- 0:02Speaker 1: And what also will put me in a good mood
- 0:05Speaker 1: is I sort of won but really kind of lost
- 0:07Speaker 1: a lot of bets yesterday with the big game, Angie
- 0:11Speaker 1: and I had a little bit of fun with some
- 0:14Speaker 1: prop bets, yes for the football game yesterday. Would you
- 0:18Speaker 1: like to hear how these results went, Angie?
- 0:21Speaker 2: I would. I did know one for sure that I lost,
- 0:25Speaker 2: and I even posted on the big ninety ferents on
- 0:27Speaker 2: Facebook page about it because I know that I had
- 0:29Speaker 2: bet you a dollar for one of Gabe Gladon's dollars
- 0:33Speaker 2: that they would show was it Alcatraz before they showed
- 0:36Speaker 2: the Golden gate Bridge? Yep, absolutely not. They focused so
- 0:41Speaker 2: hard on that Golden gate Bridge to say the game
- 0:44Speaker 2: was going on in the bay. So I know I
- 0:46Speaker 2: lost that one.
- 0:47Speaker 1: Yes, so Golden gate Bridge bet, Angie lost one dollar.
- 0:52Speaker 1: What color would the gatorade be that was thrown on
- 0:54Speaker 1: the winning coach? This is actually kind of funny because
- 0:58Speaker 1: you had said blue eyes said orange? Uh, And it
- 1:02Speaker 1: ended up being the color we made fun of, which
- 1:04Speaker 1: was like a greenish yellow. Yeah, the worst flavor I
- 1:08Speaker 1: think of the gay raid, but Angie Chow's blue. Sadly,
- 1:12Speaker 1: she lost another dollar.
- 1:14Speaker 2: My gosh, I'm down two bucks. Okay.
- 1:16Speaker 1: Now, I don't know if the full one results have
- 1:20Speaker 1: come out just yet, but very safe to say it
- 1:24Speaker 1: was more than this. I do know that from the
- 1:26Speaker 1: early reports here, how many people would win the super
- 1:29Speaker 1: Bowl or win? How many people would watch the super Bowl?
- 1:31Speaker 1: Would it be more than one hundred and eighteen point
- 1:34Speaker 1: five million? Well, we have early reports that are talking
- 1:37Speaker 1: like one thirty something. Yeah, I am safe to say,
- 1:42Speaker 1: I'm safe to concede that bet. You have won, all right,
- 1:45Speaker 1: and so right now you only owe me two bucks. Okay, okay. Now,
- 1:50Speaker 1: the final one of our prop bets was would bad
- 1:54Speaker 1: Bunny show off some nip? And we cleaned it up
- 1:59Speaker 1: and said bare chest, Well that did not happen, Angie,
- 2:03Speaker 1: you owe me three bucks from our prop bets yesterday.
- 2:07Speaker 2: I don't like it. I don't want to give you
- 2:09Speaker 2: three dollars. However, there was one more bet that took place.
- 2:15Speaker 2: It wasn't a prop bet, it was a major bet,
- 2:17Speaker 2: and it was who would win it.
- 2:22Speaker 3: Or lost?
- 2:22Speaker 2: No over under just who would win. I chose the
- 2:26Speaker 2: Seahawks to be the winners. Gabe chose the Patriots to win.
- 2:32Speaker 3: I don't know if I chose.
- 2:33Speaker 2: By default, and so here were the stakes. If the Seahawks, sorry,
- 2:40Speaker 2: I'll start with the Patriots. If the Patriots had won,
- 2:45Speaker 2: I would have had to change my phone background to
- 2:49Speaker 2: be a selfie of Gamee, a.
- 2:51Speaker 3: Wonderful picture of my face, of.
- 2:54Speaker 2: His choosing, he could make it as cringey and awful
- 2:57Speaker 2: as he wanted to. But if the Seahawks won, he
- 3:02Speaker 2: would have to grow out his hair until baby Glidden
- 3:07Speaker 2: is born. And let me tell you call me Rumpelstiltskin
- 3:12Speaker 2: because I want that hair year.
- 3:13Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 3:13Speaker 2: No Seahawks one, which means you have to grow out
- 3:17Speaker 2: those luscious locks. Rapunzel.
- 3:19Speaker 1: No more buzzing my hair, you know, every three weeks,
- 3:22Speaker 1: what have you.
- 3:23Speaker 3: We just have to grow it out now.
- 3:25Speaker 1: Angie and I did talk a little bit about this
- 3:27Speaker 1: part off the air, you know, when it gets to
- 3:29Speaker 1: that weird goofy awkward length. Okay, we have to be
- 3:33Speaker 1: sometimes on camera here at ninety eight point seven, so
- 3:36Speaker 1: she will allow me to get a trim or two,
- 3:39Speaker 1: but I can't really shorten it.
- 3:41Speaker 2: No, you can't short a trim to like shape it.
- 3:43Speaker 2: That's fine, that's allowed because we can't have you looking
- 3:47Speaker 2: like Carol Brady. Okay, right, but no, you're growing that
- 3:51Speaker 2: hair out and I'm very excited. I've been wanting you
- 3:53Speaker 2: to grow it out forever.
- 3:55Speaker 3: You think you're doing me a favor, that's what I
- 3:57Speaker 3: really do.
- 3:58Speaker 2: I am doing you a favor. You look great with
- 4:00Speaker 2: long hair.
- 4:00Speaker 3: Game.
- 4:01Speaker 1: We have someone who works at the front desk. Her
- 4:04Speaker 1: name is Genevieve, and we had told her about our
- 4:07Speaker 1: bet going on and she was like, well, I need
- 4:08Speaker 1: to have the Seahawks win too, Actually, Angie, you might
- 4:11Speaker 1: be doing GABA service. And I didn't like how you
- 4:14Speaker 1: two were like, oh yeah, we are you calling me ugly?
- 4:18Speaker 2: No, I think you're a handsome man. However, if you
- 4:23Speaker 2: have a full head of hair, you got to take
- 4:26Speaker 2: advantage and really show that off, okay before it recedes
- 4:30Speaker 2: and goes away.
