- 0:00SPEAKER_01: Uh I talked about Clifton earlier.
- 0:02SPEAKER_01: We went into this old old abandoned jail, right?
- 0:05SPEAKER_01: That's built into the cliff side.
- 0:07SPEAKER_01: Um, they have one light in there and and two cells, basically, and that's it.
- 0:11SPEAKER_01: And nothing but spider webs.
- 0:13SPEAKER_01: Everything like the whole ceiling, just nothing but spiders.
- 0:16SPEAKER_01: So it was pretty crazy.
- 0:20SPEAKER_00: Has there ever been an investigation where you're like, what am I doing?
- 0:24SPEAKER_00: Like, why'd I get myself into this?
- 0:27SPEAKER_01: In a way, right?
- 0:28SPEAKER_01: So um there's two instances that kind of stand out.
- 0:31SPEAKER_01: One, um, we went to Pioneer Park in San Diego, right?
- 0:35SPEAKER_01: So if you know anything about it, it used to be a cemetery, and the city of San Diego just ripped it all out.
- 0:41SPEAKER_01: They didn't relocate the bodies, but they they built a park over it.
- 0:44SPEAKER_01: So there's a section where they put they stack some tombstones.
- 0:47SPEAKER_01: The there's no like those people aren't buried there, they just kind of put them there.
- 0:51SPEAKER_01: Um, but the whole cemetery is, I mean, the whole park is a cemetery, right?
- 0:55SPEAKER_01: Kids have no idea they're playing.
- 0:57SPEAKER_01: Um, so we went there, it was super dark.
- 1:00SPEAKER_01: We I we meant to go early in the day to check it out, it just didn't work out.
- 1:04SPEAKER_01: Um, so we didn't know our surroundings really.
- 1:06SPEAKER_01: It's pitch black.
- 1:07SPEAKER_01: So we're starting up this investigation, and then we just hear this crazy like crying sound, right?
- 1:15SPEAKER_01: I we got flashlights, we're looking everywhere, can't see anything.
- 1:18SPEAKER_01: I'm walking around, it's getting louder and louder.
- 1:21SPEAKER_01: So, like, we start freaking out.
- 1:23SPEAKER_01: Like, is this a lady?
- 1:24SPEAKER_01: We can't see crying, like what is it?
- 1:26SPEAKER_01: Um, we finally tracked it down over.
- 1:30SPEAKER_01: I don't even know how long it took us to look.
- 1:32SPEAKER_01: Um, but uh way up in the tree, there was an owl, right?
- 1:36SPEAKER_01: And it was just doing this crazy cry at like two in the morning.
- 1:39SPEAKER_01: We're freaked out, right?
- 1:41SPEAKER_01: So, like that that was one where like, what the hell are we doing?
- 1:45SPEAKER_01: Like, what, like, what is this, right?
- 1:46SPEAKER_01: So, like that was one, but then we went to the copper queen the second time, and it was just my wife and I, um, right, the first time we went with my friends, and she got choked.
- 1:57SPEAKER_01: So, we ended up the guy we met at the front desk, super cool.
- 2:00SPEAKER_01: We're talking with him.
- 2:01SPEAKER_01: He led us in a room that they don't rent out really, and they call it the portal room.
- 2:06SPEAKER_01: And it's it's a it's a good sized room, but there's two mirrors on each side of it.
- 2:10SPEAKER_01: Um, and all of a sudden we're doing that investigation, and then she can't she can't talk, my wife.
- 2:17SPEAKER_01: Um, so Christy, she starts choking a little bit, and then her voice gets raspy for a little bit, but then you know, we drink water, whatever, and we move on, right?
- 2:26SPEAKER_01: So then we get back to our room about maybe 20 minutes later, and she had a she had a handprint on her throat.
- 2:33SPEAKER_01: So, like, I thought for sure she was gonna have us check out, sleep in the car, something, right?
- 2:38SPEAKER_01: And like we just kept going.
- 2:40SPEAKER_01: So, like that after the fact, we're like, crap, should we have kept going?
- 2:44SPEAKER_01: Like, should we have stopped?
- 2:45SPEAKER_01: What what was that?
- 2:47SPEAKER_01: So, yeah, so I'm glad we didn't sleep in that room, but yeah, that that was the second time.
- 2:53SPEAKER_00: That's the one thing about investigating, though.
- 2:54SPEAKER_00: When you especially get into a dark place, not demonic, just dark, like a lot of people leave.
- 3:00SPEAKER_00: It's fight or flight, right?
- 3:02SPEAKER_00: You know, it's just you want to push your limits, and I think as paranormal investigators, we have to push our limits to a certain point.
- 3:11SPEAKER_00: But again, you're being choked, you might want to get out of that room.
- 3:14SPEAKER_00: I mean, it's that might be your sign to okay, let's let's step out and take a little little breath here.
- 3:21SPEAKER_00: Because I see I see way too many people get affected by spirits and try to stay in there and just drains them totally instead of just walking out and gathering themselves because 90% of the time when they walk out of that room, they feel fine.
