- 0:24It is time leave your worries outside and join me. Dan O'Malley trade Trendholm
- 0:30and sitting in for Raz Sharma. Today is the one the only anado Y
- 0:42back in the tree house. Yay and a Dahar is back in the Treehouse.
- 0:48From the Bow and Them Show on Lone Star ninety two five. I
- 0:53still have a hard time not calling it ninety two to five kseps because I
- 0:57don't know if and if I've told you, but nine five kzps was where
- 1:02I got my absolute first job in radio and promotions, all the way back
- 1:07in December of nineteen ninety eight, so that station has a special place in
- 1:11my heart, as do you. And we welcome you into the treehouse.
- 1:15Well, thank you. Good to be back in the treehouse. And we've
- 1:19had you in here a couple of times for live shows that we've done on
- 1:25site. But this is actually this seems like a crime on my part,
- 1:29so I had need to apologize that we hadn't had you on in this capacity
- 1:33before today. That being said, in my defense, I wasn't entirely sure
- 1:38if you were allowed to, but clearly you have ascended to the level of
- 1:42Boe and Them show boeing them as bo Roberts co host to where you can
- 1:47walk around the halls of iHeartRadio and go I can do what I want.
- 1:49I'm I'm both co hosting. Either that or I'm a rebel. I'm going
- 1:55to go with that as well. I also think it may have to do
- 1:57with I think, deep down you frighten some people because while you're very much
- 2:06like a chihuahua drunk on tequila, because you're small and you're cute and you're
- 2:15full of tequila, that also makes you a little bit vicious and and I
- 2:21think I think that, uh, I think that strikes fear in the hearts
- 2:23of some people. And so that's why we keep you very very close.
- 2:29Trey, or Chihuahua's vicious, mine's not exactly. See, well, I've
- 2:38seen others that that might be, you know, classified as aggressive. Yeah,
- 2:45you knew that. That was my college nickname, the party Chiuala,
- 2:47because I was too small to be a party animal, so they call me
- 2:53Partyuala. I think that's so fitting. You do realize, you do realize,
- 3:00Anna though, that uh uh, Daisy Tray's Jihuahua is basically the only
- 3:07female he has not driven crazy. I don't believe that. Oh you should
- 3:15heart well, I try dating him. Yeah, I want to know do
- 3:22you bathe your women like you bathed Daisy, because that was a really cute
- 3:25picture that you posted. No, hopefully, and he's someone I dated,
- 3:31it's bathed more than Daisy. Then again, if if, if the if
- 3:38the women that Tray was dating had dungues the size of daisies, he'd probably
- 3:42jump in the dub with him more often. Yeah, and no matter how
- 3:46crazy they were, he'd stay with him. That goes without saying anyway,
- 3:54we welcome you Anna into the tree I was happy to have you, uh
- 3:58for a couple of reasons. One because as we love you too, because
- 4:00we're just a little bit of afraid, and also because it's fun to have
- 4:05you in here. Because I wanted to. I wanted to put you on
- 4:09the spot and ask you a question. Okay, would you want to return
- 4:15next week for an episode inside the Treehouse. Let's see how this goes first.
- 4:20That's a good answer, that's a really really I would you know?
- 4:25Dan, All you have to do is text me or call me or tear
- 4:28it can text or call and I will be there if I can. Absolutely,
- 4:31Well, we appreciate that. And the reason why I wanted to ask
- 4:33you that is because last month we did leading up to the Super Bowl,
- 4:40we did shows five days a week, Monday through Friday leading up to the
- 4:44Super Bowl, and we called it our Super Stupid Week. Well, that
- 4:47seemed to go pretty well. Not only did we enjoy it, but a
- 4:53number of listeners enjoyed it as well. And you know, you know us
- 4:57and the listeners like it, then by god, we should do things that
- 5:00listeners like. So we are doing it again next week. We are doing
- 5:10five days a week inside the Treehouse once again, Monday through Friday. Four
- 5:16our spring Breakout spring Break in the Treehouse five days a week, Monday through
- 5:24Friday, culminating in a live Friday episode right here in the Treehouse. Nice.
