- 5:47Speaker 4: that ain't how college used to work. College used to be, hey, okay,
- 5:51Speaker 4: you go in there and you stand over here until
- 5:53Speaker 4: he mess up, and then we'll put you back in.
- 5:56Speaker 4: Pro is, hey, man, get your stuff and get on
- 6:00Speaker 4: out of here. That's pro ball. Isn't that what Deion
- 6:02Speaker 4: did a couple of weeks ago? Told some dudes, look,
- 6:05Speaker 4: y'all was laughing. Y'all need to get your stuff and go.
- 6:08Speaker 4: It wasn't, no, oh, they're going to be benched for
- 6:11Speaker 4: next week. They're not going to run stadiums? No, nobody
- 6:15Speaker 4: don't do that. You don't hear nothing about that anymore.
- 6:18Speaker 4: It's no longer running stadiums. It's having HR walk you
- 6:22Speaker 4: to your car. The security guy is walking you to
- 6:26Speaker 4: your car now. But I'm on one this morning. Good
- 6:28Speaker 4: morning to you coming off of that high of the
- 6:30Speaker 4: Auburn victory. A big War Eagle to my Tigers for
- 6:35Speaker 4: pulling that off. They do play LSU this coming Saturday
- 6:39Speaker 4: down in Auburn. Should be a big game at noon,
- 6:42Speaker 4: so if you want to check that out, Lane Kiffin,
- 6:44Speaker 4: he always brings attention to everything. That's just what he is.
- 6:48Speaker 4: He is the new Steve Spurrier of college football, since
- 6:52Speaker 4: y'all need it to still be called college football. So
- 6:54Speaker 4: he's the new Steve Spurrier. He's the Steve Spurrier of
- 6:57Speaker 4: his generation, where you either love him or hate him,
- 7:00Speaker 4: but he really don't care. You will talk about it.
- 7:03Speaker 4: They need to call him the new ball coach. They
- 7:05Speaker 4: used to call Steve the old ball coach. He the
- 7:07Speaker 4: new ball coach is Lane Kiffin. But Big Kenny the
- 7:10Speaker 4: funny man himself is in the building. Good morning. Greg
- 7:13Speaker 4: is in the building. Good morning. The bad producer is
- 7:16Speaker 4: in the building. I see the church finger. Church finger,
- 7:19Speaker 4: church finger. I didn't know y'all did that up north.
- 7:21Speaker 4: I thought that was just a southern thing. Every time
- 7:24Speaker 4: you do it, it confuses me because I don't know
- 7:26Speaker 4: the northerner. It is. Northerner has respect where they just
- 7:31Speaker 4: walk out. They don't give no kind of acknowledgement. We
- 7:35Speaker 4: like the cigarette dead lead. But I'm raised by southerners.
- 7:41Speaker 4: If the finger didn't go up, the belt came out. Okay, okay, okay.
- 7:45Speaker 4: I've been conditioned. Yes, sir. Yes, sir.
- 7:48Speaker 5: But I'm very interested to know your good friend, I.B.,
- 7:52Speaker 5: who I've had the pleasure of meeting, came in. Flight
- 7:55Speaker 5: was late. You guys didn't go to the game. What
- 7:58Speaker 5: did you do instead? When someone comes in and you
- 8:02Speaker 5: had plans, but.
- 8:04Speaker 4: Well, his flight got in about 3.30. The traffic was
- 8:07Speaker 4: terrible on Saturday. 285 was shut down. I think they
- 8:11Speaker 4: were fixing something and they closed the highway and they
- 8:14Speaker 4: sent everything downtown, so... It took him an hour and
- 8:18Speaker 4: a half to get from the airport to his hotel.
- 8:22Speaker 4: I was already engrossed in the game. So keep it moving.
- 8:26Speaker 4: When you deal with situations like that, I wasn't going
- 8:29Speaker 4: to miss the game for that. I was totally tuned in.
- 8:34Speaker 4: It took me until the last two minutes of the
- 8:38Speaker 4: game to realize the dream was on. I don't know
- 8:42Speaker 4: why they did come on Saturday. I told you, I
- 8:45Speaker 4: told you Saturday night, not Saturday day. You got to
- 8:50Speaker 4: let people get tired of the football. People, you, if
- 8:54Speaker 4: you start football at noon, around seven 30, Your curiosity
- 8:59Speaker 4: have a little, oh, let me look over here.
- 9:01Speaker 5: Well, based on the excitement from this past Saturday, this
- 9:04Speaker 5: was kind of like that, I know I shouldn't do
- 9:07Speaker 5: another one, but I'm going to go ahead and do
- 9:09Speaker 5: another one.
- 9:09Speaker 4: You know what I mean?
- 9:10Speaker 5: You think you'd be done by 8 o'clock, 8.30, but
- 9:14Speaker 5: this weekend's games kept you riveted. But still, the WNBA
- 9:20Speaker 5: has an identity authority crisis with scheduling.
- 9:26Speaker 4: You going to watch me today.
- 9:29Speaker 5: I'm going to go right into Brad's slot.
- 9:33Speaker 4: No. No, I caught it. And I guess even tuning
- 9:37Speaker 4: in with two minutes to go still counts as a viewer,
- 9:41Speaker 4: but I missed all of what happened before. I don't
- 9:44Speaker 4: know what the story was up until that point. I
- 9:47Speaker 4: just saw the Gabby Williams young lady make a couple
- 9:51Speaker 4: of plays there at the end, and they lost. So
- 9:54Speaker 4: it looked like it was a good game. But I
- 9:57Speaker 4: missed it. I'm sure it was. on some level. It
- 10:01Speaker 4: sounded like it was awesome. Monday night football tonight out
- 10:05Speaker 4: in San Francisco. The 49ers trying to improve to 6-0.
- 10:09Speaker 4: They're 5-0 now. And the Washington Commanders are 1-3-1. That
- 10:20Speaker 4: one victory they won last week, right? They beat somebody.
- 10:24Speaker 4: Jaden Daniels came back to help them with that game.
- 10:29Speaker 4: So the 49ers, as I have said, they're just one
- 10:33Speaker 4: of those teams. And they've been this same team for
- 10:37Speaker 4: about eight years now where it's all about their health.
- 10:45Speaker 4: If they can show up, And there's two or three
- 10:49Speaker 4: teams that way. If they can show up with their people,
- 10:55Speaker 4: I don't know if they can be beat. And right now,
- 10:59Speaker 4: for the most part, they're playing with their people. I
- 11:02Speaker 4: know the Bosa, the defensive end, is out, but they're
- 11:04Speaker 4: playing with most of their people right now. And that's why,
- 11:08Speaker 4: to me, they're in such a groove. And that's the
- 11:11Speaker 4: kind of team they've been. The years they have kind
- 11:13Speaker 4: of faltered, they just was missing too many of the pieces.
- 11:16Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 11:17Speaker 4: To win, but we're going to go to break. We're
- 11:20Speaker 4: going to come back. John Abraham says that the Falcon
- 11:24Speaker 4: fans should be shamed. Hey, you looking for one? Hey,
- 11:32Speaker 4: it's back there. The new ring of honor number for
- 11:35Speaker 4: the Falcons. John Abraham says Falcon fans should be ashamed
- 11:41Speaker 4: of how they let fans come in and take over
- 11:43Speaker 4: their venue. Comanche Greg wants to cry about Dak and
- 11:48Speaker 4: the boys. Big Kenny is scrappy. He is a little
- 11:52Speaker 4: young scrappy guy up there in New York. He scraps
- 11:55Speaker 4: with them. He doesn't really pull it off, but he'll
- 11:58Speaker 4: give you a good old, you know, you'll leave with
- 12:00Speaker 4: a mark on your face. How about that? That and
- 12:03Speaker 4: much more on the Sports Talk Show when we get back.
- 12:05Speaker 4: Breaking up these keys for the Gs, ha. Let's do
- 12:09Speaker 4: this for them DPGs, ha. Homie, you don't want to
- 12:11Speaker 4: step to this.
- 12:13Speaker 6: Oh, no.
- 12:14Speaker 7: Big Snoop Dogg. Back up in the easy, baby.
- 12:19Speaker 4: Don't go away.
- 12:20Speaker 6: More of the Sports Jock Show with Wayne Gambia is
- 12:31Speaker 6: coming up next.
- 12:33Speaker 8: Returning military vets. They've served our country at home and abroad.
- 12:37Speaker 8: They've slept in tanks, foxholes, and even out in the weather.
- 12:41Speaker 8: They've had our backs.
- 12:42Speaker 4: Now back. We have theirs.
- 12:43Speaker 9: The Sports Jock Man of Honor, Mr.
- 12:45Speaker 8: Scott Holliday, CEO of Mattress Heroes USA, is giving back
- 12:49Speaker 8: to the vets by giving away a free mattress to
- 12:52Speaker 8: returning vets every single week on the Sports Jock Show.
- 12:55Speaker 2: You had our backs.
- 12:56Speaker 7: Now we have yours.

- 13:15Speaker 8: us why they should be the Mattress Heroes USA Vet

- 13:29Speaker 10: Talking about guns with others might not always feel comfortable,
- 13:32Speaker 10: but it could save a life. Here's a way to
- 13:34Speaker 10: start a conversation. Your family is going over to your
- 13:37Speaker 10: neighbor's home for dinner for the first time. How would
- 13:40Speaker 10: you ask if there are any unlocked guns in the home?
- 13:42Speaker 11: Hey.
- 13:43Speaker 4: Hey, we're so excited for tonight. Before we come over, though,
- 13:46Speaker 4: may I ask if there are any unlocked guns in
- 13:48Speaker 4: your home?
- 13:49Speaker 12: Our guns are stored securely, locked in a safe that
- 13:52Speaker 12: the kids can't access.
- 13:54Speaker 4: Awesome.
- 13:55Speaker 10: Learn how to have the conversation at agree2agree. org. Brought to
- 13:58Speaker 10: you by the Ad Council.
- 14:00Speaker 11: There's danger out there. It lurks on highways and quiet
- 14:03Speaker 11: neighborhood streets. It's more likely to kill you than a
- 14:05Speaker 11: shark and more terrifying than the biggest snake. Distracted driving
- 14:10Speaker 11: claims lives every day. Every notification, swipe, social post, video,
- 14:15Speaker 11: or selfie while driving risks your life.
- 14:18Speaker 13: So while you might think public speaking or the zombie.
- 14:20Speaker 11: Apocalypse is scary, what's really terrifying and even deadly is
- 14:24Speaker 11: distracted driving.
- 14:25Speaker 9: Eyes forward.
- 14:26Speaker 13: Don't drive distracted.
- 14:28Speaker 9: Brought to you by NHTSA and the Ad Council.
- 14:32Speaker 8: And now, back to the sports jar, Wayne Ganty. The
- 14:37Speaker 8: Jock of the Day is sponsored by MattressHeroesUSA.com. The sleep
- 14:41Speaker 8: you deserve at a price you can afford. Now, it's
- 14:45Speaker 8: time to present The Jock of the Day on the
- 14:48Speaker 8: Sports Jock Show.
- 14:48Speaker 14: He's taken it to a completely different level this year.
- 14:51Speaker 4: Where we highlight an athlete that has taken their game
- 14:54Speaker 4: to the next level.
- 14:55Speaker 12: The Jock.
- 14:58Speaker 4: Of the Day Welcome back to the Sports Talk Show.
- 15:27Speaker 4: I'm the Sports Talk, Wayne Candy. The Commanders at the
- 15:30Speaker 4: 49ers tonight on Monday Night Football. Also, Game 2. of
- 15:35Speaker 4: the WNBA will be going down tonight, the Dream. And
- 15:42Speaker 4: this is a best of seven. They do best of three,
- 15:45Speaker 4: then they do best of five, and then they do
- 15:47Speaker 4: best of seven out in California, the Valkyries. And just
- 15:54Speaker 4: their second year hosting a finals game. They won game one,
- 15:59Speaker 4: so game two, a lot of pressure on the Valkyries
- 16:03Speaker 4: Atlanta dreams. They finally, as we talked about on the
- 16:07Speaker 4: last show, they made a decision and was able to
- 16:12Speaker 4: rearrange some things to get them over to a bigger
- 16:17Speaker 4: arena at State Farm. You hear different things, how it's
- 16:21Speaker 4: not the WNBA. It's not the Atlanta dream. It's just
- 16:26Speaker 4: how it had been been going. They started in State Farm.
- 16:31Speaker 4: They started in a bigger venue. The ticket sales said
- 16:33Speaker 4: they needed to go somewhere else. They did that with
- 16:38Speaker 4: the hope that at some point their sport would gain
- 16:41Speaker 4: enough attention to move back. There's nobody at fault. The
- 16:45Speaker 4: Valkyries had to do the same thing. They had to
- 16:47Speaker 4: ask Doja Cat to let them in their Saturday night.
- 16:52Speaker 4: So nobody's at fault. What is with this witch hunt
- 16:56Speaker 4: of fault? I imagine it's just a genetic wiring that
- 17:03Speaker 4: we all have as humans, but everything is a fault.
- 17:07Speaker 4: It's more fault than applause. Nobody's at fault. Nobody. They
- 17:18Speaker 4: downsized to what they could afford. Now they making and
- 17:23Speaker 4: then they'll go back. If it happens again, they'll find
- 17:25Speaker 4: themselves back down to another smaller arena. So who's at fault? Oh,
- 17:33Speaker 4: the WNBA, the president should be. How? How would they
- 17:36Speaker 4: be a being? They should have known. No, I know
- 17:40Speaker 4: y'all like that. I know that's the thing y'all like
- 17:42Speaker 4: to throw at me. But right now, I don't know.
- 17:46Speaker 4: I was doing a show last night. People, oh. Mike
- 17:48Speaker 4: McCarthy should have did this for the Stiller.
- 17:50Speaker 7: Who are you?
- 17:51Speaker 4: Why aren't you coaching? If you know how to handle
- 17:55Speaker 4: the clock so well, you know when to call the
- 17:59Speaker 4: timeouts and everything. Why aren't you coaching then? I can't
- 18:06Speaker 4: believe my, why aren't you the head coach? What makes
- 18:10Speaker 4: you think that these coaches and players are trying to
- 18:13Speaker 4: sabotage if they don't pick the way you would have
- 18:17Speaker 4: handled it? Mike McCarthy had decided he was going into overtime.
- 18:23Speaker 4: That's his judgment. You can fire him for it at
- 18:26Speaker 4: the end, but that's what he had decided. You had
- 18:29Speaker 4: decided that, no, they should do whoever was coloring the game.
- 18:32Speaker 4: Because that's usually where you're getting your information. You're sitting
- 18:35Speaker 4: there listening to the color analyst, the job I do.
- 18:40Speaker 4: We're just speculating on how we might have handled it
- 18:43Speaker 4: at the time, but that don't mean the coach is wrong.
- 18:48Speaker 4: I get texts all the time, why are they going
- 18:49Speaker 4: for two? Because that's what the coach decided to do.
- 18:52Speaker 4: That ain't my team. That's how he wants to play. Oh,
- 18:55Speaker 4: he should have kicked the field.
- 18:58Speaker 15: Huh?
- 18:59Speaker 4: It's only wrong when it doesn't work out. You don't
- 19:01Speaker 4: say nothing when it actually gives you what you want.
- 19:04Speaker 4: They get the two-point and go ahead. Man, what a
- 19:07Speaker 4: gutsy call. Aside from... Isn't that what they say? What
- 19:10Speaker 4: a gutsy call by him, boy. He's on one today.