- 3:38SPEAKER_01: Yeah, that's happened to us too, one other spot um in Tombstone where uh we actually went our anniversary weekend and like we got in a fight all of a sudden out of nowhere.
- 3:49SPEAKER_01: Um at this, like it's so it's a restaurant, it's a haunted restaurant, it's like big nose cate's, and they got a downstairs where you can investigate, um, where there was a tunnel, right?
- 3:59SPEAKER_01: So all of a sudden we just kind of got into it then, and then like we leave, and then it's like, oh, like like it just it just goes away, right?
- 4:07SPEAKER_01: Like you just feel it kind of go away, and we're like, what the hell happened?
- 4:10SPEAKER_01: And you know, then we're good again.
- 4:11SPEAKER_01: But yeah, it's weird how those kind of things happen.
- 4:14SPEAKER_01: So you do have to know yourself, pay attention to your own emotions and do your research before going there, you know, so you you know you could get affected and you know, X, Y, and Z, and then like you said, step out of there, go get a breather, any of those kind of things.
- 4:28SPEAKER_00: Now, since you guys are together and you guys know each other really well, has there ever been a time where you acted different or she acted different?
- 4:36SPEAKER_00: And like if she was acting different, you look at it like, hey, let's take a step back.
- 4:42SPEAKER_01: No, not really.
- 4:43SPEAKER_01: Just that one time we affected both of us.
- 4:46SPEAKER_01: We've we've spent the night in rooms where like I had certain feelings where she didn't, like static feelings or you know, like stuff like that, where it affected just one and not the other, but never not not so much where we notice and we had to tell each other, like, hey, let's go take a walk or something like that.
- 5:04SPEAKER_01: I've been scratched a couple times, and you know, we just keep going.
- 5:08SPEAKER_01: Um, I've had so we stayed in uh what considered grandma's room a nice spirit, and I had my shirt pulled so hard, like it turned me all the way around.
- 5:16SPEAKER_01: And like that was the first time I got touched, and I thought, like, going into it, thinking about that, I would say, like, we're out of here, like we're not gonna do it.
- 5:24SPEAKER_01: But then you're in the moment, and you like you said, for right, flight or fright, and and you just fight and you just keep going.
- 5:30SPEAKER_01: I I would think like all kinds of stuff would have to happen, like stuff being thrown, drawers opening, lights flickering, being scratched, all like all at the same time, maybe, but you know, like I always laugh at these groups who like go in there and ask for all these things to be done, and then some of it happens and they freak out and scream and run.
- 5:49SPEAKER_01: And it's like that's why you're there, like you know, you're trying to document all that stuff.
- 5:53SPEAKER_01: So I I don't think so.
- 5:55SPEAKER_01: I think I think I would I would I would stay there.
- 5:57SPEAKER_00: Yeah, especially when people ask for it.
- 5:59SPEAKER_00: I mean, yeah, I don't think you go in a place that has to be scratched, you don't go ask to be choked.
- 6:06SPEAKER_00: And there's groups out there that do it, like oh, you can slap me, you can choke me, scratch me.
- 6:11SPEAKER_00: Like you said, when it happens, they run.
- 6:13SPEAKER_00: Yeah, you asked you you asked for it.
- 6:16SPEAKER_00: Um, do you think fear plays a big part?
- 6:19SPEAKER_01: I don't I think it does.
- 6:21SPEAKER_01: Um, I'm not someone who's scared of really that much, right?
- 6:25SPEAKER_01: So, like, like for me, like I um I'll get anxious or nervous sometimes, but I like there hasn't been a place I've been really scared, you know, besides the owl, like trying to figure out what that was.
- 6:36SPEAKER_01: Um, but yeah, I think I think fear probably plays a part for sure.
- 6:40SPEAKER_00: Now, what would it take for you to leave a place?
- 6:42SPEAKER_00: Like, would it have to be like demonic or just very dark?
- 6:47SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I think demonic.
- 6:49SPEAKER_00: I don't mess with demonic stuff, so I mean, yeah, same.
- 6:53SPEAKER_01: Like I said, Ed and Lorraine's gonna be the closest.
- 6:55SPEAKER_01: Like, we mainly do hotel rooms, we've gotten a few buildings and you know, morgues, like mortuaries, stuff like that.
- 7:02SPEAKER_01: But yeah, we try to, like I said, I do the heavy research because we try to stay away from super dark demonic places.
- 7:08SPEAKER_00: I just think there's no reason for it.
- 7:11SPEAKER_01: Yeah, same as like Bobby, like Bobby Mac's, right?
- 7:15SPEAKER_01: Bobby Mackey from the back in the day before it got torn down.
- 7:18SPEAKER_01: Like, that's a place we would probably never ever go to, just with all the demonics.
- 7:22SPEAKER_01: So, like things like that, we we stay away from.
