- 0:02What if the restlessness you've been trying to silence isn't a
- 0:06problem to fix, but an invitation from God to step into
- 0:09more? Today on Unmasked, we're talking
- 0:12about divine discontentment, hearing God's voice with
- 0:15clarity, and what it really looks like to live a prophetic
- 0:19life that impacts both faith and culture.
- 0:32Welcome to Unmasked, where we take off the filters and get
- 0:34real about faith, failure, and finding freedom.
- 0:37I'm your host, Wesley Farnsworth, a dad, veteran,
- 0:40author, and a man who's learned that God does his best work in
- 0:44the middle of our mess. Each episode will have honest
- 0:47conversations with people who have walked through addiction,
- 0:50pain, or doubt, and with pastors, leaders, and everyday
- 0:53believers who are learning to live and lead authentically.
- 0:58So take a breath, pull up a chair, and let's get real.
- 1:01This is unmasked. Today's guest is Charity Majors,
- 1:09A prophetic voice best selling author and ministry leader who
- 1:12helps believers translate spiritual insight into real
- 1:16world impact. As a founder of Meant for More
- 1:21Ministries, Charity equips high capacity leaders to develop
- 1:25spiritual intelligence, or SQ, so that they can discern God's
- 1:28voice, understand the language of the Spirit, and lead with
- 1:32supernatural clarity in both ministry and the marketplace.
- 1:36With more than 15 years of leadership experience and a
- 1:39message forged through deep loss, growth, and obedience,
- 1:44Charity of Bridge bridges the gap between spiritual activation
- 1:48and cultural influence. Her latest book, Language of the
- 1:51Spirit, challenges believers to stop settling for good enough
- 1:57and step fully into the calling that we were created for.
- 2:01Whether speaking to entrepreneurs, pastors, or
- 2:04everyday believers, Charity's heart is to help people
- 2:09recognize that feeling stuck may actually be God's invitation
- 2:13into their meant for more season.
- 2:17I got through it. Holy cow, Charity, thanks so
- 2:23much for joining us here today on Unmasked and being willing to
- 2:27Share your story with the audience.
- 2:31Hey Wes, thanks for having me. I'm excited to connect and just
- 2:36to love on your audience and a poor end to them today, so
- 2:40thanks for having me. Absolutely, I am looking forward
- 2:43to it. So I guess without further ado,
- 2:46why don't you give us a glimpse into your, your upbringing and
- 2:50kind of how your your life has kind of unfolded to get to where
- 2:55we are today. Yeah, well, I think I just want
- 2:59to if you're it's OK with you and for the listeners, if we
- 3:02just want to dive right into into the deep end of the middle
- 3:06of one of my many messes and what I it's also what I like to
- 3:12call my meant for more moment. I actually have a podcast as
- 3:16well. It's called meant for more.
- 3:17So shout out to fellow podcasters and people that are
- 3:21called to be a voice and help shape the narrative of culture.
- 3:24But one of my meant for more moments actually started in this
- 3:31is almost 10 years ago and I just remember sitting on the
- 3:36cold tile in the on my bathroom floor, ugly crying and my
- 3:42husband and I, we were journeying through.
- 3:45But I like to call. I'm sure you've heard this
- 3:47before, but it was the dark night of the soul for us.
- 3:51We were in a deep season of lost.
- 3:52I lost my grandpa and then my grandma 19 days later.
- 3:57And there were some people who I admired.
- 4:00I was a grandpa's girl. They really helped raise me.
- 4:04And and then shortly after that, we journeyed through the loss of
- 4:08a child. And it was one of the deepest,
- 4:13darkest seasons. That brought up the big
- 4:18questions of, you know, I just remember sitting on my bathroom
- 4:22floor with, you know, tears running down my face and asking
- 4:27God, why me? Why us?
- 4:29Why this baby? Why this dream?
- 4:33And it like, why am I even here? And are you even good?
- 4:39And it just brought up these big these big questions that I was
- 4:43really seeking the answers for in one of the deepest, darkest
- 4:47seasons of my life. And, and I just remember sitting
- 4:51there and in the middle of in the middle of my mess, in the
- 4:55middle of my brokenness, in the middle of my shame, the presence
- 4:59of God, he just came and he met me and he wrapped, he wrapped
- 5:04around me like what it says in Psalms.
- 5:06The wrap around presence of the Holy Spirit came and comforted
- 5:09me. And it felt like a warm blanket
- 5:11on the, you know, in the midst of that cold bathroom tile and
- 5:15in the midst of all of my brokenness, that I felt like my
- 5:18body was broken, that our, you know, our future was broken.
- 5:21Our hopes and dreams were broken.
- 5:23He actually didn't try and fix me.
- 5:26And in the midst of my shame and in the midst of hot feeling so
- 5:29alone, he didn't give me a seven step to get out of my stuff.
- 5:34He actually revealed himself and gave me a deeper revelation of
- 5:39who he was. And it was in that season,
- 5:43actually, I, I mean, I don't wish that, you know, loss on
- 5:48anyone and that kind of a season on anyone.
- 5:51And looking back after going through grief counseling and
- 5:56trauma counseling and inner healing and pastoral care, and,
- 6:01you know, just really processing that loss with, with the Lord
- 6:07and with friends and with healthy community, There's such
- 6:12a beautiful gift that came out of that really hard season.
- 6:16And besides the closeness of the Lord, like I feel like there is,
- 6:20there are seasons where the closeness of, of his presence
- 6:23can only be found in the wilderness.
- 6:25It can only be found in the hardest of places.
- 6:31He began to give me this unique perspective that we are actually
- 6:35all here on purpose so he doesn't make mistakes, that
- 6:39there are millions of pieces and parts that have to come together
- 6:43for life to be sustained. And so Wes, it's not a mistake
- 6:46that you're here. It's not a mistake that I'm
- 6:48here. It's not a mistake that even you
- 6:49as a listener, that you're here. You know, God doesn't make
- 6:53mistakes. And he had this dream for each
- 6:55of us in his heart. And he said yes.
- 6:58And all of history, you know, as he peers over all of the
- 7:02timeline, all, you know, all, all of eternities, that actually
- 7:05this is a dream. This is a heaven sent solution
- 7:08that I'm going to send to the earth.
- 7:09I'm going to put some skin on it.
- 7:10I'm going to wrap a dream around it and I'm going to send this to
- 7:13earth. And and so there was something
- 7:16in me that walked out of that season with a deep, deep
- 7:20conviction of the miracle that every single one of us is and
- 7:23the destiny that each one of us carries.