- 19:13Speaker 4: We're going to play the result. We're going to play
- 19:16Speaker 4: the result, whatever it is.
- 19:17Speaker 5: For the average fan that's quoting the color analyst, I
- 19:22Speaker 5: think they might do it for two reasons. One, everybody
- 19:24Speaker 5: likes to sound smart when they're debating something. And two,
- 19:30Speaker 5: the color analysts now aren't guys anymore. The color analysts
- 19:35Speaker 5: are no longer Stephen A. Smiths, guys who talk about
- 19:39Speaker 5: the sport from a first-person point of view but ain't
- 19:42Speaker 5: never played. The color analyst now is Tom Brady going, well,
- 19:47Speaker 5: Mike McCarthy should have just not played. should have played
- 19:50Speaker 5: to win.
- 19:51Speaker 4: You know what I mean?
- 19:52Speaker 5: And then you hear that, and then you run and
- 19:54Speaker 5: scream that to somebody because Tom Brady had to be right,
- 19:58Speaker 5: didn't he?
- 19:59Speaker 4: He's Tom Brady.
- 19:59Speaker 5: So I think a lot of time when it comes
- 20:01Speaker 5: to the color analyst, people love to project their knowledge
- 20:05Speaker 5: into their conversation because he should know.
- 20:08Speaker 4: And it's not that he doesn't know. It's just that
- 20:13Speaker 4: that would have been his choice. His choice. That doesn't
- 20:16Speaker 4: make the coach wrong. At all. Other night, I'm down
- 20:19Speaker 4: at Carl Quick County playing Val Doster. We had the
- 20:23Speaker 4: four-hour drive, Friday night football. Coach gets the ball down
- 20:27Speaker 4: to the one-yard line with like a minute to go.
- 20:30Speaker 4: I felt like I would have went for it and
- 20:34Speaker 4: tried to score a touchdown. He decided to kick the
- 20:37Speaker 4: field goal. He was not wrong and I wasn't right
- 20:42Speaker 4: and vice versa. It's just, that was his choice. I
- 20:46Speaker 4: would have stayed more aggressive because I would have felt
- 20:49Speaker 4: like my defense already has given up 48 points. But
- 20:53Speaker 4: that's just me. Was it to tie the game or
- 20:56Speaker 4: to win the game? He would have sealed the game.
- 20:59Speaker 4: He kicked the field goal. They had to kick the
- 21:01Speaker 4: ball off and give the team a chance to go
- 21:03Speaker 4: down to score a touchdown.
- 21:04Speaker 16: And they were at home. I thought you said that
- 21:06Speaker 16: because they were at home. You know, you would think that.
- 21:09Speaker 4: No, I was just saying because it was so many points,
- 21:11Speaker 4: the game ended up being 52 to 48. I don't
- 21:14Speaker 4: know if I trust the defense. But he trusted his
- 21:18Speaker 4: defense to do what they did, which closed out the game.
- 21:23Speaker 4: On my ride down, which I thought about you guys. Because,
- 21:27Speaker 4: you know, when you get to South Georgia, and especially
- 21:29Speaker 4: once you get off the highway, you get to see
- 21:31Speaker 4: all the cotton fields. And I kept thinking, who picks
- 21:34Speaker 4: the cotton now? They got a machine. Or are they
- 21:38Speaker 4: just out here? No, it's out there. Or do they
- 21:40Speaker 4: still pick this cotton or just grow it? Because it
- 21:42Speaker 4: looked like it needed to be picked. I was at work, sir.
- 21:45Speaker 4: I don't know who didn't pick cotton, but I know
- 21:48Speaker 4: who was out there, sir. It's crazy. I was present
- 21:52Speaker 4: and accounted for. Them boys ain't out here picking no cotton.
- 21:56Speaker 4: It looked like it needed to be picked. Looked like
- 21:58Speaker 4: it needed to be picked, but them stimulus checks hit
- 22:00Speaker 4: when COVID came through, and everybody was like, oh, bruh.
- 22:04Speaker 4: We just going to make people sick from now on.
- 22:08Speaker 4: And the PPP loans came through. And so the other
- 22:12Speaker 4: people in prison. They're still spending their stimulus checks. They're
- 22:17Speaker 4: still looking for you and the bad producer. Oh, no, no.
- 22:20Speaker 4: I didn't do. It's the IRS. They'll ever go away.
- 22:24Speaker 4: Let me tell you something.
- 22:26Speaker 5: You know me well enough to know that if it
- 22:28Speaker 5: has three government letters attached to it, Any scheme, scam,
- 22:34Speaker 5: conversation with three governments.
- 22:36Speaker 4: Even the IRS.
- 22:36Speaker 1: IRS.
- 22:37Speaker 4: That's number one. They the number one. They can get
- 22:42Speaker 4: you where nobody else can. Really? The FBI didn't have nothing.
- 22:47Speaker 4: ATF ain't got nothing. DEA ain't got nothing.
- 22:51Speaker 5: They got the bank records. IRS got that money. Look
- 22:54Speaker 5: like there ought to be more taxes on your forms.
- 22:57Speaker 5: Looks like you should have took a little bit out
- 23:00Speaker 5: of here.
- 23:00Speaker 4: Hit you with the Al Capone. Yeah, that's how they
- 23:02Speaker 4: got it. That's how they got the Al Capone. We'll
- 23:04Speaker 4: be back. More of the Sports.
- 23:05Speaker 17: Jock Show right after this.
- 23:16Speaker 4: Don't go away.
- 23:20Speaker 6: More of the Sports Jock Show with Wayne Gambias coming
- 23:23Speaker 6: up next.

- 23:31Speaker 18: But we do have one question for the veterans listening.
- 23:34Speaker 13: When is the last time you reached out for help?
- 23:38Speaker 10: If you or someone you know needs resources, whether it's
- 23:41Speaker 10: for stress, finances, employment, or mental health.
- 23:45Speaker 20: Don't wait.
- 23:45Speaker 18: Reach out.

- 25:30Speaker 4: And now, back to the sports jar, Wayne Ganty. Welcome
- 26:02Speaker 4: back to the Sports Talk Show. I'm the Sports Talk
- 26:03Speaker 4: Wayne Canty. Tonight, Washington versus San Francisco. The Atlanta Dream
- 26:09Speaker 4: versus the Valkyries. I think the baseball 3-2 Tampa Bay Rays,
- 26:14Speaker 4: but I think they had to make up a game yesterday.
- 26:17Speaker 4: They probably will be off today and back at it
- 26:21Speaker 4: tomorrow while the Brewers who swept the Dodgers, are home resting,
- 26:28Speaker 4: getting ready for the World Series, waiting on the winner
- 26:32Speaker 4: of the Tampa Bay Rays and the Cleveland Giants. Guardians.
- 26:38Speaker 4: But we have to start here in Atlanta. Big Kenny
- 26:40Speaker 4: representing Justin Fields when he was drafted and played for
- 26:46Speaker 4: the Bears. I'm not sure if Justin is even in
- 26:48Speaker 4: the league this year. In Kansas City, yeah. Okay, he's
- 26:51Speaker 4: the backup out at Kansas City where he gets to
- 26:54Speaker 4: learn from the master in Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes,
- 27:01Speaker 4: which is a good choice there if Patrick has to
- 27:05Speaker 4: miss the game. To be able to put Justin Fields
- 27:08Speaker 4: out there. But this is all about yesterday. The Falcons
- 27:11Speaker 4: losing to the Bears. Caleb Williams coming back looking like
- 27:16Speaker 4: he never left.
- 27:19Speaker 12: 31-23.
- 27:20Speaker 4: As you can see, Big Kenny with the Chicago jersey.
- 27:23Speaker 4: And this is what we have talked about here with
- 27:27Speaker 4: Atlanta sports. That's different than at least the places that
- 27:33Speaker 4: I have ever lived before. which is Auburn, Alabama, Los Angeles, California, St. Louis, Missouri, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania,
- 27:45Speaker 4: New Orleans, Louisiana, and for a year doing Katrina, living
- 27:55Speaker 4: in San Antonio, and then residing here in Atlanta. to
- 28:00Speaker 4: learn that the Atlanta city, the Atlanta fan, Atlanta is
- 28:06Speaker 4: built from four or five major cities. So if you
- 28:11Speaker 4: came here in 92, 94, the city was comprised of Atlanteans, Georgians.
- 28:23Speaker 4: Once they sent up that back signal that it was
- 28:26Speaker 4: safe to come here, the invasion started. And it started
- 28:30Speaker 4: with some of the mega cities where people wanted to
- 28:34Speaker 4: reinvent themselves, change their names, get away from their parole officers,
- 28:41Speaker 4: their child support checks, and all that kind of stuff.
- 28:43Speaker 4: So they came here from cities like LA, Detroit, Chicago,
- 28:49Speaker 4: New York, places like that, filled up with and made
- 28:56Speaker 4: Atlanta what it is. It added the 3 million people
- 29:01Speaker 4: since the mid-90s. And what that also brought is non-Atlanta
- 29:09Speaker 4: team support. It's easy to recognize, especially when you go
- 29:16Speaker 4: to Atlanta Hawk games, that particular teams come here, like
- 29:23Speaker 4: the Bulls, the Knicks, the Lakers, and quickly you forget
- 29:30Speaker 4: that you're in Atlanta at an Atlanta game. It seems
- 29:34Speaker 4: that you must have been drugged and flown to Atlanta
- 29:40Speaker 4: another city. John Abraham, the great John Abraham, who just
- 29:45Speaker 4: went up in the ring of honor for the Atlanta
- 29:49Speaker 4: Falcons last week, criticized the home crowd after the team
- 29:53Speaker 4: lost to Chicago, stating that the biggest issue was a
- 29:57Speaker 4: lack of home crowd support. which forced the offense into
- 30:04Speaker 4: a silent count. Silent count, for you that don't know,
- 30:10Speaker 4: is a weapon that is typically reserved for when you're
- 30:14Speaker 4: on the road in a football game. That's typically when,
- 30:21Speaker 4: at practice, coach pulls out the speakers, starts playing sometimes
- 30:26Speaker 4: joyful music, but a lot of times annoying. Tries to
- 30:30Speaker 4: play things loud so you have to communicate without a snap.
- 30:34Speaker 4: The quarterback has to use signs to get the information out.
- 30:40Speaker 4: So that's what happened in Atlanta, the beautiful Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
- 30:45Speaker 4: The Chicago invasion happened. And if you look at a
- 30:52Speaker 4: lot of those people, you think, oh, man, they got
- 30:56Speaker 4: great fan support. They must have all flew here and
- 31:01Speaker 4: know the big Kenny's of the world that live here,
- 31:08Speaker 4: rise up as the Falcon say, and go to the
- 31:14Speaker 4: game and take over your, uh, arena. Now fan bases
- 31:18Speaker 4: like the Cowboys and the Steelers, the Raiders, um, Their
- 31:23Speaker 4: fan bases was grown from the 70s. They were the
- 31:26Speaker 4: successful teams. And when you lived in other places, maybe
- 31:30Speaker 4: you didn't have access to local games. So their fan
- 31:33Speaker 4: bases grew. But the Bears and these Chicagoans, because it's
- 31:42Speaker 4: Atlanta and they live here, go to your arena, create
- 31:45Speaker 4: enough crowd noise that you have to go silent count.
- 31:50Speaker 4: And that's what John Abraham is a shame of. This
- 31:54Speaker 4: is part of why when I'm talking to the bad
- 31:57Speaker 4: producer about what a real fan is, he can't seem
- 32:01Speaker 4: to get it. Because that doesn't happen in most stadiums.
- 32:10Speaker 4: It wouldn't, if we would have been in Chicago, The
- 32:13Speaker 4: Falcon fan would not have taken over the old stadium,
- 32:17Speaker 4: the new stadium in another state. I don't care where
- 32:21Speaker 4: the Bears would have been. The Falcon fans would not
- 32:24Speaker 4: have created enough noise to do anything. They would have
- 32:28Speaker 4: been sprinkled around. But here in Atlanta, because of two things.
- 32:34Speaker 4: The Atlanta fan will profit before being a fan. So
- 32:39Speaker 4: if they can see a profit in the ticket, they
- 32:41Speaker 4: will sell it. Yes. And the second is the Atlanta
- 32:45Speaker 4: fan considers him a fan even though they don't attend.
- 32:53Speaker 4: They don't have to attend. They don't know that attending
- 32:58Speaker 4: is part of the pandemonium. Yeah, pandemonium. They don't get
- 33:02Speaker 4: that component. They think, oh, no, I watch. No, the
- 33:06Speaker 4: fan goes to the game. That's what makes them fans.
- 33:16Speaker 4: And that's what they run into between selling the ticket
- 33:19Speaker 4: to the bad producer because if he bought for $ 400
- 33:21Speaker 4: and he could sell for $ 900, trust me, he's going
- 33:25Speaker 4: to take the profit. So he's not a true fan.
- 33:26Speaker 4: They don't do that in Pittsburgh. They do that. They
- 33:29Speaker 4: don't do that in Pittsburgh. They don't do that in Pittsburgh.
- 33:31Speaker 4: They're not a fan. And this is the thing.
- 33:34Speaker 5: If they got season tickets and they can't sell it
- 33:38Speaker 5: and make a profit, they just won't show up.
- 33:41Speaker 4: No, that's not true. Wait a minute. Wait a minute.
- 33:43Speaker 4: That's not true.
- 33:43Speaker 5: I'm talking about yesterday. No, it's not true. Hold on
- 33:47Speaker 5: a minute. First of all, pull up the picture. There are,
- 33:51Speaker 5: now these are the observations that I made yesterday. Sports Jock,
- 33:54Speaker 5: you are spot on. First, Chicago did travel exceptionally well
- 33:58Speaker 5: for this game. This is the first time that I've
- 34:00Speaker 5: saw them come like this. Me and my cousins, they
- 34:05Speaker 5: flew in 21 deep to go to the game.
- 34:08Speaker 4: Y'all didn't let T-Bone come, did you?
- 34:11Speaker 5: He can't get out to state. He can't get out
- 34:13Speaker 5: to state. So Bone wasn't there. Bone wasn't there. But
- 34:16Speaker 5: the rest of them snuck out. Some of them shouldn't
- 34:18Speaker 5: have been, but they were here, showed up 21 deep.
- 34:22Speaker 5: They made some observations while they were here. A couple
- 34:25Speaker 5: of them was, wow, we really travel well. I didn't
- 34:28Speaker 5: know that many fans traveled. And I said, well, actually,
- 34:31Speaker 5: probably a thousand of these people live here like me.
- 34:34Speaker 4: And they just still keep their loyalty to Chicago.
- 34:37Speaker 5: Second, man, you guys have the best music in your
- 34:41Speaker 5: arena because it's all black music.
- 34:45Speaker 4: They don't play anything but rap here. I love it. Trap.
- 34:50Speaker 4: Trap rap. Hold on, because I want to make sure.
- 34:52Speaker 4: There is no arrested development. No, it's trap music. They
- 34:57Speaker 4: play all trap. Where you can get up.
- 34:59Speaker 5: It was a couple of times where I had to
- 35:01Speaker 5: remind my cousins, y'all can't do that in here.
- 35:04Speaker 4: They put that out. Put that out. The music came
- 35:07Speaker 4: on and they was like, ah. No, no, no, no, no, no.
- 35:10Speaker 5: We're still in State Farm. And then the other part
- 35:14Speaker 5: is rap.
