- 1:20This is Viewpoint This Sunday.
- 1:27Welcome to the weekend news magazine.
- 1:30Viewpoint this Sunday.
- 1:32It is Malcolm Out Loud here, and welcome to the broadcast, my fellow Americans.
- 1:36And uh so you see a lot of this political violence happening, right?
- 1:41Uh you see what just happened at the correspondence affair and all of that.
- 1:45Uh it's becoming a little too common and and uh too usual.
- 1:48Well, you see it a lot of the headlines as well, and the New York Times had a very interesting one.
- 1:53Uh an age of violence, uh question mark.
- 1:56And the the questions really are is political violence worse now than before.
- 2:01And what does that tell us about the country right now in the division?
- 2:05And of course, we're in a very unusual time with what's going on in the world.
- 2:08Edward Huglin is here.
- 2:10He's a retired federal senior executive and U.S.
- 2:12Air Force veteran, worked in the intelligence community, Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, Department of Energy in the state.
- 2:18And he is just a great voice for these times here.
- 2:21And and the cognitive war is really the the big book he's got out.
- 2:25And also it's it's uh it's something he uh works hard at putting that out there, the bringing people aware of that problem.
- 2:31Uh so thrilled to have on here.
- 2:34Blanquita Cullum is here.
- 2:35Haven't talked in a while with her, and she uh served as a Senate confirmed governor on the United States broadcasting board of governors.
- 2:43She has a great uh backdrop of her career, by the way.
- 2:47In that capacity, she served as chairman of the committee on Radio Free Europe, Radio Free Asia, Radio and Television, Marty and the Middle East Broadcast Network.
- 2:55She's really been got some things done.
- 2:57Uh it's terrific.
- 2:58Blanquita is uh terrific to have you.
- 3:00And round it now, Patricia Antone is a political analyst, activist, and a brilliant writer here on the platform.
- 3:07And she's got a piece I'll tell you about a little bit after here, but it's a good one.
- 3:11Uh gets into a little bit of Mondami.
- 3:13The big apple's got a voracious and toxic worm called Mandami's great image on that one.
- 3:18Go check it out at AmericaRoboud.news.
- 3:21Want to talk about the age of violence and start this off here.
- 3:24And uh this first one, Ed, I want to open it up with you here.
- 3:27The question that the the New York Times now puts out there, is political violence worse now?
- 3:32Now, let me, before we answer that question here, and I think most people would quickly say, Yes, this is horrible.
- 3:38Yes, we've never seen anything like it.
- 3:39Yes, we're going right over the edge.
- 3:41And and I see that in a lot of uh uh uh uh uh a lot of walks of life.
- 3:46When things get complicated here, we sort of think this is the worst ever, man.
- 3:50You know, it's like like election fraud, all of that.
- 3:52We talk a lot about a lot of it here.
- 3:54Here's what the New York Times says, Ed.
- 3:56If we are looking at the period from 1865 to 1901, three of the nine presidents were assassinated.
- 4:04A comparable rate today would mean that we would have lost two of the three sitting presidents since the late 1980s.
- 4:09It's also the case in the 60s and 70s.
- 4:13There were the assassinations of uh Martin Luther King Jr., John F.
- 4:16Kennedy, and Robert Kennedy, and days with multiple bombings by radical domestic groups.
- 4:22That's just not what we've seen in the last two decades.
- 4:25Now, this is what the Times points out.
- 4:27Interesting.
- 4:28Usually they take the other approach and scare the hell out of people.
- 4:31Uh so if you put that in the context now and answer that question, is political violence worse now?
- 4:36What do you see, buddy?
- 4:38Well, first of all, I think the gray old lady's dead and died for some time ago.
- 4:43But I don't think it's anything worse.
- 4:46But one thing that people should know about both those periods of time is what were who conducted the majority of those assassinations?
- 4:54There were left-wing zealots and and members of the left wing, which today uh the Democrats seem to want to incentivize to continue their killing story into the nineties and and twenties and and further.
- 5:08So I don't think it's gotten uh any worse than it was before.
- 5:13But for the last decade now, people must remember from the summer of love and everything else that the the anarchy, the murders, the assaults, the arsons.
- 5:22Okay.
- 5:22This is also come from the the left.
- 5:25So uh I do think it's gonna get worse, though.
- 5:28And I've written in my book and also articles that you publish on America Out Loud.
- 5:33It is been getting worse.
- 5:34And the reason why is because the Democrats have got tossed out of power.
- 5:39But now they see their pathway back to power is through a blood revolution in my mind.
- 5:45Wow.
- 5:45Wow.
- 5:46That uh and and uh Ed has a very interesting um uh uh essay I'm gonna tell you all about in a little bit that backs up what he says right there.
- 5:54Uh uh, and that could be the difference here.
- 5:55I don't know.
- 5:56Uh Blanquita, Blanquita Cullum, in this age of violence we're talking about.
- 6:00Let's get an opening comment from you.
- 6:01But let me read this again, uh, this other little piece here from the Times in that same piece about this age of violence.
- 6:08They say we're living in what can feel like a scary, chaotic moment.
- 6:12There have been three attempts on Donald Trump's life, not counting plots disrupted before they got far enough for an attack.
- 6:19Interesting.
- 6:20Last year, gunman killed uh Charlie Kirk, uh, the right-wing activist, and Melissa Hortman, a Democratic state legislator in Minnesota.
- 6:28One man firebombed the Pennsylvania governor's house, another broke into Nancy Pelosi's home and attacked her husband with a hammer.
- 6:34Has the United States entered a new phase of violent extremism?
- 6:38So again, in this in this age of violence they're speaking about here, and you look historically at our country, uh we s sometimes forget, Blanquita, that this freedom always has had to been fight fought for.
- 6:50We this doesn't come easy here.
- 6:52It never has in 250 years.
- 6:54We always think the sky is fallen because it's our life, it's our turn turn to live, and we are seeing things for the first time in our lives.
- 7:00Seeing things for the first time in our lives.
- 7:01So it seems like, oh my god, the sky is fallen.
- 7:01So it seems like, oh my God, the sky is fallen.
- 7:03Things are crazy.
- 7:03Things are crazy.
- 7:04Last election we're ever going to have is the next one blanket.
- 7:04Last election we're ever going to have is the next one, Blanquita.
- 7:06But I don't know.
- 7:06But I don't know.
- 7:07Is it really that way?
- 7:07Is it really that way?
- 7:08Well, we have to look at it in a much deeper level.
- 7:08Well, we have to look at it in a much deeper level.
- 7:11You see, we're looking at it and fighting it the old way.
- 7:11You see, we're looking at it and fighting it the old way.
- 7:14You know, there was a billboard in San Antonio from a very uh tough uh attorney.
- 7:14You know, there was a billboard in San Antonio from a very uh tough uh attorney.
- 7:20He said winning's not everything, it's learning how to fight.