- 5:30Yeah, I'm kind of excited about it, So I guess I should
- 5:39well right now, just water, But next Friday it's probably gonna be tequila,
- 5:43hopefully in your honor. Because of all the people that I'm hoping to
- 5:46have on next week for guests, you're one of the ones that is most
- 5:50well versed in doing live radio. So I was going to ask, if
- 5:55you're available, would you want to do the live show on Friday. Absolutely
- 6:00absolutely, and because of spring break we will be doing some drinking. Hell
- 6:04yeah, the party Chihuahua is back. Yeah, oh man, that makes
- 6:14me very very excited. We're also having a sort of a subtitle of next
- 6:17Week, So next week is a Treehouse spring Breakout, but I've alternately named
- 6:21it Treehouse Gone Wild. I like that. Yeah, So we will be
- 6:28promoting that. We were already promoting it now, but I just want everyone
- 6:32to put it down in the calendars, mark it down, set some alarms,
- 6:35go ahead, and go to your favorite podcasting platform, which, if
- 6:39you're hearing this right now, you've pretty much already done that. So tell
- 6:42a friend, share the show with a friend who could use it, pick
- 6:45me up, and let them know that they can get five days as Stupid
- 6:49inside the Treehouse next week Monday through Friday, episodes each day, including Friday,
- 6:56which we'll also have a live component, and then once that live show
- 6:59is done, we'll turn it around and drop it out of the Treehouse in
- 7:02its normal episode fashion that afternoon. Because it's taken decades, but we're kind
- 7:11of slick now, not totally slick, just kind of pray you want to
- 7:15weigh in on it. On our slickness. Yeah, we're a fine sandpaper.
- 7:29Look at it this way. We're not prison slick. We're just Treehouse
- 7:31slick. Yeah, that's a lot it does, especially giving some former members
- 7:41and hangers on of the show's prison status. It's it's kind of a big
- 7:46thing to say around here for those of us that are left. So next
- 7:49week, next week, five days a week, Treehouse Spring, Breakout,
- 7:55the Treehouse Gone Wild. So be sure to share that with a friend and
- 7:59have them find the show Treehouse podcast on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, iHeart YouTube
- 8:05and Pandora, and then you can find some other links at Treehouse on Air,
- 8:09dot com and the party chohaha. Making an appearance, Yeah that means
- 8:16that means that means an an a double shot Friday to Friday. We get
- 8:22her twice in one way. Yeah, yeah, lucky me. So the
- 8:28other thing I wanted to ask you about, Anna is you just came back
- 8:33from Vegas and I saw some of the some of your photos on social media
- 8:37and it looked like a great time. You got to do something that I
- 8:41now want to do, which is go check out the sphere in Las Vegas,
- 8:48because that thing just on clips and things that I've seen on social media.
- 8:52It looks amazing, it looks like it's cgi, but it's real,
- 8:58and that thing had to be amazing. It was incredible, and I didn't
- 9:03know whether I was going to be disappointed because so many people had hyped it
- 9:05up. But it was awesome. And my best friend and I have known
- 9:11each other since elementary school, and in nineteen eighty three, she and I
- 9:16went to go see YouTube for the first time at south Park Meadows and Outdoor
- 9:20Venue just south of Austin, and it was when the War album came out,
- 9:26and really they didn't have that big of a fan base in the United
- 9:30States at the time, so it was like being in a backyard picnic with
- 9:35a great band. Plane and ever since then we just fell in love with
- 9:39you too, So to be able to experience you two at the Sphere with
- 9:45her was awesome. Just the images, the video was so clear, you
- 9:52felt like you could touch Bono in the edge. It was just awesome,
- 9:56awesome, awesome. Now, the tickets were very expensive, so I had
- 10:00to sell a kidney, But other than that, it's really good. I'm
- 10:05sorry to hear about your kidney, but the good news is I'm sure they
- 10:09were super expensive, but it was worth it for us to be able to
- 10:15go to Vegas and have that kind of adventure. And just Bono sounded great.
- 10:20Still has the same swagger that he had from nineteen eighty three. The
- 10:24Edge. Larry Mullen was in the audience that night that we were there,
- 10:28because we were there for the very last show at the Sphere, and Dave
- 10:31Grohl was there first, Lady Joe Biden was there. It was it was
- 10:35hoppin' wow. I can assume though, that if you had to give up
- 10:41a kidney to go to the concert, seeing as your reputation as being the
- 10:45Party of Chihuaha, you gave him the bad kidney. Oh absolutely, the
- 10:48one that was going to come out sooner or later. Anyway, Yeah,
- 10:50that one was on its last. I feel sorry for the person that gets
- 10:56it. I have known a couple of people that might have been desperate enough
- 11:01to take it. But so Trey, you laughed when Anna said where it
- 11:09was? She saw you two first in Austin back in the day. What
- 11:11have you done there? Oh? I so back in the day. So
- 11:16I worked the beer trucks and for the Budweiser distributor down there, and they
- 11:20would have outdoor concerts out there, and it wasn't it was a very raw
- 11:26amphitheater like it wasn't like STARplex or anything else. I mean, it really
- 11:31was like a field in a stage backyard barbecue, right and that's and but
- 11:37when it rained, it was a giant mud pit. And you just really
- 11:41haven't lived until you've spent an all all day at an all day concert.
- 11:48It culminated with the Black Crows and uh, but just just pushing kegs through
- 11:54mud that that was one of the longer days of my life that you know,
- 11:58left an indelible memory on. Hence the stript shopping center now dan South
- 12:05Park Meadows. There's like a best Buy or TJ max something there. Well,
- 12:09you know, pretty soon that's what all of Texas is gonna be.
