- 0:00Speaker 1: Massage.
- 0:00Speaker 2: Massage.
- 0:01Speaker 1: Massage. Wow. After a really great meeting, Toyota has a really....
- 0:55Speaker 3: You know, like every dealer pretty much comes and a
- 0:59Speaker 3: lot of their, some bring staff or, uh, important folks
- 1:02Speaker 3: at their dealerships and spouses and things. And, and, uh,
- 1:06Speaker 3: so it's about 5,000 people there. And, uh, we do,
- 1:11Speaker 3: they do what they call the first night is a
- 1:14Speaker 3: reveal show. So we get to see some new product
- 1:17Speaker 3: ideas and things.
- 1:19Speaker 1: I saw, um, Some of the.
- 1:24Speaker 3: Stuff I can talk about, some of it I can't.
- 1:28Speaker 3: Usually I say more than I should probably. I think
- 1:32Speaker 3: William mentioned some of it. Flying cars. There's a partnership
- 1:37Speaker 3: Toyota has with a company called Joby that makes these.
- 1:41Speaker 3: They're like helicopters, but the propellers go move. They're double
- 1:47Speaker 3: redundant motors, so they almost can't fail. They've been in
- 1:52Speaker 3: testing and partnered with Toyota for about 10 years, but
- 1:56Speaker 3: Toyota since 2017. And, yeah, it's just another thing. Toyota
- 2:02Speaker 3: loves to be involved in these things that are change mobility, right? And,
- 2:06Speaker 3: you know, they're into robots. And right now, you know,
- 2:10Speaker 3: mostly they kind of help in manufacturing. We saw a
- 2:14Speaker 3: video of some that the one at the tundra plant
- 2:17Speaker 3: is like a dog dog. that just walks around the
- 2:21Speaker 3: plant and kind of listens and smells and tries to
- 2:27Speaker 3: sense heat in the machine so you can tell if
- 2:31Speaker 3: something's about to break.
- 2:33Speaker 1: And that's all it does.
- 2:36Speaker 3: And another plant, they pick up big things. You know,
- 2:40Speaker 3: they're just stuff that's hard for people to do. They
- 2:43Speaker 3: can lift it without even thinking about it. And so
- 2:47Speaker 3: it's mostly... You know, they're not.
- 2:49Speaker 1: Replacing the people.
- 2:50Speaker 3: They're helping the people do their jobs better and be
- 2:53Speaker 3: more effective and more productive and building cars faster, which
- 2:58Speaker 3: is important in Toyota's world.
- 3:00Speaker 1: They talked about that. They were investing in five.
- 3:03Speaker 3: Facilities in North America right now in America and, you know,
- 3:08Speaker 3: moving all kinds of production stateside because of the tariff stuff.
- 3:13Speaker 1: And trying to.
- 3:16Speaker 3: Plan for that it's hard when you're a manufacturer you
- 3:18Speaker 3: can't do this stuff overnight you've got to really it
- 3:21Speaker 3: takes several years about five years to finish something like
- 3:25Speaker 3: that from the vision to the realization and stuff coming.
- 3:29Speaker 1: Off the line uh.
- 3:30Speaker 3: But uh you know things like uh new uh new
- 3:36Speaker 3: uh Grand Highlander will have a new kind of cosmetic
- 3:40Speaker 3: changes on the front end of the vehicle next year.
- 3:42Speaker 3: We've got the Highlander, traditional Highlander, is coming to an end.
- 3:46Speaker 3: It's going to become a full battery electric vehicle. I'm
- 3:50Speaker 3: not quite sure when we're going to have those yet,
- 3:52Speaker 3: but the Highlander production ends in December of this year,
- 3:57Speaker 3: and then the new Highlander will be out early next year,
- 4:00Speaker 3: and $ 320 million. Mile range on an electric vehicle, a
- 4:05Speaker 3: third row, larger than the electric vehicles we have today,
- 4:08Speaker 3: and really stylish. I loved how it looked. We got
- 4:13Speaker 3: to sit in it and see what it was going
- 4:15Speaker 3: to feel like, and it's great.
