- 0:10Speaker 1: twenty four, so you might hear a reference here and
- 0:12Speaker 1: there to something around the holiday season. But in honor
- 0:16Speaker 1: of the fact that Hallmark is re airing these episodes

- 1:20Speaker 1: of the season. Let's talk Holidays and start with the
- 1:25Speaker 1: synopsis of episode three. The lenn Family, Ted and Marcus
- 1:29Speaker 1: celebrate their engagement during Christmas, but chaos ensues when Grandma
- 1:33Speaker 1: Lynn unexpectedly arrives unaware that Ted has never come out
- 1:38Speaker 1: to her. That's weird wording. That's straight from the Hallmark website.
- 1:42Speaker 1: Like she's not unaware, she's unaware that Ted is gay. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:47Speaker 1: that is weird. Weird. Episode was directed by Gina Matthews
- 1:50Speaker 1: and David Weaver. The episode was written by Matt McConkey.
- 1:54Speaker 1: Matt has seven writing credits, including heathers the TV series
- 1:58Speaker 1: Bajillion Dollar Last Night when he was like, what do
- 2:01Speaker 1: I know the name Matt McConkey from, And I was like,
- 2:04Speaker 1: I know, It's so familiar to me too, And then
- 2:06Speaker 1: I did a quick Google search. He's a regular. I
- 2:09Speaker 1: don't know if that podcast still exists, Bitch Sash, it does.
- 2:12Speaker 1: He's a regular on that. He's kind of in that
- 2:14Speaker 1: circle of friends. We hear that names hero on a
- 2:16Speaker 1: round a lot. Yeah, speaking of names, let's do rend
- 2:19Speaker 1: some quick news and notes. Osrich Chow plays Ted Lynn.
- 2:22Speaker 1: He's the son Osrick. Osrick has seventy four acting credits.
- 2:26Speaker 1: He was lasting on Hallmark in Christmas at the Golden Dragon.
- 2:30Speaker 1: Shawnahmed plays Marcus Ted's fiance. Sewn has one previous Hallmark
- 2:34Speaker 1: appearance on Twas The Night Before Christmas and fifty eight
- 2:37Speaker 1: total acting credits. Jasmine Chen plays Ella Lynn. She's the daughter.
- 2:42Speaker 1: Jasmine is an accomplished stage stage actress with just thirteen
- 2:45Speaker 1: screen credits, and this is her first project for Hallmark.
- 2:49Speaker 1: Sharon Crandall plays Mom Lois. Sharon is a Hallmark stable
- 2:53Speaker 1: with thirty nine acting credits. Recently, she's been in Holiday
- 2:56Speaker 1: Road and Christmas at the Golden Dragon, and she has
- 2:59Speaker 1: six projects currently in production. Stanley Jong plays Dead Steve.
- 3:03Speaker 1: Stanley has just twelve acting credits, the majority of which
- 3:05Speaker 1: are shorts. However, he did appear in Jingle Bell Bride
- 3:08Speaker 1: in twenty twenty and The Gift of Peace in twenty
- 3:10Speaker 1: twenty two. Lu sale Ston plays Grandma Lynn. Lucille has
- 3:13Speaker 1: been acting since nineteen fifty nine. In Her credits include
- 3:16Speaker 1: Desperate Housewives and Freaky Friday. She also played Grandma on
- 3:21Speaker 1: one hundred and fifteen episodes Afresh Off the Boat for
- 3:24Speaker 1: a total of seventy acting roles. We're going to take
- 3:27Speaker 1: a quick break and we'll be right back to break
- 3:30Speaker 1: down this episode of Holidays We're back, and this episode
- 3:42Speaker 1: starts strong with a closet metaphor. I laughed out loud.
- 3:48Speaker 1: To be honest, I did too. I'm glad they called
- 3:50Speaker 1: it out. We have Ted and Marcus in the closet
- 3:54Speaker 1: and they're all kind of debating, like what do we
- 3:56Speaker 1: the whole what are we going to do about Grandma?