- 12:13We're just going to be connected, like a North Texas DFW is going to
- 12:18be connected to Austin, to San Antonio and Houston. Not buy a railway
- 12:22that's going to ever be built because they can't figure that out. But instead
- 12:26it's going to be connected by one long suburban shopping center that goes across the
- 12:33entire state. And there'll be chain restaurants down thirty five all the way from
- 12:39Dallas to Austin. Yeah. The good news is though you'll be able to
- 12:43walk. It'll take you a couple, you know, a couple of days,
- 12:45but you'll be able to walk from let's say, Anna, Texas,
- 12:50all the way down to probably you know, Corpus Christy and you'll never get
- 12:54wet because you'll stay inside of a Home Goods or an Apple Bees into an
- 13:01olive garden into of course Chipotle, pot Belly, Starbucks all the way down
- 13:07and then the and then occasionally maybe they'll connect to Bucky's in there. But
- 13:11it really is it's it just ye, it's connecting. Do you remember when
- 13:15they had those horrible floods in central Texas in the Wimberley area, Dripping Springs
- 13:22and San Marcus. You remember that they said it was because they had had
- 13:28so much development of these strip shopping centers and apartments and everything that the water
- 13:33had nowhere to go because it was all pavement. And before it had it
- 13:37could you know, go to rivers or aquifers, and now it's just all
- 13:41this pavement. So that's why they have a flooding situation now in central Texas.
- 13:48The other thing I'm wondering about is with you just coming back from Vegas.
- 13:54That reminded me of one of the most horrific news stories I have heard
- 13:58in a real long time, And I'm wondering if your presence in Las Vegas
- 14:03and I had anything to do with the man who claims to have been stung
- 14:07in the testicles by a scorpion in his hotel room in Las Vegas. So
- 14:15I wasn't there. I was at the Venetian briefly after the U two concert,
- 14:20but I know nothing about scorpions in beds and scorpions stinging people on the
- 14:26testicles, Okay, because I had, I had to. My first thought
- 14:31was not that it was you, Anna, but because when I first saw
- 14:33the story, I don't think I knew you were in Vegas yet. But
- 14:35when I first saw the story about the man being stung in the testicles by
- 14:39a scorpion when he was in Las Vegas, my first thought was, really,
- 14:46is that true? Or is or did he catch some sort of wild
- 14:48Vegas std And that's just the story he came up with when he got home
- 14:52to tell his wife it was a scorpion, yes, not a hooker.
- 14:58Yeah, that's well. Now, when I heard that story, I thought
- 15:03that it was a scam because he apparently like immediately left the hotel. So
- 15:09why don't you take the scorpion that's still attached to your nuts? Apparently?
- 15:15Why didn't you like grab it and take it down to the concierge and go,
- 15:20excuse me, I need to go to the hospital because this just stule
- 15:24me. You know, even even for Las Vegas. I think that that
- 15:28would have, you know, raised a few eyebrows in the lobby at the
- 15:31hotel. Monkey monkey brains with a scorpion attached, Like I'm saying that,
- 15:43I think if you're if you're you're working the front desk at that hotel and
- 15:46some guy comes down with no pants on or the scorpion dangling from his from
- 15:52his bits, I mean, he should have pants on, just his sack
- 15:58just hanging out of the front of his Underwe sure that you have a witness
- 16:03to it, don't you? How else is he going to get money from
- 16:07the hotel a video? The thing is, though, is that's still not
- 16:19going to be proof that it's the hotel's fault that he got stung on the
- 16:23nut sack by a scorpion, because the lawyers for the hotel could simply say
- 16:27that he brought the scorpion in himself as part of a nefarious plot to sue
- 16:33the hotel. See, maybe I just think bad of people because I thought
- 16:38it's a scam. He's just trying to get money out of the Venetian.
- 16:42And maybe it is. But now imagine, as if it's bad enough,
- 16:45being this guy or the front desk employee who's having to witness this, Now
- 16:48imagine being the tourist who walks into the lobby to check in, and that's
- 16:52the first thing you see when you get to Vegas. And what is the
- 16:56reaction from a scorpion sting? Do your balls swell up? Yeah? Yeah,
- 17:03he's he's Yeah, he's he's swelled up pretty good, Trey. Well,
- 17:11maybe it's some ground level marketing for a new attraction. There a new
- 17:18attraction in Vegas called Sting with an exclamation point. I'll tell you right now,
- 17:25if I get to Vegas and someone approaches me with two tickets to Sting,
- 17:30I'm gonna be a little cautious and I'm gonna staying at the sphere.
- 17:37That's how big his balls got, as big as a sphere and you have
- 17:41to and now you have to make sure that that you're aware of everything.
