- 0:45Speaker 3: I always say I like it when the Halloween episodes
- 0:47Speaker 3: air in October, and this is the first one to
- 0:49Speaker 3: air in October in a decade. Correct in the real world,
- 0:51Speaker 3: but I love it when our reviews air around Halloween.
- 0:55Speaker 3: It's almost like we've got a plan. Almost no thing is.
- 0:58Speaker 3: I don't have to plan. It's the fourth of the
- 0:59Speaker 3: United just makes shit work out for him.
- 1:02Speaker 1: Things just fall into place. By the way, who are you?
- 1:04Speaker 1: I am I believe Dando and I am guy and
- 1:08Speaker 1: welcome to the Forefinger Discount the podcast that that's the
- 1:11Speaker 1: important question in Treehouse Horror episodes. Is Matt Groening always
- 1:15Speaker 1: back graining? No, not always? Not always feels like he's
- 1:19Speaker 1: always bat graining.
- 1:20Speaker 3: I'm going to check now because now that you've said that,
- 1:22Speaker 3: maybe you're going to make me out to be a liar,
- 1:23Speaker 3: because I can't.
- 1:24Speaker 1: I wouldn't want to do that. But you know, it
- 1:26Speaker 1: feels like there are always variations on various names. But
- 1:28Speaker 1: I feel like I've always seen it be bad graining.
- 1:32Speaker 3: Matt Groaning, Treeouse of Horror names. I just assumed there
- 1:36Speaker 3: would be a website though, just the Simpson's everything.
- 1:39Speaker 1: Well there's yeah, the Intern's got everything on it. I'll
- 1:41Speaker 1: type tree House Horror speaky names. Maybe you know we're
- 1:45Speaker 1: talking about all this preparation, everything's falling into place for us,
- 1:48Speaker 1: and here I am just sort of throwing a monkey
- 1:49Speaker 1: into the wrench. I should have it's a giant wrench too.
- 1:54Speaker 1: I've really ground the podcast to a holt.
- 1:57Speaker 3: I think bad graining may I don't know. I don't
- 2:01Speaker 3: want to say it is, but I want to say
- 2:02Speaker 3: it isn't. Hey, let's make this interactive. Yeah, let's make
- 2:07Speaker 3: the listeners earn their key. Let's check these people actually
- 2:10Speaker 3: still listening to this.
- 2:11Speaker 1: I used to Hey, yeah there still les Nan. All right.
- 2:15Speaker 1: If Matt Groening has used another name other than Matt
- 2:17Speaker 1: Groening on Treehouse of Horror episodes, let us know, let
- 2:20Speaker 1: us know.
- 2:20Speaker 3: Please mail bad you will not get a price wolving
- 2:23Speaker 3: your discount dot com dot au.
- 2:25Speaker 1: We will be grateful.
- 2:26Speaker 3: Are limited here limited, but we're here to talk about
- 2:30Speaker 3: Treehouse of Horror twenty, which aired in season twenty one.
- 2:32Speaker 3: Of course, as we're doing these reviews, I thought this
- 2:35Speaker 3: is one that had the Charlie Brown reference. That's what
- 2:37Speaker 3: I said to you off the air last week. I
- 2:39Speaker 3: was incorrect. I had a Sweny Todd parody instead. What
- 2:42Speaker 3: do you think of a season of Treous twenty? I
- 2:45Speaker 3: liked to find I thought the first one was the best.
- 2:47Speaker 1: But I'm a bit of a film nerd, so I
- 2:49Speaker 1: like anything that's going to pay tribute to my man,
- 2:52Speaker 1: Alfred Hitchcock. I'll like the second one the best. That
- 2:54Speaker 1: was my favorite. I'm also a sucker for zombie and
- 2:57Speaker 1: post apocalyptic movies, so that was also a good one.
- 3:00Speaker 1: I liked how it started. I thought it did well
- 3:02Speaker 1: for the first two thirds of it, and then it
- 3:04Speaker 1: sort of petered out at the safe zone ending, and yeah,
- 3:08Speaker 1: there's no business like mo business. The whole Sweeny Todd
- 3:10Speaker 1: thing and sort of show within the show meta aspect.
- 3:13Speaker 1: I was like an interesting experiment that didn't quite pay off.
- 3:17Speaker 1: I get the feeling. I don't know the writers were
- 3:19Speaker 1: either pushing themselves. It's like, wouldn't it be interesting if
- 3:21Speaker 1: we did this.
- 3:22Speaker 3: Yeah, I didn't. I didn't quite get what they were
- 3:24Speaker 3: going for here. Actually, so I've never seen Sweeny Todd,
- 3:28Speaker 3: the film or the stage show. I've read about what
- 3:31Speaker 3: Sweeny Todd's about. Is it actually a parody of the
- 3:34Speaker 3: story or is.
- 3:35Speaker 1: It just inspired? I think very it's a barber, very loosely, Yeah,
- 3:39Speaker 1: the demon barber of Fleet Street. And yeah, essentially he
- 3:43Speaker 1: cuts the throats of people who are in his barber's chair,
- 3:45Speaker 1: gets sent down the chute and Johnny dan Tayer that
- 3:49Speaker 1: guy should have been cancer for that.
- 3:50Speaker 4: No.
- 3:50Speaker 1: Actually, Sweeny Tod's a pretty good movie, one of the
- 3:53Speaker 1: few good late Tim Burton movies. But yeah, the bodies
- 3:57Speaker 1: of these of Sweeny Todd's victims get turned into lovely
- 4:00Speaker 1: pies that everyone enjoys even they're eating people. They're eating
- 4:05Speaker 1: the people, so they might make cafeteria where they're eating
- 4:07Speaker 1: the school kids. Correct. Yeah, I think there's no business
- 4:11Speaker 1: like business. Probably would have been better if they'd just
- 4:14Speaker 1: done a straight up Sweeny Todd parody as opposed to
- 4:17Speaker 1: a show within a show, But then you wouldn't have
- 4:19Speaker 1: had that title. There's no business like my business. I
- 4:21Speaker 1: just people love wordplay about.
- 4:22Speaker 3: I just couldn't work out what they were going for here,
- 4:24Speaker 3: because at one minute they've got some pretty good special
- 4:27Speaker 3: effects of Homer falling through the pipes and.
- 4:30Speaker 1: Blood's coming out, yeah kind of thing.
- 4:32Speaker 3: The next minute they're throwing a really poorly designed Mo
- 4:34Speaker 3: doll to end it, which is I was like, wait
- 4:36Speaker 3: a minute.
- 4:37Speaker 1: What is what actually is this? Yeah, it's a stage show.
- 4:41Speaker 3: People are watching it, but but it's like it's meta
- 4:45Speaker 3: because the story they're telling it is actually like actually
- 4:47Speaker 3: does love Marge?
- 4:48Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 4:49Speaker 3: I was so confused because because margin Homer and Mo
- 4:52Speaker 3: are playing themselves in this play.
- 4:54Speaker 1: Oh, it was so bizarre. It was confusing. Yeah.
- 4:56Speaker 3: I think they just because they went playing the Sweeny
- 4:59Speaker 3: Todd Carriacs. They'll play much and Mow and Homer, Yeah
- 5:02Speaker 3: they should. I think they were putting a hat on
- 5:04Speaker 3: a hat on a hat.
- 5:05Speaker 1: Yeah, so they little bit too clever for me, and
- 5:08Speaker 1: for me not a clever person, nor am I and
- 5:10Speaker 1: they Yeah, they sort of went a bit too overboard
- 5:13Speaker 1: with this one. So unfortunately, having that is the third
- 5:16Speaker 1: one kind of like you didn't stick the landing guards unfortunately,
- 5:20Speaker 1: and even having like the gags of the audience and
- 5:23Speaker 1: that kind of stuff, and Kang and Kodos who weren't funny.
- 5:25Speaker 3: No, he said, it's about light speed or something that's
- 5:30Speaker 3: that's a measure of distance, not speed, or something that
- 5:33Speaker 3: measures it through through distance not time. And he's like,
- 5:36Speaker 3: you know what I meant, And that was it.
- 5:39Speaker 1: That's what really. Yeah, but hey, we got We've got
- 5:44Speaker 1: two other good segments out of there.
- 5:45Speaker 3: I think dialog for murder or press hash to return
- 5:48Speaker 3: to main menu. So you said that's your favorite. I
- 5:50Speaker 3: enjoyed them. What was the second one called? It was
- 5:52Speaker 3: don't have a cow mankind a zombie pocoast. They've done
- 5:55Speaker 3: zombie ones before. I just like the premise of it
- 5:57Speaker 3: being a tainted burger.
- 5:58Speaker 1: Well yeah, and also, well they've done zombie ones in
- 6:01Speaker 1: the past year, right, And this is more sort of
- 6:03Speaker 1: when what was the air dated this one again? This
- 6:06Speaker 1: one originally we always say it when we're talking about
- 6:10Speaker 1: the October eighteen, twenty oh nine, two thousand and nine. Okay, yeah,
- 6:13Speaker 1: because I'm wondering when the sort of we had that
- 6:15Speaker 1: resurgence of zombie movies, because it's got a Zombie Lands
- 6:18Speaker 1: two thousand and seven wasn't it. I think, so, yeah,
- 6:19Speaker 1: this is definitely got twenty eight days later because it
- 6:21Speaker 1: talks about twenty eight days. It's got it on the
- 6:23Speaker 1: screen and all that. But it's also it was the
- 6:24Speaker 1: Last of Us as well a bit. But also you
- 6:27Speaker 1: know the remake of Dawn of the Dead and at
- 6:28Speaker 1: the start when you know they first take the bite
- 6:31Speaker 1: of the burger squared and it's like, ah, we're all
- 6:33Speaker 1: getting zombified and it gets all sort of documentary style,
- 6:36Speaker 1: which is very much, you know, like Zack Snyder's Down
- 6:39Speaker 1: of the Dead and Dead.
- 6:40Speaker 3: The series launched in twenty ten, so wow, I thought
- 6:43Speaker 3: it was was like two thousand and six, and walking
- 6:45Speaker 3: Down it feels it just has been gone forever. And
- 6:48Speaker 3: I looked like it's like another spinoff, another spit of way,
- 6:50Speaker 3: Darryl's got his own show.
- 6:51Speaker 1: What is Happens? Like four or five spinoffs walking Dead,
- 6:54Speaker 1: none of which I've watched.
- 6:55Speaker 3: I gave up after Glenn got it that was it.
- 6:57Speaker 3: I was like, ah, because what is in it isn't
- 6:59Speaker 3: fun anymore?
- 7:00Speaker 1: Yeah, there's Walking Dead, Dead City, There's and that's the
- 7:03Speaker 1: one with Megan's one with Jeffy didn more. What was
- 7:06Speaker 1: the first one though, it was like not returning to
- 7:08Speaker 1: the Walking Dead, it was it was fear the walking Yeah.
- 7:11Speaker 1: Now they're just called walking Dead, walking Dead, Dead City,
- 7:14Speaker 1: walking Dead. Just Daryl Dixon one. They called The Book
- 7:18Speaker 1: of Carol. That might be a spin off of the
- 7:20Speaker 1: Darryl Dixon one. And there's at least one other one.
- 7:23Speaker 1: There must be an audience. Okay, so people love zombie. Well,
- 7:26Speaker 1: there's the thing.
- 7:26Speaker 3: Zombie is just one of those forever we call it
- 7:28Speaker 3: forever license in the pop culture field of toys, like
- 7:30Speaker 3: a forever license, like a Star Wars or whatever. Like zombies
- 7:33Speaker 3: is just the theme that will always be popular. I
- 7:35Speaker 3: think if if a horror movie came out, like it's
- 7:37Speaker 3: a new zombie movie, I'm like, I'll probably go say it.
- 7:39Speaker 3: I've seen it a million times, feel different ways, but
- 7:42Speaker 3: I'm still gonna I'm still intrigued by the idea of
- 7:44Speaker 3: zombie apocalypse.
- 7:45Speaker 1: It's very ebbs and flows. I mean, I think they'll
- 7:48Speaker 1: always be there, like there will always be sort of
- 7:50Speaker 1: low budget shitty ones being short of the dead as well.
- 7:52Speaker 1: Yeah that's true. Yeah, yeah, but something will come up
- 7:57Speaker 1: and it's like and there'll be maybe three or four
- 7:58Speaker 1: of them, and they'll be like good quality ones like
- 8:00Speaker 1: yeah around the time, like I say of the Dawn
- 8:03Speaker 1: of the Dead remake in twenty eight Days Later and
- 8:04Speaker 1: Shawan of the Dead and all that, like, yeah, zombies
- 8:06Speaker 1: are back. And then we'll sort of get a bit
- 8:10Speaker 1: of overkill and then there'll be maybe ten or so
- 8:12Speaker 1: years and there's like, yeah, zombies are back. This had
- 8:14Speaker 1: an iron legend vibe to it as well. It did
- 8:16Speaker 1: add the very end certainly. I mean, yeah, I think
- 8:19Speaker 1: it's the end of I can't remember the end of
- 8:23Speaker 1: the original version of the director's cut.
- 8:24Speaker 3: Because there's sort of an alternate ending of the director's
- 8:27Speaker 3: cut is where he walks with her body into the room, okay,
- 8:31Speaker 3: as opposed to sacrificing himself. In the theatrical release, will
- 8:35Speaker 3: Smith sacrificehim spoiler all that sacrifices himself right for the
- 8:38Speaker 3: good of.