- 7:25SPEAKER_00: Oh, there's rumors they're building another Bobby Mackey's on that property.
- 7:29SPEAKER_01: Oh dang.
- 7:31SPEAKER_00: I guess the well well is still there.
- 7:33SPEAKER_01: Because, like I said, we've talked about some of those moments of being scratched or pulled, choked, and it's like we probably should have got out of there.
- 7:40SPEAKER_01: We probably should have been more concerned or at least set boundaries, right, with the spirits.
- 7:46SPEAKER_01: And we're just like, no, we just go with the same normal, you know, questions that we normally ask.
- 7:51SPEAKER_01: Um, so that is something we talked about.
- 7:54SPEAKER_01: It hasn't happened recently, so but yeah, so like that's that is something we we know we need to be more aware of for sure.
- 8:01SPEAKER_00: So let's talk about you know culture a little bit, children's spirits because you said scratch, and that's a big thing.
- 8:08SPEAKER_00: A lot of people think there are kids trying to get your attention when you do get scratched, especially when it's on an arm going down or whatever.
- 8:15SPEAKER_00: Yeah, how do you feel about children's spirits?
- 8:19SPEAKER_01: So, so I go back and forth on these, right?
- 8:22SPEAKER_01: So during the investigations, I do treat it like out loud as a child's spirit.
- 8:29SPEAKER_01: I'm asking it, you know, about toys and your mom, your dad, stuff like that, right?
- 8:34SPEAKER_01: But personally, like I'm I try to stay like mind frame and stuff, like not knowing if this really is a kid or not.
- 8:42SPEAKER_01: I've watched, like, I I know I'm going back to the copper queen, but there's Billy, he's supposedly drowned, right?
- 8:47SPEAKER_01: But by there um in the Rio Grande um river close by.
- 8:51SPEAKER_01: So that's one story.
- 8:52SPEAKER_01: Also, the second story is his mom was a maid there and he died in the bathtub, right?
- 8:57SPEAKER_01: So any running water, things like that, he you know, brings him out and you can hear him cry.
- 9:02SPEAKER_01: There's a few psychic mediums who've gone there and said, like, oh no, I'm not going into his room.
- 9:07SPEAKER_01: That is not a child spirit, right?
- 9:09SPEAKER_01: So, like, I when I research, I try to find stuff like that.
- 9:12SPEAKER_01: Queen Mary has Jackie, she was a child spirit.
- 9:15SPEAKER_01: We treated her like one.
- 9:16SPEAKER_01: She came through and acted like you know, like one.
- 9:19SPEAKER_01: Same thing with Billy.
- 9:20SPEAKER_01: So that's one thing I'm I'm unsure of.
- 9:23SPEAKER_01: Like, I would like to think the kids go to wherever it is you believe in, right?
- 9:28SPEAKER_01: The happy place, and they're not stuck here.
- 9:31SPEAKER_01: And it is somebody, you know, trying to get you to lower your walls down, right?
- 9:35SPEAKER_01: And act like a child, but then I just don't know.
- 9:39SPEAKER_01: So yeah, that that's one that I'm always torn on.
- 9:42SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I mean, it's a hard one.
- 9:44SPEAKER_00: Like you said, you know, we never want a child to be trapped here, stuck here.
- 9:49SPEAKER_00: We hope they move on, but I always say, is it possible because Trans Allegheny Lunatic Casate Asylum has a child there and it's looking for its mom.
- 9:59SPEAKER_00: So that's what we talked about on our other podcast too, the other night.
- 10:03SPEAKER_00: Was is it possible if a child dies young before their parents are they sticking around because that's what makes them comfortable until until their parents pass?
- 10:16SPEAKER_00: But I mean, Billy's instant, like probably a long time ago, I mean, sure, his parents have passed.
- 10:24SPEAKER_00: Or maybe he blames his parents for what happened and doesn't want to move on.
- 10:28SPEAKER_00: I mean, I don't know.
- 10:31SPEAKER_00: Hopefully, I mean, I got kids, hopefully none of them get stuck around and move on and to the happy place, that would we like to call it.
- 10:41SPEAKER_00: So same.
- 10:43SPEAKER_01: But yeah, like we take toys and stuff too.
- 10:45SPEAKER_01: So we'll put out toys um when it is child spirits.
- 10:48SPEAKER_00: I was gonna say about trigger objects.
- 10:50SPEAKER_00: Now when you go into like a more Spanish Mexican area, do you take any trigger objects?
- 10:57SPEAKER_01: Like, yeah, um, we we so we take a lot of trigger objects on most of our locations.
- 11:02SPEAKER_01: Um, right.
- 11:03SPEAKER_01: So being wild west, we usually carry bullets, we usually carry poker chips, cards, like those are some things we always have on us pipe, like whiskey, like little, you know, with shooter bottles of whiskey.
- 11:15SPEAKER_01: We have little dolls and cars, monster trucks, light up things, uh so stuff like that.