- 17:45You have to keep in mind that just because it's too stick, just because
- 17:48it's two tickets to Sting, doesn't necessarily mean it's the singer. Although I
- 17:57would like to see testicles on the on the screen at the Sphere, I
- 18:00think that's only a matter of time before it happens, only if the scorpions
- 18:03dangling from them. I can actually see that in my in my mind,
- 18:11and it's both hysterical and terrifying. Okay, so after Sting plays at the
- 18:18Sphere, the scorpions, wow, and this is this is your eighties teen
- 18:30movie moment. You get the slow clap right there. Bo Roberts is a
- 18:37lucky man to have you on Bowing Star. You're listening to The tree House.

- 19:22Lache hosts it and he comes out and he's like, all right, this
- 19:25is a social experiment to see if two people can fall in love without ever
- 19:30seeing each other. And it's like all right, Nick, Like you could
- 19:37have just asked a blind person if they've ever felt love. That's Emily Cottilano

- 20:18I know you and your wife Carrie your big travelers. You love to
- 20:22go out and see the world. I'm assuming you guys have been to Vegas.
- 20:25Actually, us two together has not been to Vegas as a couple.
- 20:30Both of us have been to Vegas independently our prior lives. Now I'm gonna
- 20:34ask you a separate question, and these two will eventually overlap. Have you
- 20:37ever been stung by a scorpion? I am been lucky not to have been,
- 20:41not to be. No, for one man, those things overlapped in
- 20:45one trip. He claims he got stung by a scorpion in Las Vegas in
- 20:48his hotel room. In the testicles, so many thoughts. Yeah. I
- 20:55don't know about you, Dan, but when I go to a hotel room,
- 20:56one of the first things I do is I throw the sheet back and
- 21:00I'm trying to look into the covers, and I'm looking underneath at the mattress,
- 21:03and I'm looking underneath the pillows, and I'm trying to see if there's
- 21:06any dirty marks, because usually most hotels I've ever been and have bright white
- 21:08sheets and bright white blankets, and I'm you know, if you see just
- 21:11a smidge of anything, you're like, oh, sturdy, sturdy. I
- 21:15think if there's any city in the world that you shouldn't just immediately jump into
- 21:18bed without looking first, it would be Las Vegas. Yeah. The only
- 21:22thing I would never want to do in Vegas probably is take a black light,
- 21:26because I don't want to see that, you know, how they say
- 21:27ignorance is bliss. I believe it to be true, and I think that
- 21:30would be the case there. Well, what you don't want in the roofing
- 21:33industry is ignorance. This is why you need to call Daniel Cook for your

- 23:00Dash Comedy Club dot com. I love that you got a quick look at
- 23:07Daisy. Two you bring Daisy back up again. See you're saying, so
- 23:11now I know she's there. You had the Daisy just Tray's Chihuahua. I
- 23:15feel like this is almost like chihuahua meeting chihuahua with Anna and Daisy. She's
- 23:22just so precious. I remember when Trey used to bring her up to the
- 23:25radio station and just brought so much joy to people. Hi, sweetness,
- 23:30look at that. Yes, it's it's really troubling to me that after we
- 23:34brought days or after Trey brought Daisy to the radio station, they put rat
- 23:38traps out the next day. I thought that was kind of insulting, very
- 23:41insulting. Such a good girl, our official mascot Daisy. All right,
- 23:51Anna, I have a surprise for you. Since it is the uh Fridday
- 23:55episode inside the Treehouse, how would you feel about doing some birthdays? Oh,
- 23:59let's do it. I've missed these so much, have you? Because
- 24:03I was talking to a police officer friend of mine and he said, he's
- 24:06like, man, I do understand all the hate that birthdays get. And
- 24:07I don't know if that was like you would announce everybody's birthday, I left
- 24:18off some. Because of our new format here, I've I've become more judicious
- 24:23as far as which birthdays I read off, and I don't feel compelled to
- 24:29go to the bottom of the list anymore. Like if we get something good
- 24:32out of it, then I'm done. But it's funny because the birthday thing
- 24:36started out with the only reason we did it was because we thought it was
- 24:38like a week segment or a week feature that other radio shows would do.
- 24:42So we started doing them to make fun of people doing birthdays as a joke,
- 24:48and then it would actually then it became ingrained in the show because we
- 24:52also got so much random content out of it that we had to keep it.
- 24:56So did the birthdays things start with him doing Brokaw? Maybe? I
- 25:07don't. I don't even know. It might. I honestly don't know.
- 25:11I just know that like it, the whole bit started out with or that
- 25:14bit started out with teasing a serious headline, and then and then you know,
- 25:18like, oh my god, there's a horrible nuclear meltdown three Mile Island.