- 7:28And I think there's a lot of times that people we can teach
- 7:31what we know, but we can actually impart what we've
- 7:34experienced. And, you know, there's a lot of
- 7:37university professors who are, you know, teaching about
- 7:39business who have never had a business.
- 7:41And it's very different than when you actually learn from
- 7:44someone who has actually lived what they're teaching and lived
- 7:48what they have experienced and they're imparting that wisdom
- 7:50and they're imparting that part of their journey.
- 7:53And so for me, this is actually where it kind of the meant for
- 7:56more movement and message was built.
- 8:00And from there, my book and podcast and some, you know, it's
- 8:03just ministry type things and, and went through a season where
- 8:08God really revealed himself to me and his voice.
- 8:13And it really it just unlocked this whole, this whole learning
- 8:18the language of the spirit. So that was kind of dive right
- 8:23into the middle of my mess instead of a whole background
- 8:26story. But besides that, I'm a
- 8:30recovering plant killer. I can officially keep plants
- 8:32alive, but I'm a a wife and a mom and a lover of Jesus, and I
- 8:39will waste my life at the at the foot, at the feet of Jesus and
- 8:46equipping believers to recognize and to respond to His voice so
- 8:52that they can live in their God-given identity and walk in
- 8:54their destiny to make earth more like heaven.
- 8:59I love that, you know, it's one of the things that I say and I
- 9:02matter of fact, I say it during the introduction of this show is
- 9:04God does his best work in the middle of our mess because it's
- 9:08and when we're in the middle of our mess is the moment that we
- 9:11are most likely to realize, Hey, I can't do this.
- 9:15Like I'm I literally, literally am powerless.
- 9:18I need you to take over and and we turn to the control over to
- 9:23the father and we allow him to to take control.
- 9:28And we start to realize that, hey, life is better when he's in
- 9:31control. But then you then you have the
- 9:34day-to-day fight of releasing control because it's, you know,
- 9:39we get to the other side of the mess and we're like, OK, now I'm
- 9:42going to take control back. You know, thanks, I got it from
- 9:44here. And then mess ends up happening
- 9:46again, right. So it's a day.
- 9:49It's a day-to-day, moment by moment decision to release
- 9:53control and just let him drive the bus because he knows where
- 9:58we're going better than we do. Yeah, for sure.
- 10:01That definitely is a daily surrender and a daily yielding
- 10:05to his leadership over over our own and that can be so hard
- 10:11sometimes. Yeah, can indeed.
- 10:16You know you you talk about divine discontentment, and so
- 10:23how can you tell the difference between holy restlessness and
- 10:28unhealthy dissatisfaction? This is such a good question,
- 10:33the holy restlessness or the discontentment.
- 10:38So I like to, I like to talk about or I like to call this
- 10:44like the, the pace of grace. And we can kind of tell when
- 10:50there's grace on something versus when we are forcing
- 10:55something or trying to muscle and make something happen.
- 10:59Now I'll give you an example. So actually about a year, a year
- 11:02and a half ago, I started to sense that there was grace that
- 11:09was shifting in my life. I was in business.
- 11:11I had a a nationwide company that we did networking groups
- 11:15for women in business. And I loved it.
- 11:17And it was a secular company, you know, but I snuck in, like,
- 11:21Kingdom principles in there and like, my hope and prayer over
- 11:25every single networking group we were in, you know, different
- 11:27markets and different chapters around the nation was, you know,
- 11:30among women as it is in heaven and in business as it is in
- 11:33heaven. You know, we called it, you
- 11:36know, part of our culture. We had different, you know,
- 11:39secular words as far as like, yeah.
- 11:40And a culture of empowerment and collaboration and all this
- 11:44stuff. But it's like these Kingdom
- 11:45values, they get to sneak in there.
- 11:46So definitely marketplace ministry.
- 11:49And I had started to sense the shifting of grace.
- 11:53Now grace is this supernatural empowerment of the Spirit of God
- 11:59where it just is like doors are open.
- 12:02You like things are they they are easy as far as you are
- 12:10excited. You're lit up like you can do
- 12:12something and it is taking you, you know, like what, what might
- 12:17take other people a long time to do.
- 12:20You just like you, even even if it's hard, like you enjoy the
- 12:23hard you enjoy the grit of it like you're willing to suffer or
- 12:27to be in the grit, if you will, when God's grace is there and
- 12:32when God's grace shifts, it's interesting if you start to
- 12:36recognize like doors start to close it.
- 12:40It almost is like like at energy like starts to get like sucked
- 12:47out of the assignment or sucked out of the room at things that
- 12:50used to be easy a month ago, three months ago, six months
- 12:54ago, start to get hard and they start, you start to like dread
- 12:59and you start to just like it. It just what used to come easy
- 13:06does not come easy anymore. And it's because God is like
- 13:10starting to shift where his grace is going.
- 13:13And so this divine discontentment starts to happen
- 13:17when it when we start to actually recognize that the
- 13:20grace of God is shifting for a season or for an assignment.
- 13:25Now there is the so the difference of what this divine
- 13:29discontentment compared to this like although maybe I'm not
- 13:34feeling good enough or I'm comparing myself to other people
- 13:37and their season and this worldly.
- 13:40What was the word that you called it?
- 13:44The unhealthy dissatisfaction. The unhealthy dissatisfaction is
- 13:48that the we can actually start to slip into comparison.
- 13:52So for example, like I'm, I'm a mom and obviously like my season
- 13:56is very, very different with where God has me currently
- 14:01compared to other people who maybe they're going faster or
- 14:05farther or they are doing way more stuff and they're doing all
- 14:08this, all that, all these things, but they don't have
- 14:10kids. Their season is very, very
- 14:13different. And so this dissatisfaction is
- 14:16unhealthy. Dissatisfaction can come into
- 14:18when we have comparison. It can come into when we feel
- 14:21like we're not enough, when we feel like our assignment should
- 14:25be there as we start to should all over ourselves compared to
- 14:29actually aligning with the season that God has us in and
- 14:33the assignment that he has us in for that season.
- 14:36And so this is where if we start to sense like, OK, is there this
- 14:41divine discontentment where got like I'm starting to see these
- 14:45these other doors open. I'm starting to feel this like
- 14:48the Spirit of God, I'm starting to get these little hints, these
- 14:50little bread crumbs that his grace is actually starting to
- 14:53open up new doors, like new connections are opening up over
- 14:56here, even though in other connections over here, other
- 14:59friendships are shifting over here.
- 15:01And this assignment, it's kind of this like discerning season
- 15:06of this shifting of grace. And there will be eventually a
- 15:11point where there is enough divine discontentment that says,
- 15:15OK, I can no longer do what I'm doing.