- 3:58Speaker 1: In I'm Sister Ellen, they make a joke about this
- 4:01Speaker 1: being the Asian reboot of The Birdcage when my dad
- 4:04Speaker 1: joined them, a joke that doesn't land with me because
- 4:06Speaker 1: I haven't seen that movie. I haven't either, but like,
- 4:09Speaker 1: there's a gay reference there. Here's what I think this
- 4:11Speaker 1: show does really well. We interviewed Jonathan Bennett and he
- 4:14Speaker 1: was like, I think what works for Hallmark is like
- 4:18Speaker 1: all of the characters are not gay, but they're and gay,
- 4:21Speaker 1: like they're a son. And I think they're doing a
- 4:24Speaker 1: really good job of putting the gay piece forward in
- 4:29Speaker 1: this episode. For talking about the challenges they're talking about
- 4:32Speaker 1: coming out, they're talking about the shame that they feel
- 4:36Speaker 1: when they're having to be in hiding. I really like
- 4:39Speaker 1: all of that. The say Grandma's like tiny but powerful,
- 4:43Speaker 1: and Marcus is like trying to psychoanalyze them and like,
- 4:46Speaker 1: here's all the reasons you can't stand up to her,
- 4:47Speaker 1: and they're like she's just scary man. And then he's like, uh, friends,
- 4:53Speaker 1: we are actually in a closet. We have problems here. Yeah.
- 4:56Speaker 1: I thought that was funny. I'm glad that he called
- 4:58Speaker 1: it at Dan because when they're first in there, I
- 5:01Speaker 1: was like, they're literally in the closet, Like I was like,
- 5:04Speaker 1: is this coincidental or is this on purpose? I loved it,
- 5:08Speaker 1: and it's actually a big, beautiful, spacious, well limb closet.
- 5:12Speaker 1: In our next scene, Marcus discovers Ted's not wearing his
- 5:15Speaker 1: engaging and he's really hurt and he's like, we're out,
- 5:18Speaker 1: We're proud. It hurts me. Sure you're not behaving that way,
- 5:22Speaker 1: and he's like, I don't want to disappoint her, like
- 5:24Speaker 1: I'm carrying on the family legacy. We're connected because we
- 5:27Speaker 1: work together. He calls himself the chosen one at one point,
- 5:32Speaker 1: and Marcus is really hurt because he was like, why
- 5:36Speaker 1: does our relationship change any of that? Yeah, it's a
- 5:39Speaker 1: great question. Ted's like, let's just wait until after Christmas,
- 5:44Speaker 1: and Marcus asks another great question, who is it easier
- 5:48Speaker 1: for easier for you, are easier for Grandma. Okay, so
- 5:50Speaker 1: if I can stuff you there. This is where my
- 5:53Speaker 1: head starts to like explode while I'm watching this this episode.
- 5:57Speaker 1: It's a really good episode. Yeah, but this is what
- 6:03Speaker 1: frustrates me about the holidays is like we're watching in
- 6:07Speaker 1: this episode, we're watching them keep this big family secret
- 6:10Speaker 1: from Grandma, right, and it's because they like even the
- 6:14Speaker 1: mom says that at one point, She's like, we just
- 6:17Speaker 1: want like everybody to get along. Everybody's like like keep
- 6:20Speaker 1: up all this like facade like it's the holidays. Yes,
- 6:23Speaker 1: I hate all of that. I hate living like pretending
- 6:29Speaker 1: that everything is okay because you have to get through
- 6:32Speaker 1: the holidays. Like I just find that so frustrating. Yeah,
- 6:35Speaker 1: I hear you. I mean this is a deeper conversation.
- 6:38Speaker 1: But I was saying to my husband, I was like,
- 6:41Speaker 1: why do we put ourselves in a position like we're
- 6:43Speaker 1: recording this Thanksgiving week and so it's top of mine
- 6:46Speaker 1: and I was like, why are we putting ourselves in
- 6:48Speaker 1: a position where we have to just kind of like
- 6:50Speaker 1: get through certain elements of the holidays. Who are we
- 6:53Speaker 1: doing that for? Yeah, why do we feel obligated to
- 6:56Speaker 1: do that. I don't know. You make a very good point.