- 8:38Speaker 1: The world and they end up at the safe zone
- 8:40Speaker 1: at the end.
- 8:41Speaker 3: Yeah, But in the in the director's cut, in the
- 8:44Speaker 3: ultimate ending, which I think is pretty cool, he walks
- 8:47Speaker 3: in with her body and turns out there it's the
- 8:48Speaker 3: body of the zombie and he was angry because he
- 8:52Speaker 3: had her body captive that the zombie was angry that
- 8:54Speaker 3: will Smith had her body.
- 8:55Speaker 1: He just wanted his wife back. Well, yeah, that's when
- 8:58Speaker 1: they learned to exist. Yeah, that's the thing. And then
- 9:00Speaker 1: in the in the novel that's based on that's a
- 9:04Speaker 1: really sort of a but one of a better term
- 9:07Speaker 1: Patients zero for a lot of zombie movies and things
- 9:09Speaker 1: like that, I think Will Smith's character realizes I'm the
- 9:13Speaker 1: last of my kind and this is really the next
- 9:16Speaker 1: stage of human evolution, you know, and that's I'm not
- 9:18Speaker 1: really a person anymore. I'm legend, you know that they
- 9:21Speaker 1: sort of talk about, Oh, remember the way things used
- 9:23Speaker 1: to be. Oh, yeah, there was this guy named Robert Neville.
- 9:26Speaker 1: You don't really talk about him one much because he
- 9:28Speaker 1: was the he was the last phase of humanity, and
- 9:33Speaker 1: now we're into something new. Yeah, plastic world. Plastic world.
- 9:36Speaker 1: That's it's been like plastic World.
- 9:38Speaker 3: What was the Children of Men parody here? Because it
- 9:41Speaker 3: mentions on Wikipedia that's also Children of Men reference here.
- 9:45Speaker 1: I get the feeling that was more in the like
- 9:47Speaker 1: the car chase or the thing with our Pooh driving.
- 9:50Speaker 3: Okay, could be so it's children are in apocalypse, and
- 9:52Speaker 3: I don't think it was an apocalypse.
- 9:53Speaker 1: Sort of a slow motion apocalypse, Is it really? Yeah,
- 9:56Speaker 1: because well, you know, people can't have children anymore, so
- 9:58Speaker 1: that's kind of the end of the human race.
- 10:00Speaker 3: Okay, I own it, but I've never watched it. Chouldren
- 10:02Speaker 3: have been dude, Yeah worth watching.
- 10:04Speaker 1: Get on it? Yeah, Oh fucking dope movie. One of
- 10:07Speaker 1: the best of the twenty first entry. Oh yeah, children
- 10:09Speaker 1: Man's rad Oh shit, Okay, yeah, man, get on it.
- 10:14Speaker 1: I will get on it. It's tough, but it's a
- 10:17Speaker 1: It's a good movie, all.
- 10:17Speaker 3: Right then, so well I enjoy it. Will make me sad,
- 10:21Speaker 3: angry and also satisfied. You'll get all the feelings as
- 10:24Speaker 3: long as I'm satisfied with That doesn't gives me a resolution,
- 10:27Speaker 3: That's all I wanta. Take me on a journey and
- 10:29Speaker 3: give me some sort of ending. You'll get some kind
- 10:31Speaker 3: of resolution, yes, okay, yeah, But overall I thought this
- 10:34Speaker 3: was yeah, a fine storm. I remember mostly the second
- 10:37Speaker 3: segment because I'm a big zombie fan. I when I
- 10:40Speaker 3: first watched this many years ago, didn't realize that this
- 10:43Speaker 3: was all Hitchcock references, Like, so the actual stories are
- 10:45Speaker 3: based on which one?
- 10:46Speaker 1: Well, yeah, that's the thing is. It's called dial m
- 10:49Speaker 1: for murder, which is a Hitchcock title and actual movie,
- 10:52Speaker 1: but then watching it the whole plot or protash tag
- 10:55Speaker 1: that's the Simpsons. Oh yeah, yeah, I've got dial em.
- 10:58Speaker 1: I'm not gonna write down the whole title. Ye, but
- 11:01Speaker 1: when they get into the hole, Oh, you don't like
- 11:04Speaker 1: this person and I don't like this person. But if
- 11:06Speaker 1: I murder your person and you kill my person, no
- 11:08Speaker 1: one's going to assume that's the plot of Strangers on
- 11:10Speaker 1: a Train. Yeah, fifty one, I think so. Yeah, fifty Yeah,
- 11:15Speaker 1: good ones, good one, he's got good Ones. Remade for
- 11:18Speaker 1: Netflix recently as Do Revenge Okay with Ethan Hawk's daughter
- 11:24Speaker 1: Maya Hawk and as one of the leads worth watching.
- 11:26Speaker 3: No, maybe if you're that's what shit's been about streaming films.
- 11:32Speaker 3: It feels like there's just not enough what's the term,
- 11:36Speaker 3: there's no there's no filter there. It's just like they're
- 11:37Speaker 3: throwing out all this content where you feel like this
- 11:40Speaker 3: was twenty years ago. Apparently a remake like that it
- 11:43Speaker 3: would be treated with the there'd be someone. They're saying, No,
- 11:45Speaker 3: this has to be done better, this needs to be improved. Yeah,
- 11:48Speaker 3: content streaming services just like, just give us something starring
- 11:50Speaker 3: this person will put it out there, we'll move on
- 11:52Speaker 3: to the next one.
- 11:53Speaker 1: It is unfortunately a lot of people entertainment adjacent will
- 11:57Speaker 1: be saying, you hear bad things about Oh, the studio
- 12:01Speaker 1: gave us notes about doing this and to make this
- 12:03Speaker 1: character more like when was that? Honestly, they might have
- 12:05Speaker 1: had a point, but a lot of it. You know,
- 12:07Speaker 1: you'll have people even Tarantino said, yeah, I got notes.
- 12:11Speaker 1: Some of them were ship some of them worked.
- 12:13Speaker 3: Yeah, you need some people are creative geniuses, right, but
- 12:17Speaker 3: they're greater coming of ideas. I need that one person
- 12:20Speaker 3: above them to go get rid of that one, tweak
- 12:22Speaker 3: this one slightly, and then we've got a really good product.
- 12:25Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, you will have very creative people, very yeah,
- 12:29Speaker 1: ingenious people will say no, sometimes I need the brakes
- 12:32Speaker 1: put on it. Sometimes I need something to pull back
- 12:34Speaker 1: on the reins a bit. Yeah, absolutely, but no, Yeah,
- 12:37Speaker 1: that's strangers on the train. But you've got a visual reference.
- 12:40Speaker 1: So psycho, Yeah, that's the that's the music that you do.
- 12:43Speaker 1: Do do do? What else is north by northwest by
- 12:46Speaker 1: northwest which oh that's sorry, that's confused. Is that the
- 12:52Speaker 1: psycho music? I do the psycho music? But no, that
- 12:56Speaker 1: does just sound weird. But yeah, you got bits from
- 12:58Speaker 1: Verdio in there, bits from Spellbound, little bits.
- 13:00Speaker 3: Of Yeah, when we're going through it, you tell you,
- 13:03Speaker 3: you yell out, that's this reference that.
- 13:05Speaker 1: Sure. I obviously had their film The Hats on as
- 13:07Speaker 1: they were making this though. Yeah.
- 13:08Speaker 3: And but it's one of those segments where as a kid,
- 13:10Speaker 3: I had no idea that it was referencing anything. And
- 13:12Speaker 3: I think the beauty of these segments is they work
- 13:16Speaker 3: not knowing that anyway.
- 13:17Speaker 1: Sure, it's just a fun.
- 13:18Speaker 3: Treus of horrors, like you know, it's it feels weird
- 13:20Speaker 3: like but it's so weird that obviously parroting something we
- 13:23Speaker 3: said it all the time, but as you get older
- 13:25Speaker 3: you to start to appreciate it. So is introducing you.
- 13:27Speaker 3: That's what the Trust off I do so well. They
- 13:29Speaker 3: introduce you to classic horror and classic stories. Absolutely, the
- 13:31Speaker 3: shitting is a big one. Who are introduced to the
- 13:33Speaker 3: Shining where this one here you fall in love with
- 13:35Speaker 3: from Hitchcock as a result.
- 13:36Speaker 1: Absolutely. Yeah. And the other good thing is, I mean
- 13:39Speaker 1: you always had rock solid plots and things like that,
- 13:41Speaker 1: so you're working from a really strong foundation. If you've
- 13:43Speaker 1: got the story of like, oh, you don't like that
- 13:46Speaker 1: teacher and I don't like that teacher. But you know,
- 13:47Speaker 1: neither result suspective we kill the other one, like cool
- 13:50Speaker 1: plot that works, Yeah, and then you know you put
- 13:53Speaker 1: your shovel a bunch of jokes on top of it.
- 13:55Speaker 1: I'm glad they didn't just go through the clarche shower
- 13:57Speaker 1: scene for Psychodo.
- 13:58Speaker 3: Oh yeah, they were doing it for a hitchcock. We
- 13:59Speaker 3: don't need to do the classic one, the obvious one.
- 14:01Speaker 3: We don't have to play the hits exactly, Yeah, because
- 14:03Speaker 3: they're doing ones here that you wouldn't normally see parody.
- 14:05Speaker 3: It's always it's always Psycho a mother in the chair,
- 14:07Speaker 3: that kind of thing, isn't it, Yeah, dressed up with
- 14:09Speaker 3: his mum.
- 14:09Speaker 1: Psycho. What a movie have you seen that? Maybe already
- 14:12Speaker 1: discussed this with you.
- 14:13Speaker 3: Someone put a tweet out many six months ago, twelve
- 14:15Speaker 3: months ago saying this is the problem of streaming when
- 14:18Speaker 3: the movies and it cuts to a like continue watching
- 14:21Speaker 3: on over the corner, and then you may also like
- 14:23Speaker 3: this kind of thing fills the screen and it's the
- 14:25Speaker 3: end of Psycho and he's staring at the camera. It's
- 14:27Speaker 3: like it's in the bottom corner, so he's staring at
- 14:31Speaker 3: the screen.
- 14:31Speaker 1: It's like, look, yeah, even it's the bottom Also like
- 14:34Speaker 1: this film and the last thing you see. Yeah, not
- 14:37Speaker 1: the very last thing you see, but yeah, and it's
- 14:39Speaker 1: only for like a split second or so, as they
- 14:41Speaker 1: slightly superimpose the skeleton face over over normal ass face, like.
- 14:46Speaker 3: Ah fuck yeah, but it's in the bottom corner of
- 14:48Speaker 3: the screen. You may also like this.
- 14:50Speaker 1: Yeah. You may also like monsterly against Doory or you know,
- 14:57Speaker 1: the Meninda something like that, and it's like, can we
- 14:59Speaker 1: just leave shit alone? Man Got Hell on Netflix? Actually
- 15:05Speaker 1: my favorite did you have any favorite moments from this episode?
- 15:08Speaker 1: As someone who half passes things quite often, I Miss
- 15:11Speaker 1: Hoover say, don't take this person, and Lisa I barely
- 15:14Speaker 1: spend any time. It's not like does a teacher life,
- 15:19Speaker 1: wasn't it?
- 15:20Speaker 3: I feel like I'd love to speak to a teacher
- 15:22Speaker 3: and say, what's your thoughts in Miss Hoover because I
- 15:25Speaker 3: feel like she'd be so relatable.
- 15:26Speaker 1: Like spirit animals.
- 15:28Speaker 3: Everything she says is probably how teachers feel, but they
- 15:31Speaker 3: actually say it to the kids. It's like, I care,
- 15:35Speaker 3: this is the you're grade too, No one cares.
- 15:40Speaker 1: Another line that I really enjoyed was from Don't Have
- 15:41Speaker 1: a cow man Kind. They're on the phone with doctor here.
- 15:44Speaker 1: But if you see my wife, tell her I love
- 15:46Speaker 1: her me and I love her or me meaning you.
- 15:50Speaker 3: I start giving a high five. That was really good.
- 15:54Speaker 3: I'll love the spin of a poo. They were that
- 15:56Speaker 3: nicely sacrificed himself.
- 15:58Speaker 1: This spakes the way for me to come back. Oh.
- 16:02Speaker 1: The other thing, sorry, from that one at the very
- 16:04Speaker 1: end end, when it's like what kind of savages would
- 16:07Speaker 1: you eat the flesh and drink the blood of someone?
- 16:09Speaker 1: Collar tug from Reverend Love. That is like if this
- 16:12Speaker 1: was a movie, that that would be in the trailer.
- 16:16Speaker 1: So yeah, yeah, those are comeing my framese. What did
- 16:18Speaker 1: you enjoy? Oh you've already covered three of mine, but
- 16:21Speaker 1: I like to pu as well. By the way, I
- 16:23Speaker 1: did have one more favorite moment. Yeah. I don't know
- 16:26Speaker 1: if this is aged badly or not. I actually think
- 16:28Speaker 1: it was. I thought it was so clever that I
- 16:31Speaker 1: probably has an age badly. But Homer's song about being gay.