- 7:20He said winning's not everything, it's learning how to fight.
- 7:23And part of that means when we're looking at the old ways they used to protest, whether it was Vietnam or whatever, certainly there was a lot of uh paid protesters.
- 7:23And part of that means when we're looking at the old ways they used to protest, whether it was Vietnam or whatever.
- 7:33That's kind of that's kind of historical, it continues now more than ever is that people that want to tear down the country.
- 7:39But the thing of it is that we're dealing with it's different.
- 7:42They're infiltrating schools, they're trying to control agenda, they're infiltrating workplaces, they're trying to control the way that people look at each other as colleagues.
- 7:52They're trying to control the way that we assemble or we don't assemble, who gets the right to speak and who doesn't get the right to speak.
- 7:58And as someone says something we don't like, how do we paint them?
- 8:02We also have the addition that we didn't have during the world world um Vietnam War of the of the multimedia of and and that is much more uh powerful.
- 8:13Yep.
- 8:14That's where my mind was going when you were talking right there, Blanc Peter.
- 8:17That's the that's the game.
- 8:18That's the what's changing the game this time, isn't it?
- 8:21It is, and a funny, a funny slogan came out for people that really can that are upset about guns, they sure do use them a lot.
- 8:29And um the thing that bothers me is you know, in my career, I have MC inaugurals.
- 8:35I have participated at the uh, you know, those uh events of the White House correspondents dinners over the years when they've been really controversial, like when Don I miss spoke.
- 8:45But that is a very complex place to keep safe.
- 8:49There are many ways to open and get gain entry into that hotel.
- 8:54Hopefully now they'll reconsider when they have events of this nature that could compromise the uh security of any president regarding a which regarding uh which side of the aisle that he is on or she is on, uh, we got to make it better.
- 9:09Yeah, no, that's exactly right.
- 9:11Thanks for saying that.
- 9:12Uh violence of any kind uh doesn't work for either side.
- 9:15Uh it's not American, it's un-American for sure.
- 9:18And so finishing out that piece here about the times, I want to say this, Patricia, uh, get your opening remarks.
- 9:25What does that tell us about the country now?
- 9:27Is the question mark the times puts in that piece?
- 9:31Well, I think that we've we've mainstreamed the whole the whole uh violent activism idea.
- 9:36And that I think is the difference between the period that they're citing in the article and and where we are at right now.
- 9:42We have several generations now of people who have been raised as activists with the purpose to uh to be activists.
- 9:51And uh so I I think that the left has has basically harnessed and cultivated the weaponized envy.
- 9:59So to to become class envy, and having done that, um you know that they uh they are able that that's what community organizing is.
- 10:09It's organizing class envies and then deploying that as a weaponized thing.
- 10:15So if I say, if I say from this piece here now, history tells us that isolated incidents of political violence, even the assassination of elected officials or presidents, do not lead to the end of the republic, is how the times ends that.
- 10:31Um you agree or you don't agree with that.
- 10:34Actually, I agree with that, because if it were just isolated insults, if it was atomized portions of the population per pursuing this craziness, then yeah, you know, you can you can contain and control that, and it doesn't reflect the entire society.
- 10:48What's dangerous about what's happening now is that it is reflective of what's happening with half of the nation.
- 10:57I mean, half of the the left side of the country is violent.
- 11:01I mean, that is their nature now.
- 11:03Right, right.
- 11:04Well, it but but again, from the history, it looks like they've always used a lot of these tactics.
- 11:08The thing that's different this time, uh Blanquita pointed out very effectively, is the media.
- 11:12Uh, this has changed it drastically, as well as the fact that to in today's world, it's pretty sure that Americans realize we do not have a fourth estate anymore.
- 11:21Uh that box cannot be checked.
- 11:23Uh, I mean, that's a good thing.
- 11:24How come control?
- 11:25The other part of that is this.
- 11:26Yeah.
- 11:27We don't really, you know, we can we are upset about what goes on at the border, but yeah, we won't go to the Darien Pass and ask the question why 10,000 Chinese young men were dropped off and paid for by China.
- 11:39We don't ask the question of why they were considering building a second Panama Canal in Nigeria or Nicaragua, but in that area, and why uh we just discovered even in places like Texas, uh, these different homes that had Chinese babies that were uh like uh they were regular homes they discovered that had so many young babies that were there that these women were brought in, had babies so their babies could become American citizens.
- 12:08You know, it's not that people are, I would say the majority of people, they love uh uh other countries and people from other countries.
- 12:15My own mother was a Mexican citizen.
- 12:17She stayed a Mexican citizen, but we don't like thugs, we don't like cartels, we don't like drug dealers, and we don't like people that exercise a lot of power in human trafficking, and we have to find out who's who's paying for this.
- 12:31Right, right.
- 12:31Well, what happens with the left on a lot of these arguments and the things you put out there right now is they use race.
- 12:37They use race, and uh, and that's how they use it in a lot of these arguments to to uh uh uh try to divide the people and and empower that conversation, create a fear base.
- 12:48You're talking about the border there, Ed.
- 12:49Uh I want to touch briefly on this uh uh President Trump just signed that bill to fund DHS as another big story here after the lengthy shutdown.
- 12:58This was uh longest one ever.
- 12:59There was a partial shutdown, of course, uh, for things that and this is really kind of historical because uh they just didn't want to fund certain things and kept their they didn't get any reforms or anything, uh, but they just kept at it.
- 13:13And so now the passage uh was a win, many say for Trump and leader thune, uh, who urged no modifications, they didn't get any modifications, uh, but now they're gonna budget plan, they're gonna go back for reconciliation, um, the budget plan, as you know already, uh, to fund ICE and border patrol.
- 13:29So, how was this played out?
- 13:30Was this did it work uh the way it should have?
- 13:33I mean, did we get there?
- 13:35The Democrats, it it sure did, because uh the point the New York Times didn't bring up that applies here as well, is besides the assassination attempts and the violence at those different periods in time, they didn't have a Democratic Party that was overtaken by the radicals to the extent it has that in this case here with the the reconciliation package as well.
- 13:58You have lawmakers who are lawbreakers who enabled other tens of millions of people to break our laws and who are now actively resisting enforcing the very laws they signed up to.
- 14:00Lawbreakers who enabled other tens of millions of people to break our laws and who are now actively resisting enforcing the very laws they signed up to.
- 14:10And so you have an activist radical left, what I call the blood revolution of the Democrats driving this whole agenda now.
- 14:10And so you have an activist radical left, what I call the blood revolution of the Democrats driving this whole agenda now.
- 14:17And so for them it was a win because it delayed further any movement and uh removal of the illegal aliens.
- 14:17And so for them it was a win because it delayed further any movement and uh removal of the illegal aliens.
- 14:26And so it advances their cause.
- 14:26And so it advances their cause.
- 14:29Okay.
- 14:29Okay.
- 14:30With what you say there, uh you know, I want to segue over to um now that we I mean we know where that's all going.