- 4:31Speaker 1: Yeah all right, So no haircuts for me until baby
- 4:34Speaker 1: g arrives and I will be collecting that three dollars.
- 4:37Speaker 3: Okay, don't think you're skin.
- 4:39Speaker 4: I was hoping you'd forget celebrating life's little victories.
- 4:48Speaker 5: Every morning we practice gratitude on Big ninety eight point seven.
- 4:52Speaker 3: If I could, I would keep this feeling in a basket.
- 4:54Speaker 2: Joke busted out when it was someone's acting hard.
- 4:57Speaker 5: Sure your little victories with us one two eighth.
- 5:02Speaker 3: Seven kids, I also needed to win that day.
- 5:05Speaker 1: Well, congratulations to Melissa. She told us about her little
- 5:08Speaker 1: victory at seven oh one two eight zero one nine
- 5:11Speaker 1: eight seven.
- 5:12Speaker 3: She said she followed a recipe to cook.
- 5:15Speaker 1: For Super Bowl food yesterday and it actually turned out
- 5:19Speaker 1: pretty okay, excellent. It's wonderful when you try to make
- 5:22Speaker 1: something that you maybe don't have a ton of experience with,
- 5:25Speaker 1: or you have to follow a recipe and you get that,
- 5:27Speaker 1: you know, that little anxiety.
- 5:29Speaker 3: We're like, well, am I am I doing this? Writer?
- 5:31Speaker 3: If I completely wasted forty five minutes of mind?
- 5:33Speaker 2: Yeah, well, you know what. Good on you, Melissa, because
- 5:35Speaker 2: I had an experience where it didn't turn out that way,
- 5:39Speaker 2: and I think about it all the time.
- 5:41Speaker 1: That's usually most of my experience. Okay, Angie, do you
- 5:44Speaker 1: have a little victory for us today?
- 5:45Speaker 2: I do, And it's kind of like seeing now you
- 5:50Speaker 2: know what it feels like type of deal. So I
- 5:53Speaker 2: had a breast reduction a couple of weeks ago, and
- 5:55Speaker 2: recovery is hard, and so I haven't been cleaning the house.
- 6:00Speaker 2: I can't I can't get up and clean the house
- 6:02Speaker 2: the way I normally would.
- 6:04Speaker 3: Maybe at least not with the same gust.
- 6:05Speaker 2: Now with the same gusto, I get very exhausted. And
- 6:08Speaker 2: so Mikey has been keeping the house as tidy as
- 6:12Speaker 2: he can, but yesterday he did like a full on,
- 6:16Speaker 2: I mean really deep clean. Sure, and maybe I don't know.
- 6:20Speaker 2: Two hours later, the kids.
- 6:22Speaker 4: Had already destroyed it all that one comes everywhere, like
- 6:27Speaker 4: leaving things out on the counter, all these things, and
- 6:29Speaker 4: Mikey was like, seriously, I just cleaned, and I got
- 6:33Speaker 4: to say, ah, nah, you know what it's like when
- 6:38Speaker 4: I clean the entire house and you guys immediately mess
- 6:43Speaker 4: it up. And it felt so good to say it
- 6:45Speaker 4: took all the energy I had to say it, and
- 6:48Speaker 4: then I felt great afterwards.
- 6:50Speaker 1: There must have been something in the air pre Super Bowl,
- 6:53Speaker 1: because Corey and I got a bunch of house stuff
- 6:55Speaker 1: done yesterday as well. Yeah, we got the whole place
- 6:58Speaker 1: like vacuumed. I completely eatly changed out all the cat
- 7:01Speaker 1: litter boxes. Okay, we you know, got every single dish
- 7:07Speaker 1: done and what have you. Yeah, there must have been
- 7:08Speaker 1: something in the air because everyone's just kind of waiting
- 7:10Speaker 1: around for that horrid game to start that victory. What's
- 7:16Speaker 1: my little victory actually is from Saturday. It has nothing
- 7:19Speaker 1: to do with yesterday at all. But we were at
- 7:22Speaker 1: West Acres Mall. You myself, my wife Corey was on
- 7:25Speaker 1: hand as they had that. It was like the Giving
- 7:28Speaker 1: Heart State Farmers.
- 7:29Speaker 2: Yeah, the farmers market and the nonprofit expo.
- 7:31Speaker 3: Exactly a great time.
- 7:32Speaker 1: We had a great time walking around and seeing all
- 7:34Speaker 1: of the nonprofits and all that. But there was something
- 7:38Speaker 1: that I purchased on Saturday at the mall that I
- 7:43Speaker 1: used on everything this weekend. And we are talking about
- 7:47Speaker 1: a garlicky kind of hot sauce they have like you know,
- 7:52Speaker 1: you'll see you'll go there and there's like wine vendors
- 7:54Speaker 1: or there are people like pickles or whatever. Someone had
- 7:57Speaker 1: homemade hot sauce or what have you, and it was wonderful.
- 8:01Speaker 1: I will be using that basically every day this week
- 8:04Speaker 1: until it's gone. So it's like I took my fourteen
- 8:07Speaker 1: dollar bill and lit it on fire.
- 8:09Speaker 3: So it is so good. It was well worth the purchase.
- 8:12Speaker 2: I love that I lived for a hot sauce and
- 8:14Speaker 2: I also got hot sauce from that same and I
- 8:17Speaker 2: used it as soon as I got.
- 8:19Speaker 1: I put it on everything. Corey and I ate for
- 8:21Speaker 1: the Super Bowl game yesterday. We had she made this
- 8:25Speaker 1: like egg bake kind of thing that is just incredibly
- 8:28Speaker 1: good that we had. Uh, these like sloppy Joe's that
- 8:31Speaker 1: she uses her I think I told you about these,
- 8:34Speaker 1: but she uses her mom Raight. They're the best sloppy
- 8:37Speaker 1: Joe's in the history of Earth.
- 8:39Speaker 2: Because we made them hot sauce.
- 8:40Speaker 1: Yeah, we made them that one time, and then she
- 8:42Speaker 1: doubled it back and made it again, and I threw
- 8:44Speaker 1: some hot sauce in there. Oh my god. I could
- 8:47Speaker 1: have passed out in the first quarter. It was wonderful.
