- 0:01[SPEAKER_02]: There is purpose in the play There is purpose in the play There is purpose in my life I mean I know it all But I know that is on my side So I'll get on him and remember you
- 0:32[SPEAKER_00]: Hello and welcome back to purpose in the blood podcast.
- 0:36[SPEAKER_00]: I am your host, Cheryl Evans, and today we are talking about starting with fear.
- 0:44[SPEAKER_00]: When I say starting with fear, I'm not just talking about starting a business with fear anything that you may be thinking about starting can mean you can have fear with it when it comes to starting over.
- 0:58[SPEAKER_00]: leaving a situation, going back to school, long, just starting anything that you have been putting off and I wanted to ask you guys, what is something an idea a dream or a goal that you have been thinking about, but you haven't started.
- 1:18[SPEAKER_00]: And what makes this scary for you to start it?
- 1:20[SPEAKER_00]: Some people say scary.
- 1:22[SPEAKER_00]: or they're fearful of starting and failing.
- 1:26[SPEAKER_00]: Some people might even say that they scared to start because of success.
- 1:30[SPEAKER_00]: When they get the success that they're looking for, will they be able to actually maintain that success as one of the fears that some people will now be honest, I often struggle with sometimes when I start something.
- 1:46[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's a natural reaction.
- 1:53[SPEAKER_00]: feel like I shouldn't be feeling like this is natural, especially when you're starting something that's brand new to you.
- 1:59[SPEAKER_00]: It's definitely something to think about, but I wouldn't let fear hold you back or hold me back in any situation, especially if it's something that's going to benefit you in the long run.
- 2:15[SPEAKER_00]: Fear is not a sign that you're doing something wrong and
- 2:19[SPEAKER_00]: You can be afraid of anything.
- 2:20[SPEAKER_00]: You can be afraid of some people are afraid of driving a car after an accident.
- 2:25[SPEAKER_00]: Some people are afraid of meeting new people in
- 2:29[SPEAKER_00]: started new relationships because of maybe past experience.
- 2:33[SPEAKER_00]: There's all types of different fears.
- 2:35[SPEAKER_00]: But today, I do want to focus a little bit about fear of starting a business because as you all know, high-style properties of DNA and health, it'll be two years on the 27th of October, so I am super excited about that milestone.
- 2:53[SPEAKER_00]: But the idea came to me,
- 2:57[SPEAKER_00]: Well, if you listen to my first podcast or mom passed away and a little bit before my mom passed away, I was like, I was working in a lab court and I was trying to figure out what it is that I was supposed to be doing like what is my purpose because I was tired of doing blood draws.
- 3:17[SPEAKER_00]: I was tired of going to work for somebody else and telling them whether they telling me when I could get out the work.
- 3:24[SPEAKER_00]: of my daughter was sick, missing school appointments, or doctors appointments, or just anything where we're handing me from, you know, being available for her.
- 3:38[SPEAKER_00]: So when it came to actually start purpose, DNA and health, I was like, how am I going to do this?
- 3:47[SPEAKER_00]: I was fearful because,
- 3:50[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, I've done other business ventures, but not of this capacity to where I was in total control.
- 3:57[SPEAKER_00]: I had to make sure I had all of my legal stuff that I had to make sure I had everything I needed to perform the test that I was going to provide.
- 4:09[SPEAKER_00]: Make sure I had the supplies.
- 4:12[SPEAKER_00]: Make sure I had all of the everything that you may need to start a business.
- 4:20[SPEAKER_00]: The other fear I had was, okay, what if I forget something?
- 4:24[SPEAKER_00]: What if I get audited and I don't have my paperwork, set up?
- 4:28[SPEAKER_00]: What if I messed up a DNA test, so I don't document something right or anything?
- 4:35[SPEAKER_00]: I had all kinds of fears when it came to it.
- 4:37[SPEAKER_00]: But in the back of my mind, I kept hollers and members, not to say to me, there's purpose in the blood.
- 4:44[SPEAKER_00]: Now at the time, of course, I was
- 4:47[SPEAKER_00]: So, I'm completely sure what that meant, but it was definitely something that I had to use to keep me driving forward.
- 4:56[SPEAKER_00]: I remember when I got my first patient, I was super nervous, but very excited about it because I was like, okay, this is something that is needed.
- 5:06[SPEAKER_00]: It did take a little while because when you're starting something new, nobody knows you and don't trust you, so you have to kind of build their trust in people.
