- 0:17All right, it's the third and final hour at least for today of the
- 0:21Morning Show with Preston Scott. March twenty eighth is the date show. Fifty
- 0:24one to twenty five is the day of the show, and day eleven sixty
- 0:31three of America held hostage. Grant Allen over there running the radio program I'm
- 0:36Preston Scott and this my friends. Is Jerome Hudson. He's the entertainment editor
- 0:41of brightbart dot com. He's the author of the fifty Things books, Fifty
- 0:46Things They Don't Want You to Know and Fifty Things they Don't Want You to
- 0:48Know About Trump should be spiking online, Jerome, it should be spiking.
- 0:53It should be a return to the bestseller list. You would think, you
- 0:59would think, I mean, Trump has got to be trending right everywhere.
- 1:07Yeah, yeah, it'll be good. It'll be good. I don't know.
- 1:10I've I've often thought, I mean, I don't know. People basically
- 1:14almost every day send me a d M or an email or something talking about
- 1:19the book. How a relatives got it, or they you know, came
- 1:25across it and just can't believe how good it is. It's a good thing.
- 1:30You know. Maybe I'll maybe I'll get to do another one if he
- 1:34if he, if he rises to the Oval office again, tell me this,
- 1:38what is the most important of the fifty things that people ought to know
- 1:44about Trump? Uh? How have you not asked me this question before?
- 1:51I feel like you asked me this question before, and I I couldn't come
- 1:55to a decision. Yeah, yeah, I don't know. I talk about
- 2:04it in a in a chapter that relates to the economy, and I went
- 2:13and looked in February. In March, Pew Research and Gallup respectfully basically asked
- 2:21Americans the same question in February twenty twenty. In March twenty twenty. In
- 2:25both questions, I think Gallup's been asking the same question for fifty years.
- 2:30Are you satisfied with your place in life right now? And ninety percent of
- 2:36respondents said yes. It was the highest that Gallup had ever actually reported.
- 2:42And then two weeks later, you know, China released a virus in the
- 2:49rest is History, and I always thought that that was you know, you
- 2:55know, we covered it at Breitbart, the Gallop in the Pew findings,
- 3:00but I just always thought that there was really no way to overstate just how
- 3:06monumental and fascinating and what a backhanded pin will three sixty slam duck that was
- 3:14on the media that had drummed up twenty four hour hysteria around Trump, the
- 3:22establishment Republicans or whatever who didn't do everything that they could to defend him and
- 3:29his policies, and of course the Democrats and the leftists on campus, in
- 3:37the media in Hollywood who basically compared him to Hitler every day. I mean
- 3:43three years if you count, you know, all three years he was in
- 3:46office before that question was asked to people who nine and ten said they were
- 3:52satisfied with their economic standings, with their life in general overall historically high number.
- 3:58And then you know, three years of president in two years running,
- 4:01about half decade of the media slinging mud at this man, and he produced
- 4:08results that again nine and ten people walking on the streets were happy with.
- 4:13And you know, I don't know what happens if the pandemic never happens,
- 4:18but I do believe that that Donald Trump would be president today. But instead,
- 4:24I mean, the funny thing is that, you know, the country
- 4:27is in a weird way getting a second chance, you know, at Trump,
- 4:32and he's a known commodity as those polls reflect, and as current polls
- 4:39reflect, there's a lot of buyer's remorse for Joe Biden. Welcome to m
- 4:43a D radio network where we challenge you to make a difference, and this
- 4:48is the Morning Show with Preston Scott. I'm gonna make a comparison here when
- 5:02I when I consider Donald Trump and his run for a second term, it
- 5:13seems as though appears that more and more of the Hollywood kind of connected people
- 5:24are splitting off from that monolithic mindset and are slowly kind of getting away from
- 5:33the plantation. Is that fair? That's absolutely fair. And you know,
- 5:43Donald Trump in many ways sort of broke a lot of paradigms, and you
- 5:49know, he allowed people, He sort of gave some people the green light
- 5:58to challenge or see if you will. And again, in a weird way,
- 6:03the pandemic did the same thing it hit Hollywood, It hit the entertainment
- 6:09industry and much of the same debilitating ways that it hit a lot of industries.