- 35:14Speaker 4: Y'all got some quiet fans in it, man. Yesterday, Big
- 35:19Speaker 4: Tigger screamed himself to death, make some noise! Make noise now!
- 35:28Speaker 4: And it was ridiculous.
- 35:30Speaker 5: The Falcons fans almost seemed to not show up at all.
- 35:35Speaker 5: Then the Falcons showed scrap and they got no louder.
- 35:39Speaker 4: Well, you have, and you have, that's what I said,
- 35:41Speaker 4: you have the great, maybe, you know, one of the
- 35:44Speaker 4: greatest defensive players, definitely I would put John Abraham on
- 35:50Speaker 4: the top 10 defensive players that's ever played for the Falcons,
- 35:56Speaker 4: telling you that you can't let your fans, and a
- 36:00Speaker 4: couple of weeks ago when I said about booing, and
- 36:03Speaker 4: nobody wants to hear, you boo the opposing team. You
- 36:06Speaker 4: don't boo your team. When you upset with your team,
- 36:10Speaker 4: you know what you do? You sit there. And you go, ah!
- 36:15Speaker 4: Or you leave. We get it. When we turn around
- 36:20Speaker 4: in this mid-third quarter and, man, they on levels. You understand.
- 36:25Speaker 4: We terrible. We got to pick it up, right? It's
- 36:28Speaker 4: the same impact. Booing makes us disengage. But to let
- 36:33Speaker 4: somebody come in like the Chicago team and rule your stadium. Yes, yes.
- 36:40Speaker 4: And as I said, those are the reasons we're going
- 36:42Speaker 4: to go to break. The other reason, as I'll talk
- 36:44Speaker 4: about on the other side, is we live in a
- 36:46Speaker 4: city that would rather engage in the party of a game. Now,
- 36:52Speaker 4: we'll talk about that, too. We'll be right back with
- 36:55Speaker 4: more of the Sports Talk show right after this. He
- 36:56Speaker 4: went to a game for the first time. I ain't
- 36:58Speaker 4: got a big weapon. Clock 17 with the switch with
- 37:00Speaker 4: the clip on. I ain't finna play with you. Boy,
- 37:03Speaker 4: round them out to catch a fade with you. Get
- 37:04Speaker 4: the blicky broad day with you. Don't go away.

- 39:39Speaker 24: Oh, log on so you can see the sports J-O-C,
- 39:43Speaker 24: even Big Candy.
- 39:45Speaker 4: Welcome back to the Sports Talk Show. I'm the Sports
- 39:49Speaker 4: Talk Wayne Gandy. Good morning to you out there in
- 39:55Speaker 4: listening land. We've been talking about John Abraham with the
- 40:01Speaker 4: Falcons and his comments about the fan base. And just,
- 40:05Speaker 4: you know, one last point I was going to say, guys,
- 40:07Speaker 4: and to my listeners out there, is just with Atlanta
- 40:11Speaker 4: being such a party-based everything, everything is a party. You
- 40:18Speaker 4: almost can miss the sentiment of what the engagement is
- 40:23Speaker 4: about centered around the party. We came here to raise
- 40:29Speaker 4: money for the homeless or for, you know, things like that,
- 40:35Speaker 4: but we're so concentrated on the party part that we
- 40:39Speaker 4: have forgotten the point. Everything is about what you're doing
- 40:43Speaker 4: after this. There's more plans about that than what we
- 40:47Speaker 4: were actually doing. Big Kenny, Comanche Greg, Bad Producer, And
- 40:51Speaker 4: that's what I would tell Abe. That's what I would
- 40:53Speaker 4: tell the fan. That's what I, when I'm talking to
- 40:55Speaker 4: the Atlanta fan, I live here, I'm champion all the
- 40:59Speaker 4: Atlanta sports, regardless of what I might've been engaged in
- 41:05Speaker 4: before I moved here. I know that champion the team
- 41:11Speaker 4: where you live creates a real positivity around the city.
- 41:19Speaker 4: A real growth, more than what people think. But here
- 41:21Speaker 4: in Atlanta, since they're just more party, then they led
- 41:24Speaker 4: other teams like the Chicago Bears. And then because people
- 41:28Speaker 4: move here and won't give up. They won't. These aren't
- 41:36Speaker 4: new residents. They didn't move here in 2025, 2024. They've
- 41:38Speaker 4: been here since 98. And will not go to Atlanta
- 41:47Speaker 4: anything until the team they came here with goes. And
- 41:53Speaker 4: then that's when they are part. And that is just
- 41:56Speaker 4: hard on a city's growth. But the party aspect is true.
- 42:03Speaker 4: Is that the fan here in Atlanta would rather go
- 42:05Speaker 4: to wherever the hot party is over than going to
- 42:09Speaker 4: a game. And then they definitely don't want to just
- 42:13Speaker 4: go to the game if there's no pre and post
- 42:17Speaker 4: tailgate party atmosphere. Because an Atlanta fan, if you get
- 42:23Speaker 4: a chance, go somewhere outside of New Orleans because that's
- 42:25Speaker 4: about the only place that y'all will consistently go. Go
- 42:29Speaker 4: to other arenas and then you will get why when
- 42:31Speaker 4: people come here, they are like, wow, this is different.
- 42:37Speaker 4: They don't do this at the Spurs game. I went,
- 42:40Speaker 4: like I said, the Katrina year, first thing I did
- 42:43Speaker 4: was I went to every Spurs game I could that year.
- 42:48Speaker 4: They don't do the party, don't worry about what the
- 42:52Speaker 4: game has to offer party. That's not how it really works.
- 42:59Speaker 4: It only works here, and I don't care who I
- 43:01Speaker 4: take the game, go to game with. They're in shock
- 43:04Speaker 4: and awe. of how you forget You know, we really
- 43:09Speaker 4: came here for the Falcons to win, right? It really
- 43:13Speaker 4: wasn't about us or 112. It is amazing. And Pastor Troy. Yes,
- 43:19Speaker 4: it is. He was there. Bone Crusher was there. This
- 43:24Speaker 4: is the thing.
- 43:24Speaker 5: The only time the Falcons got loud is when the
- 43:27Speaker 5: music came on. I just want to dance. I just
- 43:30Speaker 5: want it. And they would get up and everybody would
- 43:33Speaker 5: do the dance. And then they would hike the ball
- 43:35Speaker 5: and it would go quiet after the game. You got
- 43:38Speaker 5: the GBI on the set. You got Atlanta police. You
- 43:42Speaker 5: got Georgia world Congress center police department. And right there
- 43:47Speaker 5: in front of Mercedes Benz stadium, they still got people
- 43:52Speaker 5: on dirt bikes doing willies and drag racing right there.
- 43:56Speaker 5: And with the grills out and the loud DJs, not a,
- 44:01Speaker 5: Someone playing music from a car.
- 44:02Speaker 4: I'm talking about a DJ with speakers.
- 44:04Speaker 12: Oh, yeah.
- 44:04Speaker 4: You got the setup. And hookah. Oh, yeah.
- 44:07Speaker 5: The police aren't bothering the drag racers or anything. There's
- 44:11Speaker 5: no safety concerns. It's a party atmosphere until the sun
- 44:15Speaker 5: comes up. And still, empty seats in the stadium.
- 44:21Speaker 12: 34-31.
- 44:21Speaker 4: Houston taking down Jacksonville over in London yesterday. Did the
- 44:28Speaker 4: Jags play back-to-back games in London? They just left them
- 44:31Speaker 4: over there. Great idea. They've been doing that for years.
- 44:33Speaker 4: Whoever they send, I know they have four games. So whoever,
- 44:38Speaker 4: like the Jacksonville team, they should play two games. And
- 44:41Speaker 4: whoever else goes over should play the other two. Everybody
- 44:45Speaker 4: shouldn't have to fly over. So great idea to leave
- 44:49Speaker 4: Jacksonville there over the two-week span and just let them
- 44:54Speaker 4: stay there. There's no need to keep sending multiple teams.
- 44:58Speaker 4: Limit some of these teams. as much as possible. The Saints,
- 45:02Speaker 4: the Steelers in Paris this coming Sunday morning, first time
- 45:08Speaker 4: in Paris. The Steelers beating the Bucks yesterday. The Saints
- 45:14Speaker 4: beating the Giants. Giants having an issue. Jameis Winston pulled
- 45:19Speaker 4: in this game. I remember Jackson Dart is out for
- 45:22Speaker 4: the year. Jameis Winston doing what Jameis do. As I
- 45:26Speaker 4: tell you, in years past, Jameis Winston is the greatest,
- 45:31Speaker 4: worst quarterback to ever play the game. He can solidify
- 45:38Speaker 4: why he was drafted number one and show you why
- 45:45Speaker 4: he could have been undrafted all in the same game.
- 45:50Speaker 4: I've never seen someone be able to do, I'm telling you,
- 45:54Speaker 4: this is not some kind of grievance against him. This
- 45:57Speaker 4: is watching a man play And like, that's why he's
- 46:01Speaker 4: number one. I'd have pulled him too. It's the craziest thing.
- 46:06Speaker 25: The best example of that is we talk about the
- 46:09Speaker 25: 30 and 30, the 30 touchdowns, 30 interceptions that same year, he.
- 46:15Speaker 4: Threw for 5,000 yards and led the league.
- 46:18Speaker 25: And it was interesting that he like last week, he
- 46:20Speaker 25: led the comeback that led to the tie with the commanders.
- 46:24Speaker 4: And now they're three and three, one in one. And
- 46:28Speaker 4: then this week, I don't know. I don't know what
- 46:32Speaker 4: that was that they had to. They brought in J.J. McCarthy,
- 46:35Speaker 4: who's only been there for five minutes. And this is
- 46:37Speaker 4: why I said, not week to week. In the same game.
- 46:43Speaker 4: So it's not, I'm going to play the number one.
- 46:45Speaker 4: I'm going to look like a number one pick this week.
- 46:47Speaker 4: And then I'm going to look like I shouldn't be
- 46:49Speaker 4: in the league next week. This is quarter to quarter.
- 46:53Speaker 4: Hold my beer. He's consistent, though. Hold my beer. Watch this.
- 46:56Speaker 4: Consistently inconsistent. Y'all thought that was good. Watch me mess
- 47:00Speaker 4: this up. Consistently inconsistent. He said quarter to quarter.
- 47:04Speaker 25: He could throw three touchdowns in the first quarter and
- 47:07Speaker 25: three interceptions in the second quarter.
- 47:08Speaker 4: Defense got to step up because you know what you got.
- 47:11Speaker 4: You can only do so much to overcome turnovers. With
- 47:13Speaker 4: more of the Sports Talk show right after this.
- 47:20Speaker 7: Don't go away. More of the Sports Jock Show with
- 47:22Speaker 7: Wayne Gambia is coming up next.
- 47:38Speaker 21: We won't give you the real talk on drugs, but
- 47:41Speaker 21: it's time we know the facts. Fentanyl is killing people.
- 47:44Speaker 21: It's a powerful opioid, often made illegally and commonly mixed
- 47:47Speaker 21: with illicit drugs. It can even be pressed into counterfeit
- 47:51Speaker 21: pills that resemble prescription medications. Just two milligrams, about the
- 47:55Speaker 21: size of a few grains of sand, could potentially be lethal.
- 47:58Speaker 21: This isn't an ad to scare you, but it is
- 48:00Speaker 21: an ad to make you think twice. Get the facts.
- 48:03Speaker 21: Go to realdealonfentanyl.com. This message is brought to you by

- 48:56Speaker 7: And now, back to the sports jar, Wayne Gandy.
- 49:01Speaker 4: Center Court on sports, news, gossip, blah, blah, blah.
- 49:08Speaker 7: Blah, blah.
- 49:13Speaker 15: Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh. Welcome back to the Sports
- 49:24Speaker 15: Talk Show. I'm the Sports.
- 49:33Speaker 24: Talk, Wayne Candy.
- 49:34Speaker 4: Commanders, 49ers tonight. The Dream Valkyries tonight. I think the
- 49:46Speaker 4: Dream game starts at 8. The 49er game, Monday Night Football,
- 49:50Speaker 4: starts at 8.15. Comanche Greg is saying, actually, game six
- 49:55Speaker 4: is tonight between the Rays and the Guardians. I thought
- 50:01Speaker 4: maybe they had a day off and then would resume.
- 50:04Speaker 4: But game six is tonight in that. So three, or
- 50:09Speaker 4: is it a day game? I know they played a
- 50:11Speaker 4: couple of these in the day. What time is the game?
- 50:14Speaker 4: 8 o'clock. 8 o'clock. So you got basically all three,
- 50:17Speaker 4: Major League Baseball, WNBA, and Monday Night Football, where you
- 50:21Speaker 4: have Jaden Daniels and Brock Purdy going at it tonight.
- 50:28Speaker 4: So all that starting at 8 o'clock tonight. Kenny?
- 50:32Speaker 5: I was going to ask, with the Major League Baseball playoffs,
- 50:36Speaker 5: are they streaming those? Because if you look on the
- 50:39Speaker 5: regular networks, it's kind of hard to find.
- 50:43Speaker 4: They've been on TBS, True TV.
- 50:49Speaker 5: That might be it, TBS and True TV. I'm searching ABC, Fox,
- 50:54Speaker 5: and they're on True TV. The World Series will be
- 50:56Speaker 5: on Fox.
- 50:57Speaker 4: Okay. There we go. Yeah, they've broken it down. Typically,
- 51:02Speaker 4: we grew up, we're one network. Did it all the time.
- 51:06Speaker 4: All the time. The whole time. Yes. Now they're distributing it.
- 51:09Speaker 4: They package everything. So everything is on. Yeah, Peacock, which
- 51:12Speaker 4: is NBC, had a couple of the baseball games early on. Yeah,
- 51:15Speaker 4: they sell different packages. You had to stream and find
- 51:18Speaker 4: some of the games on Peacock. Yeah. They're all in
- 51:22Speaker 4: business together. Yeah. Because they're forcing you to basically have all.
- 51:28Speaker 4: If you want to see any of it.
- 51:29Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 51:30Speaker 4: Because you might have to go through three, four different
- 51:33Speaker 4: apps to watch a series based on what day. We
- 51:37Speaker 4: did have a couple of comments the guys told me
- 51:39Speaker 4: about this morning so far. Guys, what's going on there online?
- 51:44Speaker 5: Yeah, we have our loyal online listeners. First, our Raiders
- 51:49Speaker 5: fan from New York asked, did Kenny abandon the Jets
- 51:52Speaker 5: and go back to the hometown Bears?
- 51:54Speaker 4: The answer is yes.
- 51:55Speaker 5: I told you that this paperwork had been filed several
- 51:58Speaker 5: seasons ago. This weekend when the Cousins flew in, it was.
- 52:03Speaker 4: You got jumped back in. I got jumped back in.
- 52:06Speaker 5: I didn't want to say that, but I'm officially initiated now.
- 52:09Speaker 5: The coordinator filed a paperwork. They signed off on it.
- 52:13Speaker 5: I got my rookie name and my official jersey that
- 52:16Speaker 5: had been purchased back in 2021 because we had been
- 52:19Speaker 5: playing in this for a while. And now I am
- 52:22Speaker 5: officially back home as a Chicago Bears fan.