- 5:18[SPEAKER_00]: My first client was, he said to me, I'll never forget, he said this was God sent from me to come here to you because everywhere else was not what we were looking for.
- 5:31[SPEAKER_00]: It cost too much money and he was super excited.
- 5:35[SPEAKER_00]: He left me amazing review, I'm going to talk about reviews in a minute.
- 5:40[SPEAKER_00]: But that was the experience and even though the whole time I was
- 5:46[SPEAKER_00]: Even after I sent it to the lab, I was scared.
- 5:49[SPEAKER_00]: I was like, okay, did I forget something?
- 5:51[SPEAKER_00]: I'm double-checking everything to make sure I have everything correct, but I do believe that I made a right decision in starting.
- 6:02[SPEAKER_00]: Even when I was starting, I did not have everything perfect.
- 6:06[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't have everything perfect.
- 6:11[SPEAKER_00]: I had what I need.
- 6:16[SPEAKER_00]: I started off as mobile, but this is how God works.
- 6:21[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't picture my business to be in a brick and mortar building.
- 6:26[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't have any thoughts of that.
- 6:28[SPEAKER_00]: I was like, I can't afford that.
- 6:30[SPEAKER_00]: It does not go into work.
- 6:32[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, we are not going to be able to do it.
- 6:35[SPEAKER_00]: But when God puts something in you and tells you to do something, he's going to provide everything that you need.
- 6:46[SPEAKER_00]: or it may seem like it's slow, it's a slow process, but you still will have everything you need.
- 6:52[SPEAKER_00]: So I ended up talking with one of my church members and one of her insurance company provided us at a location that he was studying.
- 7:07[SPEAKER_00]: And it was affordable for me to actually get office space in that location.
- 7:14[SPEAKER_00]: So I was like, okay, Lord, this is great.
- 7:17[SPEAKER_00]: This is going to be wonderful, I'm excited.
- 7:20[SPEAKER_00]: So, we did, there is another hurdle.
- 7:24[SPEAKER_00]: I was fearful of, how am I going to get everything I need for a office?
- 7:30[SPEAKER_00]: Because when you think about office, you think about the rent, you think about the supplies as you have to have on hand, the printers, the computers, the all of this stuff.
- 7:40[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm like, I don't know where this is going to come from.
- 7:43[SPEAKER_00]: Like how is this going to happen?
- 7:45[SPEAKER_00]: And I can't do not.
- 7:47[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't have to pay for a desk.
- 7:50[SPEAKER_00]: I think I bought my sisters that desktop computer like a couple months before that situation.
- 8:00[SPEAKER_00]: He provided a desk like a shelving for me to put my supplies in
- 8:10[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, my mom before she passed, she had a little refrigerator that I needed for my blood work space.
- 8:18[SPEAKER_00]: Now, first of not started.
- 8:19[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't need this.
- 8:20[SPEAKER_00]: This is just, I'm just telling you guys how got works.
- 8:23[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 8:24[SPEAKER_00]: Because when I first started, I did need a refrigerator because I wasn't doing blood samples.
- 8:29[SPEAKER_00]: I was just doing strictly DNA testing.
- 8:32[SPEAKER_00]: So, my mom passed away.
- 8:36[SPEAKER_00]: I kept every time I got to my dad's house, I would see this refrigerator, and I was like, any one who got an air refrigerator, is it using it?
- 8:45[SPEAKER_00]: I was like, I keep a little something in there, but I'm not necessarily using it.
- 8:49[SPEAKER_00]: I don't need it.
- 8:50[SPEAKER_00]: I said, well, can I have it?
- 8:51[SPEAKER_00]: Because I need it for my office.
- 8:53[SPEAKER_00]: I got to put my samples in there, and he gave me the refrigerator.
- 9:00[SPEAKER_00]: I was able to be blessed to have someone pay for my centrifuge for me.
- 9:04[SPEAKER_00]: to do my lives.
- 9:08[SPEAKER_00]: Is there so many different things that I have been blessed with to start my business, even with starting the paperwork and LLC, my cousin believed in me and got so much that she gave me the money to start my LLC.
- 9:23[SPEAKER_00]: So when God gives you something he's not giving you something that
- 9:31[SPEAKER_00]: with not without, like he's going to provide everything that you need in order to do what it tells you to do.