- 6:59Speaker 1: I just it is a personal pet peep of mine
- 7:02Speaker 1: to be like everybody faking Christmas chair just because look,
- 7:06Speaker 1: we like I have, we have holiday experiences in our
- 7:09Speaker 1: house that are genuinely lovely, like people that we enjoy
- 7:12Speaker 1: spending time with, Like it feels like Christmas, and we
- 7:14Speaker 1: have holiday experiences where we leave and we're like, oh, wow,
- 7:17Speaker 1: that wasn't so bad. Nobody said anything horrible, we weren't
- 7:21Speaker 1: put in an uncomforted nobody cried. It's like, why are
- 7:24Speaker 1: we doing this to ourselves? Yeah? So when I think
- 7:28Speaker 1: of this episode, while I thought it was really good
- 7:32Speaker 1: and there was a lot of like forward progress for Hallmark,
- 7:36Speaker 1: yeah it was personally just a hard watch for me.
- 7:40Speaker 1: I don't disagree like being gay or being like hiding
- 7:45Speaker 1: who I who my sexuality or whatever like those who
- 7:49Speaker 1: have regular, regular families. Yeah, totally. So, Like I felt
- 7:53Speaker 1: for these people, for Ted and for Marcus in this situation,
- 7:58Speaker 1: but I was like so infuriated at like his parents
- 8:04Speaker 1: for like going on with the charade. I was too,
- 8:07Speaker 1: But his parents are dealing with some stuff too that
- 8:10Speaker 1: we'll get into Okay. This scene ends with like Marcus
- 8:14Speaker 1: moving his engagem ring to his other hand in solidarity,
- 8:17Speaker 1: like he and he and Ted are going to be
- 8:18Speaker 1: on the same team here, speaking of keeping up a facade,
- 8:22Speaker 1: a charade. The next scene, Mom's like prepping all of
- 8:26Speaker 1: Marcus's favorite dishes for Christmas, and that's going to be
- 8:28Speaker 1: a departure from their typical family Christmas dinner. And once
- 8:33Speaker 1: again they're afraid to tell nine to nine that they're
- 8:35Speaker 1: going to do it differently, and they're all afraid to
- 8:38Speaker 1: make these changes that are going to hurt Grandma. I'm like,
- 8:40Speaker 1: it's one meal. This rifling trigger deeply we have we
- 8:45Speaker 1: have a similar situation. It's so silly. I'm like, it's
- 8:48Speaker 1: one meal. You show up and you enjoy the meal
- 8:50Speaker 1: that is served to you at the family that is hosting.
- 8:52Speaker 1: That's the end. There should be no further discussion. Yeah
- 8:57Speaker 1: you want the roasted duck cool one? Yeah, yeah, I know.
- 9:02Speaker 1: You are heard, Megan, you were heard. God I found
- 9:05Speaker 1: a lot of this triggering because in the next scene,
- 9:08Speaker 1: Grandma's like, you know, she tells Marcus, like our Chinese
- 9:11Speaker 1: wedding tradition is very important, and I'm like what about
- 9:14Speaker 1: Marcus's traditions, Like we have two people getting married here. Yeah,
- 9:19Speaker 1: we just well we talked about this in Christmas with
- 9:22Speaker 1: the sayings, same kind of theme dealing with like blended
- 9:27Speaker 1: families or whatever. But yeah, you're right, like Marcus needs
- 9:30Speaker 1: to be recognized, like he's a person who has traditions
- 9:33Speaker 1: as well, and his aren't less special. No, And at
- 9:36Speaker 1: no point is there a discussion about like how can
- 9:38Speaker 1: we merge these Like what's I know this is a
- 9:41Speaker 1: show and we're supposed to like feel the drama, but
- 9:44Speaker 1: I'm like, why isn't the conversation like, oh, what wedding
- 9:47Speaker 1: traditions are important to you, so we can find a way.
- 9:49Speaker 1: Like my wedding, we had a DJ and we had
- 9:51Speaker 1: an Armenian band and they rotated every thirty minutes at
- 9:55Speaker 1: our wedding after dinner, Like there's a way to do
- 9:57Speaker 1: these things. And then and I's like we're having a
- 10:01Speaker 1: photo shoot. I thought this scene was really funny because
- 10:05Speaker 1: I thought Marcus and sister Ella played this very well
- 10:10Speaker 1: of like we are not a couple, we are super awkward.
