- 3:06Speaker 1: twenty six. We've got three nine one one calls for
- 3:11Speaker 1: you today, so let's get started. In twenty seventeen, Chastity Carrie,
- 3:20Speaker 1: a bailbonds woman in Oklahoma, called her client, Brandon Williams,
- 3:24Speaker 1: into her office for a meeting. Her mild mannered nineteen
- 3:28Speaker 1: year old son, Justin Henderson, was in the office as well. Brandon,
- 3:34Speaker 1: who had a thirty five thousand dollars bond, was planning
- 3:37Speaker 1: to go to Florida to attend his mother's funeral. Chastity
- 3:42Speaker 1: believed he was trying to skip bail, and she planned
- 3:46Speaker 1: to revoke his bond. Tragically, the meeting quickly took a
- 3:51Speaker 1: disastrous turn.
- 3:56Speaker 2: I've a start a man on top of the town Center.
- 4:00Speaker 2: I'm on the third floor.
- 4:02Speaker 3: Where is your address? Their account center? Okay, did you
- 4:05Speaker 3: say you caught a man or you shot a man?
- 4:07Speaker 4: I shot? Okay?
- 4:10Speaker 3: Name if you show up on top of the building.
- 4:13Speaker 2: Yes, ma'am, as far as I can see.
- 4:15Speaker 4: Okay.
- 4:16Speaker 3: And what is your name place? My name is Tatiy
- 4:19Speaker 3: say Tassy.
- 4:19Speaker 4: Do not hang up.
- 4:20Speaker 3: Okay, let me get an officer started that way.
- 4:22Speaker 2: I need you to hurry.
- 4:23Speaker 3: Okay, let me get an officer show that way.
- 4:25Speaker 5: Ry please, Okay, man, do not on me.
- 4:32Speaker 2: Okay, I need you to hurry. I'm a boxman. He was, Okay,
- 4:36Speaker 2: he was coming after us.
- 4:37Speaker 3: All forty one shot fire.
- 4:39Speaker 2: Kind away from me. I'm shot, Oh my god, aname.
- 4:46Speaker 3: I just want to confirm he's on the wrist.
- 4:49Speaker 2: On the roof my son window.
- 4:52Speaker 3: Okay.
- 4:53Speaker 2: I don't want to go ahead until forty nine.
- 4:54Speaker 3: Were you clear? Okay, I've got officers headed that way. Okay.
- 4:59Speaker 3: Can you give me a just it sends an individual
- 5:01Speaker 3: that you saw.
- 5:02Speaker 2: It's Brandon James Williams using a great taint coffee and jeans.
- 5:06Speaker 2: I've tried him out on a se any case for
- 5:08Speaker 2: burglary and possession of CDs.
- 5:10Speaker 4: Okay, a great T shirt and jeans.
- 5:12Speaker 2: Yes, Sam, Okay, you he's steal down on the roof
- 5:15Speaker 2: for do.
- 5:15Speaker 3: You think he ran?
- 5:16Speaker 2: He's no lam who's laying down?
- 5:18Speaker 6: Okay?
- 5:19Speaker 4: Yeah? He turned. Yeah, there's no.
- 5:23Speaker 2: Way I've got I've got him on their way.
- 5:26Speaker 3: Can we make access to the rest of the town center.
- 5:30Speaker 2: But I'm saying, here's a central station one.
- 5:32Speaker 3: Need you just stage in the area on subject.
- 5:34Speaker 4: Downshops stage in the area and moved.
- 5:37Speaker 5: To life down.
- 5:38Speaker 3: Okay, how can we make.
- 5:39Speaker 2: Access either the back of the building.
- 5:45Speaker 3: Twenty claar Okay, ma'am, why don't you just stend I'm
- 5:49Speaker 3: man jeans and the red wine? Okay?
- 5:52Speaker 4: Okay?
- 5:53Speaker 3: And uh a checkup?
- 5:59Speaker 4: Okay? Did you shoot him with a time?