- 52:26Speaker 4: Home really... is atlanta though which is why i wait
- 52:31Speaker 4: for a couple decades which is why we take over
- 52:34Speaker 4: cities when we come because i haven't given up my
- 52:37Speaker 4: loyalty to the home team it is exactly what you
- 52:39Speaker 4: said i explained that to my cousins yesterday like yeah
- 52:42Speaker 4: 22 of y'all came from out of town but The
- 52:45Speaker 4: rest of these people live in Smyrna with me.
- 52:47Speaker 5: You know what I'm saying? We all Cobb County residents.
- 52:50Speaker 5: It's that kind of thing.
- 52:51Speaker 4: Well, I mean, y'all had a tough week losing Mike Ditka. So,
- 52:56Speaker 4: you know, a lot of emotions. The funniest thing yesterday
- 53:00Speaker 4: was I saw an entire family. First of all, that's
- 53:04Speaker 4: not a tough loss. That's a celebration loss. Mike Ditka
- 53:09Speaker 4: lived to be 86 years old. And did what he did.
- 53:13Speaker 4: And did everything.
- 53:14Speaker 5: Like I said, yesterday I saw an entire family from
- 53:16Speaker 5: the grandfather to the smallest baby with a Ditka mustache
- 53:21Speaker 5: and the glasses and the hair. And he's iconic like that.
- 53:26Speaker 5: This gentleman said, I went back to the Bears with
- 53:30Speaker 5: painted fingernails and all.
- 53:34Speaker 4: That's Caleb Williams crack, but I mean, you got jumped in,
- 53:39Speaker 4: so you know you had to. Mr.
- 53:40Speaker 5: Keith Ramsey said, Good morning, gentlemen. I'm in an abusive
- 53:43Speaker 5: relationship with the Dallas Cowboys. Comanche Greg knows what that's like.
- 53:48Speaker 5: And Jared Lloyd also says, Teams with no more real
- 53:52Speaker 5: home field advantage. Both L.A. teams, Arizona and Vegas. And
- 53:58Speaker 5: Elder Casey says he's sorry that he's late, but he's
- 54:02Speaker 5: still suffering from the horrible game that the Falcons played yesterday.
- 54:08Speaker 5: And then Uncle Charlie said it's going to be hard
- 54:11Speaker 5: for him to watch Mayberry tonight.
- 54:14Speaker 4: Mayberry? That's Andy Griffith.
- 54:17Speaker 5: My elders call it Mayberry. They usually be watching Andy Griffith,
- 54:22Speaker 5: but with all that sports on tonight, he's going to
- 54:25Speaker 5: have to tune in to something.
- 54:27Speaker 4: The Cowboys did suffer another defeat. They lost last week
- 54:31Speaker 4: to Tampa Bay, giving them their first win. and they
- 54:37Speaker 4: lost last night to Green Bay. Only thing I can say,
- 54:42Speaker 4: in a lot of teams, I keep trying to, like,
- 54:45Speaker 4: conversate with people about football. Most of you are stuck
- 54:50Speaker 4: in your ways. But no matter what I say, you
- 54:53Speaker 4: don't listen because that's just how sports are. It doesn't
- 54:57Speaker 4: matter who is actually giving you some understanding. The Dallas Cowboys,
- 55:02Speaker 4: Dak Prescott, is a high-level game manager. 99% of the
- 55:11Speaker 4: quarterbacks in the NFL are high-level game managers. You're putting
- 55:19Speaker 4: too much pressure on success being driven from one person's.
- 55:27Speaker 7: Talent.
- 55:30Speaker 4: So most of you go look in the mirror Because
- 55:35Speaker 4: the quarterback absorbs so much. If the salary cap is
- 55:42Speaker 4: 200 million, the quarterbacks are eating up a quarter of that.
- 55:51Speaker 4: They're eating up 50 million of it. Because we have
- 55:55Speaker 4: decided as fans, that's the only way you can win
- 55:57Speaker 4: a game. Now, I don't know when these decisions were
- 56:00Speaker 4: made for you guys, that that's it. But the Dallas
- 56:06Speaker 4: Cowboys don't run the ball. No, they don't. So Dak
- 56:12Speaker 4: has to make everything, every decision. Justin Herbert out there,
- 56:19Speaker 4: the charges are 0 and 6. It's the same thing.
- 56:22Speaker 4: Dak threw it 54 times. That's right. If you remember
- 56:26Speaker 4: a while back. That's not Dak. Dak Prescott talent set
- 56:29Speaker 4: is to go 27 points. of 35 for 280 yards
- 56:36Speaker 4: and two touchdowns. That's where you want Dak Prescott to be.
- 56:40Speaker 4: He should never be. This game was 23 to 13.
- 56:44Speaker 4: How do you throw the ball 54 times in a
- 56:46Speaker 4: game that didn't have but 36 points? But y'all want
- 56:57Speaker 4: to win through the quarterback.
- 56:58Speaker 5: This is the thing I think that also frustrates people
- 57:01Speaker 5: with Dallas is we've seen teams put all of the
- 57:08Speaker 5: expectation of results on the back of the quarterback or
- 57:11Speaker 5: the one-star player. But they're empty at the other positions,
- 57:16Speaker 5: and you see this might be a rebuilding year.
- 57:18Speaker 4: Well, Dallas got people. Dallas got people. A while back. No,
- 57:21Speaker 4: they don't. A while back, they pulled. The running back
- 57:24Speaker 4: was like. Who is the running back? We're not even
- 57:26Speaker 4: going to put a running back in. Javante Williams. Who
- 57:29Speaker 4: is the running back for the Dallas Cowboys? Javante Williams. No, no, no, no.
- 57:33Speaker 4: Who is the running back? What is his resume? I've
- 57:38Speaker 4: never heard of him. He played for Denver a couple
- 57:41Speaker 4: years ago. But he wasn't the starter there. I think
- 57:45Speaker 4: Dak closed his eyes when he told the ball. He
- 57:47Speaker 4: just kind of happened to be the starter right now.
- 57:50Speaker 4: We'll be back. More of the Sports Jock Show right
- 57:52Speaker 4: after this.
- 58:11Speaker 13: I actually drive better when I'm high. If anything, I'm
- 58:20Speaker 13: more careful.
- 58:21Speaker 14: That's probably what the driver who killed a four-year-old told himself.
- 58:24Speaker 14: And now he's in prison. If you feel different, you
- 58:27Speaker 14: drive different. Don't drive high. brought to you by NHTSA
- 58:30Speaker 14: and the Ad Council.
- 58:31Speaker 9: And now let's talk about something exciting, life insurance.
- 58:34Speaker 8: Three-quarters of Americans believe that coverage represents a critical piece
- 58:38Speaker 8: of financial security, yet only 49% actually have life insurance.
- 58:42Speaker 19: When I was 25, me and my wife were just
- 58:44Speaker 19: getting started with our family and thought we lived forever.
- 58:47Speaker 19: Life insurance was the last thing on my mind.
- 58:49Speaker 4: What about you?
- 58:50Speaker 9: Will you be leaving benefits or bills?
- 58:52Speaker 19: When I was 40, with a kid in college and
- 58:54Speaker 19: bills piling up, I was worried how my family would
- 58:56Speaker 19: survive without me. That's when I made an appointment with
- 58:58Speaker 19: the insurance informant.
- 58:59Speaker 8: Information gives you power and life insurance gives your family security,
- 59:03Speaker 8: no matter what stage of life you're in.
- 59:05Speaker 19: Now that I'm older, I don't worry about whether I
- 59:07Speaker 19: leave my family with bills or benefits.
- 59:09Speaker 4: The answer is no.
- 59:00Speaker 9: We'll be right back.
- 59:21Speaker 8: Benefits or bills which legacy will you leave behind log
- 59:25Speaker 8: on today benefits or bills.com that's benefits or bills.com enough.
- 59:32Speaker 1: Is enough i have had it why so serious.
- 59:40Speaker 3: And we hold the world ransom for excuse me while
- 59:44Speaker 3: i whip this.
- 59:45Speaker 4: Out show me Broadcasting live in Atlanta, Georgia. This, this
- 59:51Speaker 4: is the Sports Chalk Show with Wayne Gandy.
- 59:55Speaker 23: You may build me up, build me up, yeah, yeah,
- 59:58Speaker 23: you will build me up, yeah.
- 59:59Speaker 17: But you won't break me down, I've come too far,
- 1:00:02Speaker 17: I've come too far, yeah, yeah, I've.
- 1:00:04Speaker 9: Come too far, yeah.
- 1:00:05Speaker 4: So just throw me in the towel, hey, hey, hey, hey.
- 1:00:08Speaker 2: It's a new day, I'm a, I'm a doobie, yeah,
- 1:00:11Speaker 2: I'm gonna go all the way. You may build me up.
- 1:00:15Speaker 4: Welcome back to the Sports Shock Show. I'm the Sports
- 1:00:17Speaker 4: Shock Wayne Kendi. Monday night is kind of like a
- 1:00:21Speaker 4: Saturday with all the action tonight. Monday night football with
- 1:00:25Speaker 4: the Commanders and the 49ers, the Dream and the Valkyrie,
- 1:00:30Speaker 4: and Game 6, ALCS, Major League Baseball is going on
- 1:00:37Speaker 4: as well as a temporary raise up 3-2 on the
- 1:00:40Speaker 4: Cleveland Guardians. So heavyweights. Tonight, get you a nap early
- 1:00:46Speaker 4: so you can watch because all of that, except for
- 1:00:48Speaker 4: the WME game, they go kind of quick. But that
- 1:00:53Speaker 4: football and baseball could keep you up to midnight.
- 1:00:56Speaker 5: You mess around with baseball, it'll be 2 a.m. Baseball
- 1:01:01Speaker 5: moving pretty quick now. With the pitch clock. I'm talking
- 1:01:05Speaker 5: about those extra innings that they go to. They mess
- 1:01:08Speaker 5: around and tie it up, and you know how they
- 1:01:09Speaker 5: do in baseball. especially in the playoffs.
- 1:01:11Speaker 4: We were talking about the Dallas Cowboys. It's the running game.
- 1:01:15Speaker 4: It's the same thing if you drive a couple of
- 1:01:16Speaker 4: miles up to Texas, Texas losing to Florida. Everybody wants
- 1:01:21Speaker 4: to pile on Arch Manning. When were you going to
- 1:01:25Speaker 4: let Arch Manning develop? Will you find him a running game?
- 1:01:30Speaker 4: Do they run the ball? Half the time, Arch lead
- 1:01:34Speaker 4: the team in rushes. Between all the times he has
- 1:01:37Speaker 4: to scramble, are y'all going to run the ball or
- 1:01:39Speaker 4: y'all just think arch? And you do know defenses. You know,
- 1:01:45Speaker 4: there's people, Big Kenny, Comanche Greg, Bad Producer. There's a
- 1:01:50Speaker 4: whole nother side of the ball, right? Where these guys
- 1:01:53Speaker 4: sit around and study and recognize what you're not doing, right?
- 1:02:01Speaker 4: And so y'all ain't going to run the ball.
- 1:02:03Speaker 12: Okay.
- 1:02:04Speaker 4: So defensively, We're going to do this then until you
- 1:02:08Speaker 4: run the ball. Arch Manning, is he? I don't know.
- 1:02:12Speaker 4: Maybe he'll be a better pro than he's been in college.
- 1:02:14Speaker 4: I do know he's sat up with a lot of pressure.
- 1:02:17Speaker 4: And expectation. To be the only one to deliver. We
- 1:02:23Speaker 4: don't talk about anybody else. But you would think in Texas.
- 1:02:25Speaker 4: On the offense. But you would think in Texas, though.
- 1:02:28Speaker 4: All the running backs that have. We don't talk about
- 1:02:30Speaker 4: the line.
- 1:02:31Speaker 25: We don't talk about how fast their receivers are.
- 1:02:34Speaker 4: I don't know who a running back is. But all
- 1:02:38Speaker 4: the running backs that have came through Texas, you would
- 1:02:41Speaker 4: think Texas would at least have a top-tier running back
- 1:02:45Speaker 4: along with Arch.
- 1:02:47Speaker 5: And for me, a quick spin around the block is, That,
- 1:02:50Speaker 5: what you just said about Arch Manning, is what I
- 1:02:52Speaker 5: think some of the problem is in Dallas, is the
- 1:02:55Speaker 5: only person we talk about is Dak, and the rest
- 1:02:57Speaker 5: of the players resent that.
- 1:02:58Speaker 4: Some of them.
- 1:03:00Speaker 5: Seem to play less than at their 100% full-out best
- 1:03:06Speaker 5: if they're not being recognized here in this game. If
- 1:03:11Speaker 5: you need to target me, you need to look at me,
- 1:03:14Speaker 5: and if they're not getting that, they seem to have
- 1:03:16Speaker 5: problems on and off the field. Texas seems to, Arch
- 1:03:22Speaker 5: Manning suffers from what you say is y'all keep asking
- 1:03:26Speaker 5: people to just talk about Arch Manning. You've been talking
- 1:03:29Speaker 5: about him since he's in the seventh grade. And now
- 1:03:32Speaker 5: he's here, and you are waiting for wings to sprout
- 1:03:36Speaker 5: out his back and his face to morph from Archie
- 1:03:41Speaker 5: to Peyton to Eli back into Arch Manning and win
- 1:03:47Speaker 5: a national championship.
- 1:03:49Speaker 25: I think people wanted to play like Archie or Peyton
- 1:03:53Speaker 25: or Eli, but he Cooper's son.
- 1:03:57Speaker 4: I'm saying he can't just be Arch. He just can't
- 1:03:59Speaker 4: be himself, and that's the whole thing.
- 1:04:02Speaker 25: Everybody's expecting him to morph into something else.
- 1:04:05Speaker 4: How about we run the ball. You got a very
- 1:04:10Speaker 4: expensive O-line that you spent a lot of money on
- 1:04:15Speaker 4: and bring a little more balance to help Arch out.
- 1:04:18Speaker 4: But I'm saying the same thing with Dallas. I can
- 1:04:21Speaker 4: say the same thing with the Chargers. for Atlanta to
- 1:04:24Speaker 4: have any chance. That's how they have to for the Steelers.
- 1:04:28Speaker 4: Everybody needs to stop this. Let's throw the ball 50
- 1:04:31Speaker 4: times and get back to why those records from yesteryear
- 1:04:36Speaker 4: were what they were. It's a reason why all those,
- 1:04:40Speaker 4: it's not about the capable. It's about how do we
- 1:04:43Speaker 4: figure out how to win. You don't win when you
- 1:04:47Speaker 4: have to throw the ball more than 40 times. You
- 1:04:50Speaker 4: don't really want to hit that number. That means you're
- 1:04:54Speaker 4: not balanced. Especially if you're not scoring. And you're not
- 1:05:00Speaker 4: doing it. Dallas doesn't play any defense. Why? Because y'all
- 1:05:02Speaker 4: gave all the money to the offensive people. It's just
- 1:05:05Speaker 4: how it goes sometimes. So now you're depending on your
- 1:05:08Speaker 4: draft picks a lot of times to bail you out.
- 1:05:12Speaker 4: But you have to find balance. But there's a lot
- 1:05:13Speaker 4: of teams in trouble. The L.A. Rams. Two and four.
- 1:05:20Speaker 4: Remember the Rams and Chargers were... Favorites to play in
- 1:05:24Speaker 4: the Super Bowl. Now the Chargers at 0-6. You can
- 1:05:30Speaker 4: start getting gassing the bus up. For Cancun? Yeah, wherever
- 1:05:35Speaker 4: you want to go. They're closer to Hawaii than Cancun.