- 25:21But first birthdays, I just I remember him doing that in the Brokaw
- 25:26voice, and birthdays. But I remember is that when you would do the
- 25:32birthdays, you would always get content because you would talk about some show that
- 25:37they were in or what they were known for, and then you would go
- 25:40off on a different tangent, and then you would go back to the birthday
- 25:41list exactly. And that's and that's why we still do it in here,
- 25:45mainly because it started out as something stupid. We still do stupid things,
- 25:48and if we get stupid content out of it, they weren't gonna keep fucking
- 25:52doing it. Also, we get to swear in here sometimes. Today is
- 25:57fred Day, March eighth, twenty twenty four birthdays today. Celebrating birthdays is
- 26:07cat von d She is forty two today. Nick Zano from DC's Legends of
- 26:15Tomorrow, he's forty six, James, I don't want your laugh. Van
- 26:19Derbeek turns forty seven. He's all. I guess he's best known as Dawson
- 26:25from Dawson's Creek, But ever since Varsity Blues, in that horrible, horrible
- 26:30Texas accent that he attempted, I just see him as as that person,
- 26:37more so than Dawson from Dawson's Creek, which, honestly I have this theory
- 26:40as well about Varsity Blues, And have you ever seen Varsity Blues the high
- 26:42school fotball movie? So he was supposed to be the weirdo in town,
- 26:47right, He's the one that wanted to get out of Texas and go to
- 26:52I think it was Brown University. He's going to go to an ivy League
- 26:53school. He didn't even need to have the accent, and actually would have
- 26:56worked better if he was the only person in the film that didn't have a
- 27:00Texas accent. It would have made him stand out more as an outsider in
- 27:03this community that he wanted to leave so so much. And I realized I've
- 27:07put more, way more thought into Varsity Blues than the producers of Varsity Blues.
- 27:11But I thought you didn't want his life because he has so many kids.
- 27:17Well that's I guess on a personal level, I would agree with that.
- 27:19But that's the line in the movie that is so atrocious. It's like
- 27:23he's having this verbal fight with his dad and his dad's are why don't you
- 27:26want to be a football star? And James Vanderbeeks, I want to go
- 27:30to Ivy League's going to be smart and stuff, and then the line is
- 27:33I don't want your life, but that life comes in so handy, you
- 27:41know it does. And it's like I said, if he didn't need the
- 27:44accent to do it, but he did, and we have it and now
- 27:47it's a classic. And today is James Vanderbeek's birthday, so happy birthday to
- 27:51him. Freddy Prince Junior turns forty eight today. Also next one, Oh,
- 28:00there we go, there's one I wanted. Mickey Dolans from The Monkeys
- 28:02turns seventy nine today. I'd like to think that Anna, you probably had
- 28:07a Monkey's poster when you were growing up. I had The Monkeys' album and
- 28:14I love I think my first crush was on Davy Jones of the Monkeys.
- 28:18I like Mickey Dolans because he was funny, but I just kind of like
- 28:21just wanted to be his friend. But Davy Jones made my little heart skip
- 28:25a beat. Poor poor Mickey, Poor poor Mickey Dolans. He's forever friend
- 28:32zoned in as a member of the Monkeys, him and Peter Tors right the
- 28:38party. Chiwalla put the monkey in the friend zone. I feel like that's
- 28:45a really messed up children's book that needs to be and illustrated, and I
- 28:55would like to I would like to nominate sam Jackson. I think Samuel L.
- 29:00Jackson should narrate the thing. I think that'd be fair. Oh definitely.
- 29:04It could be his follow up to Go the f to Sleep. Also
- 29:11celebrating birthday today. After Mickey Dolans, who is seventy nine, you've got
- 29:15Susan Clark, she is eighty one. This is where that interesting random content
- 29:21from birthday's condor Are you ready? Here we go? Susan Clark, who
- 29:23is celebrating her eighty first birthday today. She famously played two roles. The
- 29:30first is as Emmanuel Lewis's mom on Webster, but the role that I didn't
- 29:38know was also her is the naughty stripper Cherry Forever in Porky's No Wow?
- 29:51Yeah? And that boys and Girls is why we do birthdays in the treehouses
- 29:56because sometimes we learn little things like that, like Webster's mom was Cherry Forever
- 30:00in Porky's And who played Webster's dad? Uh, Alex uh Kraus Karris,
- 30:14Alex Kris, Yeah, big guy, big mustache. Were they married in
- 30:18real life? She and Alex Karras, I don't know, but I wonder
- 30:22if if they weren't. And Alex Carris had to go home and tell his
- 30:27actual wife that he's doing a TV show, Uh with the girl that played
- 30:32Cherry Forever in Porky's. I bet that was not a fun night in that
- 30:34house. And how about that ironic name Cherry Forever for a hooker? M
- 30:41hm. You know what it's all about setting expectations and you gotta I think,
- 30:47I think you're selling more of a experience than than reality. So then
- 30:52the name relieve you. I just it's actually a reminder of what I need
- 30:57to do. Is I need to go back and rewatch Porky's. That's one
- 31:00of those I try to have a list going of current movies and TV shows
- 31:04that I need to watch, because it's so hard to do that these days
- 31:07because there's so many platforms and so many shows to try to watch. I
- 31:11need to go back and watch the Olden's and Porky's is one I want.