- 14:38But let's let's talk a minute about uh the last couple of days, your last few days, uh Pete Heggseth up uh on the hill and uh some of the testimony here.
- 14:47Uh and the AP says making his first appearance before Congress since the Trump administration went to war against Iran.
- 14:53Heg Seth battled with Democrats and some Republicans uh in a nearly six hour house armed uh service committee here and probing him over the war.
- 15:01Hey, uh, and it was quite volatile.
- 15:03And I here's what I want to know.
- 15:05And Blanke, I want to go to you on this here a minute here, please.
- 15:08Uh really the with what you see with Hegse every time he's uh in these testimonies, it gets pretty ugly.
- 15:16How is Heggseth?
- 15:17How is Pete Heggseth being perceived by the public?
- 15:20Do you think?
- 15:20How's it working?
- 15:22Not well in many cases, you know, because um they've seen him as the cheerful host that was on Fox Television, good looking guy.
- 15:34And really and truly the military uh has been through a lot through many administrations.
- 15:40We saw everyone a lot of us were unhappy what happened with General Flynn.
- 15:45People really want to know that anyone who is in, I guess now we're calling it the Department of War, but used to be the Department of Defense, want to make sure that the person that leads that division, that important entity, uh, has a lot of comprehension and experience, uh, especially if we're going to be engaged in war.
- 16:05And I don't know, Mr.
- 16:07Heggseth.
- 16:07I'm sure he's a very good guy, but from what I hear from people that I talk to uh around the country, and certainly in my capacity as a broadcaster, they are not a hundred percent um feeling completely confident with him.
- 16:24Right.
- 16:24That's what I hear as well, Blanquita.
- 16:26And Patricia, to the point of Heg Seth, uh straight out.
- 16:30Is it effective to be highly combative in these public hearings for a cabinet member like that?
- 16:36Is it is that an effective tool?
- 16:38Well, apparently not, on the basis that uh the majority of people are off put by by a compatible combative tone.
- 16:46On the other hand, if if we look just at the at the at the transcript of these uh test this testimony, I think we come away with a different view of it.
- 16:57I mean, when you when you listen to it, when you watch it, it feels combative, it feels off-putting.
- 17:03When you read the points being made, it's pretty tough to argue with it.
- 17:07So well, the public uh the persona means everything, the public persona and the image you give off.
- 17:12So most people don't read any of that crap, by the way, uh Patricia, but they see the fit, they see the sound bites that are playing afterward.
- 17:20So that's uh probably damaged control.
- 17:22But let me get to a bigger point, Ed, with Pete Heggseth.
- 17:25And I just want to ask you right now because uh Pete Heggsh, uh, are his days numbered in the administration?
- 17:31Hell no.
- 17:31I think he's doing a fantastic job.
- 17:33Well, I have to vehemently disagree with the other two guests here.
- 17:36Okay.
- 17:36Because I mean, Heg Seth has the experience and knowledge and background.
- 17:40Just like others, they've done the uh character assassination slaughter on them.
- 17:44But as Patricia pointed out in this testimony, I think you have to be combative.
- 17:49You have to come back and show them for what they are, the true hypocrites, the Democrats are.
- 17:53Here they are in opposition to America for everything they've said with every single president for since since the last 50 years related to Iran, getting nuclear weapons, and now they're complete hypocrites and they're cheering for Iran outright.
- 18:06Much like Biden aided China, Russia, and Ukraine, and they all stood by.
- 18:10And so now, once again, you have this.
- 18:12And so they're gonna paint the picture of Pete Hegh in a certain way, but he the his effectiveness shows that not only the recruitment numbers, but in terms of what's Iran doing now and the position they're in now is extremely highly effective.
- 18:26Well, Christy Gnome was also very compatible, by the way.
- 18:28And she caught a lot of hell for it, and it really started to tarnish her reputation out there a little bit here.
- 18:34Now, of course, males tend to get away with it quicker or easier than females.
- 18:39Isn't that is that a true statement, Blanquita?
- 18:41I don't think so because I went through Senate confirmation and it's pretty rough.
- 18:45I'll tell you, you go through everybody investigates you.
- 18:48But the question I have the one of the first things they ask you when you're going through Senate confirmation is Is there anything that you've done that could embarrass the president or the United States, one of your family members?
- 19:03Remember, when they go back and they do background checks, they talk to everybody, they talk to neighbors, they talk to people that knew you in school, they talk to people that you don't even know.
- 19:12No boy.
- 19:13The thing of it is when you take that oath, and it's a very, I mean, I took myself off the air for eight years because I felt I didn't want somebody saying that was working as one of our journalists in Bosnia or in China or anywhere to be embarrassed by some stupid thing I might say in the air.
- 19:31It was an honor to serve the president.
- 19:33It was a great honor to serve uh the American people, and it was a responsibility I took very seriously.
- 19:39Uh, I'm surprised there were things that we didn't know.
- 19:42Uh, I can one of the first things that I'll tell you this, and I I'll just shut up, is that I had a great boss.
- 19:48His name was Jerry Jennings.
- 19:49He'd been the head of the science technology and CIA and FBI.
- 19:53He said to me, BQ, you get in office, don't doll it up, don't find new furniture, don't get new paintings, don't go do things because you think you can because you're the big cheese.
- 20:02Respect the American people and the mission that you're serving.
- 20:06Amen.
- 20:06So I think that we have to be careful of that.
- 20:08And it's not her gender.
- 20:10And I say this to anybody, it's the agenda.
- 20:13We have to be stronger now as Republicans that serve better, more honorable than ever, because they're gonna come after us.
- 20:21Yeah, yeah.
- 20:22Staying with the Department of War now.
- 20:24And you know, it seems odd when you say it that way, because we we we always knew it as the Department of Defense in this time.
- 20:30Of course, it was the Department of War before, but that's what they call it now, the Department of War.
- 20:34And uh, you know, I I wondered, Ed, a little but to your point a moment, Ed, uh quickly, uh, Department of War, uh, Department of Defense, it used to be.
- 20:42Now they changed the Department of War.
- 20:44I was thinking maybe they should have put it as the department of offense.
- 20:47What do you think instead of defense?
- 20:49No, I think the Department of War is good because you have war has offense and defense, but the Department of Defense is a reactive name.
- 20:57It's a purely reactive.
- 20:58Well, that's what I'm being funny with the offense.
- 21:00I mean, and the reason I say it that way, Ed, because Trump, in some ways, is being on offense right now.
- 21:00I mean the reason I say it that way, Ed, because Trump, in some ways, is being on offense right now.
- 21:06He's not just being on defense.
- 21:06He's not just being on defense, he's playing offense with some of these things he's going after.
- 21:07He's playing offense with some of these things he's going after.
- 21:10Well, yeah, but so I'll go back to both Patricia and Black Peter, but they both made really good points about cultivating the mob mentality and the lies that are going on here, and also that the control aspect here.