- 9:37[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, so don't worry about starting small or you feel like the financial difficulty will be too much.
- 9:48[SPEAKER_00]: Start small with what you can do.
- 9:50[SPEAKER_00]: If you can't afford to go all out and do everything at once, you don't have to start with the bare minimum of what it is that you need.
- 10:01[SPEAKER_00]: One of the things I think people don't talk about when it comes to entrepreneurship, because you are every person in the office, you are the administrator, you are the collector, you are the social media, you are the finance person, you have to do everything, you have to make sure that your expenses are painted, keep track of,
- 10:26[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, do I really need this?
- 10:28[SPEAKER_00]: Am I using this or can I let this part go to run my business?
- 10:33[SPEAKER_00]: You have to make self-promotion a go to everyday consistent thing.
- 10:41[SPEAKER_00]: Because if people don't see you posting consistently, they are not going to trust that you are doing what you're supposed to be doing.
- 10:49[SPEAKER_00]: And they're going to think that you're not even in business.
- 10:51[SPEAKER_00]: If you go a month, a week or two,
- 10:54[SPEAKER_00]: and you haven't posted anything on your social medias or keeping up with your business, Google Pages.
- 11:03[SPEAKER_00]: People are now going to believe that you're in business and it also will knock you down the ranking when it comes to them searching those keywords that your business provides.
- 11:17[SPEAKER_00]: So you have to also learn new technology and manage
- 11:21[SPEAKER_00]: managing administrative debt.
- 11:23[SPEAKER_00]: I'll not tell you I had to learn so much stuff when it comes to my business.
- 11:27[SPEAKER_00]: It is not even for any.
- 11:29[SPEAKER_00]: I pretty much already knew how to do websites, but it's different when it comes to your business because you have to think outside of the box is not just a something for people to read.
- 11:42[SPEAKER_00]: You have to make sure that the links for them to book the appointments and the pricing is right.
- 11:49[SPEAKER_00]: You have to make sure that you have a system set up to winner patient comes, you have to follow these steps to make sure that you do it correctly because if you do it differently, this is one thing I've learned.
- 12:03[SPEAKER_00]: I have this issue every time I got a new patient, I wouldn't follow the same protocol and I would miss something for the payment would be lagged or something like that because I didn't follow the proper steps.
- 12:18[SPEAKER_00]: So those are some things that I don't think people talk about when it comes to you starting the business.
- 12:23[SPEAKER_00]: You have to make sure that you have everything set up.
- 12:28[SPEAKER_00]: And don't worry about making mistakes when it comes to it.
- 12:31[SPEAKER_00]: This is natural.
- 12:32[SPEAKER_00]: We are all humans when it comes to anything.
- 12:36[SPEAKER_00]: Making mistakes are natural.
- 12:40[SPEAKER_00]: The only thing is that if you make a mistake,
- 12:43[SPEAKER_00]: You have to make sure that you correct that mistake so that your client still gives the same results, you know, you can't you don't want to Be so down that you make a mistake and then you quit.
- 12:56[SPEAKER_00]: That's not what we do here.
- 12:57[SPEAKER_00]: We are not winners.
- 12:59[SPEAKER_00]: We keep going and we keep pushing.
- 13:03[SPEAKER_00]: So what do you do when you have months that are slow and then you have months that are good.
- 13:11[SPEAKER_00]: You keep going.
- 13:12[SPEAKER_00]: Like I said, God provides, even at my slomers, there's never been a time where something didn't get paid.
- 13:20[SPEAKER_00]: That might be a little late, but something, it always gets paid.
- 13:26[SPEAKER_00]: You have to be able to wear multiple hats because you can't afford to hire anybody right now.
- 13:34[SPEAKER_00]: Right now, it's not a time for me to hire someone because
- 13:39[SPEAKER_00]: even though I've been a business for two years, is not, it doesn't make sense to hire someone and they're not in the campaign, then, because I want to do all.
- 13:50[SPEAKER_00]: But the good thing about being an entrepreneur is you can make your own schedule.
- 13:55[SPEAKER_00]: Like you don't have to be consistently doing something every day.
- 14:01[SPEAKER_00]: I have my business set-up by appointments only.
- 14:05[SPEAKER_00]: And it also helps me keep track of,
- 14:08[SPEAKER_00]: who's coming, when they're coming and how often people are coming, it's definitely a must, okay?
- 14:18[SPEAKER_00]: So, what happens when fear is follows you?