- 31:12I want to go back and see you and that is definitely one I I'd
- 31:15like to go back, just to see how it holds up, Like,
- 31:18is it Like I think I've taught Revenge of the Nerds. It just does
- 31:22not hold up and in any fashion, Are you serious? Really it doesn't.
- 31:26Well no, here's the problem in it. It holds up from a
- 31:30comedic standpoint and from a somewhat a story standpoint of overcoming bullies. But the
- 31:38detail stuff is where Revenge of the Nerds gets in some real trouble. I
- 31:41mean, you have just all sorts of stereotypes, but then you also have
- 31:45you know, at the end of the day, it's a little ray pie.
- 31:49Yeah. Basically he sneaks in it. It is it is. I
- 31:56mean that's kind of that's how he gets the girl. Yeah, pretend to
- 32:00her Saturday night fever. To me. When I watched it the first time,
- 32:07I was like, oh, John Travolva, and then the as I
- 32:09watched it as an adult, I go, that's very rapy what he did
- 32:13to that girl in the back of the car. Saturday Night Fever was the
- 32:19second one, right, No, Saturday Night Fever was the first one,
- 32:22and Staying Alive was the second one. Okay, I mean, hell,
- 32:29go back and I go back and watch other old things, like going back
- 32:31and watching the Honeymooners. The punchline a punchline at least once per episode.
- 32:38Was was was him making fun of knocking his wife to the moon. Oh
- 32:45that's right, all in jest, though, Dan, It was all in
- 32:49jest? Was it? Because? I don't know? I mean, I
- 32:52feel like maybe maybe their final episode, maybe he actually did it. Finally
- 32:59they finally pay it off after so many seasons, he finally, you know,
- 33:01took Alice to the moon. Hey, Alex Carris was married to Susan
- 33:07Clark forever Cherry. You know what, Alex Carris just moved up my respect
- 33:13chart. He got Cherry Forever from Porky's. Good on him. Porky's didn't
- 33:22one of their stars just recently die one of the characters. Hmm, that's
- 33:29a god. There were so many people. The only the only named person
- 33:32I truly recall out of that at the top of my head is Kim Catrol
- 33:37Okay, because she was the one. She was the one that was super
- 33:40vocal. She was the gym teacher who was super loud when she had sex
- 33:44in the whole gym, the whole school heard it. Talk about a dubious
- 33:47distinction star of Porky's. Yeah, that is one of those weird Hollywood moments
- 33:55where you want to be proud that you finally booked a gig, but then
- 33:58you got to go home and tell your parents what the movie is and what
- 34:00it's about and what role you're playing. Yeah, if they had had I
- 34:05M d B back then and been like, really, hey, it was
- 34:09a paying gig. It was a it was a it was a paying gig,
- 34:14and at the end of the day, I mean it was It's the
- 34:15movies are classic. I mean not everyone can say that they were in a
- 34:19classic movie. I mean it's not Academy Award winning classic, but it is
- 34:25a comedy classic, that's right. And Hollywood is typically frowned on on comedies,
- 34:31especially really really especially ones with bathroom glorys and how many movies can claim
- 34:42that, Dan. Honestly, I think it's just the one. Like the
- 34:45only other movie I can think of that has a quantico bathroom gloryhole of a
- 34:50mainstream film was one of the uh scary movies like the the Scream parodies.
- 35:00It was either the first one or the second one. And one of the
- 35:01Wayans brothers gets killed by a weenie through the ear of a gloryhole in a
- 35:06movie theater bathroom. And then of course there's the the I think it was
- 35:09a lifetime television movie, the George Michael Story Glory Hole Forever. Yeah,
- 35:22I would imagine that. Yeah, No, I imagine that. It was
- 35:25fun trying to come up with the title in that writer's room. Wake me
- 35:34up before you go, Wake me up before you blow blow there it is.
- 35:43That's one we were looking for. You're in the tree House. Visit
- 35:52us online on Treehouse on Air dot com. Time now to get Jacqueline from
- 36:04Brooks Plumbing into the tree House for any and all of your plumbing ones and
- 36:07needs two one, four, three, six, eight, thirty eight thirty
- 36:09eight the website Brooks Plumbing Texas dot com. Jacqueline, have you been to
- 36:14Vegas? I kind of assume you have, most people seem to have been
- 36:16to Vegas, and if so, what's your Vegas recommendation to anyone? Okay,
- 36:22I am a Vegas officionado and I actually used to go to Vegas every
- 36:24Easter break, spring break, summer break. I love Vegas. I live
- 36:29for Vegas, and I have figured out the Vegas cheat code, so we're
- 36:32going to totally detour. But there is a website, and God forbid,
- 36:37I cannot remember the name of it right now, but I will figure out
- 36:40what it's called and what it is is. It's a website where you can
- 36:44just put yourself and all of your friends on any VIP list anywhere for anything.