- 11:20SPEAKER_01: So we we we try to bring all those things.
- 11:23SPEAKER_01: I ended up, I don't know, I really think this might have been in Bisbee too, where um one of the shops, there was like some old coins that they used to use, right?
- 11:31SPEAKER_01: And um for prostitution, stuff like that.
- 11:34SPEAKER_01: Um, so we'll even put those out if we know, like Julia, for example, was a copper queen, um, lady of the night, right?
- 11:41SPEAKER_01: So like we'll put those out on the dresser, like, hey, you know, could I buy you for a couple hours tonight?
- 11:46SPEAKER_01: Like, we'll say certain things like that and and try to leave trigger items out there.
- 11:50SPEAKER_01: Um, so yeah, we're big into that.
- 11:52SPEAKER_01: Same thing, cemeteries.
- 11:54SPEAKER_01: Like, we'll we'll bring some of our crystals that that are hearts, little ones, and we leave that as offerings.
- 11:59SPEAKER_01: You know, we try to thank everybody for speaking to us.
- 12:02SPEAKER_01: We were just at the Grand Hotel in San Diego too, and we got a lot of feedback, and we left a couple, you know, thank you um crystals and stuff like that for the spirits there, and we try to hide them in the room so nobody takes them somewhere up high, um in weird places, just where they would know.
- 12:19SPEAKER_00: The one thing you said, what you just said, everything there is that so many people watch TV too much because they're all about you know bringing the negative energy out, bringing the demonic energy, the dark energy.
- 12:33SPEAKER_00: But you guys go in to thank them, and of all the groups I've had on, do the same thing.
- 12:39SPEAKER_00: I never had anybody that said, like, oh, they never did this, they never scratched me.
- 12:45SPEAKER_00: But you guys go in with the right mindset and you appreciate them.
- 12:51SPEAKER_00: I think that's what it's about doing paranormal investigating.
- 12:53SPEAKER_00: I said all the groups I've had on, I think you're like my 75th episode here, are just treat the spirits the same way you guys do.
- 13:02SPEAKER_00: And I find that amazing because we watch too many TV shows that you know it's all about the negative energy because that's what draws that's what draws social media, and I'm sure you see it on TikTok also.
- 13:16SPEAKER_00: Oh yeah, you know, watch I'll turn a live on and I'm like, what am I watching?
- 13:22SPEAKER_01: Like I'm with you.
- 13:24SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I mean, it's not my cup of tea.
- 13:27SPEAKER_01: Um, yeah, so it sounds like you got great followers, right?
- 13:31SPEAKER_01: Because like, yeah, we don't, like I said, we go with we try to get respect, we try to learn about them, honor the history, honor the place, um, thank them for spending the time to talk to us, right?
- 13:41SPEAKER_01: Like, we've been lucky enough where everywhere we've gone, we've got decent amount of evidence where I'm even having to like just take some out because like, how long do you want to see a REM pod go off, right?
- 13:52SPEAKER_01: Like, so um, right.
- 13:54SPEAKER_01: So we've been lucky enough to just go and get good evidence.
- 13:57SPEAKER_01: So like we always try to thank them and like I said, leave a gift, leave an offering.
- 14:01SPEAKER_01: We went to a cemetery here um last year and it was in bad shape.
- 14:06SPEAKER_01: So like we've said, hey, we're we're gonna come back and clean it up.
- 14:09SPEAKER_01: So you know, we've done that.
- 14:10SPEAKER_01: You know, we we just try to treat them like like when they were human and alive and just have normal conversations.
- 14:17SPEAKER_00: Now, between your culture and I guess the eastern culture of the United States, like do you see the respect difference of the dead?
- 14:26SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I think so.
- 14:28SPEAKER_01: Um, at least, at least speaking for my culture, my family, you know, we we we try to honor the dead quite a bit.
- 14:36SPEAKER_01: And you know, I'm not I'm not someone who goes to church, but I know my family is, and they even do like special masses for them, right?
- 14:44SPEAKER_01: Like every every every month they have a special mass in honor of them um to pray for them.
- 14:49SPEAKER_01: So, so yeah, and like the the cemeteries, especially, you know, I'm excited to see some some cemeteries back um when I go to like Doll Island just to kind of see how they are in in Mexico.
- 15:00SPEAKER_01: Or like I've seen videos and pictures and like they're just beautiful looking, a lot of them.
- 15:04SPEAKER_01: Um, so I I personally think there's a difference, but yeah, I I think it's more I don't know, I think it's just more beautiful on on our side, the the way it's kind of done and honored and decorating and stuff like that.
- 15:17SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I mean, I mean you guys mourn, obviously, but I think you keep the memories more alive than what we do.
- 15:25SPEAKER_00: And I'm a big believer in memories, that's why I do this, is to keep those memories alive of people that are gone.
- 15:33SPEAKER_00: That's my main reason, and I tell everybody this.
- 15:36SPEAKER_00: I'm not here to find out about the afterlife, I will find out sooner or later.