- 14:22[SPEAKER_00]: This is something that we have to talk about because yes, you start, but the fear is still going to constantly be there, especially when you're trying to scale and go higher and get more,
- 14:38[SPEAKER_00]: Um, clientele, you're going to have issues where you think that your business won't survive.
- 14:45[SPEAKER_00]: You think you're going to be making wrong decisions.
- 14:48[SPEAKER_00]: You think you're going to be investing money and losing it, um, you're going to be, think you may be expanding too soon, being seen and judged to succeeded in having greater responsibility.
- 15:01[SPEAKER_00]: All of those are fears that are in normal.
- 15:05[SPEAKER_00]: The goal is to reach the milestone in your business and you're going to still find yourself questioning that are you doing enough?
- 15:15[SPEAKER_00]: I ask myself every day am I doing enough?
- 15:18[SPEAKER_00]: Do I feel like there is something else that I could do for my business for it to grow?
- 15:23[SPEAKER_00]: But I want you guys to always remember even though we have fear, you have to go back to second Timothy when it's seven
- 15:34[SPEAKER_00]: of love and a sound mind.
- 15:35[SPEAKER_00]: I try to remember this constantly, even outside of business because fear of creeping in every situation.
- 15:45[SPEAKER_00]: But the power got already provided the power for us to do what we need.
- 15:52[SPEAKER_00]: OK, love, you have to walk in love in every situation, every crying, every customer,
- 16:00[SPEAKER_00]: every service that you provide walk in love because if you don't walk in love when you have an impatient or someone come to you for a service and your attitude is all jacked up.
- 16:12[SPEAKER_00]: It is going to be very bad and you're going to get a better view and then you won't get any more client.
- 16:19[SPEAKER_00]: So always walk in love and a sound line.
- 16:23[SPEAKER_00]: Keep your mind settled.
- 16:26[SPEAKER_00]: Don't worry about
- 16:31[SPEAKER_00]: I think sometimes we think so much about tomorrow and what we're happy with what could happen or what we should have done in the past even that we sometimes get sidetracked and we let fear hold us down because you are afraid and I gave us a
- 17:00[SPEAKER_00]: Keep our minds focused on God and on what he's supposed to be.
- 17:05[SPEAKER_00]: What we are supposed to be doing, what he's telling us to do.
- 17:08[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm waiting worried so much about what I'm doing wrong or why God trusted me to this, even though I feel nervous, you're going to feel nervous, especially if God gives you something, you're going to feel completely hurt.
- 17:29[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know nothing about nothing, what am I doing?
- 17:31[SPEAKER_00]: Even with this podcast, sometimes I'm like, Lord, why are you giving me this?
- 17:35[SPEAKER_00]: Cause then I don't know nothing about talking to people.
- 17:38[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I mean, anybody can give advice.
- 17:42[SPEAKER_00]: That's cool, but I always want to make sure that I'm giving sound advice.
- 17:47[SPEAKER_00]: And that I'm not leading people or straight in any type of way.
- 17:53[SPEAKER_00]: So that's one of my things that I want to make sure that I'm always doing.
- 17:58[SPEAKER_00]: So when God trust me with something I want to make sure that I fulfill it to the fullest, or to the best of my ability.
- 18:06[SPEAKER_00]: Because I'm not perfect.
- 18:08[SPEAKER_00]: I say this a million times.
- 18:10[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not perfect.
- 18:11[SPEAKER_00]: I try.
- 18:13[SPEAKER_00]: That doesn't mean that I don't try to be, I'm not going to say I try to be perfect.
- 18:18[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going, I try to be better every day.
- 18:23[SPEAKER_00]: good and what God wants me to be.
- 18:26[SPEAKER_00]: But as humans, we will fall short sometimes, but we have to try to keep it under control.
- 18:34[SPEAKER_00]: So, stepping out on faith may look difficult.
- 18:40[SPEAKER_00]: It may be hard, but it is so worth it, guys, when you actually do it, it is so worth it because you have that fulfill me like okay.
- 18:52[SPEAKER_00]: I did accomplish this and I'm so so so happy to be reaching two years because when I first started, I was like, oh my goodness, especially in the slow moments, the slow moments you're going to be like, this is not going to work, I don't know if this is what I'm supposed to be doing, how am I going to get through this, what once you keep going and you just take it day by day.
- 19:19[SPEAKER_00]: That's what I do.