- 6:15If you were a comedian, you couldn't play shows. If you were
- 6:17an actor or a director, or a producer, scriptwriter, or the other
- 6:21hundreds of ways of life and labor in entertainment. You know, even the
- 6:28below the line work, the people who set up the sound stages and the
- 6:32costume designers. You were all out of work because you weren't filming. And
- 6:36you know, some people took that time, like Josh Gadd to cry into
- 6:41a camera because he was no longer relevant. But other people did a lot
- 6:45of soul searching and we came out of it. And as we came out
- 6:53of it, you know, there were the George Floyd riots. I mean,
- 6:56you look at no matter what your bubble is, you know, I
- 7:00mean, if you're the A list celebrity that just backs whatever Democrat your publicist
- 7:05tells you to back, I mean, you do you know you are grounded
- 7:12in reality at some point, and you just can't see the world that we've
- 7:16seen, I guess in the last three and a half four years. But
- 7:20the awful examples of leftism, the horrific, objectively bad job that Joe Biden
- 7:27has done on every level. I mean, you have people splintering, and
- 7:30so you have people like Michael Rapperport, who's lived in New York City is
- 7:33an entire life. He sees what no cash Bell reform has done, and
- 7:38he not only does he see it. He's basically like Andrew Breitbart. He
- 7:42takes his phone out. Michael Rapperport films the thief putting everything that he or
- 7:48she can in their bag and CBS and walking right out the door. And
- 7:53the police are overwhelmed and they can't do anything. And the prosecutors are tearing
- 7:58their hands behind their back because they and make arrest, build good cases,
- 8:01but charges will never be brought. And the Israel war with this evil,
- 8:09sadistic organization Hamas has opened a lot of eyes with a lot of people who
- 8:16are liberals in Hollywood. You know, the Jewish people in America, whether
- 8:20they be Orthodox or not, always thought that they had a safe home in
- 8:24the Democratic Party. It's always been a lie. I think President just got
- 8:28in trouble for saying it a little and artfully but out loud. It's always
- 8:33been a live it's been alive for anybody. I mean, I love every
- 8:35Democrat in my life, but I do not understand why they are Democrats or
- 8:41ever could support that terrorist organization. And you know, it's dangerous, it's
- 8:48dangerous to your way of life. If you are a successful actor or a
- 8:52producer or director or screenwriter to say the things that I'm saying. You don't
- 8:58even really want to think the things that I'm saying, because you might find
- 9:01yourself pressed in at a cocktail party, two cocktails up, and you might
- 9:05let the wrong thing slip, and that could be your career. But things
- 9:11are so bad, I think that people are are less afraid. You have
- 9:16people like Dave Chappelle saying no, there are two sexes, a boy and
- 9:20a girl and everything else. You can have it. It's fine, but
- 9:24let's just be real for a moment and recognize science is science. People who
- 9:30constantly preach follow the science, Well, the science is pretty direct on X
- 9:35and Y chromosomes. Hold, Dave Chappelle, I am the batting practice kitcher
- 9:50to a world class slugger. Jerome Hudson with me from Breitbart dot Com.
- 9:58He's entertainment editor, and I told him, I want to talk Disney,
- 10:01DeSantis and the white flag that Disney just tossed, but I want to set
- 10:07it up this way, Jerome, I want to broaden it a little bit.
- 10:09Disney has now said they're going to reboot Pirates of the Caribbean franchise.
- 10:16They're going to do it without Johnny Depp, which to me means there is
- 10:20no rebooting. But broadly speaking, is this a hail Mary to try to
- 10:26get some cash flow back into Disney because their movie ops stink so badly?
- 10:33And does this in any way, shape or form connect to Disney surrendering to
- 10:39Governor de Sandis in the state of Florida, the latter Disney surrendering to Governor
- 10:48DeSantis. They were just never actually going to win regally, right that anyway?