- 8:51Speaker 2: That's the Patriots did passed out.
- 8:53Speaker 3: They would have had to him shown up.
- 8:55Speaker 1: Okay, I will tell you yesterday or the Big game,
- 9:00Speaker 1: if you were a Seahawks fan, I bet that was
- 9:03Speaker 1: awesome to watch your team basically dominated and controlled the
- 9:07Speaker 1: whole game. And you didn't really dominate either until late
- 9:10Speaker 1: in the game when you had twelve points.
- 9:12Speaker 3: It happened. I will say this.
- 9:15Speaker 1: As a not fan of either team, right, I have
- 9:19Speaker 1: no real horse in the race. Yeah, other than our
- 9:22Speaker 1: goofy little bets here on big ninety eight point seven.
- 9:25Speaker 1: You know, I just had the game on to watch
- 9:26Speaker 1: and see what you.
- 9:27Speaker 2: Know, commercials, baby, that's where.
- 9:29Speaker 3: My head was at.
- 9:30Speaker 1: I will say, including the commercials, that was one of
- 9:36Speaker 1: the worst games I've ever seen at the Super Bowl.
- 9:39Speaker 1: I didn't love the commercials all that much.
- 9:41Speaker 3: You know, some were really cool.
- 9:43Speaker 1: I like the uh the horse who stood over the
- 9:46Speaker 1: little bird and it was a Budweiser commercial.
- 9:49Speaker 2: Oh okay, I missed that one.
- 9:51Speaker 3: I loved it.
- 9:52Speaker 2: There were two standouts for me. The Instacart commercial and
- 9:55Speaker 2: it was Benson Boone and Ben Stiller performing together. Benson
- 9:59Speaker 2: Boone obviously can do flips and stuff, so he does that.
- 10:02Speaker 2: Ben Steeller drives it new falls and that's on a
- 10:06Speaker 2: sucker for a good fall. And then Ben Affleck. Oh,
- 10:10Speaker 2: Ben's really won for me, right, The Ben Affleck Dunkin
- 10:13Speaker 2: Donuts commercial was great.
- 10:15Speaker 1: Yeah, But for me, it just, you know, the game
- 10:18Speaker 1: I thought stunk. It just there was no nothing to
- 10:22Speaker 1: be excited about. Yeah, during the game unless you were
- 10:25Speaker 1: a fan of the Seahawks. I just I remember in
- 10:28Speaker 1: the third quarter. It was halfway through the third quarter,
- 10:31Speaker 1: Corey's like, wow, I'm going to bed.
- 10:32Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 10:33Speaker 1: At about two minutes into the fourth quarter, I was like, wow,
- 10:37Speaker 1: this is over.
- 10:38Speaker 3: Yeah, and I went to bed.
- 10:40Speaker 1: But there are some things that might have happened at
- 10:42Speaker 1: the Super Bowl that you were unaware. Did you miss this? Well,
- 10:45Speaker 1: you probably did because NBC didn't show it. There was
- 10:48Speaker 1: a Super Bowl streaker. There was at the game yesterday. Yeah,
- 10:53Speaker 1: and he didn't go.
- 10:54Speaker 2: He should have showed him. That was way more interesting
- 10:57Speaker 2: than the game.
- 10:57Speaker 1: He didn't go full nude, he had anson, but he
- 11:00Speaker 1: did go shirtless.
- 11:01Speaker 2: Okay, then, especially, why didn't you show it? Yeah, and
- 11:05Speaker 2: NBC missed opportunity.
- 11:07Speaker 3: Yeah, they don't want to encourage people doing it in
- 11:08Speaker 3: the future.
- 11:09Speaker 2: Oh yeah, oops.
- 11:10Speaker 3: Now there is.
- 11:13Speaker 1: There is an internet rumor and this guy might be
- 11:16Speaker 1: a genius. But I have done a little diving and
- 11:18Speaker 1: found out that this bet might be void. But there
- 11:21Speaker 1: is a rumor that this man placed a bet that
- 11:24Speaker 1: there would be a streaker or someone who goes on
- 11:27Speaker 1: the field during the game, and then he went and
- 11:31Speaker 1: did it. So I have read that a lot of times.
- 11:34Speaker 1: If that's like, if you influence that the bet is void.
- 11:38Speaker 2: Oh that's a bummer. So then you're arrested and you
- 11:40Speaker 2: get no money.
- 11:41Speaker 3: Yeah, you lose money? Yeah?
- 11:43Speaker 1: Oh yeah, right, And then also, we ate one point
- 11:49Speaker 1: five billion wings yesterday.
- 11:52Speaker 2: I bet you most of that was that unhinged sports bar.
- 11:55Speaker 3: So many wings and unhinged sports bar.
- 11:58Speaker 1: Also, there was a bird at the game that cost
- 12:03Speaker 1: one hundred eighty dollars.
- 12:06Speaker 2: Did it include the Krabby Patty formula?
- 12:09Speaker 5: What?
- 12:09Speaker 1: Something that like some Filet mignon beef or something just
- 12:14Speaker 1: did with gold?
- 12:15Speaker 3: Yeah? Right?
- 12:16Speaker 1: And then finally there was a person who bet two
- 12:19Speaker 1: hundred and fifty thousand dollars on the coin.
- 12:22Speaker 2: To us, that's an insane amount of money on Wait
- 12:27Speaker 2: did they win?
- 12:28Speaker 3: They won the coin?
- 12:29Speaker 2: Yes? Wait, okay, I was about to trash them for
- 12:32Speaker 2: making that bet. Just kidding.
- 12:33Speaker 3: Good job.
- 12:34Speaker 1: Yeah, so let us know what did you think of
- 12:37Speaker 1: the game yesterday? Seven oh one two eight zero one
- 12:40Speaker 1: nine eight seven? Did your team win? I know we
- 12:42Speaker 1: owe someone some Sandy's donuts. I'm in the middle of
- 12:46Speaker 1: trying to text this justin to see what day we
- 12:49Speaker 1: could bring him on, thinking maybe Friday would just be
- 12:51Speaker 1: kind of a fun way to end the week. Yeah,
- 12:53Speaker 1: what'd you think of the game? Did the team you
- 12:55Speaker 1: were cheering four win? Did the team you were cheering
- 12:58Speaker 1: for sadly lose?