- 21:10Well, yeah, but so I I'll go back to both Patricia and Black Peter, but they both made really good points about cultivating the mob mentality and the lies that are going on here, and also that the control aspect here, and what the Trump administration, the conservativists have yet to realize.
- 21:23And what the Trump administration, the conservatives have yet to realize, and Blake Peter probably remember this from her days in radio fever Europe.
- 21:27And blank Peter probably remember this from her days in.
- 21:31We forgot how to fight the cognitive war.
- 21:34We forgot how to influence America the way Trump does very good at that.
- 21:38But you need the full-blown weight of the government going back there to help with the narrative, strategic messaging and such.
- 21:45And because he's not done this, he's continually caught flat footed in my mind.
- 21:50Go ahead.
- 21:51You're right, Ed, on that.
- 21:53And the other thing is this is not the time to shut down the voice of America, Radio Free Europe, Radio Liberty, Radio Free Asia, Middle East Broadcast Network.
- 22:03Yes, there's there is a lot of uh problems inside, some corruption.
- 22:08I've tried to tell them clean it up, but don't ever shut it down because we'll never get back in all those countries again.
- 22:15Yeah.
- 22:16Well, to this war now, I want to I want to stay here a moment with the 1973 war powers uh resolution and uh uh Trump telling Congress the hostilities with Iran have terminated.
- 22:27Uh there's a lot of uh interesting things being said here, a lot of nuances that of course were not uh that are not being reported properly, uh very clearly.
- 22:36Uh your sense of this uh with this uh uh the fact that he's saying this to Congress another 60 days, and of course, uh Heg Seth was arguing.
- 22:46And Ed, I need you to talk about this a moment here, please.
- 22:49Uh you've seen Heggseth was arguing uh the the point that uh, well, we've been in a ceasefire, so that time doesn't count or not.
- 22:57But regardless of that, right now the president has been at uh the status quo with the ceasefire.
- 23:03Uh I there are people arguing in my year, Ed, that that ceasefire it was the wrong move because as they always do with the Iranians, it gives the regime time to regroup and restructure and do various things, and that maybe he should have just went full blast because this time delay and pushing forward is really starting to grow old to a lot of people here.
- 23:25Well, that's where people have to grow a spine and grow memory and also have some patience.
- 23:31Okay, so Trump's shown he's been very, very good at at laying out and executing a well thought-out strategy related to what's going on in Iran, financially, militarily, and other.
- 23:43But the American people have uh short and myopic view.
- 23:47But when he what he does need to do is he needs to go out and provide more of a narrative supporting the fact that we need to have a little bit more patience and because this is sacrifice, it's only been eight weeks.
- 23:59And so the War Powers Act, of course, he thinks it's unconstitutional.
- 24:03I think it's unconstitutional.
- 24:04He has grounds to fight that, he has grounds to extend another 30 days.
- 24:08This is all maneuvering he's doing to because he knows he has Iran on the ropes, but you have the Democrats who would rather have America lose and then America have to deal with nuclear blackmail than have this administration or conservatives win.
- 24:24And I'll make one final point there.
- 24:26Why is that?
- 24:27Because the Democrats have gone so far left and they're so hell-bent on gaining absolute power.
- 24:33They more align with China, Russia, and Iran than they align with anything that we have in America in our ideals.
- 24:38Yeah, yeah.
- 24:39Well, and we'll talk more about that a little bit because you hit a couple of big points in your piece here.
- 24:43Patricia, I want I want you to speak about this a moment here.
- 24:46Uh, when Ed says, and this is a big deal, this is a big point we're making right here now.
- 24:50When Ed says that, well, Americans need to grow a spine, they need to have patience, what have you?
- 24:54I would say that there were a lot of people who would disagree with that entirely because they simply cannot afford $4.50 a gallon for gasoline, they can't afford a lot of things.
- 25:04And we can sit in the, and I know the flip side of that is to argue, well, what's the alternative?
- 25:08As the president says, even the alternative is to have a nuclear uh bomb go off or let these people you know get some of these more powerful weapons.
- 25:16Um, you know, no president's going after them like this one has.
- 25:19It's very unusual.
- 25:20But the patience is growing thin with the American public on both sides of the aisle.
- 25:25What do you see out there?
- 25:26I think it's going to grow thin, and I think he's he's willing to pay the political price of America's patience growing thin.
- 25:33And the truth is, um, just as Ed pointed out, uh, it it hasn't been very long.
- 25:40And the the influences causing gas prices to be very high are very specific.
- 25:45And there's a there's a very known and and quantifiable end in sight.
- 25:50So yeah, we have to see it through.
- 25:52We have to finish it and uh make sure.
- 25:53So you're you're a support of staying there and finishing the job.
- 25:56You're you're absolutely not.
- 25:58Okay, all right.
- 25:59And and when you say that, and again, there's a division in the Republican Party that not everybody agrees with that for sure.
- 26:04I mean, that is a very, very um divided conversation right now, even on this network, it is very, very divided.
- 26:10Blanquito, are you it it's simple?
- 26:13Uh you think finishing the job right now, or listen, listen, it it depends how far that job goes ahead because these midterms are coming quick right now.
- 26:20And if things are anywhere near where they are right now, if he doesn't start to land some of these planes and get on with the domestic politics, you're and what Patricia Netta is saying, well, it doesn't really matter, but I'm gonna suggest to you back it does, because if he continues on here and he this midterm goes the way that many are predicting it will go, his administration will be cut off at the knees immediately, and there will be damage control.
- 26:44It's gotta get better.
- 26:45The other thing of this, when you're talking about oil, remember the uh remember the uh what happened with fracking.
- 26:52We got a lot of oil.
- 26:53I'm from Texas, okay.
- 26:55And and people can have, we've got a lot of ways to have oil.
- 26:58We can the relationship that we had with Canada.
- 27:01We we shut that down.
- 27:02We had to stop the pipeline.
- 27:05We've got to be smarter with it and go back to some of the ways that worked well.
- 27:09But on the issue of Iran, you know, again, uh we have institutional memory talking about the votes on when they wanted to do these deals with Biden and before that uh with uh Iran.
- 27:22You know, one of the things that I remember very well when I was uh dealing with the Persian service uh and voice of America, we got a request from from the listeners, and they said, Can you create a series?
- 27:35How the Americans, the young Americans were able to fight against England and the American revolution.
- 27:42They love our story, and they want to go back to that period of time when women are not killed because they don't wear a hijab or whatever it is, and you've had people killed for listening to the internet or turning on something that that seems inappropriate.
- 27:57I think you're talking about in Iran, you're talking about in Iran.
- 28:00In Iran.
- 28:01We have to find ways to paint the picture that explains the reason that the fight is so critical.
- 28:01We have to find ways to paint the picture that explains the reason that the fight is so critical.
- 28:09Yes, nuclear is absolutely right at the top.