- 1:05:40Speaker 4: Might as well just go over there. They can go
- 1:05:42Speaker 4: to Cabo or something. Well, I figured they could drive.
- 1:05:44Speaker 4: They didn't have to get on a plane. They could
- 1:05:45Speaker 4: just drive through Tijuana and just drive on into Mexico.
- 1:05:49Speaker 4: That would take them to Cabo, not to Cancun. The
- 1:05:52Speaker 4: Cardinals' two wins are over the Chargers and the Rams
- 1:05:56Speaker 4: in SoFi Stadium. Excuse me?
- 1:05:58Speaker 25: The two wins for the Cardinals this season are over
- 1:06:00Speaker 25: the Chargers and the Rams in SoFi Stadium.
- 1:06:03Speaker 5: So the Cardinals is 2-0 in SoFi. California. We talked
- 1:06:07Speaker 5: about what the problem is with a Dallas. Why are
- 1:06:13Speaker 5: the Rams and the Chargers struggling?
- 1:06:18Speaker 4: Well, the same thing with the Chargers. They don't have
- 1:06:19Speaker 4: a running back. Who's the running back? Everything's supposed to
- 1:06:22Speaker 4: go through Justin Herbert. Their receiving core is average at best.
- 1:06:25Speaker 4: At least Dallas does have two better receivers. But the
- 1:06:30Speaker 4: offense and different sides of the ball feed off of
- 1:06:33Speaker 4: each other. I know you think we're independent. But a
- 1:06:37Speaker 4: lot of it is the defense looks over there and
- 1:06:40Speaker 4: we give you a chance that first quarter, man, y'all
- 1:06:42Speaker 4: ain't getting nothing done. We right back. Remember all that
- 1:06:45Speaker 4: hoorah we had all week, how y'all was going to
- 1:06:47Speaker 4: flip it over? And we right back out here in
- 1:06:50Speaker 4: this situation with all the pressure to have to deliver.
- 1:06:54Speaker 4: The Rams, to me, the expectations, that Puka Nakua, Being
- 1:07:01Speaker 4: out early, I think, kind of has thrown them a
- 1:07:03Speaker 4: little bit off up there. And even though, to me,
- 1:07:08Speaker 4: their offensive line didn't get any better from last year.
- 1:07:13Speaker 4: And as I said, it's just, oh, we got Matt
- 1:07:16Speaker 4: Stafford and these two receivers, so we don't have to
- 1:07:20Speaker 4: have any of that. And then you take the thing
- 1:07:22Speaker 4: that Myles Garrett defensively. Remember, this is supposed to be him.
- 1:07:27Speaker 4: He's supposed to be. He hasn't played. He hasn't played
- 1:07:30Speaker 4: but what, one game or none? The first game. The
- 1:07:32Speaker 4: first game, right? So the guy we thought was going
- 1:07:35Speaker 4: to lead the defense is not there. And now what
- 1:07:39Speaker 4: we brought back in 99, he gets doubled. He came
- 1:07:48Speaker 4: back because he thought he was going to get single blocked.
- 1:07:52Speaker 4: Now he getting crunched. They getting crunched. He's getting two
- 1:07:55Speaker 4: men on him. He's getting their work. Because the other
- 1:07:58Speaker 4: guy is gone.
- 1:08:00Speaker 25: Also as well, I think last year the Rams won
- 1:08:04Speaker 25: a lot of close games. And this time around, the
- 1:08:09Speaker 25: last four games have been close games that they could
- 1:08:11Speaker 25: have won. They won one of those. They lost by
- 1:08:16Speaker 25: four to the Broncos. They beat the Eagles by four.
- 1:08:18Speaker 25: They lost to the Bills in overtime. And then they
- 1:08:22Speaker 25: lose to the Cardinals in on a last second field goal.
- 1:08:25Speaker 25: So it's like, now you're those close games that you
- 1:08:29Speaker 25: might've been winning before. You're not winning those games now.
- 1:08:34Speaker 25: I know that's not like an ability, but that's, it
- 1:08:39Speaker 25: could be in the game execution or just like however
- 1:08:43Speaker 25: the ball bounces or whatever that those close games. Now
- 1:08:46Speaker 25: you're not winning those. So now it doesn't, it doesn't
- 1:08:49Speaker 25: seem now those problems that they may have had are
- 1:08:53Speaker 25: more magnified. that they were winning, so it didn't really
- 1:08:57Speaker 25: it didn't really matter.
- 1:08:58Speaker 4: Too much before and everybody just felt like with the
- 1:09:02Speaker 4: two quarterbacks i'm telling you y'all are so quarterback driven
- 1:09:06Speaker 4: that y'all have decided that whoever has the big name
- 1:09:09Speaker 4: big salary quarterback their team's must gonna win staffer was
- 1:09:13Speaker 4: the mvp so yeah Oh, okay. There were higher expectations
- 1:09:18Speaker 4: this time from the MVP. What else do we have
- 1:09:24Speaker 4: going on, guys? Anybody else we need to talk about
- 1:09:27Speaker 4: on the NFL side before we move on to some
- 1:09:30Speaker 4: other things like the NBA season starting this week? No,
- 1:09:36Speaker 4: I think we covered all. Are the Eagles in trouble?
- 1:09:40Speaker 16: We hadn't talked about Kenny's twins. The Raiders and their
- 1:09:46Speaker 16: loss last night. I thought that was your tweet.
- 1:09:49Speaker 4: Well, the Raiders put up a great fight against Buffalo.
- 1:09:53Speaker 4: He know. Right? Yeah. Last night, lost by three. Kirk
- 1:09:57Speaker 4: Cousins looked good in the game. Defense, you know, gave
- 1:10:02Speaker 4: up some points there, but they were playing Josh Allen
- 1:10:05Speaker 4: in this situation. Man, they ran a great play last night. Buffalo? Buffalo?
- 1:10:14Speaker 4: It was, I mean, it was just like everybody went
- 1:10:17Speaker 4: right and the back went to the left.
- 1:10:20Speaker 16: And he overthrew him. But it was a great play.
- 1:10:24Speaker 16: I mean, just like one of those situations, the man
- 1:10:26Speaker 16: was wide open. But they got some, Buffalo got some
- 1:10:30Speaker 16: good plays. It's just, can they hold on?
- 1:10:32Speaker 4: The Tennessee Titans winning their first game yesterday over the Colts.
- 1:10:37Speaker 4: Cleveland beating Baltimore with a field goal. So Cleveland, Baltimore,
- 1:10:42Speaker 4: and the Steelers are all tied at 4-2 in that division.
- 1:10:47Speaker 4: We talked about the Jets losing. Carolina still keeping up
- 1:10:51Speaker 4: with their winning ways. In that division.
- 1:10:56Speaker 5: Uncle Charlie just commented, Lordy, the Browns Panthers have better
- 1:11:00Speaker 5: wins than Rams, Cowboys, and the Chargers.
- 1:11:02Speaker 4: Must be fake news. But no, tis true. No, it
- 1:11:06Speaker 4: actually happened. Tis true. It wasn't AI.
- 1:11:10Speaker 12: No.
- 1:11:11Speaker 4: No filters.
- 1:11:14Speaker 25: I think people are going to be conflicted in a
- 1:11:15Speaker 25: couple weeks if the Browns win a couple more games
- 1:11:18Speaker 25: that Deshaun Watson is going to be considered for the MVP.
- 1:11:21Speaker 25: And people are going to feel weird about it.
- 1:11:24Speaker 4: Who, Deshaun?
- 1:11:25Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 1:11:25Speaker 4: Or Bryce Young, being considered both are doing a great job.
- 1:11:30Speaker 4: Bryce Young in a contract year, so he's shining. Deshaun Watson,
- 1:11:34Speaker 4: I think when he beat the Texans, he kind of
- 1:11:36Speaker 4: let everybody understand, hey, I'm just more about a winner.
- 1:11:40Speaker 4: So that's it. Right, yeah. Don't sit here. I'm not
- 1:11:45Speaker 4: a four-touchdown kind of guy. And that's what I got confused, too.
- 1:11:50Speaker 4: Everybody let his salary make you think he was about
- 1:11:55Speaker 4: to turn into Dan Marino. At the Texans, he was
- 1:11:59Speaker 4: just a guy that he found a way to make
- 1:12:02Speaker 4: some plays enough to win. Yeah, because the Texans weren't
- 1:12:06Speaker 4: like that. He's in a Jalen Hurts frame to me.
- 1:12:11Speaker 4: They're just guys that they're competitive, they're tough, and they
- 1:12:15Speaker 4: just keep playing. But I don't know why everybody thinks
- 1:12:19Speaker 4: as soon as you get the big contract, your numbers
- 1:12:22Speaker 4: are just going to explode. That's not even how Deshaun plays.
- 1:12:26Speaker 4: He's not a 400-yard passer. He's a game manager where
- 1:12:31Speaker 4: you need to run the ball. How much was his
- 1:12:33Speaker 4: contract guaranteed for? 250.
- 1:12:35Speaker 5: You got to come up with some passing phenomenalness for that, sir.
- 1:12:40Speaker 4: Oh, you're going to have to unmanage. Got to be
- 1:12:44Speaker 4: a leader. I need you to master it. I need
- 1:12:46Speaker 4: to be a leader. I'm just a high level. Forge
- 1:12:48Speaker 4: us into a new frontier. I'm a high level. We
- 1:12:50Speaker 4: got the win. That don't mean nothing. High level game manager.
- 1:12:54Speaker 4: I need you, Captain. High level. High price game manager.
- 1:12:58Speaker 4: We'll be back. More of the Sports Jock Show right

- 1:15:59Speaker 4: Welcome back to the Sports Talk Show. I'm the Sports
- 1:16:01Speaker 4: Talk's Wayne Candy. Good morning to you once again. Bad producer,
- 1:16:06Speaker 4: somebody sent something online. You're laughing at it. What did
- 1:16:08Speaker 4: they say? Elder Casey killed me.
- 1:16:10Speaker 16: He said, I got an autographed Cousins jersey I haven't
- 1:16:13Speaker 16: worn yet.
- 1:16:13Speaker 4: I might rock that this Sunday. What team? Washington? Atlanta?
- 1:16:17Speaker 4: Which team? Which Cousins jersey do you have? Why would
- 1:16:21Speaker 4: he have a Washington? He said he has an autograph.
- 1:16:27Speaker 4: That's one of the teams. He's a Falcons fan.
- 1:16:30Speaker 16: I wouldn't wear a Kirk Cousins jersey and he's not
- 1:16:33Speaker 16: with us anymore.
- 1:16:34Speaker 4: Well, Kirk Cousins is back to doing what Kirk Cousins
- 1:16:38Speaker 4: did and what made him so valuable and what the
- 1:16:40Speaker 4: Falcons were hoping to get from him. Unfortunately, the Falcons
- 1:16:46Speaker 4: and the Falcon fan just were not patient enough. They
- 1:16:52Speaker 4: didn't factor that it's hard to get a lot out
- 1:16:56Speaker 4: of an Achilles tear the year after you tear it.
- 1:17:04Speaker 4: And everybody here, because the only person that the Atlanta
- 1:17:09Speaker 4: fan can accept being the quarterback is Michael Vick, everybody
- 1:17:13Speaker 4: else is trash if they don't automatically look like Tom
- 1:17:17Speaker 4: Brady day one. So it's just an interesting thing. Kirk
- 1:17:21Speaker 4: Cousins is not doing anything more than what Kirk Cousins
- 1:17:25Speaker 4: was doing before he came to Atlanta. He just came
- 1:17:28Speaker 4: to Atlanta hurt. The organization had failed in trying to
- 1:17:34Speaker 4: get Deshaun Watson. And this is some of the way
- 1:17:37Speaker 4: I always say I'm confused about how everybody got somebody
- 1:17:40Speaker 4: to be at fault. The Atlanta Falcons made a move
- 1:17:44Speaker 4: to try to get Deshaun Watson, who they didn't know
- 1:17:46Speaker 4: whether he was going to turn out to be great
- 1:17:48Speaker 4: or not. All he was was a local product from Gainesville, Georgia.
- 1:17:53Speaker 4: Cleveland guaranteed the contract. He floated on. They went out
- 1:17:57Speaker 4: to get the best quarterback on the market that was
- 1:18:00Speaker 4: available in Kirk Cousins. Whether you agree with it or not,
- 1:18:03Speaker 4: the organization was trying. Kirk was coming off an Achilles.
- 1:18:09Speaker 4: He already was not a mobile guy. Now with the Achilles,
- 1:18:13Speaker 4: he can just go back and forth, but is healed.
- 1:18:17Speaker 4: And now with the Raiders, whether they're winning or not,
- 1:18:19Speaker 4: he's holding down that spot until Mendoza. He's doing an
- 1:18:24Speaker 4: admirable job knowing that I'm not even the guy for
- 1:18:27Speaker 4: the future. I'm just holding down another man's spot and
- 1:18:31Speaker 4: giving them a chance to win. So that's just how,
- 1:18:34Speaker 4: but I don't know why it's always fault-based. Maybe y'all
- 1:18:37Speaker 4: guys will teach me that as we go forward. One
- 1:18:41Speaker 4: quick question before we do the birthdays, guys. Will the
- 1:18:44Speaker 4: Philadelphia 76ers win? the NBA championship this year? You can
- 1:18:57Speaker 4: tell me this after the next break. All right. A
- 1:19:01Speaker 4: couple of birthdays here off the weekend and the start
- 1:19:04Speaker 4: of the week. Zach Efron, 39 years old. That means,
- 1:19:07Speaker 4: Big Kenny, you're old. because Zac Efron was on the
- 1:19:12Speaker 4: Disney Network 45 years ago. And now he's 39. I
- 1:19:17Speaker 4: wanted to say, but Zac Efron was on Disney Network
- 1:19:20Speaker 4: 49 years ago, and he was 30. He was 30 then.
- 1:19:21Speaker 4: He's 39. Neo is 47. Riley Green is 38 years old.
- 1:19:23Speaker 4: A guy that I thought, and I'm still not sure
- 1:19:26Speaker 4: if this is right, The mayor of New York. I'm Donnie.
- 1:19:47Speaker 4: I'm Donnie. It's only 35 years old. That's impossible. Impossible.
- 1:19:53Speaker 4: I think Zorman Dali. No, I think he's pulling off.
- 1:19:56Speaker 4: He looks older than me. He doing like the Dominican
- 1:20:00Speaker 4: ball players or the Cuban players. I think he's doing
- 1:20:02Speaker 4: what John Thompson did with. Shaved a few years off. Oh,
- 1:20:10Speaker 4: with Dikembe? Dikembe Mutombo. Yeah, with the players, yeah. Got it. Yeah,
- 1:20:13Speaker 4: he got to. Because you can't tell me that Lindani
- 1:20:17Speaker 4: is 35. Because they got pictures of him hanging out with.

- 1:21:51Speaker 4: The Jets, okay. He's on trial for murder. Did I
- 1:21:55Speaker 4: get that right?
- 1:21:57Speaker 18: Yes.
- 1:21:57Speaker 4: Okay. Got you. It happens. No, no, no. You're right.
- 1:22:02Speaker 4: You're right. It shouldn't. 32 years old. It shouldn't be happening.

- 1:22:52Speaker 4: from Marvel? Bavaro? Bavaro. Who is just everything. Plays happy. Yes,
- 1:22:59Speaker 4: he does. He'd be the director. He is the director.