- 15:17I can for sure, since the Spirit of God is going somewhere else.
- 15:21He's opening up other doors and not supposed to be doing this
- 15:23anymore. I am meant for more.
- 15:27And so it's when we get to that point where we are either so
- 15:32uncomfortable that we can no longer stay where we are at from
- 15:35our previous season, our previous assignment compared to
- 15:40there are then, OK, if I'm sensing God's grace moving and
- 15:44shifting. God, what are you doing?
- 15:46I want to seek your face. I want to like go where you are
- 15:49like Moses, like I don't want to go anywhere that you're not.
- 15:51So I actually want to just sit and sit at your feet, like be,
- 15:55you know, at your, be at your feet, like seek your face, seek
- 15:59your word so that I can move in obedience in the next season.
- 16:05There is a season of discernment in those seasons of in between.
- 16:13You know, the season of change is probably one of the hardest
- 16:17things to go through because you get so used to the way you're
- 16:20doing life. I know I just recently went
- 16:23through that in my own life where I was doing one thing for
- 16:27so many years and then it's like, God's like, OK, no, we're
- 16:31we're done doing this. And now, you know, everything is
- 16:34completely changed. And I've got my book and I've
- 16:36got my podcast and I've got a second book coming out later
- 16:40this year. And just lots of different
- 16:43things changing with my own in my own life in this this
- 16:47personal ministry that five years ago I never would have
- 16:51even considered, you know, is now like my reality.
- 16:55And it's just so powerful. So for you, what would you say
- 17:00to the person that is out there and they're like, you know, I, I
- 17:07feel a shift coming. I don't know if it's a shift
- 17:12because it's what I want or if it's actually God working and
- 17:19opening those doors. You know, in other words, is it
- 17:21man made or is it spirit LED? What would you say to that
- 17:25person for them to be able to to decipher the difference between
- 17:30those two? Yeah, well, I think that it
- 17:33first and foremost comes back to knowing his voice and being able
- 17:38to recognize and respond the way that he communicates.
- 17:42Now we think about it, God's first language is not English,
- 17:46so it's not always going to be like this audible voice in the
- 17:50clouds. If you like hear his voice and
- 17:53he gives you this big sign in the clouds that says, you know,
- 17:55go, go to the right. If you're in the park on the
- 17:58road and you want to go left or right, you know, and it's like,
- 18:02go right, Wes. And you're like, okay, thank
- 18:04you, Lord, for the audible voice.
- 18:05It actually doesn't usually work like that.
- 18:08And so learning to recognize his voice, like one word from him,
- 18:14one encounter from him changes everything.
- 18:17One touch from the Holy Spirit changes everything.
- 18:20And so I've, I actually really feel like even seasons of change
- 18:24and seasons of transition, He allows them first of all,
- 18:29because it's part of life and it's a part of just kind of this
- 18:33human experience. But it actually is meant to
- 18:36bring us in such close relationship with him so that we
- 18:41can do seek his face even closer during those seasons.
- 18:46And when it comes to hearing his voice, we are actually hardwired
- 18:50in different ways to be able to recognize and respond.
- 18:54I remember when I started to 1st learn about this, this was even
- 18:57before graduating ministry school and really learning about
- 19:04the prophetic and all what all that looks like.
- 19:07But I, when I was younger, I got really hung up on the verse of
- 19:11my sheep hear my voice. And I didn't realize that God
- 19:16speaks in in so many different ways.
- 19:18If we read the Bible, he speaks through burning bushes, he
- 19:22speaks through donkeys, he speaks through angels, he speaks
- 19:24through people. He speaks through, you know,
- 19:27prophetic pictures, like when, you know, he was talking to
- 19:30Jeremiah and he was like, what are you seeing?
- 19:32Jeremiah was like, I see a branch and, you know, and all of
- 19:35a sudden there's this prophetic picture that comes out of the
- 19:37branch and there's infinite ways of how he speaks.
- 19:40And most scholars, we can kind of narrow it down not to put God
- 19:46in a box. I feel like it provides a really
- 19:47good foundation. But we have spiritual senses on
- 19:51how we can recognize and respond to the way that God
- 19:54communicates. And I remember when I started to
- 19:58learn about this, it's like, OK, my sheep hear my voice.
- 20:02But for me it's like, OK, I, you know, is that God?
- 20:05Is that the pizza from last night?
- 20:06Is that, you know, we can kind of question like our own
- 20:10internal monologue. And it can when we're first
- 20:14learning, it can be hard. Like we of course, we know he
- 20:17speaks in his word. Absolutely.
- 20:20And what does it look like for this Rhema, for this living word
- 20:24that's applicable to me now in this role, in this relationship
- 20:27that I have with the Lord. And I remember starting to think
- 20:32about this, OK, if my sheep hear and know my voice well, OK, if
- 20:37sheep. So I'm like, OK, well, I have, I
- 20:38don't have sheep, but I have a dog and my dog doesn't speak
- 20:43English. Like, can he like understand
- 20:45like sit or shake or do you want to go on a walk?
- 20:47And then he gets excited, right. But he actually really
- 20:50recognizes my body language. And if I'm sad, he comes and,
- 20:55you know, puts his, you know, his, his face on me.
- 20:57He kind of, you know, nuzzles his little net, you know, his
- 21:00chin on me so that I pet him and he comforts me.
- 21:03Or if I get my running shoes on, he knows it's time to go for a
- 21:06walk or for a run, you know, if he does something bad.
- 21:11And his name is Dodger. And I'm like Dodger.
- 21:13He knows like the tone of my voice.
- 21:14And he like is like, Oh my gosh. And he like go sits by the door
- 21:17because he knows he's going to be in trouble and he has to go
- 21:19outside. So there actually is like such a
- 21:21nuance to our voice, to our communication.
- 21:25There's our body language speaks so much our our inflection and
- 21:31our tone of voice communicates so much.
- 21:35You know, Wes, I don't know if this is going to be on video,
- 21:37but I'll try and describe what I'm doing.
- 21:38If I were to say you guys, I have something really, really
- 21:42big to show you. And for those of you that are
- 21:44just listening, I'm holding up my fingers like the size of an
- 21:46inch compared to you guys. I have something really, really
- 21:51big to show. You know, I'm like holding my
- 21:53hands out wider than the screen can see.
- 21:56Well, which one do you believe more?
- 21:58Well, you actually believe what my body language is doing.
- 22:01And so when it comes to communication, so for me as a
- 22:03speaker, I'm a communicator learning all of this stuff and
- 22:07even having kids, it was like I actually started to learn that
- 22:10communication develops right after, you know, you know, after
- 22:15about a year ish of kids growing up to where that they're
- 22:19actually able to start to articulate.