- 10:56Agree? You know, the fair application of law I think extend to
- 11:01tax law and property and all that you know. About a year ago,
- 11:05Bob Iger basically said that Disney would stay out of politics. Now all of
- 11:11this happened, the really Creek Florida battled with DeSantis and Iiger and Disney happened
- 11:18because Disney decided in a very weird way that it would inject itself into politics,
- 11:24and not just any type of politics, to politics of sexualized conversations between
- 11:28adult teachers and third and fourth grader, seven and eight year olds or however
- 11:33old you are in school. And that was a horrific business decision, and
- 11:41that opened the Pandora's box to videos of Disney executives saying, my child is
- 11:48pan sexual. I want pan sexual characters in fairy tales about princesses and princes.
- 11:54And you know that didn't help a corporation, and that had already been
- 12:01called out on as hypocrisy about being a pride propride corporation in Disney while it
- 12:07was expanding its operations in China where you are either killed, disappeared or abused
- 12:15for being gay and ten majority Muslims were even worse things happened to you if
- 12:20you were on the LGBTQ plus pregnant man emoji spectrum. So Bob Iger has
- 12:26always been a very very savvy executive. And you know when Disney in twenty
- 12:33eighteen became the first corporation to weigh in on the Georgia Heartbeat Bill, we're
- 12:37now almost a decade removed from that. Yeah. I mean, I'm not
- 12:43saying that Disney won't continue to write big checkster Republicans and Democrats, but the
- 12:48loud overtures weighing in, and they've had presson plenty of opportunity to do it
- 12:54on one political issue or another. I think those days are gone as long
- 12:58as Bob Iger is there, which will not be for too many more years.
- 13:03I think he just extended himself to twenty twenty six, Disney jumped into
- 13:09the streaming game. That is a net loser for just about every corporation that
- 13:13does it. And yes, you're right, fewer people are going to the
- 13:18movie theater, but that is because of COVID slightly. Yes, there are
- 13:22options, but the movies are not that good, and they certainly aren't good
- 13:26compared to what they used to be. We just asked ras Mussen exclusively one
- 13:33question. Do people enjoy watching movies today compared to twenty thirty and fifty years
- 13:37ago. I'm probably breaking some sort of journalistic rule, but I'll just say
- 13:43an overwhelming majority of people enjoyed movies made two three and five decades ago than
- 13:50they do today. That hurts you if you're Disney, because for years now
- 13:54you've been dredging up old ip very popular franchises and just remaking them. You've
- 14:03swapped races, you've swapped genders. You've put in pan sexual Lando Kallisian,
- 14:13who was always a swave could looking. You know, at the time,
- 14:18it mattered that he was a black character of note in the Star Wars franchise.
- 14:22I will say it again. No one asked for fifth Indiana Jones.
- 14:26But Disney did it anyway. That hurts your brand over time, a brand
- 14:31that was already becoming toxic because of your crazy sexualization policies. But Bob Iger
- 14:39again savvy. He's largely publicly shifted away from making political overtures. He's making
- 14:46massive, multi billion dollar deals in India, He's expanding in Southern California and
- 14:50Disneyland. He's trying to set up a great golden exit ramp for himself.
- 14:58I don't know what he's going to do Disney. The thing's never gonna make
- 15:01any money. I don't know what. I don't even want to acknowledge Preston
- 15:05that there's new Pirates of the Caribbean thing that's happening. It's just no way
- 15:11it's going to be successful unless they bring back Johnny Depp, which they probably
- 15:16won't because Jerry Bruckheimer has said that he's not coming back. It could be
- 15:22a feminist disaster. I don't know. I just I feel like, you
- 15:28know, they get a few things right at Disney, and didn't they announced
- 15:31this, But Disney has announced Star Wars movies that will never happen either.
- 15:37So we could be talking a month from now and the new Pirates of the
- 15:41Caribbean franchise isn't isn't happening again? I don't know. Well, we'll talk
- 15:45a month from now and we'll see about that prediction. Jerome, thanks has
- 15:50always for the time. Brother. I love you lovely too. Thank you
- 15:54bye. Jerome Hudson with us. He's the entertainment editor at brightbart dot com.
- 16:00He's the author of the Fifty Things books. Yes you can order them
- 16:03online, but more importantly, he's our friend. Here on The Morning Show
- 16:06with Preston Scott,