- 19:19[SPEAKER_00]: I take a day by day if I don't have any clients one day.
- 19:22[SPEAKER_00]: The next day I'll have two or three or four or even one.
- 19:27[SPEAKER_00]: I'm grateful and thankful for everyone of my clients that have come through purpose DNA.
- 19:34[SPEAKER_00]: And I pray God blesses them in every way possible.
- 19:38[SPEAKER_00]: So also, when it comes to wisdom and preparation, it's important.
- 19:46[SPEAKER_00]: You definitely lean on God.
- 19:48[SPEAKER_00]: with it.
- 19:49[SPEAKER_00]: I don't want you to always be so fearful of starting or you use in preparation as an excuse to start.
- 20:03[SPEAKER_00]: Now don't get me wrong.
- 20:04[SPEAKER_00]: You can prep for it.
- 20:07[SPEAKER_00]: And that's part of starting,
- 20:18[SPEAKER_00]: sort of starting something to that way because you can research and get everything set up.
- 20:24[SPEAKER_00]: But if you don't start advertising and telling people what it is that you do, it's not, you haven't completely started.
- 20:32[SPEAKER_00]: You have to make sure that you are prepared, don't get me wrong.
- 20:40[SPEAKER_00]: But I don't want you to use preparation or a finances as a way to
- 20:49[SPEAKER_00]: not started all.
- 20:51[SPEAKER_00]: Because like I said, I didn't have the money to even start my LSE for this business.
- 20:56[SPEAKER_00]: But that provided it.
- 20:59[SPEAKER_00]: So, in that sense, I want you guys to be, keep your eyes open.
- 21:06[SPEAKER_00]: For if you know there's something that God is telling you to do when you don't have it right now to do it, keep eye open of the things and the blessing that that gives you to,
- 21:19[SPEAKER_00]: because this is his blessing, this is his way of saying, hey, do this now, here's what it is, you have it.
- 21:26[SPEAKER_00]: Now just gave it to you, utilize it, you know, don't just use it on or do something else with it, especially that's another one with your time.
- 21:36[SPEAKER_00]: It got to do something and you are not utilizing your time to perform what needs to be done
- 21:48[SPEAKER_00]: procrastination.
- 21:50[SPEAKER_00]: And I will be a testament that if you don't do it, when God gives it to you, He will give it to somebody else because his mission will not be done.
- 21:59[SPEAKER_00]: If He gives you a mission, somebody is going to fulfill it.
- 22:03[SPEAKER_00]: And then you are going to look back and say,
- 22:07[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I was supposed to do that.
- 22:09[SPEAKER_00]: They took my idea and talked to you at all.
- 22:12[SPEAKER_00]: But they took your idea.
- 22:14[SPEAKER_00]: So you don't want to be one of those people that are like, oh, man, I should have did that.
- 22:21[SPEAKER_00]: I could have been where they are right now.
- 22:23[SPEAKER_00]: So take those steps and do it.
- 22:26[SPEAKER_00]: So what I would tell myself before opening purpose
- 22:36[SPEAKER_00]: trust the process, because it's definitely a process you have to trust the process in starting anything over whether it be business, starting a new life, new relationship, new move into a new place, you have to trust the process, and nobody knows what tomorrow may bring, but if you got God in front of you, everything was going to be okay, even in hard times,
- 23:03[SPEAKER_00]: I've been through some hard times these past a couple months and it has been difficult, but I know God got me and everything is going to be just fine.
- 23:16[SPEAKER_00]: Only the business can change you as a person.
- 23:20[SPEAKER_00]: You may come across people.
- 23:22[SPEAKER_00]: or your family and friends that are like, all you do is work.
- 23:26[SPEAKER_00]: You know, never just have fun or hang out or anything like that or more, you know?
- 23:32[SPEAKER_00]: If it's not that you don't want to, trust me.
- 23:34[SPEAKER_00]: I would love to just go relax and be with my family and friends.
- 23:38[SPEAKER_00]: And, you know, enjoy just not doing anything business, but that's not the reality.
- 23:47[SPEAKER_00]: Some people don't see your goals.
- 23:49[SPEAKER_00]: and the dreams that you have, the way that you do.
- 23:52[SPEAKER_00]: So they're not going to value what's you value.
- 23:56[SPEAKER_00]: And you have to be okay with that.
- 24:00[SPEAKER_00]: They're not gonna understand.