- 12:59Speaker 3: You know?
- 12:59Speaker 1: I remember watching that game thinking, you know, it's a bird,
- 13:02Speaker 1: it's a plane. It New England Patriots should have at
- 13:06Speaker 1: least taken one of those to get to the game.
- 13:08Speaker 3: They didn't get on a bird or a plane.
- 13:10Speaker 2: You know what this makes me think? Okay, I get
- 13:13Speaker 2: it now, Tom Brady, I get it while you were
- 13:15Speaker 2: not reading for the Patriots.
- 13:25Speaker 1: Valentine's Day is coming up this week, and if you
- 13:29Speaker 1: happen to be single, all right, you can still celebrate
- 13:33Speaker 1: Valentine's Day. It just doesn't have to be about a
- 13:35Speaker 1: relationship type of love. You could just have, you know,
- 13:38Speaker 1: a mom you love to death, or a dad, or
- 13:40Speaker 1: a sibling or yeah, friend.
- 13:42Speaker 2: I've always felt that way. Just celebrate love.
- 13:45Speaker 3: That's right. And maybe you do a Gallantines.
- 13:48Speaker 1: You get a bunch of your girlfriends out and you
- 13:49Speaker 1: go have some fun on February thirteenth, fourteen fifth and
- 13:52Speaker 1: whatever day.
- 13:52Speaker 3: It really doesn't matter, but just for some fun.
- 13:55Speaker 1: Because I wanted to see the type of dudes that
- 13:58Speaker 1: you ladies are talking to. I posted on the Big
- 14:01Speaker 1: ninety eight point seven Facebook page. If you're a single lady,
- 14:04Speaker 1: text any man in your life and ask them why
- 14:08Speaker 1: am I single? And share those responses with us here
- 14:12Speaker 1: this morning, and there were some people who did not
- 14:15Speaker 1: disappoint Okay, we have a text from Kayla, who she said,
- 14:20Speaker 1: whoever the guy she was that she asked, He responded,
- 14:23Speaker 1: I am definitely the wrong guy to ask that. I've
- 14:25Speaker 1: been asking myself the same thing for six years now.
- 14:29Speaker 2: Oh wow, all right.
- 14:30Speaker 1: We also had I think her name is Trish. She said,
- 14:34Speaker 1: this man told her because life is more peaceful being single,
- 14:38Speaker 1: she added, nailed it. And then we have Diane. She
- 14:43Speaker 1: texted a guy who was just like, no way lol.
- 14:46Speaker 1: So he was probably surprised she was asking of that question.
- 14:49Speaker 2: Yeah, he probably felt like he was stepping into a track. Yeah.
- 14:52Speaker 1: And before we get to the final one here, Angie,
- 14:55Speaker 1: you're not single, but if you were, which guy would
- 14:59Speaker 1: you tell this too?
- 15:00Speaker 3: Would it be one of your brothers?
- 15:02Speaker 2: My little brother. If I'm a texting, my little brother
- 15:04Speaker 2: is the most what, Well, it might be you, But
- 15:07Speaker 2: my little brother is so wildly honest and brutal and
- 15:11Speaker 2: he doesn't even mean to He's so innocent about it
- 15:14Speaker 2: that if I wanted a true answer, I would have
- 15:17Speaker 2: to ask him.
- 15:17Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 15:18Speaker 2: Well, he probably first would say, because you're ugly and
- 15:20Speaker 2: then he would say a truth.
- 15:22Speaker 3: The real answer. Yeah, you know me.
- 15:24Speaker 1: If you were to text me this question, I would
- 15:27Speaker 1: never give you a real answer.
- 15:28Speaker 2: No, of course no.
- 15:29Speaker 3: I would just give some answer that hypes you up.
- 15:32Speaker 1: No.
- 15:32Speaker 2: Or you would say because you need to face some adversity.
- 15:35Speaker 2: I probably would say you need to face some adversity.
- 15:39Speaker 3: All right, Sarah? Our last one here?
- 15:41Speaker 1: Sarah texted some gentlemen, Hey, why am I single? And
- 15:44Speaker 1: he said, because you're a bit too crazy about the
- 15:48Speaker 1: weirdest bleep? And you know I want to know Sarah?
- 15:51Speaker 1: Can we get a follow up here? At seven oh
- 15:53Speaker 1: one two eight zero one, nine eight seven? Will you
- 15:55Speaker 1: tell us who did you text? Was this a sibling?
- 15:58Speaker 1: Was this a guy friend?
- 15:59Speaker 3: You dad? Who was it?
- 16:01Speaker 1: And if you want to play this game with us
- 16:03Speaker 1: here today, we'd appreciate it. Seven h one two eight
- 16:05Speaker 1: zero one nine eight seven. You could either send a
- 16:07Speaker 1: screenshot or just tell us what they say. Ask any
- 16:10Speaker 1: guy you want in your life, why am I single?
- 16:14Speaker 3: And see what he has to say about you? This
- 16:19Speaker 3: is am I the problem? It's me? Hi, the problem,
- 16:25Speaker 3: it's me. We'll hear one side of the story and
- 16:28Speaker 3: with your help.
- 16:30Speaker 5: Decide if it's right, or if maybe you're the problem,
- 16:34Speaker 5: that's right, I am the problem on Big ninety eight
- 16:37Speaker 5: point seven.
- 16:39Speaker 2: I'm not surprised. With Valentine's Day approaching, it'll be here
- 16:42Speaker 2: on Saturday. We've gotten quite a few submissions dealing with
- 16:46Speaker 2: Valentine's Day. By the way, if you ever have an
- 16:48Speaker 2: am I the problem, you can head to Big nine
- 16:50Speaker 2: eight seven dot com and click the on air tab
- 16:52Speaker 2: and right there you can submit your am I the problem.