- 10:14Speaker 1: They've just met, honestly, I mean I think that's right,
- 10:18Speaker 1: Like they've just met right, well, and Marcus doesn't like women,
- 10:21Speaker 1: so he's like, you know, in this he's supposed to
- 10:23Speaker 1: be like snuggling up on his future sister in law.
- 10:26Speaker 1: I do like when they like lean into it, Like
- 10:28Speaker 1: Ted goes up there and he's like, you got to
- 10:30Speaker 1: summon that high school theater the energy and then do
- 10:32Speaker 1: that Titanic pose. I liked that. I thought I thought
- 10:36Speaker 1: all that stuff was really funny. But then we go
- 10:38Speaker 1: to a fortune teller, Chung Chifu. The most notable thing
- 10:40Speaker 1: about this scene is the transition. They play this song
- 10:43Speaker 1: by Kaya Cash, but I think the song might be
- 10:45Speaker 1: called Wow, but it's like the tone for the for
- 10:48Speaker 1: a Hallmark show. It's fun. I loved it. But you
- 10:51Speaker 1: know what I notice about that scene. The music was
- 10:54Speaker 1: so incredibly was I had to turn it down because
- 10:58Speaker 1: I was like watching this at night and I'm watching
- 11:00Speaker 1: it at normal level, and then all of a sudden,
- 11:02Speaker 1: this super loud song comes on. I was like, oh
- 11:04Speaker 1: my yead, I gotta turn this down. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 11:07Speaker 1: But I thought this transition was interesting too, very interesting.
- 11:11Speaker 1: M I'm not familiar with that song by any means,
- 11:14Speaker 1: but I thought that sentiment was like Grandma's a battie,
- 11:20Speaker 1: Yes exactly. This fortune teller kind of does a little numerology,
- 11:25Speaker 1: Oh are your birthdays, say that you're a good match,
- 11:28Speaker 1: And the reveal at the end is that Ella actually
- 11:30Speaker 1: gave Ted's birthday mm, which actually I thought was a
- 11:34Speaker 1: very sweet moment in a series of like really frustrating ones. Yeah. Yeah,
- 11:38Speaker 1: there's a funny scene here where Grandma and the fortune
- 11:40Speaker 1: teller are like talking about Ted and Chinese, and Grandma's like,
- 11:44Speaker 1: get Ted doesn't like not being the center of attention
- 11:45Speaker 1: because he keeps like injecting himself in the conversation, which
- 11:49Speaker 1: is kind of shady, but I thought it was funny.
- 11:50Speaker 1: There's like a series like they go kick tasting, they
- 11:52Speaker 1: go to the florist intents like trying to control the
- 11:55Speaker 1: whole thing. Yeah, Marcus is having a little bit of
- 11:57Speaker 1: fun with it. Ted's like, I don't think carrot cake
- 11:59Speaker 1: is a wedding cake flavor, and Marcus is like, can
- 12:03Speaker 1: you make it extra carroty? Carried creak cake is a
- 12:06Speaker 1: great wedding cake flavor. I know, I was trying to think,
- 12:08Speaker 1: did my wedding cake have multiple flavors? Like because it
- 12:11Speaker 1: like you know, sometimes you do different tears. Yeah, I
- 12:13Speaker 1: think mine ones I can't remember though, I can't either.
- 12:16Speaker 1: But care cake is a great It goes great with
- 12:17Speaker 1: a cream cheese frosted. Yeah, I want some care cake
- 12:20Speaker 1: right now. I know it doesn't so good for him.
- 12:25Speaker 1: We go to our wardrobe fitting Ted gets somehow in
- 12:29Speaker 1: an outrageous sequin coat. Yes, I like your note here. Yeah,
- 12:33Speaker 1: so this is the moment it might note. I'm like,
- 12:35Speaker 1: is Grandpa clowning them? Like? Is she like? Come on,
- 12:39Speaker 1: I know what is going on here? I am hoping.