- 28:09Yes, nuclear is absolutely right at the top.
- 28:13But what is life for the Iranian women and men and children?
- 28:13But what is life for the Iranian women and men and children?
- 28:17Remember, in this country, we don't like bullies.
- 28:17Remember, in this country, we don't like bullies.
- 28:20We never have.
- 28:20We never have.
- 28:21So it's again going back to that billboard.
- 28:21So it's again going back to that billboard, winning's not everything, it's knowing how to fight and making the American people understand that because even if they're on the left.
- 28:23Winning's not everything.
- 28:24It's knowing how to fight.
- 28:26And making the American people understand that, because even if they're on the left, the majority of people on the left are not so far left that they will like a bully.
- 28:34They don't.
- 28:34Well, no, it's true.
- 28:36But what you're describing with Iran, and uh, you know, there's a lot of passion, uh, compassion for what you're saying.
- 28:43Uh correct with the Iranian people.
- 28:45The Iranian, this war isn't against the Iranian people, it is the radical regime.
- 28:49However, if we were to take that, this gets back to uh democracies and nation building and all let me just say, if we were to take that, and if that was our and this is where there's a real fight here in our nation right now, and a division that I don't think is going to be healed easy, because uh if we apply that all over the place to area, we would be all over the globe stretched so thin, we we would collapse as it was.
- 29:13But we're but if we're in Iran right now, Malcolm, if we're in Iran right now, right?
- 29:17You ask the American, it's your neighbor.
- 29:20What's going on over there?
- 29:21Who are those people?
- 29:23Who well, who are we fighting?
- 29:24Who are they?
- 29:25They don't know.
- 29:26If we can do a better job, educate people, educating people in a way that they'll listen, that they'll understand, and we're creative enough.
- 29:35We can do that.
- 29:36Well, if they listen to America out loud, we'll educate the people.
- 29:38Let me tell you command.
- 29:40Yeah.
- 29:41Malcolm, one thing that that's missing here.
- 29:44So what Blanquetti is talking about with Iran.
- 29:47Look at America under Biden and and ask what was the difference between what was happening in Iran, what was happening in America?
- 29:54And the only difference is that Americans, we were able to continue to exercise our second amendment right.
- 30:00The other aspect that you're not mentioning here is the wildcard congressional redistricting and the fact that the economy is booming like heck.
- 30:09And so those things can come into play a lot more here in the midterms than just the game.
- 30:13And I and I want to talk about that after the pause, Ed.
- 30:16So hold on to that thought.
- 30:17But I one quick other thing I need you to speak about, though, and I want your opinion on.
- 30:21Uh are you in support of this withdrawing the 5,000 troops from Germany and the clash with NATO?
- 30:27What do you think about that?
- 30:28It sends a message.
- 30:30I think the message needs to be sent.
- 30:32Uh we will see what the next steps here are.
- 30:35But uh our allies are once allies in Germany, the UK, Spain, and others have all shown what they're really about.
- 30:41Globalism and leftism, and they didn't learn from two world wars.
- 30:45So perhaps there's a time for a third that this time we won't.
- 30:49So you support that.
- 30:50Blanquita, uh Patricia, do either of you have a different opinion or do you support this uh this threat of removing the 5,000 troops from Germany?
- 30:57No, I totally support it.
- 30:58I totally support it.
- 30:59I I think the reason they have been at liberty to go so far left and to embrace all this socialism and Marxism and Islamification and all that.
- 31:07They they've been at liberty to do that because we've had their back in terms of uh defense.
- 31:13So if we if they don't have if we don't have their back and they say, Oh, we gotta we gotta defend ourselves, then maybe a new approach.
- 31:20Interesting.
- 31:21And maybe a new approach, Patricia.
- 31:23Uh the question I have here is I I'd like to know who we have handling the diplomatic side of this.
- 31:30Uh, we have weak leadership in some of these countries.
- 31:33Look what's going on in England.
- 31:35Look at what's going on in on France, look what's going on around the world.
- 31:39We don't have Winston Churchill's, we don't have other leaders of that caliber that were around during World War II.
- 31:46Uh so I am concerned about it.
- 31:49I want us to do it carefully, very carefully.
- 31:52Yeah, all right.
- 31:52The other thing we should pay attention to is what is it that brings about those kinds of strong leaders?
- 31:59Because it isn't soft times.
- 32:01No, no.
- 32:02Well, it's not soft times, but you also have a situation, even in the UK.
- 32:07I read the Daily Mail every day, and it's always talking about the problem with immigration.
- 32:12Every country's having a problem with immigration.
- 32:14My question always is why are these countries so willing to let these people leave their country?
- 32:20Is it strategic or they just don't care?
- 32:23Yeah.
- 32:23Well, you know, here we are, and uh, you know, a lot of these problems seem new and uh and uh threatening and unique, but as we started this broadcast, I like where we started this today, friends, because I I sometimes think we get in over our schemes a little bit when we think the world is ending and the last election is going to be the last election.
- 32:40How many times have we heard that and said that and reported on that?
- 32:43These are different times, but uh we sometimes also forget to count uh the things that are going well for us or the blessings of life.
- 32:50And I think it's it's I sometimes like to pause and just reflect back on history.
- 32:55When you look at the world wars we've been through, you look at other things that have happened in the world.
- 32:59Uh these are not terribly unique times right now, even though they feel that way.
- 33:03Uh there are problems in the world for sure, but there have always always been problems in the world.
- 33:09And you know why, friends?
- 33:10Because it's the fight of good and evil.
- 33:11That's what this always comes down to.
- 33:13That's the denominator of this.
- 33:15Okay.
- 33:16All right, great conversations here uh with uh Edward Huglin, uh Blanquita colour, Patricia Anton or the panel will stay with us and come back here and we're gonna get into uh well, you see the Supreme Court, the Voting Rights Act is uh pretty big deal for a lot of reasons.
- 33:29But the GOP, midterm warnons mount, uh says politico, and uh we'll talk a little bit about that again.
- 33:35I mentioned about landing some of these planes, we'll touch on some of that a little bit here as well, and some interesting conversations about uh what's going on, uh, you know, a lot of the stuff is socialism is already in our country, and uh we we see the fight that's happening here.
- 33:49These these are unique times uh to us.
- 33:51I mean, after all, this is our lifetime.
- 33:53It's uh it's a little different than uh something that happened a hundred years ago when we weren't here.
- 33:58I mean, it's just like the pandemic when that came through.
- 34:00There was another one a hundred years back, but none of us were alive at that point, right?
- 34:03So it was a unique thing for our times, of course.
- 34:06How we battle it and and how we do it as a people is is going to be the key.
- 34:10Listen, I want to invite you back to America Outloud.news.

- 39:57Check it out, please.
- 39:58Uh, and uh pass it off to your friends and share the show, and uh that's our job here.
- 40:02All right, we're talking here.