- 15:40SPEAKER_00: That's guaranteed.
- 15:42SPEAKER_00: I'll find about that later.
- 15:44SPEAKER_00: So I just want to keep the memories, and that's what you guys I don't want to call it a celebration, but that's what you guys are doing.
- 15:52SPEAKER_00: Yeah, you know, I would call it that.
- 15:55SPEAKER_00: All right, it just seems like your culture just seems to people live, people die.
- 16:01SPEAKER_00: That's life, right?
- 16:04SPEAKER_00: And you know, you can mourn it, but you also celebrate their life.
- 16:09SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I mean, does that make sense?
- 16:10SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I mean, yeah, it does.
- 16:12SPEAKER_01: Yeah, so we honor it, we celebrate it, we you know, like you said, memories, it's all about the memories and not letting them, not letting them die, right?
- 16:20SPEAKER_01: So, yeah, constantly bringing them up.
- 16:22SPEAKER_00: Yeah, no, I that's unbelievable because in my mind, I'm a little weird with my mind, but it's like you don't want to be forgotten.
- 16:31SPEAKER_00: That's the main thing people are scared about when they die is being forgotten.
- 16:36SPEAKER_00: But you guys keep the memories alive, yeah.
- 16:39SPEAKER_01: And and I'm a little bit different from the rest of the family, where um, so like my family, they're they're all Catholic, right?
- 16:46SPEAKER_01: Uh always.
- 16:47SPEAKER_01: Um, I've kind of gone through um my indigenous site and really honoring my ancestors, and I I switched to Meshika, which is the Aztec, right?
- 16:57SPEAKER_01: So like I got you can't really see here, but I have all the Aztec gods on me, not all of them, but the the main ones.
- 17:03SPEAKER_01: Um, so I'm a big believer in that and really researching right before we were conquered here, like what my bloodline believed in.
- 17:11SPEAKER_01: Um, so like that's something that's been passionate about for me.
- 17:14SPEAKER_01: You see it too in some of our investigations, too, with the skulls.
- 17:17SPEAKER_01: And um, I'm actually creating like an Aztec story right now, trying to honor a lot of the past.
- 17:23SPEAKER_01: Um, but like they we believe in like you go through seven stages of what some people call how, right, is the underworld, and you have your dogs that kind of help you move through the seven stages and things like that, and you go through something at each one to you know get reborn or you know, whatever you believe in.
- 17:41SPEAKER_01: But yeah, it's yeah, it's definitely um a lot of interesting stuff there from all all sorts of different cultures.
- 17:48SPEAKER_00: So I'm not a huge like history buff.
- 17:50SPEAKER_00: I do love history, so the Aztecs.
- 17:54SPEAKER_00: Do you believe that they were here then went down, then end up coming back up after the Spanish were chasing them?
- 18:01SPEAKER_01: Oh, like like you meant you mean they came more into like the U what we considered the US and then back to Mexico?
- 18:07SPEAKER_00: Is that there's some history stating that they actually started in the United States, then went down.
- 18:15SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 18:15SPEAKER_00: Then when the Spanish came, they came back home.
- 18:18SPEAKER_00: Like you want to say.
- 18:20SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I I believe that.
- 18:22SPEAKER_01: Um, I believe they were heavily here um in parts of what we consider the United States.
- 18:27SPEAKER_01: Um, yeah, Aztecs came, they right, they left where there were there was a prophecy that they would find on on a mountain or a cactus eagle with a snake in its mouth, right?
- 18:38SPEAKER_01: So they traveled and traveled, you know, thousands and thousands of miles, and then close to where they got where we consider Mexico City, close to it, um, they actually saw an eagle perched, right, with the snake in its mouth on the cactus.
- 18:52SPEAKER_01: And you see that as part of the flag now for Mexico, and then that's where they started building and and they created their land.
- 18:59SPEAKER_01: Um, so yeah, uh, we've been here this this whole time for sure.
- 19:02SPEAKER_00: It's amazing how like a symbol of a snake and a bird or an eagle will make people travel thousands of miles.
- 19:12SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it's what you believe in.
- 19:14SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it's what again, it's what your belief is in.
- 19:17SPEAKER_00: So I mean, you get it in Catholic Christian everywhere that went on these pilgrims to find whatever they were looking for, and that's how cultures end up being in certain places.
- 19:30SPEAKER_00: No, it's the Aztec, whole Aztec stuff.
- 19:33SPEAKER_00: Um hopefully get a little more into it like writing or something, because I I find it interesting of their culture and the way they lived.
- 19:42SPEAKER_00: I mean, it's just amazing to me.
- 19:45SPEAKER_00: And yeah, again, the way the world is, living a good life, and someone had to come and be a jackass and you know, want their gold.
- 19:55SPEAKER_00: I mean, that's what it came down to, right?
- 19:57SPEAKER_00: Yeah, the Spanish want their gold.