- 16:55Speaker 2: Kelly wrote into us. My name is Kelly, and I'm
- 16:58Speaker 2: emailing you because I love it when you give dating
- 17:01Speaker 2: and relationship advice. So my boyfriend and I are celebrating
- 17:05Speaker 2: our first Valentine's Day together. So I've started to remind
- 17:08Speaker 2: him that he needs to shop for me and I'll
- 17:11Speaker 2: shop for him. I want it to be special. And
- 17:13Speaker 2: he has a bad memory because he works so much
- 17:16Speaker 2: and just forgets to do stuff. Like on my birthday,
- 17:18Speaker 2: he was scrambling to pull something together because he didn't
- 17:21Speaker 2: get around to it early enough. Okay, so I keep
- 17:26Speaker 2: reminding him to not forget to make dinner plans and
- 17:30Speaker 2: do a little shopping. He keeps saying that reminding him
- 17:33Speaker 2: is taking the romance away. What do you guys think
- 17:37Speaker 2: am I the problem for reminding him? I just don't
- 17:40Speaker 2: want to be disappointed? Thank you? In advance, Gab and Angie.
- 17:44Speaker 3: Wow likes when we give relationship advice.
- 17:47Speaker 2: Huh yeah, well listen, I'm not gonna question it. We
- 17:51Speaker 2: just got to be there for her, that's right. What
- 17:53Speaker 2: do you think though? Seven oh one to two eight
- 17:55Speaker 2: ozho one nine eight seven text does call us? We
- 17:58Speaker 2: have this also up on the Big ninety eight point
- 18:00Speaker 2: seven Facebook page. I think that Kelly, I hate to
- 18:05Speaker 2: say it, Well, I think you're both the problem. Actually,
- 18:09Speaker 2: I think your guy is the problem because what do
- 18:13Speaker 2: you mean he was scrambling last minute to do something
- 18:16Speaker 2: for your birthday? I don't like that. I think also though, Kelly,
- 18:22Speaker 2: you are the problem in that. I think you're making
- 18:26Speaker 2: excuses for him. You said, well, he has a bad
- 18:29Speaker 2: memory because he works so much and he just forgets
- 18:31Speaker 2: to do stuff. I think you know that he's just
- 18:35Speaker 2: not that invested. If this is your first Valentine's Day together,
- 18:38Speaker 2: then you haven't been together that long, right, right? And
- 18:42Speaker 2: I I don't like it. Am I the problem for
- 18:44Speaker 2: reminding him? Yes? I just don't want to be disappointed.
- 18:48Speaker 2: You're gonna be disappointed if you have to keep telling
- 18:52Speaker 2: the guy to do things to make you happy. He's
- 18:55Speaker 2: not the.
- 18:56Speaker 3: One girl, alright?
- 18:58Speaker 1: Seven oh one eight zero one nine eight seven. What
- 19:02Speaker 1: do you think? I've got a couple thoughts, Angie.
- 19:06Speaker 2: Oh gosh, okay, I can't wait to hear them.
- 19:08Speaker 3: Man, I got them for you.
- 19:09Speaker 1: After Alex Warren, who's on the way here in Big
- 19:11Speaker 1: ninety eight point seven and chime in with us this morning?
- 19:14Speaker 3: Who is the problem here?
- 19:21Speaker 2: Kelly is about to celebrate her first Valentine's Day with
- 19:25Speaker 2: her boyfriend, but because he's a bit of a forgetful dude,
- 19:30Speaker 2: she keeps reminding him, Hey, Valentine's Day is coming up,
- 19:33Speaker 2: make sure to shop, make sure to make dinner reservations.
- 19:36Speaker 2: And finally he's gotten to the point where he said,
- 19:39Speaker 2: you reminding me all the time takes the romance away
- 19:42Speaker 2: from it. So she wants to know she's the problem
- 19:45Speaker 2: for reminding him. The thing is, she just doesn't want
- 19:48Speaker 2: to feel disappointed on the day. I've made my thoughts
- 19:51Speaker 2: very clear. I don't think that he is the one
- 19:54Speaker 2: for her, and I think she's the problem for reminding
- 19:58Speaker 2: him and turning it into this nag because girl, like
- 20:02Speaker 2: if he wanted to, he would, is how I feel.
- 20:05Speaker 2: And so I think you're the problem. Girl. I think
- 20:07Speaker 2: you need to get out. What do you think Gabe as.
- 20:10Speaker 1: A human who also is on the side of a
- 20:15Speaker 1: worst memory of all time? Okay, now, I mean forgetting
- 20:18Speaker 1: Valentine's Day is a bit much. He hasn't forgot it's
- 20:23Speaker 1: Valentine's Day. Maybe forgetting to make dinner reservations, sure, but
- 20:28Speaker 1: he had he hasn't forgot. I promise you that I
- 20:30Speaker 1: don't think you're the problem. I need my wife, not need.
- 20:33Speaker 1: That sounds terrible, but I appreciate when my wife gives
- 20:36Speaker 1: me these reminders until I've done them, and then I'm like, Okay,
- 20:40Speaker 1: we're good, Like it'll be great, YadA, YadA, YadA. Yeah,
- 20:42Speaker 1: So I don't necessarily mind the helpful reminder from time
- 20:46Speaker 1: to time. And then also as a as a dude,
- 20:49Speaker 1: I know exactly what the expectations are, right instead of
- 20:53Speaker 1: me just sort of guessing is this too much?
- 20:56Speaker 3: Is this not enough? Is this right? Somewhere in the middle,
- 20:59Speaker 3: So I don't think she's doing too much. I mean,
- 21:01Speaker 3: she wants to make it a.
- 21:02Speaker 1: Big deal, so she's making it a big deal. I
- 21:04Speaker 1: think he could can and should respect that. Now my
- 21:08Speaker 1: advice too, what's her name, Kelly? Yeah, perfect advice for
- 21:11Speaker 1: you here. Hope for the best, plan for the worst.
- 21:15Speaker 1: It's usually it's usually somewhere in the middle. All right,
- 21:18Speaker 1: take those expectations and just simmer them a tiny bit.