- 4:18Speaker 1: What else?
- 4:19Speaker 3: Right now we have Trailhunter trim, or it's not a trim.
- 4:25Speaker 3: It's a model on the Tacoma and 4Runner. And they're
- 4:34Speaker 3: going to add Trailhunter as an option on Tundra and Sequoia.
- 4:40Speaker 3: So right now it comes with air intake that comes up.
- 4:45Speaker 1: It looks like a snorkel coming out of the car.
- 4:47Speaker 3: If you drive in sand or dirt or water, it
- 4:51Speaker 3: makes sure it doesn't ingest it into the vehicle. So
- 4:57Speaker 3: that will not be on the vehicle. the option package
- 5:01Speaker 3: that gets put on the Tundra and Sequoia, but, but
- 5:05Speaker 3: it's got everything else. So you can, but the cool
- 5:07Speaker 3: thing about it is you can take a lower trim
- 5:09Speaker 3: level and then add this serious off-roading, uh, stuff, new wheels, uh, suspension, uh,
- 5:20Speaker 3: all kinds of stuff to make your off-roading experience. So
- 5:22Speaker 3: I think that'll be popular for some of our customers
- 5:25Speaker 3: because a lot of people use their Toyotas and adventure, uh,
- 5:29Speaker 3: fun stuff or work some ranchers and things like that
- 5:35Speaker 3: appreciate that stuff as well we saw this is probably
- 5:43Speaker 3: what I'm not supposed to talk about but things like
- 5:45Speaker 3: Toyota side by side that was built off a Tacoma
- 5:50Speaker 3: TRD Pro engine and suspension 26 inch clearance so it
- 5:57Speaker 3: sits way up high and has these massive shocks and
- 6:04Speaker 3: full four-seater type thing. We saw what they call a
- 6:11Speaker 3: key truck. So key vehicles in Japan are these tiny
- 6:15Speaker 3: little vehicles, a class of car. It's a certain displacement
- 6:21Speaker 3: in the engine and horsepower limitations, stuff like that. But
- 6:26Speaker 3: it's a really cool kind of vehicle because it's not
- 6:29Speaker 3: very expensive.
- 6:30Speaker 1: I think they're, you know, $ 10, 000, $ 15, 000 vehicles. For a
- 6:33Speaker 1: new vehicle? For a new vehicle.
- 6:36Speaker 3: But the truck is cool because it's very.
- 6:40Speaker 1: Flexible in the bed.
- 6:41Speaker 3: So you can have a flatbed, a pickup bed, a
- 6:43Speaker 3: dump bed, a camper shell, you know, all kinds of things.
- 6:48Speaker 3: And it's, you know, it's not... it'll probably just be
- 6:53Speaker 3: an you know out in the country kind of vehicle
- 6:56Speaker 3: rather than on the roads and highways but it's great
- 7:00Speaker 3: for for ranchers and people that are you know have
- 7:04Speaker 3: land and and want to get out there and do
- 7:08Speaker 3: stuff and you know build fences uh you know do
- 7:12Speaker 3: that kind of work you don't you know just not
- 7:15Speaker 3: you know of course.
- 7:15Speaker 1: Your truck can do it too you pick up but but.
- 7:18Speaker 3: The This will give you another alternative, a less expensive vehicle,
- 7:22Speaker 3: more easy to replace, and.
- 7:24Speaker 1: Just doesn't cost. You know, pickup trucks can.
- 7:28Speaker 3: Start in the $ 40 to $ 60 and more, $ 1, 000 now.
- 7:32Speaker 3: So if you can get one for well under $ 20,
- 7:35Speaker 3: that would be a big difference.
- 7:38Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 7:39Speaker 3: You know, lots of other cool stuff coming, continued evolution of.
- 7:45Speaker 1: The Toyota brand.
- 7:47Speaker 3: And how they envision things and commitment to dealers. You know,
- 7:52Speaker 3: that's the neat thing. Great entertainment, too. We saw Lenny
- 7:57Speaker 3: Kravitz the first night.
- 7:59Speaker 1: Oh, wow.