- 16:34Speaker 3: Let's talk about that, because I'm watching this going this
- 16:37Speaker 3: feels really just out there. He's talking about just genuinely
- 16:41Speaker 3: just being homosexual. Yeah, I think he says to not
- 16:44Speaker 3: be queer. It makes me want to puke or something
- 16:47Speaker 3: like that.
- 16:47Speaker 1: It watches going.
- 16:48Speaker 3: Is this them trying to say we promise when not
- 16:52Speaker 3: all those all those homophobic gags, We're.
- 16:54Speaker 1: Sorry, We're really pro gay whoever, road this was very
- 16:59Speaker 1: program Yes, it was a pretty neat song. It was
- 17:02Speaker 1: a good song. Yeah.
- 17:03Speaker 3: Actually I'm listening to this going. There was like another
- 17:06Speaker 3: Simpsons c D of all the songs on one this
- 17:08Speaker 3: will be I'd probably would really enjoy it. That's one
- 17:10Speaker 3: thing the Simpsons always do.
- 17:11Speaker 1: Well. That was the musicals. Yeah, and actually the bit
- 17:14Speaker 1: before that as well. When I think it's Mos reading
- 17:19Speaker 1: the letter, well it sounds pretty gay. Well read that
- 17:21Speaker 1: it gets gay the song.
- 17:23Speaker 3: I actually it also did in mind when he starts
- 17:25Speaker 3: that reading the letter, how he says is going to
- 17:26Speaker 3: be his idioms and DiMAGE.
- 17:31Speaker 1: The kids and the other word. Next question, you there
- 17:35Speaker 1: eating the beast?
- 17:37Speaker 3: All right, it is time now for some trivia. My
- 17:39Speaker 3: first question for you is I can't tell you what
- 17:41Speaker 3: segment this was in, but my question is what film
- 17:44Speaker 3: was playing at the cinema?
- 17:46Speaker 1: Oh, it was Madeia Goes to Hell. Yeah, was that
- 17:49Speaker 1: in the second one? I think it was. Yeah, they're
- 17:52Speaker 1: getting out of Springfield. Yeah. My first question to you
- 17:56Speaker 1: is this is from the opening. This is from the
- 17:58Speaker 1: pre pre oh yeah yeah yeah. The Halloween Store was formerly.
- 18:03Speaker 3: What oh it was ah something headquarters, wasn't it?
- 18:08Speaker 1: It's Halloween HQ. Now this is a seat Columbus Day,
- 18:12Speaker 1: Columbus Day. Yes, all right.
- 18:13Speaker 3: My next question for you is what were their costumes
- 18:16Speaker 3: once they came out?
- 18:19Speaker 1: No, I didn't write this down, but I think actually
- 18:21Speaker 1: I didn't mind the introy for this. By the way,
- 18:22Speaker 1: this is all right, that's pretty good, Okay, iron Man, Yeah,
- 18:27Speaker 1: Harry Potter. Recular wolf Man was Harry Potter. Yeah, someone
- 18:30Speaker 1: was SpongeBob, Yeah, Franking Stein. And it actually ties into
- 18:34Speaker 1: the last segment. No, no, the Mummy was someone is
- 18:38Speaker 1: in the film from the parody of the Last One
- 18:41Speaker 1: parading one of his iconic other characters from that era,
- 18:44Speaker 1: Jack Sparrow, Jack Sparrow. Yes, how then we go fun
- 18:47Speaker 1: fat Nicholas never seen the parts of the Caribbean film
- 18:50Speaker 1: for one of them? Really how she just goes no,
- 18:53Speaker 1: it doesn't never interested me. I was like, the first
- 18:56Speaker 1: one's pretty good. Well, the first one's good.
- 18:57Speaker 3: I liked the second one a lot. Okay, yeah, yeah,
- 19:00Speaker 3: because the movie watches the family.
- 19:01Speaker 1: I was like, I can't remember. It's too scary for
- 19:03Speaker 1: kids on that I think.
- 19:04Speaker 3: Yea, his name isn't Gregory really scary, isn't it. Who's
- 19:08Speaker 3: the bad guy in the first one Jeffrey R.
- 19:10Speaker 1: Jeffy Rush, not Gregor Jeffrey Rush. Yeah, he's a been scared.
- 19:14Speaker 1: You might want to Yeah, you might want to give
- 19:15Speaker 1: it a couple of years, okay, because I mean especially Holly,
- 19:18Speaker 1: because especially Elliot. Elliot would be Elliott might be fine
- 19:21Speaker 1: with it. Okay. The second Yeah, the second gets a
- 19:24Speaker 1: bit little bit grim. That's the one. Yeah, what's his name? Yeah?
- 19:29Speaker 1: But yeah, the ones I wish I liked a little
- 19:33Speaker 1: bit more. But they're not bad.
- 19:35Speaker 3: I think the fact that they overstayed there welcome makes
- 19:37Speaker 3: you look back poorly on the originals that we were.
- 19:38Speaker 1: Could well be Yeah, I mean you can you can
- 19:40Speaker 1: stop at the three. You don't need the other ones.
- 19:42Speaker 3: I don't ways say the Terminator franchise is almost suffered
- 19:44Speaker 3: as a result of that. Definitely, like they've overstaid it's
- 19:46Speaker 3: work Predators as well. I'm just like the first one
- 19:49Speaker 3: is so good, though, and there's the second. Yeah, first
- 19:52Speaker 3: time andute second to it was so good. The first
- 19:54Speaker 3: Predator is so good, and it's like if the rest
- 19:56Speaker 3: of them no good, I'm.
- 19:56Speaker 1: Like, it doesn't matter. The first ones were great. I've
- 19:59Speaker 1: got a lot of time for most of the Predators.
- 20:02Speaker 1: I like, I love Predator one. Predator is pretty good.
- 20:05Speaker 1: The way I always describe it used to always be
- 20:07Speaker 1: on TV. I always love it. It's gonna be so
- 20:10Speaker 1: good because Predator is a Predator is really good, Like
- 20:15Speaker 1: it's really well, it's like legitimately good. So I was like,
- 20:18Speaker 1: I've got to actually pay attention to show this proper respect.
- 20:20Speaker 1: But now he's in the city. Predator is a relationship.
- 20:23Speaker 1: Predator is a one night stand. Yeah, because like you're
- 20:26Speaker 1: kind of cheap and nasty, but you're pretty good at
- 20:28Speaker 1: what you doing. Is that an alien skull? Well, yeah,
- 20:31Speaker 1: there's that. Predators is not bad. I don't mind the
- 20:36Speaker 1: first alien versus Predator. The second one is garbage.
- 20:39Speaker 3: I would be so excited for alien Predators that seeing
- 20:41Speaker 3: the alien skull Predator two when I was about know ten,
- 20:45Speaker 3: it was one of my first.
- 20:45Speaker 1: Like the lego point the game. I was like, it's
- 20:51Speaker 1: the Skull. The Predator is not very good.
- 20:55Speaker 5: Ah.
- 20:55Speaker 1: Yeah, that was disappointing. That was very disappointing. I'm looking
- 20:58Speaker 1: forward to the bad Lands, which I'm seeing, I think
- 20:59Speaker 1: not next week or the week after that, a genuine
- 21:01Speaker 1: theatrical film. Yeah, I thought it was just like a
- 21:03Speaker 1: TV special from the director of pre which was also
- 21:07Speaker 1: not a bad Predator movie. And then pas all right, yeah, yeah.
- 21:10Speaker 1: It's this guy named Dan Tracktenberg who he made ten
- 21:14Speaker 1: Cloverfield Lane and now he's in the predator business because
- 21:16Speaker 1: he made Prey. He made Predator, Killer of Killers, which
- 21:18Speaker 1: is on Netflix.
- 21:19Speaker 3: That's when you say bad Lands. I thought you were
- 21:21Speaker 3: referencing the animated thing. No Ah, that's different.
- 21:24Speaker 1: Sorry, it's on Disney Plus not Netflix. Yeah yeahah, that
- 21:27Speaker 1: guy who won Stalking Me on Twitter. Yeah, excuse me,
- 21:32Speaker 1: it's a niche.
- 21:33Speaker 3: He's a Stalker fan from the movie Guide.
- 21:37Speaker 1: Yeah. But Killer Killers that's animated and that's on Disney
- 21:40Speaker 1: Plus at the moment. And Predator bad Lands, which is
- 21:42Speaker 1: live action starting in cinemas soon. Predator bad Lands, I
- 21:45Speaker 1: want to read it. Just before we get into our
- 21:48Speaker 1: full in depth review of Treo, I could tell you
- 21:51Speaker 1: about it.
- 21:52Speaker 3: Oh, here we go, I'm going to read it here. Okay,
- 21:55Speaker 3: we'll go a bit of out. It says, before you listening,
- 21:58Speaker 3: cast out from its clan in alien hunter and an
- 22:01Speaker 3: unlikely ally bark on a treacherous journey in search of
- 22:05Speaker 3: the ultimate adversary.
- 22:07Speaker 1: Yeah, he's bad. He's basically this young, young predator dude
- 22:10Speaker 1: who's kind of like, all right, you don't think I'm
- 22:12Speaker 1: good enough to be a predator? Well, I'm going to
- 22:13Speaker 1: go to the meanest planet in the universe and find
- 22:16Speaker 1: the meanest adversary ever and take it down, and then
- 22:19Speaker 1: you're going to show me my respect. So he's just
- 22:21Speaker 1: walking up too a masco on, okay. And he's not
- 22:24Speaker 1: going to talk, though, is he? I think if he talks,
- 22:26Speaker 1: he talks in predire language and he get subtitled. Yeah.
- 22:28Speaker 1: I was going to say, hopefully he's not just like,
- 22:31Speaker 1: I am here to something. How you doing? I am
- 22:35Speaker 1: here to be a predator? Oh? Really great? So what
- 22:39Speaker 1: do we get to talking about those Terminator sequels? Sequels
- 22:43Speaker 1: and how I think part of the Caribbean oversay it's
- 22:45Speaker 1: WelCom Johnny Depp correct, Yeah, yes, there we are. We
- 22:48Speaker 1: got there in the end, we straight far away from
- 22:51Speaker 1: God's Light, but we got back in the end.

- 24:11Speaker 1: here be like shit. Look, we gave Katie Ga props
- 24:15Speaker 1: and deservedly so, but each and every one of these
- 24:17Speaker 1: people are dead set legends. Thank you so much for
- 24:20Speaker 1: keeping the Wolf from the.
- 24:22Speaker 3: Door Stone kinds get their name right out on every
- 24:24Speaker 3: episode of the podcast. So let's get into her. Your
- 24:27Speaker 3: Treos of Horror twenty, which originally ed as I mentioned
- 24:29Speaker 3: earlier on October eighteenth, two thousand and nine.
- 24:32Speaker 1: Did we've done our trivia right? Yeah? We did?
- 24:34Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 24:35Speaker 1: I had one or two more questions. I actually I
- 24:37Speaker 1: had one more question. Okay for it. He's so sad
- 24:41Speaker 1: I went to all this trouble. I mean we we
- 24:44Speaker 1: folks were recorded going down to South Park earlier today
- 24:47Speaker 1: and we land credit Christmas we Lann Credit Christmas, which
- 24:50Speaker 1: it turns out we liked more than we thought. Well,
- 24:52Speaker 1: I liked more than I thought. I found it really
- 24:55Speaker 1: difficult to do trivia questions for it, and I felt
- 24:57Speaker 1: so guilty, so I thought I'd better do a few
- 24:59Speaker 1: more for this episode. But here's one in dial and
- 25:02Speaker 1: for murder and the other stuff in the title. What
- 25:05Speaker 1: does t P stand for?
- 25:06Speaker 3: Oh yes, it's not toilet paper, man, I should know
- 25:11Speaker 3: this torture and something torture and pulver.
- 25:13Speaker 1: I yes, that's all. That's all the trivia. I just
- 25:17Speaker 1: it was just I wasn't going to hit you with
- 25:19Speaker 1: a bunch of another one. I don't have anymore. Oh okay,
- 25:23Speaker 1: then what if I asked you another one just up
- 25:25Speaker 1: the ante I could probably answer it.
- 25:29Speaker 3: I was getting the let's getting the review production code
- 25:31Speaker 3: and l a B F one four written by Daniel Chun,
- 25:33Speaker 3: directed by Mark might b Anderson and our man Matthew Schofield.
- 25:36Speaker 3: Maddie Yes, the Aussie who went over to Marco who
- 25:39Speaker 3: work on the Simpsons, and now he's one of the
- 25:41Speaker 3: producers even the Dream. Indeed, he also has a comic
- 25:46Speaker 3: app called Steamroller.
- 25:47Speaker 1: Man. I thought you were about to say he's got
- 25:48Speaker 1: a podcast. Another guy I saw Nancy Carter I started
- 25:51Speaker 1: her own podcasts. I think I remember you saying something
- 25:53Speaker 1: about that. Yeah, okay, that's great. We're happy to be
- 25:56Speaker 1: on it, Nancy. Oh, we're happy to have you as
- 25:57Speaker 1: a guest onto Tour podcast. Yes, yes, across promough. So
- 26:01Speaker 1: the episode kicks off with like a cold open kind
- 26:04Speaker 1: of deal with the Universal Monsters all waking up in
- 26:06Speaker 1: the boys Who's house castle some kind it's spooky Castle,
- 26:10Speaker 1: Spooky Castle, Yes.
