- 0:00[SPEAKER_00]: Jacksonville Jack Wars fans, welcome in to Dove All Daily, presented by Gen Jack.com.
- 0:03[SPEAKER_00]: I'm Jordan Illuga.
- 0:04[SPEAKER_00]: Thanks so much for being here Wednesday, March 4th.
- 0:06[SPEAKER_00]: We have got some breaking news.
- 0:07[SPEAKER_00]: The Jacksonville Jack Wars are bringing back Titan, Quentin Morris on a one-year $3 million deal.
- 0:17[SPEAKER_00]: Worth up to $3 million, I should say.
- 0:19[SPEAKER_00]: A one-year deal worth up to $3 million, according to Jordan Schultz, who, you know, does a good job covering the NFL.
- 0:27[SPEAKER_00]: And Schultz says this about the signing Morris is an ascending player who appeared in 14 games last season.
- 0:34[SPEAKER_00]: Jacksonville values him for his blocking and special teams ability.
- 0:37[SPEAKER_00]: All he has also shown the capacity to contribute in the passing game.
- 0:41[SPEAKER_00]: Nice little uh uh in my opinion agent talk right there.
- 0:48[SPEAKER_00]: agent given Jordan Schultz some info there nothing wrong with that good for Jordan Schultz we're reporting that good for Quentin Morris good for the Jaguar so Quentin Morris Jaguar is tied in who they signed last year spent some time on the practice squad and earned a spot and they have really shown a lot of interest and I say they this regime James Gladstone Liam Cohen, etc.
- 1:10[SPEAKER_00]: have shown a lot of interest and
- 1:11[SPEAKER_00]: And guys that have to get the job done the hard way.
- 1:15[SPEAKER_00]: Guys who have to go through the practice squad or earn a roll with the team and then they get their opportunity and they shine.
- 1:23[SPEAKER_00]: They have really shown a high interest in bringing those guys back and retaining those types of guys.
- 1:28[SPEAKER_00]: And Quentin Morris is a prime example of that.
- 1:31[SPEAKER_00]: And I'll tell you what.
- 1:33[SPEAKER_00]: So this for a while.
- 1:34[SPEAKER_00]: I thought Quentin Morris would be back.
- 1:36[SPEAKER_00]: go back and check the receipts.
- 1:38[SPEAKER_00]: I've talked about Quentin Morris.
- 1:39[SPEAKER_00]: I thought he would be back with the jaguars.
- 1:41[SPEAKER_00]: I'm happy he's back with the jaguars.
- 1:45[SPEAKER_00]: He had to cut his teeth on this roster in 2025 on special teams and he played special teams like throughout the season, but that's how he really started to get noticed a lot.
- 1:55[SPEAKER_00]: He did a really good job in the preseason and he's, in my opinion, a better player and a better fit for this football team than any tie-dend on the roster not named Britain Strange.
- 2:08[SPEAKER_00]: I think Quentin Moore's is the second best tie-dend on the Jaguars roster right now.
- 2:12[SPEAKER_00]: I think he's better than Johnny Munt.
- 2:13[SPEAKER_00]: I think he's better than Hunter Long.
- 2:14[SPEAKER_00]: Now, Hunter Long is a better athlete, sure.
- 2:18[SPEAKER_00]: But I think Quentin Morris is a more consistent player, who, again, has great special teams' value.
- 2:24[SPEAKER_00]: He was a core four special teamer.
- 2:28[SPEAKER_00]: He was on kick return, he was on kick coverage, he was on punt return, he was on punt coverage, didn't do feel go block, but he did it all.
- 2:39[SPEAKER_00]: 271 special teams are up for this guy last year.
- 2:42[SPEAKER_00]: And when you talk about actually playing the tight end position,
- 2:46[SPEAKER_00]: playing on offense for the Jaguars.
- 2:49[SPEAKER_00]: He also had 219 reps there.
- 2:51[SPEAKER_00]: A lot of those came after week 10.
- 2:53[SPEAKER_00]: Prior to week 10, he had like six total offensive reps. After week 10, 33 snaps, week 10, 50 snaps, week 11, 20 snaps, week 12, 12 snaps, week 13, 14, 20 snaps and week 14, 17, 15, you know, it goes on and on.
- 3:10[SPEAKER_00]: He was getting more snaps.
- 3:12[SPEAKER_00]: And that was after Britain Strange was back for a lot of it.
- 3:15[SPEAKER_00]: Um, some of that was was was Britain's strange still trying to work back, but to me, he is just a better player than Johnny Month and Hunter Long, and I'm happy to see him back, and I'm happy that he's going to be part of this.
- 3:31[SPEAKER_00]: this thing moving forward.
- 3:32[SPEAKER_00]: I think he epitomizes the type of team that Jack Wars want to build, which is tough, blue collar, hard working, loves ball, elevates the group by being nothing more than themselves types of players that James Gladstone likes to say, all of that stuff applies to Quentin Morris.
- 3:50[SPEAKER_00]: All of it.
- 3:51[SPEAKER_00]: And spent three years in Buffalo before coming to Jacksonville, prime of his career right now.
- 3:58[SPEAKER_00]: will have even more opportunity to, you know, be a more solidified part of this this team and in 2020, six and he was in 2025 from an offensive standpoint, I think he's got more liable hands for sure than than Hunter Long or Johnny Month.
- 4:17[SPEAKER_00]: I think I know Johnny Month has history with this, this coaching staff and stuff, but I
- 4:28[SPEAKER_00]: And I want the Jaguars to upgrade Titan.
- 4:32[SPEAKER_00]: I think getting Quint Moore's on the field more is an upgrade.