- 22:21So they're what they're doing. They're they're recognizing our,
- 22:24you know, our smile and what my eyes are doing and what my voice
- 22:28is doing and the tone of my voice and how my husband and I
- 22:32interact and all of this stuff. They start to develop this
- 22:35worldview of the world around them based off of more than just
- 22:41my voice or more than just the words that I say.
- 22:44And so it was like when I started to put together these
- 22:47different things, then start to really dive into what does it
- 22:50look like to recognize the way that God speaks.
- 22:55There is some really great kind of a good foundation is we can
- 22:58be seers, we can be hearers, we can be knowers and we can be
- 23:01feelers. And these are all biblically
- 23:03based. Actually, I have a free master
- 23:05class where I go into all of this and talk about the and give
- 23:09you the different biblical references.
- 23:12So I don't know if you want that for the show notes.
- 23:13I can give you the link for thatthatis@wearemeantformore.com/prophetic
- 23:21Dash Master class. That's a free class I teach you
- 23:24all about how to recognize and to respond to the voice of God.
- 23:29But you know, if we think about, OK, if I can be a seer, right,
- 23:32these are the, the visions and the dreams that God can give, we
- 23:36can be here. So yes, we know we can hear that
- 23:38still small voice or that audible voice of God.
- 23:41We can also hear things like, I don't know for you if you've
- 23:43ever had maybe a, a song that has been an anthem for you for a
- 23:48season where it just like speaks to your spirit and you're like
- 23:52all that song. It's just like, oh, I love that
- 23:54song. It is just reading my mail.
- 23:56It's speaking to my scene, right?
- 23:56That is hearing something that's resonating in our spirit.
- 23:59That's for us for that season. You know, we can be knowers.
- 24:03These people, they are, they don't know how they know that
- 24:06they know that they know, but they just know.
- 24:08And it is just like all of a sudden there has been this
- 24:11revelation that was given it that comes from the revelatory
- 24:14realm, from the Spirit of God, who seeks the depths of the
- 24:17heart of God, the Holy Spirit. You know, he, he speaks to the
- 24:21OR he seeks and finds that the depths of the heart of God and
- 24:24he reveals things, things through us or to us.
- 24:28And, and then we can also be feelers.
- 24:31So these are the people who you can like walk into a room and
- 24:34you just like can feel the atmosphere or you stand next to
- 24:38somebody and you can like feel what's going on with them.
- 24:41And these are actually all of what I like to call our
- 24:43prophetic senses or learning the language of the Spirit and how
- 24:48God communicates in order for us to yes, first and foremost, have
- 24:54relationship with him. God exists in and of himself
- 24:57within relationship with the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
- 25:01And we were created for relationships.
- 25:04So first and foremost, he wants to speak with us.
- 25:07He wants to commune with us. Friends get secrets, right?
- 25:11Like it says in the Bible, I've no longer called you slaves.
- 25:14You are. I've called you friends.
- 25:15And if you think about our earthly friendships, I have such
- 25:18deep connection and relationship with my friends or, you know,
- 25:21with my husband. And, you know, if friends get
- 25:24secrets and I, they, I, you know, even I just had a really
- 25:27great conversation with my one of my best friends yesterday.
- 25:29And it's like we were just talking about the deep things of
- 25:31our heart and just connection and communication.
- 25:36And so it's like first and foremost relationship and then
- 25:39second of all, just like Jesus how he didn't do anything
- 25:44besides what he heard or saw the Father doing, we are called to
- 25:48do the same thing. We are called to partner with
- 25:51the heart of God to bring heaven sent solutions in the earth and
- 25:55to make earth look more like heavens.
- 25:57How do we do that? Well, we have to lean into the
- 25:59heart of God and hear his voice and hear what it looks like.
- 26:03OK, Well if I'm struggling in this area or if I'm in my
- 26:07workplace and we know we drink OK in business as it is in
- 26:11heaven or in my company as it is in heaven.
- 26:14Well, what's it like in heaven? God, what do you have to say
- 26:16about this situation and how can I release that heaven sent
- 26:19solution on the earth? And it all starts with
- 26:21relationship and hearing His voice.
- 26:29For the listeners who feel stuck or unseen, what does that moment
- 26:33usually signal spiritually and how should they respond instead
- 26:39of shutting down? This is so good.
- 26:42I think that a lot of times when we have these things like I'm
- 26:48not enough or I'm not seeing or I'm stuck in comparison, it
- 26:54actually is just unanswered questions that we are seeking in
- 27:00other places besides the heart of God.
- 27:04And this gets into our identity, our God-given identity as sons
- 27:09and daughters. When we have our identity in
- 27:13shaky places, or what I like to call our secondary identities,
- 27:17these are typically things that we do.
- 27:19And trust me when I say I, I for sure I had to go.
- 27:25I had to learn a lot of this stuff the hard way.
- 27:26I used to have my identity so much like my flag planted an
- 27:30identity of my career. Or when I, you know, played
- 27:33volleyball, it was in my team and it was like what I did and
- 27:36all these awards that I had and all this great stuff that I was
- 27:39doing. And then when that changed, it
- 27:42was like I would go through this massive identity crisis and I
- 27:45wouldn't know who I was anymore. And Oh my gosh.
- 27:48And it's like sends you on to this tailspin.
- 27:51And I remember one of the big times that this happened, I went
- 27:54through some like when I graduated college and I wasn't a
- 27:57part of the volleyball team anymore.
- 27:58And it kind of rattled me. But one of the big times was
- 28:01actually when I became a mom and I went from being an
- 28:04award-winning entrepreneur, having ATV show and being
- 28:08really, really outward facing, really, really seen our
- 28:11community really, really, you know, like all these awards and
- 28:14accolades and all this stuff. And to then at home and goopy
- 28:21diapers. And I wasn't a part of the 5:00
- 28:23AM biohacking club. I was a part of like a 3:00 AM
- 28:26breastfeeding club. And I was exhausted and probably
- 28:28hadn't showered and probably had babies spit up all over me
- 28:30somewhere. And I went into a season where I
- 28:33was really, really not seen. And it rattled me.
- 28:39And I had to start to say, OK, God, who do you say I am?
- 28:44And I think that when we actually place our flag of
- 28:47identity in these secondary sources, and it could even, it
- 28:51is even things like wife or husband or mom or our career
- 28:56author, you know, entrepreneur, whatever it looks like, when
- 29:00those things shift and they do when they will, if we have our
- 29:04identity flag planted in anything else besides son or
- 29:08daughter, it will create a massive identity crisis.