- 26:12Speaker 3: Waking up to go trick or treaty on Halloween. The
- 26:14Speaker 3: bullies taught them though Turner classic movies called and what
- 26:17Speaker 3: their costume is back. I feel like Lendon Moulton will
- 26:19Speaker 3: take this personally because he loves the University. He watched this,
- 26:26Speaker 3: and they head to the costume store because everyone's making
- 26:29Speaker 3: fun of their old costumes because they're and this is
- 26:31Speaker 3: at a time two thousand and nine where dare I say,
- 26:33Speaker 3: even still Universal Monsters just feels.
- 26:35Speaker 1: Old hat a bit.
- 26:36Speaker 3: Yeah, And they've just done the theme park in in
- 26:39Speaker 3: the States, like an extension of Universal Studios called what
- 26:42Speaker 3: it's called, but it's it's Universal Monster's Area basically apparently
- 26:46Speaker 3: some really good rides there, but they just never seem
- 26:48Speaker 3: to be able to sort of bring those characters back
- 26:51Speaker 3: to life of the big screen, have they not?
- 26:53Speaker 1: I mean cool way. There was the bid to do
- 26:56Speaker 1: the whole Dark Universe thing starting with the Tom Cruise
- 26:58Speaker 1: movie The Mummy. That's what it's called something universe at
- 27:01Speaker 1: that's the theme park. Yeah, but that was such a
- 27:04Speaker 1: dud that it was because they had like a promo
- 27:06Speaker 1: poster and yeah, I think it was going to be
- 27:10Speaker 1: Russell Crowe was in it as Jekyll and Hyde. I
- 27:12Speaker 1: think Johnny Depp was going to be the Invisible Man.
- 27:15Speaker 1: Have you a bad damn? I think was it? There's
- 27:17Speaker 1: maybe as Doctor Frankenstein or something, But it was like
- 27:21Speaker 1: canceled you to complete lack of interest. You know, we
- 27:24Speaker 1: don't need more of universes.
- 27:27Speaker 3: Yeah, probably not. I think I'm just dombe with it
- 27:29Speaker 3: all man. I think I just want give me an
- 27:31Speaker 3: Invisible Man movie. I just watch and enjoy.
- 27:34Speaker 1: Kevin Bacon in there floor you can the Hollow Man.
- 27:37Speaker 1: What he called that was Hollowman.
- 27:38Speaker 3: Yeah, it's a spin on the Invisible Man though, was
- 27:40Speaker 3: well he was invisible, wasn't Is that what he walked
- 27:43Speaker 3: in his desk flapping around, but it's like invisible something
- 27:45Speaker 3: like that. Yeah, they're going really kept making.
- 27:50Speaker 1: Keip got his weighing out for he got his bacon
- 27:51Speaker 1: out for a few from one or two things, wild things.
- 27:54Speaker 1: I think you get us. Yeah, he's looking at other stuff.
- 28:01Speaker 1: There's an added TV ad for Phanta out of the moment,
- 28:05Speaker 1: whether because they've got these new Phantom variants that have
- 28:08Speaker 1: got like limited limited modern monsters on the on the
- 28:12Speaker 1: cans what it's like, and it's like, you know Meghan
- 28:15Speaker 1: the Killer Doll and yeah, no, no, you know you
- 28:20Speaker 1: know Meghan the movie. It's like the AI doll or
- 28:23Speaker 1: whatever doesn't dance and stuff. Chuck, He's in there. He's modern,
- 28:28Speaker 1: is he? I guess compared to the university. Well there's
- 28:30Speaker 1: the new TV series Jackie and all that. But you
- 28:32Speaker 1: know one of the like Freddie Fazbear from Five Nights
- 28:34Speaker 1: at Freddy's or something big that's huge. Well, yeah, they've
- 28:38Speaker 1: already well the movie was very big. Yeah, and sequels
- 28:42Speaker 1: coming out later this year. But I was looking none
- 28:45Speaker 1: of these months is really sticking with me, not in
- 28:48Speaker 1: the way that you know, the Universal Monsters were all
- 28:50Speaker 1: the eighties legends like Michael Myers and Jason Vorhees and
- 28:54Speaker 1: Freddy Krueger and all that one was the grabber from
- 28:58Speaker 1: the Black Phone movies. Do you know, no black Phone,
- 29:02Speaker 1: it's called the black Phone. No, it's a series of them.
- 29:06Speaker 1: There's there have been two the black Phone. Yeah, what
- 29:10Speaker 1: is that about?
- 29:11Speaker 4: Um?
- 29:12Speaker 1: I think there's a child kidnapper slash murderer. This is
- 29:15Speaker 1: a person who murders an Ethan Hawk. Yeah, Ethan Hawk
- 29:18Speaker 1: is the grabber.
- 29:20Speaker 3: I'm sure it's a shy c a thirteen year old
- 29:22Speaker 3: boy who's being held in a soundproof basement by a
- 29:24Speaker 3: sadistic mass killer. When a disconnected phone on the war
- 29:27Speaker 3: starts to ring. He soon discovers that he can hear
- 29:29Speaker 3: the voices of the murderer's previous victims, and they are
- 29:32Speaker 3: dead set on making sure that what happened to them
- 29:34Speaker 3: doesn't happen too finny.
- 29:35Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm pretty sure. I'm pretty sure it was rid
- 29:38Speaker 1: It's okay, okay, Yeah, I'm pretty sure. It's based on
- 29:41Speaker 1: a story by Joe Hill. It was the son of
- 29:43Speaker 1: Stephen King. Yeah, there you go.
- 29:46Speaker 3: The more you know Blackphone and Black Phone two? Yeah,
- 29:49Speaker 3: right then they came out this year blackphone too.
- 29:52Speaker 1: Did.
- 29:52Speaker 3: Yeah, that's a good post. Have you seen the post
- 29:54Speaker 3: of a blackphone too. That's the kind of post that
- 29:56Speaker 3: like a video cover in the videos in the nineties.
- 29:58Speaker 3: Oh yeah, look you look at that and you go,
- 30:00Speaker 3: I want to see what this is about. I was
- 30:02Speaker 3: telling to Nicola the other day, we'll flicker through Netflix,
- 30:04Speaker 3: and I was like, when that guy passed away, they
- 30:06Speaker 3: want did all the posters?
- 30:06Speaker 1: What's his name, Drew Streusan.
- 30:08Speaker 3: I was like, posters are a lost art now, Oh god,
- 30:11Speaker 3: they just through you. Now it's just replaceable. Yeah, in
- 30:17Speaker 3: the streaming ser.
- 30:17Speaker 1: Yeah, the replacement that is like Mondo or or You've
- 30:22Speaker 1: got a whole bunch of tum and going. Here's here's
- 30:26Speaker 1: my interpretation of what a poster call this modern movie
- 30:30Speaker 1: would look like. That that guy was basically the John
- 30:31Speaker 1: Williams of movie. Yes.
- 30:34Speaker 3: I was like, he did all the ets, the various
- 30:37Speaker 3: Stay to the Future, all that. Didn't you just spar
- 30:40Speaker 3: you did Indiana Jones, Harry Potters. I believe, like, holy moly,
- 30:45Speaker 3: we had.
- 30:46Speaker 1: A double a double whammy loss because we lost that guy,
- 30:49Speaker 1: Drew Strewsan And then a couple of weeks beforehand, there
- 30:53Speaker 1: was an Italian guy. I can't remember his name for
- 30:55Speaker 1: laughing me, but he did a lot of really iconic
- 30:57Speaker 1: posts as well from the sixties through the eighties. He
- 30:59Speaker 1: did like the Cone and the Barbarian Pes. You mentioned him, Yeah, yeah,
- 31:02Speaker 1: I want to say Ricardo Castro or something like that,
- 31:06Speaker 1: but I'm I'll be completely wrong. My sincere apologies to
- 31:11Speaker 1: that man and his legacy, because he did some dope artwork.
- 31:14Speaker 1: Venito Casaro I was very close, is that the one, Yeah,
- 31:18Speaker 1: Renato Casaro, good name, good name, good good artist.
- 31:22Speaker 3: Unius the monsters, Yes, So they realized that they're outdated
- 31:25Speaker 3: and not cool, so they go to get some more
- 31:27Speaker 3: modern outfits.
- 31:28Speaker 1: So you've returned us to Treehouse of Horror twenty already
- 31:31Speaker 1: already in progress.
- 31:32Speaker 3: Already in progress. They arrive at a party. It's almost
- 31:35Speaker 3: like a swingers party at the Simpsons.
- 31:36Speaker 1: It's looking a bit that way. Well, yeah, I mean
- 31:37Speaker 1: Marge's a bit clearly bit lick it up. Yeah she is.
- 31:40Speaker 3: She's down for it, yeah, as she always is. But
- 31:42Speaker 3: he says they're not my friends. But they brought a
- 31:44Speaker 3: bottle of boozy lets them in. Yes, and missus k
- 31:49Speaker 3: Salma Nelson's mum. I think Luan van Houten are all
- 31:51Speaker 3: flirting with the various monsters getting it on, and then
- 31:54Speaker 3: the wives of the monsters arrive and catch them. And
- 31:56Speaker 3: as Homer says, going, what does he say, what happens
- 31:59Speaker 3: in costume stage when you're a costume it's not cheating
- 32:02Speaker 3: or something that's right? Yes, And they don't take that
- 32:04Speaker 3: very well, do they.
- 32:05Speaker 1: No? No, he gets his head ripped off and it
- 32:07Speaker 1: ends up in the punch cold.
- 32:08Speaker 3: I will say Hank is doing his he's the voice
- 32:11Speaker 3: of the Mummy here, hankers Ariah, God love him, but
- 32:15Speaker 3: he has like one accent for all his movie roles,
- 32:18Speaker 3: and he's doing it like it's his voice for the
- 32:20Speaker 3: guy from Mystery Men and the voice of the each
- 32:23Speaker 3: Egyptian guy in Night the Museum. He just talks like
- 32:26Speaker 3: this a bit of an can be accent, like you're
- 32:29Speaker 3: the one I'm talking about, and I watching it, I'm like,
- 32:31Speaker 3: this is just the same voice.
- 32:34Speaker 1: Okay, Well he's not the man of a thousand voice.
- 32:36Speaker 1: He's a man of characters, nine hundred and ninety two voices.
- 32:42Speaker 3: I don't know, incredibly talented manded. Simpsons wouldn't exist without him.
- 32:44Speaker 3: But we watched the Night at the Museum films wy
- 32:47Speaker 3: I've told you.
- 32:48Speaker 1: And kids loved them. So yeah, that's that's speed for
- 32:50Speaker 1: the kids. I mean, not speed for the kids. That's
- 32:53Speaker 1: the kid's speed. I reckon. Yeah, something like that would
- 32:56Speaker 1: be a good family viewing, as opposed to say, Partisal
- 32:58Speaker 1: the Caribbean. Wait, a couple years before parts of the.
- 33:01Speaker 3: End of India Jones wouldn't go down too well. It
- 33:05Speaker 3: doesn't go down too well for me. Now after the
- 33:07Speaker 3: first watch it, I was like, whatever, But yes, they
- 33:13Speaker 3: get kicked the That is the end because they kill
- 33:14Speaker 3: home for saying that, and that's the beginning of Far twenty.
- 33:17Speaker 3: We get dial m for murder or press hashtag for what.
- 33:23Speaker 3: So Miss Hoover has chosen Hubert Wog no reference to
- 33:26Speaker 3: this afterwards. It's just I think it's like a spelling
- 33:28Speaker 3: bee or some spelling championship, was a reading or some
- 33:31Speaker 3: sort of ye thing to represent the class, represent the school.
- 33:33Speaker 3: At least I think she's going to be selected, But no,
- 33:35Speaker 3: she chooses Hubert Wong, who I never heard of before.
- 33:38Speaker 3: And Lisa is really really pissed off by this. She says,
- 33:40Speaker 3: don't worry, I didn't really put much I.
- 33:43Speaker 1: Barely spent any time on this decision.
- 33:45Speaker 5: Congratulations, Hubert, Why should I congratulate your tutor Amelia at
- 33:50Speaker 5: the homework factory? Your victory is tainted aster risk.
- 33:54Speaker 1: Aster esk Lisa, don't take it personally. I barely spent
- 33:57Speaker 1: any time on this decision. Asterisk Lisa. She's a bit
- 34:03Speaker 1: of a bitch. Yeah, if you get on her corner.
- 34:07Speaker 1: She's very jealous, doesn't she. Yeah, she's not the center
- 34:10Speaker 1: of attention. So she arrives in detention skinners. They're surprised
- 34:13Speaker 1: that she's there because even though his horoscope said that
- 34:15Speaker 1: he'd sees something interesting, but he thought it was just
- 34:16Speaker 1: gonna be his horoscope. He's reading Confirmed Bachelor magazine. Yeah,
- 34:20Speaker 1: you know what, you know what confirmed bachelor means? You
- 34:22Speaker 1: know what? That was always code for no, it's code
- 34:24Speaker 1: for being gay. Confirmed bachelor. Like if you were talking
- 34:27Speaker 1: about say in the forties or fifties, like such such
- 34:32Speaker 1: and such actor, you know there's a confirmed bachelor, it's like,
- 34:35Speaker 1: oh that's cover. Yeah. People doesn't like like, oh yeah,
- 34:38Speaker 1: it's going to like if you know, you know kind
- 34:39Speaker 1: of confirmed bachelor. Yeah, does it mean bachelor for life essentially? Yeah? Yeah, Okay,
- 34:45Speaker 1: it was. It is so bad. So ever you're ever
- 34:47Speaker 1: gonna settle down with the right lady? Oh, I think
- 34:49Speaker 1: I'm a confirmed bachelor. Say no more. We'll be seeing
- 34:58Speaker 1: a song about you. In the third seg can we
- 35:00Speaker 1: one TV?