- 7:59Speaker 3: And Jim Gaffigan was the host of the thing.
- 8:04Speaker 1: Oh, my. Isn't that cool?
- 8:07Speaker 4: That would be very cool.
- 8:08Speaker 1: You got paid to see these guys? This is great.
- 8:11Speaker 1: Where do we sign up, man? Well, front row, too. Oh,
- 8:14Speaker 1: my gosh.
- 8:15Speaker 3: Got seats in the front row. And so we said, okay,
- 8:19Speaker 3: here he comes. Kim was very strategic in this.
- 8:23Speaker 1: Smart lady. We rush up to.
- 8:25Speaker 3: The stage so we can see what's going on. Lenny
- 8:29Speaker 3: was quite entertaining.
- 8:32Speaker 1: I bet. He was quite a rocker. That's awesome.
- 8:39Speaker 3: The next day they had the business meeting where they
- 8:42Speaker 3: go into even more detail on production and flow. Lots
- 8:46Speaker 3: of talk on the dealer's side. is availability. We still
- 8:55Speaker 3: can't build enough Toyotas to meet demand. It's better than
- 9:00Speaker 3: having too many, but it's a problem. We're growing it
- 9:05Speaker 3: done just as fast as I think it's possible, to
- 9:09Speaker 3: be honest. We've been up as high as 30 or
- 9:10Speaker 3: 40 percent, 25 at the lowest this year over last year,
- 9:12Speaker 3: and The only thing that's limiting us is the inventory,
- 9:21Speaker 3: being able to earn more cars. The truth is everybody's
- 9:25Speaker 3: kind of, it's a per capita thing where the larger
- 9:29Speaker 3: dealers are still turning just as fast as we are virtually.
- 9:35Speaker 3: We just got to keep going. I think I'm really
- 9:38Speaker 3: excited by the opportunity there and how fast we are growing.
- 9:42Speaker 3: I think there's a case to be made that based
- 9:47Speaker 3: on Besides the dealer we are, we're growing faster than anybody.
- 9:50Speaker 1: Else in our entire region.
- 9:51Speaker 4: In and out. In and out.
- 9:53Speaker 3: Some dealers, if there's a facility action or ownership change,
- 9:58Speaker 3: you get more cars and We built the building pretty recently,
- 10:05Speaker 3: so I'm not going to build a new one just
- 10:06Speaker 3: to get more cars.
- 10:09Speaker 1: We've got this great.
- 10:10Speaker 3: Business model going where we focus on customers and try
- 10:15Speaker 3: to sell the car the way you want to buy it.
- 10:17Speaker 3: Straightforward pricing. non-commissioned sales team, less pressure, more focus on
- 10:23Speaker 3: your needs, and just keeping it simple is what we
- 10:26Speaker 3: call it. And it just keeps giving back to us.
- 10:31Speaker 3: It's working. I hear from customers all the time. It
- 10:35Speaker 3: was the Best purchase experience they've ever had.
- 10:38Speaker 4: Can vouch for that.
- 10:39Speaker 1: Thank you. I can vouch for that. That is your
- 10:41Speaker 1: Crown Signia.
- 10:42Speaker 4: I love my Crown Signia. That was not what I intended.
- 10:45Speaker 1: No, I know. It was a switch, wasn't it? It
- 10:47Speaker 1: was a switch. It surprised you with that.
- 10:49Speaker 4: But, boy, what a vehicle. I absolutely love it. They're awesome.
- 10:54Speaker 4: I was all set for my RAV4. I had it built.
- 10:57Speaker 4: I was ready to order it. Surprise.
- 11:01Speaker 3: A lot of people don't know what a Crown Signia is.
- 11:04Speaker 3: It's kind of a thing. There's fewer of those produced.