- 12:43Speaker 1: I am hoping. However, I've seen the end this episode,
- 12:47Speaker 1: but I am hoping she's gonna be like, yeah, I
- 12:50Speaker 1: knew all along, dummies. Yeah, why are you keeping it
- 12:53Speaker 1: from based on the end of the episode, I don't
- 12:54Speaker 1: think that's what was happening. There was this moment when
- 12:58Speaker 1: he comes out that I was like, oh, she knows.
- 13:02Speaker 1: She's like, let me make you increasingly more uncomfortable, right,
- 13:08Speaker 1: But then I just don't think so they had a
- 13:10Speaker 1: cool opportunity to make that the story. Yeah, there is
- 13:14Speaker 1: a touching moment between Ellen and Grandma. She tries on
- 13:16Speaker 1: like a red and gold dress. There's like a little
- 13:18Speaker 1: bit of compromise here like it's traditional ish, but it's
- 13:23Speaker 1: definitely more modern, and Grandma's like, I can be modern,
- 13:26Speaker 1: I can be cool. And then a old high school
- 13:30Speaker 1: friend of Ella's, Oh, runs into her, and we learned
- 13:32Speaker 1: that l she's Twitter famous for her tweets slam and
- 13:36Speaker 1: the patriarchy. Yeah, and now here she is like in
- 13:39Speaker 1: this wedding dress. When they take the selfie, they say
- 13:42Speaker 1: traditional gender roles, which is hilarious. Yeah. Later on Ella
- 13:45Speaker 1: tries to get out of it. She's like, it's a
- 13:46Speaker 1: social experiment. So this part where like the former classmates
- 13:51Speaker 1: sees her, I was like, oh, this is when like
- 13:53Speaker 1: your rebel lie starts to fall apart. But you can't
- 13:55Speaker 1: keep up these like things forever. Like I'm so frustrated
- 14:00Speaker 1: watching this episode. And we move on. Grandma gets Marcus
- 14:04Speaker 1: her mother's ring. Her son Steve didn't want it. Now
- 14:07Speaker 1: in the last episode, I want to point out that
- 14:09Speaker 1: you were like, it's the mom's mom. I stand corrected,
- 14:11Speaker 1: and I stand christ. Of course you got to point
- 14:13Speaker 1: it out to me. I saw that I was raw,
- 14:16Speaker 1: see in your notes way here at the top. At
- 14:19Speaker 1: this point, now Ted's like she's calling my bluff. It's
- 14:22Speaker 1: gone too far. We need to tell her the truth
- 14:24Speaker 1: and role reversal. Marcus is like, er, he's afraid, Like
- 14:30Speaker 1: I think he Marcus maybecause connected with her. He doesn't
- 14:32Speaker 1: want to hurt her, and so he interrupts and he's like,
- 14:35Speaker 1: I've made Ted my best man. Yes. Also I get fresh,
- 14:42Speaker 1: and Marcus has had like a full change of heart
- 14:44Speaker 1: and like the last twelve hours. Well, I think. Also
- 14:48Speaker 1: what happens is like in this conversation is when Grandma
- 14:51Speaker 1: like makes the announcement like I'm stepping down as CEO,
- 14:53Speaker 1: and I'm like, Grandma was still working up until this point. Yeah,
- 14:56Speaker 1: and I wish I had a better understand what their
- 14:57Speaker 1: job or her what their company. Yeah, I don't know,
- 15:01Speaker 1: but she names Ted's CEO. And I think what Marcus
- 15:03Speaker 1: is doing here is he doesn't want to ruin this moment,
- 15:05Speaker 1: like Ted has worked for this, he really wants this,
- 15:08Speaker 1: and so Marcus is like, well, I can save this
- 15:11Speaker 1: moment right back to the closet. Head in the closet,
- 15:15Speaker 1: Sed and Ella both the Ella Marcus, they're like, we
- 15:17Speaker 1: had our opportunity, and he's like, I don't want to
- 15:20Speaker 1: make you do it before you already. And also I
- 15:22Speaker 1: don't want to kill Grandma, And then I don't know,
- 15:24Speaker 1: Marcus like fake proposes to Ella like, will you be
- 15:27Speaker 1: my fake wife slash real sister in law? It's fine.
- 15:31Speaker 1: I'm just frustrated with these people. Me too, so frustrated.