- 40:04We've got a stellar group here.
- 40:05Edward Hugland is here, Blanquita Cullum, Patricia Antone, and we're talking about some of the uh we started with some of the violence and the age of violence in a very interesting way that we started the broadcast.
- 40:14Just reminding people that uh we've always had challenges in the world and challenges in our country, and how we address the challenges this time around will make the difference.
- 40:23And uh, and I I want to reinforce that a little bit.
- 40:26I want to give people a little jump in their step and a bit of optimism.
- 40:29I I don't like those who get on these broadcasts and everything is doom and gloom and the world is gonna fall apart and we're all fear-based.
- 40:35Uh that's that garbage is you go listen to Sean Hannity if you want that stuff here.
- 40:39Um this is a little different broadcast here.
- 40:41So, anyways, uh let's jump in now to this.
- 40:43So, what's happening?
- 40:44Uh uh I think the biggest thing I start with is the midterm warnings.
- 40:47Patricia, I want to start back with you, please.
- 40:50All right, so now um that the DHS shutdown is finally over.
- 40:54Politico says the House approved the bill to fund all DHS ending.
- 40:58The record break is 76-day posture shutdown uh without solving any of the policy disagreements that kept the department shut.
- 41:06And this is all just stupid political games.
- 41:08But here's what they say that I want to talk to you about.
- 41:11They say the blinking red lights.
- 41:12And by the way, I get I get all the leftist pieces because I want to know where they're the radical left.
- 41:17I see all the stuff they do, and that and I use it here to report back to the American people.
- 41:22They call it the blinking red lights, Patricia, a top GOP super pack warned today that the GOP Senate majority, once considered pretty safe, is now at risk.
- 41:33The anxiety is stemming in part from voters' sovereign view of the economy.
- 41:38Once one of Trump's strongest issues amid the four-year high gas prices, as the war in Iran is set to stretch into his third month.
- 41:45March saw the country's fastest inflation growth in four years, according to economic data released today.
- 41:50Now, that's where I get to the nuts and bolts of some of this conversation that nobody is really talking about yet on this broadcast.
- 41:57But I think that he's got to land this around thing quickly.
- 42:00Quickly, like I mean yesterday.
- 42:01Like I mean yesterday.
- 42:02And I know you keep saying go to the end, but if you do, if you do, and this drags on much longer, Patricia, I can pretty well guarantee you the midterm will go left and we we will be out of gas.
- 42:02And I know you keep saying go to the end, but if you do, if you do, and this drags on much longer, Patricia, I can pretty well guarantee you the midterm will go left, and we we will be out of gas.
- 42:13What do you say?
- 42:13What do you say?
- 42:14Well, what is the end?
- 42:14Well, what is the end?
- 42:15What is the end?
- 42:15What is the end?
- 42:16And and uh as Heggs was arguing, the end of actual offensive um uh uh hostilities has already been were there.
- 42:16And and uh as Heggseth was arguing, the end of actual offensive um uh hostilities has already been we're there.
- 42:27Uh they've been decimated.
- 42:27Uh they've been decimated, and now it's a question of guarding.
- 42:32What the hell are we hanging around for in the strait?
- 42:34Why are we hanging there still if it's all done?
- 42:36But no, the uh we have to protect and and open the strait.
- 42:41We still have that to do, and that is that is more a defensive uh move.
- 42:45We need to we need to kill the bad guys as they come up.
- 42:48So I I see it as okay, um, like like Blanquito was was talking about, we need to articulate this thing um the way Hegh did.
- 42:59Okay, so maybe he came off a little combative, but you know, the the points that he made are right.
- 43:05Uh they're right.
- 43:06We have done our job, the military performed brilliantly, and now it's a question of finish the job of starving these people to death without starving that regime to death by uh by protecting the strait.
- 43:18So um, yeah, it's gonna have to get done.
- 43:20Um, no matter what the political cost is.
- 43:23All right.
- 43:23Well, let's listen, blank it.
- 43:25The the the uh regime is not going to starve to death.
- 43:27Uh, the people, the Iranian people will.
- 43:30But let me tell you, that regime is gonna, these people do not stop, they do not back down for anything.
- 43:35That's their life.
- 43:36It's they live to die, right?
- 43:38And you have to think about the aspect right now, what's going on?
- 43:42Um, you know, I have a son, I have a daughter, a lot of us have kids.
- 43:47They can't go out and buy a house, it's too expensive.
- 43:50Exactly.
- 43:50You know, they can't afford to do it, and there some of them have two and three jobs trying to be creative to be able to support their families.
- 43:58The other thing is hold on.
- 44:00What is hold on?
- 44:00What do they do then?
- 44:01How long is it?
- 44:02Stop a minute here.
- 44:03How long can because what you just described is the pain everybody is feeling right now.
- 44:08So, how long can these people hold on to this BS that we keep saying, yeah, yeah, yeah, we're gonna do what we're gonna do, we're gonna do no matter how long it takes.
- 44:15How long can they hang on, man?
- 44:17Well, I don't know.
- 44:18And uh, you know, I don't think that if they don't, I to your point, I agree with you, Malcolm, they gotta find a way to pull it to an end or at least uh you know, a halt so that we can get through this time, and people aren't sitting there thinking, holy cow.
- 44:33And if we go back and we reinstate the draft, do we not think that our daughters are going to be included in the draft?
- 44:38Give me a break.
- 44:39But I did see something that made me laugh.
- 44:42And I'll I'm gonna share this one with you because I thought it was pretty creative.
- 44:45You know, in California and Los Angeles, they have a mayorial race coming up, and um, there's a guy by the name of Spencer Pratt.
- 44:53I saw this this morning.
- 44:54I don't know anything about him.
- 44:56But uh he's running against a person, a woman who is from what I can read is very uh has communist sympathies, okay.
- 45:05And so what he did is he went out and he said, uh, you know, he he shot the location, uh, videoed the location where he was showing the house of the current mayor, showing them the house of this candidate, yeah, and which was a three million dollar house.
- 45:20Yeah, and then it showed his house, which was really just a was a trailer, okay?
- 45:26He was living in a mobile home.
- 45:28If we have more creative ways to show the effect on how the American people are suffering, not at just at the hands of this war.
- 45:37Well, just go show Pelosi's refrigerator again, for God's sakes.
- 45:40That's all you're gonna do is negative fund.
- 45:43Or you have people saying, Well, I'm gonna drink me a beer, pocahontas.
- 45:46You know, she's trying to look very uh normal.
- 45:50Um the average person, the the average person is fed up with the baloney, but they just there was an old show that Johnny Carson started on, and it was called Who Do You Trust?
- 45:59That's the key break that pays.
- 46:02This constitutional republic uh is not doing a good job sending the right cats to to to power in power.
- 46:09That's the problem here.
- 46:10Well the we're a representative government, but we're picking really crappy choices to represent us.