- 6:01Speaker 2: I shot him?
- 6:02Speaker 3: But the reason you shot him with a weapon, there
- 6:04Speaker 3: is a weapon.
- 6:05Speaker 2: The weapon is in my office.
- 6:07Speaker 3: Him Sinral fourteen in other units, my RP is stating
- 6:11Speaker 3: that she did shoot him with a weapon. She has
- 6:14Speaker 3: secured her weapon in her office. And you're in the
- 6:17Speaker 3: hallway outside of your office.
- 6:19Speaker 2: Name where you're at again, right in the hallway in
- 6:25Speaker 2: the extor.
- 6:28Speaker 4: Earlier?
- 6:29Speaker 6: Okay?
- 6:30Speaker 3: And what is an officer with you?
- 6:33Speaker 2: My name is Chassy on the roof.
- 6:36Speaker 3: There's an officer with you, Chassidy.
- 6:39Speaker 2: There there are three officers up here, yes, ma'am.
- 6:43Speaker 5: I just want to make certain an officer is with
- 6:45Speaker 5: you right now? That correct?
- 6:47Speaker 2: There's not anywhere there are three officers up here.
- 6:50Speaker 3: Okay, so right where you're at? Okay, Chassy, let me
- 6:54Speaker 3: know certain.
- 6:55Speaker 5: An officer right stay with you?
- 6:57Speaker 2: Yes, right here with me?
- 6:59Speaker 3: Thank you very as chesty, ma'am.
- 7:04Speaker 1: Although Chastity sounds distressed in her nine one one call,
- 7:08Speaker 1: the video footage captured by her son's GoPro tells a
- 7:11Speaker 1: different story. Brandon enters the office and engages in some
- 7:16Speaker 1: friendly small talk with Justin. Without warning, Chastity stands up
- 7:22Speaker 1: and walks over to the office door, which she shuts
- 7:26Speaker 1: and locks. This immediately puts Brandon on a high alert.
- 7:32Speaker 1: Chastity orders Brandon to stand up against the wall and
- 7:36Speaker 1: put his hands behind his back. Brandon complies with her
- 7:41Speaker 1: demands until she tells him to turn around as Justin
- 7:45Speaker 1: awkwardly stands by with a pair of handcuffs.
- 7:50Speaker 5: Orders grandsed risy high arm.
- 7:53Speaker 6: I don't pretty little challenge.
- 7:55Speaker 5: Absolutely nortous. Have to treat from the guard.
- 8:09Speaker 4: Oh man, pump back? What turn around?
- 8:17Speaker 7: What do you mean?
- 8:18Speaker 4: Turn around?
- 8:19Speaker 1: What's going on here?
- 8:21Speaker 2: I'm gonna sit and talk to the cuffs were chat?
- 8:23Speaker 4: Turn I'm not gonna cuffs?
- 8:25Speaker 7: Yeah, actually you are, Patie on the way where you
- 8:28Speaker 7: can turn around you hand, hide your back for what?
- 8:31Speaker 5: Turn around, open the doors back, don't.
- 8:36Speaker 4: Put your hands on.
- 8:37Speaker 2: Turnun your hands, find your.
- 8:38Speaker 5: Back, don't put your hands on and put your hands
- 8:41Speaker 5: behind me.
- 8:41Speaker 4: Why what are you doing this to me?
- 8:43Speaker 1: For?
- 8:45Speaker 4: Why are you doing? Hand? Bind this to me? Four?
- 8:50Speaker 5: Man?
- 8:54Speaker 4: O me? W just I did? Boy?
- 9:08Speaker 1: As Brandon starts to escape through the window, Chastity goes
- 9:12Speaker 1: to her desk and pulls a gun out of the drawer.
- 9:16Speaker 1: Without hesitating, she points the weapon at Brandon and shoots him,
- 9:21Speaker 1: killing him. Her son reacts in shock and horror, but
- 9:27Speaker 1: Chastity remains cold and impassive. She leaves the room and
- 9:33Speaker 1: calls nine one one. Chastity was charged with first degree murder,
- 9:39Speaker 1: but argued that the shooting was in self defense. She
- 9:43Speaker 1: claimed that off camera, Brandon was trying to get to
- 9:47Speaker 1: her gun. I got to the gun first, she said.