- 11:07Speaker 3: The RAV4 is our best-selling model. I think right now
- 11:12Speaker 3: we've been through a whole model change, so it kind
- 11:15Speaker 3: of dipped for a bit there. But we've got 10
- 11:17Speaker 3: or 12 in stock or on the way here right now,
- 11:20Speaker 3: so the RAV4 is starting to get much more available
- 11:24Speaker 3: than it was. But they're still turning so fast. All
- 11:29Speaker 3: those that we have will either pre-sell or sell within
- 11:33Speaker 3: a few days of getting on the lot. But the
- 11:37Speaker 3: Crown Signia is that there's people that will remember the Avalon,
- 11:40Speaker 3: and the Crown replaced the Avalon as kind of the
- 11:45Speaker 3: top-tier sedan.
- 11:46Speaker 1: In Toyota world.
- 11:49Speaker 3: And the Signia is the small SUV version of that vehicle.
- 11:55Speaker 4: Oh, I love it. It's wonderful. It's absolutely wonderful.
- 11:59Speaker 2: It's comfortable, luxury, does everything you could possibly want a
- 12:03Speaker 2: car to do and more.
- 12:04Speaker 1: 1.8. I switched cars a few weeks ago from my Land.
- 12:08Speaker 3: Cruiser into a 4Runner because I'm kind of trying them
- 12:12Speaker 3: all out.
- 12:13Speaker 1: That's not the purpose of it. We try to keep
- 12:17Speaker 1: the vehicles turning. When we buy one, we put it in.
- 12:21Speaker 3: I keep it in as an asset for six months,
- 12:25Speaker 3: and that way we can. It helps build our inventory
- 12:28Speaker 3: a little bit.
- 12:29Speaker 4: Well, I think it helps with knowledge, too.
- 12:32Speaker 1: Oh, definitely.
- 12:33Speaker 4: And I had not been serving.
- 12:35Speaker 3: A 4Runner much since the new model came out.
- 12:37Speaker 1: And I tell you, I love it.
- 12:39Speaker 3: It is one of the best SUVs I've ever driven.
- 12:43Speaker 1: It's got great tech.
- 12:45Speaker 3: Not to take anything away from Sequoia and Land Cruiser,
- 12:48Speaker 3: but it has the latest stuff. Everything is dialed in.
- 12:52Speaker 3: Everything continues to evolve with it. Safety stuff, the lane keeping,
- 12:59Speaker 3: it's got some senses. When you've got traffic up ahead
- 13:07Speaker 3: of you, it senses and kind.
- 13:08Speaker 4: Of slows you down.
- 13:10Speaker 1: Adjusts your speed.
- 13:11Speaker 4: Yeah, I don't know that I like that.
- 13:12Speaker 3: Well, it takes a minute to get used to, but
- 13:15Speaker 3: you think about over time.
- 13:17Speaker 4: You know, millions of miles driven.
- 13:19Speaker 3: With thousands or millions of people driving. It's going to
- 13:23Speaker 3: prevent accidents.
- 13:23Speaker 4: Yes, it definitely does.
- 13:26Speaker 3: We all don't want to give up control, but it's
- 13:29Speaker 3: not that. You can still accelerate if you want, but
- 13:34Speaker 3: it's not advisable in the oncoming traffic.
- 13:38Speaker 2: It did.
- 13:38Speaker 4: It saved me on the turnpike. I wasn't paying attention.
- 13:42Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 13:43Speaker 4: It slowed me.
- 13:44Speaker 2: Down, thankfully. Oh, wow.
- 13:46Speaker 3: And that's what we coach our people is, you know,
- 13:49Speaker 3: most of it can be turned off.
- 13:50Speaker 4: Yeah, you can.
- 13:51Speaker 3: But, you know, so I always tell people, yeah, turn
- 13:56Speaker 3: it off if it's really bothering you.
- 13:58Speaker 4: Yeah, but it's a great safety feature.
- 14:01Speaker 1: And see if you can get used to it because
- 14:03Speaker 1: it really is.
- 14:05Speaker 3: Toyota's vision for that is not that the cars are
- 14:07Speaker 3: going to drive themselves at this point, but that the
- 14:11Speaker 3: cars can help you drive and make sure you are
- 14:14Speaker 3: safe and not back into things, not running over something
- 14:19Speaker 3: in ways that they just couldn't before.
- 14:22Speaker 2: So....