- 46:15And so they rob the bank, they rob everything, they put gates up, they they they they uh uh launder the money, they they get rich and fat and and let me tell you one other thing that we don't discuss.
- 46:26Do you know how much the cartels make a month on human trafficking?
- 46:30Oh, yeah.
- 46:31They make a billion dollars.
- 46:33You covered that on your show, and that's one of the sickest things of humanity that disgust me, any kind of trafficking.
- 46:38I'll tell you, it's disgusting.
- 46:39It really is.
- 46:40Um, let's get Ed back into this conversation as far as uh this uh uh you know, this blinking red lights that we're talking about now, Ed, and you've been saying no finish the job for that.
- 46:50Well, let me ask you about finishing the job something, Ed.
- 46:53As I've been watching strategically, things are the way they're going, they had uh a lot of targets they dismantled before the ceasefire that went very, very well.
- 47:02It seemed they were doing some pretty I mean, as well as the multi-upper levels of the regime, the radical regime.
- 47:09Now there's still core pieces of that, the metastasizing of that cancer there that is still there.
- 47:15You know, back to the back to the uh uh Carg island and and that whole straight, you know.
- 47:20If maybe why not get totally aggressive if you're gonna do it, the regime is not gonna listen.
- 47:26He keeps saying we want to negotiate with them.
- 47:28I assume he's just doing this for public consumption.
- 47:30I know I have to assume he knows we're not gonna really get any kind of deal from these people.
- 47:35We were never gonna get a deal from them.
- 47:36He keeps saying he's gone looking for a deal, Ed.
- 47:39I assume he knows we're never getting one.
- 47:41So why the hell didn't he finish the carg island off?
- 47:43Dismantle the damn thing, stop get those boats the hell out of there, stop the mines, open up the straits, and uh let's get on with it.
- 47:51So, a couple of reasons is first of all, uh taking on carg island would then take out the means for the Iranian people to rebuild their economy afterwards.
- 48:02Second, what was not being discussed is look what's happening with the OPEC and the UAE, Venezuela, U.S.
- 48:10oil production, other stuff like that.
- 48:11What you're seeing behind the scenes is a massive increase in production, okay, separate from what was happening in around.
- 48:19And so you're seeing is the production of the oil that's required to fuel the economies of the world happening elsewhere, but at the same time, you're seeing severe restrictions impacting Russia and China, Cuba, okay, major regional hemisphere enemies for decades.
- 48:38And so all these things are being played out extremely well by this administration in a broader strategy.
- 48:44And the reason he's not going out and broadcasting that because he doesn't want to highlight these different aspects of his strategy, because then it it takes away from again his narratives, which tend to then help his cause.
- 48:57And so that the the last thing there on the midterms.
- 49:00On the the midterms.
- 49:01Remember when the GOP right after Trump was elected, say a Democratic Party's dead.
- 49:01Remember when the GOP right after Trump was elected, say oh Democratic Party's dead.
- 49:05Okay, they do the same damn stupid thing every single single cycle.
- 49:05Okay, they do the same damn stupid thing every single single cycle.
- 49:09The only saving grace here is the radical left is so far left, the American people still don't trust him.
- 49:09The only saving grace here is the radical left is so far left, the American people still don't trust them.
- 49:16And so, that's the saving grace in all this, I hope, Ed.
- 49:16And to the other thing, saving grace in all this, I hope, Ed.
- 49:19The fact that they are.
- 49:19The fact that they are.
- 49:27So American people are stupid.
- 49:27So American people are stupid.
- 49:28I don't think you're that stupid.
- 49:28I don't think you're that stupid.
- 49:30Yeah, no, well, uh, there's some of them are, but not not all.
- 49:32They're pretty smart otherwise.
- 49:34People are not stupid.
- 49:35They're not stupid.
- 49:36I disagree with that.
- 49:37What I learned back in the day when I started broadcasting is if I can understand the issue, the American people can.
- 49:44It's how it's presented to them, and who do they trust?
- 49:47You know, I've been to Venezuela many times during my career as a governor.
- 49:51And in Venezuela, you've got the presence of Iran, you've got Syria, you've got China.
- 49:57China made a deal with Venezuela when they were so corrupt from Chavez to Maduro to give them their oil, and that's heavy oil in places that only can be processed in cities like Houston.
- 50:08So we had to do a better job.
- 50:10All right.
- 50:11I need to get this on the fast high speed lane because I got some other things to talk about here.
- 50:15So uh this uh Supreme Court limits vote and rights act.
- 50:18Patricia, I want you to speak about this.
- 50:19You have a six to three rule in the justice narrowed how this key provision of the acts can be enforced.
- 50:25Uh this was uh heavily said that it was going to favor the Republicans.
- 50:30What do you what's give me your and this got into really messy stuff uh because they were isolated, as you know, Patricia, the the uh majority black districts in Louisiana.
- 50:38Again, the left use they use race to divide everything.
- 50:41Uh, these people are about the biggest racist uh conglomerate uh on the planet is the radical left.
- 50:47Uh, but talk about that uh six three ruling.
- 50:50What do you think?
- 50:50Well, I I think that the American people and and I think we're waking up from this whole delusion that you can solve racism with more racism in the other.
- 51:01So they do it, Patricia, they do it and they try to make sense of it.
- 51:05Yeah.
- 51:05So, and yeah, we we will wake up, but it's going to, it's it's a process, it's not an event, and and this ruling is going to help.
- 51:12And uh, so you know, it's it's gonna take a while.
- 51:15And I think years from now, we're gonna look back on this and we're gonna say that's that's the point at which we started realizing that racism is wrong no matter who engages it.
- 51:24So yeah, yeah.
- 51:25Let me stay with you on a moment as we're talking about that.
- 51:28I want to get into the big apple in New York, please.
- 51:30You have a fantastic article on the platform, The Big Apples Got of Auracus and Toxic Worm called Mandami.
- 51:36It's a must read, and you've got to see that image on there.
- 51:39It's it's it speaks volumes.
- 51:41Uh, and you say here, Patricia, in his push to discourage and punish investment in New York City, Mondami is driving private wealth from New York City as quickly as possible.
- 51:50Purging the city of wealth creators is clearly the result, if not the intent, of two recently fulfilled campaign promises.
- 51:58He talks about the greater good, the greater good pursued by socialism isn't provisioned for the city's poor, most of whom will suffer first, and most when the government acts to impede wealth creation investment within the city, the greater good for which Mondami strives is power.
- 52:12This was a hell of a piece, but you really nailed down a lot of the socialism.
- 52:15Give me a a soundbite on this uh Colin, please, or what the real problem in in uh Mandami land up there.
- 52:22Well, uh Mandami has has uh done what communists do, and that is weaponize greed, weaponize uh class envy.
- 52:30So um that that is the the um the basis of community organizing is to get this collective against that collective and promise them yada yada that um and so that's how communists rise to power.