- 21:23Speaker 1: And if he does something that he is proud of
- 21:26Speaker 1: and whatever, I think you should appreciate that. Yeah he doesn't,
- 21:31Speaker 1: you know, rent out Madison Square Garden for you? All right,
- 21:35Speaker 1: I think we're gonna have to just what's the word
- 21:37Speaker 1: taper those expectations. Yeah, thank you, those expectations just a
- 21:41Speaker 1: tiny bit. Now, does that mean this dude should get
- 21:43Speaker 1: away with doing absolutely nothing if you want to have
- 21:45Speaker 1: a good day?
- 21:46Speaker 3: Of course not. This guy's got to do something.
- 21:49Speaker 2: But he wants her to stop saying it because it's
- 21:51Speaker 2: taking the romance.
- 21:53Speaker 1: Well, now that he's made it very clear, he knows, Valentine,
- 21:57Speaker 1: you don't say anything anymore.
- 21:58Speaker 3: He's made it clear.
- 21:59Speaker 2: Yeah. Now if you're disappointed, girl, then you should cut
- 22:02Speaker 2: and run. We did post this to the Big ninety
- 22:05Speaker 2: eight point seven facebook page. David said, no expectations equals
- 22:10Speaker 2: no disappointments.
- 22:11Speaker 3: Wonderful advice.
- 22:13Speaker 2: I think who we have Gosh, people are really chiming in,
- 22:17Speaker 2: Kim said, if it's that important to you, make the
- 22:19Speaker 2: dinner plans. But yes, the nagging would get real old,
- 22:22Speaker 2: real quick with you. Yes, right on. I liked what
- 22:27Speaker 2: Randy had to say, though. Randy is the husband's point
- 22:30Speaker 2: of view. Okay, as a husband that has a terrible,
- 22:34Speaker 2: terrible memory, let's go, well, due to some head injuries. Okay,
- 22:40Speaker 2: you can get a shared calendar app and then put
- 22:44Speaker 2: the important stuff on it. So every time my wife
- 22:47Speaker 2: or I plan something, it goes on the calendar. We
- 22:49Speaker 2: both get an email notification. I cannot tell you how
- 22:53Speaker 2: much strife this has saved. Okay, maybe this is love. Yes,
- 22:57Speaker 2: this is the middle ground. If you can't help yourself, Kelly,
- 23:01Speaker 2: and you don't want to be disappointed, and you know
- 23:03Speaker 2: he's clearly annoyed that you're reminding. This is the middle
- 23:07Speaker 2: ground because it's still a thing, but it's like in
- 23:09Speaker 2: the background, it's unspoken. You don't have to say anything
- 23:11Speaker 2: about it. Well, put everything in that shared calendar app
- 23:15Speaker 2: and make sure the notifications are on.
- 23:17Speaker 1: Randy to the rest, Yes, at ninety eight point seventy
- 23:26Speaker 1: it was a very exciting weekend if you are a
- 23:29Speaker 1: fan of sports and you were watching obviously the Super
- 23:31Speaker 1: Bowl yesterday.
- 23:33Speaker 3: The Olympics is.
- 23:34Speaker 1: Fully underway here, Yes, Swaying and my wife and I
- 23:38Speaker 1: have been watching a lot of the hockey. We've been watching,
- 23:41Speaker 1: you know, some of the snowboarding, and there is this
- 23:45Speaker 1: duo we have gotten full invested in here, fully invested.
- 23:49Speaker 1: We're setting alarms to remember to hey, turn on the
- 23:53Speaker 1: these two are right.
- 23:54Speaker 2: I love this. I love how into it. I'm I
- 23:57Speaker 2: admittedly winter Olympics as much my thing. I'm a Summer
- 24:02Speaker 2: Olympics gal. So I like that you've got Winter Olympics covers.
- 24:05Speaker 1: Yeah, I've always been more of a fan of the
- 24:07Speaker 1: Winter Olympics than the summer. The Summer Olympics are obviously great.
- 24:11Speaker 1: They're awesome, but it's a lot of it happens at
- 24:14Speaker 1: like a track. Yeah, and it just kind of all
- 24:16Speaker 1: looks the same to me at a certain points. But
- 24:20Speaker 1: the Winter Olympics kind of my jam here and my
- 24:22Speaker 1: wife and I have really gotten into cheering on these
- 24:26Speaker 1: two Minnesotans, the USA Mixed doubles curling pair, Corey TC
- 24:31Speaker 1: and Corey Dropkin.
- 24:33Speaker 3: Both of them are named Corey.
- 24:35Speaker 1: My wife is obviously named Corey, so she thinks she's
- 24:37Speaker 1: helping out.
- 24:38Speaker 2: Uh yeah, she obviously is. They can feel her Corey
- 24:41Speaker 2: energy through the screen.
- 24:43Speaker 3: That's right.
- 24:43Speaker 1: And I've been trying to not see anything on this
- 24:46Speaker 1: on the internet today because if I'm not mistaken, they
- 24:49Speaker 1: either play real early here or are going to pretty soon.
- 24:53Speaker 1: And I don't want to see the results until my
- 24:55Speaker 1: wife and I can watch it together when she gets
- 24:57Speaker 1: home from work.
- 24:57Speaker 2: It's very adorable, but they.
- 24:59Speaker 1: Have advanced to the semi finals that they did this
- 25:01Speaker 1: past weekend. Italy finished second in the standings, and earlier
- 25:06Speaker 1: in the competition the US, they sat second with a
- 25:08Speaker 1: four to one record behind the undefeated Great Britain and
- 25:12Speaker 1: then they had top four teams moved to the metal round. Well,
- 25:16Speaker 1: these two made it to the metal round, all right.
- 25:20Speaker 1: They're gonna be competing for a medal after winning two
- 25:22Speaker 1: round robin matches on Sunday to advance. And you best
- 25:26Speaker 1: believe before the big game, my wife and I were
- 25:28Speaker 1: watching these two curl their little hearts out.
- 25:30Speaker 2: I love this also, I want to be invested and
- 25:34Speaker 2: now start watching.
- 25:35Speaker 1: I like this, and you know we're watching the curling
- 25:39Speaker 1: in the Olympics. We don't know jick squat about curling
- 25:43Speaker 1: other than hey, do we have more rocks closer to
- 25:46Speaker 1: the Senate? Yeah.