- 9:51Speaker 1: It was me or him. I didn't have a choice.
- 9:56Speaker 1: This assertion makes little sense, however, as Chastity shot him
- 10:01Speaker 1: in the back. It also begs the question of how
- 10:05Speaker 1: Brandon would even know that there was a gun in
- 10:08Speaker 1: the desk drawing. The video footage does not at any
- 10:12Speaker 1: point show Brandon threatening either Chastity or Justin, nor does
- 10:18Speaker 1: it indicate that they are ever afraid of Brandon. Shockingly,
- 10:23Speaker 1: after a four day trial, Chastity was acquitted of the crime,
- 10:28Speaker 1: causing widespread outrage. Jurors were unable to convict her of
- 10:34Speaker 1: first degree murder as they could not prove that she
- 10:37Speaker 1: intended to end Brandon's life. Her attorney argued that she
- 10:42Speaker 1: was simply trying to injure him. District Attorney Laura Thomas
- 10:46Speaker 1: received severe criticism for charging Chastity with first degree murder
- 10:51Speaker 1: instead of manslaughter or reckless use of a gun, which
- 10:55Speaker 1: would have resulted in a conviction. Brandon William and his
- 11:00Speaker 1: family are not the only victims of this unwarranted shooting.
- 11:05Speaker 1: For Chastity's son, Justin, he undoubtedly experienced unimaginable trauma from
- 11:11Speaker 1: witnessing his mother kill an innocent man in cold blood.
- 11:15Speaker 1: The young man broke down in tears multiple times throughout
- 11:19Speaker 1: the trial during his testimony. Chastity, however, was not deterred
- 11:24Speaker 1: from bail bonds and returned to that line of work
- 11:27Speaker 1: as soon as she was released. Cold mornings holiday plans.

- 29:31Speaker 1: Catherine ran a business out of her home and employed
- 29:34Speaker 1: her daughter, Vanessa, as well as two other women named
- 29:37Speaker 1: Debbie and Amy. On January fourteenth, twenty ten, all four
- 29:43Speaker 1: women were at the property when John Cayley's showed up.
- 29:48Speaker 1: John shot Catherine three times, killing her. He then turned
- 29:53Speaker 1: to Mnessa and Debbie and shot each of them multiple times.
- 29:59Speaker 1: Debbie died, but Manessa survived and feigned death to get
- 30:03Speaker 1: her uncle to stop shooting her. He then shot Amy twice,
- 30:09Speaker 1: and she also played dead. Both Amy and Debbie were
- 30:14Speaker 1: complete strangers to John and had no idea who he was.
- 30:19Speaker 1: After John left, Amy called nine one one, and the
- 30:23Speaker 1: operator responded with patience and compassion, reassuring and comforting Amy
- 30:29Speaker 1: while she waited for emergency personnel to arrive. Thankfully, both
- 30:34Speaker 1: Amy and Manessa survived. Sadly, Manessa was two months pregnant
- 30:39Speaker 1: at the time of her attack and lost her unborn
- 30:43Speaker 1: child before long. Police found John in his vehicle, still armed,
- 30:50Speaker 1: and attempted to apprehend him. The encounter turned into a
- 30:54Speaker 1: shootout and John killed police Captain Chad Reid. John was
- 30:59Speaker 1: shot as well well, and he was arrested and brought
- 31:02Speaker 1: to the hospital. John Cayley's was first brought to trial
- 31:09Speaker 1: for Captain Reid's murder and received life in prison. At
- 31:14Speaker 1: his second trial for the attack on his sister's home,
- 31:18Speaker 1: he was given the death penalty. Not even learning his
- 31:23Speaker 1: sentence would break the expressionless gaze from John's face. This