- 15:34Speaker 1: Like I'm sitting here. He's old and tradual, but like,
- 15:37Speaker 1: you can be your true self sitting here, and that's
- 15:40Speaker 1: what I'm thinking. I'm like, Okay, are we not telling
- 15:42Speaker 1: Grandma because she's had this heart issue and she needs
- 15:46Speaker 1: to manage her stress. Are we not telling Grandma because
- 15:49Speaker 1: Grandma might have certain thoughts about people being gay? Yeah,
- 15:54Speaker 1: but yeah, that's the reason. I know. But do we
- 15:58Speaker 1: feel like we're skirting around it? Why don't so at all?
- 16:00Speaker 1: They think Ted being gay is going to kill Grandma
- 16:04Speaker 1: because she does not approve correct because she wants him
- 16:07Speaker 1: to marry a nice woman. Okay, she's very traditional, is
- 16:13Speaker 1: what we've been told. Now we'll get there. Then we
- 16:18Speaker 1: get back to more not telling Grandma things because Steve's like, Linda,
- 16:22Speaker 1: you gotta tell grandma about dinner. We're not having the
- 16:24Speaker 1: roast duck. And this conversation actually goes fine. She's like, oh,
- 16:29Speaker 1: it'll be a culinary adventure. She's not two stuck in
- 16:31Speaker 1: her ways, like she can appreciate Marcus and what his
- 16:36Speaker 1: whatever is. It was fine, And we go to the
- 16:39Speaker 1: wedding venue. Marcus and Ella have the most awkward tango ever. Yes,
- 16:45Speaker 1: but counterpoint, Marcus and Ted's dance hot was great. Yeah,
- 16:51Speaker 1: it was so enjoyable to watch. Yeah, you know me,
- 16:54Speaker 1: I love dancing with the stars. I know. I was
- 16:56Speaker 1: just like, Oh, their frame is so nice. They must
- 16:58Speaker 1: have really practiced. Yeah, it looked great. I thought it
- 17:01Speaker 1: was so good. Then we get a fun montage, like
- 17:03Speaker 1: we learned that Grandma has put an engagement announcement in
- 17:05Speaker 1: the paper, and ed and Marcus and Ella may get
- 17:09Speaker 1: their goal to steal every single buy and steal every
- 17:13Speaker 1: single newspaper in the tech question for you. We saw
- 17:17Speaker 1: that recently in a movie. In another movie. What movie
- 17:20Speaker 1: was that? There was like a weird like duck paper
- 17:23Speaker 1: stand paper machine thing? Do you remember? Yeah, it was
- 17:27Speaker 1: like a topic of conversation. And I can't remember what movie,
- 17:31Speaker 1: the Blueberry Farm movie. Oh, it might be where she's
- 17:34Speaker 1: trying to get the papers, but why, I can't remember,
- 17:37Speaker 1: But I think that I think that's it. I think
- 17:39Speaker 1: it is it. Yeah, it's kind of a funny, like
- 17:42Speaker 1: set to music montage. Yeah, I love a montage. Give
- 17:45Speaker 1: me a montage. The little Girl's like, stealing's bad, and
- 17:48Speaker 1: then they burn them all. And now we come around
- 17:50Speaker 1: to the night of the Storeroom, which we know was
- 17:52Speaker 1: happening in Christmas Eve. Really funny. Ella's freaking out and
- 17:55Speaker 1: Mom's like, is there a Twitter emergency? Which is hilarious
- 17:57Speaker 1: because that's the thing my husband says to me where
- 18:00Speaker 1: I pick up my phone, I'm like, oh my gosh,
- 18:01Speaker 1: you know what's I know this was filmed a long
- 18:04Speaker 1: time ago. Can we stop using Twitter? I know, I
- 18:07Speaker 1: know you do run the risk, right. Twitter is a
- 18:10Speaker 1: sink and shit man, I mean, and they're not gonna
- 18:12Speaker 1: use like well, blue Sky was available, but it's not.