- 29:13And so if we're feeling unseen, then we actually are seeking
- 29:18validation from outside eyes and voices more than what we are
- 29:25seeking the out, the, the inward eyes and voices of the father.
- 29:32And this is where it's like, OK, God, if I'm feeling really,
- 29:37really seen in my outside world, how do you see me?
- 29:41And are your eyes on me? And yes, we know in the Bible
- 29:44where it says you know his it the Lord bless you and keep you.
- 29:48May his face shine upon you in this this face shining upon you
- 29:53is actually like this countenance of when a mother or
- 29:56father delights in their child. And so yes, his eyes are are on
- 30:01you and they are gazing on you. And it's like, OK, God, what
- 30:04does the word say? Oh, it says in Psalm 139.
- 30:07But you know every hair on my head.
- 30:09And to know every hair in my head, you actually have to be
- 30:12really, really intimate and really, really close.
- 30:15And you have to be able to count like all the little, you know,
- 30:18all the little ones that are poking out of my hair.
- 30:20And even when I brush my hair, you have to be so intimately
- 30:22close that even the ones that come out of my brush when I
- 30:25brush my hair and you know, it just is like, oh, if I actually
- 30:30get a revelation of how the eye, the the eyes of the Lord are on
- 30:35me, then it actually answers any question of or it answers the
- 30:41cry of my heart that I feel unseen from anybody else in the
- 30:45world. And it, it just, it changes
- 30:49everything when you know that you're actually already chosen,
- 30:53when you know that you don't have to earn love, that you
- 30:55don't have to work for love, that you actually get to move
- 30:58from love, that you don't have to earn his favor, that you
- 31:03actually already have it and you get to move from favor.
- 31:07So it's a place of, oh, where is my validation coming from?
- 31:10Where is my identity coming from?
- 31:12And if it's planted in anything secondary besides son or
- 31:16daughter, that we're going to have those unanswered questions.
- 31:24It's very easy for us to, to place our identity in the
- 31:30worldly things, you know, our career, our relationships, that
- 31:34type of stuff. I think we're, we've all been
- 31:37guilty of it. And I think you would say the
- 31:39same. And matter of fact, you did say
- 31:40the same thing. And so it's it's, it's
- 31:44definitely one of those things that, but again, it's a moment
- 31:47by moment thing that you have to be like, OK, you know, this is
- 31:51not going how I thought it was going to go, but that's OK
- 31:54because this is not what defines me, right?
- 31:57And so I just want one of the things I share on this podcast
- 32:01all the time is a you are not defined by the things that you
- 32:05has happened to you. You're not defined by the things
- 32:07that you're done. You know, you're not defined by
- 32:10what other people say about you because those are all just
- 32:13secondary things. You're defined only by who you
- 32:15say you are, more importantly, who God says you are.
- 32:18And that means you are His child and He has you and He is in your
- 32:25corner and He will lead you and guide you and protect you.
- 32:28You just have to place your identity in that and trust in
- 32:31that and just turn over control like we talked about earlier and
- 32:37moment by moment and just realize that that is your
- 32:41identity. And so, you know, your journey
- 32:47includes things that are both deal with visibility and
- 32:54vulnerability, including profound personal loss.
- 32:59So how did I want to go back to something you said earlier and
- 33:03ask, how did losing a child reshape the way that you hear
- 33:07God and trust his voice? Yeah, Well, I love this this
- 33:13topic of of vulnerability and transparency.
- 33:17I think that we actually in today's social media world where
- 33:22people are really, really visible and we think that we can
- 33:25know somebody when in reality we maybe just know about them
- 33:30because we maybe follow them on Instagram.
- 33:34There is this first of all, I'm going to say I'm going to I'm
- 33:37going to kind of hit a few different angles on this.
- 33:39There is this really interesting dynamic that people for like
- 33:43think that they get access to anybody and everybody that they
- 33:49want to. In reality, that's not the case.
- 33:52So that is not true. And I'll give you this, I'll
- 33:56give you this kind of an example.
- 33:59So is there, I think that there's a difference between
- 34:03transparency and vulnerability. And there's a this, you know, we
- 34:08see these like people that they post a picture of them crying on
- 34:12Instagram. They, they're trying to share
- 34:14vulnerably, which is really beautiful.
- 34:16I actually think that we vulnerability is one of the
- 34:21strongest things that we can do is actually invite people into
- 34:24our story in a vulnerable way and in a, in a deeper way
- 34:28besides just like the perfect aesthetic on Instagram.
- 34:33But the truth of the reality is, is that we not everyone is
- 34:37actually deserving of our story. And I think that so many times
- 34:41people actually can verbal vomit every single story or lesson or
- 34:47what they're going through to a public audience.
- 34:51When in reality, sometimes not everyone is first of all, worthy
- 34:55of our story or worthy of that depth of access into our heart.
- 35:00And unless we know that we are called to share that.
- 35:03So there are parts of my life of my story of our journey where,
- 35:07you know, it's it's not, you know, not everyone gets access
- 35:11to every part of that. There are then, yes, parts where
- 35:14I feel like I meant to share, like the loss of our child and
- 35:18what God did through that season or it is meant for them more
- 35:21forward facing because God gave so graciously gave himself and
- 35:25lessons for me to be able to bring out of that season.
- 35:28So that mess has become a part of my message.
- 35:32But I'll give you an example. So I think that social media and
- 35:35just in general this visibility concept, it should actually be
- 35:39treated more like a window, like transparency instead of this all
- 35:45access. Everyone just gets full access
- 35:48to me and every single part of my heart.
- 35:51That's not healthy boundaries, that's not healthy relationally.
- 35:55And so when it comes to being vulnerable and visible, I think
- 36:00we need to understand, first of all, I actually don't share
- 36:03things unless I and what's, you know, an overcomer of that
- 36:08thing. So if it is like, if I'm in the
- 36:10middle of my mess and it is still a gaping wound, I don't
- 36:14share it. It's because I'm not an
- 36:15overcomer of that yet. Well, I share it in relationship
- 36:21with trusted friends or family or my husband or, you know,
- 36:25pastoral care, absolutely, because they are actually
- 36:28invited into those deeper parts of my heart.
- 36:30And it's not to hide things. Actually, it's because that's
- 36:32healthy relational dynamic. And so this visibility concept,
- 36:38I think it should be more like a window into your house.
- 36:40People get to peek into parts of your life and peek into parts of
- 36:44your house, but not everyone is invited to come and sit at the
- 36:47table. Not everyone is invited to come
- 36:49sit on your couch. Not everyone is invited to come
- 36:51and sit, you know, into my bedroom and do the most intimate
- 36:54places with me. And those are for select.