- 14:26Speaker 3: We're proud to have you on again to talk about
- 14:29Speaker 3: Hopestone and Dad's Walk, which is coming up again.
- 14:33Speaker 4: Our big event, Dad's Walk.
- 14:36Speaker 1: I still know a lot of people don't know what
- 14:38Speaker 1: that is.
- 14:39Speaker 2: So Dad's Walk is a three-day event. It starts in Claremore, Oklahoma,
- 14:46Speaker 2: and we finish up in Copan. And so the first
- 14:52Speaker 2: day we walk from Claremore to Noata. Um, we'll be
- 14:56Speaker 2: having an event that evening at trips, um, with some
- 15:02Speaker 2: entertainment and food and things like that. The following morning
- 15:06Speaker 2: they get up, Hope Stone will bring them breakfast courtesy
- 15:10Speaker 2: of Price's Meat Market. Um, And then they take off
- 15:15Speaker 2: from Nowada and we walk to Bartlesville. We'll stop along
- 15:19Speaker 2: the way. Chick-fil-A is going to give us lunch and
- 15:22Speaker 2: HTO is.
- 15:23Speaker 4: Going to give us tea. So they're going to feed
- 15:25Speaker 4: our walkers.
- 15:27Speaker 2: And then we walk from our lunch spot into Bartlesville.
- 15:32Speaker 4: The really exciting thing is this year.
- 15:35Speaker 2: The auction, live and silent auction, will be held at Hopestone.
- 15:41Speaker 1: Oh, great.
- 15:42Speaker 2: So we're going to be partnering with Cooper Mill.
- 15:46Speaker 4: We're going to close off the street.
- 15:48Speaker 2: The city has helped us to work through that process
- 15:51Speaker 2: of closing Dewey.
- 15:54Speaker 4: Is it Dewey? I think it's Dewey. Between Frank Phillips
- 15:57Speaker 4: and 2nd.
- 15:59Speaker 2: So we'll have a nice reception there, you know, with
- 16:04Speaker 2: Cooper Mill, and we're going to have some food trucks,
- 16:09Speaker 2: the Jane Phillips Medical Center, and.
- 16:14Speaker 4: My husband, you know, I always reel him in. He's
- 16:16Speaker 4: a hard worker.
- 16:17Speaker 2: And the Heidorns are going to be pulling together that event. Yeah,
- 16:23Speaker 2: the hospital has been fantastic with helping us to make
- 16:27Speaker 2: sure that we can do this event.
- 16:31Speaker 4: Financially.
- 16:32Speaker 2: And so big, the auction items are just amazing.
- 16:39Speaker 4: Amazing.
- 16:40Speaker 1: I know they were last year.
- 16:41Speaker 2: Oh, yeah.
- 16:42Speaker 4: Guy Fieri's, silent auction downstairs. And then.
- 16:48Speaker 1: Which is a great facility.
- 16:50Speaker 4: It is. And that was actually Dwayne's idea.
- 16:54Speaker 2: He said, you know, hey, let's get people actually into
- 16:57Speaker 2: Hopestone and So they can actually see it.
- 17:01Speaker 4: You know, we tell them.
- 17:03Speaker 2: About, oh, yes, they have wigs and all the supplies
- 17:06Speaker 2: you need. They provide nutritional and food and drinks and
- 17:11Speaker 2: all that kind of stuff. They have exercise classes. They
- 17:14Speaker 2: have support group. They have meal program. You know, they
- 17:17Speaker 2: give gas cards. They help with airlines. They help hotel stays.
- 17:22Speaker 4: So we do all these things. But he said, let's
- 17:24Speaker 4: get people actually in there.
- 17:27Speaker 2: So that they can experience the facility and actually see it.
- 17:31Speaker 4: Because it's a totally different thing to hear about it
- 17:35Speaker 4: than when you walk in the door.
- 17:38Speaker 2: You know, we had the CEO at the hospital. He
- 17:41Speaker 2: came down with his team, and he'd never been there.
- 17:46Speaker 2: They had never been there, and they couldn't believe it.