- 24:03[SPEAKER_00]: Even if you bring in some people to work with you in the beginning to start your business or start your journey or goals or anything, if they are supposed to be assisting you
- 24:19[SPEAKER_00]: idea.
- 24:20[SPEAKER_00]: They're not going to put as much effort into it as you would.
- 24:28[SPEAKER_00]: I have seen this before.
- 24:30[SPEAKER_00]: I've had some people that were helping me in the beginning, but because it wasn't there, they were not obligated.
- 24:39[SPEAKER_00]: Again, they're not obligated, especially if they're not getting paid.
- 24:49[SPEAKER_00]: You know be there in your business the way that you would.
- 24:52[SPEAKER_00]: So you can't be upset with them about that.
- 24:55[SPEAKER_00]: You just have to understand.
- 24:57[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 25:00[SPEAKER_00]: God gave it to me.
- 25:01[SPEAKER_00]: He gave me everything I need to fulfill this even inside of me financially physically.
- 25:08[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm going to do what needs to be done.
- 25:10[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 25:12[SPEAKER_00]: Um, there is absolutely nothing that I would have done.
- 25:17[SPEAKER_00]: differently when it comes to started my business.
- 25:20[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think that I could have done anything differently as far as started my business because everything flowed so easily.
- 25:29[SPEAKER_00]: But it was, it was slow moments, but it's everything came together.
- 25:35[SPEAKER_00]: So I wouldn't, I wouldn't start anything.
- 25:37[SPEAKER_01]: I wouldn't do it over differently if I could.
- 25:46[SPEAKER_00]: to be fearful play.
- 25:48[SPEAKER_00]: I don't want you to be fearful to wear a stop soon.
- 25:52[SPEAKER_00]: You have to do it in fear.
- 25:55[SPEAKER_01]: You have to do it in fear, so I'm gonna ask you this question.
- 26:03[SPEAKER_00]: Had you allowed fear to stop you, what experience and opportunities would you have missed?
- 26:11[SPEAKER_00]: What would you have missed?
- 26:12[SPEAKER_00]: I want you to think about that
- 26:17[SPEAKER_00]: It could be something as simple as you being fearful of going to an event that you feel like that you were not qualified to be in the room for, but had you not went to that event?
- 26:31[SPEAKER_00]: Who would you not have met?
- 26:33[SPEAKER_00]: What connections would you not have met?
- 26:37[SPEAKER_00]: Who would have not known that you had this business that could be helpful for them?
- 26:43[SPEAKER_00]: I want you to think about that because you don't want to miss an opportunity that would help you in the longer and I'm going to be straight on is I have not went to events or done certain things not only because of fear but because sometimes I just don't feel like going and that's being straight honest is honest, but it's also more so.
- 27:12[SPEAKER_00]: This is one of my flaws when it comes to the business.
- 27:15[SPEAKER_00]: I am a introvert, but an extrovert at the same time.
- 27:21[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm an introvert, like if I don't have to go do something, I won't do it.
- 27:27[SPEAKER_00]: But when I get there, like if I do go to an event, I do talk to people, me and go talk, you know, connections and everything.
- 27:36[SPEAKER_00]: So it's different, but at the same time being an introvert,
- 27:42[SPEAKER_00]: meter, oh my social meter.
- 27:46[SPEAKER_00]: It kind of fades out quickly.
- 27:48[SPEAKER_00]: And yeah, I, I, I, I go get what I need.
- 27:53[SPEAKER_00]: And then I leave.
- 27:55[SPEAKER_00]: And I probably shouldn't do that.
- 27:56[SPEAKER_00]: I'm working on it guys.
- 27:58[SPEAKER_00]: Remember this podcast is the honest work and progress for me.
- 28:04[SPEAKER_00]: We learn it together.
- 28:05[SPEAKER_00]: Like, you fix and we're going to be fixing these things,
- 28:13[SPEAKER_00]: So, I want to leave you with some questions, some ideas.
- 28:22[SPEAKER_00]: We're not questions.
- 28:23[SPEAKER_00]: There's just some things that I want you to think about before we close this about.
- 28:29[SPEAKER_00]: One thing I wanted to remember, you don't have to know everything before taking the first step.
- 28:33[SPEAKER_00]: You really don't.
- 28:35[SPEAKER_00]: Researching it and getting it started is the first step.