- 36:56That's actually is like a really, really healthy
- 36:58relational dynamic. And so when it comes to this
- 37:03visibility aspect of things, I like to make sure that I'm
- 37:07sharing from scars, not wounds. And it's something that the Lord
- 37:12has been given and not that he like has to give permission, but
- 37:17I actually, you know, it, things are online forever and it's
- 37:23like, OK, what am I sharing here?
- 37:24What's the lesson? Is this actually going to bring
- 37:27life? And is this going to help
- 37:29someone? Or what's my motivation is?
- 37:31Is this just because I think that I'm really amazing and I
- 37:33should just share this thing and toot my own horn?
- 37:36Like what's the motivation behind it?
- 37:37So you know, or is this coming from the call that God has on my
- 37:43life? And so this is even something my
- 37:45husband and I, we were actually talking about this the other day
- 37:47as far as podcast, he was just on my podcast and he's like,
- 37:51podcasts are interesting. He's like, because like some
- 37:53people, I think that they just do it because that's like why
- 37:57you do it? And he and we were just having
- 37:59this conversation. I was like, for sure, some
- 38:01people do it. And they just, you know, they
- 38:03like the accolades. They like the, you know, they
- 38:06or, you know, YouTube or whatever it is like that the
- 38:08kids generation now, they just all want to be Youtubers.
- 38:10I have a nine year old son and you know, a lot of their kids in
- 38:13his class, like my son wants to be a fireman, but a lot of these
- 38:16other kids are like how to be a famous YouTube.
- 38:17And it's like, why? Why?
- 38:20But and then there are other people who are actually doing
- 38:25things like for me having a podcast, it's actually because
- 38:29it's coming from the call that God has in my life to be a
- 38:32mouthpiece and to be a voice. And so, and there are seasons
- 38:37where it's like, if the grace isn't there for a season, like
- 38:39you'll see my podcast, I've actually been pretty consistent
- 38:42with it for the last couple years.
- 38:43But there were seasons where like when I was journeying
- 38:45through that season of loss where I actually didn't record
- 38:48for like a year. And it's because I wasn't in a
- 38:50place where the grace of God was there on my life to share and I
- 38:54was actually doing deeper work. So this vulnerability and
- 38:58visibility conversation is for sure interesting, especially in
- 39:02a social media world. And I think it again, it all
- 39:06goes back to, OK, what's relationship?
- 39:08What's, what's is the Lord inviting me into?
- 39:10Am I doing this for a place where I'm feeling unseen and I'm
- 39:14just trying to like earn other people's approval?
- 39:16Or am I doing this because the Lord has invited me into, you
- 39:20know, being more visible or being more of a mouthpiece.
- 39:24So it's like, and I think that only you and God will probably
- 39:28know the motivation of that. Yeah, I get asked this question
- 39:34all the time, you know, as I come on podcasts and I share my
- 39:38story and I share my story here on this podcast, you know, I
- 39:41share about my 20 year addiction and tip horn and how I was able
- 39:46to overcome it by the grace of God and through through this
- 39:50ministry of Celebrate Recovery and just and everything else.
- 39:53And like how it's shaped the journey that I'm on now.
- 39:56And, and people are like, well, how can you share it?
- 39:59Like, how can you talk so freely about it?
- 40:01And it's like, and I tell him, I'm like, well, number one, it's
- 40:04what I feel like I'm supposed to do.
- 40:05And #2 I don't do it because I did it under my own power.
- 40:09I did it and then I'm free of it because of the grace of God.
- 40:13And now he's giving me this, this mission.
- 40:18Of talking about it to help others realize that there is
- 40:21hope. You know they can.
- 40:23Because. Because when you're in the
- 40:24middle of something and this doesn't matter if it's an
- 40:27addiction, if it's in the middle of loss, if it's middle of job
- 40:30change, it doesn't matter what it is.
- 40:32When you're in the middle of something that's difficult, it's
- 40:36really, really easy to feel like there is no hope.
- 40:40Really easy. And that is where the enemy
- 40:43lives. He wants you in that moment when
- 40:46you feel like there's no hope, when you feel, when you feel
- 40:49like nobody's going to understand and he wants you
- 40:53confused. He wants you isolated because
- 40:58that's that's where he can work and grab a hold of you and do
- 41:01his best work. And so as I began sharing my own
- 41:07story, that's what has brought about like my book and this
- 41:10podcast and, and, and things like that, because I want people
- 41:14to realize that it doesn't matter what it is that they've
- 41:16gone through. There's other people out there
- 41:18that have been through it. And you're not alone.
- 41:21And people do understand and you don't need to be isolated.
- 41:25And so I love that you, you, you share, you know, that, you know,
- 41:29sometimes it's OK to talk about things, but sometimes there are
- 41:33parts of your life that, you know, you're not going to share
- 41:36with just everybody. And that's something that a lot
- 41:38of people will get, will get confused.
- 41:41Right, while you talk about this.
- 41:42Why aren't you talking about that?
- 41:44Well, it's because, well, it's not relevant to what we're
- 41:46talking about. Yeah.
- 41:47Or or or. You may not be ready to hear
- 41:51this part of my story yet. Yeah, well, and I think even in
- 41:54today's world, it's like even to what you were just saying about
- 41:59the well, why aren't you talking about this thing?
- 42:02And my when you said that, my brain went to well, there's a
- 42:05lot of different things that are going on in today's society.
- 42:09There's a lot of like, people with burning pitchforks that are
- 42:12taking the stand and talking about all these other social
- 42:15issues. And the truth of the reality is
- 42:19that we just actually aren't called to like pick up every
- 42:22single burning torch of justice and have an opinion on it first
- 42:26and foremost. Or I might have opinions about
- 42:30things, you know, right side of the aisle or left side of the
- 42:33aisle or whatever is happening in, you know, with, you know,
- 42:37just different political things that are going on.
- 42:39And I have opinions that actually choose to just have
- 42:43those conversations in person instead of online.
- 42:47And, you know, it's like, yeah, so it's like we aren't actually
- 42:51not, we're not required to have an opinion about everything
- 42:54that's going on in the world or to be an expert on everything
- 42:57that's coming that's going on in the world.
- 42:59And so it's like, you know, we, I think that we can stay in our
- 43:01lane. And then back to what you're
- 43:04saying about the power of sharing our stories.