- 18:15Speaker 1: I mean, that's like an up and coming thing about
- 18:17Speaker 1: like TikTok, but TikTok might be gone next month, so
- 18:20Speaker 1: who knows. And Twitter, I don't even know if Twitter
- 18:23Speaker 1: was Twitter at this point, like was it x? I
- 18:24Speaker 1: don't know. They do have kind of a nice moment
- 18:27Speaker 1: Ella and her mom where she's like, well, maybe someday
- 18:30Speaker 1: I do want love in my life. I just want
- 18:33Speaker 1: it on my term sure, which is great. See it's
- 18:36Speaker 1: fair that like Ella has told Grandma, this is my
- 18:40Speaker 1: this is my life, this is what I want out
- 18:42Speaker 1: of it, but like Ted doesn't get to tell her. Yeah,
- 18:45Speaker 1: but but Ella doesn't tell Grandma. Ella tells her mom,
- 18:48Speaker 1: Oh my bad, my bad, Yes, you're right. Marcus and
- 18:51Speaker 1: Ted have a conversation, and I think Marcus is like, well,
- 18:55Speaker 1: I kind of liked like planning the wedding because you
- 18:56Speaker 1: took over. I didn't get it, so i'd like, you know,
- 19:00Speaker 1: to have some input there. There's not really any blame placed.
- 19:04Speaker 1: He's like, I just let you do it because it
- 19:06Speaker 1: was easy. We got a Christmas dinner, and Marcus it's
- 19:08Speaker 1: really touched because Linda made all of his family favorites,
- 19:10Speaker 1: which were like kind of like Midwestern infused with Indian spices. Yeah,
- 19:17Speaker 1: Grandma says like she likes the change. And then she's like,
- 19:19Speaker 1: real upset. None of my friends. All the paper boom
- 19:22Speaker 1: lights go out. It happened. Oh that's lantern. So they're
- 19:27Speaker 1: like gout in the pouring rain, and Ted and Marcus
- 19:30Speaker 1: they find each other and they're like I found it,
- 19:31Speaker 1: and they have a moment and they kiss and then
- 19:33Speaker 1: Grandma sees to the window and has this real exaggerated
- 19:36Speaker 1: because you see her face. Yeah, so that's the moment
- 19:39Speaker 1: where I'm like, Grandma's not in Grandma's not in on it. Yeah,
- 19:44Speaker 1: like what I wanted from Grandma l is. I wanted
- 19:47Speaker 1: her a to to be clowning them, like they think
- 19:50Speaker 1: that's funnier. But I also wanted her to have the
- 19:54Speaker 1: moment where when they reveal it, for her to be
- 19:56Speaker 1: like I love you, like, yes, I had this vision
- 20:00Speaker 1: for you, but none of that changes, like I can
- 20:02Speaker 1: still want this beautiful future for you. I want her
- 20:06Speaker 1: to be hurt in the sense that like she thinks
- 20:08Speaker 1: like anything could change the way, like, yes, I like
- 20:12Speaker 1: tradition and yes I come from a very like traditional background,
- 20:15Speaker 1: but I still want to love who you are. Right. So,
- 20:18Speaker 1: going forward, we anticipate like the last episode of the
- 20:22Speaker 1: series is going to be like kind of like the
- 20:24Speaker 1: first episode where like everybody like all the families, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 20:29Speaker 1: how does this story move forward? Though? Yeah, I don't know,
- 20:32Speaker 1: it really doesn't unless Grandma comes back and she's like
- 20:35Speaker 1: yeah I know where she's like, oh, why would you
- 20:39Speaker 1: think I would love you any less? Yeah? Because why
- 20:41Speaker 1: would you think this would hurt me because otherwise than
- 20:44Speaker 1: if she's just angry. Yeah, there's no time to recover
- 20:47Speaker 1: for that on Christmas Day exactly. Yeah. So I am
- 20:50Speaker 1: interested to see how this comes together. But man, this
- 20:52Speaker 1: will like a frustrating watch, especially after really enjoying last
- 20:59Speaker 1: episode with the Hill family. I mean, I think this
- 21:02Speaker 1: is I really am liking the show. I think this
- 21:04Speaker 1: is a good episode, but it's it. I think it's
- 21:06Speaker 1: tackling some real issues. I think. I think that's why
- 21:10Speaker 1: it's so frustrating. Yeap, hey, thank you for listening to