- 20:00SPEAKER_00: Besides Doll Island, what bucketless place would you love to go to?
- 20:07SPEAKER_01: So besides Doll Island, Ed and Lorraine's, um, like I said, the Whaley House has been one on my radar.
- 20:13SPEAKER_01: Other than that, like right, like the catacombs, right?
- 20:18SPEAKER_01: Like it impairs to be able to go down there and like see all that, all those skulls and dead bodies, and I think just adrenaline, right?
- 20:27SPEAKER_01: Of possibly being lost down there, like I think that would be pretty crazy.
- 20:32SPEAKER_01: I don't know if we'll ever do it, but yeah, like that.
- 20:34SPEAKER_01: That's that's a crazy one.
- 20:36SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I mean, like I think catacombs like Hellfire Caves are two.
- 20:41SPEAKER_00: That would be cool just to see.
- 20:43SPEAKER_00: I don't know if I want to.
- 20:44SPEAKER_00: I always said you can lock me into catacombs with no flashlight, I'll do it.
- 20:48SPEAKER_00: I'm sure once I get there, I'll have a change of heart.
- 20:51SPEAKER_01: But yeah, all right.
- 20:52SPEAKER_01: So what tools?
- 20:54SPEAKER_01: So this is where we like where we're a little different, I would say, where other other channels may not like us with some of the tools we use, is like so phone apps, right?
- 21:06SPEAKER_01: Like, I feel like that gets you either like them or like you just hate them and you bash them every time you see somebody talk about them online, right?
- 21:15SPEAKER_01: We try to do both where we have our normal spirit boxes, but you know, we we use the apps too, and we um we try to you run them at the same time to see if we get certain things.
- 21:25SPEAKER_01: I know on the apps using them as long as we have, there's certain words that just will come out quite a bit where I won't even add those into our evidence, no matter what, right?
- 21:35SPEAKER_01: Like there's certain keywords that we'll get every time where I won't even mess with.
- 21:40SPEAKER_01: Um, so I try to be very careful with what I use from the apps and how we use them.
- 21:45SPEAKER_01: I'm a big believer, like we do airplane mode, all that kind of stuff, even before we even get close to it, to the location.
- 21:52SPEAKER_01: And seems just things just seem to match or add up.
- 21:55SPEAKER_01: So I personally believe in the apps.
- 21:58SPEAKER_01: I know, like, like I said, I mentioned cat.
- 22:00SPEAKER_01: Balls earlier, um, some are super sensitive, right?
- 22:03SPEAKER_01: You barely move and they go off.
- 22:04SPEAKER_01: So, like, that's what we we kind of keep them as they get older.
- 22:08SPEAKER_01: Um, so like I know in certain videos I maybe not won't always trust cat balls or the apps, but um, those are things we we use pretty often.
- 22:17SPEAKER_01: Um, dowsing rods we kind of stopped using.
- 22:20SPEAKER_01: Um, but then again, that's another one where you know you don't do it on purpose, but like any movement and those things are swinging.
- 22:27SPEAKER_01: So that's probably another thing.
- 22:28SPEAKER_01: I don't put like all my eggs in that basket, I guess, to name a few, I guess.
- 22:34SPEAKER_00: But I think one thing with apps though, and I always tell people that like I'll break out the spare talker when stuff is slow.
- 22:42SPEAKER_00: And I don't believe in them, but it could start directing you in the right questions.
- 22:48SPEAKER_00: So that's why I like using the spare talker.
- 22:50SPEAKER_00: Maybe we'll come up with something and maybe I'll start asking the right questions, get the spirits talking.
- 22:55SPEAKER_01: I think too, if we if I'll get if I get a name or something that has to do with that investigation pretty early on with using the app, I I tend to use it a little longer.
- 23:05SPEAKER_01: Um, but yeah, it it's it's hit or miss sometimes.
- 23:08SPEAKER_01: But I I I think they work for the most part.
- 23:11SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I mean, everybody's gonna bash every piece of equipment you use, especially if you get evidence.
- 23:17SPEAKER_00: That's the way Paranormal World works.
- 23:19SPEAKER_00: Apps, like the big thing right now is that with the AI, they're gonna take your location and the history of the location and plug it into everything.
- 23:29SPEAKER_00: But I don't think the apps are that in depth yet for the like Spare Talker and all that.
- 23:35SPEAKER_00: I'm sure there's gonna be some out there that are gonna start doing that.
- 23:39SPEAKER_00: There's a lot of apps out there like Spare Talker that is good, that's decent, but there's a lot of apps out there that say right on it, entertainment only.
- 23:48SPEAKER_00: It's a game, so you gotta be careful what you use too.
- 23:51SPEAKER_01: I mean, exactly.
- 23:53SPEAKER_01: Yeah, you gotta pay attention to it for sure.
- 23:56SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I was I was just gonna say too, even with the dead bell, right?
- 23:59SPEAKER_01: Like you could turn up that sensitivity all the way up, and like it's it's gonna ring quite a bit.