- 25:48Speaker 2: I feel like curling is one of those you don't
- 25:50Speaker 2: have to super understand it to really enjoy it, because
- 25:53Speaker 2: I've watched curling and I'm just fascinated by the whole process.
- 25:56Speaker 2: But I don't know what anything means.
- 25:57Speaker 3: Yeah, it's wonderful.
- 25:59Speaker 1: And we asked, hey, who has captured your eye or
- 26:02Speaker 1: maybe even captured your heart like these curlers in the
- 26:04Speaker 1: Glinton House for.
- 26:06Speaker 3: The Olympics this year.
- 26:07Speaker 1: Now that the super Bowl is kind of done and
- 26:09Speaker 1: well not kind of done, it is done, who are
- 26:12Speaker 1: you cheering on in the Olympics? And we have to
- 26:14Speaker 1: give a big shout out. And I'm sorry, I don't
- 26:16Speaker 1: know this person's name, but she said, or he said,
- 26:19Speaker 1: they are rooting on the quad God, all right, we
- 26:23Speaker 1: are talking about Iliya malanin. He fell yesterday, this person said,
- 26:28Speaker 1: but in the end threw in some insane jumps and
- 26:30Speaker 1: got him a score over two hundred.
- 26:31Speaker 3: I'll be honest, I don't know anything about figure skating.
- 26:33Speaker 2: I love if ever, I was going to watch something
- 26:36Speaker 2: it's figure skating. So now I found my person. This
- 26:39Speaker 2: is who I'm going to be cheering for.
- 26:41Speaker 1: Ilia Malanin all right, and the United States team for
- 26:45Speaker 1: figure skating one gold over this weekend, that's right, which
- 26:48Speaker 1: I think means we you know, as of this point,
- 26:50Speaker 1: I think we have like two medals and they're both goals.
- 26:53Speaker 2: Yeah, that's true, and we're trailing behind. I don't know
- 26:56Speaker 2: who we're trailing behind.
- 26:57Speaker 3: It like the total metal yeah, but.
- 26:58Speaker 2: The total medal count I need you. We need to
- 27:00Speaker 2: up those numbers.
- 27:01Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 27:02Speaker 1: So who are you invested in for the Olympics. Let
- 27:04Speaker 1: us know at seven oh one two eight zero one
- 27:06Speaker 1: nine eight seven. The United States women hockey team, I
- 27:09Speaker 1: mean they are basically a freight train coming in to
- 27:13Speaker 1: probably play Canada for the gold medal, which is about
- 27:17Speaker 1: how it should go. Yes, and I know the men's
- 27:20Speaker 1: hockey team. They get started in a couple days here
- 27:22Speaker 1: on the eleventh, I believe is when they start. So
- 27:24Speaker 1: I'm gonna be fully invested in that. After watching all
- 27:27Speaker 1: this miracle hockey stuff for the past week.
- 27:29Speaker 2: Okay, I feel like we need to come up with
- 27:31Speaker 2: some like lower stakes Olympic games for us to play.
- 27:37Speaker 3: Oh yeah, like, Yeah, what do you think we could do?
- 27:40Speaker 2: I don't know. Can't we do something like curling but
- 27:43Speaker 2: on a mini scale? What a figure it out?
- 27:46Speaker 1: What if we go to one of those bars where
- 27:47Speaker 1: they have the where you throw the rock across the sound?
- 27:50Speaker 2: Yeah that, let's have our own Winter Olympic board.
- 27:53Speaker 3: All right, Well, we'll see what we can do.
- 27:55Speaker 1: But let us know about your Olympic teams that you're
- 27:59Speaker 1: following here, so Angie and I can get invested in
- 28:01Speaker 1: more Team USA.
- 28:08Speaker 3: We have covered a lot on the Super Bowl.
- 28:10Speaker 1: We talked about the game itself being rather a bit
- 28:12Speaker 1: of a snooze fest, unless you're a Seahawks fan, then
- 28:15Speaker 1: I'm sure it was wonderful. We've talked a lot about
- 28:17Speaker 1: the halftime show. One thing we have not talked about today, Angie,
- 28:22Speaker 1: not really the commercials.
- 28:25Speaker 3: Yes, and I will say, I don't know what it is.
- 28:28Speaker 1: I think the Super Bowl commercials in the last five
- 28:30Speaker 1: years have been rather may.
- 28:35Speaker 3: They're all right, but we know so much about them.
- 28:38Speaker 2: Now, you know what that's true? I think for the game, Yeah,
- 28:41Speaker 2: I think that's why it has been so because you
- 28:45Speaker 2: you know what to expect. I felt very proud of
- 28:48Speaker 2: myself this Super Bowl season that I did my best
- 28:52Speaker 2: to avoid as much as possible any teasers, so I
- 28:57Speaker 2: quite enjoyed watching the commercials. It was two things for me.
- 29:03Speaker 2: There were some commercials that made me bawl my eyes
- 29:06Speaker 2: out because I'm a sensitive little baby, and then there
- 29:10Speaker 2: were ones that really made me laugh. The one I
- 29:12Speaker 2: think that a lot of people are saying was really
- 29:15Speaker 2: great was the Dunkin Donuts commercial that was Ben Affleck
- 29:19Speaker 2: I mean, and it was star studded and it was
- 29:22Speaker 2: him throwing it back like before the actual Goodwill hunting
- 29:26Speaker 2: that came out in theaters. There was a different version allegedly,
- 29:30Speaker 2: and it was like a sitcom version. He brought Steve
- 29:32Speaker 2: Verkele Carlton, Tom Brady was in the commercial. Matt LeBlanc
- 29:37Speaker 2: and Jennifer Aniston were in it. Ted Danson was in it.
- 29:42Speaker 2: Jason Alexander who played George Costanza on Seinfeld Like that
- 29:46Speaker 2: was a very well done, star studied, hilarious commercial, But
- 29:51Speaker 2: nothing else really stuck out as too hilarious to me.