- 28:40[SPEAKER_00]: The second step would be actually execution.
- 28:43[SPEAKER_00]: Like getting it done.
- 28:47[SPEAKER_00]: Be okay with starting small.
- 28:49[SPEAKER_00]: You don't have to have the brand new cars or the big office space.
- 28:54[SPEAKER_00]: Excuse me.
- 28:55[SPEAKER_00]: You don't have to have the big office space or tons of money to get all the everything that you may need eventually.
- 29:05[SPEAKER_00]: preparation matters, but it doesn't have to be perfect.
- 29:09[SPEAKER_00]: If you used to get started and you realized, oh, I don't have that for my clients, or, you know, I need to just go ahead and make it, right-handed, or get it done, not.
- 29:20[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, get what you needed in that time that you realized that you don't have it.
- 29:25[SPEAKER_00]: And make sure you keep talking to people that have other businesses, because some people may be running the same businesses that you have.
- 29:33[SPEAKER_00]: They're doing it so much easier than you're doing it.
- 29:37[SPEAKER_00]: It's okay to talk to people and get help.
- 29:40[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, making mistakes doesn't automatically mean you failed.
- 29:45[SPEAKER_00]: You're going to make mistakes in your business.
- 29:47[SPEAKER_00]: Nobody that starts a business does everything exactly perfectly.
- 29:53[SPEAKER_00]: They might think they do, but it's gonna be at least one moment where, oh, I got a fixed date.
- 29:57[SPEAKER_00]: You know, it's okay.
- 29:59[SPEAKER_00]: And it's okay to be.
- 30:01[SPEAKER_00]: beginner.
- 30:02[SPEAKER_00]: If it's something that you have never done before, let's totally okay to just keep going, keep learning.
- 30:09[SPEAKER_00]: Because even in business right now, let me be in in two years.
- 30:13[SPEAKER_00]: I'm still learning new stuff.
- 30:14[SPEAKER_00]: I'm still figuring out that there's different labs that I could possibly partner with.
- 30:19[SPEAKER_00]: There's different ways to market.
- 30:23[SPEAKER_00]: There's you are never ever ever ever to old to stop learning.
- 30:30[SPEAKER_00]: something.
- 30:31[SPEAKER_00]: I grandma said, you ain't never too old to stop.
- 30:34[SPEAKER_00]: Even at her old age, she was still learning and teaching me everything I need to know.
- 30:41[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 30:42[SPEAKER_00]: And then the most important thing, sometimes you just have to do something afraid.
- 30:49[SPEAKER_00]: You have to go through it.
- 30:51[SPEAKER_00]: And fear is
- 30:53[SPEAKER_00]: pretty much not even real if you want to be honest and think about it because you're fearful of something that has not even had been here.
- 31:02[SPEAKER_00]: So why be afraid of it?
- 31:05[SPEAKER_00]: Okay?
- 31:07[SPEAKER_00]: Like we are we are bending the God do not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, of love and of style mine.
- 31:12[SPEAKER_00]: So keep that in mind.
- 31:16[SPEAKER_00]: So here's my last question for you.
- 31:17[SPEAKER_00]: I want you to
- 31:21[SPEAKER_00]: What is something you've been wanting to start if you've been allowing fear to talk you out of it?
- 31:29[SPEAKER_00]: I want you to think about that.
- 31:31[SPEAKER_00]: You know there's something that you was supposed to start, but you have not started it because of fear because you think you don't have to find it because you think you're not qualified because you think that you have to have everything put together before you can start.
- 31:46[SPEAKER_00]: Think about that.
- 31:47[SPEAKER_00]: And then, come let me know.
- 31:51[SPEAKER_00]: Let me know what it is.
- 31:53[SPEAKER_00]: And then I want you to tell me that you're starting it.
- 31:56[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 31:58[SPEAKER_00]: When I say starting it, that doesn't mean that I want you to jump right in and you don't have any preparation or know how.
- 32:05[SPEAKER_02]: Get the education if you need to get the education for the first time.
- 32:09[SPEAKER_00]: Thank you for joining me.
- 32:11[SPEAKER_00]: Joining me with purpose in the blood podcast I pray that it has been a very blessed day and I will see you on the next broadcast.
- 32:39[SPEAKER_02]: There is purpose in the blood There is purpose in the pain There is purpose in my life I may not know it all But I know God is on my side
- 33:24[SPEAKER_02]: Black.