- 24:04SPEAKER_01: Um, so like that's something we don't do either.
- 24:06SPEAKER_01: We like we we do a quarter turn, maybe halfway, but like we're never fully turning stuff, like to be so sensitive.
- 24:13SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I mean that dead bell is very sensitive, um, especially when you go live on Facebook or anything, it seems to kick off pretty good.
- 24:22SPEAKER_00: I use it just but my last investigation, that thing never went off.
- 24:27SPEAKER_01: That's weird, huh?
- 24:29SPEAKER_01: Uh yeah, they have their favorites.
- 24:31SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 24:32SPEAKER_00: And that's why I think you need a whole bunch of different tools.
- 24:35SPEAKER_00: You need EMF, you need motion sensor, you need you know, even apps, anything that's different because you don't know what the spirits are going to be able to use.
- 24:44SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 24:44SPEAKER_01: Like one of our last investigations we have on our YouTube um Hotel San Carlos, they use every single piece of equipment we have on that investigation.
- 24:54SPEAKER_01: And I think that's only happened one other time.
- 24:56SPEAKER_01: But like, yeah, we we either get heavy rep um REM pod and not, you know, no dead bow, or we get heavy dead bow, not a lot of REM pod.
- 25:04SPEAKER_01: So it's just it's hit or miss.
- 25:06SPEAKER_00: Do you guys have a tripwire at all?
- 25:07SPEAKER_01: So we do, and that's that's what I want to replace because so there's a couple things we got on Etsy that just it just doesn't seem to work very well.
- 25:16SPEAKER_01: That's one of them.
- 25:17SPEAKER_01: So that that and like a good like like we have a net light that but it dies super quick.
- 25:23SPEAKER_01: So like the motion rope and the net light are the next two things I would eventually um like to upgrade.
- 25:29SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I mean, I'm not gonna I'll give them a little shout-out.
- 25:31SPEAKER_00: NCPD, uh it's called North Kate and Paranormal Detectives.
- 25:35SPEAKER_00: He makes the original tripwire.
- 25:38SPEAKER_00: Okay, the one the one you see on like Project X and all that.
- 25:42SPEAKER_01: Oh, yeah, yeah.
- 25:42SPEAKER_01: I heard you talk about it on some of your other podcasts actually.
- 25:46SPEAKER_00: He was on my show, and that dude makes everything by hand, and he's the original trip rope, and it's emf.
- 25:52SPEAKER_00: It's not motion sensor, it's actually EMF.
- 25:55SPEAKER_01: So I'm gonna look into that then.
- 25:57SPEAKER_00: Yeah, so there's two of them.
- 25:58SPEAKER_00: There's the 12, there's four of them 12 and 12 plus.
- 26:02SPEAKER_00: The 12 plus is EMF, which will make a sound when it hits now, and the lights will dim slower, so you actually see different color lights, so you can tell how strong the EMF is.
- 26:13SPEAKER_00: So I have both.
- 26:15SPEAKER_00: The regular 12 seems to hit a lot more.
- 26:18SPEAKER_00: The 12 plus is not as sensitive, but I like them because you have to be within like two inches for that thing to go off with your phone.
- 26:27SPEAKER_00: So it's like if something hits it, something's hitting it.
- 26:30SPEAKER_00: Okay, and there's there's no like I'm five feet away and things going off.
- 26:34SPEAKER_00: That does not happen.
- 26:36SPEAKER_01: Okay, so you you just sold me on it.
- 26:39SPEAKER_00: Uh no, I mean that I mean it was amazing when I talked to him.
- 26:45SPEAKER_00: I think he has like 15 3D printers going 24-7, just making stuff.
- 26:50SPEAKER_00: And he has a chip guy who makes all their own chips, and it's a pretty cool process.
- 26:55SPEAKER_00: I mean, and that's like you said, you buy off stuff off Etsy and stuff like that.
- 26:59SPEAKER_00: You gotta be a little leery about it, you know.
- 27:01SPEAKER_00: When you see a group that's 200 bucks, then you see something else that's 50 bucks.
- 27:06SPEAKER_00: Like, are you getting what you paid for?
- 27:09SPEAKER_01: Yeah, that's exactly what we got.
- 27:11SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I mean, but I've had a motion detector off Etsy, and that thing's good, it's never gone off once without human interaction.
- 27:19SPEAKER_00: So I'm waiting for that thing to go off sometime in my lifetime.
- 27:22SPEAKER_01: Spirit has to make that thing go off, so yeah, like we bought this cool like cigarette box where you open it, it's fake cigarettes, but they light up when they get close to it.
- 27:32SPEAKER_01: It's never once ever gone off.
- 27:34SPEAKER_01: And like I said, tombstone cowboys heavy, right?
- 27:38SPEAKER_01: Like they touch the pipe, the cigars, all that kind of stuff.
- 27:41SPEAKER_01: And you if that thing worked, I'm sure it was trying to get that cigarette the whole time.