- 4:34[SPEAKER_00]: And he is much more of a blocker than anything else.
- 4:37[SPEAKER_00]: That's for sure.
- 4:39[SPEAKER_00]: But I think he's a good blocker who has reliable hands.
- 4:42[SPEAKER_00]: And it's going to be where he's supposed to be when he's supposed to be there.
- 4:46[SPEAKER_00]: I can't say the same thing for a month all the time.
- 4:48[SPEAKER_00]: There was just too many mistakes in my mind.
- 4:51[SPEAKER_00]: And I can't say the same thing for a hundred long.
- 4:53[SPEAKER_00]: Who has had injuries and also inconsistent play at times?
- 4:57[SPEAKER_00]: Underlong has more high level reps like that's a guy who at moments can look like a high level starting tight end, but other moments, it's not quite there, you need more consistency.
- 5:07[SPEAKER_00]: So, I like it, I like it a lot, bringing Quentin Morris back, but I want them to do even more.
- 5:16[SPEAKER_00]: In my opinion, bringing Quentin Morris back, though, means that that more is probably going to be in the draft if anything.
- 5:23[SPEAKER_00]: I think the Jaguars would like to be able to run more 12 and 13 personnel, which they did a good bit.
- 5:28[SPEAKER_00]: But I think they would like to be able to run it and be more effective.
- 5:31[SPEAKER_00]: So there's tight ends in the draft that I would really love to see them target.
- 5:35[SPEAKER_00]: And they could shift like
- 5:37[SPEAKER_00]: their plan so far with the Titan position has been adding players who are good blockers who aren't net negatives in the passing game.
- 5:46[SPEAKER_00]: That's literally what James Ladsson said after signing Hunter Long and Johnny Munt last year in for agency.
- 5:56[SPEAKER_00]: That's great.
- 5:57[SPEAKER_00]: I think you can find people there a little bit more consistent.
- 6:01[SPEAKER_00]: I love Jack Andrews out of Texas.
- 6:03[SPEAKER_00]: I think he'd be a perfect compliment, because this is a good blocker, great receiver.
- 6:08[SPEAKER_00]: I would say a very good athlete, not on a lead athlete, at the Titan position, Jack Andrews out of Texas.
- 6:15[SPEAKER_00]: But they could shift up and they could go get a more receiving-based Titan as well, like a Max Clare.
- 6:21[SPEAKER_00]: I doubt that that's what they do.
- 6:23[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think that's what they've shown they have an interest in doing.
- 6:25[SPEAKER_00]: I think they want balanced guys.
- 6:27[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think Max Clare is gonna be a balanced guy.
- 6:31[SPEAKER_00]: but Jack Andrews makes a lot of sense to me.
- 6:34[SPEAKER_00]: Sam Rausch makes a lot of sense to me.
- 6:37[SPEAKER_00]: Marlin Klein at a Michigan.
- 6:39[SPEAKER_00]: I love his game.
- 6:41[SPEAKER_00]: I think that Oscar Delp out of Georgia makes sense.
- 6:46[SPEAKER_00]: So you know, guys that are good athletes,
- 6:49[SPEAKER_00]: different varying levels of success as receivers.
- 6:52[SPEAKER_00]: To me, injuries is the most balanced of all those guys.
- 6:55[SPEAKER_00]: I think that Marlon Klein out of Michigan is in a elite athlete who's also a great blocker.
- 7:01[SPEAKER_00]: I think his hands are not quite as consistent at the point like a Jack Andrews, but he's a bigger, better, higher ceiling player.
- 7:09[SPEAKER_00]: I think Sam Roush, he tested really well as an athlete for what his role has been, which has mainly been an inline blocking Titan.
- 7:17[SPEAKER_00]: But he has a lot of production and consistent, he's not going to go up and extend away from his body and get a lot of contested grabs, but he can work as a decent athlete at the Titan position, a great blocker and somebody who can positively impact the passing game as a
- 7:37[SPEAKER_00]: third or fourth option on a given play, not a number one option on a given play like a Britain strain to actually be.
- 7:44[SPEAKER_00]: And then you talk about Oscar Delp.
- 7:47[SPEAKER_00]: I think he's got so much on tap potential as a receiver, but he's already shown a lot as a blocker.
- 7:53[SPEAKER_00]: So those are some guys that I'd be interested in in the draft.
- 7:56[SPEAKER_00]: There were definitely free agent tight ends.
- 7:58[SPEAKER_00]: I was interested in it as well.
- 8:00[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm not saying this definitely precludes them from going and getting a free agent tight end.
- 8:05[SPEAKER_00]: You talk about Kate Aughton.
- 8:07[SPEAKER_00]: I love his game.
- 8:08[SPEAKER_00]: I think he would be so good with Britain strange and he has history in this offense.
- 8:12[SPEAKER_00]: I think Tyler Higby could make sense as well.
- 8:15[SPEAKER_00]: He's up there in age.
- 8:16[SPEAKER_00]: I've always loved Dallas.
- 8:17[SPEAKER_00]: God, it's game.
- 8:18[SPEAKER_00]: But,
- 8:19[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, this might mean that if they're adding tight end, it might be looking at the draft.
- 8:24[SPEAKER_00]: We'll see.
- 8:25[SPEAKER_00]: I'm excited to see, you know, next few days, obviously, a lot is going to happen on the news front.
- 8:30[SPEAKER_00]: I would say, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday for the Jaguars and a lot of teams are on the league and then on Monday, you have legal tampering getting kicked off.
- 8:39[SPEAKER_00]: It's going to be a wild ride over the next week or so.