- 43:06It's so powerful because the testimony of Jesus is the spirit
- 43:10of prophecy and testimony means God do it again and he is so
- 43:15willing and able to do it again. Wes, what has gone like what
- 43:20he's done in your life, He's so willing and able to do that
- 43:23through your life into the lives of other people.
- 43:27Same thing with me and coming out on the other side of loss
- 43:30with, you know, with a message and with purpose and with just
- 43:34just this heart for people to see them walk in their God-given
- 43:37identity and destiny and to hear his voice.
- 43:40And like the Bible is a, is a love story of God pursuing his
- 43:46people and of Jesus healing, you know, blind eyes and deaf ears
- 43:52and raising the dead and casting out demons.
- 43:55And he says, go and do the same. And there just is so much power
- 44:00in our story and in our testimony, what God has done in
- 44:03and through US. And I think that it's really
- 44:06powerful what you're doing and what you're sharing.
- 44:08Yeah. Thank you.
- 44:10You know many believers, I think they want to hear God more
- 44:16clearly but they feel unsure or insecure.
- 44:20What does learning the language of the Spirit actually look like
- 44:25in everyday life? Yeah, this is so fun.
- 44:28So it's, and it's so common, it's the rights that is was that
- 44:35God was at the pizza last night. Or I can usually discern the
- 44:38voice of the enemy because it's usually pretty accusatory.
- 44:41There's a lot of fear behind it, you know, but it's like we kind
- 44:46of get into this space of how do we know it's God?
- 44:49How do I know it was me? And I think understanding that
- 44:52God speaks in a multitude of ways and that he's the best
- 44:56communicator and that we are hardwired to recognize and to
- 45:01respond to his voice into the different ways that he
- 45:04communicates. Only dysfunctional fathers don't
- 45:08speak to their kids. And if we can actually have kind
- 45:13of these foundational understanding, these
- 45:16foundational thoughts or these cornerstones of thoughts when it
- 45:19comes to the way that God speaks to us, He's not far off.
- 45:25He's not a distant God. He's not a silent God.
- 45:29He's not mad at you. He loves you.
- 45:32And so it's like when we actually start to understand the
- 45:35heart of a good father, when we start to understand his
- 45:39character, when we start to, OK, what does the word say about
- 45:43him? Oh, that says in Psalm 139, His
- 45:45thoughts towards me are more than the grains of sand.
- 45:49Well, gosh, OK, I've been at the beach before and you know, be
- 45:53put your hand in the sand. All of a sudden there's like
- 45:55thousands of pieces of sand on your hand, not to mention the
- 45:59sand that's around you. And that's all down down the
- 46:02coast and then on all of the beaches on all of the world.
- 46:06Gosh, God's thoughts towards me are more than the grains of
- 46:10sand. So God, what is the piece of
- 46:12sand right now that you are highlighting for me?
- 46:16Or what is it that you want to say to me right now?
- 46:19And it could be a still small voice.
- 46:21It could be a little flash of a picture.
- 46:24If you're a seer, it could be a a feeling.
- 46:26It could be peace. It could be a feeling of, of
- 46:29deep adoration. I remember when I was starting
- 46:32to really hone in on The Voice of God, I was actually just sit
- 46:35there and I would just say, Holy Spirit, can I just be the, the
- 46:39object of your affection? Like I actually just wanted him
- 46:43to define me over anything else, over my circumstance, over, you
- 46:47know, any, everything else in my external world, over any
- 46:50internal thought that I might have had.
- 46:53And I just wanted his voice to define me.
- 46:55And so I would just say, Holy Spirit, can I just be the object
- 46:57of your affection? And he would just begin to
- 47:00lavish his love and his delight over me.
- 47:03And oh, charity, I love your eyes and I, I love your smile
- 47:07and I love your ears and your toes.
- 47:09And I love your, the little mole that's right behind your right.
- 47:12You're actually loved it so much that I gave your son a matching
- 47:15one because I thought it was so cute.
- 47:17And I love the way that you think and I love the way that
- 47:20you love people. And he would just lavish his
- 47:22love over me and I would just begin to let his voice define me
- 47:26and his heart define me. And so that's always is a
- 47:30really, really great place to start.
- 47:32Is, is start there. I do have an assessment to help
- 47:37you understand if you are a seer here, feeler or knower and
- 47:44that's at we are meant for more.com/prophetic dash bundle.
- 47:49There's some really fun assessments in there as far as
- 47:53like how you hear from God and even, OK, if I'm hearing from
- 47:57God now, where like who is it for or what assignment?
- 48:02What mountain of influence am I called to now bring these, you
- 48:07know, bring his voice to. So we talked about like culture,
- 48:10cultural assignments and even like your prayer scripts and how
- 48:15do I take authority over my atmosphere and just prayer
- 48:18declarations because our there's life and death in the power of
- 48:20our tongue. So there's all this fun stuff in
- 48:23that bundle of it's like 100 plus pages of fun things, but
- 48:28it's like, OK, God, how do I recognize your voice?
- 48:31Laughter. First of all, understand the
- 48:32different ways that you speak and be open to that and the and
- 48:38understand how my hardwired that you have created me to recognize
- 48:44and respond to your voice. And I like to think of kind of
- 48:47our spiritual senses, almost like love languages.
- 48:52And if you've ever done the five love languages, you know my my
- 48:56for me, I'm like quality time and words of affirmation.
- 48:59So for me to feel really, really loved by someone is quality
- 49:02time. And you know, they encourage me
- 49:05or they're even challenging me with different thoughts or we're
- 49:08having a really great conversation and our our
- 49:12prophetic sense is how we pick up on the ways that God is
- 49:15communicating are very similar. We're typically going to have
- 49:18like a couple top ones that we are to are our typical M OS are
- 49:22typical methods of operation. So for me, my typical MO in my
- 49:27prophetic senses are see or hear.
- 49:30And so I have a really vivid dream life.
- 49:33God speaks to me a lot in like flashes of pictures or visions
- 49:36and then I hear, I hear words or they'll be things in songs that
- 49:41will, that will really resonate with me.
- 49:46Actually, what one of the things I did, I have a devotional, it's
- 49:49a prophetic devotional. And there were seasons where
- 49:53it's called Pathway to the Heart of the Father.
- 49:55And there were seasons where worship songs were really,
- 49:57really resonant in my spirit and the reverses that went along
- 50:00with it and a prophetic message that went along with it.
- 50:03And there's identity statements in there too.
- 50:07So this is like it was actually a part of my journey on how I
- 50:10got to learn the heart of the Father and his thoughts towards
- 50:14me. And so it's like, OK, well, God,
- 50:18how are you speaking to me? Like how did you hardwire me to
- 50:22pick up on your communication? And then, OK, well, maybe you're
- 50:26a feeler. So now all of a sudden I can
- 50:28walk into a room and I can feel something of what's going on.