- 52:43So, yeah, the idea that the city will be more impoverished because of what he's doing with the whole grocery store thing and and this this crazy tax on people who buy uh second properties there and stuff like that.
- 52:58All of those policies, he doesn't care that those serve to diminish the wealth both created and invested in the city.
- 53:06That's not a concern because what we're trying to do here is weaponize envy class envy and class hatreds in order to rise to power.
- 53:14So that's we'll uh that's that's why we're not gonna see you know, people say, Oh, he's so foolish and wait till he sees what the results of that is, and that'll show him and no, it won't.
- 53:23All right, how much more can he break New York City?
- 53:25How much more can he break it before they cry uncle up there?
- 53:28Patricia, quick.
- 53:29Oh, a lot.
- 53:30He can break it a lot.
- 53:31He can get it so that that uh they're screaming for they're already screaming for federal subsidies, and they can cause a whole bunch of other blue states to be checking their pockets, and you know, it's it it it will get worse before it gets better.
- 53:44You know what?
- 53:45Sometimes I think these people have got to sit and uh you know, Blanquita, I look at it as they've got to sit and smell their own uh their own stench that they've created in some of these urban cesspools.
- 53:55It's terrible what's going on up there.
- 53:56It you know, I don't like it at all, what's happened to America's cities, but I was reporting on this 20 years ago, the death of our cities, and here we are today, Blanquita, right?
- 54:04And you're gonna see an underground of people that are gonna start like this guy, Spencer Pratt, who's gonna find a creative way to fight.
- 54:11Again, it's not winning everything, it's knowing how to fight.
- 54:15You've got him in places all around the country that are trying to be creative that reach the heart of the American voter.
- 54:22Yeah, I want to talk about your article real fast as well.
- 54:24I got two other things to do here, so let me just get to it here.
- 54:27Uh uh, Blanquita.
- 54:28You say the world is wrong side up, it needs to be turned upside down to be right side up.
- 54:33That was an Alice in Wonderland deal there.
- 54:35But many times we wake up in the morning and we think we are going down rabbit holes, frankly, here.
- 54:40But this was quite a piece.
- 54:41Uh, and you ask the question here, regardless of who is in office or from which political party, how far should freedom of speech go?
- 54:49And you get into this all from the Luigi Mangioni kind of thing.
- 54:52You talk about the White House correspondence that on the media.
- 54:54So let me ask you that question.
- 54:56How far should freedom of speech go?
- 54:58Freedom of speech should go as far as we can make it go without causing violence or causing someone's death.
- 55:04Then that breaks the law.
- 55:06The fact of the matter is, I mean, you know, I've in my career have had to stand up for Rush Limbaugh and Howard Stern back in the day, because freedom of speech allows the American people to make a decision.
- 55:17Again, I have a great deal of faith in the American people.
- 55:20It's their ox that's getting gored.
- 55:22We have to give them options to understand how they can fight back, start being fearless, not being worried about being canceled or being called names or being called bigot or racist or anti-this or anti-that.
- 55:36They need to stand up and try to be kind to each other, hold each other up.
- 55:41Remember, the old, that's the oldest golden rule in every religion.
- 55:46Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
- 55:48Amen.
- 55:49That's what I'm talking about with some of these cities, and they just have their hand out looking for a free lunch.
- 55:53I'm sorry, there's no free lunch here.
- 55:55Ed, let's bring this uh give you the last word, big word here now.
- 55:58On I want everybody to go read Ed's piece.
- 56:00Read Ed's piece.
- 56:00It will be in the hot button stories.
- 56:00It will be in the hot button stories.
- 56:03These stories we talk about on the radio here.
- 56:03The stories we talk about on the radio here, if you do not see them on the front page of America Out Loud.news, look at the hot button stories.
- 56:05If you do not see them on the front page of America Out Loud.news, look at the hot button stories, they will be there for sure.
- 56:10They will be there for sure.
- 56:13Now, Ed, your piece, it's not politics, it's a blood sport for absolute power.
- 56:13Now, Ed, your piece, it's not politics, it's a blood sport for absolute power.
- 56:18And I just want to read this little snippet here.
- 56:18And I just want to read this little snippet here.
- 56:20You say here China is our primary foreign enemy.
- 56:20You say here, China is our primary foreign enemy.
- 56:23The Democrat Party has become the primary domestic enemy.
- 56:23The Democrat Party has become the primary domestic enemy.
- 56:27We must protect America from all enemies.
- 56:27We must protect America from all enemies, foreign and domestic.
- 56:31Where have I heard that from before, Ed?
- 56:35That's the oath that all of us take when we uh sign up to serve the government, whether it's military or other.
- 56:41Amen.
- 56:41And so it's a critical aspect here.
- 56:43What we're seeing here is the Democrats are winning this cognitive war.
- 56:481918, 1930s, the 60s and 70s and 80s, we saw the same type of leftist type movements.
- 56:54The difference here is you have a Democratic Party now that has been subserved subverted by radical left.
- 57:01And as you're pointing out, the different candidates putting forth are extreme radical leftists, and they're using this false narrative, these utopian narratives very effectively.
- 57:11And so this is what we have to watch out for because the Democrats get back in power.
- 57:18The only reason we aren't because Trump was re-elected in 2024.
- 57:22That's right.
- 57:22Yeah, a lot of things.
- 57:23Imagine what it would have been the alternative to that.
- 57:26That would be the nightmare of the ultimate rabbit hole.
- 57:29God Sam.
- 57:30Yeah, that'd be the ultimate rabbit hole, Ed.
- 57:32We'd fell into.
- 57:33We may not have a climb out of that one.
- 57:34I don't know.
- 57:35But uh, anyways, and you know, it's funny we say that, and uh, but again, look at where we started the broadcast that uh today's problems are unique to us because we are here fighting them.
- 57:44Our country has weathered many of these storms at 250 years old.
- 57:47This American experiment continues, friends.
- 57:50You have to be engaged with the process.
- 57:52You have to vote, you have to get other people to get out and vote.
- 57:55You have to worry about your local governments, are the most important.
- 57:58Uh, right around your neighborhoods and your particular areas.
- 58:01That's what's going to matter most, it's local.
- 58:04And then it works all the way up from there.
- 58:06That's where the power branch is.
- 58:08And then uh we got to fight like hell.
- 58:10Get the right congressional people, the representatives up to our government uh to represent us.
- 58:15That was the brilliance of the founders.
- 58:17Uh, that's what they wanted here.
- 58:19This was different.
- 58:20This was different, and that's why we stand tall here at 250 years.
- 58:24God love it.
- 58:25Love our country, my friends.
- 58:27I love you.
- 58:27I thank you for joining us here on the mission.
- 58:29Big thank you here to uh it's terrific, these three love them.
- 58:33Uh Edward Hugland, Blanquita Cullum, and Patricia Antone.
- 58:37Thank you for joining me on the mission here.
- 58:39It's time to get involved and get loud, America.