- 17:50Speaker 1: What is it? I mean, you talked about all the
- 17:53Speaker 1: things you do.
- 17:53Speaker 2: Yes.
- 17:54Speaker 3: Hope Stone is a cancer support center.
- 17:57Speaker 1: But in every way you can imagine, I think is
- 18:00Speaker 1: the right way to say that.
- 18:01Speaker 3: If you can think of something that you don't do,
- 18:03Speaker 3: you'll probably figure out.
- 18:05Speaker 4: How to do it. We'll figure out how to do it.
- 18:06Speaker 2: We have people we go and ask for help, you know,
- 18:11Speaker 2: or the community's been fantastic.
- 18:16Speaker 4: You know, Dank's Barbecue's helping us out this year.
- 18:19Speaker 2: Bartlesville Health and Rehab, Bambino's, Painted Horse. um, Chick, obviously Chick-fil-A, HTO,
- 18:28Speaker 2: you know, they all just, uh, the eatery is going
- 18:33Speaker 2: to give us some sweets.
- 18:35Speaker 4: Just, we didn't have anyone say, we can't help you.
- 18:39Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 18:40Speaker 1: It's a community.
- 18:41Speaker 4: So it's, it's just, and that's the, the beauty of it.
- 18:45Speaker 3: As we have, uh, supported Hopestone now for a few years,
- 18:50Speaker 3: and you guys have been the selection in our anniversary charity, uh,
- 18:54Speaker 3: thing yep three times i think.
- 18:57Speaker 4: Uh three yeah three or four yes.
- 18:59Speaker 3: Yeah and yeah that just i mean that's one of
- 19:03Speaker 3: the things is that cancer affects so many people in
- 19:08Speaker 3: our community in our lives i think everybody you ask
- 19:11Speaker 3: the whole audience out there everybody raise your hand if
- 19:13Speaker 3: you're a family or somebody who knows and been impacted
- 19:17Speaker 3: by cancer and virtually everybody raises their hand they do
- 19:21Speaker 3: But you don't, it's not something you broadcast, of course.
- 19:24Speaker 1: Right, right. And then when you need it, you.
- 19:26Speaker 3: Know, you're in the middle of something, you know, that
- 19:30Speaker 3: you need to focus on. And you guys are there
- 19:33Speaker 3: to help them with that. But so many people are,
- 19:35Speaker 3: you know, you've helped so many.
- 19:38Speaker 4: People through the years now.
- 19:39Speaker 1: I mean, is there a way to.
- 19:41Speaker 4: Thank God.
- 19:41Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 19:42Speaker 4: Thank God.
- 19:43Speaker 2: You know, and it is, it's all, so we don't
- 19:46Speaker 2: get any government funding and we aren't part of.
- 19:50Speaker 4: United Way or anything like that.
- 19:53Speaker 2: The concept of Hope Stone is strictly people helping people.
- 19:58Speaker 4: And that's the beauty of it.
- 20:00Speaker 2: You know, all the donations, we're a volunteer organization. All
- 20:04Speaker 2: the donations go right back into the programs and So
- 20:08Speaker 2: that we're able to, you know, if we have somebody
- 20:11Speaker 2: who comes in and they're like, there's nothing left for
- 20:15Speaker 2: me here. They run out of options, treatment options. You know,
- 20:19Speaker 2: my doctor says I need to go to MD Anderson.
- 20:23Speaker 2: They might have something or Mayo Clinic. Okay, let's make
- 20:27Speaker 2: a reservation. Let's make a plane reservation. Let's get you
- 20:32Speaker 2: booked into a hotel and let's get you there and
- 20:34Speaker 2: see what.
- 20:34Speaker 4: The doctor says. You know?
- 20:38Speaker 2: And that's all through people. That's all through people's donations.
- 20:45Speaker 2: You know, we're just a pass-through.
- 20:47Speaker 4: We don't do it. I just make the reservation. I
- 20:51Speaker 4: just cook the meals.
- 20:53Speaker 2: I just make sure that they're on the prescription program.
- 20:57Speaker 2: You know, the MedCare pharmacy takes care of all of that.