- 50:31Well, God, what do you want me to do with this feeling?
- 50:34And for us is where that we're called to bring heaven to earth.
- 50:37I might be picking up on some sort of negative feeling.
- 50:41Well, how am I called to shift that and to bring heaven, bring
- 50:45a heaven on earth reality quality in this situation or in
- 50:48this atmosphere or in this room or in this business or in this
- 50:52friendship or in this relationship.
- 50:56So it it, it, it's a beautiful invitation with the Holy Spirit.
- 51:00It's into relationship, into communion, into communication
- 51:04and learning the different ways that he speaks.
- 51:07And for me, it's become this beautiful journey of so I now
- 51:10help lead our prophetic ministry team at church.
- 51:13And my next book, it's called Language of the Spirit, how to
- 51:16hear God's voice and live a prophetic life.
- 51:18And so we actually teach this stuff in, you know, within our
- 51:21body and do prophetic training. So it's really, really fun that
- 51:24as you start to develop these gifts, First Corinthians talks
- 51:30about earnestly the desire, which means hunger for these
- 51:35spiritual gifts that, you know, there's all the gifts that it
- 51:37lists and one of them is to prophecy.
- 51:40And prophecy is this supernatural encouragement.
- 51:43So it's leaning into the heart and the voice of the Father and
- 51:47then speaking that over someone's heart or their
- 51:50situation or over their life or over this, you know, company or
- 51:55over an atmosphere or in prayer or an intercession.
- 51:58And for me now as I minister, I'll give an example.
- 52:01So it's like there's this one time where I was ministering to
- 52:04these couple girls at the same time and I want to be like so
- 52:08open and available to all of the different ways that God speaks
- 52:11and communicates to me. So one woman, I received a word,
- 52:15it was like a vision for her and I was able to, you know, give
- 52:18her a word. And then another girl, I got a
- 52:19feeling. And so I was able to prophecy
- 52:21and speak into her life and pray over her from that, that sense
- 52:25that I received as far as a feeling.
- 52:28And they just felt so loved and seen and known by God.
- 52:31And that's what New Testament prophecy is supposed to do.
- 52:34It's meant to build up, to edify, to encourage, to comfort.
- 52:39And so if we're hearing the voice of God and then delivering
- 52:42that to others, if it doesn't fall within those categories,
- 52:46then we don't deliver it or we decipher, we discern a way to
- 52:50deliver it that will actually make it seem like it's coming
- 52:53from the heart of God. You have given a lot of
- 52:59information out here and I'm sure, I am sure people are like
- 53:03OK, I need to go back and re listen to this like 15 times
- 53:06just to make sure you get it all down.
- 53:09So why don't you just real quick give the listeners your website
- 53:13address again so that they can go out and find all these
- 53:16bundles and things that you've talked about and then so they
- 53:20can be able to connect with you if they want more information.
- 53:23Yeah, so the website for meant for more ministries, it just is
- 53:27that we are meant for more.com. There's you'll find all the fun
- 53:30things, live events and podcast and all the fun things there,
- 53:35the equipping center, the school, the prophetic that we
- 53:37have. And then I actually love to
- 53:39connect with other people, especially on social media.
- 53:42So if you heard this episode coming out with me on Instagram
- 53:46is where I'm mostly at. That's just at Charity Majors.
- 53:49And let me know maybe what your favorite take away was.
- 53:52And I'd love to pray for you to connect with you.
- 53:55I have a channel where I just give people encouragement so you
- 53:57can join my free channel there. But yeah, so just we're meant
- 54:01for more.com and at Charity Majors on Instagram.
- 54:04There you go. I'll leave those down in the
- 54:06show notes so that you can find them easily for those that are
- 54:10listening. Well, charity, one of the things
- 54:12that I love to do on this show at the end is to leave my
- 54:18listeners with an action step, something that they can meditate
- 54:23on, something they can chew on, something that they can do over
- 54:26the next week or so to really move forward in their faith,
- 54:30move forward and living unmasked.
- 54:33And so I want you to take a second and give us one practical
- 54:39step that they can take this week to move forward in
- 54:42obedience. I think it's going to go back to
- 54:48what I shared about when we actually know who's we are and
- 54:52who we are. That actually helps us take off
- 54:55any masks or any false identities or secondary
- 54:59identities that we've maybe placed on ourselves or what
- 55:03other people have placed on us. And that comes from hearing
- 55:07God's voice and it comes from receiving and just being so
- 55:10lavishly loved on by a good father.
- 55:13So your practical step for this next week is what I shared
- 55:18earlier is to just take a couple minutes.
- 55:20And if you're a mom, a busy mom, you know, even if you're just
- 55:24like in the bathroom by yourself for one minute and you just ask
- 55:28the Holy Spirit, Holy Spirit, will you just, can I just be the
- 55:31object of your affection and just listen and just let him
- 55:35lavish his love on you and speak over you and speak identity over
- 55:40you. You might feel peace.
- 55:42You might feel a be like a overwhelming sense of his love
- 55:47towards you. You might sense I just even
- 55:50sense right now that some of you, you might get a picture of
- 55:53of just his deep smile lines at you.
- 55:56He's not mad at you. He is so in love with you.
- 55:59He is so proud of you. And just let Him lavish His love
- 56:03and his words of adoration over you as a son or daughter.
- 56:07And just start there. Because it's like when we can
- 56:09actually know how loved we are, then we actually don't have to
- 56:15perform for love. We don't have to turn it into a
- 56:18reward. It was already a free gift.
- 56:20He's the pursuer of us. God so loved the world that he
- 56:24gave. He pursued Adam and Eve in the
- 56:27garden. And so when we know whose we are
- 56:30and who we are in Him, and we can live from that space, when
- 56:34we can live loved, when we can live from love, not for it, it
- 56:38changes everything. Amen.
- 56:43Well, Charity, thank you so much for being with us today on
- 56:46Unmasked and being willing to share your ministry and your
- 56:51journey and just speak life into the Unmasked audience.

- 57:00you. It's been my pleasure.
- 57:08Well, thanks for joining me today on Unmasked, and again, a
- 57:11huge thanks to Charity for joining us today.
- 57:14If something in this episode spoke to you, don't let it stop
- 57:17with you. Take a moment and share with the
- 57:19one person that God put on your heart while you were listening,
- 57:22because you never know whose breakthrough might start with
- 57:24just a simple message from you. If you want more encouragement,
- 57:28you want to work with me one-on-one, or you're interested
