- 0:00Speaker 1: No, buddy, and I do mean nobody does it like
- 0:02Speaker 1: your early well he praise party. I am Sherry Mackie.
- 0:05Speaker 1: It is time right now for today's word. God is
- 0:11Speaker 1: working in the silent seasons. God is still working in
- 0:16Speaker 1: the silent seasons. Psalms thirty seven seven says be still
- 0:20Speaker 1: in the presence of the Lord and wait patiently for
- 0:23Speaker 1: him to act. You know, one of the most difficult
- 0:26Speaker 1: seasons in life is the season when it seems like
- 0:28Speaker 1: nothing is happening. You've prayed, you've believed, you remain faithful,
- 0:32Speaker 1: Yet Heaven feels quiet, the opportunities having come, the doors
- 0:37Speaker 1: haven't opened, the answers haven't arrived. It can leave you wondering, God,
- 0:41Speaker 1: have you forgotten about me? David understood what that felt
- 0:44Speaker 1: like long before he wore a crown. He wore a
- 0:47Speaker 1: shepherd's robe, before he led a nation. He led sheep.
- 0:51Speaker 1: Even after the prophet Samuel anointed him to become the
- 0:54Speaker 1: next king of Israel, David didn't immediately step into that palace. No,
- 0:58Speaker 1: he went right back to the shepherds field. Day after
- 1:01Speaker 1: day he faithfully cared for his father's sheep while the
- 1:04Speaker 1: promise God had spoken seemed to be standing still. But
- 1:08Speaker 1: see those quiet years, they were not wasted. The shepherd's
- 1:12Speaker 1: field became David's classroom. It was there that he learned
- 1:16Speaker 1: to trust God when no one was watching. It was
- 1:19Speaker 1: there that he developed courage to fight lions and bears.
- 1:23Speaker 1: It was there that he learned to worship, to pray,
- 1:25Speaker 1: to write the psalms that continue to encourage millions of
- 1:28Speaker 1: people today. While David sought he was tending sheep, God
- 1:32Speaker 1: was developing a king. Come on, Jesus, the same is
- 1:35Speaker 1: true for me and you. If you're in a silent
- 1:38Speaker 1: season today, don't mistake God's silence for God's absence. Just
- 1:42Speaker 1: because you don't see him moving doesn't mean he's not working.
- 1:46Speaker 1: Every prayer you prayed has been heard, every tear you
- 1:50Speaker 1: cried has been collected. Every act of obedience has been
- 1:54Speaker 1: noticed by your heavenly Father. God is never late, and
- 1:58Speaker 1: he's never idle. Often we think God is preparing the
- 2:02Speaker 1: blessing for us, But many times the blessing is already prepared,
- 2:05Speaker 1: and he's preparing us. The greater work is that God
- 2:09Speaker 1: is preparing us to handle what we've been praying for.
- 2:12Speaker 1: He's building your character before he increases your influence. He's
- 2:16Speaker 1: strengthening your faith before he expands your territory. He's teaching
- 2:21Speaker 1: you to trust him in private before he promotes you
- 2:24Speaker 1: in public. So don't despise the quiet season. Stay faithful
- 2:28Speaker 1: when no one is applauding, Keep serving when no one
- 2:31Speaker 1: is recognizing you. Keep worshiping when your circumstances having changed.
- 2:35Speaker 1: Keep believing when the promises seemed delayed. The silence is
- 2:38Speaker 1: not a sign that God has forgotten about you. It
- 2:41Speaker 1: is often the place where God does his deepest work.
- 2:45Speaker 1: Your season of preparation is leading to your season of promotion.
- 2:48Speaker 1: And when a God's upoint in time arrives what He
- 2:52Speaker 1: has prepared for you will be worse every moment you
- 2:55Speaker 1: spend waiting. Stay patient, stay faithful, stay expectant. Your quiet
- 2:59Speaker 1: season is producing a glorious future. Come on, Jesus Father,
- 3:03Speaker 1: thank you that even when life seems quiet, you're always
- 3:06Speaker 1: at work on our behalf. Thank you that every delay
- 3:09Speaker 1: has a purpose. In every season of waiting, it's preparing
- 3:11Speaker 1: us for what you have planned. To help us. God
- 3:15Speaker 1: not to become discouraged when we don't see immediate results.
- 3:18Speaker 1: Teach us to trust your time and to remain faithful
- 3:21Speaker 1: in the ordinary, and to keep our hearts anchored in
- 3:23Speaker 1: your promises. Oh God, we believe that you're developing our characters,
- 3:27Speaker 1: strengthening our faith, in preparing us for blessings greater than
- 3:30Speaker 1: we can imagine. We will be still, we will wait patiently,
- 3:34Speaker 1: and we will trust that you're always right on time.
- 3:37Speaker 1: In Jesus' name, that's your word for today, and take
- 3:40Speaker 1: it applied to your everyday life and you continue to
- 3:42Speaker 1: be encouraged to and inspired. It's your early what it