- 36:50You can get tickets to see Little John. You can put yourself on
- 36:52a VIP access to stadium swim at Circa, which is this huge outdoor pool
- 36:58complex with big screen TV and they're always playing football games, et cetera,
- 37:01et cetera. But it's outside and in the sun and on a rooftop.
- 37:05You can put yourself on the guest list to skip the line to go to
- 37:08any nightclub you want to go to. And it took the place of promoters.
- 37:13So it used to be back in the day that a promoter would get
- 37:15paid twenty bucks for every head they brought into any event because there's so many
- 37:20event venues that want to be the big dog in town, and so they
- 37:23used to pay these promoters to bring people in. The promoters would get you
- 37:27to go by saying, hey, i'll put you on the VIP guest list.
- 37:29You'll skip the line because sometimes you wait two hours to get into something.
- 37:31I don't do lines. That's not my style. I want to be
- 37:34the first one in, and they'll comp drinks sometimes for you. Oh,
- 37:37first two hours it's open bar. I could get smashed in two hours,
- 37:42you know, like, oh, I'm a lightweight, and you know I'll
- 37:45be honest with you. Might be well drinks, but hey they're free.
- 37:49And I understand a lot of drinks in Vegas are free. But I don't
- 37:52gamble. So if this is my way, if you want to see a
- 37:54show, if you want to get in a club, if you want to
- 37:57go to a pool party, if you want to go to a concert,
- 38:01that is my cheat code. I love Vegas. Now here's what I'll tell
- 38:05you. I'm also not into spending extravagant amounts of money. So if anybody's
- 38:08looking to go to Vegas right now. The Sahara recently remodeled and is still
- 38:14on the strip, and it is super cheap in comparison to everything else.
- 38:19But did you hear in just the news this morning a man was stung on
- 38:22his testicles by a scorpion in the Venetian Hotel. Did you hear that?
- 38:28Oh? Yes, yeah, things like that don't don't slip past this old
- 38:30news hound. Not that I'm here to market Vegas. But if anybody's going
- 38:34to Vegas and you need tips or you want that website, just send me
- 38:37a message on the Facebook and I'll find that website and send it to you.
- 38:40And the Facebook is, of course Brooks Plumbing. You can also give
- 38:44Jacqueline a call for any and all of those plumbing ones and needs, especially
- 38:46if you want to make sure there's no scorpions in there. Two one four,
- 38:49three six eight thirty eight thirty eight two one fourth, three six eight
- 38:52thirty eight thirty eight. And the website is of course Brooks Plumbing Texas dot

- 39:42today in the Treehouse. We appreciate and now we get to look forward to
- 39:45next week having you in here again for our Treehouse Gone Wild week, which
- 39:52will culminate in a live show on Friday that I've got you booked for for
- 39:57Friday. On that live show, I was wondering, Uh, if if
- 40:01you have room to be exploited more on your schedule, would you mind doing
- 40:06traffic for us next week? Sure? I'm pretty sure. I'm pretty sure
- 40:13that Mike put us as the only podcast in the world that has life traffic.
- 40:21You should do the traffic report from Saint John on Saint John traffic really,
- 40:28you know what, it was kind of bad this morning. I got
- 40:30stuck behind a school bus. I mean, yeah, goats in the roadway,
- 40:35anything like that. Yes, that's actually a thing. Yep. Actually
- 40:38I saw two goats. Saw two goats in the road actually there on the
- 40:42side of the road today. But there are times that they'll be laying on
- 40:45the road the road road or was that your driveway road? Road? We
- 40:52did know soon to be driveway. We do not have, Dan. Dan
- 40:57doesn't think he's getting goats. Yeah, sure, Tara does. Tara want
- 41:04goats. So there is the goat man. They've been introduced to the goat
- 41:08man of Bordeaux Mountain and they live on Bordeau Mountain. So it's just a
- 41:14matter of time. So and and if Tara wants goats, you will have
- 41:19goats. No, but it's down you will. Oh, let's say it,
- 41:25Dan, We're not going to get goats. It's Terra's invinci. I
- 41:36can't say it with conviction. Anna, my wife might hear me. Anyways,
- 41:44I was so glad to have you in here today. I can't wait
- 41:46to have you in here again next week. H one one last thing I
- 41:52was gonna throw at you guys before we get out of here. Besides,
- 41:54you know, thanking you, Anna and reminding everyone don't forget to tell a
- 41:59friend and will be doing the spring breakout Treehouse Gone Wild next week Monday through
- 42:05Friday, one show every single day, dropping outside of the Treehouse or out
- 42:09of the treos, or should say. And that is a very interesting story
- 42:15that actually Trey sent me recently so I can find this real quick. And
- 42:19that was about a man who drunkenly rode a horse up to the fifth floor
- 42:25apartment to make up with his wife, to which I'm wondering many things,
- 42:37not the least of which is that's really taken makeup sex to a whole new
- 42:40level when you bring in a horse. Yeah, was a horse going to
- 42:45be part of it? The funny thing is, Anna, since I'm no
- 42:50longer a employed, responsible broadcaster, I'm just a run a uck podcaster,
- 42:55I don't have to worry about researching any of these stories for truth or details.