- 21:02Speaker 2: So it truly.
- 21:04Speaker 4: Is a people helping people program. organization, which I think
- 21:09Speaker 4: is so unique.
- 21:11Speaker 1: And it's Bartlesville's own.
- 21:13Speaker 4: Yeah, it is. It's unique to Bartlesville. It is.
- 21:17Speaker 2: We have an endowment through the Community Foundation. So....
- 21:23Speaker 4: Which I feel great about because that.
- 21:25Speaker 2: Helps to just make sure that it's going to continue
- 21:29Speaker 2: into the future.
- 21:30Speaker 4: It is so important.
- 21:31Speaker 1: In the nonprofit world.
- 21:32Speaker 4: Cancer's not going anywhere, unfortunately.
- 21:34Speaker 3: And it gives you that confidence to keep going.
- 21:39Speaker 2: Yes.
- 21:39Speaker 3: And not have to be desperate in fundraising and all that,
- 21:42Speaker 3: which is so important.
- 21:44Speaker 1: You have to have confidence.
- 21:45Speaker 2: We do have to do the fundraising, and Dad's Walk
- 21:47Speaker 2: is our biggest fundraiser.
- 21:49Speaker 4: And so getting back to that.
- 21:51Speaker 3: Yeah, because we left off when you guys were in
- 21:53Speaker 3: Bartlesville having an auction. Yes.
- 21:56Speaker 1: What happens next?
- 21:56Speaker 4: Having an auction and fun.
- 21:58Speaker 2: And then on Saturday morning, we get up and a
- 22:03Speaker 2: Passed Independence crew will come in and serve breakfast at
- 22:07Speaker 2: Hopestone to our walkers. And they will walk from Bartlesville
- 22:13Speaker 2: up to Copan. And so then there's a big barbecue
- 22:19Speaker 2: music event at Hope Stone or at Copan Garage.
- 22:27Speaker 1: Which in itself is such a unique organization.
- 22:30Speaker 4: A unique experience.
- 22:31Speaker 1: It's not just a garage.
- 22:32Speaker 4: No, it is not a garage.
- 22:34Speaker 1: Do they fix cars?
- 22:35Speaker 4: No, not really. No, that's not what they do there.
- 22:38Speaker 4: Although they'll pull you out of a ditch.
- 22:40Speaker 2: But a huge music event. Fantastic entertainment they have. bands
- 22:46Speaker 2: coming in from all over the country to.
- 22:50Speaker 4: Entertain. They've been coming for years.
- 22:53Speaker 2: You know, and all the hotels in the area have
- 22:55Speaker 2: helped us out. You know, the Holiday Inn Express, the
- 23:00Speaker 2: Homeplace Suites, the Fairfield.
- 23:03Speaker 4: Inn, the Hilton.
- 23:04Speaker 2: You know, they've all helped us out to make sure
- 23:06Speaker 2: we can get good accommodations for these people.
- 23:10Speaker 4: So it's just so cool because it's just the whole community.
- 23:14Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 23:14Speaker 4: Coming together to do this. That's wonderful. You know, so
- 23:19Speaker 4: we're really excited. We're so, so grateful.
- 23:23Speaker 1: And the date, when is it?
- 23:26Speaker 4: It is, so it starts October 15th.
- 23:28Speaker 2: Our event here in Bartlesville is on the 16th.
- 23:32Speaker 4: And then up in Copan on the 17th.
- 23:36Speaker 1: Awesome.
- 23:36Speaker 2: And he usually has some kind of a service on
- 23:38Speaker 2: Sunday morning for the people that camp.
- 23:41Speaker 4: And people come from all over, honestly, the world. You know,
- 23:45Speaker 4: we have Australia, Ireland, England.
- 23:47Speaker 1: Do you get any tickets? How do you get in?
- 23:49Speaker 4: So you go on to CobrianGarage.com. We ask that you
- 23:53Speaker 4: go on.
