Transcript
- 0:23Speaker 1: Hey, there, this week, inside the room where it happens, you'll hear an aha moment where my client realizes there is no comparison because she is completely unique.
- 0:34Speaker 1: Jealousy creeps in when we compare.
- 0:37Speaker 1: But what if that feeling isn't jealousy, it's recognition, a glimpse of what's possible.
- 0:43Speaker 1: For you, this one's all about turning comparison into empowerment.
- 0:47Speaker 1: For you, this one's all about turning comparison into empowerment, transforming judgment and owning your individuality.
- 0:55Speaker 2: Let's dive in Well yeah, and that makes a lot of sense right Comparison is the enemy of growth, right?
- 1:00Speaker 1: Absolutely yeah.
- 1:03Speaker 1: So when you notice something, usually it's because you see yourself in that.
- 1:10Speaker 1: So when you see someone doing something and you start to feel a little bit I don't know jealous or envious or whatever, you know, it's really good to tap into yourself and go no, no, that's, that's, that's cool.
- 1:20Speaker 1: And what is it that I find cool about that?
- 1:23Speaker 1: It's not going to be the same as what other people think is cool.
- 1:26Speaker 1: So your brand of whatever it is you do, there is room for you.
- 1:30Speaker 1: 100.
- 1:31Speaker 1: There's room for you because you've got your own, you know, your own style, your own way of being yeah, thank you for saying that.
- 1:39Speaker 2: Yeah, that's definitely a big thing too that I've been trying to like.
- 1:42Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't have to compare myself to people.
- 1:48Speaker 1: Well, there is no comparison.
- 1:50Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:52Speaker 1: Period.
- 1:52Speaker 1: We're all unique, right?
- 1:54Speaker 1: I think once we recognize that, you know not, that we want to be unique and therefore separate ourselves from everybody else and stand out from everybody else See, that's ego.
- 2:03Speaker 1: When you recognize other people's brilliance and other people's uniqueness, then you grow your own.
- 2:10Speaker 2: Yeah, I really like how you said that too Finding what you like about this other person.
- 2:16Speaker 2: Are you envious of this person, or is there something like a quality in them that you see or that you enjoyed about yourself?
- 2:22Speaker 2: I think about that sometimes too, when I'm just like that's a media.
- 2:26Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah, that's I think about that sometimes too.
- 2:28Speaker 1: And I'm just like that's a media and like yeah, yeah, yeah, it's really a flag for potential.
- 2:36Speaker 1: So when you feel jealousy, you can convert that to go.
- 2:38Speaker 1: Wait, I'm not jealous, I'm aware that I could do that and you know you could.
- 2:42Speaker 1: Then, you know, fall into the whole victim mentality of all the reasons why you can't.
- 2:46Speaker 1: Why, well, they can.
- 2:47Speaker 1: But the reason they can is because I don't know, they're rich or they're whatever.
- 2:50Speaker 1: You know you fill in all the blanks or they're lucky, or you know and it's like no, I can you know, and it's up to me, and that's where that's ownership.
- 3:02Speaker 1: that's empowerment.
- 3:03Speaker 1: Empowerment is not doing something and then showing off.
- 3:06Speaker 1: That's not empowerment.
- 3:07Speaker 2: Look what I did.
- 3:08Speaker 1: Empowerment is feeling like that, feeling like you know, gosh, I'm jealous owning it.
- 3:15Speaker 1: Why am I jealous?
- 3:16Speaker 1: Getting curious right, dissolving the jealousy by recognizing that actually maybe I'm not living up to my potential, not in a bad way, like bad me, but like.
- 3:25Speaker 1: And then you ask yourself the question do I want to step up?
- 3:28Speaker 1: It's up to me.
- 3:30Speaker 1: If I don't, that's okay, but the choice is in me.
- 3:33Speaker 1: But all this bullshit comparison is not helping anybody, especially you yeah, yeah 100%.