- 27:45SPEAKER_01: It just it just doesn't work, so yeah.
- 27:48SPEAKER_01: So it's certain things you get what you pay for.
- 27:49SPEAKER_01: You're right.
- 27:50SPEAKER_00: Yeah, but I mean, is have you tried like is it emf or motion?
- 27:55SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it's supposed to be emf, but like it just have you guys like your phone to it and it's gone off at all.
- 28:01SPEAKER_01: I mean, no, it just it just doesn't work.
- 28:03SPEAKER_01: So we've we don't even work, yeah.
- 28:06SPEAKER_01: Just we we we took it and like our first three or four investigation, we had it out.
- 28:10SPEAKER_01: We never tested it, we just figured it it didn't hit, but then it's like everything else is but this.
- 28:15SPEAKER_01: So, like then we put the phone in, it just doesn't go off.
- 28:18SPEAKER_01: So, like, whatever we lost that money.
- 28:21SPEAKER_00: That's a trigger object now, I guess.
- 28:23SPEAKER_01: So, I mean, yeah, like I'll try to put cat balls by it now and hope that they go off.
- 28:28SPEAKER_00: That's cool.
- 28:29SPEAKER_01: But uh, thanks for having me, Ryan.
- 28:31SPEAKER_01: I appreciate it.
- 28:32SPEAKER_00: I appreciate everybody out there.
- 28:33SPEAKER_00: Go check out their shop.
- 28:34SPEAKER_00: I mean, Lamerto, I have a down there at paranormal.com.
- 28:39SPEAKER_00: Um, it's pretty cool.
- 28:40SPEAKER_00: You're gonna find some stuff on there that you're gonna find interest, especially if you're in the crystals.
- 28:44SPEAKER_00: If you're not, I'm not in the crystals, and there's a few things I'm gonna order.
- 28:48SPEAKER_00: And some people are gonna get Christmas presents from there.
- 28:50SPEAKER_01: So exactly.
- 28:52SPEAKER_01: But I was just gonna say, yeah, that that is a website that has both paranormal and the shop part of the the the skull and stone.
- 28:58SPEAKER_01: Um, if you just want to look at the skulls, it's our La Muerte Skull and Stone.
- 29:02SPEAKER_01: Um, and then obviously the Paranormal channel is just that.
- 29:06SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 29:06SPEAKER_01: So and we're La Muerte on everything: Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, all those.
- 29:12SPEAKER_00: Yeah, check them out on YouTube.
- 29:14SPEAKER_00: Um, they got a lot of pretty cool shows out there that you can watch.
- 29:19SPEAKER_00: You're gonna learn a lot, I think, by the way they investigate.
- 29:22SPEAKER_00: Facebook, you guys aren't too much on it, but TikTok here and there, but YouTube's your main social media, I believe, what I gather.
- 29:31SPEAKER_01: Yeah, YouTube.
- 29:32SPEAKER_01: Um we're trying to get a we're trying to get to a thousand on YouTube, right?
- 29:35SPEAKER_01: We're in the 700s now.
- 29:37SPEAKER_01: Other than that, I would say probably TikTok's next, and then Instagram and Facebook has about the same amount.
- 29:42SPEAKER_01: What one place where I say we stand out is I do use AI to do the history of so the very beginning, right?
- 29:50SPEAKER_01: The very beginning is gonna have AI where it really talks about the history of the location we're investigating, this what spirits are there, and then what some of the spirits are known known for, right?
- 30:01SPEAKER_01: Like if there's footsteps, whatever, that's all gonna be part of the intro.
- 30:05SPEAKER_01: I I tell the story with with that way with AI, and then it kicks right into us investigating.
- 30:10SPEAKER_01: So um a little different.
- 30:12SPEAKER_01: We're trying to use a little bit of both, kind of see where that goes.
- 30:14SPEAKER_01: But yeah, yeah, feel free to reach out to us, give us feedback.
- 30:18SPEAKER_01: Um, we're always open and on ways to improve.
- 30:20SPEAKER_01: So definitely.
- 30:22SPEAKER_00: All right.
- 30:22SPEAKER_00: Well, I appreciate you coming on, taking the time, giving me a little cultural history.
- 30:27SPEAKER_00: I love it, but I'm not don't have time to read everything.
- 30:30SPEAKER_00: So again, I mean, I would tell everybody keep me in you, you guys are doing great.
- 30:34SPEAKER_00: And everybody else, thanks for joining in.
- 30:37SPEAKER_00: Maybe one time we'll get your wife on too.
- 30:39SPEAKER_00: You never know.
- 30:40SPEAKER_01: So yeah, definitely open to doing it again.
- 30:42SPEAKER_01: Um, thanks for all the questions, everybody.
- 30:44SPEAKER_01: And Ryan, yeah, thanks again for having us on Trap Soul Podcast.
- 30:48SPEAKER_00: I appreciate it.
- 30:49SPEAKER_00: Have a good night.