- 1:23:02Speaker 4: And executive producer. And everything for the last 20 years.
- 1:23:05Speaker 4: And the key grip. Everything is 60 years old. Kenny
- 1:23:09Speaker 4: has to go to break. A little work here. Frida Pinto.
- 1:23:13Speaker 12: Okay.
- 1:23:13Speaker 4: Okay. Okay. You're going with Pinto. Clonk, clonk, clonk. Clonk, clonk.
- 1:23:16Speaker 4: Frida Pinto, 42 years old. We'll be back. Remember, the
- 1:23:20Speaker 4: question is, will the Sixers, the Philadelphia 76ers, LeBron James,
- 1:23:25Speaker 4: Joe LeBee, Jalen Brown, Tyrese Maxey. With a game. I
- 1:23:35Speaker 4: don't even know the head coach up there. Who the
- 1:23:37Speaker 4: head coach for the Sixers? Nick Nurse. He's still there.
- 1:23:40Speaker 4: Nick Nurse still in the league. Nick. He must have
- 1:23:43Speaker 4: a rabbit's foot. Nicholas. We'll be back with more of
- 1:23:45Speaker 4: the Sports Jock Show right after this. Don't go away.
- 1:23:57Speaker 6: More of the Sports Jock Show with Wayne Gamby is
- 1:24:00Speaker 6: coming up next.
- 1:24:02Speaker 22: I'm a pretty great multitasker. I can wash dishes and
- 1:24:06Speaker 22: do laundry. I can roller skate while walking my dog.
- 1:24:10Speaker 22: I can even order lunch while doing my homework. But
- 1:24:12Speaker 22: I can't use my phone while driving. A distracted driver
- 1:24:16Speaker 22: is one of the leading causes of death in the
- 1:24:18Speaker 22: United States. So when it comes to driving, please, don't
- 1:24:21Speaker 22: be a multitasker.
- 1:24:23Speaker 9: Don't drive distracted.
- 1:24:24Speaker 8: A message brought to you by the National Highway Traffic
- 1:24:26Speaker 8: Safety Administration, Project Yellow Light, and the Ad Council. All right, son.
- 1:24:33Speaker 9: Time to put out this campfire.
- 1:24:34Speaker 4: Dad, we learned about this in school. Oh, did you now? Okay.
- 1:24:38Speaker 4: What's first?
- 1:24:39Speaker 9: Smokey Bear said to.
- 1:24:40Speaker 18: First, drown it with a bucket of water. then stir
- 1:24:43Speaker 18: it with a shovel.
- 1:24:44Speaker 9: Wow, you sound just like him.
- 1:24:46Speaker 18: Then he said, If it's still warm, then do it again.
- 1:24:50Speaker 7: Where can I learn all this?
- 1:24:51Speaker 18: It's all on SmokeyBear.com with other wildfire prevention tips. Because
- 1:24:56Speaker 18: only you can prevent wildfires.
- 1:24:59Speaker 9: Brought to you by the USDA Forest Service, your state forester,
- 1:25:01Speaker 9: and the Ad Council.
- 1:25:04Speaker 7: And now, back to the sports jar, Wayne Ganty.
- 1:25:10Speaker 27: You have been given full access to the Players Lounge
- 1:25:16Speaker 27: on the Sports Jack Show with Wayne Gandy.
- 1:25:43Speaker 4: Welcome back to the Sports Chalk Show. I'm the Sports
- 1:25:45Speaker 4: Chalk Wayne Gandy. UFC, MMA, and everything else. John Jones,
- 1:25:51Speaker 4: the great John Jones. Yes. Has admitted that he regrets
- 1:25:57Speaker 4: not participating in the fight that was held at the
- 1:26:02Speaker 4: White House. Is that the storyline, Big Kenny? Yes, when
- 1:26:05Speaker 4: they had the UFC White House, yes. This summer when
- 1:26:08Speaker 4: they had the celebration for the 250 and had the fight...
- 1:26:12Speaker 4: something that he was asked to be part of. Uh,
- 1:26:15Speaker 4: he says he regrets now, uh, which typically something like that.
- 1:26:19Speaker 4: When you ask me, big Kenny comes a little later. Uh,
- 1:26:23Speaker 4: but that means that he really wanted to do it
- 1:26:25Speaker 4: and probably was adhering to some more, some pressure not
- 1:26:31Speaker 4: to do it. If, if he admitted it that fast,
- 1:26:33Speaker 4: it's not like a 10 years and you reflect, right? Uh,
- 1:26:37Speaker 4: this is like, Three, four months, meaning that you wanted
- 1:26:41Speaker 4: to do it, and most likely you got some advice.
- 1:26:44Speaker 4: It just felt like societal pressure kept you from doing something. Well,
- 1:26:49Speaker 4: I can't say whether it was bad or not. It
- 1:26:52Speaker 4: just sounds like maybe it was against what he may
- 1:26:55Speaker 4: have wanted to actually do.
- 1:26:58Speaker 16: Well, I go back to what you always say. When
- 1:27:00Speaker 16: you win a championship and you're invited as a champion,
- 1:27:06Speaker 16: to uh to go to the white house it's not
- 1:27:08Speaker 16: about who's there it's about that you are as the
- 1:27:13Speaker 16: champion of that year in the united states of america
- 1:27:16Speaker 16: and this is something you could go back to down
- 1:27:18Speaker 16: to down hey i got to visit the white house
- 1:27:21Speaker 16: i was i was in there but now they've had
- 1:27:24Speaker 16: like you said the pressure of don't go when this
- 1:27:27Speaker 16: or don't go when this or and then you look
- 1:27:30Speaker 16: back Wow.
- 1:27:31Speaker 4: Well, here's something, too, I wanted, because the Valkyries and
- 1:27:36Speaker 4: the Dream, and I've already talked to you guys about
- 1:27:38Speaker 4: the Dream and how they handled the National Anthem. And
- 1:27:43Speaker 4: I know when I went to the Dream playoff game
- 1:27:45Speaker 4: against the Liberty, both teams were not on the court
- 1:27:51Speaker 4: in that first game against the Valkyries. Both teams left
- 1:27:56Speaker 4: the court for the National Anthem and then came right
- 1:27:59Speaker 4: back out. Fans noticed. And had an issue with it.
- 1:28:03Speaker 4: Both teams, or at least the Dream, admitted like, hey,
- 1:28:06Speaker 4: the song doesn't represent the freedom and liberty that it
- 1:28:11Speaker 4: says it does. But why hasn't the WNBA stepped in?
- 1:28:17Speaker 4: And the other thing, too, on that made me think.
- 1:28:23Speaker 4: Several of the Dream players were upset they were left
- 1:28:27Speaker 4: off the USA team. What's the difference between representing your
- 1:28:32Speaker 4: country and standing for the national anthem? It's two different things.
- 1:28:36Speaker 4: If Ryan Howard and... Whoa, whoa, whoa. whoa, whoa. He
- 1:28:39Speaker 4: said it's two different things. Tell us what they are.
- 1:28:42Speaker 4: The song. It's a song, man.
- 1:28:43Speaker 16: You sing the song, and it's talking the third verse.
- 1:28:47Speaker 16: They don't sing the third verse. It talks about killing
- 1:28:49Speaker 16: black people.
- 1:28:50Speaker 4: But I can go and play for my country, though,
- 1:28:52Speaker 4: and I'm representing, and I don't have to worry about
- 1:28:55Speaker 4: a song or anything.
- 1:28:57Speaker 16: But if you win the gold medal, you got to
- 1:28:58Speaker 16: stand there. with the gold medal and listen to the song.
- 1:29:02Speaker 16: So I don't get either.
- 1:29:03Speaker 5: The song, the song. representing the country. That is both
- 1:29:10Speaker 5: the land of the free and the home of the brave.
- 1:29:16Speaker 4: No, no.
- 1:29:17Speaker 5: I'm saying when you stand under the American flag, you
- 1:29:22Speaker 5: are acknowledging the sovereignty of the United States. When you
- 1:29:27Speaker 5: play for the United States, you are acknowledging the sovereignty
- 1:29:33Speaker 5: of the United States.
- 1:29:35Speaker 4: States ain't no Difference Craig It's the world you the
- 1:29:41Speaker 4: USA in front of the world So you mean you
- 1:29:44Speaker 4: gonna Play me when we out But when we get
- 1:29:48Speaker 4: home That's And you know why they do it Is
- 1:29:53Speaker 4: because there's a financial And a marketing Benefit to playing
- 1:29:58Speaker 4: for the United States you already got Your dream check
- 1:30:03Speaker 4: So if this don't add to my bottom line, I'm
- 1:30:07Speaker 4: going to do something that I think is culturally popular.
- 1:30:10Speaker 4: But when I can pad my stats and further my
- 1:30:15Speaker 4: career and my legacy, yeah, I'm all USA. And that's
- 1:30:21Speaker 4: fake and fraudulent. I just don't, yeah, I don't understand
- 1:30:24Speaker 4: because I do know between the three teams, the Valkyries,
- 1:30:28Speaker 4: the Liberty, I don't know what other, and the Dream,
- 1:30:30Speaker 4: what other teams do it, but those three teams leave
- 1:30:32Speaker 4: the court. And then the scrutiny that they say when
- 1:30:37Speaker 4: they're not invited for the USA team. And then they
- 1:30:40Speaker 4: will go. Angel Reese won a gold over this year,
- 1:30:44Speaker 4: whatever they gave him for that international game. Ryan Howe
- 1:30:47Speaker 4: was on that team as well. Several other dream players
- 1:30:51Speaker 4: wanted to be on the team. Breonna Stewart went over
- 1:30:54Speaker 4: there and she has won more gold medals with the
- 1:30:56Speaker 4: USA jersey on. So to me, this offseason, whenever they
- 1:31:01Speaker 4: get a new president, because I do know the NFL
- 1:31:06Speaker 4: says that the team has to be on the field.
- 1:31:10Speaker 4: The NBA, the players have to be on the court.
- 1:31:14Speaker 4: I don't know what, because if you're not going to
- 1:31:16Speaker 4: be out there, why are we doing the songs? Why
- 1:31:20Speaker 4: is W.A. doing the song? Why are we doing introductions?
- 1:31:23Speaker 4: I mean, let's just go ahead and roll the ball
- 1:31:25Speaker 4: on the court. Excuse me? I mean, you shouldn't even
- 1:31:27Speaker 4: do introductions. Let's just roll the ball on the court.
- 1:31:29Speaker 4: What does the introduction have to do standing for the song?
- 1:31:31Speaker 4: But I'm saying that's all a part of the pregame routine.
- 1:31:34Speaker 16: Like you're saying we shouldn't even do if we're not
- 1:31:36Speaker 16: going to, they're not going to be out there for
- 1:31:38Speaker 16: the song. I'm just saying shouldn't even be out there
- 1:31:40Speaker 16: for any of it. Let's just play ball. That's all
- 1:31:42Speaker 16: I'm saying.
- 1:31:43Speaker 4: I still don't get that. That's not actually, you didn't
- 1:31:45Speaker 4: give me an answer. You just regurgitated what I said.
- 1:31:48Speaker 4: You didn't tell me what. the difference is between introduction
- 1:31:52Speaker 4: and standing for the flag.
- 1:31:55Speaker 16: I'm saying that's all a part of the pregame, the
- 1:31:58Speaker 16: national anthem, then the introduction of the players, all that hype.
- 1:32:02Speaker 4: I'm saying they're out there for that.
- 1:32:04Speaker 16: They're out there for the introduction, high five, see me,
- 1:32:07Speaker 16: but they're not out there for the national anthem.
- 1:32:09Speaker 4: Well, wouldn't it just be easier for them to mandate
- 1:32:12Speaker 4: that the teams have to be out there? And this
- 1:32:17Speaker 4: is the thing. That's the thing. I don't know if
- 1:32:19Speaker 4: that's the... That's what the NBA does.
- 1:32:24Speaker 25: It may not be the case here, so that's why
- 1:32:26Speaker 25: they take the option to not be on the court.
- 1:32:29Speaker 5: And what would happen if, and it's not a far
- 1:32:33Speaker 5: stretch because we see what has happened since Trump has
- 1:32:37Speaker 5: been in the White House.
- 1:32:38Speaker 4: What if the government made it.
- 1:32:43Speaker 5: A crime punishable by a fine or a penalty, or
- 1:32:46Speaker 5: some sort of tax lien for you to be a
- 1:32:49Speaker 5: public personality in a professional league. And because it's mandated
- 1:32:56Speaker 5: that the national anthem is played before all professional players,
- 1:33:00Speaker 5: sporting events.
- 1:33:00Speaker 4: You don't come out or you don't stand. It is mandated.
- 1:33:05Speaker 4: How many professional events do you know? How many sporting events, period,
- 1:33:09Speaker 4: do you know? Don't start. Stop.
- 1:33:10Speaker 12: Stop.
- 1:33:10Speaker 4: Why would you run into idiots? They already do it.
- 1:33:19Speaker 4: But they had to put it in right. Sir, the
- 1:33:21Speaker 4: national anthem is played before you can start taking money
- 1:33:24Speaker 4: or start doing anything. I'm not going to do the
- 1:33:25Speaker 4: crosstalk with you. I just.
- 1:33:27Speaker 5: How many events do you know don't start with the
- 1:33:30Speaker 5: national anthem?
- 1:33:31Speaker 4: I'm not saying that they don't start. They all start. Stop.
- 1:33:34Speaker 4: They all start. That's the full sentence. They all start, period.
- 1:33:38Speaker 4: But is it written anywhere? Like they just said, it's
- 1:33:42Speaker 4: mandated by the NBA. All I'm saying, if it's not
- 1:33:45Speaker 4: in the Constitution of Bylaws, you can't start fining them
- 1:33:49Speaker 4: or saying this is what we're going to do.
- 1:33:51Speaker 5: I'm asking how far before it gets inserted. If you're going,
- 1:33:56Speaker 5: the NBA done done it. We done mandated it. The
- 1:33:59Speaker 5: NFL has done it.
- 1:33:59Speaker 4: There is a rule, but. it appears to be open
- 1:34:02Speaker 4: to interpretation. Yeah. But the NBA is not for the NBA.
- 1:34:11Speaker 4: They will find. They've drawn their line. In the WNBA,
- 1:34:15Speaker 4: it seems to be open to interpretation. And that's all
- 1:34:18Speaker 4: I'm saying. Other leagues have drawn a line.
- 1:34:20Speaker 25: In a dignified posture along the sidelines or on the
- 1:34:23Speaker 25: foul line during the national anthem. So it could apply to.
- 1:34:28Speaker 25: if players and coaches are already out there when the
- 1:34:32Speaker 25: song starts to play. Because those teams have been going
- 1:34:37Speaker 25: back to the locker room or in the hallway or
- 1:34:40Speaker 25: whatever before the song starts to play, so they don't
- 1:34:44Speaker 25: have to exactly be out there. So it's like, well,
- 1:34:49Speaker 25: we weren't out there when the song started playing, so
- 1:34:51Speaker 25: we don't have to go back out there right now.
- 1:34:53Speaker 4: But they were out there and then left the court.
- 1:34:56Speaker 4: And Uncle Charlie has to get the WNBA. I mean,
- 1:34:59Speaker 4: we like to subject it, but they actually are actually
- 1:35:03Speaker 4: leaving the court to miss the song. Because they let
- 1:35:07Speaker 4: them know it's that time. They're not actually even going
- 1:35:09Speaker 4: back to the locker room. They're just going far enough
- 1:35:12Speaker 4: back that you don't see them doing the song.