- 35:02Speaker 3: But Bart says he has an idea, and it's the
- 35:05Speaker 3: plot of train Yeah, where he says, I will murder
- 35:09Speaker 3: your teacher for you, and you murder my teacher for me,
- 35:11Speaker 3: missus kay, and they'll never there'll be nonetherwise. Yes, they
- 35:14Speaker 3: keep saying criss cross, yes, cross cross, criss cross.
- 35:17Speaker 1: Yes.
- 35:17Speaker 3: There's no obvious motive here. Then Lisa follows missus k home.
- 35:21Speaker 3: Bart's establishing his alibi at the tennis by mooning the audience.
- 35:25Speaker 3: I didn't mind them looking sideways.
- 35:26Speaker 1: That's that's a famous shop from Strangers on the Trainers case.
- 35:30Speaker 3: Thank you're gonna kick ruinding of all this, I had
- 35:31Speaker 3: no idea. So the more you know, the better these get.
- 35:34Speaker 3: You can enjoy these fow the face value, but the
- 35:36Speaker 3: more you know, it's obviously much better. Then she knocks
- 35:39Speaker 3: on the door, hides under the chairs under the stairs,
- 35:41Speaker 3: I should say, and she thinks that's all.
- 35:43Speaker 1: She's like, that's it.
- 35:43Speaker 3: I've done it ditch thing. Don't ditch we call it?
- 35:46Speaker 3: No we what do you call is it? Nick knocking?
- 35:49Speaker 3: Nick knocking on the doors?
- 35:51Speaker 1: I've never done it. I'm just a good boy. What's
- 35:53Speaker 1: what's one of your rock roofs as well? Roof rocket?
- 35:56Speaker 1: That's roof rocking rocket.
- 35:59Speaker 3: Nick knocking, we said all the time, all the time.
- 36:03Speaker 3: Another thing now, and I think if some ship had
- 36:06Speaker 3: just kept knocking on my door, I'd be so angry.
- 36:08Speaker 1: You know, you had a kid karate chop your or
- 36:11Speaker 1: karate kick your door. That's different.
- 36:13Speaker 3: Just the thing is, if it is nick knocking right
- 36:16Speaker 3: knock on the door and running, they're not wrecking anything.
- 36:20Speaker 1: In the backside as children are allowed to do. Yeah.
- 36:22Speaker 1: And I'd always let him go like twice, but they
- 36:24Speaker 1: made me get up a third time. Like guys, just
- 36:27Speaker 1: that's when you become old men dander. Yeah, i'd be
- 36:29Speaker 1: old man Danna the first time. Now, I reckon. Just
- 36:31Speaker 1: you made me push pause for this. You made me
- 36:33Speaker 1: get out of my chat.
- 36:34Speaker 3: This is where Bart says, I'll show you the look
- 36:36Speaker 3: on missus Hoover's face, and he actually holds up her
- 36:38Speaker 3: actual head. He has killed her. I'm glad we didn't
- 36:40Speaker 3: have to see him kill her, just him having the
- 36:42Speaker 3: heads enough. Oh yeah, that's suit of belevidence.
- 36:45Speaker 1: How do you think he killed her? Oh gosh, Well,
- 36:47Speaker 1: it seems like there was a lot of head stabbings
- 36:49Speaker 1: in this episode. Beheadings mean well, no, because it seems
- 36:53Speaker 1: like a lot of people ended up with knives in
- 36:54Speaker 1: their heads. Bart did at the end, and I got
- 36:57Speaker 1: the feeling, did he oh the end of this one?
- 36:59Speaker 1: He did it? Yeah, yeah, but it felt like more
- 37:02Speaker 1: than one person got stabbed in the head. You can't
- 37:04Speaker 1: call on the others. Or maybe it was just having
- 37:06Speaker 1: knives in the head. Oh gosh, how do you think
- 37:08Speaker 1: it would have killed her? He seems kind of hands on.
- 37:12Speaker 1: I think the beheading happened post murder. Yeah. Maybe. Yeah.
- 37:16Speaker 3: So he says that, you know she can't believe it.
- 37:18Speaker 3: He says, well, she said you didn't say kill you.
- 37:20Speaker 3: I said prank. Prank his code for killing.
- 37:22Speaker 1: That's what we do. Like Mum and dad, when they
- 37:24Speaker 1: say snuggle, they mean were gonna lock the door and hug.
- 37:26Speaker 5: Ding dong ditch means you kill her, then you throw
- 37:29Speaker 5: that ding dong into a ditch. Geez, pick up a book.
- 37:33Speaker 1: You're a monster.
- 37:34Speaker 5: A Deal's a deal little sister. Tomorrow after school, go
- 37:37Speaker 5: to her house and tepe here. That's it, just tpe her. Yeah,
- 37:40Speaker 5: torture and plolverarizer, then ding dong ditch the boddy and
- 37:43Speaker 5: we're even I think I'm going to be sick.
- 37:46Speaker 1: Lisa then sees the Missus case in the room and
- 37:48Speaker 1: you're in the arts room his art room is it room?
- 37:51Speaker 1: The art room would usually have those kind of things.
- 37:53Speaker 3: Big blade things that are cutting the paper, and she
- 37:55Speaker 3: sort of was leaning under it. I think she dropped something.
- 37:57Speaker 3: She has to pick it up, and she tries a
- 37:58Speaker 3: light something was line. She says, come hold this bloy
- 38:01Speaker 3: from me so and it sliced through my neck and
- 38:02Speaker 3: butts at the windows, saying do it dude.
- 38:05Speaker 1: He says, slice like a bagel. But no, she doesn't.
- 38:07Speaker 1: She can't do it. She said, thank god I didn't
- 38:09Speaker 1: didn't sleep with my neck like a bagel. I don't
- 38:11Speaker 1: want to want that to happen, of course. Yeah.
- 38:13Speaker 3: And now she goes to the toilet Lisa, and Barty's
- 38:16Speaker 3: in there. He's been I didn't mind this. Were winning
- 38:18Speaker 3: around in here and also wondering how girls peek because
- 38:21Speaker 3: when you're like your ten.
- 38:22Speaker 1: You're like, how does that works? Where's you or not?
- 38:26Speaker 1: We all sit down to pee what like?
- 38:28Speaker 3: Girls, Yes, listen office look, rather than kill missus K,
- 38:32Speaker 3: but I just do all your homework for him. And
- 38:34Speaker 3: Bart say's note that's not I'm not going to accept
- 38:35Speaker 3: that at all.
- 38:36Speaker 1: I like to be orty Lisa about it as well,
- 38:37Speaker 1: saying I won't I won't give you the answers, but
- 38:39Speaker 1: I'll give you the tools to get there.
- 38:41Speaker 3: Yes, but he says, you don't kill missus K. Willie
- 38:44Speaker 3: will blab on you because he owes me one one?
- 38:46Speaker 3: Does he owe bart one?
- 38:47Speaker 1: Well? Who did he kill? He killed Skinner? That's right, yeah, yes,
- 38:52Speaker 1: And look at the Philly skinnerhead like a knife in
- 38:54Speaker 1: the head or something that maybe that's it. Maybe that's it.
- 38:56Speaker 3: Yeah, chriss crossed like the Platinumus kilts, and he's not
- 38:58Speaker 3: running a kilt. He runs away. Listener says, well, I've
- 39:01Speaker 3: got no choice. I'm gonna have to do it. Kill you, yeah,
- 39:04Speaker 3: and she goes to kill Bart. I like the shot
- 39:06Speaker 3: here of them running up the ladder and it's just
- 39:08Speaker 3: the slide in the playground. Then they knocked Hitchcock down
- 39:12Speaker 3: the Washington Monument. What was the Washington Monument.
- 39:14Speaker 1: That's in that's the climax of north by Northwest and
- 39:18Speaker 1: someone's dangling off vant rushmooh we're there, we go. And
- 39:20Speaker 1: Hitchcock famously had a cameo in all of his movies,
- 39:23Speaker 1: Oh to stand lead it.
- 39:26Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, and then he they've only threugh like his
- 39:30Speaker 3: various paintings.
- 39:32Speaker 1: That's from Spellbound, which is Gregory Peck and Ingrid Bergman
- 39:36Speaker 1: his better known movies. But what they did was higher
- 39:40Speaker 1: legendary Sourrilla's artist Salvadore Daly to sort of provide the
- 39:45Speaker 1: artwork for the for the dream sequences, because like, some
- 39:48Speaker 1: guy goes on him under hypnosis because he's got some
- 39:50Speaker 1: sort of repressed trauma or whatever, and he's having all
- 39:53Speaker 1: these sort of weird dream visions and yeah, Dahli, the
- 39:56Speaker 1: legendary surrealist supplied all the weirdness and we see it here. Cool.
- 40:00Speaker 1: So it's just pretty much a not spot for spot,
- 40:02Speaker 1: but it's an homage. Yeah.
- 40:05Speaker 3: Then they jump on shows on the spin You I
- 40:07Speaker 3: never know what these things are called the Merry go
- 40:09Speaker 3: Around spinny.
- 40:09Speaker 1: Called Merry Go Around in the U S No No
- 40:12Speaker 1: in the in the subtitles. Do they on Disney plas?
- 40:15Speaker 1: And I was like, there's no horses. Yeah, it's not
- 40:17Speaker 1: really a marrying around. But yeah, I'm not sure what
- 40:19Speaker 1: you call it either. I was never merry on those things.
- 40:21Speaker 1: I was always sick. I always found them a great fun.
- 40:23Speaker 3: Yeah, there's always one kid that goes flying off, though
- 40:26Speaker 3: there's always better we nega go fas.
- 40:30Speaker 1: And there, you know, you sort of defy the lords
- 40:32Speaker 1: of gravity and yeah, they becomes the Gravitron. Yeah, they
- 40:36Speaker 1: iniably get a part broken.
- 40:40Speaker 3: The ice cream truck arrives, makes all the other kids
- 40:42Speaker 3: run away, and Bart's left there by himself. She tries
- 40:44Speaker 3: to stab him, and he says, look, we're made for
- 40:46Speaker 3: the same dinner. No DNA, you idiot, and then she
- 40:49Speaker 3: throws the knife in the ashes. I'm not going to
- 40:51Speaker 3: kill you. I'm that's beneath me. Throws a knife from
- 40:52Speaker 3: the air, lands on his head and kills him, and
- 40:54Speaker 3: then missus Kate and her laugh and walk off.
- 40:56Speaker 1: So that was the plan. Maybe yeh, there was like
- 40:59Speaker 1: a criss cross the secret. Yeah, so a double cross.
- 41:03Speaker 1: How I don't understand it. I don't understand it. I
- 41:07Speaker 1: freely admit like, okay, so this is.
- 41:10Speaker 3: A twiz twist. I guess you didn't see that coming.
- 41:15Speaker 3: Next segment is Cold, Don't Have a Cow Mankind, and
- 41:19Speaker 3: it starts with Kent Brockman at the launch of the
- 41:21Speaker 3: new Burger Square at the Krusty Burger. Krusty says, they
- 41:24Speaker 3: start with Grade A beef. They feed that to cows
- 41:27Speaker 3: and they kill them and serve this unholy results on
- 41:29Speaker 3: a seven grain bun.
- 41:34Speaker 1: A count advisor on the Math checks.
- 41:36Speaker 3: Out watching this the news broadcast on the TV. Lisa says,
- 41:39Speaker 3: cow and cows. It's an abomination. Like, Lisen, you're a vegetarian,
- 41:43Speaker 3: but these cows have made a different choice.
- 41:46Speaker 1: Nice.
- 41:47Speaker 3: Then Brockman's first is the first human ever to taste
- 41:50Speaker 3: this crime against nature, and he immediately turns into a
- 41:52Speaker 3: zombie and bites Krusty's arm and they all start eating
- 41:55Speaker 3: each other, and we get the intro Don't have a
- 41:57Speaker 3: cow Mankind and zombie Apocalypse has started, even with the
- 42:00Speaker 3: visuals changed. Now there's one element about this entire segment
- 42:02Speaker 3: that is different from any other segment of Treos of Horror.
- 42:05Speaker 1: What is it up to date? What is it's no music?
- 42:07Speaker 3: Oh well, which I thought was a really nice touch. Okay,
- 42:10Speaker 3: that's the tone and the vibe of you know, the
- 42:12Speaker 3: zombie popelits. No one's gonna be playing fucking music. Is
- 42:14Speaker 3: there no score? Because you watch zombie films and there's
- 42:17Speaker 3: always scored to make it eeries like silence is sometimes
- 42:19Speaker 3: even scarier. Oh yeah, yeah, but they only use music
- 42:22Speaker 3: in this one at the very end, when the world
- 42:24Speaker 3: is better and at least it's like the world's turned
- 42:27Speaker 3: better again after Bude this.