- 43:00I'm just gonna I'm just I'm just living on the headlines. Baby,
- 43:07I'm I'm one of the few people that was left in radio that knew what
- 43:09the eaes alert was, and that's and how important how tochnically and technically how
- 43:17important it is when that strobe light goes out, that you're supposed to do
- 43:21something with it and not just ignore it or have them ripped out. Yeah,
- 43:23because legally, if you don't do anything, you could be fined.
- 43:29And if you know something that you're not supposed to do with that eas test,
- 43:32you can be fined. Mm hmmm. I know that you know that
- 43:37Trey knows that. Not everybody else. Some people don't know that. But
- 43:42that's okay. Traffic on Saint John is really not that bad. I will
- 43:46say this. I have yet to see a horse on the road. Now.
- 43:50The same can't be said for this man's apartment building. Where was this
- 43:53apartment? Uh? I actually hang on, I think I don't want to
- 43:59speak out of term and to make sure get this accurate. Now, I
- 44:00care about being accurate. See, you can take me out of the responsible
- 44:05broadcaster role, but you can't take the responsible broadcaster out of me. Russia.
- 44:13This happened in Russia. Russia. Well, now the story makes a
- 44:16lot more sense because I'm sure there was vodka involved. Yeah, police in
- 44:22Russia are questioning a man who drunkenly rode a horse into an apartment building at
- 44:27three am and presented it to his wife to make amends after a fight.
- 44:31Oh god, this may have been worse than just makeup sex. He may
- 44:35have been trying to invite a whole cuckolding situation. Footage of the bizarre scene
- 44:43shows both the large pile of feces the animal left in the building's entrance way
- 44:49and the man's many failed attempts to climb on the horse. At one point,
- 44:55the man apparently thought better of trying to fit the horse into the l
- 45:00to get to his fifth floor apartment and just rode up the stairs instead.
- 45:05He was hoping to show up as Prince Charming and make up with his wife?
- 45:10How is that going to impress her? Though? Really? Well,
- 45:15I mean it's not. I mean, anna, have you ever ridden a
- 45:16horse up a stair well? That ain't easy? Well? Yeah, but
- 45:20still, at the same time, as a woman, when he shows up
- 45:22on the fifth floor with a horse, you're thinking, oh my god,
- 45:29do I have to clean up this mess? If he's drunkenly trying to make
- 45:35up with you at three am, Yes, he's not going to be the
- 45:38one to clean that up. It's going to beat you yet, although we
- 45:42need to get back to this brief moment in which you said, yes,
- 45:44you have ridden a horse on stairs. No I have not. You said,
- 45:50yeah, I've ridden a horse. Then you added on stairs. Okay,
- 45:57yeah, well I think I smell bit for the next Bow and Them
- 46:00show. Yeah, you can be the second person to ride a horse in
- 46:07a radio station. Who was the first person? Who do you think?
- 46:13Yeah? Who do you? Who do you think? All of a sudden
- 46:17one day and this is this is the God's honest truth at two fifteen before
- 46:22at three o'clock show decided he had to ride a horse. And not only
- 46:27that, but just like and not only that, but just like the guy
- 46:30in Russia. He also was not going to clean up the mess of that
- 46:32horse. He was also drunk. See why I wanted to share this story.
- 46:43Parallels, the parallels are just so many you can't you can't ignore them.
- 46:51All right, Seriously, Anna, thank you for hanging out with us
- 46:52inside the treehouse today. We appreciate it. Thank you, and we will
- 46:57see you in here one week from today for the fifth day, for the
- 47:01fifth day in a row. The live show on Friday inside the Treehouse with
- 47:07me Dan Trey Raj hopefully and from the Bow and Them show on lone Star
- 47:13ninety two five and in Taharo, and we'll see if we can convince her
- 47:16to do a little bit of Friday afternoon traffic from Saint John. If you
- 47:23want to come to it from here, that's totally cool. And by the
- 47:25way, if anyone feels like riding a horse around traffic for us, we'd
- 47:30appreciate that. We will see you next time in the Treehouse.