- 1:35:15Speaker 25: So that's how it's like, if they were already out there,
- 1:35:21Speaker 25: you got to stay out there. But if they're going back,
- 1:35:25Speaker 25: Before it starts, that's the loophole that no one's been
- 1:35:34Speaker 25: fined or anything like that.
- 1:35:36Speaker 5: Uncle Charlie asks, didn't the WNBA give a statement regarding
- 1:35:39Speaker 5: the incident?
- 1:35:42Speaker 4: During the break, we'll look it up. I do know
- 1:35:44Speaker 4: some fans out in California had an issue that both
- 1:35:46Speaker 4: teams were not on the court during the national anthem.
- 1:35:49Speaker 4: And to me, either we're going to all, whatever team,
- 1:35:52Speaker 4: what is it, 17 teams, 18 teams, Either it's the
- 1:35:55Speaker 4: rule that we're going to be, but I don't know
- 1:35:57Speaker 4: why you're doing it. And the people that I actually
- 1:36:00Speaker 4: came to see aren't part of the national anthem. Allen Iverson,
- 1:36:08Speaker 4: we talk about John Jones admitting about missing out on
- 1:36:12Speaker 4: the UFC fight at the White House. Allen Iverson says
- 1:36:15Speaker 4: that he committed professional suicide. It means his ego cost
- 1:36:20Speaker 4: him the final years of his NBA career. We talked
- 1:36:25Speaker 4: about this when he did this move about 10 years
- 1:36:29Speaker 4: ago when he went to Memphis and Denver and didn't
- 1:36:32Speaker 4: want to come off the bench and basically retired. We'll
- 1:36:36Speaker 4: talk about that when we come back from the other
- 1:36:37Speaker 4: side of the break. Don't go away.
- 1:36:52Speaker 6: More of the Sports Jock Show with Wayne Gamby is
- 1:36:55Speaker 6: coming up next.
- 1:36:58Speaker 28: Everyone needs to take care of their mental health, even
- 1:37:00Speaker 28: running back Bijan Robinson.
- 1:37:02Speaker 4: When I'm on the field and feeling the pressure, I
- 1:37:04Speaker 4: usually just take a deep breath.
- 1:37:06Speaker 13: When I'm just breathing and seeing what's in front of me,
- 1:37:08Speaker 13: everything just slows down.
- 1:37:10Speaker 4: It just makes me feel great before I run the play.
- 1:37:12Speaker 28: Just like Bijan, we all need a strong mental game
- 1:37:15Speaker 28: on and off the field. Make a game plan for
- 1:37:18Speaker 28: your mental health at georgia.loveyourmindtoday.org.
- 1:37:20Speaker 12: Love.
- 1:37:21Speaker 4: You're mine.
- 1:37:22Speaker 28: Brought to you by the Huntsman Mental Health Foundation, the
- 1:37:24Speaker 28: Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation, and the Ad Council.
- 1:37:28Speaker 8: We've all been there, waiting for hours at your local
- 1:37:31Speaker 8: repair or service department. Many of us value our time.
- 1:37:34Speaker 8: And in today's busy world with work and family, the
- 1:37:37Speaker 8: last thing you want to do is spend your valuable
- 1:37:39Speaker 8: time waiting for your car.
- 1:37:40Speaker 2: Well, My Car Butler is your service.
- 1:37:43Speaker 8: My Car Butler will take the headache out of waiting
- 1:37:45Speaker 8: an hour to have your service department tell you that

- 1:38:35Speaker 7: And now, back to the sports jar, Wayne Gandy.
- 1:38:48Speaker 4: It's Weekend Day.
- 1:38:49Speaker 8: It's Weekend Day.
- 1:38:57Speaker 24: Oh, log on so you can see the sports J-O-C,
- 1:39:02Speaker 24: even Big K.
- 1:39:06Speaker 4: Welcome back to the Sports Shock Show. I'm the Sports
- 1:39:09Speaker 4: Shock Wayne Gandy. Good morning to you out there in
- 1:39:14Speaker 4: listening land. NBA, we talked about Allen Iverson real quick, guys.
- 1:39:18Speaker 4: Are you surprised or really kind of like happy that
- 1:39:25Speaker 4: AI would admit this help to maybe help future people
- 1:39:29Speaker 4: down the road? I'm glad that he admitted it because
- 1:39:32Speaker 4: I'm an AI fan. I know.
- 1:39:37Speaker 16: My dad was a big AI fan, and all the talent,
- 1:39:42Speaker 16: we talked about it for years. And I remember us
- 1:39:45Speaker 16: when he went that first time, went out there with Carmelo,
- 1:39:50Speaker 16: and we talked about it, and then he started not
- 1:39:53Speaker 16: showing up. And that was the thing that we continued
- 1:39:55Speaker 16: to say, is AI going to realize that he can
- 1:39:59Speaker 16: win a championship or come off the bench? And like
- 1:40:02Speaker 16: you said, but I'm glad that he's admitting it. for
- 1:40:05Speaker 16: a lot of these younger players?
- 1:40:08Speaker 5: I think a lot of people probably feel validated in
- 1:40:11Speaker 5: their having felt that way.
- 1:40:13Speaker 4: Like many people's sensibilities were offended.
- 1:40:16Speaker 5: Like AI, surely as somebody who's living the life, you
- 1:40:20Speaker 5: can see that this isn't the best thing. This is
- 1:40:24Speaker 5: counterproductive to what you ought to be doing right now.
- 1:40:27Speaker 5: And it even further offended them that he continued down
- 1:40:32Speaker 5: that road like none of it mattered. And now to
- 1:40:35Speaker 5: show the maturity and self-awareness to come back and go, look, bro, it.
- 1:40:39Speaker 4: Was all ego.
- 1:40:41Speaker 5: It, you know, it didn't have nothing to do with,
- 1:40:43Speaker 5: I was in a bad mental space or I was
- 1:40:45Speaker 5: dealing with family problems. It was just, I felt like
- 1:40:48Speaker 5: I was the man and deserved better than that.
- 1:40:53Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:40:53Speaker 4: I agree.
- 1:40:54Speaker 25: Like, I think we've seen a lot of players recently,
- 1:40:59Speaker 25: like have a less than gracious ending to their career. Um,
- 1:41:04Speaker 25: to where it's not that, you know, not everybody gets
- 1:41:07Speaker 25: the retirement tour. They just, they're just gone. And it's,
- 1:41:12Speaker 25: it could be like, they didn't want to come off
- 1:41:14Speaker 25: the bench. They didn't like the role that they were
- 1:41:15Speaker 25: going to have. And they don't have that gracious ending.
- 1:41:22Speaker 25: Not that it has to be a championship, but just
- 1:41:24Speaker 25: that they get to play out that last year and
- 1:41:27Speaker 25: seeing it with Carmelo Anthony and Chris Paul and Dwight Howard,
- 1:41:31Speaker 25: it could be that, their ego or, or whatever that
- 1:41:35Speaker 25: they wanted to play at least, or be a starter.
- 1:41:39Speaker 25: And that was the same thing with Iverson. He didn't
- 1:41:40Speaker 25: want to come off the bench, but we've seen you
- 1:41:44Speaker 25: play and you, you're beat up. You're not the player
- 1:41:47Speaker 25: that you were, but you can still contribute. And this
- 1:41:51Speaker 25: is how you can contribute. So not, so believing that,
- 1:41:56Speaker 25: you know, he could still get you 28.
- 1:41:58Speaker 4: And I think this is some of what, what, when
- 1:42:00Speaker 4: you look at the LeBron James, LeBron James benefits just
- 1:42:06Speaker 4: from versatility. It's not that he hasn't slowed. It's just
- 1:42:09Speaker 4: that he can kind of do three or four different things.
- 1:42:15Speaker 4: He can play all five positions, really. Right, with different.
- 1:42:17Speaker 4: So I can just kind of, okay, I got Maxie
- 1:42:21Speaker 4: and Brown. With measurable results.
- 1:42:23Speaker 5: Like he can do it and actually produce results at
- 1:42:26Speaker 5: those positions.
- 1:42:27Speaker 4: Whereas Chris Paul, AI, Carmelo, you were really just this.
- 1:42:34Speaker 4: I can't, Carmelo is not about to turn into some
- 1:42:36Speaker 4: defensive shot blocker or rebounder. That kind of thing. I mean, no.
- 1:42:44Speaker 5: I was thinking like maybe if you, but no.
- 1:42:48Speaker 4: You could ask Carmelo that in his third year, but
- 1:42:51Speaker 4: not in year 15. Right, yeah. He was kind of
- 1:42:54Speaker 4: set into what he was going to do. Netflix is
- 1:42:58Speaker 4: producing a documentary about Dajon Love, the 49ers imposter. Funny
- 1:43:03Speaker 4: just how we kind of just take issues from the news,
- 1:43:08Speaker 4: make something for Netflix. I guess hopefully it may be
- 1:43:13Speaker 4: something where they researched and talk about and not try
- 1:43:15Speaker 4: to make light of it. But that is in the works.
- 1:43:20Speaker 4: Dajon Love, imposter, stole of what? 1.3 million or something
- 1:43:25Speaker 4: from set up a fake scheme where he was getting
- 1:43:29Speaker 4: ladies to invest. So it was not like asking for
- 1:43:33Speaker 4: money from what we read. It wasn't directly asking for
- 1:43:37Speaker 4: money as much as he put up a phony investment
- 1:43:41Speaker 4: plan with another young man that's like 19, 20 years
- 1:43:45Speaker 4: old that played like he was the investor. Yeah, man.
- 1:43:50Speaker 5: And when they talk about the Dijon Love story, they
- 1:43:53Speaker 5: always talk about it as a romance investment scam. Why
- 1:43:58Speaker 5: do you think they bring the romance part of it?
- 1:44:00Speaker 5: I mean, because once you've stolen $ 1.
- 1:44:03Speaker 4: 3 million, we've moved past all this other stuff. We
- 1:44:07Speaker 4: moved past the girlfriend just talking stage. It was real
- 1:44:12Speaker 4: at some point.
- 1:44:13Speaker 5: Well, I'm saying, so why is that even, why is
- 1:44:16Speaker 5: that even a consideration? That is the salacious part of
- 1:44:20Speaker 5: it that people try and get involved in. That is the,
- 1:44:23Speaker 5: you throw the NFL part in it because that's a
- 1:44:25Speaker 5: salacious detail at the end of the day. This man
- 1:44:29Speaker 5: was a scam artist who scammed people the same way
- 1:44:33Speaker 5: Bernie Madoff did. Maybe Bernie Madoff had personal relationships with people.
- 1:44:38Speaker 5: But he had the paperwork straight and made it look like,
- 1:44:41Speaker 5: made it look legit. I'm saying the way they promote
- 1:44:45Speaker 5: these stories. the way they report on it they need
- 1:44:48Speaker 5: you to know that somehow these women had some sort
- 1:44:51Speaker 5: of romantic attachment to this man okay which is what
- 1:44:54Speaker 5: got them robbed is what they're asserting but maybe they
- 1:44:57Speaker 5: were just skilled con men.
- 1:45:01Speaker 4: And he set up of everything was in order that's
- 1:45:04Speaker 4: what i'm saying they had they hustled together they had
- 1:45:07Speaker 4: he had the guy call him and From what the
- 1:45:10Speaker 4: story is saying, he would just have conversations about investments
- 1:45:14Speaker 4: around the ladies, and they would be intrigued to a
- 1:45:19Speaker 4: sense of, hey, what are y'all doing? Oh, okay, yeah,
- 1:45:23Speaker 4: we're going to do this. And then they would give
- 1:45:25Speaker 4: the money. So he was running a true hustle. Big
- 1:45:28Speaker 4: Kenny Comanche Gregg, I think, asked me as well about
- 1:45:31Speaker 4: how Notre Dame is higher ranked than Georgia. That was
- 1:45:36Speaker 4: a bad producer. Well, the opponent... I think is what
- 1:45:41Speaker 4: it is. BYU beat Notre Dame. BYU was eight. Notre
- 1:45:49Speaker 4: Dame was two.
- 1:45:50Speaker 7: Auburn was unranked.
- 1:45:51Speaker 4: So losing to an unranked opponent at home is a
- 1:45:56Speaker 4: worse loss. That's over with. What does it have to
- 1:46:00Speaker 4: do with that BYU is number eight? That's over with.
- 1:46:05Speaker 4: If eight beat two and one lose to nobody... That
- 1:46:11Speaker 4: means both of them lost. Your loss is more quality loss.
- 1:46:15Speaker 16: I hate the polls. I don't know how you hate that. But,
- 1:46:19Speaker 16: I mean, always figure a way to keep them up there.
- 1:46:25Speaker 4: I lost for years. Hold on, Babbage. Before we go
- 1:46:28Speaker 4: to break, and I got to go to break because
- 1:46:29Speaker 4: you fascinate me sometimes about how you're so entrenched. So
- 1:46:34Speaker 4: you're saying that if– a top 10 team or a
- 1:46:40Speaker 4: top 10 opponent beat you and a team that is
- 1:46:47Speaker 4: a 20-point underdog, Auburn was, beat Georgia, that Notre Dame
- 1:46:57Speaker 4: loss is equal to Georgia's loss? I mean, it doesn't
- 1:47:05Speaker 4: equate to Notre Dame jumping Georgia. Not to me. I mean,
- 1:47:09Speaker 4: I don't. So they should have just fell together. Fell together.
- 1:47:12Speaker 4: So a loss is a loss. A loss is a loss. Now,
- 1:47:14Speaker 4: how do you do that? And you say you gamble
- 1:47:16Speaker 4: because a loss is not a loss. Notre Dame was
- 1:47:20Speaker 4: favored by. What does it mean to fall together? Where
- 1:47:24Speaker 4: is Georgia now?
- 1:47:25Speaker 23: Five?
- 1:47:26Speaker 20: Yeah.
- 1:47:27Speaker 4: One to five. Okay.
- 1:47:28Speaker 12: Okay.
- 1:47:29Speaker 4: But Notre Dame fell from two to four. I don't
- 1:47:31Speaker 4: get that. They lost to a top ten team. Yeah.
- 1:47:35Speaker 4: And Georgia lost too. That's why polls, the polls. Do
- 1:47:38Speaker 4: you know it?
- 1:47:38Speaker 16: The polls are not. That's why I say we've always,
- 1:47:41Speaker 16: the polls are subjective. So I'm going to let that.
- 1:47:46Speaker 16: You should loosen your bra strap. Because you sound like
- 1:47:50Speaker 16: a girl.
- 1:47:51Speaker 5: You sound like an emotional old woman right now.
- 1:47:57Speaker 4: Yeah, you're not actually making no sense.
- 1:47:59Speaker 5: You don't even want to listen to what people are
- 1:48:02Speaker 5: trying to tell you.
- 1:48:04Speaker 4: You've made your mind up. That's what I'm saying. There's
- 1:48:06Speaker 4: no debate when your mind is made up. It's just
- 1:48:09Speaker 4: Notre Dame. No, it's not just Notre Dame. Notre Dame
- 1:48:14Speaker 4: lost by four points to a team they was only
- 1:48:17Speaker 4: favored to beat by three. Georgia lost to a team
- 1:48:23Speaker 4: that they were favored to beat by 20. You actually
- 1:48:29Speaker 4: lost the game because the spread was so disrespectful that
- 1:48:33Speaker 4: we beat you. If you want to know how it
- 1:48:37Speaker 4: works in the locker room, y'all are not 20 points
- 1:48:41Speaker 4: better than us. Y'all are capable of beating us. But
- 1:48:43Speaker 4: that's what I'm saying. But trust me, the head coach
- 1:48:45Speaker 4: of Auburn sold that they're saying that y'all are three
- 1:48:49Speaker 4: touchdowns worse than them. That's not going to fly today.