- 42:28Speaker 1: That might be the Children of Men reference, because I
- 42:31Speaker 1: don't think there's a lot of music and Children of
- 42:33Speaker 1: Men because they want to sort of emphasize the desolate
- 42:37Speaker 1: nature of a world without children, because it's been like
- 42:40Speaker 1: eighteen years since anyone gave birth to a child in
- 42:42Speaker 1: Children of Men.
- 42:43Speaker 3: Oh okay, I'll tye Children of Men's Simpsons and see
- 42:45Speaker 3: if anything comes up, or it'll be that guy was
- 42:47Speaker 3: the nine or two and it wasn't that that was
- 42:50Speaker 3: no country for old men, wasn't it.
- 42:51Speaker 1: Yeah. I can't even see any direct reference here. Yeah,
- 42:54Speaker 1: maybe that's it. Yeah, okay, but anyway, but as you
- 42:57Speaker 1: want it out, and I think I mentioned it earlier,
- 42:59Speaker 1: Yeah that, yeah, you see it sort of starts to
- 43:01Speaker 1: go documentary styles like, oh, I'm the news cameraman filming.
- 43:04Speaker 1: There's ah no, this is on me. You're taking me
- 43:06Speaker 1: in the camera goes sure. Yeah, guys, there's like twenty
- 43:08Speaker 1: eight days later kind of thing. Yeah, I'm very much
- 43:09Speaker 1: an opening credits of Dawn of the Dead kind of
- 43:12Speaker 1: thing as well.
- 43:12Speaker 3: Yeah, I remember in twenty eight days. That's the first one,
- 43:14Speaker 3: twenty weeks, twenty days. There's twenty eight days, twenty eight weeks,
- 43:17Speaker 3: and now there's twenty eight years later.
- 43:18Speaker 1: Second one, Third one? Any good? Third one's great? Okay, yeah,
- 43:21Speaker 1: third one came out earlier this year. Yeah, brilliant.
- 43:23Speaker 3: I remember when the when the first one came out,
- 43:25Speaker 3: I was like, well, that guy's Wang's out and it's
- 43:27Speaker 3: just out there, isn't it.
- 43:27Speaker 1: Oh yeah, well there's there's more wangan twenty eight years later?
- 43:32Speaker 1: Is that? Oh yeah, it's really good. Definitely worth checking out,
- 43:36Speaker 1: not just for the Wang.
- 43:37Speaker 3: So basically it says here twenty eight days later actually says,
- 43:40Speaker 3: as obviously can be, we're parodying this one. Guys and

- 43:45Speaker 3: take him to each because he's not a zombie yes,
- 43:46Speaker 3: you may want to watched it before eating, like, well,
- 43:48Speaker 3: thanks for the advice.
- 43:49Speaker 1: That's good. The man's got mo.
- 43:51Speaker 2: Well, we're not going out to help him. We have
- 43:53Speaker 2: no idea what hideous creatures might be out there.
- 43:56Speaker 1: Please let mean, how do I know you're not? I'm
- 44:00Speaker 1: your father and I need your help. I can't make
- 44:04Speaker 1: sense of that much you're talk.

- 44:36Speaker 3: want to eat any of the fruit and vegetat and
- 44:38Speaker 3: there in front of him, so he sees Ralph eating
- 44:39Speaker 3: himself looking through the telescope, and then he sees a hamburger,
- 44:42Speaker 3: one of those burgs attained to once at Krustyburger over
- 44:44Speaker 3: in the distance. Margin walks in and catches him eating it.
- 44:47Speaker 3: And Homer tries bashing him with the last book in
- 44:49Speaker 3: the world. This is like, don't do it as the
- 44:51Speaker 3: last book, and then she reads it's.
- 44:52Speaker 1: What it's our SiO. I think it's the our Seneo autobiography.
- 44:55Speaker 1: Didn't he have Ed's on TV show? Right?
- 44:57Speaker 4: Well?
- 44:57Speaker 1: Here, the ar Sennor Hall Show.
- 44:58Speaker 3: Yeah, very popular, popular for a brief time. That's the Yeah,
- 45:02Speaker 3: didn't he have somebody? Didn't he respond to racism on
- 45:05Speaker 3: that show?
- 45:05Speaker 1: Once? Was an iconic moment? Yeah? I think it was
- 45:09Speaker 1: on around the time of the Rodney King beating Okay
- 45:12Speaker 1: in nineteen ninety two, which was very much a flashpoint.
- 45:15Speaker 1: You know that sort of sparked the la riots as well,
- 45:18Speaker 1: but it hasn't changed.
- 45:19Speaker 3: Bart is where they realized that you know, oh wait,
- 45:21Speaker 3: he's the young he's the savior. He's got he's going
- 45:22Speaker 3: to be a cure for the He's going to help
- 45:24Speaker 3: them make a vaccine to cure everybody which is on
- 45:26Speaker 3: watching his going is this last of us? It's obviously
- 45:29Speaker 3: a last of us because it wasn't was when the
- 45:30Speaker 3: last of Us come out the game.
- 45:31Speaker 1: This is this is more I am legend. That's kind
- 45:33Speaker 1: of like, oh yeah, he's immune. We can use his
- 45:36Speaker 1: we can use his blood as like a I think
- 45:39Speaker 1: a lot of people have used this or a lot
- 45:40Speaker 1: of movies abuses, like he's patient zero, we can use
- 45:43Speaker 1: their blood as a as a vaccine. Yeah.
- 45:46Speaker 3: One of the first game, Last of Us, came out
- 45:47Speaker 3: twenty thirteen. Yeah, remember the Last of Us was a.
- 45:49Speaker 1: Hit TV show for one season. Absolutely that me was like,
- 45:54Speaker 1: I'm going to be your daddy. I'm like, that's the
- 45:55Speaker 1: end of that show. There was another zombie TV show
- 46:00Speaker 1: I don't know if it's on Netflix at the moment,
- 46:02Speaker 1: called z Nation. It was kind of like the the
- 46:05Speaker 1: yanky n QR version of Walking Dead because z Nation
- 46:10Speaker 1: sounds like a teen drama, but it was. But that's
- 46:14Speaker 1: a big plot point of z Nation is like, oh,
- 46:17Speaker 1: there's this one guy who was in jail and they
- 46:19Speaker 1: were running experiments to try and find a vaccine for
- 46:21Speaker 1: the zombie outbreak. Oh, and this guy got bitten by
- 46:24Speaker 1: a zombies. But he's not dead. Clearly he's the guy
- 46:27Speaker 1: or we can we can turn his blood into a vaccine,
- 46:29Speaker 1: but we have to get him across country through a
- 46:31Speaker 1: z nation through you know, the United Nates, the United
- 46:34Speaker 1: States of Zombie. It's no good, but it's great if
- 46:38Speaker 1: you know what I mean. It's like, oh, this show
- 46:39Speaker 1: is terrible, but I'm really enjoying watching it. Guilty pleasure.
- 46:43Speaker 1: Guilty pleasure. Absolutely So sometimes when they're shit and they
- 46:45Speaker 1: know they're shit, that makes them good. But one other thing. Sorry,
- 46:50Speaker 1: Then they made like a spin off of that called
- 46:53Speaker 1: Black Summer because they elude in z nation, they've learned
- 46:55Speaker 1: to Oh shit, Black Summer. That was bad. That was
- 46:58Speaker 1: you know, when the zombie outbreak happened. They made a
- 47:00Speaker 1: show call Black Some that they went for two seasons
- 47:02Speaker 1: and it was fucking yeah. It was. I mean, it
- 47:05Speaker 1: made the Walking Dead just look like what was according it?
- 47:08Speaker 1: Black Summer? Black Summer, Okay, yeah, really nasty, just brutal,
- 47:13Speaker 1: but so good. Yeah. So if someone what's that on?
- 47:15Speaker 1: It's on Netflix? Okay, So if listeners view was if
- 47:19Speaker 1: you like a good zombie movie, like one that just
- 47:22Speaker 1: doesn't take any prisoners, yeah, Black Summer, check it out.
- 47:24Speaker 3: But Homer says, we need to protect a Bart at
- 47:26Speaker 3: all costs as he's choking him and Hibbitt with his head.
- 47:31Speaker 3: They get through to Hibbitt. Hibbitt's basically saying he's fighting
- 47:33Speaker 3: off zombies at the same time, saying, what wouldn't it
- 47:35Speaker 3: was a really badass moves. Yeah, he said, his blood
- 47:37Speaker 3: is the key to saving humanity. I mean to get
- 47:39Speaker 3: into it, to the safe space. There's a safe space
- 47:41Speaker 3: out there somewhere. And he says, tell my wife that
- 47:43Speaker 3: I love her. Misunderstands you're saying. He just understands him.
- 47:46Speaker 1: You mean I love her. I'm meaning you as he has.
- 47:50Speaker 3: Eaten by zombies. Omer and Butt then leave no loud noises.
- 47:54Speaker 3: Oh man, that breeze feels good. All the zombies come
- 47:56Speaker 3: out of everywhere, they burst into the house, and how
- 47:59Speaker 3: much is going If you're I'm a kid watching this,
- 48:01Speaker 3: I'd be genuinely scared at this point.
- 48:03Speaker 1: Oh yeah. There's an ad a series of ads currently
- 48:06Speaker 1: on television for the Kia automobile range, but they're set
- 48:09Speaker 1: in the zombie apocalypse. I've ever seen those. No, I
- 48:11Speaker 1: don't know how they came up with. I mean, clearly
- 48:13Speaker 1: the ad agents just kind of like it, wouldn't it
- 48:15Speaker 1: be fun to be a zombie movie? Except we're in advertising,
- 48:17Speaker 1: so you know, let's picture it the key. It's like, oh,
- 48:20Speaker 1: these cars are really silent, so they won't disturb in
- 48:21Speaker 1: his zombies. That's our new range of electric bells or whatever.
- 48:24Speaker 1: So they've got all these, you know. Uh, it's day
- 48:28Speaker 1: three hundred the zombie Apocalypse and I'm out of coffee.
- 48:30Speaker 1: Time to go to the supermarket. They're driving along in
- 48:32Speaker 1: this silent car and not bothering any zombies. But it's
- 48:34Speaker 1: got pretty high production values.
- 48:35Speaker 3: Yeah, there's another going around. It always seems to pop
- 48:38Speaker 3: up when we watch free to air TV. It's people
- 48:40Speaker 3: stuck in like this quicksand yeah, and someone goes it's
- 48:43Speaker 3: almost like being stuck in to mergage or something. Nicole
- 48:46Speaker 3: always watch like that is just ridiculous.
- 48:48Speaker 1: That's a stretch.
- 48:49Speaker 3: Yeah, like you guys stuck in now. Yeah, Yeah, it's
- 48:52Speaker 3: like being stuck with the mortgage or something like that.
- 48:54Speaker 1: Nicola.
- 48:54Speaker 3: Can't happen, slav everytomic comes on. But so they've been
- 48:57Speaker 3: chased out through the house. I didn't mind this. It's
- 49:01Speaker 3: to the panic room. We don't have one, to the
- 49:02Speaker 3: panic room store. Yeah, and Bain tries to save them,
- 49:05Speaker 3: another politician who can't keep his promises. Then a poo
- 49:08Speaker 3: gets his time to shine here. He arrives and he's
- 49:11Speaker 3: going to help them leads into his car. He's going
- 49:13Speaker 3: to drive barred to the safe space to save humanity.
- 49:16Speaker 3: It was really gruesome be here when he runs over
- 49:18Speaker 3: Molman's head his brain Like, yeah, for a funny visual,
- 49:22Speaker 3: but it's just brain's coming out, like even I think
- 49:25Speaker 3: it's tres of horror too, where they're making Frankenstein, but
- 49:28Speaker 3: it's Homer and Burns rips the brain out of his body,
- 49:30Speaker 3: makes a snapping sound. I'm like, yeah, so there's always
- 49:33Speaker 3: like stem parts. Yeah, just gross.
- 49:36Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 49:37Speaker 3: So they're driving around who said that he survived because
- 49:40Speaker 3: he didn't eat a burger because he's a vegetarian, and
- 49:42Speaker 3: plus he's a convenience store workers armed to the team
- 49:44Speaker 3: as well. And then he smashes through the glass and
- 49:47Speaker 3: the zombies are annoyed. We need windows too, And then
- 49:50Speaker 3: he gets marched because Helen Lovejoy has now jumped on
- 49:52Speaker 3: zombie Lovejoy has jumped onto the front windscreen. He gets
- 49:54Speaker 3: marched to shoot her. She can apologize in hallevern know
- 49:57Speaker 3: she's the godmother. Then they crash the car.
- 50:00Speaker 1: We'll get out on push matter what, but must make
- 50:03Speaker 1: it through this safe zone.
- 50:11Speaker 4: I was so noble of a pull to give us
- 50:14Speaker 4: life for us, where are you going?
- 50:16Speaker 1: You're supposed to stop put the bottom.
- 50:17Speaker 5: Right for me.
- 50:21Speaker 3: Then the car just just randomly runs out of petrol,
- 50:23Speaker 3: and no one says anything, just like pulls over, and
- 50:25Speaker 3: I was like, why she pulled over a petrol's jokes?
