Linda Dingle Gadson, one of the first four Black women to graduate from the College of Charleston in 1972, passed away at 76 after battling health complications. Her historic graduation was a turning point for civil rights and education nationwide. While raising her son as a student, she endured racism and violence but persevered through faith. A lifelong advocate, she served her community through Rural Mission, Inc., and acted as a lawyer, doctor, and counselor without formal degrees, guided by wisdom and conviction.