- 1:48:53Speaker 4: That shouldn't have. But it doesn't matter, but you don't
- 1:48:57Speaker 4: make any sense on a show that's about making sense.
- 1:49:00Speaker 5: Uncle Charlie said, you can't win the conversation, bad producer.
- 1:49:03Speaker 5: Just saying, and Nicky Kemp said, bad producer.
- 1:49:06Speaker 4: Let's just go to break. We'll be back. More of
- 1:49:08Speaker 4: the Sports Talk Show. Hey, niggas, can't you see the
- 1:49:13Speaker 4: fish that I dropped?
- 1:49:14Speaker 7: Cause you know it don't stop.
- 1:49:15Speaker 1: Mr.
- 1:49:15Speaker 3: 187 on the mother, make a pop, tick-tock.
- 1:49:17Speaker 12: Not with a Glock, just some nuts and a cock.
- 1:49:21Speaker 4: Don't go away.

- 1:50:32Speaker 4: And now, back to the sports jar, Wayne Gandy.
- 1:50:35Speaker 27: Now, it's time for the scoreboard, where we put a
- 1:50:41Speaker 27: spin on life and sports and how they intermingle on
- 1:50:46Speaker 27: the Sports Jock Show with Wayne Gandy.
- 1:50:51Speaker 4: Steel Snoop Dogg and D.I. D.I.
- 1:50:54Speaker 1: D.I.
- 1:51:00Speaker 4: Guess who's back?
- 1:51:03Speaker 7: State.
- 1:51:04Speaker 4: Welcome back to the Sports Shock Show. I'm the Sports Shock,
- 1:51:06Speaker 4: Wayne King. For you out there that's listening, just so
- 1:51:09Speaker 4: you know, if your team lose to an unranked team,
- 1:51:14Speaker 4: I'm surprised Georgia only dropped that many spots. You could
- 1:51:20Speaker 4: have dropped down to eight if it was under me.
- 1:51:24Speaker 4: It's like if I'm a boxer... And when Mike Tyson
- 1:51:29Speaker 4: lost to Buster Douglas, it's like that. Those are the odds.
- 1:51:39Speaker 4: If you had taken Buster Douglas, you'd have made a
- 1:51:41Speaker 4: lot of money. It's different than if the number two
- 1:51:45Speaker 4: ranked boxer fighting the number four ranked boxer. There is
- 1:51:50Speaker 4: no surprise if number four beat number two. But there
- 1:51:55Speaker 4: is a surprise. when number 40 beat number one. That
- 1:52:01Speaker 4: is just how it goes in a lot of the rankings.
- 1:52:04Speaker 4: I don't care what the coaches polled, bad producer. This
- 1:52:08Speaker 4: is not one of those shows where you're going to
- 1:52:09Speaker 4: get to convince me where your logic is true. And
- 1:52:13Speaker 4: I'm not even saying this because Auburn beat Georgia. I'm
- 1:52:15Speaker 4: saying this as fairness. An unranked team beat you.
- 1:52:23Speaker 22: Unranked.
- 1:52:24Speaker 4: If Auburn was number five and beat you, I wouldn't
- 1:52:27Speaker 4: even be saying nothing. Because five shouldn't be able to
- 1:52:31Speaker 4: beat one. But you're sitting here trying to make it
- 1:52:36Speaker 4: seem like losses are not losses. Well, I'm just looking
- 1:52:39Speaker 4: at the polls.
- 1:52:40Speaker 16: I'm just looking at the polls, sir. Well, the polls
- 1:52:43Speaker 16: are just people. Yeah, and that's what I'm saying. AP
- 1:52:46Speaker 16: is basically writers, and then you look at the coaches.
- 1:52:48Speaker 16: The coaches feel like.
- 1:52:49Speaker 4: You just have a hardship against, and you let your
- 1:52:52Speaker 4: emotions cloud. This is just some old hate towards Notre Dames.
- 1:52:59Speaker 4: So whatever you have left in your closet for something
- 1:53:02Speaker 4: that happened against Notre Dame and how you feel about
- 1:53:04Speaker 4: their branded, then that's on you. But I don't get
- 1:53:09Speaker 4: caught up in the cloud of emotion when I'm telling
- 1:53:12Speaker 4: you that eight beating two is different than 40 beating one.
- 1:53:20Speaker 4: Way different. You can't get nobody. Nobody can see what
- 1:53:24Speaker 4: you're saying, but you. Apparently the coaches do. The coaches fall.
- 1:53:30Speaker 4: Because they dropped Notre Dame to eight and left Georgia
- 1:53:32Speaker 4: at four.
- 1:53:33Speaker 5: If anything, I would be questioning why Georgia didn't fall further.
- 1:53:39Speaker 5: That's the thing that I'm wondering about. Talk about favoritism.
- 1:53:44Speaker 4: And one to five in these two polls after losing
- 1:53:49Speaker 4: to an unranked team. Delonte West fighting Michael Beasley this
- 1:53:52Speaker 4: weekend in one of those celebrity fights. I'm surprised you
- 1:53:57Speaker 4: were able to get that sanction for two reasons. The
- 1:54:00Speaker 4: size difference. Michael Beasley goes about 6'8. 240. Yeah, about 240.
- 1:54:06Speaker 4: De'Ante West even. 6'3.
- 1:54:10Speaker 11: Maybe.
- 1:54:11Speaker 4: You pushing it. I was going maybe 6'1-ish. Yeah, he
- 1:54:15Speaker 4: was playing with Jermaine Nelson. About 180, 185. 6'1, 165.
- 1:54:24Speaker 4: And then with the long list of issues that De'Ante
- 1:54:28Speaker 4: West has. It's truly documented. For me. Not questionable. This
- 1:54:34Speaker 4: ain't questionable. So you tell me about human compassion.
- 1:54:37Speaker 5: You tell me about the willingness to help your brother
- 1:54:41Speaker 5: move forward when you know this man is vulnerable and
- 1:54:46Speaker 5: you will cash in on that vulnerability by watching him
- 1:54:52Speaker 5: get pummeled by another man.
- 1:54:54Speaker 4: I already got mental issues. You want me to get
- 1:54:56Speaker 4: punched in the face a whole bunch of times by
- 1:54:58Speaker 4: a giant? Yeah, I can't see how that got sanctioned.
- 1:55:02Speaker 4: A man that is truly on that most of his
- 1:55:05Speaker 4: problems post-career and why his career ended after six, seven
- 1:55:10Speaker 4: years in the league ended because of his documented being bipolar.
- 1:55:17Speaker 4: That he could get in the ring and then he
- 1:55:20Speaker 4: got knocked out in like the first round and that's
- 1:55:22Speaker 4: what I'm saying. He was giving up about five, six,
- 1:55:25Speaker 4: seven inches of height and about 40, 50 pounds easy.
- 1:55:30Speaker 4: And has had a, I don't know how they even
- 1:55:33Speaker 4: got that. I don't even know why you went to
- 1:55:36Speaker 4: him for that. If that was the case, you should
- 1:55:39Speaker 4: have just gave him the five grand. Michael Beasley or whatever.
- 1:55:44Speaker 4: If it just, oh man, I needed some money. Help
- 1:55:47Speaker 4: him secure some kind of loan or something else. Put
- 1:55:50Speaker 4: your cash in on it. But I don't need to
- 1:55:52Speaker 4: rattle his brain anymore than already has been rung. What
- 1:55:59Speaker 4: else has been? Ben Simmons. I didn't even know he
- 1:56:01Speaker 4: was still in the league. I thought he was over
- 1:56:03Speaker 4: in China somewhere, but he did hurt his leg. Looks
- 1:56:06Speaker 4: like he's with the Sacramento Kings. Looks like he might
- 1:56:10Speaker 4: have torn the Achilles and will miss this season. The
- 1:56:16Speaker 4: Bourbon Street Hustler, Danette Colbert. Remember at the Super Bowl,
- 1:56:21Speaker 4: she lured the man in. She has been sentenced to life.
- 1:56:26Speaker 22: Wow.
- 1:56:26Speaker 4: Plus 75 years. Wow. For that case where she lured
- 1:56:34Speaker 4: the young reporter. I think he was late 20s. From Houston,
- 1:56:39Speaker 4: was it? The Texas area?
- 1:56:40Speaker 23: Yeah.
- 1:56:41Speaker 4: According to the hotel room. The college football playoff has decided. Now,
- 1:56:46Speaker 4: they decided this. I didn't really wait that they were
- 1:56:49Speaker 4: going to move to 24 teams. This was their decision.
- 1:56:54Speaker 4: Somebody out there decided, now, the 2014 will cut out
- 1:56:57Speaker 4: the conference championships. I knew that was coming. And that's
- 1:57:01Speaker 4: part of why I said, might as well just call
- 1:57:04Speaker 4: it pro ball because if you're going to have a playoff,
- 1:57:07Speaker 4: you can't have championship games. You can't have teams playing
- 1:57:11Speaker 4: more games than others. You can't have three-week breaks. There
- 1:57:16Speaker 4: is no league that ends their season and then pick
- 1:57:19Speaker 4: up the playoffs three weeks later. That's not how it
- 1:57:22Speaker 4: actually really works. So they have just decided to go
- 1:57:25Speaker 4: to a 24, basically the top 25. They just went even.
- 1:57:30Speaker 4: That's all it really is when you think about it.
- 1:57:33Speaker 4: They were saying the top 25 and that will be
- 1:57:36Speaker 4: the playoffs. It will start right at the end of
- 1:57:39Speaker 4: the season. So next year, most likely you won't hear
- 1:57:44Speaker 4: That makes this the last SEC championship game. ACC championship game.
- 1:57:49Speaker 4: Because this is supposed to start next year, right?
- 1:57:51Speaker 1: Yes.
- 1:57:51Speaker 4: Okay, so this would be with this move. Well, Nick
- 1:57:55Speaker 4: Saban has spoke out. You see where he spoke out.
- 1:57:57Speaker 4: He said there ain't even 24 teams. There ain't even
- 1:58:00Speaker 4: 10 teams that could win. So he don't know why
- 1:58:03Speaker 4: they're expanding. He's not understanding. Must be the money that's
- 1:58:08Speaker 4: turning you on. I'm saying now. Must be the money.
- 1:58:11Speaker 5: Now, who do you think is going to get upset first?
- 1:58:14Speaker 5: Who do you think is going to get upset first,
- 1:58:16Speaker 5: the fan base or the people who used to sponsor
- 1:58:20Speaker 5: those championship games? You've eliminated my big payday. My Cotton Bowl,
- 1:58:27Speaker 5: my Orange Bowl, my SEC champion, the Peach Bowl, the Chick-fil-A.
- 1:58:33Speaker 4: All of that. I just named the branding to something else.
- 1:58:36Speaker 4: I'll still name the big games the Chick-fil-A semifinal or
- 1:58:40Speaker 4: the Tostito. Chick-fil-A going to have something at the Mercedes-Benz.
- 1:58:44Speaker 4: It's going to be some playoff game. Remember when this
- 1:58:47Speaker 4: used to be a playoff classic. Tradition has all gone
- 1:58:52Speaker 4: out the window. And happy 23rd birthday to Jordan and Harmony,
- 1:58:58Speaker 4: Big Kenny's other family.
- 1:59:01Speaker 18: Yes.
- 1:59:01Speaker 4: I've been telling you Big Kenny and Comanche Greg got
- 1:59:05Speaker 4: a couple of side families. They're not side family. We
- 1:59:11Speaker 4: all on the same row. But they're twins. They're 23
- 1:59:16Speaker 4: years old. They've left them in different states. We'll be
- 1:59:19Speaker 4: doing a documentary about them on Netflix in 2028. Call
- 1:59:23Speaker 4: all together now. But Jordan and Harmony, 23 years old.
- 1:59:28Speaker 4: Happy birthday to you. And we are an ocean. The
- 1:59:34Speaker 4: truth is, he will throw your a * * in
- 1:59:37Speaker 4: the ocean. It's time to wrap things up on the
- 1:59:40Speaker 4: Sports Jack Show with Wayne Gale. When you're the sound
- 1:59:57Speaker 4: of the ocean that gives us more, stop just a
- 1:59:59Speaker 4: minute to vent. We'd like to thank you for tuning

- 2:00:15Speaker 4: replay of the show. Going to notion today, all the
- 2:00:21Speaker 4: way down in Albany, Georgia. 41-year-old Aaron Menifee, the church deacon,
- 2:00:32Speaker 4: decided to put his foot down. Said he had enough
- 2:00:35Speaker 4: of these bad kids. While driving the school bus and
- 2:00:40Speaker 4: taking the kids back, kids just wouldn't listen. You know,
- 2:00:44Speaker 4: some of the Kenny cousins, they were in town, they
- 2:00:46Speaker 4: just won't listen. And deacon Menifee had just had enough.
- 2:00:53Speaker 4: About four or five miles away from the destination, he
- 2:00:57Speaker 4: pulled the bus over. Told him to get out. Wait now.
- 2:01:01Speaker 4: Wait now. Hold on. He ain't whoop him. You can't
- 2:01:06Speaker 4: put the kids out on the side of the highway, though, D.
- 2:01:09Speaker 4: I thought he was going to whoop him. He ain't
- 2:01:11Speaker 4: whoop him. He put them off. He put them off.
- 2:01:13Speaker 4: You can't just leave them. That's criminal. You can't abandon
- 2:01:18Speaker 4: children off a bus. Kids around 11, 12 years old,
- 2:01:22Speaker 4: he put them off the bus. The parents kept wondering
- 2:01:26Speaker 4: where the kid was at. They can't find him. Took
- 2:01:29Speaker 4: him a little while. Did he continue his route? Yeah,
- 2:01:32Speaker 4: he went on and finished where he was going, just
- 2:01:34Speaker 4: left the kid. About four or five miles. That's only
- 2:01:36Speaker 4: four or five miles, though, Big Kitty. It was a
- 2:01:39Speaker 4: church trip. Jesus walked. Yeah, yeah. That's how Jesus traveled.
- 2:01:43Speaker 4: He was charged with reckless conduct. So he did get charged.
- 2:01:48Speaker 4: But Deacon Sage just had enough. They wouldn't listen. We
- 2:01:53Speaker 4: all feel you. We all feel you, Deacon. I feel you,
- 2:01:56Speaker 4: but you just can't pull the call. The Deacon board
- 2:01:59Speaker 4: is on fire. I'm threatened to do it. And for that,
- 2:02:02Speaker 4: Deacon Menifee.
- 2:02:04Speaker 2: Walk the plank.
- 2:02:07Speaker 4: He tried praying, though. Prayer didn't work. They didn't want
- 2:02:10Speaker 4: to listen. Deep say, y'all going to learn today. From
- 2:02:18Speaker 4: the Sports Talk Show, we hope you have a good afternoon. Remember,
- 2:02:21Speaker 4: a lot of sports to watch tonight. WNBA at 8,
- 2:02:25Speaker 4: MLB at 8, and Monday Night Football at 8. Hope
- 2:02:29Speaker 4: you have a good week. Peace.