- 23:53Speaker 2: If you're going to walk any part of the walk
- 23:56Speaker 2: with us, you need to sign a release form. That's
- 23:59Speaker 2: on Copian Garage that you register that you're going to
- 24:03Speaker 2: come to the auction. So we know about how many
- 24:06Speaker 2: people to expect, food, drinks, that kind of stuff. And
- 24:10Speaker 2: then your ticket to the barbecue, you buy a ticket
- 24:16Speaker 2: to the barbecue, and that includes your music experience as well.
- 24:22Speaker 2: So it's all on the copiangarage.com. There's a link on
- 24:29Speaker 2: Hope Stone's page. There's a link on Paths to Independence page. So, yeah,
- 24:35Speaker 2: it's just I'm really excited this year, and hopefully it's
- 24:39Speaker 2: not going to rain on us.
- 24:41Speaker 4: It's rained for the last two years, but we have
- 24:44Speaker 4: a lot of people here.
- 24:46Speaker 2: You know, just praying it doesn't rain on us this year.
- 24:49Speaker 4: But if it does, it does. The show goes on.
- 24:52Speaker 4: It does go on.
- 24:53Speaker 2: The show goes on, and we figure it out along
- 24:57Speaker 2: the way. Dwayne is fantastic at shooting from the hip,
- 25:00Speaker 2: and that's my favorite thing, too. Me and plans don't
- 25:04Speaker 2: always work out, but we just do.
- 25:07Speaker 1: Whatever we have to do. Make a plan, but then
- 25:08Speaker 1: you learn to adjust.
- 25:09Speaker 2: So they can go on to www.hoopstonecancer.org.
- 25:17Speaker 4: And see what's going on.
- 25:18Speaker 2: Our Facebook page, Copain Garage Facebook page, Past Independence, I'm
- 25:26Speaker 2: sure they have it on their page as well. But
- 25:29Speaker 2: it's just a huge, wonderful event. There's some posters up.
- 25:32Speaker 2: There's QR codes. People can choose which organization they want
- 25:37Speaker 2: their donation to go to by just.
- 25:39Speaker 4: Scanning the barcode or both.
- 25:42Speaker 2: They can do, you know, part to both. That way
- 25:46Speaker 2: everything just goes directly to the organization. We don't have
- 25:49Speaker 2: to worry about cash and checks, things like that. But,
- 25:53Speaker 2: of course, people, you know, we're happy to take your
- 25:57Speaker 2: money and put it to good use. But, yeah.
- 26:03Speaker 4: It's just really cool.
- 26:04Speaker 1: We're super excited.
- 26:05Speaker 3: What a great event.
- 26:07Speaker 1: And we're excited to help you promote it.
- 26:10Speaker 3: And hope everybody out there, if you don't have anything
- 26:13Speaker 3: going on those days, come get some great barbecue. That
- 26:19Speaker 3: event on Saturday is.
- 26:21Speaker 2: Going to be really amazing.
- 26:23Speaker 4: Friday, we raise a lot of money. We raise a
- 26:25Speaker 4: lot of money.
- 26:26Speaker 1: That's the big moneymaker. Uh-huh.
- 26:29Speaker 3: There's kind of a lot of room for folks out
- 26:31Speaker 3: there and go to the website, get more details on
- 26:35Speaker 3: times and, and, and sign up to the various programs
- 26:40Speaker 3: you want.
- 26:40Speaker 1: To participate in.
- 26:41Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 26:42Speaker 4: So it's great. We're excited.
- 26:45Speaker 1: And we appreciate everything you do.
- 26:47Speaker 4: Thank you.
- 26:48Speaker 1: Thank you for coming to help us make a good
- 26:50Speaker 1: radio show again.
- 26:51Speaker 4: And, Thank you for your donation. Appreciate that. You're always
- 26:55Speaker 4: there to support us, and we really do appreciate it.
- 26:57Speaker 3: We love to support great things in Bartlesville. That's kind
- 27:01Speaker 3: of our calling, I think. We do it out of
- 27:05Speaker 3: our hearts because you do a great job.
- 27:09Speaker 1: Where can we find you every day, Brad? Well, at 19.
- 27:22Speaker 1: I don't know. I don't know.