- 50:27Speaker 3: Yeh okay, they're dight a petrol. Oh bit fine that.
- 50:29Speaker 3: Then Bart jumps on Lisa's shoulders and she hits him
- 50:32Speaker 3: in the head with the tree the branch because he's
- 50:34Speaker 3: on his shoulders annoying her. Then then Homer sees mister
- 50:36Speaker 3: Burns and Spiders who have clearly had a car accident
- 50:38Speaker 3: and they're dead. Homer mocks him, who's unproductive? Who's an
- 50:41Speaker 3: unproductive worker? Now rips off his nose and then Burns
- 50:43Speaker 3: bites Homer and he's now turned into a muncha. So
- 50:46Speaker 3: he turns into a different kind of muncha because every
- 50:48Speaker 3: other moncha, and this becomes a vicious.
- 50:50Speaker 1: Kind of million yes, a little bit of astraint due.
- 50:53Speaker 3: So he's just this random, typical zombie. He's not actually
- 50:56Speaker 3: eating anybody. So they're walking around saying, Dad, do you
- 50:59Speaker 3: get bitten by?
- 51:00Speaker 1: Zombie?
- 51:00Speaker 3: Blobs on about brains, and then Bart grabs the gun
- 51:03Speaker 3: and says, you want in the mouth of the eyes,
- 51:04Speaker 3: the mountain eye as it is. But then they are
- 51:07Speaker 3: crazy guy arrived. Much as we'll get you to the
- 51:08Speaker 3: safe space because if we get there, we can cure
- 51:11Speaker 3: you can cure a Homer. There are crazy guys there
- 51:13Speaker 3: saying you think there's a safe space.
- 51:14Speaker 1: Do you think there is? It's right over there. They enter.
- 51:17Speaker 1: Hold it right there, Bob.
- 51:19Speaker 6: What kind of civilized people eat the body and blood
- 51:23Speaker 6: of their savior?
- 51:26Speaker 3: Then by it comes up with an idea and we
- 51:28Speaker 3: cut to the first bit of music in the segment.
- 51:30Speaker 3: Everyone's at peace, it's all great, everyone's happy, and all
- 51:33Speaker 3: they had to do was that bad take a bath
- 51:35Speaker 3: in their food. I mean, look, if this prevents the
- 51:37Speaker 3: zombie apocalypse, I'm going to be eating food that someone's bathing.
- 51:39Speaker 1: I guess. So, yeah, it's worth it. I would hope
- 51:43Speaker 1: that they would maybe have a bath themselves before that.
- 51:46Speaker 1: I go find a nice river or something, and you know,
- 51:48Speaker 1: maybe give the give the problem areas a bit of
- 51:51Speaker 1: a rinse. Yeah, the problem. Now it's time for the
- 51:55Speaker 1: final segment, which was yeah, pretty lackluster. Really, there's no
- 51:58Speaker 1: business like my business. All right, we're going we'd run
- 52:00Speaker 1: this one. Yeah, it's just.
- 52:01Speaker 3: The stage show, said at Moe's at the top of
- 52:03Speaker 3: the bottom like sweeny to so the meat the meat
- 52:05Speaker 3: pile places underneath or whatever. Yes, yeah, so he it's
- 52:09Speaker 3: just it's where he bruises beer. Down below, Moe is
- 52:12Speaker 3: sad because no one finds him attractive. He offers Barney
- 52:15Speaker 3: a micro brew, but the tap seems to be blocked,
- 52:18Speaker 3: so he sends down like a vipero.
- 52:19Speaker 1: Python was like, you think they right in there? Better
- 52:23Speaker 1: send down this cobra cobra, that's what it is.
- 52:24Speaker 3: Yet he realized it's not working, so he goes downstairs
- 52:27Speaker 3: to try and fix it as well, and Homer takes
- 52:28Speaker 3: this moment to grab the unattended tap, which is like
- 52:30Speaker 3: taking beer from a baby.
- 52:32Speaker 1: I do like the song that he's singing though, because
- 52:34Speaker 1: he's one of the lyrics that Moe was singing is
- 52:36Speaker 1: like shoot me a qut whose standards are low? Yeah?
- 52:39Speaker 1: Who among us we can relate?
- 52:40Speaker 4: Yes.
- 52:40Speaker 3: Homan then accidentally falls onto the spikes and the poles below. However,
- 52:44Speaker 3: Relax slides down Relax door, Relax, and he can't bring
- 52:48Speaker 3: himself to talemage.
- 52:49Speaker 1: Moe can't.
- 52:49Speaker 3: Ah, it will break her heart. So she says she's
- 52:53Speaker 3: so beautiful, she gives me wings. He flies up, hits
- 52:55Speaker 3: his head and the light and whatnot. Then he says
- 52:57Speaker 3: that Homer left her and he never loved her anyway,
- 52:59Speaker 3: and then they he homost help.
- 53:00Speaker 1: Me or at least kill me. Is this where most
- 53:03Speaker 1: says in unrelated news, I just put on cologne? I
- 53:07Speaker 1: think it was.
- 53:07Speaker 3: Yes, yeah, this is also studying to be a ventriloquius,
- 53:09Speaker 3: which is what the voice is downstairs. Then blood drops
- 53:13Speaker 3: into the beer.
- 53:15Speaker 6: There's something not about this beer. It tastes like codling.
- 53:20Speaker 6: It tastes like clean clothes. It tastes like hot, steaming
- 53:25Speaker 6: cocoa mixed with rainbows.
- 53:28Speaker 1: It was for bodied, full blooded. It's such a lovely plant.
- 53:33Speaker 4: It's jelly.
- 53:35Speaker 5: It's loyal, like drinking your best friend.
- 53:39Speaker 1: I stop my crying.
- 53:42Speaker 4: Why I don't know, but this rosy, cozy bubbles in
- 53:48Speaker 4: my nosy makes me wanna have.
- 53:54Speaker 3: Moll So is that the is there a some sweny
- 54:00Speaker 3: Tod where it's like the pies taste so good because
- 54:01Speaker 3: there's blood in it.
- 54:03Speaker 1: Look, I wouldn't call myself a Swingy Todd super fan,
- 54:06Speaker 1: but I just recall that everybody likes the pies because
- 54:08Speaker 1: it's like, what's this magic ingredient, human pies? Human flesh?
- 54:11Speaker 1: Who doesn't like pies? Right? I know you have to
- 54:13Speaker 1: be some kind of monster. Yeah, except the Australian version
- 54:15Speaker 1: of a pie. Well you're talking about we didn't have.
- 54:18Speaker 1: I didn't have like a cherry pies in America, you didn't.
- 54:21Speaker 1: I never had one of those. I don't have beef
- 54:23Speaker 1: pies there, do they? You know have them in England?
- 54:26Speaker 1: Not really? No? Yeah, I used not mind a pork
- 54:29Speaker 1: pie when I was in England. Loves port pies. Yeah, pie,
- 54:31Speaker 1: pork pie just sounds funny. Pie. Yeah, but that's the
- 54:34Speaker 1: thing people, so I'm going for In America, you're usually
- 54:37Speaker 1: getting some sweet pat what's pot pie? Not kidding, map Yeah,
- 54:41Speaker 1: chicken pot pie? Yeah, like yeah, little little pies because
- 54:44Speaker 1: pork pie is quite small. Yeah yeah, but I think
- 54:47Speaker 1: they call it a pot pies. But you wouldn't. You
- 54:49Speaker 1: wouldn't say I'm going for a pie. I'm going to
- 54:51Speaker 1: get a pie.
- 54:52Speaker 3: But she says she's no longer crying. Marg just this
- 54:54Speaker 3: this beer has made her feel so much better. But
- 54:57Speaker 3: it makes her want to have mo which I thought
- 54:59Speaker 3: was a nice play on that's there because in the
- 55:01Speaker 3: means more and in general correct. Then the aliens are
- 55:03Speaker 3: in the crowd, and he says he's the best play
- 55:06Speaker 3: in light years and that's.
- 55:07Speaker 1: Just not funny. They've been at all not funny.
- 55:09Speaker 3: More then flirts with Marge and he reads out the
- 55:11Speaker 3: Homer that the letter that Homer wrote, sorry, I should
- 55:14Speaker 3: say on most paper in his handwriting using his idioms
- 55:18Speaker 3: and speech pans d image. And he doesn't know the
- 55:20Speaker 3: kids names as you're saying, that does sound like home,
- 55:22Speaker 3: and they do not know the kids' names. And he says,
- 55:24Speaker 3: I'm gay. Keep winning it gets him in gay. Homer
- 55:26Speaker 3: then sings about being gay, which is like the song
- 55:29Speaker 3: is quite funny.
- 55:30Speaker 1: Oh yeah, well turning gay.
- 55:32Speaker 2: The other day a thought occurred to me, I'd like
- 55:36Speaker 2: to try most every guy from here to jimbutie, oh,
- 55:43Speaker 2: there's so many men around the world of appreciate bend side.
- 55:46Speaker 2: I want the nearby lunch and making jerks Terry are
- 55:49Speaker 2: good dies. I want a French kiss as a Frenchman.
- 55:52Speaker 1: And spoon in English duke cost frankly dear to not
- 55:55Speaker 1: bequere just makes me.
- 55:57Speaker 2: Want a puke. So find yourself a mare, and who
- 56:00Speaker 2: want you win?
- 56:01Speaker 1: No Sacks.
- 56:02Speaker 2: I recommend doctor old friend.
- 56:04Speaker 1: My tender Moses.
- 56:11Speaker 3: Then he asked Marge if she's keen, and she says, ah, maybe.
- 56:14Speaker 3: He says, I'll get you a little bit more of
- 56:16Speaker 3: the milk of amnesia. Then he goes downstairs and it's
- 56:18Speaker 3: Moros confused. I was like, wait a minute, so, so
- 56:20Speaker 3: who's not there? Yeah, home's nice because he looked dead
- 56:22Speaker 3: to me. And then Homer's still getting changed in his costumes.
- 56:26Speaker 3: Moe has to improvise here, which I thought was actually
- 56:28Speaker 3: quite a funny day joke, so he says it ran
- 56:30Speaker 3: to an Irish man really rally.
- 56:34Speaker 1: Yeah, it's a good joke. Yeah.
- 56:35Speaker 3: Then Homy gets into position, they get back on with
- 56:38Speaker 3: the play. He squeezes more blood into the beer. Then
- 56:40Speaker 3: Agnes gets a phone call in the audience and she's like,
- 56:42Speaker 3: I'm watching a play. Wait, Radiator, it's a new or
- 56:45Speaker 3: rebuilt And I was like, there's no gag here.
- 56:47Speaker 1: This is really weird.
- 56:49Speaker 3: So Margen drinks it and she says she's never felt
- 56:51Speaker 3: so uncreeped by Mo and she admits it's time to
- 56:54Speaker 3: move on, and she cries, but her tears wake up
- 56:56Speaker 3: Homer who was downstairs. So I'm just lost.
- 57:01Speaker 1: It's not very well thought out. Yeah, it's pretty weird segment.
- 57:04Speaker 3: Mo then sings about how he's creepy when he has sex,
- 57:06Speaker 3: So you can only have sex in the back of
- 57:08Speaker 3: the purse, dresses a Civil War nurse go through her purse,
- 57:11Speaker 3: that kind of thing. But you could do worse, and
- 57:13Speaker 3: bar Flights say, we have proof that you could do worse.
- 57:15Speaker 3: And he's about to say She's about to say I
- 57:18Speaker 3: could do worse, and I was like, no, you can't
- 57:19Speaker 3: do worse. He interrupts and he throws my away and
- 57:21Speaker 3: then throws away the fake dummy Mo. Then he asks
- 57:24Speaker 3: if she could ever love a man who was half
- 57:25Speaker 3: beer half man. She says, well, I always have, and
- 57:28Speaker 3: then the car say hope you enjoy this. She's Halloween
- 57:30Speaker 3: show and the alien is asleep, and that's the end
- 57:32Speaker 3: of the segment, and that's the end of the show. Yeah,
- 57:34Speaker 3: really weird ending. Yeah, yeah, funny, it wasn't. If you
- 57:38Speaker 3: don't know sow any Todd, you like, what the hell.
- 57:39Speaker 1: Is going on? Correct? Yeah, I'm wondering how if it
- 57:43Speaker 1: would have worked better if they'd rearrange the segments at all,
- 57:45Speaker 1: if they maybe had I don't have a cow mankind
- 57:49Speaker 1: at the very end.
- 57:50Speaker 3: I just need to end with this one because the
- 57:54Speaker 3: way it was set up, I feel like it would
- 57:55Speaker 3: have lost me as a viewer if I was watching
- 57:57Speaker 3: on TV. That was the second scene.
- 57:58Speaker 1: Oh that's true. That's a good point.
- 57:59Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, that's the first two were strong. Absolutely, Yeah,
- 58:03Speaker 3: I at least appreciate they went. They tried something different.
- 58:05Speaker 3: They had a swing, bit of a miss.
- 58:07Speaker 1: You move on. That's very charited. Pencils have a ratis
- 58:12Speaker 1: all right?
- 58:13Speaker 3: So that is Trios of Horror twenty Another fine installment.