- 29:55Speaker 2: Oh no, there was an Instacart commercial with Ben Stiller
- 29:57Speaker 2: and Benson Boom that was also really good. But then
- 30:01Speaker 2: there's the tear jerker commercials, and I feel like those
- 30:05Speaker 2: are the ones that really get me. And my kids
- 30:08Speaker 2: are always make fun of me because I cry all
- 30:10Speaker 2: the time. Yeah, and Aiden, the older one said, I
- 30:15Speaker 2: don't understand why you cry at good things, because when
- 30:19Speaker 2: something's so good, it could make you cry. So the
- 30:21Speaker 2: one that really got me was I don't even know
- 30:24Speaker 2: what exactly it was a commercial four, but the theme
- 30:28Speaker 2: of the commercial was being a good neighbor. Yeah, not
- 30:31Speaker 2: like state farm good neighbor, being a good neighbor in general.
- 30:34Speaker 2: And it had the theme song to mister Rogers neighborhood.
- 30:38Speaker 2: So I was bawling my eyes out. Yeah that one.
- 30:40Speaker 3: Well.
- 30:40Speaker 1: The price of a thirty second commercial for the Super
- 30:43Speaker 1: Bowl hit an all time high at ten million dollars,
- 30:47Speaker 1: and NBC says they charged an average of eight million,
- 30:51Speaker 1: but a handful of slots were sold for more than ten.
- 30:54Speaker 1: I'd be a little annoyed if I ended up paying
- 30:56Speaker 1: like eleven and a half and someone got in there
- 30:58Speaker 1: for eight.
- 30:59Speaker 2: I guess it depends on what what the ad is.
- 31:01Speaker 1: Yeah, so Comcast Exfinity they showed Jurassic Park, that supposedly
- 31:05Speaker 1: is like the number one talked about right now. The
- 31:08Speaker 1: duncan ad at number two, Owen Wilson getting a Spanish
- 31:11Speaker 1: lesson from Sophia Viergara and then Lady Gaga, Trevor Noah,
- 31:15Speaker 1: you know, picking their favorite Pokemon was also one of
- 31:19Speaker 1: the most talked about. My favorite commercial I think it
- 31:21Speaker 1: was like in the third quarter, midway through the third
- 31:24Speaker 1: quarter or something like that. There's a little bird caught
- 31:27Speaker 1: in the rain and then little Clydesdale stands over the
- 31:31Speaker 1: bird to keep it nice and dry, and they go
- 31:34Speaker 1: on to have a budding friendship. And this little bird
- 31:37Speaker 1: it tries to fly and it fails, and then it
- 31:40Speaker 1: tries to fly some more, and eventually it spreads its
- 31:43Speaker 1: wings into this massive bald eagle. And it was just
- 31:47Speaker 1: a very cute commercial with two friends who go on
- 31:50Speaker 1: to you know, watch, I don't know, watch some become
- 31:53Speaker 1: just BFFs while two dudes sit on a porch drinking
- 31:55Speaker 1: a Budweiser.
- 31:57Speaker 2: Oh there it is. It was Thedwiser because the Clydesdale
- 32:00Speaker 2: I would have cried at that commercial.
- 32:02Speaker 3: Well, the guy at the end didn't.
- 32:04Speaker 1: He was just like, I'm just His friend was like
- 32:06Speaker 1: are you crying, and he was like, oh, the sun
- 32:08Speaker 1: is in my eyes, which.
- 32:09Speaker 2: Was just like that. I like that when it canteer
- 32:13Speaker 2: jerk and also make you laugh. That's a good one.
- 32:16Speaker 3: What was your favorite commercial?
- 32:17Speaker 1: Let us know at seven oh one through eight zero one,
- 32:20Speaker 1: nine eighty seven, or just let us know what did
- 32:22Speaker 1: you think about the commercials? Did you like him this year?
- 32:24Speaker 1: Where you are you kind of like me? Where you're
- 32:26Speaker 1: like there? Eh, they were all right? Let us know
- 32:28Speaker 1: here this morning at Big ninety eight point seven, n.
- 32:33Speaker 3: Some good.
- 32:36Speaker 5: Starting off the day with something good. This is Gabe's
- 32:39Speaker 5: good News on Big ninety eight point seven.
- 32:44Speaker 1: Gabe's good News of the day is all about what
- 32:47Speaker 1: went down at West Acres Mall on Saturday, the Giving
- 32:51Speaker 1: Hearts Day farmers Market. I was there, Angie was there,
- 32:55Speaker 1: my wife Corey was there. And there's a solid chance
- 32:58Speaker 1: of your listening right now.
- 32:59Speaker 3: You were there. That place was jam.
- 33:01Speaker 2: Packed oyat the farmers market and nonprofit Expo for Giving
- 33:05Speaker 2: Hearts Day.
- 33:06Speaker 1: Yeah, and it was awesome seeing all of the people
- 33:09Speaker 1: there A just helping out and giving early or B
- 33:13Speaker 1: just being interested and invested in all of these nonprofit
- 33:16Speaker 1: organizations that were on hand. It was so fun to
- 33:19Speaker 1: see and so fun to be a part of we
- 33:21Speaker 1: got to talk to a ton of those nonprofits on
- 33:23Speaker 1: Saturday and then walk around and kind of shake the
- 33:25Speaker 1: hands and meet a lot of those nonprofits as well.
- 33:28Speaker 1: And if you were there, Hey, just a big shout
- 33:30Speaker 1: out to you. It was wonderful to see. It was
- 33:32Speaker 1: just a beautiful sight. All the hearts, all the photos,
- 33:35Speaker 1: all of the charities and everything. It was just really
- 33:38Speaker 1: cool to be a part of.
- 33:39Speaker 2: And it was so cute to see.
- 33:40Speaker 4: Well.
- 33:41Speaker 2: Also we were fan girling and fanboying over Henry the
- 33:44Speaker 2: Heart that's right, and we got to take a picture
- 33:46Speaker 2: with him. It was so sweet to see all the
- 33:49Speaker 2: kids who would run up to Hendry the Heart for
- 33:53Speaker 2: Hogs and to take pictures. It was so heartwarming. And
- 33:57Speaker 2: of course Giving Hearts Day February twelfth, but you can
- 34:00Speaker 2: get in on the giving early head to Givingheartstaede dot org.
- 34:04Speaker 1: The world is full of nice people. If you can't
- 34:06Speaker 1: find one, you gotta be one.