- 58:16Speaker 3: Not my favorite, but I did enjoy the second one
- 58:17Speaker 3: the most. You enjoyed the first one of the most because
- 58:19Speaker 3: you're a be Kitchok fan.
- 58:20Speaker 1: Correct? Yes, what do we learn, Bomber? What you learn
- 58:23Speaker 1: from the episode that one should not eat a cow
- 58:27Speaker 1: that has already eaten another cow? Although I think we
- 58:29Speaker 1: probably already have done that.
- 58:31Speaker 3: I mean, Parker of Stone have fed bacon to picks,
- 58:32Speaker 3: haven't they.
- 58:33Speaker 1: Correct?
- 58:34Speaker 3: Yes, I learned, just don't trust any debt being a
- 58:38Speaker 3: proven innocent in the end. What happened with all that?
- 58:42Speaker 1: Well, he's been signed to play the lead in a
- 58:45Speaker 1: new version of a Christmas Carol. Okay, it's coming up
- 58:48Speaker 1: pretty soon, so another one. Keep it.
- 58:53Speaker 3: Can't come up with an original Christmas story, I keep telling
- 58:56Speaker 3: the same one. Yeah, it's like, if you're going to
- 58:57Speaker 3: do Scrooge again, maybe do screw. You're always coming up
- 59:02Speaker 3: with movie ideas, right, you need to come up with
- 59:05Speaker 3: an ozsy Christmas comedy. There is none I already have.
- 59:09Speaker 1: Oh have I? No, what's the what's gonna be a
- 59:11Speaker 1: brief snopsters? Then? Hm, I haven't copyrighted this or anything.
- 59:15Speaker 3: So well, now this is this is going to be officially,
- 59:18Speaker 3: this is this becoming as a people No, God, David
- 59:21Speaker 3: said this then, so it's officially yours.
- 59:23Speaker 1: Okay, we're time stamping this. Yeah, today is the twenty
- 59:27Speaker 1: twenty ninth, as we recall this twenty ninth of October
- 59:29Speaker 1: twenty twenty five. I am. I've written a treatment for
- 59:32Speaker 1: something called to All, a good heist set in like
- 59:36Speaker 1: a little seaside town, like Sea Change kind of town
- 59:38Speaker 1: in Australia. Yes, you've got like a twelve year old
- 59:41Speaker 1: boy and his struggling single mum. Their dad was a
- 59:44Speaker 1: footy legend who has recently passed away at local footy legend. Yeah,
- 59:48Speaker 1: still working that out. No maybe the say local footy
- 59:51Speaker 1: legend Yeah oh no, no sorry, he was like an
- 59:53Speaker 1: AFL legend. And the little boy's prize possession is a
- 59:57Speaker 1: Grand Final ball that's signed by his late and all
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: his teammates who won the Grandfi who won the Grandfather,
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: which is the super Bowl of Australian football. Yes, yes,
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: One day he takes at to school for show and
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: tales like this is the footy that my dad when
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: we want the Grandfather and all that, and evil punk
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: kid son of the town's richest man, steals it to
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: sort of win his dad's approval. It's like, my dad
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: loves footy. I'm gonna give this to my dad because
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: the old because that dude runs the town. The cops
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: can't do anything, even the young rookie constable who's the
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: boyfriend of the single mum. So what can the mum do.
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: She has to call on her near do well younger
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: brother who's fresh out of the slammer because he's a
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: cat burglar. We have to do a heist before Christmas.
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: He has to break into the big sort of Hemsworth
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: style of state and get it back and yeah, Shenanigans
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: in's you have everyone learns a nice lesson about Christmas,
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: about redemption, about giving and receiving.
- 1:00:51Speaker 3: So where's the Christmas. It's just set at Christmas time.
- 1:00:53Speaker 3: Just sat a Chrismas time. Okay, so it's not a
- 1:00:55Speaker 3: Christmas movie. It's just set at Christmas time.
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: Oh yeah, you won from me?
- 1:00:59Speaker 3: Maybe they and be like not being able to get
- 1:01:01Speaker 3: it vost or hope and then he bows in the sky.
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: Could it be? Could it be bad? But anyway, let
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: us know what you think of that idea and if
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: you know anyone at Netflix or stand who wants to
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: bankroll it, have you pitches the people? No?
- 1:01:18Speaker 3: Okay, so to all the good highs and it's it's
- 1:01:20Speaker 3: worth it just in the name, absolutely to all the
- 1:01:22Speaker 3: good heist?
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: Yeah did you do? Start at titles and then work
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: back from oh absolutely, fuck Flott and characters and does
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: it look good? And Opposter? Who?
- 1:01:34Speaker 3: So who are you envisioning to be there? Who would
- 1:01:37Speaker 3: be your ideal person to be the consortable or the
- 1:01:40Speaker 3: deputy or whatever the guy doing the heist?
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: I was gonna I was thinking my man Charlie Clawson
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: could be in there somewhere. It's got to be younger though,
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: I think, Yeah, Charlie, like all of us, is getting
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: on on your ears. I'm still looking incredibly handsome straight
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: as Colin Farrell on that man, I did write in
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: the notes that I was taken down as like a
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: nice cameo over Aiman Harryman, who you know who he is? Yeah?
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: He is in He played Charles Manson not once but
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: twice twice. Is Manson in Once upon a Time in Hollywood? Yeah?
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: And also in the TV series mind Hunter, What's upon
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: a Time? Yeah? Good actor? All right? Do you have
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: a child actor in mind? Probably he's doing the heighst though?
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: Is it just a cousin? Was it is?
- 1:02:21Speaker 3: The twelve year old tagging along you stay home and
- 1:02:23Speaker 3: then he gets and he's like, I told you, yeah,
- 1:02:25Speaker 3: you've got You've.
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: Got this rag tag little sort of piss weeek Ocean's
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: eleven team of like you know, the cat Burglar brother
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: and the kid gets in there somehow, the best mate. Yeah,
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: he's always in love with it. He's too scared to
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: tell that, right, Yeah, and the cat Burglar brother, you know,
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: he eventually forms a relationship with like some either surf
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: shop owner or marine biologist. He brings a cat, brings
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: a cat. Yeah, everyone's playing their part, even the trophy
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: wife of the of the big bad guy, and even
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: and then and the kid learns a little something too.
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: He learns that he did the wrong thing. Okay. Co
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: written by Guy Davis and Chat GIPT to all the
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: good heist I have. I'm not ashamed to admit I've
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: done that more than once I've had like, look, I've
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: got this kind of idea. Help me flesh this out, GPT.
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: Sure thing, guy, what a great idea, by the way,
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: and all sort of throw a bunch of cliches stubbers like, yeah,
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: that bit sucks. But maybe to all the good heighst
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: coming to a theater near you, Probably not, but maybe
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: to a streaming service. Maybe make me a radio play.
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: Possibly anyway we make a podcast, FFD, you should sort
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: of you know, branch.
- 1:03:36Speaker 3: Out, Yeah, to all good heights. I think a crime,
- 1:03:39Speaker 3: true crime. It's a comedy, a true kin comedy that's fictional.

- 1:04:09Speaker 1: From miss day forward. Your names will be all right.
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: So let's get into the Guy devis Nion Championship, shall
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: we please? We should be cutting all that out anyway.
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: We've got it on the record now, so that's good,
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: we do.
- 1:04:21Speaker 3: Indeed, yes, So the current leaderboard stands at this in
- 1:04:24Speaker 3: first position, we have Carl Muldoon on six points. Now,
- 1:04:27Speaker 3: there was a mistake I need to apologize to one.
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: Justin Williams.
- 1:04:31Speaker 3: You've got three points one week and only gave him
- 1:04:32Speaker 3: one point, so apologies.
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: Justin Williams.
- 1:04:35Speaker 3: You are now in second position, tied with Nathan Briggs
- 1:04:38Speaker 3: and Phil Hawkins on three points. Wow, and in third
- 1:04:41Speaker 3: position both on one point. We have Jack McFadden and
- 1:04:43Speaker 3: Dave McNally.
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: Take it away. Let's see what happened. Maybe Princell will
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: get some points this time. Who knows? Maybe? Yes? All right,
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: one point goes too and because of the Treehouse of Horror.
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: It's not triple word score or something like that, but
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: you do have to give us new names for each segment. Yeah,
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: we do. Yeah, and guess what everyone get came through?
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: Everyone just knows. Now everyone did well, but these people
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: did better than those people. So one point goes to Hitchcockup,
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: dead End drive Through and Secret of the Booze. That
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: would be Clever Carver. Car climbs even further away. Now
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: on seven points, he is now winning by four? What on, Kyle, Well,
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: let's see what happens when someone gets two points for
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: these following titles. Chris Cross will make You Kill Kill.
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: That's a bit of a shout out to some nineties
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: hip hop you're aware of the song jump Jump by
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: the band Chris Cross. I'm assuming yes. If you're not,
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: get on Spotify and check it out Absolute hip hop jam.
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: Those kids will clothes backwards, that was their gimmick. Yeah.
- 1:05:42Speaker 3: I hardly has a friend at daycare who only wears
- 1:05:45Speaker 3: her shirts backwards. She will not weark it the right
- 1:05:47Speaker 3: way around. I was like, okay, I was like, do
- 1:05:50Speaker 3: you shirts back? Your dad's Like she had like a
- 1:05:52Speaker 3: that like an open night last night He's like she
- 1:05:54Speaker 3: wrote wear a shirtless is on backwards.
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: I was like, cool, jump jump, real bang, twenty eight
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: calories later, twenty sorry, twenty eight hundred calories later and
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: no better booze. That is Adam Woolhouse with his first
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: points of the season. What on Adam, Welcome to the
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: wood House? Two points yes, and three points goes to
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: murder She won't the Burgers are dead at yes. I'm
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: guessing this person might be Australia. Uh and Homer Brew.
- 1:06:28Speaker 3: Homer Brew, I'm going to say it. Three points goes
- 1:06:32Speaker 3: to Philip J. Hawkins. If he gets three points, he
- 1:06:34Speaker 3: gets the full Phillip Jay Hawkins. Unfortunately he's still only
- 1:06:36Speaker 3: in second position though, that puts him on six points.
- 1:06:39Speaker 3: So in first position clever Kyle on seven, in second
- 1:06:42Speaker 3: Phil Hawkins on six.
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: But we gave you the day for a minute there,
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: so that's a preview of coming attractions, Philip, Jamie.
- 1:06:49Speaker 3: Keep going, Yeah, you're only one point behind Kyle. Now
- 1:06:51Speaker 3: and third position, we have a three way tie. It
- 1:06:52Speaker 3: is Nathan Briggs. No, it's a two way tigers. Phil's
- 1:06:55Speaker 3: moved up, so it's Nathan Briggs and Justin Williams, both
- 1:06:57Speaker 3: on three points.
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: Phil. That was by the way, you shout out for
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: your doing the the Australian slogan for hungry jacks. I
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: don't know if they have that elsewhere, but your beggars
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: are the Bergs are better at hungry jacks slogan though,
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: But you can't unprove it. No, I mean you can
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: have your own opinion. You can have your own opinion bad.
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: You can go and have a whopper and go. I
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: think I prefer a quarter pounder. But yeah, you could
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: easily that the burger is a better hungry Jack. What
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: are you who you gonna ask?
- 1:07:26Speaker 3: And it's to me, it's better than saying we're the
- 1:07:27Speaker 3: world's greatest burger. It's likes are better. Well, yeah, that's
- 1:07:30Speaker 3: you can get there, but the BG's a better here.
- 1:07:33Speaker 3: Otherwise you end up like Will Ferrell and elphants like.
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: I gave that the world's best cup of coffee. If
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: you if you're walking through all the slogans, it's like,
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: you know, what do you we having with it tonight?
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: Mac is I'm loving it? Yeah, it's not bad, KFC,
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: I don't care. I love it. Yeah, I think, Well
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: they got rid of that now I know it's a shame,
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: but now it's now it's Genesis. Yeah, but it's like
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: looking good. That sounds pretty yummy. But the burgers are better,
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: And you're like, well, you know what, I better find
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: out if the burgers are Yeah, I mean you're telling
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: me this, but better find out for myself.
- 1:08:02Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm going for the burgers are better, Ellie. If
- 1:08:04Speaker 3: I've never tried any of them, I'm gone for burgers
- 1:08:06Speaker 3: are better first, right.
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: Yeah, because you hear that, you're curiously, Ah, they don't, couldn't.
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: They must be They've got the balls to say that.
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: They must be good. You got to back that ship up. Yes,
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: all right.
- 1:08:18Speaker 3: That is a review of Trios of Horror twenty The
- 1:08:20Speaker 3: next episode any other Things season twenty one that we
- 1:08:23Speaker 3: shall be revealing. It's called The Devil wes Nada, where
- 1:08:25Speaker 3: apparently Marge posters for a calendard damn hod damn.
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: I always thought that was just like a porno parody title,

- 1:10:04Speaker 1: very happy. This is written a director by my man,
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: Jim Woenorski. He's made. He has been described as the
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: Martin scorsesea B movies. There is Yeah, my friend Sammie
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: Steve is like Facebook friends with him. There is a
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: terrific documentary about him called Popatopoulos where he tries to
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: make a soft cool porn slash horror movie in like
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: three days. And he's just kind of a bearish individual.
